Chipboard Post-It Tutorial

you will need 2 coasters / Bierdeckel, Designer Paper, CS, double sided tape, scoring tool, scissor, ribbon and a post-it note block.
1) cut your DP to size 6x6. I was able to use up a lot of my scraps and score each side at 1"

I adhered a tiny piece of double sided tape in the center, just to hold the coaster in place while i was wrapping the paper around the coaster. Fold corners first in, this gives you rounded corners. You can wrap it as you would wrap a present - that will give you pointed corners. Adhere with double sided tape.

finish all 4 sides, so it will look like this:

front:

Next you want to make the inside were you can attach the post-it note. Cut a piece of matching CS to size 7 15/16" by 3 3/4". Now if you want it exactly, you will need to score at 3 13/16 flip the CS and score again at 3 13/16. I wanted mine with more hight for the ticker post-it block and for a pen so i scored mine at 3 3/4. Just try what works best for you and with the kind of pen you might want to add.
adhere the paper to the coaster

Here is a view of the inside.

Handmade Photoalbum Instructions

Supplies:

Designer Paper and matching CS, Crop-A-Dile, Glue, Bamboo-Stick, elastic hairband, a wire (used the one from my toast), Velcro, Stickers

Zutaten: gemustertes Papier, passender Karton, Crop-a-Dile, Klebstoff (Uhu Klebestift), Schaschlikspiess, Haargummi, Draht, Klettverschluss, Aufkleber

Hint: i highly reccomend stickers instead of any high embellishments like ribbons, brads or prima flowers. I also would like to suggest you make one album first to see how thick it gets before adding more layers cause if you add your pictures 4 pages the album will be big. You can always just use 3 pages if you like more layering.

Cut two coordinating pieces of DP in half to make fourx 12" x 6" pieces. Put two of the four aside for a second album.

Cut 1/2" off the short side so your DP is 11 1/2 x 6 tall.

Now score the two sheets vertically at 4.5", 5", 9.5" and 10". See the upper piece of CS on my board? Thats the side i would like to show on the outside of my album the striped one will be in the inside so i will have this side facing me when i score the paper.

Glue both pieces together.

Kleben Sie beide Papiere zusammen.

Fold the Album, eventually you will have to add more glue on some spots.

Make a pencil mark at 1" from the top and the bottom edge of the 1.5" flap. Than make a diagonal cut from this mark to the first score line.

In the middle of your spine punch a hole 1/2 inch from the top and the bottom line with your crop-a-dile.

Place your velcro dot so it will close the cover. I used in addition some stickers out of my simply scrapping kit.

At this point you can embellish the outside of your cover too.

Cut 4 sheets of matching CS to 5.5 x 4.75

Fold in half like you would do with a card.

Falten Sie die Stuecke in die Halfte. Now punch a hole from the top and the bottom at the 1/4 mark in all 4 pieces.

Use your scraps to decorate the inside of you album.

Deshalb niemals Papier in Muelleimer schmeissen.

An other view of one decorated page. I left this one quite plain compared to my Magnolia-Album-Version cause i am planning to add more pictures in this one.

Cut your bamboo stick to 6" down
Schneiden Sie ihren Schaschlik-Spiess auf 6" Laenge zu.

Thread your hairband trough the holes (pages and cover)

Schieben Sie ihr Haargummi durch die Seiten und Albumcover

Put your bamboo stick into the loop on the outside of your book spine.

Now use the little wire to pull the other side of the hairband through the holes.

Move your wooden stick into this loop and take the wire away.

You can decorate the bamboo stick with ribbons

I have been tagged...

Jo has tagged me with the Middle Name Game! These are the rules
You must post the rules before you give your answers.
You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name.
After you've been tagged, you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers.
At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details.
I do not have a Middle name and my maidenname is waaaaay too long so i use my last name: Rosa!
R = restless.. i can never sit still for long time.
O = Opel (drove that car in Germany)

S = shopper (as you can tell loooove to buy craft supplies)
A = my moms name is Astrid (miss her way too much)
and this game took me waaay to long, cause i dont feel like my english is good enough:-) hope this is okay?
i would like to tagg Ila, Terrie B, Suzanne, All Pink Girl and Marlou (just because of the language)
Thank you

Heart" 3x3-notebox with lid

This weeks Challange at Papertake is "Hearts Desire". So your creation has to have a heart on it. This is what i made. The little box has hearts on the patterend paper, so i hope it is okay for the challange and for the 3x3 notecards i used my Cuttlebug Die and punched first the chipboard out and than the Designer Paper. I wanted the notecard not too fancy so i only added a prima flower to the heart. For stamping i used "Carte Postale" (words and the little flower branch). I hope you like my "non-cute" :-) work, too. Thanks for looking, today

just noticed on Frans blog, it works for the Stampin up Challange as well. Here you go:

I was not able to make pictures from each step on how to make the box but here are the instructions i have found online and i was able to finish my box with. Instructions
1) For the base of the box cut a sheet of cardstock to 5 3/8″ x 8″ and score along the short side at 1″. Flip the cardstock 180 degrees, then score on the other end at 1″.
2) flip cardstock 90 degrees, then score along the long side at 3 1/4″. Rotate 180 degrees, then score the other end at 3 1/4″.
3) Fold along the score lines, using a bone folder to help achieve a crisp, clean edge. Then cut along the 3 1/4″ score lines just until you reach the 1″ score line as shown in the picture below.
4) Place a small strip of double sided tape or sticky strip along the outside top edge of the small flap. Keeping your box bottom flat on the table, fold up one side of the box. Place a strip of double sided tape or sticky strip along the edge (on the inside) of each of the long flaps.
5) Again keeping your box bottom flat, fold up the other side of the box. box flaps do not overlap completely

6) For the lid, cut a sheet of cardstock to 4 - 3/8″ x 2 - 9/16″. Score at 1/2″.
7 ) Score at 1/2″ along the remaining 3 sides.
8) Fold along the score lines, again using a bone folder to get a crisp, clean edge. Cut on the score lines along the short side of the cardstock, just until you reach the intersecting score line
9 ) Fold the smaller flaps to the inside and tape to the side flap as shown below. Repeat on the other side.
finished
