Narciso Rodriguez For Her L'Absolu by Narciso Rodriguez is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Narciso Rodriguez For Her L'Absolu was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Aurelien Guichard. Top notes are Tuberose and Jasmine; middle note is Musk; base notes are Patchouli, Amber and Sandalwood.

In September 2015, Narciso Rodriguez launches the new version of its popular fragrance Narciso Rodriguez for Her from 2003. For Her L'Absolu is a new incarnation of this musky scent, deeper and more seductive, designed for a woman who is strong and passionate.

“The idea for l’absolu was to create an extremely special fragrance with an air of mystery that will endure. For Her L’Absolu embodies the ultimate femininity with a pure grace."—Narciso Rodriguez.

The composition contains intense floral accords of tuberose and jasmine absolute, the signature musk heart and the base of amber and woody tones of patchouli and sandalwood.

Model Carmen Kass was selected to be the face again. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. It comes in a bottle of the original design, colored in a dark burgundy nuance.

Lol. I read reviews below about how at first spray the smells like death, but you have to get past it. I tried it for the first time today, and thought it was absolutely freaking beautiful! And so I thought why am I thinking it smells so good? So I took the bottle out smelled my arm in many places, and found a spot that didn't have any scent. I tried it there. Oh my God. There it is.

Death. LOL

Why was it so beautiful earlier? THINKING...

Oh, HA. I figured out that I had sprayed it over top of Replicas By The Fireplace from a bottle that had been well macerated and very sweet and vanilla like and hardly smokey now at all. So the two TOGETHER were simply amazing, almost Tresor le Nuit like.
NOT SURE HOW it smelled fruity, but I'll totally wear these together again. :). BTFP goes so well with so many things. It's amazing. I even use BTFP With V&R Good Fortune Elixir and the smoke just really adds to the depth of it and really makes it bloom and so sexy..

Anyway, back to the review of Narciso Rodriguez L'absolu,, it is VERY dark and it is very much a MUSK forward and non-crowd-pleasing scent. But I am not getting rid of this bottle!

Because it is insanely good with well macerated BTFP underneath!!! OMG 😱.

Delicious

flashpapas

This is a dark😈 and sensual 🫦✨masterpiece.

Don’t judge it by the top notes, give it 5 - 10mins then the magic happens. The floral musky patchouli and sandalwood base notes are everything and more.

The Bottle Is Amazeballs!!!

Jen'sPassion

It's the original's mysterious older sister. She's dazzling, daring and delicious - but it's NARCISO"s darkest most complex fragrances. I adore it, but it's not what one would call a crowd pleaser ...

Lamiawitipo

The first 20 minutes it smells like death, it is literally reminiscent of funerals and melancholy but then it settles down to the most sensual and dreamy creamy florals, beautifully mature. Not to everyone's liking sure but definitely one of the most beautiful and unique creation of the brand before it fell into the mass appealing trend. So bad it is gone.

drugstore classics

I am often late to the party with regard to fragrance and cosmetic releases..... Here is another instance of my discovering a lovely scent only after it is discontinued. Perhaps it's better for my budget that this is the case! Even so, I am here to tell you that L'Absolu is a tempting variation on the Narciso DNA. I admire the original. But it grates on me - something is overt and sickening on my particular chemistry. This one Works - and works beautifully. It smells tasteful, refined, womanly, alluring, and even rather comforting, dare I say it.

Yes, musk/patchouli/woody floral has been done often enough with success (Natori, for instance), but here the notes just play particularly well with my chemistry. That's what it all boils down to in the end. Chemistry. I prefer to prefer Natori, haha. Both the price point and the bottle are more appealing to me personally. But, no. L'Absolu smells better on my skin. As this is seldom the case - drugstore classics being my forte! - I am surprised and a little amused at myself. This is a good scent, but not the end of all things.

But please to understand:

Quite apart from exotic naturals or outstanding vintages, the average scent release of today is not necessarily better at one price point than another. How expensive a scent smells is largely to do with your skin chemistry and associations, not the price tag.

There, I said it. ;) Now I can go enjoy the rest of my sample with abandon!

alternateu

nice - very dark, indolic, skanky-musky white florals. sexy. fairly good longevity - can smell it on my clothes at the end of the day (not on my skin). i personally LOVE the skank, it's sexy without any pretense of professionalism, and avoids the overly synthetic-sugary-sweet vibe that many perfumes default to in an attempt to be sexy.

joikgirl

I got this bottle from a friend. Went to her house, saw it on the shelf and was shocked to see it and she said "take it." She herself hated it/never used it.
I have been looking around to find this bottle, just to smell it and this was kind of a lottery win for me.

The first hit is really strong jasmine/tuberose and patchouli and immediately I can smell liquorice, which I HATE. It may be because it is an older bottle by this point but it goes away in few minutes. The dry down is a dark musky jasmine that a grandmother would wear but I LOVE IT. Very much a winter/fall fragrance. On clothes it stays for a long time.

A beautiful white floral scent and an amazing bordeaux coloured bottle.

valentina.marini

Syrupy, sweeter, linear version of the OGs. here there's no evolution, the dry down is what you get when you first spray it, just lighter. I like it, it's of course well done, longevity is good, but nothing groundbreaking.

LSAUG

A headache inducing synthetic jasmine/patchouli bomb w/ a detergent musk. Smells like bad drier sheets. A hard no.

Edit: Trying to give these perfumes I hated so much another shot and it is not working out. This is just really bad. Very synthetic, and unpleasant. Like a bad smelling floral dryer sheet got mixed up w/ sugary fruity notes and patchouli. I'm still shocked at this lines popularity. Also, I have heard that the short cubes are a "clean" musk, and the tall bottles are a more "animalic" musk. Now I agree w/ that but here is the thing, w/ the tall bottles it is the same musk as the cubes, but the perfumer just added some synthetic animalic notes on top of that same musk. Like he/she sprinkled them on top. It just smells cheap, plastic, and unfinished. Every fragrance I have tried from this line is a cheaply done unfinished mess that I wouldn't use as an air freshener.

shannfernando

Definitely a Chypre! Very very womanly. Although I say womanly, a man can definitely wear this as its very unisex. By womanly, I mean, a woman who wears this damn well knows she's a killer! She gets things right 10/10 everytime. She leaves no stones unturned. All her t's are teed up, and i's are dotted!

It's very punchy. I mean literal punch. Like a cherry punch with wine! Just like the bottle! I'm shocked to see there are no deep berry notes here as it's very detectable. It's sweet, but not in a vanillic way. But in a sweet, tart, forest berry type of way.

The musk here... it purrs. It's the most animalic musk in this entire range and is possibly why it got discontinued! People like inoffensive white floral-vanilla-white musks so much that companies no longer dare to stand out. Such a shame!

But yes, this isn't for the faint of heart. This is the sexiest of the entire for her line. Albeit the for her tag, this one, is for everyone.

Stunner and a must try, even if you don't buy it.

Marlene12

If anyone is interested i have a full bottle for sale on mercari under user name Marly TIA

BougieGirlShops

This is NR For Her EDT (black bottle) that is sweeter/creamier and animalic. The classic NR musk is also not as prominent. I am not a fan of animalic musks and am quite sensitive to it so to others it may not be as bothersome.

Kiwigoddess

This is an absolute jasmine bomb in the opening. Smells exactly like when I would walk behind the Indian ladies with the beautiful fresh garlands adorning their hair in Singapore. As beautiful as jasmine smells, it is extremely strong and as I learnt from the many experiences of walking behind someone wearing all those fresh flowers, it can be headache inducing. So too could it be with the big dose of it in the opening of this fragrance. It is very loud initially so would not recommend wearing this to the office unless you want to potentially give everyone a migraine. That being said, the dry down is really beatiful and even a little bit sexy. The projection and sillage are decent, and the fragrance can still be detected on the skin the next morning (12+ hours), so great longevity.

Bouquet Bleu

I am rewriting my review because this perfume has grown on me and has been so different throughout the times of the year.
Put shortly it is like Narciso Rouge edp with more tuberose, animalic, amber and patchouli.
Or like the evening version of Gucci Flora profumo di fiori (yellow bottle).
Long story: it is cold in winter and lacks some warmth, the warmth and flowery sweetness show up more in springtime. It is sensual for a chilly summer night but too animalic and cloying for summer. For autumn it is too floral imo. If you already own Rouge and dont want a big collection you can skip this, but if you are a NR fan it is a good keeper, but you must love tuberose as it is heavy on it.

