I purchased a 5 ml mini bottle for a really ridiculous price (like 0.7-0.8 € or so...) two years ago from a seemingly reliable source, so I consider it to be a factory miniature indeed. I did not have high hopes, though the S.T. Dupont scents I had tested before were quite nice (I actually really liked Passenger). Still, I am bit confused by this. Out of the bottle (well, even with closed cap) this smells so fresh, so cold, so crispy and so much soapy that I barely feel like I wanna wear it even though I like fresh soapy scents. Just like another reviewer wrote below, I also thought maybe this requires the real heats of mid-sommer. Wrong. Not even on the hottest days when one cannot really bear anything but aquatic, cold scents this felt to be too much. I did not even test it on skin, it smelled so nose-squeezingly sharp from the bottle, I always felt I have to wait for a day when I have mood for it. Today, on an early, still quite warm September day I decided to test it again. Well, well... This is not sweet. Not really, maybe just a little bit. The fruity headnotes faded away so quickly I could not even tell what those fruits were (and I have some raspberry and blackcurrant scents). They just "cheered up" the composition for a few minutes and were all gone. What I do get afterwards, is soapy musk. Some violet and cyclamen indeed, not much, just a slight floral undertone. This is a soap, a soapy soap, a little bit mature and oldfashioned, reminds me very much of Lumiere Blanche from Gres (which I have in a 100 ml tester). Well, it is bearable, some may even like it, and for the price I bought I do not even care if I end up throwing it away (together with decanted and factory samples I have a perfume wardrobe of some 240-250 scents). Or maybe I will keep it as on office desk drawer frag: something you can keep in your office (or car), just in case you need something to fresh you up after a long day when the perfume you sprayed on in the morning already faded away.

When I discovered this in the spring, I felt that it was going to be amazing in the heat since it felt like a super fresh, clean scent. I was getting whiffs of every note and the scent was evolving and lasting amazingly! The jasmine was crisp, the fruit notes came out fresh, but just a little sweet, it was getting a tad musky after a few hours... perfect scent to wear to the office, and I was so bummed out I couldn't find bottles bigger than 5 ml ... I tried it in higher heat when going to the office and I had a bit of a bad experience and I've been trying to understand what happened since: something in this turned it fishy to such a degree, that I had to go in the bathroom and wash it off.
Now that temps have gone down a bit, it's still lovely to wear, there's no fishy note there! I still have no clue what could have turned that note a few weeks back...
Edit: As of December, I ended up throwing it out. After 1 more wear I ended up feeling that fishy note again and couldn't shake it off no matter how hard I tried. I think it just wasn't for me.

Too acid musk with light fragrance of not an expensive soap. I truly had nice hopes..but.. I have realized how bad this musc is..when my blouse started to smell like some nudes were sitting on it.. hmhm..oopps. Like they used not enough of soap and their own odors are still standing out. More of soap note and less of musc would be better..
I had to wash my blouse. Dont know how to spend my bottle of 5 ml.

@bepisbest, You have no class either, leaving a review like this.

This is an everyday, generic smelling spring/summer fruity-floral. It's nice, soft and inoffensive, easy to wear in any possible situation. I imagine this is the perfect fragrance if you're not really into perfumes and just want something simple but beautiful that won't stand out. Blind buy and gift safe.

Nothing in common with signorina by ferragamo like a lot of people said. Signorina is a girly perfume, this is rich and very condimented. Maybe is just because I wear it like that but I see it only at a pants-blazer night suite with a gorgeous vintage pair of earrings. Nothing sexy in this perfume just class and a little dark vibe. Sweat...nah this smell a little like milk-cream but just a note at the beginning, but a note you always feel is coriander and maybe some oregano.

maya2000ro

I can see the resemblance with Signorina by Ferragamo but 58 Avenue is softer and more superficial (at least after it settles down). The first sniff was something like: "oooook, not really for my taste!".After a couple of minutes all that explosion calm down and a delicate and sweet fragrance emerged. It's a pity on my skin doesn't stay long,a couple of hours max.

Nikkafragrance

Unfortunately on me this is not sweet. It's mostly musk and fruits, dominated by lemon. It's fresh and safe for summer, but for me it's too sharp.

elibal

I wouldn't call it sweet - it's more fruity-flowery, fresh feminine. Surprisingly good and classy perfume, I love it and rate it very highly. High sillage of a classy expensive perfume.
Well done STDupont!

