Blast from the past! I can't figure out if it's better to wear it in the evening or during the day. It is strong so its good for evening but it is also powdery and floral, a bit light, so it is good for the day too. Again, my mom wore this one so again it reminds me of childhood. That year my country was bombed so we had to sleep in the basement. But, since I played with moms make up and perfumes all the time, this bottle was my most valuable possession. I pretended it was a diamond that needs to be hidden because bad people are trying to steal it. I sprayed it on my Barbie dolls and my Barbie house so the whole basement smelled like Chopard. My collection needed this perfume just because. I see that a lot of people dislike it and maybe it is really not that good but it has sentimental value to me and I will always have a bottle of it.

Love love this oldie. I have had it in the past before i discovered the now discontinued L de Lolita which was my signature scent for a long time. Love the vanilla in this and vanilla together with rose and fresia is projecting good on my skin. My skin eats perfume like a maniac so only the so called power bombs remain. Bit this one isn't a power bomb its a more shy version of Angel without the synthetic burned smell Angel has. I prefer this one above Angel. Longtivity moderate at least on my skin.

Alva2023

This is a pretty nice 90's vibe scent the first few hours. The white florals and honey is what is notice most. Sadly it dries into something sickening and horribly sour - I think it's the incense+amber+jasmine combo that starts to smell like cigarette smoke and sweat. Gave me a horrible headache. I really wanted to like it because of the introductory notes, but I've had to throw it away.

VanillaFaith

A pleasant smell that could be worn at all times. It has red berry notes on top that heavily disguises the vanilla and more deep notes in the perfume. Not headache inducing in any way despite having fruity notes. I would rate it average for myself as I would not wear it.

I was so excited to try this one, but, like a lot of the reviews said, something in this formula must've been changed. I got a deep greenish blue colored juice in my bottle, not the brilliant blue that I was expecting. The cap is cheap plastic, and the collar around the nozzle feels extremely cheap too. The only part of the bottle that has the signature "Chopard" cursive is a "C" on the cap, but the "Chopard" label around the collar is in this cheap block font. Really unimpressive, given that I've had a couple Chopard scents before so I know they're usually super weighty, heavy, with a thick metal magnetic cap.
The scent: underwhelming to the point of sadness. It smells mature, complicated, and sour. The formula already smells like it's been pulled out of an estate sale, even when it's fresh out of the box. I so desperately wanted to love this scent, but everything is pointing to reselling it.
I'll wear it around for a couple days, try a couple things with it, but my hopes are lowwwwwww.

I have no idea how this could ever be compared to Angel. It’s an awful floral jumble which reminds me of if Casmir and some weird love child with something like Trésor or Volupte. Not my thing at all.

Cydonia_Merula

I had it two times already. First time in summer 2010. I remember my husband (back then he wasn't my husband) chose this one for me (and I still sometimes choose perfumes for him!); I remember it was fresh, citrusy, airy. Can't tell how long it lasted on my skin, but definitely I had nice memories with this one!

miiilaala

a very strong, woody, airy scent. this was a blind buy as i saw it was described as “sweet”. i’d say it’s more bitter than sweet in the opening, but as it lays down you can slightly sense some sweet notes. too harsh for me personally (someone who loves candy-like perfumes). so if you’re like me, i’d suggest skipping this one.

A common theme I see as I scroll through the reviews is people talking about Angel. Angel this, Angel that. People compare it to Angel and talk about how it either smells like Angel or is absolutely nothing like Angel. I think that the comparisons are mostly psychological and due to the fact that Angel and Wish are both blue colored perfumes in similar looking bottles. Had this been in any other perfume bottle, with any other juice color, then I think the comparisons to Angel would be less abundant.

The opening is very different from Angel's. However, the similarity lies in the sense that you can tell that there is an abundant amount of notes in the opening, as well as the dry down, and in the base. The thing is, though, they're all very different notes except for a small select few, such as the patchouli, sandalwood, and the small handful of others. The note composition, aside from the few shared notes, are quite different. For example, the opening of Wish is almost tropical, I would say. The opening is a lot less complex than Angel's. It's woodier, a bit airier, powdery, and there's a tropical freshness from the fruits and florals in the opening. This is a fruity, floral, powdery, and slightly tropical fragrance due to the likes of the coconut and such. I also detect some soapiness in here.

The patchouli dry down is nice and sweet, and in that regard, I could see it being reminiscent of Angel, but so are the plethora of other gourmand patchoulis on the market that dry down to a chocolatey and sweet base. Longevity was decent, projection was decent, but it wasn't an overly heavy fragrance by any means. In my humble opinion, I feel as though I've smelled fragrances far closer to Angel than this is. Angel is my signature scent, and I immediately recognize when a fragrance is Angel-adjacent. Had you blind folded me, never shown me the bottle, or the juice color, then I'd never really think to compare it to Angel due to them being so different. However, because I had already known that the juice and bottles were so similar, I immediately tried to find every little similarity to Angel in here. And yes, don't get me wrong, they are both fruity, floral, and gourmand patchouli fragrances. However, they are by no means siblings. Cousins? Perhaps. If I had to describe it, I'd say that Wish is the younger second cousin of Angel who is quieter and lives somewhere beachy and more tropical.

simonara85

Today I received 30 ml bottle, my mum smelled and we ordered for her 75 ml bottle (I have with blue liquid inside, not green), it will be my signature scent for this winter 🥰

subaiteagne

Nothing like Angel by Mugler.. very poor perfume. Don't last at all... Strong alcohol scent.

Sissen

This was my first blind buy, having been an Angel lover for many years.
Unfortunately, as inexpensive as it is, I regret this purchase. It has nothing in common with Angel, but I could have enjoyed it anyway. Except that something bothers me: too much flowers, not enough notes to ground it, something is making me almost nauseous... Not for me.

chri5tin3

It's a shame this has been reformulated to that ugly green liquid. This was the most delicious, creamy, lactonic scent that dominated my teen years. It's now not even worth purchasing at it's low price as it literally smells like it's expired.

JoLeenS80

I really hate this fragrance. The milk note sticks out, a lot. Then I smell strawberry and heavy, offensive florals. The mix of milk and florals comes across particularly revolting. The dry down is a laconic/patchouli that seems to wrestle between sweet and bitter.Yuck. I have a ton of patchouli frags i adore, this isn't one. This (sigh) was a blind buy but at least it was an inexpensive one.

Edit: ok it has dried down for hours at this point and it's not too bad. The gross notes disappeared and I'm left with a sweet, very subtle scent. Still not impressive, though.

Somebody commented below that this reminded them of the old Cover Girl foundation. Yes, I totally get that. The old CG foundation had noxema in the formulation and Wish has those notes. Now I can't "unsmell" that lol

elleayjay

i WISH I would have gotten the perfume with the blue juice. Instead I got a bottle with an ugly green juice and the only note I get out of this is powder. Which I’m not mad at, but from all the notes listed up there I’m disappointed. There’s no way in HELL people compare this to Angel by Thierry Mugler. That’s extremely disrespectful. I don’t hate wish I just expected more than a linear powder note. I’m not mad because it was cheap enough and I do enjoy powder notes but I’ll probably just use it to layer.

EDIT: I took a shower a few hours after I sprayed this on my wrist and I still smell it. The lasting power is definitely there.

LadyIva

Although Chopard Wish was launched 26 years ago, I haven't tested it until now. I don't know how often it has been reformulated over the years; my review will focus on the current version.
Let's start with the obvious: TM Angel was such a success that it literally redirected the entire development of the perfume industry 'for her'. Countless other gourmands followed, and we are still suffering the consequences of that trend (well, at least, those among us who are not so keen on gourmands are suffering). Wish is not a carbon copy of Angel, but it is sufficiently similar, with an abundance of vanilla, patchouli, and then foody and fruity notes. The scent is initially strong, but it doesn't last quite as long as Angel, and in direct comparison, I would say that Wish is more powdery.
Bottom line: Wish is a safe buy for those who love fruitchoulies and gourmand fragrances; however, it is not something that I would ever wear, because my preferences are exactly opposite (I love green, woody, musky and floral scents).

sharon1984

I received this today in a blind swap but I dont know about this one. There is a Sharp and bitter note that bothers me. I owned this scent 10 years ago and I feel like it smelled totally different then. Also no Angel vibes for me.
Update : ive been wearing this for an hour and now it gave me a headache so a no for me unfortunately

Bregondo

Loud, dense and sweet. Pleasant and mass-appealing. I am a guy and I wore this back in college, I was able to garner a number of compliments from the ladies.

AgataO

I really like this perfume - it is subtle, perfect for warmer days and a delicious gourmand fragrance. One of the sweet perfumes I can use even in the hottest weather without me getting overwhelmed.
It will last around 3-4 hours on my skin, after that it will change to a skin scent, so it is nice for it to be on a cheaper side for me to spray it more often without feeling guilty.

qianqian

the opening is great, sweet warm vanilla, but the drydown gets unnoticed.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

A beautiful fragrance that has put me on a journey. So when I first got this years ago I could totally see the Angel comparison. When it's a newer batch it's more like an Angel edt or Angel aqua chic because it turns fresh a bit. Years later it smells like a honeyed patchouli with freshness. Wish is very strong and reminiscent to pre 2014 restrictions as this baby is loud and long lasting. I love that. I actually over sprayed because I had been use to these newer formulations where you need to spray a lot to get anything and I felt lightheaded for a bit..LOL..So don't overkill this one. You only need like 1 spray and see how that goes..it almost had that freshness you get from like a Chypre type fragrance like Miss Dior and Coco Mademoiselle. This is a bargain of a fragrance. And I'm hearing it's being discontinued if that is true snatch it while you can if you're a patchouli vintage lover. I should go back to fragrances that are discontinued and long gone pre 2014 because that is where the quality is at in comparison to today's standards and they are more affordable now only because no one hears about them anymore but they are still quality fragrances.

I've already reviewed this and as I said, it was my signature scent for about 20 years or more but it's changed. When I did first smell it years ago then smelled Angel not too long later I did think they smelled alike then as I got to know them both really well I changed my mind. Now I've kinda changed it back. This version of Wish smells a lot more like Angel to me, or a flanker, it's almost all just pure patchouli and hardly any of the gorgeous, sugary, sparkly, slightly powdery, just addictive, Wish of the 90s and 2000s. I've got no idea why they'd change the colour to a murky green, surely it'd be easier to just keep it clear if they didn't want to make it blue anymore? It used to last forever on your clothes and all night on your skin. I'd go out clubbing and wake up the next day still smelling of this, people have said their beds were left smelling of it after I'd slept in it. Now it fades really quickly. The dry down of this is almost identical to Angel now, and it didn't used to be, they were similar but this had it's own distinctive smell. Smelling it now after not wearing it for ages it really does just smell of the patchouli in Angel, just weaker, as if you've had Angel on the day before and it's almost faded away. The dry dry down reminds me of Angel elixir, which also smells like you've had Angel on but it's nearly worn off. I'm really quite sad coz I adored this. It wasn't particularly classy or elegant and my tastes have changed a lot over the past few years but I still loved having this for when the mood struck me. It was never supposed to be a dupe for Angel, for all the people complaining that it's not, it was it's own perfume. It was just the style of the era so if it was similar that's why. In the same way that loads of current day perfumes smell almost identical with a slight difference. It's not just the bottle making me think of Angel, as some people have said, I know them both well and they do smell alike to me. All of the best parts of Wish seem to have gone now, so if you never smelled the OG version you'll never know how good it was. It was never gonna be for everyone but it was significantly better than it is now. If it ever gets discontinued I can only hope a clone brand does a clone of the original formulation.

Edit 20th July 23. I opened my back up bottle today and it's the blue juice. For some reason it seems much nicer and sweeter than my green one. I don't know if it's just because the green one is older and the top notes have died off a bit and the patchouli base has overtaken it but this one is really nice, I only sprayed one spray on my wrist and I can still smell it really strongly after ages. I'm gonna have to wear it as my scent of the day now when I go out. So it looks like my relationship with Wish isn't over just yet. Reading that it's getting discontinued has made me decide I will still ask for a bottle this Christmas despite still having quite a bit left. Mind, I've been hearing it's being discontinued for at least 15 years and it hasn't been so I wouldn't take it as gospel. Still though, just incase, I'm gonna stock up on it.

