Just like how movie reviews cannot be trusted based on popularity, so with scents as well. Just the fact this scent has sold millions is a testament to the idiocracy.

Who doesn't want to smell like sweat mixed with saponin, right? Is that what the glow is referring to?? I remember when this first came out and laughed at this dull dishwater scent. I was actually surprised by this ridiculously low effort fragrance.

Well, I sure do not want to pay for that and definitely do not want that scent bottled.

Are you sure you aren't being punked? Perhaps JLo did this on purpose just to see the reaction of the masses and whether they would buy it based on her celebrity as well as hype?

This reminds me of the social experiment where a perfume bottle of only tap water was sprayed on people's wrists and they were told it was a new and very expensive perfume and the people randomly asked for their opinions. They all came up with all these imaginary "subtle" scents and all they were actually smelling was their own skin. Only a couple people insisted it smelled like nothing or could barely smell anything.

Hilariously overrated scent. This is like having no scent or B.O in a bottle.

Mycoleman2800

This perfume is an absolute love for me!! This is the first celebrity perfume that I ever purchased. I bought this when it first came out. I turned 45 last Friday and I still wear it now. Glow smells so classic and clean on me with a fresh musky dry down. A beautiful soft clean musk that I can smell on me all day. It lasts on my shirts and sweaters for a very long time. I'm not sure if you can tell yet, but I really like this fragrance lol. But seriously this is another one that blends beautiful with my body chemistry. I hope they never stop making it. This is one that I will always have in my rotation. I like to wear this to work on days when I'm really stressed. There is something about this perfume that's comforting. It lingers around me like a cloud. I don't have to re-apply during the day. When a perfume is still with you throughout the day it's definitely a keeper and it's not expensive. That's a win in my book.

indiglo

I've had this one for awhile, wear infrequently.
Nice enough but not a fave.
Tried it again recently and enjoyed the fact I could still smell little whiffs of it on myself the next morning. I think that's when I like it best, the far drydown.

tinyfluffyshark

I was gifted this as a kid and noone but me and my dad liked it. My dad probably loved the jasmine in it. It was really sweet and I don't think I'd like it today. Very strong and loud.

Indexfinger

Tried it today, there is a note in here that is very screechy and strong. This note does not seem to disappear

Gaugamela

This is a classic for a reason. I respectfully disagree with the kind reviewer who maintains that if you have Casual or Glow, you don’t need the other. I think Glow is a necessity - it presents the softer, more nuanced, radiant side of the largely similar notes offered in Casual’s boppy, cheerful, bright and outgoing and immediate composition which is absent the woodsier & warmer notes and presents a bright sweet floral burst, while Glow simmers. Think of it as two girls at a nightclub: Casual is out on the floor laying it down to the music and Glow is chillin in the VIP lounge. Both are excellent choices, just different spaces. Having owned Casual first for many years, I still yearned for Glow, and rightly so. It absolutely lives up to and is described by its name. J. Lo struck gold with this one, I wonder if it’s not the most popular fragrance released in the past 25 years - there must be close to 1 billion bottles sold.

fformoso88

All I smell from this is bug spray. Just bug spray. Not good, a synthetic, cheap, hot mess. No shade though lol.

SueG

I really like this. Very clean soapy musky rose, very fresh. I really enjoy wearing this on rainy spring days. Garnished me a compliment the first day I wore it. Unfortunately, so far, my husband isn't impressed. Great work scent (since I am sans husband there, LOL).

Okay, yesterday was the first day I wore it and a vendor said, "Someone smells good out here" to his fellow vendor. As I was the only one down here I assumed he meant me. This morning I am wearing it again, my boss walked by and said, "Something smells good down here." Okay, I like this perfume 😍

barbiekool

I LOVE THIS PERFUME! it's so gorgeous smelling. when you first spray it its *very* floral. but then when you let it sit on your skin it has this GORGEOUS honey smell! this is my favourite perfume. i can't stop talking about it.

Giulia23

Cheap soap smell. It smells super plasticky and screechy.

It literally makes me gag.

Worst celebrity perfume I've ever smelled. Horrible.

grcdozstf

Very much a clean, white floral. Soapy scents aren't really my thing, but if they're yours, I'd recommend it as a long-lasting but cheap option.

worldgeorge310

The packaging says it all. Nothing's changed since its release.

Novalee_Marie

Glow is, and probably always will be, my favorite celeb scent ever. It's also one of the top five perfumes I own overall (and I own about 80+ full size bottles of perfume).

It's my ideal "fresh out of the shower" scent. I feel clean, beautiful and sexy every time I wear it.

My main bedtime scent. It's like I'm being wrapped in my most comfortable blanket, freshly laundered. 🥰

wintersong0

Glo was my very first perfume. When I was a teen, I was so excited to graduate from body sprays! I remember my friend’s big sister came to visit for a weekend and drove me and my friends to Wal Mart, my friend gushed about how good her sister was at picking out perfumes for people. All I knew back then is I didn’t want a cotton candy, or vanilla. I remember admiring the bottle and wearing this for quite a few years!

Encici

The bottle and naming concept is a little bit off in my opinion (especially with that cheap cap..they could have just add something more creative). But the scent is amazing, it is beautiful on my skin. All the notes appeal to me so much. I feel so calm, reserved and grown up when wearing it. It gives me so much comfort, enjoyment. I think it is a perfect everyday scent for people who doesn't want to bother anyone with there smell (like me), but still wants to have a nice scent. It has great projection and lasting power, soapy scent done in the right way. I tried it last night to wear it to bed and I woke up to the scent in the middle of the night, it was so powerful. I enjoyed it, but had to put my hands under the blanket to be able to sleep back 😄. I see people commenting it as oldish, others as teenage scent, so I guess everyone perceives it completely differently, and that is totally ok. And I don't even know anymore what vintage really means. For me it is a timeless beauty, I feel beautiful when wearing it. Although it is not sexy within the traditional terms of sexiness, I can see some people who would find it attractive. It's a clean smelling motherly hug for me.

cl195238

The opening is a pretty intense screechfest for a good 20 minutes on me, but it dries down to a nice clean floral, lotiony-soapy scent. It's funny that when I was a teenager in the early aughts I thought of this as a sexy going-out perfume, but to me now it truly just gives me the innocent vibe of someone freshly scrubbed by a white bar of soap.

I would consider Glow an iconic "doesn't smell like perfume" perfume. For many people smelling of soap is not the goal, but I really get the appeal- sometimes you just want to smell obviously but effortlessly clean.

There definitely are nicer soapy frags out there (the eau de Glow flanker!), but the sillage and longevity of this one is the best out of all that I've personally tried.

SailorBrite

I absolutely love this scent but it apparently doesn’t like my body chemistry because it doesn’t smell good once I spray it on myself.

LoveSmellsss

This is definitely reformulated . It's too screechy now

luanneog

Recently bought it as it peaked my curiosity again. I used to wear it back in the day but it was too mature for me back then. Immediately after I smelled nostalgic to me. I'd describe it as floral, soapy and musky. It has a very clean, powdery and a creamy lotion-like scent. Great for out of the shower. I like to apply the Nivea original body lotion before spraying this.

delicateneonkisses

Not sure if I like this.. It smells very doctors office-y.. The dry down is nice but the initial spray is a doctors office

Mynotaur

Surprisingly mature and elegant scent. I remember wearing it when finishing high school, followed by the peppery Armani Mania (before the reformulation) when I started uni. Probably too mature for me back then but it’s bringing back some nostalgia now. Sits beautifully on my skin with a sensual, close range. It’s classy as heck. I feel like this should be Helen Mirren’s release instead of JLO, and the juice just doesn’t agree with the bottle IMO so expectations might not match the reality. I can see how some might not enjoy the soapiness but for me, it’s stunning.

MissKC

Smells like bug spray to me.

mimi81

This perfume has so much high praise, sos I was super excited to try it - and it's cheap! Sadly, all I can smell is baby powder and/or dryer sheets. It's just not for me. Maybe it's a fragrance meant to be layered, but the powdery smell is just a bit too overwhelming (for me).

VanessaD19

This fragrance was one of my faves back in high school. Along with Victorias Secret Heavenly and Very Sexy and a little bit of CK One. I havent smelt this in years and i wonder if it would still hit the same.

perfumejunkie90s

You either love it or you hate it type fragrance, I dont care!!!! Iove it, Smells like a fresh tube of Nivea Or Ponds Face Cream but in a good way, Powdery, a bit soapy and clean, I get a bit of the rose not but on the dry down it smells very soapy, a tad bit of sweetness, lasting power is about 5 hours, very mature fragrance

Aquapinkmoon

Soapy rose, smells like rose soap, is it dated? A little, is it still super nice? Definitely. That’s all I can say regarding notes really, smells like a nice expensive rose soap, made with real rose not artificial. Smells like the ultimate coquette perfume, something a French or English princess would have worn, really pretty. Definitely not what I was expecting honestly but I really like it

polkadot27

This is my gym scent. It is citrus dominant on a bed of rose and sandalwood, with some slight musk and some very mild jasmine as the base. I don't detect amber or vanilla which I am grateful for as those notes are not good for a workout perfume.

Whilst sharp and tangy on first spritz, it quickly settles into a soapy clean fresh skin scent and it's a perfect workout scent as is it not overpowering, in your face and offensive. It is soapy but in a very clean, laundry fresh kind of way. Which is exactly what I want for the gym.

anneymn

It smells like a bar of soap, very clean. I have no complaints, if you want to smell like a bar of soap, this is a good choice. I like it. It’s inexpensive and lasts fairly long.

EvaNicoleFragrance

Dating myself here, but this was one of my signature scents in high school. Paired, of course, with a baby tee and jLo flared jeans LOL. I can't get with this scent profile nowadays as I no longer like the jasmine note I once loved, but this was everything to me in the 2000s.

audreyofarc

Boring. Yawning. Sloppy. Lazy.

Actually, it's fine. It's a very clean, fresh soap. Dove bar soap, to be exact. It's not bad—there's just something rather synthetic about it that gives me a massive headache. It has been a while though, so I might try it again soon.

Backstory/mini-rant: I got this perfume because I had this paper white narcissus plant in my bedroom that absolutely FLOODED the air with its smell. Inescapable. It was kind of strong and weird, but I also really, really liked it. There was something very intoxicating about it. I Googled it, turns out no one agrees with me. Whatever. Regardless, I was so captivated by the smell, I wanted to try out a heady white floral scent. Well, this probably was not the best choice. There are white florals, but absolutely nothing intoxicating or deep about it. Though to be fair to Glow, it doesn't advertise itself as one. I think I decided this would be a safer white floral, because to be honest, I'm a little scared to wear something with an indolic edge. Yes, I just wrote a review in which I urged people to self-actualize beyond caring about how they and their perfumes are perceived, but I also don't want people to think I smell like cat piss. Alas, I too am a victim of living in a society.

