Whoever said this fragrance is disgusting doesn’t know what a real fragrance is. This smells absolutely divine, it has this turkish delight in there mixed with some woodyness, it’s not heavy on the oud and performs like a beast!
mikajla
please don't go near me wearing this devil's juice. DISGUSTING!!!
luk3tait
I genuinely want to fuck myself after spraying a tester on myself.
caboramer
The Turkish rose and vanilla really stand out with a nice air of oud in the background, the dry down is nice as well, leaning more feminine than Unisex, but it's a great scent none the less. Love this on women, and occasionally wear it on my own at night. I thing everyone should get to smell this at least once. Anyone getting those strange smells mentioned by others should get their olfactory Senses checked by a Dr., Could be signs of medical issues.
The_Hellcat
Oh my gosh, this is revolting!
I love oud and I'm a big fan of roses. When I first sprayed this I thought it smelled of rose Turkish delight, which was nice. About 30 seconds later I got this sage note which isn't listed. Aide from that off-putting note, the rose dried down into the worst kind of rose, in my opinion. Suuuper powdery. Like Yardley English rose powder. As a matter of fact, it smells like a doll's head in the 90s, which I've said before (Mancera Choco Violet) and intended as a compliment. This time it isn't a compliment. Baby powder and roses, with some strange sage note lurking below the surface that reminds me of raw turkey being stuffed. I can't even get it off my skin and it's caused headache and nausea. It is with squinty headache eyes that I write this review because it is an urgent matter. I have to save someone else from testing this directly on their skin.
TLDR: No oud, just raw turkey and a doll's head.
BinkyBarnes
Oud is my favorite scent, and I don't smell any oud in this at all. I agree with the other reviews saying that it smells powdery. Even more so, it smells like baby wipes. If you like Chanel No. 5, you'll probably like this fragrance, both of which also give that sprite/cola impression as another reviewer stated. Not my cup of tea but can understand why others may like it, as it is a rather mature fragrance.
Edit: 5 hours later and a sweet sugary scent is what remains, with the baby wipes scent becoming more muted. It has faded considerably since I first rubbed the sample on my wrists.

Am I the only one who smells roses and stale coca cola here? It smells really nice if I don’t associate it with cola though
Benjayymin
Old sour grandma rose smell, not a fan.
BigChili.B
not gonna hold you when I smelt it on a tester strip I was so excited it smelled so good and I love oud. but I recently was gifted a sample and after wearing it for a few minutes, it smells like an old-lady-like musty rose, mixed with a strange deepness. The oud isn’t super strong like at all, so it’s good for people who want to get a little freaky with it but don’t initially like oud.
I saw a comment that said it reminded someone of wet paint and it’s actually shockingly similar. You don’t notice it at all but there’s a subtle hint of it and you can’t unsmell it ☠️☠️
lowkey getting a headache from it (i’ve also never been a fan of any of the MFK frags tbh) it’s got incredible projection, but it’s not terrible. just too mature for me. like TOO mature. like you gotta be 50+ to enjoy not even jesting bruh.
samiklah97
one of the most sophisticated oud perfumes it is so deep each time you smell it it pull you down and down
PK_thundr
This is a woman's fragrance. I'm glad I just have a sampler, because there's no way that I'd be wearing this day to day as a man. It's very strong and long lasting as well. Bummer because I'm not sure a man would ever want to be out smelling like this! I'd love for my girlfriend to wear it though.
This is more rose, vanilla, powdery dominant. The oud if its there at all adds a bit of ever so light smokiness with the incense. It all comes together very nicely. Great fragrance, just not something I could see myself, or any other man wearning.

Sweet powdery camphory rose with hints of Oud. Great projection and performance. For for those who want attention. Go light on the spray if you use it for office, else it can distract others. One of the unique rose Oud fragrances. Unisex and very nicely done. Shukran Habibi!

Smells like alcholic hand sanitizer.

I ordered a sample from mfk, loves it for the first few days until someone told me it smells like wet paint. It actually does and having been told this completely ruined the scent for me.
wackasmore
i would say it smells nice, the rose is very prominent, but it is a little too powdery for me
ahmadamine274
This smells so deep I do not know how to describe it, It is my favorite western oud
gwenkaukel
Smelt a little too mature for me. I'm not a big fan of powdery perfumes though.
SiddhantSuryawanshi
Now, I'll admit, my usual scent choices run more towards bracing citrus and brisk sea air. But this...this is something quite extraordinary. Imagine the finest silk against bare skin, that's the sensation it brings to mind. The oud provides a dusky heart – dark, rich, but never overpowering. Then come the surprises, mind you. A touch of violet, sweet and mischievous like a hidden smile.
A rose of exceptional quality follows. I despise anything too floral, but this isn't your grandmother's garden party scent. There's a warmth, a hint of Turkish delight and spice that makes it undeniably sensual.
The whole thing settles into this glorious amber and vanilla warmth – think golden sun on your skin after a long swim. It's decadent without being cloying, sophisticated but with a hint of hidden danger. If I'm being perfectly honest, it suits a tuxedo rather splendidly.
Jaysned496
The opening of this (a blast of sweet rose) made me recoil and smells super feminine..... but then it dries down and the other notes appear it becomes more palatable and unisex.
I don't know if it's just me but the dry down of this kind of reminds me of Bentley for men intense with a touch of rose.
Arsenal Till I Die
Marque collection 214 by fragrance world smells just as strong and smells nearly identical to this!
The quality is great and no one would be able to tell the difference. I’m loving it and especially because it’s saved me hundreds of dollars!
timsmellsg00d
Where do I even begin with this fragrance, it's like listening to your favorite song for the first time, love at first smell. This has an amazing aroma of sweet florals and oud. It is almost like a gourmand, reminds me of the most delicious platter of Turkish delight. Beautiful rose opening and it dries down to this smooth vanilla oud fragrace. The blend and scent are so worth the price tag. Francis Kurkdijan might be more well known for Le Male and Baccarat Rouge 540 but I believe this is his best symhony. This is now my new favorite scent and I don't think anything can top this.

Delicious intoxicating candied roses

I ordered some samples from MFK to try some of the Aquas and I added a sample this one, not really expecting to like it, but more from curiosity. I think my long search to find something I adore just as much as Baccarat Rouge 540 is over, and here it’s been, hiding in plain sight behind her the whole time.
Edit: Following day - my full bottle has arrived and I have a new love of my life. Lesser perfumes bow down before this masterpiece <3

Remember falling in love for the first time? I relive that feeling every time I wear this, only without the heartbreak, because I have backup bottles.
Kurohitsuji90
one of the best fragrances I've ever smelt first time smelling it i was blown away by the rose. gorgeous fragrance I know its expensive but i give it a 11/10
honeymilkbee
Maison Francis’ site lists this as a gourmand when you take their, “what fragrance would I like” quiz. Cloying? You must not be familiar with edible scents. While it’s not the delicious edible scent I was expecting, it is incredible. Reminiscent of a private luxuries spa that gifts satin robes or sleep masks. This fragrance lives up to its name.
DawnBreaker
I get sweet talcum powder that overpowers most of the oud and rose. Pleasant, but too feminine for me. I'll stick with Oud Silk Mood Extrait, which is a 10/10 for me.
Cherryzaad
The opening is magical and uplifting. Soon after, the drydown becomes imo cloying and too extremely heavy on the rose. It should’ve been paired down into something more woody, with the top notes of rose instead of the potpourri mid and heart notes. It also smells very cold in an unpleasant way. Should I let the bottle rest for a week or two, or is that just how the scent is?
CardEssentials
I really enjoy this fragrance, I don't own it but I sprayed it on me at the store around 6 hours ago and it is still going strong. I don't normally like our but this one really stands out to me in a good way. Great fragrance.

It's really strong at first. All you can smell is the rose. After some time it dries down into sexiness. A very heavy fragrance but so captivating and leaving an amazing scent trail. Definately not for everyone. Very Unisex and versatile.

This ended up being a great blind-buy gift for my mom. It’s got a sophisticated vibe, with a rose note that runs deep and intertwines beautifully with a vanilla base. The addition of expressive violet on the top sets it apart from fragrances that aspire to smell alike. The quality of the blend is top-notch, which is exactly what you'd expect from MFK. The longevity is extraordinary, with a confident presence throughout the day. The only part I'm not sold on is the unisex classification. Maybe in a century, if societal views on gender have shifted drastically, then yes, but for now, it leans heavily towards a feminine scent. All in all, it’s another fantastic creation from MFK.
Loose Goose
Beautiful, slightly synthetic vanilla with a jammy rose and some oud in the background.
Extremely strong performance

Rose syrup. Sirap bandung.
Way too sweet for me.

I think I will never mature to wear oud scents. Even though it’s really nicely blended, it gave me a headache. I kept a blotter in my coat pocket and I couldn’t get rid off it for days. My partner just by sitting next to me when I was wearing the coat, got a headache. Beautiful, but only for strong noses.
JadeA
This is a beautiful fragrance, It has extremely great longevity and the scent gets better with time. It is a soft, subtle and cosy scent that with depth. I reach for this bottle a lot as it can be worn both for day and night time.
hc123
Wow..just got a decant of this and I definitely am loving it . Vanilla, oud with a backbone of rose, I just picked up POAL by Frederick malle and this is definitely an easier rose fragrance for a man to pull off. I think rose can be a polarizing note and hard to hit a real masculine mass appealing blend so don't expect compliments from every corner (if that's your thing) but people who like this, just like POAL, will be swooning when the sillage hit them.
ChiGurl
Rose and violet, but no dominant oud, that is what my nose detects. To me it is more velvety than powdery. Maybe that velvet is more satin… It is elegant and opulent. Quiet luxury.
RyanDaRaider
MFK does a magical job of making long lasting projecting frags. Seriously this can last on skin 24 hours. Beautifully done frag, starts out with the OUD almost makes you feel like it leans masculine however it dries down to this very DEEP Rose thus turning feminine. All that to be said, due to the dry down I would say overall it leans more feminine. It's def a 10/10 for someone however personally I don't like heavy floral rose on myself. I'll say this much, DO NOT BLIND BUY. HOWEVER, if you are a female this could be your signature date night scent. If you're a man who doesn't mind smelling like Rose, try it out go for it.
TadMik
First thing I have to say that it's best performing fragrance that I have ever tried.
Performance: 11/10
Secondly, this smells very classy and sophisticated, completely unisex and is great for suit up formal events, but there is too much rose in it for me and because of that it's pretty hard pull this off often.
Smell: 7/10
Overall: 8/10 max cause of versatility

