Really wanted to love this but it smelled like a hand soap with added sugar and melting plastic. It was cloying on my skin and actually gave me a headache. Really disappointed because everyones reviews made it sound so fresh and lovely. Gifted it to a friend! Out of all the flankers I have of this, this is definitely the worst. If you want a sweeter and yet fresh flanker from this line go try the Pear Blossom!

oddsoy

crisp and fresh tea, fig leaf, and citron. thought this might be similar to indigo by nest, boy was i wrong. indigo is so much more creamy and jammy, while green tea fig is light and energizing. i might have a bias because i was so disappointed at first sniff, but this is genuinely a nice, inexpensive freshy for spring. i picture eating a sweet fig under the tree where you found it on a cool summer day.

CurlGurl

FINALLY got my nose on this one. I adore Philosykos by Diptyque and wanted a much more affordable option. I don't think Elizabeth Arden makes Green Tea Fig anymore. It's been disappearing for about a year now, but I found my 100ml bottle on Mercari for $12. This is beautiful. Absolutely stands up to Diptyque. Everything I had hoped for except it's a bit masculine leaning. My bottle was a NIB but vintage, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it? I'm pretty sure the sage is what's making this masculine to my nose, but it certainly doesn't ruin it for me. Just Gorgeous. Come Spring I'm going to waft myself in this glory!

arizonaruby

Fig is one of my favourite notes but this just didn’t work for me. I think the best fig fragrances lean one of two ways - either rich, green and woody; or fresh, beachy and clean. This is neither. I think they were trying to go for something quite green and aromatic but what I actually get is this unpleasant, sour unripe vegetal note. It’s not really something I would like to smell like. I also don’t smell any tea - if I smelled this blind, I’d have no idea it’s part of the Green Tea line.

wooodnymph

I wanted to like it because I kind of like the Elizabeth Arden line but I just can't. To me it just smells like grass, like when you use a lawnmower and dump out all of the grass clippings or something. I don't get any fig or tea notes.

I guess if you have a sweet floral perfume and want to even it out with some greener notes you could, but I'm sure there are better options.

velvetdoe

somehow the most realistic, and also cheapest, fig fragrance i’ve been able to find. slightly underripe fig with aromatic tea and citrus. amazing.

scatteredshowers

The green tea is so strong for me, and that clary sage note lasts the longest, all the way through the dry down. Wonderful green, unripe fig still on the tree, with a slight hint of stickiness on the peel and fragrant even from a foot away. Not quite sour or tart, just fresh, a little watery, lightly sweet. Great for warm weather. I like to layer it with B&BW Orange Ginger, it gives the scent a health-conscious, locally sourced mocktail kind of vibe.

Marlinte

Not really a green scent. I miss the crispyness.
It is a really light sweet scent, more a bodymist to me.
Not bad, but I smell a little coconut like sweet scent what is not my cup of tea ( no pun intended )
Oh well, for the price I will wear it this summer, as a bodymist.
Will not buy again.

Edit: we were in a farmhouse in France during this summer. There were figtrees all over our garden, and when the owner cut some of these trees, the whole garden smelled EXACTLY like this perfume!
So…… a new lovely memory is now unlocked! 🤩

qwertygluip

at first it was very sour on my skin. however, after 15 minutes it transformed into a lovely fig scent. its the smell right after you open an unripe fig. not much sweetness, just freshness and greenness. value for the price is great (i paid around 10 USD for a 50 ml bottle). just lovely!

Erika.Lane

Oh boy..bitter, sharp, unripe fig in the opening. It was like blending up a hard green fig, green tea leaves, and the green inside of a stick. The opening was not something I liked at all. The drydown is a 7/10 though. It turns into a sweeter, light fig tea scent. The tamarind adds a nice touch. =) I'm glad I could get over the dry down.

zolusca

I have this perfume for two years and it really grew on me. For this price, it is excellent and rather unique. In the beginning, I can sense the green/woody of the fig leaf and the fresh of the citruses (but these are more subtle). After aprox 5 minutes, the woody is gone and I am left with the fig and a slight trace of green tea. I can't feel the pistachio at all. The perfume remains in this way for a few hours (2-3), and in the end the clean musk is the last to be felt.
Overall, very nice, not complicated perfume that gives me that "something" that I look for in a multitude of sweet and fruity perfumes.
For those who care about what ingredients are used in the formulation, I need to mention that this has 2 endocrine disruptors (ingredients rating: 0,7/20). As much as I love this scent, I try not to spray very often, and only on clothes, for this reason.

Woolly Israelita

I wasn't expecting this at all. When I first sprayed it I felt as if someone boom'd me with a big unripened fig *ouch* lmao it's soo green!! It would be the perfect fragrance to wear on a hike, camping, an outdoor active event of some sort in the spring or summer. It has a cologne-y type of vibe that makes it unisex in my opinion. I always layer my fragrances so I bought it initially to pair w B&BW Brown sugar and fig, BUT it didn't blend together. I ended up using Pink Lily and Bamboo and what a doozy! Perfect match strong projection and it lasts all day. I had to mentally adjust to enjoy this, coming from winter complex sweet vanillic fragrances. Green tea fig is herbal, earthy, and fresh.

Neverapeoplepleaser

I was dubious about this one...but picked it up for practically pennies. I wasn't disappointed....wonderful green, fruity, fresh fig. Couldn't pick up much tea. But that doesn't matter to me. Really get the ivy and the fig. I think I can get some creaminess from the pistachioon the dry down, but this isn't creamy really at all.
This easily rivals some figs that are 8 times the price. Also a wonderful fig fragrance if you're looking to start exploring that note. Wish they would update the bottles as they are quite ugly tbh 🙈 but for £10, a great great underated fragrance. Also quite surprised at longevity and performance. Would definitely buy again!