SweetJhane

I reviewed Wish previously, when the weather was cold. Now that it’s hot and humid, the sweetness has hit a new level, thanks to the beautiful honey and vanilla notes. I didn’t notice any similarity to Euphoria until things warmed up. Wish actually strikes me now as the child of Euphoria and Fantasy. I am continually surprised by the complexity of Wish and by which notes are brought forward by the weather. Such a versatile, interesting, and lovely perfume, both in scent and presentation, and the price is so reasonable!

aqua76239

I always wanted to try it because lot of people compare it to Alien and when i ran into it in Saks outlet I bought it without hesitation. I like Angel although I don't love it but this is not as well crafted, less patchouli and chocolate, sharper and more "dated" version(if that makes sense).
I agree with another member who said that opening is very 90s, it has sharp artificial almost cheap vibe. I immediately didn't like it and basically was thinking that this is a total loss. However, once initial spray wears off and middle notes come in, thats when it redeems itself, and transforms into Angel Lite minus the chocolate. I can't say I hate it but i can tolerate it. I think that it still doesn't hold a handle to Angel who smells so unique that despite all attemps no one has replicated it yet.
Wish is not a safe blind buy. Neither is Angel but I think Angel is far more likable.

AlexandraRoseD

Sweet and rich but has a sharp accetone note in the new version which I did not detect in the older versions.. switched to the current Angel.

Gemsense

What is it about this fragrance that makes it so addicting? It keeps me coming back for more! And this warm weather brings out the best in her. I am truly enjoying this 💎

Melody Valentine

This was my signature scent up until very recently, kinda still is. I first got it in a miniature set when I was about 11 or 12 with Cerrutti 1881 and a few Elizabeth Arden perfumes. I fell in love with Wish immediately and I've had a bottle every Christmas ever since. It was clear liquid when I first started using it, then it was blue and last year it was green. They're not flankers though, it's the normal Wish but it seems to come in a few different colours now. My friend recently got a clear one.

Anyway, the smell. I can see the comparisons to Angel. It does have a similar vibe to it but Angel is a bit more dirty (in a good way though) and slightly more creamy. I don't think of it as fruity. It's bright, sparkly and powdery at the same time. It's a gourmand but I can't compare it to anything I've ever eaten. It's sweet but not in a candy sort of way. I can definitely smell the caramel, coconut, vanilla, incense, and toffee. I've seen other people say it smells dated but I don't think it does at all. I think if a niche brand or even celebrity brought this out today everyone would go mad for it. It's a gorgeous heady, going out clubbing perfume but I wear it anywhere coz that's just the type of person I am. It could be too sickly and cloying for some people, especially if you're more into fresh, floral, or citrus types of scents but if you like things like Angel, Alien, Cloud, or even things like La Vie Est Belle, JPG Classique, and Poison(I know these all smell very different but it's just more a vibe thing, strong heady perfumes that stand out) then you'd probably like this. You can pick up a 75ml bottle for about £25 now so if you don't like it at least you haven't spent £300. Plus, I'll have it if you don't want it 😂

I'm not currently wearing it but I still have two bottles of it, one that's half full and a back up. I hope it's never discontinued because it would truly devastate me to not be able to smell the perfume that everyone associates with me and reminds me of so much of my youth. Everyone I know says they'll always think of me whenever they smell it.

lickroicevanille

Hmmm. I red plenty about this frag before ordering and still got suprised. I made sure I get the older version, it's easy fo distinct if it's boxed, the logo changed over the years. My juice came yellowish, not green as it's an old bottle now. The cap is dead cheap plastic, the bottle also doesn't look high quality, but not let this deceive you. This is a great cheapie if you like Mugler Angel AND Alien. It's a 2 in one. The opening is loud, and "oldschool", 90s perfume, quite generic, might actually put you off a bit Then you're like..."I recognise this!" And it's Angel, but less choc & patchouli, it's less heavy, not that dirty/earthy as in OG Mugler. When Wish dries down, it actually has this airy vibe, and resemble...Alien. Might be weird, but I get both, 2 in 1. The sweetness is more sugar/caramel, I don't get chocolate. If you like layering and you like both frags, this is a perfect option. Also, less loud, so I use it for work, sometimes layer with something vanilla to soften it. Wish is not expensive, so you don't "regret" splashing it around, playing mixing with other scents. Really interesting one to have in your collection if you like classic Mugler definitely 👌

Alya1990

This fragrance was gifted to me when I was younger (about 19 years old). At first, I thought that I love it, as I did not own signature brand perfumes back then. I would save it for special occasions. Years later, I got married and my husband smelled this on me once, he asked me to never wear it again as it gave him a headache (he suffers from migrane). It sat in my drawer for many more years until I decided to give it one last chance before I get rid of it. I sprayed it on my wrists and pajamas, and boy oh boy did I regret it. It made me so nautious, I kept washing my wrists and the smell would NOT go away. It lasted on my pajamas for days and a full day on my wrists. I then gave it to my mom as she likes Angel. To be fair, this perfume does not smell bad, but it's not for everyone.

DariaFrancesca74

Classic representative fragrance of the second half of the 90s: brazenly sweet, cheerfully fruity, overwhelmingly gourmand. Wish by Chopard feminine fragrance created in 1997 by Nathalie Lorson the nose that has created many fragrances for important famous brands, many for Chopard, in recent years has created many fragrances for the Arabic brand Amouage. Wish is a triumph of fruity and floral fragrances immersed in warm and reassuring lactone scents, a very enveloping, intense amber base. Fragrance that triggers childhood olfactory reminiscences, which bring you back to pastry shops and candy shops. Fragrance for lovers of gourmand perfumes without ifs and buts. Honestly, many associate it with Thierry Mugler's Angel… they don't look alike at all, not even remotely.

Tony Shades

Wish is a very nice and balanced sweet fruity balsamic vanilla fragrance. Even if it's supposed to be a clone of Angel, it doesn't remind me of the Mugler at all. I get no dark bitter patchouli from it, but only warm sweet incensy notes. Highly recommended even for Angel haters.👍

Mc1995

Angel EDP is dark chocolate. 90% cacao, Chopard Wish is milk chocolate

beryandelight

'Powdery' should be the first accord. It is a well balanced fresh powder, however, it isn't what I thought it would be. It is a beautiful bottle and seems like a good base for layering scents but it has no direct relation to Angel.

Tammesyoyo

I am not sure how old the bottle I have is or the ml but my guess is it's a 75. On me it's similar to Lancome Hynose. I'd say It is sensual but cool and warm at the same time. Having sprayed twice on my skin I can taste it in my mouth but thankfully it has not given me a big tooth ache like some fragrances do. I don't detect any of the fruit top notes maybe rosewood - I can detect hints of something woody. There is some sensual cloud of a type of musk osthmanthus patchouli insense vanilla or tonkabean mixed together with white floral slightly sweetened perhaps with honey I think its getting sweeter now It's not as sweet as the voting notes imply if you are expecting candy sweet like Arianna grande or pink sugar and the cupcake sweet note in fantasy by Britney so far it isn't I've had it on for about 20minutes. At least on me it isn't. I'm not getting coconut or strawberries but possible pear hints. It's getting powdery now almost a bit like that old school makeup cosmetic scent.

Flared Maple

This really doesn't smell like Angel to me. It's missing that quintessential powdery chocolate note that really characterizes Angel for me. It's also much more sweet and lactonic than Angel is to my nose.
Personally I feel Wish is a lot more forward on the white florals, which makes it smell much more vintage than Angel (funny, considering Angel is the older one of the two).

When I first smelled this on my skin, my first thought was: "This smells like my mom in the 90s". You would think that would be a bad thing, It's really not though. She would have totally wore this back then, just like a lot of young women in the 90's would I would guess.

I've seen this said in other comments below, but this really is a vintage 90's powerhouse. When you first spray this it is a bit nauseating, because it's SO strong. One spray on my wrist was almost too much. But after it dries down an hour or so later its beautiful. The staying power is amazing. After 24 hours I could still smell this coming off of my watchband.

sugaryrose

Very good perfume. To me, it smells like Angel and Lolita Lempicka mixed together. I really like it. It's a cold fragrance, kind of mysterious suitable for the winter or when it's rainy. Strong, good projection and long- lasting.

doya

Fruity, fresh, and girly. And like a girly girl it is, young, very light, maybe a bit shy, and fades quickly. Very nice, but it's the type that blends with many similar ones and fades in comparison to those with stronger personalities, the ones that tell their own story. The ones that she might grow up to be, but is not there yet.

Snifftastic

I thought I would love this based on the notes but unfortunately, it was not my cup of tea.

This is a blast of baby wipes and powder to my nose. This truly smells like an older perfume and none of the notes come through for me or anyone else I've let sample it. It has a vintage vibe but mostly all that came through was baby wipes and powder, maybe even a little bit of urine as it starts to dry down. 🤢

I don't know if it's due to the perfume being older or the batch I received -- but I do know I got rid of it quickly.

Definitely wouldn't recommend this as a blind buy. There are better perfumes with similar notes to try that will give you a better scent profile and better quality.

CarnationCelt

Soft, powdery, sweet and charming. I haven't given it enough time to dry down to the base notes (an earlier review mentions it took around ten hours) but so far the fruity notes give way very graciously to the honey-coated florals. It is powdery, there's no getting around that, but luckily it's not so strong as to skew tacky. There's also a youthful vibe to this that I didn't quite expect - the myriad floral notes misled me to predict a slightly more mature type of scent.

I'm really enjoying catching whiffs of this. If someone else was wearing this I would definitely compliment them.

Lixa

A blast from the past and a classic (cult clasic?) 90's powerhouse. The design is outstanding (although a big minus for the flimsy, plastic cap that breaks right away). Big vanilla, coconut, caramel and powder. Quirky, ice queen vibes indicate cold weather wear is best. The comparison with the dreaded Angel is sooo tiresome; it has no resemblance whatsoever, other than the design and color. It reminds me of Hypnose- it evokes the same feeling. Persistance and projection are good.

Gyps

This is a really nice scent and while I don’t think it’s like Angel, it has a faint Angel vibe - minus 100 x the power. I really love Angel, so anything that’s similar I like. This one is sweet and will be a nice fragrance to wear to work. Non-offensive and pretty. Not that strong on my skin, I have to burrow my nose into my arm to smell it properly. Great price point.

rosewoodoud555

Smells like Angel but with heavier patchouli. The opening is so smelly — bitter, overly mature, and a bit dusty. It's a frag that evolves over time and gets better as the day goes though. After four hours or so, the sweetness and gourmand qualities come out and it starts to feel more pleasant. After 12 hours, the toffee and caramel finally emerge and it smells so yummy. I wish they got rid of the muddy incense and patchouli notes because it keeps me away from enjoying this frag, but if you can wait a whole day for the chocolatey notes, it's worth wearing. Also lasts all day.

MuscularMan27YO.

i dont know why this is compared to Angel. This has much different notes, just like Angel, similar colour and style of bottle, but for me it ends there.
This is really synthetic at the top. That drydown is pretty okay, but that syntheetic smell of all sorts of synthetic fruits first 15min is actually quite bad-. After that the flowers comes in and the creamier notes starting to kick in and in the end make a decent more balanced scent i actually enjoy to wear as a guy. The longevity for being an EDP with 76% alc i would expect better on this part.

Ferra_Verto

A delightful cacophony of stewed and caramelized tropical fruits mixed with lactonic honey and lightly spicy vanilla. Gets more powdery as it dries down.
Not identical to Angel per say, the fruitiness in this is brighter and the powdery aspects are stronger.
Best suited in cool weather, autumn & winter. Sillage monster, major projection and lasts for 10+ hrs on skin and days on clothes.

Sweet made right

BougieGirlShops

This definitely smells 90's to me, and definitely does not smell like Angel whatsoever. I know Angel well, and this ain't it. Wish is just "ok" for me, maybe I'll wear it more and see if it grows on me, perhaps the magic of maceration works for this as I sprayed after the package was delivered. I get mostly the floral notes violet, magnolia and lily of the valley. Not much of anything else except a touch of 'spiciness' I think is from the incense. It smells floral soapy.

This reminds me of what a random stranger smells like when I used to take public transit, like I am sure this was popular at some time and I smelled it a lot wafting around in public.

Projection and sillage is pretty decent, 3 spritzes on my inner elbow. You can definitely smell it a foot away, and lasted a good 6-7 hrs.

