I bougth one in 2016 and it lasted me for a year and a half. I bought another one in 2022 and to my nose it seems stronger but still likeable.
I think it is the best to use it in spring!

GUADELUPA

One of the best fragrances from Avon. I'm in love with this masterpiece. Praline and currant with flowers at the background are perfectly suited together. Luxurious and very feminine scent. Longevity and sillage are excellent. It stays on my clothes for twenty four hours. Pity, it was discontinued. I believe that one day Avon will return this wonderful fragrance and gorgeous bottle to the catalogues.

kessyster

After a few years without sending any review, today as I've tried this perfume for the first time I've to say is pretty nice! Bit strong as I can still smell it after a while after applying. I would wear only when the weather is bit cold as is a bit strong. I can notice a sharp note also but not overwhelming. Overall I like and I going to wear more often.

VargaZsuzsanna

My favourite from Avon. I don't think it has the usual Avon-DNA if you know what I mean - if you just smell it on someone and they say it is an expencive niche/vintage parfume you believe it . Nothing cheap smelling about this fragrance in my opinion. Smells sophisticated, mature and elegant but not cold or standoffish. I would only wear it in cooler weather, as the temperature rises I detect a note in it that doesn't agree with my nose, it is quite disturbing especially because I don't know what it is.
The longevity is impressive, 8+ hours and the parfume is so strong two little sprays is all you will ever need to let your presence be known. I think it is the cheapest perfume in my collection but I would happily pay x3-4 the price because it worths it.

Unisex for me.. Got a vanilla feeling.

I hate it. Ive seen amazing reviews of this perfume, also the bottle looks amazing, so I purchased it. It’s such a big disappointment. At first it was sweet but it still had a weird note to it and smelled really cheap, a bit soapy. After some time passed by it started smelling more spicy and got really ugly. Like that kind of spicy as Guess Seductive. The worst part is that I could smell it all the time. I had to wash my hair same day because I couldn’t stand this smell.

Seducianne

I got to sample this little gem thanks to the generous Fragrantican commenting under me. Thanks, Antonia!
This opens very, very tart, with a blast of grapefruit, blackcurrant (which I perceive as cassis) and something chemical which irritates my throat for a few seconds.
After that, it immediately starts warming up and the flowers and especially the praline and the patchouli come to play. Here is where I can agree with those who say this smells like Coco Mademoiselle. I had the exact same impression: tartness from the citrus, earthy crispness from the patchouli + an added dose of sweetness from the chocolate. Basically, it smells like a Mademoiselle Praline to me, of course, not as refined, because when I smell it up close, it kind of keeps that harsh chemical quality through and through.
The sillage and longevity are quite glorious for the price.
In case you like this kind of sparkly, but not citrus perfumes which have a clear and crisp, yet somehow round quality to them and you're on a budget, I highly advise you to give this a try.

One of the best of all the Avon fragrances I tried in the last weeks, after Far Away Rebel and Far Away Gold. It opens up quite tart and sour with intense grapefruit and blackcurrant. You would think it's a citrus scent at the first moments, but it's not. It's just a perfume with a true development from a fresh and fruity top through a more floral heart to a warm base. The drydown is quite sweet, but not cloying or sugary. The praline is clearly the strongest note of the base, but the texture of the scent seems soft and powdery. I can also detect a hint of sandalwood and a shadow of the fruits from the opening. The floral notes are only supporting players, it makes sense that there is some jasmine in here but I can't really single it out. I also don't get a lot of patchouli from this, maybe a light hint.

I would have expected Premiere Luxe to be a little more intense and opulent. I usually don't have performance problems, but it sits rather close to my skin and I think it would improve if it was just a tad louder. This way it's a nice daytime fragrance, but not a must-have to me.

Several revies compare it to La Vie Est Belle and Coco Mademoiselle, but I don't get that. To my nose Premiere Luxe is softer and drier than both, not as sweet as LVEB and not as sharp as CCM, just very different all in all.

beautiful bottle ...a present...fruiy floral rarely seat well with me. What a pity!
I have oily skin and acid reflux(maybe acid ph+fruit acid+no good), let's see if there's other people with this conditions for whom fruity floral is a problem

Happiness_in_a_Bottle

Surprisingly good! Well done, Avon! It is very long lasting and with strong sillage. You will definitely smell it even after 5 hours of wear. It is an empowering fragrance. I feel like it speaks to the 30+ women.