Talia

Today in a bank there was a boy teenager with a cloud of this around him. And it suited him quite well :))

Madyana

This, what a complete stranger in the perfume world... If you imagined you would get a light, sugar sweet, floral, saucy feminine, general understated fruit scent, then no. But if you looking for an honest fig and mayby you are even ready to go and pay the price of niche scents to get what you want, then don't go fishing any further than the sea! Try this one first. Good durability and multipurpose layerable with all sweet scents, gives the fruit that "Erba Pura" vibe, I think. I'm afraid this will be discontinued.

MimiMarie

So, I wanted to like this perfume but I hated it. On my skin, it smelled like rancid tea and I had to scrub it off immediately because it was making me nauseated.

Linda JK

Arden's Green Tea Fig was a blind buy-- it's an interesting scent and unlike any of the Arden flankers I own/owned.

The scent opens with the fig, tea leaves, and bergamot notes. I don't quite pick out the green tea note as is the case with her other flankers.

I don't see myself using this frag during the summer months. The clary sage/fig/green tea/bergamot combination may come off a little screechy due to the heat.

Sillage is moderate but longevity is weak. It sits really close to the skin after an hour. For better performance, it's best to spray it on your top as well.

I like this fragrance but don't see myself purchasing it again when I'm done, as there are others I like far better in the green tea line.

Sombra

I like pairing this one with the original Green Tea, it creates such a nice clean, green, fruity combination.
In fact, I feel more of a green accord instead of the fruity one. Could be worn anywhere during daytime, but I prefer wearing it in the office since sweet/vanilla fragrances I have in my collection don’t suit my mood at work. But this combination of 2 “green teas» do it well and are quiet inoffensive to the office atmosphere.
But this can be worn to go spend time among spring or autumn nature as well, or to enjoy some long walks outdoor.

mhubbard1961

I really like. Blind buy gem. It will layer well with Wood Sage or Not a perfume. Or Womanity. To me it is a fall scent. Perfect day time wear and it lasts fairly well for an inexpensive fragrance

jomxlohx

This is lovely, fresh yet cozy. Smells like a ripe mouth-watering fig (as opposed to a milky green fig fragrance like Philosykos which I also have), which also has a hint of lush blackberries to my nose anyway. I’m surprised by how wonderful this is and how lucky that I was able to get a 100ml bottle for such a low price online. The days might be colder, but I’ve been strangely leaning towards clean and simple fragrances lately. This one will be worn a lot this season.

medusaodalisque

burned through a 50ml, this was my every day/running errands/casual scent. about 50% of the time it would smell exactly like regular green tea edt, and the other 50% i would get the fig, and it would smell like a fresh figgy fruitcake! very poor lasting power so i'd reapply multiple times throughout the day, but i enjoyed regardless

viktorijavla

Really nice, fresh, fig perfume for summer.

kiaoi

I got this today and I am in love! Autumn days are starting and this reminds me of wet yellow, orange and red leaves, like walking in a forest of deciduous trees. Interesting that this is often seen as a Summer scent. To me, this is a warm, soft scent that reminds me a lot of Un Jardin Sur La Lagune of Hermès, a round, soothing, powdery scent. I definitively feel the pistachio and the clary sage in the dry down, it feels like the natural essential oil. I tried the yuzu version before but I like this one better, this version will definitely stay in my collection!

juliausa

If you LIKE GTF, you HAVE to try layering it with Angel Eau Croisière 2020 (Mugler) - they go perfectly together. Green Tea Fig adds fresh green notes to Angel’s jammy fig….and Angel of course adds complexity and just enough sweetness to create irresistible combination.

Fig sent lovers paradise - in my humble opinion. :)

imperfect-angel

The opening is exactly the same as Philosykos then the fresh greeny fig leaf step back into the background and the original green tea come out into spotlight. While the Philosykos is a creamy milky fig (that I adore) this one is more of a fresh greeny fig. It’s not the same but it’s one of a very good fig perfume, and a very affordable one too.

heartaura

I got a bottle because somebody told me it smells like Philosykos which is a scent I really love and since I'm familiar with how it smells I wanted to give this one a try to see how the 2 compares. I also love the original Green Tea so I had a lot of faith in this fragrance and I have to say I wasn't disappointed as far as the quality of this scent goes.
Does it smell like exactly like Philosykos? Absolutely not, this one is more citrusy and sweet and Philosykos is more woody and green.
Are they at least similar? Yes, especially the opening, after about 30 mins not so much.
This is more like the amalgamation of the 2 scents mentioned earlier, so like a green figgy green tea lemonade that's the right blend of bitter and sweet with lots of citrus. I personally love this one and for the price you'd too if you like Philosykos and/or Green Tea. I even got compliments when I wore this. The only backside is the longevity but if you spray some on your clothes as well it's not a problem anymore, it definitely lasts a few hours longer that way.

Amethystery

Something about this scent feels very grounding. It's not sharp nor heavy but not boring either. It has a "roundness" to it that reminds me of walking into a humid greenhouse on a hot summer day, where everything around you is ready for harvest.

Basil is not a listed ingredient but this composition is so herbal that it's almost like sniffing a basil plant. I sense grinded sage and ivy very clearly here (both are notes I usually have a hard time detecting). For some reason the warmth of my skin almost makes the fig note smell cooked which put me off at first, but along with the pistachio, zesty citruses and green herbs, this becomes a very well-rounded fragrance. Nothing about it smells synthetic.