Just purchased this fragrance yesterday and already there is so much to say about it.
First of all the rose stands out A LOT, in the beginning, it is a strong oud but after it dries down I get a lot more rose and the oud is hard to pick up on.
Also read that some people said this smells like baby wipes, which I didn't believe, until my mother came home and said the whole place smelt like baby wipes after I sprayed this fragrance.
Overall, I personally love it but it has it's downsides and isn't for everyone.
Marshzcents
Im not sure if I already wrote a review on this, but these are my current thoughts.
Oud Satin Mood is a beautiful oud rose fragrance that has a bit of a gourmand, jammy kind of smell, that blends beautifully with a dense, marshmallow fluff kind of vanilla. My favourite part of this fragrance is the oud, it has a beautiful and photo-realistic dry oud that smells really luxurious. The "issue" with dry oud is that it has an earthy undertone that might draw people off. I know from asking my girl and several female friends and relatives that this kind of oud smell can be too masculine for the liking of some women. However, for most of the life of the fragrance, it leans almost all the way to femenine. This is marketed as unisex, and as a guy who has worn several femenine leaning unisex fragrances, this is really femenine until it gets to the late dry down.
This means that the late dry down, which comes at around 8-10 hours into the wearing (Yes, this lasts like 24hrs on skin) is my favourite part and the only one I like. Sadly I wouldn't wear this as much as I like the dry down, everything else is too much. If you're a girl and don't mind the heavy oud base, you would smell better than 99% of girls out there. If you're a guy and are thinking about blind buying it, my recommendation is to try it beforehand. I did the mistake of blind buying it and I regretted it. Not because it's bad, but it is just not for me. That and the fact that this is not spring and summer friendly, heck, even fall friendly. If I was a girl I would strictly recommend you wore this exclusively in the winter, otherwise you will choke everyone in the office or in the room.

Eh this stuff is really good
But it's nowhere near as good as the extrait, which is one of the best perfumes of all time
So the edp is redundant

This just smells so elegant and expensive (well, it IS expensive). It smells like a sweet, very powdery rose, and the oud in the background makes it exotic and sexy. It becomes more powdery on my skin as it dries down, but it’s still appealing. It’s a super intoxicating fragrance - completely unisex. It is super strong, so I wouldn’t consider it an everyday wear. I’m not sure if I would buy a full bottle but I really enjoyed trying it.
chri5tin3
I was quite underwhelmed by this. It smells like every other rose/oud combo but the upside is that it quite literally lasted 19 hours on my skin.
I sprayed it while out shopping one night and randomly sniffed my arm the next afternoon to see if it survived the day and it was still distinctly there. Crazy.
I did like the dry down quite a lot as it was cosy and powdery from the rose and vanilla. I guess I just can't handle oud for too long... and it lasts veryyy long here.
My favourite MFK is still Grand Soir but I can see why people love this. Brilliant quality.

The Essence of MFK Oud Satin Mood
Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Oud Satin Mood is a fragrance that transports its wearers to a realm woven from the threads of fantasy, luxury, and the exotic. It is a scent that encapsulates the vision of its creator, Francis Kurkdjian, a perfumer known for his ability to blend tradition with innovation. Launched as part of the Oud collection, Oud Satin Mood reflects Kurkdjian's exploration of oud, a resinous heartwood from the Aquilaria tree, which has been a symbol of wealth and sensuality in perfumery for centuries.
Creation and Inspiration
Francis Kurkdjian, the master perfumer behind Maison Francis Kurkdjian, created Oud Satin Mood as an ode to the soft, enveloping, and luxurious feel of satin fabric. The fragrance is designed to evoke the sensation of smooth satin gliding over the skin, providing an olfactory bridge between the material world and the intangible world of scent. Kurkdjian's inspiration comes from his desire to capture the opulence of the East and merge it with the sophistication and elegance of Western perfumery.
Composition
Oud Satin Mood stands out for its rich and complex composition. The fragrance opens with a delicate balance of violet accords, blending their sweet, powdery, and slightly woody nuances with the deep and mysterious notes of Laotian oud. This opening sets the stage for a heart that blooms with the intense, yet soft floral notes of Bulgarian rose and Turkish rose, creating a luxurious and enveloping warmth. The base of the fragrance is grounded in the rich, sweet notes of amber and vanilla, combined with the creamy and soft qualities of benzoin, which together create a lasting sillage that is both intoxicating and comforting.
Reception and Impact
Upon its release, Oud Satin Mood received acclaim from both critics and fragrance enthusiasts for its unique interpretation of oud, its craftsmanship, and its ability to balance complexity with wearability. It has been praised for its longevity and projection, making it a favored choice for those seeking a signature scent that leaves a lasting impression. The fragrance has also contributed to the growing popularity of oud in Western perfumery, showcasing the ingredient's versatility beyond its traditional, often sharper or more medicinal presentations.
In Contemporary Perfumery
Oud Satin Mood exemplifies the trend towards global olfactory influences in contemporary perfumery, where ingredients with deep-rooted cultural and historical significance are reinterpreted through a modern lens. The fragrance is a testament to the artistry of blending traditional materials with innovative composition techniques to create scents that are both familiar and entirely new. It also reflects the increasing demand for niche fragrances that offer individuality and a sense of luxury through craftsmanship and quality ingredients.
Conclusion
MFK Oud Satin Mood is more than just a fragrance; it is a narrative woven from the threads of ancient traditions, luxury, and the art of perfumery. Its creation, composition, and reception highlight the enduring allure of oud and the innovative spirit of Maison Francis Kurkdjian. As a scent, it invites wearers to envelop themselves in a mood of opulence and elegance, bridging worlds and evoking the luxurious touch of satin on skin. Through Oud Satin Mood, Francis Kurkdjian has crafted an olfactory masterpiece that continues to captivate and inspire, securing its place in the pantheon of modern perfumery classics.

I shed a tear the first time I smelt this. Heavenly scent.

What a let down. I tested this recently and it immediately reminded me of Kim Kardashian’s Crystal gardenia oud. But the later was way cheaper.
barta.bart
I didn’t like this. Smells nice but I’m not into overly feminine fragrances. too overpriced and lasts only moderately. Daughter says it reminds her of sunscreen
I don’t smell any rose at all
3nnadi
Oud Satin mood is alright but it has a weird papery underscent, oud silk mood much better.
spaceybailey
So in love with this one. The best from MFK in my opinion. Not a strong oud, love that about it. The violet and vanilla combo is so breathtaking. Sweet and velvety. That's the only way I can describe it, one of the most beautiful scents ever. It's really that deep. Candy violet, warm vanilla and powdery rose, in the best way. That settles very angelic... A very SEXY, luxurious, night time perfume. I'm obsessed. BISOUS
rowanold
absolutely beautiful, perfect fragrance. no improvement or changes needed. lovely combination of each note listed in a way u can identify and appreciate each one as well as appreciate how incredible they all work in conjunction, lasts ages and fills any room you enter, imo suitable for almost any occasion or time of year. 100/10 my absolute favorite and signature
sydedele
I'm so disappointed, smelling it straight from the bottle cap it smells divine. Sprayed on the skin or paper its a completely different fragrance for me, Its so pungent and sharp its not pleasant at all and its annoying because I was hoping the dry down would be better but no its still the same maybe a bit more smooth but that pungent bitter smell is still very much strong, its like baby powder and disinfectant wipes mixed with Oud. The smell from the bottle tho is so lovely I don't understand.
The performance is very good but its not worth $350 for me at all
Jérémie Chaput
The oud is nowhere to be found but thank god, because the rose-vanilla-violet combination is to die for. Sweet and silky. I dig it.
Odor Aeternitatis
I am not a fan of the rose and oud combination. This particular scent leans towards a more feminine taste due to the combination of rose and vanilla. And it's slightly sweet. It has a sophisticated scent and is more suitable for dressing up and evening wear.
The real oud is a very rich, strong, animalic note but what you have here is something synthetic, gentle, and mild, and has nothing with oud. It's a mass-pleasing type of scent.

The greatest masc leaning rose scent you will ever come across. cop this and literally anything else with rose as a note on this website will become irrelevant. you can still smell them but they will never compare. this and grand soir (rest of mfk kinda sucks, sorry) can turn a literally filthy amoeba ass dude sucking on gutter rainwater into a literal walking greek statue
Kyer
Instantly fell in love.
Smooth, silky, dark, woody and jammy. That’s what it smells like, for some reason the vanilla + rose combo makes this smell like some sort of jam, and that together with the Oud and violet make this smell like if you were laying on a bed full of silk sheets on a dark rainy night while the smell of strawberry strudels sneak through your door.
Absolutely beautiful. Masterpiece. The best Oud I’ve ever smelled, non dirty at all.
masterofcologne
so mid and overpriced smells like an old man and its 300 dollars do not blindbuy

Beside rose abd oud, I can snell lavender and aromatic notes like in Sex Appeal by Jovan.

Alright, diving into Oud Satin Mood by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, it's like wrapping yourself in the most luxurious, smooth fabric you can imagine. Launched back in 2015, this scent is a serious game changer. Francis Kurkdjian, the mastermind behind it, really knocked it out of the park. It's got this deep, rich vibe that's hard to pin down but impossible to forget.
Wearing it, you feel like you've stepped up your game without even trying. It's both warm and sophisticated, making you think of exotic places and refined settings. It's the kind of scent that gets you compliments from people who know their stuff when it comes to fragrances. Whether you're heading to a fancy dinner or just want to feel extra special on a regular day, Oud Satin Mood delivers. It's like the suit of scents—always right for making an impression.

you need to simply go cop Baroque satin oud for $15, rough at first but let it sit for 2 months and it’s magical
mxnnys
very strong womens fragrance nothing unisex about it at all. theres no oud in this at all
Ivan_Sully
I got a sample of this fragrance and I couldn't stop smelling my wrist from this fragrance. I don't think that the oud is present as much as I would like but the vanilla and rose is so addicting. This does seem a little feminine, but I am okay to wear it considering how much I love it. I will soon be getting a full-size bottle of this to add to my collection.
Denisa Aiko
I went to a niche fragrance store a while ago that has quite a lot of brands and this was the only perfume that impressed me.
Something about this makes me feel beautiful, sexy, and mysterious .
I never liked fresh, green rose notes in perfume but this is something else. It's a beautiful jammy rose with not smoky oud.
Perfection.
hirayanaapuhap
It's so depressing why I didn't grow to love this when all of my dream notes have been listed on this perfume. I can smell some artificial tang of oud, almost leaning close to most oud dubai perfumes. I badly wanted to love this, but it's just not for me. :(
2bClare
This perfume delivers very distinct stages, that come in waves. First spray is a strong woody note. After about 20 minutes that turns into a completely enveloping powdery cloud. And after an hour of that the Rose finally comes through, although for me it was never as strong as others have described it. And after 2 hours all the notes blend together perfectly and it just smells GOOD. Like keep sniffing your wrist good, even if in public, lol.
Sillage- pretty enormous especially if like me you sometimes respray because you want to keep smelling it yourself.
Persistence- also excellent. . 10 hours plus.
violeteme
Extremely sweet, powdery, vanillic. Very jammy. Could be pretty, but only in very minimal amounts. The rose note in itself is gorgeous, deep, burgundy, velvety, languid, there are facets of wine acidity. Francis Kurkdjian knows how to make a rose, but to my taste the whole composition is just too jammy.
hugo1dk
An absolute masterpiece of perfumery, a potent and intoxicating blend of Rose, Oud and Vanilla. This fragrance is heavy heavy on the rose and if this isnt your thing, this fragrance isnt for you. The oud is faint and sweet but a nicely blended mix, very subtle but very pleasant. On my skin, this fragrance is eternal, 15 hrs + of strong projection with 3 sprays. Its a very sweet, sexy and strong fragrance that people WILL smell.
In my opinion, the extrait of this fragrance i not worth it, already this fragrance is potent and intoxicating and an extrait takes it to a whole another level. Far, far to strong for most people.