It can be office appropriate if you don't overspray. Definitely a fall/winter fragrance. It is classy and stylish enough for an evening out.

paula.billinge.1

I've got several bottles of PL as Ive loved the fragrance since it was released. I'm stocking up as it is due to be discontinued in the UK (Jan 2019). Why, with its flanker PL Blush is it being discontinued? I think its definitely one of the best perfumes released by Avon in the last few years.

I love blackcurrant in fragrances and PL is so well blended I can just about make out the pomegranate, jasmine, sandalwood, patchouli and praline. An elegant fine fragrance that always draws compliments. It lasts on both skin and clothes and the dry down is lovely.

MixedTastes

This has been languishing in a dark drawer for a couple of years and to be honest I don't remember purchasing it or ever trying it(!!), but I've fallen in love with this fragrance over the last couple of weeks.

It's a thick, creamy white floral fragrance, essentially, with a prominent jasmine note, but with a juicy sweetness from the blackcurrant and lots of sandalwood in the drydown. I don't get praline from this at all, more a vanilla base note that adds sweetness.

I can sort of see the comparisons to LVEB, but I find that one choking, whereas this has more of an easy charm, so I wouldn't overstate that resemblance. This has more in common with Sofia Vergara's lovely signature, I think, although that features plum rather than blackcurrant.

All in all, a very versatile fragrance that perks you up when you put it on and makes you feel like you're 'wearing perfume'. I've been wearing it to work this week as the days get cooler, but I could definitely wear this on a night out, too.

Patricia888

Uhh, this is very, VERY strong perfume. I tried it second time today with this page open reading the glorious reviews of it to help me find the good in it. When you spray it is just so off putting. Maybe I`m just not in the classy, special occasion, strong perfumes. I was waiting patiently for the dry down but to me it is still going strong and pretty much same as it was when I first sprayed it.
Yeah, definitely try before you buy it.

Nikkafragrance

My bottle arrived today. It's simply a beautiful scent, I wish it was heavier in silage. On my skin Premiere Luxe starts out with jasmine and pralines, on me I can smell dark chocolate. Magnolia note is very prominent too. It's a beautiful white floral bouquet with some gourmie notes. The pomegranate reminds me of Euphoria - it's intense, not fresh and light like it's in Miss Boucheron. Premiere Luxe is a fragrance with personality. Very rich, perfect for a night out and formal events. I got my 30 ml bottle for 5 euro, it's a great bargain for such beauty.

Siv7Stars

Mercifully I'm not getting much praline at all, as I'm generally not keen on it. I'm not initially getting very obvious fruity floral gourmand to be honest. To me it's a slightly old fashioned, sophisticated classic scent, whose rough edges get smoothed out as it dries down and becomes sweeter. I'm finding it nicely mixed, no individual notes jumping out at me (not keen on that either) There is little bit of Coco Mademoiselle ish, maybe.. It doesn't smell cheap anyhow!
Addendum: repeated use has revealed a chocolatey note but it hasn't become very nutty or praline still, thankfully.

TitanicRose

What a little gem ! Yes,when i first squirt,i get a blackcurrant jammy flavour, but that evaporates off to give the most yummy wafer milk chocolate nutty praline....yet still smelling like a classic 'gold perfume' that an elegant confident lady in a swanky hotel bar would wear, with delicate gold or pearl jewellery and classy clothing.it could even pass on the promenade deck of Titanic ! I read a ghost story once,of a girl smelling the perfume of a ghost with a 'hard nutty centre' and i went on a quest to find my 'hard nutty centre' and found it in the dear friendly Avon catalog ! Think the noisette whirl in a box of chocolates.....or a milk choc hazelnut wafer-bar ! I am wearing it now, listening to swing jazz, and fancying being in the ballroom of the ss United States ballroom, wearing my gold, jitterbugging with Milton Berle ! If this reminds me of anything,(altho different) it actually reminds me of Avril Lavigne's celebrity perfume.....omitting the plum for blackcurrant jam,and the dark chocolate of Avril Lavigne to dairy milk chocolate.a pleasure to sniff on yourself !