Brooklynjade

Love at first sniff. Purchased solely based on the notes. I love patchouli, and knew that Narciso Rodriguez would craft something special, and I was right. This is sultry. And dark. And elegant. And sooo expensive smelling (like all Narciso’s). It opens with an almost medicinal/mint that lingers on paper, but dissipates within 5 mins on skin. Then, gorgeous sweet tuberose and jasmine take shape along side patchouli. With hints of sandalwood and amber, peeking in and out.

The musc here is not powdery in nature, but more animalic, in the most elegant way possible. More so for use in the fall and winter months for sure, it would likely be too heavy for warmer days. Leans more feminine, but a man could wear it. Great longevity like all my Narciso’s.

It has been discontinued, so I will have to hoard a back up bottle or 3.

hausofdarlingperfumier

I was at a local charity shop and saw this perfume, I have never tried #narciscorodriguezparfums before so I had to get it.
I am satisfied that I purchased #forherlabsolu as it is a beautiful concoction. The bottle is lacquered in a jammy, deep and Boudreaux-colored hue of purple, my favorite. It is also beautiful how the color is encased inside the glass and it creates a beautiful illusion. At first spray, I smell intense tuberose dancing with absolute jasmine and as the florals unfurled their petals, a clean and sensuous amber musc develops. I am the rich aunt sitting upon her marble encased Boca Do Lobo Versailles sofa. The musc in the juice keeps the perfume from being sweet and the sandalwood and patchouli keep a mature and modern feel. I do smell a note that reminds me of my grandmother Molly and the musc sillage she would leave behind and that touches my heart. I am going to explore NR more as this was a great first meeting. Thank you, Aurelien.

iRiSOnHoliday

a moment of grace in a fragrance
a modern chypre in which the sensual musc is enveloped in an absolute of jasmine

TheSweaterGirl

I am super grateful The Perfumed Court still offers samples, I was was considering blind buying this. This is not at all what I was hoping for.

Something funky, and as someone below put it “off putting” in the opening. I do find that weird aspect passed within 20 minutes, but then you get a strong white floral bouquet. After 2 hours I find it is fading despite a heavy application. At this point the florals receded and some musk came through.

Not at all like the For Her EDP which is all shampoo cleanness to me. I didn’t like For Her EDP either but find it an easier to wear scent than this is. Sadly I haven’t liked any NR fragrances I’ve tried yet. Musc Noir smelled nice, but performance was so poor it isn’t worth buying. Maybe this just isn’t a house that works for me. I have a sample of Pure Musc yet to try. Here’s hoping it isn’t a flop too😅

Love! This is the NR for Her EDP: night edition. Somewhat darker, richer than the pink bottle, and absolutely intoxicating. The same clean musk throughout, which prevents this parfum from becoming sickly or syrupy. Disagree strongly with the comments that it's "dirty" or "skanky" -- it makes me feel fresh and confident, day or night. Long lasting, especially on clothes.

LeSucreRose

Something in the initial spray is off putting, but I LOVE the rest. It's a beautiful, soft white floral. I'll just make sure to spray this 15 minutes before leaving the house. I also wish it had greater projection like the For Her EDP / EDT, but still very nice. Glad to have been able to purchase a full bottle at a reasonable price before it becomes too scarce.

lulami

Of all the NR perfumes that I own, I find this one the most comforting. It's heavy on musc and white flowers and it lingers for days on clothes, even though the sillage is not that great and it tends to stay close to the skin. This is a very balanced composition, sweet but not sugary, though sweeter than the other NR For her, sexy but not vulgar, dark but shimmery. I've worn it mainly in the cold months since I've bought it and I have a feeling this is a bit too cloying for the hot weather. I'm so glad I found a bottle of Absolue given that it's discontinued and I've always received compliments while I had it on.

Tolkashutka

I kept hearing the term "whorish" / "sensual" / "sexual" thrown around with this perfume.

NR For Her EDT has been my signature for a hot minute, and is just the kind of thing that gets me going. Needless to say, I was super excited for a supposedly even more sensual flanker, and I blind bought a full size without sampling.

I was not a fan of the way the patchouli and tuberose played together. I didn't get any of the Dr. Pepper vibes (which is sacred fluid, here in Texas), but instead some sort of "sticky" / "syrupy" kind of vibe like @sria described.

I feel like the older I get, the less into white florals I'm becoming--I thought that was supposed to be the other way around? Oh well. I swapped it away a month or so ago, and have zero regrets.

nauditaolivia

It's a love hate relationship. When I sprayed it on my skin, I don't really like it because it's very strong and powdery. But it later develop into something sensual, more appropriate for night time. Kinda sad to see it discontinued, but I don't think I'm gonna buy a second bottle either. But overall, this is a really nice perfume.

Kuty22

Jasmine and Tuberose?
Sign me up for it

bintTapputi

At this point in my perfume journey I basically adore anything with jasmine or tuberose. Sad to see it discontinued, I would have bought this in an instant. 7.5/10

sria

I have Narciso for her EDT, for her EDP, and for her l’absolu.

I find EDT to stand its own, whereas the EDP and L’absolu feel similar.

EDT my most loved of the three is an enthralling airy freshness interlaced with sweetness from the vanilla and flower and musk. It is outrageous how beautiful and sensual it is. If I had a signature probably this would be it.

EDP and L’absolu, although attractive, I find are for the more mature, serious, and prim and proper. I feel this would suit my mother more. I would feel like I am trying too hard to fit the persona that these perfumes signal. At drydown these are less airy, quite powdery, unfortunately not as fresh as I would like, and even smell oily. The opening of both of these are quite intense and unpleasantly sharp and downright revolting - need to be very patient to enjoy this. And you need to enjoy powdery and demure to like these. EDP is more comforting powdery whereas L’absolu is in same vein with a little more syrupy texture. For powdery musk I would rather enjoy my Narciso poudree, which is also more approachable than these two.

I am more into the EDT- it has a lot more presence. To my nose, EDT is not similar to either of the two.

Edit: I am wearing NR L'absolu today. I am finding more nuance in it. More than powdery there is a raw floral oily syrupy texture - not sweet but somewhat carnal adult connotations without any explicit suggestion. Definitely not easy to like but Intriguing I must say!

Edit 2: EDP is seriously growing on me. L'absolu seems a mixture of EDP and EDT. HAVE GROWN TO LOVE ALL THREE

IndigoEye

I wore this a couple or summers ago and enjoyed it so, when I saw that it had been discontinued and noticed a bottle on sale from a big department store, I grabbed it. Still lovely.
Certain scents produce a honeyed effect on me - I have noticed it in Sisley Soir de Lune, Tom Ford Noir de Noir, Atelier Cologne Café Tuberosa and Narciso Rodriguez l'Absolu. These scents are otherwise different enough from one another but I think there is some interplay between the florals and patchouli which throws up this honeyed effect. Anyway, I just thought I'd share in case you had noticed the same and wanted more!
Tuberose and Patchouli haters need not worry, as the notes are well-blended here but there is more going on in this that the Black and Pink bottled For Her which I found nice but lacking a little something. This says more about my strong preference for oriental and/or woody scents and I am more satisfied with Absolu because it is deeper and seems to have a dark-fruited note.
I find this very enjoyable and versatile.

Bouquet Bleu

I only smell makeup scent. Beautiful but barely there. It must be a bad batch or expired bc disontinued. No sillage at all. Bought at a department store, I am writing to NR to ask more info.

Edit: The fragrance is tricky. Needs some humidity as a carrier in the air to develop. Once it does, it is a beautiful creamy sweet-non edible white flower juice, with a tiny drop of sourness. I smell most tuberose and surprisingly creamy white irises, a hint of amber. Sensual and beautiful but not obnoxious. Rather close to skin. Nice staying power on clothes but not on skin.

Dissolved_Mind

Desperately looking for a bottle, if anybody has one that they don't want please lmk! I'm afraid most listings you see online are for fake version

fragrancemusing

This is a very assertive and feminine fragrance. Very intoxicating, with a heavy focus on florals and patchouli. It's either you like it or you don't. More appropriate for night time, cooler weather.

Swann

This is fantastic.... I feel like I’m lying in a garden full of white flowers on a cool day..... Sensual, sexual and intense musk!
Just my favorite in this narciso fragrance...