To be honest I really didn't like this at first. It's fresh in a way I'm not used to and very different from what I thought it would be, but as I expected this has been growing on me. My usual go-to fragrance (Amethyst by Lalique) is a little cloying to my nose in the summer heat, and I think this is going to be my summer substitute. I really do enjoy smelling like a sweet and humid herb garden now and then and Green Tea Fig by Elizabeth Arden made that possible <3

LinnieR

This is my to go to perfume on a hot, humid summer day - those days when I just want to grab something and know it will work. Be careful tho, it's easy to overspray if you're used to "dainty summer scents". The sillage and longevity is great, especially for the price. I really appreciate that it's not only "green and fresh" but has a creamy, woody base. It smells like figs in a combination of fresh and dry leaves which is so pretty and feels a bit unisex to me. I would however, stay away from it if you don't like sage because I'm picking up that one quite strongly.

redberrykitty

This is perfect for hot, humid days! I mostly get the tea, fig, fig leaf, and a bit of citrus. Now that I remember that it has tamarind in it, I can detect it when I smell this. It makes everything sweeter and slightly tangy. The fig is very fresh and not very sweet. It's a good mild green fragrance. Very refreshing.

I was really excited to get this for Christmas 2 years ago because I thought it would be sweeter. My only experience with fig is by way of Brown Sugar & Fig from Bath & Body Works, which I love! But because of that, I expected this to be a sweeter flanker. I also expected it to be fruitier, but it is sadly not. I still like it though!

Ryn08

I love it though.. Very mild, green, ozonic, woody scent.. Great for days where i want to go light and yet i want to smell something from an after shower.

ArsinoeHelena

One of my all time favourites. Works wonders especially in extremely hot weather. Refreshing, cooling, relaxing. I picked this one from the cheapest EA GT flankers because I like fig. It smells like juicy, ripe fig fruit, the leaves and bark. I also get lemon, clementine, musk. Not much green tea which is just fine. Longevity up to 8 hours if I spray generously, sillage more than moderate. Excellent value for money.

jeannebelmondo

I'm genuinely impressed! This is such a milky, creamy, coconutty ripe fig. One of the best flankers in the Green Tea range, because not only does it actually have prominent notes of green tea and fig, but it goes in a different enough direction from the original to not just be a boring Green Tea flanker with an extra note or two.

Like the original, there's a slightly bitter, herbal and aromatic quality to it that makes it perfectly unisex, but compared to the original, this is more creamy, milky, ripe and juicy, with less of an emphasis on white florals and more of an emphasis on woods and rich, tropical fruits.

While it doesn't share the timeless and eternal feeling of the original, it is well made, smells more expensive than its budget price, and is truly a realistic fig with realistic green tea leaves. For under $15 for a 100mL with free shipping, I can't recommend enough for the fig lover on a budget! It might not be super avant-garde, but it's a very likeable and well-made composition and it's different enough from the original to not be another half-hearted flanker that's largely interchangeable with the original.

Lasts about 4 hours on me, which is on par with the original.

★★★☆☆

lilcashley

I really love this perfume, and even more because of the price. i understand how it is off putting to some people because the initial spray is quite strong and in your face, but once it starts drying down it’s beautiful and green fruity and fresh. i recommend it to everyone.
the one thing i will say is that i got the largest bottle i could buy and i haven’t made it halfway (i spray it very liberally) and the smell has gone off. even the color has changed. i live in a warm humid climate, so that is most definitely playing a part. still would repurchase over and over. the price can’t be beat.

antfarm

I bought this because I love fig perfumes and it was a good price. Nothing can compete with Diptque Philosykos in terms of fig perfumes, but I did notice a slight similarity when I sniffed the nozzle of this one. Oh boy, did that change once I sprayed it on. The citron and sage overtake the fig, and pretty much every other note in this perfume. At first it's a nicely balanced, slightly sweet fig and artificially sweetened green tea smell. Then the fig is gone and it's just the sweetened green tea smell (like the artificial "green tea" flavored powder, not actual green tea or matcha). In the final stages it smells like bug spray that has been washed off with soap. Acrid, powdery, and green. It does last a long time--at least four hours on me. Unfortunately it is just not a perfume I like.

tonkatsu335

It is green, bittersweet, and slightly nutty.
It smells a little like sunscreen, so I guess it's not to everyone's liking, but it is a nostalgic scent that reminds me of beautiful summer resort.

I didn't have this kind of scent in my perfume collection and it is new to me.
It is very inexpensive, but it does not smell cheap.

skyneverfall

Fig to me is smell like dirt and dry leave in autumn. I didn't expect that this perfume would project really well. It smells like fig, dirt and leave with a really light hint of sweetness in the dry down and I guess that is tonka bean. I don't like the opening because it smells a bit too masculine but after about 15 mins it settle into some pretty outdoorsy sweet scent. I own Lotus, pomegranate and fig. This one is the strongest one of all. You won't be disappointed if you afraid this will disappear in 10 minute. All EA green tea are meant to be used for something casual and easy going. You smell it but other don't. If that what you are looking for then EA green tea is for you.

