Sensuous Nude by Estée Lauder is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Sensuous Nude was launched in 2011. Top notes are Pink Pepper, Pepper, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot; middle notes are Coconut, Musk, White Honey, Jasmine and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Sandalwood, Vanille, Musk, Woodsy Notes, Heliotrope and Amber.

Sensuous Nude is a new version of the original perfume Sensuous from 2008. The new fragrance continues tradition of feminine and tame compositions leaving a cuddling and honey-sweet trail on woman's skin. Composition of the new editions opens with a luminous citrusy blend of Sicilian bergamot and mandarin spiced with bitterish and insolent trace of black and pink pepper. After the spicy citrusy-bitter start, the composition develops with floral nuances composed of jasmine petals and lily of the valley, refreshed with gentle exotic aromas of coconut water and sweetened honey drops and sensual musk veil. A base leaves a warm trail combined of sandalwood, vanilla, amber, heliotrope and woody notes. (Melted Wood Nature Print)

Flacon of Sensuous Nude has the same shape as its antecedent. It is colored in powdery pink, announcing sensuality of the composition. The fragrance can be obtained in three sizes: 30, 50 and 100ml EDP, along with an accompanying assortment: Sensuous Nude Body Veil – rich body cream 200ml, and Sensuous Nude Touch On Fragrance – light silky serum 10ml.

Advertising campaign was designed and executed by photographer Craig McDean, and advertising face is Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana, who posed on Californian beaches for this campaign. The fragrance arrives on the market in August 2011.

This is one of my all time favorites and I wore this when I got married. It's beautiful, strong and happy but definitely not overly sweet. It's perfect because although it wears like a second skin, This has great longevity. I personally think it can be worn at anytime in any season and is great for a date night.

pennyligeia

I loved it... So, seems like they always discontinue the really good stuff.
This was great for everyday wear, or Sunday church.
Soft, feminine and warm.

Slave2scent

This was my wedding scent back in 2009. So sad it was discontinued

Flexwithviv

For me I really tried to like and have as a skin scent. I just couldn’t get over the Wood shavings from beginning till the end. I tried a few times but couldn’t get into it, so I sold my bottle.

I just didn’t get coconut and citrus or whatever everyone else was getting from it.

To me this is not blind but safe, it’s very heavy on the woody side. It’s likely I will try Sensuous and see if that works better for me.

Edit: omdzzzzz I prefer Sensuous 100 times better. For those of you that do not like sensuous nude please try sensuous it’s so what I expected sensuous nude to be is like a skin scent that can be used all year round it’s lovely.

This is what I can imagine a mother or a wife to smell like it’s so inoffensive it’s tame and beautiful.

It’s a shame it’s discontinued. However I did see it in the perfume shop in the UK (but there was no test available, hence why I bought a half used bottle online from a reseller). I might just get myself a full bottle.(P.S. I did :))

I bought a few bottles of this in 2021 when i figured out it was discontinued. It’s a shame because it’s a lovely scent and i genuinely haven’t been able to find anything quite like it. It’s cozy woody, creamy, but the citrus on top lights it up. I do get pencil shavings from the sandalwood, but in a way i absolutely love! it’s not dry, somehow. I read someone said it smelled like a scented cosmetic and that’s kind of true. I haven’t smelled anything else that quite captures powder and wood, juicy citrus, and cozy creaminess. Ridiculous it’s been discontinued, but EL is big enough that i believe it’s still findable on ebay or discounters. Not for everyone, but I’m glad to see that others have a big fat soft spot for it like i do!

Sanrio

Woody and coconutty, slightly milky, but also peculiarly sour. The sort of tartness I associate with gardenia, honestly. There is a base of a warming skin musk type of smell.

Honestly, I think as far as summer time perfumes go, this one is unique to the typical sunscreen & Pina-colada scents. That being said, I really don't like it. It's the kind of scent that tickles my nose as I inhale and also reminds me a bit of OGX coconut shampoo but less sweet; not what I'm going for personally.

Happy to have found a sample after it was discontinued, but it's not for me.

I was lucky enough to come across this discontinued gem and I’m so happy that I’ve got it. (Lately all of my blind buys are being on spot!). I’ve given it some research and went for the notes as they spoke to my heart. How lucky I am to get my hands on this soothing beautiful fragrance!!

Was it love at first sniff? It truly was! I was showered with this feeling of euphoria and oddly enough it reminded me of a creamy powder puff that I used to have when I was a kid. I’d put baby powder all over me with that soft fluffy puff.

And then slowly with the drying down it unveiled its true essence of calmness and tranquility… 🤍😌

The feeling of fresh comfy wear after a warm shower…
The happiness under fresh sheets..
The warmth of a candle after a long day…

I was in the woody, powdery, vanilla and coconuty heaven! All merged together into this beautiful nostalgic dreamy mix of scents that I couldn’t even describe…

With this beautiful piece I’ve rediscovered my love for pink pepper and sandalwood notes once again.

I quite didn’t get the mandarin orange and the bergamot notes and honey and jasmine notes were very faint.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞:

- longevity: 4-5 hours in hot climate

- Sillage: mild to moderate

I like this more than the original sensuous and I’d go for a back up bottle in a heart beat if I’d ever have the chance to come across this beautiful piece once again!

Liene

Mostly woody and coconutty, slightly creamy with the softest spicy touch. Beautiful scent, easy to wear all year round, leans feminine. The sillage is very modest, but it is appealing in a way (that woody, musky, creamy facet goes well with intimate sillage), however it lasts all day on the skin.

I mainly get woody coconut and fluffy musk, also sandalwood and heliotrope, and some vanilla is detectable. At some stages pepper, woody and spicy honey, florals and citrus nuances play their part.
As stated before, it is very beautiful and appealing, well balanced, approachable, but I guess I want some intrigue and drama in my perfume. Enjoyable nevertheless.

violeteme

The description page is quite accurate for the Sensuous Nude. It is lactonic, sweet, woody coconut, vanilla, sandalwood, heliotrope and musk perfume mostly. Very softly powdery. One of those perfumes, which were considered "your skin, but better" in the 2010's. It is, without a doubt, similar to the Alaia's Nude. I like the Alaia one better as Sensuous Nude also contains some sort of a spicy note, which smells a bit too bright and off in the whole composition.

Raven NessRavenous

I was gifted a small bottle of Sensuous Nude around 2008. That was during a time that if I had perfume, it was a gift as perfume was a luxury I could not afford on my own. It was sexy and I only wore it exclusively for evening special occasions. It was what I wore with black outfits and leather boots, brown lipstick. My bottle eventually ran out. It was something I thought I would purchase for myself when my financial situation improved but I discovered it was discontinued. It was a musky coconut with mysterious woods. I’ve not smelled anything like it since.

itra

I like and enjoyed the original Sensuous. But Sensuous Nude is not for me - too wood shavings for me.

Roses and Thyme

This is the second closest fragrance I have to a signature and I am absolutely heartbroken it’s gone. I’ve had my bottle since around 2014-ish and I’m just down to the last little bit.

It has become sharper over the years. I never noticed the peppery opening until recently. For me, it has always been a “my skin but better,” smooth and silky. I like the obvious pepper, though.

clairesque

Curses. This is a fragrance that I was in love with on the first wear, but now the more I wear it, the less I like it. First wear was a gorgeous, lightly powdery vanilla violet reminiscent of scented makeup, with a sensual musky undertone. Every time I've worn it since, the pepper is overpowering and the jasmine is also a little too strong - it's no longer sensual at all. Maybe I'll give it a break for a while before trying again.

Also, this was launched in 2011?? It smells like every 30 to 40-something woman I ever interacted with when I was growing up in the late 90s/early 2000s.

LisaMCollins

This is so lovely with the Coco Cabana Sol de Janeiro body cream...for me it takes the perfume from a like to a love 💘.

BellaPolito

I’m absolutely crushed that this has been discontinued. Such a unique fragrance I haven’t found anything close to it. At first it reads as very peppery but as it settles it becomes more of a powdery scent

cocodust

This was on my to try list, which I did. I think it was okay but don’t think I will buy as got a bit soapy and screechy to me at some point.

VictoriaSmells

I like this because it turns into a 'skin scent' on me. It makes me feel clean and dry, even in sticky, humid weather. Yes it's a bit powdery, but my skin pulls more of the vanilla, wood and amber. I think it's neutral enough for all types of weather and inoffensive enough for any occasion. To me, it just smells like you showered with a vanilla body wash, applied some baby powder and then put on a cozy white cotton tshirt (or sweater).

I see a lot of comparisons to DK Cashmere Mist, but I actually like Sensuous Nude better. Sensuous Nude is unobtrusive while Cashmere Mist feels a little like it's trying too hard to be special.

I think I like this *because* it's safe and boring. A vaguely sweet skin fragrance is exactly what I imagined when I hear the words 'sensuous nude.' And that's exactly what it does for me.

renashepet

Overall, I find this to be a nice perfume, it's powdery and sweet but I just find it boring. I've tried to give it it's fair chance but I have powdery perfumes I like more.

In saying that, if you want a barely used bottle of this please message me - I'd be happy to sell or trade - based in Canada.

rainydays

I haven't put this on in years so I got a sample and I'm so... Disappointed! I recall loving this but now I get primarily dry, powdery coconut. It doesn't smell bad by any means but there's no depth, no richness. Similar vibe to cashmere mist. While it's "pretty" there's something about it that's dated.

lavender_wind.

Agree with BlossomKa and Koninginbelow... Had high hopes for this fragrance based on the recent coconut article by Elena and by reading the notes of this fragrance. However, the coconut note here is green, citrusy and floral... somewhat an adulterated, artificial coconut (to my nose of course).

It smells unpleasantly mainstream, in contrast to the beautiful creamy, scrumptious coconut note from Hypnotic Poison... Sensuous nude reminds me of the soap and towel from a cheap hotel. It wants to include every note, and, in doing so, did not fully commit to coconut. IMHO, the citruses and florals really destroyed what could be a beautiful coconut/vanilla/sandalwood combo.

Not a safe blind buy. Try a tester first and see if it agrees with you.

blossomka

6/10. Sweet. tropical fruit like coconut. Strong floral goes up the nose. Turns to white floral, mimosa. Wearable but unrefined and a little fake. Too sweet in a floral way for me. Annoying after a while.

JulienneLy

I love wearing this at night and to bed. Very warm cosy sensual vibes on the skin.
It leans more coconut sweet and creamy on my skin with the sandalwood and powder notes still there.
On cloths it’s last even longer but slightly less sweet. Which is fine because I still love the comforting scent.
About 6hrs on skin and until wash on clothing.
I love smelling this on my scarves. I enjoy this scent all year round, mostly nights.