This one reminds me of my grandma. I don't have an experts nose but to me its a powder bomb. Like someone else mentioned the Oud is almost non-existent here, making this feel more feminine to me. The rose note is well done and subtle, but the benzoin and vanilla rule this scent. It does match the satin smell nicely I'll say.
Not for me but I could see others really liking it.

When it comes to Performance this is ridiculously powerful. When it comes to scent however, it's very polarizing. It's either the best thing you have ever smelt or very nauseating. My friends have compared it to baby wipes, Turkish Delight, and medicine. To me it's a strong rose, vanilla, and balsamic scent, I couldn't really sense the Oud at all as much as I wanted to. Not blind buy safe but definitely worth experiencing. 8/10 for me, I would've given it a higher score if the Oud within the name actually had any presence.
Cr0wn
On my skin it smells like a 85 - 10 - 5 ratio of notes. 85% sweet, jammy rose scent. 10% oudy smell on the background, and 5% of something powdery that you get whiffs of every now and then.
As time goes on, the sweetness gets a tiny bit less and you will smell the oud/violet better. But the sweet rose scent is definitely on the foreground from start to finish.
I can see why it is not a scent everyone would like, and it also depends on your skin chemistry. Personally, I find it unisex but more leaning towards the feminine side.
zawwarahmad
top notes: Candy, musky, earthy -> very unique from the start.
middle notes: powdery, oudy, and earthy notes
base notes: scent profile linear throughout just lighter to end
I can understand why some people would would say this is abit medicinal. I actually enjoyed this fragrance overall an easy wear without offending anyone. performance is also very decent.
I wish they made this stronger (extrait is different scent in my opinion, not just stronger)

Pretty fragrance but it smells older to me. Like something I'd revisit when I'm at least in my mid/late 30s. I think if you're on the younger side, you'll struggle to pull this off
dmloy2581
I strongly dislike this fragrance. On my skin, I don't smell any jammy roses or sweetness, as some people have mentioned. On me, it smells like pure powder. I can't stand powdery smells. It reminds me of walking in to my grandmothers bathroom and getting a waft of her bar of dove soap sitting on the counter. It smells like dove soap to me. Really not a fan. I can see how some would like it and it is very unisex, but it's really not for me.
MeguminLikesExplosives
I do not get oud what so ever, and not a big dose of vanilla either.
I do get a platter of SUPER SMOOTH jammy roses and powdery vibes that smell very pleasant.
Im somewhat disappointed but it's not a bad perfume by any means, it's good..especially on women but i wear it as a man
Irvdaman15$
This one definitely took some time to grow on me and I'm glad it did because its really unique.
Sweet, yet has the woody oud that mixes very well with the jammy rose note with a heavy dose of vanilla to make the fragrance one heck of a combination.
One of my all time favorites, just hard to wear casually or in a work or school setting. Date night and late night approved, cold weather a must as hot weather will have this fragrance wearing you instead of you wearing it.
10/10.

Heavenly fragrance!
Words cannot describe how decadent this fragrance is. My boyfriend rarely is wowed by my fragrances because he’s used to me always smelling amazing but this fragrance had him obsessed and wanting to buy it for himself. He said it’s the best fragrance I’ve ever worn and that he’s never smelled anything like it and I completely agree. It smells intoxicating and indescribable. It smells clean yet sweet. It’s a soapy rose with notes of vanilla. It smells truly luxurious. This will forever remain in my fragrance collection.
nichoa99
Too challenging for my nose right now. Smells like mold and mildew. It is also the first time I've smelled oud. I'm also smelling up close from a sample dabbed on my skin, which is probably different than in the air. I can appreciate the sophistication of this fragrance though, I'm just not there yet in my fragrance journey where I lean towards these types of profiles.
Alitheredhead
really nice, was expecting more of a sweet but this is sultry at its finest. it is very strong, i bought a decant and hardly used any but it is fragrant!! it really reminds me of michael kors decadence, but with out the licorice note. spicy, sweet, woodsy, the whole gangs all here.
chowder.man
I damn near have an orgasm everytime i smell it

Absolutely excellent. If you are not familiar with oud fragrance I would suggest buying a sample first. But having said that, this is a safe mostly mass appealing fragrance. To me It smells like someone who is wealthy sophisticated and wise, alluring and adventurous, secretive and intelligent. It just smells like a rich smart sensual person. Just my opinion.
QueenbeeSara
This is a really strong perfume.
You either hate it or you love It.
Its a really strong, heavy sweet perfume.
The Oud note is creemie and you can really detect the Violet that gives It that massive kick.
Its a really unique smell that I really like. I would recommend to use It at night and to not over spray, or you can chock someone.

Let me tell you...
Fragrance is a wonderful thing.
Oud Satin Mood is a love language; you must decipher it to earn its devotion. At its heart, it's a love letter to sensuality, refinement, ecstasy, and glamour. She's an opulent night owl who doesn't mind turning heads, capturing envy, and breaking hearts.
I'll start with caution: Once you've experienced this, there is no going back.
As many have mentioned, it opens heady and very strong. The unraveling is an instant burst of rose and jammy violets that crash into the other but ultimately find resonance. This interlude conceptualizes a sharp, almost powdery vanilla-amber/violet moment where the notes weave in and out of the other, finding their place. Over time they settle, blessing your skin with a luxurious and smooth melody of vanilla, amber, and rose. And my God...it's utterly intoxicating. I swear, every time I wear it I feel like such a boss! This will appeal to those who like quality, rich, statement-making fragrances. If you like Middle-Eastern-inspired scents, you'll probably worship this too. Imagine a stylish, well-dressed, Middle-Eastern royal and you have the essence of Oud Satin Mood.
YES, it's a strong. A beast, if you will. It lasts forever and projects with velocity, but fear not. I bought a bottle last summer and the compliments I receive are overwhelmingly positive. Each time I wore it in the office I would always get compliments in the elevator. One woman chased me out of a store to inquire about it and the memory never fails to make me laugh. I spray behind my neck, the small of my back, and in the fold of my arm -- that's been my method for projecting without overwhelming. The scent trail of this masterpiece is something that must be experienced by all. It performs extraordinary in the air, as well as up close after it's settled for about an hour. That's not to say it isn't wonderful during that first hour -- you just can't experience the true majesty of Oud Satin Mood until you've allowed it to evolve on your skin. This will forever be a staple in my collection. Thank you MFK :)

Somehow medicinal, cool, metallic. There's something that puts me off here, I don't like it.
Pensive15
Smells similar to black aoud by Montale except the rose seems livelier here. Really would picture this scent on a grandma, as I would in black aoud, but maybe on a more youthful, cheerful one, opposite to the Montale fragrance, where I would see it on a grandma at her doorstep to death.
Kid_Buu
Sweet, floral, powdery, and very strong. Smells quite nice, and is feminine leaning but unisex enough for a guy to wear.
Although it's sweet and floral, it still has a certain warmth to it.. I'd only wear it when it's on the colder side. You can pull it off in winter or fall, maybe spring, but definitely not the summer.
8.5/10. Docked points mainly for the price.
LLdeduction
Divine in the air, but challenging up close.
In the air: smells like sweet, jammy, fruity rose with vanilla supporting it. Definitely get the commonly known rose/oud smell with slight powdery floral nuisances underneath.
Up close: the powdery-ness and oud-esque dank/darkness really dominant over the rest. Still lovely and wearable, but polarizing.
Let this stuff travel to your nose! Don't put your nose right into it.
Tuberose91
On me its smell like Gas. If i spray it on clothes and smell very near on the Place there the spray was, its smells ugly
ericafw
on my skin, this was exclusively a violet scent. powdery candied violets but VIOLETS. i don’t personally want to smell like violets but if you do, boy do i have the fragrance for you
Bizzy1995
If you love rose, you’ll love this. A very warm loud high quality rose blend with a trail of vanilla. Im not a huge fan of rose, so I personally wouldn’t wear this but I can appreciate this. It is what I would imagine a queen to smell like. However, I do think it does not smell like oud very much.
LOST_HORIZON
I think Oud Satin Mood is one of the best MFK perfumes and one of the best oriental type rose perfumes.
This is uncontrolled passion from the first application with this voluptuous rose so well surrounded by a little bit of oud and that silky and addictive vanilla. And don't forget the violet that gives it that elegant powdery character. I don't particularly like the rose but here the rose is a work of art and I surrender at its feet. It is a unique aroma that attracts a lot of attention and captures the moments around you.
And what can we say about the sillage and durability...God! incredible! 3 sprays are enough for hours and hours of pleasure. Can you imagine yourself on a terrace of a palace in Arabia and surrounded by a rose garden at sunset? If you imagine this...you imagine Oud Satin.
If you like something hotter and more spicy, you have the extract, which is already a mass destruction bomb in peefumistic terms.
ScentedPlaza
Oud Satin Mood is a vibe in a bottle - Opulent, royal feel rose with honey, silky vanilla, golden feel benzoin and a beautiful oudy base.
A weighty scent with a velvety texture, full of character! I can see this being a cold weather staple. It radiates wealth & class.

