Aqva Divina by Bvlgari is a Floral Aquatic fragrance for women. Aqva Divina was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas. Top notes are Salt, Ginger and Bergamot; middle notes are Quince and Magnolia; base notes are Woody Notes, Beeswax and Amber.

Aqva Divina is the first feminine fragrance from the Bvlgari Aqva collection, which has so far included only masculine scents. Bvlgari Aqva Divina comes out in February 2015, inspired by Botticelli’s painting The Birth of Venus. The fragrance is announced as very bright and sensual.

Its floral-aquatic composition signed by perfumer Alberto Morillas opens with aromas reminiscent of the salty sea; there are accords of bergamot, salt crystals and red ginger. Magnolia and quince form the heart of the perfume, which is followed by the base of beeswax, precious woods and amber.

The face of the perfume is fashion model Magdalena Frackowiak. The fragrance is available as 25, 40 and 60 ml Eau de Toilette.

This is precisely my vibe for summers. This smells exactly like being at the beach. The salt is a bit intense upon first spray but it dries down to a really lovely beachy woody scent. I enjoyed this while it was in my collection and while I did like it, I think there are better, more refined salt and wood scents out there. (See Jo Malone's Wood Sage and Sea Salt.)

"aromas reminiscent of the salty sea" absolutely not. still interesting though!

to me it reads more "candied ginger" but in a... good way?

I only had a decanted sampler but I realised this is a very interesting and amazing scent. I don't know why this reminds sea or salt or things like that to so many people. For me this doesn't remind any of those and even nothing else too, not aqua, not divina. It could be bound to sea and vacation but sea and vacation themselves don't bring this scent at least into my mind. The only thing I can relate this to is the photo of the real bottle itself in this website: something lightly beige, sweater-like, soft, something for mothers. The smell reminds me a bit of Omnia but Omnia is lighter, Aqva Divina is stronger. Very nice experience to test it.

sortaeduard

Is this anything like aqva amara or lush plum rain? And could a guy wear this?

dualaokto

It’s the smell of the ocean breeze passes through your wet hair and body right after you swim. The sun is heat, your mood is neutral, but you do appreciate the moment as it brings back the childhood memories where you always longing for the beach to play with its sand, to feel excited and scared at the same time when the waves hit you and try to drag you.

You smile, years have passed, no undo button, no return shortcut. You now staring at the horizon, realized there are more to come in life. And the salty ocean breeze caresses your face once again, wipes away the sweet childhood memories.

This is one of the most bullshitted scents I've come across. I love older Bvlgari scents, generally, don't get me wrong, but this was the beginning of the end. It's just some strong citrussy stuff (on a bed of amber. Slightly aquatic, slightly spiced.) and not much of anything else at all. Zero notable salt, zero notable ginger (the top two voted notes). My bottle is a vintage tester bottle, so it's literally the first formula and it's nothing but zesty horror.

I'm not a fan of citrus scents.

I come here and see it being bullshitted in reviews and I think I must be wrong about it, over and over again, but every time I stupidly fall for applying it it's always just as tangy, tart, citrussy and blank as it was the last time. It's not a bad tangy, tart, citrussy scent, so if that's your thing, ok - no big deal - so what - way it goes, but why imply it's anything more than that (just cos it says so in the notes)?

How terribly unrefined and ignorant I must be to nay-say the bullshit.

For fans of resinous citrus.
Citrus, citrus and more citrus.
With a pinch of resin, amber.

I actually feel that this could be considered Bvlgari's take on Eau des Merveilles by Hermes. Though I prefer that over this. Eau des Merveilles is better constructed than this, but there's certainly a similarity in style. They're within the same genre. Neither are to my taste.

Edit -
Gave it one last try.
Orange rind.

Extra edit -
Orange on a plate.
I blink and you're still there.
Stinky.

Blind buy travel size. Bergamot salty driftwood aquatic. The bergamot opening lures me in but then I get hit in the face with salty driftwood. Campfire on the beach drinking a margarita? I respect the quality of the fragrance. Its just not for me.

marialena888m

It starts out with a burst of juicy oranges that’s been soaking in brine. That salty brine note is reminiscent of Mugler’s Womanity (which I find difficult to wear) and Olympea (which I strongly dislike), but it’s done so much better here and smells much more refined and sophisticated. I love adding a little salt to my orange slices (that’s just how I eat my oranges), so I rather enjoy the peculiar opening. After the orange note calms down, I sense the spicy warmth of the ginger, it’s subtle, but present. So far everything is smooth and refined, no harshness to be found. The magnolia rears its pretty head, airy and demure, and a natural smelling honeyed-amber rounds the scent, adding creaminess and a touch of natural sweetness. On my skin, the citrusy note doesn’t go away, neither does the salt, they just get softer over time. The far dry-down 3+ hours later is a true ‘my-skin-but-better’ scent, like you’ve applied citrusy-amber body lotion, and unfortunately there are days when I am totally anosmic to it. Simply put, it is a refined salty citrus with a hint of mild ginger and a slightly sweet/waxy ambery base. I don’t get much woodsiness on my skin. It’s not a true ‘ocean’ scent, it doesn’t smell like the sea (the way her male counterpart does), but it does mentally take me to a luxurious beach resort and is somewhat evocative of warm sands and citrus body lotion slathered on clean, sun-warmed skin. I enjoy the scent much more when it’s wafting around me than I do when I put my nose to my wrist. On some days it leans unisex, on other days more feminine, but certainly the sillage is more beautiful than what you smell up close. I don’t think this scent is ideal for the hottest days, it’s not fresh enough for that (for me atleast) and that salty note might get amplified in the heat, but it’s perfect for the breezier days and nights of spring and summer, and even wonderful worn into fall. Longevity is a moderate 5-6 hours and sillage is also comfortably moderate. I have to overspray if I really want it to project. Tip: I love layering Aqva Divina over VS Amber Romance body lotion or body mist. What I do is I apply Amber Romance 30-60 minutes before I spray on Divina. They mix perfectly together and the creamy sweetness of the amber gets amped up, making the scent more feminine without taking away from its uniqueness.
Update: I prefer to use this scent for layering with other perfumes, I feel like it’s a bit too simple on its own and doesn’t really excite me. Great when I need to ‘salt’ my other fragrances though.

kalhie

Based on the reviews I thought this would be completely different. I feel very strong wood notes, intense beeswax and something that reminds me of spices. I’m grateful I didn’t spray it on my skin, I would have chewed my hand off to make it go away :( I don’t think this is bad, but definitely not my preference. Try before you buy it!

Omarislemons

So I bought this fragrance for my mother for her birthday so you know I had to test it, and man does it smell good. This fragrance can very well pass as a unisex, fragrance you get the fresh citrus and subtle sweetness from the bergamot with a touch of salty-ness then you have those floral notes same as well very subtle nothing crazy. This smells almost a clone of Bvlgar Aqva Amara but Aqva Amara has little more salty-ness and a hint of metallic note. 100% worth buying its at a really good price at the moment and the longevity is nice as well about 4-6 hour performance.

Gummybear002

Matheya is clearly noseblind. This isn't something that needs testing or smells unpleasant and even if it does it won't to those aroundyou. Compliments happen.

Katie <3

Very nice, develops interestingly on my skin and smells high quality. A unique classy scent. Perfect sillage and good longevity.

Matheya

None of the super positive reviews are justified to me ! So don't blind buy it like me - test it.
Sounds like something interesting reading the notes and the reviews.
It's actually a mess - opens up with bunch of notes clashing. Then it starts smelling masculine.
I can't detect a single note or a combo of notes from the list besides ginger and salt ! Then ... it's gone ! No longevity.
Bvlgari is killing it in the male department but we are left behind ! Still haven't found a Love fragrance !
Thank God I bought a travel size of 20 ml. so I can use it up experimenting with layering.

Aqua Divina is a refined, elegant fragrance, evoking a sunny summer at the seaside, when you come home with some sand on the feet and the scent of tan and suncreams all around, but you also have your own cabin, some Hermes sandals and a nice wide hat too. it's a wealthy scent.

On my skin, this fragrance opens with a defined touch of salt and citrus - think Olympea and tone down the sweetness to a minimum - then it quickly develops into something more complex, where it's difficult to tell apart the single notes: there's some sweetness, a bit of white floral touch, a bit of deepness without screaming woods at all, with salt and citruses sprinkled all over.

This fragrance is a perfect everyday choice for summer: office friendly without being too serious nor flirty, really feminine and absolutely elegant. Aqua Divina smells expensive and classy.
If you like the notes, it's a safe blind buy.

sofiapw

I absolutely love this scent. My favorite scents are Bulgari Crystalline (this one is stronger) and Coco Chanel Mademoiselle (this one is far gentler). Bulgari Aqua Divina is a shock to the senses when sprayed on, but immediately procedes to settle into a most elegant summer afternoon trip to the beachside pool with the wind blowing my hair I put on some coconut oil and enjoy the atmosphere. On me, it becomes a wonderful combination of gentle coconut and stronger rose with hints of jasmine on a backdrop of bright Bulgari Crystalline but having a deeper, stronger woody musk and sandalwood. It stays on my skin for hours, and clothing even longer. As it fades into a skin scent, it becomes a gentle sweet smell that comforts. I love this scent. It is so very unusual.

SuperSueChick

I'm in search for an AQUA sea breeze sort of summer fragrance. I want salty, airy, oceany, a lo 'Sailing Day' by Replica. I'm so in love with that one, but its way too masculine for me. I want a feminine version of it.
(((If you know of one, please message me. TY ツ)))
I read the notes of this one and thought "Yes, this must be it". Whelp, this isn't an airy watery fresh "Aquatic" beach scent.
I do, however, like it, but in a different sort of way.
•This gives me Evening out at ever so chilly San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf vibes.
It opens very perfumy.
Top notes: (Still at Fisherman's Wharf in the afternoon) You walk into some little posh jewelry souvenir shop, with cedar wood floors, glass displays with Turquoise bead bracelets for sale. The shop is decorated in nautical decor. Octopus towel hangers, starfish paper weights, and that whole store scent is a nice mall perfume. That's the opening.
Middle: You continue walking around the shops. The sun is bright, you walk into the pier and stop to enjoy the Seabreeze (this isn't beach its deep dark Pacific ocean). You've been out all day, your body is a tad sweaty and salty from all the walking, its now getting dark and you're tired and hungry. You and your company decide on outdoor dining.
Dry down: Its chilly, but your table is by the outdoor heaters. They serve your table calamari and oyster appetizers, and you ask for a dry white wine. You sit back and take in the outdoor lights, the soft music in the background, and simply enjoy the moment with your company.

This is an adult Northern California, Pacific ocean evening out with friends or family. Its a nice Like.
Not the recipe I was looking for with these ingredients, but who wouldn't enjoy a nice little serving of this every now and then in the summer? ツ

I didn't spray too much, but the sillage is about arm's length. It lasts about 4 hours then turning into a skin scent.
I don't love it, but I don't dislike it. The perfume opening scared me, but I let it settle on my skin a bit. The perfume vibe never really leaves, but it isn't too domineering throughout the life of the wear. That's why to me this isn't a Beach, Sailing, or Pool scent. Its a walk by the ocean with Marine Life vibes.
Hope this helps (◠‿◠✿)

ScentBliss555

I want to say the reviewers below have given great detailed first impressions. I was not expecting this at all. Marine scents I like give seascape vibes. Aqva Divina gives fish market near the sea port vibes. It's a very dry, powdery/dusty fragrance that evokes dark skies and cold ocean water. Absolute niche, avant garde qualities. Very wierd at initial spray. It starts as a blast of make-up countertop smells but quickly settles into fishy, animalic territory. After 10 minutes it recoils back into a perfumy cloud and it's pleasant enough as a skin scent. It's interesting but I don't have an appreciation for this scent. It seems like the type of perfume that needs to grow on you or not at all. I'm hoping my bottle settles from transportation and the formulation gives me something different on the next try 😅

Edit: First impressions can be wrong. I still get something screechy in the opening but the drydown is every other
positive reviewer's impression. I've been reaching for this every day since I got it which is hardly ever the case. It's a nice break from gourmand and floral patchuli perfumes.

Search and Discover

Sunny amber. I liked this a lot more after the drydown. Upon first spraying, it was a cloud of Perfume Counter horror and I was worried. A minute later, on my skin it turned to a salty and austere scent that resembled a generic candle called something like "beachwood" or "dune mist" or "driftwood," which is of course nothing that a person would wish to smell like. Luckily, about an hour later it changed completely on the skin and clothing to a sweet, creamy amber perfume that I can only describe as a stargazer lily scent. Much better at that point. Reminds me a little of Allure, which I used to wear almost 20 years ago, but Divina would be the more mature cousin.

xValerijax

I was not sure about this perfume when I tried it so I gave it to my mom. She loves it, its her favorite smell. After smelling it in the air on her I realized how amazing this perfume is. It is so classy, clean and it does make you think of being on a white sandy beach. It has a rich holiday paradise kind of quality.

It smells otherworldly, it mixes bitter peppery notes with salt and a fancy soap which is a bit polarizing when you smell it up close but in the air it just smells like peppery salty freshness with a citrusy kick. Its so different!

