Mmmmm spicier, sexier alien.. I just envision the most cunty extraterrestrial imaginable. Definitely out of this world

Bryacynth

I really, really wanted to like this one. It sounded perfect for me on paper, so I ordered a sample and it was so overpowering right off the bat. Then it just smelled strange on my skin, and the smell lasted forever. Not to mention giving me a headache. This is probably all just about me, but I'm so bummed that I didn't love it.

Princess__manatee

This is my favourite iteration of alien, for me the projection is mammoth, warm and sweet white florals without being powdery or cloying, it’s fun and spicy without being heavy

Graciegrace

This is the only Aliens i like. Smells nice, warm, sweet enough. Girly, young, cheerful, energetic vibes. Easy everyday scent for like running errands or casual hangouts. Careful when spraying in hot weather though, can see it making me dizzy.

ghoulish.loser

my absolute favorite fragrance. the spiciness of the ginger/cinnamon mixed with the sweetness of vanilla is a perfect blend for my skin. it feels very sexy and full while not being overbearing or artificial. perfect for a fall night. i find that it lasts very well for me. the smell still lingers on my sheets and clothes the next morning and i have been told i leave a little trail wherever i go lol.

i originally found it when i was in my mid to late teens and i was immediately obsessed with it but it didnt really work for me at the time. but now that im in my 20s, it's perfect and i hate that it was discontinued. i personally dont find it similar to any of mugler's other fragrances, as theyre more floral to me, i wish they would have kept this one.

Lilasthefrenchgirl

I would not recommend to people who arent a fan of heavy deep and overpowering scents. My friend bought me this perfume and i just cant get myself to like it. Its really strong and has unusual flavours however thats what makes people turn heads. I would see this scent being worn at a fashion show or at a grammys award or even at a vip club. Overall, this scent represents power and wealth however it gives me a headache.

fuzzypeach

Could never get this to work for my nose — sweetly spiced, animalic white floral should be an easy win for me but this always ended up so muddled on my skin. I got very frustrated with it and gave my bottle away. Definitely very Mugler, though…feminine, loud, rich. Jealous of anyone who can get that cinnamon note to really come through from this.

violetaura

To me this smells exactly like the original Alien EDP except with a slightly spicier top note- being the ginger and cinnamon, and slightly softer jasmine underneath- being the orange blossom (which is just that) and tuberose. The ginger is not as strong as the ginger in Jimmy Choo illicit, because in Fusion it does fade away, and begins to smell just like the original Alien even more.
Can't see why someone who loves Alien would dislike this. I just think there is extra warmth in Alien with the cashmere midnote, and I love that longwear on my clothes (Fusion doesnt last as long!). But perhaps someone who isn't 100% sold on Alien, but still fascinated by it, could try Fusion.

lolllee2nd

I ordered some samples based on common notes I like in other scents, and I should have liked this. Though I've never cared for the original Alien so maybe I should have known better and stayed away. Fusion was a spicy version of Flowerbomb for me, just a huge nauseating blast of strong black pepper and sickly sweet orange blossom. The notes say the peppery note is ginger but it smelled so strongly of black pepper to me, so strong I tasted it. After a 1/2 hour it started to back off, but not much, and I found the vanilla, amber and tuberose, but by then the strong pepper had burned my nose and my skin, which actually turned red. I couldn't stand it longer than an hour and repeatedly washed my wrists but I can still smell (and taste) the pepper.

I just finished my bottle I had for about a year. While I love the scent, I probably won’t repurchase. I didn’t reach for this as much as I would have preferred. I find the entire Alien line is unfortunately too weak overall for me. Perhaps my dry desert environment or body chemistry just don’t work with the new formulations, but all my aliens and flankers required me to overspray and reapply every 4-6 hrs to keep the scent going. It’s just too much work, and frankly, though the price isn’t insane, I expect better performance. I thought there was something wrong with me but I find most of my other perfumes perform much better without issue. This scent would disappear without a trace after a few hours and almost never stuck around until the next day on clothing.

This scent is very nice though. To me, it smelled like a slightly warmer version of the original with a ginger spice vibe. The ginger felt similar to the Versace Crystal Noir or L’interdit rouge ginger. I’m a tuberose junkie (carnal flower hyper realistic warm creamy style, not cold sharp vintage aquatic style), and honestly I had no clue there was tuberose in this flanker throughout using the entire bottle. I thought it was spiced OG Alien jasmine.

If I wasn’t a frag head with a huge collection and long wish list of overpriced niche bottles, I’d probably continue to buy/wear this scent, but I have so many other scents to try, and I own a few scents with similar vibes already. This one kind of disappears in my mind among the more exciting other options. It also overall felt like it lacked complexity. I kind of felt like I was layering a couple of body sprays. It isn’t a rich complicated scent that goes through stages and morphs depending on mood and weather. It has no rich lingering base note to ground it. It’s very “top note ginger, middle is alien jasmine-like.” It’s consistent and somewhat simple, but definitely more exciting and more quality smelling than any cheap basic scent, body spray, or dupe.

Overall nice and enjoyable but I’d be more curious to see a richer and more complex formulation with added depth and great performance.

Opening is very sharp, spicy but after like 2-3 mins its changing to alien dna. Still can detect some spicyness and later also wanilla. Its warmer than og alien thanks to wanilla. I love og alien but need "that day" to weare it. This version I think will be more wearable.

silverlocusts

Lots of delicious OG Alien DNA with a little something extra. It isn't as syrup-sweet like the Goddess flanker line; similarly, it is a lot more nuanced than the jasmine-vanilla of the latter as well. Once Fusion dries down, the cinnamon and ginger give it a slightly powdery feel, which I think is a very welcome addition to the Alien line. It is so sad that this was such a short lived flanker because it is so unique, even with the references to the original. I don't think any companies are making flankers anymore and that is pretty tragic in its own right. If this fragrance were released today, I think it would do really well as it is in line with what is popular (sweet with white floral) without being samey. Don't they realize that the Mugler that pushed back against the mainstream sells as well as whatever jasmine syrup concoction they come up with? I know I sound like a broken record but it boggles the mind. It must just be so much cheaper to produce simpler things and convince folks they're good.

francesco_grieco

Alien Fusion by Mugler is an unequivocally sensual fragrance. Its centerpiece is a luscious tuberose, and it seamlessly weaves together spicy, amber, and sweet accords. This masterful blend of notes creates an enchanting and harmonious composition.

ArlissLux

this bright red bottle is so gorgeous!
on the first spray i get a soft cinnamon and ginger but then it slowly fades within 10 minutes.
it then dries down to some amber with some sweetness. i'd say fusion is a more tolerable version of the OG alien.
don't get me wrong, i like the OG alien (clarins formula) but i have to be in a certain mood to wear that one.

sadly, the staying power of this is pretty weak. i have to reapply every 4 hours.
maybe it'll perform better during the colder months.

edit: this isn't for me. i liked it at first but it's just so underwhelming. i ended up selling.

Latetothescene

While they vibe the same, I do find rouge malachite a scent of it's own. Much stickier, much creamier, much thicker. Fusion for me is more Translucent, more airier.

Alien Fusion. I much much Prefer this to the original (both clarins version, bottom claw or Alien).

Let me Tell you about performance, Clarins version. It's fills an entire room. If you really want to know how a frag performs, don't test it on yourself. Test it on a friend. And fabric. (for instance, your washable footrug).

I've just sprayed some wood in the fireplace and it is projecting atleast 6 meters. I kid you not. In the scentcloud i mostly get cinnamon, tuberose or white flowers, pink pepper and lot's of VANILLA. (Some get ginger, I don't , never have never will and I owned quite a few ginger heavy frags, for me it's pepper)
I sprayed that same wood also the day before in the afternoon (it's morning now) and let me tell you...that drydown! It was projecting maybe 3 meters and I thought, where is that divine vanilla scent coming from? Do I own a straight up vanilla? Me thinks not.

Vanilla lovers, you KNOW what kind of vanilla i'm talking about! The vanilla in Lune Feline drydown, the vanilla in the drydown of mon guelain intense if you need specifics. Yes, that perfect, classy airy vanilla. OMG. I've been a fusion fan since it came out. Still got a back up bottle and no regrets. I was sniffing those logs like an addict. If you don't get vanilla out of it, try it on clothes or whatever you want. Trust me. You'll see.

The drydown on skin is a bit more powdery as with a lot of frags. Still gorgeous! Lasts forever and ALWAYS get's me compliments from any age. I don't find this a nineties perfume at all! And i've lived those, not in diapers. To my dismay, I'm 46. Luckily I look ten years younger and dress like a twenty something. Sorry, ego talking. 🤪

I prefer niche, I hate perfumey perfumes which are in abundance in the designer world and this is just heaven. Nothing alcohol perfumey, could easily be niche. Anyway, that's my take. Just emptied my second large bottle. Third bottle i Will keep hidden for a while.
A real shame they discontinued this scent. All good things must come to an end...

Edit, two weeks after spraying those logs, they still smell like a gorgeous peppery vanilla. 😳

Luckyrose

I’m not a fan of OG alien ( smells like temples - Jasmine used for praying )
This flanker smells like a big warm comforting hug.
A very well rounded fragrance. Stunner.

So unfortunate that this has been discontinued.

imegaphone

If you love Alien (I do), you might not like Alien Fusion, so it's not worth hunting down (discontinued). Alien Fusion smells a bit like cinnamon bubblegum in the opening (pleasant), but then there's a prominent medicinal note with a syrupy scent that smells like urine, so it just ends up smelling like an unfortunate old lady (wearing a floral perfume) in a nursing home who needs a diaper change :( I've painted a sad picture, I know :( but I've had a 60ml bottle of this for 2 years and I just couldn't wear it anywhere other than at home because of this, I loved it for maybe a month when I first got it and then it just started smelling bad to me, I tried it in all the seasons and it just didn't work.

Rcates78

So you have this friend, Ali, who's cousin (let's call her Fiona) is visiting from out of town for the holidays, and you guys are all headed out for dinner. She's maybe only a year older than your friend, but she's a decade more mature, carries a few more pounds on her frame, has a sharp, intelligent wit, wears a bit less makeup, and prefers cashmere to leather. She, like Ali, doesn't smile easily, but she gives you a sincere "it's a pleasure" and a hug when you meet her. After a glass of wine and some appetizers you find she's warm and friendly, self-assured without hubris, and a comfortable conversationalist. After dinner, Ali is game to hit up the hip local night spot but Fiona calls it and catches an uber home - she's got a good book waiting for her and a brunch date in the morning.

There's not much left to say about Mugler's Alien (Ali) that hasn't already been said. She's iconic... a confident, serious, bombshell of a perfume. Fusion (Fiona) while also out of many wearers' leagues, is easier to be around and more approachable. I find Fusion to be cozy and warm (the ginger, cinnamon, and vanilla are balanced so well, IMHO), rather than bubbly and sultry (like the pillar). It doesn't last as long as the OG, but I'm wearing it in the summer just now. Would probably stick around longer in the winter. If you, like me, love the OG but find it a bit much for frequent wear, try Fusion (if you can find it). I'm bummed I can't find a full bottle anywhere...I keep ordering samples. :(

joikgirl

Another blind buy! This is my first Mugler fragrance and I had been looking for this one everywhere, just to test but eventually found 30ml on Notion and it was on sale..well.

I really like it. First hit and it’s a cinnamon bomb, with a hint of white florals, but it’s not overpowering like some warm spices may be at first. After like 10-15 minutes it goes to more white floral and less cinnamon. But the funny thing on to me it goes soapy after 30 minutes, personally I don’t enjoy soapy scents but it’s a scented soap so all good. On skin lasts long but on clothing not that much.

Like some others here it does smell like a vintage fragrance, 90s for sure. I see myself wearing it every season, it’s not only a colder weather fragrance like most warm spices are.

DiscoPolga

OK, so I'm one of the few reviewers who didn't smell the magic. I bought it based on the notes and all the positive feelings in the comments and unfortunately, it's a no for me. Spice bomb in the opening, the cinnamon is done beautifully and it lingers for 10-15 minutes - but I can't shake the feeling it has a vintage vibe. I was waiting for the white floral heart, which on me never manifested. It went straight from the spice to amber. I find this fragrance has a dusty, powdery quality and can be suffocating.

Ceevee963

I purchased this a few years ago when I started to really get into perfume. Unfortunately I didn't love it and it sat in my cabinet until my 6yo son noticed the bottle. He said it looked like Iron Man and asked to have it. One day at church, I noticed an amazing smell and instantly recognized it as Alien Fusion. My son had put it on and the harshness I originally smelled on myself was nowhere to be found on his skin. It didn't smell feminine at all on his skin. The warm spices and soft vanilla really came through and I couldn't stop sniffing him.

BTW, this happened in the middle of summer. I pegged this as a fall/winter scent but it really shines in the heat, so I will try this out on my own skin for a date night soon.

