THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE NEWEST La Rive ELIXIR - which sadly, still isn't in the database here, even though already readily available in every drug store in Germany.... it's a spot on dupe for the discontinued The Essence of Alien 👾👽, very strong performance, too 🔥💝💕 also, the bottle is beyond beautiful - same form as this one but in a stunning deep violet 💟💜 The cherry on top is definitely the affordable price of 7,50€

This isn't a great dupe of tresore la nuit at all. It resembles slightly the original but it smells much more chemical, sweet and cheap. It truly is a cheap kind of dupe. The original i adore, it's warm, somewhat sweet, dark and sexy. This is a girly and sweet interpretation of the original. I'm not a fan of the well known and overpriced brand labels but now i must be honest. The original is much and much better. After a while i get nauseous off this smell. Too much of everything i mentioned. 😖

ThatGothBBW

My lord....... this is SO synthetic. It honestly smells so freaking cheap....... It's not always, you get what you pay for. But here, I really think you do.

On my skin. I can't believe how identical this is to - Love by Sophia Vergara. On my skin, they are 90%/95% similar. The only noticable differences for me is, in the opening and quality it's self. love by Sophia pulls more sweet on me, while this pulls more fruity. Love by Sophia smells more luxurious, more rounded, and higher quality.

I think, I'm just not a fan of this scent profile. The sweet, cakey, gourmand, and dark fruits. To be fair, there is nothing wrong with it in general. But, it's just so much lighter than I would personally like. I was honestly expecting something MUCH stronger, and much heavier. And for that reason it's not, I think it's perfectly ok to wear this in warmer seasons and not just winter. I'm just a fan of heavier fragrances in general, this just isn't one of them. I'm sure that over time this will deepen up and get better, as it starts to develop. But as for right now, this is just sooo lackluster for me. It leaves much to be desired.

On an upside, I can guarantee that most people will absolutely LOVE this scent profile, and it will most certainly pull compliments. It has a "baked goods" smell, or "good enough to eat". But it's not sickly sweet or too gourmand by any means. It has a great balance of fruity, sweet, etc.

It is incredible how this very inexpensive fragrance can project and last so long, not to mention that it is a fantastic dupe of Tresor La Nuit.
If you like intense, gourmand fragrances and if you are a fan of the original Tresor La Nuit, save your expensive original for special occasions and indulge as often as you like using Taste of Kiss without breaking the bank.
Dumb name but great scent. And I don't sense any alcohol after the first spritz. Maybe the very first time when I opened the bottle, but never since then.

This perfume is a 9/10. It is so sweet and like just so nice idk how to explain it. I’d 100% recommend buying it if you love gourmand scents. It’s definitely a bit spicy idk what note that comes from. It’s a compliment getter and I’ve been using it in the winter, I smell amazing. It does however irritate my nose and I sometimes get a headache so not the best option for office wear or you’d need to spray lightly. Super long lasting.

Son Acton

In the first seconds after spraying the smell of alcohol is quite obvious. But later on, the smell was great. When you inhale deeply, the first sweet smell is of chestnut, then caramel, then you can see the smell of vanilla.

Mystères du Château de Dé

Great gourmand nighttime perfume, in low light, reading or watching a gripping movie. Don't inspect it too closely, on your skin, just spray and relax. It projects and that's where it smells good.

The possible downside is that it lasts forever on fabrics, a fruitchouli perfume smell, so only spray on skin and washable fabric.

La Rive bottles improve sitting for a few months.

Shiffy

Nataliemarie

Short N Sweet this is pretty good Strawberry & Incense. Let it dry down, b/c when you first spray it, it's too potent & you won't get it. I do think it smells like LN Tresor, & I have the OG, not the one made in 2019. I agree w/ the person that said a vanilla lotion may do a lot of good here. I'm gonna wear it like this-- VS Bare Vanilla Lotion, maybe the spray too. BBW STR Poundcake Spray & then this. I love my Combos! NatalieN on Youtube~

Kristinanatasa

Excellent. Sweet as honey. Intoxicating. As if it costs $100. I feel plum, not a little vanilla. A fragrance for young people. Lasts about 12 hours on clothes longer.

arenee_202

This La Rive Taste of Kiss smells just like the reformulated version of Lancôme Tresor La Nuit. The scent of pear, strawberry praline and incense etc. listed above is the OLD version of Lancôme Tesor La Nuit that was discontinued in 2015. With that said La Rive Taste of Kiss does not have these scents listed above it has the new version mix of scents. The old version had pear instant In your face and pops of fruit mixed and chocolate with incense and all those beautiful scents but since 2015 they don’t have those scents listed above. If you want to see the actual scent profile of La Rive taste of kiss fragnatica has a distinct old version and new version of La Nuit that you can look up.

LizbethScott

This lasts me all day, that's one of the best parts of this perfume! I smell the black rose immediately, and it's absolutely lovely. Then comes the praline and caramel, making it irresistibly sweet. Amazing performance for a perfume in this price range.