Koningin

When I first sprayed this one I thought it smelled okay. I smell the wood very well in the initial blast, plus then orange as well. That only lasts about 30min max.
The dry down is completely different. It smells like a complete other fragrance. It smells like straight up baby powder mixed with cashmere. It is quite an abnoxious smell and quite frankly I don’t like it at all. The cashmere smell upsets my stomach because it smells ‘old’ to my nose. Very Similar to Cashmere mist from Donna Karen.

I was so exited to try this fragrance because I was under the impression that it would be a nice spring and summer fragrance. It turned out to be too cold and dry for my summer taste.
I will give it another try ik the fall. Maybe it will grow on me.

iurhaiush

I've just received a partial bottle of this. I'll be back to share more impressions when I've had the chance to wear it some more, but straight from the bottle - I smell what people refer to as pencil shavings (I've always wondered what they mean by that, well now I know) and coconut. Maybe a hint of jasmine.. It's really lovely.

downtomars13

Beautiful. I like this more than the original Sensuous. The coconut is creamy and milky - not tropical. Which suits this great. Very yummy yet sexy due to the sandalwood. Very understated. And aptly named "nude"

scentnut

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this little gem having had it for six years and almost using a whole bottle (which is very rare for me). I was digging in my perfume collection for something the complete opposite of the cold, grey, dreary February weather outside as the lack of warmth and sunshine is starting to get to me. I immediately went to Sensuous Nude which reminds me of the summer of my divorce.

I had just bought this and headed to my friend’s place at the beach for a weekend getaway to ease my troubled mind. I met the most gorgeous beach boy and though our summer romance was fleeting (as is this perfume) it was just what I needed. Neither required much thought. This perfume accompanied me on every trip to see him and my friend and it has such positive scent memories.

On my skin it’s a mostly dry sandalwood with a true (not dessert like) coconut and powdery “makeup” vibe. GORGEOUS in hot, humid, southern weather. I have just a little left and I’ll probably finish it up when I go on vacation for spring break. Although I have fond scent memories, I won’t repurchase. On to new chapters!

lauren.smells

This perfume has two sides to it: there's the delightful creamy, woody aspect...and then there's powder that can only be described as meant for a baby's bottom. The cream and wood? Wonderful. The baby powder? Not so much. It's still unclear which side will gain the most prominence on my skin.
Update: I really really like this :) the weird baby powder scent has faded a lot.

LisaMCollins

Woody+Coconut+Vanilla+Powdery= Sweet Pencil Shavings. Very beautiful pencil Shavings. I like it. The scent is very comforting, but has a Sexy Teacher/Librarian vibe.

Lasts about 5-6 hours in a close to you bubble. Afterward it is a velvety soft skin scent. I think it is the perfect thing to wear to work or church. And since it will only last until you come home from work, it will allow you to wear another fragrance if you want that evening without clash.

Edit: 3/15/2021
I get so many compliments from this fragrance. I do overspray and I have the original sensuous body lotion.

Kurama

This one is very likeable:) Sweet coconut mousse, uplifted by a faint citrusy note in the very beginning and drying down into a fluffy (not dirty) musk with vanilla. Despite its sweetness, it is not cloying but very wearable. Will be wearing this to bed for a cosy feeling.

Bellissimo81

I bought this perfume without smelling it first, i saw the beautiful notes in this perfume, and as i love Musk, Sandalwood and Coconut, i thought this would be a Tropical type of scent. I must say this perfume is nothing what i expected it to be. I dont smell the Coconut, or Sandalwood. The Bergamot and mandarin comes through strong and also the Jasmin.
It's not a perfume i would buy again, but its also not a bad smelling perfume.

bathcatz

This perfume smells does not work on me at all. Smells of baby powder, just a lot of powder maybe a slight coconut scent. It sort of ruins my mood. It makes me feel like I sprayed on grandma perfume and since I don't like the smell on top of that it lasts a while and projects so when I was testing it out it was painful because I did not want to smell like it.

MiaKarmelle

This perfume has a powerful effect on men and has broken hearts, now including mine. It is soft, powdery and vanilla. I wore it for years through several life changes, including babies, a divorce an abusive relationship and another baby. I can’t wear it anymore because of the intense memories it triggers.

Lolapoop

There is nothing " nude" about this scent. This frag is intrusive and very strong. I have it on my hand for few hours now ,just a dub and it hasn't lost its fire power at all. I don't find it very unpleasant ,but I don't think it is one of those neutral and easy going fragrances one can get away with in every circumstances -hence why the name "nude"?

Joys of life

I expected this to smell like a light version of Sensuous, but it's completely different.

I get orange on topnotes only, then heliotrope, musk, vanilla, and honey on clothes, and it lasts for-ev-er, I still smell this two days later on my sweater. There's a slight sourness under the sweetness, which gives me an almost aldehyde-like effect. Smells very 80s to me... and its' projection is rather fierce and concentrated.

On skin, it's a completely different story. We start out with the same powdery scented diapers scent, and then the perfume makes a 180 degree turn, drying down to a coconut, wood, heliotrope, musk fragrance. Projection is very weak. The difference between skin and fabric is SO odd, I've tested this multiple times, when typically I wouldn't have the patience for a perfume that's this sweet and powdery.

Does not measure up to the blending or sophistication of Sensuous or Sensuous Noir, IMO, but vintage lovers should enjoy this. If you have a problem with heliotrope, I wouldn't recommend Sensuous Nude.

j u i c y c o c o n u t

I really wanted to like it. I was hoping for powdery honeyed sandalwood but this is coconut, and not sweet creamy coconut, it smells bitter.

Ideal for those who don't want a distinctive smell, who need something subdued, giving a rest to the sense of smell. People on the street will not smell it, but those passing close, leaning over, hugging us - absolutely.

RubyWooHoo

I think the name 'Sensuous Nude' suits this perfume perfectly - it reminds me of summer skin, sun-warmed and smelling faintly of coconut sunscreen. The sillage is minimal, which I like. If it were any stronger it would be a coconut overdose (for me, at least!). The longevity is very good though, and makes me think the soft sillage was intentional - it very much suits the concept.

All things considered, I probably wouldn't buy this for myself. However, I'm going to have no problems enjoying the little bottle I got as a gift.

pansylady

This is an ultra-creamy, soft skin scent- nice!

Oohsmellthisone

I can’t unsmell the pencils. I wanted to love this as it was described as a comforting light coconut summer skin scent , but that’s not what I get here. Bronze Goddess is giving me the summer feels I was looking for.

ambydawn

This is another fragrance with reviews that vary so much you absolutely have to sample yourself before buying. I seem to gravitate toward those!

I blind-bought this because of reviews and a good deal lol but was hoping to get the sweet woody coconut musk so many reviews promised. It completely fails on delivering that, but alas it is not a total failure and I have been wearing it more and more lately. To me, it is sweet, musky heliotrope the whole way. Opening to me is a powder bomb! I love a powder scent, but prefer iris in general. In fact, I used to despise the baby powder heliotrope note. This scent has great longevity on me -- at least 8hrs -- even on my scent eating skin. The drydown is a clean musky skin scent. I mostly wear it at home. It's very calming and cozy.

Bottom line: don't blind buy this based on notes and don't expect any coconut just because others find it prominent. I'm still scratching my head on that one...

Soozatska

It took me two tries to like this - The opening is full of pepper, which I really love sometimes, BUT in this iteration it just screams "Pencil SHAVINGS!" I have definitely encountered this before, and it has altered my relationships with a number of frags. Luckily, this effect fades pretty quickly, and it leaves in its wake a luscious coconut skin scent. It's quite light, but I'm excited to layer it with some body lotion and pump up that delightful woody-coconut essence for the summer!

Naomie

I had this perfume years ago so I’ve got it again but it was nicer in my memories. You can feel the vanilla and the coconut straight away, it’s like a summer cocktail for me, sweet but not overly sweet, going towards powdery. Nice for summer but there are so much better ones out there then this one. If someone likes fresh baby powder scents and hunting a summer perfume I would point this out Straight away. Fresh scent in a sweet way. If someone looks for fresh fresh summer scent white linen from Estée Lauder is sensational for me that’s a better choice I regret it a bit that I went for this instead of white linen, I needed an estee in my collection I think I made a bad choice as I don’t use it at all,

Lighter version of Versace Crystal Noir

Saira.Manahil

So I’ve heard pretty good things about Sensuous Nude and decided to pick it up when I heard it being described as coco butter and nice summery beach scent... well I don’t really pick up on any of that, what I mainly get is an airy white musk with a slight woody element in the back. There is no doubt that this is a skin scent but I guess that’s kind of the point with this one. It’s supposed to be like a slinky little chemise that you slip on right before your man comes home, an illusion of fabric that leaves little to the imagination, and which he will promptly rip off of you upon his arrival.

Drnonododo

((BLIND BUY)) I didn't expect much from this perfume.. But I was surprised by my husband's reaction on it.. He told me that it smells extremely sexy on me, noticing that we are in the middle of winter here in New Zealand and the performance is really AMAZING!
I get mainly a clean, powdery fresh smell of coconut and orange, well mixed with the warmth of honey and natural vanilla... Really lovely.
On my skin it radiates in the cold weather of 1°c for about 4 hrs and much more on clothes.. I am giving it 7.5/

GoodVibrations

This is a modern masterpiece. Like skin, only better. Too sensuous to be called “tame.” Too gorgeous to be called “generic.” This risks vulnerability while remaining full-time wearable. Can mandarin truly be voluptuous? Can heliotrope truly beckon an admirer? Can musks be so wearable and inviting? Can honey and vanilla conspire to avoid sweetness? They can in this composition. This transcends the realm of fragrance and speaks to the soul. It also calls to mind the beautiful lactonic introductory formulation of Chanel No. 5 Eau Première while also winking at sensuous fresh musk from the Bvlgari lineup. Finally, I’m nostalgically reminded of the long gone but not forgotten Night Blooming Jasmine. Again, this is a modern masterpiece.

Konga5000

Just did a blind buy . Nice and pretty much what I expected but it seems pretty light. Soft , light very feminine . I have to live with this for a while but I'm getting a feeling it's going to be a little too light.
EDIT: 6 hours later. Sadly- yeah- VERY light . I sprayed my wrist 4 times so minutes ago- I have to press my nose on my skin to get a whiff. Oh well.....

mychinarose

"Fluffy coconut." This is most definitely a skin scent, and that means it's a green light to wear to bed and not be up all night because your perfume keeps waking you up (that happens to me!). I decided to layer this with Kyse Perfumes Delizia di Marshmallow today, since both of these scents I consider to be "fluffy," and the DdM adds more projection and sweetness. Now it's a warm, coconut meringue pie. Heavenly combination!

