An awful shame the longevity is so low, because it's a beautiful scent, the ginger is very present and the musk and the wood notes are there only to give a tone of sweetness and "maturity".

It's fresh and citrusy and completely unisex, somebody said you need to overspray, but more than that I think you need to re-apply... a couple of times through the day!

Korba

Amazing scent! Not the most unique but also not the most basic, an old school take on fragrances like Begamask.

Definitely not a loud fragrance, more of a skin scent, however if u spray a bit more it lasts a solid 5-6 hours (the price makes it possible to overspray). Don’t see how people say it only lasts an hour, probably depends on skin.

Femkedevos

This just makes me happy… it’s fresh but somehow remains grounded in a warm base… I would understand when people associate this with cleaning products because it does have that kind of pure citrus explosion vibe you might find in high end concentrated cleaning products ..but personally I don’t think that’s a bad thing… citrus is just uplifting and makes me happy… I don’t get much of the ginger.:. Just a bit of the cardamom and lots of the pretty clean musk on the drydown… I’m usually not the biggest fan of clean musks (they remind me of laundry detergent) but this one is somehow nice and fresh and lovely …I will be overspraying this all summer

blondie2004

The scent is very fresh and summery! "Bergamote Calabria" fits perfectly. I do have two problems though: It doesn't last very long, at least not on the skin (in clothes it does) and because of that I had to spray so much that my skin got very sensitive :/

hrhalexandru6

This is such a lovely fragrance. Even if it has an intimate sillage, it's definitely one of those scents you'd reach out to on a bright and sunny spring or summer morning and/or afternoon. Morning walks for morning coffee on a Sunday, this is how I'd assess the adequacy of Bergamote Calabria. Can't wait to get my hands on this magic potion.

qianqian

The opening is quite bergamotty but the drydown becomes bland and a bit spicy. Much less attractive than Pamplelune in the same series. I'm glad I only got a 10ml at a discounted price. I'll go for Pamplelune for a FB, not this one.

sjfb

Tremendously overpriced but I think the scent is absolutely beautiful - bergamot is a signature for Guerlain so they really know how to absolutely nail it in a perfume - sharp on the opening, mouth-wateringly sweet (I don’t usually like very sweet fragrances!) and refreshing in the dry down, kinda like a ginger lemonade. I just wish it was stronger: OK for EDT though, 3-4 hours, and it sticks to clothes very well!
I got this on sale and used a discount and managed to get it for £53 which still feels very steep for something that doesn’t last that long (I chose to put that care aside purely because I love the basic scent) This is best in summer if you’re someone who likes to vary their scent by season.

subberry

As a bergamot lover this really knocked me off my feet upon first smell. Gorgeous, regal, rich and fresh. I couldn't stop smelling the scent strip for hours. It is literally my dream perfume (again, i adore bergamot). I don't mind that it's an intimate skin perfume since i don't like walking around like a perfume bottle and prefer a scent that only people who come near me can smell. Another plus is that the staying power is really good for an EDT in the citrus family. Very suitable for day wear at work or school or meeting with friends. I would wear it any season as a bergamot fanatic, but i guess for most people it's mainly a spring/summer perfume which can also perform well in autumn.

thiagovidotto

A happy scent!

LaMiaRosa

I like bergamot but this is not for me. It smells harsh and chemical, like cleaning products.

Jjbitbind

Nice and bergamot-y , but not linear. It changes from a sharp fresh bergamot to a nice smooth citrusy cozy warmth. Has the same cozy mouth-watering effect as the hermes un jardin a cythere.

brokesta911

Guerlain Bergamote Calabria (2017) - spiced Bergamot - #thierrywasser and #delphinejelk could have made a straight-forward Bergamot akin to Ellena’s Bergamot from Different company but creates a guerlain-esque twist to it. Starts with Bergamot mixed with Petit Grain. This part is my favorite as it showcases good quality fruit oils: smoky, woody, citrusy. As it develops, Ginger, Green leaf notes, and Cardamom come forward. White musks and amber creates both depth and a beautiful sillage. Perfect on a summer day.

grapefruit352

Smells like a lemon juice. Longevity is somewhat little.

Sboss

Gorgeous perfume! But that lovely citrus fresh opening disappears within 2 minutes to a soft and gentle drydown that I can barely smell. Zero longevity, zero sillage.
However, the drydown is a mix of barely-there citrusy bergamot with a light veil of ginger and a touchhh of cardamom, although if you didn’t tell me the notes I wouldn’t have guessed ginger or cardamom!
The bergamot here is so pleasing and wearable. This perfume reminds me of something I used to wear in my childhood…

Is it an I-can’t-and-won’t-live-without-it-desperately-need-it perfume for me? No.

Is it an I-got-some-extra-cash-to-spend-on-something-unnecessary perfume? No. There are more unique creations out there for an adventurous splurge.

Is it FB worthy for the price? No, because it dissipates as quickly as you arrive into its experience.

Is it a lovely perfume nonetheless? Yes. It’s a safe blind buy. Definitely a gorgeous fresh citrus perfume for its 5 minute lifespan.