this fragrance is delicious
Noir
A very good rose-oud fragrance. The vanilla gives it some extra sweetness, making it perfect for autumn and winter. A smooth blend as well. Performance is great. It leans slightly more feminine, but I think both genders can wear it. Not your usual rose-oud, so definitely try and sample before you buy.
FragranceFise1912
Masterpiece.
NOT your average oud scent so if you want that classic oud scent, skip this and go for creed royal oud or tom ford oud wood instead. maybe a little on the feminine side but a masterpiece nevertheless.
Aisha007
I get a lot of compliments on this, even from people who are not perfume enthusiasts....However, I feel it needs to be layered with something to enjoy it myself, I get nothing but rose water when I smell it.
Melody Valentine
I recently started wearing this again as I didn't wear it much in the warmer months and I'd forgotten how much I loved it. I wish I'd started wearing it as soon as it got cold. It's so beautiful. This will be in my top ten forever. Way better than Baccarat Rouge. Every time I've worn it people have said I smell lovely. It smells luxurious, expensive, decadent and it's thick, dense and not at all a discreet scent.
Powdery rose and violet with slightly medicinal Oud on a base of sweet vanilla and benzoin. It smells like a chocolate covered Turkish Delight and that's not just my opinion but I've actually been told I smell like a Turkish Delight by other people. It definitely has a baby powder feel so if you don't like powdery scents you likely won't like this. It's so powdery it made me sneeze once. It's more of a cosmetic, luxury face powder smell though. It takes a while unfold so you might want to spray it an hour or so before you're leaving if the opening isn't your favourite part.
The power of this stuff is insane. I'm an over sprayer, to the maximum, so it's rare I ever find a perfume that I truly find to be "nuclear" but this is. I can spray it on in the morning and it still smells strong by the time I get home hours later. Lasts forever on clothes. Fills a room when you walk in wearing it and stays there. I've been able to smell it when I walked back into my building hours after I went out just from walking through after having sprayed myself before leaving. You could definitely use one spray and have people be able to smell it on you but I still use about four or five.
I don't really subscribe to perfumes being for any specific gender but there definitely is a stereotypical male aftershave and female perfume smell so if you're the type of man who only likes very masculine smelling scents, or fresh citrusy scents then you probably won't like it as, to me, it leans more towards the feminine side of things. Personally though, I think it'd probably smell amazing on a guy.
I also don't really have summer and winter fragrances, or I didn't used to anyway, but for me this is definitely more for the colder weather. I'll wear most things at any time but even I found this a bit suffocating in the blazing hot summer.
It doesn't need layering at all, but it definitely can be layered with other scents to either freshen it up, sweeten it up, add a bit of fruitiness, dial down the powder etc. It goes well with Delina, Delina Exclusif, Roses Vanille, Gentle Fluidity Gold and someone said Love, Don't Be Shy earlier, which I wouldn't have thought would work, but I tried it and they were right. It's beautiful. Pretty much anything with rose and vanilla pairs well with it. I once layered it with a rollerball oil impression of Portrait of a Lady from Perfume Parlour and that was lovely too but a VERY strong combo and made me feel a bit self conscious when I got to my destination as it quite literally filled the room for the whole two hours I was there. If you work somewhere where people are bothered by strong scents or you just prefer something more "safe" and "office friendly" this isn't it.
I'd love to try the extrait version of this, I can only imagine how strong that is if the EDP is this strong.
uhohstinky
Oud rose what's not to like here. I'm a barbershop fougere kinda guy but l do love a good rose fragrance and this one checks all the boxes. This is not a wear it everyday kinda fragrance but if you are heading to a formal/black tie classy event this fragrance was made for this type of situation. Projection, longevity and sillage are nuclear and a little goes a long way,so don't over spray it or you will choke people out. It's unisex and some will say it leans more feminine but l disagree. I believe this fragrance can be worn easily by both genders and each can enjoy it equally. I went shopping with my wife and just spray a little on the back of my neck and l could consistently smell it. My wife said she would watch me walk down aisles and watch women's heads turn as each of them caught a whiff of it. It goes without saying l am not allowed to wear this out of the house without my wife. A very elegant, sexy fragrance that a well put together confidant man can pull off, as well as a firm, confidant, knows what she wants kind of woman.

Rose is a challenging note for me, but I will say, I like the gourmand take on it here. It's sweet and opulent. But definitely not something everybody will enjoy, it's STRONG.
MustafaJ
I am sitting in the coffee shop in the mall waiting on my car to be washed. As I inhale my last wearing of my Oud Satin Mood sample off of myself, I am reminded of the words of Khalil Gibran "ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of seperation".
addictpiglet
Came so close to being great but then fell short. Initially it starts as such a heavy rose that I wondered why anyone would spend this much on straight rose water. Later on the oud came through and for a brief hour it smelled heavenly. Sexy, oudy rose, nothing like it. However the oud doesn’t last long and in the dry down it’s so much in the background compared to the rose and it goes back to smelling like rose water. If only the oud was turned up a notch this would be on the hall of fame of fragrances.
Loulou103
Initially thought this over powering preferred Silk Mood but I do like it during colder weather and autumn and it's definitely a compliment getter. Very strong a little goes a long way so a bottle would last for a very long time. Smells sweet and musky and of insence very Arabic.
Tshahb
An obnoxiously strong perfume which screams at everyone "smell how opulent I am, I need you to smell how opulent I am".
I've owned it for a while, and although initially I was bowled over by its beauty, I have come to find it unwearable and quite repellant.
I'm all for strong, challenging fragrances, but I think what bothers me so much about this is precisely that the scent isn't challenging at all, it's just so frigging strong it's impossible to manage it, and it's not pleasant at all. It's OK like 24 hours later but what good is that?
Needless to say there's no oud here, just some vague woody, sweet, slightly resinous base notes. At best it's a saffron rose combo and at worst a cloying, sickly spicy rose vanilla fug.
The more perfumes I experience, the more I can't help seeing MFK as an expensive brand for show-offs who know nothing about perfumery, although I feel it remiss not to say that Kurkdjian himself is a great perfumer, but within the umbrella of his own brand there's not a lot to love. The best offerings in my opinion are 724 and Grand Soir, but that's at a push, and they're certainly not worth the extortionate price with so many alternatives available for less.
StinkyKat
This is another MFK fragrance that takes me back to my childhood. It was not love at first sniff. It kind of reminded me to my grandmother's wardrobe (a bit of some flowery perfume on her coat, the smell of wood and even the moth repellent smell). When I tested it I thought ewwww it smells like old lady's perfume 😀 but the dry dawn grew on me in ways I can't explain. A bit of childhood memories, a bit of wtf is this ? It's new and doesn't resemble any perfumes I own. When I wear it I feel mature and put together. 😌 I got the bottle engraved (if you order online directly by MFK you can customize your bottle).

Very seductive and sexy, dark smelling rose-oud combo with prominent vanille. One of the bests for oud-rose picks. Beastly performing scent. Good choice for price tag

I am addicted to this scent and it’s my ultimate evening scent. It’s strong, stays with you for hours or even days. It’s sexy, powerful, confident and classy.

i can't really smell the vanilla everyone talking about i think it just blend perfectly, the oud is not loud at all more like a sweet oud, defiently can smell the rose and its balancing the perfume not to be dark. id say its more feminine but i don't care its really lovely oud and i don't regret buying it at all.

I love this sent as I originally got a sample as a Christmas gift and it did not disappoint it had amazing projection where you could smell it from a while away and the longevity is amazing, the notes of oud Vannila rose and violet smell astonishing and what i could describe the sent i would say a luxury bed sheets at a private hotel 10/10 fragrance as many women also Said they loved it on me would definitely buy the 70ml bottle
irogers217
smelt this in Harrod's and picked it up the next day. Most definitely a love, some people say however it smells like bug spray. It has more of a lychee opening, which is what initially gravitated me towards the scent.
However the price point isn't, justifiable, near towards 200 for only 70ml. Will not be purchashing again, as therea clone that is 95% accurate to it, for 15 bucks. Fragrance World Barakkat Satin Oud. Invest in this. Thank me later.
8/10, as it left my pockets bleeding
samudex
It reminds me to floral scented candles. It's definitely strong and projects a lot. But this is not for everyone, you must have some experience with rose-oud combo fragrances. I'm still getting used to it.
Edit: someone said it smells kid. Then I sprayed it and wow, it's like mistolin baby powder cleaner. I can't stop making the association.
Beanman1._
Not for me, smells like bug spray to me.
Not safe blind buy for those who do not like rose and oud
it'll defiantly smell better on a woman, but not on me
glad i got a decant and didn't spend $300 on bug spray

Oud Satin Mood (2015)
I don’t know if there is anything left which is not already mentioned but some words about it.
Definitely one of the best and memorable combinations of Vanilla and Roses. It’s so perfect in every kind of way. It’s beautifully powdery, vanilla is not sugary sweet, roses are like fragile baby pink petals and Oud in the background brings the final luxurious touch to this blend. The scent feels like some thick fog or mist descending from the sky over you. After that you are inside the most beautiful cloud - it moves with you wherever you go. It’s classy and elegant yet cozy, opulent and long lasting. I love to wear this mostly during summertime but I know it’s a scent for colder months for many of us. I think I will never get bored with this one. My first bottle was finished one year ago and I was thinking not to buy a second one but I can’t be without it.
LuaLat
Seduction & opulence in a bottle. Sweet but fresh Rose on top of a dark oud blended with powdery vanilla and a hint of violet blended together to create a smooth, elegant concoction that is evidence of skill full clever perfumery. MFK generally produces cleverly thought out unique yet mass appealing fragrances that are well constructed takes on simple scent DNA’s. Great for date nights and special occasions autumn through winter. Seductive, romantic, bold DNA that is suitable for women and men.
Performs really well
12+ hours longevity on skin & 24 hours on clothes
5-6 loud projection fills a room
Silage trail lingers really well and stays put
Although is an incredible creation from the house of MFK this is not what is expected from an Oud fragrance but it is one I highly recommend trying out. If you want a classy, seductive, unique truly special fragrance with incredible performance then this is the one for you.