Skinscents4Fusspots

Love EA Green Tea. It's super wearable and clean. I got this fig flanker and the pomegranate flanker and I'm into the latter but not this one. It doesn't smell clean - makes sense as figs are a bit musty and muddy along with being sweet, and I prefer a more tangy fruitiness personally! It's okay but not really my jam!

femboyslayer69

this perfume is one of many blind buys for me, and i wasn’t expecting much for how much i paid (2,50) but i’m surprised by how good this smells!

the opening notes smell so good to me, very fruity and very fig-like (duh). after 10 minutes, it starts to smell like kind of spicy?? and after that it circulates between kiiiind of spicy pepper and that fruity fig scent. but the smell is pretty nice!

lasts about an hour or 3, kinda sad but the bottle is so small (and cute i love the packaging) you can just slip this in your bag or pocket to take it with you. its pretty gender neutral as well!

as i said i got it for 2 bucks 50 on sale and for that price its definitely worth my money. i would probably also pay full price for it tho, this kinda slaps. considering buying the other green tea scents too!!

mariyana.b

Way too many notes, which stay in the way of the fig and the tea. It feels like unwrapping a package, you keep unwrapping but never get to see what's inside... and then you give up! On my skin only citruses, minty lavender and tonka. Sometimes i feel like I'm smelling the fig, but i think it is just an imagination... because i know it supposed to be there and i want it to be there so bad! The fragrance is strong and powerful, longevity is great. Unisex in my opinion.
I will give it another try in the summer!

nanolex

Very interesting fragrance and quite different from all the rest in my collection. I'm really into tea fragrances but I'm not so sure about this one, there's some woody-sweetness that started making me sick after few wears. I can smell the original Green Tea in it but the fig note is setting the vibe strong here. The longevity and sillage are very decent at it's price point, I can actually smell this one on myself most of the day.

marinejuana

I had great expectaitions about this scent due to the positive reviews but to be honest, I pretty much disliked it :((((( There is not much to say about if something is not in your like list, but this scent is not good at all... try first before you buy. Although it is not expensive, I regret blind buying ... :((((

Klio

Fig in sour milk...just smelling it is nauseating to me.

SmellsLikeMoneyWellSpent

So many notes, yet on me it’s just a sour fig with green water. I honestly can’t wear it at all, although I like the opening. Performance of body mist.

Siv7Stars

I don't get a lot of the original DNA from this one n it's not as sweet overall. It's very fresh n green, natural smelling, the fig becomes a bit coconutty on me at first, settles down into a herbal tea fig. Very fleeting on me, but I have v dry skin.

raiza1990

This is an interesting fragrance! It’s fresh and warm, and more sensual than the others from this line. It has just enough sweetness and has a nice exotic fruity touch.
I am positively surprised. It’s a pleasant, unisex scent for all seasons.
Thumbs up!

clairesque

This is exactly what I was hoping it would be based on the name. There is a burst of citrus at the top but it quickly fades down. You can immediately get the fresh tea scent and the sweet, juicy fig. This is a striking fragrance that blends creaminess and the green freshness very well. Throughout the drydown, the sharp green tea fades slightly so that the fig really shines through. I can swear I smell a hint of vanilla in this, maybe I'm picking up the tonka. I love violet and I think it adds a nice feminine touch to this scent. Amazing for daytime wear in the spring and summer. Wish it lasted longer but can't complain for how cheap it is.

talkaboutscents

Great value for money! This is a really nice crushed fig leaves + lactonic fig fruit accord herbalized with green tea note. I don't get much of the other notes except coumarin in the drydown.

What striked me the most - and hence writing this review - is the longevity. I smelled my arm after 24 hours and the scent is really there, easily noticeable, I mean 24 hours even as a skin scent is just amazing. What is more surprising is that the scent doesn't smell of the drydown musks and coumarin only, no, the scent profile of the overall wear is protected. So you can still say this is a green, fresh, fig scent after 24 hours. I never paid much attention until this day over a year I had this cologne. And really, this is a fragrance for the humid, hot summer days. I imagine that heat, humidity, a little sweating will generate more projection of this fragrances at a cost of perhaps less longevity but, it is really promising.

This stands out from the Green Tea collection. The fig is really unmistakable in this. It's milky and green, juicy, subtly sweet, a bit like coconut, on the warmer side of fruity notes, but also fresh. Some figs are too grassy-green and sharp for my taste, but this is nicely balanced. This might be due to the supporting notes of tonka and pistachio, which don't stand out but give the fig a sweet backdrop, like it was sprinkled with a small dash of brown sugar.
The Green Tea signature is there, but it's much more subtle than in most fragrances from this line and only comes out in the drydown. In my opinion neither this, nor the original smell like a real cup of green tea. Arden's version is more of a very clean, fresh citrussy floral accord with a hint of tea. In GT Fig it makes the fragrance a little fresher and keeps it from turning too warm for a summer fragrance. For my personal taste it comes across as a bit too harsh in this case, which is the reason why this is a like and not a love for me.

I think this is a great option if you're looking for a fig 'soliflore' on a budget. Many niche houses have fig fragrances in their lineup and in my opinion GT Fig can keep up with them and is also just as unisex. It's not exactly everlasting, but on my skin it performs better than the other Green Teas I have tried. Like all of them it's refreshing, affordable and comes in a practical big bottle, so it can be resprayed anytime.
I have to say that I like the bottles of this and the other newer green tea flankers, especially when several of them stand next to each other. The designers at EA sure made the best out of that plain shape and plastic cap.

xoxoMyke

On an impulse, I purchased EA Fig, Bamboo, and Cucumber. The EA Fig took me by complete surprise. I sprayed it on my wrist two times... and I was greeted with the freshest, greenest and slight sweet fragrance in a long time. Something natural smelling and amicable. It made me smile and I proceeded to give myself 5 or 6 more sprays all over my body. The vivid green fig accord lasts a good while and dries down to a fresh, sweet, and slightly warm fragrance. This is just a wonderful pick-me-up that I spray when I'm wanting to smell wonderful and natural, but not "distinct" like a designer fragrance.

bel.gravia

A very well blended, harmonious and lovely perfume. Its light and is intended to be refreshing, used for aromatherapy. It is a unique fresh woody sweet scents, there are few as affordable fig scents. Green yet sweet, the bottle is lovely.

valevaleria

The name itself is the best desctiption for this one.

jsb41

Totally agree with SeauxGood’s review. Smells just like fig+green tea. The fig adds some creaminess to the green tea’s bite. Initial spray is sharp and loud. Just wait though, it gets much better. Having said that, I occasionally feel a little nauseated by this scent but not always. Just a weird little thing with this one. After the scent fades, I still get wafts of green tea. This is an unusual scent that’s growing on me. It won’t be a daily one which is too bad because it’s dirt cheap. Nice for spring.