Raul Claudiu

The opening is so juicy, sweet and natural smelling it’s hard to stop myself from wanting to drink it 😆.

Lotte_Liese

I'm on a roll testing fragrances from the aqua allegoria line and I think I've found my favourite. Bergamot, ginger and woody notes- a linear combination but one that makes me smile.

rebus_hagrid

Great fresh summer scent, but dries down quite quickly to pretty much the exact same scent as the drydown of Chanel No.5 L'Eau! I love L'Eau, but was looking for something that stayed a little more summery for longer.

melleners

This is a lovely citrus scent, but doesn't have any lasting power, as others have stated. It's unfortunate because it really does smell yummy.

Annybear

"Confident, strong, effective boss lady", was the feedback that I've received when I sampled this and wore it back to the office.

suzanne_ronald

COLD & PULPY Bergamot with WHITE MUSK finish. Opens with a burst of multi-faceted bergamot with lime, lemon, bitter, fresh & sour nuances, that transitions into a heart of spicy ginger, all resting on a white musk base with woody tones. While this is predominantly a cold citrus fragrance, however a few hours in to the drydown and it transforms to a sweet white musk with reminders CK One. Moderate projection with better than expected longevity.

Contrast to Gatsby 22 Ormonde Jayne:
These are different, but there are similarities with bergamot over white musk. BC is much more citrus forward which carries longer into the drydown, and is predominantly a s citrus scent, while G22 is predominantly a white musk scent imo. Both end up at the finish line smelling like CK One Calvin Klein.

Contrast to CK One Calvin Klein:
It's hard to compare anything to CK One, as it's instantly recognizable, and these are different, but there is a similar soft, sweet musky drydowns. BC is more citrus forward, and outperforms CK One's light performance.

Contrast to White Citrus Bath & Body Works:
These are different, but there is a similar cold citrus vibe in the opening. WC isn't as complex. BC outperforms.

Overall: Above average performance for a citrus scent, with beautiful, unisex scent profile. This is the perfect scent to wear on a hot & humid day. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

kitkat_69

I tested this in store and wore it for a couple hours. The initial scent is ok, very lemony and reminds me of cleaner. The dry down however smells sweet and chemically to me. Not very wearable.

LMBelvi

Too short-lived, but what a pleasure while it lasts!

Tee

cologney fresh with a hint of sweet , warm spices. perfect for a hot, humid summer day!
bergamot game is strong in the opening, then it introduces more sweet, spicy ginger and cardamom. surprisingly, i got a little bit of woods in the end, which is a very nice touch in my opinion.
very nice cologne with a twist!

Liz70

This will be my Spring/Summer fragrance, hands down. It opens with juicy, fresh orange/lemon/citrus and then dries down with a fainter bergamont but a slightly woody and cardamom dry down. Sillage and longevity are decent- half a day I would say and perfect for office wear. Also, regardless of the citrus vibe, this is not very sweet at all, which I love- I detest sugary, overly feminine fragrances. As a 50 year old professional woman, I no longer want to smell 21 and frankly shouldn't. This fits the bill very nicely. Absolutely gorgeous, sophisticated and timeless.

ggdan

Starts out kind of sharp, very zesty and tart with the ginger and bergamot combo. As it dries down, it becomes softer and spicier, with the musk and woody notes pulling through, quite warm and sensual. Unisex but masculine-leaning in my opinion. Longevity is decent but it's mostly a skin scent.

pjspaceshit

Sweet, citrussy, herbacious, spicy - this one has it all! I love me a good freshie and this is definitely one of them. But it's not just a fresh scent, what makes is so good and almost mouth watering is the cobination of fresh sweetness and spiciness. Can't wait to wear this in the summer!

laramharam

to me the previous formulation (the bottle with the green font) smells better. this new reformula lacks the soft drydown.

AshBud

Bergamot is in full force, with a lemon zestiness. Its green spicy but not too sharp that you turn your nose up at it. Great unisex fragrance and reminds me a lot of Aqua Di Parma Mirto Di Panarea, just without the juniper.

Bear Claws

Love this stuff, its Unisex - right in the middle, very citrusy start to finish, has subtle sweetness that hits just the right level, sunny vibes, can pick up all notes listed, radiates some spices and musk. Acqua Di Parma's release feels more raw and sour bergamot - very Italian, Guerlain is slightly sweet and spicy, both are great just the matter of the vibe preference.

The Wolf

First impression: explosion of bergamot. Like being hit in the face with a water balloon filled with perfectly ripe but also a little unripe and tart citrus juice. I love it and wanted it immediately. As it dries down it gets more ginger and petigrain which elevates the citrus. It becomes a bit spicy with a clean musk. I'm almost out of Acqu Di Parma Bergamotto di Calabria, and I was considering replacing it with this when spring arrives. I'm no longer considering it, it's going to happen. Love this stuff.