Oh my she is an absolute beauty and I now understand why this fragrance is loved by many. Let me start this by saying I despise Oud. I have tried over and over again to like it but it has failed me for years… until this one. The Oud is done oh so perfectly. This is the most well balanced perfume I have ever smelled. The Oud is not powdery or synthetic here, its there, but along side vanilla and rose they all come forth together. MFK is a true genius. I just layered this with Tom Ford noir pour femme and WOW. If you own both just give it a try it is magical. Everyone needs OSM in their collection and this is coming from an Oud hater!
ClosetGeek
Just received my full bottle today and I’m about an hour into it…..
To me….this is walking into a rose florist that also sells freshly baked, lightly sweetened vanilla pastries with wood counters and cabinetry.
If you don’t like rose, you won’t like this. Someone called this a rose bomb…true story. If you don’t like beast mode projection, you won’t like this. We all probably knew that one woman that wore a whole lot of “perfumey” perfume that smelled common and cheap and you couldn’t get away from it no matter what you did. This has that type of projection; however…….
This is staggeringly beautiful and luxurious. Elegantly sexy. Richard Gere and Julia Roberts going to the opera in Pretty Woman comes to mind. PLUS the piano scene! And either one of them could be wearing this.
First spray doesn’t tell the story. Holding it under your nose doesn’t tell the story. This has to breathe and be worn for a while to properly experience what this fragrance has to offer.
I truly cannot imagine more than one spray at a time with this, so price becomes palatable to me. Highly recommend sampling on skin first.
calamusdraco4
It’s not hard to spot high quality perfumes and this is one of them. Masterpiece. Baby wipes? Nah sorry not for me. But each to their own.
Be careful if you mention anything about baby wipes the “Boujee police” might come and get you
Yolis
It definitely takes a specific nose to like this. One that I don't have. Velvet Rose & Oud by Jo Malone is the superior Rose + Oud fragrance without smelling like old lady or baby.
I could see you liking this is if you like powdery scents... as in baby wipes. People shitting on other reviewers for saying it smells like baby wipes and being like "baby wipes??? Your nose isn't advanced and you are too stupid for this fragrance you normie" are TRYNA be boujee. This smells like baby wipes and old lady. You can like that. Ain't nothing wrong with that. I like perfumes that make me smell like a hippie, some other people don't. That's okay.
It do last like a BEAST though I'll give it that (it is way too much on my clothes though, my skin tames it a little but goddamn). Obviously high quality and it should be at the price.
EDIT: I have indeed spun the block and continued to try it. Listen, it IS sweet rosy oudy babywipes, like that's LITERALLY what it smells like idk why people try to deny it. But I KIND OF like it... I get the appeal. It's pretty, it's a calming elegant type of scent. Like I think I would only wear this at home when I am having a cozy day. It kind of makes me feel like a mom in a weird way (I am 24 I am NOT a mother but think of those comforting vibes).
Mrsjuliajacques
This perfume is the definition of beast mode. Half a spray on my neck and I had trouble sleeping, it was so strong at first. Off the bat, the oud dominates and is extremely heavy. However the drydown is a dry, smoky, rose/vanilla which is really nice. This perfume will stay on sometimes even after washing, and lasts on clothing for days. I think 2 sprays would fill up a room, so dont overspray. Id sat its an essential part of anyones collection and great for layering. I dont think its a great scent for the office or anywhere there could be delicate noses.
DTreadaway
Very strong and matronly. Did not like it
sydeyn
put this on in a bathroom at a vegas nightclub and couldn't smell anything for the rest of the night. this is forever tainted now, reminding me of cigarettes, vodka, dirty carpet and scary men. it does smell good but it has a kind of gagging quality
Vapidcucumber
One of the most unique scents in my collection. MFK tend to produce clean, well blended scent profiles- but I Don’t think anybody has produced something quite similar to Oud Satin Mood. The oud note is not akin to the typical woody dark note that you come to expect with most oud notes, but rather it seems to carry the rose and other flowers through its scent profile with a strength that you don’t tend to notice with flowery notes usually. It’s very sweet, but lasts days on your clothes so take it easy on the trigger. Beautiful packaging and bottle, this is my wedding signature and always garners compliments- another absolute masterpiece.
Deliza1997
This is definitely a unisex fragrance and any woman can wear it with confedence if they want something little robust. The opening can be very intense for some people, give it some time the dry down is very nice, you will get warm, oudy, rosy, powdery vanilla with some underlying sweetness. To my nose the powderyness isn’t overpowering like Narciso Rodriguez Poudree. The oud in it is very smooth and well blended, nothing animalic or burnt.Very modern and wearable interpretation of oud.
It is a beast performer, one or two spray will fill the room and will project for 6-7 hours. The lasting power is just amazing, it will not go away until the next wash, even after wash you may get hint of it.
It is a special occasion fragrance, very suitable for cold weather but if you wear it in the summer people around you may get annoyed as it is very strong. For me it is sophistication in a bottle, not sexy to my nose but people have different definitions for sexiness.(Like Grand Soir elegant but not sexy)
Although It is expensive, you need only two sprays so one bottle will last for very long time. But I don't think it is a beginner friendly fragrance you need to be into oud and roses to enjoy this. For beginners I will suggest Lattafas Oud Mood(not a dupe).
Clay_N
Sweet and unexpected, definitely a little on the strong cloying side for my nose.
Rose and oud are an interesting combination, and I see why many people feel it is a sophisticated scent. Maybe it leans a bit mature, but it definitely takes a certain type of person to wear.
AndyLepsuk
Got only compliments from it, I love the mix of Rose, Oud and Vanilla, reminds me a bit of Turkish delight… may be too sweet for some but I am a sucker for sweet fragrances during colder days.
100% not a safe blind buy, in any case none of the perfumes that are not fresh and aquatic are safe to blind buy. Get your nose on it first, keep the testing paper for a few hours and smell it again since perfumes usually break down to different notes. Then make your assumption if you like it or not.
For me this fragrance is a classy, sophisticated and mature, so it doesnt fit to teenage boys… got told that the scent suits me as a person and it became my signature, yet im still interested in various of perfumes.
chasingfragrance
Out of all the perfumes in my collection, this is my favourite. I know many dislike it, but for me this is a powerful, bold, yet classy fragrance. Lovely, slightly sweet and powdery violet, with a soft rose and oud base. Heavy dose of vanilla as well. Lasts the whole day, projecting strong for about 3 hours, so no need to overspray. Sticks to clothing like crazy, I can always smell it for days. As long as you don't overdo it, it will form a beautiful scent bubble around you. I love wearing it as it makes me feel confident and elegant.
Lgrego20
This is what you get when you combine skanky oud, fetid rose, pungent violet and douse it in baby powder.
Hard pass.
J'aimeunefragrance
It would be nice to enjoy this once in a while out in the wild, not more than that. It invades my personal space.
My dad really appreciated my gift :)
santiniansia
My interest in this died pretty quickly, and I sold my travel spray. It's just too cloying, I guess.
Darokes85
I’ve sang Oud Satin Moods praises for many moons, but after owning this fragrance for a while, I can say that I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, OSM is a beautiful, luxurious sweet rose & oud combo that’s out of this world, but on the other hand, the powdery accord is cloying and overbearing. Also when this fragrance dries down, after what seems like 87 years, you’re left with a weird metallic sweet ‘rot’ aroma that conjures up thoughts of blood, brown sugar and rotting rose petals.
I’ve found that layering OSM with MFK’s Oud edp cuts down the powder accord significantly but layering these two powerful fragrances would require a light half squirt of each, center mass to avoid an olfactory assault to anyone within a 50 yard radius.
I just don’t know about this one. Im *thisclose* 🤏🏽 to just giving it away because I don’t know what else to do with it. Are there any layering combo suggestions?
Shashay
Lasts all day but boy this stuff smells strong af! not a fan, had to scrub it off and I only spritzed it once onto my arm. Probably would smell wonderful if the oud and rose were toned down alot more
Wraithmanxiv
This is the first time i splurge this much into a bottle. At first i’m on the fence between this and grand soir, but choose this instead because:
1. This smells more unique to me
2. This smells gourmandy-like in the opening
Short description, this perfume to me is a gourmand scent, mixture of rose syrup, lychee syrup, vanilla and sandalwood soap. As for longevity, this last around 7+hours on my skin, with 2 sprays in tropical climate. Sillage is strong around 1,5 meters in first 2 hours, and after that you can ocassionally catch a whiff of it. My wife said she still can smell the perfume on 7 hours mark when she hugs me. As for ocassion, i definitely think you can wear this to work everyday.
My wife said this perfume bring back her memories of making rose syrup desert, and to me, reminding me of the sandalwood soap my dad wore.
Ibolyaaa
One of my most worn fragrances ever, strong scent that could be overpowering but whenever I wear it I get compliments. I think it's a bit overpriced, but I would still buy it again and again. It's best worn on cold days especially at night, but I think it's also very wearable during the day, but that's for everyone to decide for themselves. 10/10

In ‘Fragrance Community Hell’ there’s a seat just for me (I’ll see some of you there), it’s kept clear, free and clean. Ready for me to repent the sins of lurking on forums, subreddits, comment sections. Sins of liking and then disliking Aventus to the point where I gave away my 50ml bottle of some early batch. Sin of blind buying a ‘hidden gem cheapie from the recommendation of a YouTube Influencer then giving it away after a week.
The litany of sins will include disliking this shit.
I bought a 5ml sample of this thinking ‘Oud’ and Francis Kurdjian it will be a certified ‘get!’. I was excited when it arrived, I set it aside to wear on skin; I had even decided on the day I was going to wear it, to what site. On the day I wore it I didn’t end up going to that site, I didn’t even wear what clothes I had planned two days ago. Nah...and boy oh boy dear reader I was glad. I went through the normal routine of that day; sending my daughter off to school, then going to the gym before my workday started. I did a great session at the gym, short, intense, good. Showered, moisturised and then just four spays of Oud Satin Mood.
Ugh!
This stuff. Stinks! Not a normal Oudy funk. No just plainly hums.
This made me delve deep into the metaphor and simile bargain bin and pull out this gem: Now I am not a fan of Harry Potter, I have never read the books, I never watched the films voluntarily. I don’t care about the world the characters or the fans inhabit. But I have seen one of the films.
I don’t care to look up which one it is, but in it there’s a woman who’s sole purpose is to be a bitch. I don’t get why she is introduced, I don’t particular know what purpose she served to the plot, but she was brilliantly played by Imelda Staunton. This character in every scene was hussied up in a fusty pink ensemble. She was the epitome of the kind of woman you’d get championing Margret Thatcher, coquettishly complementing Prince Andrew, c’mon y’know the fucking sort. A pinched middle-Englander.
Now imagine this character, gyrating awkwardly and seemingly suggestively, feculent in her own stale pissy quagmire. That’s the image I got when I sprayed this over-hyped pond water on my skin. I couldn’t stand it, I got home a washed it straight off.
I don’t know how others have lined up behind this malodorous ma’am. I really wanted to like this, I really wanted to belong and be part of the group of people who liked this scent. I had not liked anything by MFK, BR540 made my teeth itch and thinking ‘meh ok’ to Oud Silk Mood. I wanted to like at least one of this guy’s hyped frags (I did: Grand Soir). I could take an educated guess at the note that pisses me off in this, but according to the above there’s only 7 and I’m a fan of them individually (maybe not vanilla, so much), so how is this blended that I cannot stand this at all? I cannot even smell this off a test strip. I will not give this another chance on my skin.
Honestly if the decrepit Miss Havisham had a signature stink it would be this and the steady decay of her body encased in satin, mother-of-pearl and long dead flowers...oh and piss, she’d defiantly smell of old stale piss.
I wished I could end this with something close to an all-encompassing positive oeuvre neatly tied together, but wine, the very late hour and dyslexia stops me from doing so