And the bottle! This is the most beautiful bottle I have ever seen for a perfume, I was attracted instantly just for the bottle. Its really sad that they don't put more effort into presentation anymore. All the newer "niche" perfumes have such boring "minimalistic" or downright cheap bottles, but are somehow worth a ridiculous amount of money?

Also, this perfume lasts and projects.

So, in conclusion its great!

After reading countless reviews of Aqva Divina and then trying it myself, I finally understand why it seemed to defy description. Forgive me for yet another review that falls short of adequately translating this scent into language.

From the look of the bottle I was expecting a scent similar to a combination of Nivea cream + sunscreen. I could not have been more wrong. For all of its marine attributes, Aqva Divina is dry to the point of desiccation, to the point of dustiness. It's salty sandy dust coating the surface of everything lining the shore. There's an herbal bitterness and a balsamic resinous quality that remind me of sage and myrrh respectively.

Despite the bitterness, the wood here is rounded and smooth, not sharp, and again dusty more than powdery. It smells like the far FAR dry down of several woody men's colognes, in that musky, dustiness, with the faint whisper of something that once looked like tart citrus but has worn away into a dim greenish yellow fleck of sea glass or Baltic amber amongst the grains of sand. Aqva Divina is very niche feeling both in concept an execution, absolutely not feminine, does NOT match the bottle or the marketing at all, and yet I am slowly starting to fall for it after a period of uneasiness and hesitance.

Another reviewer described it as "edgy" and I definitely agree. There is a certain freshness here that my husband identified as soapy, but it's not like bar soap soapy so much as the way frankincense can have a soapy facet. And as another reviewer observed, there is an incense-like quality, but there is a certain indescribable aspect to this scent that makes me astounded that Alberto Morillas won the brief.

It does not smell remotely like any other scent I have tried before, and yet I feel compelled to call it the granddaughter of Dior Dune and Laura Biagiotti Roma, not because it smells similar, but because it is a similarly introspective, even somber riff on a salty, mineral, herbal, woody, ambery landscape. There a continuation here of the dialogue between cold stone, salted dusty dried plants with beige-toned florals and a pale amber that made Dune such a compellingly sad beauty. This is the niche reinterpretation for modern minimalist sensibilities.

If you enjoy scents like the original Alaia, the original Eau des Merveilles, Dune, Roma, Ormande Jayne's Tolu, Bass Solo from Vagabond Prince, or eau D'iparie from L'Occitane, you may enjoy this unique offering from Bvlgari as well, but don't expect anything typically aquatic, feminine, easygoing or tropical. It is more like a sea breezy draft in an ancient tomb.

lydiadelites

This is pure delight. I've been a long time lurker on this platform and this is the perfume that made me join just so that I could rave about it a little bit. I wouldn't say this was a complete blind-buy, I read enough reviews and searched youtube plenty, to see what the overall consensus was. And in most all cases people either really enjoyed it or proceeded to throw it directly into their trash. There wasn't a middle ground here.

I know enough about my fragrance journey to know that I like things that smell atypical. So, if you like fragrances that charm you and surprise you... well then, you may have just found a little hidden gem. I'm going to admit that I'm not a soapy scent lover but that's what I initially get from this. However, if this is the case, it's the most delightful soapy scent that I now have in my collection. It's clean in an alluring way. Yes, I'd venture to say it's sexy but it's lighthearted, it's not serious. Sure, you could wear it to the office - it's safe - but this is unique enough that it's going to stand out a bit and make it's presence known. I just wouldn't go ham with the spritzes if you find yourself preparing to be in a professional setting. Let it be a mermaid - it doesn't need to be a siren.

It's tart, the quince and the bergamot really stand out on my skin. The woody notes smell a bit more like the sweetest/freshest/cleanest incense and they really blend quite nicely with the citrus. And I do get a bit of the salt - as if I've just sprayed my hair with a salt spray - it's definitely not overbearing, it's feminine and refreshing. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will say this is only suitable for Summer but the tartness seems to really stand out in the cold weather. I can see this being an all year around scent.

I've not worn it enough to speak on longevity - but the reviews here show promise - so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that this performs well. Yay for a fragrance that I was a little bit nervous about - this checked all of the right boxes for me!

theuntrainednose

I have a sample.

---

Unusual clean scent. I like it, but it may not be a crowd pleaser.

I feel it balances a little spiciness, some energy, some slight powdery saltiness, some vague fruity freshness. Mostly, it does not smell of the sea but gives the impression of walking on dunes near the sea on a cool day, among dryish plants and on old wood planks.

I would like to own it because of what it suggests me.

Perfume_Lover99

A secret green trail lines a hidden beach like Discovery Park in Seattle. Shimmering sunlight cuts through the salty freshness of the ocean and bakes the driftwood lying around the shoreline. Marine life and seagulls go about their normal days expressing their contentment with life with splatters and squawks. Waves of the sea glide about the shore in rhythmic patterns and an abandoned, wise lighthouse calmly breathes in the beauty that surrounds it

jmembreno

Blind buy, it lasts and projects very well but now I know that I don't like salty notes at all, the wood part smells like a pencil, when it dries it feels like a salty caramel, very borring to me

Dorothy812

I don’t know about this one. I got a full bottle on a whim, because I generally like Bvlgari and they’ve never steered me wrong. But there’s something about this one that doesn’t sit well with me.

I’m smelling it again on paper and it doesn’t smell bad by any means. I can smell the saltiness, citrus and ginger, and though it gives me a bit of a headache it’s not unpleasant. On my skin, it transforms into a monster. Triggers a migraine and makes me feel dirty. I have to find it a new home.

aycanfeels

@cherelune I just did the same. This scent is sooo unique.

cherelune

@aycanfeels, I believe it has been discontinued. I only finally got one recently from someone selling her barely used bottle.

aycanfeels

Okay okay it may be salty and the bottle shape is pearly tho I feel this scent is super warm that goes super harmonic to WINTER! Idk why but I used it last winter and LOVED it. I just can't find it anywhere. Did bvlgari stop producing it?

Aromantra

This is more of an experience and an unleashing of memories than a perfume. It masterfully evokes a beach vibe without typical marine notes. I had an immediate visceral reaction when I first tried it and was instantly transported to a bright sunny coast!

Initially, you get fresh bergamot, salt and ginger. The ginger here is thankfully NOT spicy, just subtle and somehow mimics warm sand. The salt note is airy/delicate and compliments the other notes (unlike the dreadful Olympea, sorry to fans of that one*). The beeswax is comforting and holds it all together, making it the true star here - giving everything a creamy dreamy familiar quality.

The whole thing is like a warm memory mixed with the sun-kissed skin of your lover. I mostly wear it for myself as an aromatherapy comfort scent. It's 100% unisex and I think it would be amazing with a man's skin chemistry. My best risky blind buy to date.

JustSimpleThings

It's interesting - salty, woody and I also get a big dose of fig (quite green, not sweet or jammy at all)! The ginger is definitely prominent. It sort of gives me a crystallized ginger with lots of salt plus 'someone is peeling fresh figs, so the scent is in the air' vibe.
It's definitely quite a cold scent, like the scent of the air on an oceanic beach. Also quite womanly without being feminine - this is what I imagine Mugler's Womanity may smell like.

Fragaddict123

A different take on the aqva line
I still believe the original is the best
But this one is different
It’s salty sweet and a little spicy
Last for a good time if you overspray
Not groundbreaking but worth trying

icylady

This perfume definitely smells like a beach. I think it's a sharp scent. I definitely get the salt and ginger notes. Minutes after I spray it I also sense some underlying soft kind of like a clean pillow smell It's hard to explain. And I think there is a masculine side to this perfume probably because of the sharpness that comes from salt and ginger.
I do not have migraine but I think this might induce migraine if it's used at a wrong time.
Weirdly this goes super well with Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion body spray. I once made this combination accidentally but people seem to love it.
I am in my 20s but I think it would be more suitable for women over 30 maybe. But if you love it that doesn't really matter!

dogmeat

I love the opening of Aqva Divina...all that salty ginger is beautiful. I do get the other notes listed here, though. The citrus and florals are light and just a touch sour. The amber and beeswax make for a clean, creamy base. This makes me think of sun-kissed skin...warm and beachy.

This is fresh, but not aquatic, nor is it really sweet. This is a standout...so different from many other designer fragrances today. Again, that salty ginger is perfection to me. I think this is suitable for anyone, anytime, anyplace. Love this stuff!

eaudeviv

For some reason it reminds me of Un Jardin Sur La Lagune. I know the notes differ, but nevertheless. Quite original and rare. Still can't figure out when to wear.

beatricemichelleperez

I hate this with a passion of a 1000 burning suns. Mainly because it burned my nostrils. It came out very "spicy" from the start when I was looking for a scent that reminded me of the ocean or beach. This just came out strong and gave me a headache. Maybe I got a bad batch but dear lord, this isn't soft or beachy in any way, just manly and "peppery".

joliecat

I found this fragrance when I was searching for a gift for my friend. She is looking for a beachy scent. She loves sharp, fresh scents. I love powdery scents. I kept Aqua Divina for myself since she said it was much too powdery for her. This perfume is softly salty, a little sandy, with pretty flowers in the dry down. It smells similar to the salty hair sprays that are supposed to give your hair "beachy waves". I lived on Pacific and Atlantic beaches for a few years. This perfume doesn't remind me of the beach at all, but it's a very pleasant fragrance. Sweet, feminine, and ladylike, it projects at arm's length for the first 30 minutes, then lasts for at least 8 hours as a very close to skin scent. Great for the office, non offensive. I love it and plan to get a backup bottle !

bectravaglini

Initially smelt this years ago and loved it, but never purchased. I bit the bullet this year and grabbed a bottle on sale, and was so let down, this smells like straight up sweat on me. Lucius Smellfoy was bang on the money with his review - it smells like an old Birkenstock. Not sure whether it's just my skin chemistry or if it just goes too hard on the salt and beeswax, making it smell like a sweaty shoe.

sallyming

I love it. Like what the other reviews said, the name is befitting to the smell. It really made me imagine of the Birth of Venus.

Forbiddenjade

Aqva Divina is a very befitting name for this amazing creation.

It has a decisively marine feel, with an opening fantastically salty - who' d have said! - that immediately transports you onto the beach. It is spring though - the heat hasn't yet cooked shells, fleshy debris landed ashore from the sea, and there's no algae around either, rotting under the sun whilst emanating its characteristic smell.
This is iodium, that which one can breathe in lightly breezy days. If you ever lived near the sea you know what that smells like. Big player of chemistry - alike a chameleon!

Upon first spray I was zapped onto such beach, alone, the vast space staring back at me. In the silence of the rising daylight, I tasted the salt, and caught a whiff of driftwood. Suave! Every time I feel tired, I spray on my arms Aqva Divina and zap! am off to the beach for a walk alone, in a beautiful place, the sun just greeting me from the edge of the horizon.

10/10 from me, obviously!
I layer it with Eau Parfumee' au The Vert for a massive pick me up and burst of joy.
Love it, but mind - it is big on salt, really you must like that note to appreciate this number. Great longevity (on me it lasted a good 10 hrs, going to skin scent after 3) and projects decently for the 1st hour - then reapplication may be needed to prolongue the opening stage.

fragrances-fanatic

This is a rare gem. Where do I begin? The outstanding packaging design is a visual reflection of Aqva Divina's singularity and beauty. The flat, seashell like bottle feels wonderful cupped in the hand, smooth and cold like sea glass.

As for the juice, it is beguiling and intoxicating. Other reviewers are right about the overall beachy feel. Something in the opening smells like a vintage perfume to me, but it's fleeting. Next you get the sunscreen vibe, but it's the nicest one I've ever experienced (not headache inducing as some can be). The magnolia is identifiable and heady. BUT OMG THE DRIFTWOOD NOTE IS AMAZING - I could wear just that note on its own! No coconut here (thank goodness). Every once in a while I get a whiff of quince and it's awesome.

This is sophisticated, not for the young girls. But this is not old smelling either.

I haven't smelled Sand & Sable in years but methinks there might be similarities because my mind went to Sand & Sable as it opened up. Aqva Divina is much more sophisticated though.

I feel as though I have uncovered a diamond buried in the beach sand. Now I have to get back up bottles.

I feel like a queen when I wear this...powerful, elegant, in control, yet feminine. I can't stop smelling my wrist.

stacia79

Salty scent done right. I agree that this is the smell of mermaid skin. Musky ginger, soft beeswax, ocean air... this is sure to get compliments! It's incredibly unique. The bottle is beautiful, lies flat like a shell you found on the seashore. Drydown is salted driftwood. Would work anytime of the year but would shine most in the summer with tousled beach hair and sunkissed skin. It is strong so be careful not to overspray. Very long lasting. If you're looking for a beach scent but are tired of the sunscreen coconut cliche... this is what you need to try.

Kath Grace

Totally unique fragrance. It took me a couple of wears for my nose to appreciate this. It will be one that I reach for often. Just love this! Its hard to describe. Spicy and aquatic. Love it.

