Моля майки кажете, бебето, родено в Ирландия получава Ирландско гражданство, нали? А родителите имат ли право да подадат документи за резиденс покрай него, или това е важало само до 1 януари 2005 г.? А сега какъв е варианта?

Мисля, че промениха закона. Детето не получава вече автоматично гражданство. Незнам как стоят нещата с родителите, мисля че зависи с какъв статут са

1. WHAT IS THE POSITION IN RELATION TO PERSONS BORN IN THE ISLAND
OF IRELAND BEFORE 1 JANUARY 2005?
Every person born on the island of Ireland before 1 January 2005 is entitled to be an Irish
citizen.
2. WHAT IS THE POSITION IN RELATION TO PERSONS BORN IN THE ISLAND
OF IRELAND ON OR AFTER 1 JANUARY 2005?
The citizenship entitlement of every person born on the island of Ireland on or after 1
January 2005 depends on the citizenship of the person’s parents at the time of the person’s
birth.
A person born in the island of Ireland on or after 1 January 2005 is entitled to be an Irish
citizen if at the time of birth that person had a parent who was one of the following:
(a) an Irish citizen or entitled to be an Irish citizen;
(b) a non-national entitled to reside in the State without any restriction on his or her period of
residence (including in accordance with a permission granted under section 4 of the Immigration
Act 2004);
(c) a British citizen;
(d) a non-national entitled under the immigration laws of the United Kingdom to reside in the
United Kingdom (and thus Northern Ireland) without any restriction on his or her period of
residence; OR
(e) a non national, other than a non national to whom (b), (c) or (d) above applies, who
satisfies the “reckonable residence” requirement at the time of the child’s birth.
