Angel Nova by Mugler is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. Angel Nova was launched in 2020. Angel Nova was created by Sonia Constant, Louise Turner and Quentin Bisch. Top notes are Raspberry and Litchi; middle note is Damask Rose; base notes are Akigalawood and Benzoin.

Mugler introduces the new heroine of the Angel line in June 2020, called Angel Nova. Angel Nova is announced as an assertive, irresistible and daring fragrance for the modern heroine and the Mugler universe that combines dream, fantasy and reality. The slogan of the perfume calls for you to "live up to your dreams."

The woody-fruity-floral composition is born from a fusion of "addictive" raspberry fruity note, sensual accord of "super-natural" Damask rose and woody structure of akigalawood and benzoin, for Mugler’s distinctive perfume signature.

The face of the perfume is German model Toni Garrn. The bottle remains star-shaped (which is now "standing") in a bright, raspberry pink color. Mugler Angel Nova is available as a 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

was really looking forward to this one. i love sweet, fruity smells and was hoping this would be a good option for summer. initial spray (1hr~) was lovely and fruity, unfortunately the top notes faded very quickly and i was left with sharp, powdery rose that reminded me of scented baby wipes.

amcintron5

It’s giving Delina. I am surprised no one has mentioned the similar scent profile.

anamawsity

On paper, this was super fruity, but on my skin, it’s a vase full of sharp smelling roses, with hints of green from the stems and leaves. While it’s still sweet, I can’t stand how intense the rose is. Absolutely not for me. It has moderate sillage and lasts about 4 hours on my skin. The EDT version is pretty similar, but it’s even less fruity.

jasminepriestess

I’m a huge Mugler fan and to me, their fragrances are nuclear and Avant garde.
The OG Angel is among my favorites of all time; Angel Muse was my signature and remains a favorite and I’m still sad it’s gone. Alien is my night out scent and is my recent Mugler of choice.

Angel Nova is the last of the Muglers to be somewhat nuclear.

On the surface, it’s generic. A basic lychee rose scent that’s been done a million times. However, there is something that makes it fluorescent and over-the-top. She’s not just what meets the eye. There’s a lovely trashy, flamboyant quality to this fragrance that takes it beyond basic.
People describe it here as “screechy” or “plasticky”— and it is! It’s not natural, it’s audacious despite being basic on the surface.

It’s very juicy and fun, very feminine but with a masculine edge.
I know a Drag Queen who wears this and it’s perfection.
My boyfriend (very traditionally masculine) loves this on both me and on him. The wood/oud (fake oud? Idk) is smoother on him whereas the rose comes out more on me.

This is a neon perfume. A hot pink juice bomb that stains everything neon pink. It IS nuclear, with crazy longevity and throw. It’s not for the wallflower.

>Happy Cat<

Talk to me about good quality perfumes! The lyche and raspberry are mouthwatering, sweet and juicy, the oud makes it interesting and stand out from other designer fragrances. The longevity and silage are incredible, better than niche. LOVE <3

TarahB

Absolutely LOVE this!!
Fruity, juicy, sweet lychee bomb!!😍
It’s EXTREMELY long lasting!

Lilboggs

I was looking for a sweet fruity scent for summer and thought this was going to be perfect. The sweetness lasted a solid minute on me and then for about six hours I just smelled like pepper. I really thought this was what I was looking for but I was so wrong

judearose123

I received a sample of this in 2020 with a Sephora order and I instantly hated it. Something about the rose/litchi combo was way too much for me back then. Fast forward to 2022, I spot the beautiful pink bottle at Ulta and try it again and I fall in love with the femininity of the florals & fruits. My only issue with this fragrance is the damn akigalawood in the base. The drydown is so spicy and scratchy because of that woody note, it turns my stomach if I overspray my skin and it almost smells like a fruity men’s cologne. Speaking of over spraying, this is the strongest perfume in my collection by far. Mugler did their thing when they curated this fragrance, I promise you that you will regret more than 3 sprays. I threw it on before work and didn’t really consider the fact that it’s an insane powerhouse and I definitely got some disgusted looks for a few hours. I’m going to layer this scent with a few bright & bubbly scents to sweeten up that woody base and try to enjoy it this summer. I wish Mugler fragrances still packed a punch like they used to before L’Oréal.

Fun story: I actually just deleted my first review from a few months ago. It wasn’t favorable. At first, I thought it smelled like a nuclear version of Bombshell with dry akigalawood and I couldn’t stand it. Felt plasticy and cheap.

Well..fast forward to me smelling it again, basically cementing my decision to sell it. And let’s just say it was at that moment that I knew I had f’ed up..WHAT was I even thinking?? This was FUN, vibrant, and sparkly, but also has depth and a BIG presence. Either the fragrance is bipolar or I am, but I digress..because as it turns out Angel Nova is my kind of crazy; crazy GOOD!

I mean, truly went from being on my hate list to an instant LOVE. I think two things happened:

1) Allowing it time to sit somehow rounded out the initial notes I found irritating (tart litchi and akigalawood).

2) I learned to relax that trigger finger because less is way more with this Angel; allows for a more nuanced experience with the aforementioned litchi and akigalawood.