Scent 9.5/10
Performance 4/10

Edit: I couldn't wait until spring, I bought a bottle in winter.

h149

The opening is loud, hit-you-over-the-head citrus, but as it dries down and mellows out and merges with the skin, it develops a smell that reminds me of rich men. Like I’m in a designer store picking out a sophisticated leather item for the most discerning gentleman in my life. Not that it smells leathery or anything like that, but for me this scent is strongly associated with men’s clothes and accessories. I find it leaning masculine, like suits and fresh bills; I would imagine it being perfectly suited to a metrosexual guy.

Cherry08

This is a clever composition. Firstly if you’re like me and enjoy citrus fragrances the opening is heavenly, but it’s not a generic lemon air freshener type scent that is quite prominent in citrus forward fragrances. Then as it dries down the citrus inevitably starts to fade away but the ginger and cardamom keeps the fragrance zingy and fresh. The musk note provides a moderate longevity and smooths it out. Down the middle unisex and excellent for layering or stand alone.

Lom

In a strange way this really reminds me of Secretions Magnifiques... Like a light, wearable version of that monster.

jasonritchie

I love this one. Bought it due to the comparisons to MM's Under the Lemon Trees, which is another favorite of mine, and while I don't think think they are actually very similar (Lemon Trees is a sweeter, less pithy citrus) if you like that one, you'll probably like this too. Where that fragrance is a warm tea with lemon/lime and honey, this one a more spicy-citrus musk. The bergamot here has a citrus-peel zest and sparkle, which is complimented by the spices peeking through--a bit of ginger, the cardamom to my nose is less pronounced. The dry-down with this is a lovely musky that stays close to the skin. It's unisex, inoffensive, classy, fresh, and if you like your citruses to be effervescent and bubbly, and this is likely to hit the spot. Probably not for folks looking for beast-mode performance (but if you are, none of the Aqua Allegoria line is likely to scratch that itch for you). I'm personally not someone who wants to smell like something all day long and frighten the neighbors with my fragrance's nuclear projection, so I'm happy to re-apply or change things up later in the day.

Lili1105

I finally have it and I'm happy! Love at first smell! Finally, a citrus like I've always imagined.. A wonderful juicy refreshing bergamot, without any hint of artificiality, or even worse toilet freshener. Bergamot, which "slapped" me so much that I was salivating :D Yum! I want to eat the bottle lol, no matter how stupid it sounds, but I eat lemons at home just like that, so you can understand my deviation. :D Anyway, in my opinion, longetivity is quite good for a citrus EDT, which we know that citruses are not very persistent and develops into a pleasant warm citrus-woody scent where it gets a little sweeter and I can smell a very gentle whiff of green tea.. In this form and at this stage, I quite reminiscent of Priscilla Presley Indian Summer. They really have something in common, although Priscilla is much sweeter, but still they are a bit like distant cousins.. So a double win for me :))

Cherry_Darling

I'm really loving this. Super zingy zesty citrussy. This is the kind of citrus oomph I need, maybe I need to stick to citrus perfumes with ginger in it. I can see why some may say car freshner because it's very punchy, but I personally love this aspect of it. On the cheaper scale it is similar to Cheap Chic Moschino, but of course with better quality notes. I really like this, it's a contender for my next summer citrus purchase.

Since Habit Rouge l'Instinct was not what I hoped, I needed something other Guerlain. Found this one! Really delicious, refreshing but with a warm base making it not too sharp. Very wearable for men as well, perfectly unisex. I tried lots of citrus fragrances but his one amazes me. Not one dimensional, and you will get lovely wisps later in the day when you don't expect it anymore, very impressed! Next on my list: Nerolia Vetiver and Herbes Troublantes if I dare to afford it :D

derby2169

Calabrian bergamot is a note I am familiar with because of how common the fruit itself is in southern Italy where I stayed at for several years. Coincidental I also recently encountered the very realistic Dior Homme Cologne, which I actually bought over this one after sampling them side to side.

Bergamot in general has an interesting contrast between a tart sparkly component and a semi bitter aromatic component going on, actually it is a wonderful smelling citrus fruit on its own, although unfortunately not really edible, unless processed.
In this case the intrinsic ginger-y aromatic element of then note is focused on, pushing it in an old warm and quite sweet direction, kind of like a 50 50 mix of sprite and ginger ale.
To my nose this completely sacrifices the bright almost transparent freshness, which is what you find in Dior Homme Cologne.
All in all, it's a matter of preference, and very interesting to see how different perfumers interpret the same note.

ElleZ

Wow, this is so well blended!

Normally I wait until I’ve tried a fragrance several times and in different temperatures etc. etc. before writing a review, but since I tried this only yesterday I am already hooked.

I can see the resemblance to AdP Bergamotto and MM Under the Lemon Trees only in the first five seconds or so in the opening. The citrusy bitterness is similar, but soon the ginger and cardamom here warms and sweetens the citrus, and it is just so gorgeous.

As usual with the Aqua Allegoria line, the longevity leaves a lot to be desired, still the scent is so well made I really don’t mind much. Also, by now we all know that, so it’s not like it’s a big surprise.

Very much recommend!