SoftWisdom

A few years ago, it was the 4th of July and I was in Hawaii watching a fireworks show. I happened to be wearing For Her L'Absolu, and as I was walking home after the show I picked up a plumeria bloom that had fallen from a tree and noticed how it smelled almost exactly like my perfume! So, although L'Absolu has tuberose, I always associate it with plumeria and my old neighborhood that had lots of plumeria trees. This is the only Narciso I've smelled so far that I enjoy; it's deep, a little sexy with the patchouli, and I think it's very playful and fun. Good for a night out if you want to feel girly and a little daring. Lasts awhile and large sillage that will get you noticed but pleasant to most noses, not offensive at all and very feminine.

JaneVanDerWoodsen

I blind bought this because I love Narciso frags. I learned a lesson to never blind buy again. This perfume is loud, dated, synthetic. It smells like patchouli and lipstick. I was hoping for a sexy, musky, floral Narciso but I’m left with disappointment, insane buyers remorse, and a bottle of juice I won’t use and can’t return.

samiam

Normally, I like Narciso. I was excited to try as a blind buy. Like the color of the bottle. Expecting something good, turned into disappointment on first use. Didn’t jive with my chemistry, rather loud and offensive. Never experienced this with this brand. Will try again and let you know if different. Maybe it’s better during another season- Spring, Summer. Fall didn’t bode well.

Nurses04.

Some fragrances are sweet and sexy, some deep and mysterious others are sensual and inviting but this is all of the above with a sprinkling of becoming erotic. Can I say that? - it is after all only a perfume! A white floral, softly animalic, sweet musc. Great for moments of passion or maybe a fuel to try and ignite the flame...

Wwoman

Wow! This smells amazingly good on me. My body chemistry tends to throw some scents off - I often end up with pickles or burnt plastic. But not this one - it really is divine. I adore tuberose and that comes through, but it's also very warm and luxurious smelling. Not too musky, but just enough to give it depth. I can't discern a lot of spice from patchouli, so I think it's the tuberose and amber that are making me love it. I'm sad that it is discontinued, as it truly is lovely. Lasts well too, with good sillage.

nordhaul

Smells really really good! Love this line

MoJo_JoJo

Very unique and intriguing. The scent definitely matches the color of the bottle. This smells spicy, dark, rich and fruity. Almost like a spice scented potpourri in a simmering pot with Dr. Pepper instead of water. Very hard to accurately explain as what my nose picks up is completely different from the notes that are listed. It becomes a little less spicy and more powdery as the dry down continues.

seromoni

Meh! I don't like it. Generally in my opinion poor scent.. not intense like other brand's.And this fragrance seems outdated scent to me.I regretted making a blind purchase..same NR for her edt. Additionally it is unisex..men can use.I am 46 years old.I remind you that there are more beautiful scents on the market for my peers.

A.Lavieenrose

A complete blind buy for me. I mostly grabbed it because I heard that it was discontinued and saw it online at a good price. So far, not sure how I feel about it. I think if you're a fan of the Narciso For Her line, you will like this one...the DNA is there. However, if you're a fan of the cube line, you may want to to re-consider blind buying.
I was expecting a very tuberose dominant scent, rich, and a little green with notes of warm amber and sandalwood surrounded by the signature musk. Instead, I find that L'absolu is extremely perfumey...to the point that I can't smell particular notes that well. I don't get tuberose, or jasmine, or sandalwood in the way that I do with other fragrances. Here, they are so blended into each other that they are almost unrecognizable individually; they merge together to form a new kind of scent entirely. The only recognizable note to my nose is the Narciso musk, from the original For Her, which is not as "creamy" as the musk in the cube bottles to me...it is a little bit drier. Narciso L'absolu reminds me of dark red waxy old-school lipstick, in terms of imagery and texture. It is thick, bold, and classic in a timeless way. If it were a drink, it would be some sort of cherry flavoured liqueur.
Edit- I've worn this a little more now and it's growing on me. The scent is still new to my nose, but as I wear it more often, I find that I am able to smell the tuberose, the jasmine and the amber a little better now. It's become sweeter to my nose and warmer, and much more pleasant. I still think that it is a very unique one if you're not familiar with the For Her line, (this is my only bottle from it) and it might take some wear time for the nose to become familiar with it.
Edit- I love it. Couldn't be happier with my blind purchase.

GabbieSmithWindley

At first blast on my skin, this smells like NR for Her EDT and Mugler Alien had a baby. At the dry-down, you get a lil bit of that lipstick smell, but it's like a fruity lipstick you'd find at Claire's. It smells somewhat 'plastic' which I thoroughly enjoy in many perfumes, but I'm not sure yet if I like it in this one.

petitphilip

I've heard this has been discontinued? is this true? omg if you see it you must grab it right away, I used to have other Narciso for her but I gave them away only keep this l’absolu. It’s very sexy, mysterious and magical, I think it would be a sexy witch or wizard would wear in the 21st century. You will get the tuberose at the beginning and then the musk and patchouli come out and combine everything together by a magic spell. Definitely definitely recommend it.

scensitive

sweet and spicy with all over wafting. great for a lunching cafe pop over in jeans with bangles.

Sabretoothkitten

I like the original MR For Her( both edp and edt) but not something I reach for often. It's a bit strong for my taste, the musk especially.
This version is my favorite so far( the floral one being #2). It's still softly musky but more shimmering than glaring. It's got lovely florals and slightly woodsy notes. It's more elegant and ladylike. Less woodsy
I get more orange blossom for some reason than either riverside or jasmine, which can be headachy for me but not in this case.
Overall is recommend this as a start to someone who wants to put their toes in the NR line. The bottle is a gorgeous bloodstone color.

sarah.brooks.1

The Lady is here... there's something very sexy about this parfum..And I've noticed that the nose behind this beautiful parfum all of his creations for narciso Rodriguez have depth ..

evapap181977

for many years i had for her edp as one of my regulars until i discover AP classic .very similar but for my taste...better plus more affordable.recently i got Narciso...elegant and classy.but something is missing..so out of the blue i saw this here ..curious enough i read several reviews..half positive half negative situation..so i ordered it thinking that since it s NR it would be decent like ESSENCE in the worst scenario.it turned to be one of my best blind buys.an amazing and one of the most balanced scents i ve smell.for me is the child of NR for her with NR Narciso.it has very good projection for about 3 hours on my skin and then becomes softer but long lasting.i agree with a review said that it smells sex..i do find it the sexiest in the line.i must get another one soon..it is one of these scents i want to have in stock

ridgel

The notes above are accurate. First white flowers, and then amber with a little patchouli and sandalwood mixed in. The tuberose stays throughout and develops into something animalic and fruity with that amber and patch. The smell is magnetic, I will wear this on cooler nights going out. I think the color of the bottle matches the smell, dark purply. Longevity is poor if you're looking to wear this all day, but would be perfect for a night out about 4hrs.

jensyr

Absolutely my cup of tea! This gem was in sale, and think they have discontinued this one! WHY GOD WHY? I find perfect signature and dont find it anymore any shop! This is mystical, just love tuberose and patchouli combo for this one. Its like my own scent but much better! This make me feel like I am the perfect smelling woman like no-one else could be. Im the queen with this strong smelling, sexy and mysterious scent and others are just princess with their airy light water scents. Yes, Im really the best smelling woman on earth. Thats not a lie :-)

churinl

This is just gorgeous! Narciso Rodriguez makes perfumes that are in every way comparable with more exclusive and expensive niche brands. This starts off almost exactly like For Her EDT, with a sharp blast of NR's telltale musk - little dirty and a lot of sexy! After several minutes, L'absolu begins to distinguish itself from the EDT with a sweetness from the tuberose. The tuberose is not overbearing, just clean, creamy and non-indolic, a great counterpoint to both the musk and the patchouli. I struggle with patchouli, and in my opinion, it has ruined several fragrances I might otherwise like. But this patchouli is not medicinal, nor overly earthy. It's just smooth and sexy. The silage can be potent so do not overspray this one or it could be suffocating. The longevity is decent, becoming more of a skin scent after about 2 hours. Depending on my mood, L'absolu comes almost neck and neck with my favorite Narciso - the eponymous one in the white cube. I think that this is more appropriate for the evening, but I would also recommend it any time seduction is on the menu! ;)

katrinawhitney

Okay this was a blind buy (off the premise of really enjoying the NR line as well as having a tuberose obsession). This just arrived on my doorstep, first sprays impression: NR for her with a lipstick vibe.. something reminding me of actual sex (maybe that’s the “animalic” aspect).. the color this makes me think of is black. Unsure how I feel thus far, will update.