Definitely no relation whatsoever with Angel.
And I’m ok with that because this pink star shines all on her own.

liquidangel

not as unique or as interesting compared to the others in the angel collection, one of my favourites due to the sweet berry, fresh and floral notes. A girly perfume that isnt as generic as they come

Sparkle sprinkle

Grab a bag of Halls lozenges in flavor ‘cool berry’ and you quite literally have this scent. How is patchouli not listed in this?? I smell a huge amount of it & its absolutely nuclear and nauseating to my nose.
My 18-year-old sister loves this perfume, wears it as a signature, when she hugs me, I still smell it on my clothes hours after she’s gone. It’s really too bad that this is so offputting to my nose.
Weirdly medicinal undertone, not a fan.
14year old son thinks it smells amazing though.

RhettB27

Nova is a premier option for something fruity, fun, and sexy, and it ranks highly for me in general just being an amazing fragrance. Juicy, jammy, and addictive to smell, if you enjoy fruity fragrances this is a must try. That airy fruity litchi is also an amazing touch

Make_It_Make_Scents

I like this wayyyy more than OG Angel. I wouldn't call Angel Nova a flanker it is so vastly different that it might as well be its own pillar perfume. Angel Nova is a slightly sweet fruity floral with woody base. Not what I would expect from a house like Mugler, but this came out around the time of the L'Oreal acquisition. The dry down kind of gives Delina-ish vibes. But only a little bit. Angel Nova is a fruitier, more basic and less complex version, and it doesn't have that rhubarb note that I hate lol.

kntmomma

This is a subtle sweet fruity floral on me. It's the essence of "basic". There's nothing that stands out about this scent. It's soft and subtle with an intimate sillage. I feel like you could find this at the dollar store. I received a sample of this, but I would not purchase a full-size. It's a pretty, workplace safe scent. It's just boring and weak for my personal liking.

dorsi007

This straight-up smells like a children's perfume - extremely sweet, like sticky candy. Not a fan at all. It gets a tiny bit better as time passes by, but I wouldn't wear it nor would I recommend it to anyone older than 16. You can smell it for a long time and I wouldn't spray it more than one or two times, that's more than enough.

cawico7

Lychee bomb. I don't get any raspberry, maybe raspberry-flavored candy, but not the real fruit. This is all about lychee, and I really like how it's presented in this fragrance. Very refreshing, sweet and fun. It's not exactly my cup of tea, but if I did wear fruity fragrances, this would be the first one on my wishlist. Oh, and yes, this is nothing like the original Angel at all.

loverstigmata

I bought this because I wanted something fruity for summer. I usually go for spicier unisex perfumes. This is a nice perfume and I actually like it a lot. I do however think this fragrance is incredibly sweet. It reminds me of candy so it does seem kind of youthful, which I don't have a problem with personally. It's a fun fragrance.

HoneyRum

Wow I really don't like this unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, its not horrible but it's just REALLY not for me. Very artificial/sharp woody scent topped with raspberry. I actually like the raspberry and lychee notes in this but the wood just overpowers everything else in the perfume for me. I've given it 3 full day wears and while, again, its not absolutely terrible I don't want to waste another day wearing it.
I don't think I would mind if someone else were wearing it, I just don't want the smell following me around all day.

“This has a similar ID to the original Angel“

I’m sorry but WHAT???!!! WHERE?!?!?! I think as far as all us Mugler fans are concerned, Nova EDP and Nova EDT were adopted into the line just so the company could manufacture pretty pink stars. I love Angel and all its flankers, I can admit when a fragrance is riding the star’s coattails and doesn’t actually have anything to do with the OG.

I’m just, truly confuzzled. 😹 Nova similar to the OG Angel… You must be high, girl!

YenSung

I couldn't stand this perfume for around 2 years because all I could smell was an odd artificial oud but all of the sudden this fragrance changed, or was it me?? Now what I can smell is a cheerful fruity and juicy scent with a fluffy fresh marshmallow undertone. It can be slightly childish but it's definitely a fun scent and one that got me plenty of compliments. I went from not standing it to using it every single day

wuddalooo

Sorry to say that I really dislike this! It’s very sweet and to me also verrrry woody/peppery! If you like it you’re in luck because it is possibly the longest lasting, biggest projecting sweet, fruity summer sent I’ve ever tried …I had a sample sprayed on my hand hours ago and I can’t wash it off!! I can definitely smell it on someone else across the room -I work in a large pub and I could smell it on a girl sitting on the far side from behind the bar!

Bottom line (to me!): a peppery lychee scent backed up with raspberry and rose.

strawberrystar

It's okay. I am not crazy about it but it's nice. Very fruity and loud, I really get a synthetic raspberry but I like it. Not that similar to Very Good Girl to me, as VGG is much more smooth and vanillic.

limelime

I wouldn't say it's screechy or synthetic or generic, but something about this is wildly off-putting to me. Gives me a headache and I can't tell if it's the raspberry or the lychee. One spray and you'll smell it all day, all around you, unforgivably. Wish I could say it's the pleasant fruit bomb other people seem to say it is but this is a pass for me.

dripekbozoglu

When I first bought it, it felt like a clean, fresh scent. but over time the scent started to have a sugary and fruity opening. I don't feel the rose note in it. It smells more like a gummy fruit. That's why it's a perfume I regret buying. ı dont like it so much. meh

wondervalley666

It’s ok. It isn’t bad at all. It’s nice! It’s just kind of boring and basic. I mostly get lychee. Mostly smells like a mainstream designer fruity body spray. You could tell me this is a new Victorias Secret and I’d respond, “yeah I could have guessed.”

No DNA of the original Angel at all, which is tragic. I don’t even recognize the akigalawood, though I own and have sampled many Quentin Bisch scents. The rose is hiding from the lychee bomb. The rose basically gives it a light soapy musk vibe. That’s about it. It’s a linear scent.