Lovescents3

Perfect hot weather fragrance. Smells classy and clean. Not sharp. Feminine and powdery. White florals with a tiny fruity touch.
Lasts 2 to 3 hours.

Bangabanga

Somehow smelling this for the first time in 2024. Not a single wrong note. Lovely and wearable. Not cloying, at all.

This perfume lasts FOREVER without degradation. A bug or a feature, depending on your point of view. 48 hours later it smelled the same on my wrist. I washed, of course, but did not scrub. I can only imagine the tenacity this would show on clothing.

babybels777

Glow by Jennifer Lopez is my favorite celebrity perfume. It is clean, warm, sexy, and elegant.

When I first spray this, I get this soapy, fresh, and citrusy scent with a hint of sweet florals. The dry down is musky and warm. If you took a long shower using luxurious rose soap, you and your bathroom would smell like Glow.

I was surprised that this is an eau de toilette because it lasts really long on my skin.

What really sets Glow apart from the usual celeb scents is the clean and inoffensive scent. It's not your typical discount store find. It's more like a classy gem that stands out in the crowd full of artificial gourmand scents.

Mc1995

Smells quite niche today. For a celebrity fragrance release, the last 20 years we’ve come to know them as sexy, sweet, candy, sugar concoctions, this is completely different. Soapy and musky, not juvenile at all. Could honestly see this in the Frederic Malle line, it’s got that weirdness. Not super commercial at all.

alicelazzarotto

All time favourite perfume! I am 29yo and use this one since I was 13yo going back and forth. Love it too much!

PerfuMEOW

Loathe JLo, but I like this.

taylormarie

Lovely, fresh, soapy goodness. I reach for this primarily on work days when I just want to smell clean and well-groomed. It's simple and not offensive yet still beautiful. One of my coworkers actually yelled out "It's Taylor, who always smells like fresh soap!" when I wore this lol. I highly recommend it if you are in the market for an affordable freshie.

Dee97

When I first sprayed this I gagged. All I could smell was cloying powder. Decided to try it again and liked it and now I love it. The opening is still quite powdery but the dry down is beautiful! Literally just smells like you’ve just had a nice bubble bath - perfect for when you just want to smell clean and fresh but don’t want to do too much or necessarily smell like perfume. I can see why this has been a favourite for so many years. I don’t remember smelling this back in the day (I’m 26) but it definitely has that early 2000s vibe. This will be in my collection for as long as they keep making it.

BrujaBabydoll

This clean perfume has become my gym signature scent. I rather smell like soap & sweat than armpit mixed with an obnoxiously sweet body spray, that’s just me. Just like the ad it’s fresh, sexy & clean. I don’t know why some people would dislike this beautiful fragrance. A soft soapy musk. How could someone not want to smell like fresh white flowers with a hint of citrus? It’s not heavy it’s airy & powdery it’s an everyday SKIN scent.

Kate_Jeason

I should stop trusting reviews in here, because it's nothing like fresh or clean, nor Dove or Nivea. I wish it could smell like Dove! But I'm just picking a sharp old-fashioned rose note here (like the one in Bulgarian rose essential oil or something) which is not bad in particular, just not what I was searching for.

Clean fragrances searchers alert: this one is heavily floral!

laila26

I should have seen this coming based on the notes, but this smells very old-school to me. I did not have the experience of wearing this in my teens, so I have to admit I don't have that nostalgia factor...I don't like it on me, but I think it's just not my style. I wouldn't consider this a safe blind buy.

eaudebora

Not your typical perfume
it doesn't smell "perfumey" at all, it smells straight up like soap. like a soft floral soap.
not everyone is into that vibe, but the girls that get it get it.

It smells soft, feminine, clean.

one thing to note about this perfume is NOT to overspray.
you will get the best out of this perfume if u do a single spray on each of your pulse points and that's it- a single layer.

otherwise, the perfume doesn't really transform well on your skin, if you spray lightly, it will dry down to the MOST magical scent.

Update-- all of a sudden the scent changed on me and become irritating and i had to declutter my bottle bc the scent made me develop a headache and nausea :(((( my old bottle didnt do this tho,.... get a small size and use it fast to prevent this happening to you.

Nusrat Tonny

Nivea and ponds Cold cream in a bottle

ojosverdes

Nivea cream! Period!

Toady89

I remember getting this for Christmas in 2004, when I was 15 years old. I remember it vividly because it was the first White Christmas I ever experienced. The creamy lotion-like ethereal floral scent mingled with the snowy air will forever be a memory I cherish. Ironically when I got the fragrance I was entering my Goth phase (which I haven't grown out of in all honesty) and I always associated this scent with the Cradle of Filth - Dusk and Her Embrace, which was an album I also received that Christmas.
Even though it's a JLo scent, it will always be this gothic ethereal beauty to me. 🖤

Coriemulvey

This fragrance is as old as this website and after 20 years.. it’s a really great time to judge a fragrance. This is the queen of soaps. Like soapy clean? This is it. Not Grace, not the Clean line.. this one is it. It’s really stood the test of time. My 3 year old bottle has not changed… not been reformed. I can spray this after a shower and not feel guilty because I overpaid.. It’s strong and my bottle was only 24 bucks. Spend 200 bucks on a newer fragrance and it’s not nearly as strong, or as nice. The perfume industry has turned into a racket.. bunch of price fixing assholes and the young ladies are falling for it. The biggest fragrances in the last couple years cost well over 300 dollars. Buck the trend.. be different and try this.

nisarsarah9

Such a clean and fresh scent. Great to wear in summers. I like the white floral touch and lasting of it. And the best part is it is so affordable.

Alexchanel22

I wear this this after I shower at night, I wear this to bed as my bedtime perfume, it smells like laundry and Lillies, I really like it, It smells clean!

washudtoj

My impression is it's not as bad as it's going to sound, but here's what I got:

Glow smells like a bouquet of white florals, especially jasmine and tuberose, that is just about to wither, but is nevertheless preserved by formaldehyde.

It sounds like a harsh critique, but that was my first impression on it. However, believe me when I say it's not as terrible as I made it sound.

If you like white florals at an economical price, this could be an option. I must warn you, though, that blind buying it is not safe. A test on skin is absolutely necessary.

I'm not overly impressed by this one, but I'm glad I tried it.

herheartflutters111

sexy musky second skin scent, very late 90s!! it gives ysl paris or petit et mamans vibe

correspondencepersonal

I have been meaning to try this and just now found a bottle of this at Marshalls this week. I would have absolutely LOVED this perfume in Junior High, High School, and in my early 20's (before I began being influenced by the much heavier and more concentrated perfumes of the 1980's).

This is the perfect girly perfume, light - floral - and a bit musky.

----------

The floral notes in this are like an English garden - in the spring/summer. Very classic, pretty.

This is soft, sweet, innocent, and almost has an angelic type quality to it.

If you like this perfume - I would recommend also trying Jennifer Lopez's perfume called "Love and Light". Glow is more of the English Garden variety - and Love and Light leans more angelic and etherial. Both are lovely!

julie3858

Well, this perfume holds sentimental value for me. I received it for my seventeenth birthday back in the 2000s. Initially, I wasn't sure if I liked it back then; however, I ended up wearing it a lot, finishing the bottle, and moving on. Last year, I made the decision to repurchase it, and I adore it now! There's something uniquely appealing about it – unlike anything I've come across in designer brands.

The fragrance is a delightful combination of sweetness, soapy freshness, and it reacts beautifully with my skin, showcasing different facets depending on the weather. I find myself constantly drawn to it.

In terms of longevity, it's reasonable considering the price: approximately 4 hours on my skin, and even longer when applied to clothing.

sweetharmony

I didn’t like this scent the first time I bought it; several years ago. I then bought again about 2 years ago. The bottle has been sitting sealed in it’s box. Today, I decided to open it and give it another try. Guess what?! This time around the scent is much softer and enjoyable. Rose is much more prominent on my skin this time. The last time the scent was much soapier. I’m really loving it!

Avarie

Nivea creme with a white musk bite. If they made the generic "fresh white towels" scent into a fleshed-out perfume. Extra white florals stave off a Dove bar comparison for me; but rather, those large imported, triple-milled bar soaps you might find at a boutique or conversely, the discount retailer for Christmas. Nothing sweet or vanillary, not too rosy in my opinion. Honestly more "classic" smelling than I expected. Glow is quite likable, affordable, and easily dresses up or down.
Glad to check this off a list of childhood curiosities.

Sherlock Ness Monster

When I first sprayed this on after purchasing it a few months ago, I couldn't really figure out what I was smelling nor how I really felt about it. It instantly reminded me of Pond's cold cream, or some other facial cream or soap and I couldn't figure out when I would wear this. I didn't really like it, but I didn't dislike it, either. It was in some weird limbo category for me. Into the drawer it went, until this morning. It is now a warm summer morning, and I pulled this out on a whim and sprayed one little spray on my arm. I don't know if it's the weather, or my mood, but I am really liking this "clean white soap" vibe quite a bit! I can see how it would quickly become too much if I over sprayed it, but one little spray seems perfect for me. I can see wearing this to work, it really has that clean, soapy feeling that doesn't scream "I'm wearing perfume!" It has moved from a "meh" to a "like" for me.

HippyDippy57

Having had a couple of JLo's perfumes before - One and Love At First Glow - I thought I would try Glow, as my sister used to wear it all the time and it smelt great. Glad I tried before buying, as it immediately smelt of soap and didn't change. After four hours I washed it off.

cm66

Only the bottle leans on fem side,..Scent itself, as unisex as it gets!

Jezebelle

For me this is a combination of Nivea cream + dove soap + fabric softener + laundry detergent. If you want something that smells like you are not wearing perfume, but you just took a shower, applied moisturizer and got dressed with freshly dried clothes, this is EXACTLY that.
It smells more expensive than it is. I would see it worn with a white shirt in the summer.

Scentsywhatsky

Great summer fragrance. Smells like sunscreen on skin at the beach.

Cristidarling6387

This scent has me for a loop. I enjoy the smell. Soapy , floral with some juicy citrus in the background. I thought this would be pleasant for an after shower bedtime fragrance. However , as I was laying there it became cloying and my stomach started to hurt. I’m currently pmsing so that may be the reason. I’ll give this a try in another week seeing as I liked the smell.

Atomikbomb_

I finally found this for a decent price and wanted to give it a whirl!

It's so soapy and fantastic, I'm honestly impressed. I don't think it smells expensive, but it's everything it's cracked up to be by fans and it's good quality. It doesn't smell cheap, or as if corners have been cut in creating it.

It's not very vanillic...only the slightest bit. It's not ambery or heavy, it's simply a clear and concise white floral and clean musk with grapefruit to me, and so I'm only voting those notes up.