Luckyrose

Finally got my hands on this!!! This stands beautifully on her own and i can’t believe this will be discontinued! PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

This fragrance was love at first sight.

brandybasisty

I'm kicking myself for selling this one. Candied ginger and orange blossom with toothy cinnamon bark that subtly compliments the spiciness. Tuberose is at the center of this and adds a solar creaminess. So delicious for summer evenings. I get arm's length wafts for 6-8 hrs. Some folks say you don't need this one if you have Rouge Malachite, but I love this scent profile so much that they might be distinct enough for me- AF lacks the clary sage note that gives an earthy muskiness to RM, and RM is missing the candied solar quality of AF.

fyre92

Also you will stop smelling this but others won’t. Stop putting more on lol

fyre92

This smells like someone pour Lolita Lempicka Sweet over Alien EDT with a dash of ginger(not much at all).

hblakes70

This is sooooo much better than the original to me and sadly I didn’t
discover this until 8/22, they already stopped making it! So for the past year I’ve been buying bottles
Off of eBay and Mercari. I’ve bought about four bottles the last year and a half.

Sadly my first was a loreal grr. The rest were, Finally the og clarins made….

Omg it’s Beautiful! I don’t get it!?
out of all the aliens how they could discontinue THIS one!?
and the people with negative
Reviews ? I don’t get you. Ha
Watch Mila perfume reviews she loved this one too and she was a major alien lover!?

This? I can immediately smell the ginger and the cinnamon yes there is orange blossom but not overly done !
it helps the spice to pop! And the tuberose rolling about the spices? Lovely not overly done! So feminine so sexy so perfect! I was a Poison lover for like 20 plus years! This perfume? Bumped my poison off the top of the list….and it’s gone

I’m literally annoyed AF at Mugler/Loreal …I’m dealing with dupe oil houses but no one can get this spot on.

people said Linterdit Rouge is close? Nope!! I’m just tired of buying it overpriced on Mercari 😢
Grrr BRING THIS BACK!!!! And Mugler??! Pls buy your perfumes back!!! Loreal sucks with perfume!!!

xoxoMyke

Love the original Purple Mother.

A former coworker wore it religiously to work and she always smelled divine and "friendly." Even when she was out on smoke breaks, I could smell Alien ~5 feet from her cubicle. She was the one that finally got me "in to" Thierry Mugler fragrances.

Flashfoward through finding my holy grail fragrance Womanity and a plethora of other Thierry Mugler titulars and their flankers to Alien Fusion. I waited too long to try Fusion and I was forced to purchase an over-priced used tester bottle from a private seller on eBay. The tester bottle is refillable by-the-way, which caught me by surprise.

The Fusion Sister opens with high energy, sci-fi-laser-esque ginger note and metallic-like spices. I kept "looking" for the red cinnamon gum or 'canela' accords others have mentioned in their reviews. All I got was a rather suffocating fresh spiciness with an even more powdery Alien DNA lurking behind. Shortly, within 20 minutes, the original Alien DNA base emerges but with added powder and the laser-y spiciness echoing on the edges.

Not a fan, but I will keep testing.

felised

Soapier (even more so than the reformulated version), dolled-up Alien made more appealing to the masses. The biggest difference, at least on me, is that this is an orange blossom perfume. I don't get a whole lot of tuberose in this but I guess it's in the blend somewhere. The opening can be a little sharp and screechy, you definitely get the ginger, though not sure about the cinnamon since it doesn't really have the warmth I associate with the spice. Smells kind of synthetic at times, but I do like it. Not a difficult/indolic white floral at all, I think anyone can pull this off and it does get some compliments. Longevity and sillage are not as good as pre-reformulation Alien but still decent, I get a solid projection for at least 6-7 hours into wear.

Atomikbomb_

I sent some samples of this to my best friend because she kinda likes Alien...but thinks it's too much to commit to because it's so loud...yet loves white florals and adores ginger. So, you know, fits as a candidate for Fusion absolutely perfectly...at least on paper.

She doesn't love it, she literally says - "Yeah, it's ok!", but I enjoy it more than she does.

It's TROPICAL! I'll be danged if it isn't! It smells like frangipani flowers along with a *light* (not heavy, plant-y, green or indolic) tuberose. Honestly, it catapults straight into the florals, there is *no* opening, it's all middle notes, all at once.

I'm not sure what my deal is, because this doesn't smell like orange blossom to me, just frangipani/plumeria and tuberose, with warm undertone. Not vanillic actually, just fuzzy warm musk. If you've smelled Aerin's "Amber Musk" you might know what I mean, or Banana Republic's "Rosewood".

It's a confusing fragrance because it deviates from the note list to my nose, but it still manages to pull off the intended vibe 😂 It cracks me up! No...it doesn't match the pyramid in my opinion, but yet it does smell like a warm Alien, and fits the marketing despite all of it.

I like it. It doesn't make me swoon, but it's actually a great easy reach and it's very pretty. I think it should be worn in heat, because some warm stuff is great to offset winter conditions, but I actually think some warm things sing best when worn with heat to amplify their nature, and this is one of them.

Glad to have smelled this finally! 🌸 🌞

gorkemaksy

Im so used to original alien and to me this flanker is just weaker version of the original. They are so similar but the original is stronger. I tried them side by side and i couldnt smell the alien fusion because it was supressed by the original

LanaDelSlay

100% red fruits, weird there are none. nice in the opening, dries to something shampoo-y and cheap

SareBear3

I love this fragrance. It has a very sexy warm and musky smell.

katherina.1

This was very spicy - definitely not in a good way for me.

All I could smell when I first sprayed and for about 20 minutes, was pepper. Straight up pepper😳 Maybe my tester has gone bad? Reading all the reviews saying it is amazing… I cannot grasp that what so ever. I usually love spicy and loud perfumes but this was just harsh, in your face, straight up powdery pepper and I had to scrub it off.

I asked my son what he thought of it and he literally made this face 🥴 and said “what have you put on??? It smells like pepper” So no question about it. He didn’t even think I was wearing a perfume, which is totally understandable. You’d think a perfume would smell somewhat flower-y and nice… I do not want to be smelling like a walking meat ready to be barbecued. Sorry for the visual comparison😂 But that’s what it felt like.

yurkin

:( I can't believe they discontinued this flanker. It's not close to the original, it deserved its own place

razorsinthenight

If I had to chose one alien flanker, this would be mine. The last one produced by clarins. It is absolutely addicting. It’s no longer being made and I have been buying bottles of it online. As a huge fan of the original and OG formula of Alien, I find myself wearing this one more! You can smell the alien DNA in it for sure. But you’re initially hit with this wonderful deep spiciness that floats around with the tuberose, blossom, vanilla and amber with this beautiful dry down that has such a nice powdery like finish! I get so many compliments on it! The formula is very strong and has a longevity to it that you find in almost all clarins produced Mugler fragrances. A great scent for anyone in any age group.

Gyps

Very lovely fragrance with the same DNA as the OG Alien. I love all the Mugler scents I’ve tried so far. Very happy with this blind buy 😍

FleurDe

It took me a couple wears to make up my mind, but this is really nice. I am an anti-fan of OG Alien but this gives that fresh, dryer sheet effect without the psychedelic harshness of the original. The spicy ginger and cinnamon is gently layered on top, making it a nice winter version of a "freshie." I haven't received any comments or compliments, but I imagine someone who doesn't know much about fragrance would describe it as clean.

Mona708

This is a very interesting take on Alien. It’s much spicier, and it has more of the licorice-like start than the original EDP. It’s noticeable without being overly sharp, so I’m more comfortable wearing this to work as opposed to the EDP. If I tested it without knowing the name or seeing the bottle, I would have thought it was an Aura flanker since they have somewhat similar dry downs on my skin.

hollandbri

I love this especially for January as I’m craving white florals but am not ready for spring frags yet. I have to say the more I wear it tho the more it makes me think of a Cinnabon? Like the cream cheese frosting and all. Still lovely.

CatOwned

I got this for $40-$50 I like this one more than the regular Alien because it smells fresher and doesn't have that weird dirty element of the purple Alien. This has long longevity on me (but it does fade to a weaker scent). I like the regular Alien as well, but it is a harder reach for me than this one. I definitely notice the ginger/cinnamon/floral/amber notes. I do not notice the vanilla, and I am not sure I notice tuberose. I do notice orange blossom, though. I get the spices on me for the whole time I can smell this on me. It's been about 10 hours since I sprayed myself, and it is still there- just more faint now.

edit: Ok I bumped this up to eternal because on me this lasts over 12 hours. I can still smell the floral of the original alien DNA with some vague spiciness to it. It smells like the purple alien, but fresher/cleaner still. I really love this one.

softcell

Mugler's scents have always been incredibly divisive, and for good reason. His are the kind that you have to let "grow" on you. This one did NOT have that effect on me. It is my absolute favorite flanker and my signature scent. I can say that I've never, ever tried an EDP formulation that lasts as long as Mugler's do, so that's a big up. The scent profile is dazzling. Yes, you can still smell the original Alien DNA in the dry down, so if you aren't a fan of the OG, you'll probably not be a fan of Fusion. I haven't smelled a cinnamon scent quite as dazzling. It's bold, it's appetizing, and it complements the softness of the vanilla and grape-iness of the Jasmine perfectly. USE SPARINGLY. I spray a spritz in each elbow and once on my neck and it's more than enough. Anything more and you risk giving yourself a headache.

I do hope it stays in circulation for awhile.

strawberrystar

I really like this fragrance. It is soft and floral snd creamy. That soft creaminess reminds me of L'interdit Intense and of The Only One Intense. Very pretty. This is my first Mugler fragrance and I expected it to project like crazy as everyone says Mugler fragrances are beasts, but this sits pretty close to the skin and does not project at all... I hope performance and projection will get better with time, because it is beautiful.

Finka227

This is alien but with cleaner fun vibes! More uplifting but the same DNA. This has easily become my favorite perfume and my signature scent. Blends so well with skin. Easily wearable without being in your face. I always get compliments from my husband when I have this one on.

singlehandedbeauty

This a fragrance soulmate if ever there was such a thing. Alien fusion just works so well with my chemistry that it just feels like "me but better" when I wear it. This has a nod to the Alien DNA but with a soft, spicy, tuberose twist. The Alien base is sexy and invigorating, but the tuberose/vanilla/spice combo is soft, addictive, and cozy. The former stays close to the skin and the latter creates the most intoxicating scent bubble/trail. I'm an under sprayer because I have a very sensitive nose, which means I rarely get compliments, but I get loads of compliments when I wear Fusion. I love and own Alien and most of its flankers, but to me, Fusion is the most feminine of the bunch. Signature and backup bottle worthy.

persimmonism

If Alien and Twilly had a baby! Delightful, magical Christmas market smell.

kikaburra

I HATED this when I first sprayed it and got my first ever perfume headache. It's one of my all-time favourites now.

Like other reviewers, I think this perfume really shines on hot hot days - it's funky and sexy and unique and complements the smell of skin and sweat, what can I say! Sillage is pretty strong and SUPER long-lasting so beware not to overspray.

It's genuinely spicy (ginger/cinnamon) but don't be fooled into thinking this smells like holiday baking - I've never noticed vanilla. I'm going to have to discipline myself to not use it in the cold months, even though I love it, because it's so well suited to summer.

thneedsmeller7

Can someone tell me if this is being discontinued? Seeing out of stock on the Mugler website and can't find a direct source or even resellers elsewhere....concerned lol

cynthiad623

Love this Scent!

fantomette

Oh wow. This is BEAUTIFUL ! Much more gourmand than I expected and quite far from the usual Alien DNA; this smells like Princess by Kilian but spicier and better. It’s a delicious marshmallow scent generously topped with caramelized ginger sugar and accompanied with just the teeniest tiniest hint of cinnamon. You will absolutely smell like a bakery wearing this. Sillage seems good; I sprayed some on my arm and it projects really well. Longevity is as well, as it is an Alien flanker. Perfect for Fall and Winter :D

Edit : After a few wearings, I must say that I do actually smell the alien DNA in this, but also caramel-y and chocolate-y undertones. Blind buy safe if you love gourmands and the og alien !

Ginger: gone in 3 mins. max. Cinnamon: faint. So, if you don’t like spices, it’s probably safe. If you’re buying it FOR the spices, you’ll probably be disappointed.

Performance:
Abysmal and it really ticks me off. Not OK!
BUT I have an irrational relationship w/ Mugler: so I’lI probably get a big bottle. 🙄

OG Alien comparison:
-Same skeleton w/ the simple pyramid. Instead of jasmine, it’s tuberose.
-Retains the amber. Substitutes the base (cashmeran) w/ a not gourmand vanilla.
-Slight dusting of powder.
- I almost like this more than the reformulated Alien. (But again, performance.)
-Fusion has the OG “grapey-ness” and no diaper.