I own Delina and Very Good Girl and ignored the Nova scents because I thought they were considered essentially the same scent. They’re not. Delina is much more expensive and complex smelling with distinctive florals. VGG is a sexy vanilla bomb version of Delina without the loud peony note, and my husband loves VGG the most out of all my perfumes. Nova is just the basic mainstream youthful fruity body spray dupe of those gems.

I find the official description hilarious: “assertive, irresistible and daring fragrance for the modern heroine.” Naw, dude, this is what sorority girls who all dress the same and dye their hair the same shade of blonde wear.

It’s a nice scent, I’m not trying to come off as rude. I wouldn’t cringe if I was stuck in an office next to a woman wearing this the way I used to cringe when I was assaulted by Victorias Secret Love Spell on a daily basis for more than 10 years. But this isn’t unique, bold, daring, assertive, or anything. It’s mainstream designer fruity sweet meant to please and appeal to masses. There isn’t much to it that stands out, unless you overspray, in which case I can tell this wouldn’t be kind to sensitive noses in tight spaces if oversprayed. I think that’s due to the raspberry note. If you’re a fan of lychee-rose scents, you already know what the good ones are. I don’t think Novas scent or quality justify the price point at all. I also wish it had a touch of patchouli as I can’t consider anything a true Angel flanker without the signature scent of patchouli.

Okay, but won’t be buying a FB, even though I like the pink star.

Dusktildawn

Angelic for the right person is a way to sum up this perfume in a few words. It has prominent lychee and raspberry notes and after warming on the skin you get this beautiful fruity-sweet-tart fusion. I’ve been told it doesn’t smell great on most people, but if you’re like me whose chemistry works with it, you’re going to smell deliciously edible. The longevity and sillage is insane! We’re talking 12+ hours and a couple spritz is all you need.
I’ve had my bottle for 2 years which has macerated beautifully. I can smell some subtle similarity of original angel.

Lilasthefrenchgirl

This smells actually out of this world, wth is this scent. An alien would wear this.

FranziBE

I love it… it last forever on me and the lichee stands the most

armipagan

This is a chameleon of a fragrance. What starts off so d*mn mouth watering and fruity then morphs into a more masculine fruity wood perfume. It has become one of my favorites and my most complimented perfume to date. Hope this never goes away because it's one I'll keep purchasing.

Maksymilian

Woody, tart, ever-so densely floral. Angel Nova plants its roots firmly in the dirt, spreads its ruby red petals forward, and begs to be embraced…
My first experience with this fragrance, was a short sample at Ulta, when they VERY briefly had it in stock. The opening grabbed my attention with the blooming, almost artificially luscious raspberry. It’s eye catching, with hints of aquatic tart, lychee, coming into the mix.
I’ll admit, at first I wasn’t sure I’d like Nova, the opening made me shake my head, but as it dried on my skin I began to love it more and more.

I’m a sucker for rose, and Damask Rose especially is densely floral. And it’s used so delicately, but in sensual overdose here. It’s reminiscent of Very Good Girl’s dry down, with that slightly woody floralcy. However the sheer power of Akigalawood and Benzoin provide a lasting and confident base structure.

Longevity is honestly quite amazing on this. It’s close to ”mother” Angel, which is saying something. It lasts for 8-10hrs on my skin, and days on my clothes. I sprayed it on my cardigan 4 days ago, and can still smell it on the sleeve.
I’ll admit Nova doesn’t pull THAT many compliments, this is a more mass appealing Muglerian fragrance. So don’t expect that smelly gourmand patchouli bomb, but what you’re getting… Is a highly refined fruit bomb, with a sexy undergrowth of rose, and Oud-like woods.

I’d buy this any day over, Angel “””Elixir”””. I picked this up from Aura Fragrance (NA discounter) for about $77/100ml + free shipping, well worth that price!
Highly recommend this spring/summer Angel!

Anarig97

This has a similar ID to the original Angel, but I prefer this perfume more. Even so, I don't love it because this still has that slight medicinal note that comes off too strongly in the original Angel. This was even more pronounced when I sprayed it at the base of my throat, and it felt like I'd rubbed Vick's VaporRub on my throat. It was not a nice feeling and it lasted a couple of hours after spraying. That alone makes this perfume just okay for me. However, the sillage is insane (I sprayed this in a closed bathroom and immediately had to air it out from coughing so hard), and I got compliments from people about it. Also, I do think this scent is really nice and a lot less potent than the original Angel. But those positives can't negate that uncomfortable feeling in my throat, so I'd have to pass on this one.

spicyorange

Love this scent, bought it almost a week ago and wore it for the third time today. For the first time I’m experiencing nose blind with a perfume. Went to the salon, got compliments but I could barely smell it. I even asked, isn’t the shampoo you’re smelling? And she was like NO, IT’S YOU. I’m so sad because I really love it and bought because it’s MUGLER, you’re getting amazing sillage and longevity. Never happened before with any other perfume. I’m guessing it’s one of the notes that’s messing with my nose.

socialcoma

Initially loved this, wore it for a couple months - still do BUT the woody akigala dry down is a bit too harsh for my taste now.

vildeska

My favourite Mugler perfume until I tried Alien Goddess. Yes, I’m not a heavyweighter in the Mugler game. I love fresh and fruity perfumes, and I can’t stand the original Angel EDP even though I really want to! I’m starting to really appreciate the freshness of Angel EDT, and I keep changing my mind on which us my favourite of Angel EDT and Angel Nova (EDP). I wish the drydown of Angel Nova was a bit more creamy and less sour, but it’s still a gorgeous juicy and tart perfume!

topochico

I love this fragrance. I think Angel Nova is a brilliant addition to the Angel lineup; sexy, modern and vibrant. Angela Nova is the fun, fruity fragrance of my dreams.