MountainPrincess

I really wanted to love this one, but the patchouli is STRONG. Like, always there hanging. If they had dialed it back a bit I think it would be a perfect scent.

cacemonster

Wow this was cheap! I saw the price of around 7$ and figured, I have to try! I read so many good things, i guessed it would be worth a shot. So I bought it, came home, opened it and was like whaaat is this! Its sooo strong, very spicy/incensey from bottle cap. I could not believe how bad it smelled, or... not bad... just very not me! I was expecting caramel vanilla strawberry sweetness. I was even hesitant to spray it inside our house bc it smelled so sharp, so I sprayed on paper. It changed my mind, I could smell the sweet caramel like vibe in it, so i guessed it would soften a bit on skin too. Still rather incense and strong but more sweet and warm as well. So I dare to spray on my arm, and there its like it found its place. It transformered to this mystical, sweet scent I actually find pleasant. Its really growing on me. its not a scent I feel like me in, but I do appreciate the smell. And I would certainly like to smell it on others. However this is in my opinion a night time fragrance, probably best in the colder months. I do think I need to feel how i best spray this on myself or on my clothes to get the best from it. I never tried the nuit tresor one, so I cant compare but the notes here really make sense. I dont detect a clear strawberry note though, but it has some juicyness to it which probably is the berry. Incense carsmel. I dont get as mich vanilla as I would like, I think a vanilla layered here either on a spray or bodylotion might sofaen it more. I still find it a bit sharp for my taste so all in all, its a like, not a love :) however i do get that people would love this!!
However: this is really losing its power rather quickly. Its soo strong in opening but settle quite silently after only short while, so I would consider it when spraying for a night out or so. But at this price, im like thats really ok!

Misschronicallyfabulous

Afnan-Modest Deux Pour Femme is slowly, but surely creeping to the number one position of my collection. With over 120 fragrances and many (already sampled) wishlisters on top of that, this is saying something. Modest II is often called "the more elegant" version of Lancôme La Nuit Trésor, though I think it's a tad less polarising since it misses the incense note and has a few more sweets in its pyramid. Having said that, they're definitely very, very close in vibe (and I love both).

Why am I babbling about a Middle Eastern perfumes when this is about La Rive Taste of Kiss? Well, ToK is said to be a dupe for the La Nuit, but it's almost a 100% copy of the Afnan fragrance! My new batch of La Rive goodies arrived late this afternoon and around 8pm I couldn't hold it anymore... despite having promised myself to let the poor perfumies rest from their heavy travels - La Rive fragrances notoriously stink, literally and figuratively, if they've bounced from stock room to truck to post office to delivery van to home. Just like my V.A.E EDP's I usually let them sit for a few weeks. Sometimes after a spray or 2 in the air, sometimes not even opening it.

But my Angel dupe test called La Rive River of Love had been such a surprisingly good...eh...surprise on its 1st try with less than 24hrs of rest that I couldn't help myself. I wanted to know if ToK was any good. After all, it is sold in several stores (ranging from €6.99 to €8.99, with 11,- and 15 euro giftsets including deodorants or showergels too) for very little whereas Modest Deux Pour Femme is much harder to find and costs, at its cheapest, around €32,-. Now, I might have a pretty extensive collection, but that's all build up from severely discounted fragrances/Middle Eastern perfumes/dupe houses/old stock sellers/2nd hand purchases, with several travel size bottles thrown in the mix. Your girl needs to watch the euros - and I can only buy in rather special moments*.

Getting the same, glorious addictive smell from Taste of Kiss, even though the bottle hasn't rested yet (I know it'll get stronger) makes me really happy. The pretty perfume bottle - La Rive actually has cute packaging! - contains a dark juice that creates a scent on your skin reminiscent of both colour and packaging: it's a red fruit chocolaty gem of an opening that flows into a mix of thick vanilla, a hint of patchouli (very lightly) with some luscious caramel and a slight flower note.
The strawberry note that's so strong from the opening to the heart (I actually get a mixture of red fruits, the strawberry but also some forest fruits) loses most of its strength in the dry down but a soft touch remains. Also important: there was zero alcohol in the opening. Cheapies can have huge clouds in the opening in the beginning, sometimes even keeping that a bit. Taste of Kiss just offers yummy perfume.

The dry down, the end result on my skin, differs from both the Lancôme and the Afnan fragrance, whereas the 1st hour was pretty much identical save from minor details. Both are stronger and deeper, with the Lancome more sensual and more chocolate-incens-y and the Afnan much fruitier. However, to my surprise the longevity is pretty much identical and if you consider the difference in price tag that's rather bizarre.

My skin is very dry and due to meds also very acidic. That influences performance very negatively on all accounts. I would also like to repeat that this fragrance hasn't gotten the treatment I give all my purchases normally: rest and recuperation, meaning a spray and some maceration in a dark, cool environment. I'll edit if big changes occur in a month or so.

Taste of Kiss' first spray on my hand lasted a good 5 hours in the current Dutch soft winter weather ( which means it belongs to my Top 10 best performers at the moment - counting its scent siblings as one - together with La Rive River of Love, Ysl Libre, Zara Golden Decade, Zara Violet Blossom, Armaf Club de Nuit Intense, Ard Al Zaafaran Romancea, JPG La Belle Le Parfum, Lattafa Khamrah and Police Shock-In-Scent. Though temperature, treatment & hormones have a tendency to scr*w with this list).

However, after the first jubilant minutes ToK seems to lose a lot of 'mojo' and while the process from opening to dry down remains on decent scent level, it does become a skin scent very quickly afterwards. As said, it'll stay long on your skin then, but you'll need to get your nose close to the source. As a result projection and sillage are sadly below average: rather intimate. Slightly contradictory, but maybe S and P are harder to test than (L)ongevity based on one spray. I'll update this too once the juice has "cooked" a bit more.