Lucius Smellfoy

UPDATE: decided to give this tricky little pearl one more shot tonight as I crawled into bed before giving it away. Very happy to say I have been enchanted by this sea salt siren. This time around it’s much more pleasant, no dirty foot to be found (maybe I was the dirty foot last time). It’s light, salty, watery, and vaguely floral. I am a convert, I like this. Disregard my original review as I have decided I am full of shit and not to be trusted.

Smells like an old Birkenstock...

I really wanted to love this one because of the adverts and the bottle. The listed notes appealed as well. I mentioned this smells like an old Birkenstock and I mean it. I used to work in a shoe store when I was younger, something in this smells like the cork sole of a Birk and the sweaty foot that left it’s dirty imprint. There’s a hint of something pleasant that keeps me checking to see if I actually hate this like I think I do but it’s fleeting. Overall I think it’s a sweaty mess on me, I’d like to smell it on someone who thinks it works on their skin.

PureLight78

This is a nostalgic fragrance for me.... It has 90's unisex aquatic vibes in the best possible way. This conjures up images of being on a boat or pontoon in a marina. Sea salt, warm sun on waxed wood, warm skin with suntan lotion, and a smell of glossy magazine pages being idly flicked through on deck. It's playful, elegant, and could be worn by men / women or nonbinary pals! A sexy & chic spring/summer scent.

fangpili

This is an intimate sillage scent and does not really project. It is soft and subtle with a slight jagged edge; it smells to me like crushed sea shells on a windy, warm Summer evening beach. I enjoy the soft salty scent but this is so light on me, at least currently (in Winter) that it is barely discernable. I can see how this would be easy to wear on a Summer's day with light clothes and a casual, relaxed atmosphere. I like this one but will wait until Summer to see if it learns how to bloom. I cannot detect any ginger note in this at all and it is not especially woody but lightly reminiscent of driftwood

Villo5

just soo pretty. unusual and not for everyone, but if it works on your skin its gorgeous!

Joani_Cheddar

I really love this fragrance - like really really love. Ginger & Salt - marvelous!!! Woodsy & Marine tones - this uncommon combination is spectacular in my eyes. I can not wait to wear this gem in the summer - o wait... i dont wait, I spray it on all the time because I find it divine. I think I am just amazed that I actually like an aquatic fragrance. My fragrances of choice are usually heavy silage beasts of the gourmand or oriental floral nature. creamy bergamot salt is the strongest scent from this fragrance which I suck through my nostrils every chance I get. Smelling it now. :)

valevaleria

This is not for everyone, but still great. Makes me feel distinguished and unique. Floral and salty. I could picture myself having dinner out in summer somewhere near the beach.

mapache

Spent time with this one today, after "ignoring" it for a long time. The first sniff, reminded me of why I own this....GEM !!

Quince/magnolia....smooth beeswax/honey.... light salt and ginger.....bare woodsy vibe....
Kinda fresh....."white" smelling if that makes any sense....But it has depth and I find the performance pretty decent.
In the dry down I get more of the sweeter vibes....magnolia/honey/quince and amber.....with the woodsy being underneath.
Under-rated gem...IMO.

The sky is grey and the sun is barely visible. The wind blows wildly, the Pacific is uneasy, the waves are huge. The white sanded californian beach is almost empty. A white dressed, blonde young girl is walking on the beach barefooted. Her hair is messy from the wind, but she isn't cold. She still feels the warmth of the sand under her feet. She is smiling as she makes her way on the empty beach. This is the image that runs through my mind when i smell this on my skin.

It was yet another blind buy for me and it is the only time that it is turned out well! This is such a refreshing, subtle yet powerful scent for the late summer-early fall daytimes. On the first spray on my skin the salt is what i instantly smell - not the other two! They are not even present on me. Then i leave it alone for a good 5 minutes and then in comes the fruit and the magnolia. The salt is almost like consumes them to make them a little stronger, to let their juices, their aroma out. I never much was a girl for fruity-white flowery smell but this combination somewhat not just works out well for me, but i even like it. Then in comes the amber and the woody notes. The salt is present all the time. It is like the maestro of this thin, very little orchestra and it does it's job very well. It is a very pleasent, refreshing but not narcisstic way so that i turn heads. I just make myself visible from the crowd, but stay on the sidelines, let other do the real work. But i am there and im happy with my place.

It is a scent for cold late summer afternoons and early fall for all day. It is for girls who are a little bit conservative in their dressing, subtle and little bit perhaps introverted and sporty. It is refreshing and not extravagant.I absolutely recommend it for girls who are a little bit wise-beyond-their-ears and just in for college, who wear blazers with sneakers and wear wrist watch with them, and they have some kind of solitary sport as a hobby. (Im not even nearly this type.) At least that is what i imagine when i think about what kind of girls i would recommend this perfume to, there it is! It is too thin for night wear though.

cho-ku-rei

Love this. Honeyed salty amber. Somewhat animalic on me. Rather sophisticated, cool yet warm, balanced and neutral. Longevity and sillage seem to vary depending on where it is sprayed; in the inside of my elbow (weaker) versus around the neck/throat (stronger); lingers more on fabric rather than skin; but dries down to become a beautiful skin scent. It is stronger and longer-lasting than I generally expect from an EDT.

frusia

Aqua Divina is salty, but also creamy and powdery. Almost gourmand, but not quite so - a bit like unbaked pastry.

It's a nice scent, the bottle is a good illustration of it: pearl and gold. Rounded and gentle, but also metallic and mineral. Not an aquatic, but it is slightly marine.

Despite its gentleness Aqua Divina is not a safe blind buy, the salty notes can be tiring, but beautiful for the right person.

SailorV

I like Aqva Divina, but I can see why it was discontinued so quickly, even though it didn't deserve that fate. It's a little uncommon and maybe not quite what one would expect from Bvlgari.

The opening has a hint of a sweaty note for about 2 seconds, then it's very fresh and fizzy. I can really smell the quince, but also some citrus and the zingy ginger. I enjoy how it's very fruity and juicy, but neither very sweet nor too sour. Just refreshing with a salty sea breeze. Summer holiday vibes without smelling like a sugary cocktail.
After a while it turns even more salty, the slightly bitter woods and the beeswax become noticeable. This beeswax is not honey-sweet, but gives the scent a waxy texture. I can't say that I get a lot of magnolia from this, maybe a little bit to round it out, but this is not a floral fragrance.
It's an innovative blend of a fruity summer scent and the salt note trend of the last decade. To me this is completely different from other salty fragrances like Olympéa or Reveal, as it doesn't have much warmth or sweetness.
It's not quite my usual style, too woody and cool for me, but certainly interesting and likeable. This could also easily be unisex, despite the pretty, feminine pearl bottle.

annelisemaurer2560

Easy and gentle, not much going on, salty fresh little rosebuds and water.
Great for summer days when you want fresh but are tired af of citrus.

FaeZeh

You know that feeling when you think you know something or someone, but it just doesn't click ,it's that feeling with aqva divina, and I LOVE IT...

She's cool..a natural beauty in casual, simple attire. She's confident and totally in peace with herself, which is full of contradictions. So she smells of sharp salty ginger when you first meet her, then smells of a dry breeze of magnolia when you're getting to know her, and then she starts to smell like cozy amber with a sour twist when u become friends....it's like at every stage just when you believe u've figured it out something pops up to contradict it, you think u're there, but not quite...in that sense it reminds me of womanity, but I like aqva divina more because of its subtlety...it's not your typical aquatic or tropical sweetness, definitely edgier than those, so beware...

cutsie587

This is a light, feminine, salty, white floral that is breathtakingly beautiful! It stays close to the skin, and there is nothing sweet or heavy about it. It is perfect on me.

DT953

I had a 10mL of this for years before I decided to bite the bullet and spring for a full bottle. She's absolutely gorgeous but I had problems with longevity. Turns out, however, this lasts amazingly in the winter time and I seem to get all of the main points of the pyramid. It starts out a little zesty, then moves into mildly cedar-y salty floral territory and lasts for at least 8 hours with a beautiful salty sweetness. Absolutely beautiful. Really starting to love Bvlgari a bit more nowadays. This is a really individual fragrance that doesn't smell like much else out there!

AvaMay

I blind bought it last week after hearing that this would be a nice summer scent, with a very good projection and naturally, after reading many reviews here that were positive about it.
Since I don’t really have many summer scents, but quite a few actually, and its price was very decent, I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did!

Aqva Divina is only my third Bvlgari perfume and the second best by now. I liked it from first sniff - at first, it opens quite sweet and powerful (could not really distinguish any notes), somehow in the Bvlgari house style.

After this first sniff I thought - wow, this is definitely not a summer scent. However, after only 20 minutes or so it developed into a cooler, colder scent - unisex I might say - and remains like this for few hours. During this period I started to sense the quince, the magnolia, a bit of ginger and sweet honey along with salt. Salt, which is the key ingredient here that I was searching for and I’m glad I found it. From my point of view is the main note that makes it so wearable during summer. Otherwise I believe it would be too sweet.

Moreover, after a few hours, what’s left on my skin is a salty, sweet but bright, fresh feeling. It’s literally like I perfumed with any sweet scent, took a long relaxing swim into the salty sea and then, while getting out of the water this is how I’m smelling. So, for me, The Birth of Venus image is truly the perfect description of this perfume. Bvlgari brought seaside to my house and I thank them for that!

Silage is moderate and longevity is also moderate (3-4 hours), not very long lasting, on me at least. But I don’t mind - I don’t like too much silage, both on me or on others. I consider a perfume to be an extremely personal thing and as long as I’m feeling good that’s ok- I don’t see the need to “impress” others with too much perfume. For me it’s kind of a good sense, good education and decency ultimately - to how much perfume one uses.

All in all, Aqva Divina is a summertime scent, clear, bright, with a salty sweetness touch that makes it very elegant and serene at the same time. For me, it’s a blind purchase I’m glad I made. It’s distinct from any of the scents I have and have smelled. Probably it won’t be on the “Adore perfume list” but I’ll be happily waring it this summer during the daytime, thus feeling closer to the seaside.

livelovelaugh0810

someone told me this perfume smelled like the dry down of olympea, so I blind bought it. it does not. this smells really unisex and not sweet at all like olympea, but that was expected. i don't know how to describe this scent, but it took me a couple usages to warm up to it.definitely not something mainstream or common out there. the ginger notes are very strong in this fragrance and i personally don't smell the "citrus" aspect of this scent. it smells like old violin paint or maybe a sour smelling wooden box. but i get what people are saying when it smells elegant. it really depends who's wearing it. a classy woman in a white blouse would really bring the best out of this this, but if some noisy teen wore it, I'd just think she lives in a old cottage or something. who wears this could totally change what type of vibe this scent provokes. tbh it's pretty addictive, but not something i'd gravitate to which sucks because I was so excited for this. it's not bad. just not what i expected.

food.is_life

This scent is very elegant, clean but also a bit sensual and warm, because of the salt, magnolia and quince. The combination of these 3 notes gives to an otherwise generic soapy composition a very feminine and delicate feeling. While Womanity from Mugler smells just like being next to the sea and Olympea smells like a dessert being eaten at the beach, the salty aspect of Aqva Divina makes you feel like you spent all day at the beach, went back to the hotel for a shower and now you put on an elegant outfit to go to dinner. Aqva Divina smells very Bvlgarish, it has the elegance all of their scents have.

adrienn99

It looks like some people got carried away by the promotion material suggesting the ocean :) not to me. I would not say this is salty but I'd say it's fortunately lacking the sugar DNA of many designer fragrances these days which make my stomach turn sadly.

To me, Aqua Divina is a nice summary fragrance, given the perfectly balanced magnolia, citrus and discernible quince. The nose even added a nice twist with the ginger and depth with the amber/woods.It lasts for quite a few hours which is impressive for the genre.

All in all, Aqua Divina is an elegant fragrance, fitting a confident, feminine woman who does not need sugary perfumes given she is looking sweet already :P

Conclusion: I should have bought the bigger bottle.

Gummybear002

This salt and ginger combined are absolutely intoxicating. I wish this lasted longer and was more noticeable to bbn other, but it takes me away. It almost smells exotic and historic at once.

Aleauv

smooth salty beeswax meant for sunsets at the beach, the beeswax is so smooth and lingers for hours,it is my first time smelling a salty fragrance and this one is realist and crisp, it evoques walking barefoot on a sunset, enjoying the last bit of golden sunshine, feeling the salty breeze on your hair, extremely sensual , Love .

Moreluvr

Salt. Fake ocean smell of some sort. First bottle of perfume that I threw in the trash. I'm always hopeful and try many times before I give up on blind buys. Nearly always keep them to revisit. Just didn't work.

Anast4s1a

Splashing waves, wind, salt... and the sea foam...
Hot sand and a refreshing breeze.

The perfume- bottle obviously refers to Botticelli's painting "the Birth of Venus " - a white pearl as a symbol of female beauty & the birth of Beautiful.
The aroma of a summer, aquatic, beach. First, in the top notes of the fragrance i hear sea salt, bergamot and wood, as in men's morning aftershaves. A little harsh, tart, but very nice
Unusual.
I like the interplay of quince, ginger and beeswax here. Not trivial, smells of Italy.
I am delighted with Aqva Divina, I look forward to next summer, I'll put it on a long scarf, stand on the rock & i'll send to the world a fragrant plume of Divine Water...