Edit: The citrus actually stays the course, all the way through the dry down.

EspressoAddict

I have never been more heartbroken by a perfume, including when they discontinued my signature perfume of 12 years.

With the first spritz, i am swept away in the most fragrant, most realistic bergamot scent ever possible to come in a bottle. Fresh, juicy, as if you just took a knife to the most perfectly ripe fruit that has enjoyed the Mediterranean sun. I can smell the bitterness of the peel, the fragrant white flesh that lies just beneath....aaaaaaand then it's gone.

After s few minutes all that is left on my skin is an overwhelming smell of old dust that has been gathering for years, stuck on a layer of engine grease. Have you ever smelled that? Perhaps on an old piece of machinery, an antique sewing machine or something? It's exactly that dusty smell, minus the whiff of mineral oil.

Why, oh why could you not remain as you were in your citrusy glory?!

Siv7Stars

Cloudy lemonade. I could probly stretch this to reams n reams of ecstatic commentary but I'm feeling lazy, I want to sit by a pool with a drink somewhere..

yy_hehe

omg OMG this is IT !! This fragrance is EVERYTHING i recently bought this at sephora and it was FATED WITH ME as a fan of bergamot, this BROUGHT ME TO HEAVEN!! When i first sprayed it onto the paper,,, it was a sharp, distinct, but yet SENSUAL bergamot and the warm spicyness really brought me to life. After it dried down,, it made me LIKE it to LOVE it! It was like a gourmet lemon tart but something about it is yet spicy but sensual and the sensualness simply COULD NOT BE DESCRIBEDD.It was a lingering spicyness and sourness but yet so soft,, its like a soft, spicy lemon bed except its not lemon, but the calabrian bergamot.I can definitely smell the warm spicyness of the cardamon when first sprayed, but afterwards the sensualness comes from the mix of the bergamot + the creaminess of the white musk. The woodiness at the end was definitely an extra touch to elevate the sourness of the bergamot, and to give this fragrance a sophisticated touch.

In general, I really appreciate how this scent is unisex cos i would LOVE to smell this on men too, definitely not super masculine, but more of a cozy yet sophisticated person, and i would definitely see a man in his 30s wearing a clean white blouse to be wearing this fragrance.Tho i i cant foresee any younger man wearing this, i can definitely see a mature and developed ( but also not old ) man wearing this. In fact, regardless of who is wearing this fragrance, smelling this on someone would give anyone the urge to cuddle into their neck ans give them a WARM BIG HUG!!

However, although this fragrance really brought me to heaven, the sillage and longevity was not fantastic. Since i bought this at a sephora store, i got to redeem some things from the many points i have and one of those was those portable refillable bottles.i filled it up with this fragrance and LITERALLY sprayed the ENTIRE bottle in one day but each time i sprayed it it only lasted for 15 mins and the next moment i could only smell it when i put my nose right at it.Maybe its because of the hot and humind weather here in singapore but if i were to give a brief estimation of how long this fragrance lasts, it would be at most 3 hours. So, if you are someone especially particular about longevity, i highly do not recommend this.

BUT,,,, good news is this fragrance is rather versatile so i could definitely see myself wearing this in all the seasons,, both during the day as a everyday fragrance,, but also as a sensual and gentle night fragrance;))

OVERALL: my rating would be a solid 9.5/10 GO GET THIS NOW!!:))

Cyllde

This is my favourite aqua allegoria fragrance. It smells like fresh baked lemon loaf. Considering there is no lemon in the notes it must be the calabrian bergamot I smell.
4 stars because I found a better version of this fragrance that is blended better and longer longevity. That fragrance is Lira by Xerjoff. If you compare the notes they are very similar but Xerjoff is more complex and thus makes the fragrance last longer.
I love them both but if I could only have one I would choose Lira.

charlotte_twister

Makes me wanna olé and shoot guns. Perfect citrus. SO fulfilling. I spray this and I'm fully englobed by a bubble of zesty money lime. No flaws. I don't wear it much, but if I weren't myself, I would. Olé!

amih29

The perfume is what it says it is: a lemony scent, pretty linear and pretty basic; a bit more musky at the end. The longevity is pretty good (I can still feel it now, more than 4 hours after I sprayed it on my skin), but it's not my cup of tea. I will think about trying it in the summer, in the hope I will like it more, but now, in the winter, it's a scrubber for me.

cjoudas

A very interesting, yes, aquatic, citrus frag with miraculous staying power (for a citrus). Opens like a bowl of all lime Trix cereal with lemon-sol instead of milk. Honestly delightful. If I found a bottle of this on sale I'd snag it.

rullaxoxo

A soapy, fresh, and zesty perfume. I like that this has some depth unlike many other citrus perfumes. Perfect for hot summer days or the gym!

Overall: 6/10

MakeupNeverSleeps

To me, it smells almost like a lemon Starburst. The white musk base is my fave part. Weirdly, I love the remainder smell I get when I wash this off; it becomes almost masculine. I agree with others that note the longevity on this one is better than a lot (if not most) of other AAs.