Schondis

As much as I love beast mode perfumes, I feel like this one slapped me in the face. Calm down, Mugler! 💀

Sabina8019

Very sour and unrefined raspberry with oud, that shrieks in your face. Absolutely nuclear staying power, could not scrub it off even with a dish soap. Absolute no for me.

socho

This fragrance actually surprised me quite a bit and has worked its way up to one of my favourites, and I’m very tempted to invest in a full bottle. At first spray it is super fruity and juicy, slightly reminiscent of Kayali Eden Sparkling Lychee for me but a bit more tart and intense. Kind of reminds me of like a raspberry compote. It starts out girly and youthful which is what I usually go for, but then it starts to evolve and the woody notes and the base really come out and make it spicy and sexy. At first I wasn’t a fan of this but after a few wears i actually became obsessed with how it is a more mature, incense-y take on a fruity fragrance. I think it’s the perfect balance of youthful girly fruitiness and sexy spicy woodiness. Now the reviews are certainly not lying when it comes to the sillage and longevity of this fragrance. It is very strong and only needs MAX 3 sprays but I usually go for 2 even though I’m usually a 3-5 sprays person. If you don’t want other people to notice your fragrance then it’s probably not the best for you. It sticks around ALL DAY on my skin and even longer on clothes, and i feel like it does leave a bit of a trail so it’s one to wear if you want to get people asking you what you’re wearing. It will stick to your clothes for days on end so I usually avoid getting it on anything I want to wear more than once without washing (since I wear a different fragrance daily). Even after washing I sometimes swear I can still get whiffs of it. So I have to be careful with this scent but I do love how complex and unique it is and that I can use it sparingly and still get insane performance. I love this one, it’s a compliment getter and would definitely love to have a full bottle for my collection.

yanitsvet

The opening of Angel Nova smells like raspberry Fanta to me (I am not sure if such a thing exists). It has an artificial fruity sweetness and freshness. It smells very pleasant, girly and playful, but also somewhat cheap due to the artificial raspberry.

Katyaintheact

First things first, this is nothing like the OG Angel in terms of its DNA or it's longevity. It reminds me a bit of Delina Exclusif. It's a sweet, fruity, somewhat tart rose with a vanilla-like dry down. The longevity isn't great but plenty of others seem to disagree!

Maddiemayhem

I’ll start by saying this DOES NOT SMELL LIKE DELINA. not that that’s a bad thing! I enjoy this so much it’s such a refreshing tart rose with some sweets. The deep fry down is balanced with woods and I notice the raspberry more than the litchi. I’ve worn this year round and I find its nice in the summer but shines in the winter! I had a male coworker follow me near Christmas time to write down the name for his wife. He described it as “Christmas trees” lol not sure about that one but nonetheless I appreciated the compliment especially given it was in the dead of winter in a restaurant after serving all day!

Nataliemespino

This was a blind buy for me, and it’s everything I expected and more. It’s juicy, tart, and sexy. The rose is there, but it’s not overpowering. The raspberry and lychee work together so beautifully to create a girly, fruity, mouthwatering fragrance that will last FOREVER. I smell it on my wrist even after showering (which is how I want all my fragrances to be). Very safe blind buy if you love fruity scents!

dawnnyy

Starts very fruity girly pop on me then dries down alpha male oud rose big boss man. Reminds me im trans. I fw this hard

Cloverdosee

Literally everything I want and need in a perfume… insane longevity and projection (it will smell all day).. the most divine feminine fruity sweet scent that evolves in the dry down allowing for the woody notes to become more prominent.. the scent is a fruity rose delight through and through but I just loveee that woody element in the dry down.. she has duality!! and omg as someone who doesn’t fully vibe with rose.. THIS is how you do rose right.. it doesn’t smell old or outdated.. it’s modern, beautifully compliments the other notes, and is so refreshing!

Siv7Stars

Fruity amberwoody bomb that dries down into the splintery big thick pine fence posts we got from the garden centre. Rough. Not madly keen.

clown

My favourite designer fragrance! I love how sharp amd out there it is. The drydown (on me, at least) is sweet, woody and benzoin-y 😄 Also the longevity and the silage are crazy with this one. My coworker said she could smell me from down the street

Shanty36

This is a great designer dupe for delina. The opening isn't as similar with the raspberry but the dry down really reminds me a LOT of delina, just maybe a tad deeper. I also swear i smell patchouli but it doesnt seem to be in the notes so maybe that's just my nose. It smells beautiful and it's performance is BEASTLY. I got a great price on it too from a discount retailer so im super happy with this purchase. Will say though it screams night time to me rather than day (i thought it would be more casual than it is just based on the notes). It definitely smells like perfume though so not for you unless you really want your fragrance to be noticed.

lunarmymoon

A beautiful blind buy. It’s a sparking burst of fresh raspberry, lychee and rose in iced water.