Camilla91

Avon just gave us a nice surprise! Quite luxurious, feminine and elegant - that's how I would describe the scent. It has some 'Avon' undertones in it but doesn't smell cheap at all.

arefuthescroob

This is another good example of a really gorgeous Avon perfume. Very nice floral/a bit citrus scent.

b.a.denney

I just got this today, and have yet to wear it, but I have spritzed it on a tester card. It is a pretty strong white floral. Hopefully when I wear it, that doesn't overpower everything else. I was expecting the bottle to be prettier. It looks so classy in the pictures, but in person, it's a little cheap looking. I'd like to try the flanker of this, with the rose gold coloring too. I had to order this off ebay, all the way from Poland. I hate that Avon has perfumes that they don't offer here, in America! Hello, you are on American company, how is that fair?! Will update after I've worn it.

Update: I tried in on my wrist, and it's just way, way too strong in the white floral department for me to really enjoy. I was hoping the reviews that stated it was similar in vibe to La Vie Est Belle were true, but on me, not so much. I may give it one more try later, but for now it's a definite no.

mshimoz

I expected a luxurious scent, and I found it so heavy but it will be suitable for a lady ,not for young ladies or teens! Classy scent but not for me..

lolitajade

A slightly stronger Avon Dreamlife

Hippolyta

First let me put this out of the way- "Premiere Luxe" is one of Avon's best creations in recent years, IMO. It breathes of elegance, good taste and sophistication. The longevity and the silage are amazing for at least full six hours on me. After that it slowly starts to fade into a soft skin scent, but you can still feel it hours and hours after that.
Although I'm really happy with it now, I needed to wear it for at least three times to get know its beauty. The first time I sprayed the only thing that came to mind was- men's aftershave.I just couldn't get past the bitterness of the grapefruit. I had to wait for a couple of hours until it mellowed down and I could feel the other ingredients. But every next time this phase got shorter and shorter. Now there is still the initial bitter blast, but only for 5-10 minutes, after that the more gentle part of it becomes prominent- white flowers with a fruity touch of black currants and pomegranate. After around 4 hours " Premiere Luxe" settles into a perfect mix of praline and patchouli. It's soft, round and so gentle.I do agree that it has something in common with La Vie Est Belle, but "Premiere" is less sweeter ( which is better IMO). I totally recommend it.

Hejjdy

It's a perfect scent for a beautiful young lady. It sparkles! Despite the fact that it's an Avon perfume, its guality is really good. Its lasting power is not short but not too long either. I wish it stayed for more hours on my skin.
I can definitely feel the pralines in it! :)

mystica

Beware, Premiere Luxe is not suitable for a blind buy. I was impressed by the positive reviews but the scent didn't turn out what I'd expected it to be. I was expecting something sweet and luxurious smelling, on the same line with Lancome's La Vie est Belle maybe, but Premiere Luxe is totally different and it doesn't remind me of any other fragrance really other than being significantly Avonesque -a good or bad thing depending on your perception and the scent in question-. Here, Avon unfortunately misses it. Premiere Luxe is not a hit.

This scent is all about synthetic, powdery, floral (jasmine) BLACKCURRANTS. Praline is also detectable, but under the shadow of blackcurrants like the rest of the composition and in a very artificial, almost unpleasant way. Here, there is nothing wrong with the notes themselves, but Premiere Luxe (contrary to its name) is rather quite a moderate quality perfume (made from rather average if not poor quality ingredients) which makes the composition fail.

Wearable, but you do need to love it; and definitely test before you buy!

*Not migraine safe.

