Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette by Chanel is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette was launched in 2002. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Polge. Top notes are Orange, Bergamot and Grapefruit; middle notes are Litchi, Rose and Italian Jasmine; base notes are Patchouli, Tahitian Vetiver, Bourbon Vanilla and White Musk.

Eau de Toilette Coco Mademoiselle was launched one year after the perfume and Eau de Parfum concentrations. Lighter and sweeter, it starts with a cooling citrus freshness, including notes of orange of Sicily and Calabrian bergamot united with an aromatic note of Sicilian grapefruit. Sparkling litchi gives a beautiful, fruity nuance and brightens the classical floral duo of rose and jasmine. The gentler notes of patchouli, vetiver, Bourbon vanilla, and white musk are balanced in a new way to create a sweet and soft base. The fragrance was created by Jacques Polge in 2002.

This is really great, this will be my Spring and Summer go-to this year. It's a beautiful light fresh modern chypre. You can pick up a little of that powdery Chanel DNA that runs through all their fragrances and adds that air of sophistication they all exude. I've struggled with Chanel perfumes, trying a lot but never really loving any of them as they can be a bit "much" for me in some way I can't put my finger on, but this one is perfect! Everything is very well blended and I can't really pick out any specific notes other than citrus and patchouli, which is bright and adds a little bit of lightweight spiciness. The vanilla is not overpowering, it doesn't make this a sweet scent thankfully, it just adds more softness and complexity. Like a lot of Chanel perfumes, this one is versatile enough for pretty much all occasions, times of day, and seasons.
It's not very potent, it's an EDT after all, but I like subtle perfumes too.

Mademoiselle has been my go-to basically since it came out. I have purchased the EDT over and over so when I had some extra coin I bought the EDP- They are NOT the same. Something about the EDP just doesn't have the warm spiciness the EDT has, in my opinion. I've always been under the impression that the Parfume is better quality than the Toilette for any fragrance, and that may be, but I'm about to put my bottle of edp on Mercari. I don't know why I LOVE one (I could bathe in it) and the "higher quality" one is just forgettable.

My goodness. My goodness. I enjoy this.

It's a little lighter than the original, but with the lychee and heavy-handed citrusy tone, I think it's so much more fun and less *stiff* than CM.

It bears the same sisterhood to CM, and CM L'Eau Privee, but it's less serious. Yet, this has a bitter tone owing to the grapefuit (I smell more grapefuit than the other citruses). It smells incredibly pretty, composed and quite *Chanel* (IYKYK), but it's also fresh. It smells like a sophisticated woman who tries hard, yet doesn't necessarily fall apart when things don't go to plan. She's a hard worker, yet flexible. And as with the original CM, I think this is somewhat unisex (who cares, wear what you want anyway).

There is a bite of patchouli in the drydown, but as with the original, it's still a very clean, upscale patchouli.

I wish it lasted a bit longer, but I really believe it's artfully crafted. I'm truly torn about whether I prefer this or CM, but maybe that isn't the point at all, there's room for both and I actually do not believe they're redundant at all.

Go for edp or the intense one

Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette Chanel
(Usd 65 / 50 ml.)

It’s time of the year, my Summer.
When you live in South East Asia.
You know when it’s hot, it’s real business.

I was refreshing my Summer fragrance wardrobe.
And it seems missing something.
Most of my Summer fragrance frag are solifores.

I am looking for something a bit more complicate.
Floral / patchouli maybe. When I was browsing I land to this not so complicated but has current depth gem.

CoCo Mademoiselle, to be easily describe is
Soft floral bouquet on Mild Patchouli and Soft Vanila. That’s really last long on skin. It’s soft & linger in the way I can appreciates in hot summer.
It is not overly ambery. Just right amount to be appreciate and make a scent linger.

Mild aldehydic is really property of Channel as it can elevate scent to summer usable, even it is vanilla based fragrance.

At the end of the day, you may feel like. Yeah, it is just ordinary Vanilla-Patchouli with floral support.
But to make this be able to use in Summer, not many house are offering that, often Summer scent offers in L’eau style floral-tea citrus base that gone really fast on your skin. Leave only a trace of clean-skin, soft abstract scent only. This also true to Chanel Les Eaxu line.

This is not one of them. 🙂
I really happy that they still offering this is EDT format. Now along with Eau Fraiche from Dior.
I am quite sure I am equipped for hot summer.

Antares811

I recommend the Body Oil too, very similar to this delicious EDT.
Two gems!

ballerinanoir

Citrus, elegant patchouly, a hint of vanilla. I also noted some strawberry note , maybe?

It performs MUCH better than the edp on my skin.

It is an amazing fragrance, close to skin, cozy and simple.
This really reminds me of Carolina Herrera Carolina, which was discontinued. Just more delicate.

Lasting power : 8 h
Sillage: low.
Safe for work. Love it.

stella.cherie

I'm getting this synthetic, citrus-y smell with the top notes. It’s kind of nauseating. However, it takes a turn with time. The dry down is very pleasant—this warm, powdery citrus scent. It’s nice but I can’t get over the initial scent. Albeit pleasant, there is still something about the citrus note in the dry down that is just a bit off. Pass.

temo

What’s not to love with CM ! Loved the Parfum for many years but strangely only recently gave the EDT a good try. Love it so much more ! The freshness and the sparkling character is surprising for a patchouli based fragrance. Extremely well blended masterpiece!

MonicaLV

I love the EDT. It reminds me a lot of the 2017 version of Dior Miss Cherie. Not exact of course but it has that feel which I love. Make sure you try it on your skin before purchasing as it smells different on people. The sillage and longevity are about 4-6 hrs on my skin.

AquaRegia

Coco Mademoiselle EDT by Chanel is the lighter, sweeter version of its concentrated counterpart. It kicks off with a fresh burst of citrus, combining Sicilian orange, Calabrian bergamot, and Sicilian grapefruit for a year-round, fresh, and pleasant fragrance for women.

What adds a touch of luxury and allure is the sparkling litchi note, which adds fruity brightness to the classic rose and jasmine florals. These sweet flowers are perfect for any time of day. The scent has moderate sillage but good longevity.

It's versatile for all occasions – office, romance, formal events, picnics, day outings, date nights, or beach mornings. This is thanks to the gentle blend of patchouli, Tahitian vetiver, Bourbon vanilla, and white musk, creating a sweet and soft base. It exudes elegance and youthfulness, making it ideal for sophisticated ladies looking for that Chanel prestige.

IsSheNotFragrant

The EDT was always my favorite of the Coco M'selles and I've owned all of them including the pure perfume. Chanel EDTs were always fresher and more sparkling but still maintained great depth and projection. However, I recently re-purchased it and what an insult! It is so diluted its no more then a body mist. Lasts about an hour. Its the end of my love affair with Coco Mselle and Chanel. I will never purchase it again.

jesz

Absolutely in love with this fragrance.

The refreshing grapefruit here is such a win.
It's both refined and lighthearted.

The patchouli takes over in heat, and the citruses sparkle in mild temperatures, but become extremely sharp and spicy in the cold.

Best in mild temperatures.

Anyone here with musk on their skin making everything so sensual and magical?

I don't know what is it with me- but after powdery ethereal ''cant point finger what is it'' fragrances I have been using in the last few years- such as This is Her and Just Rock-Zadig, and white cube Narciso- these past few months I have found myself going in trans back to some high school loves, or shall I say BIG ones from the early 2000s.

My aunt gifted me this one, when I was just 16 ( the same year she gifted me the OG red cap Dolce) and I tested it today- it reminds me of Narciso Poudre so much, because of the rose, powder but mostly the musk in the dry down-so close to Poudre it is scary. Tho they are not at all similar.
This one right here has something maature and dreamy and light at the same time- and comforting, reminding me of my summer rain date, when my high school sweet heart gave me his hoodie and I was wearing this. Ah perfumes and their power to literally instantly drag you down to the past moments.

I also finally accepted that I will always ADORE perfumes and that is perfectly fine to have more than one or two, so this one will probably, sooner or later find its home in mine.

P.S. any fragrance is a night out fragrance - it is about YOU. This one is perfectly work accepted but can also do magic in nights out. ;)

dalkiuyu

This is inextricably linked to a memory of me, as a 22 year old, buying this "big girl" perfume for myself with my first salaried job. That is what CM EDT is to me: ladylike, aspirational, young (but not juvenile - would wear beautifully on an adult woman of any age). A cloud of this perfume felt like a protective bubble of cleanliness and luxury from my sweaty, stinky NYC subway commute every morning. Today, nearly 10 years later, I wear CM EDT for occasions when I want to appear polished and feminine: think job interview, wedding guest, meeting your boyfriend's parents. This is a lovely, timeless scent.

Scissorslizardspock

My mind is always changing as to which formula of Coco Mademoiselle I like best, but this EDT version is really giving me all I could ask of a perfume in the summer. CM EDT is citrusy clean, bright, elegant, easy-to-wear, a pinch sexy (just a tiny bit), and has longevity without being bothersome. It’s the easy to love variation, and I do love it.

Samanthaheer

I smelled what I’m assuming was the EDP on my MIL and it was spicy and woody which I adore, especially with fall coming. I mistakenly thought the EDT would smell similar but it does not. This is a little too sweet and flowery for me. I couldn’t detect any patchouli or vetiver. Just flowers, vanilla and musk. I’ll still try the EDP but this is a no for me.

jeissi

Very citrusy, nauseating just like the edp.

futuredee

This one's too citric on my skin. It smells like mosquito repellent right after spraying. The dry down is a lot better and I actually smell the orange note. Next time I'll test the edp maybe it will be better for me.

vibrant.girl

This was my first 'big girl' perfume, and I can't remember who bought it for me for a birthday or maybe a Christmas gift, but I was OBSESSED. That said, it was too mature for me (as a teen) and I don't know what happened to my bottle. But, I tried it again at Nordstrom's this week and the scent memories came flooding back! It's lighter, brighter, and less musty than the OG CM (which I don't care for) and like other reviewers said: this is an inoffensive, anyone-can-wear-it frag. Not blind buy safe, because CM is polarizing, but lovely if you know you like this style of scent :)

LeahBear

Pleasant, inoffensive office everyday scent. Like a white shirt, suits everyone, unremarkable, easy. It lasts for me about 4h on skin, 6h on clothes. Sweet but fresh. Girly but put together. I’ve been wearing it for almost 20 years now and the formulation has changed but it’s still a staple in my collection. Workhorse fragrance. Prefer it over the edp (a theme for me and Chanel) as it performs better in humid conditions.

Lotte_Liese

There’s something effortlessly classy and put together about Coco Mademoiselle that makes it too grown up for teenagers but not too stuffy to transition from workplace to personal life.
This is the ideal workplace scent for me, but I could also find myself reaching for this when I’m at home and have taken a 2nd shower after a particularly sweltering afternoon.
The initial opening is citrus based with floral accords, however woody notes and vetiver set in quite quickly to transform this fragrance from being more than a fresh, spring scent, without stealing any of its feminine goodness.
I don’t feel this is a fragrance to be oversprayed. The scent needs to waft around you lentement, it should be light, not overpowering.
I would wear this in the season of falling leaves, but not falling icicles.
I have Ajmal’s Raindrops which is a frighteningly close sister to this fragrance at a more affordable price.