Despite the fact Taste of Kiss hasn't the strongest projection from the looks of it, and its fragrance twinnies are a bit better, I can't imagine that this La Rive won't be a staple on my dresser/cupboard shelves. I have much more expensive fragrances that perform worse (equal S/P, but less L), not to mention the fact that I simply really love the smell - such a lovely mature gourmand! Sexy, sensual with a hint of playfulness (if the fruits come through on your skin).

I think it'll perform best in autumn and winter, being too heavy for warm weather. I do think - if you're the type - this could easily be worn during the day, leisure or even office, but I'm also sure many a woman/ man will label this "date night material". It can be both, but yeah: it would be on the forefront of my mind when choosing a date fragrance.

Another point in its favour is the fact I have high hopes for its strength. As in, maturing to a heavier, stronger projecting perfume in the coming weeks.
Case in point: My Eternal Kiss was a weak blegh of a mess and I thought it would be a 'round archive' purchase. Three weeks later it was a honey-orangeblossom bomb that I now use frequently alone, or as a layer with Zara's Rich/Warm/Addictive and any other perfume that smells wonderful with an extra honey note. The River of Love (RoL) didn't give me any honey on first try. Now 2 days later I do get an obvious honey accord in the opening and more fruit as well, making it more well rounded and stronger too.

Long story short: Taste of Kiss is worth every single penny. While I've not tested my now rather extensive La Rive collection in total (I got 12, with 10 new ones this week) I consider Taste of Kiss currently the top fragrance of the brand, together with RoL. Eternal Kiss is good too, but a tad too one note - ish. I honestly wonder how they're able to create such good Edp's for such a low price! Makes you wonder how much £€$¥ the designer & niche brands are actually making off of us - but that's a different discussion;).

I'm going to use this particular La Rive to my hearts content and will most likely get a new one - preferably a set with showergel or something - once this one is finished, especially as long as I stay obsessed with the scent profile. I'm even thinking of mailing the brand to ask if they have plans to discontinue/reformulate so I'll know when/if to get backups.

If you like La Nuit Tresor or Modest Deux Pour Femme, or at least know you like this scent profile/ the notes together then Taste of Kiss is a safe and happy blind buy. It's a very nice fragrance with decent longevity too (projection TBD later after extensive testing) and for those with a mostly empty bank account after primary living deductions it's an excellent way to smell expensive on a very small budget.

EDIT: March 24th 2023. Unlike many of its La Rive siblings Taste of Kiss didn't significantly change after it sat on my vanity for a while. The quality is similar. Longevity still good, unless it's really cold, with a relatively intimate projection and sillage. The praline note is strongest, the fruity notes have diminished a tad. No alcohol cloud. I'm now over half of the bottle and unless I find a better cheap dupe of TLN (it certainly isn't a clone, but it has similar vibe) I'll add another bottle to my collection come next Fall.

(* I'm rather ill, which can mean medical food at times. That's reimbursed, saving me a bit of grocery money. The deal I made with myself, is that these €€ are allowed - when possible- to go to fun things, like social events once I'm 'better', or to f.e. perfume, giving a positive swing to it all.)

🖤🖤🖤🖤I wore this today for the first time since summer and I got more compliments on it than any perfume that I have worn in a long time and I wear many beautiful perfumes. 💜💜💜💜A guy in the elevator literally told me that I smelled like a goddess. When I got to work my friend ran over to me to ask me what I was wearing. When I went to the ladies room there was a few girls in there and they were like oh my God what do you have on you smell so delicious.🍬 When I got on the bus to get home the bus driver told me that I smelled like a dessert.🍧🍨 What an incredible experience to have this many people compliment me on this inexpensive perfume. I adore this perfume with all my heart 🖤and soul. This is my second review just to let y'all know that I've received so many compliments on this scent these people cannot be wrong. Get you some of this magical scent. It's a tropical🍓strawberry 🍦vanilla toffee 🍮caramel tad bit sweet warm creamy seductive luscious juicy lychee its a decadent masterpiece. I cannot stop sniffing my wrists. And the great thing is about this perfume I get wiffs of it periodically and the smell is buttery bakery decadent. But it's not too sweet of a perfume.🍐 It's just perfect. I am so for joy to have and I've got a few more bottles in case it gets discontinued. It's a very mysterious sexy scent. It is excellent for colder weather. Thank you for reading Merry 🎄 Christmas to you dear one. May Jesus heal you 😊

Cost me 6€ and just tried it. My man gave it 8,5/10. I feel like this smells a LOT like La Nuit but I prefer this because it doesn't give me headache and is more gentle. That being said it is definitely a nighttime scent for autumn/winter imo. Strong. For some reason I smell dark cherry even though it is not in the note breakdown. i get the Papyrus on my skin too and I love it. On my skin it is a dark cherry berrylike, earthy murky scent. Seductive, heavy like a velvet fabric. One of the better La Rive dupes. Not as deep and dark as La Nuit but also doesn't give me headache like La Nuit. Will repurchase. For the price this is crazy good and I prefer it over La Nuit. I vision a dark vampire lady wearing this laying on a luxurious dark velvet couch. Very gothic.

coffeebean83

It's like rich tangy dark berry wine upfront with all those sweet gourmand base notes also playing center stage right behind. Smells very similar to Tresor La Nuit but(as per usual with La Rive dupes) it's doesn't go as deep. In this case it's not as sharp/intense as TLN....but it's still pretty potent. It's one of the four from La Rive that I'm almost certain I'll repurchase. Last pretty long on me(6-8 hrs) with decent projection too.

