Almost 30 Bulgarian moms turned their back to shyness Saturday and joined a campaign to promote breastfeeding.

The women went out to the center of Sofia to feed their young treasures, and teach passers-by the benefits of breastfeeding, as part of an international move.

While the youngsters enjoyed the tasty milk in each other's company, the event went rather unnoticed by other people because of the heavy rain that pounded the city several times during the day, making most Sofia residents choose to stay home.

Meanwhile, more than 120 countries are marking together the World Breastfeeding Week.

The event takes place over August 1-7, and for several years already has been participated by Bulgarian mothers, too.