Nat9

This is one of my favourite perfumes ever.
And I don’t like the edp.
This edt is fresh, and makes you feel incredibly FREE from all your troubles.
It’s therapeutic!
I’m definitely getting the biggest bottle there is.
10/10

Antares811

I adore this scent.
Pure class, charming and elegant.
Compliment getter.

canabena

I really enjoy this fragrance. Its basically the same scent as the eau de parfum. Its sweet in a grown up way thats the only way I can think to define it. It isnt a teenage candy sweetness but more so a citrusy floral sweetness I think its also similar in a way to chanel chance eau vive both have very forward citrusy notes. I like to wear this one to day events it makes me feel like a nepo baby lol.I would recommend as its inoffensive, sweet and charming.

Edit: I still really love this perfume I love the smell of the projection its amazingly sweet however the dry down is really bad, the good thing is I can only smell the dry down if I put my wrist close up to my nose. It smells funky like an armpit with no deodorant. I think its the patchouli. Regardless I will still wear this but only spray it on my clothes because it could just be my skin chemistry not meshing well with it. It also really doesn't last very long at all 2 hours max on skin, on clothes I can get 4 hours but for the hefty price that's not the best. I have cheaper EDTs that last longer. Im still a sucker for this perfume so I will repurchase. I say this all to be 100% honest but don't let this deter you from trying it out because it is a really gorgeous scent.

violeteme

Not much different than the original, just slightly easier, brighter, but at the same time it lasts for a shorter time. Coco Mademoiselle overall seems to be more orange-pathcouli (sweet, fruity, zesty patchouli) than floral-patchouli forward. For a fruitchouli perfume this smells quite light. Already a classic, this scent is so very well recognizable and inspires some nostalgic feelings. Seems to be a good perfume all year round, all occasions.

Zombie Apocalypse

Alot more wearable than the original. Much brighter yet maintains that timelessness with similar DNA. IMO yes the orginal is a classic, but also just too played for my liking. Thankfully Chanel has come out with some lighter variations and all thankfully have less patchouli.

Zentocs

A little more fresh and clearer than the original Coco Mademoiselle. I can sniff the grapefruit well, and the whole composition is lighter and not so dusty/heavy, contains less patch or just a brighter version of it.
I choose it insted of the OG and waiting for the spring to use it. As the top notes faded, comes the juicy flowers so beautifully!

jesz

Comparing the 2001 Coco Mademoiselle Parfum, and 2002 formulation of the Eau De Toilette is a large contrast. The Parfum is woodsy, spicy and heavy, and the EDT is light, citrusy gentle and fresh.

LachicaGianna

Honestly, love at first smell. This is my all time favorite scent, and the only reason I don't wear it every day is because I want to ration what I have left. I love the mix of citrus and floral because it gives me a fun, spring-like vibe, not to mention the perfect way the vanilla balances out the top notes. To try and give you an idea if you've never smelled this before, think if spring and summer combined to make a scent that's fresh and cute yet stunning and delicate. 30/10.

ntabassum92

I like this version for that zingy citrus and lychee top. It's recognizable as Coco Mademoiselle but still slightly different - this is the sportiest version of the already sportier version (EDP) than the EDP Intense. The light patchouli fruitiness is reminding me of Chloe Nomade as well. It's interesting that 20 years later, this type of scent is still very much in style. I think most people wear the EDP, so if you want something just a hair different from what everyone else smells like, try this one.

Rosemaryeliana

I wore this perfume on my wedding day. My mom got this perfume for me as a gift. Family and friends who hugged me after the ceremony all made some kind of nice comments about this perfume.

This perfume is a very likeable, safe and classic choice. It's long lasting. It's never offensive. It's draws compliments. It's a perfume I would purchase for my daughters if they ask for one.

marinejuana

so so so beautiful! nothing compares to Coco M.

Gi5elle.C

I am.a.big fan of Coco EDP, but wear this one to work/everyday. To me, it's the daytime,.more casual version of Coco.

ballerina77

I love this perfume. there is something so nostalgic about this, because it was my last year of school and they had launched Carolina Herrera Carolina. I never got to buy that version, and years later I found Chanel Mademoiselle EDT.
It was a great surprise, because it reminded me so much of that Carolina. And my teen years, of course.

It is a fresher version of the EDP, I like it better, because the citrusy mixes well with the patchouli.
And I get the scent all through the day. I smell strawberries, somehow, and citrusy like grapefruit and oranges.
then the patchouli and vanilla. But it is not that type of scent that offends with the patchouli, I think it is safe for work and it lifts me up every time I smell it.
It tones down the "mature"air that comes in the EDP version.

longevity 7-10hs, sillage is moderate.
I really like this one., I wear it to shake things up when I don't feel like it's my day.
Well done!

Luisa25

Beautiful fragrance, can be worn year round and even in warm weather. Fresher, lighter and more wearable than the edp formulation which I also own, but which can be somewhat cloying.
Longevity on my skin is great, it can get me through the day although after an hour of 5 it becomes more of a skin scent.
Hadn't wore it for a while and really craved it, so just applied it after my shower. Love it!

ErinKenney

The scent is beautiful. Unfortunately it disappears after 30 mins. Not worth the price. I will stick to the EDP..

dorynickel

Dries down sweeter than the top notes, but the citrus also shines more over time. Very very feminine but not screaming any one note. I like it but also feel it doesn't match my personality.

chelseet

There’s a reason why this is set as my signature scent! It’s truly the best. This was my first designer perfume. I was in 9th grade, my dad got it for me for my 15th birthday. Then he and his sister ended up purchasing it for my grandmother a few years later! So I don’t necessarily think this is only a “young” fragrance. even though Chanel made it to market to the younger crowd. I truly feel any age can wear it!

Grapefruit and rose are some of my absolute favorite scents and boy do they shine through. The performance is great and it lasts quite a long time on me. Just smells like absolute luxury. I don’t find this too sweet. I feel like it’s more soft with the rose, and bright and clean with the citrus. Then it dries down to a nice woody/patchouli vanilla but again it is not overly sweet and I don’t find the patchouli to be too offensive.

I’m not the kind of person who restricts fragrances for times of year. But I personally feel this scent is best in the cold winter months. Maybe I’m biased because I received it for my birthday which is in winter. and I wore it a lot until I ran out of it around march. 😆

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is my NUMBER ONE favorite perfume. This is the perfume that turned me into a perfume obsessed gal. This is what got me into fragrances! Before this, all I had was Britney Spears fantasy. and both Curve & Chill by liz claiborne. But this is the magic of Chanel that turned me into not only a “perfume-aholic”, but a Chanel lover at that.

Note: I much prefer the eau de toilette version. The eau de parfum is okay-ish but I don’t really love it like I do this version.

Shmooksey

A wonderful fragrance! It maintains the longevity of a parfum but with the lightness of an EDT- a real snatch for anyone who usually enjoys light fragrances but wants something a little more distinctive and less 'skin-scent' (that is my comfort zone). While it is beautiful, from beginning to end, it feels very put together and a very feminine 'ready to conquer' vibe- which, is not me on the daily. So I would love it, but it wouldn't be an everyday fragrance for me. Suitable year around then, due to its exclusivity.

lombredansleau

This perfume has really conquered me, I find it very special, radiant and alluring, it stands out from the usual fragrances all very similar, based on patchouli and citrus notes. The persistence is really high, just a few vaporizations are enough to be wrapped in this wonderful bouquet for the whole day , without being excessive or annoying. The bottle design is minimal but refined and elegant, A fresh and feminine, iconic and inimitable fragrance. Fresher and lighter than the EDP, I find Coco Mademoiselle EDT a delicious scent. A floral and citrusy, fresh and bubbly, on a warm, enveloping, spicy base. A multi-faceted perfume, where class and femininity prevail. On my skin the sweet notes never take over, so the fragrance never becomes cloying, even after few hours. A little spray is really enough to take it with you all day. I wear it mostly in Spring, while I prefer the EDP for the colder months. Always attracts compliments from ladies and gents.

d4hlia

I am normally not a fan of citrusy scents but i am in LOVE with the edt version. It smells amazing!!

juliecccc

I prefer the EDT version of Coco Mademoiselle over the EDP formulation, as I in general prefer brighter, softer and more subtle fragrances. Even though you've smelled it everywhere on pretty much everyone, it's still lovely and elevated beyond just a nice floral. I also enjoy how it's not as sweet as other extremely popular perfumes like La Vie Est Belle or a ton of other super sweet florals. I can wear this one pretty much anywhere and everywhere, and it makes me feel positive and confident.

menmen

I got this because I was too intimidated by the edp(and I got this in 100ml for a very good price). I have no other words to describe this other than just stellar. It's beautiful, I don't know what I'm smelling other than a vague citrus smell but I think it's gorgeous. I haven't had the chance to wear it out yet but I'll have to live in it for a while to figure out if it's for me specifically.

CurlGurl

I'm not a fan of this one. I LOVE the original and intense, but these barely has the same DNA. Very surprised. The dry down is heavy patchouli and lychee. It's sickly and boring.

M1tsouko

This is just a bottle of memories to me. My mom used to wear this as her signature scent in the early 2000s and she smoked a lot so i vividly remember smelling cigarette smoke and a huge whiff of her perfume whenever I smelled her. That's probably one of the best things i've smelled in my life. lol

fyetan

Bright, sparkly, fruity on a ton of patchouli.
Because most of my patchouli experience is with Angel, this kept reminding me of it.
I'm not sure I really smell litchi, more citrus.

Really nice, longevity is about 6 hours, outperforms most citrus EDTs that I can think of.

Comparison to EDP: this is much brighter and sparklier. Same vibe though, a nice and clean, put-together perfume.

nickinicole

I get a nose full of citrus, but, to me, it's missing a lot of the floral notes that made me fall in love with the EDP. Honestly, if I was interested in wearing a citrusy fragrance, I'd probably continue to reach for my Happy (Clinique) instead of this.

Coco888

Now this one is good for the summer , it’s just perfect my body oils love this one during the summer and so do I, again just magical this is definitely a summer fragrance❤️

AutumnJade

So pretty and classic! One of my fiance's favorites, too.

scnofthcrime

On me I get a lot of orange, grapefruit, litchi, and patchouli. Fresh and a little "dirty" at the same time due to the patchouli which gives it a masculine edge which to me is part of what makes this scent so memorable. It's always kind of funny to me that this has been so enduringly popular. It's not terribly sweet and it's"perfume-y", but I'm not mad about it. The EDP and the EDT do smell different to me and I personally find the the litchi and grapefruit more pronounced in the EDT which I prefer over the EDP.