JCDvorak

I really love Tresor La nuit & saw this as a very formidable dupe. I just received Taste of Kiss & I do agree that this smells very very similar to TLN…. But there’s a scent that is very different. Instead of smelling decadent (on me, TLN leaves a delicious chocolate type scent) I smell a grassy, outdoor, leafy kind of scent. I do not like it at all. It also leaves a kind of rotting leaves, unfresh scent on my skin. I’m very sad that this dupe doesn’t work well with my skin chemistry & I’ll have to just purchase the original TLN.
The price is very great, only about $18 on eBay. The scent is very strong as well. I’m glad that I was able to test this dupe. I hope it works well with other types of skin, better than my experience. I still think it’s worth a try for others.

Chouli Galore

Taste of a Kiss is a little gem. The bottle cost me $8, it smells better than the Lancome, lasts 6-7 hours, and it always gets compliments! Smells fantastic in the cooler weather too. This La Rive perfume is a winner.

jocing

Reviewing the notes above, I can’t tell what I get from this taste of love. But the impression all these notes mixture. I get a delicious fresh dries strawberry (dry food), the sweetness are so similar to icing sugar. This fragrance is unique. Is a worth blind buy. I love it so much.
These kind of stand out from my perfume collection.

margarita19george

La Nuit Tresor and La Rive Taste of kiss are identical twins 👯♀️.

lovelore

this scent is really nice. though, for the most part i'd only wear this at night and during the colder months, it's very rich and dark, while being sexy at the same time. the fruits work with the sweeter base notes very well, it's a true syrupy gourmand. granted i don't think i have the most advanced nose but when i tested la nuit tresor in store they smelled extremely similar, LNT was just slightly deeper and more potent. i’m not absolutely in love with the scent enough to buy LNT as well. i'm perfectly content with taste of kiss. it lasts about 5 hours which is amazing for the price. i would say it's blind buy safe if you think you'd like a rich, fruity gourmand with a hint of patchouli.

LizDee007

🥰🥰My emojis state it all! This hit me like a ton of bricks! I was not expecting such a luxurious, beautiful and sexy fragrance for the $22.00‼️ It’s fruity, amber vanilla, and spicy, but not overpoweringly spicy. I’m not the person to spray only day or night, but this is truly a night out, dark and sexy, flirty and carefree🥰🥰It’s so amazing! The performance is quite impressive! Definitely a worthy blind buy and it made its way to my top 3 champions!

anitasaastamoinen

Now I have also La Nuit Tresor and they are really similar, I can't tell the difference. I have LNT on one arm and and this on another. Maybe LNT lasts longer than this, I use it more seldom because of the price. Anyway, this scent does last on my clothes at least 24 hours.

After one hour or two hours, I notice that this is a little bit different from LNT: this is fruitier on my skin, which is not a bad thing at all. I love both, but I love this more.
Later I noticed, that this scent lasts longer on my skin than LNT. I'm more pleased with this, if it 's possible.

Vesi_

It is not bad-bad, but if there is any perfume scent, I am not able to catch it, because the alcohol dose in this thing is so much to the point where I get a nose insensitivity.

Amarigemariagelove

This is similar to tresor la nuit! It is lovely. I tested it out yesterday and I just wanted to comment that, although another reviewer commented they didn’t get any incense note. For me initially it wasn’t there from spray, but I got a very distinct incense note, alongside vanilla and patchouli on drydown which lingered on my skin many hours later and I was getting wafts of it last night, so much so I actually wondered if I had I had some incense nearby 😂 which I didn’t. I didn’t note Tresor la nuit had that actually as I didn’t notice it previously (I only have a 7.5ml). I enjoyed this perfume very much, I think it’s really great for the price, not one of my favourites but like it a lot. ❤️

Briigita

I bought it from reviews, wanted to try something from La Rive and this one was the most recommended.
Didn't smell the original (La Nuit Trésor Lancôme) before buying, but now i went to the drugstore and did smell the Lancome one so I can compare.
Have to say I am not the fan nor of original, nor of this perfume, gives me headache. But the opening smells almost identical. I could mix them up easily. It's a strong, kinda good lasting smell (for the price). The biggest difference is the drydown. Original has a beautiful, rich drydown, it is not flat, has more levels of beautiful scent blend. While this one is very flat, just recreates the top of the notes.
I am sure someone will really like this ,that's just not my kind of the smell, but overall the perfume is good for the price.

SusanTheTeach

This smells like a richer, deeper version of Lovissima by Pascal Morabito without the synthetic effervescence that Lovissima has. I have never smelled La Nuit Tresor (yes I know.....tragic) but from how everyone describes it, there is prominent incense note in that one which I can attest is not in Taste of Kiss. Taste of Kiss is a syrupy, deeply ripened Strawberry with sweet bakery type Vanilla with Coumarin, Orchid, and a hint of Licorice lingering in the background. 9/10

Burgundy Jayde

🖤🖤🖤Good HEAVEN this scent is DIVINE! The black rose is prominent when I first spray it but it changes fast into a scrumptious dessert. Its been on my skin for about 10 minutes and I smell the most beautiful 🍓 strawberry and litchi with creamy yummy vanilla.🍦 Oh my gosh this scent is scrumptious I cant get enough of it. I feel like I am in a cold dark forrest at night surrounded by the warmth of a balmy bonfire 🔥eating real vanilla bean ice cream 🍧🍨🍦with creamy thick, gooey caramel drizzling on top of passionfruit ans tart fresh sweet 🍓 strawberries with praline and I even get a whiff of cocoa from the vanilla orchid so YUMMY T.his is easily going to be one of my signature scents its so bewitchingly mysterious . 🍭 A sweet dessert in a bottle. I am floored how inexpensive this was on ebay. Mmmmm I am in heaven if you have not tried this you should if you like deep warm dark sensual scents.