Rouge Malachite comparison:
For context, IMO RM is overrated and not that similar to Alien. It’s not as bright. RM is a tuberose bomb. Fusion’s tuberose is soft and tolerable, so if you’re not crazy about that note, I think you’ll be okay with Fusion. I just don’t think RM is worth 4x the price of Fusion, even if discounted. It’s just not that similar to Alien, or I would consider it. I think Amouage Journey is more similar to Alien than RM. Again, not enough for me to get it as a substitute.

In conclusion:
Fusion is softer and has better manners than OG Alien. It’s the best Alien flanker still on the market. Emphasis on ‘still on the market.’ After testing the common dupes, I’m going to get this one because it’s the closest. It is divine, in its own right though. I’m gonna get it and blast myself with 16 sprays because I cannot be helped.
Hope this helps!

Edit:
Yes. I got a FB and no regrets.
Yes. I am spraying 16+ times and my bottle isn’t going to last long.
Oh well. Carpé Diem!

I own the original Alien but I never really liked it. That sharp, metallic jasmine is just too much for me. This one though, is nice. Much more wearable. Everything is lighter and smoother while still somehow smelling reminiscent of the original.

I don't really get the cinnamon, and the ginger is subtle and more just makes the florals bright and gives your nose a feeling of gingery "freshness". It's a bit sweet. Nice warm amber and a bit of vanilla in the base. A bit powdery. Becomes very ambery in the dry down.

I think you could wear this anytime.

Leashareneex

I much prefer this over the original. I'm from Australia and the first initial spray very much reminds me of grape zappos I love it.

b.a.denney

I've had this for a few months and decided to test it out today. I sniffed it when I got it, but never really gave it a full wear. It's the end of summer here in Michigan, and still warm. The first thing I noticed upon first spray is a dank, earthy smell. I've had it on for almost an hour now, and that odd smell is still very present. I tend to like ginger in perfumes and to me this doesn't have a noticeable ginger in it. I'm not sure what's causing that musty, dank smell but it's sort of ruining this perfume for me. Maybe it's a body chemistry thing? I have Alien Essence Absolue and Eau Extraordinaire and they do not have that musty note. Has anyone else experienced this with this perfume?

Eveningrose

I love the original Alien and this is not too much different. The tuberose in this is bubble gummy but not too overwhelming. I love this scent so much. I layered it with the original Alien and I just cannot stop smelling myself ! Definitely a great find ♥️

Azzurance

Cinnamon bubblegum. Interesting and unique but not something I want to smell like, unfortunately. I think I would love this if it were less tuberose and more cinnamon/spicy. Bottle is gorgeous.

Seducianne

Wow, this is a beautiful bomb!
I have to start by saying that my skin just seems to drink perfumes up. Whatever I apply, it's gone in no time. Even oriental (as in Arabic) perfumes do not stick to my skin.
I was reading the reviews regarding Alien Fusion, which I had smelled before and knew I enjoyed, but had never sampled properly (wear test etc), so I was very happy to get it in a swap.
I applied the tiniest spray at 9 AM today and it was radiating loudly and beautifully off my arm. It is now 17.15. Eight hours later and it's still going strong and it hasn't even become a skin scent yet. Rather, it dried down to a bit of a powdery, spicy yet "electric" blend. It is a bit of a winter perfume, at least for my standards, because the sweetness is quite strong in this one in spite of the fact it's not toothache in a bottle, and also it is very robust.
To those in the comments who say this is a weak perfume: I don't know what you got or what happened there, but on me this is a monster performer.

likesleet

i didn't get a lot of spices. this was fresh, light, floral & fruity.

scarlett.angel

Saw this "new Alien" at Chemist Warehouse in Australia here. I was immediately intrigued by the gorgeous red bottle as I love the original Alien. The bottle is beautiful and I can't wait to test it out in-store. I'm normally not a huge fan of ginger, but the rest of the notes sound very nice. Hopefully it's well blended because if this is really being discontinued, then I might need it.

I live in QLD, Australia so our spring/summers are extremely hot and humid, and I always considered the OG Alien especially only a winter fragrance. I'm not sure if I find it harsh and bitter in the cold though, or perhaps it's that icy, almost metallic scent that I enjoy amongst a sea of warm and comforting scents.

After reading your review @AlexandraTroush saying how it was soft and buttery, and @chillalot agreeing that Alien becomes creamy in the heat, I'm definitely going to try it.

I hate wasting fragrances just because they're labeled as "winter" or "summer". Our winters here are short, so I've wasted a lot in the past.

Thanks for sharing!

Perfumedsecrets

Saw this on clearance at Ulta, so it’s probably being discontinued or already has been. Damnit. It’s so good.

chillalot

Alexandra Troush you are so right!!! …we tend to think alien is for cold weather… but luckily I live in Detroit and we have a large Middle Eastern population and I noticed a lot of ladies wearing Alien in the summer… I gave it a try and it really becomes creamy in the heat… thanks to them I no longer regulate fragrances to seasons instead I see how it actually smells in different temps

LivsAnne

Love the spicy aspect, kind of reminds me of Twilly when first sprayed but dries down quite similar to the original Alien. Definitely more bearable than the OG Alien as I cannot stand it

Mghen

I love this fragrance, so sweet and femenine. IMO it's pretty linear but it's not a problem for me, I simply love this one.

ArtByLeia

Ok, I'm actually obsessed with this, I could even see this becoming my new signature.
When I first smelled the normal Alien, I didn't love it. Later on I bought a 15ml bottle 'cause I just wanted it in my collection honestly, and florals were starting to grow on me. I heard that this is very much Alien but with more warmth and spice, and that fits perfectly. I absolutely love it. So far I considered Mon Guerlain my signature fragrance, but this one is for sure more day-to-day-wearable so I think it'll probably take that spot.
Also, obviously, the perfume bottle is absolutely gorgeous. The most beautiful one I own by a mile.

SummerRose

I LOVE it! This was my very first Mugler perfume purchase. I was initially scared of Mugler perfumes but when I smelt Alien Fusion I fell in love with it immediately.

I would describe it as a warm, spicy, comforting, floral. I enjoy the ginger and cinnamon in this perfume and though there is no jasmine, it has the Alien DNA but it's just more wearable. I also think it has a similar vibe to Azzaro Wanted Girl so if you like that or any of the Alien flankers you may like this too.

From wearing Alien Fusion my appreciation for Mugler perfumes grew and now I own 12 Mugler perfumes, including backups.

IMO Fusion can be worn all seasons and most occasions

TheSweaterGirl

Sharp white floral opening, the barest hint of spice, followed by an oddly flat/dry period, after which the florals eventually re-emerge.

Reminds me of JPG Classique EDT, though softer and not so screechy.

Overall seems like a run of the mill floral perfume. It’s okay. Kind of boring and overdone.

Mennaa

I’m surprised no one mentioned how the opening of this is identical to that of JPG’s Classique essence du parfum. While Classique essence goes more towards the soapy inclination, while alien fusion stays more bubbly and less mature. I have always liked Classique but never wore it enough bec of the aldehydes notes which make it more grandma-ish and the more I wore the more I realized how offensive it is, not really blended well, and sometimes turns like detol on me. However, Alien Fusion is the perfect balance for when I am craving an orange blossom perfume, though I could never wear it everyday bec white florals and orange blossom give me headaches, but I love this nevertheless!

I have always loved the OG Alien, but it was my mother’s signature for years, so I couldn’t really wear it myself. But Alien Fusion is the more youthful sister with the same DNA somehow yet the notes are clearly different?

I get it that this perfume is heavy for some, but something about it really screams fancy summer nights for me. Someone mentioned that the drydown reminds them of tan lotions and I couldn’t agree more, and it’s done in the best way possible!

ebonymichelle25

Blind bought this and was very scared if I would hate it or love it as I’m not a big fan of the harshness of the OG alien! LOVE THIS! I don’t get any ginger or cinnamon really but this is divine, my new favourite!!

missmorganbaby

Wasn’t sure if I was gonna like this at first but I actually adore it. On my skin, I get tons of that cinnamon and ginger. I don’t own many cinnamon fragrances so this is different and exciting for me. It’s definitely a fall/winter scent but I’ve been layering it with some oils to enhanced those floral and vanilla notes to make it more suitable for these springs days and it performs well.

Spencemonster

This reminds me more of Flora Futura than the OG Alien. But. This is unique enough.

The star is the sexy ambery cinnamon which warms up the heavy white flowers. TONS of compliments and longevity is amazing. This is a MUST for any Mugler collector and Alien lover.

lyka

j adore, le même adn que l'originall mais légèrement plus soft, j adore l 'original, pas déçue
si vous aimez l'alien original alors vous aimerez celui, sont très proches olfactivement en tout cas sur ma peau

Shalize

Alien with a little spicy twist :) more suitable for fall winter

blairwarner

THIS is my date night scent! My girlfriend absolutely loves it and so do I. It's an attention-getter - at dinner once, our waitress asked what I was wearing so she could get it for herself. The sillage is strong which makes it not an everyday scent for me as much as I wish I could wear this all the time. She's a ~special occasions~ kinda gal.

One of the nice things about this though is that you need very few sprays to make an impact and for it to last for hours. Creamy, intoxicating, and warm! Alien Fusion is a favorite.

fk22

I adore this one. Smells 90% similar to Rouge Malachite, great alternative. Im pretty sure they're phasing this one out so grab it before its gone.

churinl

There is something about this that just fails to make an impression on me. To those of you who find that this smells similar to Rouge Malachite on your skin, I envy you, because I find that one incredibly beautiful. I'm hard pressed to say which note I struggle with in particular because I tend to like the ones listed. It's somewhat absurd to accuse an Alien flanker of being too loud given the OG, but loud, harsh, and artificial are what comes to mind. OG Alien definitely has an otherworldly artificial aspect to it, like jasmine grown on Neptune, but it works really well in my opinion. Here it just smells like chemicals on my skin.
Fusion does mellow out and become a perfectly decent fragrance but I doubt I will reach for it often. My husband said I smelled good when I wore it, so perhaps I will try one spritz on each wrist now and then to make him happy. Longevity and silage are what one would expect from an Alien flanker - extraordinary!

AlexandraTroush

I was born and raised in the Middle East, where we rarely if ever have really cold weather, and with how popular Alien has always been there, it just doesn't make any sense to me to wear it (or any of its flankers with the exception of Essence Absolue) in cold weather at all. Cold weather brings out a harsh bitterness in Alien (and its flankers) that smells nauseating to me, but the hotter the weather and the skin, the softer and more buttery Alien becomes. I think Alien was definitely made with hot countries in mind.
Alien Fusion is no exception. The spices remind me of the huge market back home, with its lively customers and sassy merchants, so it's a lovely addition to the strong Alien base, which I associate with hot nights and sun-kissed skin.

I wish more people gave the Aliens a chance in hot weather, especially those who find them nauseating. They're way softer and kinder in the heat!

Sweetfemme

If the original alien doesn’t work for you try this one.
It’s a fragrance you can wear every season but I think it’s sexy for a night out in the summer.
Smells similar to alien but with tuberose.

wondervalley666

So far this is my favorite Alien flanker I've tried. At first spray, it seems to have dominant delicious spicy cinnamon and ginger notes, which overpowered the gentle florals and instantly had me hooked. This smells like PERFUME cinnamon and ginger - not candy cinnamon and ginger. This evokes more of a "sexy spicy unlit incense smell" than an "edible gourmand candy smell." A couple hours later and mostly I just feel like the dry down smells like classic Alien with a gentile twist of the spice notes. But Alien is jasmine, while Fusion is orange blossom and tuberose? Yet they smell SO similar. HOW? Sometimes I wear this and after a few hours forget that I put Fusion on and assume I must be wearing regular Alien. I love Alien, and love the Fusion flanker - they are definitely such close relatives, I'd be surprised at anyone who liked one but not the other. I feel like Fusion is slightly more gentle and sexy, but if you're put off by Alien or find it too strong, I doubt you'd like this one too much. Personally, I love it and am thrilled with this blind buy. I wish my bottle was refillable, though it doesn't seem like this flanker comes in that option.

Longevity : I'd estimate about 5 hours, not as long as Alien OG. The spices disappear after a few hours and the last few hours it smells like classic Alien drydown.
Sillage : Reaches a couple feet or so from the body, though I'm sure you can overspray and project further
Value : a bit overpriced. But an excellent scent, long lasting, good performance, a beautiful bottle, and a sale on Nordstrom.com with free shipping makes this worth every penny.

Rober7a

Alien with orange blossom and tuberose in place of jasmine. 😊 I smell hints of ginger too, can't detect any cinnamon. Jasmine is a big part of the original Alien, so this is not a good substitute for those who are looking for the same scent, but less headache inducing, it's more of a cousin than a sister. I really enjoy it, it's warm, cozy and sweet, it even reminds me of my signature Code Cashmere, so for this reason alone I am tempted to snatch a bottle. It's a lot less of a powerhouse though, still lasts and projects, but really gentle in comparison.