I have in my fragrance wardrobe a few scents which I refer to as my "problem perfumes." Wish is one of them.

On one hand I found myself disappointed on my first smell because I had built myself up to expect a dupe of the unwearable-on-my-skin Angel by Mugler. I was hoping that it would work better than Angel does on my skin, as I adore the DNA of Angel but can't wear it. Wish is nothing like Angel for the most part. In fact, it is very similar in a few ways to Euphoria by Calvin Klein.

And that's where the positives start for me - I absolutely ADORE Euphoria, it's easily one of my most favourite scents. The two scents are similar in that they share a sort of berry-orchid top and a creamy-gourmand middle, but the base is where they differ most. Euphoria takes on a deep woodsy scent, while Wish becomes more gourmand and chocolate sweet.

In terms of notes I'm finding that Wish is largely tart berries on the top, and coconut cream vanilla unctuousness the further towards the base it goes. The shared note of orchid with Wish and Euphoria is probably what is selling Wish to me since I love it so much in Euphoria.

I've seen others saying that Wish is drowning in patchouli, and I wish this was the case - but am also glad it's not? I think the overwhelming presence of patchouli in Angel is what stops me from wearing it. I think there's just enough in Wish that it works. It's growing on me very slowly.

So will Wish remain a "problem perfume" for me, or will it takes its place on my fragrance rotation? I can see myself wearing it with shimmering, glittery clothes (although its a shame I didn't get to wear that combo around Christmas time.) I think it would also go well with a curls-down, scarf-on outfit for a day in town. Perhaps not quite sexy enough for date nights, and not seductive enough to make me into a man eater (thank goodness I have Euphoria for those bimbo vibes!)

I have a head cold right now so I am teeming with excitement to smell this properly when my nose isn't completely blocked!!

EDIT about 1 week later:
So my nose is now completely clear again and I have made an interesting discovery:

Spray a little of Wish, you get the Euphoria notes I described.
Spray a LOT of Wish, and THAT'S where the similarities to Angel by Mugler kick in. I'm not sure what changes exactly about the scent when you spray a lot of it - it may just be that there are more molecules and so the scent seems "thicker" but it's tickling a very similar part of my nose as Angel does. I can detect a bit more of that caramel-praline sweetness that Angel has, in place of the tropical fruits I detect in a few spritzes of Wish.

So there's that!

Katelynl88

Well . Luckily I have a few perfume subs and I don’t have to blind but all these scents because I find more that I dislike than ones I end up liking or loving. It’s a journey . This smells so familiar at first , I can’t remember what it reminded me of with the first spray , not narciso Rodriguez for her , but maybe the club de nuit? That harsh musk , then it turns sooooo similar to Calvin Klein euphoria, but with more powder , then finally it ends up smelling like old school cover girl foundation, the dry down is similar to the kenzo jungle elephant with a powder element . It’s definitely not for me , but all in all it is nostalgic smelling .

ry4sfav

First dupe ive ever been disappointed by. Not sweet or fruity but very woody & powdery plus the patchouli takes over the entire scent.

redberrykitty

The more I wear this, the more the lactonic vibe emerges from this fragrance. It's like a powdery lactonic scent. Still, nothing like the notes, as I mentioned in a previous review. I think this is best suited for early Fall. The slight warmth still lingering in the air makes the other notes shine, but it's a dull shine. Sometimes I can detect the sweetness in here, but rarely.

This scent is a little confusing tbh... I'm gonna finish my bottle, especially because I asked for it for Christmas last year, but I wouldn't repurchase.

I WISH this was an Angel dupe. I don't wanna pay Angel prices. 😂

Also, my juice is like a purple-gray, not blue like in the picture. Weird?

GirlOnFire

I do not see the comparison with Thierry Mugler Angel at all. This comes off as stale, lacking, and sour.

SweetJhane

Every time I saw it, the bottle called to me in its own soft siren song - “Don’t you wish you had Wish?” Yes! I said, and now I do. Some perfumes are perfectly themselves, start to finish, from name to bottle to drydown, and Wish is one of them. She is entirely herself, and like the facets in the bottle, she shows different sides on different days. I love her for it. I love the prominent honey, something that I crave in perfume and that thoroughly delights me, and the alcoholic tinge to it here is like Jack and honey. And the coconut! as far from summer as coconut can get, but so beautiful and truly nutty here. Everything else is in the blend and what she chooses to reveal or emphasize of it on a given day. The description and ingredients of Wish are right in my type, but the reality of it is completely different and far from what I usually love, yet I do love it. Wish is a unique gem. I would never have believed that these words would come out of my mouth, because I do so love the power houses and heavy hitters, but I don’t care about the longevity or projection here. While decent, the experience of Wish is more important to me. I’ve not encountered any perfume that affects me this way before. I spray heavily, as is my habit and inclination, and just go with what comes of it. So much comes of it. And the cap atop the very lovely bottle? Shiny, sleek, minimalist, and mechanical, which I really like. The ring is very effective for removing the cap easily. It is also a little like pulling the pin on a grenade, maybe a reminder to be careful what you wish for! As I said, perfectly herself from beginning to end.

Edit: The more often I wear this, the more I love the drydown. It gets sweeter and more floral - the heliotrope and violets really shine. The longevity on well moisturized skin is ridiculous - all day and into the night from morning application. I just love Wish.

Snoes

More and more addicted to the honey note in this beautiful soothing and introvert scent.

Edit: The juice in my bottle is bright bleu like the fragrantica bottle.
Still love the honey note, but also more and more the clean talc powdery cloud.

Actorfellow

The bottle drew me towards this perfume. Looks and smells and a flanker of angel, but for me it smells even sweeter! I’m getting some kind of melon smell. Becomes softer on the dry down but still very sweet and strong. On my skin it lasts a very long time 12+ hours until you wash it off basically. The atomizer it weak so I just double spray.

Gemsense

P. S reminds me of Pink Flower only with strawberry rather than raspberry. Both fresh and sweet. It's gorgeous in the summer heat 😍 not so much in cooler weather as one would think by looking at the notes. This is a sexy summer go to. Nice cloud of strawberry floating around me ❤️❤️❤️

Gemsense

Smelling this now in fall it literally smells like an osmanthus heavy Oscar de la renta volupte. I like this better in the warm summer weather, it's sweeter in the warm weather and it tones down the osmanthus. Cooler weather mutes the sweet notes and pulls all violent and osmanthus just like with volupte on my skin. Literally identical to volupte now. Which I was totally not expecting nor do I like. I will have to save this for summer only. Although it's fleeting in the summer and must be resprayed often, it smells better sweeter.

Fatima1219

Beautiful bottle! To my nose, this is a lighter version of Mugler's Angel. I've worn this a few times, and I do like it. My husband, a big fan of Angel, he really likes this as well. It's softer, and not as commanding as Angel--a great dupe for it. I'm a re-applier so this does have to be reapplied for me, lol It has moderate projection, great for wearing to work. Shortly after purchasing it, the juice immediately turned drastically darker--which was fine for me because darker juice usually smells better to me.

Ambrocia scents

I fell inlove with Angel after hating for so long.I think with difficult perfumes like this n Angel where the notes don't align with what you smell (e.g freaking caramel. Where? Lol), you first have to get out of that frag-head prison mentality of dissecting a perfume, or searching for notes and accords when u sniff them, and tap into the mindframe of an ordinary person who will just smell a perfume and like it all around, not nit picking and being disappointed that u can't smell the notes listed. That way you might enjoy the fragrance for what it is, not what u were expecting, like a non-fraghead would do. Free your mind from nose searching for notes nobody who smells u is thinking about what they're smelling in particular either

L.rist

This is honestly revolting. Sharp and pungent. Nothing sweet or lactonic, just an overwhelming powdery alcoholic punch in the face. What a horrible blind buy, there's a reason why this is always on sale.

Kanz Oman

I have blindly bought this perfume. Then I came here and gone through many random comments. I convinced my self that after many negative comments, I will also end up not liking the scent.
However and with every spray, i couldn't hold my self but to love it. Only mature, deep thinking ladies will understand this beauty. Although I came to know that it got reformulated, and the liquid looks green with the bottle i bought. I wonder how amazing the blue liquid smelled if this green liquid still manages to amaze me. The combination of amber with sweet fruity note makes it divine.

Another thing, spraying this been always reminding me of Talisman from Balenciaga! The balsamic, sweet and powdery notes brought it in mind. I just wish if the perfume wish had the beast sillage & longevity of Talisman.

I would like to add some layering tips with the perfume wish. I tried to layer it with the below:
1) Any dehn oud oil, the result (amazzzing, made me feel luxurious & special)
2) White Tea Elizabeth Arden, resulted in a lovely fresh yet balsamic & powdery smell.
Not to sound repetitive, but this perfume deserves to be given a second chance.

redberrykitty

I don't get like... any of the major notes. So this fragrance is kind of an enigma to me. I don't get any of the lovely caramel, toffee, milk, honey, or any of those decadent notes I wanted. It smells almost like a cross between Bath & Body Works' Black Amethyst and Into the Night to me. I wish it didn't, even though I enjoy those scents. I have no idea if there's something wrong with the perfume I got or my nose. I still enjoy this scent. Even a reformulation wouldn't smell completely opposite, right? 😢 I guess what I'm getting is the amber, sandalwood, and tonka bean the most, which is cool... but not what I expected. I got it for Christmas and sniffed it as soon as I opened it and I just sat there in confusion in front of everyone. 😂

Bibi_S

I just sprayed it today on my skin on a very warm summer day and at first sniff it does give some Angel vibes (and maybe also a tiny bit Angel Muse EDT as well), but by no means it can be considered a dupe of any of these two. About half and hour to 1 hour later it becomes quite similar to a combination of original Trésor and La Vie Est Belle. It has that caramel-soapy-violet-iris fragrance combo that I find in these two Lancome perfumes. Wish is a classic smell no doubt, quite mature and powerful. Performs great, the next morning I could still smell on my wrist the vanilla+amber on the base. I just bought it recently so I will need to use it more to get a better understanding of it. So far I like it.

Lotte_Liese

There is something about the sickely sweet combo of honey + patchouli + jasmine + orange blossom in this fragrance that is reminiscent of Jean Paul Gaultier's Scandal, Ellie Saab's Le Parfum, and Paco Rabanne's Lady Million that turns my stomach and turns me off completely. This may be someone's cup of tea, but it is certainly not mine as a standalone fragrance. When layered with something smoky like Asdaaf's Majd al Sultan, or a sandalwood heavy oriental, this fragrance is not just tolerable- it becomes quite lovely actually. Don't despair if you find that you don't like it, just play on the barely-there incense and sandalwood notes to balance out its heady sickly sweetness and you'll find it quite wearable in the autumn/ winter months. It performs excellently on clothing.
I 'dislike' it as a standalone fragrance, but 'like' it in a layering combo.

sam2201

I love it💗

Lolapoop

This one was very popular back in its days in predominantly German speaking part of Europe . I still keep it out of sentiment ,but I can't imagine I would actually use it with abundance of higher quality products at hand .Before internet we were using what was available locally often without giving it a second thought and Wish isnt't so bad all in all

JohnFinnsWife

Straight up smells like the Christmas Cookie yankee candles. Still decently wearable though and for $25 it's worth buying just to have that mana potion bottle on your vanity.

redbionicle

this bottle is absolutely beautiful, having this beauty on my shelf made me feel so rich. The juice itself is also very rich, it's a voluptuous sweet vanilla power gem, so full of power it could be starring in a videogame as a treasure-weapon! Well that is my imagination carrying me away. I recommend it to every gourmand lover!

berrycool1211

This one didn't work for me. I don't like it. I mildly dislike it but it's not that terrible. The combination of Patchouli, Coconut and either Toffee or Honey from this perfume is not working for me. A bit nauseating for me. I can see this scent is good to wear during winters and the night time for formal occasions.

Longevity on my skin is 4 hours and on clothing 18 hours and more.