The nose behind this fragrance is Vincent Schaller from Firmenich.

derya

it is too flowery and suitable for a +30 lady.it smells kinda classy but at the same time gives me a headache. it is one of the most long lasting Avon fragrance I had been used. if you want something smells sugary, powdery, woody like me this is a big no no.

shushkin

My favourite AVON fragrance had up until now always been CL Absinthe but now have a new favourite. I have to be frank and say that most of AVONs fragrances are as weak as a kitten and I have tried them all as a past AVON Rep. Premiere is the business and I also concur with "a cross between Coco Chanel Mademoiselle and La Vie Est Belle Lancôme. Both are very classy, expensive signature cents, ones were you can just smell and feel the quality". The sillage is moderate on me and it lasts about 5 hours which is amazing for an AVON fragrance!

dona kaca

Great, very classy perfume,in my opinion currently best fragrance from Avon.I dont know how exactly to describe it but its fresh and rich at the same time, perfect for any occasion,I received lots of compliments.

TheAnastasia

My mom ordered this way before me, but it was so good I ordered one for myself! And I didn't really know how to describe it other than it smells expensive and sophisticated, but read some reviews and polkadot27 put it perfectly: "a cross between Coco Chanel Mademoiselle and La Vie Est Belle Lancôme. Both are very classy, expensive signature cents, ones were you can just smell and feel the quality". Not to mention Mademoiselle and LVEB is my favorites!

Malibu

If La Vie Est Belle and Nicole Richie's self named perfume had a baby, it would be Premiere Luxe. It isn't very unique, but it is complex and has very good longevity for the low price and the bottle has a classic vintage feel to it.

Premiere Luxe has taken the good parts of it's main two scent-a-likes and removed the harsher elements; it has taken the distinct powdery florals (I think that there may be some iris here too) and creamy praline-lead base from La Vie Est Belle, whilst not being so in-your-face overpowering and loud with the notes. From Nicole it has similar realistic not-too-sweet and juicy berry notes on a bed of sandalwood and sweetened patchouli, but the florals in Premiere Luxe aren't as smothered by the energetic clash of the fruits and patchouli as they are in Nicole.

Avon UK has just launched a flanker for Premiere Luxe, which I'm now keen to get.

ellina1984

The top is blackcurrant and lots of flowers. Jasmine most definitely, and a hint of gardenia, which not at all bothersome (gardenia - hater here). At this stage it's a bit sharp. However, it quickly settles down and becomes a gourmand, with vanilla and praline, and a bit of patchouli, mouthwatering yet elegant.

Premiere Luxe was launched way before La vie est belle, I think. And yet it wears like an "Eau de la vie est belle". Lighter and less cloying, but the resemblance is definitely there. It feels much more expensive than it actually is. So far one of the best by Avon.

flowers-in-the-springtime

I got this little baby for a fiver,
I didn't have high expectations for this as I'm not the biggest fan of Avon.
Having said that, I do own a vintage 'Facets' and 'I love Far Away Exotic', so I'm not a total stranger to this brand.
Firstly, the bottle is amazing, it's just so classy and beautiful, so that alone gets it 10/10.
Secondly, the perfume is a real beauty! Classy, floral, elegant, French in style and almost a modern day vintage.
The fragrance smells very expensive, projects well and has great longevity.

polkadot27

This is a very classy perfume. It is a cross between coco chanel mademoiselle and La Vie Est Belle Lancôme. Both are very classy, expensive signature cents, ones were you can just smell and feel the quality. This one is the same. Avon have really pulled it out of the bag with this one. It's soft and it's creamy with sweet praline seething through. I pick up on nutty undertones in this one, probably hazelnut blended with the slightest trace of patchouli wrapped up in magnolia and gardenia. For me the black current is the base note, I have to smell hard to detect black current but it is present underneath the other notes. It is beautifully blended just like La Vie Est Belle Lancôme. The only problem I have with this fragrance is when I wear it the silage is rather poor and for such a quality expensive smelling scent, this sort of lets me down. Therefore for me it is kind of a skin scent, a beautifully thick rich creamy skin scent indeed. Perfect for autumn and winter months. This fragrance is sexy in a classy way.
I imagine ladies who like the finer things in life and who are materialistic but never in a tacky gaudy way wearing this. They have impeccably high standards but are by no means lacking depth or shallow. They seek quality and respect along with stability and security in life. They are reserved and somewhat hesitant when it comes to love, but prove to be the classiest most loyal ladies.
I disagree with those who say this could never be a signature, it very well could be, for the right type of woman. This perfume isn't brash or in your face which a lot people seek in a signature scent, it is quiet and reserved but individualistic in its own right. It doesn't have any crazy off the wall combinations of notes. But it is a safe, beautifully blended scent for the reserved kind of lady who knows and seeks quality.
When I think of this perfume I think of beautifully blended smooth coffee beans. Safe, warming, comforting and seductive in a peaceful way.
The beautiful vintage, bottle is very nice. It looks very expensive. Just like the fragrance the bottle is classy, understated and subtly charming.