It is so Arabic and I can’t stand this🤢 It’s not cup of my tea. However, as all perfumes that I hate, this has also great longevity and beast mode fragrance.
Rosiewebber
This opens with an unbelievably sweet candied rose, that becomes slightly mellowed by soapy oud and powdery violet as it dries down. For me this is a very feminine fragrance, and certainly powerful. It’s comforting and soft, but addictive and confident. I love it.
AngelsInAmerica
Very sweet and very long lasting, I do the tiniest one sprits to enjoy the beauty of this scent. Definitely for colder weather for the sweetness does not mix well for hot temperatures. It’s very linear because of longevity of the scent but as I recommend if you sparingly use this fragrance you’d be able to enjoy this.
Kjkoni
Scrubba dub dub, I could not remove this one fast enough… cloyingly strong! If you like rose fragrances enhanced with heavy powderiness, this scent will last you FOREVER… definitely not for me as it is everything that I dislike about perfumery
MyAlabasterJar
Sexy, deep, dark, powdery, clean. I bought this just after a trip to Turkey & Bulgaria to remind me of the gorgeous rose & oud of the region. I totally get the baby wipe comparison but its pleasing and seductively rich. I’d love to smell this on a man.
astralmonad870
Tried this today. After being a fan of fresh and musky roses, I find this particular soapy combination of oud and rose absolutely obnoxious. Scrubbed it off my skin.
Jazz10!
• MFK; Oud Satin Mood is a soft, rosy-wood. Unisex leaning towards feminine 🌹🪵 (Silk Mood is a lot drier, soapy, smoky and masculine).
• The dry down on my skin is a vanilla-wood, while on my clothes, it’s a dry rosy wood.
The potency and sillage is grande. The longevity lasts til morning on fabrics (sprayed on pajamas & bedding around 5pm for perspective).
If you’re concerned about price, you can find a dupe: Julianna’s perfume “in the m’oud”. I own both, close to the same performance at a fraction of the price.
The fragrance altogether grows on you. I adore it.
9/10.

I wish there was more oud in this, needs it to tame down the rose/baby powder smell. Is a little cloying.
I've noticed it smells better in the air then if I smell my arm.
Good sent trail.

This is not an oud fragrance in the traditional sense, but rather Francis Kurkdjian's aromachemical interpretation of the sweet, intoxicating fumes emanating from the top notes of natural oud essential oil.
On my skin, Oud Satin Mood EDP is a lychee-rosewater cookie with tantalizing wisps of incense that temper the confectionary sweetness of the composition. This is a semi-gourmand with a dry quality from the woods that lends itself to a sugar cookie-like character, with a juicy Turkish delight rose to add moisture and texture.
I find this perfume very sultry and a bit of a crowd pleaser, great for date nights and events during colder months. I think oud purists would surely be disappointed if they were expecting a perfume with the characteristic oriental dark richness of that accord, but in my opinion this is a testament to Monsieur Kurkdjian's ingenuity, skill, and creativity in this beautiful reinterpretation.
Mjchaelj
Weird chemical smell. Like women’s hair dye mixed with roses, no thanks. Not for me.

Oh, I'm sad. I had high hopes for this one. I just don't think MFK and I get along. I can't tolerate BR540 or this one either. I only get rose smelling baby wipes and very strong at that. I'm one of the ones who had to wash it off. Maybe some of his fragrances would work for me but I haven't found one yet. C'est la vie!
orangelips11
Oud Satin Mood is a very sweet marshmallow rose scent, the violet notes make its a little bit lipstick vibes, playful and interesting, unisex but leaning more feminine side, work good in fall and winter time
Overall 8/10

I bought a sample of this directly from MFK. The sample sizes are generous and I was able to get several wearings of Oud Satin Mood because a little goes a long way with this perfume. It’s sweet from the vanilla, the rose is definitely noticeable, and while the Oud doesn’t smell at all like my other ouds, it is the star of the show here. I can’t really describe it, but there is an odd undercurrent to this perfume that I also pick up in Oud Silk Mood (maybe it is the Oud they use here, I’m not really sure), but it’s strangely addictive. I like this perfume and much prefer it to Oud Silk Mood, for being darker, more heavy. It lasts a long time and has very good protection. It’s the price point that really turns me off from liking it more, it’s just so very expensive that while it has some great qualities, I can’t justify owning a full bottle.

I dont get the oud
This is like Smoky rose water, waste a money

I had no idea this is so similar to Red Aoud. They are very close, Oud Satin Mood is a bit soapy, which Red Aoud is not, but other than that it seems nearly redundant to have both. I was looking forward to smell this, expecting something unknown but I met something very familiar. Still an excellent fragrance, just a reminder that there is barely anything new under the sun.
Eyisa
Ever since smelling this at Selfridges, I haven’t been able to get it out of my mind. It’s a comforting, rich and sensual scent. I shall be getting a full bottle. To hell with electricity bills.
Chanel de Lanvin
@ Hitmanic completely agree with you, it's an excellent perfume which requires an advanced nose in perfumery, and not in baby wipes, these people have the wrong target.
It is painful to make this observation but it is very real.😉
Hitmanic
This fragrance is delicious. I got a sample from the MFK site and I will be buying a full bottle. One spray on my arm to test and I have been smelling it all day so I can see why people will say this is nuclear fragrance, two sprays will be more than enough to get heads turning.
The rose is so prominent in an addictive, I can’t stop smelling myself way. It smells so rich and my partner is also a big fan, she has also sprayed a test on her arm and the scent profile is following her about the house. I can see myself sharing this bottle when it arrives. As someone posted below, this reminds me of a Fry’s Turkish Delight sweet, which I am a massive fan of!
I am not sure I get the baby wipes reference people are stating in their comments. They must be buying some pretty expensive and fragranced baby wipes, please share the brand and save me some money :-)
Heathermarie8617
This is a beautiful fragrance, however it isn't for me. It is very dry smelling and I can definitely get where people are comparing it to smelling like baby wipes. To me, it does come across extremely soapy. I only sprayed this once and that was more than enough! Bonus: this stuff is super potent so a FB should last a lifetime. Haha! The older I get, the less I'm into beast mode fragrances. Just my personal taste. :)
angelicaswanson
I had high hopes for this since everyone loves this so much but even though I really gave it chance after chance it sorta smells like baby wipes.. I'm confused because people swear on this fragrance and I could not understand as much as I tried. I don't get those "fall baddie vibes" at all. Also kind of reminds me of my burberry black when it goes bad.. Has that piss kind of smell. Maybe the sample I got expired?? I don't know. I think I'll order another sample in the future to see if it is any different.
Update: I sprayed everything I had left and then finally got to understand the hype. Sometimes whenever I get a sample I can get a whole different experience depending on how many times I spray the fragrance onto my skin. One spray might smell completely different from 4 sprays. That was the case with this one. This time it didn't smell like baby wipes or piss, it smelled elegant and mature. Very subtle sweetness and nicely blended woodiness and powderiness. Pretty nice, doesn't make me go insane but I do like it and might purchase it in the future. Recommended if you like the color black and have an elegant/sophisticated style.
For the people that don't get why some people get that baby wipes smell, get a small sample and smell it straight from the bottle and you might understand lol.
For some reason smelling a fragrance from a decant can sometimes be a little different from smelling it from the full bottle! Even if the sample is authentic
AS2687
This is a cashmere blanket of a scent. Cocooning, warm comforting, luxurious. The rose is subtle after the opening, the oud is extremely subtle and very well blended, the vanilla is a dry powder blend with the violet. There’s something about Benzoin in a scent that means it’s too much for day time for me but I adore it in an evening fragrance. Performance is mega- don’t overspray!
RustyBlonde
Since I am Turkish, I am very familiar with this scent. To me it smells exactly like rose flavoured Turkish delight. I wish I could smell the oud or something else other than sugary rose for balance. I might layer it with something else for that.
Ozi hasan
I revisited this fragrance after a few months and I still dislike it. It's still a definite no from me.
Ambrocia scents
It's just beautiful.black dress red lipstick vibe. Sillage is crazy and anyone who smells it on you will look at you twice. Rose is jammy in your face the oud is not intense it's beginner friendly and the violet makes it powdery.just 🔥
Rjhuggi
THIS! This if so f****** sexy!!! Unisex all the way. This would be so nice on a handsome man dressed in a beautifully tailored suit. YUM!
Nikkih21
I really wanted to like this but it’s a big no from me. To
me this smells like a really sickly rose Insense stick mixed with baby powder on steroids. It actually made me feel nauseous and wanting to jump in the shower to scrub it off! Sorry to all the lovers of this one out there but it is definitely not a safe blind buy! Please get a sample first!!
540girl
It is fall, and I have to pay hommage to the most beautiful feminine fragrance of oud.
Again just reminds me of Princess Jasmine vibes and the beauty of a woman. Love it!
LostSock
The opening is amazing, sweet, decadent and very alluring.
After about an hour it goes full on powdery and I don't like it, reminds me of talcum powder or soap.
I would never have bought it personally as the notes don't appeal to me, but I ordered a decent of Grand Soir and got sent this by mistake after a labelling mix up (to the sellers credit he sent that afterwards free of charge.)
This is one I'd definitely recommend trying on skin for a good half day before buying, as in a store I may have bought it based on the opening alone, which sadly doesn't last. If you like soapy, powdery florals though, this might be right up your alley. It definitely leans far more into the feminine side as well on the dry down.
I'll use up my decant though for sure, I'll just keep topping it up when the sweetness starts to dissipate. If it stayed like it is in the first hour or so, I'd have bought a full bottle for sure.
xorosexo
Wanted to love this so badly, the notes really spoke to me! Unfortunately this turned to straight baby wipes on my skin.
Dhillon1990
This is such a beautiful scent. It’s very potent, just 2-3 will do that magic. For me it’s worth every penny. Doesn’t matter it leans little bit feminine but I rock this.
safiya_m
I was positively shocked when I tried this perfume. I had heard amazing things, but was sorely disappointed! For me it just smelled like overpowered baby powder :( couldn't even detect the oud. maybe it was just the initial smell for me, but I disliked it too much to risk buying a full-size bottle. Maybe I'll purchase a tester...
Cowboy87
This definitely has a soft and clean smell. To me it smells like dove bar soap. A mature scent that leans feminine. It does however have great longevity and performance. As a guy I could wear a spray of this but I would definitely have to layer something more masculine. The dry down gets better but still not worth the price tag. 5.5 out of 10. The only blind buy I regret
Spacedynamite
This is Rose flavoured Turkish Delight as a fragrance. Very powdery though... brings me back to wandering into my mum's dressing room as a child, as she was powdering her face and what not to get ready.
RougeRouge84
On paper and looking at the notes this was supposed be my thing. In reality, this is a headache in a bottle for me. The rose comes on for a split second at the beginning and then all I get is the suffocating church type incense. I realise this doesn’t have the incense note, but that’s how it pulls on my skin. I had to scrub it off immediately after applying it.
I would agree with the reviews stating this is very mature. Completely not my thing.
On a positive note, this will have outstanding performance, as it took me at least 10min to wash it off my skin.