Invisibeau

I bought this on sale and was quite excited to try it. There were contradictory reviews but it was about 30 bucks for 30ml so I thought, why not?
The first spritz is synthetic and alcoholic. I don't like that. But give it a few minutes to settle down and the fragrance starts blooming into a beautiful vanilla and amber. I agree with a comment that said it smells like a hooker past her prime, but I think that has a charm of its own, especially when you feel a little risqué.
All in all, I enjoyed this although the performance is 2/5. I may not repurchase but the 30ml that I have, I shall cherish.

heather62

Wish was given to me as a gift and I love it. I don't understand all the negative comments about it. Mine is beautiful. I will repurchase.

smellslovely

So, I had this about 5 years ago but sold it because I had so many bottles of Angel and her flankers. Back then it was a blue juice and very close to Angel. I’ve just bought it again and I’m very disappointed, it’s sour and sharp and the juice is now Green!! Thus one is getting sold too😳

Kathryn J.

Well, I bought from an online site and the fragrance is dark green in color. So, did I get an old bottle or a new formula - who knows. It smells somewhere between Emeraude and a drugstore Angel dupe. Not horrible. Powdery and sweet. Not unpleasant or headache-inducing. I might wear it to bed.

Qimmo

Lovely bottle, but I feel like this smells like a cheap h00ker past her prime. Too many notes it's like a perfumery vomit.

hazi

It smells very nostalgic at the beginning, but as it stays on the skin, it turns into a warm vanilla scent. It has a lot of notes in it but is it a well blended perfume idk

melanie mother or foxes

I discovered this in a duty free shop in Barbados years before I encountered Angel. I was attracted to the beautiful bottle being a fellow gemstone enthusiast. There are some similarities with angel but to me it smells softer and better blended than angel. I do like angel but sometimes when you just want to smell that bit classier and sophisticated this knocks angel out of the water. I doesn't give your date a headache either 😉👍🥰

Gemsense

This is bland. A mosh up of notes that don't have any harmony. Slight dollar store bathroom toilet bowl refresher scent with hint of patch which I absolutely can't stand but I had assumed the patch would only play a supporting role to the many other notes and it does. But it's a cheap smell with the patch standing out because of the mosh up of notes.
I'll let this sit on my skin overnight and see if it transforms. If not, I'll keep trying in other weather and seasons and may have to let it sit for a year in my perfume closet to let the molecules adjust before I try it again in the future. Until I find this one's beauty, it is a regret blind buy so far. I do love Casmir though!
By the way... The perfume color in my bottle is brown 😒 not a gorgeous blue and not even green. It is brown.
So although I wasn't impressed by this, I did find myself wearing this and even craving this. I actually had to put it away so I wouldn't use up my full bottle. Now it's June and I'm craving it again so I brought it back out. One spray and it's lighter but I think the sweet spot would've been spring weather. It's hot and humid now but it's still addictive. What is it about this fragrance that makes me crave it? Even though I think I don't even like it?

Fouquet5%

I don't understand the hate this one gets. I would not compare this to Angel, but it IS a sweet 90's patchouli gourmand. Inexpensive with a beautiful bottle. Much "safer" than Angel, due to lack of "Beast-mode" projection and sillage. For $16 an once, its worth a try. Its a "like" for me. I could wear this year except for the hot sultry summers I endure in the SE USA.

salmaloukili

Blind Buy. I cant describe the disgust i felt when i had just opened this perfumes box, hadn’t even sprayed it once but it smelled terrible. I wont even describe it as a grandma fragrance, because even grandma’s wouldn’t like this. I usually really like sweet perfumes but this is just plain sharp bold and hits you in the face. I’ve smelt so many male perfumes that were better than this one. I get it, its cheap but its not even that soapy cheap perfume i was expecting. Idek if i would ever blind buy any chopard perfume again bc this was my first and probably my last no matter how good the ratings would be.

amandavolpe

Do I want to buy this? I love the idea of a milk & honey white floral, vanilla amber thing. This also has osmanthus, strawberry, honeysuckle, incense, caramel — another notes I love. My imagination is tickled. I mean, this ticks so many boxes. Vanilla? Gourmand? Oriental? Fruity? Floral? Lactonic? All check! And yet every single review down here claims Chopard’s Wish is an understand Angel or just plain sugary juice in a bottle. How come a perfume with such a complex pyramid ends up getting some many reviews complaining about how tame and simple it smells? Is it a bad reformulation? Was the original version more complex? Is it bad marketing, as in the product is being packaged and pushed to people who dislike this type of fragrance and then leave bad reviews? Not sure I want to spend 30 euro to find out. If you have the answer to this conundrum PM me and save me some cash. Thank you!

Poudery

A few weeks back I bought Chopard Casmir and loved it, so I thought this might be a safe blind buy and bought it for what I thought was a low price. Alas, it wasn't. I don't get most of the notes mentioned on this site. The opening is a hint of vanilla, pear and some very synthetic floral notes, that's it. Literally, that's it. It doesn't smell rich or deep and least of all gourmand. Coconut, Toffee, Caramel, Strawberry, Black Currant? Nope, nope and nope. The floral note is some sort of fantasy floral scent, nothing identifiable.
So, I'm waiting for the drydown, because you know - some perfumes need that time. While doing so, I am admiring the pretty little bottle. It is nicely made, a light blue liquid in it's clear glass diamond. The cap sits firmly on the vaporisateur - it looks precious.

The drydown gives me gooseberry, maybe a bit of violet, but it's neither a creamy nor a powdery perfume. It smells kind of sour, a little bit bitter and yeah, very synthetic on my skin and I don't usually have a problem with perfumes on my skin whatsoever. I tried it on clothes and there I get a little bit of the sweeter gourmand notes, so might as well use it as a room spray. It still doesn't have any sort of richness or depth to it, though. If you have money you don't know what to do with, you might wanna check it out, but I'd recommend buying something else with it.

Gigiija

I didn't understand that smell. I thought it was horrible. I thought of it several times, but it didn't work out. I threw it out.

DenisseScent

I used to wear this in college and I loved it, got complimented on it alot to.
It is sweet, has good sillage and a moderate lasting power - a really cute affordable perfume

olfactorie

This scent is amazing, I just wish it lasted longer. I often have to reapply but other than that it is a nice winter sweet and sour combo.

vanilie

can't smell much else besides something sweet and sour + some patchouli that turns almost... soapy-ish on me? like an old floral bar of soap. somehow i've never smelled angel before so i didn't know what to expect but i guess i was expecting a bit more in the end. my juice is green if that helps.
edit: it's slowly growing on me but the performance is surprisingly not great tbh.

ssamhita

I got this as a blind buy despite mixed reviews here because it was on a sale, and I am so glad I did. With so much going on in terms of notes I wasn’t really sure what it would be like, and the synthetic opening didn’t really help but I love love love the dry down! I sprayed some on my arm and two sprays on my neck just before I took a nap and when I woke up I was greeted by the most delicious smooth vanilla ever. So elegant, so sophisticated. Not cheap smelling at all.

kiraagold

Wish is that loud-laughter bombshell at the holiday bash in a lurex dress and even cheaper lipstick, who gets sticky caramel everywhere and is the absolute life of the party.

Fruity vanilla, syrupy honey florals, and soft toffee woods, in a big fun mess with zero chill.

Filosykos

It Is no longer made by coty.
It is made by chopard in house and the liquid is an awful dark grey colour and the bottle is not as polished and beautiful as before. It still smells good and lasts but is not a a beast mode fragrance.

Tt777

This is really affordable so I blind bought a bottle and will say it’s a like, not a love. My first impression, was “ not bad!” I got the strawberry and praline sweetness and do smell the patchouli which is a note I don’t care for but it isn’t overpowering as it is in angel. I understand why ppl are saying this is a toned down angel. Sameish family but def not sisters or could qualify as flankers. If you like fruity gourmand chulis this is a very affordable fragrance you may want to test this one out. The bottle is beautiful and the juice isn’t bad considering I paid less than 20$ for it. Suitable for colder weather IMO.

kerrylovesgourmand

I'm just absolutely anosmic to it - I smelled a tester in store and after some very sour smelling seconds, I smelled absolutely nothing. Also, the juice was green?

mandalynnwin

Sooooo disappointed in this one. All the notes sounded right up my alley but ended up being a loud ass cacophony of too many notes, blended to a mess that just translates as a generic “perfume” scent. I can’t pick out any one note. Ugh. I wanted to love it, but I very much don’t. BEAUTIFUL bottle though. Does not remind me of TM Angel at all.

Stoicchild

A very versatile Sandalwood perfume! On my skin it smells like a perfect incensey Sandalwood. Nothing sweet. The dry down is an incensy gooseberry and blackcurrant. I first smelled this on a 60 year old lady in my old office. She introduced me to this perfume. It lasts a long time.

Keep in mind they've written the notes the other way around for this with Wish Pink Diamond.

cz963214

I definitely see the resemblance to Angel that I actually like. However, to me, this is not as good. Where Angel is bright and well blended to me, Wish is heavy and cloying and too much of everything. The notes are not as well blended as in Angel. Other than that, it is not a bad perfume. What puts me off is the milk note that becomes really obvious on my skin.

Mad-Lainey

Gosh, may this never get discontinued or else I'll be devastated. This has recently become my favourite juice, I cannot understand the comparison to Angel as to me, these two are distinctively different fragrances.
Wish definitely falls into an almost edible category, it's a beautiful perfume that draws other people's attention and generates compliments and curiosity whenever I wear it. Quite versatile, appropriate to both, office meeting as well as a date night out. Great value for money. It shouldn't be, however, purchased as a blind buy/gift as It's not within the so called safe category. Wish is quite potent and has a unique quality to it, strong on coconut, caramel, osmanthus and heliotrope so may not be everyone's cuppa tea.
Beautiful and well pronounced, playful yet appropriate in formal settings.
I love you, Wish, you're my "here for the long haul" fragrance.

lovealwaysalisa

Dont buy this as an Angel dupe. Doesn't smell like Angel to me at all. I get a a syrupy strawberry that smells more like cherry on my skin, with some caramel and a very weak patchouli. Its lacking the deep chocolate incense patchouli vibe that Angel has. This is ok as it's own scent when not comparing to Angel, but it's not for me. I ended up giving it away to a friend and getting the real Angel since it has grown on me recently.
Note: For a better Angel alternative that is affordable I would suggest Fatale Intense by Agent Provocateur. It's fruitier but very similar to Angel.

SmellsLikeMoneyWellSpent

I must have some older bottle, because it's a sweet killah! I like to use it in mixes and solo as well. Good value!

bloodyheartofparadise

i urge everyone who is thinking of purchasing this because they read it is a dupe for mugler angel not to bother. i made this mistake, (pre-loreal) angel being my favourite perfume of all time, and was bitterly disappointed. i have absolutely no idea what happened to all of the many promising listed notes apparently present in this perfume as all i smell is an underwhelming, extremely generic sugary sweet slightly white floral milky scent that lasts all of an hour at best. no caramel, no toffee, no fruits, no incense and ABSOLUTELY no patchouli! this couldn't smell any less similar to angel if it tried. silage is minimal and like i said, lasting power is a joke. there really is nothing more i can say about this perfume, the only word i can think of to best describe it is bland. 1/10.

rocsta6

I've loved this perfume for years and the performance was good. Preferred it to Angel but they've reformulated it at its now a mess. It's even green in colour. People remember the blue wish and when you buy the new one it's mistaken for a fake. The new formulation is only vaguely similar to the old one and it barely lasts an hour. I'm so disappointed that they destroyed what used to be a masterpiece

Bebabeba

Oh such a gurman smell! I use this perfume over 5 years and still counting. I always get the most beautiful comments from guys about it! With Baccarat Rouge this is my abosulte fav! It stays on my skin all day, and the price is super low :)

datenshi

To me, Wish is much more similar to Angel Muse than to the original Angel. I'm comparing Wish and Muse side by side and the main difference is that Wish has more fruit among its top notes while Muse has a distinct creamy (hazel)nutty note that's missing in Wish.

KHunton

I love wish & I'm glad I don't get the Angel vibe from it as Angel makes me feel nauseous
(I wanted to like it so bad) :(
What I love the most about Wish is that it doesn't remind me of anything else.
To me, Wish is yummy, sweet & comforting.
The bottle is super cute as well.

GabbyVersusThe

There's nothing about Wish that should appeal to me - the notes, the era; they're just not my thing. But I like this perfume, I really do!

I don't wear it very often but there's something feel good and vaguely badass about it. Wish lasts all day (probably the longest lasting perfume I've encountered) which is a nice surprise; especially for a scent wears so intimately.