GUADELUPA

Very nice scent. It is delicate, tender and feminine. I can't smell ginger and cinnamon (though I expected), but I smell an orange flower, amber and vanilla. Sweetish, but not sweet. Suitable for every day life. Sillage and longevity are so good, I can smell it for twenty four hours both on my skin and clothes. And I would like to mention a bottle. It's gorgeous! It reminds me of aliens from the movie "The Fifth Element" with Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich. Though the fragrance is so beautiful, you may buy it for a bottle too. Yes, Mugler is extraordinary brand, I like it!

fanntonyoscar

Fusion is all tuberose on my skin, sadly. I’ll have to try it again at a later date, but for now, Mugler is still apparently too floral heavy for me.

lilithroi

I only tried this because this smelled so divine on my coworker, so luscious and creamy, so warm. Yet on me, only the yellow flowers shine (or screech in this instance). From top to bottom, this is so linear... I'm disappointed.

Yosa

*First impressions*

If you like Alien (OG) but it's too strong for you, then this is a GREAT alternative - it's SO similar to it! Alien is a beast and Fusion a domesticated version of it, if that makes sense? 🐆 vs 🐈

I thought the cinnamon would stick out like a sore thumb to me because I grew up eating and smelling A LOT of cinnamon, BUT I can't detect it AT ALL ! Slightly disappointed about that. Can't single out the ginger either, but that's probably for the better as ginger can easily become challenging.

The bottle is absolutely GORGEOUS !!! Omg. I blind-bought a 30ml bottle and while I'm uncertain if Fusion is really 'me' scent-wise, I'm absolutely *in love* with this RED ruby bottle !! 😲

Mysticmiah1970

I get the cinnamon, ginger and tuberose in this one with a warmth I think is the amber definitely has the alien dna even though it doesn’t have any jasmine I really like this it’s definitely one of the better flankers to me anyway my favourite was essence absolute which is impossible to find unless crazy marked up.The original alien is still my favourite now closely followed by this one

gourmandnotes

I am writing for the Alien Fusion "Mfd for CFG 92200 Neuilly-sur-Seine" (manufactured in Nov 2018) formulation. I purchased this around 2019. I recall buying this, and then for a period of time, not seeing this sold anywhere until fairly recently when the Fusion flankers made their appearances again. I didn't know the company was changing hands behind the scenes but 2020 was a rough year for a lot of perfume houses; everyone was selling off their perfumes as low as 50% off to compensate for the sudden losses brought on by covid. But I digress.

In the opening, I get candied sweets accompanied by a big, caramel-like sugared vanilla, followed by spicy cinnamon. The Alien DNA is present but it's more of the sweet orange blossom & tuberose familiarity without the heft of the original Alien - which feels more smothering, narcotic, and velour-like in its weight. The orange blossom here feels like it's mixed with grape-y/red fruits notes that isn't somehow mentioned in the notes. The ginger and "red hots" cinnamon notes reveal themselves more towards the end for me, as it gets drier and spicier in mid-drydown.

Although the original Alien has a special place in my heart, I cannot wear Alien as often - it's near impractical and far too challenging for me to wear on a frequent basis as it triggers migraines for me. Alien Fusion however, is lighter but still keeps Alien white floral DNA, is "accessible" as far as wearability goes, and suits my affinity for spicy (cinnamon, ginger) notes. Fusion deserves its hype, and is one of the best and most cohesively done Alien flankers I've seen yet.

Rosemary14

It’s hard for me to write a review of this because I agree with positive and negative reviews. It’s not as spicy as it could be and it’s not nearly as strong as the original Alien. The red bottle would imply a spicy cinnamon red hot candy. It’s not true to the bottle but it has enough spice in the opening to make it appealing. The overall composition is much more smooth and harmonious than the OG. In fact I really like it. The vanilla really marries well with the amber and florals. It has a solar quality, but still has the grape like florals. In the OG I find the amber and woody notes to harsh and in here I find things in much more balance.

lysithea

It is a winter perfume for sure. When i tried this in summer it was cloying and sweet. In colder days it really blooms now i get the ginger and cinnamon notes along with the tuberose. I love it in winter

Mariamaija Amélie

Alien Fusion, is a superb and worthy Alien flanker. Sweet, delicious, seductive and spicy, and different enough to justify a place in the Mugler collection next to the Alien "mother". More versatile due to its less loud and more powdery presence, I think, and an all year fragrance. Longevity is okay - 4 to 5 hours on me. Not as impressive as the OG Alien edp, but okay.

mayberry

Alien, with a touch of cinnamon.

karlikarli

To me this smells almost exactly like original Alien. The difference is, it is a bit warmer….notes of amber and cinnamon. The sillage and longevity are there, it lasts all day.

MaxieF

Many people made up their minds about this fragrance because they thought it was released by loreal but apparently they took over in 2020 and this was released in 2019... so maybe consider that a lot of the hate is actually just misinformed judgement?

OK. So in MY opinion...Fusion is the BOMB. It lasts forever. It doesn't give me a headache like the others. It's sexy AF. It does resemble some other fragrances with orange blossom..(in literally every perfume) but it is perfectly blended and unique..due to the spices and ginger. It's so so good. My favorite and only alien. Can be worn all year around but most seem to find it best in fall and winter. Did I say sexy AF. I first tried this at a modeling job and all the "boys" were crazy about it.

Don't blind buy this expecting it to be a predominantly cinnamon or ginger fragrance. Those notes have been added to the original Alien DNA. You're still getting Alien. Just a version with some subtle spices and a fresh/youthful Tuberose.

semperfii

i love this fragrance 😍 the cinnamon doesn’t jump that much for me. it’s barely detectable. but the tuberose, ginger, orange blossom & amber are a million dollar combo wow. i actually find this to be better than og alien, which i also love. this one is like a younger hot & fun sister to alien. it’s more wearable, also sweet & soft. from the second it is sprayed to the dry down it is an absolutely heavenly smell👅 the vanilla comes out later and plays wonderfully with the other notes. somehow it still has alien dna, probably with the beautiful amber. it lasts decent, a good 4-5 hrs, but not as long as og alien or other mugler fragrances, which last up to 12-14 hours on me usually. the bottle is gorgeous, & the scent is warm, spicy and sweet. i have seen comparisons to libre intense, a perfume i also have, & i do not see much of a resemblance on me between the two. in my opinion it is safe to buy this one if u also have that one. i would say it is a safe blind buy if u love og alien, & generally like sweet scents. this is for sure going to be a dumb reach for me. the floral & amber mix is to die for! this is my favorite flanker so far. i love it as of now in cold weather, & i’m guessing it’s going to be just as good during the summer. i am not surprised by all the great reviews! what a gem. hope everyone has a great year💕💕

whimsyandhoney

I find it interesting that another user below mentioned Libre intense, because I get drifts here and there that remind me of Black Opium. Again, must be the orange blossom & vanilla... something reminiscent of the YSL greatest hits DNA.*

Anyway, I do find this to be a bit more mass appealing than the original Alien. It’s quite similar, but imagine turning Alien down a notch or two and making the white florals calmer and creamier. The cinnamon and ginger in this are not very apparent but just a dash gives it a friendly & cozy feel.

Edit: * okay, now I wore this again tonight and I’m an idiot; it totally reminds me of Libre, and now I can’t stop making the association! I also grabbed my old black opium and its just not it (hence why I’m an idiot), but giving myself the BOTD maybe I was thinking of the dry down.😅

Tina905

I adore this flanker simply due to the fact that I prefer orange blossom & tuberose over jasmine. I just wish this was stronger

7.5/10

perfumequeen5

I believe that flankers should retain a recognisable amount of DNA to their original predecessor but that's the issue, Alien Fusion does that too well. Even though it's a much dirtier (I mean that quite literally) more powdery Lolita Lempicka-esque version, it doesn't evolve as much in comparison to the OG which is my signature so you can understand why I had high hopes.

So halfway through writing this, I spritzed it again on my arm and it's showing more dimension. The cinnamon is more predominant, with hints of vanilla coming through, reminiscent of a warm dirty chai latte. As with most Alien iterations, it holds versatility in regards to when it can be worn, whether it's a warm summer's night or cool winter's day.

Rank: B+

Lindsconn

I find this to be the summer nights version of Alien. The Amber and ginger really shine through and really compliment the orange blossom. It’s a very well blended fragrance and definitely one of the best Alien flankers. It has strong silage and lasting power. The original dna is strongly present, and I wouldn’t say you actually need both this and the original.

Aiga1

I can feel the Alien dna, but this is such a beautiful flanker. I expected a spring/summer scent, but this a perfect cold weather perfume with the cinnamon and soft powdery-ness. Love it!

2whit2quit

hey ya'll Fusion lovers!! this is currently (limited time) on sephora.com (20% off full size fragrance with code: FRAGRANCE20), and also on muglerusa.com for a heavy discount as well. Xx

Roos88dutch

My mind goes directly to Libre intense. Does somebody else smell some similarities? The orange flower maybe?

dearaari

I left a review when I was just testing and I finally got a bottle! It’s summer at the moment and initially I thought the weather would make this scent too overpowering but it doesn’t. The scent works wonderfully in the hotter weather turning the jasmine less indolic and wears into more of a classy, sharp (but not citrusy) white floral with an undertone of expensive soapiness. The last thing you wanna do is reapply fragrance at a picnic when you’re sweaty, but Alien Fusion lasts me the entire day while being very present, yet docile enough not to choke people out. It’s a really underrated summer frag and for our highs of 40degrees, I definitely recommend wearing it for a whole day out. Managed to get a couple of compliments with Fusion too, so it’s definitely got a good sillage trail and impressive projection.

ConcreteRose

So I spoke bout this before and said how this smells like summer to me. I wore her today while out grocery shopping in cool weather and she’s a compliment getter! I got 4 compliments in about 30 minutes of being in the supermarket lol. She’s definitely a soft elegant but still sexy Alien, and she projects so don’t underestimate her! People were wearing masks and still smelled me passing by lol. I LOVE IT! Shes a lifer for me!

rainme

I find this to be a solar version of Alien. The ginger and cinnamon add warmth and on the drydown there is a surprise vanilla which is lovely. Easier to wear than the OG in my opinion, especially in hot weather.

AlaskanAngel

Strange. Not bad. Not good either. There is a very fruity note that seems out of place. The dry down brings more rose than I care for. I do like that you can still find the Alien DNA though. This is one of the better flankers. And pretty unique.

hola gigi

This powdery/ginger opening quickly develops into a cozy, spicy, cinnamon vanilla. Alien DNA.. but I like this one better. It's one of those "warm hug" fragrances. Reminds me of Jean Paul Gaultier Classique with a more impressive performance.

SilhouetteX

I went perfume shopping today and a girl next to me sprayed this on. I immediately turned my head to see what she used, because it smelled divine and unlike anything I had smelled so far. So thank you anonymous lady introducing me to Mugler perfumes.

I've tried it on my wrist a few times since first smelling it at the store. Longevity and sillage is better in colder weather, I'd say it lasts about 4 - 5 hours on me on average. This is a safe blind buy for people who like tuberose, orange blossom, creamy, amber perfumes. The spicyness is very toned down in this one, it's the first time I'm enjoying a 'warm spicy' note in a perfume. Usually I find them too overbearing. This is a faint ginger and cinnamon smell, just enough to make this perfume interesting.

Casmorales89

On a paper strip she gives incense, powder, and white flowers- a creamier, sweeter, more modern or "younger" White Diamonds.

On my skin Alien Fusion opens much sweeter and more citrusy, followed up quickly by a milky cinnamon-spiced vanilla. The smoky incense and powder notes then come back in to mingle with the vanilla and just a whisper of citrus as the scent dries down. This whole progression is quite gorgeous, although it happens quicker than I'd wish. I would say this fragrance is nearly as complex and challenging as the other Muglers I've tried, but dissipates to a more simple and familiar vanilla, making her maybe more accessible.

Not a favorite, but still well-liked.

2whit2quit

After testing a sample vial, I finally jumped at a full bottle. It's becoming very difficult to find. While the OG Alien proves too much for me to wear (although, I enjoy smelling it on others), this is a tame yet spicy version, which left me craving more and more. It lasts all day on me and smells incredible. It's the cinnamon that does it for me. It's creamy and cozy. This is the cinnamon accord I've been desiring (although, I wish it was even more potent) in a fragrance all along, and the bottle couldn't be prettier!

ConcreteRose

When I sprayed this on my skin, I smelled summer! To my nose this smells like a yummy suntan lotion! (I’m telling u! Take a double whiff!) a yummy soft suntan lotion. I actually think it’s better than TF soleil Blanc. I LAYERED SOLEIL BLANC AND ALIEN FUSION… PERFECT SUMMER COMBO I PROMISE!! AMAZING!!