KATERINA LABROPOULOU

Nice perfume from Avon. I would compare it with "love never dies gold" due to its earthy note. It is rather sweet, the chocolate (praline) note along with patchouli is pleasant giving to the perfume a high quality hidden inside it. It is long lasting, with a nice bottle. I could wear it easily in spring but is better for winter time when perfumes are closer to clothes (scarves) and don't evaporate due to heat. I am glad with my choice!

Dawndelights

I asked for a sample to try, was just pulling out the little wand stick out of the sample but did not put any on as it was so strong. Too strong for me, I am more of a medium strength perfume

nadicamihajlovic

Sweet, luxurious, gourmand. At first spray it's a little bit Coco Mademoiselle, and later is more Christina Aguilera...Not a signature scent, but it is of good quality. Nice for celebrations, and special occasions.

Silences

Fruity gourmand is the perfect description for this fragrance. I spoke to a colleague and she tracked one down for me as the North American market will not be picking this one up.

I'm not sure what people mean by not typically Avon. I am assuming they mean, not catering to mainstream tastes which it does not.

The scent is more of an evening scent, it is on the intense side. I picture a sophisticated elegant woman wanting to put this on and go out for a nice dinner.

The pomegranate and black currant really come through but the florals blend nicely. It has more of a European feel to it, but in the best way. The scent lingers and has great staying power. Well done Avon.

Juliana6

Yesterday I spent a wonderful evening at the theater, and the woman sitting next to me was wearing an enchanting, deliciously powdery, luxurious, evening-y, expensive perfume. I was inhaling deeply many times to enjoy it, and I was thinking about the perfumes I have tried, because I recognized this wonderful scent, but I couldn't figure out the name of it. While I was living in the story going on on the scene, I felt the whiffs of that fragrance -thick, sweet, a scent of the lady, of the celebration, of special occasions.
And then the end, tears in my eyes, storm of applause in the dark, my overwhelming emotions and the big flash in my head -the perfume was Premiere Luxe by Avon.

kelly.locke.79

I bought this perfume based on the positive reviews on here. WOW I was not disappointed. The reviews here are spot on. This is certainly my new favourite and have just purchased another bottle. The scents lasts for ages and the silage is great. I love the patchouli and praline notes, I can make out the black currant too which adds a touch of subtle fruitiness. I was not expecting such a quality of notes, which all compliment each other and this really does remind of a classic perfume meaning no synthetic or off putting 'tickly nose' notes. A classic floral/fruity gourmand scent, which you keep smelling throughout the day as the silage it great and fun to smell the notes as they dry down into a soft sweetness. I would have happily have paid more for this perfume. Please Avon do not discontinue this one.

boheme_maras

This one is love ! So good perfume i like ti so much. Smells like expernsive scent. To me smells like Coco Mademoiselle in a sweeter way. But i think chocolate isn't that loud in the notes.

UPDATE...
Im wearing it today after a long time. I really like this one the dry down smells like La vie est belle.
I usually dont like gourmands but this one is lovely.
Im wearing it till 18:00 am and not its midnight (6 hours) and im still smelling it! Now i understand why this one is on the " expensive page " on Avon's catalogue!

iamaround

I've been impressed with Avon fragrances that I've tried lately more than with those I've tried in a drugstore..

From the first spray you can definitely feel fruitiness and citruses, then it progresses into a sensual floral patchouli praline combination in the base.