The perfume-y air just sort of fits Chanel as a house. Some people have compared this to Angel and I don't see the comparison at all other than the fact that both have patchouli in them. This is not at all gourmand on me. I've owned this scent for over a decade and I still wear it from time to time. Despite it's popularity I'm not bored of it, I can't say that for every scent in my collection.

rosetinteddream

The EDP of this was my first perfume I bought for myself when I was able to overcome homelessness and got my first steady job. As I grew and became less femme leaning, I tired of the EDP (which is also incredibly powerful in sillage and projection) as I sometimes became sensitive to its strength and moved on.

For a couple years I just wore Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea and called it a day. Once bought a bottle of Bleu de Chanel EDT. Then a little over a year ago, I started becoming more interested in fragrances. Fast forward to now, I have a collection that amounts to over 50 bottles. A nice mix of gendered perfumes, with some vintage and newer releases. I turned my nose up to the idea of purchasing the EDP again (despite loving Chanel), as I thought it had become all too common and I remember it becoming overbearing to me.

Well I couldn’t help my curiosity as I hadn’t smelled the EDT concentration. Bought a bottle of the 1.7 oz refillable spray in a white and gold accented container, and I don’t regret it!

It starts off with that all that citrus, and as it dries down I get the florals and fruit. Once it gets past that, I get that identifiable Coco Mademoiselle scent. It, personally, smells like a nice blend of every note from all of the stages.

Albeit it isn’t as intense as the EDP, this current formulation of the EDT is still quite strong! I prefer some other Chanel fragrances over this, which is probably because I was raised by strong women who wore no 5, no 19, Allure, and Cristalle. But I still love this. I have many memories tied to this. I’ve finally come to respect and appreciate a balance for both femininity and masculinity, and don’t fear rocking a “woman’s” scent now. I don’t have my sh!t together, but when I wear this I feel both beautiful and put together. So now that I’ve revisited this and made friends again, I think I’ll always have this around.

Eclectorina

I'll just write right off the bat that I agree with aforementioned statements this is a happy celebratory worthy perfume. Yes! I'd forgotten by slob that I have her in my collection stored away. I used to spray her, yes I'll use this pronounce for the coffee sipping morning glory time now that I found her, deliberately on to my neckline and dabbed off on cashmere scarfs and trenches that I wore without a worry in the world.. I was queen of paved city streets, autumn boots black as night and there's a crisp tone in her that suits colder weather. Crisp not in a green way, although it could be and remember this is written from memory purely but oh what a memory, crisp as in a theme that slices through the top notes all the way down to the very compelling comforting self-assured base. If any perfume wraps you in comfort, glory and adventurous mindset it's her, and I wouldn't hesitate to use for dating Mr Right. For a more cashual forgettable rendez-vous I'd steer away, as the musk is prominent enough to dabble a hole in your memory that does not sit well, if you know what I mean. Reserved for pleasurable, memorable moments only. Basta. Which could easily be your entire life, if you dared look back in competitious frenzy. I could write a book sized memoir based on the memories from wearing Coco Mademoiselle edt Chanel.

dnque

I think I don't like the lychee smell.

bel.gravia

Coco Mademoiselle EDT is the ultimate happy days-in-between-Christmas-and-New-Year perfume. A few years back, it was a lovely Boxing Day - bright, sunny, cool. Happy people and festive mood was in the air, the world had not known of Covid19 yet, all seemed less worrisome. I had my relatives visiting, and so we went for shopping as you know so many items go on sale. I was a perfume lover back then already. I walked into a perfume shop, just to you know see what is new, test perfumes as it brings me so much joy. Here she was. Coco Mademoiselle Chanel EDT. I picked the large tester bottle and liberately sprayed myself. Oh the scent had made me smile, and never fails to make me smile. So floral, bright, citrusy, woody, youthful and confident. I associate my very happy mood with this perfume. I am so glad I have a bottle of this, the ultimate versatile perfume. Gorgeous creation.

Coco Mademoiselle EDT was my first Chanel perfume in my early 20s, and this perfume still forms part of my perfume collection a decade later even though I have many more perfumes (from Chanel or otherwise) now. CM EDT can be a good choice as a grown-up's "everyday easy reach" for spring and summer, and I find it suitable for slightly more dressy/formal occasions during the day, such as professional meetings or a nice lunch/afternoon tea situation. It is mostly citrus wood and patchouli to my nose, the floral notes are well blended so they do not stand out on their own too much to me. Regardless of whether you like the Coco Mademoiselle line or not, you will probably be able to recognize it straightaway when you smell it.

RainbowGirl

This is very light to my nose. I get the hit of patchouli in the opening, but not the strong fresh orange that I get in the EDP opening. The orange is there, but mixed with the grapefruit, it's toned down a little. I don't get the bourbon vanilla, but there is a hint of sweetness.

I actually really like this fragrance. It feels lighter than the original. It doesn't project less, it's just more...airy. I think that airy freshness comes from the lychee. It still has that Coco Madamoselle signature smell, but it's fresher, and more girly.

I would choose this over the original. It's only slightly different. It's still a fresh clean smelling floral, but... prettier. This is a classy, pretty, clean, and fun fragrance.

Eoja1407

Beautiful scent. Very feminine and sophisticated. I like it better than EDP version.

aczwy

my signature scent in high school because i remember the girl a few years older than me that i so-admired said this was what she wore...i certainly understand why it's regarded as a classic but it's not really my type of scent

I am very late to the CM party. I most definitely have smelled this on many women, as signatures, mostly ranging in ages from 35ish to about 50ish but never ever knew what I was smelling. Though I always loved it when I smelled it.
I never sampled CM because I thought I hated it, because I got it mixed up with Chanel Allure, a long ago purchase of mine which I forced myself to wear and really began to hate. Years passed and I sort of forgot about Allure. And when Coco Mademoiselle was mentioned I immediately conflated it with Allure and told myself “I know what it smells like and I hate it”.
Well, finally in this last year I remembered what I actually had was Allure all those years ago (we are talking about 25 years ago), and sought to correct my stupidity and smell finally both Coco and Coco Mademoiselle. In both EDP and EDT formats,
Well,I disliked Coco. But that’s a review for another time. But CM? Fell in love instantly! I felt sad though that I now wanted to own and wear this lovely creation when soooo many others were already walking around wearing it. No matter. I needed to have it. I really loved both the EDP and the EDT but ended up with just the EDT for now. As the weather is warming I found the EDT to wear better on my warm skin. It’s lighter and airier. That’s not to say it has no sillage or longevity, because it does for me. I leave a nice light trail, and I get 8-10 hours easily on my skin and multiple days on my clothing.
I get strong grapefruit and rose on the opening and then mostly rose and patch throughout the dry down. Ending with a soft white musk. I can get some of the other notes coming in and out periodically, but sadly no vanilla. However it could be so well blended that I just can’t pick it out , because there is definitely a creaminess to this scent and it could be the vanilla. It is definitely not astringent as one would think with bergamot and grapefruit as the top notes. But it’s definitely got a freshness to it, just not a bite if it makes sense.

I purchased the CM body lotion to layer with this as I couldn’t seem to find any of my skin creams that wouldn’t conflict. My go-to is always Nivea cream, it blends with everything so well usually but I couldn’t get it to work here. The body lotion is heavenly on its own though so it’s a win!

I can’t make this my signature because it’s too many signatures of too many women, but in my head, it sorta is 😉

I've always loved the scent of Coco Mademoiselle EDP but found it a bit too strident or maybe too intense to wear myself...? Disappointing since I think the composition is beautiful. I tried the intense version because some suggested it smelled richer. But it didn't work for me either. But the EDT is wonderful: light and smooth and perfectly balanced. Excited to wear it this summer.

silverma

Smells like a lighter & less prominent version of Coco Mademoiselle EDP. Smells lovely & nice and light.

Nuran ali

Extremely fresh and féminine, flowers with a hint of earthy smell, if you like soft and fresh perfumes, this perfect for you, but don't expect any one but you to smell it, zero sillage

Mademoiselle B

This EDT was instant LOVE for me as it came out in 2002. I bought my first bottle right after I have smelled it in a magazine and I have had it in my perfume closet as a staple ever since. It followed me through my high school and college years and now my working life, I just simply cannot get enough of it. When the EDP came out, I also had it once, but unfortunately it is too strong for my liking and it does not develop the citric freshness that the EDT does on my skin, so I never got it again. But the EDT is definitely one of my all time favourite scents.

AquaBaby5

Without fail I dislike any Chanel perfume that features ylang ylang. For that reason I prefer Coco Mademoiselle EDT and Intense but I dislike the EDP. I also dislike the No 5 lineup in its entirety. In essence just because you have tried EDP and dislike it for one reason or another, don’t give up on the other Coco Mademoiselle offerings ;) it does help if you enjoy patchouli like I do. Coromandel may be my top favorite Chanel of all time aside from Chance EDP due to the patchouli. In this particular fragrance the patchouli is more subtle as this is more heavy on the citrus and does stay more sparkly, but it is still there in the dry down.

Edit 10/2022: decluttered this due to lasting power being atrocious, plus I’m eating my words and now a fan of No 5 Leau and Parfum :)

fragem

The bottle leaves a lot to be desired, but this is seriously so much better than the EDP version in my eyes. The EDP was so strong, and whenever I wore Coco Mademoiselle EDP, I would gas out others. The EDT version is lighter, fresher, and far more beautiful. Chanel is one of my favorite houses for women's perfumes, so props to them for creating this EDT version.

vanillaliebhaber

Unfortunately on my skin, all I get is woodiness and a huge dose of patchouli. I've tried to wear this again and again but this just doesn't seem to work for me. I keep on hoping for a classy elegant fragrance but I get no florals, no sweetness just a woody, peppery, patchouli mess.

T_S

Try as I might, this scent never fails to underwhelm me. I have tried both Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette and also the perfume on and off over the course of twenty years. I've received it as gifts, I've bought it myself on more than one occasion, and I've even had friends give me theirs a couple of times. No matter what, on my skin it always just smells woodsy with a giant dose of patchouli. It has a very strong, "old hippie" vibe when I put it on. With my body chemistry, this scent goes straight to the peppery undertones. I smell no florals, no softness, and definitely no citrus notes. My husband actually told me once that I smelled like pepper. It's such a disappointment because I love the idea of a signature Chanel fragrance, and I've always wanted to love Coco Mademoiselle like many others do, but on me, it's a total flop. There's a cloying, powdery earthiness to the fragrance that reminds me a lot of the heavily perfumed old ladies at church. Not youthful at all! I'm always shocked when I hear people say it's for young women.

anastasija777

Such a beautiful, classy scent! I love this so much but I hate how overworn this is.. Everybody wears it or has a friend/mum/aunt/ex who wears it. And I don't want to smell like everybody else. This would be my signature scent if it wasn't this popular. But, ofcourse, there's a reason why this scent is so popular. It's perfect. Perfect balance of earthy patchouli and bright orange. Beautiful.