MiaKlark

On me this is mainly amber, a bit of spice and tuberose faintly. The ginger leans more earthy than spicy which I don't really mind. I love the opening, I get a bit of sweet florals and a creamy earthy spicy something. It gets more earthy after a while and every once in a while I get whiffs of something smoky? Incensy? it confuses me a bit but I don't hate it per se
Overall rating: 6/10
The longevity sucks though, Projection is amazing in the first 2/3 hrs then it disappears.

fgamz

Alien Fusion is everything I wanted the original Alien to smell like. Not to say original Alien doesn't deserve its recognition, that perfume is a masterpiece of its own even though I personally can't wear it.

Alien Fusion is a slightly creamier, spicier and quieter sister of Alien.. Doesn't have as much projection of the original but you can detect its part of the Alien family. I personally really like this one and will continue to use it in my rotation.. AF is nicely blended with the ginger and cinnamon notes being enough for it to be spicy but not overpowering, I mainly get the ginger in the opening but its not a blast of it but rather a peck of it. The vanilla gives it that touch of creaminess in the dry down that doesn't make it too mature like the original Alien does, I also got a touch of cinnamon in the dry down but not in a dusty way, its just in the background. I don't get much jasmine tbh, it's heavier on the familiar alien amber side.

If you couldn't wear the original Alien this might be the perfume to try without the heaviness but definitely still smells like the original.

EDIT
I layered this with Kayali Utopia and it made the most interesting combination. A sophisticated, evil Queen of Spring! She's a gorgeous woman, who has white flowers in her long, thick hair with her spell enchantments in front of her with twigs, sticks, woods and potions! She looks too beautiful to be evil but she enchants you with her charms and wit, when you're within arms reach she rips open your chest to steal your heart to finish off her potion! A real Persephone meets Medusa vibe. Interesting enough I would get whiffs of either or, it was almost like they were teasing me with their power and scent! A powerful combination! :)

P.S. The bottle is also absolutely gorgeous and beautiful to look at!!

wandavision

these notes are usually right up my alley, but this smells like grandma old lady stank.

moonpearls

To me this smells very similar the original, i know it's a flank, but I would have loved the spiciness to be ramped up. The cinnamon and ginger are definitely there, it is slightly warmer and spicier. But after 10-20 mins honestly I would think i'm wearing the original one as the difference is so subtle. Usually spicy notes persist on my skin much longer, but not here. The orange and spices would work perfectly and bring something very different if they shone more.

Either way i still loved this and would buy it instead of the original Alien. But i think people who smelled me would just ask if I was wearing Alien.

KylieBooFace

I was very silly and sold my sample of this without trying it. So, I blind bought and really like it. It smells like a slightly sweeter and spicier Alien EDP to me (which is already multifaceted to me) and the grapey-bubblegummy Tuberose stands out. I'm looking forward to see how the ambery drydown presents.

Update 1 hour later: I love this. One spray is not overpowering. I can see this being a summer oriental or all year round. It's just so beautiful, with the slightly powdery amber drydown, extra helping of sweetness, and kiss of spice. Trust me, this is not a craft store cinnamon smell. This is really beautiful and melts into my skin (vanillas usually work on me).

singlehandedbeauty

This is a warm and cozy take on Alien and I'm super impressed with the overall composition because it's incredibly well-blended and smooth. It starts out soft and slightly spicy with a dash of tobacco leaf and then melts with the floral notes and a gentle dose of the OG DNA. In the dry down, there's a really comforting, powdery touch of sweet amber-vanilla that makes you long for a fluffy duvet, a good book, and a piping hot cup of chai tea. I was certain I'd be picking this up to serve as my cool weather Alien Flanker, but alas, the tuberose in Fusion is headache triggering like every other iteration of that note. (Sigh) I even, really, really like how the tuberose smells in this. Oh well. Sillage is on the soft side for Alien, but the performance is great—I could smell this for a good six hours. Fusion is absolutely lovely and worth a sniff, especially if the original is just too much for you.

dearaari

This is MUCH more pleasant & feminine on the nose as compared to the original. It does evoke feelings of being in a spa retreat. The jasmine is toned down and not as indolic. I see myself being able to wear this is opposed to the other Aliens. I owned Flora Futura and that smelt like citronella candles that we use outside to keep mosquitoes away. This is a lovely and interesting white floral with character. I also heard a lot of comparisons to Rouge Malachite which I haven’t tried just yet but if this is any indication of RMs profile, then it should be good too.

EDIT: I bought a full bottle. At first I was a little intimidated by how strong the scent was projecting. I thought uh oh what have I done. But no no no, I have zero regrets now and it’s a lifer. This is a special fragrance, very attention commanding, longevity is good but I think projection is a tad short of the original. No big deal tho because of the scent profile, if it was a beast it would be unbearably loud. Only noting this because I have hayfever and am allergic to A LOT of things, but magically this perfume doesn’t make me sneeze. WINNER!

TheMegasus

I have not yet tried Alien, as the one sniff I had of it in store was not pleasing, but I love Alien Fusion. I find the initial spray to be very spicy and sharp. This is well-balanced by the floral notes, which smell reminiscent of honeysuckle to me. As the scent settles down, the vanilla scent comes out more. The projection is significant early on, but after a couple of hours it's more of a skin scent. I find the fragrance to be relaxing.

It does have the feel of being related to perfumes worn by older ladies in the 90s, but that's never bothered me. ;) I always wear what makes me happy, even if the lady at the perfume counter says "No, that's an old-fashioned scent. Here, try this new perfume for young people." And I proceed to hate their recommendations and go back to my beloved spicy amber oriental types of perfumes. (I'm in my mid-30s anyways. An overly sweet floral isn't going to make me seem any younger.)

MeanSuga

Alien DNA is in full force in Fushion with amber, orange blossom, and vanilla notes as only Mugler can do, and is easily recognizable.
I could swear this was Alien - this is a tricker !
Soon came a soft cinnamon spice - not breathtaking and dominating ,
a zest of ginger- a nice zing to enliven the amber and vanilla syrup.
The tuberose combined makes me envision a high end - if there is such a thing - perfumed bubble gum, dusted with a very fine and subdued flavored and scented cinnamon dust - almost candy like is the cinnamon, red but not red hot.
My wishes are that this fragrance would have a stronger performance in
throw / longevity of throw - louder in tuberose. More heated .
I wanted this to be more of a heavy hitter. To knock me, and everyone in my wake over that it seemed to promise as I first spritzed.
This is quieter than I would expect given the notes, being a flanker of Alien.
I do reapply 2 - 3 times a day. I give the sillage 7/10 , the longevity 7/10 , though I do love the fragrance itself ever so much.

adelaidesandrina

i was a huge fan of the og alien, i literally finished the entire 60ml bottle within 2 weeks.. i’m not kidding LMAO 😂

i was looking forward to buying a second bottle, but i was more intrigued with the flankers.
alien fusion caught my eyes the most, the notes and reviews of this were just so promising.

but as always, this was another blind buy (covid 🥴).
so i got the 30ml version, because i thought that was the smart move.. plus the teeny tiny bottle looks so adorable.

but omg.. THIS IS AMAZING! WOW. i might like this more than the original. i agree with the reviews below me, there’s a gourmand twist going on here. it’s actually really yummy. it’s spicy, warm, and it still has the alien dna in here.. the jasmine is strong, just like the og one. it smells like a freshly baked cookie, that just came right out of the oven.. again, like mentioned in the previous reviews.. which is so so accurate.
sillage and longevity are moderate on me.

definitely a 10/10 from me. already in my favorites, and will probably stay there forever 😬😬

Aqualyra

This started off very promising with a burst of beautiful gingery cinnamon, everything I was hoping for when I tried Hermes' Twilly. Somehow I didn't get any distinct florals at all, at least to start with. Instead, it radiated all spicy vanilla cookie shot through with amber. The drydown had a very slight tuberose lurking in the background of the spicy cookie vibe - but you really had to think about it to notice it! Confusing - and sadly, to me at least - not enjoyable. I really wanted to like it! My boyfriend thought it was 'nice enough'.

SarahSB

This seems to smell very differently to me than most of the reviews below!

I don’t get much ginger or cinnamon but a huge blast of heavy white florals which is not my scene at all.

I also don’t get any of the marzipan or sugared almonds that others describe.

It reminds me of the overpowering fragrances my Nan used to wear in the 1980’s that made me feel car sick when we were sitting in the back seat together.

I can smell the amber and vanilla in the background (just) but overwhelmingly it’s a nausea inducing heavy floral on me.

JaeIsFancy

I really didn’t expect to like this, like many others that surprisingly do! However, it really doesn’t smell spicy to me but instead smells like delicious marzipan candies that were just made and still warm ( wait, does marzipan get cooked? Ok, lets make that marzipan cookies) I absolutely love this for that reason, that sugared almond but not over the top sweet scent. I find some similarity in this to my Dior Poison Edt however this is kicked up a few notches in comparison. I’m starting to realize that I’m on the opposite end of those that love original Alien and despise the flankers. I’m absolutely loving all of the Alien flankers that I’ve gotten my hands on. Next up is Flora Futura.

Rose du soir

@ymmv There are a lot of fake Alien Fusion. These fakes are 90mL bottles. And the box looks a lot like the real product.

ymmv

I had such high hopes for this one after reading the notes and some of the wonderful reviews below. I blind-bought Alien Fusion while dreaming of a warm spicy gourmand fragrance with a little bit of an edge.

Unfortunately, it did not deliver. What I got upon first spray was none of the highly anticipated cinnamon, but more than I bargained for in sharp, nose-searing ginger which lasted more than long enough to give me a killer headache. The dry down was pretty-ish but lacked any warmth or sweetness. It remained present as a skinscent for a decent period of time. Tests on paper and fabric yielded the same results.

Maybe I’ve received a dupe (though from a reputable seller), or a bottle that was somehow damaged. I don’t think I’ll ever find out, because I won’t be repurchasing this one any time soon.

Mel14

Let me start off by saying I thoroughly dislike original Alien. Yes, I am a fan of Mugler but not of original Alien. I came across this Alien flanker haphazardly and because of the beautiful red bottle (and the hyperbolic reviews just about everywhere) I wanted to have a first impression of the scent, so I after the first spay I was hooked! Yes this one contains the same DNA as the original BUT it's definitely no the same smell (thankfully). Original Alien feels very masculine and strong, almost gag-inducing while A Fusion is an alluring, feminine, spicy-gourmand scent that I absolutely love!!

Upon initial spray the cinnamon and ginger come across very strong but as the heart notes appear, the scent of the white flowers emerge harmonizing with the spicy notes adding sweetness to the mix, finally as the base notes settle down it leaves an almondy-vanilla scent that lasts forever on my skin and clothes.

Two perfumes that come to mind (other than the original Alien) after smelling this scent are: Love by Chloe and Hypnotic Poison. Love by Chole is definitely a more floral scent while Hypnotic Poison is more of a gourmand scent, none of them are exactly like A fusion but are on the same vibe. All three are amazingly long-lasting and intoxicatingly delicious to the point of addiction.

10/10 for me!!!

cocodust

Just got this gem, wow I am really enjoying it. It’s a beautiful scent. Initially when I got the box was a little worried as all I could smell was a root beer/medicinal smell but when I actually sprayed I get marzipan, Jasmin and vanilla and the dry down is powdery like sugared almonds, yum! There is one very initial note that is a little harsher/ not as keen on, maybe it’s the ginger or cinnamon but it is not strong/ lasting so overall this is a love for me. Will def be keeping and finishing my bottle, which btw is a beautiful red ruby of a bottle ❤️

twiztidladii

Beautiful fragrance. If you like Lolita Lempicka or Diesel- Loverdose you will love this one too. If you want to spice it up and get a sexy perfume...this is the one. Any spicier and it would be overwhelming to the people around you. This fragrance has the perfect amount.

iszzieanna

Wow I really expected to dislike this but I actually quite like it. It's different than most designer fragrances coming out now a days. So maybe that's why I've taken a liking to this. At first spray, a blast of ginger and cinnamon hits my nose. Then, the creamy tuberose comes out and the fragrance is sweetened by the brightness of the orange blossom. The amber is almost undetectable. It's just there to ground the fragrance. After an hour, this turns into a spicy orange blossom with white amber. It's quite pleasant!

Edit: coming back to this some years later, I don’t really care for this. The notes all blend together into some mishmash of sweet from the orange blossom and slightly spicy from the cinnamon and ginger. It’s simply okay

TunyaPe

This may sound exaggerating, but Alien Fusion has everything I seek in a bottle.
I love Rouge Malachite but do not have the balls to get a bottle with that price (meaning that I admit there is somewhat similarity). Meanwhile, I personally find the original Alien to be a tad bit cloying and not very attractive due to some reason.