This is my first of 4 La Rive perfumes that I bought on a blind buy after reading the reviews on here as I love Tresor perfumes!! I love the smell of this one but for me it seems so very soft and doesn't project long. My husband told me a few times last night that he really liked what I was wearing and I said "you can smell that?" haha and he said yes, it was a nice soft fragrance. While I love the smell I just wish it were stronger and lasted longer which is odd after reading so many reviews on here of people saying it lasted a long time. Every now and then I would catch a whiff of it and think "oh that's nice", but most of the time it was hard for me to smell it. I wonder if that happens with other people? Anyways, would I buy this one again? Probably not just for those reasons and I look forward to trying the other 3 La Rive perfumes and reviewing them.
Edit: I wore again today and used 8 sprays and it is not too soft anymore. lol. I know I've seen some people say you need to "open up" a perfume so perhaps this is what's happening. I'm loving it more today! I would definitely buy this one again, I'm in love. This is definitely one of my favorite La Rive perfumes!!

sj.1996

If La Rive has any what I'd call "powerhouse perfumes", this is one of them (and I have a fairly well informed informed opinion owning 21 of them, including several of the men's for my husband). For me, it has projection, sillage AND longevity which a lot of the La Rive's just don't have but of course I didn't know that before I bought it, I bought it because of a review from last year referring to it as the "french whore perfume" and that amuses me to no end. My taste varies but I lean towards lighter florals, which this is not, its deep, rich and warm and yes, you could use the word delicious. If I can smell myself for hours afterwards without touching myself with my nose, that's a good perfume and with this one I can. As to whether or not it really smells like La Nuit Tresor... The notes are supposed to match, I own both and bought LNT because I loved this, they are very, very similar to me but I honestly reach for Taste of Kiss far more often. I would totally buy it again if I needed to. 10/10

fibuls

This is so good! I sprayed this 9 hrs ago and I still get whiffs of vanilla, praline, caramel and a hint of incense on myself. Was not crazy about it for the first couple minutes of spraying, but give it time and it settles into a smoky, sweet, delicious but not cloying fragrance. If this is the dupe of La Nuit Tresor, I am getting the OG because it is lovely! Perfect for everyday. It is warm and rich but not in a suffocating way. I can't wait to receive La Nuit Tresor to compare.

Update: I have LNT and I have to say they are very, very similar. LNT is a bit stronger and a bit sweeter. But honestly, nobody will notice. I like Taste of Kiss because it is more wearable.

vulcano

This is obviously enjoyed by many but I think it's if you are already used to the original perfumes this brand is aiming for that you may be disappointed. At least for me the drop in quality makes them hard to wear. Personally I think I would not even have liked the dupes if I had tried them first.

sibaraa

This is gorgeous. A winter rose and berry fragrance I can smell all the notes so well combined. The sweetness isn't overwhelming and neither is the incense. This is perfection. A safe blind buy in my opinion.

LuckyDay27

I don’t like this one at all. I thought I would because of the notes in it and all the great reviews. Unfortunately, now that it’s in the final dry down base notes I dislike it more than in the beginning. It is definitely giving off “old lady perfume “ vibes.

Hypnotic Flower

I'm not sure whether I easily get anosmic to this or what, (I'm actually anosmic to LNT most of the times aswell) but this barely lasts on my skin and has zero projection. I really wanted to like it because LNT is one of my all time favorite scents and after hearing of its discontinuation I wanted to find a cheaper alternative. Scent is similar but this lacks the richness of the OG.
So sad :(

soapycast

this is reminiscent of zara's red vanilla but with none of the burnt rubber nuances. its richer, deeper, creamier and lovely to smell on myself throughout the day. not very long lasting i will admit, but i dont really care. adds a great sweet boost to any fragrance you mix it with. very safe reach

Very happy with this, such a lovely scent with such a small price. It's not artificial, it's quite long lasting, juicy, rich. Strawberry is most noticeable from the fruits, incense and sweet notes, but it's not too sweet. One of my favourite scents, I have a back up bottle.

Kizzyb93

This is gorgeous ❤️Im so impressed with this one past a girl wearing thing seconds ago and I chased her down to ask her and she wrote it down for me not sure on the longevity on this but il be buying this as soon As my NYE hangover is over with! Happy new year everyone

nateya

This smells exactly like bath and body works dark kiss but with a sharp peppery note and it’s not as sweet. It smells really good and you can easily layer this with anything. Longevity isn’t the best friends, but for $13 you can’t complain. Surprisingly, the sillage is actually pretty good!

If you have this and Delina, mix them together and boom… you have the exclusif now lol.

RaggedyAnne

I could not afford Tresor La Nuit so I bought this and I am over the moon with it. It's dark and beautiful, and perfect for the winter. I don't get a cheap smell as mentioned below- Longevity is very good- lasting 6-8 hours before reapplication is needed.

pepperush

like this alot. smells exactly like jeanne arthes sultane nuit fatale. but taste of kiss isnt as long lasting as sultane nuit fatale, and slightly lesser on the patchouli.

Jesse Harrison

I love how sweet this is, but there is enough complexity to keep it from just being rot your teeth sweet. I love wearing this on its own, and also over some of my more unisex fragrances to sweeten them up a bit. I definitely tend to prefer complex, unisex fragrances, so loving a fragrance this sweet and feminine was a surprise to me, but now I wear it almost every day. Would highly recommend this one.