Dort0625

I made a wonderful friend on here who introduced me to a website to buy fragrances from with incredible prices (it’s a Canadian site not sure if they ship to US or other countries but check them out because if they do damn there prices are so good Lisa’s pop shop) anywho, this is very much a EA Green Tea member, it’s got the vibe down and I always get excited to see how they will smell and this doesn’t disappoint! I do find it has a very earthy smell, as most of them so but this more one a bit more so, as that part fades I do find I can still smell it. But as per Green Tea usual-it’s beautiful! I’ve yet to find one of the line that I don’t like, they are always so nice. I would never spend a fortune on them because they certainly aren’t super long wearing-you do need touch ups throughout the day and evening if you did want to keep this as your daily fragrance. I can smell the fig-I think lol -or something I think is fig. Ohhh I love it-another successful launch by Arden Green Tea perfume line!!!

Gwaredd

I like tea, I like fig. This doesn't smell like either. It smells like peach skin, or weak watery peach without the sweetness.

It's not particularly nice to my nose.

Lalaith

Finally bought it for riddiculous prize... And I'm so glad I did it! It remins me slightly of L'Eau Parfumée au Thé Rouge, now sadly discontinoued... Combination of fig + tea + figue leave + nut note (pistachio for Arden and walnut for Bvlgari) is similar. I don't get too much green tea in this one, I wouldn't recognize it as Arden GT flanker...
I get creamy, and milky fresh figues, at the beginning with bergamot/citrus note and fig leave and undertone of green tea. But all the green notes simply disappear and here comes the milky figue with nutts undertones on slightly musky base. I love it and I could bathe in it. Fresh but not too much, it's not harsh, more well rounded and balanced. I'm glad I get similar notes as in my favourite Bvlgari Thé Rouge, one of my favourite perfumes I've ever had, used to be my autumn signature. This one is a bit simpler, lacks some depth and spiciness, but the main feeling is deffinitely there for me.

SeauxGood

In my opinion, this smells exactly like the name. Green tea and fig. Not just the fig fruit, but also the greenness of a fig tree. This is very herbaceous, almost bordering on floral. It opens with a sharpness from the citrus notes, then mellows as it dries down. It’s the kind of scent I imagine a professional botanist smells like when they get off of work.

It’s fruity, but in a fresh-cut kind of way, so I don’t think it leans masculine or feminine. The vanilla and tonka bean are very faint, so it’s not particularly sweet. While others feel like the fig note is overwhelming, I found quite the opposite to be true and was almost overwhelmed by the intensity of the tea notes. It seems to me it would probably appeal more to people who like green tea scents than those who are fans of fig. Still nice choice for an effortless Spring/Summer day.

I am conflicted about this one. On the one hand, it's a lovely smell, the fig note is really strong, reminding me of the time when I was a tomboyish girl who loves to climb the fig tree at my uncle's house, eating ripe figs right on the tree branch (although the figs here are from gular figs). Happy memories from a long lost time, the tree was cut down to be replaced with concrete.

On the other hand, it does really smell fruity. If I didn't have that lovely childhood memory, would I still like this perfume? Probably not. If the fig is replaced with any other fruits, say, pineapple, the intensity of the fruitiness would really put me off.

But this one does smell feel very delicious. I don't even like eating figs that much as an adult. But I have a thing for inoffensive smell, and I don't want to disturb others with my fragrance. When I wear this, I somehow have a feeling at the back of my neck that someone will get a headache from the fruitiness. Luckily it doesn't last that long, which is kinda a blessing in disguise.

JustSimpleThings

This is definitely a very 'figgy' perfume!

Unfortunately just like with Green Tea Pomegranate, I find the sweetness plus original green tea DNA nauseating when it comes together :(( it overwhelmed me.
I don't think this is a bad fragrance by any means - it's really strong, projects well and is good quality imo! Great lasting power as well, 6 hours plus easily.

Perhaps just 'try before you buy' and keep in mind if you are easily nauseated by sweet/fruity scents, avoid this one.

The fig flanker is quite departed from the original Green Tea, yet still it is beautiful. Very green and very aromatic, and the lack of florals makes it totally unisex.

Opening is extra green and leafy, then it gets slightly more grounded and aromatic within two to three hours.
I get loads of violet leaf and fig leaf, both almost equally strong - green and fresh, watery yet aromatic, bitter meets sour, giving men's cologne vibes. Inspecting closer I get some dry and non-floral citrus aromatics, ivy, some, just some, tea, and a very interesting angle of pistachio (I myself find it more in perfumery among sweet and/or floral gourmands, which brings out other nuances of it, so this is pretty exciting). That all comes together and is emphasized by contrast of milky and soft fig fruit more around the time when drydown comes.
There is some sage in the drydown and some smoky, woody kind of tonka bean with that distinctive dryness it sometimes has, but this nuanced drydown I can achieve only if I go a bit heavy on spraying.