Alien Fusion could be a love child of RM and the original Alien, IMO. It has similar heady, (not too) sweet tuberose note in RM that I love. It has a little kick of spice as a small gimmick, and it carries the Alien's sexy DNA with it. After my first sniff, I am just head over heel in love with this fragrance. Much easier to use and not cloying (to my nose).

Update: I have sold it as this baby has grown out of me. The more I wore, the clearer synthetic facet I got. However, the scent is still special to me as it was the one I wore when I first met my crush, hehe.

lunarxphase

Smells a lot like the OG Alien but I like this one much more. I do get a tiny bit of cinnamon and can detect the ginger too. But compared to other scents I have tried with cinnamon notes, it is extremely subtle. A hint of spice rather than a blast of it. I enjoy this nonetheless, and that’s coming from someone who used to dislike Alien quite strongly. I can tolerate it much more now and am beginning to discover that I even love some of the flankers.

Tropicat28

Ginger where? Cinnamon who? Not much ginger going on here and even less cinnamon. It’s so well blended that unless you have a well trained nose you won’t pick it up if you were to smell it with out the list of notes, or even with the list of notes. It smells like the OG Alien except with Tuberose and Vanilla. Much lighter, safe work fragrance. I really like the dry down. Decent longevity about 6-8 hours.

Chellywellie

Not a fan. I was looking forward to trying this, the ginger note was promising and cinnamon was intriguing, and I’ve been looking for a couple of Alien flankers before they get discontinued. Disappointingly, to me this just smells masculine for the first few hours then had the usual Alien dry down. It doesn’t last as long as Alien either unfortunately. I couldn’t get my other half to try it on his skin, as he smelt the dry down on the sample card and thought it was too feminine!

(P.S. I’m on the hunt for a scent with ginger in the top notes, think Poison Girl Unexpected vibes, but much longer lasting - if you have any recommendations let me know :) )

Vegas Pauli

This must be getting phased out as it is popping up at discounters all over. Even the Mugler website has this on sale. This is good news as I really like this. The regular Alien is too over the top and strong, whereas Fusion is lighter, easier to wear and has a unisex vibe. It doesn't scream White Flower like most from the Alien line, but the opening has the Alien DNA in it. Fusion has an aromatic feel, which I usually put into the "green/fresh" category. But here, I would say it's more "red/fresh" as the ginger and cinnamon makes this warmer than a usual aromatic fragrance. The floral notes are balanced with the spices and amber and the over all effect is unusual and interesting. I really like how this smells on me but I might be easily nose blind to it. I got a compliment a good 6 hours after I applied it. Still I feel does fade fast, and I wished the spice notes and potency were turned up a few more notches; it wears more like an EDT than an EDP. Still, for the price it is well worth getting or even blind buying. Semi enthusiastic thumbs up for Alien Fusion.

kkaattjjeess

I'm kinda liking this! It feels like a more youthful and playful version of Alien (I definitely like this more than the og Alien), the same DNA but with ginger at the top (I don't get the cinnamon).

The scent goes soo well with the design and looks of the bottle, I feel they rarely get this "right" (right meaning right according to my opinion lol).

Too loud of a perfume for me to enjoy, I imagine a confident woman with a red leather jacket strolling around wearing a fragrance like this.

Edit: the dry down is so stunning.

ILove_Smelling_perfume

I have such complicated feelings about this perfume. I Iike it but I also don’t, I prefer the original alien over this for sure. I’ve always made jokes saying Mugler puts crack in their perfumes because even when they don’t smell great something about them makes you wanna keep sniffing it. With that being said I’m cautious about when I wear this because I’ve had 2 people say it smelled like cat pee 🙃

Yeremeh

This was a lot sweeter than I expected. Reminds me of Loverdose from Diesel, smells of cinnamon liquorice. It's not bad; just different from what I expected. Will be reselling despite the gorgeous bottle, because it's a bit overpriced imo.

mhdavis

This is probably my #2 favorite perfume of all time. I don’t like the original Alien at all but LOVE this one. Lately the original Alien has taken on a powdery, soapy scent to me, but Fusion has no soapiness whatsoever. It’s not nearly as cloying or aggressive as the original Alien- to me that’s a good thing but I know a lot of people say they are disappointed with the projection and lasting power. I am not. I’m prone to migraines so I tend to appreciate fragrances that don’t incapacitate the wearer and those in close proximity. I do spray a good bit - if I want it to really project I do 8-10 sprays, 2-4 if I’m trying to be more subtle. I bought it at a discount and have 3 backup bottles so this is not a problem for me. It lasts about 6 hours on my skin, longer on clothes. I can get a few more hours out of it if I really overspray.

As for the notes I mainly get cinnamon and jasmine. The cinnamon is not a dry, nose-assaulting one but a sweet one. The jasmine is the typical Alien jasmine. I know it’s listed as orange blossom and tuberose but I’m calling it jasmine bc it smells the same to me as the “jasmine” in og Alien. In the dry down the amber comes through but the jasmine and sweet spicyness are still there.

I wear this anywhere, anytime - on the spectrum of Aliens this is pretty light and agreeable so I think it works for most occasions, other than the gym or church. I hope they don’t ever discontinue this or I will be lost.

Just for sh*ts and giggles here’s my list of Aliens (that I’ve tried) ranked from favorite to least favorite:

Alien Fusion
Alien liqueur de parfum
Alien Sublime
Alien essence Absolue
Alien eau Extraordinaire
Alien (original)
Alien Flora Futura (hate this one)

ejtristan

I love the head notes. I fell in love with that first smell in the store, and returned months later to buy it. But now that I have it at home, it immediately fades into nothingness. I have sprayed myself ten times in the past two hours, and I bury my nose in my skin and still get only a faint shadow. I will try again in the summer when it's warmer to see if this changes it for me. I will update this review at that time! But for now, this was a $100 bottle of slightly sweet WATER. (Update: this must be the L'Oreal reformulation. What a shame.)

ioanaszmeu

I can see why some people here say they detect a cinnamon bubblegum aroma, but i think it's way more sophisticated than that, the florals dominate the scent, more so the orange blossom, and the cinnamon note is noticeable only in the beginning. The ginger note is noticeable but still subtle, and adds a fresh spiciness to the florals. I really do like everything about this scent, but I am still a bit disappointed because it lacks the boldness of the original Alien. It feels a bit watered down, it's not that loud concentrated jasmin syrup that is the original. They should have amped up the tuberose maybe, not sure. It's a strong like though, could have been a love. I think people who don't like the original might enjoy this, or people who want a lighter and fresher version for summer might want to take this one in consideration, but be aware that the boldness that made the original what it is, is lacking in Fusion. This could as well be a watered down flanker of classique essence from JPG, but i think i prefer that one over this. Still, a lovely fragrance nonetheless.

tempbee123

In the beginning, it doesn't smells like original Alien at all. That or the original smell is overpowered by the spiciness of Fusion. It took a moment for the scent to fully develop. Tried it on a piece of paper first and just couldn't smell it so I went ahead with spraying it directly on me. I do like it now that I can smell it though. Definitely spicy. But as it dries down, you can smell the DNA of the Original Alien and it's a pretty nice combination.

Millicake88

Gorgeous bottle 😍 glistening brilliantly on top of the dresser like a fairy stone or meteorite. Love this spicy floral slightly fruity flanker of Alien. Super fresh and energetic. Musky and slightly soapy fresh out the shower feel. Ginger is prominent from start to finish keeping it from getting too fruity and sweet. Perfect summer/spring frag.
3 spray: 6hrs radiates arm length.

Aikipy

Very successful marriage between Alien and Eau Poivree from Hermès. Love it! Very spicy on me and I also detect a peppery note, even though it’s not in the description.

failedutopia

If you're familiar with and enjoy original Alien, it's a no-brainer, you're probably going to like this. It's very similar, but with an added gourmand note - jelly doughnut, or cinnamon bun with sugary glaze. Adds a plump, youthful, and fun quality to it. If you're someone who thinks the original smells like cat pee (I completely disagree with you, but I digress...) this might be the ticket to you enjoying the Alien line. Very nice, glad I purchased this even though it was a blind buy.

Pianomelody

A beautiful enveloping, charismatic and "dusty" perfume. Like cold crystal powder on a carpet of flowers, orange blossoms create brightness, as if it were a diamond. It is a particular and unique perfume! It also has something magical about it. Very beautifull!

Sillage: 7./10
Longevity: 8./10
Scent: 9./10

Overall: 9./10

xodvm

This is an absolutely AMAZING rendition of Alien. I really enjoy the original, but I do find it to be too much at times - especially in the summer. It can easily choke you out with how cloying it can be. This flanker has a freshness thanks to the ginger, and a beautiful warmth with the cinnamon. The tuberose is creamy and heady, and the orange blossom adds a welcomed zest. I find this is so much sexier than the original Alien. Mugler's fragrances are of the only kind that smell the same going on as they do hours later. I just wish the cinnamon was a little bit stronger.
The longevity is excellent, and I find that if worn in the summer the heat and sweat of the skin can turn this scent into a sex bomb. Once settled it gives off a bit of a gourmand feel. It's a very hot scent, something you would wear to seduce, to tease, to leave a memory of pure sex.

Vibi

I like it. It feels like Alien took off its heavy winter coat and put on a summer dress. You can still tell it's Alien but softer, warmer and a bit more spicy. The cinnamon is there, the ginger too and white florals make their way through it all. Vanilla comes out to play mainly in the drydown. I would say it's not a longetivity beast like Alien but the lasting power is moderate, lasts longer on my clothes than skin. If you are looking for a lighter but still intoxicationg version of Alien, you've found it.

lmnsvgz

Slightly spicier Alien. I don't see a huge difference especially in the drydown. Lasted on my hand for 8 hours after I tested it in the store.

acali21

Wow I have yet to smell an Alien flanker that I do not like! Definitely getting a lot of Alien Essence Absolue vibes here. I don’t smell this “big red gum” scent people are talking about. This reminds me of Alien Essence Absolue with a slight cinnamon component. Definitely a Winter or Fall Scent I would wear this more at night. I have a sample of this, can wait to buy a bottle!! Hopefully the bottle smells the same as the sample as now I see someone here saying they detect a change in the newer bottles. I see this came out February 2019 and L’Oreal bought Mugler in October 2019 if I’m not mistaken. But anyway, gorgeous scent and if you love Alien, especially Essence Absolue, you will love this!

Stephbean212

It's what they say: you're either an Alien girl or you're an Angel girl. I am hands down an Alien girl. Initially, I wasn't a fan of either but there is an addictive quality to the Alien line that just draws you in. Anyway, I purchased this on sale in my Macy's. Their remainder stock was relegated to their Backstage section so I can't complain about the price.

As with all Mugler packaging, this bottle doesn't disappoint. The orange red bottle is vivid, bright, ultimately matching its juice and stands out on your dresser.

Scent wise, you definitely get the Alien DNA but since this is an EDT, it isn't heavy and sultry as the original Alien. Initial spray you get the spicy, floral, and cinnamon notes and as it dries down you'll begin to pick up a soft ambery vanilla. While this is geared more towards summer, I think this can be worn year round.

If you like Alien but find it too heavy for everyday wear and want something akin to it with a bit of spicy flair, try and snatch this beauty.

zaraburtonshaw

I am obsessed with this!
This is a sweeter warmer version of Alien, I'm not sure that I agree with the statement that if you don't like Alien you will like this one, as it does have that DNA, but it is so much sweeter and warmer. I think that I love this even more than essence absolue which is a really big statement. Definitely in my top 2 alien flankers and out of the 6 that I have even if it doesn't end up topping essence absolue.
This is alien with added vanilla, cinnamon and ginger and it is delectable. I can't get enough of this warm spicy sweet rendition. Definitely a must have, get it from a store while you still can before the last bottles left are on ebay!

Zoë101

This is BIG RED GUM 🌶 by alien lol seriously, I get all of aliens DNA tinged by big red gum. Big red gum is a slight spiced cinnamon based gum so I guess that makes sense. If you don’t like alien, I’m sure you will NOT like this. Only for the fact that they are practically the same scent. This smells so much like alien just a sweeter version to be honest.

