Creamy, delicate rose but it does not work with my skin.
After 1h it is gone. I can not detect any smell.

This is a gorgeous fresh creamy rose! I love it. Such a lovely perfume. I love love love it, and it lasts so well, about 8 hours, and I get so many compliments. It's the most gorgeous perfume.

I just blind bought this on Swedish ebay. At first I found it a bit watered down and didn't like it much. Then I tried it again today, and I get a definite grass or hay note! - which I really like, now that I've figured it out so to speak.

There is something so natural and real about this fragrance. Real roses, real hay, rain and peonies. Very lovely.

This fragrance is the most perfect rose scent I've ever smelled! So fresh, feminine, well-balanced and complex! Fresh, beautiful roses and peony with a hint of pink pepper and the sweetness of raspberry...hmmm...I'm sooo in love!!! I get compliments on this all the time both from women and men. This is my signature scent now, I use it for work and for dates and for every leisure activities. For evening occasions I reccomend its bigger sister, Stella. That one is absolutely perfect too! ^^

I admit I had high expectations for this fragrance. Based on its notes, I thought I was going to love it. While it is pleasant, it is too lemony for me. I smell rose somewhere far away. I was hoping for more prominent rose. I like it but not love it.

I love the smell of this Stella Sheer, BUT - the downfall of this perfume is the longevity and power. The smell isn't very noticeable after a couple of hours, and when you do detect it, it smells weak and watered-down.

& slightly creamy vanilla-like.
very pretty feminine scent.
Some similarity with her SM one, except this one has that vanilla-closer to the skin scent. Since vanilla's not listed guess it's higher amber concentration I keep on smelling.
Like, Like & like!

This is my favorite Stella Sheer. So Rosey and beautiful! Not too overpowering. Not the faintest bit 'grandma' in the field of rosey scents.

This is a very fresh rose with more than a hint of peony. Like a morning dew on a rosebud.

I like the smell itself. I think it's a safe option for everyday use. I also like to spray it several times and then add a spray of Burberry Brit Red for slightly more dramatic effect.

A beautiful well-blended floral with prominent rose. Not "me" enough to wear out, but lovely for a day off at home. With thanks to Sofia for decanting this fragrance.

I love the scent of roses in nature, but when it comes to fragrances, rose tends to smell too heavy, too syrupy and too bold. I didn't like the original Stella because it was far too rich for my tastes, however, Stella Sheer 2008 is a completely different story.

This fragrance is a lighter, more watered-down rose, with Spring-like hints of sweet, jammy raspberry, pink pepper and soft, white musk. It's the type of fragrance that I enjoy wearing on a daily basis because it's light, pretty and casual.

Stella Sheer 2008 is a layered composition in the sense that it keeps you guessing what you'll be smelling next. It's a fun, flirty and feminine fragrance that reminds me of the fruity rose in Annick Goutal's Quel Amour!

To my nose, this fragrance is delicious and clean, like the scent of expensive, rose-scented shampoo. The soft muskiness, provides a smooth base on the skin, that is both natural and delicate. I think this fragrance would work best in Spring and Summer, however it is also has a soothing quality that makes it irresistible for bed time wear.

Thankfully I can still purchase this fragrance from my Priceline pharmacy for a good price. It was supposed to be a limited edition replaced by 2009, 2010 and 2011 versions. I'm very glad to still be able to get my hands on this gem of a fragrance.

I bought this today 1/2 price and was unable to test it but not disappointed. I don't have a rose based frag and this fits the bill. Smells like a rose in my garden. The pepper and musk keep it from becoming too sweet. I usually like stronger scents but this one is a keeper.

Happyme2009

This version of Stella is pure softness, a bit cold and distant, very feminine and proud. Rosy, dewy, with very strong pink pepper undertones. It's a pink rose after the rain, dripping wet, with greenery oozing their freshness.
Despite the softness, when sprayed generously, it has amazing silage and decent lasting power.
It almost a fresh blossom soliflore, but not quite; pepper, peony and green leaves and delicately part of the concoction.
Being a rose lover, I cannot help myself but appreciate the virginal purity it eludes.
It resembles the Ecume de Rose from the Rosine line, as well as Miracle by Lancome. If you like those two, you will adore this one.
I know I am enjoying it! And it's strong enough to collect compliments all the time. And all this, thanks to the lovely NathalieZ! Thank-you, NathalieZ!

Simple and complex, youthful and elegant, all at the same time, this scent got my attention (as well as the fact that it reminds me of wedding flowers!). The peony, freesia, and rose trio is stunning and powerful. The three flowers are constantly interacting, mingling, and giving a consistent, uniform scent, as well as variety, and movement within the scent, just between themselves. I only find the pink pepper as a silent player, it's there, not as an individual note, but, always acting in the scent, livening and lightening the scent. The rasperry is very quiet, too. It's just a thin, thin juice, not sugary or syrupy. I imagine the musk to be a "white musk", it's soft, clean, and fresh. The musk I could sense at the very beginning, and at the very end. Oh, and the end..the drydown is a delicate feminine whisper of musk and flowers. The sillage is intense to begin with, it's very airy and but loud, but settles down quickly, and it is just right for hot weather!

A rose bush near my previous home had lavender-pink flowers and the most amazing fragrance. It smelled like a blend of Rose, Apricot and Raspberry. I'm not usually a fan of solifleur Rose or of strong Fruit. But i'd love to find a perfume that smells like this rose bush, not gourmand, yet rosy and fruity. The scent of those roses uplifted my often gloomy spirits.

Someone suggested Sheer Stella 2008. Since it is a limited edition, it is out of production and hard to find. An eBay vendor was selling multiple bottles of Sheer Stella - year not specified - using a photo of the 2008 edition. I wrote asking if it looked as advertised. They said, no, that was a stock photo. Stock photo? Impossible! The box and the bottle are redesigned for each limited edition!

I purchased from another vendor who specified 2008, but i was still a bit worried. My order of Sheer Stella arrived a few days ago, and it really was the 2008 edition. That was a relief!

I sprayed some on my arms... and i was disappointed. It smelled of ordinary tea rose and citrus with a little "green", a bit cheap and overbearing. Plus i kept tasting "lemon" - was it the cintronellol, the citral, the limonene, or the linalool listed on the box? I have the same problem with natural lemon verbena fragrance - the taste stays in my mouth for hours and hours and hours. I was unhappy. I was sad. :-(

Today I put on the same shirt and the scent of rose that lingered was so very appealing! So i decided to give Sheer Stella 2008 another try. This time it smelled richly rosy and fruity, although i didn't smell the berries specifically, and no "lemon" taste in my mouth. It was pleasantly complex, not just 2 or 3 boring notes. While the rose dominated, it was supported by non-specific fruity and green notes. As the day wore on, the berry scent grew stronger, while the green subsided.

I don't know if the difference is the weather - it's much cooler today - or my body chemistry. But i'm quite fond of it and i keep sniffing my arms. It isn't the rose i am looking for, so i'll keep up the hunt for my apricot raspberry rose. But it's a good addition to my "fragrance library" and a very nice change from my usual fragrances.

There are several other roses with apricot i intend to try. I suspect i may end up layering one of the apricoty fragrances and Sheer Stella 2008 to get closer to "my" rose.

I liked it - a delicate floral, with light, rain dripping flower scents... The only reason I didn't buy it was cos it turned too green on me.

Mitsouko

It smells as summer morning in the garden. In these perfume I feel raspberrys, roses, grass. This smell is very natural, adorably subtle, femine. Pretty. Though I prefer smells enough sophisticated, even hard, Stella 2008 pleases me from day on day more and more.