I hate patch and i hate tuberose ....but omg this is one of the most sexiest fragrances I have ever smelled! This is dark and seductive, and as one reviewer said below: a perfect brunette scent. I imagine a vintage vixen with dark hair and red lipstick wearing this...very gothic and extremely sensual.

proly

how much weighs an empty 50 ml bottle ?

philiptruong2112

Blind buy this, at first I didn't like it, I thought it was just another musk of Narciso for her. But guys, this is growing on me, the tuberose and musk with patchouli underneath made this fragrance gorgeous, I can't stop smelling my wrist for the whole day! However, the longevity and sillage are very very weak, you would need to reapply this during the day!

obar6084

A totally unrelated flanker as this is tuberose and jasmine, because I find the FOR HER line is more centered on rose and musk and with just a slight nuances to make them a bit different from each other. On initial spray the tuberose hits you and if you are not a tuberose lover, this will slightly repel you but hold on for just a few minutes this will be tempered by sweet jasmine (thank God it is not the indolic kind)and of course, THE MUSK. By the time the amber and sandalwood show up this turns creamy and velvety almost like a souffle and dry down is almost delectable.

Kon-nos91

Well, I am an official Narciso Rodriguez fan. I am wondering how I didn't come in contact with such nice creations/perfumes earlier. The truth is that it's all about a specific person and musk.

Don't let the name L'absolu to confuse you. It's such a light and delicate, yet present perfume. If I can say something for NR perfumes is that they smell exactly like the color of their bottles. Here we have a perfume that smells like mystery, warm hugs, the word familiar is a nice one you can use, it's like the feeling when you rest in a hug of your mother, best friend, lover, you choose.

Dry tuberose that isn't heavy or green-floral, whispers from patchouli/jasmine that give a body, the perfect amount of amber and sandalwood that give this light spiciness and of course all in the hug of the star, musk. It could be named L'eau de Narciso as to me is like a very simplified, less complex and present version of the original for her EDP. Don't expect something amazing, at least for me other editions of the house are magic but expect something you wanna gift, something you wanna smell and be protected from. If there's one perfume that has similar vibes is Pure Poison EDT from Dior, but the very first one w/o spray, again dark plummy colored bottled. Just try it if you find it cause unfortunately it's not available anymore. It can't offend anyone and it's not as mature as the Poison mentioned above.

Jacquis

Starts off with floral tuberose but quickly transforms to a creamy, musky, dense and warm fragrance. Very good performance which lasts a long time on my skin and clothes. This fragrance forms a cloud of goodness around me and continuously wafts musky flowers at me. It does not project very far but definitely has great silage which lingers long after you've left the room. A little goes a long way. 1 spray in the front and 1 in the back. Though L'absolu smells unique, it does give me a similar feeling as Dior Addict 2014 and L'Instant de Guerlain. I apply this perfume a little further down on my body because it can be very heady. Very unique fragrance which I'll have and enjoy for years to come. My husband also likes it on me.

Lazzarwa

NR For Her l'Absolu is a beautiful blend of creamy tuberose and musk with a touch of sweetest. This one is very sexy, indeed!

Sadly the fragrance doesn't last for more than 2 or 3 hours on my skin. Funny how it can differ from one person to another.

Waltzing Matilda

A very lovely floral with excellent lasting power. I'm not picking up on the tuberose though. Lovely weighty bottle. The more I wear it, the more I love it. Thanks a million to MoreScentsThanDollars for the opportunity to try this one. .

Sherine777

To my nose the tuberose is muffled by the musk it's not a green lush tuberose. The opening is a bit 'in your face' but wait.. it keeps mellowing and mellowing over the hours to a superb flowery muskiness, simply divine.

What can I say, I've worn out the back of my hand sniffing it for 10 hours.

Longevity is outstanding! This is well worth the price as you only need a single spray to last you the whole day.

Konga5000

This is still the "high class whore" of my collection. LOL. Nothing has surpassed it yet! My fave Narciso !

ishouldbebetterthanthis

There's a part in A Fish Called Wanda where John Cleese says to Jamie Lee Curtis: "You're the sexiest, most beautiful girl I have ever seen. In my entire life."

That's what I just said to this perfume.

rouge1

Blind buy of 3.3oz bottle online when I heard it was being discontinued. Possibly one of the worst fragrances ever. Gave it away, not worth my time returning or exchanging it.

TrixieGrace

This is the first NR that is not a love for me. I get a very strong lipstick, old-time boudoir powder scent, which is OK if that is what you like, but not for me. The drydown is a bit better as the sandalwood and amber show thru, but I still get the lipstick/powder. Just not my preference. I do love all the other NR’s I’ve tried, all except Rouge, haven’t tried that one..

MWROMO

What a fragrance...sexy, pungent and very sensual.
At first there is a hit of patchouli and tuberose, then it settle down to this amazing scent of amber and sandalwood....what a beauty. This fragrance is all about its dry down and how well balanced it is... just perfection.
Long lasting with good silage.

Alces Alces

Whooooaaaaa.

So nice.

I get the resemblance to Lovely and to the other Narciso Rodriguez scents, but this is so, so, so much better.

Sometimes I get tuberose; then patchouli; then musk. But they are all so beautiful together.

L'Absolu is what all the other Narcisos WISH they had the guts to be...it's their dark side...it's what they all want to dress as on Halloween.

This is tuberose being born with a patchouli caul.

LadyIva

My initial impression on NR L'absolu For Her (as well as several other fragrances from this line, e.g. Fleur Musc) wasn't so great - namely I dismissed L'absolu it as a tuberose overkill. However, I decided to test-wear it for a while, suspecting that it might eventually grow on me - and, that's exactly what happened.
After a weirdish opening, this quickly settles into a powerful musky tuberose with hints of patchouli and jasmine. It projects magnificently and stays on my skin for at least 6 hours. It is not overly similar to other scents from the NR line, because these mighty white florals are so dominant here. If anything, L'absolu reminds me of how the 1980s smelled like! I was just a girl at the time when women used to wear the original Dior Poison, Cacharel LouLou (created by Aurelien Guichard's father, Jean Guichard) and other tuberose bombs... Somehow, NR L'absolu has awakened my long-dormant olfactory memories of that era of incredibly perfumey perfumes. It's not the first time that Aurelien Guichard was inspired by his father's work. So, if you used to love the original Poison or LouLou, this fragrance should work for you.

babydoĺlxix

My all time favorite perfume is the NR for Her EDP. I purchased a decant of L'absolu thinking I would like it just as much. Upon first spray I was hit with a very fishy smell. It was very off putting, I don't know what happened there. I tried sniffing the atomizer and I could really smell that fishy aroma so I'm sure it's not a reaction with my skin. I let it sit on my skin and it did get a bit tolerable as time went on but that initial smell will forever haunt me.

pasha

I'm surprised to see so many ppl collecting a very dominant tuberose note in this one... Well I don't.

I like my tuberose ripe, green and thick. Suffocating, arrogant and un-meddled. This one is very musk heavy, as to be expected from NR, and thick with fuzzy patchouli. There is a sweet and inviting floral quality in it, but hardly a straight up and down colossal tuberose pulling its weight throughout the composition, crushing everything else on its path.

It is quite non-descript imo.

Gorgeous gorgeous potion, but I like my tuberose to do me right and ride me dirty. This is not that. I highly recommend her as I own all other Narciso colognes (all 'for Men' creations) and this beauty will play alongside her brothers quite nicely. A fantastic creation that keeps the line cohesive. The entirety of NR creations is a love letter to that well-polished and expensive musk note that has truly become NR's very own Guerlinade at this point. A must and a true requisite for his perfumes.

Buy her, but do not hope much green ripe carnal tuberose from her. Can't wait to layer her w/ some true Tuberose oil or HR for Him Musk (the silver one).

UnearthlyApothecary

I finally found the Narciso for me! I almost loved Narciso the white bottle, that creamy powder was dreamy but the gardenia sometimes went a little too sharp and soapy on me. Here, we have a big bold Grape-y tuberose with a bit of skanky musk! There is something a little retro here but not mature or “old lady” Very similar to narciso for her (black bottle) but that one is more masculine due to the citrus and vetiver this is warmer, stronger , more feminine and performs better for me. Close enough to where you probably don’t need to own both though. This one just loves my skin. Great silage too.

DulciusExAsperis

Similar to the original For Her, but with a wallop of skanky tuberose at the beginning. Not as musk-forward as the others.

One thing about this one: I've never met a Narciso I didn't like but this one needs time to settle & dry down in order to be appealing. I find the first spray honestly a little stinky. All the others, I love from first spray... but give this one a little time to air out before you judge.

