Allina Ethereal

This one is another timeless and romantic one for me.

Célèbre is a gentle floral fragrance from Avon. Some say it has fruity notes too, but on me they are not noticable at all, and if there are any, they are very gentle and mild, there is no any sharpness nor edge to its composition, it is very soft and romantic - it is not girly nor sweet, it is a very elegant blend.
Recognizable notes are definitely Cyclamen, but also Peony, Freesia, White Magnolia, Lily-of-the-Valley and Jasmine and Cedar can be noticed after some time too.
Fragrance is beautiful for spring, it is soft, gentle, floral, slightly fresh but without harsh edges.

Sillage, fo me and on me, is moderate - radiates within arm length and longevity is approx between 3-5 hours. It is quite affordable and it blends very beautifully with oil-perfumes I make and own that have forest fruit, lily, rose, blackcurrant, blackberry and dusty woody notes.

It does not have that uniqueness like Avon`s "Surreal", or Diptique`s L’Ombre Dans L’Eau Eau (which is my personal signature scent and favourite) and it is definitely more romantically ingenue type of fragrance, but with a dash of daydreaming and mature softness.
It has ethereal quality to it.
It is not a girly-scent, it can fit both younger and older population.

meliecat

It used to be a simple but sensational scent for everyday use. Then they totally reformulated it and toned it down.. 20 years ago it was my signature scent, now it's only a ghost of a shell. What it used to be is rebottled, relabelled and called TTA Always now - the exact same juice. Such a shame. But at least still available, in a different form.

JKeto

Smells like something a woman in her 50s would use as a toilet freshener.

Twentzel

Rosy floral, slightly sweet, and slightly woody.
Not amazing, but pleasant. For everyday use.
To my nose, it's not like J'adore or Chloe.
Moderate sillage and longevity on my skin.

fragrantbarbie

The short:

Scent Profile: floral, fresh, delicate, girly
Performance: moderate to low, sillage arms' length
Value for Money: Ok, classy, elegant fragrance for very little

The long:

Warm springtime, sunhats and floral print dresses comes to mind when I smell this. She opens up with an intense floral accord, with peony and muguet, lightly accented by pepper, center-stage. It gradually gives way to a light woody base that gives an impression of a freshly cut flower, gently warmed by the sun. Classy, elegant and perhaps a little nondescript, but not every perfume has to be an olfactory revelation. Performance is not the best: only 3 to 4 hours with a small scent trail, but for the small price I won't mind overspraying. Sample if possible as the intense floral character could be headache inducing for some, but overall she should be great for any occasion without looking like you're trying too hard. I would highly recommend her for young girls looking to move on from sweet bubblegum scents to more mature, flowery ones.

muguetta

Given the super-huge depreciation of Turkish Lira, I'm saving my designer perfumes for special occasions and looking for a cheap perfume to wear daily in the office. This one from Avon would have been a nice floral-fruity scent, but it unfortunately sits super-close to skin, and it's gone in an hour! I tested other Avon perfumes (Premier Luxe, Rare Gold, Eve Confidence, Little Black Dress) which were acceptable in terms of longevity and silage, but this is too much watered down, you only get the smell the moment you spray it, and it's gone till you reach the office! Even at this price point, this is thievery!

Edit: Just realised all the perfumes I told that they performed better are EDP's, and Celebre is an EDT. I have used some EDT's with amazing longevity, like Issey Miyake Pleats Please, but of course it would be super silly to compare this to a twenty times more expensive designer perfume.

Kiran4deep

Yes this is a cheap perfume but not a cheap scent at all.. Longevity is not that good (only 3 hrs) but a €10 perfume can perform only this much... White flowery musk.. Best for bed time... It's a pleasant scent for so many people.. My friend is a nurse and she can apply only this type of fragrance.. You can try but don't expect much..

xabaras

A delicate, charming cyclamen/hiacynth fragrance which does not scream in your face and does not go all rancid on my skin. It would be a good lighter (and cheaper) replacement for Blue by La Perla. Celèbre is less complex, but the drydown is almost the same, crispy fresh flowers, not sharp, not sweet.
I like it. It is for Summer and also for after a shower when I want to feel "cute".

timchusz

I think this was my first perfume as a teenager... Looking back I couldn't decide if I liked it or not, but now I definitely wouldn't wear it. It's not a nice floral scent at all, it's more of a sharp..

imoore

I equally love Pleasure from Estee Lauder (vtg) as well as this perfume for summer nights. Dry white flowery musk.

leothebackcat

God I absolutely love this eau de toilette it's such a joyful, feminine, romantic and an unoffensive fragrance. I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the floral frances, but I really enjoy wear this one. It has an intimate sillage but I think that's great because you can wear it during the day without bothering people around. It lasts about 4/5 hours on my skin which is not bad for eau de toilette.

spellbownt

cool scent but not for my age and not for my style.

it has beautiful peony, cyclamen and fruity notes with pepper in the first two hours, then the most floral notes are gone. a fruity scent, at least on my skin, but not like a young and girly scent. THIS IS NOT A TEENAGER PERFUME. the bottle i got is pretty old probably somebody gave it to my mom as a gift and she hates this perfume so much. she says celebre is for ladies in their 50s at least (probably because of pepper and plum notes) and i agree with her but not 50s, 40s are enough i guess. she doesnt even like the scent of it, she just kept it and even she doesnt know why.