Lucretiana

A scent that participates in my life since it came out, the reformulation thing, yes absolutely, they did it, a couple of times I'm sure, but to our great luck Chanel does it, as with everything, a little more elegant than others, I'm looking at you Gucci - when these guys take something from a perfume they don't leave much else. So yes this is still beautiful, amazingly beautiful in my opinion. When I say it participates, I mean that I didn't always have it myself, it is simply a perfume that a mothers friend, my friend, a professor, a lovely lady you meet at the grocers has. It is a masterpiece of a concoction Chanel was able to create with all the Misses, in the case of the edt a super duper well blended, creamy, silky, fresh juice. When I reapply this midday at work (I reapply almost everything :D) my colleague closes his eyes and waits till the wave of pleasure reaches his desk and then closes his eyes. I use it only in the warmer weather, because of the gourmand blood that runs through my veins, but in general this is all year, all day. Although peeps, try everything on your skin, we are all individuals.

Jana711xx

I am sure this EDT has been reformulated, I have never been a fan of this or the EDP always been far to heavy for my liking. I have recently tried a sample and to my utter amazement I completely love it! So much so I have purchased a 50ml bottle. It reminds me so much of CK Contradiction which is so difficult to get hold of these days but was a favourite of mine for years. I find the orange in the EDP far too strong and cloying but in the EDT It is so light and breezy and lovely. I don’t get any vetiver at all which is excellent as I hate the stuff and the patch does exactly what a patch should do, enhance the other notes not overwhelm them. Yes this CM EDT is becoming a firm favourite

Swedelish

Recently started to crave this sort of modern department store chypre, you know, the Miss Dior kind, but didn't want something as obvious as Miss Dior or Coco Mad EDP. Memories of the EDT came flooding back and I just knew it would be the ticket. So, I bought it and I couldn't love it more.

What sets the edt apart from the edp is its citrusy opening that carries into the heart, making it fresh and sparkling. It is more crisp and better constructed in my mind. The juiciness I get from the lychee fruit is to die for, possibly my favorite part about the fragrance. Lychee can also smell kinda creamy, which it does in this.

The EDT has none of the unpleasantness of the EDP or Intense. It's harmonic and never threatens a headache. It wears exceptionally well on my skin and clothes, and gets better as it dries down once the citruses merge with the florals, patch and vanilla. I love the vetiver punch alongside the musk in the base, as well. It can satisfy several fragrant cravings at once. Perfect year round fragrance. Fits every mood and occasion. I sometimes pair Prada Eau Tendre body cream with it and they are a dream team, two peas in a pod.

My bottle is from 2009. It has the wide removable cap and same bottle style as Coco EDT.

Roselover225

Got a decant the other day from my favorite indie fragrance store in town. I was on a “let’s try some Chanel’s kick”. The salesperson raved about this one over the others. And my tester strip did smell terrific, so I went with it. It starts out very sparkling, with lots of lychee. The rose comes in pretty quickly and is fruity and sweet. Then comes the patchouli. Unfortunately, patchouli is one note that is super prominent on me. Not my favorite. On my skin, after a couple of hours that’s all that was left. Now, it’s not a dirty patchouli like a head shop, but peppery and spicy. That lasted for eight hours, with moderate sillage. Will pass on this decant to my daughter and stick with Chanel no5 for me.

LibraMoon

This is my favorite of all time. My Holy Grail fume. I love the edp too. Citrus, floral, woody, some vetiver...just perfection in a bottle. Long lasting for an edt, especially on my clothes. Can't live without her.

ionescu_ionut17

I love this Perfume, when she wears this perfume I wear chanel egoiste platinium. I feel it shares the vibe, classic, sexy and this sends me to a field of flowers. I love it and recommend it.

I can still smell it after 8 hours, skin scent but it’s there and is so inviting.

chrystelsinclair

My go-to scent for spring. I have had this one for many years and I keep repurchasing them.

Elegant and fresh, filled with creamy patchouli, a bit spicy with a bit of vanilla and subtle rose. It's a very young scent but not girly. I think any woman can wear it for simple days. It doesn't have a wow-effect if that's what you are looking for, but so far I haven't found anything like this (although some have compared it to Carven Le Parfum which I also have - no resemblance to me).

I have one question though. I have been buying this for many years and been keeping all of my bottles. The bottles have changed. The white top is supposed to be champagne coloured and sparkly. But has anyone noticed a change in the scent? Or am I just going coo-coo?

meligonlan

For the price point, I am not impressed with the longevity.

Tea&Witchery

Wonderful classy fragrance. Very long lasting, very complex. Grapefruit and honey. Perfect for smelling rich. A little bit of some very fresh cleaner towards the beginning. Unfortunately very much overworn. By everyone. Including my french professor.

mdluli

Better than the EDP and last the whole day

TinaTsia

The EDT version is so much better than the original. It’s so much lighter and fresher, it’s so elegant yet youthful. It’s my favourite spring/summer special occasion fragrance. The notes are so well blended. Chanel is the only house that perfects patchouli beautifully, I have no problems with this fragrance or any other of their fragrances turning dirty on me and I love it for that. It has more of a moderate sillage but for me, it lasts reasonably well since it’s an EDT, about 5-6 hours on me before I reapply. I just love this scent.

Nancy83

My mom's perfume.

The first minutes is a vibrant bergamot citrusy patchouli scent, I'm not into patchouli strong fragrances, but I don't mind here. 1 hour later I could smell more the delicate rose note. It's airy, not offensive, well blended, well balanced, a bit watery, I have a feeling the smell is faint, but it's still sniffable for me and the people around. The projection is softer after 3-4 hours, but last the remaining of the day.

I wouldn't buy this fragrance for myself because it's my mother signature scent and that would be too weird, but I like it and think it's better than some other citrus rose patchouli perfumes I've tried, like Tory Burch Love Relentlessly, but I think I would rather go with Dior Miss Dior EDP, orangier, less sophisticated than Coco Mademoiselle EDT, but more my style.

marusiatko

I am very dissapointed by the lasting power and sillage of this EDT - my batch is from 2018 (2901) and its as weak as water. It is literally NON EXISTANT. Chanel keeps on going watering down their formulas - not worth the reputation of Chanel :(((

natasha.wahyudihardjo

I'm surprised at myself because I actually love this one although I could swear I loathe the EDP. This one is airy, crisp, while still being chic and feminine. I hate to say this, but this smells very expensive! I mostly detect citrus and white florals in this fragrance.

This is perfect if you need some confidence boost. I imagine wearing this before making a very important pitch to clients. The only downside is that the bottle is not as lovely as the EDP version!

Nicole79

Coco Mademoiselle edt was my first Chanel fragrance back in 2005-2006.I loved it.My sister loved it also. After a while I gifted to her. Then I bought the Edp version ).But. ..for me the EDT it's better...it has something it's sparkling ,clean ,sexy ,expensive classy, easy to wear perfect for all ocasions. It makes u feel good.Everyone loved it! I still love Coco Made After all this time...both..EDP and EDT.a Classic ❤️

DT953

Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette concentration takes a LONG time to hit the sweet, lovely centre. It opens with a strong patchouli hit that you'll either love or hate. It'll make you see why it's called 'stinkweed'. After about three hours, you get to the vanilla and tonka. Boy is this where it gets lovely. I used to think it didn't last long, but then I got about 15 hours of it. Not a heavy hitter, but it's around for the long haul.

Midnight Lady

A bit lighter and fresher than EDP, but still keeping the DNA. No prominent litchi - thank God. Nice citrus feel. Ideal spring fragrance with a depth.

I am late to the game with this fragrance. I am an avid collector of many styles of frags but this one I assumed would smell generic (based on what I had read). Since I already own tons of bottles that I consider generic safe office perfumes, I didn't want to take a chance. Years into collecting I bought a bottle on ebay. IT IS STUNNING. I cannot believe I have been missing out for so long on this beauty.

This is like a long-lasting freshie! Long lasting for citrus fresh that is. This is the summer frag I have been looking for all along. Truly a work of art. I heard that the EDP is vastly different than the edt. I still have not taken the plunge on the EDP. I think I will stop while I'm ahead as I was not impressed very much by ANY of the Chance flankers.

Kalitera

I adore this perfume.
I was denying it for so long though. despite the fact that it's a great perfume, it became way too common. It is almost an indication of bad taste and lack of imagination to use it... or so I thought.
Yesterday I bought it. I was not planning it, very emotional purchase! I cannot oppose it's appeal anymore. Coco Mademoiselle (especially the EDT version) blends so well with the skin. It feels very luxurious and seductive. At the same time, it is very easy to wear, it becomes part of your skin smell.
I love wearing it in the summer when it's hot - patchouli and citrus become pronounced but not aggressive. Just beautiful.

Scissorslizardspock

I've been wearing Chanel Coco Mad EDT for about a year now. The opening is a blast of all things citrus, bright, loud, in your face, and yes - even screechy. I love it. I find it fresh and invigorating in a more refined and complex way then I'd get from a cologne. This version wears very well on me - 8 hours plus. It's a versatile workhorse in my collection, I can wear it winter, spring and fall, day or night. I'm a modest sprayer, so I'm never overwhelmed by th patch running in the background. It's bright and cheerful and elegant. There is a similar vibe between this and Miss Dior, the older versions. If you enjoy one, the other would be a rather safe blind buy in my opinion.

ClEL

Coco Mademoiselle Intense is the intense version of Eau de toilette more than the Eau de parfum.

greyhoundmom

Pretty pink water in a pretty bottle. Yes I actually do like the bottle! It's simplistic but still elegant and classy. But like I said.. pink water. Maybe I am being unfair because my dry skin type requires stronger fragrances that "stick".. this version of Coco Mad is perfect for those who are lucky enough to find fragrances "too strong"--they will find this EDT to be just right.

I love the scent, don't get me wrong. It is absolutely beautiful. Fresh citrus and juicy lychee with, to my nose, very little patchouli. I think the patchouli is what hangs around on my skin and keeps me smelling the EDP for hours.. its absence in this fragrance renders it to only lasting for about 5 minutes before I can't smell a thing.

If Coco Mad EDP and the new Intense EDP are too much for you, this EDT will be right up your alley :)

Minty Mouth

@ Helbo. You said "You won't offend anyone with this EDT, but you won't wow them either". Well, I've got news for you: this EDT totally 'wow's me in the autumn chills we're having in the UK right now. I think it's stunning!

damienthoresson

Often finding the EDP to be a bit too short lived, I decided to give this a test today. It is a bit short lived, much like the edp, but I much prefer this. I don't think this fragrance was ever meant to be overly strong, more softly elegant whereas the wafts you occasionally get are beautiful in their lightness, rather than stronger. I just sprayed one spray on the back of my hand but hours later, I get soft little reminders. I don't really need to describe this, but I can say that I don't think there's anything bad about it. The EDP could be a bit indolic and cloying ... this never is and I really appreciate that. Hope to buy at one point.

Edit: I got a 50mL. Nice :)

whatischypre

Okay, one question: would you look through a foggy window or a clear one? If you choose the clear one, go with Coco Mademoiselle EDP. EDT to me reminds me of a knock off perfume, it only hints to the legendary notes of rose but it's not the real thing. Spray Coco M, wash your hands 3-4 times and then smell your wrist - that is the EDT.