I do like this one but prefer the original EDP. I also have the Narciso EDT which is lighter, airier, and a higher dose of ambrox - there's that veil-y woody muskiness that reminds me of Molecule 01. Very much a skin musk, that one.

This one is maybe the most "grown-womanly," va-va-voom and seductive out of the Narcisos but I don't think it's my favorite.

Shwets

This reminds me of a lighter version of the eau poudree version in the sense that it is well blended.

A nice musk but not for me.

Konga5000

Still shake the bottle after every use to see how much is GONE and will DREAD the day it's all used up. I'm addicted to this.... I call this one Narciso Addict in my mind.
And YES this smells just like "the black one".

Bad reviews...go away ! LOL!!

Jose Marcos

... but this one does stand out from the others because of the tuberouse ... huge difference...

Maodo

I like NR For Her EDT (black bottle). I hoped I would enjoy NR L'Absolut too because it smelled lovely on a paper. But it's too sweet, too sugary and gets sour on my skin. So don't trust the For Her line blindly if you are a lover. You definitely must be fond of tuberose to like L'Absolut.

mapache

I find this to be a "peppery tuberose" to my nose. It does have the animalic tone to it as well. I am NOT liking this one very much...sigh..sigh...
The drydown ends up being a typical light tuberose/floral scent...there is no real development of the notes...oddly blended, I must say,IMO. Average, nothing spectacular scent. Rarely do I get a headache from perfumes...but this is giving one!!

sarah.brooks

Very sensual scent I love this one...

Jinjanoo

Wearing this gives me the wrist sniffing addiction I love when I try a new perfume... I think it might be my new favourite

Konga5000

My first Narciso after "visiting them" frequently at Macy*s & other places!

This is a dangerous perfume. It has a raw kinda purple punch.I love it! It's a wild animal in a dress !

Not for timid or shy people! This is "NOIR"...it has darkness to it like some TOM FORDS do!

The notes listed don't seem to match what I'm smelling here-- but - whatever.....

Great "house" ! I want more !

rola.asad

SO I decided that I don’t need this fragrance as I have the edt, and they are quite similar, but!!!! I couldn’t help myself, I am such a hoarder for Narsico’s fragrances!!!
I’m in love <3
This scent is so cozy, so elegant.

CassandraAlexandra

I've had a strange experience with this fragrance. At first, I got a nice dense floral scent with tamed powdery musk and patchouli background. I loved it and couldn't stop smelling my wrist.
Within half an hour, all this goodness melted down to a generic musky floral. It stayed this way for several hours and then disappeared completely. Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDP remains my favorite from this line.

ShinningLightOfThunder

This is a creamy sweet powdery goodness!

jacmac

A boring musk and not much else. This was gone by midday and was completely unremarkable while it lasted. If you're looking for a musk with a bit more complexity and staying power give Shalimar Souffle a try which is a much more well composed musk in my opinion

rola.asad

Super Sexy, i find it suits the adults more than young and teenagers.

It is so bold, sexier than the black edt one, & more mature!, the added tuberose is noticeable here, so if you like the NR in general and the tuberose, then this one is absolutely for you!

Awesome, and you will get a ton of compliments when using it!
Longevity and sillage: V. good.

freddinos

This was not good for me, I could sense animalic musk in the vein of Wild Musk with patchouli. The tuberose was drowned in the mix, gasping for air.
Felt quite vintage and familiar, in a 70s way. Not for me but I can see this pleasing quite a few people, however not to the degree the original EDT is loved by so many.

raiza1990

The opening stinks. Later, it gets better. It turns into a musky white floral, a bit soapy and very thick. A bit too much for me. This is a vampy fragrance. A bit warm from the amber, but still too cold for me. I prefer the white Narciso in the small bottle.
Don't overspray it, it can easily induce a headache.

bunnyia

I was given a chunky purple bottle of this EDP for Christmas.
I wish it would stay in its stage which happens after 5 minutes of the initial application! But nooo it dries down to Just Musk. This takes quite a while and I do like Musk but it is a white musk and is of course, synthetic with no depth.I do like it, but I just want it to be BIGGER.
It is a very feminine scent in my opinion. It has vanilla and rose in its heart. As for animalic- I wish!It is no 1970's Jicky and just as well because I do not want civet cats to die for me.( but I do want to smell like one)
I really like 'dirty' smelling perfumes like Bal A Versailles, and this NR has a little of that, but it is fundamentally very polite.
I do not think I would buy it again ,because it does not last, not sure how other people are making it last, as it just is NOT ( unless you mean the Just Musk bit). It is a very classy green floral initially, very swift drydown to the warmer amber tones and then.... sweeties and musk. The sweeties and musk I can get from a bottle of Ghost Deep Night, thanks.
I also have a bottle of Narciso Rodriguez for her( pink bottle) and I am sad to say, the longevity is terrible on that too, and I end up backing it up with Milton Lloyd's Cuba which lasts forever even though it is monocular in its vision.

mrezayipour

The scent is pleasant but not better than for her of 2003. The sillage and longevity are weak.

márti.vincze

The most prominent is the patchouli at first, but after an hour it mellows down and lets the musk take the center stage. I also smell a slight pepper spice note.

I love the confidence this fragrance gives. Sophistication, high class, wealth comes to mind. The sillage is moderate to heavy, it wraps around like a soft cashmere scarf. The patchouli is clean, luxurious.

mymlan

I have just ordered my second 100 ml bottle which is a surprise for me since I've been downsizing for years and I'm really aiming for a minimalistic wardrobe by now. But what to do when you have found real love? When I first tried it out it didn't smell as I had expected at all, and I was slightly disappointed. It was a blind buy and I expected a sweet tuberose fragrance with a touch of patchouli but what I got wasn't as sweet and flowery as I had hoped for. Instead I found it rather dry, smokey and quite abstract. But the more I used it the more I fell in love with it and the components that I had been looking for started to show themselves in full strength. The patchouli is quite prominent in the opening and it takes a little while for it to settle but once it does you will have a sweet, musky and the most sensual fragrance ever. It does not smell like the fragrances I usually buy: 80's big ballsy florals and florientals that smells like flower bouquets. Narciso l'Absolu is different, I like to think that the composition is modernistic, like an abstract art piece that doesn't attempts to imitate nature at all. Perfect.

RB75

Ok so this is my very first womens scent that i purchased. I wish it did not say „for her“ on the bottle. But to be totally honest, i just don‘t care and scraped „for her“ text off the bottle. Because to me this scent is amazing.
It is so musky, deep and sexy in a unique and sophisticated way.
L’Absolu is more deeper and potent than the EdT and EdP versions.
The jasmine is playing more in the background while the musk, tuberose and patchouli are very strong and dominant.
Longevity is fantastic. This could for sure work as a unisex.

Fleur divina

Floral with prominent tuberose and hints of jasmine notes and musk in the drydown... like the usual Narciso, perfumes long lasting and great sillage.

Leah lilly

Heavy warm musk and patchouli thats all I could smell, reminds me of Gucci by Gucci with the same basic hint.

Edemay

Angry at myself for not realising how amazing this was in the first place.
Its hard to describe the notes blend together like some sort of magic elixir.
I find it only has a small similarity to the black edt.
Its strong slightly animalic musk with a sweet grapey undertone.
It smells so sexy to me.

Shwets

This was like an amplified version of the original pink bottle edp. I just couldn't stomach the musk on paper and so I haven't got an idea of the dry down.

I'll stick to the orginal edt in the black bottle.

Scarlette Halliwell

This perfume is a representation of class, elegance and msytery. This perfume tells something when u smell it. Provocative in a way that when a man or any person smells it, itll drive their senses to discover more. Hypnotical scent that must be in every women's collection. This is my signatures perfume and whenver i wear it i instantly become a Cosmic Goddess.

taiara76

it is bold and intense, very intense. Actually I realized that although I like this scent is difficult for me to spray when I have choices of easier fragrances to wear....It is like too much and too intense, very strong and at a certain point I am not sure if other people like it when they smell it... or maybe it is just me
I will not buy it again

lovecake123

Upon spraying it on my skin, I smelled musk. That note starts to fade within a couple of minutes and fresh jasmine & tuberose come forward without being overwhelming. The deliciousness continues with a sweetness of sandalwood wrapped in light amber. This is one of the most addictive fragrance I've smelled. It makes me feel sexy and want to smell like this all the time.

dglightblue

Quietly cool and goes a bit sweet. Gentle.
Perhaps has the undertones of the other narsiso for her bottles, but this isn't as floral and cool.
Sits close to the skin, but is lasting ok so far, sprayed on. On pulse point two huors sgo.