LariLari

One of my favorites from the AA line. Even with its low projection, you'll be able to catch whiffs of fresh and elegant bergamot for approximately 3 hours. Slightly woody and musky, with total longevity (including skin scent) of approximately 5 hours. Invigorating and perfectly unisex due to its light spice note. It's one of my "dumb reaches" when it's hot outside and I know I'll be in either a crowded or enclosed space.

Sol0013

Lovely opening! It smells like the lemon tea I drink in fall. Lemony zesty, a little sweet. But 20 mins later it turns into a plasticy smell that I don't like. :(
It's such a pitty cause I'm a die hard for the opening. It's the same plastic note that I get from AA Coconutfizz.

jellybeantree

My friend at the local perfume shop gave me an idea to mix Sisley Eau du soir, which I own and love with Bergamote Calabria. It really gives Eau du soir a kick of freshness which I really enjoy. It feels like I have made my own personal fragrance. I really recommend trying it.

vanillaorchid

The opening smells exactly like freshly cut lemongrass. Not worthy as a personal scent, more of an air freshener in my opinion. Nonetheless pleasant, fresh and uplifting for the hot weather.

twoski

For me this is one of the best in the AA collection. This fragrance has a bit more staying power, possibly due to the ginger. Even though this one is pretty middling in terms of lifespan and sillage it's still better than most other AA offerings. I'd still classify it as a skin scent as the sillage is arm's length early on and rapidly drops off.

The warm spicy notes and ginger pair beautifully with bergamot. This is a fantastic scent for summer months and i'm sure it'd be fine for spring and autumn too.

I'm a little unhappy with the drydown, it loses all of the spice and bergamot scents and becomes somewhat more masculine smelling, somewhat alcoholic and a tad musky. Feels like every note dies off and you're left with just a faint skin scent of alcohol. If they had come up with a way to improve this (add a component that might have enough staying power to solve this issue) then i'd rank this among my top tier fragrances for sure.

This is very easily a unisex scent, i think anyone can rock this.

LMD

A solid like for this. It didn't sweep me off my feet like the madarine basilic but it is lovely. I would say that this is more unisex. I love when the ginger comes out to play. Mixed with the MB it's a lovely fresh summer cologne. Lasts a little longer than the MB for me, but still pretty short lived.

Atomikbomb_

The trend with these AA fragrances is that they're lovely, but fleeting.

This is my third try from the line, and my favorite thus far. The bergamot is SO Fresh, juicy, and crisp without smelling synthetic. It's quite honestly one of the best openings I've smelled from a fragrance this year, a heavenly 10 minutes. We're having a horrid heatwave in Washington state currently, and it just glows in the sweltering temperature, albiet close to the skin. Even with this weather, it's still not leaping off of me or projecting much.

After 10 minutes the ginger emerges, which I've always loved for being a warm note that never smells heavy in the heat. It's incredibly fresh and clean still, and renders this slightly masculine in my opinion...but not overly so (wheras Pera Granita was slightly feminine). It's laced with cardamom, which is dries down into as a super intimate skin scent after about 2 hours if it's sprayed into clothing.

Overall, I do love this on scent alone but as with the others, wish it lasted a bit longer. I'd definitely purchase it on sale, because even without great performance it's obviously great quality.

aspirina

Woody, musky, citrus scent. The petitgrain note is just beautiful. Love, love, love it for spring and summer. Very uplifting and invigorating, this is a comfort/clean scent. Surprisingly good longevity on my skin at least 4-5 hours with low projection which is more than ok for the aqua allegoria range. Very unisex and casual, anyone can wear and enjoy this beauty.

CITRUS GALORE!!!!!

If you are looking for a bergamot fragrance or in your face citrus fragrance look nowhere else.

This fragrance is very delightful and not offensive it’s quite pleasing and amazing for hot weather.

The only downside I have with this fragrance is longevity. For me is the concentration is good but not great as it only lasts on my skin for 1-3hours. On my clothes, I get 3-4 hours.

What do I get from this fragrance? This fragrance to me smells like lemon head candy or lemon drop candy. This fragrance smells very fresh and clean and great for the summer. Anyone can pull this off as it leans unisex.

I still love this fragrance I find my smell always having a decent of this and reapplying on my wrist just to clear all my troubles. This smells clears my thoughts and makes me feel refreshed.

Rating: 7.5/10

evilspin

Purchased this because I needed a bright citrus inoffensive cologne type splash for relaxing casual and hot days. And this was perfect. Exactly what I wanted a slightly different from all other citrus scents had a soothing note and complexity. I finde ain’t prominent in this but there’s something here that feel like your making yourself a hot lemon lime drink with some honey.

ingeneuxo

-Opens reminiscent to fragrances from the Acqua di parma Blue Mediterraneo line.
-Certainly a more muted version of those AdP fragrances.
-Dries down to a mildly sweet scent.
-Nondescript overall.
-I pick up a ghost note of vetiver. (the feminine kind that you'd find in CdG- No.2, or Creed's Vetiver Geranium.)
-Not fbw. (-)

bdragonfly12345

Pretty, and very likeable, but definitely not fb-worthy (in my opinion).