Ellsa

I am lucky because I don't feel that is similar with Angel ( that i hate it soo much because every time I tried to use it it gave me so bad nausea and terrible headache). It has a sharp smell, masculine, vodka smell but still nice. Unfortunately on my skin the persistence is very weak. Suitable just for winter.

lillybethholmes

I TOTALLY agree with the Angel-without-the-funk comments. It really smells to me like the less aggressive sister of Angel. I love both, but sometimes Angel can be a bit much, frankly. It's a bit of a marmite perfume. This is much more approachable and friendly. It's a sharper sweetness, but softer powder. Drydown is softer too. I get a touch of soap which hits the back of my nose a bit, but I think I like it. One to sit with a while. Ok, coming back to say that fully dried down it's VERY Angel. And absolutely indelible. No scrub will remove it. Cannot get the effing stuff off my wrist and it's not what I want to smell today!

LeAx

Looking at the notes I imagined something a little different from this one. There are so many notes that I guess it's kind of difficult to say which ones will take over on you before trying it. I quite like it though. On me it has a sweet caramel vanilla scent blended with a splash of clean white flowers, and hints of a rather timid patchouli. Here and there I get some sandalwood, but it's definetly not prominent. Overall an inoffensive, easy to wear scent, kind of gourmant and clean at the same time - if that makes sense.

The downside is that the performance is quite poor on me: it lasts around 4h and the projection is basically non-existent - might need to overspray this one!

fire2heart

I must be one of the lucky ones with this perfume. I get caramel, vanilla, tonka a little bit of patch and some other notes that I can't identify. It's everything I wished Angel was on me.
It's not super sweet on me but it does start out very strong. Once it settles, it's a cozy gourmand that wears beautifully in the Autumn and Winter.

JolieSucre

Ahhhhh yesssss! A good old school gem from back when perfumes were perfumes, had 25 ingredients and were advertised in glossy magazines.

It does smell like Angel but without the pungent note, whatever that distinctive Angel opening tang is. Instead of that, i detect a hint of cold creaminess.

It’s sweet but very elegant and perfumey, a bit sophisticated. If Paris Hilton existed in Audrey Hepburn’s era, she would wear this. Prissy, diamonds-wearing party girl scent.

I think it’s an elegant fragrance that can be worn everywhere even if it’s sweet, so perhaps work, for example, wouldn’t be the most indicated environment. It’s classy, comes in a nice bottle, relatively decently priced, it’s ok.

Can’t say i adore it as I’m more into caramel gourmands, but i like it quite a lot, especially since it feels like Angel, but without its ugliest part (that always bothered me) 💜

grapefruit352

This is a sour fragrance most of the time! I feel pure gooseberry and maybe red currant in the top and in the middle notes. (lits of notes is so large..where are those??).
The perfume is heavy, not because its patchouli, not because its sweet, but because its sour:) After the sourness vanishes (in 1-1,5 hours), it comes faint fragrance of the vanilla and tonka beans. Vanilla feels more like Vanillin, which they put to cheap cookies. The phase of vanillin and tonka beans feels better, but its somehow very faint and sits very close to the skin...nobody around you will feel it.
I am quite happy that I bought only a little tester with couple of millilitres...
I do not wish to get a full bottle of "wish" :))

Let's try again. I deleted my first review as I've changed my mind on some things. It's true that Angel and Wish share the same DNA ( patchouli+ sweetness) but they're two different scents, each of their own. The main difference being that Angel is a textbook gourmand whereas Wish is a sweet oriental fragrance because of the presence of woody notes that also give it a bittersweet ,almost medicinal character. The latter is not necessarily a bad thing but it needs to be noted since Wish appears to be rumoured as a "funk-free" dupe to Angel. In other words, it might be cozy and sweet , but those who are looking for a warm crowd pleaser in the likes of LVEB will be dissapointed. The scent itself is hard to describe as I can hardly tell notes apart but the best parallel i can offer (may not be familiar to everyone), are the Pink rose/menthol "rendezvous" aromatic gummies , a Greek retro candy that served as a breath freshener. It's also worth mentioning that this is not a linear scent. It begins with a patchouli blast which soon settles sweet and then results in a very musky (strangely not listed) and woody drydown.
It took me a while to get warmed up to Wish and I do not regret buying it as I appreciate its quirky character, affordability and stunning bottle. Projection and sillage are adequate but you might need to overspray during winter.

Vanillastorm40

Something about this fragrance comes across as soapy, to my nose. I wanted to try it because of the reviews that say it's similar to Angel, one of my ATF's. I don't know though. Maybe at first spray, I can see the similarities but Wish dries down VERY SOAPY to me and I run far away from soapy scents.

Markellam92

I was out looking for a new perfume and I sprayed that one among others and I have to say I'm impressed 🤩it was the sweetest of them all! At first it was like a plain sweet perfume nothing special it was quite heavy too after 20 minutes though it totally transformed to the most pleasant sweet vanilla almost like a marshmallow (and I was surprised that it doesn't have that note) anyway my friend was like YOU HAVE TO BUY IT but I wasn't sure yet I wanted to let it stay at least for a couple of hours to see if it would change or how long it would stay on my skin and unfortunately it did not last more than 5 hours but that sweet heavenly smell didn't change at all so I'm going to buy it🙃it is a good blind buy if you like sweet vanilla perfumes 👌

Little Lady Black

Not mine, a friend got it from her boyfriend. When I was over she let me borrow it for a bit and see what I thought, and GOD I hated it!
I put a single spritz on my wrist, literally just one, and immediately got a headache from how strong it was, and I had a headcold at the time! I don't even know what the initial scent in the top note was, I just know it was far too intense to be enjoyable.
A few hours later, even with my nose halfway clogged, there was a strong spicy-flowery scent, patchouli and jasmine I'd say, though there's enough stuff in it that I couldn't be sure. Finally, over six hours later, there was an even, gentle scent of caramel and vanilla, with just a bit of smoky incense. If that was all they'd put in this perfume it would have been pretty good. I went to bed and woke up STILL smelling it! I finally just gave up and scrubbed my wrists clean.

If you use this perfume, I'd recommend opening a window first and spritzing it into the air, and then walking into the cloud. That's the only way I could consider wearing it, and it would last you pretty much forever. I suppose, with everyone wearing masks, it would be good then. But I sure am not wearing it again.

Madyana

This is somehow a full chameleon for me! Sometimes this smells completely like mosquito poison, but sometimes I smell nice pear-soda and white flowers here. Scary scent.
My daughter keeps this in her collection because of the bottle and sometimes I secretly go to try what mood Wish is in today. I read really different reviews here, and yes, I am not surprised at all!

insanedecals

This fragrance has a lot going on in the scent. I am not sure if I like it or not. First spray and to me it’s very sweet and floral which I don’t like as I’m not big on floral scents. As it dries down it softens and the scent smells fresh and powdery with the floral scent. It is not bad but it doesn’t have a definable scent as the notes all seem to be battling with each other for a spot. If it had a more woody base or incense it may actually be nicer.

Natabeth

For the amount of ingredients in this fragrance, I imagined something rather syrupy sweet and deep. Nothing could be further than the truth.

This is such a refreshing, clean (as in straight out of the shower clean), sweet (but not in a gourmand way) and cooling fragrance.
I bought it blind and knew immediately it was more of 90’s scent and that I’d smelt it before.

This may sound bizarre, and it’s not a put down as I LOVE this fragrance, but it reminds me of wet wipes. Those gorgeous smelling wet wipes your mum cleaned your hands with as a kid. They always smelt like lemonade to me. I used to really enjoy it. And that’s what this fragrance smells of to me.

I wear it when I’m around the house, feeling a bit needy or a bit delicate as there’s nothing in this that is too cloying or overbearing. Plus, it’s quite uplifting-for me anyway.

People have noticed similarities with Angel, but I genuinely don’t get that at all. Angel is very gourmand, very caramel-y, rich with that strong menthol-like note whereas Wish lacks all of these.

I honestly haven’t smelt anything similar to this so, for me, it’s quite unique. I thoroughly enjoy it.

FloridianG

I used to wear this as a teenager and that really is what it is to me.. a teenage scent. If you dont fall in the basic Pink Sugar category or ultra fresh Tommy Girl group you probably were in this ‘sickly sweet’ one.

Sugary, powdery, vanilla/tonka notes.. sickly sweet if too much has been sprayed. A very cheap take on more complex scents like Angel. I still like it but its very low down on my like list. As borderline ‘dislike’ as you can get. I think it’s the nostalgia which means I always have a bottle hanging out somewhere.

I havent been able to purchase a single bottle in the last 5-6 years that isnt green in color so its probably discontinued and we are all buying left overs.

Gosh and to think I was so so proud of how it looked on my vanity.. 100% not the same when the liquid is puss green instead of that pretty blue!!! Cringe!!!

LuckyMommy

This was a blind buy, I got really interested when I saw all the notes.
Unfortunately it was not a love, but I kind of like it.
Sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s just okay.
My husband liked it on me... so I keep it just for that.

azarakhsh_kahram

I bought it from Douglas, and the first spray, it was so bad :D my friend was there and she liked the bottle so, I gave it to her to use it as a decoration LOL, I mean, it was really bad, I am not sure was something wrong with the bottle I bought or what. And let me tell u, I love weird stuff, I like perfumes that most people don't, but this one, noooo!

mabelcruet

I really enjoy wearing this one. I don't get the comparison with Angel-on me, Angel gave me the dry heaves and was simply awful, they smell nothing alike. That said, I struggle to identify specific notes in Wish as they all blend together. However, I don't really get a floral sense from this, its more gourmand than flower. Wish is very sweet at the opening, like vanilla icecream with caramel sauce, but that changes very quickly into a warm powdery creamy sandalwood. The powder note is very dominant on me, which is probably why I like it so much. The patchouli is well done-its not my favourite ingredient but in Wish, its subdued thankfully. My interpretation does seem to be at odds with other people's impression, so I think it must be one of those that react differently on everyone, so try before you buy.

omniaabobakr96

I love it.. it's feminine and lovely with something strong that makes me assume it's a patchouli bomb..
I wear it a lot and it got me a couple of compliments :)
the lasting power is very good but the sillage is not the best in the world unfortunately, or maybe i just got nose blind for it.
You pay a little but you get an expensive smell and so much love! I definitely will purchase it again!
Needless to say that the bottle is so BEAUTIFUL ♥

uno

I love the bottle.
the juice inside smells citrusy-wood on my skin, because of my body temperature i guess.Where is the sweetness...?

Gannibalka

This perfume is VERY powdery. It smells like baby powder with sweet notes. I ordered a bottle online and tested it on my arm before going grocery shopping with my husband. We both had to open our windows because it smelled like baby powder and we both didn't like the smell.

yiola.al

I clearly didnt like this.Too strong and cloying I wanted to rub it off.Could only smell sandalwood, rosewood, tonka bean and patchouli.Sweet but no sign of fruits or flowers. My mom loved it (her scent is elixir by Clinique).Luckily after a shower it was way better, could still smell it but less imposing.

jule9

Sampled it many times in shops. I always approached it with hope and always didn't like it, couldn't like it. The perfume is blended wrong or they use bad ingredients... The result is a smell that is confused, nondescript, bland... Don't understand how these notes could produce something like that.
By this house, Casmir is a much better choice.

diamondbottles

This is the kind of perfume that looks all pretty and smells 'alright' in the store so you decide to buy it with a discount, but oh boy will she DISSAPOINT. Not a perfume i can take for very long, too aggressive, weird mixture of scents, and the scent is very long lasting but that's definitely not what i would want with this. It went downhill very fast once she got taken home. This one screams REGRET. I'll never buy again. I would just give this away or let it sit in the attic to eat dust. Not even toilet appropriate, nope.
My 'wish' for this one is 'be over with'.

Mynotaur

A polarising fragrance and I can’t decide if I like it or not. It’s a Pachouli BOMB on me. But I definitely find it easier to wear than Angel, which smells like mouldy bread on my skin. Love the bottle design and happy to keep trying it but I’m very aware of the heavy, cloying scent so I wear it sparingly and infrequently. Maybe suitable to a night event to at gallery opening or something... not a spring picnic. The dry down is pretty okay but honestly, this is one I spray once and then stop haha

Despair

So many notes listed and I'll be honest here: I can't pick up most of them. There's nothing floral about this to me, and not really fruity either. It is heavy on caramel, vanilla, something milky and coconutty, and of course the patchouli. Yet, it still isn't gourmand at all. Some sandalwood is there as well, but it sits quietly in the background.