NeeNee50

I had the travel size and used all of it. While I loved the scent I don’t remember getting any compliments on it. The scent can be overpowering initially so I tried not to overspray. If you spray it then immediately get in someone’s car the scent can be a bit overwhelming before the dry down. My favorite note is the raspberry. I planned to look for a refill or buy the full size but I think I will pass. As much as I love the scent it’s a lot to pay to get zero compliments and there are other scents that will give me that raspberry note I love. I am glad I tried this but don’t feel like something is missing from my collection by not replacing it.

gostodemanga

when i first tried this, it was too much. it’s definitely one of the strongest scents i’ve tried. however, after trying it again a few times, i fell in love with this scent. you just need to be careful while spraying it so it doesn’t become overbearing. i love love love a good raspberry fragrance and i feel like this is the most “me” perfume i’ve tried to this day. it’s really long lasting, i can smell this all day on myself and the projection is insane. i plan on investing in a full bottle for my birthday hehe

chezzig01

Such a Delight ! So far removed from my usual fragrances but so Fun .. I get Turkish delight all the way . The Fruit in the opening and then a beautiful sweet rose .. This is an absolute LOVE for me !!

vici1004

Love love love this one. Perfect, feminine fragrance for all occasions and seasons. Fruity and fun. Main noticeable notes are the raspberry, lichee and rose but the rose is a modern pretty one, not mature or outdated at all. I use it as an everyday fragrance but this would also be perfect for a night out or a date. Very long-lasting, strong projection. Highly recommend, especially on sale. The bottle is refillable.

pao_dc_live

A very pleasant perfume, almost like a fruity, sweet and fresh shampoo.
The lychee and raspberry are very noticeable and then when it dries you can notice the wood but without losing the sweetness and freshness of the fruit, generally very pleasant.

It doesn't leave a very big trail, but enough to enjoy bursts of perfume every time you move, the duration is very good too I have used it on a VERY hot day here in Chile and it doesn't bother me, it is quite pleasant because I can feel that cool part of the shampoo, which if it didn't have it would be very sweet and overwhelming

ava96

Unfortunately this smells like a cheap celebrity perfume to me - super generic and nothing interesting happens to the scent, at least on my skin.

EmoZombieSlayer

Nice sweet perfume that dries down to be a little more woody and floral than I would usually prefer, so I like to layer a sweet vanilla perfume over it. It is, however, a VERY strong scent, it clings around pretty much everything that you touch, and your clothes are gonna smell like this fragrance for days. I've had people smell this on me from across the hallway (!!)
So, yeah, It's gonna be a little overwhelming if you're sensitive to smells.

rozberry

I find that with most typical gourmands, they are mellow and vanilla-soaked. The common thread between Angel and Angel Nova is this bold sharpness that is more present in Nova's raspberry notes. So unbelievably gorgeous

Maya lilac

Angel Nova was launched a few years back and I never thought to try it until the end of last year but it is an instant love. I find it to be a totally delightful scent! And so feminine, fun and flirty.
Juicy and sweet, tropical and tangy, rosy, powdery and warm but with an astonishing performance! Mass appealing for sure.

I love raspberry and litchi, a warm, resinous perfume and I like rose in a fragrance. So, as expected, I adore Angel Nova. It’s such an underrated flanker that I rarely hear mentioned on social media these days but it smells divine and it’s so strong and intense.

As far as the notes go, the composition is built around the two fruits mentioned above, a jammy rose, and the base notes consists of akigalawood and benzoin. Simple and uncomplicated structure but blended so beautifully and balanced masterfully that nothing feels out of place: fruity but not overly fruity, moderately sweet, a touch of powderiness, rosy but rose done in a modern, youthful way, woody, ambery and warm without the heavy base notes overpowering the fruits and the rose.

I am so glad that I have Angel Nova in my collection because it smells divine, performs impeccable and costed me half of the price of my CH Very Good Girl bottle, that I find it to be similar, but this is on steroids.

Beautiful bottle with an unique design in a hot, raspberry pink tone. What’s not to love about Angel Nova?!?

Shukky

oh so sweet and oh so girly. i absolutely adore when a perfume smells exactly how the packaging looks! opens with the brightest fizziest lychee and raspberry surrounding a soft powdery rose at the heart. It rounds out beautifully into a feminine slightly mature powdery sweet rose that lingers about you, as the akigalawood lends some musk quality an hour or two into the drydown. the sweetness from the initial blast of raspberry and lychee doesn't let up or dissipate into thin air like other perfumes that share these notes, but they mellow out into the background ever so slightly. an absolute head turner and makes the wearer feel so youthful. 8/10 for me!

moonlight_0506

literally one of the best things i've smelled in my entire life this is the 1st "big girl" perfume i've ever bought for myself, totally worth it! it lasts for HOURS, days even. definitely heavily fruity and floral on me. the dry down is less raspberry and more litchi, rose, and benzoin. i've seen a lot of people saying that this shouldn't even be compared to angel bc they're such different scents and i definitely agree. I actually hate the original angel, so i was whole heartedly surprised how much i loved this after smelling it in ulta lol. if perfume has no fans i am dead 🫶

Thefragrancefox

I dont really like fruity or floral scents but this one. WOW. In contrast to another review, I do not the rose scent a lot which for me is nothing but perfect since I do not like rose notes in perfumes. I instead get a youthful, a bit sweet and sour fruity floral scent that is very feminine and very unique. It really fills a room!

Kuty22

She's everything really.
Amazing fragance I love it so so much. I have CH Good Girl she's nice but Nova is that girl

Gratefruit7

She is Angels little sister who is trying to be edgy, wears pink excessively, being popular and rolls her eyes when she sees a bad outfit. She is sharp and not afraid to slap you.