Austrian_in_Denmark

Back in the olden days, before an E.V.I.L. viking kidnapped me and schlepped me to Scandinavia, I lived in Central Europe and loved to sit on my balcony during summer evenings.

Sensuous Nude is the perfect scent for this: friendly, cosy, summery. Does not stay on my skin for a long time, but then, I would not sit on the balcony until very late either. It does get cold eventually, even more South from here.

Scentsywhatsky

I’m wearing a sample. On first spray, it’s a powder bomb, but it evolves into a warm woody coconut fragrance that isn’t heavy. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I too smell a pencil smell. I don’t dislike it though. If this were a replica fragrance, It could be called at the office circa1990 something, or Letter from a friend replicating back to when people hand wrote them and you might smell their fragrance on the paper.
It’s not an over the top fragrance. Sits close to the skin. A strong like for me but I like Sensuous best.

blondehairdontcare

This one is definitely a skin scent. To me it smells very much like a pencil with rubber eraser on one end. Its woody but you can smell some rubberiness (is that a term?lol) even though it isnt listed in the notes.
Very likeable scent, best suited for day/office cause its projection is very modest. Unintrusive, safe, simple. I will not be repurchasing this, but I will enjoy wearing this on those days when I just want to smell clean and put together without attracting attention.

Vegas Pauli

A sweet and succulent tasty morsel with coconut, vanilla and sandalwood as the standout elements. In spite of the notes its actually light and easy to wear. Thumbs up.

kasey_skywalker

Have you ever wanted to smell like a sexy No2 pencil slathered in tanning oil at the beach? This is your perfume! (I actually like it, but that really is how it smells.)

Phantomias

A mini of this scent arrived today, and right off the bat I can tell this one won't be a favorite. I love the original Sensuous, but this flanker isn't nearly as good. The coconut note gives a suntan lotion aspect to the fragrance, and that's not how I wish to smell.
Luckily SN has modest sillage and lasting power, quite unlike the original S.
No honey or sandalwood notes as far as I can tell, no floral notes either. The artificial coconut note overwhelms any other notes this perfume should have.
This fragrance seems to have many fans, and that's fine because everyone's taste is different. It just seems a shame that Estee Lauder now makes thin one note scents with poor sillage and lasting power - I'm sticking with the original Sensuous.

JustSimpleThings

Warm musk. On my skin, the coconut combined with the other deeper notes (sandalwood, amber) reads almost as cocoa butter? I feel like I've just moisturised my skin with cocoa butter all over. It's a lovely feeling.

Definitely a quiet, not in-your-face scent. I find it quite sexy and I enjoy it as a skin-scent.

yiola.al

I like this perfume on me.I mean, it is fall and I wanted something warm and skinlike. It is a powdery musk,a little citrusy and one hour later.. fainted sandalwood and vanilla.
No coconut,no sweet honey notes. No flowers.Doesnt remind me of a beachy summer fragrance at all.More like Burberry Body type which I like but it seems no one around me notices.

churinl

One of my greatest joys in being a perfume collector is having the opportunity to gift people dear to me with decants. When given a chance to smell a variety of perfumes, I am amazed at how often people smell this and say "Yummy! This one please!" I understand why, because it's smooth and comforting, and easy to like, especially by people who enjoy smelling "nice" in a somewhat generic way. As for me, I think I summed up my impression of this perfume clearly - nice, but generic. There is something that comes across as very artificial to me, something in the woody notes I believe, and it keeps me from really liking this. However, it is perfectly acceptable to spray on in the colder months - a good sweater perfume - and for that reason I am happy to have it. It reminds me of Alaia Nude, but I think that is a superior fragrance. It's just "okay" in my opinion.

SailorV

This was on my test list for so long, but I never saw it in a store in Germany. This summer I saw an empty tester bottle in Sephora in Kayseri/Turkey and thought I will never find a fresh tester because it‘s discontinued. Now I‘m back in Kayseri, and imagine my surprise when I saw that the same Sephora now has a new full tester bottle that I could try several times - maybe Sensuous Nude is not discontinued worldwide after all?

Anyways, the scent is not bad, but I‘m glad I never committed to a blind-buy, even though I thought about it. It‘s much less coconutty and more musky than I thought. There are some beachy florals in the opening, and yes, a little coconut, too, but on my skin it quickly dries down to a soft powdery-creamy musk with sandalwood and a hint of vanilla and heliotrope. Very inoffensive and skin-like. This would work if you want a little olfactory vacation feeling at the office without disturbing anyone. I wish I could smell even a hint of pink pepper or honey, or more coconut, but alas, it‘s just a slightly beachy skin musk on me.
For a more interesting coconut and sandalwood scent I would recommend Pierre Guillaume Cadjmere instead.

This is my favourite coconut-heavy scent to date. A lot of coconut fragrances smell a little too much like suntan lotion or sweet sweet piña coladas - neither of which I mind but it does make them smell a little less ‘perfumey’.

This is not like that - It’s absolutely perfect for a hot getaway but in an understated, sexy way. It smells like gorgeous coconut oil with a musky, sandalwoody base. I also get a hint of that mandarin, which is lovely. I don’t get pepper or white flowers so much, but I don’t mind. I do get the vanilla and honey a little more when it dries down, otherwise they serve to highlight the coconut mostly, I think.

It’s honestly gorgeous and if you love driftwoodsy, sexy, sunset soaked scents... give it a go.

I've been experimenting - trying this fragrance on when I am out at department stores or Ulta. This one is growing on me. I've always loved Estee Lauder fragrances because they wear so long on my skin. Beautiful has been one of my signature scents for over 25 years now.

Sensuous Nude is growing on me. I am liking the coconut musk more and more.

If you don't like coconut or musk - then you will probably find that you are not going to gravitate to this one. However, if these are two of your favorite perfume notes, you are missing out if you have not tried this one.

I also like Bronze Goddess - another Estee Lauder fragrance that has a coconut oil type smell. Sensuous Nude is great too -- you should try both Bronze Goddess and Sensuous Nude if you really love coconut.

Pandarapt

Slick woody-amber with a lighter than molasses honey from the original Sensuous jarred by the slight screech of Australian sandalwood and freshened by the splash of an anemic coconut note with an airy ring from lily-of-the-valley. Not bad, actually.

Very beach hair-tutorial, sexy but vacant, stilettos on the beach early-noughties photoshoot before the social media-savy ambroxan and the instagram filter of iso-e super appeared on the scene to overdose. I prefer this sheer bronzer style than the fake nude, contour overkill look of the latter.

Zowie

I love this scents very much ! I am having a second bottle of this !

It is straight forward notes of a manual warm base, stick very close to your skin. I think this smell gives men a calm-down, relaxing feminine, being home feeling without being too old grand,a, too powdery and too flirty. But it is sexy !!! Like a man being held by a woman he loves at a cozy summer afternoon.

It is not that sweet, not that milky and not that spicy. It is just very relax without any strong citrus or specific notes.

And I usually combine it with other warm base or floral base perfume and it won't bother other scents at all !!

Rosemary14

When I first put this on my skin today all I got was baby powder. Now that it’s warmed up after about 45 min I’m getting a tiny bit of the coconut, vanilla, and sandalwood. But, you must like that inoffensive powder smell if you are to love this one especially if you’re thinking about blind buying it. It’s quite close to the skin. It’s a like for me.

romrom

I love this one. I think it's the best coconut beach scent without smelling like a pinia colada. It's a very mature sexy fragrance.

Flemeth

Having liked Sunny Side Up I was looking for similar, more wearable scents as that one projects heavily all day.
Sensuous Nude is not quite alike, but it is a nice, cozy fragrance. Woody, dry, clean coconut. Sadly, sillage and longevity are rather weak.

bkaye

This smells like a walk in the woods right after a spring rain. It's very woody and edgy. Winter surrendering to the earthy flowers of spring. I really like it because it's different.

Coquita

It's one of those perfumes that smell wonderful on paper and meh on me. It smells like nice suntan lotion, but the heliotrope and the vanilla were too present for my taste, I'd prefer something more coconutty. Could be a good office scent for powdery-scent lovers, as sillage and lasting power are moderate.

Looking back across time, I found a review I wrote for Estee Lauder's Sensuous, my enraptured words describing the mother fragrance as "the intermingling of sap and resin running from a tree", inviting me to imagine I'd been "rolling around on moss" when its scent had lingered upon my skin for a time.

Years later, Sensuous Nude has nigh conquered its namesake for a place amongst my most beloved fragrant paramours. Where Sensuous is aligned with nature - native, agrestal, wild - Sensuous Nude is pure, poetic intimacy, all unpeeled and revealed.

This beautiful scent marries creamy coconut, honeyed sandalwood, and cashmere musk in the most elegant, refined way imaginable. It's a whisper of a dream of a skin scent, less a sileage stirrer and more a hushed, serene caress.

Sensuous Nude is no splashy grande dame, and doesn't long to be; she's an aromatic balm that would sooner spin her spells in a gentle, waveless whisper.

VieuxCarre

Creamy, powdery, soft coconut.

It's my signature perfume spring and summer time. It's vacation on your skin!!!

That light soft coconut isn't at all a playful teenager, but a grown women with a soft voice who enjoys relaxing.

savah

Silky and soft. Longevity is good enough.

annxyz

Sensuous was already nude . You needed a detective to find the scent and now we have a more fleeting scent . Disappointing .

SweetLadyForOne

This smells very different than anything else I own. But I really like it! Soft and sweet. I smell coconut and vanilla. It's a smooth and calming scent.

LuxMicrocosma

This didn't smell like perfume at all on my skin. It smelled like skin that spend couple of hours sunbathing on the beach. It's all in there: SPF lotion, smell of warmed skin, some dryness in it that evokes sand... Sits VERY close to the skin; almost no silage.

Bouquet

This was one of my favorites, but the last bottle I bought smelled really chemical and weird. Don't know if it was a reformulation or bad batch. if this is the correct smell, I am never buying it again.

Rinio

It is what it is..the sexiest perfume ever ... warm and sensual but doesn´t want you. Only one look and kiss is all you get and then it quickly disappears. Like an unrequited love;)it will frustrate you and you are forced to move on!

BringUsAShrubbery

On my skin, this has a quality that reminds me of Coty Exclamation, which is not really one of my favorites. I tried this years ago, thought I loved it, and it has been on my wishlist ever since. I almost bought this and the original yesterday on a whim, but I'm so glad I didn't. I was able to to try them on in store today, and I don't like either one as much as I remembered. I can see how this would smell absolutely amazing on someone else, but there are better fragrances out there for me.

diatosin

I bought this as a blind buy, well half blind because I smelled it in a store and I loved it! I don't know if it was reformulated, but is soo weak I have to struggle to smell it right after a few sprays. It leaves a nice skin scent after drying down, but you have to press your nose to the skin. I recommend this only for people that are alergic or cannot stand perfume, because it won't project and you won't know you are smelling a perfume. I will try layering it with coconut oil and dousing myself in it on hot days. Not worth the price! Not even on sale...

jg2758

I got a vague scent that was a little bit coconutty but mainly a vague sort of "soft." Not my thing.