It's truly uplifitng and pretty, and I'm excited to wear this more in the summer heat!

katiejon

I have never loved this fragrance. It has always smelled like static (is that what people mean when they describe a scent as “screechy”? Anyway...), I couldn’t make heads or tails of what I was smelling.

-Until -

We were outside on a cool, breezy spring day, with a really hot sun - and having a campfire. My clothing had that wood-smoke smell. I decided to spray Glow all over myself, and I am telling you that something came alive with this fragrance. The statickyness was gone and I smelled the warm, light floral aroma mixed with wood-smoke. It was absolutely stunning.

So this is now my spring fireside and summer campfire fragrance!

Update 10/28/23:
I spent the better part of the day sitting by campfire in the chilly autumn weather... I wore Glow just for the occasion - and I am leaning into my recommendation to wear this around a campfire. This scent, mixed with woodsmoke, is stunning!

marissarose

I agree with everyone saying this is a white dove bar. I would say the first spray is sharp but it mellows out into that clean soapy smell with the neroli being prominent. It's like laying down in clean sheets. I find it good for casual wear. I wear this on my days off after a shower and I am lounging around the house all day. Overall I think it is a solid celebrity fragrance.

bel.gravia

This is exactly a white bar of soap. And I love it.

tmt69

A white bar of soap sitting on a stainless steel sink. Completely inoffensive, fresh and clean, but not necessarily a scent that I would enjoy wearing.

LulaValentine

I had this years and years ago and didn’t really appreciate it. It was very musky on me I think. Again, it’s been so long that it’s hard to remember it exactly.

I’d like to revisit this scent eventually because I love most of the notes listed.

Fatima1219

I picked this up recently for a very reasonable price. I am a fan of the house of JLo for casual wear. Her fragrances are affordable, good quality, and perfect for daily reaches. Glow is no exception! I never, really purchased Glow for myself, nor did I really wear it. I have tried it once or twice years previous--but never desired to own a bottle. My Mother would wear Glow during the warmer months. It was an easy reach, and it smelled great spritzed on her. Today, I'm wearing Glow at work, then later to run errands. At first sprays, it is kind of an unimpressive turn off. Cloying at first. After an hour or so, this baby comes alive! As it dries down, the white flowers take center stage. Especially, the neroli, jasmine, and tuberose. The citrus begins to mingle with the flowers with time--creating a clean, crisp, feminine fragrance. Imagine a lady of class, dressed in an all white flowing sundress, beige sun hat, and beige strappy sandals--picking beautiful white flowers. As the breeze gently picks up--all you smell is JLo's Miami Glow. Isn't that great?! Lol The musk is subtly sexy as the sandalwood begins to come alive. Glow is perfect for outdoor activities, such as picnics, or most daytime activities. It lasts for hours and hours when sprayed on both the skin and clothing. Also, it encompasses you in one of the greatest scent bubbles ever. This was a very nice addition to my collection. I recommend purchasing Glow, if you enjoy soapy, white florals. I do not think this is a safe blind buy though--after all, it is a soapy, white floral, lol. Not everyone's jam! Plus, you must have patience until it dries down.

Breehodge

Surprisingly reminds me a bit of Anais Anais. I don’t find that it lasts quite as long though!

Spicadk

This has been my favorite for many years, i almost used two bottles up. I think my taste has changed. I found it too sharp now. I would rather use it as an airfreshener

ingrid.superstar

This fragrance sits at the juncture where sunblock and bathing meet, softly churning out pearly, soapy, iridescent bubbles. Its timorous sillage is appropriate for its vibe, but I want so much more “oomph” from it precisely because I am greedy for more of its loveliness. A ridiculously soapy orange blossom counterintuitively trumpets softer, soapy, rosy powder to come — virginal, virtual-reality sunscreen. Crisp, clean, and almost so soapy you can taste it. Makes me talk in circles. If you like Pure Poison, you will probably like this.

Hands down, the best celebrity fragrance blind-buy I’ve made, and I’ve had a lot of luck in that department lately.

Janeyre

I love this scent. It is delicate and airy, musky and sweet.
It has a noticeable neroli note to my nose. Other than that, everything else is so well blended, I can't really pick apart the notes- the amber, vanilla, rose, it all just converges into a gentle and beautiful soap-like scent.
I love to layer this with a rose soliflare such as The Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose, or a beautiful, juicy, jammy option by Be Layered called Eden Rose. Chef's kiss!

OrangeMagnolia

Maybe I love this perfume because it reminds me of Florida thunderstorms, cold summer showers and baby powder. This is a good one. Soap, it's soap. Dial, Dove, Suave I don't know but for certain it's one of them. It smells clean, fresh out of the shower and I love it. Definitely a hot day scent. If you don't like smelling like a basic bar of soap this might not be up the one for you.

Jlo's Glow has had a consistent place in my collection ever since a friend started wearing it in highschool around 2005. Usually, I am not a fan of neroli or tuberose. I also very much dislike celebrity fragrances. I don't usually reach for soapy scents either. Yet somehow Glow brings all of these notes together to produce a juice that is slightly warm, musky, feminine, addicting and fresh and I am absolutely hooked. Glow is ever so slightly sweet, has a feeling of Love's Baby Soft but not so cloying and aggressive. In my mind this is JPG's Classique for women's younger sister and if you own both you might understand what I mean; Glow has the same syrupy skin scent as Classique but without the complexity.
This is one of those scents you can throw on before bed, after a shower or bath, or when you just want to feel fresh and cozy. Glow is a very non-offensive and all around safe purchase in my opinion. It lingers on clothing like a beast and I can usually smell it on my fabrics for up to 4 days.
I vividly remember seeing the print ads for this fragrance and it embodies the scent perfectly well.

elizabethsantana1989

This smells like a vintage rose soap. That's it. I first smelled it inside a Macy's at my local mall that is closed since then. Brings back fond memories. I would not say blind buy it, as I find that this perfume has aged. I'm not sure if it's the tuberose or the rose, but it gives the fragrance what some would consider a grandma smell. So there's that. However, there is something about this perfume that I can't stress enough: it's so CALMING. If you want to feel more relaxed if you're stressed out or if you like to feel relaxed at night before bed, spray this on your pillowcase, trust me. Even if it's not a scent you'd wear out in public, you'll want this just for that. For me, I will keep it for that reason. Again, it's not for everyone, but with the price now days I think trying a full bottle won't break the bank. If there's a more modern fragrance out out there with a similar effect I'd love to know.

A shower can be a sacred ritual in softness, a space to turn off your mind and wash away the day's stressors, watching them swirl down the drain, perhaps alongside a tear or two, encapsulated in sparkling suds. While we might feel vulnerable, we are gently held by the cloth of a curtain or the translucent shower glass, which allows only the faint glow of the outside world into our vision. The heat of the water reminds us that we are alive, and as we scrub away at ourselves, we connect to our bodies; even if we do not express kindness to them outside of this time, we are forced to confront them here and give them the care they deserve. It can be unnerving, certainly, but it is necessary. When we leave this realm, we are greeted by the plush comfort of a fresh towel, silky pajamas, and fresh sheets, and, for now, at least, all is well.

This perfume is the olfactory recreation of that experience and is an absolute joy to wear. Of course, there are those who would tell you that there is little point in buying a perfume that smells like you just stepped out of the shower, and I understand their qualms, but I cannot resist this gem. It is an essential comfort in my collection, and I prefer it to MMM Bubble Bath. Bubble Bath is for you if you are more interested in the...loose interpretation of soap to me, as in, you want it to smell like perfume still, but this is soap, pure Dove soap.

OneidaWelty

First spray gives you this kind of alcohol smell but then it becomes a clean, uncomplicated scent after. Used to really like this when I was younger, but I've moved past it. If you are looking for a feminine perfume that's, as I said not complicated, this is something to look at. <3

smelly_cat_94

I actually ended up really loving this scent, although I’m usually more into sweeter scents. This smells clean and sexy, like you just took a shower. It’s very feminine and long lasting on clothes and on my skin, as well. 😉👌 It’s a floral perfume, but the florals don’t bother me and I usually dislike floral perfumes. But this one is made right, it smells more like soap than actual flowers. And I’m someone who loves the way my hands smell when I wash it with Dove soap, for example. To me, it smells really good. 👍🥰💕 And I love Jennifer Lopez, as well. 😊

Skinscents4Fusspots

I can totally see the comparison with Nivea, but to me it’s more Nivea soft than Nivea creme as it doesn’t have the baby powder vibe. On my skin it’s a blast of hairspray, followed by a funky and animalic musk, then it drys down into a clean, floral soap with a slight Nivea soft vibe. I just can’t wear this one but at the same time I can see why it’s a clean staple for some people! The florals are just a touch too sharp for me personally.

JazzClub5

It just smells like soap, nothing stands out for me... just soap

raw umber

Anyone who compared this to White Shoulders (a fragrance from 1945) was spot on. This has a very similar bitter green lily/white floral accord. The musky clean soap dry down comes eventually but I don't consider Glow to be a musk so much as a white/green floral with a mature and somewhat conservative personality.

Not modern smelling at all in its current formula and I don't get any of the comparisons to China Rain or similar, and it lacks the balance, richness, and fresh rosiness of something like Nivea cream. Between this and White Shoulders for a retro green/white bouquet, I'd go with the latter, since WS imo has more nuance, with Glow being the thinner and flatter of the two, though I no longer own either to do a side by side comparison. If you are after an affordable soapy clean fresh musk, you can definitely do better than this.

Shaina87

This was one of my middle school signature scents. It smells like powdery and clean, soapy white florals with citrus. I haven't smelled it in a very long time. I might be ordering this one and Miami Glow once the weather warms up. They're really nostalgic for me.

Beffuhnee

This smells just like Nivea cream. Makes me feel clean and sleepy. It gives me feelings of nostalgia. Not my favorite scent, but it has a place in my collection. Smells even better when worn with something fruity as it helps soften that soapy floral thing it has going on.

Mandie2786

I love this clean scent sooo much. It smells just like it did in the early 2000s, the dry down on my skin is so light and lovely. I picked it up the other day just to have back into my collection. I cant wait to wear it this summer.

cherrycerise

Just smells like a bar of Dove soap. Nothing special. When it comes to clean scents I like there to be something else to it - whether floral, fruity, etc. I don't see the point of buying something that makes you smell like you've just come out of the shower without there being anything else to it. It is a nice soapy smell though, just not worth buying for me (even with the cheap price).

ca$hm3re

I bought this as it was cheap on Amazon and I fancied a treat in the run up to Christmas. I am not opposed to soapy scents and already have and enjoy Miami glow, so figured this would be a more simple, true soap.

All I smell in this is musk musk musk musk musk. True musk. White musk. Literally nothing else. Not a single other note.

Although it’s not an unpleasant scent, it is so unimpressive that even for the cheap price of £13 I am still disappointed I wasted a penny on it. Even posh soap isn’t as musky as this.