Being fresh, but not necessarily refreshing, Green Tea Fig would suit summer days and mild autumn weather equally. Moderate sillage and staying power up to six hours, and for some six more it performs as green and milky skin scent.

I love all flankers of Green Tea, but this is one of my favorites. Most of them keep the Green Tea DNA quite strong but you can still tell them apart.
I do not agree the fig fruit is the most noticeable here despite the votes, I think it is more the fig leaves which makes this thing much more green than fruity.
It also reminds me of Green Tea Bamboo I used when I lived in SE Asia, so my mind might be corrupted due to the memories.

For me this is typically a comforting, calming zen fragrance you wear to please yourself

Mostly suitable for fall or spring when Nature itself is more alive

bodnerrachel

It's a little too bitter, cloying, and shrill. I think it would have been better concocted with a more natural scent by L'Occident en Provence.

kesteny

I blind bought this as a low price low risk gamble and BOY did it exceed my expectations.

I don't have any of the green tea perfumes, but have smelled a few and this is BY FAR my absolute favourite.

As soon as a spray this I am transported to the fig tree in my childhood home-fragrant and heavy with ripe fruits. The opening is so fig-gy and sweet and juicy that you can almost taste the ripeness of the fruit. Yes, it does then morph into the more familiar green tea DNA, but the fig is still present!

Top tip: If you feel adventurous and want to trust a stranger on the internet- try layering this with something like Philosophy Fresh Cream (I use Fresh Cream Suede) and thank me later for all the complements you will get.

Eternity Girl

Im delighted with Green Tea Fig. Its very very fresh and bright with a sweet but peppery tang. I have no previous experience with the fig note in a scent even though black figs are a favourite fruit I have enjoyed.
Green Tea Fig is uplifting with a graceful sense of peace. I experience anxiety and this is like an oxygen mask for me.
I feel fortunate to have found GTF plus its also sooo affordable.
On my skin its extremely bright, clear, fresh, deep, natural, green, juicy, sweet plus airy and watery at the same time

Edit PS :- I have taken to also spraying it around as a room/house scent. Its so incredibly clean fresh and uplifting I can't get enough of it. So I spray myself and my house and feel so peaceful and enveloped in tranquility.

SalinasL

My favourite of the Green Tea line. When I first got it, it smelled pretty much the same as all the others I tried—which is to say it smelled basically like the original. But by a stroke of luck (or genius?) I decided to layer it with FCUK Friction which I usually find too sweet and one dimensional. The result is heavenly. GTF freshens up Friction, and Friction brings out this sweet sticky fig from Green Tea. Seems like I just needed help finding that fig, because now I really enjoy it on its own as well. Sweet, green, figgy goodness.

MissyJ

Unfortunately this makes me feel queezy. It's a bit of a mess of a fragrance. Not a fan, will hold on until the top heat of summer to give it a chance but might end up giving it away.

tessiebee

This ended up making me feel queasy after a while. Its too bitter for me to handle on skin, the green tea and leaves just overwhelm everything else.

meliecat

A friend tested it on herself. I can't see much similarity with Roger&Gallet's Fleur de figuier.. That one is sweet, juicy and light. This here is green, fuzzy, a bit fruity, a bit tea-ish. Not my cup of tea. It could be a good summer perfume though for someone who likes green..

sorelena1

Gosh, this grew on me this summer! I would have never thought that such a cheap perfume can be so nice in summer. I must say that I love fig ( leaves especially) in perfumes... Philosykos from Diptyque is the best fig scent...but it's quite expensive.
This one, it keeps you son fresh smelling the entire day. It lasts long , it's quite realistic in it's representation of green tea and green leaves... Has also a bit of sweetness but not too much. If you're living in a hit climate, you will love it

[email protected]

Honestly, I really did not have high expectations but this scent blew me away it smells HIGH END!!! and this will be one of my Staples. I did not think I would like fig on me this is a Grown Woman scent...its a Yes for me all day long..

lemonblue

I think I expected this to smell like a combination of the best fig experiences I've had: scent of fig leaf plus the taste of a ripe sweet caramel like sugary fig. And layered with that, green tea. However, this is very sour on me. So so so very sour and tart and sharp and strong, almost overbearing. I'm comparing it to two other more mellow fragrances, one of which is the spiced green tea flanker which I'm thoroughly enjoying, so I'll try to edit my review once I've taken a day with this on it's own.
so far, in this first 1 hr prelude, it smells like lime beer salt on me. Sour and sharp, mixed with tart green tea, almost gone bad. I hope I like it on another day. I like the camellia flanker and tropical I think it was. This was a blind buy; I'll give it some more time...

Nina.84

A complete fig. Juicy and ripe flesh and slightly milky and acidic leaves. Soft and refreshing at the same time. Not the usual sugary and fake fig ... it really tastes like real fruit. It makes me go back to childhood ... the figs eaten directly from the tree at sunset, and on the hands that smell remained which was a mixture of everything: fruit, resin, peel and freedom.
It can be sprayed generously without ever being aggressive. It stays close to the skin and lasts a long time ... I feel it on me until the evening. Reapplying it, however, is a pleasure, especially in this heat.
Yet I am sure that even in early autumn it will give me great satisfaction!

sorelena1

I forgot to mention that if sprayed on clothes the green tea note lasts until next day. P.S. usually I spray my perfumes on my clothes for a longer performance.

sorelena1

Such a lovely and perfect hot summer scent. I was never a big fan of Arden's tea collection ( too light for me), but I've learned to see how such a light type of scent can be of help during the hot days.