FrkFors

I have only been wearing this in wintertime until now and I thought I didn't like this very much... But now when the weather is warming up, I love this more and more for every time I use it!
It starts off with citrus, pepper, woods and coconut. After it dries down for a bit, it becomes smoother. The vanilla, heliotrope, jasmine, musk and white honey starts to appear more and more, accompanied by the rest of the notes which doesn't come through too strong on me, but they are definitely there. In the end, this is mostly a woody, peppery coconut with the perfect amount of sweetness and powder. I really love that this is a more "mature" coconut, not a cheap, artificial suntan lotion, but a dry, natural and fresh one! I will probably end up using my bottle up during this summer.

dsmercoco

One of my most recently discovered favorites. It's soft, fresh musk, jasmine, the slightest pepper and heliotrope all floating on wisps of the most exquisite sandalwood. The hubs go nuts for this. Just beautiful for Spring and early Summer months.

amberbella

Love the way this smells on clothing, but not as much on my skin. Warm, creamy, and spicy in my clothes. Sort of almond playdough on my skin.

Edit: I’ve spent quite a bit more time with this fragrance and have come to quite like it. On initial spray I get pencil shavings....they’re sort of pretty pencil shavings, but still pencil shavings. Makes me wonder if maybe there’s cedar in this. The pencil smell doesn’t last terribly long though. It quickly calms to just a cozy scent. I don’t get beachy, I don’t even get coconut (which was the note that I initially tested it hoping fort). This fragrance has become one of the few I have that is an easy spray and go anywhere scent. It lasts long on me and wears close which is perfect for any situation.

This one is warm, sophisticated and womanly. I wouldn’t put this on anyone younger than 30. Maybe even 35.

AaronStar

Coconut, vanilla, musk, I'm getting this..

Ashalia

A very woody, coconut smell. This also lays as a spicy scent on me, which I do not like. I bought a miniature bottle as a blind buy on ebay, and I don't know if I'll ever use it again. Not for me.

shannonwheeler05

This is not one of my top favorites, but my husband always remarks about how good I smell when I wear it, and that makes me love it even more. I anticipated a summer fragrance, but this is one of the few that I find I keep our year-round. In heat I notice more the creamy sandalwood whereas in cold weather the spicy notes come to the front- pink and black pepper and the jasmine. The coconut is a very natural coconut, not sweet at all. I’m not noticing the citrus notes individually or the vanilla at all, but I’m sure they support the fragrance. This on me is primarily woody, and it comes off very similarly to Clean White Woods (on me, it’s almost an exact match). I think I prefer this fragrance in fall and winter, but it performs nicely in all weather, although for me, it wouldn’t feel like a spring fragrance. I also have Sensuous EDP which I like but which is much creamier and sweeter. Both have a unisex quality, which I rather enjoy.

Cess268

This is nice fresh scent sits close to skin. Reminds me of musk body sprays that I used to buy but a more mature and better put together formulation.

angel6

A lovely girl that work in the Estee Lauder section in a store in my town gave me the tester and was almost full, It' not a favourite of mine but it's alright, the note I notice immediately after apply is Honey and tones of it followed by coconut then I get the Jasmine and LOV, it's an easy perfume, I think my taste of perfumes changed every decade, I use to love fresh perfumes than I loved florals and now I love oriental and balsamic musk spices. Sensuous Nude is lovely but too tame for me now.

BlueFan

It is 1982. I'm on holiday in Kos with my first boyfriend. We hit the beach at 10am, he smothers me in Hawaiian Tropic factor 2, and we leave the beach at sunset. That is what this frag reminds me of. Coconut, coconut, and more coconut.

AnitaHendricks

The tingly pepper fits great with the warm, creamy coconut. Sandalwood and vanilla compliment it nicely. The musk is not too overwelming and I like how the floral and citrus notes compliment the others. Very sensual! It's a scent I would wear between summer and fall. There's a tropical warmth and a nice, woody base at the same time.

jansiri

I love this so much. I think this smells better on the skin than on paper! which is huge bonus for me. Such a comforting creamy coconut scent that will smell delicious all year around.

On my skin this smells very gourmand like coconut and chocolate biscuits but in a luxurious way.

Best thing about this is that it doesn't start off strong or sharp like most perfumes.Cant go wrong with this sexy scent!

I know a lot of reviews say this doesnt last but i applied on my skin and i smelled it on myself for 12+ hours. I thought it was a skin scent at this point until my partner told me that he can still smell it all across the room so maybe it is stronger than it seems.

Edit: Came here after 6 years to say that i recently purchased a bottle of this and i love it! Ever since smelling it for the first time i have been in love and have been on the hunt for a bottle since its sadly discontinued. I have tried so hard to find a scent close to this and i couldn't. The closest i came was santal vanille by 7 virtues. Anyway i randomly spotted this fragrance and it was the last bottle left and i purchased it straight away.

JuliaQueen

warm, powdery, creamy coconut. I really enjoy it. Too bad it doesn't last.

fililala

This is a nice one, but where's the coconut?

colorfulmess

It took me a while to come up with the words for this review. The problem I'm having is that Sensuous Nude doesn't spark my imagination; the best imagery I can muster is a cigar box with coconut scented candles that you might buy at a TJ Maxx or a discount department store. That's probably being a bit too harsh, perhaps, because I do like this perfume and I would buy a full bottle if the price was right.

I took this one camping with me at Yosemite and while it gave me a happy feeling I still felt like I was wearing perfume; it didn't give off the natural woody vibe that I was hoping for. After a while I realize that its a fragrance that I would rather smell in my house or on my clothes. Every time I put my hand to my wrist, I'm enjoying what I'm smelling, but its like I'm smelling someone else. It doesn't smell like "me." I am a sandalwood lover though and I can appreciate how this fragrance uses that note to the fullest in a feminine perfume, without hiding behind any florals.

Self-Propelling Fantasy

Such a perfect scent for lazy summer days. It smells woodsy, creamy and a little bit sweet. It is casual and relaxed, but still elegant and sophisticated. Sensual, without being in-your-face sexy. This fragrance can go with you just about anywhere! I like it best in the summertime - it really smells gorgeous and full in the hot weather. In the winter it smells very thin and woodsy to me (a bit like pencil shavings).
This is perfect for people who don't like the usual citrusy, fruity, or aquatic summer offerings.
Sillage is soft, making this ideal for the workplace. Longevity goes on for about 6 hours.
Not blind-buy safe, IMO, but it's easy enough to test at drug and department stores.

MixedTastes

I usually shy away from anything with coconut notes as it tends to be overpowering and sickly on my skin and I end up feeling that I smell of cheap suntan lotion and an-all-inclusive-bucket-of-Pina Colada!

But this is lovely...subtle, graceful, coconut-infused deliciousness. None of the notes overpower, in fact, so its woody but not TOO woody, sweet but not sickly, just the right level of powderiness.

Beautifully blended perfume and another EL winner for me.

EDIT: This is such a great autumnal fragrance! I went off this over the summer - the coconut and buttery/creamy aspect became nauseating in extreme hot weather. But I'm wearing this again for the first time in months on a crisp September day in London and it is beautiful. The initial stage is fresh citrus-vanilla with a lovely dry down of subtle Gourmand coconut and cosy sandalwood. Very nice.

UnearthlyApothecary

Sensuous Nude is the coconut sandal scent for me. The silage does not compare with Crystal Noir but CN is too sharp and the gardenia turns very soapy on me. This is sweet, creamy, woodsy heaven. Like I said, I wish it projected better but it's a beautiful comfort scent that's perfect for summer, if I want heavier there is always Sensuous or Sensuous Noir ;)

Suomineito

This coconut concoction is a summer must from my collection. This is a tropical fragrance without being sugary Escada version of the tropic but a bit more mature vision. Warm and beautiful creation full of sunshine and beachy vibe.

Cherry_Darling

Yes so gorgeous the coconut is very subtle it's sweet almost gourmand. But fresh too! Love this.

Virgoesque

@WEBLOFT: Boy do I know it! ;)

So I bought a roll-on sample from an e-bay seller and when it arrived I had the beginnings of a cold. ugh. It's been a few days now, my nose is working better and I just love this scent! Throughout the morning I was getting an occasional whiff of something yummy and realized it's ME! ha! I'm going to buy a full bottle and I'm just so happy that I have finally found a fragrance that I really truly love and I can wear at work! It's subtle, unpretentious and lovely. Perfect for spring and hopefully summer too.

WEBLOFT

@Virgoesque: Nothing in life truly is, Sweetie.

Perfume, men and the stock market come to mind.

But if you are into creamy, warm, clean, sweet, soapy, spicy and skin-like scents without that auntie floral-floral vibe - hell yes!

tiredstarlings

I wanted to love this, but it reads very 'baby powder' on me. I keep trying it to see if it'll grow on me, but it's definitely not a favorite of mine. My mom, however, loves it.

douxetepice

I love coconut, but I become wary when it is used in fragrances. Sensuous Nude contains coconut, however it is not the coconut of a tropical beach or cream pie. It is more the subdued scent of coconut carried on a tropical breeze, or the shreddings atop a confection.

That discreet coconut is quietly blended into the fragrance with all of the other softly sweet scents to produce a very pretty concoction that wears like second skin.

Creamy, warm and effortless, Sensuous Nude is the MLBB perfume of my wardrobe. This is a case, at least for me, where the flanker surpasses the original.

kitpup9

I like this fragrance for day it's pretty and fresh, but prefer the original Sensuous to both the Nude & Noir.

WEBLOFT

The Sensuous line is pretty unknown here in Germany and I am happy that I have found it.

After trying Sensuous as well as Sensuous Nude for a week now, I prefer the NUDE version, because it smells more youthful and more creamy to me.

Both of them linger close on my skin but only Sensuous Nude leaves a lasting impression. The soft and spicy sweetness feels like a warm blanket to me. I really want to leave it for a hot summer night though but I can't help but to want to smell it all the time at the moment. Plus: sandalwood has such an interesting aroma!

I used to be a safe Tommy Girl/Yves Rocher Naturelle/Joop! All about Eve/Chanel Chance Eau Vive - kinda gal and I am discovering warmer, woodsy scents now.

I want to "own" a new version of myself and I am still insecurely asking friends if they also like me with warm Sensuous Nude by Estée Lauder or musky Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. And they do. Which means my nose is a good guide and I am happy that I enjoy so much more than apple, citrus and tea scents.