I'm definitely not a fan, because I simply don‘t see the point in the EDT – why buy a washed out version for a bit cheaper instead of having the real thing? EDT is not a lighter version of EDP - it is a foggy faded-out scent and there was no need for Chanel to create it at all, the world already has a diamond that is Coco Mademoiselle EDP.

Lilacs&Lavender

Yup, agree with what most of you think. You won't offend anyone with this EDT, but you won't wow them either. This is a pretty, citrusy, and softly sweet fragrance, but not worth the price. There are multiple fragrances on the market which have citrus, Rose, patchouli notes. Granted they aren't identical (unless you go down the dodgy made goodness knows where and with what road) but this simply isn't unique enough to warrant me paying more than I did for a mini. The EDP and Intense have far more silage and longevity on me and are far far more interesting. Coco Mad in any variation isn't on my top shelf but I do like them. Honestly though, for the amount Chanel expects ME to pay, I expect a far more attractive flacon.

raiza1990

This smells pretty, and that is it. This is more inoffensive than Gabrielle.
I couldn't smell any specific note, just a well blended lady- like smell. It wasn't fresh or flowery or sweet. It is actually difficult to describe. It was a calm, soft and a bit vintage (not dated) smell. Like something a lady who lives in one of these old, art deco french apartments would wear.
Sillage is very soft.
I have nothing more to say. It is nice, but, in my view, overpriced.

Pandoro

This is the scent I end up wearing the most, it's fresh and clean, I find I can wear it in pretty much every season, if I'm not sure what to wear this is my go to fragrance!

Sharp and elegant, it lasts quite a lot on me which I wasn't expecting at all, thought with time it sits closer and closer to the skin but I can definitely smell it after 6+ hours.

This is the only scent that I've nearly finished, the 50ml bottle is more than halfway empty, my sister also frequently uses this but if it was only used by me I'm sure I would have reached the middle quite soon anyway!

I'd recommend this to someone looking for a clean scent that's not too generic, it may be just a bit sharp at first spray and also be careful of how much you spray on, don't underestimate the power of this edt as it could go from bright to blinding neon with that one extra spritz.

AnitaHendricks

I like this perfume but it's definitely not worth the money on my skin. It's completely gone within a few hours. It does have a pretty opening with light, powdery citrus. It's slightly sweet too in a sophisticated way because of the light patchouli.

monbella23

Very clean, almost like laundry detergent. Not magical like the eau de parfum.

iamoir

For some reason the EDT version behaves better than the EDP, according to my nose at least. Well, it has the Coco Mademoiselle identity in high doses for sure, but somehow it is better, there is an earthy element to the EDT that the EDP replaces with a balsamic effect, which doesn't even work with the overall blend.

The drydown reminds me of autumn weather, crisp air, something cold and distant, some rain, wet leaves here and there, and the overall preparation for winter, the amount of orange and bergamot notes remind us of Christmas, it is definitely an optimistic and happy scent, it's the joyous effect that J'adore has. Also, the spicy facet is very complimentary.

The good thing about it it's the lack of sweetness, honestly, this is not sweet at all, the notes are proportionately blended, very symphonic, nothing stands out more than the other. Seems layer-friendly and versatile. Doesn't have to be jealous of the EDP, it has it's own character.

Will I wear it? No, I cannot identify myself with it, it's too optimistic. I might acquire a sufficient decant just for the delicious spicy and earthy element blended in a modern concept.

SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY-
Go to your local LIDL - Suddenly Madame Glamour
It costs €3.50 and smells too similar to be distinguishable.
Thats 23 bottles for the price of one chanel at €90.

carrie.nellis

To those of you looking to save money try Armaf Club Da Nuit for women it's a very good dupe CM and lasts 6 to 8 hours if sprayed on clothes will last for days .. The price is so reasonable considering CM to isn't what it used to be since they reformulated it ...This recommendation is based on my experience and how the perfume reacted to my body chemistry ..

sail0rmars

I have to admit that this perfume revived my love for perfumes once again. Actually, I haven't smelled anything breathtaking lately, but this one is so unique. So much better than the edp, so complex and alluring, this perfume despite being so popular, proves to be one of the best out there. This one radiates around you like a veil, so alluring and feminine.. Oh, and this perfume is so recognisable! It's a really happy perfume, a perfume of a happy woman!

shannfernando

My boyfriend does not like this.. He thinks its way too powdery :( I think it's great however, it ought to be worn graciously and at night time. People are misled by its citrusy opening to think it will stay fresh throughout the day. HONEY you are mistaken!
This is heady, not as heady as coco or no.5, but heady nonetheless. I smell it on 14-17 year olds and that's a crime against this beauty! It's far too mature for kids that age. This ought to be worn by women 21 and over. It's got that mature powdery note and the patchouli in the dry down makes it divine!
Sad thing is it's overused and used incorrectly at the wrong times of the day for the wrong occasion. So yes, it obviously then becomes overrated. This is a legend of a perfume. It ought to be used that way.

PS. EDT lasts way longer than the EDP.

meliecat

I had a tester back in my twenties when it was brand-brand new - honestly, I don`t even think that tester was genuine..but boy, did it smell divine! I think back then this was the next big thing, the new Opus up until the point it got waaaay too commercial and I got sick of the fact that every second girl walked past me smelled like this..Which is no wonder - this is probably one of the only perfume everyone I know likes, so I guess it`s all mass-appeal.. Today I tried it again and I think I`ll either get a small bottle of it or a cheap flanker resembling to it for my collection. P.S: I find no similarity with Miss Dior.

scentnut

Coco Mademoiselle eau de toilette and eau de parfum (on me anyway) are two totally different scents. I gravitate toward the toilette version in late summer / early fall when the days start feeling a bit shorter and I tire of the fruity, coconut scents of summer. The EDT is heavier on the bergamot and litchi initially then the dry down almost has a spicy tea (think chai) kind of feel to it. It is a warm, "grounded" scent. I tend to get a little nose blind with this one however, though I receive compliments and others can still smell it on me. I definitely tend to be a bit heavier handed with CM EDT. Don't let the patchouli scare you off, it's done VERY well here and does not evolve into dirty hippie at college territory. My only complaint is the rectangular bottle. The sprayer works great but it's simply unattractive. Nonetheless, it is very versatile and wearable for just about anyone. My go to in September!

unicajiha_01

Most elegant perfume I smelled in my life.
But poor sillage and longevity, I want to return it's not worth the price!

Roxanne25

If I have to pick up just one perfume in the world, it will be Coco Mademoiselle. So wonderfully blended citruses (sweet orange and tangy grapefruit) and amazing rose over patchouli base. Patchouli here doesn't smell dirty and heavy, not even earthy, just heavenly woody and a bit sweet.
I'm not into citrusy scents, and patchouli is usually not my thing, but Coco Mademoiselle somehow not just make it right, it makes it perfect.
It was the first Chanel perfume I fell in love with and still holds the first place in my perfume wardrobe. Coco Mademoiselle is sooo me, so wonderfully complements my body chemistry! I always feel beautiful when I wear Coco Mademoiselle, like beauty is shining from inside of me, amplified by the scent. I wear it with formal attire, with cocktail dresses, even with jeans and T shirt. Coco Mademoiselle is so well mannered that fits any situation and any time.
I have edp too and I like it a lot, but edp is a tad sweeter, a bit less sparkling than edt. It's like edt is elegant, witty and bright lady in her 30es, while edp is her elder sister or her mother - same DNA, same beauty, just an idea calmer and more mature.
If I have to describe Coco Mademoiselle with just one word it would be irreplaceable.

Logan021891

This is a citrusy version of coco mademoiselle edp less sweeter which i like because i can wear this even in the hottest days the only downfall of this, is the longevity and sillage. not worth the price i guess.

pretty mini collector

It reminds me of Florida Water. Of course, I'll stick with the affordable one, so I don't own this perfume.

noellejosephine

I took the twist and spray purse friendly version of this when I travelled overseas recently. I got comments about it everywhere I went- everyone wanted to know what the beautiful scent I was wearing was!

DONNA VARSIK

I SPRAYED THE PARFUME VERSION OF THIS ON MY WRIST,WAY TO STRONG FOR ME SO I PURCHASED THE TOILETTE VERSION I LAYER IT WITH COCO CHANEL ,ITS LESS OVER POWERING FOR ME THAT WAY.EVEN THIS IS STRONG YOU ONLY NEED 1 SPRAY AND IT LASTS ME A GOOD 18 HOURS

Margreet

I keep on comparing CM Edt to edp. I normally buy edp but I had it and it wasn't special or even more to say, it was making me tired. Like - dislike relation. I decided to buy Edt. I must say that it's magic. As far as I always prefer deeper scents, this is what I was searching for in CM edp, miss dior edp, miss dior edt for years. It's like the perfect balance between all of those. It makes me like Mille line even though, because of popularity, I didn't want to like it. Edp is more intense in the beginning but it's Edt which stays longer and sweeter on my skin. I will update about the sillage etc because at the moment my nose is a bit confused with all those Mille experiments. Edt gives me an inspiration and makes me happy while edp didn't do that for me.
UPDATE: I just wore it yesterday and there came man to me to ask what perfume I had on. I had to write it down so he could buy for his wife. I told the story a while later to my coworker and he said, a bit for a joke, aw yeah, the grammy scent. Conclusion : people love it or not, it does have a good sillage. I'm happy

A couple of ladies at work wear this. All I can say that it's a masterpiece! Gorgeous silage of flowers, citruses and cleanliness. 9.5/10

perfume_infatuated

A safe sweet, powdery patchouli perfume. Suitable for daily use, and proper for the office. Pleasant by nature.

DrCarrionGirl

I like it! This is difficult for me to review because I'm not the best at picking out all the notes and this one has a lot going on. I like the EDT as the EDP is a bit too strong for me. Upon first spray, I get a rose that settles quite quickly into citrus, floral patchy and then the vanilla/musk notes emerge at the end. I can't believe how much I like this fragrance because I do not like rose - at all. But this is rose done right and I'm a believer. This feels sophisticated and yes, grown up but in a good way! I love the drydown. I'm still slowly feeling/smelling my way through the Chanels ... and this is the first one that really spoke to me. None of the Chanels smell good to me from the bottle. You definitely need to try Mademoiselle on your skin to enjoy the creamy goodness at the end!

ThirzaD

sweet sugary vanilla, sweet grapefruit/vanilla, sweet oranges/vanilla. at about 10 min sweet flowers/patchouli pop out.

patchouli/musks get stronger at about 1 hour.