If you read all the previous positive reviews and we’re considering buying this I seriously would not bother unless you want to smell of straight up musk, or even use it as something to make other fragrances more musky. For me, I am going to try and find someone to give this to who may like it more than I do, a big disappointment.

I’ll stick to Miami glow.

LanaDelSlay

Insanely soapy, kind of a dupe to Margiela Bubble Bath

XOXO_marcel

Oh, this is very pretty. Light and creamy, it reminds me of sunscreen but it's sweeter. Definitely a skin scent. I see that everyone's voted for summer, but this one can be worn year-round to give off vacation vibes. I'm wearing this right now on a cold November day and it's done wonders for my mood.

Woolly Israelita

The initial sprays are nuclear, you wanna give this a few minutes to calm down. Also I wouldn't spray more than 3-4 sprays of this headache inducing liquid. It's very citrusy in the opening and super musky/ soapy on the dry down.
I use it to layer. Will i buy again? No

Edit* Oct 18,2023
I Love this fragrance now! I had to let it macerate for months before using it again and grow up from the thoughts of the women who used it before me. I smell the grapefruit for a few seconds at the top after spraying, but then there's rose, musk, a lil vanilla, and incense that made me fall in love. I layer this w BBW Rose. I will buy another bottle!

ShiraJemJem

One of the best celeb cheapie in my opinion. Very clean and soapy. I feel so fresh like after shower when I'm wearing this. It also giving me good vibes and positive energy. ;)
It has unbelievable great performance on my skin and I think this is a kind of scent that guys can wear as well.

DJoy27

I wouldn’t say this is amazing BUT it is very good. It lasts a long time and smells very clean/musky. I really enjoy it when I wear it! This definitely belongs on the “cheapie and goodie” lists out there (:

KarinJMB

My favourite for a number of years. To me it has a note of lily of the valley (which isn’t included). Fresh, feminine, soft, floral, not too sweet.

taunie515

Nostalgic and soapy. This is one that I like to put on right after you get out of the shower when you want to smell fresh and clean. It lasts pretty long as well. If you spray on the body, the sillage will last a few hours and then it becomes a skin scent. There is projection if you spray on your clothes for about 4-5 hours. Definitely a clean girl scent.

forbes_mq

Super white floral soapy scent that to me has a retro vibe. It’s very very floral. My mother wears white shoulders and it’s a bit like that.

PerfumeSally

White musk and an old bar of soap. Sharp. I’d wear it on a rainy day though I prefer the less popular Still

candyxoxo589

Big no. I just feel like this fragrance smells of alcohol and chemicals. The bottle is so cute though, but it's not worth the blind buy.

noneya88

Literally smells like a powdery mosquito repellant. Why!?

Bknight1

I use this when I workout as a fresh scent. like but not a love and probably won't repurchase-lasts a long time for an edt (and some perfumes).

Cornwallis

Smells like a clean old lady, if that's what you're into then you might like it. I regret blind buying this.

Moukka

White floral with powder and roses. Two sprays and it's noticeable still after 8 hours.Usually I hate soapy scents, but somehow this is very nice one. Jasmine is very dominant in this, but not sharp kind way.

puremugetto

There is something very strange for me about this fragrance.
It opens definetely like ammonia, so strong i have to run out of its mist.
middle notes are ok but the dry down is amazing.
So curious...

sweetlikecandie

Pretty and clean. Dry down kinda smells like a bug spray but not horrible. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for something a little heavier than a skin scent but lighter than a normal perfume

LeaLush

The only thing you need to know about this is 2 words. Dove soap. If Dove soap was formulated into a fragrance this is what it would smell like. This is my out of the shower fragrance when I want to smell clean, cozy and ready for bed. It's beautiful. One of JLo best fragrances.

Jakobk

This is not what it used to be. This is like body spray it’s very light. If you’re used to heavier scents this is like water. It smells good when you spray it it’s not a bad smell. It still has like the same lotion scent which is my type of fragrance I really like but it’s faint like a body spray. It’s fun for like out of the shower or if you work somewhere you can’t wear scents.
The scent is really good i just wish it was a lot heavier.

Sparkleball22

How incredibly late to the Glow party I am! At least it’s still around. I tried this 5 or so years ago and it hit me wrong during a headache, but I gave it another chance and now my nose has grown into it! You must love flowers, and specifically jasmine!! For a floral musk, it has a warm fuzzy thing that just gets me.
Neroli, fuzzy, soapy musk and a blend of jasmine and rose really stand out. Citrusy clean floral that is definitely bath-soapy. I really am a sucker for this. I’ve been wearing just two sprays under my shirt for work and after a few hours I literally feel like a delightfully clean, fresh, glow bomb. That musk warms up and it lives up to its name.
I have yet to find a situation this doesn’t fit. Just don’t overspray. You might kill all the wildlife in the room!
Another thing. I have so many fragrances that have disappointing longevity but this…she’s a beast, honey! Performs, and keeps getting better. One of my favorites right now.
P.s. such a mood fragrance for me- a like at times, and a love on other days?!?

sonialamar

Synthetically sweet, cloying c0ppert0ne sunblock with nuclear staying power. I cannot get away from myself with this fragrance on...

Alces Alces

September 2005. My family lived in Deep East Texas not that far from the Louisiana border on land in the Piney Woods. I wore Glow pretty often back then, mostly in the lotion form. It's always been a comfort scent to me, a soapy musky fresh scent with wonderful grapefruit. Grapefruit works on me, but on some people it causes the dreaded cat pee note. Glow is the smell I wore through the twenty four straight hours of WIND and breaking trees that I endured in a frame house in the woods of east Texas almost directly on the path of Hurricane Rita. On September 24 at 10:00 in the morning, the eye wall passed right over us. And I remember the smell of all the sassafras trees that were shredded everywhere, and the smell of pines, and the smell of Glow. Only recently have I even tried to wear it again. Seventeen years. I love the Dove soap smell (especially since I no longer buy Dove products) and the lingering freshness of this. I guess you can get past trauma and enjoy smells that you associate with scary times once in a while.

Cassandra_Lyris

So I picked up a small bottle of this over the weekend. I had heard pretty good things. Unfortunately on my skin this scent does not "glow", it "sours". It's the grapefruit. Usually sandalwood and musk even out a sour citrus, but oh no, not on me. And the florals next to the grapefruit accord comes across soapy, despite no aldehydes listed in the notes.
I don't hate it though. It's a helpful layer fragrance, similar to Charlie, in that it helps tone down other sweeter fragrances. So, I'll try her out in some mixes and see how we get along in the long run. Fortunately Glow doesn't cost a fortune and I at least give them props for not putting out another candy bar scent in 2002.
Mini edit, tried her out with a couple of floral aldehydes (Chanel no5 and Sweet Honesty) and they toned down the "sour" on me well. I'll keep her around for layering in the future.

takema

I have often heard this referred to as a clean, fresh and soapy fragrance. To me this smells like something rancid. There is an unpleasant scent of sour milk that turns my stomach. It smells like this on my skin, on paper and from the cap. Sandalwood might be the culprit for me, all the other notes are ones i generally like. Sandalwood can often be harsh, unpleasant and sour to my nose. I think the musk used here also gets a little skanky on my skin.

I had a feeling this was going to be a fail for me, so I didn't buy it for the longest time. One day my curiosity got the better of me and I bought it, thankfully for a decent price. What a mistake! I am rarely proven wrong when I don't think I am going to like a fragrance. I need to learn to trust that instinct more often

I think this has at least pretty decent performance. I wore it once and it still had a light to moderate projection after three hours, but I showered to get rid of the smell because it was so unpleasant. I wore it just on my hand another day and it lasted there for about 6 hours with light projection from one spray.

The bottle is cute, the frosted glass is pretty. The charm is not too cheap looking. The cap though...super cheap. It looks like someone lost the actual cap and just happened on something that would fit. At least it fits well.

dojimanoryu

okay! so i was gifted this in the 100ml bottle by my sister.
here is my honest review:

it smells fresh, clean, very soapy, kind of musky. smells like an out of the shower, bedsheets, smell. at first you smell the white florals, jasmine and soapy parts, then it fades into a mild vanilla, lotion, musky, skin scent. it smells so clean and i love it. and its so versatile too, it smells like a winter night car ride in a convertible, but also a warm summer day in a green flowery field. its just so beautiful. its probably my favourite perfume. it was meh at first but i started to love it more and more. its just so me. the only problem i have with it is i cant get it to last longer than 1-2 hours on me =( no matter what i do it just wont last and fades too quick. other than that its a great fragrance and i totally recommend!!

DaydreamExpert

Even though soapy scents are my favorite category and Glow is featured in a lot of youtuber’s top soapy fragrances videos, I resisted this perfume for years because it was a celebrity scent. I recently realized though that if this was rebottled as a Jo Malone called Soft Florals & Soap I would pay top dollar for it.

If the necklace on the bottle isn’t your vibe it’s easily removable. The frosted glass bottle & peach juice is pretty actually. I agree with everyone who says this is Dove soap in a convenient spray. But there is a warmth to it, a skin musk in the drydown. There is very much a kindness about it, it smells like a kind person. Clean, fresh (warm fresh, not citrusy sharp fresh), soapy, and a little lotion-y.

PaperInABook

Its a fresh, out of the shower type of scent and suitable for hot summer day. Reasonably priced but poor longevity (only last 1-2hrs on my skin). As its inexpensive, no harm doing a multiple spray throughout the day. Unfortunately it does not comes with travel size bottle. Due to the scent sharp notes, it keeps me awake (less sleepy after a heavy lunch) and focus throughout the whole day.

coffeefifofum

Ivory soap and Nivea hand lotion scent with faint florals. Easy to wear.

mewfangs

clean and soapy scent but it was very sharp to my nose. great price, but not for me

SummerRose

I've only recently tried JLo Glow for the first time and it was LOVE at first sniff!

It's a clean, soapy, musky, feminine scent. It reminds me of Maison Margiela Replica Bubble Bath but it's a fraction of the cost. I wouldn't say this is a dupe but there are similarities and it has the same soapy, bubble bath, out of the shower, clean smell. Usually, I am not into that kind of scent profile but I just absoutely love it. I immediately bought the 150ml as it was on offer.

It remains a bit closer to you but you will smell it as you move around all day. I was so keen to buy MMR Bubble Bath as I had used up my sample but I am so pleased that I tried Glow and it works so well on my skin .