Venusia

Bold, unique, magnificent!

After the first strong feelings that I've experienced already for a week, I can also describe it.
At first spray a cloud of tuberose and jasmine with green nuances emerge and lasts 2-3 hours. By and by musc takes its place in the composition and dances a while with the flowers which then tame but not disapear, letting amber and lightly sweet sandalwood come in. A hint of patchouli gives a fine edge to the whole mixture. After 4-5 hours it all turns into this gorgeous dark burgundy velvet that wraps me kindly and conquers me completely until the next morning when the scent still lingers in my hair. Totally enchanted and addicted! I am so in love

bvn1

absolutely beautiful fragrance!! I have the EDT which I adore but I find after the first hour it settles right down to a skin scent. This is like the first spray of the EDT for at least 4 hours I absolutely adore it and I find I don't usually love perfumes straight out of the bottle so it really is something special. so sexy but not in the usual overly sweet, sugary/vanilla based fragrances. I snap all NR FH and all the variations whenever they are on sale for fear of running out!

cinnakitty

I like the original one, I can never remember exactly which version, I *think* the edt but I can't be too sure since I don't own it, and I'm not sure if the sample sprays I had echoed the bottles or the boxes!
Anyhow, this smells a lot like one of those had a little baby with a piece of Turkish delight. It's has a rosy sweetness that other one doesn't have.

I really like it.
I don't think it has the lasting power of the other.
I think the original scent and this one do draw people in as everyone tends to be nice when wearing them.

Finally, I have to vent my frustration at scent houses who give everything a similar name: Narciso Rodriguez is one and Boss is another. Males in my family own some Boss scents. Do I know/remember which ones?! No. Can I buy said scents for birthdays without ruining the surprise, no! Do they know what they are called? No! For goodness sake people, give them names!

perfume_infatuated

This is a modernistic, mature tuberose perfume, on a background of animalic black musk, amber, and patchouli. An ideal companion to formal attire in offices. Serious, ladylike, and expensive smelling.

Don't judge it during the first 20 minutes, as it begins very animalic and debatable, but that's short-lived. By time, it dramatically changes from controversial to addictive. I like that creamy makiage vibe it holds during the addictive phase. Unfortunately, it looses part of the sillage when becoming better, but it stays close to the skin for long.

yeti

First smelled it in the Paris airport Duty Free....at that time, I found it to be the most revolutionary scent on the ladies market, modern vibe of the past...only Mystere de Rochas ever felt so ahead of everything else!

bjer-don

First spray, I get a huge blast of musk. Five minutes in, I see the tuberose appear, followed by some sort of bubble gum smell. I really never see the sandalwood appear, or the patchouli. Overall, the scent is very nice though. It is more of a classic "per-fumy" smell, just clean and fresh with flowers. Like a high end soap. Very refreshing, to have something that is neither sweet like candy or cake or food. Definitely no pre-teen scent going on here. This is wearing jeans and a white cotton T-shirt in the spring breeze, while barefoot on the beach.

fyre92

anyone have a cap they dont need for the 100ml bottle?

Nicronomicon

Skin chemistry really changes this one apparently! On me, it smells like sweet boozey bourbon and faintly of tobacco, sort of a high end whiskey bar is what comes to mind when I put it on. The first time I wore it I wasn't crazy about it, but the second and third times it was love.

flashrainbow

Ever heard "there's always that one person that will always have your heart (even when you cant call him/her yours)"? That is exactly how i feel about this perfume.
Tried it once around few months ago. Loved it but i was crazy in YSL Cinema & Jour d'Hermes by then. However i often think about this scent (like having dinner with ur beautiful boyfriend but u think about another guy).

I had holidays in Paris last month and a lady in Sephora spritzed this on me. Holy crap it feels like im in love again, but deeper and i want to have it forever! This is a tuberose bomb (I usually not a fan of it tho), the musk also heavy on my skin. Very sweet but not girl-next-door kind of sweet. The 'darkness' and creaminess blended well and turn it to an expensive and very ladylike scent.
An alpha lady, classy, mysterious, seductive but hard-to-get, high maintenance, successful career woman who loves to attend high-level party and surrounded by gorgeous crowd, fierce but kind-hearted ladyboss. You name it.

I love the reaction of people when i enter the room and catch them turn their head, deep inhale with face full of thoughts: who's entering the room? This smell is a killer! The sillage is crazy on my skin. Somehow makes me feel guilty if the scent is way too strong/overpowering, but then i tell myself : if loving you is wrong, i dont want to be right! Deal with that.
From top to drydown i absolutely LOVE IT!

TessiiDob

I really like this one. I’d been coveting this perfume for quite a while, and was very lucky to be able to get a bottle on special at David Jones. I found it rather sweet when it first went on, but after an hour or so, it settled into a lovely warm, creamy, almost buttery jasmine-amber scent. For some reason, I got a faint hint of orange in this, which is quite pretty. It smells pricey, which it is, although not nearly as expensive as some I’ve seen, and considering the longevity of this, I think it’s good value. I met some friends for dinner the other night and wore this out, and they all wanted to know what I was wearing because “wow, you smell SO nice!” And yesterday, one of our students commented on it as well, so I gave her a spritz – she really liked it. I’m generally not too keen on fragrances with tuberose in the top notes as I sometimes find it a bit cloying and sweet, but this isn’t at all. Longevity is excellent – after 12 hours it was still there, softer but still noticeable and still lovely. Sillage and projection are great – not overpowering or in your face, just lovely, gentle, beautifully-scented wafts. This is a beautiful, lush, feminine scent, and I’m very glad that I now have this in my stable!

fath1ma

Really ? When I make this review, 37 peoples said it's like EDT in a Black bottle. I really dont said.
This burgundy has a bomb and beautiful of Narciso perfume line.
Save your money a lot, only had 1 spray , I feel like I'm drowning in it. (Whats wrong my nose...??) Once again..my husband said it was too strong. Heavy.
Oh c'mon....I love the bottle colour. Became softer after 3 hours.
Believe me it's not like an Edt Black one. Not at all
Sprayed at 6.30 pm, still smell it when I woke up.
Air conditioner at 24°C

So I went and tested this twice and in the first 30 mins the smell sort of repulsed me. I couldn't even bear to smell my wrist. It's got this wild animalic smell... It's too primitive for me. Then it turns nice and ladylike. Tuberose/gardenia and musk I think n leather too? But now that I've got it... Well, It lasts at least 6 hours on me. And silage? Great I suppose. The first day I wore it at work (dental office and mind you I have to wear a headscarf in my country and I change my clothes and headscarf at work) I had sprayed 3 times on my neck and nape at home after shower and a very attractive young man at the office looked at the me in the eyes and said 'There's a perfume smell... It smells like Maxi cologne that I used to wear when I was younger'(He wasn't even that close to me and I couldn't smell anything on myself). He looked like he meant well and was giving me a compliment but... :( Maxi is an old cologne from 70s. I'd also thought that this perfume smelled like Maxi the day before! He confirmed it. So strange. But that's a cheap cologne and I don't like it. I believe the tester smelled better. I think I'll like it in time.
Update: I returned mine. I got sick of it. I love a tuberose perfume but this wasn't it.

EDITED VERSION

Heavy, warm and rich musk, tuberose and jasmine in the opening. From top to dry down are musky, floral and woody scent. A very beautiful, delicate, seductive, warm and sexy scent. Absolutely bolder than original EDP and EDT. Surprisingly, after two hours it's bit closer to Miss Dior Le parfum. Whatever, i love Narciso line

Lagniappe

Love it!! Its reminiscent of Narciso Rodriguez for her EDT but with that sweet tuberose. I always find it hard to describe NR perfumes because they're all very artfully blended. When you think you can't smell it anymore, bam, it keeps coming back. I'm trying to talk my boyfriend iinto trying it because it has a unisex vibe.

aki777

On me it's a musk bomb with a hint of a tuberose.

boulouboulou

As chypre as Youth Dew with all what i like in Narciso Rodriguez.
For me, a killer.
I was thinking about wearing NR for Her, but i am really gonna buy this one for good. I am a man but hey, what a piece of art !
Heavy on the tuberose, be warned.