Smells nothing like Angel, not even a flanker of it...Disgrace to Mugler name, and ruined the Angel perfume line's aesthetic.
Bit too sharp and lack of sweetness.
Very similar vibe to Jimmy Choo Blossom, which i owned and adored back in 2015-16, when i was 22. Today its maybe bit too youthful for me at 31 and i outgrown it...but i obsessed with Mugler perfumes and it reminds me of Blossom, brings up nostalgic feelings, so it stays in my collection. I still going to use it on some spring days, when i go out and about, when I dont need to appeal for my hubby...definitely not date night perfume.
Youthful scent, without being too girly. I would recommend it under 30.
Very fresh, spring in a bottle.
Extreme sillage.
You have to like rose for this perfume, its a LOT of rose.
Overall its ok. I hate the opening, like the base and love the drydown...
Just because you are a fun of ANGEL...do not blind buy it. Like i did.

nelluzza.alali

Let's start with saying this was a blind buy. I had a feeling I smelled this before and then I remembered: the opening with a tart bite deepened by a woody tone is so similar to rose 01, that said after the initial blast the two start to drift apart.
I will leave this one to be updated on longevity and how the fragrance evolves

ataraxiuh

lovessss herrrrr!!
she's juicy, tart and fruity. Lychee and raspberry come in strong with this delicious almost sour bite, quickly followed by sweet rose that softens into a musky/woody scent that lasts about 4 hours on skin.
I am obsessed with this, it's girly and feminine, youthful without being too juvenile, sweet but not suffocating, it's interesting but not complicated, wearing it makes me feel very pretty.

DilyanaG

I’ve just received it! I love how cheerful, girly, fruity, delicious and amazing this smell is! We will see the longevity.

yelrog

I consider this part of my “signature scent”, (and I say part because I layer this one). This is by FAR the strongest, boldest, most aggressive perfume I own. It immediately hits you with a sharp astringent scent, even after one spray, and stays sharp with bitter raspberry and an almost icy rose. It settles down, but it stays very strong and very sharp. On its own it’s okay, but it’s far too powerful for me. It lasts an eternity, and it fills a room. I pair this with a vanilla body lotion and the Pink Sugar body spray. It takes the edge off and helps to reign in the sillage. I would absolutely LOVE this scent if it had more gourmand notes. As it is, I think it’s way too sharp. It needs more sugary notes to bring it back down into something more wearable. But, I think it’s unique. I hadn’t smelled anything like it before. It’ll stay in my collection.

Lovescents3

This has a bright juicy opening with the raspberry and litchi. The opening is tart and mouthwatering. The fragrance gets heavier and a lot woodier as it dries down. The contrast between the fun and flirty opening and the much more “serious” dry down is stark and to me at least makes this fragrance really interesting.

I’ve been wearing it in hot humid weather and find that it works well. In hot weather it has moderate longevity at best. It projects well for about 2 hours and is then more subtle. I think this would still work in cooler temps too.

Overall, I like this a lot as it is uplifting and fun to wear.

cacemonster

Bought this after smelling on paper, and really liking it. However when I spray on skin, it leave a very sharp note which in my nose isnt very pleasant. Probably the akigalawood, I dont know that note. It sting in my nose! It still give whiffs of nice scent, so I might enjoy it if sprayd very lightly maybe. I bought it with a tester so I can return it and keep the tester, and I think I will. I get how people like this so much, I think maybe its a chemistry thing that makes many scents go very sharp on me at times. Too bad, because I really do like the whiffs I get so im gonna use my tester to try it in different seasons, and spray different ways :) if you dont get much of the very sharp note, this is an incredible good scent! But try before buy! :)

stefani valini

The opening is very juicy, fruity. The rasberry fade away but the lichi stay throughout its duration. After 40 min, the scent become very peppery and woody. Oud is the star of the show. I can smell the perfume after a week. Definitly woody and peppery in the drydown.

rosewoodwhite

I’m not sure how I got into my head that this was reviewed as a perfect summer scent but it is so so far from it. It somehow smells like every cheap celebrity perfume I wore from 2010-2014 all at once. It’s Katy Perry Purr, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga Fame. So to me it smells very dated and also like something I outgrew a long time ago. Nothing even remotely summery to me either, at first it’s just pure raspberry and something sharp, and then the dry down is still remniscent of patchouli, I was surprised I didn’t see it in the notes but I guess that’s what akigalawood smells like too. Patchouli will never be summer to me, even if it’s drenched in raspberry at first. I wanted to love it but I just can’t wear it, it feels too young and tired all at once.

silvertealight

I smelt this in store today against the Angel Elixir and although i initially LOVED the strong lychee and raspberry notes in this, i couldn’t help but feel like it resembled a cheap bath and body works spray/fructis shampoo/body wash. I didn’t really get grown vibes from this, it was very juvenile and reminded me of something i’d wear as a teenager, not very suitable for my mid twenties. Very generic and familiar smelling, i’ve smelt this before in my teenage years, it’s not unique and there are quite a few fragrances that smell similar to this on the market now. it isn’t an unpleasant scent, but there is not much depth to this in comparison to other Mugler fragrances and the dry down was a little sickly for me. I would like this if i smelt this on somebody else, as i would just think they freshly washed their hair with shampoo/ showered with some fruity body wash but i wouldn’t guess that they’re wearing a perfume. It just smells really cheap for the price point. i could see myself getting sick of it quite quickly since it's too generic smelling... the longevity was actually pretty good as it is with all Mugler fragrances but since i didn't enjoy the dry down i couldn't really stand it after the fruity notes faded

Galaxie Girl

Wow, to me this is DOCTOR'S OFFICE in a bottle! This has *some* pleasant notes, but I simply can NOT get past the fact that it smells soo antiseptic?! There is a nose burning, eerily disinfectant type note that I can NOT get away from, and I'm surprised that nobody else seems to notice it? I've tried wearing it multiple times (in store and, my boss had a bottle) and man, I wanted to like it- but it made me feel like I was about to be sent off to some sort of institution?! The second anyone comes into my work wearing it- I can smell it straight away, and it's off putting. There is definitely something really nice, and very captivating, in the mix of notes- but, again, I can't get past the creep factor/hospital vibe.

malkotoponi

Every time I wear this I get compliments. Literally every time. The scent is like a cloud surrounding me and it naturally drawns people in. It stays on my clothes for days and same goes for sheets, beds, couches and so on. One time this guy I went out on a date with told me he could still feel the parfume in his car the next day. I love this parfume so so much!

