Please can someone offer advice on this?

I came to the States to visit my fiance, in August. We planned to finish organising paperwork for our fiance visa while I was here. Well, we ended up tying the knot on our anniversary. I know this is not recommended but we are now intending to adjust my status while still here. I will NOT be going back to the UK.

We are reading conflicting advice on which forms to submit for this process. Could anyone clear it up for us?

I hope you didn't get married less than 60 days after your arrival because you may be in trouble

That's the old fallacy of the 60/90 rule that doesn't actually exist, isn't it?

OP, you're totally fine to adjust, many others have done it successfully by following the guide suggested. I'm near the end of my own journey doing the same as you are proposing to do.

11/29/12 - AOS Interview in Atlanta - 10 minutes long and approved on the spot.

Ok, you said any questions!

The forms keep asking for my I-94 arrival/departure number. As I entered on an ESTA to visit my fiance (our marriage was unplanned) I didn't fill in a I-94 on entry. Visa waiver doesn't require it. What do I out in it's place? Anything?

N/A means "Not applicable." Also, your title says "AOS from tourist visa." As you entered on the Visa Waiver Program, you are not here on a tourist visa at all, but rather the VWP.

Can I, having entered on ESTA, submit I-131 (app to travel) even if I don't have any travel plans in mind? I want to be able to get back to England if anyone in my family was ill. The form seems to be asking only about intended trips.

Can anyone shed any light?

In the process of doing the same exact thing as you. My husband entered in June under VWP and we married in Sept. We followed the checklists from this site to complete our application packets, which someone provided the link to above.

You'll also need to have a physical done by a civil surgeon, there's a list on the USCIS website. Make sure you call around to find out how much the total cost will be with vaccinations. Also, if you can get your vaccination records, get them so that they won't have to give you an extra blood test to screen for the ones you've already had (more $$$).

On the I-485 we wrote N/A where it asked for I-94 arrival/departure number and wrote "Visitor under VWP" where it asked for Current USCIS Status and wrote in the expiry date written on his passport stamp. Make sure to include a photo copy of the passport entrance stamp with your packet.