Bouquet

First time: tried, it loved it. Second time: tried it, too salty. Today, I tried it again and it is lovely. I've decided that with my chemistry it works better in cooler weather. it's probably the amber and ginger notes. To me, it smells like a collection of dappled white seashells and driftwood that waft back memories of happy carefree days at the beach.

amariahb

I love this fragrance. There are freshness, sweetness and marine aspects to this. The bottle design is wonderful and easy to use.

Unfortunately, I wish it lasted longer. On me, I lasts 4 - 5 hours on my skin. If I place it on my clothes it lasts a longer. If I want something to make me relax, this is my go to perfume. It never goes sharp, but it is a well-rounded and executed perfume.

I have over 300 perfumes in my collection. To me, it is quite unique and really lovely. It is definitely worth a try. There are some great specials and packs in Chemist Warehouse presently.

octobertragedy

Outstanding bottle! Reminds me of a shell on a beach. The fragrance inside smells like ocean water waves on a fine sandy beach. Nothing extremely exotic, but very salty, algae and marine. I agree is one of the best designer fragrances of the last decade. Smells like wet sand and waters, with a floral background in a luxurious and lush way, if it that makes sense.
Reminds me of Goldea The Roman Night and Olympea from Paco Rabanne.
It develops better on higher temperatures, cold makes it kind of sharp and bitter.
A unique fragrance for those who like salty, marine, non-linear and out of the ordinary summer scents!

ladyjm89

This isn’t your typical coconut, suntan lotion beach scent. It’s classy, elegant. I find it’s very unisex as well which I adore. Something about that vibe just draws me in. Once the notes have meshed with your chemistry and the fragrance has softened into a skin scent, this will smell uniquely different on everyone. It opens with a blast of ginger followed very closely by a heavy salt note. The dry down balances out to reveal the bergamot and quince which are tempered by the florals and amber. I don’t really get the beeswax note on my skin. The entire effect is spicy aquatic. Not straight up ocean water, more like sweat under a spritz of cologne followed by a refreshing dip in the sea. It’s not an absolute favorite of mine as I tend to favor gourmands, but this is a masterpiece in its own right.

Scent 8/10
Sillage 5/10
Longevity 6/10

Andorinha

Such a beautiful salty perfume, feminine without sweetness, the sea and the sun - warm and cool, dry and aquatic at the same time. I would love to feel it constantly but on my skin longevity is not great unfortunately, after a couple of hours on a hot summer day I can´t find a trace.

Kaamos

Recently bought this and it seems to be quite a head turner. I always enjoyed the dry salty quality of it, it reminds me of collecting seashells at sandy beaches which is one of my favorite things to do on vacation. Also got complimented on it by two different guys at work so all in all good purchase.

Jmalone84

Ginger, citrus, salt and woods. Such a sexy beachy scent. Very fresh but also nicely spicy and dry. Has that same something all of my favourite bvlgari fragrances have, like the original bvlgari omnia-the brown one now also discontinued. Think it might be the ginger and spices and woods. Except this is stronger and cleaner with citrus. I wouldn't agree that this is masculine. At a stretch a guy could wear it sure, but this smells like a chic sexy modern woman. Bought this on the cheap since it's discontinued and I'm pretty pleased.
The bottle design is pretty too, I imagine it's supposed to be like a pearl, a hidden treasure you would find in a shell at the bottom of the ocean. It really suits the fragrance.

Sabretoothkitten

Huh maybe were in the minority but I also really like this. It has a delicate floral/ seaspray scent that turns almost slightly oriental amber. I kept smelling oriental notes and looking around, turns out it was this after an hour.
Good summer beach scent and pretty bottle. I'm a fan of Bvlgari in general but this has more in common with the Olympea line imo.
I am either becoming more fond of ginger notes lately, or they are downplayed on my skin. Anyway I'm loving this and Classique but sadly, no Twilly.

amarcord99

I was looking for a fresh fragrance with character to replace my beloved D&G Light Blue, which has become far too popular in my country. Aqva Divina is actually divine on my skin, a strong woman scent, which I could even refer to as a tad masculine. Perfectly fine by me! Longevity is not great but it's ok for a EDT.

HillTop

Overwhelming bergamot is my first impression. I was so curious to try Aqva Divina and was expecting something airy and fresh. It is not. This heavy bergamot is oldish and reminds me on old lady soap in a even more older guesthouse.

It's true it gets softer when it settles but the bergamot is still on top. I'm sorry but I can't find any of
fruity woody floral notes. Where are they? Spicy - yes. Citrus - yes. If you expect a salty modern perfume be careful. The only modern thing bout this one is the bottle.

xoxoMyke

Aqva Divina has such an upscale, high quality, beautiful presentation. It's probably my favorite in recent years.

The scent, itself, is like a very luxurious soap... it's a sharp cedar, ginger, and salt fragrance with slight (and I do mean slight) powdery sweetness. Something about this is so searingly fresh, without being cloying like Sauvage or even my beloved Womanity.

Really a great fragrance with a mature slant that truly straddles a unisex scent. I purchased the giftset and body mist. My favorite is the bar of body soap... oh, my whole bathroom smells heavenly after I use it!

Definitely try this out before it's hard to come by. It's very inexpensive - you can purchase the large bottle from eBay for $25. If you don't like it, I'm sure someone else you know will like it!

Holli

I'm surprised by how much I am not a fan of this. Bvlgari is one of my easy houses, and the salty skin scent trend is a fun one. To me though, this just smells all sorts of literal and too masculine for where I'm at. I also really hate the bottle design. Who wants their perfume bottle to lay around like that? I feel like the curve is just asking to be broken. I knew I wouldn't like the bottle, but I thought the scent might be worth it. Not to me. I think this is the fastest I've ever moved something to my swap list.

livefromtexas

I was searching perfumes for a similar perfume to Wood Sage and Sea Salt and this one came up in several places. I never would have tried a Bvlgari for some reason. Some houses just don't strike us, either because of family or geography.
But I'm so glad I tried this! I think this will be one of my go-to scents, not just of the summer, but possibly all year around.

I tend to like more unisex scents, and this one certainly straddles the line of feminine and masculine. Yes, at first it is a salt/ spice (ginger) bomb but it quickly reveals a beachy floral and then settles into a lovely, comforting skin note. It's that last honey-amber ness that makes me think this might be soothing in cooler weather as well. It's a close up sweater smell that I love in men's cologne.

I sprayed this on 6 hours ago - one spray, inner elbow - and it's still got a decent strength to it. I'm so pleased with this blind buy!

Alisaaa131

I purchased a 30 ml in the winter because it was cheap and at the time I thought it was too dry, too sharp, I can understand why people on youtube disliked it!

It's getting warmer outside and I was casually sniffing my bottles and found this one again. It smelled different somehow so I sprayed some on my arm.

It's soo lush and beautiful! The pink pepper and fresh floral reminds me of Miracle by Lancome in a slight way. The salt can be a little strong in the beginning but it gradually fades to a "beachy" scent with some fresh florals in the background. I can smell the quince and the magnolia, they come together so smoothly!

This is a really calming and clean scent, but not in a laundry-clean way. I think it's best for the warmer months as it's still a little too dry to be wearing this out!

This is THE most beautiful bottle I have ever seen, and for the price I'm surprised more people aren't purchasing this!

VikingWoman

This is a beauty of a scent. So elegant and bright and very, very fresh. Initial blast is ginger, spicy fresh ginger. There is some distant salty seanote and a hint something fresh fruity. The heartnote and the base is what really sets this apart from anything I know. It feels so natural and part of me. The ginger slowly fades a little and the beeswax comes out and then it smells like coco nut. Not a cloyingly sweet and synthetic cococnut, but a dry and clean one.
The beeswax stage is very long - around 6-8 hours. Not sweet at all but fresh. The dry out is a real stunner. I put this one on at night, and woke up in the morning feeling like i had gone swimming in the ocean and the salt and musk from my own skin was beaming with freshness.
This really is Afrodites born of ocean foam. The longevity is amazing for something this inexpensive, and that is good considering that I am now utterly addicted to this scent. Wow!

mjhazard23

I bought a bottle, did not like it and gave it away. Divina is the androgynous Queen Mother, Amara the Prince and the rest of the line the royal family. All quality designers. Divina leans masculine and by far the saltiest in the Aqva line. Sex covered in sea salt. Great performance and has garnered several unsolicited compliments. Now I have a backup bottle.

Seducianne

This is unique. It’s what a pirate would smell like. A dewy, salty skin-morphing smell. I can’t call it “green”, not in the perfume notes meaning, but I kind of want to. It’s green like a rainforest, a bit moist, just the slightest bit dark. Shares some tiny something with Hermes - Un jardin apres la mousson, only this one is saltier and sweeter at the same time, and not as breezy. I agree this is borderline unisex. Longevity is great and while an intense version could be interesting, I love how close to the skin this one is. It blends gorgeously and gives you an aura of mystery, because this might as well be the smell of skin bathed in sea water and splashed with ginger ale, or something. Not wimpy, girly or fashion-y at all.

Tigi

This reminds me of Autumn nights on Padre Island, bonfire ablaze and the air heavy with salt on a pulsating breeze, tiny crabs running sideways here and there and the shore dotted with seashells like pearls in the sand. The crisp ginger and sweet, juicy quince dance in a unique accord over the depth of the wood and sweetness of the amber in the base. She does remind me vaguely of my husband's Aqva Pour Homme (the shared DNA is quite obvious to my nose) and I love that one, though like someone else has mentioned, the Pour Homme is by far a stronger, larger-projecting fragrance.
For this one I suspect the warmer it is outside, the more she will completely unfold and shine. As it is on this cool Spring morning, I am nostalgically transported back to the Gulf Coast shores, surrounded by friends and the gorgeous salted air.
Scent: 9/10 probably 10 in warmer temps
Performance (longevity): Moderate. Fair enough.
Value: Good. No complaints about the price for what I've received in exchange.
Sillage: depends largely on application. With 3 sprays, moderate.
A small caveat worth mentioning: I oversprayed this once and made myself nauseous so start out with this one cautiously. She is a beauty, though. Just be careful, folks. ♥

embomb

I love the opening (I could smell everything listed at once, it was beautiful) but unfortunately dried down to a weird musty mildew scent on me. I really thought this would be great for me, but alas, not so much. Bvlgari seems to be hit or miss for me, and this one's a miss.

Pianomelody

This perfume was really a great surprise for me.... it's so fresh, versatile and airy. The salty note always feels in the background, while the other notes are faded. I love this perfume, and it's just right for summer! Very Nice.

Sillage: 7./10
Longevity: 8.5/10
Scent: 8./10

Overall: 8./10

Anteatereatingant

This one is nice, but underwhelming compared to its male counterpart, Aqua (especially Aqua Amara, which it smells most like).

It's like a softened, watered-down version of Aqua Amara, which I didn't see coming, based on the listed notes. If you've tried AA and found it too masculine or harsh, this here is for you. It doesn't project as strongly or last as long, and the strongly clean, citrusy nature of it has been slightly tamed.

The opening smells different to AA, being more salty and sweet - this is where you notice the beeswax and sea salt. Post-opening it's basically AA, but not as strong, with a little extra roundedness.

Overall it's a good perfume, but since I have AA I wouldn't bother getting this one, too.

al.azraq

According to the notes it should almost perfect for me. But it isn't. Instead of see I get this bitter spoiled milk aroma. My skin have issues with Bvlgari in general, so... I think I could have predicted it.

badloser

This is the warm salty sea air at sunset that I always wanted in a perfume. Not sweet! I love that. Windy and clean yet sand-encrusted. It has the same mesmerizing and mysterious quality as Dune, though the two smell very different. A rare perfume-- I wish it lasted longer than 2 hours though.

ReaganRose85

This was a blind buy for me and at $18, I’m really happy with it! It’s an aquatic I’ve never smelled before! I think it’s so unique. Very spicy, salty with a little citrus. Like most Bvlgari perfumes I’ve owned, people don’t really notice it, so it’s just more for me to smell it.

Joys of life

I love this. It’s the perfect adult interpretation of summer. This is a sophisticated salty dry scent with an understated sweetness that feels natural instead of sugared.
Top notes can be too intense or harsh if sprayed too close to the skin and reminiscent of an alchohol free margarita. So spray from 6” away and the nuances become apparent.
It’s fresh-spicy from the ginger, bergamot and quince, warm from the honey/beeswax, and sweet and creamy from the magnolia and woods. The overall dry down is coconutty like milky fresh coconut flesh even though there isn’t any coconut listed in the notes. It’s wonderful in the cold winter air and I can’t wait to try it in the summer heat.
Edit to add: the bottle design is just stunning, the whole package is a bit magical.
One more edit to explain that this isn’t watery. I get more of a sandy feeling from this. Yes, beach, but as in soft golden sand warmed by the sun. Magnolia Champagne. This is now one of my favorite scents.. the more I wear it the more I love it. It’s really unique.

judybikmeit

Opening reminds me of Chanel Chance EDP and dry down is of Chanel Chance Eau De Fraiche.

leda_ripa

I don't know why but to me it seems that Bvlgary perfumes are reminiscent of the vintage perfumes, heavy and mature. I tried out this perfume and it's very sharp.