LadySansa

This is indeed a dupe of Tresor La Nuit, ofc LNT has a bit more "oomf" but taste of kiss is worth it in my opnion especially given its price. So go for it!

386Vintage

cigar, sweet

$ortabroke

We all have different noses, of course, but I say save your money. Yes, it's cheap, and it smells like it, too. Armaf Signature True is the way to go if you're looking for a dupe for La Nuit Tresor. La Rive Taste of Kiss smells dirty and cheap to me. It's missing the sparkly tart sweetness of the original and the Armaf.

metalshin23

OMG, this is indeed a dupe for La Nuit Tresor, just without the complexity of LNT. I initially bought this as I'm trying to save my precious bottle of LNT. I still wear perfumes everyday despite working from home, so this is a good, cheap alternative.

Lasts about 4-5 hours on me. For the price, I wouldn't really complain as this is something that you can douse yourself as it is so affordable! I still can't believe it only costs $12. Sillage is average and not something that would scream "I'm wearing perfume!"

I'm happy to learn about La Rive and its offerings. I would definitely buy again from this brand.

UPDATE 10/18/21: Ok so I wore LNT the other day and my Mom thought I was wearing this! It really does smell the same! Go ahead and get this ladies!

GabbyVersusThe

I understand why there is a lot of love for this scent. Price, longevity and quality are all great but unfortunately, there's a note that's really bothering me.

EDIT: At first I thought it was patchouli, but now I'm fairly sure that the bothersome note in Taste of Kiss is liquorice.

Pebblesjebbles333

Just received this bottle yesterday. I do not know how the original la nuit smells like so this is completely a blind buy. At first spray I was taken aback because I am not used to this type of strong scent. But after awhile it settles nicely into this dark, mysterious and sexy vibe. It smells rich and intoxicating. More suited for night time. Has many layers to it. I love it! Now I cannot wait to try the original version.

gtabasso

again, another La Rive that is amazing for the price! strawberry and patchouli with some sweet praline, orchid and rose for a floral fruity patchouli dark and strong fragrance; La Nuit Tresor clone

qwerty988

I have this on one wrist and La Nuit Tresor on the other. They're very similar at first spray and 100% identical after a few minutes. I really can't smell a difference! On me, longevity is better for this than LNT. Great for the price!

VioletOrchid

I bought this off of popularity. I knew this isn’t my usual taste because I hate overdone sweetness. If you’re someone who likes sweet perfumes, go ahead and blind buy this. You will not regret it.
Now, I somehow don’t hate it very much. The orchid in here makes it velvety and smooth which is a big sigh of relief for me. I don’t think this perfume is juvenile whatsoever. It has some sexiness and depth. I find it useful in layering to add depth and darkness to other fragrances.
La Rive makes impressively great perfumes for the price.

poppyetpear

This smells so bad to my nose. I'm smelling chocolate, tobacco, vicks vapor rub and the rubber sole of an old gym shoe🤷🏽♀️

Cathped

For the younger audience in my opinion. Sweet, likeable, forgettable. Not very unique.

clads

IMO this is a really nice perfume, especially for the price. I particularly love the fruity opening. I haven't smelt La Nuit Tresor, but to my noob nose, this reminds me of D&G's The Only One, which I have a mini of. A lot of their notes overlap, but Taste of Kiss is far less powdery and more fruity jammy incense-y. I'm not a huge powder fan and they smell similar enough, so I think this will satisfy my itch for a full bottle of The Only One.
I wish the longevity was better (lasts like 2~3 hours on me), but it's cheap and I like the opening so I don't think I'll mind reapplying.

ceeceelee

Taste of Kiss is a 95% dupe for the whole life of La Nuit Tresor, 100% dupe upon dry down. Sillage I'd rate a 6, but longevity only a 4 out of 10. I'm not rating it a love bc of the patch. It's beautifully blended but I had hoped for less prominence like some other reviewers had stated. My skin tends to amplify it, I can wear La Nuit Tresor, but it does the same thing. Your going to be spraying more than the Tresor, but hey, you can afford to. Price point is amazing for this perfume on it's own merits. It doesn't need to be compared to anything, it's just a really good scent.

wagners erda

This is a beautiful perfume that does not smell as cheap as the price I paid for it. I'm very happy with this as an everyday fragrance. The strength and longevity are pretty good, however it never seems to reach the base notes. The first spray is very strong and fruity. I get mostly pear and bergamot. I don't know the other fruit, however it is a strong citrus that comes across. In the middle and throughput most of the fragrance it's a sweet strawberry. It's very lovely and I think I like this phase the best. I also get a rose and some other indiscernible flowers, but it mostly goes gourmand after a while and I get praline and caramel. Patchouli is also there but very much as a side-note. This lasts a long time. The base notes are practically non-existant. If I put my nose to my wrist, I get a very faint woodiness and vanilla.

I reapplied 3 times today, so as to get those middle noes again. The third time I decided to add some base to it . I layered with Al Rehab Al Sharqaih And wow! This totally amps up the whole fragrance. It mixes really well. Now the incense is there from the attar and it has turned this one into a bomb of a fragrance, lol.

To sum up, this is a beautiful fragrance on it's own for the price point and for wearing on a daily basis. I do not know La Nuit Trésor, so cannot vouch for the similarity. However, if you like sweet gourmandy fragrances, you won't go wrong with this.