- not the best sillage (i mean this is an avon scent i guess when my mom got this, i believe it wasnt more expensive than a cheap fastfood lunch) BUT surprisingly long lasting.
- can be a good gift.
- to be honest it can also be suitable for people in their 20 who love vintage stuff.
- dont expect a floral-white floral scent, it is a floral-fruity-pepper scent. THE PEPPER NEVER GOES AWAY.

joydoge

I'm sorry but I hate this perfume. It's a floral bomb at first spray, simultaneously sharp and slightly powdery. It reminds me of a cheap, sharp version of Chloe perfumes, which I also dislike.

speranza16

I am looking for a perfume that I used to have 12 years ago. Could somebody please confirm this has like 2-phase/two layers of liquid? Pink on the bottom and a bit oily whitish layer in the upper part of the bottle?

SailorV

Waxy, creamy, fresh spring flower petals. I smell the blend of magnolia, jasmine, freesia, cyclamen and a hint of lily of the valley, which all together reminds me of tulips. I know, most tulips don't have a scent, but some do and they smell similar to this. The peony comes out further in the drydown, but I don't think this is as peony-focused as the voted notes suggest at the moment. This is pure and dewy, almost aquatic. More if an abstract, synthetic floral than a naturalistic one. If the scent had a color it would be a glossy white. I think there must be some clean laundryesque musk in the base, too.

I wouldn't have chosen to try this, I got a sample as an extra with my other samples, and I wouldn't get a bottle, but I think it's quite a pretty option for a fresh floral lover on a budget.

rougetnoir

This is a floral crispy fragrance, unoffensive, day time wearable, perfect for the office. You can smell fresia and pepper quite well. No, it doesn’t reminds J’Adore at all.

Anabasis

OMG now she is so simply but decades ago she was my very first parfum. I bought one of them when i was 11 by spended my money. Sorry ladies, first love is never forgetting.

mshimoz

I liked the scent , but it's like um spraying water , how weak !!! Dislike.

LilKit101

I had a couple of bottles of this (thanks to a best friend who is also an Avon rep) in my collection which Iv'e since offloaded to a nieghbour. I really, really don't like this and I have no idea why. If I happen to be around when someone is wearing this It makes me want to throw open all the windows, pick one and jump out. I don't know why my nose finds it so offensive, it shouldn't, there is nothing listed in this scent that that should evoke such a negative reaction...but unfortunately it does. Ah well different strokes for different folks I suppose!

sarka-destiny

I loved and used only this fragrance, when I was under 20. I had more fragrances, but this one was kind of my "signature".
Now I cant stand Avon scents anymore on my skin. Except one.
This may be nice floral fragrance for young ladies.

ana hen

When I smell it first time I thought that at 90 my sister had something very similar.

Very nice fresh perfume quite similar to blooming bouquet dior or maybe to versace bright crystal at cold crispy notes.

Affordable and at my point of view one of the best from avon now.

mystica

Sometimes we musn't let reviews influence us. I can't believe I actually haven't tried Celebre in perfume (rather than body cream) falling under the influence of negative opinions on it: "Too common, cheap, teenager etc." are just some of them. Not so...

That's a lightly spicy/fruity floral; and totally an ageless, classical, feminine perfume. It's true it doesn't last long, but just the right thing for me considering the scent and if I'm choosing Celebre over anything else in my wardrobe. This perfume does it night/day, all seasons, and all occassions.

Must have, it's a bargain, and not nearly as common as it's exxagerated. For example, definitely no more common than Lancome's LVEB + its dupes and all other fruitychouli hype which I so frequently smell around.

asiabal

it is a soft and fresh perfume. suitable for all ages. unfortunately not long lasting :(

polkadot27

I have this one, on first spray I get an overwhelming oriental, somewhat metallic floral with a sickly sweetness pouring through. However it settles almost instantly into this gentle floral peppery oriental, scent. It dries down into an acidic fruity slightly boozy/ beer like smell, though not unpleasant, slightly synthetic. I do like this one, but it is the initial spray I am fond of, the dry down, not so fond of. The initial spray is an explosion of floral and fruits toppled with treacle. Afterwards it fades into a skin scent which is comforting and pleasant but nothing spectacular. The silage isn't that great on my skin, nor is the lasting power. However I do like this one and its a perfume you can wear for just lazing around or going for a light lunch, it wont blow minds though. The classic golden colour of the juice matches the scent. It does smell like an 80s/90s scent, but just not interesting enough to feel vintage and classic for me.

ramuniux427

This perfume is one of my favourites because of its mildness and brightness. When I smell it, it takes me back to my teenage days. This perfume was created to celebrate the happiness of youthfullness.

infinitelady

Ahh this fragrance takes me back my youth days about 15 years ago it was sultry fruity reminds me of summer unbelievably it got discontinued they should off updated the bottle though never updated it since it came out.