Selena

I love love love LOVEEE this!!
My mind goes back to when I first crossed paths with this, I had brought 2 new perfumes.
And the sales guy literally stopped me, just to give me a sample, I laughed and told him "I've got 2 new ones right here" he smiled & his response was "trust me you'll be back...
Guess what? He was on the money!!! I got home, and couldn't stop smelling it.
I was all "omg" "yesss it's different" "IT'S SO DAMN GOOD" lol.
I went back to the store on the same day, and purchased my mini 25ml (that's all they had)
The guy started laughing and smirked, because yes, he knew I'd like it.
Now I have my 65ml on my shelf, and another 65ml back up stored away..
You need this ladies! We all do :)
It's salty, sweet, smells a tad honey-ish to my nose.
This develops wonderfully on me. Changes throughout the day, and that's what I love about it.
IT AMAZES ME!
Sillage: 3-4 hours. (Whiffs here & there)
Longevity: 8 hours. ❤️
The perfect summer scent.

If you go to the sea just take this fragrance with you - it is like a part of it.

nx

I grew up in a seaside town in Queensland (AUS) and we would spend all seasons at the beach. Winter was a particular favourite time for me - the water was always cool, the sun always warm (our standard weather days still reached around 22 degrees celsius) and the sand was just the right temperature during the day. We lived not far from the ocean, and when the wind was right, that salty ocean breeze would fill our home.
This fragrance captures the essence of cool breeze on warm sun-kissed skin - it is a warm day, and your feet first contact the cold shore, giving you goosebumps. The second I smelled it I had to have it; it was as if my twelve year old self took over and next second I had my own pearl to take home. I definitely identify the salt and ginger above all other notes, with a lovely warm spice upon the dry down, which ultimately keeps this fragrance classed as an oriental. It is undeniably unisex and resembles the sea breeze flawlessly.
I live a long way away from the sea nowadays, and the carelessness of childhood seems so out of reach, but Divina lets me keep a magical piece of both. As long as I can smell this, my heart will be happy.

ras.kel.5

Unfortunately this EDT smells like laundry detergent on my skin. The ginger is slightly dry and too strong for my liking and the quince is intensely sweet, a combination that does not smell good to my nose. The magnolia gets lost in all this and is barely noticeable.

Overall, this scent is too clean and spicy for my taste. If you like squeaky clean scents then this is a good choice for warm temperatures. It's also perfectly unisex even though it's marketed towards women.

DrNDJas

Beautiful, soft floral at the core, but enough going on at the surface to make this a unique and lovely masterpiece for women. I bought this for my wife and it is heavenly. It has a lightness about it without being weak. I love the fact that it isn’t overly sweet or sickeningly fruity. Everything is balanced and beautiful, just like the lady I love. This is how I want her to smell. Divine, to be sure.

SandyMelak

Am I the only one who smell it as the female version of aqva amara ? :D

This's very nice I only dislike the Ginger note it killed the freshness .
however it's very nice.

enevictor

First a story:

This is one of the female fragrances I really wanted. I knew it smells unisex. I got it for my sister-in-law for her birthday, but since she did not invite me out at least for a drink or by my brother's place at least to eat a few cookies, I KEPT IT FOR MYSELF!!! I should thank her for not inviting me out because I love this fragrance!!! :D :D :D

About Aqua Divina:

When I first sprayed it on my skin I got an oud-citrus smell. This faded away quickly to leave a soft-spicy-aquatic scent. I LOVE IT. To be more precise it is an aquatic-ginger scent. From my point of view, I find it something between GA Acqua di Gio and YSL L'Homme.

Longevity is above a those 2 mentioned and the silage is decent. Gets you through the day.

Great summer scent!

Saeka

Smells niche!!

Beautiful pearl like bottle reminds me that Bvlgari is indeed a jewelry brand.

I bought the 40ml bottle to be able to hold it single handedly and to also put in a small purse to carry around.

Although, the sillage and longevity are very modest, it’s rather great that I don’t have to dilute my favorite winter orientals with anhydrous ethanol to make them wearable in summer. It’s non offensive but stronger than a skin scent perfume. AQVA DIVINA can be worn in both cold and hot weather, difinately unisex, maybe because of the very soft ginger nuance. Especially oriental fragrance lovers would love this jem 〜❤︎

It’s discounted but still available to stock up searching online!!

If you dig aquatic, fresh scents, ignore the naysayers! I chose this scent for my first Scentbird delivery based on the notes alone, and I was not disappointed! This fragrance is a salty sea water gem! This is how I would imagine a mermaid would smell, and I am living for it! Although there are no direct aquatic notes, every note blended together creates a fascinating, fresh summer scent. Aqva Divina is dominated by sea salt, ginger and beachy driftwood (to my nose), blended beautifully with quince and bergamot. The magnolia shines through and can make this scent SEEM floral-dominant (if you focus too hard on it), but for me, it's the magnolia that creates that aquatic aroma. A great daytime spring/summer scent, to be spritzed fresh out of the shower or before hitting the beach, or anytime you need a little pick me up! It could even be worn as a classy, summer date night scent. This scent can be fresh, classy, sexy or even mysterious, depending on the woman (or man) wearing it. It's not in my top favorite fragrances of all time, but I definitely enjoy it and it will have its place in my summer rotation.

Bubbles1964

I'm either on French Riviera or I'm on a Mediterranean cruise, all the women are wearing white, flashing designer labels and perfect teeth. That's what Divina smells like: a wearable, retro (think 80s) chic scent.

Nothing too complicated or really all that interesting for me, but still nice in the summer heat. This is front loaded with ginger and bergamot, then turning slightly floral before it becomes less interesting in the wood base. The salt accord stays throughout the composition.

Surprisingly strong for an EDT - I get a couple of good hours before it’s a skin scent. Sillage and projection stay close.

GourmandGirl

Every single 'salty' perfume i've tried, i hated. The salt note just puts me off hugely... till now.
My goodness this is beautiful!! Instant love!
As soon as i smelt it, it whisked me away to a little cottage garden on a cliff top, right by the beach. I imagined myself sitting there, watching the ocean, taking in the smells... it was bliss!
The salt note is really subtle on me, though definitely noticable, and i get the bergamot and woods, it all adds up to a kind of driftwood type smell, but in the nicest possible way.
It really is beachy, perfect for a hot summer's day. Ok, so it's not the strongest of perfumes, but for £16 for 25ml i don't mind topping it up every hour or so!

Lucyana

A wonderful and different fragrance from the usual summer perfumes. I agree that it could be unisex but more inclined on the feminine side in my opinion. Smell of ginger, salt and quince. But do I feel a discreet smell of ... coconut? I do not know, but anyway it is a more special perfume that does not fit into the aquatic category. It's way too spicy. Oh my God, how much I love spices!

Sevparfumaddict

A masterpiece. Woody in cold time and fabulous sexy summer scent in hot days. The bottle is gorgeous. This is the classy Bvlgari I love !

loveandrainbows03

On me, this scent is like beach sand warmed by the sun. It's very dry and salty when it first enters your nose, but the lovely aquatic magnolia, spicy ginger, and tart quince hit the back of your throat on the finish. It reminds me a bit of Dune, but with a pretty aquatic back end. Perfect for sultry summer evenings, but I also can't wait to see how it performs in cooler weather this fall.

cedar_lea

This is interesting. On me it is primarily a pretty magnolia floral with a bit of fruity quince. However the details keep it out of pretty princess territory and make it something more avant guarde. The opening has a distinctly fishy scent that contrasts with the floral in a way that's not quite seaside atmospheric or skanky just interesting without becoming unpleasant. The dry down is a sandalwood and amber haze that leaves the magnolia in tact.

This is pretty, but never just pretty and always interesting.

maeha.vn

I know it sounds ridiculous, but this is my bf in a bottle. Maybe it had the same fresh spicy accord with Chanel Bleu but it's the salty smell that remind me of him.
When I first smelt it from afar, it carried a fresh melon scent like damp laundry had just been washed. But when I actually sprayed it, I got a splash of sweet salty spicy lemon juice into my nostrils. But I'm glad cuz this phase faded out very fast, or else it would be another oriental scent I'm trying to avoid.
It's long lasting, has a discreet character. For me it's almost like skin scent. I tend to sweat a lot, and it blend well with my skin chemistry for not standing out awkwardly like other floral parfums.

Sailor Pluto

Where to begin!? This is surprising.. the notes appear soft and gentle when you read about them, but when you spray.. wow! That's a powerhouse and a lot more oriental than I expected. It starts off heavy and sweet, almost like a fruitchouli. Then it calms down and there is a note that behaves like a mentholy orange blossom that keeps standing out to me, it may be the ginger note. This is by no means a fresh scent. It will be pleasing to oriental lovers and will be a bit much for those who like aquatic scents.

Selena

Aqva divina you are a one of a kind creation.
I had this 'gem' a while back in a 25ml purse size. I remember the first time I smelt it..
It was heavenly❤️
Definitely a salty, sweet, spicy scent, jeez what a combo, seriously!!
This is in my top 10 for sure.
I repurchased this today in a 65 ml ;) which'll last me a while.
The first bottle was like a marble (quiet cute) however the 65ml bottle literally reminds me of a pearl, in the ocean, surrounded by star fish, dolphins and every other beautiful sea creatures.
It's elegant & sophisticated.
Longevity: 1 spritz 5 to 6 hours.
Imagine another 3 sprays ;)

parfumparfan

This smells like men’s cologne. I don’t get any aquatic notes (water, watermelon, oceanic/marine anything) and instead I find this to be a strong hit of mastic gum and cardamom. It’s very spicy, resinous and woodsy if anything, and definitely not aquatic (nothing like Cool Water or the ilk) and it’s not a summer scent as most aquatics are. I think it’s a unique scent but completely marketed incorrectly. There are better feminine aquatic scents than this for sure.

Ixxy

Schizophrenic in a gooooood way. Strange. Salty and interesting. Love it

Scentedalterego

This one really blooms and performs superb in extreme heat (>35 celsius) and turns out to be a huge compliment getter from men, which I didn't expect since it's such an odd scent at first. Salty, floral, fresh and a balmy, too. Too bad where I live it is almost never this hot, but this will be my favorite holiday scent for sure!

Update: still looooove this years later. Stocked up when it was on sale.

If you see it and enjoy a salt note, get it!

LadyIva

This is a rather unusual fragrance. It starts off very cold-spicy, almost masculine, with ginger as the standout note, but then it softens a bit to reveal the boozy quince. Unfortunately on my skin it doesn't last more than an hour; but this might have to do with the fact that I'm testing it now when its very cold outside (a few degrees below zero), and this fragrance was obviously made to be worn in warmer weather. So I might test it again in a few months, to see whether it would develop better.

AnitaHendricks

What a beautiful warm weather scent! Bergamot, salt and ginger notes open the perfume. Bergamot flies away in the first ten minutes which makes room for the sensual magnolia. Quiche turns this perfume sweeter, which is nice. The base smells woody and blonde. Wonderful!

Miffy8900

My initial thought is: it smells like a salty, beachier, younger sister to YSL Mon Paris ! Same musky, fruity undertone, but of course not identical - not even close - but they have a similar drydown, which I just love. A very musky dry down in both.

I was very hestitant towards this, as I'm not a fan of citrussy, fresh, sporty aquatics, and the fact that I cannot stand ginger.

But boy I'm glad I tried it anyways! Beautiful, but very strong, bergamot opening. Very mediterrenian, and salty. It very quickly dries down and becomes softer, more smooth, and something lemony. I think it is the quince, but I have never smelled a quince, so I'm not really sure how it smells.

After some times it is more like a lighter white floral, with something citrussy - like lemon peel - and salt. Lots of salt. But also something musky, it might be the combination of woods and beeswax. It suit it perfectly, and turns this otherwise sporty, almost masculine, combination very ladylike and feminine. It makes it fresher rather than manly.

If I should describe the fragrance with a feeling or sensation, it would be as skin that has been baking in the sun all day by the sea in southern Europe, and then has had a shower, and in the cooler night goes out for a drink in bare shoulders and a strap dress in a small vacation city in France, such as Saint Tropez. Baked, sunny skin, that has been in the salty water all day, and now are cooled down.

Projects very well and last for ages. Bottle is absolutely stunning, but I think the fragrance smells like something in a turqouise bottle :)

(review from a man, tested on my girlfriend)

Absolute amazing juice from the first sniff till the last. Opens with a very very fresh and bright marine/sea notes with a hint of bergamot and orange peel. Unforunately (?) I can not detect any salty or spicy/ginger notes. ½-1 hour later the sea notes fades away and then come the mid part of the scent which also very lovely. The combination of magnolia and the quince is perfectly balanced and very long lasting. The base is well composed too: creamy, barely sweet woody notes. With less magnolia, maybe this scent easily could be unisex. Good job Mr. Morillas

- classic sping/summer daytime scent, but not too versatile

- sillage is slightly better than average, longevity around 6-7 hours on skin

- safe blind buy

Scent (open, top-mid): 8.5/10 (x2)
Scent (drydown, base): 8.5/10 (x2)
Sillage: 5.5/10
Longevity: 6.5/10
Uniqueness: 7/10
Versatility: 7/10

Total: 7.5/10

Anywho

I agree wholeheartedly with missk; Aqva Divina is a very well done fragrance that is absolutely beautiful and very versatile. Just the right thing to make you feel fresh, clean, polished and smelling wonderful on a hot day.

missk

I very rarely enjoy floral aquatics. There are very few aquatics that I'll even deem worthy enough to touch my skin. Bvlgari's Aqva Divina is one of the best floral aquatics I have smelt in an extremely long time.