Nuitdenoel

We all have smelled those perfumes that the first time trying are fantastic but, upon subsequent applications, they fail to please. I have tested Sensuous Nude at my local Palais Royale for almost a year, and each time, it pleases. I always feel that my skin makes woody fragrances too...something. Too masculine, too noticeably woody...just something, so I always hesitate with woods. In fact, I did not own a single wood note perfume, until today. I paid full retail price, y'all. Worth. The. Money.

The woods add a hint of maturity but they are tempered by the coconut. I have noticed that the coconut is not necessarily "Notice me! I'm coconut!" but works subtly in the conjunction with all the other elements to make it creamy and smooth. There are no harsh edges, as can sometimes be found with woods and ambers. The ambers are not sickly sweet, either.

This is a sweet perfume, as far as that goes, but it is no way gourmand. It is elegant and classic. I certainly feel I could wear this at the beach or as a summer fragrance, but I would like to see how it acts on a bitterly cold day. It is warm but not hot. One could also wear it to the office and be perfectly fine.If applied with a light hand, this should not bother any co workers or others. I plan on wearing it to church on Sunday.

The projection is small, it does stay closer to the skin, but the longevity is fantastic. I have looked for years for an Estée Lauder perfume that I could truly feel like I belonged to, and this is just perfect. Head and shoulders above others of this type.

UPDATE: So, I've been wearing this every day for about a week. The weather was a hot and humid (80F) and it smelled divine, never too hot or heavy. Today, the temperature dropped to 60F (Texas weather, what can you do?) and Sensuous Nude is all light musk and creamy sandalwood. Truly, this is my favorite Estée Lauder fragrance of all time, and I have the gamut. Perfectly wearable in all weather and all seasons.

UPDATE: I love this scent so much! Even my husband requests Iwear it...he said it's the sexiest fragrance I own. It has replaced my dear Aromatics Elixir and Tresor as my most worn. Creamy, warm, just beautiful. My ONLY complaint is this does not last as long as I would like for a perfume. I get about 4 solid hours on skin.

Mooniq

2 years ago I tried Sensuous Nude EdP and meehhh. Not for me at all. I tried it last week again - and wow.. what a beautiful scent it is. the coconut just melts into my skin and becomes absolutely wonderful. creamy, sexy and sensual. It was just one thing to do - to buy the largest bottle I could find..the mix of coconut, sandalwood, vanilla, musk and honey is to die for.

För 2 år sen provade jag Sensuous Nude och .. nääää, inget för mig alls. Provade den förra veckan igen och wow, vilken ljuvlig doft det är. Kokosnöten bara smälter in i huden och blir helt magisk. Krämig, sexig och sensuell. Det var bara att leta upp den största flaskan och slå till direkt. Mixen av kokosnöt, sandelträ, vanilj, musk och honung är otroligt.

kerion

Just got this a few weeks ago and I love it in the cool air! I find it a bit almond or nutty coconut. It's a beautiful and warm..a tad sweet but not in an edible way for sure lives up to the name. I wish it were longer lasting on me though, I barely smell it after 2 hours. Still I'll enjoy this as a day scent this summer.

SniffyLarue

As a major fan of Crystal Noir, I had to try this. So glad I took the chance. Blind buy gone right, yay! This is a light powdery Crystal Noir. I smell the pepper, the coconut, the powder, it's so fresh yet very feminine. The perfect perfume to put on after you bathe, right before you put on your pajamas. I've been wearing this at night before bed this winter, of coarse I live in Florida, so it hasn't been so cold, but it doesn't matter. I believe this fragrance is one for all seasons. I feel comforted almost when wearing this. I want to spray my bed linens with it. It's so lovely. I spritz this on in the morning sometimes too and make breakfast and I just love how it smells mixed with the morning breakfast smells, lol. This is a great one to treat yourself to.

MBB1111

I have been wearing this for a straight week and am enjoying it although I think I will like it better in the summer rather than in the middle of a New England winter, if it can withstand humidity.

On me, the standout note is coconut through and through without crossing over to the suntan lotion side at all, followed by lime fading in and out, and finally settling into a soft woody, slightly sweet scent. The dry-down is more "oily" than dry on me, as I prefer, and a bit musky. Being this beachy, I will reserve it more for summer.

Someone mentioned this is not a fragrance for a 20-something woman, but I would disagree. It is a pretty scent, youthful enough for your 20s (but not girly), and innocuous more than sensual as its name suggests. It reminds me of Victoria's Secret Sun-Kissed body spray, not in a bad way. But where VS is the little girl clomping around in her mother's high heels, Sensuous Nude is the grown-up, composed version.

The body lotion that came in the set is nice but heavy on coconut. I wouldn't wear it with the fragrance as I feel it might eclipse the other notes.

Sillage = 2 sprays and very little distance
Longevity = very good
Wear = day or night, office okay, effortless

Nuitdenoel

I really like Sensuous Nude! Over time, I have learned that woods really are not a note I like, but the coconut keeps it from veering into harshness. It is not a gourmand, however, which is perfectly fine with me. I think this is perfectly suitable for most seasons and just about every occasion. It isn't incredibly overpowering, as it becomes a skin scent within the first few hours. I think this is full bottle worthy.

ElleNell

Without doubt a real WOMANS perfume. Def for a mature, strong, confidant, classy woman. I don't really think this would be suited to young girls either in your teens or twenties. If you like warm, seductive, romantic perfumes this is for you. Quite woodsy, musky, strong but not sickly strong. Two words- SENUOUS, CLASSIC.

fihe

I've tried this at the store a couple of times. Warm, creamy, sweet fragrance, but not overly sweet at all. While it does have a coconut note, I actually think of it as smelling almost like a toasted marshmallow. Smells beautiful from start to finish, but I wouldn't buy it just because the sillage and longevity are not as good as I'd like, especially considering the price.

oprah.wong.1

After I try this . I think I'm a wood . Lol

AnnaT

This is a warm, powdery, woody, creamy, sweet (think vanilla) perfume.

The sandalwood coconut vanilla powder is present throught out. At first the bergamot and mandarin was present at the very start adding some sprinkle and lightnes. Then it is straight up sun lotion (but plesantly so). It is not as sun lotion-y as say Crystal Noir. It then retains some sun lotion-y feeling but powder gets stronger with sandalwood vanilla and also a hint of honey.

A comforting perfume with twists and turns. I think it is suitable for all season. It is 'round', no sudden sharpness or spice. Sillage is big at the very first start and quickly subsided to skin scent lasting about 4 hours.

laulaura

This is a nice smelling perfume.i find 'sensuous' to smell specific like fresh sheets on skin, feminine. This 'sensuous nude' having the coconut has been a little spoiled by it but i like it. The coconut smells so good and as well has a tropical vibe and light vanilla note wich makes it pleasant and delicious.
Both of them i think would make good layering scents.they have a neutral quality wich would add intensity or sweetness to scents.

theredpony.1

This is like the perfect nude lipstick ....something you can reach for without even thinking. I love it on its own or layered under a more floral fragrance. This will give that Eau Fresh ( of whatever brand ) a little depth!

dyaver

I like it a lot! It's a very warm, romantic and sensual fragrance. Delicious coconut and honey with a spicy pinch of pepper resting on a charming vanilla and woody base. Good for every season and every time of the day. Sillage is soft, a bit too soft. Also I wish it lasted longer on skin.

Moonsecret

Sensuous Nude is a dream come true. It is really the feeling of my own skin, but way more beautiful!!

It is divine. It is gorgeous. It is heavenly!!!

Everything about it is superb. It envelopes me in its embrace for hours and hours, making me feel like a sensuously beautiful Queen - the most beautiful woman in the world!

It is magic. I never, never want to be without it.

Angel Cat

This is very very beautiful. Very nude - soft, skin, intimate, loving.

I love Sensuous Nude. I feel very special, and privileged wearing it. I feel very beautiful. I feel in love all the time - wrapped in love.

I love Estée Lauder's perfumes. Every one I have, which have all been blind-buys, I adore. She can't go wrong for me. They're all so beautifully crafted - so perfect.

Pure Love

Oh what a lovely perfume! It's a perfect, beautifully blended masterpiece.
The coconut, for me is the best I have ever smelled! Not too strong or overwhelming, just softly supporting every other beautiful note. Everything is beautifully present, and all the notes float around, in and out and through the perfume all day. For me the sillage is very nice and enveloping, and also is strong enough for others to notice, but not be bothered by. Heaps of lovely compliments I get whenever I wear it.

The woods are so good, holding everything nicely earthed, and the flowers are divine. Beautiful musk, amber, vanilla and honey - and the citrus!! Not forgetting the lovely ground pepper touch, which I find very thrilling!

Beautiful bottle and colour, and I do 'feel' the nude/skin/softness is very much what it's about.

It suits me all the time, not matter the weather. I love it.

mmm777pisces

Gorgeous! It's fabulous. Every note is really prominent for me - right from the first spray, I can smell every note, beginning with coconut, bergamot, mandarine and pepper. The pepper is great! And the citrus is lovely and tangy, and the coconut is really light and fresh and soothing. Then the beautiful muguet and jasmine, and I do smell the honey, which is also light, and the lovely elegant musk. Gradually, the heliotrope and gorgeous woods, with a touch of vanilla and amber. The coconut is so nice. The citrus stays on and on. The flowers come and go. It's beautiful.

Lasts very well, and is lovely and strong.

A very very special perfume for me; I love it!

Lyss2016

I LOVE this perfume. I don't want to pick a signature scent (I like trying new ones too much!) but if I did, I'd pick this, hands down.

I'm someone who could never get into perfume when I was younger because I was too sensitive to scents. My mother bought me a huge bottle of Clinique Happy for my sixteenth birthday, and I used it once and then never again. Insta-headache.

In my late twenties, I was going through the perfume section of Dillards (something I used to do while breathing through my mouth) when the Estee Lauder lady caught me, and convinced me to try out their new sample of Pleasures Eau Fraiche. She also let me try out several other scents, including Sensuous Nude.

Even to my uneducated nose, it smelled beautiful, like rubbing coconut oil into my skin while lying on a tropical beach with spices floating through the air. I loved it so much, I gambled on the headache and asked her to spray my wrist. I loved it, and it was *just* soft enough that it didn't make my head hurt.

I ended up buying a roller ball, and then later a full bottle (the most I've ever bought of any perfume). It's wonderful. It doesn't really work year round IMO, it's far too summery, but that just makes it a thrill to pull out come May.

One more thing: I heard about people layering perfumes, and got curious enough to try it. Sensuous Nude layered with Givenchy Pi (edt for men) is INCREDIBLE. Give it a shot.

redskyatnight

Comes off very baby powdery to me, while still remaining mature and womanly.

Siv7Stars

I got nothing but coconut from this, which is all very well, but I expected more from it. And I don't really like coconut..