2 hours in the sweet sugary vanilla with fruits is significantly weaker but there are beautiful wafts of fruity florally vanillas.

at three hours it the wafts of fruit/floral/vanilla seemed to get stronger.

the patchouli and vetiver and vanilla were strongest during the 5-8 hour marks. still got wafts of sweetness though.

i was left with a vanilla/grapefruit skin scent at the "end" which lasts until i shower.

on clothing/fabric it lasts forever i think. i sprayed it on a little cotton round so long ago i forgot, it has been weeks though i'm sure, it still smells of vanilla and vetiver ( i think. it's kinda chocolaty/musty but in a good way) whatever it is it still smells very good after all this time.

i only need ONE DROP per arm, i slowly push on the sprayer and when one drop pops out i touch it to my arm! otherwise it's too much of a good thing. i love it!

the EDT is sugary sweet while the EDP is syrupy sweet.

phoebe25

I adore this fragrance!!! It smells so sexy and feminine and works as both a daytime or nighttime parfume! The longevity is amazing, after just one spray on your skin it will last the entire day!!! I LOVE the way it smells on my skin!!! This is a high quality, and well done fragrance That never gets old

Ladies this is SHEER LUX! I

Konga5000

If you folks can really pick out individual NOTES on this one- good for you. All I smell is "cosmetic counter stew". Pretty and very feminine nonetheless -- but a stew. I was gifted a 1.7 oz bottle of this last week- and before I had smelled it I was like "I feel like I won the Lottery!" a FREE Chanel !!!!!
Now I feel like I won a free box of nicely made expensive nylon stockings (another thing this one smells like to me!) Oh well......

redskyatnight

Coco Mademoiselle is bright and citrusy at first, drying down to a warm, fruity patchouli with a dusting of rose. Still too fruity for me, but I recommend it for someone who doesn't like cloying fruity scents. It's altogether feminine and sophisticated without being too stark.

GeorgiaMoxie

Sharp citrusy musky patchouli at first, then dries down to a kind of dirty-ish patchouli with a bit of citrusy flowers and vetiver. I really like it as the heart opens but the trail and initial blast is meh for me. This could be unisex, I can definitely see a guy wearing it.

Longevity isn't very good.

Overall, ok but if you're going to spend the money just get the EDP instead because it's really better and lasts longer. Seriously.

Karonidas

nice fresh soft rosey scent

Arlene-Beatrix

I love it! Fresh, ladylike and so French! It keeps EDP's orange & patchouli vibe deep inside but it's a lot lighter, suitable for nearly all seasons. Heaven for the nose, almost too good to be true!

TakaBeata

Toilet water Coco M. brings you the freshness. Scent of the cleanness and always elegance . Into the summer I uses 3x the spray. :)

Dadadida

I don't like it.
It's a very well blended perfume, with many layers and an ever-changing scent, but ultimatley it's annoying and overwhelming.

It starts off with orange, which is a bit to "screechy" to my liking. it's slightly too sharp and sour, and doesn't flow smoothly. Afterwards comes the litchi - realistic, fruity, and sweet, and the grapefruit, a mixture that's similar to the one that's in Salvatore Ferragamo's Signorina edt, and is honesly quite nice.

Then, just like in Miss dior edp, it turns animallic. The base notes of very soapy musks and vetiver form a wet layer, almost like soil, which combined with the sweetness of the vanilla and patchouli is very overwhelming - especially because, weirdly, once the base notes appear, the sillage becomes much greater.

I think miss dior edp has a similiar vibe, yet it's classier and more sophisticated.
If i would need to sum up this fragrance in 3 words it would be: Animallic; dirty; sweet.

Topanga2.0

Cannot stand this version. I had a sample of the EDP version which is less citrusy and less green smelling to my nose, this one is just too green and citrus it makes me feel like I'm snorting grass that's been soaked overnight in patchouli oil and bergamot. It was a gift and although it's expensive I have not used it since I got it and it just sits in a dark drawer and I would never go near it with a metre long pole.

Matt Abdul

Last week bought myself CM EDP 100ML and then yesterday I bought myself CM EDT 100ML. My next purchase goal would be the Parfum concentration.

It's fresh definitely and a little sweet just only for the opening. But the heart and base notes are just the same only the volume has turned down a little.

So in result, it won't be too strong or screechy. I really love the effect of this perfume to peoples around me and I referring to the Coco Mademoiselle perfume not the concentration.

The Girls - He smells really good.

The Boys - He smells flowery & really good.

The Ladies - He smells gorgeous, I think i want the perfume that he's wearing.

The Guys - He smells seductive but he's a guy. Confuse.

The Women's - This young guy smells wonderful, a lovely sophisticated floral type of scent.

The Man's - This young guy smells decent and good.

Thanks to the masculine vibe and edge in CM. I'm officially a loyal consumer now, even though they were reformulated. Well, what can I say.

It's Chanel !

cocoethermes

This fragrance is lighter and more wearable like many reviews have said. I've found it to be a bit sweater and less serious. It sprays out a fine mist and has moderate sillage. It won't knock someone out, unlike its eau de parfum counterpart. I enjoy the drydown of the edt more than the edp because it isn't cloying and remains faithful to its oriental theme. Although I love both the edp and edt, I love them the most together; they compliment each other perfectly. This is one of my favorite scents, despite it being hugely popular. I've become quite familiarized with all of the mainstream perfumes as an avid perfume collector, and I must add that anything coco mademoiselle is worth the price. The scent is luxurious, unique, and long-lasting. It's recognizable and definitely iconic.

Antares811

This is one of the best fragrances of all time.
This gorgeous EDT is divine layered with its body lotion.
I prefer the EDT to the EDP because it's lighter, fresher, and a bit less citrusy in the opening with the same beautiful warm, spicy and slightly sweet drydown.
Extremely sophisticated and feminine.
Masterpiece.

10/10.

Creamdeviolet

This is my "man wants to kiss me" scent, lovely but I don't always wear it duo to that reason! I have the body lotion too, CM is very nice, and I much prefer EDT, lasting power is great

khixitin

This really a nice scent, but not for me. It's for luxurious, elegant fashioned girls. I prefer smelling it on my girlfriend though.

PricklyAndHot

Lighter than the edp and less interesting.

Kon-nos91

Chanel is always a safe and classy perfume option. Today I tried it and my nose thinks it's slightly similar to Miss Dior EDT 2013 edition, way more citrus with a 'harsh' orangie opening that lasts a lot and for sure something like more mature let's say.

I am saying this not to compare it with patchouli perfumes or call it generic as I am a gourmandise perfume lover. It's bold, it has a strong character, you can easily recognize an orange sharpness, nicely blended floral notes with grapefruit, hidden rose and vetiver, then a lot of patchouli and finally a powdery/creamy base to hold on your skin. It ends up with this sweetness when Coco Mademoiselle EDP starts with this.

I find CM EDT more mature as I said. It looks simplier and it supposed to be softer for an EDT but it's not. It looks also similar to Miss Dior Cherie 2011-discontinued due to it's notes, but no. Sharp citrus/a bit animalic/powdery. You know what? I like it but I am not dying for it. What is LOVE is the amount that only one spray of it covers and the color of the perfume should and it is 'spicy' pink! Excellent sillage and lasting power for an EDT but what makes me sad is that Chanel and Coco Mademoiselle line follows the trends and competes the trend of patchouli/rose 'classy' combination lovers, making it's perfumes crowd pleasers than statements.

PerfumeKing14

i prefer this version than the edp. on me this settles much better & actually lasts longer for some unknown reason. i do like the edp but i do much prefer this version, they smell almost identical but for me the edp is harsh at 1st where as this is softer

NancyD76

I have this one for several years now. I always have a period in autumn when I want to wear this one.

However I normally don't like patchouli, in this scent the patchouli is not overwhelming. I think of this scent as one of the all time classics, wearable, chic, feminin and very present.

One of the minor points is that many women are wearing this one, in my region it's the best selling female perfume for quite a long time now, so you cannot call this one an original scent.

Matt Abdul

I've been wearing CM Edp for 6 months now. I like the top notes, the base notes mmmm my love love love part.

But the middle notes, its too loud. The floral scents is choking me to death. Every single day I wear CM Edp, I was like "Omg here it comes the middle notes, ready to get choke again" and God when will the middle notes gonna end lingering and let the base notes emerge already. It's my favorite part u know.

So I was wondering, is the Edt version has the middle notes volume down & life period shortened ? and the base notes emerge sooner & linger earlier ? Because if it is, I might change to this Edt version then. My 50ml CM Edp can only last for 2 weeks now almost sucked up dry already.

All Queens here, spill some advice please.

Need to decide whether I should get the Edt to overcome my so not favorite CM Edp middle notes that chokes me every time I wear this juice problem.

Thank u.

Pinkfan

I love Coco Mademoiselle so much I have both the EDP and EDT. The EDT is sweeter and less complex - it doesn't develop much throughout the day. I keep this for dress down Fridays and more casual days. It lasts the whole day and is very wearable.

Elviraelbasan

Smells beautiful ! If you want an economical replacement try sanderling by yves de sistell or Lily de Pastel by ulric de varens .

nathalie87

I love the eau de toilette version on my skin, it is sweeter and lighter and it makes me fall in love with this scent! But.. i have now been wearing it for almost 2 years, trying to make it my signature but I think I have to give it up, even though i have been wearing it for such a long time it just dont smell like "me"! And I NEVER get compliments on it! So.. i think a have to let it go even though i love the smell, on other women, that is.. i think I will keep the bottle, just to try it on now and the, Sometimes I really crave it!

tinaelisa

So it took me a few years to fall in love with Coco Mademoiselle. But now I have! And I have fallen for the edt in specific. I also have the perfume extrait and worn the edp a few times, but no.. Edt it is! It is very long-lasting, silage is very good, but not too in your face as with the edp. The fragrance has some soft spiciness and is not too girly, too womanly of too masculine. It strikes a great balance between them all and is a perfect allrounder. Great for every time of the year, every occasion.
Also the dry body oil from the Coco Mademoiselle line (very affordable btw in contrast to the edt/ edp) is so amazing! Really worth owning and can be worn even without the edt, because it's strong and lasts long.

nise

This is my second review of this gorgeous perfume. I made a hasty judgment that Coco Mademoiselle is only a spring and summer scent, but now that it is passing from autumn to winter in the Southern Hemisphere I can confirm without a doubt that the cooler months really bring out the beauty, richness and depth of this perfume. The patchouli and vanilla take centre stage and I just adore it.

I initially had Coco Mademoiselle as my signature scent, then went on a rampant binge of expanding my horizons with other perfume houses, Guerlain, Oscar de La Renta, Rochas and other Chanel scents. I have come back full circle and fallen in love with Coco Mad again. She's a perfect creature and definitely a stayer in my wardrobe. I guess I had to go looking elsewhere before realising I always had a beauty patiently waiting for me.

Emzarie

This has been my favourite perfume for years! It's absolutely beautiful. It's much softer and more delicate than the EDP, which is great because most Chanel perfumes tend to be too bold for my taste.
This one starts off with a perfect mix of patchouli and citrus, then dries down into a smooth blend of vanilla, floral, and musk. An amazing scent, I recommend everyone sniff it at least once.

AriaW

Sweeter and fresher than EDP, but too weak for my nose.

bananayana

It's classic. Wearable all year long, day or night, rainy or sunny. Perfect for every occasion. If you don't know what to wear, Mademoiselle is there for you. A must-have for a young and trendy girl. If you haven't tried this perfume, you should definitely check it out.