JemmaBella

This was ok, a very generic summer scent, nothing spectacular, especially for the price.

Gemsense

I layered this with kkw baddie and it softens the musty wood note and makes the fragrance blend better with raspberry still being the star 🌟 but now it’s tolerable and way more elegant and scrumptious.

SweetEnigmaticSoul

This was the only scent I wore in spring & summer of 2021. This is a very sweet and beautiful scent!

My new signature scent is Fiori D’amore by the house of Blvgari and I messed around and layered with these two together! The scent is chef’s kiss on me! Both have raspberry & roses in it! ❤️🌹🌹

TerceraMolar

GORGEOUS! This one is the most fruity that I've tried from the Mugler house, longevity is great👍🏻
very unique and sweet, I can feel the fruity notes but I don't feel any wood.
Ahh , the comments from people on fragrantica are as always😵💫: overacted , melodramatic 😆, people saying that this has a sharp opening, I don't think so, this is a crowd pleaser, she's not hurting anyone, chill out!

¿Como una licha dulcita puede ofender tu nariz? Que alguien me explique... No se dejen guiar por cualquier comentario en esta red, la verdad se pasan con el drama.😂 Pero bueno, para gustos los olores verdad?

Longevity: 8/10
Uniqueness: 7/10
Sillage 7/10

Yessamin

Lovely sweet perfume that leaves a trail behind you. Mind you only need a couple of sprays of this so it’s quite value for money.

Aphr0disiac

This perfume gets me compliments almost everytime I wear it. It lasts all day and night and smells like a fruit cocktail. Original Angel smells old compared to this so don't even go there. This is for the younger at heart, fun and sexy people only.

zara0203

It's torture working with someone that oversprays on this, it gives me bad migraines. Wet roses on steroids!

Blackcat808

I'm mostly getting sweaty feet and sour, rancid fruit. Must be the Akigalawood (which I guess is reminiscent of patchouli) and Litchi combination. This actually reeks to me. I don't think many perfumes are truly stinky but this is one of them.

It's that damn bottle that drew me in... 😑

Edit:
Apparently, Akigalawood smells like B.O. and/or rancid to a certain percentage of the population. Most people probably won't get the B.O. smell like I did but a fraction might. Staying away from anything with Akigalawood from now on.

tanaC

Angel Nova Mugler (Store test)

Not really Delina althernative, rose in wried bubblegum accord kinda leans delina ex but not that good. 🤔

Patchouli (?) kinda merge tho ref to og Angle.
But yeah, this is not a good mix
6/10

Dry down kinda wried mix of Fruity in candy manner with rose and mild patch. Still 6/10

tamovicha

This is within the very sucessful "Delina", "Pink me Up", "Dancing queen" scent profile - very pretty, energizing, fruity, jammy, red berry, lychee rose. Might seem summery, but I think this is the perfect pick me up for the darker months of the year, and it's not out of place at all. A perfect specimen and not overpriced.

Kuty22

I love 😍 this scent.
Turns out I like it even more in cold weather

Anonomouse

Cheerful&bubbly. Uplifting and sweet. Prominent litchi with a crisp dry down. I loved it right away and got a lot of compliments too. Perfect for going out and is suitable for day or night. Is youthful without being childish. Great projection. This is the girl everyone likes and she genuinely likes everyone too. If ESFP woman personality type were a perfume, this would be it.

cats_eye

This smells like straight up fruity bug spray. I wish Mugler would release an interesting new fragrance.

spicyice

Hands down the best Angel flanker for me. I can see why many view it as a juvenile-leaning scent with its heavy burst of raspberry and lychee that reminds me of Jolly Ranchers now that I look back at it. Still, a very fun and powerful fruity scent that's great for the all-year summer vibes.

The opening was a sharp attack of red fruits which I can see why many people who prefer the OG Angel seem to hate it. After letting that sharpness dry down it's fruit city. I've had a vial for Angel OG, Angel Eau Sucrée (I honestly have no words for this one...cat piss galore to me) and Angel Eau Croisière. Angel Nova is like the younger sister to the tropical Angel Eau Croisière (could be headache-inducing if layered tgt...unless you live in a country that has no other seasons other than summer like mine).

I dabbed a little from this tester bottle (also really cute!! just wished it came with an atomizer top), went apartment hunting on a motorcycle for 4 hours straight under the scorching sun. She really came through! Through the dust, sweat, and heat she delivered that floral fruity greatness. I'm sorry to the others that are not fond of Angel Nova and it's okay to have a different opinion but she will always be my favourite pick-me-up scent.

LanaDelSlay

Extremely juvenile cheap scent wow

Pentagon

Here is my review of Angel Nova EDP and a comparison to Delina Exclusif since they have similar notes (I sprayed one on each arm and compared them side-by-side).