On the cold back of my hand, it disappeared in an hour and a half. In the warm crook of my elbow, it lasted about three hours, and ginger + bergamot were really amplified. I get very little cardamom or musk, and zero woody notes.

Maybe spraying on hair or clothes would make it last longer?! Or trying it in lotion form...I think that would be really nice!

orffnenav

Compré esta fragancia por varios años cuando vivía en Florida. Lo disfrutaba muchísimo después de bañarme. Me sentía fresca y lista para un desayuno o brunch. Es deliciosamente fresco y natural.

Binchicken

I adore this. It is never too hot a day for this fragrance, never an inappropriate time or place to wear it. It is elegant, simple, and somehow reminds me of Fruit Loops cereal. Lasting power not amazing, but it's the kind of perfume that comes back strong when your skin heats up.

nihalhel

What an elegant fresh scent. Perfect!

This is my favorite Aqua Allegoria! It's lime-y, herbal-y, with some "cardamom", and it's refreshing. It not too sweet so that it gets cloying or like a gummy candy which I find is common now a days with sweet perfumes. It smells good on skin and on clothes, and they are both different. It's less spicy on my skin.

frawlabut

Amazing blend I really love every single note its very fresh and therapy like smell, I love how its start very citrusy and lemony and then dries down to more light spicy and woody , Aqua Allegoria Bergamote Calabria is blind buy for me and I am so glad and extremely happy with the result, I trust Guerlain perfumes enough to buy it based on reading the notes only , I love to discover perfumes through "blind buy" all the time it really so much fun!

MNadz

OK summer fragrance if you can get the 4.2oz in the low $40 range. Any more than that it loses its value.

Candied bergamot opening mixed with ginger. Dries down to mix with musk. Simple clean fresh citrus fragrance.

Longevity is below average as is the projection. Good for spring but better suited for summer. Easily unisex.

If you can buy it for price already mentioned, it’s a nice out of the shower white T-shirt fragrance. Expect to reapply this three to four times in one day.

Personally, this reminds me of those aroma therapy oils that people use in their diffusers. Either that or massage oils. (I'm guessing it's the cardamom)

I don't hate it but I just don't see myself wearing this. I'd prefer smelling this on someone else.

Also, this one seemed to last longer on me compared to the other frags from the aqua allegoria range.

Of all the Aqua Allegoria collection, this is the one that I liked the least at the moment.
Although its aroma is pleasant, its sillage is non-existent, it is like an eau de cologne without any presence, you have to stick your nose to the wrist to feel it, its longevity is very low too, I would say about 4 hours.
We can find its scent in COUNTLESS fragrances and with much better performance for LESS money, in Spain the 125ml bottle cost 56€ approx. I honestly don't think this perfume is worth it.
It is definitely not for me.

agate.ne

The name said it all. Bergamote calabria. It is bergamot. Citrus (even the olfactory group said so).

I don't think it builds more than the fresh citrusy opening. Citrus is all I get. I can't really smell that promised ginger and woody notes (which is my favorite).

Sillage is moderate. It is totally summer and day kind of scent. Don't sniff right after spraying because it could be overwhelming (you feel dizzy? yea, that's what I mean).

I was curious because it is said to have similar scent with Acqua di Parmia Bergamotto Calabria. Now that I know, I would say that this is not to my liking (I love my vanilla and spicy woodsy scent). But would be for you who likes fresh citrusy scent (like fresh lime leaf).

anna-fie

This reminds me a lot of CK One.
Bergamote Calabria has a stronger/real citrus to it though.
I really like it.
And my boyfriend likes it on me ☀️

Lemons, whose juice can be ingested with water, cooked into your food or used in aromatherapy, reduce anxiety and stress levels, lower blood pressure and calm allergies — all of which leads to more restful sleep. They even decrease insomnia, especially for menopausal women. Honestly I purchased this as a bedtime fragrance and really wasn't it expecting it to be even long lasting. Not only it is long lasting, it smells awesome, calming and made me feel really great after I sprayed it on. After a very long 8 hours of sleep (which I have not had in a very long time) I woke up refreshed and in a very good mood. I am not saying it is related to the perfume, I am sure it had something to do with it. I took a shower, I smelled my night clothes after 12 hours, the perfume was still there. Money well spent! If you are looking for a bedtime fragrance, this is something to invest into. The price on-line is great.

Well, I am lucky, this stays on me the whole day. This is a perfect fragrance for summer, very delicate, but it's freshness lingers until the very evening. When my husband uses it in the morning, I can still smell it on his shirt, when he comes back from work.

It opens with zesty citrus and mild green tea, but this phase lasts less than an hour. The dry-down is very different from the opening, the most stable notes there are cardamon and ginger, but this combination is still pretty fresh and unisex.

We used up the 75 ml bottle in 8 months and bought a 125 ml replacement without hesitation. Definitely a keeper:)

Andy the Frenchy

The opening is a sharp, crisp bergamot, like if you cut a bergamot and stick your nose on it.
The drydown is a musky/powdery candied ginger, with some supporting spices and vanillic woods.