Marilia -Mariliaki

This fragrance got when I was 17 from a dealer of Avon which I suggested it because it was a very good offer and also told me that is a must for my age. He convinced me and got it. Specified without any duration, it was like not wearing anything. I liked the body cream of the same series which is a better choice.

LadyPilot

My perfect countryside-summer-holiday scent B-)

Yessamin

And celebre ice?

BikiniBabe

Ha ha ha... another Avon review! In case u are wondering why on Earth i had this many Avon perfumes... well... in my early teens ...12 or 13 i started to want to be girly and experiment with womanly stuff...makeup, nail polish, perfumes and so on. And because i felt very much a grown up... i wanted a job as well. So i became an Avon lady... ehem...Avon girl! And i used the money that i made to finance my new hobby. I actually made pretty good money and my family was very proud of my entrepreneurial skills. Ha ha ha!

Celebre... it's an olfactory sensation for its price. Just because it's in a pink bottle don't let it fool u in thinking it's a young girl's smell. On the contrary its very elegant and flowery. A perfect perfume for women in their 30s. It's only downside is it's popularity and almost everyone has it or had it or will receive it as a gift. =)

U can follow me on YouTube @ BeautyOnSale

LaUna

Straightforward floral scent. Pepper and citrus add crispness to this bouquet, however that turns a bit sour on my skin later on. I can tell peony and lilly of the valley are main players here.
It has that common floral signature.
Affordable price and good for daytime.

fermanto23456

i dont know but i swear 2GOD,i tried very hard 2love avon but my big problem is that they r all smell the same 2my nose, lbd, lwd, incand, treselle, pur blanca, celebre
all smell the same 2 me
not smell bad, just the same with 2minutes loasting on me only
is anybody here feel the same?or it is just me

malikado

a good one for every day ...light & delight

powdepuff

I absoloutely love this perfume, so feminine and uplifting, but the perfume in th ebottle goes bad quick unless you use it up fast. I've had three bottles of this so far and only cos i find that the smell changes within 6 months of purchase. good thing its almost ALWAYS on offer so i never paid full price. plus the lasting power isnt so great lasts about 4 hours.

universe

according to me, this perfume is a bad imitation of dior jadore...

RonaRona93

It's just a beautiful fragrance for spring and summer . A very simple and gentle floral, and i don't get any fruits at all. I'm a bit disappointed cuz' it smelled so much better on paper( soft and more fruity-powdery), but it is OK and i don't regret buying it , it's cheap and good perfume.
Now i know what it smells likee !!! Not like J'adore (don't mess celebre with the masterpiece ! ) , it smells same as Nivea deodorant Pure and Natural -lotus scent.

Edit- I totally dislike it now :S !, i can't stand the freesia note and it's too sharp(smells like l'Eau d'Issey- which i dislike too! ) I have to throw it or give it to someone

Gyöngy

Not bad but it is going to be smelly soon after first use so you have to finish all this EDT in 2 months.

(Magyarok talán jobban megértik: felbontás után nagyon gyorsan megbüdösödik, ajánlatos néhány 1-2 hónapon belül felhasználni.)

RonaRona93

Celebre lovers , it's on the market again !! :D:D:D

Starlight_Angel

My very first thought about this scent was that it smells very much like a shampoo I used when I was a small child, which stirred a pleasant and nostalgic olfactory induced memory.

Célèbre opens very fruity, but it's not sharp or tangy. The fruits are smooth and verging on creamy, like in yogurt (or shampoo). It's very lovely.

Throughout its development there is a spiciness under the surface which comes from the pepper, but really, I don't find that this one changes all that much in the dry down, but it is in fact a very wearable linear scent which doesn't become boring.

In terms of lasting power and sillage, Célèbre is one of Avon's more successful creations for me, as it stayed for over 5 hours on my skin, and even garnered a compliment or two while I was wearing it.