*REVIEW FROM A MAN*
I definitely have to stop reading only the positive reviews and ignoring the bad ones when I want to try a fragrance… I saw some reviews saying it’s baby powder smell and was like oh haters but it’s 100% accurate. Glad that I didn’t blind buy the whole bottle!
Smells jammy, kinda nice but at some point it’s too baby powder/wipes like. I cannot enjoy that on myself, definitely leans 80% feminine.
I hope that this honest review helps someone with the decision process and DON’T BLIND BUY!
Bluedenimes
Powdery, sweet, rose, reminiscent of Palma violets. A comforting scent, not your traditional oud. Has a depth and body to it that envelops you. In two minds about it but definitely very unique
onjelbercier
Smelled like a nursery on my dad, baby wipes on my sister, and a car scent on me.
ph440_
'Satin' is an apt descriptor for this gorgeous powder fragrance - It's very delicate and smooth! The rose doesn't come out strongly at all, the notes blend smoothly with each other to create a lovely sweetness. The sillage and longevity are fantastic, so one should beware of overspraying as it can get cloying. I think it's a lovely everyday fragrance for women, it comes out more sweet than anything. Gotten plenty compliments on this one and have been told that I smell like Hichew!! LOL
Rachelle spier
Way too baby powder & mature for my liking. I smell the rose and Oud which I like but it’s just so powdery in the baby powder way (I like powdery when it’s a sweet violet or a nice orris root or iris). I just can’t get over the maturity - it smells appropriate for 50+ year olds to me. It is smooth and sophisticated but I was hoping for a different violet I guess.
Rober7a
First thought when I sprayed it was that this smells like leather. I didn't look at the notes before sampling it only expected some oud because of the name, but now I see rose is listed TWICE. Do Bulgarian and Turkish roses smell different from a regular rose? I barely detect any, this smells smoky, mysterious and cold. I'd wear this in warm conditions, as I feel it'd be too bleak during winter months, but this needs to be used gently as it can easily be oversprayed and overwhelm the nose. This is feels like a serious and mature scent, there is nothing playful about this, only people with sophisticated tastes will be able to appreciate this. I like the name 'satin' for this, it's apt how it is smooth but with a cool touch.
ForTheLoveOfFrag
After years of reading about the hype, I finally tried this, a manufacture's sample, and it was kind of disappointing. It wasn't what I was expecting after all the raves.
On my skin, this smells like a freshly laundered baby. I was just holding my baby niece after her bath a few weeks ago and as soon as I put this on, I was standing back in SIL house. It's strange, it doesn't smell like "baby powder" it smells like a freshly powdered baby, the top of the head. It strikes me as comforting and innocent, warm and not sexy. My hubby said it smelled like his Grandma but I disagree here.
If I liked powdery scents, this would probably be my signature though. It is beautifully crafted, it does not smell cheap, and it's a powerhouse in performance for sure. No way do I get the same impressions Demi does. Then again, I rarely do.
Strawbunny
This has become my signature scent for years. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT SO MUCH, and my friends always notice me when I'm wearing this and say that "your fragrance fill this room it smell so good"
This perfume is very very smooth and well blended, high quality, smells sweet but more like natural sweet vanilla. The oud in here not very prominent which is a good thing for me, it just give a little mature touch.
c0rtland
powdery vanillic rose oud. i used to dislike this fragrance, now i can't get enough. hard for a man to wear as i got told i smelled like a grandma. good thing i don't care.
Juicyvine
Ugh...oily baby powder. I don't smell rose or vanilla. Had to wash off my wrist right away, I couldn't even let it settle the odor was so gross to me.
Bvlgariman2010
Rose Violet Sensual Mood. Metallic hints with cotton candy hints. Powdery vanilla at times. Drop of oud. Good projection in the first hour. Needs more power. Develops into something very special on my skin in the cooler weather. Some smoky incense oud with violet and vanilla is like magic. It’s strong but I want it to be stronger. 😎 7.9/10

The first impression I got of this was that Delina Exclusif was based on a mix between this and the OG Delina, but then was better blended to round out the fragrance and become it’s own thing (btw, OSM and DE also layer great together)
This is delightful, the oud isn’t barnyard-y in the slightest, lasts forever, is creamy and powdery and nice.
On me, the rose in this lent it’s jammy qualities to the violet actually, and that, vanilla, and oud are, in this order, the standout notes in this fragrance on me. The rose itself disappeared quite a bit, which left me quite surprised. The violet is the star to me here. Rather than a sexy decadent fragrance that people usually describe oud/rose as, here the sexyness comes from the sheer undeniable elegance of it. It’s the very antithesis to overt sexy, and as beautiful as a sleek, silent and soft pawed predator stalking it’s prey. Elegant, beautiful, strong. It’s the type of fragrance to leave poets starstruck, to have you be their muse after but one night in your presence, the pillows smelling like you for days on end, and the thought of you lingering as much as the whiffs of this throughout the day. Elegance and effortlessness almost mystical in nature, but far from ethereal. It’s not up on a pedestal, but still so out of reach.
I think you can figure from this review that this is absolutely not an everyday scent haha
Special occasion only. Perfectly fitted outfit, not a single hair out of place, yet not over the top, this fragrance deserves a fit that compliments the effortless perfection it evokes, otherwise it will feel out of place. I can only hope that one day I shall become such a woman.
Not yet a buy for me, but by god do I recommend this.
sniffsmagee
Oud rose amber powdery blueberry in the opening which is enjoyable in itself but as it dries down to my nose the rose does something similar to portrait of a lady and the fragrance becomes fresher. Lovely
Myrtillajus
I'm always very wary of the rose/Oud combination. She's been overused lately, she's often smelled of and most of the time I don't like her.
Oud Satin Mood … is pure poetry. Oh yes,the rose here is fresh, full, slightly powdery, it is combined with violet which makes it even more elegant, it marries with a light, non-animal Oud of the highest quality, which rounds everything off and makes it extremely sexy. A crowd pleaser, absolutely. Obviously finished in wishlist. Absolutely Unisex, for all the moments you want.
I imagine it on a very elegant woman who leaves such a pleasant trail as she goes by that everyone turns around.

I am a big fan. It is great on it's own. But I also like to layer it with either Oud Edp (also MFK), or 540 Extract. Creates a different mood, tonality. Less sweet, more dark with Oud Edp. And more deliberate with 540 Extract.
alternateu
Candied, jammy, plasticky rose... not a fan.
I wanted a little more oud and less vanilla - unfortunately this is too creamy and jammy for it to be sexy in my opinion.
To each their own, and this is definitely "silky" in a sense.
R.diggity
A beautiful and subtle Oud that can work in warmer weather too. All notes are perfectly balanced. The rose is on the soapier synthetic side, which works perfectly. MFK does such a perfect job of balancing unisex fragrances.
OTA Mom
Being no oud fan in general, I put off trying this for too long. I shouldn't have, it's lovely. Oud plays a minor and gentle supporting role to the beautifully blended rose/violet combo. Vanilla with a touch if sweetness comes out in the drydown. This is a perfect evening event fragrance.