Antares811

I adore Coco Mademoiselle and of course I love this EDT as well, lighter, less citrusy and a bit more wearable than the beautiful EDP.
Just received a big bottle of this EDT for Valentine's Day. It's fresh, light, spicy, a gorgeous floral, subtle yet longlasting, very classy and feminine.
Different from all the gourmand-fruity-sugary scents around.
This is perfection: CLASS IN A BOTTLE.
I use this along with the EDP (a spritz of EDP on my nape and a spritz of EDT on my chest, wrists and behind my ears). I think they work perfectly together, the EDT is lively, spicier and fresher whereas the EDP adds intensity, especially in the beautiful sweet and spicy drydown. The EDT lasts for days on clothes.
Perfect for warmer months, you can wear it all year round though.
SUBLIME!

Fawkey

A very wearable fragrance. Suitable for so many occasions & ages. However is is sooo popular that I do not think it will ever be my signature fragrance. I have no idea how to describe the fragrance as it just seems to start, set & end the same, which is great as sometimes the dry down of a fragrance is awful compared to top notes. Smells very classy, chic, feminine & expensive. The only downside is I really do not like it when it is too hot, it changes on me, develops a chemically smell. I think it is a perfect people pleaser & would not offend many.

Flashshock

Perfection. It's chemistry works with mine as does Jean Paul Gaultier original and Miss Dior.
It does not give me nor anyone a headache, if it does then research for you could be allergic to one of the perfume's components

jalhumid92

Classy, elegant and sweet, but in a mature way. This was the first fragrance by husband ever bought for me, and every time I smell this I'm flooded with memories. I'll always love Coco Mademoiselle, it is super wearable and to me, timeless.

Deirdre1969

I think I like this better than the CM EDP. This is fresher and sweeter! Maybe lighter too, but they're both strong. It's the first CM I tested, but I bought the EDP instead because it was a much prettier bottle!

Maggan

My absolutley most wearable fragrance. It is always right, all year arond, in all situations. Not even No 19 is that wearable, it is not right in really hot summer. The EdP and the perfume of Coco Mlle are the same wearable, but the EdT is a bit mor fun, so I prefer this one. I have loved Coco Mlle EdT for quite many years, it is impossible to get tired of it! Elegant, classy, fun, confident, longlasting, a fragrance of true Chanel-quality. I love the practical twist-and-spray-bottle!!!

CarrieWhite

Can't stand it, it gives me headache

hippiechick13

This is a worthy departure from No 5 if you are a fan of the brand and that particular hallmark fragrance and if Coco, the original, is a bit too rich for you. It is fresh but very, very classy and sophisticated, and smells pure Chanel.

It's great for those who aren't inclined towards amber fragrances or very deep orientals, and those who find the original Coco Chanel a bit too strong or spicy. I personally love it, but this is a fresher, more summery interpretation of Coco, which I think is one of the best fragrances ever made. It's just so beautiful.

This is a great fragrance for all year though and I think would be glam enough for an evening event but safe enough for work. It can easily appeal to a delicate girl or a sporty type.

This is a good example of a brand taking a classic and reinterpreting it for a new era.

ellina1984

I bought this thinking I would enjoy it in the scorching summer heat. It is pleasant in the beginning, and the citrus at the top is rather refreshing. But the jasmine in the middle does not agree with me at all, and smells like urine. I know this sounds rude, but it' s the only accurate way of describing what I smell. I have also smelt it on other people sinc,e, and keep picking up this weird urine smell - kind of stale and tart in a bad way. I have also read in various fragrance blogs that jasmine can smell like that if not done well. Sorry, I had to give this away.

ScarlettX

Love it just like I love EDP. Elegant, classy luxurious fragrance for confident modern woman.
I like citrus notes and I enjoy patchouli.
Very sophisticated and exquisite.
I can imagine wearing it with black coat on autumn when wind is blowing and leaves are falling.

nurul.ain

I got its vial sample..I really love CM edt as it smells fresh n cooling-citrusy on its initial spray...it dries down to be floral as I can smell rose in it.the drydown is also a bit balmy and "dry-woody" type as it originate from vetiver..the best part of this perfume is the earthy patchouli.

patchouli in CM edt is an exceptional for me,as not all perfumes that consist of patchouli suits me well..CM edt also smells a bit sweet as it has litchi but I couldn't hardly really smell the litchi fruit as stated here...too bad.the sweet scent maybe comes from vanilla.

As a conclusion, CM edt smells expensive, sophisticated n unique..i honestly feel like an educated n professional woman when I put on this perfume..

Amparo Noir

I have no idea who took off the cap cum sprayer of my cmedt. I couldnt put it back. I poured the remaining edt to a plastic bottle spray. It looks a real cheapo, only the liquid inside is cm. This rose-citrus scent is one of my favorite. It is innocent, but drop dead alluring.

CIsabel

When I bought this I was extremely excited about it because I absolutely loved the scent when I tried it at the store. But when I finally got around to wearing it it was the most terrible experience I've ever had with a perfume. My chest turned all red and my skin felt and looked burned, it was horrifying. It took about 3 days for my skin to heal.
I know this is not the most positive review but for people prone to skin problems or just overall have a sensitive skin, I would not recommend this perfume.

nise

I completely adore this scent so much so it is my signature. Whenever I wear it, women in particular ask what I'm wearing and comment on how lovely it smells. Some of them are disappointed when I tell them it is Coco Mademoiselle as they say it does not smell as good on them as on me.

I must confess I am not a big fan of the top notes. There is something in it initially that hits the wrong chord in my nose, something too musky and "poohy" smelling. I've noticed it in other perfumes and men's colognes and am yet to identify it. It's more than likely because I am menopausal and my sense of smell has changed/heightened. Still I'd be interested to know which particular scent it is - the hunt continues.

That stage does not last long thank goodness, and the vanilla settles on my skin so warmly, all day. I'm still sniffing my wrists in the evening and just loving it.

I've read quite a few reviews about how "common" this perfume is. I believe it is a stayer and will be around as a classic firm favourite for decades to come.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, long may we enjoy her journey <3

EDIT: On reviewing, I suspect it is actually one of the middle notes I don't like, possibly Tahitian Vetiver? I'd be interested to know if others have experienced this too. So annoying because I usually love vetiver and other musky aromas.

lesgalaxies

Now that I've gotten my new bottle, and am currently re-obsessed, I thought I'd post a review.

I do feel there's a difference between the edp and edt, namely the fruity aspect. The lichti is most prominent, followed by the citrus and a heavier dose of vanilla. Less patchouli, vetiver and rose to my nose. I normally have trouble wearing fruity scents, but because of how damn fabulous Chanel is, I still feel like myself in this, and not like some teenager.

The citrus doesn't feel sharp to me, not at all. Honestly the edp has much more bite on my skin! Much more bergamot and patchouli, then the sexy vetiver finish in the edp ;)

Overall, I adore both concentrations of Coco Mademoiselle. Ideally the edt is my springtime/summertime signature. Now that I have a new 100 ml bottle, I will spray freely and not feel the need to conserve! Weeeeeee

My boyfriend actually commented on this one, which I was very surprised at, as I've always considered Coco Mad. to be a less likable scent with its woody, sharp edges -- but that seems to be what works best on my skin! YUM

Mooniq

Very fresh. A scent for spring and summertime. I have a problem with citrusnotes - they often turn maleish on my skin, this will never be a favourite on my skin, but its a great scent when other women wears it. Modern and flirty without being to sweet.

MandiPants85

This one is my new favorite and possibly new signature. It smells exactly like the EDP with a few differences. It's not exactly as present as the EDP, but still sweet floral and smells amazing! I wear this for spring/summer and I wear it everyday.

caros76

Worth the splurge. I adore this scent, one of my favourites. Fun, invigorating, sophisticated. It would be my signature scent if I didn't smell it on so many others. If you're looking for a great gift but haven't tried this before, I really don't think you can go wrong.

brettashley

I finally, finally, finally made myself buckle down and get a large 3.4 oz of the EDT last time I was at duty-free. I've been having a 2-year back-and-forth about Coco Mademoiselle - I want it because it reminds me of Disneyland, and Las Vegas, and those places are fun (although maybe not exactly the setting Chanel meant to evoke), and it's perfumey, and I don't actually have very many perfumey perfumes. It's actually quite gorgeous when applied with a light hand, and longevity, even for an EDT, is amazing. But then again, I didn't want it because everyone had it, and I smelled it everywhere (see: Disneyland, Las Vegas - it's most pronounced in big crowds), and sometimes it would give me a headache. So I wrestled for two years with competing desires and sniffed sample vials and thought about it way too much for what it was. (Seriously, it's just perfume. Get a grip.)

Coco Mademoiselle is very much a victim of its own success. It necessarily can't channel the upscale and elite because everybody has it, but it's a very refined and well-done fruitchouli, and as sweet as it is, it definitely has the body to back it up. Right away, I get the litchi and orange and smoooooth patchouli. The lingering floral vanilla (rose and jasmine - the classics of perfumery) as it dries down is great. (Where is the vetiver? I love me some vetiver.) And again, something about this smells like Disneyland in a bottle to me - a well-done, perfectly polished dream, bottled and sold to the masses. This is definitely not my most sophisticated perfume, but it's not something I can put on unthinkingly either - it falls a little in-between, and I like that subliminal space.

I got the EDT because the EDP often wandered much closer to headache territory than I liked. The EDT is a little more citrusy, a little lighter, and a little more fleeting, but I think that's how I like my Coco Mademoiselle - not announcing its presence in a booming voice, but in whiffs and fleeting snatches.

SannaM

I received a sample of this today and tested it right away. It starts with fresh citrus. After an hour or so, it reminds me of CK One :o ... Three hours later I only get a faint trace of an elegant, soapy aftershave (only sprayed it once, though). Maybe its my skin chemistry (many scents appear to turn sour on me), but I find nothing special here.

I think Coco Mademoiselle EDT a safe choice for anyone over 30, but lacks the wow factor.

piggyluv

I picked up a 100 ml unused demo bottle at my local thrift shop for 30.00 Canadian. Lovely, soft bergamot tea scent on me, with just a hint of rose, musk and vanilla to keep it from being too bracing. Reminds me quite a bit of Cerruti 1881. Honestly, I would not pay retail for this scent, as it is a little commonplace but very pretty nonetheless.

the_new_esta

I love this because it's Chanel, and everyone knows it - but if the exact same fragrance was released by a cheaper/non-designer company; I wouldn't give it a second sniff. Same goes for Dior Miss Dior and Miss Dior Cherie.

ecerusen

i like this more than edp version. the accord that i find sexy, is more obvious in this.

as an edt, it does its job perfectly than other perfumes' edt versions. doesnt cloy the other people, and less intense without losing some notes in it.

kaejuntun

I own the EDP - tested it, loved it, bought it, wore it a few times, and found it to be just a little bit too much for me... I think the fragrance is beautiful, but I just couldn't wear it. I tested the EDT and find it to be much more wearable. It has the same spirit as the original, but it is just slightly lighter. That's not to say weaker. As always, the quality of the fragrance is top notch. Coco Mad EDT is a bit fresher, and I think wearable year round.