The fresh opening leans slightly masculine, but the drydown and structure of this one makes it definitely a feminine fragrance, that I would suggest to wear in Spring more than Summer, because of its sweet base. A good scent, but performance is very poor. $30 for 125ml sounds like a good deal, but given the amount one needs to spray in order to smell something and the need to respray another 2-3X per day to counterbalance its poor longevity, it isn't really.

Spring/Summer days (not too hot), women 20+

keiserkarel

It smells like old dusty books on my skin. I’m disappointed because I love Guerlain's bergamot.

Astar

I liked the first minutes of wear, but it's so faint and disappears into nothigness within an hour. Sad story, because Bergamote notes are so perfect for hot summer days.

muahah

I can smell almost all notes. Spicy, citrus, ginsen, green. It's refreshing, crisp, cheerful with slight warmth in background. It's not very romantic, nor sport-y and not complicated, but it does have some character. Not too sharp for bergamont fragrance. Slightly masculine. It little bit reminds ginsen tea, so in a way it can be gourmand. At beginning there was more aromatic note, but after about 20 minutes it faded making it more crisp, later it's bit more warm and musk-y, then bergamont and green. It have some familiar cologne vibe. I think it will fit late summer and especially autumn. For woman maybe 25+. Will fit most occasions, but mostly it reminds me holidays, tea drinking, walk in nature near some smaller town. Perhaps in Calabria region? Never was there, but in a way I can imagine it. Stays close to skin and lasts about hour on me.

cmoca

My favorite from the allegoria line. Worthy of summer signature. It's difficult to decide to wear anything else in the summer. (I used to spray this in the car on long cross country drives all night - kept me perked up)

Tomelise

It smells like Indian food (curry!) and lemonade. Very spicy

Old School Tie

Bought it for my wife because she wanted a fresher daytime scent for every now and then. I love it so much I have used it myself. The opening is zesty as you would expect, but what I really love is the dry down - there is something in it that I catch a whiff of even many hours after the scent has apparently gone, probably the white musk, so it is not quite as ephemeral as people are claiming. I layer it with the Terre de Hermes Vetiver flanker and that works very well. For me. I don’t know or really care what those around me think, although I have received complimentary comments which have not been forthcoming when wearing some supposed crowd-pleasers. Anyway, Bergamote Calabria, buy it if you are a fan of this genre if only because it can be had so cheap. I bought several bottles, so you can afford to spray it all over as they say...

trabuquera

Vanishingly ephemeral waft of angels' breath. Just painfully beautiful bergamot, zinging out all that radiant fresh Earl-Grey-tea-ness which lifts the spirits and snaps my brain into HD focus as soon as it hits the nose. The wafts of ginger and cardamom only make it lovelier. I bury my nostrils into my skin and clothes, trying to wallow in its aura of light and cleanliness and nature. Then it's completely gone in 20-30 minutes. *howls with anguish*. Would live in this if it lasted. Even as it is, I'm tempted. Evanescent beauty in a bottle. It's not faaaaaaaair.....

ETA: I succumbed to a discount deal, and am wearing it a lot now medical issues are ruling out my usual heavy-hitter favourites. Its citrus radiance still doesn't last as I'd like, but I get much more of the ginger and cardamom, lovelier than ever. Needs reapplying more or less every second hour but somehow I don't even care. The epitome of fragile gorgeousness.

fishwife

Simple bergamot perfume in the way most of the Aqua Allegoria line is...like most citrus perfumes this doesn't last long...but I could keep spraying this forever - so it's a good thing the bottle is BIG!...one of the best this line has to offer...

sonjassharpiedchanelpurse

From the reviews a lot of people seem to get the toilet cleaner scent that I get with Herba fresca instead. With this Bergamote Calabria the main notes on my skin are mostly musk cardamom and woody, in that order.
It can be quite sweet, for me, so probably more of a night time option.

dsty

Something has to go terribly wrong for me to dislike any citrus-focused scent, especially on hot summer days like today, so it's no suprise that I really like Bergamote Calabria as well: it's a classic citrus, nothing groundbreaking, but really nice and well-made. I like the way the bergamot note is interpreted here: not too bitter, but a bit sweetened, which goes together very well with the ginger and other mild spicy accords. The lack of bitterness makes it less realistic, but also more wearable - and the opening is bright and sparkling enough to satisfy any citrus lover. Of course it doesn't last long, but for a summer cologne it's not too bad. I wouldn't mind a little decant to add to my growing collecion of citrus choices - I feel I can never get enough slight variations on that theme. But just because I love the category so much, I don't think I'll ever need a full bottle; this one just doesn't stand out among my many citrus favourites.

GRAF

This is a beautiful scent for summer daytime based on a soft, delicate, sub-sweet bergamot note but it is totally feminine.