It performs well, it smells good, it's feminine and very affordable. Win win! Who says you've got to spend loads in order to smell good??

bellereve

I didn't think I would like this scent as much as I do, but I absolutely can't get enough of it. A first I thought it was just okay, but the more I've worn it, the more it grew on me. This scent smells clean, like fresh out of the shower clean. It really reminds me of Dove soap or even Nivea moisturizer. While it is light, the scent clings to the skin in a very comforting way. I like to wear it immediately after showering and moisturizing and it just extends that clean scent. It's clean without it being screechy or sharp. Glow has a creamy quality to it and it just makes you feel cozy. This is an all-around scent: daytime, nighttime, every season. I really love its simplicity and versatility.

VMonster

No fragrance has surprised me more than Glow. I never thought of myself as a lover of soapy or musky scents; for years I would basically only touch sweet gourmands. But I love Glow. It's clean, but not in a sharp astringent way; it's soft, padded, cloud-like and gentle. The notes are so well-balanced that nothing seems to dominate or overtake the fragrance. It is, as it was intended to be, "fresh-sexy-clean." I can't believe I tried this fragrance over 20 years after its initial release, but I have found it a reliable staple in my routine for bedtime or errands, or just an everyday easy reach scent.

Volatile

A slightly sharp yet very clean soapy white florals and jasmine for the first half an hour then it dries down into a mild lotion-like skin scent. To my nose it’s more floral and musky than citrusy. I enjoy this right after showers but I avoid digging my nose into my skin because of the afore mentioned sharpness. Lasts well for an EDT.

Eveningrose

I really like this fragrance. I am not so sure about the performance. I’d need to test it a few more times . On skin, it is a fresh soapy scent ( mostly citrus and rosy) like most describes . I don’t think this can offend anyone. I can see myself wearing this after a shower ! I am gonna layer this with idole by Lancôme . I see it as a hit!

Delphi001

I always saw J Low Glow around in the different stores and I just turned my nose up at it, without ever smelling it, just because it was a celebreality fragrance, well then one day in 2022 I actually got to smell a tester and I was like "This is perfect" for a hot summer day! I must have it! It smells like a spa treatment at the beach and I like living that fantasy!!! Lol P.S I got nothing but compliments at work and from other working people, I guess we could all use a spa day at the beach!

ASanders

I didn't like this scent at all. I bought it on a whim without smelling it first because it's dirt cheap and people rave about this scent so I had high expectations. Soon as I put this on I was reminded of a cat litter box and the pungent smell of cat urine mixed with household cleaner. I couldn't scrub this off fast enough. Mind you I sprayed this in the kitchen when I got home from the store. It wreaked so I ran in the bathroom and jumped in the shower and my husband came home from work while I was in the shower. The kitchen was the first place he went. He comes in the bathroom while I'm in the shower saying the kitchen smelled like baby powder and litter box and he inquired about the stench. My husband didn't believe me about the perfume so he went back in the kitchen and smelled the nozzle on the bottle and busted out hysterically laughing. When I got out of the shower I looked up the notes and here I am telling you about my horrible experience. Tuberose is a note that if not done right will smell like cat urine. I smell it in Chanel perfumes and the original juicy couture perfume. But I have tons of tuberose perfumes I love like my way by Armani and velvet vanilla by mancera but glow is a tuberose gone rancid that my husband yeeted in the outside trash can as I was frantically scrubbing my skin in the shower. This is a familiar scent I've smelled it a million times on people passing by and I always assumed they have a cat that uses the dirty clothes basket as a litter box because of the distinct cat urine smell now I know they are just rocking j lol glow which just isn't for me

Brebre1213

I love this is smells like dove soap. It's great for summers going to the pool beach etc. It's very very clean.

CandyButterfly

I didn't start collecting fragrances until recently. But I've owned more than one bottle of JLo Glow over the years, and I own a bottle now. Yes, this is a musky, soapy, floral, clean scent, and I love it. To me this was an affordable innovative fragrance when it first came out, and now it's an affordable classic. Occasionally for fun I will layer JLo Glow with linear fragrances to amplify the powdery or lily-of-the-valley notes. I feel appealing and sophisticated when I wear this. 🦋🧡🦋

AutumnJewel

Note For Myself: I tried so hard to love this fragrance as I truly enjoy the notes in other perfumes typically but for me, this scent it too musk heavy where it feels almost suffocating rather than fresh and soapy clean. Not a bad fragrance by any means but if you aren’t into powder or floral notes I’d test it or just grab a bottle and give it a try … just not for me. Although I must say there is a subtle sexiness to it.

master ora

This perfume is unique. Its very clean, fresh and soapy. Like a bar of soap instead of a shower gel or bubble bath.
It is also powdery and has a musky drydown.
I wear it when i want to feel extra clean, or on my pyjamas.

glitterfalls84

Can I do this? I've never tried the perfume but I recently bought the body spray in order to try it out. I paid attention to reviews on this perfume and saw how split things were on people liking it/hating it and thought trying an $8 body spray would be a nice way of dipping my toe into the Jennifer Lopez line. I'm glad I'm only out 8 bucks. The thing is I don't mind a soapy/clean smell. Sometimes it's nice to just have a refresher instead of smelling like flowers or a candy store. It's all in what your mood decides for the day. IF this had smelled like Dove soap, I think it would've smelled better. It's just got a screechy smell to the point where I'll probably just use it for an air freshener or something along those lines.

Soapyscent

I wanted a really good, creamy, luxury soap kind of scent so I blind bought this one, but this is not it. It smells like hairspray and it does not smell fresh. It's not bad, it's just not my vibe.

kristenkr

Both my mum and my gram used to wear Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist EDT religiously when I was little, and there's something so comforting in the opening of this that harkens back to that fellow classic (I'd guess the dually citrusy/powdery jasmine). Glow is mysterious, tender, sexy, soft, and clean—oh so clean. It's a beautiful woman at midnight, dancing in the streets of a foreign country with her husband; the pair slowly making their way back to a luxe hotel suite, hand in hand, sharing kisses under street lights; tumbling into bed with the twinkle of love and desire in their eyes. It's a knockout: one whose omnipresence in the early aughts is all too easy to understand, the moment it hits you.

tshiamo.mthethwa

I blind bought. I really do not like this. It's nauseating. Someone said it smells like soapy warm end of the day skin. It does. It has stuffy smell i just can't get over over. I detect no citrus whatsoever. I love clean and soapy, but this is horrendous.

Jennas5

I wish I hadn’t brought this one , I couldn’t smell anything because it’s just full of alcohol and it burns my skin . Wouldn’t buy again

JamieSmells

Clean, floral, and soapy vibes. I will definitely reach for it in the summertime as when I wear it on a warm or spring day, it gives you a clean and fresh feeling. Its not strong although some claim it to be, I think it sits more as a skin scent but in the heat I think it will pretrude much more. For the price its actually a very pretty fragrance and it would make a perfect and safe gift, I think another JlO creation that is just as pretty is Still and has similiar clean floral vibes.

s4vvie

kind of just smells like fresh linen with a little bit of a floral note. really good for putting on when you get out of the shower. not my favorite smell in the world but it's cute

Majestic_Toad

Glow was extremely popular in my neck of the woods, when it first came out. . All I could ever smell was the overpowering, headache inducing jasmine. If you like jasmine, I'd say this is a pretty safe blind buy, as the price point is more than reasonable.

meliecat

I loved it when it first came out, even though I was always giving a miss to celebrity fragrances. Tried it a few times in shops, but never bought it in the end, there was always something else I wanted more and I just never bothered, not even when it was on sale. So in the end only recently I got myself a partial bottle, just so I can indulge myself in this soapy, musky number.
The one big difference I find is you should never spray it on shen you freshly showered. It will smell dry and miserable. Either moisturize first or wait a few hours - on me it smells way nicer this way. Orris and orange flower along with neroli and musk are the strongest notes on me - it's powdery, musky, a lot like some kind of a luxury soap or lotion. All the better!
The bottle is pretty, but not of the best design if you want to spray comfortably..

Dmiddy

I loved this squeaky clean scent when it first came out, and I still love it almost two decades later. This reminds me of a brand new plastic toy, soap, and citrus soda. It sparkles with nostalgia and still feels relevant.

Nonosebarred

Outdated, unpleasant citrus. The freshness is there, but unfortunately, so is everything else.

May fouad

i get it as a blind chosse and its a perfect chose long lasting
it a clear perfume , noticeable
it remind me of summer

Myru

I first heard about this perfume upon researching what my favourite Korean artist wears. (Taeyeon wears this!)

I didn’t buy it solely due to that but it put the scent on my radar.
I love fresh soapy powdery scents and this is exactly that!

My brother said it smells like baby wipes and I agree! I love this scent it’s fresh and powdery but it’s got a sophisticated feel to it! It does smell a bit like dove soap but it’s got something more then that that adds an addictive class to it! I can’t stop smelling it!

This is my perfect fragrance!! I am a sucker for laundry powdery scents and this is the perfect one!! The longevity and silliage is pretty great too!!

Trishaaa

I don't think this one is "bad" per se, but this reminded me exactly of Johnsons baby powder or even just a bar of soap. Take it as a good or bad thing but yeah. Definitely not wearing this one for myself when I go out. It's completely tolerable and fresh but I just can't do with the constant reminder of smelling those things in particular. Definitely test it out before buying it.

yoyotaha-

not what i expected, i really wanted it to smell like dove soap after reading reviews but absolutely not, it smells like jasmine soaked in water for days with house cleanser scent...... disappointment to say the least no longevity no projection :(

I've been wearing this fragrance for a while. I first smelt in on my hairdresser and couldn't stop taking in huge sniffs of this delicious, clean, heavenly aroma, reminiscent of freshly washed linen. It's incredibly good value to buy, meaning after a shower, you can smother it all over your skin, and then add a few drops of Molecule 01 which just seems to seal the deal. When I wear these two delicious fragrances together, I feel like I am clean and fresh and everyone knows it. It seems to trail all over my clothes and hair, and throughout the whole day I get regular reminders for a short second here and there. Delightful. In every way.

I first came across JLo’s Glow nearly a decade ago in my sister’s closet. It was a gift from her best friend (who, ahem, is now my husband) and all I remember thinking was “I don’t like this” as I smelled it on the bottle. I never tried spraying it.

Ten years later, looking for a perfume that smells like Dove and being recommended this, I wondered if I should give this another try. Still wasn’t willing to blind buy, so I waited until I found a store that had this. On paper, this smells amazing. So elegant and fresh and yes, I do get straight out of shower lingering soap in your skin. Not necessarily Dove but a very feminine soap. I sat with the paper strip for quite some time, trying to make up my mind. I finally gave in.

I’ve been wearing this for a day now, and first thing - this one lasts. Yes, sillage is not really great, but six hours later, I can still smell it on me. On skin, the first few minutes can be quite harsh. It smells almost hair-oil-ish to me if that makes sense (we Indians love oiling our hair with scented oils pre shampoo) Very different on skin than paper. But as it dries down, nearly two hours later, it becomes part of you somehow. Not a separate entity. Not a perfume. It’s just how your skin might smell straight after a shower. I do like it so much better now. This definitely brings the colour white to my mind. Clean linen, white towels - that sort of thing. This would be great for days when I don’t want to smell of flowers or lemons or vanilla.