When I want alien, but sweet, I choose this. I’m madly addicted to alien, so safe to say I’m mad about this one as well just slightly less as I like the OG alien DNA 🧬 more than any other flanker personally. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it, but I’m pretty happy with this fix. It’s a strong like, a light love 💗 bottle is exactly like alien just red instead of purple. A gorge red gem in any collection 💋

RATING: 8.9/10.

star~kitty

Oh my God this is gorgeous! I’m not too familiar with OG Alien but this is beautiful. Maybe it’s my white floral weakness. This is like... what Classique should’ve been? I’m about 10 minutes in and I’m excited to see where it will go.

ignorabilis

A lighter, more playful (but still elegant) version of the original, as many already said. Although this is definitely not the same scent. Just similar. If you love the vibe of the original Alien or maybe even don't like the original, which I find quite heavy for the warmer months, this could be a great alternative for you. It's still a warm (spicy) fragrance but there's a lightness to it, that makes it perfect for every day.

kat716

This is the best alien summer version.. I can not detect any cinnamon. On my skin is alien plus heavy orange blossom.

greey

Pretty darn good i aint gonna, layering it with some fragrances make magic i like it alot and i am going to stack up on this beauty

brumbarche

With a heavy heart, I ended up selling my original Alien (and saving a decant for myself) in order to buy this one and given the wearing it gets, I am not regretting my choice the slightest. It's a more wearable, modern and versatile version of Alien to me. It's bright, sweet and not pretentious at all. The depth in the og ambery Alien is sensual, full of warmth and femininity, which I found myself reaching for in more special moments - I just had to be in the mood for it. Fusion is youthful, full of joy, luminous, exciting, but not annoyingly loud or bubblegum cloying (like Mancera's Velvet Vanilla could be) and I don't yet think twice when I reach for it - it just goes well with my mood. All its juicy aspects come solely from the spicy freshly cut ginger and that's about it - very very carefully chosen, transparent as watercolor and used with precise measure. No done to death pear or juvenile berries or anything that might get you quickly bored. The tuberose might be headache inducing for some people, but it's not aggressive here - it doesn't feel too heady, green or overwhelm you as if you just entered a flower-shop -- it feels sunny, like the sun follows you all year round. I'm not sure that this is exactly my summertime type of tuberose, though, solely due to other options on my summertime fragrance list. I wouldn't say it is safe for all office environments, but for as long as you wear it VERY lightly you may get away with it. Otherwise you will radiate femininity and seduction, with a great sillage.

Overall, should you have to choose a perfume to match your extroverted personality - bold and stunning, bright and happy, with a bit of warmth and spice - Fusion will add that sparkle to your smile. Although, (depending on age) it's best as a daytime everyday fragrance, you can virtually wear anytime and with any outfit. I can easily see how it may be a signature for a woman of any age with a sunny face and youthful energy. If you are this, but a bit shy, it may make you feel like you are too much in the spotlight, so maybe, for such days and in such case it may be your "party animal" perfume or simply your "date" perfume.
Which reminds me ... men love it. A lot. Goes great with white jeans, white t-shirt and red lipstick.

I have Armani's Malachite Rouge (it's in the "reminds me of section") and I take it as a far more serious and complicated fragrance, which I'd wear with care, for a far more decadent and mesmerizing experience. It's far more sophisticated, smells more expensive, but despite the similarities it doesn't make Alien Fusion redundant in my collection. They serve different purposes and have different places in my heart.

hanbanana

This started off so promising with a blast of ginger and cinnamon and a slightly gourmand quality from the vanilla peeking through. This was going to be the one! The fall fragrance of my dreams! A less Dr Pepper-y, more feminine version of Viktor & Rolf's Spicebomb! Alas... it quickly morphed into pure orange blossom on my skin. A big, headache-inducing, grape bubblegum-smelling, undeniable orange blossom. It was not to be.

Coquita

When Alien was a little girl, she used to go into her mother's bedroom to play grown-up and wreak havoc. She would mess-up with her wardrobe first, putting on her mum's pumps and a bright-red, sequined party dress her mum sometimes wears at home to remember her party girl phase. Next, she'd move to the dressing table, grab a gold metallic tube and try to tint her lips, but ended up looking more like a clown than Cindy Crawford. Finally, she'd also overspray perfume all over, because who wouldn't want to smell good?
One day, mama Alien came into her room, and her first impression was that Alien looked outrageous, clashy, and out of place. "What is she thinking? She's too young!". Nonetheless, she stayed by the door, observing her from a distance. She started to notice, then, that Alien was not trying to be sexy: she's just a young girl who wants to have fun portraying what she believes a woman is. There's so much sweetness and candor in her actions and, even if her portrayal is flawed.
Realizing this, the mother couldn't help but smile at little Alien who, noticing her mum is there, returned a smile of complicity and asked "Don't I look dazzling?"

Warmthandlight

I’m realizing I’m just not an Alien gal no matter how much I wish I liked it! To me, this smells like Alien with a dash of cinnamon, so if you aren’t a fan of Alien, you probably won’t like this either.

It's an addiction

On a test strip this somehow seemed very similar to Dolce & Gabbana The Only One Intense. Is there anyone more experienced with this able to confirm or deny this?

* Update: This is VERY DIFFERENT on my SKIN. It's in between the OG Alien and Essence Absolue, but way lighter. Love the dry down, but unfortunately, once it reaches that, it already starts to disappear. A beast on clothing though! Okay transition scent in my opinion.

First sniff, and i marked this as my signature scent. Its somehow sweet but not in a gourmand kind of sweet. Its fresh without being citrusy. Its rounded but still has that airy quality. And you can definitely tell that this is alien’s flanker. It has alien’s amazing dna but its brighter and sweeter. Its animalic that makes the perfume unique and i can only detect a slight spiciness unlike what other people say. The dry down is softer than before, but still packs a punch but i think the sandalwood kicks in and the vanilla kind wraps it together. Its yummy from the first spray until the very last leftover linger on the skin. And DAMN this perfume is intoxicating for me. I cant stop sniffing my wrist and i can smell some whiffs of it throughout the day which i absolutely love. I, as a gourmand lover, actually prefer this to any gourmand perfumes out there. It hits the sweet spot without being nauseating that sometimes gourmand could give. First sniff and i can already tell this is the perfume ive been dreaming about.

lorihollie

Smells like original Alien. Perhaps a bit spicier in the opening. Its a nice flanker but I don't feel like you need it (unlike Alien Essence Absolue which you absolutely need!). Problem is the longevity is very bad. I did around 7 sprays and 5 hours later - you smell absolutely nothing. Maybe some vanilla if you smell the exact place you sprayed it on. In other words it sits very close to the skin. Overall rating 6/10. Still a nice fragrance that I for sure will use.

Veanera

This is easily the best Alien flanker out there. Its sweet but a different type of sweet that is unlike what you would get in common warm sweet candy cake fragrances in my opinion and obviously it has the alien DNA which is amazing it itself.

Wwoman

I hunted down a sample of this because on paper it pushes all the right buttons for me. I adore tuberose and amber, and a little spiciness with the amber makes things even better. Therefore, I'm not surprised I really like this. I wouldn't call it an instant love, but it's definitely going on my wants list. It's warm and inviting, but still has a decadent floral edge to it that makes it not JUST warm and spicy. It smells more complex than the number of notes listed above. Bring someone who really values complexity in fragrances, I think that's impressive. This is perfect for colder months, but the tuberose make it so really you could wear it anytime. It has a medium amount of sillage on me and fairly good lasting power. If you are like me and amber, tuberose, and spices are up your alley, this is worth a try.

So disappointed!!

Believe it or not, I have NEVER tried any version of "Alien" before!! Reading reviews on the original and all these flankers, I decided this was one of the three I had to search out and try.

I happened upon this in a store earlier this week (on a warm sunny autumn day), and the SA sprayed it once onto my forearm. And either I went completely anosmic to it, or the scent disappeared completely from my arm in less than an hour! :(

I could definitely smell it for the hour, but it really wasn't what I was expecting (where was the cinnamon??!), and I was surprised that it didn't last longer, because the reviews all say it's a powerhouse! I am super jealous, because I really thought I would love this!

I am glad I got to try it, and will move on to my other two top "Alien" choices!

Scentflower

I want to start off by saying I'm not the biggest fan of Alien perfume. Its just way to much jasmine for me. Like just pure jasmine. I've had the original Alien and sold it. So I bought Alien Fusion hearing about the cinnamon note in it...I've been loving cinnamon lately, hoping it amp it up and I fall in love. Sadly the cinnamon note in here is so light its barely detectable. I want to love Alien and its flankers but this is really a ah, ok I guess for me. I'm going to try and layer it with something sweet and see if that does anything. I don't have a pure cinnamon perfume that won't clash. Maybe some added sweetness will help.

Edit: It lasts a hour on me then is such a skin scent. Will not purchase ever again

PiperOK31

This made me extremely nauseous to the point I thought I had a stomach bug, but it was just this fragrance. It smells like a cigarette filled casino mixed with perfume to me, or my mother's purse when she had Marlboro cigarettes and Pepsi.

Aurelijama

An absolute beauty of a perfume. Sadly I love smelling it on other people rather than me. Perfect for transitioning into fall season. I have a 60ml bottle of it on my depop account, used only twice for £40. @aurelijama if anyone is interested and if you are in the uk

Bwiller

Fall in a bottle. Period. The cinnamon in this is amazing. This was beautiful in the summer & even better now that fall is around the corner.

corkscrewcurly

Very short review.

Disclaimer: I adore Alien, for which reason I have many flankers.

Received this today and spritzed it 17 hours ago. Still projecting (son in law asked me what I was wearing an hour or so ago, and that he loved it, but I admit to be an over-sprayer). He was over one metre from me, but downwind.

This is a bloody gorgeous version of Alien. It's spicy, but an easy love for people who can't deal with the Oud version.

Bloody good stuff.

Anyone who says it has poor longevity suffers from nose-blindness or has an axe to grind. I can still smell it (and suffer from nose-blindness) 17 hours ago.

ivana_novakovic3

All I'm gonna say is: this is sex in a bottle.

Ictzo

I like this parfum but sadly it only lasts for 4 or 5 hours. The projection and longevity is weak to almost none in the summer. A big disappointment but its understandable since Loreal has taken over the Thierry Mugler company.
No scent that would ever come out in the future will be worth the money. Its how I feel about Loreal and their awful mess. Everything in stores has been reformulated and even the limited edition packages. I have a big dislike for Loreal with their blunders. NO, more money spent on you Mugler (Loreal). Rip Thierry Mugler cos you have no legacy after all the sweat and tears you put into your products that we most have enjoyed.

yuliyalana

LOVE! The first time I sprayed it on my arm I loved the opening because I am a sucker for fruity/floral generic perfumes. Then it got so leathery and smoky that I thought I hated it. A couple hours later my boyfriend commented that he really liked it, but I was not convinced. The next morning I smelled the shirt I sprayed it on and omg I was in love..!

Two days later I got Armani Prive Rouge Malachite to try out and couldn't figure out why it smelled so familiar, and then it hit me..they smell so much alike! I liked RM more at first because it didn't have the weird leather note, but even though I showered in RM it disappeared in 2 hours :(

I am now really into Alien Fusion - it smells strong, lasts a long time, and I am getting into it's leather note. I also got the original Alien but it smells like nothing..literally. It's so sad that I didn't get to try the original one before it got reformulated, I feel like I really missed out.

Supermonipower

This was definitely a miss for me.

I blind bought this based on the reviews but I am disappointed. It is like alien but way too sweet for me!!

Gonna resell this.

elliya1980

This is spicy version of the original one. I love the opening. It's fresh and spicy and also the dry down. Quite similar with the original one but it's lighter, cleaner, and less heavy.

casznava

It's crazy to me how they managed to make a scent that makes me feel like I am in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones the scene where Anakin and Obi-Wan Kanobi are chasing that guy who put the worms in Padme's bed. Anyways, they're chasing this person all over the city through this club. This club is filled with difference kinds of aliens or species and it looks really elegant and fun all at the same time. LOL I swear if that scene had a fragrance it would be this and it's scary accurate.

Alien to me smells very crips and clean but Alien Fusion def smells like an alien club/party. The leather note in this brings out alien sweat images even more and it's ridiculous. It's definitely a "hey look at me" fragrance. It's loud, fun, sweet yet kind of a clean body odor if that makes ANY SENSE. This has more of a grape vibe to it than Alien so it is sweet.

I really do like it a lot !! But it can be very polarizing so I would pick this up when I am in the mood. I have to be in a really good mood to enjoy this. On the other hand, Alien the original is much more manageable and can get me to be in a good mood in cold temperatures.

hollymichaelm

I like this fragrance but I can understand how Alien lovers would be disappointed.

Alien Fusion opens with fresh candied ginger, moves to an animalic leather note and the vanilla, cinnamon and amber make an appearance in the dry down.

This is a very confident, sexual, fun fragrance.
It's more forward than the original Alien which is dark and mysterious. I think of this as Alien's sexy younger sister, partying on a hot summer night.

This reminds me of Alien essence absolut, as it's somewhat sweet and vanilla, but it has a fresher vibe from the ginger and a more provocative vibe from the leather note.

Alien's sexy younger sister for sure. She's confident!

Swedelish

Fusion doesn't smell like I thought it would. I'll say I'm glad I only bought 30 ml. Reviews that say it smells like Alien + cinnamon aren't wrong, but there's more to the whole picture that could be said that might help someone who thinks they know what Fusion will smell like based on reviews and what you know about Alien edp. I wanted to love it, but there is some curveball action with this one.