Wish definitely isn't TM Angel's twin sister, not even daughter, but maybe like a cousin? They have similarities but I don't hate this like I hate Angel, so there's that.

That being said, there's something very unnatural, synthetic about this scent. Someone mentioned "rusted tin" - I wouldn't go that far, but I get it. Longevity and projection are fine.

It doesn't smell unpleasant, though. This is just all in all quite "meh" for me, I have a 5 ml sample of this and won't be purchasing a full bottle, but will be using up all of my sample.

A.Lavieenrose

This smells so much like Angel, especially in the opening...the syrupy honeyed fruits, the strong patchouli, the pungent sweetness- it's all there. However, as it dries down, Wish is tamed. I start to get more of the floral notes, and a slightly powdery vanilla, with coconut sprinkles and candied strawberry mixed into a delicious milkshake. Angel starts to disappear.

Overall, I like it! It also slightly reminds me of La Petite Robe Noir Intense somewhere in between the opening and the middle notes...it might be the sweet, cinnamon/patchouli mixture.

I think a couple sprays in the hair will be beautiful. I can imagine it lasting well into the night, and lingering all around you, like a cloud of fruity shampoo and soft, powdery cotton candy.

Deutsch100

Since I have worn (Thierry) Mugler Angel edP since 1994, I honestly DO NOT understand how anyone says Wish is similar to Angel. I really do believe that people are just saying this, since the bottle has some similarities and because some people say this smells like Angel, they have to say it as well.
I really think those who are saying Wish smells like Angel, might not even have Wish; They are honestly polar opposites. Wish smells overly sweet, cheap, synthetic and generic. I 100% understand those who do not like Angel (it is love or hate for many), but y'all need to STOP saying Wish smells like Angel. It is just not true.

Vanillastorm40

It's too "perfumey" for me. It's not special.

lemuaa

I just got this today and as I opened the mailbox (I don't think I could find this in a department stores anymore?) there was a scent that came through strongly reminding of TH Angel. I have never worn it as it lead to migraine everytime I sampled it. I was curious to try this relatively old perfume if I could stand it, because I like the 'idea' of Angel and wanted something in that section but in very small doses. Generally I'm more of a D&G Light Blue girl. I sprayed Wish just twice and bit over my shoulder on air and I can smell it after two hours, very faintly. That's enough for me. I can't stand overly patchouli-vanilla-oriental-sweet smells. This is quietly those elements for the days I don't want to smell fresh and citrusy.
The drydown has some note that reminded me of Lolita Lempickas liqorish note, strange..

LaSirene3

Oooh I loooooove it. The bottle kept nagging me to buy but I was hesitant bc of the reviews here comparing it to TM Angel (which I despise a lot bc of its over sweetness)
However, I decided to blind buy because I’m starting to have a thing for patchouli and vanilla .. what a pleasant beautiful surprise, this is a patchouli and vanilla powdery elegant bomb that’s not overwhelming at all.
Not too sweet but more on the dry side, i smell a resemblance on my skin with Tom Ford Noir & Guerlain Black perfecto and a tiny bit of YSL Black Opium (which I own all but everyone’s skins different ) but this is so chic feminine.
If you’re a patchouli, vanilla, powder lover with a low key sweetness go for it without hesitation, the bottle is so beautiful too.
I give it 10/10 .. yay for one of my best blind buys,I still have to test out the spillage and longevity but from my first spritz they seem great!

tatigo

To me, this smelled like a "cleaned up" Angel - as if Angel was sprayed on a hand and then that hand was washed and Angel's stickiness and dirtiness was removed.

StellaKapranos

I don`t know why people compare Wish to Angel. To me, they are not even similar. I bought a bottle as a partially blind buy because I liked it on my friend, but I am pretty disappointed. It is very synthetic, sweet but in a sickening way. I`ve used it several times and I really couldn`t connect with it. It just doesn`t smell right on me.... The bottle is very nice, though :-)

Sal Eless

This is definitely NOT a sweet scent! People who are only into florals perceive it as sweet but it isn’t. I got it as a blind buy based on the reviews to find out that it is strictly floral. It has no trace of vanilla or caramel, it only screams sharp florals so if you’re into sweet scents, this one will definitely disappoint you. Loved the bottle design though.

KennedyH

I do not know if I got a bad batch or if mine is old but this is nothing like anything I expected or what the reviews say for me. I had such high expectations as I liked Casmir from this house so much. However, for me is smells like lactonic, baby powdered patchouli. I get the faintest sweetness but after it is on the skin the smell turns to nothing and it would might as well be like I never put on fragrance to begin with. Really disappointed :(

Update: Now that I've tried it a few more times after the previous entry, I like this. It does get sweet but it still stays quite close to skin and the longevity is not great but it is decent. Very inoffensive and likeable fragrance imo. This is my doctor's office/dentist scent as weird as that sounds

aztzura

Had this bottle for years. I didn’t like it at first. I thought this perfume was too heavy and cloyingly sweet. I took it out a few days ago and gave it another chance. I’m completely surprised. After the drydown, it settled into a creamy amber scent. It’s very well blended and the longevity is superb. It’s a comforting scent. I guess I’ll have to reconsider some of the other fragrances I thought were too heavy e.g. Angel, Euphoria, etc.

blond.coconut

This smells exactly like Angel. Want Angel for a lower price? Go for this one.

bel.gravia

I will start by saying this isnt Angel.
Wish is all I wanted, an incense caramel soft vanilla patchouli floral fruity cloud. A little bit of each olfative family except for citrus aromatic aquatic. It is a brave, unique perfume. Indeed sweet caramel vanilla cream but with dark incense, sandalwood. With juicy happy fruit and classy florals. I should have bought it earlier as I adore it. Buy Wish even if you are not an Angel fan :)

Seaworthy

The first spray of this fragrance was stunning to me! Absolutely divine! Sweet, and light, moody, complex. I just marveled that yet AGAIN Nathalie Lorson has hit the ball out of the park with another beautiful fragrance! I sincerely wondered if I was smelling the same fragrance that my fellow Fragrantians below were smelling. I mean I was just blown away by the fragrant deliciousness emanating from my wrists. The bottle is equally as stunning, the liquid is a sublime azure blue. I was in complete fragrance bliss wearing this perfume for about an hour. Then it became apparent to me that I just could barely smell it at all. I walked into a room and my husband was there, he immediately remarked positively about the beautiful fragrance I was wearing. I literally could not smell it! I guess that I have gone nose blind to it, disappointing. Perhaps it's the sheer complexity of this fragrance? So much to take in? I love it so, yet it's no longer there for me! I will wear it again in different weather hoping that the fragrance stays a bit longer to my nose.

cedar_lea

This is going to sound like a bizarre comparison because the fragrances are so different, but this opened with a woody note that was similar to Estee Lauder Private Collection. There were also uncommon floral notes. The opening felt like a lot was happening and could easily be too much.

After it settled the sweetness started to come out. Eventually the florals faded and the drydown is the rich sweet carmel/toffee vanilla I had expected.

It lasted about 8hrs.

GiBaby

I recently bought this fragrance after eyeing it for a long time. I kept seeing it online for a great deal and finally decided to purchase it. This scent is so confusing for me, i don’t know if i like it or not. It does have a sweetness to it but i can’t smell anything specifically that stands out, and the way it develops in on my skin is quite odd. I don’t know if it’s because this fragrance has so many notes but it ultimately ends up smelling like a cheap incense kind of smell. I was looking forward to loving this scent but now I’m stuck not knowing what to do with it. I love the bottle, it sucks i don’t enjoy the fragrance😩

maci2222

Opened a new box and my juice is brown =(. It smells sweetly vanilla floral. I think it has lost the opening? A light safe scent. It is nice, but nothing about it really grabs me. I think it does a little better in warmer weather.

coco.sarah

It's not my thing but I can see why its so popular. I have a full bottle for sale if anyone wants it. Only sprayed about 5 times.

Kar1917

Not sweet to me. A sharp smell and some wood. No vanilla, no sweetness, no powder. I really want to like it but I don't. A harsh and synthetic unpleasant scent to me. It was a blind buy, 75 ml, fortunately only 18,00 euro.

mintycharm

I am one of the unlucky people who pick up more unpleasant notes than anything. Whether it's due to my body chemistry or perhaps a bad batch (mine was rather dirty grayish blue than the picture shows), it just doesn't work for me.

Immediately on spraying -- I only did one spritz to not overdo it -- I got a very sharp chemical slap in the face. I could pick up the rosewood and yuzu, but beyond that it was too alcoholic and peppery to get anything else.

About an hour later it died down a bit into a deep ashy patchouli, with a hint of powdery floral. Still too sharp for my taste. Overall it leaves me with a cloistering patchouli/powdery musk smell that seems way too mature for me. It's such a shame because the bottle is beautiful and so many other people smell sweetness which I just do not pick up at all.

I want to love this because the bottle is beautiful but again, I suppose I'm just an unlucky one!

octobertragedy

I owned a bottle of this 8-10 years ago, loved it to death, people always asked me what was that beautiful sweet, alluring, warm scent. I got another a year ago, and...all the good things I remembered about it were almost gone...Another reformulation failure! The patchouli, violet, honey notes almost faded into oblivion, leaving a flowery sweet vanilla, caramel, tarte fragrance, which is not bad, but...Why? This used to be magic, used to make me feel confident and happy.
I WISH I'd never bought this new one, because I'll probably never wear it...It is just a ghost of what it used to be.
Anyway, the new scent fades in 2 hours, stays close to my skin, nothing like the previous one, that was almost intoxicatingly powerful in terms of performance.
Still, my WISH? Chopard, please bring back my beloved true fragrance!

secretsweets

When I first spray it I detect Angel by Thierry Mugler than it Dry down to a powderyVanilla cream scent that smell like Queen of Hearts by Queen Lataifah it Beautiful

Mbrock

@deb.martinez- I think they have changed this perfume. I just opened my 4th bottle & the color, while blue, is a lot darker & it smells different. Very powdery now. It was a nice patchouli, caramel cozy scent. Neither scent ever did resemble Angel to me.

JustSimpleThings

The reviewer before me have already described this scent perfectly. It is a gourmand with a prominent patch note and lots of caramel.

TM Angel EDP is way too strong for me, but this one, I like. I definitely think it is more suited to colder weather. I can't wait to give this one a spin in the cooler months! It seems very promising.

As of now - having tested it on a summer day (22 degrees, high humidity) - the patchouli is a bit strong for me, but I could feel a very dense caramel note as well. Sweet, but not too sweet, still nice. The only reason why they bothered me is because I was testing other frags as well, and I couldn't - because Wish didn't let me smell anything else! I sprayed Wish on my ankle, because I read the reviews and I knew silage would be enormous... but it wasn't far enough!!! Standing upright it was all i could smell although i was trying to sniff stuff on my wrist.

Wish is a power to be reckoned with, one that deserves recognition and respect. Thumbs up from me

Update:
I tested it again, forgot where I sprayed it, and when I smelled it, I went "OMG what smells so amazing??" it smelled like toffees (but also slightly spicy). That's when I remembered, uh, it's Wish!
So yeah, I love it. This scent is a true chameleon!

skeletoff

This morphs around hour 2-3 for me. It starts off sweet and biting. Perfect for a winter night. Like something Jack Frost would wear...or Jacqueline Frost. I am getting much more of the 'balsamic' accord now that it has had some time to settle.

Aardwolf

Definitely a scent for young girls, sweet and tasty. I like it but would not wear this, as it does not suit my age.

Labaloo

Very beautiful. I highly agree with the reviewer below me, but wanted to add that it reminds me of a cross between Angel (but it is more "transparent" and luminous than Angel, without the funky green and powdery notes that turn people off from Angel) and Tom Ford Noir with that dark rose that floats in the head-space - yet Wish was released back in '99.

Another close fragrance to compare is the obscure gourmand called 'Divas' by Ungaro.

Overall a gourmand with prominent patch, and a berry-kissed rose at the heart, with a multitude of other notes dancing about. Longevity was about 18 hours for me; heavy sillage at first. 4/5 stars, and an overlooked gem for gourmand-lovers.

And oh! Gorgeous bottle! Like a holiday ornament!