Everything in this scent is soft and light. Even the dominant bergamot is toned down from the natural citrusy smell and it's well mixed with non-spicy cardamom, traces of ginger, and a sub-sweet floral vibe, probably from the petitgrain and the musk which feels very delicate white musk.

The longevity is moderate. The scent stays close to the skin most of the time but it's not a skin scent. Overall it's a beautifull summer feminine scent.

Vanian

I loved the opening of this scent. Recently, I am obssesed with the aroma of bergamot and everything started with a cuppa amazing Earl grey tea. And I thought that if this fragrance stays in this way I am having a FB. Unfortunately, the middle stage and the drydown turned very masculine on my skin. And even it is a very nice scent I really don't want to smell like man. So, advice for the ladies who want fresh summer scent - taste it first, before purchasing to avoid disappointments.

belizeb

Swoon! So pleasant and soft. A new forever favourite.

Andrina72

So far, I've only tried it on tester paper (I'll update this review once I've tried it on skin). For now, I'm not getting any sweetness whatsoever. We're dangerously close to household cleaner territory at the moment. It's VERY citrusy and ONLY citrusy. No wood, no leather, no spice... just citrus. Here's hoping that it's more interesting on skin.. otherwise, I have a very expensive bottle of room spray.

UPDATE:

After having worn Bergamote Calabria – I’m back to say that I was wrong about it… sort of.

The opening is literally a 100% citrus bomb. I can’t sense anything else at all and it’s borderline uncomfortable. As it dries down, it softens a bit and becomes a lot more pleasant and wearable. It’s still A LOT of citrus, but it warms up to something quite pretty. Sillage & longevity are quite low.

In my opinion, this would make a really good “morning” perfume to perk you up.. and it would be great for wearing to the gym.

stitcherista

I love bergamot scents in general so this was a win for me. Smells very pleasing on my skin, not overwhelming or medicinal, just fresh and bright. I prefer unisex scents, so the "masculine" aspects some reviewers have noted don't bother me at all (as a middle aged woman). I prefer to wear this on warm, sunny days, especially if I can be outside in lighter clothing. It's typically cold in my office, year round!

Youssef Tarabey

Nice scent and affordable price (85AUD for 75 ml) . My only complaint is about the bottle's cap, it feels that is gonna crack when i remove it

3000

This is nice in cold season, too. Sweet and warm. It's a surprise!

rob2b

Sparkly bergamot and spices which quickly dry down to a very woody musk base.

This is very nice and more suited to the average male fragrance user due to those base notes, which render it dry and quite austere.

This fragrance is as if someone took a classic eau de cologne and smartened it up for the modern man.

no-fi

I tried Bergamote Calabria on skin at a local department store today. The bergamot note is easy and light - it's almost the polar opposite of Shalimar's monolithic citrus-slap of bergamot. There's a nice hint of ginger, and a dash of sweetness - perhaps an effect of the white musk with the almost floral petitgrain note. I don't find it as masculine as some reviewers - if anything, it leans feminine. It's nice enough, but somewhat inconsequential. Caveat - I've been unimpressed by most of the Aqua Allegorias to date.

labellaaddormentata

Found it beautiful on the blotter, unfortunately on my skin it got a horrible, warm, nauseating, cardamom mess.

Had to wash it off after an hour because it was just too overwhelming. Sadly not fresh at all.

kl99

It is just raw pulviscular big-bergamot+some-woods.

Smell like a cold serious sad cologne/aftershave for men of the 70s/firsts80s.

ScarlettX

It's too masculine for my taste. Acqua di Parma had a better one of those.
It's not bad, but a little boring.
Just a simple citrusy masculine fragrance.

Bretto66

Honestly if this is going to the creative level of all future Aqua Allegoria releases then the line needs to be discontinued NOW. The worst release in the line since "Limon Verde".
I dont want to give this a score out of respect to this great house!

Arlene-Beatrix

Lemony scent, quite intense, no delicacy at all. It even reminds me of a house cleaning, citrus scented product. Big disappointment.

orpailleur

This more of a bergamot bomb than an allegoria with an incredible penetration power in all of my pores, amplified by ginger and modulated by tender muscs and a hint of cardamon. I waited more than 2 hours before getting some woody notes, very discrete, too, in front of the power of the citrus here. Longevity on my skin is about 3-4 hours, but I didn't expect more.
This degree of green freshness surpasses the one of Guerlain's just discontinued Limon Verde, Bergamote Calabria is supposed to replace.
Very nice for getting an extra-fresh spur on some mornings when Habit Rouge Edt doesn't look likely to make it.

Une Pluie D'Encens

Crisp, green, fresh citrusy bergamot with a nice minty/medicinal twist due to the coriander and ginger, well balanced out by soft, round and clean white musks. Bergamote Calabria has a beautiful Eau de Cologne vibe with an interesting twist. As is the case with most Aqua Allegorias, the longevity is that of an EdC/EdT depending on your skin and body chemistry.

reglisss34

Nice but too Cologne ! A mix of citrus, orange zest and a touch of musky ginger ! Not bad réalised but extremely poor longevity. L Homme Idéal Cologne is better than this one .
