Headache inducing, harsh fragrance. I got it couple of months ago, liked it at first but can't stand it now it makes me sick

From this brand polvere di Sienna is a much nicer Be zion forward vanilla with a much deeper, nicer drydown.
This is nice to in the opening but drys down to something rather forgettable. Its not artificial at all tho, its well made and its not a generic musky, chemical sweet sugar vanilla. Just saying for you deep vanilla lovers -> polvere di Sienna

First, I'm on the hunt for my perfect vanilla. This is not it. I bought it a couple of days ago (along with a couple other pricier vanillas) while I was dosed up on some good painkillers for my back. I don't advise shopping in this mental state, since so far I've ended up with nothing I like. I based my purchase of Vanilla Piccante on the article above titled "A tale of two vanillas". I should've read the comments here, but like I said, painkillers. Anyway, this is absolutely an amber forward scent, and there may be vanilla here somewhere, but I'm not getting it. I wouldn't say it's spicy, either, but at least I don't get the babysick note that others have described. It's been a few years since I sniffed Ambre Sultan, but this seems like it could be a light version of that. It's powdery, and definitely has a mature woman vibe, but not in a good way...like something your not-so-favorite ex mother-in-law would wear. I could see it on a mature gentleman as well, but it wouldn't make me want to cozy up to him. It's hanging around on my arm forever too, so I guess the nicest thing I can say is that it's budget friendly.

Sento il piccante ma non la vaniglia. Somiglia molto a Ambre Nue di Atelier Cologne

When I tore the plastic of the box and eventually stuffed my nose to the spritzer I thought "oh god, this is IT!?". It smelled incredible. Then, unfortunately, when I sprayed it on it wasn't as pleasent anymore *sigh*. trabuquera got it right, I smell a bit of babysick too. I think the caramel is just too dominant and mixed with the spices it turns sickening. I want to love it so badly. And I probably would have if the nutmeg and caramel were toned down. Such a shame, it could have been THE one, an incredible scent, if only the ratios were slightly tweaked.

A sweet, sweet vanilla-amber-caramel combo with a bit of sandalwood in the mix.

This is a bold vanilla. Bold, sweet and loud. Not for warm weather or very close quarters - those who don't like strong/sweet/vanillic scents might find it to be too much to bear.

With that said, I really like it. It is one of the best vanillas I have smelled, seriously. It is not perfect but it is really good.
And if you like caramel, like I do, its note in this perfume is super yummy and surprisingly realistic!
The only thing that keeps me from loving it is that in the drydown it becomes a bit powdery and I am not a fan of that. But anyway.

Strong performance, mostly feminine but I can see a man wearing it. NOT for warm weather!!

Totally individual subjective response: this is what happens when yum yum goes wrong wrong WRONG. I can so clearly see what it's aiming for: a classy, spicy unisex vanilla, not so spiky-niche it will scare anyone away, but more nuanced and less sweet than one of the custard-and-cake bombs all over the market. This one is not nearly as individual or weird as, say Mona di Orio Vanille or YSL Magnificent Gold or Arquiste Anima Dulcis, but it's heading into that kind of territory. So very nearly delicious: true nutmeg and allspice, but not the bullying kind, a warm, soft, sweet cloud of toothsomeness. It ought to be impeccable.

Butttt.... on my skin, and (I hope) only on me: there's also an unmistakeable, unshakeable, unbearable and unavoidable note of ... baby sick. And because the high clouds of sweet vanilla are so inescapable, there's no getting away from that rancid note. Who let that in there? I don't know why or how it happened but I could not un-smell it. No disrespect to Erbario Toscano; my experiments with Cuore di Pepe Nero, Polvere di Siena, Fumo di Oppio and Gocce di Resina all went perfectly well, so they obviously do know how to make great stuff - it's just that one element which was disastrous on me.

Any vanilla-lover should try it - if it doesn't do the nasty sick-trick with you, it is very close to a niche-level vanilla at mainstream, even bargain price. Projection and longevity both solid, and despite the sweetness, perfectly unisex. Has all the potential to be a huge hit among those noses who know! But given my experience, I'd warn against blind buying this one.