SailorV

A beautiful patchouli gourmand oriental. I understand the comparisons with TM Angel, as they're both sweet, heavy on the patch, 90s fragrance bombs with long note lists and come in blue bottles. But Wish is not an Angel dupe, it smells quite different: Smoother and easier to wear, without the dirtier notes that turns many people off of Angel. It's still an intense nighttime/winter fragrance and for sure not for those who only wear light skin scents, but much less polarizing.
Wish is a sparkling, magical clean patchouli with lush, syrupy fruits, understated floral notes and dripping caramel on a powdery base. Sensual, feminine and well-blended. It's the predecessor to many darker fruitchoulis like La Nuit Trésor or Jimmy Choo. If you like this kind of fragrance, don't miss out on Wish!
And don't be afraid of the highly voted milk note if that's not your thing, not only can't I smell any milk here, I also could not find an official source for a milk note in Wish.

I don't know why I only really tried this great classic for the first time last winter. It's so affordable nowadays, I will get a bottle asap.

bashe

Remember Kai and Gerda? To me wish represents the scent of the snow queen...the bottle also indicates something dangerous, seductive...cold...which can hurt you, like a piece of broken mirror.

To me this is a winter perfume, that makes people keep their distance.

Holli

This is so spot on for me! I just love it. Comfy. Cozy. I wonder if someone I knew in school wore it because it feels like an old friend. Very baby powder (or body powder) and caramel to me. Lots of air. Not heavy. Just perfection. I think this is the first Chopard I've been into!

CoffeeCup

This is the grandmother of LVEB, Flowerbomb, Trésor La Nuit et al. Sweet, feminine and pretty. But in a more modest way. I quite like it.

The notes list is impressive, I wish I could smell even half of what's mentioned there. I do detect vanilla, caramel and some woodiness in it though. But I wish that Wish would reveal more of the notes, namely all the flowers, incense, tonka, rosewood... And where's the strawberry in it?

Hence, vanilla it is, not sure about the oriental part though. It's not deep or spicy enough for it.

gtabasso

a bit mainstream; at first I said oh no another fruitchouli then it changed and became complicated; I am really confused by the main notes according to votes and feel like most people must not be able to smell and just guess; this is a gourmand froutchouli but fruit and patchouli should be top of the list by far; patchouli, very sweet maybe from caramel but no scent of honey at all, mint, pear, strawberry and currant that register a bit like apple in the top, coconut, heliotrope, neroli and osmanthus with some tonka but this is not a vanillic fragrance; tonka and strawberries in the base like a dark strawberries and creme with some liquor

wanderingaroundthegarden

This is like angels quieter and more complex sister. It's progression is the most fascinating out of my entire collection. No wonder, with a notes list as extensive!? While I haven't been able to pick out every listed note, I find this scent intriguing. It's mild, but interesting. And the price is as awesome as the fume.

yguess

I really enjoy perfumes that have everything but the kitchen sink in them. To me it gives your skin a chance to make it your own. I also love when a perfume blooms and you can single out one note from the others. This does that in a subtle way, that doesn't distract from the overall scent. This is an affordable gem, long lasting and decent projection. Highly recommend if you like the fruit-chouli type scents. This also gets a fair bit of compliments.

Sherine777

I was quite hesitant to get this one given the controversy of the reviews, but...I'm so glad I did.

Actually I kinda put a bet on Nathalie Lorson, I can't imagine her crafting anything bad. I totally love it.

For me it falls in the same 'Gourmand Vanilla based with a bit of Patchouli' genre that I can't seem to get enough of, as La Vie Est Belle, La Nuit Tresor, Angel,..
But it's not a replica, it has its own character.

At the reasonable price tag, I find it to be a bargain.

Jacquis

Creamy, silky violets and vanilla. So decadent and luxurious. One of my favorite perfumes which I still can't believe is so reasonably priced. I can wear this all year long, regardless of temperature. I'm tempted to get a few back up bottles but I really need to stop this habit.

Lasts all day and into the next. Projects mildly but wafts at me all day long. Feels like living in a luxurious, sweet, vanilla and violet, powdery cloud. Just beautiful.

Back up bottle worthy.

Phantomias

According to the pyramid W. is a strange mix of all sorts of notes: caramel, toffee, milk, honey, black currant, strawberry and florals. W. should be a hot mess, but it's lovely. The sweet notes are balanced by soft florals, woods and spices. Longevity and sillage are average, making W. work safe.
Sometimes sweet perfumes can have harsh chemical notes. Angel by Mugler and Casmir by Chopard both have them, and they're off putting. W. is so well blended it avoids these missteps completely. It's powdery without being dusty, spicy without musty notes. W. is an intense fragrance that doesn't overwhelm the wearer. I don't like at least half of the notes in W. pyramid, but I love the perfume. It's feminine, soft and beautiful. The flacon is lovely, too. What more can one ask for?

cuteypeach

I always loved the beautiful diamond flacon. Unfortunately it smeels unbearingly sweet. The vanilla and power fragrances give me a headache and remind me of an old lady. I had to sell it.

Pinyae

On my first testing I'm reminded of something like a kids plastic doll that has been scented with a powdery, vanillastrawberry-ish kind of scent, but which now is quite long gone cause the doll is already old and quite used.

Like some others have said, to me as well this is kind of a sad scent. Probably cause it reminds me of that old, scented, worn out plastic doll.

I don't dislike the scent, but for now it only makes me a bit sad and I wouldn't know where to wear it nor would I like to smell of it.

_Lashes_

I only get the sweetness when i sniff the spray button. On my skin it's very balsamic and almost clinical. Someone below said it smells "sad" which I totally agree with. It actually reminds me of my granddad and he smelt like old spice and iced biscuits

AaronStar

Looks like its Angel's younger sister, she is sweeter, younger, more accessible, perhaps prettier, more cheerful and more friendly. By that, I mean the notes and cost, it is special, I am sold.

GardeniaLover

I love sweets, and sweet scents, this is now directly on my shopping list. Those notes, milk, caramel, vanilla, the long lasting projection. The price is also sweet!
I hope to update a review soon..

meg0825

This was a blind buy that I picked up for a great price. Such a pretty bottle. Wish is a milk, honey, and caramel smoothie with patchouli and a little smokiness. It smells absolutely beautiful in cool weather. So glad to have this in my collection!

SparkleCat

To be perfectly honest this gave me a headache and made me nauseous. I think there are just way too many notes going on in it so I’m giving to my mother for Christmas. She liked it though. It’s very synthetic to me and dries down like a nondescript “fresh” scent which I don’t really like... unfortunate because the bottle is absolutely classy af. Boo!

ForrealMe2

This is an Angel dupe for only the opening to the mids but then it calms down and turns into what the EDT would smell like a more fresh watered down lighter version of angel..this is a rare gem..i didn't know if i liked the mids too much but now that it has dried down its smells wonderful like a fresh patchouli with spices and honey and citrus...not bad at all...if you want the Mugler experience for a fraction of the price..look no further..and i would dare say if Angel is too much for you try this as this is a lighter version that I think most can handle..the bottle is gorgeous..just for the bottle it's worth the purchase lol and these are selling for a steal online

Update: this perfume went from smelling like Angel in the beginning tops to something completely different over time..you need to try this for a couple of days to adjust and see this..so beware this is NOT a full angel dupe..only for the tops but not as a whole...get Angel Muse EDP at a lower price for the real thing! This turns masculine and fresh sharp in a weird way..now i feel like i fight to like it..but i do like it

I like it but i dont love it. Wish is an okay gourmand ... but not more than that. Fortunately the price is right for this scent. I think The sweetness is a little bit over the top for me. I miss some cutting edge in opposition to the honey/ vanilla sweetness... maybe this is a really good scent for younger women.
On the positive side it` s not a noisy or messy scent inspite of the many notes. It` s well balanced so nothing stands out. It` s sweet, cute and clean.
Silage and longevity is way above average... amazing actually !
I`m a big fan of Angel and all it` s flankers... and wish smells abosolutely nothing like them.
The shower gel is amazingly much better than the perfume itself btw.

N8vDoll

I know we all perceive fragrances differently, but I just cannot stand the smell of Wish. Such a jumbled mess of notes. All I could smell was awful, sour bathroom cleaner. And I would NOT want my bathroom to smell like this. Yuck.

tizzy202

Very refreshing and sweet perfume! Kind of similar to Angel and Lolita Lempicka (I prefer Lolita out of the 3). Definitely perfect for spring I would say! The dry down smells a lot like honey and flowers. It gets a bit musky and vanilla-ish right at the end. I would say sillage and longevity are like 8/10. I got mine for £25ish for 75ml so definitely worth it! Not sure I would pay more though.. the scent is beautiful but not too unique to justify paying more!

locknotes06

I am to happy actually acquire an older bottle of this from a relative on an in-law alongside a couple of other which looks like it was regularly used.

Passed down treasure review #1:Wish by Chopard

The perfume color itself had turned green but the scent of it is still perfectly intact.Smelling it from the nozzle has this sweet, balsamic remnants of it which also smells a bit green and fresh. Now if you spray this on your skin, the initial smell blasts out a strong scent of like an astringent or maybe like a boozy light coloured liquor then subsides to this sweet thick dark amber sugar.Like the process of making caramel. You boil the sugar until it reaches a certain stage. It's that one. Then comes pouring the cream.Which turns into the caramel itself. It can detect a bit of floral in this one.Like a white dusty floral or a mild, sweet and wet soil on a humid day.So I assume it must be the patchouli kicking in.The Vanilla itself blends in seamlessly under those sweet milky notes and wet soil sensation that it gives me.Also gives me a smell of myrrh or probably some sweet resin that lays underneath all that.

Regarding to it's similarities on Angel.I can tell you that this a smoother version of angel.A smooth caramel and a cleaner patchouli that doesn't smell peppery or should i say, armpit stench of someone who forgot to wear deodorant on a hot summer day.The dirty patchouli on Angel is so dirty that it can turn sharp under the warm or humid weather. This one just got that smooth blend in it while TM's Angel has a sharp dirty, minty patchouli and the smell of a rough and grainy caramel which goes on fights on my skin throughout the day.Angel goes dirty patchouli then caramel then dirty patchouli then caramel. The moment I shower without using any some is when it all tames down to a balance of the two loud notes.

Longevity is excellent in this one while projection-wise.I cannot really tell.

The whiffs you get is so pleasant to the nose and its like a cloud in the night. It's comforting and well balanced.

The bottle is really cute but mine probably fell because a portion of the bottom was chipped off haha.

mod25

It's a very noisy scent but in a good sense - a bit ambient, a bit white noise-y, but all in all one of the easiest and pleasant gourmand scents to wear. I do get some resemblance to Angel, but I find Wish less demanding, more eager, less loud - I love one commentator's description that Wish is Angel's no-nonsense, quieter cousin - it's so on point. It's quieter but it doesn't mean it does not have anything to say.

It's my kind of vanilla, sweet and powdery, complex but not overbearing, a bit on the younger side but still elegant and smart.

The bottle is beautiful - it's so hard to throw it away - but not the easiest one to carry in a purse.

Deutsch100

First off...this smells absolutely NOTHING like Thierry Mugler Angel. I have worn Angel almost daily since 1994, and have gone thru all the flankers, and Chopard Wish is just nothing like Angel.

Wish's bottle and the colour of the fragrance are V E R Y Angel-esque however. You can tell that Chopard really wanted to channel Angel in their packaging.

Chopard Wish is not "bad", but on my skin it smells very much like drug store Vanilla Fields :-O The first spray is oddly harsh. I mean for a hot second it is like Noir de Noir meets Paloma Picasso, and then it very quickly morphs into a warm, sweet and cheap vanilla.

Longevity is naturally great....when I am not in love with a scent, it is long lasting. Murphy's Law. Sillage is not weak, but Wish makes itself noticeable.

This is one of those not bad scents, but just nothing special or remarkable. If you like it, there are many online sites that carry Wish, and it can be had for about $20. A bargain for a very bargain smelling scent ;)

Xenia0504

A perfume that is sophisticated and aristocratic with amazing projection and duration.

To my nose there is no connection with "Angel", as "Angel" has a basic formula that needs to be blended with the skin elements in order to emit its sweetness - if it does, it depends on the skin. "Wish", on the other hand, is one of those perfumes that remains the same.
If, however, a comparison with "Angel" needs to be made, I would say that "Wish" is definitely more refined and delicate.