If you like ginger as a fragrance note, you definitely need to try Aqva Divina if you haven't already. It's a beautiful blend of salty, citrusy and spicy on my skin, smelling more natural rather than synthetic.

Although marketed as feminine, Aqva Divina could easily transcend the gender boundaries and be worn by men as well as women. If I were ever to move to the Greek Islands I would take a bottle of Aqva Divina with me to scent my Mediterranean journey. It's the kind of fragrance that really blooms in dry heat. Being surrounded by picturesque oceans would only add to this fragrance's tranquil charm.

The drydown features crisp white musk, beeswax and resinous amber. This is a very well thought out fragrance and I am rather disappointed that Aqva Divina didn't quite take off like it deserved. I very rarely see this fragrance in department stores anymore as it has been relegated to the discount stores for next to nothing.

As one might guess, Aqva Divina is a Summer scent through and through. I am also impressed by its bold sillage and above average longevity. This is one bargain bin find that should not be dismissed.

gingervixen

AQVA DIVINA IS A MASTERPIECE. It's definitely among my top 5 favorite fragrances. I swear the first time I smelled it, it was like a slap in my face - but a beautiful, godly slap somehow.

You may expect it to be a light floral ethereal perfume, but the first sniffing welcomes you with a huge blow of ginger and spice. Warm, intense, full of personality, no-time-for-bullshit, love-it-or-hate-it top notes. If you're not used to intense, vibrant, strong scents, you'll not like this one...

And when you're getting used to the ginger and spice of the top notes, there comes a BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL note of magnolia, that makes you think "woah, am I in the middle of a garden of blooming magnolias and I didn't know it?" It's so shocking and so surprising, it's like opening a ginger curtain that gives way to a beautiful garden with the most precious and delicate magnolias, something you could never expect to happen.

And then, after a delicate yet deep walk along a magnolia garden you're welcome by a woody, oriental dry-down that frames the whole perfume with mystery and complexities... The sensation it gives to me is of a forbidden, mysterious elixir that could be only be worn by magical creatures... Spicy, salty, floral, exotic, sensual, dominant, powerful and dreamy!

Yes, we're talking about an impacting fragrance here. No wonder it's called Aqva Divina, I can easily imagine something only a greek goddess would wear. The bottle somehow to me evokes a white silk dress and the gold bracelets Aphrodite would wear... Something that is out of reach to us mere mortals.

lucianaetc

Lovely perfume. I agree with some of the reviews here, it could definitely be used as a unisex perfume (not because it lacks sugary/gourmand notes, i just think the opening is kind of sharp and more on the masculine side when you first spray it). This is not a problem for me really because i thoroughly enjoy masculine oriented fragrances, so that was a pleasant surprise.

The most noticeable notes on my nose are salt, magnolia and bergamot. It smells super fresh and airy for the first hour and then it shifts to a more creamy/woody scent when it dries down.
Sadly, the longevity is quite poor on my skin (five hours top on the inside of my forearm, which is the warmest part), and the sillage pretty much none existent. That would be my only complain.

Beautiful lacquered bottle with a golden cap, reminds me of a pearl or some kind of seashell. It can be perfectly used all year long but i believe it would be better suited for warmer days, thus amplifying the intensity of the notes.

perfumes_addict

The opening is very bold, consisting in woody and masculine notes and I wished that this could last. But somehow, after 20-30 minutes, it becomes quite weak and citrusy and I hate it. It's a total chameleon this one and I would recommend it to someone who likes weak and lemony notes... kind of a car deodorant....

Tapinview

I've become a real fan of salty and sea inspired perfumes as I got familiar with the various notes used to produce the effect. This is an incredible ocean inspired scent, a complete blind buy almost free, absolutely beautiful. It has that zing effect of a plunge in the surf, produced no doubt by the ginger, salt, and citrus. There is a slight haunting sweetness, apparently amber maybe the quince, but more like the somewhat animalic oceanic effect of real ambergris. The bitterness is similar to the great sulphurous grapefruit that I love in say, Pampelune and In Love Again, but cleaner. Awesome perfume. Has sent me on a Bvlgari spree after I had always written them off as too weak and ineffectual. Pondering question....how do perfumers translate the smell of salt from its taste?

ailito44

Indeed divine! Could it be because of salt? Precious here as it is, for me at least, precious in food. I also sense ginger and quince too but it is the combination between them that creates the special perfume feeling, special that can easily turn familiar, no matter how strange. Unlike others who noticed different stages and rather bad turnings, for me it is the same, from beginning to middle phase and fading one. Charming, delicate and classy. Faultless and beyond compare..maybe it shall be discrowned by other interestingly composed salty frags, but since it is the first one of this kind, I hold it most dear and sniff it like a drug

Alces Alces

Unusual floral aquatic. Aqva Divina feels artistically composed, not created with an eye to capturing the mall rat market. The ginger starts off spicy and then mingles with the salty notes. Soon a salty/aquatic accord develops, with just a hint of fresh florals in the background. Aquatic, but not in the obnoxiously fresh way of some aquatics. I am not a lover of aquatics, but I like Aqva Divina. The smell brings to mind the freshness of the beach in winter; it’s a beach scent, but not a tropical beach or a spring break beach. The lingering ginger spice makes this a scent one could wear in the winter without its being too sharp, while the floral aquatics make it a summer scent as well. Unusual in that there is no musk – the beeswax seems to take the place of the musk (even more than the amber), forming the base of this scent. Once it warms up on the skin, it takes on a salty fresh honey feel, very earthy but with the performance of a synthetic, transparent and powerful at the same time like a force field.

The only drawback is that Aqva Divina really places the wearer at the beach or in some relaxing place. Even though sillage is soft, it would be tough to wear this one to work because it keeps whispering, “Relax, take a stroll in the sand.” Weekend or vacation scent. Perfect to wear at a restaurant on the beach while sipping a cocktail.
Composed by the great Alberto Morillas, a master at combining natural and synthetic notes harmoniously. Aqva Divina is a love letter to the ocean written in scent.

supertw94109

This perfume is very sophisticated and unique as due to ginger the first notes come across as sharpish dryiish herbal, then citric peel, then very subtle aquatic notes melt into the skin and projects low. It's a very elegant composition but quiet, mature. It's not sweet, not floral, not fruity, and very low projecting and introverted other than first herbal phase. My cousin thought it smelled harsh but she only like translucent florals, so not recommend for such people. Bought for $24 for 1.3 oz at Ross. The bottle is a flatten pearl white sphere with tapered edges that lays flat on table circle side up, with pretty gold cap. I consider it a good addition to my diverse scents and good for a change of pace. But I can see how many would dislike it.

lulami

Small waves beating the shore and the sea releasing its salty odour while the sunset creates shades of the most beautiful colours, first pink, than yellow and orange that make the blue sky hide amongst them. Sitting on a balcony near the sea and reading a good book, while hearing the sounds the waves produce and wearing this perfume that reproduces almost exactly the smell of sea to me. This is how I feel about this salty and aquatic perfume that is quite singular.

jay1

It's a very sharp prominent fragrance, people around you will either like it or completely dislike it.

Definitely uncommon, not the typical floral or sweet smell a lot of women usually choose.

Right now I haven't really been able to differentiate between the notes, and mostly get the saltiness.

I'm gonna give it a try again and see, it's gotten me intrigued :)

Timmyheather

It does smell like I'd imagine The Birth of Venus would smell, with aquatics and salt and delicate florals, yet introduced with the scent of spice and wood. It's the scents that a masterpiece would be surrounded with, if you smelled paintings.

I feel like Aqva Divina is unique in my perfume collection, because it isn't quite like the summery scents with their mint (Acqua di Gioia) or coconut (Beach Walk), but still belongs to summer just as much. Aqva Divina is spicy, a zippy gingery pepper opening that feels almost masculine, but combines with cedar to stay cool and summery. It dries down into a salty aquatic scent, slowly losing the sharpness in the spice note, but keeping the integrity of the scent. I'm confident wearing this as a woman, but it feels very comfortably unisex to me as well. (Although really, anybody can wear anything they like, right?)

I like this scent. It smells both strange and unique, while feeling familiar. A good composition, worth trying.

Calabash

One of the most saltiest aquatics I've ever come across. This is what I'd imagine a mermaid smells like. Not like Golden and Silver from The Lure. More like Madison from Splash. The ginger, salt and bergamot give it a lovely edge. Actually, the scent itself is perfectly unisex. It is not a crowd-pleaser, but I find it refreshing and beautiful.

Django7

Id been after this for a while. Ehhh, no. No beaches, no mermaids, no sunny days. I'm 36 and this smells exactly like what my dad used to wear in the 80s when getting dressed up.Stetson? Very masculine. Not an attractive scent for a woman.

ibibonica

It IS unisex to my nose, hanging just a little bit more towards feminine side which makes it perfect for me, It's loud and a bit heavy and extremely long lasting on me, I love their pour femme for cold weather but it is a bit too much for higher temperatures so this one will be worn by me a lot this spring and summer! Seriously the best unisex I've encountered so far, excellent quality for an affordable price.

kathnee

Wow!! This is incredibly long-lasting! I sprayed it on at 4:00 PM last night, and this morning at 9:00 AM I could still smell it on myself. Only one other perfume could do that for me--Nocturnes by Caron in it's 80's incarnation.

Very fresh and elegant--extremely "well made". I love to wear cheapies, too, but you can definitely tell this one is well very well composed.

Bee-young-ka

I am a huge unisex fan but there is nothing unisex about this, its too feminie.

its my holiday perfume always puts me in a easy day kinda mood.
goes perfect with days on the beach.

its very potent for an EDT and now the price has come down it is in the affordable range.

Salty and musk-lollie like it must be honey and bees wax im smelling.

I love salt notes and if you do too you cant possibly be disappointed with this little number.

Full marks all round.

Scent 10/10
bottle 10/10

epg

In the beginning, it's very woody and salty. A bit too masculine for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I like masculine fragrances, just not on me. And I was just about to cross it out when it started to change into something sweeter, not candy-sweet, sweet with a dash of sourness. It kept the salty-beachy aspect. Something in it reminded me of reveal (ck), but this is so much better made that it's just a faint reminder. This one has a mind of its own. I'm sold.

Toronto_pro

Spicy. But not warm-spicy. Pure ginger, not ginger bread. Fresh. NOT 1990-s kind of "ozone-aquatic fresh", but something more intriguing that I tried to figure out (quince?).

I will definitely save it for summer "fun in the sun". It's a weekend type of perfume.

Deketa

On me is very sweet, I usually don't like sweet fragances but I really like this, is more oriental that sweet and slighly aquatic, is sweet but spicy. I can detect quince, ginger ( a LOT of ginger), wood and amber and a little bit bergamot and salty notes, not magonlia or flowers at all.

dglightblue

The person below me describes this well
Summer test.

I get a dry fresh woody marine scent here.
Showery fresh, breezy, not masculine, close to the border though, ( for reference Davidoff cool water and tommy girl go sort of masculine in the background on me)
It doesn't have that lovely calm juicy floral thing that ck be gets on the dry down.
It maintains its dryness.
nice and light

Don't judge this by the first smell!

As a big fan of the male Aqva, I was waiting for this so much but when I tried it.. meeh.. It smelled like a 0.99$ candle, I wanted to forget this nightmare.

And I forgot. But after a year I received a bottle of AD as a gift just before my vacation to the seaside. Oh boy, this was a perfect complement to the hot days! Fresh but gentle, it does not have that sharp cologne vibe, it's like a pleasant see breeze. It definitely reminds of Aqva for men. If you are ф lady and find the male version too masculine to wear you should try this one, be sure to spray it on your skin, not paper.

loilovesperfume

I purchased this perfume since it was released by the bvlgari house in the department store. It was a blind buy for me.. I never sprayed the tester coz i already sprayed perfume in my body.and i wana surprised my self what its smells like?! I bought it also because this is the first fragrance of bvlgari aqua for woman! This perfume catch my attention because of the round flat bottle with a golden lid with a mark on it and a pearly color of the bottle. After purchasing it. I never sprayed it. Just unboxing it and take a picture. Still i dnt sprayed it bcoz of i feel like i wana use it in a very important occasion. And this perfume is kinda expensive in my country. $140 usd for 60ml. So single spray is important for me! Lol... So after a year of waiting! Now im using it!! Sprayed it on my neck, wrist and every pulse of my body! And its a wow!! It has a very strong scents with a enormous sillage and longevity! The first spray. It has a blast of aqua with a salty and citruscy scents! I also smells the beeswax' ginger and bergamot! And it reminds me of aqua amara in a feminine side! After 1 hour on my body. I still smells the notes tht i smells in the first spray but with a strong woodsy notes and salty scents. Im waiting for the drydown and how it smells like.. So over all its a 10 out of 10 for me. If the mermaid have a signature perfume. This is the right one.... Its stil under on my observation. I wish it will last long on my skin! Its worth to buy this perfume. And love love love love it! Btw its not for a teen ager. I think its for 25 and abouve woman.. And its for a very good occasion.. Its not for everyday use..