SallyGirl

Blind buy-It’s 1983, I am playing with my strawberry shortcake dolls. Tok smells identical to the Purple Pie Man!!! This scent is SO nostalgic to me and I’m HERE for it!!!!! I know this is a dupe for Another perfume, however I’ve never had the privilege of smelling it so I can’t say if it’s similar? I can tell you that this has very wonderful longevity and definitely is strong enough to be smelled by others. The 80’s were weird, and so is Tok..but in the best most weirdest way possible. If anyone needs me I’ll be hanging around the house today, remembering a simpler time, 1983.

FireDragon76

I bought Taste of Kiss last time I was in Germany because I'd read that it's a dupe for LNT. Right now I don't care if it's a dupe or not but I think I recognise the Tresor flankers (purple(ish) bottles) signature in ToK - it slightly reminds me of Midnight Tresor which I owned and loved. I didn't love the original Tresor when I revisited it a few years ago, so I'm glad ToK doesn't remind me of whatever has happened to the original Tresor.

I love ToK and when we're able to travel again, I'm going to have my husband drive me to a Mueller's or dm or whatever in Germany, just so that I can buy at least two bottles of ToK. I've put off trying this for so long and now I'm worried about the possibility of being without ToK.

cheekylisa

I wanted to like this, I really did. The great reviews convinced me to blind buy this off of amazon, plus the price was so low I thought hmmm WHY NOT? Well....this smells awfully cheap. I can't stand it. The first spray was so offensive it left me speechless. I would describe this as aqualina pink sugar that has expired. Once it dried down it gave off a "granny" or dated vibe. All the sweetness was gone and I got a strong gardenia or white flower scent. Honestly you're better off buying an urban outfitters or Zara fragrance if you're looking to save money. At least theirs won't make you smell cheap!

sparklyunicorn

I love this perfume y'all... I don't even care what it's 'supposed' to smell like, I know that when I run out of this I will buy a new one. It is sweet, deep, creamy, and at times almost menthol-y? Simply delicious. I love smelling myself when I wear this... longevity is fantastic and the price cannot be beat.

mimircks

This is what SNOW WHITE smells like! Berries in the snow.
Taste of Kiss has a lovely, berry opening that quickly gives way to the caramel & vanilla. I see that pear is listed in the top notes. Hmmm...totally missed that one. This lasts a good 5 or so hours & is date-night-worthy. It's dark & mysterious and sultry-sexy! Maybe, NOT Snow White, then, maybe the gorgeous wicked queen! Frankly, I haven't tried the comparable Tresor La Nuit, but once someone recommends a less expensive GREAT dupe, I'm done! No need to buy Tresor just to say I have Tresor! Taste of Kiss is completely satisfying but the name, tho.....LOL

Daisy_Adair

I think this is incredibly close to La Nuit Tresor! I'm so surprised at how sweet and delectable this smells for the price--I paid £8 for it basically and it lasts for about 5-6 hours. I'd say projection is also good, I can smell it on myself for quite some time before it turns into a skin scent, maybe 3 hours or so. For £8 and how gorgeous it smells, I'd say that performance like this is good!

I sense the praline/caramel mostly, then the strawberries, vanilla and lichee, and then I'd say the rest of the base notes are quite accurate in the dry down though I don't get that much coffee.

Overall if you like sweet, caramel and red fruit scents (or Lancome's LNT) then I think you'd really like this. I can't stop smelling myself when I wear it, it's very addictive!

Only thing I'd say is weird is the name....Taste of Kiss is not a great name for this unless you're kissing someone who just ate tons of caramel.

star~kitty

So I was an idiot. I bought this, smelled it, returned it. Then I grew to love LNT (I didn’t love it at first). I grew to love the almost incense-like jammy smell of La Nuit. Prior to my true love, I sold my samples of LNT.

SO, I decided to buy Taste of Kiss again, and I really love it. It’s very close to LNT and really unfolds in a lovely way. It gets sweeter and deeper after the first hour. Highly recommend.

AmTheLastUnicrn

I am testing 4 La Rive perfumes on my arms right now and this gem is shining through all the others. I don't have the Lancome one and with this, I don't feel like I need it. I am a gourmand-a-holic and I need help. I'm broke AF but am in love with perfume. This is so rich and sweet. I. Am. Living.

I have a nice collection of perfumes. About 30-40 so I'm not brand new but not an expert. I love this fragrance. Another banger from La Rive.

SuzanneS

A nice dupe for LaNuit. Im not a huge gourmand fan, but I do get the itch once in a while. This is a great way to get the vibe of LaNuit and see if you like it, or want something that you know you wont reach for often. Signature true is heavier and richer. This is great in the summer when you want a lighter effect. Layers with the other gourmands esp the Black Opium one. Under $15.

SweetLadyForOne

This one is fantastic!!! I'm wearing it now, and I'm in heaven. So good. Yummy! I also tried touch of woman, which was a total fail. But this one makes up for it. LOVE!!!

Mrsmooreavl

Very similar to Tresor La Nuit in scent but not in longevity. I don't smell any similarities to Sofia Vergara Love. If you like La Nuit, you will love this. I own both and love both. Lack of longevity doesn't bother me because it cost pennies compared to La Nuit. Performs like an EDT. I find most of the La Rive clones are similar to the authentic frags they are "inspired by" in the dominant notes. They capture the essence of the authentic, but fail to transition to the other notes. I like to spray La Nuit first and carry this gem in my bag for top ups throughout the day! Will repurchase again for sure along with any other La Rive clone that accompanies the authentic version I own!