Phantosmia Bella

With a slight smell of coconut, this has some sort of creamy powdery feel to it- probably due to the musk note, but this is a mellow musk, with a tiny bit of floral as well.
It's sweet but not at all cloying, and the pepper note in the beginning is just brilliant, at least IMO.
This perfume has a very distinctive summer vibe. I was looking for a "beach scent", partner said it smelled like suntan lotion on my skin - mission accomplished!

IrisLily

A nice one to sleep in...soft, creamy, coconutty, lasts for hours

Madrona

What a fantastic scent this would be without the pink pepper. I have pink pepper listed in my least favorite notes because in most compositions, I cannot stand it. This is one of them. I can barely tell that there is coconut in it due to the aforementioned. I think I prefer the original Sensuous and would like to try Sensuous Noir.

kellymi

I echo the review below me (only wish I could be so eloquent with my descriptions!).

Dry, woody, and a dash of pepper at first. As it settles on my skin, the woody scent remains and is joined by a soapy vanilla -- a very behind the scenes sweetness.

I'll wear this in the summer, and into the beginning of fall. If you try it, let it develop on your skin some before you write it off.

Peachysugarbuns

Sensuous Nude is a dry, woody, lightly sweet, coconut fragrance on me. I like that the coconut smells mild and realistic and that it isn't paired with any cloying exotic florals or heaps of citrus - Sensuous Nude is modern and mature.

A mélange of fresh-ground peppercorns adds lift in the opening, and as Sensuous Nude dries down it is joined by light jasmine sweetness, a hint of vanilla and a hint of powder. The woods never falter and coconut is always present in the composition. I never detect the honey facet, nor does anything too sweet appear on my skin - this is woods, woods, woods on me. I like to wear this fragrance with crisp white shorts and sandals in the summertime.

Sensuous Nude has a short shelf life if it isn't kept in a cool, dark place, away from the sun. Put all you shizz in a closet or drawer, anyway! ;)

blake.lee

I smell zero coconut in this. I find it really odd it's always suggested when someone asks for a coconut scent. I literally can't find any coconut in this. To me, it's a very bland, powdery skin scent. It's not sweet to me either. Baby powder and pepper, that's about it. It's a more boring Cashmere Mist. Must be notes in this I can't smell since other people seem to think the coconut is actually prominent.

Coconutmusk

I don't know why this caught my eye, but Im sure glad it did. When out testing perfumes, ones eye is usually drawn to the flashy, pretty bottles or ones with a unique kitch flare. The juice inside is usually disappointing so the bottle is what sells it. Why my hand absentmindedly grabbed this unassuming no frills bottle,I'll never know.
If I were to judge it based on the opening alone, it would be ok, wearable but not purchase worthy. But the dry down is when this fragrance's magic turns this from ho hum to "I want to wrap myself in this and cuddle puppies".
It opens peppery and powdery- a bit like Si by Lolita Lempicka but a powdery version of that. Something in it also reminds me A LOT of Curve Crush. Milky, baby powder, cinnamon? Pepper. Its nice. It's warm. But it's kinda meh. After about 20 minutes it turns into a musky, creamy coconut. Still powdery but also buttery. The coconut in this reminds me of Virgin Coconut oil. Also like the kind of coconut in Versace Crystal Noir but without the spice. I can't get enough of it when it turns warm and cuddly. It lasts on my skin about 6-8 hours and it won't fill a room, but its not a skin scent either. I'm really glad I picked this one up and didn't sit around and debate it with myself. I can see this being a fast favorite.

Pastelstreets

Perfect summer perfume!
I would wear this to the beach or for a fun girls day out.
Coconut really stands out on this one.

Awater01

Having dowsed a tester card with this I can only conclude that I'm anomsic to whatever organic chemical they've used to imitate coconut. I can smell the real thing just fine, but any perfume that claims to have coconut, I get nothing, making this flat and boring to me. It's a shame because I really love the nior version.

plum

A month ago I blindly bought a bottle on sale. It was very cheap, but there was no tester so I decided to buy it anyway and find a tester elsewhere.
I completely forgotten about my purchase till today. I saw a tester but I was waering my perfume so decided to test in on paper only. I sniffed the initial spray and put the paper in my shopping bag. I found it really coconuty pleasant and thought it would be nice to add some fragrance to my newly bought cardigan (in this bag). I also accidently sprayed my fingers but found this fragrance pleasant enough and not discurbing.
I am home now and this perfumed piece of peper is just next to me. The only thing I can smell are coconut cookies I had many years ago and was sick after. They were my favourite cookies till that day. It wasn't their fault, I just got sick and since then my stomach is turning as soon as I can smell them. And here I have, coconut cookies in perfume...
Will try to test in one more time, on my skin. And if it's not working I will try to return my bottle.

vintage_scent

First off, I want to say this scent is perfectly suited to the color and style of the bottle...it's so lovely. I think Sensuous Nude is a perfect summer fragrance for Winter perfume lovers. Coconut takes front and center, but it is a dry powdery sensuous one to me thanks to the gorgeous sandalwood note. This is going to be a must have fragrance for me this summer...I love it! Every time I visit this beauty at the EL counter I fall in love even more. A beautiful feminine lady like coconut scent...I just wished it lasted a bit longer.

Oh my gosh this stuff is so addicting! Gorgeous and powdery dry coconut! I am going to purchase the body lotion and bath gel to make it last longer...but it is such a gorgeous skinscent...

Napsu

I just bought this. Without testing and only by the notes. First time I sprayed this on my wrist I thought: "Way too much for me!". But in half an hour I was ready to change my mind.
First I get bitter bergamot and mandarin orange but they disappear in few minutes and then the pepper takes the lead. Very strong peppery smell which is almost too much for me.
In an half an hour the pepper settles and coconut comes out with something sweet. That lasts quite long time and it's pretty enjoyable combo. Jasmine is there also and I can stand it somehow (normally I don't).
Drydown is gorgeous; heliotrope, vanilla and soft creamy feeling. All the time I can smell woodsy notes almost like lead pencil.
This is something I wouldn't buy if I tested in shop. The scent developes and turns in time more than I expected. Very grown up perfume for my taste. It's not fresh at all, it's warm and spicy and sharp and soft at the same time. On me this stays for a long time and it's pretty strong.
We will continue getting to know each other.

Neckromancer

I didn't smell coconut in this perfume until I looked up the notes. It's warm and dry like terracotta bricks. It's powdery and classy. Something a put together woman in a white sundress and a big hat would wear at an expensive resort. It reminds me of warm skin and honeymoon sex.

Helmi310

I'm man and I love this smell so much . Very unique and calm yet so sensual. Recommend this !

purpleturtle

Smells so good... But I want more. More sillage please. When something smells this lovely, I want to breathe it in. But that is going against the tone of this perfume. I am getting it has a "my skin, but better" vibe going. Any suggestions for something like this but twice as strong??! If you want light and gorgeous, here she is. Happy smelling! :)

cafe au lait

Woody? I don't think so. It smells powdery to me. Nice fragrance which I can enjoy to use but the silliage is so poor, hard to believe it's edp.

Renata tang

I like it so sweet, I feel like breath in sugar in my nose when I sniff it.

Quebeck

It's my signature fragrance. Very very good for me!!!! Little coconut, little woody notes. Perfect.

armacoonsum

I remember trying a vial-on-card of this years ago, concluding that it had that scary dark coconut thing that puts me off Crystal Noir, and dismissing it. Fast forward to last night, when hubs presented me with a 1 ounce bottle he had gotten for next-to-nothing. He covered the bottle and gave me a blind-spritz. "Take it back," I said, "It's nice, but it smells like Si Lolita and Oriflame Paradise and Kate Moss Vintage, and I have all of those". We agreed, so I asked to see the bottle. This is where things changed.
I worked for Estee Lauder for nearly five years, in the late 90's through early 00's, and I loved my time with them, and retain some brand loyalty. I know that, even if one of their fragrances may not call to me, it will be well-made, with projection for days and tenacious longevity. So, for $15, I would be crazy to send it back.
I'm happy I kept it, because with more wearing I've rediscovered the coconut note... although, gladly, it doesn't remind me a bit of Crystal Noir (was I hallucinating before?)... just sets the whole experience apart from the fragrances mentioned above.
I will agree with reviewers who have said that there is nothing "nude" about this. It definitely does smell put-together... but not too serious, either. I believe the pink pepper keeps it a tad playful, but this is definitely a grown, sexy, all-dressed-up lady perfume. Quite nice!

LisaMari

Its a very perfumey, synthetic coconut that tries too hard. It does have a nice muskiness to it, as a nude scent but then it gets ruined by florals and bergamot that is quite metallic, mature and just too 'dressed' to be called 'nude'. I would prefer a more natural milky coconut. Having said all that, I do like it..

oroszcindy

This smells just like powder to me. No coconut. Smelling like a baby is not really my thing.

Roxana D

I love this perfume! It reminds me of Crystal Noir (Versace), I find them very similar. I can recognize the coconut water and honey which make the fragrance very warm and pleasant. I really consider to buy it because it's persistence is decent too.

Chicagobelle

I think this perfume is underrated...it's a beautiful light scent that i find hard to describe. It's a safe scent therefore it's great for the workplace. I don't find this perfume to smell woody at all, I dont know where that note is in the fragrance. (Which is good because i do not like woody smells at all) I'm glad that I gave it a try.

hsheep

For me this perfume didn't work. It was much too light, I've had this issue with other lighter scents, I think my skin chemistry just evaporates them. I barely detect any notes, they're so very faint. There's something warm and sort of sandy in there, but I just can't seem to pick it up. The original Sensuous worked well for me, this one is very much it's whisper of a sister.

Melyche

I'm definitely in love with this. It was a little crush at first but now it's becoming more intense and powerful. I can't get enough of smelling this. Sweet powdery coconut. Smelling elegant, beautiful and feminine. I love how well the notes are blended. I'm not a fan of tropical and milky coconut scents. This is just different. I get vanilla and honey, besides the floral notes on the base. The second best coconut fragrance after Versace crystal noir.

carly.eakin

I love this perfume so much! I once had a friend wear it and I haven't forgotten about it since. I can't wait to get mine too! ^_^ The smell reminds me of walking into a fall forest, and in the distance you smell a hint of campfire. This scent is the perfect blend of clean but also smoky and mysterious. The woody notes gives it a sensual feeling, like the name. Love this scent.

b.a.denney

Pencil shavings. Straight up pencil shavings on me. I don't get any coconut, or amber, both of which I love. Also, no bergamot or musk, more notes I love. I now have a full bottle I can't wear. I've had a couple other perfumes that end up smelling of cedar or pencil shavings on me. Or maybe it's just my nose, and that note dominates everything else I smell.