Update: this perfume last longer on my skin.. 12 hours wtf!!! One of the strongest perfume i ever had!!! Kuddoz to bvlgari

Coffee_Girl

If you’re looking for a wearable salty aquatic, Aqva Divina is not a bad place to start. This doesn’t smell anything like Womanity but they seem to be beating along the same vein– in my opinion, Aqva feels less complex and not as aromatic or briny. The latter smells strongly of a tropical lagoon surrounded by fruit trees and white flowers; there is definitely a salty ocean air quality that I enjoy, but if you’re searching for a literal beach scent this might come off as a disappointment.

Divina is a sweet floral first and a marine fragrance second. Initial impressions are a heavy cloud of quince and magnolia with a bit of a honey phase in between; there is definitely salt and it smells wonderfully balanced without being pungent or linear. I sense little to no woods but the bergamot and quince is what makes this scent feel extremely tropical, it’s like a day on the beaches of Antigua surrounded by sparkling sands and fruit blossoms. Just like a vacation in a bottle!

Like most salty fragrances, Aqva is a safe blind purchase if you are specifically looking to smell like a tropical island; otherwise you’ll just enjoy it but will find that the perfume has very limited versatility. I live on the beach and still could not justify wearing this when fragrances like Sun di Gioia exists, and is far superior in quality and endurance.

In short: non-offensive, safe, non-versatile, tropical, fruity, and low sillage/longevity; a decent fragrance but ultimately inferior to other perfumes in the same category.

Vienna.Pink

chimidoro

Alcohol & Vetiver leading forthright to a focus on a "fresh", effervescent and zingy mandarin orange.

Maybe here an orange by any other name is a "quince"?
Possibly with a slight sprinkling of this so-called "salt" in the opening.

No seaside. No cookie, but it does take the biscuit, and it's certainly not cricket.

Nice but boring. Fresh, fruity, woody. Not salty.

Edit on the seventh of August 2017:
I began to doubt my initial opinion of this scent. I retested it and got the same result. This is, from top to bottom, as before, mainly orange peel and vetiver. Nothing else worthy of mention.
I get no salt. No ginger. No floral. No beeswax.
I'm not about to say I smell something just because it's written in the notes.

Edit 10th of January 2017:
Got this at a bargain price and am testing on skin for the first time. Other notes are coming through - some fizzy sweetness - and this is slightly more enjoyable than my tests on card, but orange rind is still the prominent dominator here. Smells like it could possibly squeeze into the lighter side of the Hermes Eau de Merveilles family.
Overall I personally feel that this was already done far better by Montblanc with Presence d'une Femme.
Funnily enough, the bottles are conspicuously alike also.

at first the cinnamon stands out the most, another couple of minutes it become salty sweet, pleasant and relaxing ... suitable for use at night. Good sillage and longevity

This is likely my only summer fragrance love that I currently own. I have done a fair amount of time on beaches, and I have to say, they don't smell like this to me. I actually don't like the smell of a salt water beach. Much prefer the smell of the Great Lakes beaches, but this doesn't smell like them either! But is is light and fresh and clean. On my skin, I get a very light scent of ginger (and this is likely why I like it so much) and I get a light floral...nothing overpowering. Not much in the way of a salt note for me or really anything overtly fruity but definitely something bright and happy. This is likely the citrus for me. But I love that it doesn't smell like sunscreen/coconut and isn't cloying. I agree with the others that the bottle, while beautiful is not practical for display. Luckily, I keep all my fragrances in their boxes and in a drawer in my closet to protect them. I also agree that this is likely not a safe blind buy. It is one of the few that I actually sampled before I committed to a full bottle. A beautiful, unique fragrance. Since I haven't had much luck finding other summer scents for me, I may need a back up bottle! Also looking forward to trying it in the fall and spring just to see how it plays out.

milkyway

I don't get any salt OR ginger here, the two notes I was most curious of smelling. Instead I have a powdery floral aquatic combo with quite prominent gardenia and sweet fruity undertone.

The composition is not bad, but I don't particularly like it. I don't feel that seaside vibe that Alberto Morillas was trying to achieve.

SuzanneS

Growing up and spending a lot of time at the ocean during summers and winters you get a good handle of what the beach emanates as its fragrance.

This is a misty evening at sundown and the salty spray surrounds you. Its light, with distinctive presence like the sea air. I was delighted and transported back to the shores of my childhood, in a modern chic way with nostalgia. It works on me. Surprised. Its a sentimental charmer for me...and I agree..a Mermaid would smell like this...

Eicher

Aqva Divina is a mature scent to me. Pretty agree with the comment below mine (beautifulchaos): it's not a sweet or powdery scent. I don't feel any citrus and/or aquatic either. And it doesn't remind me the sea or the ocean.
On my skin salt, ginger and woody notes are dominant. Sillage is soft, longevity moderate. The bottle is nice but not practical (reminds me of a beautiful shell - which suits to the perfume). Not for a blind buy.

beautifulchaos

Really liking this Bvlgari perfume. All the notes made me want to try it. Didn't know what to make of it at first. It takes a few minutes for the initial opening to settle down. Once it does, it's a pleasant scent suitable for the office. Unique and fabulous.

After sniffing this for the first time (and then applying it), the scent smelled nothing like what was coming from the bottle. I kept catching a whiff of something light and sweet (floral sweet, not sugary sweet). Then I sprayed it on myself and took a big sniff. Surprising. The only thing I could make out was a strong aquatic smell. It took quite a few minutes for the scent to settle down enough that I could detect individual notes. The sweet notes finally emerged. Sweet, salty, and gingery. Beautifully blended. On my skin the major notes are salt, ginger, and magnolia. Who would have thought you could actually smell salt? Never smelled quince fruit but this might also contribute to the sweetness. Again, this is not a sugary or powdery sweetness at all. In the background there is a faint beeswax and woody smell, possibly even amber. I don't get any citrus whatsoever.

This is a unique fragrance. It's the total opposite of what I am normally attracted to. Alot of reviewers say it reminds them of the beach. However I don't think of the beach or ocean. There are just too many things going on with this scent. It reminds me of a breezy autumn day. Can't wait to see how well this works for fall! I really cannot stop sniffing my wrist.

Longevity is pretty good (about 5 hours, then close to skin). Sillage is appropriate, not heavy. AQVA Divina is a light fragrance. Someone could easily overdo it though. The bottle is cool looking, but I wish it would stand upright. Just looks kind of out of place next to all my other bottles. Because of the individuality of this fragrance I would highly recommend sampling it before purchase.

Edit, May 5, 2018:
Still in love with this fragrance. I now use the body lotion too to enhance the longevity of the scent, and purchased small 5 ml decants to keep in my purses.
Sometimes I also use it during fall and winter as a pick-me-up. It just instantly puts me in a good mood.
Someone above remarked on chemistry and having a skin chemistry that is suitable for Bvlgari. I have to agree. I have now used 4 different scents from this house and I also adore some of their masculine scents.
Additionally, I blind bought Aqva Amara, one of the "brother " scents of Aqva Divina, and my brother loves it. Must be genetic. :-)
In summary, I highly recommend trying this unusual summer scent. If it agrees with you it will be one of your favorites.

Edit, July 17, 2017:

Still in love with this perfume. So unusual and I get so many compliments on it. And funnily enough - see other comments about this being a unisex scent - men just love it and ask to try it.
If it is very hot outside I stick with Cristalle but otherwise and especially on summer evening Aqua Divina is my summer scent.

Original post from August 2016:
This was an unexpected love although aren't they all? You look at a person day after day and then it hits you, I am crazy about him... Finding a totally unexpected fragrance love is perhaps not at the same level of thrill but not to be underestimated either.
I like aquatic scents but they are just not my favorite group, I am more like an oriental/floral woody musk/fruity chypre kind of person.
I think what hooked me on this scent is the saltiness, and that reminder of sun-warmed skin. My other favorite casual summer scent is EL Sensuous Nude. That one also reminds me of sun-warmed skin, but it is cleaner.
The way I could describe these two scents is that EL Sensuous Nude is before, while Aqva Divina is after making love and then having a swim in the ocean. The skin is salty, sun-kissed and a bit dirty. :-)
And I love, love, love the quince note. That has been my favorite since childhood. I grew up quite poor and did not encounter really good perfumes until my 20s, but nothing else is as beautiful as my grandmother putting quinces on top of the wardrobe to scent the room during the winter. Quince makes me happy the same way Crabtree & Evelyn's Noel scent does. Although these are "winter" scents, I think I know what is the common thread: love, safety, anticipation of something good, so the quince note can stand for some or all of these even in an aquatic scent.

AngelEuphoria

I love Bvlgari's Omnia for cold winter days/evenings and enjoy Bvlgari's Omnia Crystalline for summer. I highly recommend this one because it works in humid summer weather. I just received a compliment after taking a walk in the summer heat. Aqva Divina stays fresh and clean on your skin. It's bright and feminine but safe enough for all occasions. I'll also wear this on balmy summer evenings out. It's positively a head turner. I see how this could be a signature summer scent.

There are two major categories for summer fragrances: 1.) Cool Summer Weather and 2.) Hot/Humid Summer Weather. Aquatic or citrus/cucumber based fragrances (minus musky, spicy, sugary sweet or creamy notes) work best in humid weather. I'm not a big fan of cucumber/green fragrances like Calyx, Kenneth Cole's Black or synthetic powdery scents like Infusion d'Iris (Prada). Acqva Divina is aquatic and masterfully blended to perfection. Enjoy!

EVAN SWIFT

Could be my new signature!

lizzie12

Blind bought a 10ml edt spray after reading the reviews here. I don't usually go for aquatic fragrances but I really like this, maybe because I like ginger and magnolia which are prominent to me for first half hour. The drydown on my skin is waxy amber, nice. Glad I bought it.

Mdox407

Well well well. What have we here. Indeed the first female fragrance from the Bvlgari Aqva line.
And it's a delicious one at that!

This year really has been my breakthrough year into the aquatic, beachy, coconutty, and overall summer scents. And I am LOVING this one!

This fragrance is a perfect combo of all components! It's mostly the smell of a sea breeze/salt water with a touch of woody notes and the magnolia. I do also get the lime in there quite a bit also. I may get the smallest touch of Amber in this and I do not smell the beeswax at all.

So salty...but deliciously salty! The salty/lime/aquatic notes really steal the show in this one! This is one of those extremely rare fragrances...that is so reminiscent of something (like a beach you've been to most likely) that you can literally close your eyes when you smell it and see the beach, waves, seagulls, and the sand. It will take you there. It's amazing.

I got the biggest 2.2 ounce bottle on Ebay for $26.
I cannot stress enough how much you need to try this guys! Especially if you enjoy beachy summer fragrances. I also agree with the reviewer below me...the bottle really is beautiful and unique. Just as the scent is as well.

Longevity - IMPRESSIVE!! 7-8 hours easily.

Sillage - Stronger side of average. Maybe 4 feet away. 5 feet if sprayed a couple extra times. ;)

Scent Itself - 9/10

Overall Rating - 9/10

You've REALLY outdone yourselves Bvlgari folks!!! Muchas gracias por este perfume! Me encanta muchooo!!

Edemay

This is amazing, and i love the bottle too, looks like a treasure from the ocean.
Its sharp and familiar. Smelling this straight away reminded me of summer in Queensland.
It smells of clean clothes, sea spray and drift wood.

edit: would also like to say that i think one sprits of this is enough. Any more than that and it could probably make people around you dizzy or develop a headache. I also think this is great layered with anything super sweet or gourmand.

star127

..on the shore?...It's smells like a sea amazon...a siren..just mix up a few elemental ingredients... love how these scents circulate around my neck...
I love love it! ❤ this is my summer signature fragrance!

Eden within

Effortless divinity! The smell of sun shine, warm skin and the cool sea breeze... I can almost sea a boy or girl falling asleep on a hammock on a white sandy beach having just been for a swim... the waves appear to have calmed down since the afternoon and the sun starts to turn gold as it begins to set. The hammock was under the shade of palm trees when she fell asleep but it has been a while since then and the early evening sun has caught up with her. The salt dries on her skin as the sun kisses her gently and the ocean breeze cools her. She wakes up feeling like Venus herself... reborn.

I LOVE this fragrance, this is the sort of fragrance you smell on some one and you think... is that her perfume? Or is it just her?

Dadadida

As said in a lot of the previous reviews, this is indeed a weird one. I wouldn't buy it, nor would I wear it anywhere, but I do find it interesting.

It starts with a spicy ginger, that is quite sweet, almost like a candied ginger. There's a bitterness as well perhaps a lime peel note. The weird bit is the salt note - the most realistic, unforgetable salt note I've yet to smell. It's not aquatic though, just plain salty!
then it mixes with juicy quince, which is almost like a very ripe apple - what gives it a slight boozy quality. You can also smell magnolia with a woody backround.