KatanaBluebird

My first perfume. I remember going out and spending my boxing day cash on it and proudly displaying it on my dresser. A clean, powdery, soapy, non-offensive scent that it basically just a blink on the olfactory radar to anyone you encounter that day. It's youthful, yet I can see anyone at any age wearing it, and it was incredibly affordable. A safe play if you like to smell clean and don't want to be remembered (which is sometimes a good thing, trust!). The tall frosted bottle is easily recognizable but still classy. At the time, the glass bottle felt like a quality item, not like the Calgon stocking stuffers my mom loving gave me (which I still loved, but come on, mom, this was a PERFUME!)

It's been years, but do I want to relive it? No, I'll pass. The past is the past, but I am thankful for crossing paths with this one and starting me down a journey that that is crossing over into its second decade.

FrkFors

A true classic. Pink grapefruit, neroli, vanilla and sandalwood... Powdery, soapy, floral, warm and sweet. I think it's really sexy!

Vabeachtiff

I hyped myself up for this one after reading and viewing countless reviews. Back when this first came out, I just wasn't aware of it. So now in my 40s I've ordered it and wore it several times.
I love clean fresh fragrances and soft skin scents.
This one is...just...different.
Could be the new formulation, idk. Yes, I get white bar scent, which I can appreciate. I typically prefer to wait for the dry down before leaving the home as it gets better but something is a miss here. I kind of feel like this is giving me a stronger louder amped up version of Avon's Sweet Honesty.

Update: I do like this. I had to just appreciate what it's giving. Now I understand!

puvana_5

Usually I will read the reviews in fragrantica before purchasing a perfume. Lots of good reviews about it. This is an online purchase from acharr.com in malaysia. My bad, that i did not test it before purchasing it. A bad blind buy. Maybe, it is my body chemistry, all i can smell is musky and powdery scent and light hint of jasmine. I do not like it. This is my 2nd purchase of JLo perfume after Miami Glow. Will not repurchase it.

Anything4talishas

A classic clean fragrance. I begged my grandma and mom for this in 7th grade and got it for Christmas. I often got it as a gift after that and it was a staple for a long time and if you need something affordable from the drugstore and you want a clean, slightly floral/musky/vanilla scent then go for this. I might add it back into my collection this year. It layers great with body Fantasies white musk, or gourmand body sprays from VS or BBw. It lasts a long time on skin and clothes and it just smells so fresh and clean. A wonderful work or office perfume. Classy, chic, sophisticated.

scarb99

I wore this every day my freshman year of high school. One word, clean. Very clean scent, I thought I smelled refined at that age. And in truth I probably did moreso wearing the original rather than the new reformulated version of today. Scent was very on trend for the y2k Era. Although Glow remains firmly in the past I look back on her fondly and will occasionally sniff my old empty bottle. PS you can tell original bottles by the Jlo "necklace" OGs have a lowercase j and the dot. Newer versions have uppercase J and no dot. Completely avoid the bottles with no necklace, they smell so trash.

Italian_ro

The bottle of this I got in the mid-2005 was very good, I remember it smelling soapy and clean. I saw a bottle at Burlington so for nostalgia sake I got a bottle on New Year's Eve 2021. It smelled like an awful, cheap, rose potpourri so whatever the reformulation is now flat out sucks. It was so bad, I returned it.

tacomighty6

One of the first perfumes I had growing up in the early 2000s. Big fan of JLO, and I loved the cute bottle as a young girl. While the scent is nostalgic, it is plain and soapy. Not something I’d currently wear or recommend as an adult woman. As an eau du toilette, it doesn’t have much longevity or depth on the skin. I’d recommend spraying it on clothes for a longer lasting scent or best use. Has a clean, baby powder smell.

Kathryn J.

Whew. So far, I’m two for two. I got a reduced holiday set with Glow, Enduring Glow and Still. I never tried her fragrances so I was looking forward. Enduring Glow is simply hideous and headache-inducing on me. I can say nothing positive. Today, I tried Glow. The fecal note is overpowering. Dove soap? Really? All I get is an unpleasant, one note, animalic, which I’d like to wash off with Dove soap. Tomorrow it’s Still. I’m not feeling hopeful:-(

icingsugar

I coveted this bottle so much as a teen but never bought it until now. The bottle remains very unique and stunning - definitely a trend setter for celebrity perfumes to come. The scent itself is a soft, floral soap. I don't think it smells like Dove particularly, but perhaps more of a generic brand. I do like it as a fresh out of the shower scent or even something to buy someone who does not typically wear perfumes, as it is quite inoffensive. The silage and lasting power aren't great for me, but it is cheap enough now to buy.

Buttercake

If the 90s Jessica MC Clintok took a shower with the 90s China Rain & Dove soap then went off to the beach! ...Got this as a gift & was expecting to not like it but nooo I love it! The bottle is awkward to spray.

BunnyDelishous

JLO GLOW is a clean, soapy, fresh out of the shower clean skin scent, as if Dove Soap was a strong perfume.

This is a 2000s diva scent where a gorgeous woman who who wears tight jeans with heels, oversized sunglasses and an arm full of gold bracelets.

The initial spray is very sharp musky white florals, after time the citrus and the jasmine lay on the skin mixed in with the florals. This fragrance has amazing longevity of 6 - 8 hours.

Syeda Sadia

I personally know quite a few number of people who love this but damn it smells so bad on me.im bombarded with rose, musk and sandalwood. After the drydown its worse. It smells like literal rotten roses and rice on my body.

Púca

Whew, this smells like the classic Dove soap bar on me and/or a total white musk bomb. It's really nice and clean. I wear it before bed and after I take a shower. However, I feel like it is too boring personally for me to wear it during the day.

I'd like to try Jennifer Lopez's Miami Glow for the hopes it has more going on with it as it has some cool tropical notes and a different nose composed it.

EDIT: Apparently men really like fresh and clean scents who knew? My boyfriend wouldn't literally leave me alone and kept smelling me while wearing this telling me how good I smelt. Thought I'd add this for inquiring minds who want to know. ;)

nickinicole

On me, it's a soft floral, but *very* soapy...and not in the nice, fresh way that would have been nice. I liked it as a teen, but wouldn't wear something this powdery in my 30s.

burymeinprada

I got this because of how many people were saying how clean and soapy it smells.
However to me this has the typical old lady smell which is probably because of the
strong white flower accord. I cannot stand it on my skin.
And I dont really get the soapy aspect, maybe I should've left it on my skin for longer
but I just couldn't handle the initial smell I was hit with.

Penny_Dreadful

It's so interesting how different bodies wear scents. This smells like an old floral soap on me. I'm not sure what happened to all the citrus notes that are supposed to "top" this scent, but all I'm getting is Ivory soap and grandpa's shaving cream. It dries down to a powdery jasmine and tuberose; I would offer that it's missing a richness to the bottom notes. There is no musk, sandalwood, or amber on me.

FatimahC

This was my first perfume. I don't mean like a body splash. This was my first eau de toillete. I still adore it even though I am more of an oriental type of person now that I developed my tastes.

Definitely a floral woody musk on me. Was perfect for day or night when I had it, but now I might be more drawn to it as a day scent, Definitely a hot weather scent.

maya_papaya

Smells almost exactly like sunscreen, to me. Not exactly in a bad way, but I would probably avoid wearing this anytime but summer. It's okay; I like the bottle better than I like the fragrance. Not to say I disklike the fragrance, but to me it's nothing special. You could replicate it by slathering on some Coppertone.

anneshrimatti

I went to a fragrance store a few days ago and tried this out, so glad I didn't blindbuy this. It smells like acetone from initial spray. Then white florals, but still maintained a hint of acetone. To me it does not smell like perfume, maybe I need to smell it one more time but all I know is I don't and won't ever like it.

Mangaetteok

The reformulation has not done it any favours, + the longevity has suffered. This is a copy of 'China Rain' - which is ofc, an oil - & the oil keeps the notes 'rounded' & quite beautiful - it's better quality & is a lovely, fresh, clean, kind-of soapy, but not laundry detergent - as you find in Glow; Glow is v detergent-y, in the opening, espc, now - you don't need me to describe the notes; so many ppl hv done so already, but, in it's fullest, Glow is now mainly, sweet grapefruit/a quite synthetic & rough orange blossom, with a more prominent rose - surprisingly powdery - gives me original Anais Anais vibes actually - & ofc, both J Lo & Jennifer Aniston were fans of that, too - when I was tiny, Anais Anais was popular, but later, I tried it & couldn't wear it - ditto this. Tbh - now - it's pretty awful, throughout, & even in the original early 2000's bottle - it was plastic-ky - but after the mess of the opening, it did used to settle down - & if it suited your chemistry it could be quite pleasant but.. it's not good now at all.

China Rain though, as made by a new company now - who bought the rights - & is a good as ever - many ppl wore CR for a decade, or more - & are pleased to find it again - it's reliable, & ppl love it - the lasting power is quite good too, all day - much better than the current Glow. (Myself am not fond of an oil - rather than perfume spray - but with this, it's a necessary thing, it's rounded & beautiful, in the oil, in a way the spray, never was.)

The reform of Glow, has even more 'cyanoacrylate' ie, superglue in it - which totally ruins it for me - once you smell that you can't get past that, I think - & even previous fans may be hard pushed to keep wearing it.

Basically, it has been widely reported, that J Lopez used to wear China Rain (original version, not the vanilla type,) in 'the nineties' - for years - it was her absolute favourite - as it was my aunt's favourite - & many ppl swore by China Rain, my aunt told me - bc it's fresh & beautiful, clean, a little soapy, but something where ppl will say you smell good, rather than particularly commenting on your perfume. It's one of those, which ppl not really interested in perfumes wore as signature, a wear & forget type thing - they probably buy a bottle once a year, & love it but never think of it - they like to smell fresh, clean, & 'put together' - but not particularly overly 'perfume-y' - you're wearing perfume, it's not an overly 'barely there' type - but it's one of those - another is Chloe edp (that 90's version, which was slightly updated, much later,) they both hv that vibe, clean, slightly soapy, with some rose - CR has more of the green notes, & for me, is more wearable; & I noticed when I was a child, my Aunt always smelled lovely - it was only when I was older I realised what she wore, bc she never mentioned it - & didn't need to keep it in her bag to touch up, during the day - it was present, all day & never overpowering.

JL had that oil copied note for note - knowing ppl loved it, that other ladies would say, 'Oh you smell great, what is that you're wearing' - & knowing loads of ppl just don't like wearing oils - & she re-marketed it as Glow. (At some point China Rain made a perfume spray, but ppl said the scent wasn't the same,) - & ditto the early Glow - it was nothing near as beautiful as the original oil - the 'rounding out' of the notes in the oil is really good. In the early Glow, the first opening minutes were v messy, & a bit screechy, then it was just a plastic copy - but once you smell the original CR, on yourself, not many go back to Glow.