Lovely bottle, but I wanted a summer type smell, and this is not it.

electricmind

I tested this on a paper strip today. I thought for sure there was honeysuckle and tuberose in this. Coconut? No way.

I'm going to have to try it on my skin because I actually liked it on the paper strip.

DragonflySparrow

Hmmm... I am a woody floral musk fanatic. My favorites are Serge Lutens Clair de Music and Jovan White Musk. But this was a big no for me. It has all the usual suspects that I gravitate toward, but there's this sour sunflower/ocean/plastic ring around it that makes this perfume really give me a headache. Not a fan.

Addict2Perfume

I blind bought Sensuous Nude by Estée Lauder since I loved the original Sensuous, but Nude is not at all what I was expecting. I can smell the pink pepper when I first spray it and I get a baby wipe/ pencil shaving scent that I really do not like, but when the scent finally starts to mellow I can smell the honey and sandalwood. For some reason when I smell this scent out of the bottle it smells minty to me and I do not get any coconut at all. However I love the musk note and the vanilla base which makes this an excellent skin scent since it is so light. I appreciate this scent for what it is and I certainly like it, but the original is still my favorite!

itra

It is just a like for me.On paper,it smells really good - the coconut, honey. On me,not that great. It just doesn't work with my body chemistry. Also, not the type of perfume that I will typically go for.I love floral, citrus, aquatic, clean and crisp fragrance. This is a coconutty, beachy fragrance that just goes rancid on my skin.Sillage is close to skin.Longevity is not great either. For the price paid, not worth it.I will finished my 50ml but not repurchase. If I want a coconut scent,I'll just get a body mist from Bath and Body Works.

Edit:To add to my review,I have the original Sensuous.I prefer the original. The original is really good.

starvega

It looks like I'm in the minority, but I get very little coconut here. This is powder and sandalwood all the way, and such a warm, cosy and cuddly smell - it's like the smell of a hug. The powder gives it strong 'make-up' associations for me. I think if you're expecting a tropical coconut this is not the one, but if you like woodsy, powdery, warm smells, with a hint of mild coconut this one is for you.

lilccj

if i needed to describe how love smells like-its sensuous nude!i don't smell coconut at all, in fact it is the only scent i ever smelled that i can not identify the dominant note. It stays close to skin, it is very feminine, sexy, sensuous and soft.Once you put it on the skin-you will want it to stay with you. To me it is the perfect perfume i will always have!

pauroj

i love this perfume just bought the 30ml today and i really feel this is the ultimate skin scent ever, i own escentric molecules 01 and narciso and trust me i adore narciso , but sensous nude is truly your skin but better.
love absolute love i don't smell the coconut in fact for me is just lovely smelling skin

FeelingRisky

Overall: 8.75/10
Here’s Why:
Sensuous: Absolutely. Nude: Sure, why not.
Airy, Creamy Coconut, Warm sensual sandalwood and milky musk.
Deceptively close to the skin.
This radiates about 3-6 ft from the body and is totally harmless for everyday wear.
It’s coconut done right, not cloying or artificial at all.
Easy to wear for men and women both, this is a light and long lasting crowd pleaser.
Thinking a little harder on it, im not sure there is much to compare this to in my current fragrance gallery, but to me, it sits closest to Tom Ford Santal Blush.
Wonderful Scent for all occasions, seasonally I would place this spring/summer.
Can’t go wrong here.

suzrwin

On me this smells like coconut water and musk--a soft beachy scent reminiscent of expensive suntan lotion on a body warming in the sun. Soft and pleasant. It is nice enough, but there are scents in the genre I like better, such as Guerlain's Terracotta le parfum.

LynnBarr

This is not at all what I was expecting from a Lauder fragrance. It is very soft, definitely a skin scent on me. I've been using and/or sampling Lauder perfumes since I was a little girl playing with my Mom's stash and every single one has always been bold, almost punching you in the face and daring you to ride out the dry-down... if you have the guts.

Sensuous Nude was a blind buy for me based on reviews here. I found a half-ounce bottle on clearance and thought I would try it out in my search for coconut fragrances for the summer. I'm getting no coconut here, just a soft, pleasant sweet skin scent with about 4 hours of life. Not bad... not spectacular... my coconut search continues. I will not be buying a large bottle but will use up my half-ouncer.

saintleegray

This is one of the few times the name has fit the fragrance for me. I don't get a whole lot of sandalwood in here, but it's very faintly in the background. Some smooth light coconut, some very light musk, this scent is the olfactory equivalent of candlelight if that makes any sense. Sits very close to the body, it doesn't leap out at the people around you. Classy, but still sexy. Reminds me a lot of the beach at sunset, dry and sandy with a touch of sweetness. I like it a lot, perfect to wear if you plan on being very close to another person without overwhelming them. Occasionally I layer it with versace crystal noir and the combination is intoxicating.

hellok

This definitely has similarities to Victoria's Secret Heavenly. I can smell how they're very similar, but this one has a spicy edge that Heavenly doesn't.

This fragrance is mostly a peppery, tropical flower, mixed with coconut. It's very summery. Mostly a skin scent on me. The first few minutes radiate to arm's length, but then it dies down tremendously such that only a person giving me a hug would be able to smell it.

I've worn it a few times now and I can definitely smell the sandalwood. It's a very "warm" scent that reminds me of sunshine, if that makes sense.

angelapaul

Tested 15.02.2015, and then again 28.02.2015. I liked this immediately on spritzing - spicy citrus, perfect! I was happy with the dry down too. It developed into a lovely sweet-creamy musky flower, reminding me a lot of Kenzo Amour. Love the warm musky sweet finish, mmmmm. Very calming, soothing, warm. This would be lovely for every day, and I would be happy to own it. Unfortunately, right at this time I have an empty bottle of Kenzo Amour, and I would re-buy Amour before investing in this. Maybe one day.

andreaszabo

On me this is a pretty soft scent. The sharper citrus notes last only a few minutes then it's primarily a powdery coconut, but soft and pretty. A wafting piña colada.
I can see wearing it in warmer, summery, beachy times and as an alternative to sharp water scents. I like the warm, sweet delicacy of this one. It definately has the warmer vanilla, coconut, musk notes. It's not too sweet though. It's a nice feminine, not too racy, nor goody two shoes either.

Mellyhelly

I tried this a few times both on paper and on my skin.
I was looking for sandalwood, but this is a very safe sandalwood if any.
The perfume is immediately attractive, happy, feminine and cuddling.
This is a perfume that can be worn with no effort, simply to smell nice and pretty in a very modern and sweet way.
It is sweet, indeed. Almost too much for my likes, but it never bangs on your head like so many sugary scents.
There is something in this scent that kept me captivated for the whole afternoon and didn't know why. It's pleasant yes, but could not point out what was especially attractive, since the whole scent after a while on skin takes that known cosmetic vibe, like entering a mainstream perfume shop.
Seeing the notes I know: honey. It seems that I lately am attracted by perfumes that have honey/beeswax, when for years I loathed it.
All in all this is a very pleasant and light scent with a sweet touch and some woody not harsh notes, which I suspect are given more by coconut rather than sandalwood.
A little generic, but nice and an easy crowd-pleaser.
Anyway the price is not fair for what you get.

resio

Has that peppery floral opening that matches what I think of when I think "perfume" and dries down to the smell of lotion and makeup. I can really smell the citruses, powdery/musky woods, and a little amber. The coconut isn't too prominent on me, but this is a light scent after all. Casual and sort of addicting.

kaspenchen

I didn't hate or love this perfume. It smells nice, however. On me, it smells mostly like coconut with woody notes. There is also a hint of powder.

tittertat

beritskagen I love your review--yes, to me it smells like a fairy godmother for Cinderella:)

beritskagen

To me this one smells kind of like…kindness. Or care. It is a soft sweet woody scent. Not like eatable or sugary, more like clean sweet skin. Now it has got a kind of babyskin/ babywhipe vibe, but also it’s got a very feminine and floral woddyness intertwined with that. So to me the mix creates a caring-person kind of smell. It makes you smell kind of like a family -or socially oriented person...

It's so smooth that I don’t want to pick it apart to much by describing it by notes. I just want to feel the feeling it creates. But the sandalwood/coconut combo gives the clearest direction for what kind of fragrance this is. It truly is a clear resemblance to bronze goddess by Estee Lauder. But I find Nude to be a bit simpler, and less unisex than BG. Nude is also a little bit similar to Lolita Lempicka Elle L'aime, but Sensuous Nude is smoother and seems to be more clearly based around the theme of sandalwood, and LL in comparison has got a less skin, more lime/cocktail- direction.

I think Nude becomes kind of personal, because on skin you don't really know where the person ends and the fragrance starts. It's not strong or demanding attention, it just kind of lingers close to skin and makes you feel a little bit charmed by it.

MadeiraD

Maybe it's because I hate coconut (smells rancid on my skin) but I do not like this one bit, it smells like something fruity/milky that's gone a bit off mingled with sweat to me.

It's sweet, but it's like the sweetness of something decaying in the summer sun.

kaejuntun

I think the "tropical" accord listed here is misleading, because at least to me there's nothing tropical about Sensuous Nude. In the opening I get a good dose of pepper blending with a warm vanilla and sandalwood, with the coconut weaving in and out. I am crazy about the beginning accords - I think that peppery nuance is interesting and slightly intoxicating. The drydown is very much a skin scent, warm and natural and sensual. With the exception of the first ten minutes or so there are no sharp edges at all - makes me think of silk on skin, soft touches, intimacy... It's really very lovely. It's a good day scent, but can also be great for those affectionate moments spent with a significant other.

tittertat

This is a very light scent that is similar to Skin Musk but without the sharpness. Its not overly sweet which is nice because almost all the perfumes these days are candy bombs. I usually have problems with sandalwood but in the EDT version its very subdued. I have tried the eau de perfume which lasts a bit longer but I prefer the EDT. I also like pink pepper in small amounts for some reason. It does remind me of Cashmere Mist but more Skin Musk than anything else.

the_new_esta

This is kind of just Sensuous with coconut on me, but it's a really nice blend! I have smelt this scent before, just need more time to remember what it is. Thinking maybe YSL manifesto, or a sweeter D&G pour femme.

Ursa Mater

I got the mini as a blind buy because I'd heard good things and it was very inexpensive. I had a few trepidations as I am not really a coconutty tropical lover, but I'm glad I made this purchase. The coconut is light-handed and blends with the light musks beautifully, the overall effect is somewhat beachy and summery but not aggressively so; the sandalwood and vanilla warmth in this makes me perfectly happy wearing this on a casual, cloudy autumn day. This perfume is creamy, pretty, effortless. Someone mentioned that it was great for a day when you want people to notice you smell good without thinking you're wearing capital P perfume, and I concur. Sensuous Nude shimmers just above the skin, but has good longevity on me. I often associate perfumes with specific colors in my mind's eye, and to me this is a rather lovely, understated taupe. It's certainly a departure from Estee Lauder's bolder classics, but this has it's place, too.

