L'Eau d'Issey Summer 2016 by Issey Miyake is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. L'Eau d'Issey Summer 2016 was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas. Top notes are Grapefruit and Litchi; middle notes are Guava, Pitahaya and Passionfruit; base notes are Woody Notes and Vanilla.

Issey Miyake presents the annual limited editions of the original fragrances L'Eau d`Issey and L`Eau d`Issey Pour Homme. The new summer editions for 2016 are carried out in collaboration with the artist Michelle McKinney and the perfumer Alberto Morillas.

`Eau d`Issey Summer 2016 (or L`Eau d`Issey Eau de Toilette pour l'Ete) is a cheerful floral - fruity fragrance inspired by the exotic freshness of dragon fruit. It opens with fresh accords of lychee and grapefruit that lead to the exotic fruity heart of pitahaya, guava and passion fruit. The base ends with aromas of vanilla and woods.

Available as a 100 ml Eau de Toilette

Very cheap and not very successful blind buy of mine. It's similar to the original L'Eau d'Issey with a bitter grapefruit twist. I love a good grapefruit note in fragrances, but here, I don't know, most of the time I get the impression that the notes are not very well blended and sticking out to my nose in weird ways. But it certainly isn’t your typical citrus fragrance, which also could be a good thing for someone.

Looking at the notes, I would imagine this would be a heavenly tropical scent not very similar to the original, but unfortunately, it isn't. It's not bad, just not my favorite.

I'll probably use it up as a hot summer day refreshener and for casual outdoor activities.

Is it normal that it smells absolutely wonderful at first spray but now after five minutes it's completely foul- like a mix of rotten eggs with salt water, I don't know. It's salty, or ozonic, or simply just foul.

This is the first Issey M. flanker I use. It's very fresh light with a slight tropical scent. My hubby love it. I'm a very new fragrances TOC
I bought it blind, in sale, because your good recommendations and I like it but it really has a poor longevity as you said.
Anyway I didn't expected more but It would've be great If a fragrance like this could stay more in my skin.. if you can recommend me some Ill be glad

The summer versions usually are the same. Perfume companies give anyone who collects bottles a chance to buy limited edition bottles with the summer editions. The Perfume Pros on YouTube have a great video about this titled, "Why wear a summer scent."

I just bought this perfume, being a big fan of Issey Miyake scents. However, having got it home I tested it against their 2013 Summer scent, and to me they smell almost the same!! Does anyone else also feel that all the scents in the Summer/Ete range smell very similar?

Typical light citrus scent with grapefruit as a king. Tropical notes are also there so it's a good choice for vacations in some sunny country.

This is a good one. Perfectly fresh and light summer scent. I can smell light tropical fruit note and tart grapefruit. It also has that distinctive l'eau d'Issey scent in it.
Intensively reminds me of summer.
A nice scent, easy to wear, light, a bit tart and summery.

Tried this today at Macy's. For some reason it brings to mind Elizabeth Arden's Sunflower perfume. I tried to like it and sniffed at my wrist all day, but it never seemed to developed at all. Non offensive, but nothing special, in my opinion.

This is a very light and fruity version of L'Eau d'Issey. You can really smell the lychee upon application and then it mellows out and you'll start smelling the guava and passionfruit a bit more. This is most definitely a daytime fragrance and it's a fun one, but the longevity is not the best. I get 1 to 2 hours of wear with this, which is considerably less than my favorite which is the L'Eau d'Issey Florale. You also can't smell the perfume much since it sits so close to your skin. It's a nice fragrance but I find it a bit hard to justify the pricetag.

I'm about to buy it in a few days. Tested today and really enjoyed it very much, although I personally can not find such a big difference with the other versions. They are all very similar.