The company who had the licensing for China Rain eventually went out of business - nice job, there, JL - seems a bit off, but. Anyway, now - there is a newer company who hv bought the rights - & they are again manufacturing China Rain perfume oil, in the US - & you can buy it on Etsy; it waa available to ship to the UK, but the lady who sells it on Etsy assured me recently you could now order it to be sent to the UK, so I shall be purchasing a small bottle; it's long lasting bc it's an oil, & you can get a quite large amount for under £29, I think, & am planning on ordering some - as are many of my friends - it's so wearable, & is a lovely one.

Personally, I really like China Rain (oil,) it's quite delicate, the green notes are beautiful, it has v pretty, not too floral notes, too - & it has that rounded quality, that Glow doesn't hv - plus - re the reformulation of Glow - it's much more of a sweet grapefruit & rose now, - & far more powdery than it was; I never wore the early Glow, bc the opening notes were a mess, & I just couldn't bear it, until it 'got better,' - it wasn't 5 mins, it was over half an hour - & it bothered me for all of that time, so it was no, back them - & even then it was - a plastic-ky copy - but now the reform is even worse, the cyanoacrylate in it is so prominent. As said, my aunt always had loved China Rain - & wasn't thrilled about the 'copy' or when it came to light the company mkg it had gone - & my Aunt would never wear a copy of a dupe of anything.

I think, if you did like Glow - in it's early form - the CR oil is a must try - your almost certain to love it more - & there's almost nobody who doesn't like or even love, the clean, fresh, but slightly sweet (as in a slightly floral sweet, not candy sweet,) delicately present scent - it's a classic - a 'modern' classic - although technically, I think it was a 70's perfum, originally - it really was a huge 90's hit - my aunt always said, in the early 2000's after Glow had been quite huge, that CR (oil,) was the best, of the popular, early 90's scents - & literally, you cannot go wrong with it - the original version - the vanilla version is adding something that doesn't suit it - those delicate green notes are beautiful, & it the way it mingles with your skin, espc in warm weather, you just don't need a vanilla note - it's perfect as is. (& in the 90's - there just weren't silly amounts of new perfumes issued - no endless flankers, just a few - ppl often wore 'classic' designer perfumes, then, when I was a little girl - the fact that CR was so huge - at that time is significant - it stood out, amongst the Chanel's & YSL's - which wasn't easy - ppl loved that 'brand' identity, so it had to be v good for anybody to choose that over those.

This though - Glow - you can definitely go wrong with - those 'superglue' fumes are so noticeable; you wonder what they were thinking. On some ppl maybe they aren't as strong - but I think success with Glow was always determinedly affected by skin chemistry, whereas China Rain oil, is usually great on everybody. & bc of the lasting power, & it's fairly inexpensive nature, CR oil is no more expensive in the long run. This - J Lo's Glow, the copy, is definitely not for me, (I don't say dupe, bc it was a direct copy) - the original is, by far, the best, by far.

CrazyCrab

I did a blind buy because I wanted to smell like dove soap during me day to day ventures. It doesn't smell like dove soap though!! Maybe dove smells different elsewhere in the world, but it doesn't smell like this in the UK. Or maybe it's just olfactory differences of opinion. Glow does smell like A white soap, a rose and jasmine old fashioned white soap pebble. It also smells reminiscent of a jasmine scented furniture polish I like... my husband thought I'd been on some sort of frenzied cleaning tour when he smelled it. I appreciate this is all sounding quite negative. However. I'm finding the smell to be strangely addicting and I have been wearing it a lot. It doesn't last more than 3-4 hours which suits me fine for the way I'm using it.

AnnaBelleKylie

This was a blind buy as everyone was raving about the soapy quality of the fragrance, and I was not disappointed. I am very hard to please with soapy/powdery fragrances. Yes, it's soapy, but it's more than that: it's creamy. I'm not a floral fragrance person at all, but this is beautifully subtle and luxurious. I always stay away from celebrity fragrances (apart from SJP Lovely) as most are that horrendous sweet and fruity fragrance that just smacks you in the face, leaving you with a nauseating migraine; but this is different. I ordered a sample of this just to be sure, as I didn't want to commit to a large bottle (regardless of the cheap price). I sprayed my wrist with it, closed my eyes whilst it settled and took a good sniff. It was unexpectedly beautiful! Think freshly bathed, expensive lotion, pure white roses with creamy lather and a dusting of powder.
This really is special so I ordered a 100ml bottle!

BUT.... The longevity of this is shocking! It lasted all of an hour, which is why I'll get a smaller bottle for my handbag, so I can spray myself all the time. It'll be worth it though because it's HEAVENLY!

MoonFlare

My goodness. Was this jewel reformulated? I looked at the reviews below mine to see if anyone else spotted it, but maybe I got a bad bottle?? There used to be a lusty, powdery, soapy musk that isn't there anymore! Now it's smells of pure house cleaner. Please let me know.

Enchanted77

This was my signature scent for a year or so in my early 20’s so I obviously loved it. I bought another bottle recently and I still like it but it’s no longer a love for me. I feel the fresh, beachy, white florals & violets were perfect for me at that age. It also now seems more synthetic than I remember. However, it doesn’t seem to suit me now that I’m in my 40’s. I think it’s well-suited for a young lady in their teens or 20’s( or someone new to fragrances). It’s now very reasonably priced although it was more expensive in its newer days. It has great longevity and silliage.

Rushscent

I like this scent. It is fresh and clean. Infact it is suitable for everyday wear but i must say it is very long lasting for an edt. Do not over spray a little goes a long way

jordansmith333

very powdery, but not necessarily in a bad way. hints of rose and other floral notes. very strong at first, but it isn't uncomfortably loud. wouldn't wear this everyday, but i still like it. kind of smells like a grandma.

aest

I can't get over the lemony, soapy smells in this fragrance, this was a blind buy for me but I don't think I will ever wear this. Disappointed.

ambergeese

This is a soapy white floral that smells a lot like the Dove hand soap that comes in a bar. Seeing as this is marketed as clean, soapy, and powdery, this is intentional, and it is, indeed, precisely what you get. It's hard to say which floral dominates here; I'd say the overall vibe leans towards tuberose with a neroli edge, but all of the florals are pretty well-blended into a smell that is simply a vaguely white floral hand soap. I do think it's funny that neroli and orange blossom are listed as separate notes here. Not a ton of discernable grapefruit, except to lend a bit of clean, crisp sparkle to the florals. If you like soapy scents and white florals — or maybe you just love the scent of Dove soap — you'll like this.

Tekiya08

Just picked this up because it was so cheap and people are always raving about it. When I was 13-14 I remember hating the smell of this stuff and questioned who’d ever wear it. Fast forward to today. I still don’t love it, it’s way too soapy and musky to me and the citrus smells like salty sweat on my skin until the flowers come back out. I love jasmine but not in this perfume and the more I smell my arm the sicker I’m becoming 😢. Thought this would be like Marc Jacobs Daisy and grow on me but so far it’s a no.

elegantshnozzie

I walked past this so many times at discounters and always passed it up. The mention of grapefruit scared me (is vile on my skin) and the consistent buzz words of "synthetic" "head ache" in reviews made me steer clear. I ignored the same comments with Versace Red Jeans and ended up so frustrated with my purchase! But reviewers always liken Glow to laundry... and I like laundry fresh scents in the summer.

Should have ignored the hater comments. This is the first blind buy since I don't even know when that was an IMMEDIATE love. Reminds me of a Woodwick candle I had in college called Linen. For some reason this also puts me in mind of the Geranium candle from Mrs.Meyers. And- the grapefruit is not detectable at all.

This fragrance is fresh yet cozy yet classic while refraining from the ambrox laden gen z "your skin but better' mumbo jumbo.

<3 Without hesitation- a love

DaianeNov86

If water had a scent it’d smell exactly like this perfume. I literally cannot smell this in my skin! Like at all!

caiterin

Very pleasantly surprised. I've been seeking out soapier fragrances lately and in my eyes I thought this would be the ultimate inexpensive soapy scent. It definitely is clean and exactly want I wanted but it's way more versatile and easy to wear than I thought it would be. A youtuber I watch loves this and says it smells exactly like dove soap. A few people here say it smells like expensive soap. I actually think it smells more like dove deodorant (the 'original' scent). Super nice for intimacy or for bedtime or if you're feeling sick. The soapiness it has is not nauseating at all. I've smelt other white florals that were so soapy it almost makes me sneeze when I spray it. This fulfils all my bubble bath dreams. Very happy

Dulcette91

For me it’s a must have. Fresh out the shower, soapy, baby powder lotion scent. I’m continously impressed by how long lasting it is. I don’t get compliments on this one because I think people don’t realize I’m wearing a perfume, but it’s one of my absolute favorite pick me up fragrances. Love wearing it to bed and for lounging. If you want a more perfume-y version of this + coconut, go for Versace Crystal Noir.

KajiraSuzanne

Glow seems to be a "love it or hate it" scent, although for me it's more of an enthusiastic "like" due to the synthetic initial note, which thankfully vanishes after a few minutes. It smells like an expensive suntan lotion, not one of the overly sweet ones, with soapy/powdery/musky notes and a slightly floral freshness. (My partner actually thought I was wearing a new sunblock when he first smelled it). This is really nice in warmer weather after a bath or shower. It lasts quite long, even though the projection weakens after a while to a skin scent.

Lavender999

Very soapy and fresh scent, downside is that smells like a hairspray. Lasted moderately on me. A second skin type of scent.

April338

Straight aquanet. This is a big NOPE.

caitlynrhea95

Eh. Bought 4 blind buys today and loved the other 3. This one meh. Soapy. Powdery. Clean. It will have its use. I remember owning this as an early teen. I think I bought it from a garage sale after it sitting outside all day in the sun. Ahhh what I know now lol. It gets better with dry down but like nothing more than a "meh" it will go farther back on my shelf. I dont smell much other than baby powder and soap, unfortunately. Was hoping for a tid bit more floral. Aw well. Still not bad. It will make its use sparingly.

obssessedsniffer

I'm a guy who wears this fragrance. It's definitely in my top three love the soapy clean smell.

riaxcx

smells like sun screen

karinevandal

Used to wear Glow when I was 13-14, its actually the first perfume I've ever bought with my well earned money. It was the new celebrity fragrance era. At that time, I was enjoying it.
So recently, I thought I would try it again, see if it was like in my memories...

Don't know where to start.. 🥺

Well, its not AT ALL the same as I remembered. And I know they've been restructuring the composition of pretty much every fragrance (for every kind of reason).