QueenieJo

One of my faves! Was leery of trying any Estee Lauder fragrances due to the overkill of women wearing Pleasures and that horrible Youth Dew. But this was a nice surprise.
I honestly don't get any coconut smell, at least not on me. This comes out as a soft, woody/powdery smell with just a hint of vanilla. Soft, but probably more of an evening scent than every day work wear.

VieuxCarre

This is my summer spray, why? Because its a very feminine light with a creamy whisper that last more than 3 hours

PurestJade

I've found my new signature fragrance, and I'm angry I didn't wear this sooner! This is the sexiest fragrance. Very sensual, soft, feminine, and sexy. It goes incredibly well with my body chemistry, and I have yet to smell this on anyone else. I didn't like the original, so I didn't think I'd like this one.

Initial spray, it's sweet and tricks you into thinking it will be heavy, but it isn't. It has great longevity and good/moderate sillage. I get no spiciness at all in this fragrance. On me, it's all creamy, musks, soft honey, delicious coconut, a dash of orange, and smooth florals. I am in love with this fragrance, and have bought several bottles up. I also told my boyfriend this better be one of my Christmas gifts.

Very mature (but not "old ladyish), elegant... Like fine pearls and silks in a bottle. I adore this so much. I think this is called "nude," because this fragrance may help you and your paramour end up just so!

EDIT: The scent smells differently each day, but in a good way! The scent varies with weather, and with where it is applied (on the body).

In cold weather, the alcohol smell is quite strong for a few minutes, but it fades quickly. After that, I get A LOT of the spice of the black pepper and the crispness of the citrus in the first hour or so of wearing Sensuous nude. It's *almost* sharp for several minutes after first spritz. Almost. After about 20-30 minutes, it turns creamy again, but the citrus is still present. This is a big difference from how this develops on my skin in warm weather.

Just like it smells spicier and more 'citrusy' on cool days, it develops the same when applied to more cool parts of the body--like a wrist versus the inner bend of the arm. Coconut is dominant during the mid-life to end of the fragrance in all types of weather.

Togiii

A nice warm scent. I mostly like somewhat crisp perfumes therefore it is not my favourite. The longevity is not very well on me.

Dara813

I got a sample of this with my last two purchases of foundation from Estee Lauder. Being that I'm not a fan of the original Sensuous or Sensuous Noir; I was not optimistic. However, I used up each of the samples and can't seem to get the smell out of my head. The mix of coconut, sandalwood, vanilla, and honey are just so perfect. It is much softer and more feminine than the original Sensuous. It's very light but still maintains a fresh, warm quality. I finally decided to order the full-sized EDP, as I agree with many of the other reviews - it is great for every day use and could be used all year round. I'm a sucker for sandalwood and this is a very nice rendition of it.

susan1326

The perfect scent to wear if you know you're going to be in close contact with people, as in a long car trip, public transport, plane flights, etc. Beautiful, relaxed and yet elegant, you can't go wrong with it. It's the classic white go-to shirt for your fragrance wardrobe.

chrisndema

Very nice, safe perfume, i don't think this can offend anyone. Its such a comforting, pleasureable scent for all of 5 minutes!!! If this had better longevity i would consider buying a full bottle.....as it is...soz!!

lcommisso

Based on other's reviews, I think my nose is broken. I smell coconut at the tail end of dry down, and I really have to inhale to get it. I certainly don't smell spice. I, for the most part, smell fancy makeup. I think the name is a misnomer, as "nude" is appropriate since this doesn’t smell like much and is non-offensive. Sensuous, no. I would (and am) wear this to work.

ScarlettX

Nice sweet and spicy fragrance. I don't know exactly why it's called Nude, because I don't think this is how skin should smell.
Coconut, honey, amber and sandalwood are very dominant.
I like how warm and creamy it is.
Feminine and sensuous!

Kat_French

I really love this for the first half hour and after that it's just powdery. But the first spray is so goooooood! Soft, creamy, coconut vanilla. Wish it lasted longer!

Andorsia

This is really a comforting scent. So gentle it's fragile. It starts out with a baby powder type feel with soft, almost indetectable flower accents. It dries down to be really close to the skin and so soft it was like I could almost touch the softness. Extraordinary.

smalltownbeatnik

I had this perfume on earlier today at a frozen yogurt shop and a little boy who was probably 5 or 6 came up and told me, "You smell so goooood." I had been wearing it at least 4 hours and could barely smell it on myself anymore. His dad blushed and hurried his son away. I wonder if he thought the same thing. Dad was kind of cute.

blue_belle

This is one case where I really like a perfume--maybe even verging on love--but I just wouldn't buy it because of the projection. The vanilla, coconut, honey, and sandalwood are a wonderful mix that blend with my chemistry perfectly but it was so soft I was reminded of lotion more than perfume. There's almost no sillage to this at all. It is a great smell, and reminds me of a warm afternoon on a beach somewhere, but I like my perfumes with at least a little more oomph than this.

Nil3

One of the few perfumes that you can wear all year long.

A beauty! The jasmine, amber and honey give it a sexy warm vibe. Thats when the heliotrope and bergamot gently walk in only to be part of the warmer days of the year. The coconut is the party crasher of course! Like in the movie 'The wedding crashers' you can only smile at the coconut. A star so diffcult to resist. Nothing vulgar or harsh.

And the pepper notes? Dont get me started on the pepper notes. Wherever you see pepper notes you see Glory!

I feel charming.......:)

LadyMaverick

It is a wonderful scent. It is fluffy, soft, silky, waxy. Coconut works very well with woody notes. It is almost like smelling a new box of proper, old style, wooden colour pencils. Where you can smell not only the wood but the different scents of colours as well. It is a very comforting scent

For me this perfume works better in summer. Heat makes coconut stand out.

ladenu

This is such a soft parfume. To me it smells like coconut and vanilla :)

dioraddictfan

I have both the EDT and EDP. Both are very similar. Same scent really just a different concentration. I find the EDP still doesn't last that long though. It's a nice beachy scent, very light and great in the summer or when it's warmer out. Very much a skin scent.

bridgette

Nice. Smells like the beach and vanilla. Love it. Great beachy skin smell. It smells great start to finish.

SuperPookie

I personally couldn't smell coconut or anything tropical at all.To me the most predominant note was powder followed by a sweet dessert scent. On me it had faded in a bit over an hour. Basically this is inoffensive but boring .I didn't really hate it even though I'm not a fan of sweet smells (in perfume lol) but I wouldn't wear it.

jessbug

Wow, today this went from a LIKE to a LOVE for me!

In colder weather Sensuous Nude is a rather aloof scent on me. The main player is this nondescript woodsy note; I interpret it as a mix of 'blond woods'. Slightly powdery, with a very soft hint of coconut in the background. It was nice, but it felt like it was lacking personality. I didn't reach for it very often.

Today it's 27 degrees Celsius outside, and I decided to try Sensuous Nude again. WOW! The woodsy notes now take a background role and this lovely, musky (but not dusty!) coconut is the star. I finally recognize a bit of the original Sensuous in here now too, although Sensuous Nude is still by far the most different of the three Sensuous perfumes.

Although this is a coconut perfume, I don't think it's very gourmand at all. Neither is it cheap smelling. It's a perfume-y and complex coconut scent that would smell perfect on gleaming bronze skin. Unfortunately for me, I'm super pale and pasty, haha. But I'm still going to wear Sensuous Nude whenever the weather heats up, so I can enjoy this classy coconut dream :D

Sillage is quite moderate on me, and longevity is about 4-5 hours.

Musky4

Unfortunately Sensuous Nude isn't sweet, creamy, coconutty or exotic on me at all. All I get is a very boring, powdery, musky floral. For a beachy summer scent, I'd choose Bronze Goddess over this. Very disappointing and easily forgettable.

This is all sweet, creamy coconut and musk to me. I don't usually like the scent of coconut, something about it often feels terribly trite to me, but in Sensuous Nude it's just lovely. It gives the fragrance a light, beachy vibe, while the musk warms it up and keeps it out of sunblock and pina colada territory. Though I'm not sure I love it, I have to say it's a perfect warm skin scent for summer, smooth and warm like sun-baked limbs, without being stifling.

It's quite soft and close-wearing, so it's a good scent for days when you want people to notice that you smell good without really noticing that you're wearing perfume. Although not what I'd describe as an overtly sexy scent, its easy warmth makes it a good match for casually sexy looks; sultry in the way that lip stains and sloppy buns are, Sensuous Nude would be perfect to wear when you just want to let your bikini do all the talking.

i had read a review that said this was the best recent estee lauder scent(s) (the whole sensuous collection) so i got a sample pack of all three!

this smells like a citrusy coconut scent to me with maybe a soft feminine musk added. in all honesty i realized it smells like a softer version of BBW's coconut lime verbena or a fizzy beachy drink. i let it fade for about 10-20 minutes and it still smells like coconut lime verbena on me, but perhaps with a softer lime. a very nice summer scent, definitely, though i will probably give this to my mom because she loves CLV!

Pepperflower

Nude is my favorite from the whole variety of Sensuous perfumes. Im drawn to beach-like, warm scents. This is also softer than the others. It opens up with pink pepper and citrus bergamot notes. Then comes the musk with a tinge of coconut at the end. I like to apply this in warmer weather and then I really smell warm smooth woods(sandalwood), flowers, and powdery notes as well and coconuts still lingering in the distance.

I like to think of this perfume as "a memory of the beach" This to me, IS a beach/summer perfume, but not in your face coconut screaming, tiare flowers flowing around and obnoxious sunscreen. This perfume is as if you can see the coast or beach, but its far away. Sensuous Nude is just a touch of the beach, a memory... Another way This perfume is like to me is leaving the beach or a warm vacation. Its time to go back now, and you get the last glimpse of the beach before its time to go, we say goodbye. Kind of sad, but beautiful.

One of my favorite perfumes to wear summer time and anytime.

To me this is far more sensuous than the original Sensuous. The sandalwood, coconut, musk and vanilla create a beautiful creamy mix that blends amazingly with some soapy florals.

I tend to notice a lipstick note which creates a very feminine and close perfume which I am lucky to be around when my girlfriend wears it!

Schnuppernase

A really nice, creamy and musky coconut scent that is easy to wear. It feels very comforting to me! I can imagine wearing it in summer while watching the sun go down... It has enough spice to make it interesting.

I don't think it is similar to the original Sensuous, it's more about creamy coconut and that tropical, easy-going feeling. I really like it! :)