Green Tea Fig is first of all a green fresh revitalizing scent. I love the scent of fig, not so much the fruit bit more the entire tree (leaves, wood and fruit). Philosykos from Diptyque is the best interpretation of a fig tree and fruit.
The green tea note is still very much present from start to finish which manages to boost even more the greenness of the perfume. I must say, that in my opinion it is better than the original Green Tea.

Green Tea Fig comes close to Philosykos in it's representation of the greenness of this magical tree.It is as very unisex scent that makes you feel joyful, refreshed and grounded.
Don't expect monstrous sillage or a whole day of performance, but be sure that in heat this perfume "blossoms" and envelopes you in a cloud of freshness. The price is very nice (between 8 and 30 euros for 100 ml, depending where you buy it).

For what it is (a cheap (in price)cologne type of scent) it is done with a lot of attention to the details. It performs and smells at its best much better in the heat.
I was totally surprised by it.

gmr1967

Maison with classic perfumes and which every summer offers a different variant of the very classic Green Tea. This 2018 dedicates the perfume to the fragrance of the fig which makes it fresh, par excellence, very sweet and flowery. Pleasant to wear, non-invasive but long lasting. A perfume for everyone, for every occasion. Simply adorable!

Fig and Tea are my two favorite notes/accords in fragrances so this was an automatic blind buy. Sigh. Somehow, I found it disappointing.

This is one of 6 EA Green Teas and one of 16 Fig frags that I currently have and Green Tea Fig would be near the bottom of both lists.

I can smell the Green Tea and I can smell the Fig and too much of the Fig Leaf and it has little of the characteristics that I love: the fresh soapiness of EA Green Tea and the sweet milkiness of the fig. Instead, the combination in this frag comes across as murky.

BTW, for a FYI, my favorite EA Green Teas are the original and Green Tea Honeysuckle. My favorite Fig frag is the discontinued Henri Bendel Wild Fig.

As a fig lover, this was a love at first sniff! A scent of fresh ripe fig fruit, sweet and creamy. Just like you picked up a dark purple fig straight from the tree and gave it a taste. So juicy and fleshy. The combination of notes is brilliant. For tamarind and ivy I can't say, because i didn't have a chance to smell them on its own but all the other notes make sense together in a very creative and interesting way. I think it was a great idea to combine pistacio with tonka to make it more creamy and nutty. I detect clementine, makes the scent sweeter and fresher. The herbal notes add green touch. A bit dry and leafy. I would say it has a tiny bit of saltiness too. Yet nothing draws the fig, which is in the center, out of balance. Added notes just give compliments to the fig. Simple fragrance. Perfect for relaxing times. I'm from Croatia, and this fragrance gets me very nostalgic about the holidays in the Mediterranean nature.

Green Tea Fig is a delicious scent, really natural, to fig and fig tree leaves. It is fantastic for spring and summer. I feel timidly the DNA of the Green Tea line, with a subtle green tea smell in the drydown. It is by far my favorite of the line.

It has a clean, citrusy opening, with a hint of sweetness, and it quickly settles in the skin with the predominant notes of fig and fig tree leaves.

The sillage is moderate and the duration is surprisingly good in my skin, around 7-8 hours.

This is for me a lovely scent, it takes me to many moments lived in gardens where there were fig trees or to walks in the countryside when we found a fig tree with riped figs on it. Despite it is not complex and neither has much of an evolution, it think it is a very nice option for spring and summer and I will keep buying it.

I have other nice fig based scents, like i.e. Fichi e Panna from Kyse, but, for its quality for the price and how easy is it to find it, I will keep better Green Tea Fig in my collection.

Would I buy it again? For sure

Beware, this is way more bitter than the notes make out. Fig is not dominant at all for me, the green tea and leaves rule all the way with just a touch of sweetness. If you like the original green tea this is a slightly fruitier twist but I was looking for much more fig than I got.

dessybg

Тъй като обожавам аромата на смокиня няма как да не кажа страхоотен - оределено се усеща смокинята,не е сладникав а свеж. Истински антидепресант...

Tevezege

Oh my God, this perfume is sooo delicious. Enough fresh, and citric.Perfect balanced juice for me. Little bit grean and creamy, not a normal line but it's quite wearable for every day. Ok it's not a masterpiece at all but really new.
I feel it in my mouth, on my tongue.

floydwellian

Does anyone know how this compares to PARFUMS DE NICOLAI "Fig-Tea"? I really love Fig-Tea but would be pleased to find something similar but a bit less expensive.

Ryla

I have to make a review of this as it turned out to be one of my favorites. There's something about this that got me hooked. I usually put it before going to bed and I'll wake up to an amazing musk scent. What it is at the beginning is pretty amazing, too. More fig than green tea (which I love, the green tea just became the backup singer for the fig), it's warm and sweet and relaxing and very very cozy. This is what I crave for when I'm sick, when I'm in some sort of discomfort, basically when I just want to experience peace and tranquility. Not a common scent which is also refreshing among the sea of fruitchoulis and generic smells. The longevity is also better than other green tea flankers! The best from the line imo.

LisaLovesPerfume

Green Tea Fig is the closest item that I can find that is similar to my beloved Mediterranean Fig by Pacifica, which is has been discontinued. This is a very green fig with emphasis on fig, fig leaf, and ivy notes. This is not a sweet fig scent. So if you are searching for a fig fragrance that is not sweet and leans more towards a green, clean feeling...I recommend Green Tea Fig!