This is definitely one of the best Avon scents for me...just a crying shame that it's discontinued.

twillocks

No,no,no . . . not for me too something just cannot put my finger on it.

peonia555

on me it doesn't smell like "j'adore" at all. It's much lighter, though I'd wear it in winter/fall and not in spring/summer. It doesn't smell "very young", I'd see it worn by a woman in her 40s as it's elegant and sophisticated. That being said, I quite like it and I'd buy a bottle if it's reasonably priced.

mimi88

to me dior jadore edt version smells like avon celebre ice so maybe this one smells like jadore edp??

beata.dźwilewska

I had a very long time ago, if I liked it less now.
In Poland, it was one of the cheapest perfume. Obecine can be bought for 24.00 PLN = 5.32 EUR
Note: be careful, leave stains on white clothes.

Wersja Pl :

marianalbir

is it really smell like j'adore??

lolita_lolita_roro

light sweety love it so much
lasts so good

perfumeholic88

Some years ago my mom was fan of this fragrance. In Celebre are a lot of flowers and some pepper. Good for spring. Not bad but not lasting so long.

karolla28

This fragrance remindes me of my teenage years, now I have body cream is very soft and got nice scent. I like it very much.

janmcm

I just have a couple of samples of this and wore it for a few days, it's not a very exciting perfume. It smells a bit old fashioned tho not unpleasant, like a favourite aunt.
It's just kinda boring, I won't be buying the bottle.

madhatter1

Mother in law gave it to me, nice fruity floral. It also liked at the time I finished the bottle.

tigergirl

I love sandalwood perfumes

pw

smells so fresh when i put it on i just like it so much good value for money too

Habanita

I know I had a smaple of this but don't remember much of it anymore, just that I didn't like it. Most often Avon scents are very generic and with bad lasting power. Sometimes even with a strong alcoholic note.

Liina

Avon has discontinued so many wonderful scents and Celebre is definitely one of them. Celebre is one of the most beautiful floral-fruity fragrances by Avon. It's very feminine, I wouldn't say it's girly. It's not very original though, smells classic and elegant. Golden colour would be more suitable for it. Although it gets sweeter and more 'pink' after a while. It's pretty heavy on my skin, seems to have a great sillage (but I only have a tester to try it).

sunphlwr23

This perfume smells so lovely. I have never had so many compliments about a perfume. I would love to buy more and wish that Avon would bring it back.

Radchick

I sort of like this scent because it has a classic, crisp, almost retro feeling about it to me, with the mostly floral notes. The biggest problem is that I can't smell if after a very short time. It seems to go on strong enough at first but within an hour it's gone. It's a pleasant fragrance but I wish it lasted longer.

rabab02

I love it very so....

Eng.Blossom

Very very soft
and it smells like a flower
give me a fresh feeling
I think it's the best for day time
I just love it

fanciful

Actual notes:

TOP: fruits, cyclamen, peach, pepper
MIDDLE: magnolia, freesia, jasmine, peony, lilyofthevalley
BASE: sandalwood, cedar, musk, amber, oakmoss

aizen86

It is fresh, fruity and floral. But it is a good perfume overall. The longevity is good around 7 hours.

ameskay

liked it when i was in my early 20s, it became my signature scent and everyone liked it, but when i tried it again early this year, it has become a tad too unpleasant to the nose and just like the rest of avon's perfume - it smelt cheap.

izabela

For winter white(with snow)morning. Very very nice:)

picuri82

I was an Avon rep for 2 years and a bit and I sold a few. I guess it is for young girls but at the time I was rep I was young myself but didn't like it at all. I believe it is ordinary in it's class and does not last at all. Avon is lucky that appeals to girls who cant afford better (probably the only reason it still sells).

perfumes_addict

very common and boring. it smells like a soap.

lucy77

perfect and lovely.....the great one

sarselia

I had this perfume many times and I liked it for its floral and light way.
but it does not last long and as you all wrote it is suitable for young teenage girls because it's soft and joyful.

weswessa

femenine,delicate,one of my favorites.

SPOILEDnose

Classic, sweet, nice price but absolutely NOT UNIQUE...

Althea

bought it 3 times in a row, when I was younger, it is cheap and smells great for a casual day, very cute and romantic

nouny

thats what i use now, 4m the best fragrances i have ever put, every1 is asking about its name and 4 all ages but with teens is alot popular;)

hydrangea

I got it when im 17, it's soft sweet&cute. But not long lasting

dolita

i think that one is very suitable for the teen its not attractive as much as i need it smells a lil bit fruity with a lil bit citrus

MondeoGirl

Light, carefree, refreshing. Waterfruits and flowers make this a perfect daytime scent for any age.

crysna

thank GOD it's available in europe cuz in U.S.A. it's discontinued. it's a lovely, soft, femenine, elegant and refined fragrance, not overwhelming at all. another great perfume from avon!
the bottle is cute as the name too!

Halvah

A few years ago it was the most popular perfume beyond teenager girls, it's a nice floral fruity, one of the great succeses of Avon.