At first blast I was hard pressed to recognize Alien DNA, and I'm familiar with the og. Gave it a few minutes then I noticed the Alien amber, which is in every Alein flanker I've tried. I don't smell cinnamon or ginger per se, I smell ever so slightly spicy white flowers, as in, could pass as the natural spicy nuance of said flowers. Nothing obvious, it's all pretty nondescript at this point.

In the mid, what I can only assume is tuberose, smells like fruity candy. Yes, to me Fusion is the fruitiest Alien flanker I've encountered. It's bizzare, I actually smell undercurrents of several other mainstream designer fragrances all at once. It doesn't smell like Alien, it's not exactly a tropical beachy scent (though kinda suggests it). Very strange overall, but not really unique.

All in all, Fusion smells like a departure for Thierry Mugler. Indeed, it smells like L'Oreal made it, I'm sorry to say. It's so strongly fruity generic in the mid it lacks character. I'm not bashing, I adore Thierry Mugler. I have Innocent, Angel edt & edp, Alien edp, Alien Sunessence, Taste of Fragrance and Essence Absolue. Adore each and every one for many reasons. But Fusion isn't doing it for me. Is more fruity floral than oriental floral.

Reminds me of something I can't put my finger on. Smells a little retro, like a frag from the early 2000s I smelled at the mall, or on a friend. Will update if it comes to me.

Longevity isn't great. Few hours. Wears close to the skin. Summer scent for sure.

JacquieDS

Love at first sniff, amazing, unique and quirky like Kenzo Elephant & Alien

Exenidi

😄😄😄wannabe Armani Prive Rouge Malachite. Almost dupe but not there yet. Maybe Mugler takes a brave step further and calls it Alien Fusion Essence - which could tick all the sweet spots for tuberose fans. At Alien price level I’d switch from beloved Armani MR.

yurkin

First off, I love love love the fragrance itself, it's so tasty almost edible. Like Fusion between Angel and Alien. It starts spicy but I can't exactly recognise a ginger, it smells like patchouli to me. The opening it's just gorgeous. The fragrance in itself, heart and base is also absolutely gorgeous. There's something unique about the sweetness here I can only call ~pure magic~ the same way I think about Aura. And I thought the only bad part of it is the longetivity buuut I wore it today as well as few other times. So the only difference was that today the weather is not as hot as it was. Rather windy. So I think this fragrance behaves better is windy chill time, chill but I'm wearing shorts so yeah. Spring/Fall perfume. For the records today I put it at noon, and it's currently 6:30pm and I still can smell it on my skin

Btw, kinda strange association but I'm drinking it right now, and before I had the same thought but forgot to mention it.. So.. If you want to know how this smell you should try Drinking Schweppes Mandarin, but not one sip, you drink solidly like you're very thirsty (like I am really now) And the Taste is exactly like the scent of the fragrance

labonvie

My favorite Alien flanker.
Personally, I get rather annoyed by the endless sea of flankers. I’m not just talking Mugler. It always seems like a lazy cash-grab. I don’t want a slight twist on a favorite, I want something brand new that blows me away. Alien Fusion is not very new but it is absolutely breathtaking. In this case, I’ll forgive repetitiveness because this is just gorgeous. For me, what makes thus a standout is how it wears. It leaps off my skin and dances in the air. I don’t feel carpet bombed by the aroma, but gently cradled. Based on the notes, I was expecting it to be heavier. No. This is a summery, more tropical Alien. The tuberose is deliciously bubble-gummy, gently lifted by spices.
I stopped myself from buying this for so long because I had flanker fatigue. If you get one Alien flanker, this should be it. The red bottle is reason enough to own it.

agj

Smells like the original alien with an added cinnamon note which just transforms it for me. I simply can not get enough of this fragrance, I have the 60ml bottle but honestly im debating buying a backup on eBay since L'Oreal has taken over mugler fragrances I am so scared they will ruin what is a masterpiece fragrance to me. Love love love it is truly intoxicating.

NanaLoBell

This is my... omg I cannot. I LOVE this.

Here is the lil story: Somewhere around middle school, I had this fragrance Halle by Halle Berry. Cannot count how many bottles of this amazing juice I bought. I got pretty bored so changed fragrances to some other ones and then Halle got discounted.

I tried florals, gourmands, chypre but at some point I was always coming back to amber + floral perfumes.

After 14 bottles I got in finding my "one" this is it.

This is proud, sexy, georgeous. This is the girl in her 25yo best year. She has her skin tanned by lotion, flat stomach, working out to get her dopamine. She is going out with her friends every weekend in her skinny, high waisted jeans and crop top. She doesn't care for calories. She would ride her bike to other city just to have fun.

it's stays forever on my skin. and clothes.

OMG I love this!!! Gorgeous!Yes all Muglers share the same DNA, but that doesn't make them the same. My hubs loves it :) The bottle is beautiful.

ridgel

I love a good flanker and this is surely a good spin on the beloved OG. I just wish it was a different white floral than orange blossom which doesn’t develop well on my skin. If it was a tuberose instead I think I’d be sold. A solid like and definitely appreciated, plus the bottle looks so good in the line up.

Edit- in colder months orange blossom is less prominent and this is a citrus and spicy version of original with less powerhouse silage. Loving it. It’s been making me feel so bright and happy

Midnight cat

I love alien edp I thought that might be quite similar. Not at all.
When I sprayed it reminded me direct mon guerlain
It's only me ?
Pleasant enough but I don't think I would buy it.

WRISTBATTLE: Mugler Alien VS. Mugler Alien Fusion

I'm testing 2 scents I've never smelled on me before on my wrists and my boyfriend (as usual) judges them without knowing what they are.

ALIEN: Ooh, floral. Deep. Niiiiice. Lovely. I've refrained from trying Alien before because I detested Angel, but that was clearly a mistake. This is great, real quality, just like Aura. Very strong jasmine. I love this stuff, it's so well done! It is developing more towards the sharper end of the white floral and loses a bit of it's deep opening, but that is typical for my skin.

ALIEN FUSION: OMGWOW! This opening makes me so happy! I so seldomly love the opening of a scent. The cinnamon makes the fruitiness smell exciting, even though I'm not a fan of ginger. Hot stuff turning into a sizzling vanilla. I'm buzzing.

SEXY-factor: I don't know tbh, a 6/10 for Alien and a 7.5/10 for Fusion? I've seen this hilarious video by Curly Scents on YouTube with 2 guys in a blind test giving Alien high marks in the sexiness department, but on me, Alien is this very wearable, very nice, office-safe white floral. (Reformulation maybe?)

I ran over to my boyfriend (35) to have him judge both. He thought Alien had "too many flowers" and it reminded him a little too much of "toilet spray". Yikes. Just as no two skins are the same, no two noses are, apparently. But I sort of agree with him. Lovely soapiness on Alien, near-zero sexiness.

BUT: he loves Fusion! 8+/10, according to him. He actually smiled and kept smelling it. I'm still not sure if it's super-sexy, but Fusion has swag. This is for the cool girls. Strong-headed and carefree. I know the bottle is red, but this scent is overwhelmingly yellow to me for some reason, like Lala from the Teletubbies. Weird association, I know. My little sister wears shiny yellow Dr. Martens boots and she's awesome, this scent would be so cute on her. I'm personally looking for a serious evening scent and both of these don't quite float my boat for that, so I'll give 'em to her.

kastehelmi

I love this! It smells more like Alien before the reformulation. That synthetic but vibrant, rich white floral heart! This does the same thing with tuberose and orange blossom that the original does with jasmine sambac. It has a strange quality that reminds me of the addictive smell of new tire rubber. It doesn't smell like new tires, it just has a dash of that. The creamy orange blossom makes me think of Love By Kilian as well. I tend to love more natural smelling floral notes, but Mugler has a special talent with attractive completely artificial elixirs. They can be too much at times, but I always want to revisit them. I still long for the original Alien most of all though.

lularoelauriehicks

I have found "my Alien"! Although it's not quite as strong as the original, this one doesn't give me a headache. It also has a sweet, seductive quality coming from the spices and its so delicious!! It still has good lasting power and projection. I could see this being a great signature.

AnitaHendricks

Beautiful! This perfume has the Alien DNA but it's not as strong and overwhelming. The notes are warm and quite soft. You could wear this to work!

Alien fusion
Skin test

I’m glad I didn’t blind buy this one, I was tempted.
It’s warm, sweet, dusky powder, dry ish, cinnamon (flavour), around the edges.
It is nice, I just found the middle and dry down a bit flat on me.
It’s quite well blended, Just on my skin it’s the amber, cinnamon, sweet from vanilla but not sickly, gives me those feels.

I could test again, I think it’s still around. Nice but I’m not rushing out for it.

justfloral

It smells like Alien without grape soda

After spraying it is dry, almost woody (for several seconds I smelled dill? tobacco?, cigarette smoke).
After a minute: It smells like the core of Alien, that cooling minty note, something like wintergreen + naphtaline + needles of a coniferous tree.
After one hour: I detect also candy-like note of orange flower.
The perfume is "stratified", after spraying it is "harsher" ascetic version of Alien and in the end it seems even more flowery.
I love Alien better.

auroramaria

I like this one a lot I find it sweet and lovely especially the cinnamon note which is dlne do well plus the otange blossoms give a zesty vibe to the composition.Lo ely

missk

There are seriously too many Alien flankers. Although I do enjoy every Alien flanker, I'm becoming bored. There are only so many ways you can tweak the jasmine note in Alien before you run out of ideas.

Alien Fusion is more about the bright burnt orange bottle than the scent. In many ways, Alien Fusion is not so different from the original Alien EDP. It's a touch sweeter and has a more syrupy amber base if we were to break it down into the specifics.

Alien Fusion is a loud jasmine fragrance, very sensual and captivating on the skin. It has that signature Alien jasmine accord, which is less about a bouquet of fresh jasmine blooms and more about the dense, sultriness of this popular floral note. There are a few additional notes like spicy ginger and orange blossom added to this flanker, which are minor tweaks to the original Alien.

Had you not smelt the original Alien or any of its subsequent flankers before, Alien Fusion would totally 'rock your socks off'. It's unlike anything on the current market and there is a good reason why this is such a popular sell. It all boils down to which bottle design you prefer; the deep amethyst packaging of the original or this bright, burnt orange Alien Fusion. Take your pick.

Both the original eau de parfum and Alien Fusion last incredibly well on the skin. I would recommend wearing this flanker during the cooler months due to its rather loud projection. I think Alien Fusion would make a great nigh-clubbing fragrance or a pleasant date night scent if applied with a light hand.

Carpe Noctem

I REALLY really love this! I came to the Alien party late, but this is so refreshing and bold. I put it on over 18 hours ago and it's still strong on my skin. Now this one and Alien Absolu are my favorites, but luckily I don't have to choose. I do smell a lot of jasmine in this, even though it's not listed. I don't get any cinnamon and the ginger is not overwhelming.

ION

A more mainstream and introverted version of the original with a touch of candy that makes it also less special. I like it, but it doesn't last as long as I would have hoped.

Cathped

After some hours on my arm this smells like jasmine and sweet nuts/almonds. Not too bad to be in the Alien family, but it still reminds me too much of the original, which i can't say that I like.

ntabassum92

Right out of the sample, I can smell the ginger, which I wish was more prominent on the skin. I can feel the tingle of it when I smell my wrist, but it doesn't really register as ginger once the amber swarms over it. I smell no tuberose - this is an orange blossom Alien that really isn't too different from the original?

See, I say that, because when I smell up close, it smells pretty much like Alien to me...but when I smell it later on clothes, it reminds me of other perfumes, like Olympea Intense (as mentioned by someone else.) It's a very sweet Alien, lots of vanilla and amber come to the forefront. It is intoxicating, but not in the same way OG Alien is - you want more, but you also can tell that it's not as unique. For this reason, it's a little less spell-binding. I wish I had my bottle of the original with me so I could pinpoint the difference exactly, because I'm having trouble deciding what it is...but what I do know is that for me, the original will always be Queen.

Nil3

This perfume just confirms , that I am NO dominated Amber person !
I already know my style and type , so I’m not really looking for my signature or perfect scent, which I already have . Just tried it on today . A scrubber for me.

km1266

Smells like a slightly spicier version of the original. The original Alien was already extremely sweet and adding cinnamon has took it to another level. It can be considered a nice scent, but it's way too sweet and overpowering, I can imagine myself getting a headache from this. If it actually smelt like ginger and if it wasn't so similar to the original, I would probably like it.

melialyn

This is just a first impression review, I will add more after fully wearing for a day. I just spritzed once on the back of my hand with a sample Mugler was so gracious to send with the Eau extraordinaire 👍🏻

Top notes notes initially STRONGLY reminded me of Olympea Aqua EDPL, which I have a FB of and really enjoy in the summer. But I get that same warm, salty sweet vibe, and from what I've read that's solar? I'm anxious to see how it dries down cause I'm liking it. When I'm done my bottle of Olympea it may be a contender. :)