I waited with impatience to receive it. But when really tried it unfortunately it's an example of none compliance with personal feeling of the fragrance and personal tastes. Patchouli with pinacota is not the best mixture for me because it turns my stomach out. But I have segnorina EDT and I adore it. There is no patchouli there and I really enjoy wearing it.
I bought this perfumes because I remember to try it several years ago in one of duty free shops in an airport. But I think it was a limited edition of 58 avenue Montaigne and not this one.
I wanted to enjoy this fragrance because the reviewers votes for the resemblance with segnorina EDP but unfortunately it's not for me and segnorina EDP is apperently different from EDT. So it makes me fill sick. But I enjoy other ST Dupont fragrancies and my favourite is passenger for women.

tommy_girl

not sure how would panacotta smell in perfumes, but this one smells very nice and very similar to one of my ex-signatures GF ferre lei-her. this is very fresh, with fruits dominant notes.at first I thought I smelt something like pear, then I thought it's litchi. non of my guesses are listed here, whatever it is,it's very fresh and nice.
the long lasting power and sillage are acceptable too. so this is a great choice for fresh fruity floral fans.

kakaka2

Well, I had a little higher expectations for this one... I feel it is just a strong initial blast of not very realistic black currant and not much more. I feel a metallic taste accompanying the scent form the very beginning to the soon end of its short life on my skin. It is disappointingly short lasting and I have to admit S.T. Dupont offer a rather mediocre experience with this perfume.

Edit: This fragrance has amazing staying power on fabric. It is so long lasting that I dare to spray it only when I am wearing a specific T-shirt, so that it won't "mark" all my clothes :) I was honestly surprised to find out it doesn't wash, it really stays after a full washing cycle and this happened twice, so it should not be a coincidence. So, to all 58 Avenue Montaigne lovers, congratulations, this scent will always hover around!

I bought this perfume today! and each minute that pass it likes me more!

I went to the shop looking for a fragrance to the winter but I found this adorable scent and I change my mind.

It ss fresh, sweet and tender !!! my colegues and my husband notice immediately and said that is very nice.

I think is very easy to use, and I hope it has a good lasting because is EDP, I still dont know.

note: After using it I can say that on my skin dont last more than 2 hours :( ,
On the clothes got a better result

Wilka

Definitely, an elegant, urban fragrance. For the time being, I've just got 2 samples but I'm determined to buy 58 Avenue Montaigne pour Femme asap!

I wanted to try this one more time before I wrote a proper review and I was hoping to change my impressions.
So first I liked this Dupont scent on blotter, then I tested it on skin - I didn't smell this leather note that some people find, but a very well blend of black currant, musk and jasmine. An elegant, not offensive perfume, suitable for every day wearing. The lasting power disappointed me - on my skin lasted no more than 40 min. and it was gone.
After a while I read here about the great staying power and this kept bugging me. Today I've tested it againg and the result was the same. It's such a pitty, because I like the scent.

MiaStar

This was not a pleasant experience. It smells of lemons and chemicals. I think I must have tried an old bottle of this scent as I can't imagine a company coming out with something that smelt so vile :(

Удивительный запах.

not so sexy but nice

RoRoSe

I am surprised that no leather or Suede note .. this is smells as new leather jacket .. sweet & luxury ..
reminds me of the sweetness of E.A 5th Avenue or T.L Lapidus woman..
I guess it's the cyclamen note which is very intensive here ..

great sillage and lasting power too

Red Rose

This one smells great, it's flowery but so chic & classy, kinda sweet too in the drydown. I have it now but I suggest to try before you buy & never buy anything as a blind buy no matter what as what I may like, other people simply may not. I didn't test this on my skin only on my clothes.
update 5th March 2013:
is it just me or does this fragrance going rancid? it smells so diffrent now after only one year of purchase. I smell something like rotten fruits or like rust? is it because the weather is crazy hot where I live?

Alexandrarae

The notes sound stunning - will be making a beeline to try this one. Love the bottle too. Hope it is sold in Australia - so many of the really lovely ones don't make it here. We like to smell beautiful too! (Perfume companies please note).