AriannaO

Today I sprayed on my wrists:
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Pomegranate and E.A. Green Tea Fig.
At the beginning first one was fresh, I didn't like it but I didn't dislike it, even if seemed more a bodyspray (if it costed 1-2€ ok but 20€ is too much for this), after 3hours it smelled sour like anti-mosquito spray. After 4 hour it smell like hand cream but not in a good way, a bit like sun cream, mixed with Autan bleah.
The other one, the one I'm reviewing now, at the beginning was alcholic and same as the other one, would not pay more than 2€! after 4 hours was not too bad, slightly sweet, but now after 5 hours smell the same as the other one, mosquito spray slightly lemongrass..
Not for me!

cookygirl

I didn't care for this one.
I guess I don't like fig.

gtabasso

A fave Green Tea flanker since I hate the original. This goes on with the typical tea DNA and some nice dry fig leaf. Very green. Then as it dries down and gets sweeter, that ripe fig fruit comes in. In the base, it goes back to a grassy green tea scent. Very pretty and fresh.

R0x0lana

Love this. It is fresh fruity, sweet, but kind of fresh sweet scent. I bought this as a present for somebody who love original Green Tea last year. I tested it in the store and thought she would like it and it was new last year.
Today I tested it again in the store to see if I would like it for myself. Loved smelling it for the rest of the day and the 2 sprays lasted for more than 7 hours on me and it is still pretty cool where I live.

Flemeth

Fresh and simple, there is nothing complex about this fragrance. Sweet fig with a hint of green tea to lighten it up. Great for relaxing for home, I would imagine.

praerotare

Pass. It smells like Bath and Body Works and sour peaches on me.

Molly Smith

The smell is deliciously fresh, sweet, but not too sweet, and very natural. The longevity is quite poor, but because the price is also fair and I love fig, I think I might add it to my collection.

Daisy143

I had high hopes for this. I love the green tea yuzu , green tea mimosa, and the green tea bamboo but this one..? Not only is it repellent to my own nostrils, it doesn't work with my body chemistry. For those of you who love this.... enjoy.
I had hopes that I could too.

SheShe

I like it. It's a green-purple fragrance if I had to describe it with colours. Suitable for spring and summer the most. Fig leaf, lemon, violet leaf, pistachio - these notes I can detect the most. Sillage is moderate. Fresh fragrance, kind of sharp. All in all, a good combo and a nice perfume but I don't feel the need to buy it.

CrunchieNut

One of my favourite scents this summer. I don't think it smells of figs much at all, and thank goodness it doesn't have a lot of the original Green Tea scent in it either. It smells fresh and woody and slightly sweet at the same time, with hints of tea and bergamot. Like you just came out of the shower! You do have to reapply if you want people around you to be aware of it, but I can still smell it faintly on my skin after a good 3 hours.

fishwife

This is definitely one of the best of the flankers...the fig comes out right away and it just smells good...

Nikkafragrance

This is indeed sooo good. I'm not a fan of the Green tea line, but Cucumber and now this one are my favorites. It smells sweet, yet not cloying, very prominent fig and fig leaf with subtle tea note. So far it's not very green or citrusy, I've been wearing it for an hour and it's more of a woody fragrance. Today is very humid outside, however Green tea Fig performs great. A really lovely summer fragrance. Three sprays gave me a nice, moderate silage. As the whole scent calms down, I can definitely smell the pistachio note, it's so yummy. What's more, the current price is really ridiculous, so I'm seriously considering about purchasing a bottle.

LadyIva

I love fig as a note in perfumery. I've had Diptyque Philosykos for several years now, and it's one of my summer staples. Naturally, I couldn't resist sniffing EA Green Tea Fig. This is a very good fragrance for fig lovers on a tight budget. The smell of the actual fruit is reproduced very realistically, and the composition is complemented by the standard Green Tea fare of herbal, citric and musky notes. Just like the other scents from this line, Green Tea Fig requires frequent reapplication, because it quickly turns into a skin scent. It's a nice refreshing summer fragrance.

canadianpetite

To my nose, fig is prominent particularly in the top notes. It is not sweet. The tea provides some softening of the edges and bergamot (citrus) keeps it fresh. This is more woodsy and blended than say Body Shop's Fig scent. EA Fig smells too masculine and herbal on my skin which is too bad as the C$40 sticker would have been good for the summer.

One spray on me:
Sillage: a little less than arm's length
Longevity: about an hour then skin scent
Rating: 2/5

blue baby

It's a shower fresh, clean, calming, inoffensive herbal scent. I tried in hot weather and stayed fresh (without sweet undertone) and relativ longlasting (on clothes). This will be my summer everyday perfume soon!

Arlene-Beatrix

Very nice top notes, citrus, tea and fig. Later it is more herbal and green.

the scent of green fig once you bite into it. this goes more plant fresh once on for a few hours, tht initial top juicy note subsides. i get a nice whaft in the car from my arm.

there is an unusual note with the fruit element.
i cant smell the original and flankers in this (thanks goodness) i dislike them all - the sales girl sprayed this near me is why ive tried it.
green tea nectarine has a juicy brightness with greenness that this also has. different scents but for point of reference/comparison.

Zetamamman

Very nice and realistically smelling fresh fig in the opening, real fruit, not candy or cocktail. Dries down to a recognizable Arden "green tea" base of tea, citrus and a bit powdery sweet.

jana.hullinghorst

This one looks EXCELLENT. I'll be trying it for sure.

Betsywoolbright

The fig and pistachio combination looks yummy. I like the Green Tea series, and I like a fig note. I'd try this one for sure.

Alces Alces

Yes, please!

Elizabeth Arden is a little late to the fig party, but this sounds intriguing. Fig is a favorite note of mine.