ScarlettX

I usually at least like NR scents, but this one is not very good in my opinion. Strong tuberose, musky and lots of patchouli as well.
It's smoky, as other reviewers have said. Also mysterious and dark, kind of alluring scent. I'm more into bright and fresh, "a breath of fresh air" kind of scents, so this can't be it for me.
Too much tuberose and musk for me.

missingpuzzle

You accidentlly walked into shadowy alley of an innocent garden and you've started sinking in the creamy sin. It feels wrong yet so right. Yes, Alice, you've found your mirror world.

victoria.mei1992

Smoky scent, reminds of something from channel, maybe chanel black... Too chypre for me.

ancelicah

I got this as a present because I love all Narsico Rodriguez fragrances. This is my least favorite. Tuberose starts out really strong. It toook me few weeks to start liking it. It really grows to a pleasent Narsico musk in few hours, and it lasts. Definetely winter, evening fragrance. Not a blond girls summer fragrance.I would call it Narsico Rodriguez Noir.

Adina Galani

Hmmm, for me this is more Narcisso EDP then For Her. It keeps that Narcisso EDP touch quite devoted, though this one is a bit more.... casual in my opinion. Definitely a Rodrigues scent, the only minus point is the projection and lasting power which on me are both little less than what I am used to from the house, which does not mean anything bad. A daily, easy wear, nonoffending fragrance, little different than many around there.

zoranna

I adore NR perfumes, and Narciso EDP EDT are my all time loves. This one does not work for me. I am beginning to realise that Amber, Patchouli Heavy tuberose & Jasmine are featuring in perfumes that do sit well on my skin. At least I won't have to save up for this one! This may be a good choice for those that are not sure about the other fragrances in the line because this one smells very different to me; and someone else might get all the musky goodness of NR but with notes that they love.

This is predominantly a play between musk and tuberose with a hefty addition of jasmine. To my nose tuberose starts strong at the beginning along with musk while at a later stage jasmine and musk run their course to the end with the sandalwood creamy and smooth. I like the musk note here, typical of Narciso, neither heavy nor clean, just beautiful. Though I prefer the one in the square white bottle (I don't think there are any similarities, Narciso in my opinion is more ethereal ), this is a nice and very wearable scent, especially for those who love tuberose. Excellent sillage and longevity.

Let's get this straight from the get go, I am not a fan of Narciso Perfumes usually, but my goodness, this scent is something else. It's creamy, feminine, alluring, sexy and delicious. I adore this. The opening is like a traditional Narciso perfume, but the dry down is divine. I cannot stop sniffing my wrist. Vanilla, white floral, honey, musk, tuberose - all combining to make a beautiful, expensive smelling perfume. I'm in love.

Mothballs :-(

It's based on musk like the most of NR scents, but I think that flowers dominate in this scent. It's truly nice and creamy, good for cold season. However, some of its notes bother me. I guess it's tuberose. Again.

Ale

Unbelievably the drydown smells like YSL KOUROS POUR HOMME.

thảo intherain

It started just like NR for her EDP, if you have the for her EDP you will get that impression, but after a while ( 2 hours for me), it started to get slightly bitter. If you like perfume with contrary aspects, it might worth a sniff before owning the big bottle.

Sorry guys but I so don't agree with these reviews. I can't wear the original Narcisso Rodriguez no matter how much I wanted to, but this is perfect. I smell dark fruits, musk and a hint of patchouli. Without being crude this is how I want to smell after the most amazing sex. This is definitely for a confident sexy woman. I am in love.

I tried this in Sephora and it smelled like a bitter kind of perfume with a zesty fresh twist which seemed lovely, perfect for autumn...so I decided to order a 100 ml bottle online, for almost $100 of my hard earned money. Where's the zesty twist? Its just a bitter, leathery with an odd sweet side perfume...where's the fun? Its so linear (boring) and it doesnt last long either.
For something called L'absolu (the absolute), Mr. Rodriguez, and at $ 100 a bottle I would've expected LUXURY -more sillage, more lasting power, more intricacy, something to make my head spin. I'm feeling disappointed (and guilty for the spend)...
If you want something musky woody try Lanvin - Rumeur or if you want leathery try Ralph lauren - Notorious at a third of the price...
I'm done with overspending for something that doesnt deliver, after all there's a new economical world crisis coming up, so these luxury vendors better do something real for our money...
If the zest kicks in I'll report back, but I highly doubt it...
Edit 2
Apparently you can change your opinion about a perfume and perceive it differently! I found a bit of a twist to it, to the bitterness sweetness of it, I think there is a sexy zesty side. People have been telling me I smell nice. Still it is diluted for this price. I have to spray a ton to get that effect.
Edit 3
2 years after I cant wear this...drydown smells like an animal on mating season. One can trace you by it.

pauroj

nooooooooooooo narciso why ???
is not bad, not bad at all , is just not narciso enough for me is definitely floral i don't know is just too tame , not musky not sexy enough like for her or narciso

is good i wouldn't mind if someone gave it to me as a present but i am not dying.

bottle is georgeous but the juice just not for me and trust me i loooooooooooove narciso i love narciso like i love bacon and puppies.

celia46

I just received a 50 ml but i'm thinking it could be fake, becouse it's not appealing at all.

After reading so good reviews I decided to blind buy it, but it's a totally disappoint.

Smells like a perfume of the Avon line... strong floral whith a strong woody notes... to my nose it's not romantic or subtle at all. very strong and persistent in an old fashion wat...

It's te perfume or it's me?

Edit: after almost 20 days of owning for her labsolu I began to appreciate it.

The fact is that it's takes two hours or more to arrive to the point I enjoy it.

I think that it's too much time! but now I can understand that in others would drydown different or faster and so they immediately get the creamier side of the perfume.

The black For Her EDT is one of my all time favorites for winter time. I always have a bottle, sometimes I wear it all winter, sometimes only sporadicly.

This scent is a really nice version of the For Her. It's way better than the EDT Delicate version of 2012 (which I also like). This one is warmer, it's more similar to the original but more tuberose. It is also not as longlasting as the original, this one just fades slightly away. I think this version is more suitable for younger girls who think the original is too much.

I love it, but if I would go to the shop tomorrow to buy a new bottle of For Her, it would be the original EDP.

HanamiTsukimi

This is a lovely musk, but it smells too much like the EDT, which I already own, to tempt me to purchase.

The opening is more mentholic than the EDT, and reminds me a little, but thankfully not too much, of the Musc Intense which I really wasn't fond of. The drydown is almost identical to the EDT, but it's a little less airy and I believe the amber is more present. Interestingly for an EDP, it doesn't seem to project quite as well or last quite as long as the EDT.

I have to say, I really enjoy the NR aesthetic.

Antares811

This is a lovely, musky and creamy tuberose scent.
Absolutely beautiful and feminine.
Vey musky - like all Narciso scents - and similar to the new Narciso edp, white bottle, a delicate creamy floral.
Unfortunately the lasting power is too weak for my tastes.

Mellyhelly

Wow! I really like this NR! I still have to figure out if it's totally worthy for purchase, but in the meanwhile I lavishly enjoy my samples. I love it on paper and on my skin. It works very well with my chemistry.
After the first black bottled NR EdT, no other NR was quite convincing IMO. At least not on myself.
NR black bottle worked very well with my chemistry and I especially loved the orange blossom/musk combo.
I bought it in a rare perfume shop when nobody here even knew who NR is. Years later it became so popular and smelled everywhere, on just anyone and their cousins, in spite of the fact that it smells like cheap/rotten suntan lotions on many ladies.
Then came the Musc oil, the pink EdP, Essence, a thick list of flankers... then Narciso that falls flat and meaningless on my skin... No other NR seemed to work for me until L'Absolu. Here it comes again the unmistakable NR's trademark smell. No orange blossom is listed, but the tuberose-Jasmine/musk combo, once again expresses the magic of combining flowers with musk (hell, yes, synthetical, but can we choose still?).
As soon as the kind SA spritzed my wrist and gave me a paper to smell, I knew that this could be "maybe purchase" where the maybe part is given by low budget.
It smells so feminine, elegant, intimate, complex yet not uselessy complicated, just a little soapy. I like this way of making musk in modern times. I wish I could wear real musk, but I guess I cannot find that.
Modern musk is more of an acquired taste, yet there are differences among perfumes that apparently show the same notes.
This L'Absolu is soft, never skunk like Kiehl's, not too laundry (like screeching NR's Essence)
Here I find the familiar NR's vibe I loved in the first EdT.
The bottle is also very lovely.
Don't expect a projecting cloud of musky flowers like EdT. Here everything is made more essential and sits closer to wearer, almost more for her or (his) comfort rather than for making a statement to Others.
A modern winner.