It smells more expensive than the price for sure. To me this is an uplifting, sweet in a grown up way, feminine and a modern scent. If you like sensual patchouli type fragrances, give this a try.

omneya.iskander

nothing special about it, Just another Avon. I bought it after reading the reviews. nice, but not special.
it can't be considered as signture. I often forget how it smells so I ware it before I write my review here to remmember. it also can't be classified under a certain category. some times I feel it artificial.

it's good for work environment, and for shy people who don't like to be noticed.

canadianpetite

Any Canadian seen this in the brochure yet?? Would love to sample this.

BikiniBabe

I had a few testers of this one laying around and i have finally decided to write a review on it.

At first sniff i get this very mature flower smell and i can't understand how this one ended up in the Floral Fruity Gourmand category...because there is nothing fruity or gourmand about it. It's just flowers and some sandalwood... the sweet praline scent is not nearly strong enough to make this a yummy smell.

In all honesty it smells like a classic mature woman's perfume... think Chanel!

It's not a bad perfume at all but it's just not my cup of tea =( sorry

U can follow me on YouTube @ BeautyOnSale

expialidocious

I didn't expect it to be such an old quality perfume, and I mean in a good way. Reminds me of what perfumes smelled like back in the nineties. Rich and long lasting with a mysterious note. The silage and longevity are more than satisfactory and the juice develops as the hours go by. BOTH THUMBS UP!! One of the perfumes that bring so many memories back!

Juliana6

Avon... Avon? Wow, Avon!!!
This is nothing like the average Avon scents. This is a gem! Expensive smelling, rich, strong and classy.
Somehow it reminds me the creations of Lancome- the bottle seems to be inspired by Magnifique by Lancome ( a filigree Greek column, touch of sophistication, also a reference to the classic canons of beauty), but the scent makes me think about "La vie est belle" also by Lancome.
The opening is bittersweet, warm ( the black currant hot drink for your nose), quite strong with just a hint of chocolate sweets (I smiled when I saw the praline in the pyramid), but it settles down like a classic bouquet of white flowers and later transforms into a creamy, delicious, rich mixture. The praline comes back, it melts with the patchouli (in a very good way) and the warm, beautiful sandalwood. The longevity is really good. A wonderful one from Avon!

Sophie.love

This is not Avon-like .
It's sweet and fruity in a luxury, expensive way .
To my nose it's Valentina Assoluto's sis'.
Worth every penny .
Sillage : medium to soft
Longevity : 3 hours .

umtaleb

Opens with bitter grapefruit and then dries down quickly to white flowers and a rather strong praline vanilla note with wood. The patchouli is present, but mostly as a middle note, not very obvious or long-lived.

I couldn't detect black currant; the pomegranate comes off more as a sour note covered by the grapefruit.

Not very sweet over all, rather well-balanced.

Rich and voluptuous. Good buy for the price point.

Longevity: 8+ hours
Sillage: moderate

lesecretforme

where can i get a bottle of this?

avonman

This has a Beautiful Vintage looking bottle which kind of resembles something Estee Lauder would have done!

sarage

This is the most beautiful, luxurious perfume bottle I've ever seen from Avon!
I have only the catalog's paper tester, and it smells very fine, not cheap (=made without ambition).
White flowers with gourmand elements, a very luxurious combination. I might go and buy this for the holiday season.

MoonGirl

I have a bottle of Premiere Luxe and love it. Along with"Today" and "City Rush" it's a little gem!

It's very pleasant and not "typically Avon". It opens with lots of blackcurrant, some citrus (that's just about saved from being too sharp by the balanced white florals), and a crispness that is quite refreshing, along with an underlying layer of warmth. This is not a sweet, vanilla-y, powdery fragrance which is usually my favourite type. It's the best thing Avon have come up with in years and wears very well.

Perfect for any formal event or just work, as it has very quiet dignity and subtle glamour and lasts well, staying with you hour after hour.

This is a lovely and very reasonably priced scent which has a touch of luxury that I think would surprise any Anti-Avon-ist.

beauty_girl

The notes sounds good, but familiar.