If anyone wants to swap, I have an almost full bottle of the EDP and would love to trade for the EDT :)

Giezza

This is my first Chanel perfume, I must say I like it but I can't say I love it. It's not because I wasn't completely falling in love with the smell when I first tried it, I was, this one indeed smells wonderful. I think it's because I smelled it too often everywhere, and made me somehow a little bored with it.

I chose the edt because I thought the edp would be too strong and heavy for me, and I guess I made the right choice. The edt is sweet, elegant but also playful.
A bit strong at the beginning, but after a couple of minutes it turn into a soft and warm fragrance.

One thing that I notice from this fragrance (or maybe every chanel perfume), it smells expensive. just like the price

ngmama

Once this dried on my skin I smelled metal. That was weird. I don't hate this, scent, but it is not a favorite. It did not last more than 20 minutes on my skin. Yikes!

LisaMari

Sweet and flirty fragrance. Chocolate, cotton candy and warm citrus.

MilicaaR

Eau de toilette is definitely lighter and sweeter than the Coco Mademoiselle perfume. And I actually like it better because of that. It's less heavy, less woody-patchouli. It's better for everyday use than the original.

ambersuz

My new favorite! I adore younger fruity scents but hate how they don't last long or smell too manufactured/chemically. This is a very classy scent and a good one to graduate to in your 30s as it gives you the fresh fruit smell you love, lasts long, and has many many layers! I can't smell the patchouly on me at all. More of a spicy fresh cold orange. I prefer this way better than the EDP. This EDT is more citrusy, more fresh, while the EDP is more powdery/musky with a more mature dry down.

insolence

To me Mademoiselle edt smells like sex. Not in a dirty animalic way though. It is about lusting after someone, a scent of a body during a foreplay while it starts to smell too sweaty.

Indian summer time is perfect for mademoiselle - it needs a little bit of the sun to show all its complexity...

Overall, a very classy, polished yet youthful scent from the house. Love.

tijgetje

I have worn this one but somehow I could not appreciate this one. Proberbly it's the litchy . because it was the drydown I didn't like. This one smells a little like MD eau the parfum, but that one is better, in my opinion ;-)

grillita

Agree with Fragance, at first sniff it´s soft & elegant fragance but after a while turn out gave me stomach ache. I suggest to try on your skin first.

geur

One the BEST perfumes ever, whether eau de toilette or eau de perfume - so exquisitely yummy - mix of citrus, touch of spice (vanilla) with patchouli. So soft yet strong, lasting silage. I always get asked what I am wearing and I get compliments on this perfume.

It is always good to wear -whatever season you wish. Of course, because of fresh citrus lasting fragrance, it is most ideal in spring and summer.

Just LOVE it.

Caprice

I love wear it in rain. It seems to me completely different in any season, but I love it in cold rainy weather. And I will love it whole my love. It's definitely my fav.

Sweetchocolatecookie

A beautiful fragrance ,elegant, sophisticated, excellent for a confident , feminine young woman is in the top of my favorite fragrances :D

Bella81

I just bought my first bottle of Chanel Mademoiselle and I love it! I tried the EDP and EDT however, the EDP when it dries down it reminds me of an old lady. The EDT I smell patchouli and bergamot as the top notes as it dries down I smell oriental musk but I do not smell the fruit that some are talking about.

renepaulson

I think that Coco Mademoiselle is Coco's Chanel best pefume!!!!!Specially the eau de toillete version!!!!It's different and sexier than the other perfumes frome Chanel's collection!!!Men love it!!!Coco Mademoiselle eau de toillete is on my top 5 list!!!!!

sunnyinphilly

My first connection with Mademoiselle was "Well, I like the smell, but it's not a big deal".
Oh, how I was wrong! I am so glad I gave it a chance, because now I feel like this is my signature. I love Coco Mademoiselle. When I am wearing it I feel like I am at the right place in the right time with the right fragrance :) It suits my shopping, work and wild nights. And it reminds me of Rome. Probably because I re-discovered M there...
Once again I looooooooove it!

I went to the mall determined to try out Chanel M perfume, however they had the edt on display.

I first sprayed it on the paper, and then myself.

On the paper, and my skin, an initial blast of eucalyptus. On my skin it readily mellowed into citusy floral that I can't really distinguish the notes ....walking out the door I could smell a only a light mix of fruity florals. By the time I am in my car, I am pressing my nose to my wrist to get even a hint of scent.
Oh yes, I did put enough on.
I stil have the paper I sprayed it on, and that has more of a fragrance.
Still mixed fruity florals.

It's the kind of fragrance to wear if you don't want too much fragrance. It's a skin fragrance.

Now being it was the edt, I would expect this to be weak, but not as weak as I found it. It diasappear on me in a matter of 20 minutes.

Update: I tried the edp, hoping I would get some kind of surprise. Same notes. Going into a very light vinyl-fruit on my skin. Lasts 40 minutes longer though.

Such a perfect daytime fragrance. I prefer this one to the EDP. For some reason the EDP gives me a headache and is just too much on me, although I love it on others! After a few hours I'm definitely reading the litchi/bourbon vanilla notes on me. This has such wonderful lasting power without being overpowering. I wear this all year round or whenever the mood strikes.

I resisted this one for a long time and wouldn't even try it because I was so wedded to the the original Coco. Her little sister is quite memorable in our own right, I have to admit.

Perfect for daytime and the EDP is perfect for nightime, perfection for my nose! Love at first smell

Like drinking pink lemonade on a hot summer day, that's how refreshing this perfume is for me; so I don't advise wearing it during the winter months as it may leave you feeling cold. This is, however, the perfect perfume to wear during the spring and summer months because it's light, it's citrus-y, and has just enough florals to sweeten the mix. It reminds me of spring and summer vacations as a kid. It's romantic and a little sassy too. I have fun wearing this and fun is something good for any age.

Very feminine perfume. Elegant but yet playful, makes you feel cheeky and classy at the same time. In that way it reminds me of Miss dior cherie edp (the old one), not the smell itself but the way it makes you feel.. I have never been in Paris but for me this perfume associates with it. I have the edp version too, actually i bought it first, but this one is more wearable. The eau de parfum is more mature, sensual and warmer, it has more depth than edt so i use for special occasions or when i want to emphasize my femininty and when i wear appropriate clothes (coctail dress etc.) And edt suits for everywhere everyday wearing and is a mood picker!

Oooh my first review and it's a negative ... sorry folks! But it seemed to me a travesty for a frag to copy another so closely. Whichever came out first, I have no idea, I'd have to look it up.

However, this to me smells exactly like Miss Dior Cherie - a perfume I unwisely bought in all its varied re-formulations before realising it just wasn't 'me'.
I like something softer, more subtle, more complex, more seductive and sweeter, less tangy and jarring.

Coco Mademoiselle - and I am smelling both MDC and Coco side by side - has that exact same sharp, cold, nauseating note which is common to all the Miss Dior's and which just acts as a barrier to any fruity/flowery accords peeping through; and it hangs around until way past dry down stage.

I don't know what it is, but it just STICKS & won't budge.

Coco Mademoiselle EDT had this same vile sharp headache inducing smell, they are absolutely identical.

Never tried Coco before for some reason, but now I have, it's been sadly disappointing and unexpected, knowing how popular (and incredibly expensive) this fragrance is.

I would not try the EDP as the eau de toilette was enought to make me feel headachy and sick within 20 mins.

This is my favorite Chanel fragrance, its a scent you can wear when you want to dress up and feel classy, but also when you want to feel laid back and smell amazing. The EDT version is a lot more versatile than the EDP which was too much for me it did not feel right on my skin.

The EDT has a sweet and citrusy scent to it. I actually have a hard time distinguishing the notes because its blended very well. I pick up the musk in it, but I do not smell any vanilla. I assume that the jasmine is helping with the sweetness of the fragrance and combining with litchi and vanilla. The dry down is definitely woody which is one of my favorite parts of this fragrance.

Lasting power on my skin is 10-12+. Sometimes even after a shower I still smell this lingering on my skin. Which is impressive for an EDT.

Overall this a fragrance that I fell in love with easily. <3

One more thing- this is the best on the skin. The warmth helps it to "wake up" and show all the notes.
On my scarf it smells just really good.
On my skin it smells divine. Gorgeous!

Young and already spoiled :)
I see a young woman with naughty sparkling eyes and her hair in the wind.
I usually don't like patchouli, but here it's balanced with citruses an flowers beautifully. I discovered it as something new. By the way, it is noted that patchouli is a base note. Well, no- I feel it from the beginning till the end. But end... I don't think about it because the lasting power is absolutely incredible. The design of the bottle reflects well this scent- simple but from every edge you see ( smell) something different. Light going through the bottle plays with it and creates the image of this young lady.
This one is amazing- deep, sensual, woody/ earthy notes like sparkling diamonds- Coco Mademoiselle's eyes.
It's elegant and sophisticated. Wakes up the body to love...

Loove it on Women :D

I used to have this version (the EDT) and then my mother bought the EDP.
Later on when I ran out of the EDT I decided to buy the soap and body lotion. Every now and then I would steal some EDP from my mother but it didn't feel the same. It felt less "joyful" and young. Years later I realize there are slight differences in the formulas. The EDT is fruitier and less heavy. This is the reason I loved it. I feel as if the EDT is the younger, day time version of Coco Mademoiselle. The EDP is spicier and sexier as if it were intended to adorn classy ladies in night time affairs and elegant settings.

Either way you will always smell classy, lavish and french in a Chanel fragrance. I don't know what it is about this house in particular but once you wear it you will never be the same without it.

Someone mentioned burnt hair - brilliant description! I'd say more particularly greasy hair that's been blasted with vanilla scented hairspray then drenched in fruity smelling dry shampoo. With patchouli it depends how it's handled in perfume and maybe that's what's giving off the greasy hair/wet socks on the radiator vibe. Anyway, why would anyone want to wear what every other person is wearing? It really has staying power and perhaps my obvious dislike is that an ex boyfriend's car smelled of this from his previous girlfriend, or perhaps she wasn't so previous. Hmm.

This is one of my favorites. Elegant, feminine, unique. Every time I wear it I feel like a powerful woman, ready to take over the world!
It's intense but not overpowering. And lasts A LOT. I guess this is my favorite thing about it. Love it.

my mom always wore the toilette of coco mademoiselle. my mom and i rather this one over the purfume/parfum. i find the toilette to be fresher and it lasts allllll day long. love it.

For ladies 25+ in my opinion. Fantastic scent, very sophisticated and elegant.

just bought a bottle after weeks of testing, it begins sharp at first but the dry down is amazing, smooth, creamy and sexy. it has good lasting power. to me this smell just lighter and creamier than flowerbomb. flowerbomb is much sweeter tho. plus both contain similar notes.