Palmer Eldritch

Another compliment getter, simply delectable and sexy!

I smell like a vanilla, caramelly, fruity praline with patchouli in the base. It really smells so irresistible and perfect for the COLDEST days.

The longevity and silage are immensely impressive: it's been 10 hours and there are still traces of the perfume on my skin... And still so strong on my clothes!!
The first 2-3 hours the silage can fill the room, then it drops down to arms length, very noticeable.

It really smells 15 times more expensive than it is, a fantastic dupe for la nuit tresor, ACTUALLY I prefer this to LNT.

Very office safe and great for dates. Can't recommend enough.

NoraAdli

I absolutely adore this! I have had it for a month now after blind buying this and it delivers! I think I actually like this better than La Nuit Tresor as I find that one sickly sweet. I agree with LisIrishFleur, it definitely has a bit of a '70s/80's cherry-ish hairspray vibe to it, but for the most part on me, I smell, the praline, the strawberry, pear, and black rose (very very light black rose not overpowering at all). It is a safe blind buy I think, this is a quarter of the price of La Nuit Tresor but it smells super high quality and expensive. I would definitely recommend this as I always get compliments wearing it.

Latasha1984

I love this perfume!!! It lasts long smells amazing and the sillage is great!! The packaging was great the bottle is well made! And honestly I can’t even believe you could get such quality for so little money!!! Shhh don’t tell them they could sell this for a lot more lol. Let’s keep that to us!!!!

Nyrahe

OK i see that not everyone is satisfied with Taste of kiss so maybe I am wrong but to me this is Tresor la nuit in different packaging, different bottle , different name and, what´s best different price tag.

AMAZING!

If you love Tresor la nuit and you don´t have an excess money, definitely give it at least a try :)

Overall from my experiences I have to say La rive is great brand when it comes to creating cheap perfume dupes.

Tugboat

Has the same buttery coffee note as Black opium edp. Reminds me equally of that as of last nuit. Very pretty and inoffensive fruity coffee fragrance that (like BO and la nuit) shouldn't work, yet somehow does. I like it better as a clone than armaf signature true because of the strong litchi note.

LisIrishFleur

I love Lancome Tresor La Nuit. Which is peculiar because I don't care for gourmand perfum.
However, I don't like the price tag. Naturally, when I saw the "clone" and for just a few dollars. Why not? I've had "Kiss" for a while. I'm not a spray for the first time and ten minutes later I'm writing a review. I need to sit on it a while. Wear it, smell it, get to know it, think about it, "Kiss" is an okay perfum. It does"REMIND" me of La Nuit. But, it's definitely not a duplicate. It reminds me of the old aqua net hairspray from the 70''s-80's. It smells like a "cherry-ish" diluted, weak version of La Nuit. Has terrible longevity. No silage after 30 minutes. Also, where Lancome Tresor La Nuit smells like it's price tag. Unfortunately, Kiss does smell like it's price tag.
It's not a bad perfume for the price by any means. In it's own, it's worth the money. But, pales in comparison to La Nuit.
So, far the best "clone" for Tresór la Nuit is Armaf Signature True.

raiza1990

Great dupe for La Nuit Trésor! I actually find this one better. I don’t like the original. To me, it is sickening sweet, but this one is quite pleasant. It is surely sweet, but not sticky like LNT. Truth be said, it is also not as complex or expensive smelling, but it is still a great scent. The projection also impressed me.
To me, this is one of the best from La Rive and it is better than many more expensive offers.
I can actually imagine myself wearing this. Or buying it as a gift.
I recommend it to romantic and mysterious women. 20+
Thumbs up!
Final note:7,5/10

tc1203

I bought this one few months ago when it wasn’t on fragrantica data yet. I searched for notes ( La Rive given) and thought it would be dupe of La Nuit Tresor and I wasn’t wrong. When I received it, first spray it smelled like something I have smelled before but I couldn’t recall what it was. I got litchi as the strongest note. It smells fruity to me and not sweet at all.
It smells similar to La Nuit Tresor but may not a good dupe because it doesn’t have the good sillage as La Nuit Tresor as I know, it stays on my skin about 3-4hrs.
Anyway it is wearable for day time or even summer time as it has light fruity scent. Check it out and hope you guys enjoy it as I do .

sugaryrose

Incredible! I'm amazed by this fragrance! A great substitude for La Nuit Tresor (which is one of my favourites). Very seductive. Projection and longevity are awesome! It projects so far away that people at the other end of the room tell me they can smell my perfume! Longevity is 24 hours - until the next day and I can sometimes smell it even after taking my morning shower. Got many compliments wearing it. :) So, if you can't afford La Nuit Tresor, try this one! You will save a lot of money and smell as good.

PS: It's great for winter too. Even when temperatures are below 0, when it's icy and snowy, you can smell it!

lolalee

Disappointed in this one, I bought it after only smelling it once because I could tell it was a dupe of La Nuit Tresor, it smelled really nice and I was hoping it would be a very good dupe that's maybe a little lighter and easier to wear than the real thing.
But it's a lot lighter and doesn't have quite as much depth, and longevity on my skin is just ok (on hair I can still smell it a tiny bit the day after)

La Rive's Miss Dream and Fleur de Femme are so much better than this, they have insane lasting power and smell 99% like the original.

Today I walked through one spray of La Nuit Tresor and added a couple of sprays of this to my neck just to have a little something on my skin too, adding another spray of the original would be too much so I am gonna get some use out of this even though I don't love it.