I personally believe that "Wish" has reached prominence only because of its scent, without any promotion or advertisement. In an era where over a hundred perfumes exist but only ten of them one smells everywhere due to publicity, "Wish" manages to survive without modern tools, only relying on its formula and wearing result.

This is a fragrance of a respectable jewellery house that costs really reasonably and its smell is literally devine. Thus, for me it is a perfume I will always return to in winters to come.

kipi.chan

The initial spray reminds me of angel but that is were the resemblance ends. I would wear this any day any time 24/7.

AnlisaC

Oh MY this smells great. To me this is much more powdery than Angel. So pretty, I’d wear this in the fall. Sillage pretty good not as strong as Angel thou. Longevity pretty good.
This has a tong of notes in it. I see smoky knows and honey 2 of my favorites. But the strawberry and vanilla evens it out with sweetness. I generally happy with this fragrance but again I’ll be wearing it in fall months coming ahead.

evatgirl73.1

I reviewed this when I first got it during much colder weather, and it’s one I really do like but don’t really find myself reaching for a lot.
I am on a mission today though to test out some “ beware of summer heat” fragrances to see how they behave on me, and this is one of the first ones. It’s only in the 90’s (Fahrenheit!) here today and so far I am really pleasantly surprised. I was exp3cting almost an overwhelming cloying situation but truthfully, it is really blossoming into a much sweeter, fresher scent in the heat vs colder weather! The same notes are still there but the heat seems to emphasize the fruity, floral and lightly sweet milky notes on me. Not too heavy at all!

AHeartLikeMine

Like many others, I can smell a clear resemblance between this and Angel. I'd describe this as Angel's no-nonsense, quieter cousin. Wish lacks the projection and sillage of Angel, and is less complex and sweet (I'd recommend layering it with scents that have the following notes: honey, vanilla, and cotton candy). It shares most of the top notes, but seems more balsamic and aldehydic. (Edited to add: today I'm smelling more incense / smoky notes from Wish, and almost no sweetness at all). However, if you like the general scent of Angel and don't want to shell out the $$$ for it, Wish is an affordable dupe.

Germany

Wish is one of those good classics of the late 90 s , I keep going back to it and I completely admire this scent ,it’s sweet and clean and powdery all at the same time. It’s a gourmand that smells like cream, bath and soap to my nose. A unique blend in a beautiful diamond shaped bottle with wonderful unique blue juice. It’s addictive to say the least and I haven’t smelled a scent that is even close to this. Many compare it to angel but besides the colour and the unique shaped bottle I don’t see what is there to compare.
Wish is a gem ,no pun intended ! I will always have it in my collection and it just recently moved up to my top shelf again as I am enjoying it so much and it brings me so many positive compliments. It makes me feel like a just stepped out of the bath , fresh clean and sweet. I bought my first bottle in the early 2000 s along with Kenzo flower , and those two were my signature scents , still love both to this day ! I hope it never gets discontinued.

juniemoon

So, again, this is one in my rapidly expanding collection that I bought over a year ago in my noobie frenzy, I think most of us have been there! I am trying to stay on a slow buy by reading the forum posting on this subject, and go back to it when feeling like I'm weakening. As in not buying a fragrance 'just because', or it's cheap, etc.

And now giving it an earnest wearing today. It is rather cool outside for late June, but I really feel this blooming on me in the moderately warm temperatures.

Wow, that list of notes really is a cornucopia of ingredients that covers just about everything known to perfumers' noses!

Making it a little challenging to pick out specific notes, but I'll try my best. I believe I do pick up on the coconut, making this a good warm spring to summer possibility, vanilla and amber, and the sweet caramely notes definitely sensing these. As for the flowers, definitely the violet is the star here, this is what is probably contributing to the powderiness. I also think I can smell the heliotrope, as it is a favourite of mine and have some with this note prominent. If there are white florals they don't stand out to me at all. The wood notes definitely do.

And also this lovely lasts on me a good few hours, which for me is outstanding.

Wish truly is a must have in any serious perfume aficionado's collection, it's a beauty, a classic and also very easy on the wallet. A winner which I hope is never discontinued. I will absolutely buy another when mine is done.

Tigi

I've already reviewed this fragrance, but wanted to come back and mention that, though Wish is a beautiful, complex and sweet gourmand, I find it perfectly fine for all year round wear. Of course, for me the difference is in application. Wearing a tiny bit in warm, humid weather is as lovely and long lasting as several sprays in colder, drier weather. The fragrance smells the same in both but these are my experiences regarding weather-related performance.

EmmaBelle

This opens as a powerful and sharp balsamic patchouli scent. It's a statement perfume with good sillage and an intoxicating aroma that has you repeatedly inhaling from your wrist for more. It certaintly has Angel DNA, and the patchouli stays pleasantly strong through the powder dry down. It's sexy, seductive and sophisticated.

samantham-123

I finally got to experience the legend that is Chopard Wish today, i havent smelled Angel edp so im impartial to that comparison, i do know that its not really anything like the angel EDT though as i have tried that..wasnt a fan.

Anyway..Wish, its a strange one.
Ive never really understood what people meant when they described a perfume as " skanky" or " dirty" until today.
It started as a strong as hell patchouli and caramel bomb and didnt really differ much from that for about 45 minutes. It was stuffy and overbearing. Then after that it actually morphed into something quite fresh and sweet.
Many years ago as a child, I remember my Mum having a big glass jar of decorative glycerin soaps on the bathroom bench, they were all different shapes and colours. With all the different flavours in the one jar the smells all mixed into one big soapy, fruity, herbal mess.
This is the first thing that came to mind when i smelled Wish; an old vintage patchouli scented soap with hints of dark chocolate.
It was unique in its own right, and i respect it for that, but its not really for me

Pivoinie

Beautiful classic, it indeeds reminds of the era when Angel was all around in the streets, and it also reminds me of Destiny by Harley Davidson - my first perfume love. I recently bought Wish in a nostalgic mood, but unfortunately I cannot wear it anymore (my skin is doing something funny with patchouli lately). I gifted it to a friend and she was really excited about the 90s vibe of this fume!

evatgirl73.1

Just got this in the mail today, it was a blind buy recommended to me here and I am so happy I bought it! It has been said before: this is what I wish Angel would smell like on me. I do get the comparison, except where this smells lovely, sweet and sexy on me Angel smells like a goats armpit (on ME, it can be lovely on others).
This is a great fragrance in its own right, it’s not really fair to constantly compare it to Angel but initially it does have the same vibe.
It seems really complex, it has a bit of a sharpness on first spray but it mellows out to a soft, well balanced, sweet scent pretty quickly. It’s not a very “in your face” scent but I kept getting whiffs of it here and there while I was working in a very pleasant way.
I like it a lot, I could see this being in my top 5..!

the purple rose

This perfume smells like a mint tooth paste at first then smells like nice toffee and vanilla. This perfume smells so nice i love it,it's making me hungry. really good 9/10.

catwoman408

Heady, but not heavy. Imagine a quiet but elegant night at home. Champagne and hot cocoa next to the fire, making s'mores with Belgian chocolate and handmade marshmallows. Wish is everything beautiful about being indoors, cozy and relaxed, on a cool winter evening.

Melpo

It reminds me of an old brand of sweet cough pastilles (it hasn't been in the market for decades) and patchouli. Peculiar and enjoyable.

Lynnieb82

Just purchased this and its so pretty. Such an amazing price too $30 for 75ml at Chemist warehouse. I totally get an ice queen vibe from this if Elsa from frozen wore a perfume this would be it lol!

Midnight Lady

Quite pleasant milky-powdery perfume. For me it's too sweet where vanilla and caramel meet. I don't get oriental vibe from this as much as I find it rather warmer clubbing scent.

Winter and fall suitable. It's quite strong so I would be careful not to overspray-

Loredana0108

Sweet, but not toothache-inducing, strong, but not loud, feminine, but not girly. Wish is Angel's shy, introverted, but interesting nonetheless cousin. Incense is there to balance all the gourmand notes and the lactonic notes add softness to the composition. Wish is a comfort scent for me, perfect for cold days, stressful days, boring days. Boosts my mood all the time, makes me feel safe, secure and at home under a warm blanket with a cup of hot chocolate :) I have other favorites in my perfume collection, but Wish is close to my soul. Hope they never discontinue it

BlueFan

I'll be completely honest, I only bought this for the bottle. The fact that I quite like the juice is merely a bonus. I got 30ml for a good price online, so I'm happy.

I would agree with airglow's comments about the opening notes - very heady indeed. But after about 30 minutes, I've got a lovely powdery, yet spicy aroma on me that I think would still project quite well, so I am definitely going to limit this to one spray per wear so as not to choke everyone around me.

It's 30 degrees in Christchurch today, and I only put a tiny bit on my forearm to try it out, but already I think this will be worn for cooler days and evenings. Will stroke the bottle lovingly every day though :)

haylinr94

jesus.... It's like someone mashed in a huuuge bowl a whole lot of ingredients like " well.. they each smell good ---> it will smell even better together" WRONG. It is a big mashup. My nose actually went crazy while smelling it the first time and my brain just couldn't understand the smell and the maaany notes it detected. A huge no. The persistence is not good and you will end up smelling... cheap.. that's the word for it.

Daria_21

I'm super late to the Wish train, but I'm glad I got on it nonetheless.

I haven't been able to find this where I live (Ottawa, Canada), but finally landed upon it yesterday in a drugstore - 75ml for $20! A steal, and even though I have never smelled it, I couldn't pass it up.

I eagerly sprayed it on my wrist, then proceeded to log into Fragrantica to pour over the notes, scent pyramid and reviews. You guys never disappoint!

This fragrance seems to have everything but the kitchen sink in it, and while I really can't discern many notes (not that I'm good at that, anyways), my nose predominantly picks up sweet, yet tart, sugar crusted berries. I don't find this resembles the original Angel at all (which I own and love), however I do find it quite resembles Angel eau Sucree (various editions, a few of which I also own and love). Tart, sugared berries is really what I smell. No toffee, no milky quality, no honey really, and mild on the patchouli. I don't find it powdery at all, nor floral. Just delicious, sugary, berries (I'm sounding like a broken record here).

I do think this is a sophisticated gourmand - this is no fun loving Pink Sugar here. I feel this can be worn on various occasions, and in various degrees of weather. On my skin, projection is fairly heavy for the first two hours, then settles into a delicious scent that sits fairly close to my skin, yet still gives me beautiful wafts throughout the next several hours. I'm wearing this again today, and I'm really enjoying it.

If you love sweet, wearable, sophisticated gourmands, and can get your hands on this, don't hesitate.

Love.

Carrieberry

This is Love, but not at first sight. My expectations were all wrong. I expected a powerhouse, strong fragrance due to the comparisons to Angel and people describing it as "cloying" or "too strong". I blind-ordered it from eBay and assumed it was a fake because it is much subtler and floral/powdery than expected. I verified the authenticity with a sample that a fellow generous Fragrantican sent and after knowing it is the real deal have been wearing Wish a lot. I fell in love. It is a subtle scent that has enough warmth to be worn in every season (haven't tried it in crazy heat though). The note that stands out to me is the beautiful honey. Usually honey in perfumes is nauseating to me...but not in Wish. My husband rarely comments on gourmand fragrances but complemented me on Wish. Beautiful fragrance for all occasions (in my opinion). Lasting power is not over the top, might have to re-apply during the day.

meissie1982

This one still has a special place in my heart.
During my internship at a perfume shop I smelled this one short after her release.
I loved the bottle, the blue juice, the sweet and dreamy smell of it.
I knew I had to buy a bottle of it! And I did, I went thru a 75 ml like crazy.
When the end was near I bought a new one.
And so Wish is a staple in my wardrobe for years.

Back then I did not knew that patchouli would became one of my most beloved notes.
That sweet vanilla together with a milky coconut drives men crazy I guess.
When I wear this I get compliments all day long.

My husband does not like it LOL he loves Rush by Gucci. (I got that in the same year as Wish and used the two a lot during my early twenties.)

I still have one vintage sealed back up 30 ml edp bottle in the "old" box.
I see Wish for good prices all the times.
And due to that I bought a new formula 30 ml edp and 75 ml edp.
Will use it more often during the colder months to come.