A Very Nice Mood
Every MFK fragrance I've tried has been a winner and this one is as well. I'm beginning to think I should just stock my shelf with Maison Francis Kirkdjian scents and give up on competitors, because seriously, this house has so few competitors. Roja, Killian's, Maison De Darius, maybe three or four others that come close. This scent is Oud done right. Strong, long lasting, rich, but not sinus singeing like Reminiscence Oud and some others, though honestly more often fragrances with "Oud" in the name don't smell like they have any Oud at all. This is definitely not one of those. Very Oudy in a pungent yet pleasant way. This will certainly get noticed, I think in a good way. We'll see what my hottie dental hygienist has to say in a few hours by which time this will have settled down a bit.
deguempe
Absolute perfection. THE sexy, intoxicating, intimidating evening fragrance. None of my perfumes ever get me compliments, but this one has strangers walking up to me to ask me what I'm wearing.
nostalgiaultra
When I first bought this, I hated it and stashed it in the back of my perfume cabinet to maturate. I eventually forgot about it, and it’s been a year since I’ve even tested it.
Today, I dabbed a little Nemat vanilla oil on the back of my hand and did a light spray, and I’m pleased to say my mind has been changed. The fragrance starts off with a strong blast of an incense and spiced oud with a hint of a sugared jammy rose. On the dry down, that wet and jammy rose becomes stronger and the Nemat oil only enhances the vanilla, which reminds me of a vanilla bean gelato without the lactonic creaminess. The fragrance lasted about 6-12 hours on me, and I could smell it faintly after showering.
As much as this is almost a love for me, it is limited to its application and wear. It could be too mature for some ages, and wouldn’t be appropriate to wear at work or during the summer and spring. I think this would be perfect for a winter or late fall date night, wedding, or any important formal event in someone’s life.
For a younger, college-aged woman or someone who simply doesn’t like oud, I’d probably recommend L’Extase Rose Absolute by Nina Ricci instead.
kokoma1009
I got a sample of this to test and immediately hated the initial spray.
However the magic is in the dry down. It's strong, sweet and warm. The oud here isn't the sickening type of oud. It's well done and keeps you longing for more. Non-linear, jammy rose, oud, vanilla, sophisticated and high quality.
It gives pretty middle eastern girl vibes. Very long lasting and makes a statement. You don't need to spray a lot so a full bottle will last a long time.
Oh and yes, I got a full bottle!
Whateverwhocares
Strong, smooth rose bomb mixed with an unusual, genuine oud. Accurate scent profile. Sort of a strong, background scent.
Definitely well named; this stuff is smooth as satin. The name says it all. An acquired taste.
Revontuli
The moment I sprayed this on my wrist yesterday, it felt like someone dropped a full-blast, beast-mode sweet rose with an oud background into my lap and the bomb exploded. It filled my nose, my lungs, my stomach and all my senses I didn't even know that I had.
I'm a T1 diabetic and I feel like my blood sugar is rising just smelling this.
This is indeed THE beast.
I can visualize a soft, delicate satin just washed, ironed and perfumed. It really gives that feeling when you smell this. Only the fabric is delicate, though. Not the perfume!
To me, this is not an oud-centred fragrance. I haven't tried the others from this line, but it's obvious. I also don't think this is Middle-Eastern oud, not at all. At least not on my skin. This is a sweet rose-vanilla fusion served on a thin, oud plate. If you are new to oud and want to start your journey with a whiff of it, this might be a good start.
If you are looking for a more traditional and potent rose-oud combination, this might not be the right choice. If you enjoy a drier combination, run away from this.
First impressions: I love rose; sweet to some extent with spices, amber and oud, but the sweetness of Satin Mood exceeds my limits.
tmonique11
It would take me a lifetime to get through this 70 ml bottle! This is beast mode Level 10 in projection, performance and sillage. I never go anosmic to it. It will smell it on skin all day until scrubbed off and on clothes until washed. That would be fantastic of the oud wasn't so.... oudy. To me, it's not a likable mild western oud (like Initio OFG or TF Oud Wood). This is a more serious eastern oud that is too legit to quit! Not barnyardy or skanky but definitely super dry and stoic. I don't get any sweetness here and I search for the vanilla in this blend, to no avail. This doesn't work on me and I keep trying to layer it with other things to force it. I layered it with Delina the other day and it worked wonders but I shouldn't need to work this hard to enjoy a perfume this expensive. Ultimately, I just sold it. I think it's better suited for a man in a formal, black tie setting.
Cristidarling6387
I typically HATE oud. I don’t know what made me want to try this since oud is in the name, but I’m so glad I did. This is beautiful. It’s important to not overspray with this one. Less is more. Sophisticated, warm, complex and a statement , yet simple. It’s a love for me!
nicholasmendez13
This was the first oud fragrance I tried when I was starting at at Sak's, and I remember loving the powder sweet richness of it at first. I had a sample and wore it a few times, again back when I was barely familiar with higher end scents. I can say it was nice on rainy nights when I wore it, but after finding the sample in a drawer the other day and trying it again just for kicks I recoiled at this ghastly, sickening perfume. To say this thing is nuclear is an understatement!! You literally only need half of one spray and everyone will smell you. It has this typical MFK synthetic undertone (although less than the freshies admittedly), and also extremely cloying. Buy PDM Layton Exclusif instead for the guys out there--much better scent and smells a lot more natural and classy. This one only works on a wet cold night for me. And even then I wouldn't wear it any more. It is that obnoxious to me now. The only perfume I sort of like from MFK is Grand Soir lol. Hard to mess up an amber. This is not a good house compared to PDM, Creed, Amouage, literally any other niche brand.
Trueblood84
Where to start with this one...This is one of the most unique fragrances in my collection. The best description I can come up with is like root beer with a base of baby lotion and nuances of very beautiful oud. It sounds eclectic but it truly works. My gf keeps sniffing me everytime I walk by and is continually complimenting me as well. The performance is excellent off my skin, I get 8 hours easily, with strong sillage and above average projection . Overall id give this a 9 out of 10. It's unique and luxurious but I'd warn you to sample first as I could see the powdery nuances coming across as polarizing for many.
SuperCleanOozy
We bought the 200ml for my father's 60th birthday...I had no idea perfume could smell like this. My father saw how in awe I was of this perfume and he generously gave me the massive decant gift that came along with the large bottle. I had never smelled, let alone owned or worn a fragrance like Oud Satin Mood before. I could not stop smelling my clothes from that night. It smelled like some sort of insanely rich and opulent turkish delight of roses, smooth resinous oud, and breathtaking vanilla. I wore it to work and people literally told me that my office and I smelled delicious! Within a month I got myself the 70mL bottle.
In a word, the dry down is heavenly. Performance is incredible, the sillage is serious enough to cut through a packed wedding hall with all manner of "Allure Homme Bored To Extreme" and "Who De Chanel?"
Oud Satin Mood started my journey, and will always be special to me.
The smell is to die for. It changed my life.
Francis Kurkdjian is a legend and this is 2nd only to Baccarat Rouge 540 in my humble collection of what I consider to be masterpieces.
Update: I had the honor of meeting Francis Kurkdjian and he graciously signed my bottles...the penmanship was especially nice on Oud Satin Mood!
samaisling
Best way I can describe this scent:
On the initial spray, like a few other fragrances from FK, I think I’ve made a huge mistake. I’m overwhelmed. A tiny headache is coming on. My eyes water briefly.
On the dry down, my opinion starts to change. I keep smelling my arm. Begin to realize that I think if I could find a way to have sex with myself, I would.
By hours 2, my entire personality has changed. My husband and I aren’t that serious anyway.
I still have no idea if I like this fragrance.
Proceed with caution 🤣😭
nepria
I want to start with a warning - this stuff is nuclear. And as I say this I mean eventually if you use this daily on your clothing, there comes a day when you do not have to even put this perfume again, because your clothing is just RADIATING this smell. You open your closet and all you can smell is THIS PERFUME. And, at that moment, if you would put more of this perfume on those clothes, you and people around you definitely won't be able to grasp fresh air, because they will be breathing OUD Satin Mood. And I am not sure if this is good for your health. People... The bottle will last you FOREVER because you need max 2 sprays for a whole 24h. And if this perfume gets on your hair.... good luck with that, because even after washing your hair, you will get hints of this. So I will put an end to this question of longevity and sillage by saying... ETERNAL.
The scent itself is gorgeous, more for a late evening or fall/winter season, and in my opinion this scent has to be worn in the darker hours of the day. Definitely not office friendly and not for a casual day. This puts you in the mood. And by saying 'mood' I mean - sensual, a bit erotic but definitely not in a vulgar way, more in this siren-like, hypnotic, and a bit trippy. It creates this mysterious aura around you.
It is sweet but there is not even a hint of cheap sweetness. It is a very luxurious scent, very well blended, there are no sharp notes, everything feels smooth, finished, the oud is perfectly complemented by vanilla, personally, I can hardly sense rose notes here, because the vanilla note is more prominent. Here oud perfectly creates this deep, sinking, dark feeling. It is in no way a light cheerful scent. It's extatic, mysterious and very very alluring.

This one is a Gem. Oud Satin Mood is one of the most beautiful fragrances my nose and brain have ever experienced. Sure, there are similar perfumes on the market; however, I have yet to find one that comes even close to this masterfully blended beauty. I tend to go for the sweeter, fruity, and jammy rose fragrances. Oud Satin Mood is neither. It is a gorgeous, realistic rose; paired with a soft, lightly sweetened vanilla; a luxurious, powdery, smooth-like-satin violet; and, an easy on the nose oud. This fragrance is classy, elegant, sophisticated, and sexy. If Oud Satin Mood were a song; it would be a classic.

One of the rose oud combination masterpieces, and I say this because it is distinct yet easily likable and wearable. When I first smelled this ages ago, I was not accustomed to the smell of oud, and it had that pencil shavings smell to me. Regardless, I fell in love and bought it immediately.
I can't wrap my head around what kind of sorcery MFK is using. This is such a dark and delicious scent, yet it NEVER gets too heavy, headache inducing, or difficult to handle regardless of it being quite long lasting with decent sillage. There are days where my condition isn't to its fullest- in which case I would avoid dark or heavy perfumes- but I never quite seem to find Oud Satin Mood too much to handle.
It is a slightly syrupy rose with velvety touches, wrapped in oud. Smells almost like a dessert, but not at all too sweet or cloying in any way. It kind of has a dewy finish to it, the scent almost feels like tasty water (even with the slightly velvet and powdery texture) which is exactly what prevents it from feeling too heavy and gives it such a sophisticated character. It shouts I'm the prominent presence in this room without actually making the effort or being tacky. The natural and effortless elegance just exudes this confidence and aura that people would find themselves drawn to. Oud Satin Mood is definitely a scent more for a fancy setting.

Something about this is very nauseating to me, it's just so dense and sweet. My girlfriend said that it to her smelled like how she imagined "a microwaved condom" would smell (and it does have some kind of rubber-like scent). Not something for me

This is quite different from the stereotypical oud-- it's refined to a polished sheen, sweet and feminine. Not a rose fan, but I love the rose in here.

I'm not sure why this is hyped so much. To me this is just a powdery rose scent; and, honestly, it's just ok. There are other Middle Eastern scents that blow this away. I'm looking at you Safari Extreme...

Oud Satin Mood is my second niche experience. I tested it in Harvey Nichols and it wore ALL day long. It is so, so rich and smooth, but far too sweet for me.
I do get the rose quite strongly; I'm not yet sure if I like rose in perfumery, as I still have an inexperienced nose and am learning about what I like. I'm not very experienced with oud, so I can't comment on whether this is a good oud-based scent or not.
It is sweet, powdery ( like a rich baby powder) and, yes, like the rose you might associate with Turkish delight.
Impressed with its longevity and quality, but it's just too sweet and started to irritate me after a few hours.

I had a high expectiation for this but first attempt was a disappointment. I've received a 2 ml decant and sprayed one on my chest and one on my arm and quickly hit by the same rose as in Tom Ford's Noir De Noir. Here in Turkey women use rose water to remove their make up and it smells unpleasent for me. So in both perfumes I get the same type of rose.
This is also very powdery comparing Noir De Noir. I like powderyness but nothing fancy in this one.
We have a baby shampoo called Dalin, both me and wife swear that we get the same smell (plus rose water) from my skin for next five hours. At fifth hour little bit of vanilla starts to appear while the projection abruptly increased! for an hour or two, then becomes skin scent around 8th hour.
Wife said she can try this on her and maybe finish the decant. This is no way for men.
I've tried many of his perfumes this is the only perfume that has no Kukrdjian DNA in it.