So JLo's Glow perfume is (2021) very very powdery & soapy. Like straight up Dove bar soap. Unfortunately, I don't get any occasion to wear this, except when I get out of the shower and go to bed. Its a (way to) clean perfume for me, with low/moderate sillage & moderate longevity. I don't even get the floral part. I will not repurchase when its done, sorry JLo.

I've heard the Miami one is a bit better (?!), so we'll see then 😉

StinkyTinky

So oddly enough I tested this for years in kohl’s and despite my best attempts, it never grew on me.
Until I caught a YouTube reviewer (fragaholic I believe- don’t quote me) hold this in high regard and I felt as though I was being unfair. Despite my hesitations, I bought a bottle.
I wrongfully disliked this based on top notes (which to me smell like hairspray). The sharper edges disarm themselves once this sits on your skin. It still is a soapy white floral- mostly jasmine, but much easier to digest.
I’ve worn this to work over the summer as well as to the gym, grocery store, and this is hands down one of MY MOST COMPLIMENTED PERFUMES...
EVER! That’s bananas! It’s Jlo! Lol
I guess it’s great from a cost standpoint, but slightly disappointing being that I’ve got some real head turners in my collection (or so I thought)

nida_t

Smells just like soap. Literally! Not my cup of tea.

fanntonyoscar

Headache in a bottle. No thank you. 🤯🤯🤯

So I bought this in a gift set with shower gel and lotion. It was on sale for about $15. It was sorta, kind of a blind buy. I actually smelled Glow years ago, kind of liked it. Thought it reminded me of White Shoulders which was my grandmother’s scent. I love White Shoulders but can’t wear it because it was her scent. So I passed on Glow years ago because it was too similar in my mind at the time.
Well I recently was in the mood for a gardenia scent. I was eyeing up Kai, but I think it’s too pricey for what I wanted which was just a beachy, gardenia heavy scent. I just wanted cheap but decent. I came here to check the reviews for Glow and found some alarming reviews, but also some good ones that seemed to confirm what I remembered this to smell like. So I ordered this set because, come on...$15!
Well. You get what you pay for . This absolutely does not smell how I remember. I should have taken heed of those who said this smelled of super glue, and is synthetic from top to bottom. It is not good. It really is cheap, cheap, cheap in every sense of the word.

I have to just eat the $15 unfortunately because I live in NJ which is I think one of the few states in the US right now that still has a ban on returning health and beauty products (amongst other things), due to Covid. It’s quite unfair and ridiculous already... but I digress.

I have not moved this to hate though and left it in dislike because strangely the shower gel and lotion aren’t too bad. They don’t really even smell like Glow, but they also don’t smell synthetic really and are pleasant enough. So there’s that.

Take heed people. Head to Sarah Jessica Parker or even Jennifer Aniston for celeb scents done very well.
Sorry JLo. No bueno.
ETA: Nope, I was very, very wrong about the lotion and shower gel. Also very bad once applied generously as compared to just a bit on my hands like I did at first.

My main review is way down below some years ago. Im here to report somewhat of a dupe, a sister or cousin of this perfume. This scent (Glow) makes me nostalgic, as it was one of the first perfumes I acquired as a kid. I got the same vibe when I tried Fresh Cut Lilacs, and I only realized what it was when I woke up and smelled the very drydown of it on my arm. So Bath & Body Works released a new body mist named Fresh Cut Lilacs. It is a complex scent to me and its drydown is very much like the OPENING of Glow. So lets see. The last note listed on BBW website is "spring air", and that "note" in the drydown and the base of Fresh Cut Lilacs smells to me like orange blossom/orange flower, with rose and musk. And my nose didnt trick me when it reminded me of Glow because Glow contains these 3 notes So thats what the note "spring air" possibly entails: rose, musk, orange blossom? Taking a guess.

Orange blossom and the dry musk must give that sunny feel to me seeing that I get that vibe from Glow and some other perfumes with it. That "sunny note" orange flower/orange blossom is also in Marc Jacobs Honey and Golden Sunflower and I get the sunny/dusty feel from these as well. As Fresh Cut Lilacs dries down it brought me some of that orange flower/orange blossom in Honey and Golden Sunflower (by BBW), as if youre walking in a spring valley under the hot sun.

Then I get powdery/dusty rose and a musky base, possibly some amber. If you like Glow's vibe but want a more purple scent with lilac or violet, try Fresh Cut Lilacs. It starts off cooling and purple, smelling like lilacs, turns a bit green, very reminiscent of VW Lovestruck Floral Rush and then the drydown like I said is sunny like orange flower/orange blossom smell to me and powdery/dusty with some rose - again maybe what the "spring air" note entails. Fresh Cut Lilacs to me is better than Golden Sunflower, if you want that sunny feel and it is definitely a sister of Glow. The sprayer of both Fresh Cut Lilacs and Glow smell identical. Fresh Cut Lilacs' opening is like I said more purple, more fresh, not so much rose in your face, more refreshing.

I love this perfume so much but sadly others don’t really like it on me. They think it smells like straight up liquid ivory soap which I somehow love. It smells so clean and soapy , Great after a shower. It leans a little masculine in my opinion because it’s so musky but I love it so much. I just wish more people liked it on me

I'd almost forgotten I had once owned this scent from the early 2000s, but was reminded of it again when a friend passed on to me some old scents she was not going to wear anymore. I saw this one in the bunch and thought for sure it would be a stand out scent among the others -- the bottle was pure nostalgia and took me back nearly 20 years. Who was I 20 years ago that I once enjoyed this so much?? I would agree with what others have said -- there was a synthetic "tinge" from top to bottom that was such a turn off to me. I wanted to like this, because I enjoyed the era that I once wore it in and because I once enjoyed it so much. But no longer. I had to send this one packing.

🙂 i like Glow. it's fresh and warm. like sunkissed beach skin. flowers with a hint of musk. feminine. beautiful bottle.
proof that synthetics can actually be nice if done right.

Artificial in every sense of the word. I wanted so much for this to be like "Simply Belle," which has apparently been discontinued. SB was my go-to 1950s housewife cologne, perfect with retro cotton "daytime dresses" and an MCM kitchen. "Glow" is compared on here to SB, but I honestly don't know where anyone gets that. SB is peach, peony, and some sparkly aldehyde note that seemed to be present in the old "daytime cologne" fragrances from Dorothy Gray, pre-Pfizer Coty, and throwback Lanvin. "Glow" is straight up synthetic Lily of the Valley, and I'm amazed not to see that note listed, because that is almost all I can smell with this. It reminds me strongly of the OG Avon "Lily of the Valley" with a hint of synthesized citrus (that citronella blend in a lot of lower-end fragrances and cleaning products) in the drydown.

It's light, all right, but light in the way of the kiddie colognes that come with gift sets aimed at pre-teens. It also strongly reminds me of the Mattel Kiddle mini-dolls that came in brightly colored plastic bottles -- "Perfume Kiddles," I think. Each doll had its own fragrance, and I had one that was supposed to be Lily of the Valley. When I sprayed "Glow" on my wrists and gave it a chance to settle down, all I could smell was plastic impregnated with aldehydes. It was 1968 all over again, which was NOT a great year in the fragrance world. "Hai Karate Oriental Lime," I'm looking at YOU.

"Glow" is light, I'll give it that, but cheap, cheap, CHEAP-smelling. For the same price, you could probably get a reasonable quantity of Guerlain's "Champs D'Elysee" or Elizabeth Arden's "Fifth Avenue," both of which can be had for a song these days and both of which smell like actual white flowers.

This one goes in the charity box.

Thank you to the reviewers (Fierce Swan Scent & Anamandy) who identified Cyanoacrylate, a yucky smell that permeates this scent from top note to bottom, in spite of the pretty white florals. Nonetheless, it somehow reminds me of a scent from my past -- maybe the smell of a workshop at our local community center, the smell of theater sets being built in high school or college, or the smell of my high school when it was being remodeled (glues, resins, etc.) -- I just can't put my finger on it. Nonetheless, memories aside, I do not want to smell like this. I'm passing this one on to my daughter or friends to see if they might like it.

Very clean, soapy, simple and maybe a bit synthetic smelling, but i love it! I remember this from when a was a little girl so its also nostalgic for me. Just bought a bottle and it makes me so happy. It makes me feel very uplifted and clean.

This is my first time buying this. I never caught on to her perfumes in the early 2000s. I have Live Luxe and Still which I instantly loved, but this one, her most beloved and popular scent falls extremely flat for... I think I have a reformulated version because I'm not sure what everyone is smelling when they say it's floral and powdery or fresh and clean... It's not. It smells like plastic and glue with a hint of rose on me... I wanted to love it, but I just can't. It's going back to where I bought it from or I'll gifting it to someone else.... But this cannot be apart of my arsenal.

Anamandy

This would be pretty if it didn't have that underlying synthetic note that is there from beginning to end. It really kills this fragrance for me. Reading through the reviews someone mentioned it contains Cyanoacrylate which is used in the making of superglue. Yes, superglue fumes are what I smell. I also find it neither powdery or soapy, except that it is the type of scent used to fragrance shampoos, sans the chemical notes. Maybe this was reformulated recently and cheapened. Never having smelled this when it first came out I can't say. But as it is now, I wouldn't even use this as a room spray.

This is a soapy white floral. When I first smelled the fragrance, I couldn’t differentiate the notes and remember thinking it’s a horrible, strong, soap scent. I put it on the next day though because I wanted something soft after wearing sweet gourmands for a month, and I like it now. It’s not anything groundbreaking, but my boyfriend did say I smelled really good, and he thought it was my shampoo. He said I just smelled good, like shampoo or soap. It doesn’t project at all for me but 2 sprays sit really close to the skin and I can smell after 4 hours, it’s a nice inoffensive office appropriate fragrance.

Couldn't agree with " morningdewscarlet" review more, this perfume was a huge flop for me, i blindly bought it based of the reviews here about ( soapy fragrances, was looking for a soapy fragrance and lots of users here suggested this one.
It's too synthetic and harsh to my nose, it gave me headache and irritated my nose so bad, definitely against buying it blindly, smell it first then decide.

Fierce Swan Scent

Cyanoacrylate. There's a superglue fume in this that, once identified, I couldn't un-smell. But when Glow was first released I really enjoyed it. I was surprised that a celebrity scent would be so nice and I suspect it's the first celebrity one I bought. A shower-musk with well blended notes, a soapy skin-blossom that gives bang for modest buck. I liked the slender curvy glass-blown bottle with its tiny necklace. One of those scents that makes you think "what's IN this, exactly?" Until you realise that one of the elements is glue. Out of past fondness and loyalty, I'll still say try it.

Fresh out of the shower, floral, rose, summer, slightly beachy. Lovely. My sister wore this in early 2000 and it just brings me right back. Nothing cheap about this. Is good quality for the price and I see why it's still so popular.