Edit: I'm still on a fence. The floral part reminds me of a some very cheap (good) fragrance from drugstores, but I cannot point out which one. Maybe a tiarè from Monotheme? Don't know.
After multiple tests I like NR L'Absolu well. It is extremely long lasting in the tuberose edge, but... I come from glorious tuberoses of the past like original Chloè and I'm a bit confused about the modern wave of tuberose in many perfumes. Apparently there is a revival for this very assertive flower, but at the same time these perfumes are all very tamed tuberosas. They are longlasting (synthetical?) and at the same time they lack the naughty side. They smell like tuberose flowers after a tour in the washing machine. Must be new tastes.
Anyway NR L'Absolu is very very pleasant.

Edit 2: I like it, my man doesn't, as usual with tuberose (other than Amarige). He says that it smells old and musty (eye-roll)
I think I've spotted the drugstore similar: Revlon Charlie Red. Well, not exactly the same, but it smells similar.

I just recieved this beauty today as a gift from my husband to our 5th anniversary and it is beyond beautiful. I am crazy about tuberose. I do not get the reminiscence with Narciso's white cube, which is creamy and milky and it is my signature, so I know it by heart. This Narciso L'absolu is sultry and sexy. With the first spray it comes to me as a pink tuberose (the exact one from Fracas). After couple of minutes I can detect the typical Narciso's musk from the black bottle and it mixes together with the white flowers and gives them kind of that 'big wild cat's snarl' egde. Longevity and projection could be better, but this one is a win for me. 'Cos when my husband smelt it on me, he used words, which I cannot share with you :D And night is still young :D

Edit: The scent lingers, still the projection is weaker, but man, when u think it's gone, it wafts around u again.

jockinjb

Beautiful. Complex but not annoying. A little strange and a lot sexy... It lasts a long time on my skin but it It seems to come and go while staying very close to the skin. Over stock has bottles if the 3.3oz for under $50 right now.

rossyegio5

lolagizmo5

I love the original Narciso Rodriguez for her (edt - black bottle), I also have and love the new Narciso (edt - black bottle)..... but..... this?!? Yes it smells amazing, but it goes so quickly. It is just so soft, this is the first fragrance I have had from this fragrance house that has just vanished, so disappointed :( just not worth the money.

Alex1984

It seems that I'm turning into a Narciso Rodriguez fan. After Narciso and For Her, L'Absolu is my next big like. Though I kind of expected it as it contains tuberose.

L'Absolu is indeed very similar to both the aforementioned fragrances, and at the same time it feels different enough to justify owning it if you already own one or both of the above.

The opening blast is tuberose and jasmine. Very creamy, the tuberose soon takes center stage as the queen usually does. The jasmine isn't very prominent, while the tuberose sings for a good 45 minutes on my skin.

Heart and base is where the similarities start to show up; you get the signature musk that's highlighted in For Her, and the creamy amber of Narciso. This is where I feel that this couldn't be anything other than a member of the family. Narciso fragrances seem to have a certain elegance and understated sophistication that makes them so appealing to many, even if at first they seem kind of crude. They also bolster a very good longevity with a powerful sillage, which is something I wish would stand for most brands nowadays.

They are similar to each other and at the same time different. I enjoy For Her for its osmanthous/orange blossom no fuss musk, Narciso for its creamy ambery gardenia, and now L'Absolu for its strong tuberose presence, that is followed by what I like from the others. It's worth a try even though I know many will find it redundant. But if you like tuberose this a very pleasant surprise from the mainstream department that will surely be everywhere come fall and Christmas season.

Have you ever thought I wish there was maybe a more modern take on Nicolai's Sacrebleu? Well, here it is. I admire Sacrebleu! greatly and consider it the ultimate queen of the fairies scent but I can easily see that sometimes it has a bit of age to it going on that modern audiences can frequently ignore. L'Absolu takes that gorgeous deep tuberose note found in Sacrebleu and combines it with leathery plum opening and surrounds it a spicy musk. It is most definitely of the Narciso family but the spiciness is unique and tuberose gives the scent a narcotic quality.Overall this is like the sexy winter/fall night version of already sexy scent to begin with. First time I have been tempted by a Narciso Rodriguez flanker.

Has a juicy blueberry opening, then blends to a quite big gardenia, which I wouldn't call a tuberose (a bit similar like the white flower mix in Narciso EDP), until then I like it.
The drydown is a bit dowdy. Washed down Patchouli meets musc and generic vanilla.
And, surprise, it's quite fleeting! 1-2 hours bloom on my skin, then almost gone. Strange for a thing called absolue!

To me, it seems a bit, like NR is currently fond of his new "toy blocks" (a milky gardenia or a rosewood-vanilla compound (I can only guess) and is now trying to integrate them in different gradations and combinations. Interesting, but nothing I would buy.

This one smells amazing, a truly aurelien-guichardian perfume: thick creamy milky musky floral (check out a couple of his works, this young guy is a genius of the genre).

Lots of tuberose, non indolic though. Overall there's a very polished mainstream feel with niche-private-blend like depths.

Very strong and long lasting.

My skin chemistry threw me a curve-ball when I tested this at Sephora. I could have sworn there was a leather note along with the dense florals! For me, it was a heavy, oily, musky, leathery, and more suffocating version of the original. I even waited for any improvement through the dry down phase. It only softened slightly, but overall it felt extremely out of place on my skin. A strong dislike for me.

genny17

Happy to try it, but is it me or all the NR scents pretty much smell the same!? i must say I am not a fan of the NR scents...too dry, too musty/ musky, on a bed of flowers, same recipe, and my husband doesn't like them at all..
Absolu smells pretty much like the others, it isn't bad, but it truly isn't anything very different.
I guess NR is love, or hate!!!

monicabmh

I've tried the Narciso Rodriguez EDT in the black bottle before and enjoyed it and decided to test this one when it came out. It smells soft and powedery to my nose. I do like it, I just wish it had a little bit of a vanilla note in it that I think would make it more of a keeper scent for me.

I think it's worth mentioning that I've gotten compliments from perfumes before, but while wearing this, it was the first time I had a man stop me and insist I give him the name of the perfume so he could buy a bottle for his girlfriend.

My Sephora in northern Indiana carries this. I was so excited, and shocked, to see it. I got a sample, and tested on skin and on paper.

Hoo, yeah, well, I'm glad I got to test this out before blindly plunking down my credit card like I usually do. The opening white florals are very strong, and really oily-medicinal on my skin. The opening was really off putting for sure--I was not expecting that. Slowly the medicinal notes wear off and the heart is all musky white mothball flowers on me, with a tinge underneath of something like spearmint. That parts lasts for hours. When it finally starts to drydown, it is rather pleasant, I detect a nice sandalwood, a hint of cedar, and a bit of musk. That part I liked.

This is a dislike for me. The drydown is okay but I'm not sitting through over 6 hours of medicinal, mothball tuberose & white flowers in order to get to it. There are so many NR's that I liked that I wish would last a little longer on skin, so of course J'Absolue, the one I DON'T like lasts up to 10 hours on me and has great strength and projection.

Obviously skin chemistry varies but I thought I would share my thoughts. And ultimately it's a relief in a way to not like it--I already have enough, and I'll save a bit of cash, too.

dannysmom

I do love this, but I'm not going to purchase it. On me, it smells way too similar to the white Narciso (the new cube one) that I already own. Germany is right that it's a mix of Narciso and the original Narciso Rodriguez (black edt), only it's much closer to Narciso on my skin.

Beautiful scent!! Beautiful bottle!! However; in my mind, there is no point in owning both Narciso and this one. I really wouldn't know which one to reach for..

Germany

Love Narciso ! And this is no exception. Bought it on the spot. Soft musky typical Narciso , had to have the 100 ml , instant compliments from 3 people , but I sprayed a lot !!!
It's musky , creamy sweet , very related to the others in this line , not as strong as pink and black bottle more along the line of the purple milky looking Narciso that came out a few years ago ,,,delicate ? Same sort of feel to it. Just airy fluffy and wonderful. Don't miss it. Bottle is deep burgundy gorgeous.
Update
Best way to describe this is , light , fluffy and clean but perfumy due to the tuberose maybe ? I love it , it smells like a mix between the orig and the new Narciso in the cube !!!!! Yes that's it !!!!

lollsazz

Arlanda airport in Sweden carries this. I was hoping for something else... I tried it on paper and it was so strange to me that I didn't dear to try it on my skin. Maybe next time