I do like the notes I listed so far, the problem, though, begins with the appearence of the honey and amber, in conjunction with the lack of overall freshness. The honey and amber combined makes it sickeningly sweet and cloying. To my nose, amber and resins in gerneral, can have a metallic smell on me, that is unpleasent - and that was the case here. I also think the dry down share the syrupy amber vibe as YSL Cinema, which I don't like as well.
It's a shame, because I enjoyed the salt note combined with the quince.

If I would need to sum the expereince in 3 words it would be: Syrupy; Salty; Dirty

auroramaria

Perfect for hot spring and summmer, slightly bitter and salty performs very well in the heat as it is very refreshing.During a typical Italian spring and summer this s the kind of scent that is needed to keep you smelling great, Aqua Divina is not grounbreaking but it works

Selena

Picked this beauty up a few days ago, it's absolutely gorgeous! Definitely a day time scent.
Why do I get whiffs of musk? ;) I like it.
Longevity: 5-6 hours.

Sammi_co

Subtle, salty and something a little bit different. On paper I liked it but on me all I could smell was salt at first. The salt died down & I found it nearly non existent. I was a bit depressed as I've been wanting to try this for ages. But as the day went on any time I lifted my hand up I kept getting this beautiful softly spicy, slightly floral and now subtly salty aroma. Now I need this in my collection immediately!
I can see how this could be considered unisex I think it's the aquatic vibe.

Madrona

This is The Birth of Venus bottled. Spot on. Salty, bright, warm, breezy, soft, feminine. Alberto Morillas, I salute you.

EDIT: Applying it again two days after, it seems to make me nauseous. Too bad.

ChubbyPillow93

Aqva Divina is the light version of
Laboratorio Olfattivo's Salina

They both have the seasalt note...the citrus note...while Aqva Divina falls on a more creamy side, and Salina uses the Myrtle to lead the way.The seasalt note in these two fragrances are surprisingly similar, however when the salty aroma combines with myrtle, it becomes awfully salty(which made my throat very uncomfortable), and I believe that's why Salina has got many negative votes on fragrantica.

So all in all, Aqva Divina has done a good job.Though I'm not sure if it's trying to copy Salina, at least the fragrance has been improved, and becomes much more wearable.A nice one in designer perfumes.

genny17

I kind of liked it, although the spiciness wasn't my favorite part, it is still a nice bright scent, and feminine, with a woodsy undertone,NOT for guys, can't imagine a guy would want to smell so feminine!!
In the end I gave it to my mother in law, the watery spiciness didn't sit well with me..

mapache

In one word...."DIVINE". I am a guy, and I DO find this can be unisex for sure. I loved it at first sniff. I won't go too in depth with the notes...but like others stated...I don't "get" the salt/salty thing...???...No matter, I love it. Very calming/soothing...balmy. Like a breeze on the beach/ocean...or fresh spring day....
Divina/Divine !!!

MissButterfly

Beautiful scent. Feminine, yet not overwhelming with flowers. Expressive, but mysterious at the same time.
Sensual and sophisticated. I can imagine an empress wearing this, Venus (mentioned previously) or any kind of classy woman.

It will not suit everyone; this perfume is not 'loud' and not for anyone seeking for attention. I think it's a wild, natural scent and that's why some people call it masculine. But in fact this 'wilderness' is absolutely sensual in a feminine way.

rosemacaron

Bvlgari did so well in evoking "The Birth of Venus" with this perfume! I find it to be wholly feminine and natural... it smells like sexy, warm, dewy naked skin. The salt and honeycomb offer the natural, primal elements which make this perfume so sexy and "real" while the magnolia, quince, and ginger heighten its femininity and power. The result is that this fragrance is both of the Earth and ethereal, just like Venus. Goddess nectar.

Arlene-Beatrix

Very salty. I like it, because it's fresh, summery, pleasant, but it is only a like. I don't want to smell like salt.

Annnelii

I first spotted this perfume at "shoppers" for 19.99 about a week ago. I sprayed it on to test it out and just walked around the store to let the scent do its thing. The main notes were so strong, in-your-face offensive that I felt appalled, hoping that no one will come close to me to smell it. It reminded me of a rich, stuck-up woman, who walk all over people to get her way. Don't get me wrong - I love powerful and unique perfumes (like Gucci "Rush") but this was just... loud. The middle notes came very synthetic on my skin. At that point I was thinking "no way!"

3 days later and the base notes are still on me! And I ADORE the base notes. There's something to be said about a perfume that is so long lasting, so I went back to get one. And it was gone. This perfumes has haunted me ever since...

So

There ! SoulScent quite said it all, for me :-)
I should add that I really feel the Mediterranean concept within it and, even if not my style, I would wear it with much pleasure if necessary ;-)

Update, after a while: I bought it after all because I fell in love with it. It is a little masculine and a lot feminine... at the same time. I love the dry-down alot (it reminds me a bit of the style of Aquawoman by Rochas) and it stays put for days on textiles.

PS- Someone said here that it smells like a rich woman, or something like that. Well, I don't know how a rich woman smells like, but I surprised myself walking on a street in a way... with my chin up, smiling to everybody... feeling as if I were the richest woman on that street... and I instantly remembered that comment here, on Fragrantica, and I started to laugh to myself...

Lizka7

Very disappointing perfume, the cause of huge headache. Tried again, and it is the same result. I tolerate Womanity, and I am quite intrigued by it. Aqva Divina I would expect something more interesting. I did not notice much difference, just it affects all my senses at once. There is nothing sweet to me in this perfume, I don't smell any magnolia, just heavy salty muskl. I am disappointed at Divina. I blindly bought it after reading an editor review about the best perfumes of 2015.

lulu169

nothing sweet about this, but nothing aquatic either, just perfect...yeah, it could be Unisex, but ist not typical masculine either, nothing masculine about this

SoulScent

Opening: Delectable salty goodness. Fresh spicy, woody. I can see why some say unisex or masculine but I love it.

Drydown: The saltyness fades. More sweetness comes through followed by the magnolia, wood and Amber. The drydown is definitely not masculine. It becomes softer and quite feminine but with only a hint of sweetness.

Longevity: After 3hrs it's quite soft, faint and you need to reapply.

annabolina

This is my second review of A.D.
Below there are my thoughts sniffing A.D. during the summer, here is what I think on a cold winter day.
I love it.
Woody, wet, calm, full of silence, comfortable, without gender.
I can see why most of the people find it strange in the wrong way, but as I see, it is something new, and deserves attention.
Womanity and Angel were also odd for the first time.

kbot

Gorgeous! I will wear this year round. The amber and magnolia are in beautiful balance. This is elegant, bright, aquatic and floral. I would rename this "Sexy Rich Ladies: Beach House Edition"

Betsywoolbright

I love salty notes. This is just beautiful. Bergamot comes across as salty and happens to be present in almost all of my favorite perfumes.
To all the negative reviewers, I'm not sure how a person couldn't love this.
I know chemistry makes some scents completely incompatible with some people, but I needed to give a great review for this scent to counteract the detractors.

Mojan

I would say this is a very elegant and sophisticated looking lady that the very moment she opens her mouth and starts to speak you are shocked by the contradiction between her appearance and her manly spirit.
The bottle and the name say something and the scent says something totally different. She is not feminine. She sounds exactly like her borther Amara: bold, adventurous, without any womanly delicacy. She seems a bit lost to me, incongruent with what she is expected to be. She is lovely in her own way, but when you dress like a lady and promise to be divine you'd better keep that.
So I think the spirit of this scent is not in harmony with neither her appearance nor her name, and that's what makes some people lose their interest.

lulu169

I cant stop smelling this! this is so ME. my current signature beside Decadence, well done Bvlgari!

naipe

I find the most of Bvlgari perfumes daring and attractive, and so most of the people, regarding the popularity of this brand. Aqva Divina seems not to be an exception this year if you have a glimpse to hall of fames everywhere. In spite of this I have to say that the similarity with Amara has disappointed me a bit. Actually, this is the feminine couple of Amara undoubtedly, although with very few novelties... the opposite to what might seem initially. In fact Divina is a transvestite Amara lol. Seriously, I think bitterness theme works much better in a masculine fragrance and in addition, this counterpoint is not sufficiently crafted. Please try both and judge by yourself. Overrated

Bee-young-ka

Saw the salt note and was intrigued.

This is a fantastic Salty scent, love at first smell. I love salty fragrance and this is salt mastered!

Salty Musky Honeycomb with Magnolia and projects very well indeed!
I am woman smell me roar!

This is a powerhouse on me and a perfume I can smell on myself, which chuffs me.

Love Love Love!

scent 10/10

adamanda

I want it and that´s all :) thanks a lot :)

craitza

I want it...

asieczka83

Magic bottle in the form of shells.

Mariantu

I'd love to get this one!! I've never had a Bvlgary, and according to the "people who like this would also like" section, it looks pretty much my kind of fragrance. I hope it flies to Argentina!!!

Hellokt

Wow, this would be perfect for,e. I live in So. Cal. where I love the smell of the magnolia trees when I am out on an evening walk, and with the salty sea air. Beautiful.

Mayaroo

I would love to receive this! Anytime!

SheTurtle

Not for me.

I can see why people will buy fragrances that smell great on the test strip, but will sit on their shelves forever. This is one of those. Fortunately, I tried this in the store first and did not buy it based on the dry down. I don't have the chemistry for it.

It was a gorgeous opening, and I got the bergamot and some spiciness. Then things got ugly fast. Thank goodness the silage is weak.

ellina1984

I am stunned! Aqva Divina strikes me as unisex. In fact, the drydown reminds me of a faded citrusy, gingery, very musky men's perfume.

Salty air is the star in this. I get ginger, done in the same way as in the original Omnia. Slight spice is what I can discern. The bergamot is prominent at the top, then fades into vague citrusiness (no such word, I know). A vague florality is there, too. And musk. Glorious musk, smelling like you have taken a dip in the sea, then sat down to dry naturally at the beach.

I would love this for summer nights, it feels sexy but also laid-back and carefree.

funny creature

Everybody or almost everybody mentions the salty note in this perfume. Funnily enough, I don't get any salt here. It's woodsy and spicy on me, and it's really divine! Another feature that makes me like this perfume as a unique one on my shelf is the complete absence of any sweetness! At least on my skin...
I liked it from the first spritz and though it's not my greatest love of all times, there are days when I just feel like wearing it. I wish the longevity was a bit better.

lulu169

such a Beauty! modern, not sweet, refreshing but not typical citrus/aquatic you just throw in your gym bag, rather very expensive smelling & sophisticated. LOVE IT!!! love the scent, the name and the bottle too. resembles Womanity, especially the Aqua Chic version a lot, also very similar to Shine Blue by Heidi Klum. I love all of them, but this is my favorite

Taxidermy

I'm shocked! Aqva Divina literally smells like SweeTarts. Seriously, Bvlgari?

amirali0072000

This fragrance is great./.the best..the rich..the elegant.Very expensive looking bootle and fantastic smell! :)

lemonchiffon

If you are a person who generally can't wear florals because they give you a headache, this might be a really nice one for you. The sea salt, wood, ginger and beeswax notes help to balance out the magnolia flower at the heart of the perfume, and the woody--incensey dry down is lovely. I feel that this perfume is a nice balance of earthy, musky, floral, woody, aqua, and green.

LeggysMum

At first, on my skin, there was a strange, unidentifiable smell.... incense, perhaps as my skin renders it,.......then after that, interesting,( not quite lovely) notes, which dried down to cloying powder. Obviously this is not a Bvlgari for me, but may work well on the correct skin chemistry.
It happens to drydown on me, (exactly as Dali Purplelips Sensual dries down on my skin).... POWDER, sinus attacking synthetic, and long lasting. Whatever note causes this sure does last... Read, will NOT scrub off !!
There are no similarity in notes in these two fumes, except for Amber, but boy these come off similar on me. IF you like one, you may like the other.
Not for me , but interesting enough to be worth investigating...

3fifty7

On first spray all of the beautiful notes of bergamot, magnolia, salt and amber come out to play in a gracefully orchestrated dance. Within minutes though, this lovely ensemble quickly turned into something dreadful. I'm talking underarm or cat piss dreadful, punctuated with salt, salt and more salt. Nausea soon set in. An hour later that dreadfulness morphed into a masculine assault of woody, benzoin laden weirdness. Hours later and I'm left with a very powdery, amber-like (but still salty!) mess.

Interestingly enough, it works very well with my husband. He loves it. I wish I had the chemistry to make this work on me, and I envy those who do. Oh well.

LisaLovesPerfume

Being that I love Aqua Moto and Reveal, I was sure that I would love Aqva Divina...and luckily I was right! This is a fragrance for people that love a salt note. It reminds of the Atlantic ocean breezes off the coast of North Carolina and South Carolina. AD takes me back to childhood vacations all along the coast of the Carolinas. This will be a staple in my collection.

Percoon

Apologies for those who like it, but for me it is way too salty and masculine, not watery on me at all, gives me headache and impossible to wash it away!

Ressan

Honestly speaking I didn't like it

SoheePark

I like long sunset swimming and what else the reviewer under me said. I love acquatic, marine, fresh perfumes too. Ones that remind me of the sea.
however, this smelled really bad. Nothing aquatic.