Nova is a very straightforward fragrance with little surprises. In the first 20 seconds of spraying, you get a blast of raspberry and litchi. It’s very tart and smells like a Jolly Rancher candy.

After a few minutes, Nova’s damask rose starts to come through along with the benzoin and akigalawood. The tart opening dissipates, and by 10-15 minutes, Nova starts to settle into a rose scent that is warmed up by its base notes. This is not a complex or unusual Mugler scent. Instead, it’s like Bath & Body Works or Victoria’s Secret wanted to come out with an affordable version of Delina and its flankers.

Delina Exclusif opens differently. To me, it immediately smells like strong candied roses. Whereas Nova starts out more tart and fruity and evolves into a rose smell after 10-15 minutes, Delina Exclusif starts out with a dominant sweet rose and evolves into something more tart after the same 10-15 minutes. By that point, Nova has become warm and rosy and more wearable, while Delina Exclusif actually starts to emerge as more tart on me.

Delina Exclusif packs way more of a punch. You get sweet roses, tart fruits, and those oud-incense-amber-vanilla-woody notes. It’s a lot, and I am in the process of selling my bottle of Delina Exclusif because it’s almost too much. Parfums de Marly needs to come out with an EDT of this (and not the la Rosee which has different notes). As a result, I find Nova to be a little more pleasant and wearable. Delina Exlusif is beautiful, but the tartness lingers a little too long with all the other notes and it verges into cloying.

By this point in the comparison, my olfactory senses are burned out, but compared to Delina Exclusif, I can barely smell Nova anymore. Nova is not a dupe for Delina Exclusif, but it gives a similar vibe if that’s what you’re after -- especially as Nova starts to dry down after an hour. Delina Exclusif has all the layers and complexity that you’d expect from a niche fragrance, but you’ll have to test it out to see if it’s right for you. After 20-30 minutes, Delina Exclusif still smells like a scent bomb on my arm, though the tart fruits are now waning into something more pleasant. But, in comparison, Nova is a more two-dimensional warm rose scent which is not necessarily a bad thing at all.

In sum, I think Nova is worth about $65 on the grey market. But it’s not a must-have. There is nothing in Nova fragrance that resembles Angel, so Mugler is simply re-using the name for marketability. I got a travel spray for $13 on Mercari, and I’m happy with that. So start there, and see if it’s worth investing in a bigger bottle.

AncientModernAncient

Took a very risky blind buy (Amazon, can't return, don't like OG Angel) on this one.

Yes, the opening is very sharp, but the most intense sharpness only lasts for a few seconds. The raspberry and litchi is very sour and thin, the kind of sourness that makes the back of your throat water - it's not artificial raspberry, but futuristic and surreal. The dry down turns very woody on me fast and it gets a little sweeter and warmer, but the way it fills your nose remains. For some reason, I don't get rose? Overall, I find Nova much more sour than sweet.

Sharp, sharp, sharp, neon pink, metallic, hyperrealistic, a hologram from a cyberpunk city. I don't know if I've ever smelled anything like this. Not edible or "pretty" but absolutely magnetic. I can't stop sniffing my arm.

I expected the projection would be more nuclear, but one spray is less intense than DKNY Be Extra Delicious on my other arm. Batch code and unique box code checks out, but it is a refillable spray. I really do hope it's legit.

Gosh, I love this thing.

SydneyGal85

The opening is fruity and the raspberry and litchi really come through, which to me feels a bit juvenile… something I would expect from a teenagers perfume or a bath bodywork’s spray and unfortunately, it got worse from there. The oud in this really came through after 20 minutes or so and it was all I could smell. For whatever reason, oud just doesn’t mix well with me…and it usually ends up smelling like BO on me (I know, gross) - this fragrance also lasted way longer than I wanted it to :( this is a thumbs down for me!!!
Additionally, it is soooo far removed from the original Angel that I don’t know why this is a flanker , it should be its own line.

AinoKaroliina

Very juicy and sweet fruity opening. Raspberry and litchi pair together seamlessly well. A clean rose note in the middle notes. The wood in the base has a patchouli-like scent.

Nothing polarizing or crazy. I have smelled similar scents a few times before.

I don't have experience with Mugler fragrances, but I know the early releases from the house have been very polarizing, so I was a bit wary of trying this one. But this fragrance is safe and inoffensive.

If you love raspberry (and patchouli) you will likely enjoy this one. On me the juicy fruitiness that was present at the beginning didn't last long, and the scent quickly turned patchouli-focused.

AnastasiaGostieva

Playful rose with traditional sweet/patchouli base and maybe some berries in the opening. I kinda love and hate it at the same time, because it smells very alluring and sexy (that I like), but also awoke some memories from the childhood - cheap artificial gummy bears flavorings kinda vibe.

projectalice345

I love the orginal angel and its earthy patchouli so i was excited to try this pink concoction boasting raspberry as a top note. It is disappointing and smells like any other perfume. No notes of raspberry come through and I am glad I just got a mini tester. Pass.

Allybabaa

it was okay.... liked the opening but quickly got sick of it as it dried down. Smelled kind of cheap and something you can buy at bath and body works. A little too fruity and sweet. Not bad though and if I smelled this on someone I would think they smelled nice.

Melkyx

nhilicious

It has a very sharp opening which can easily turn people away right off the bat. However, I feel like there is nothing more fruitier than this in my collection. It is a mixture of youth and maturity intertwined with each other, the lychee is very vibrant and dominant in a good way therefore it's still sexy and irresistible. Definitely a more cooler days perfume, the sweetness might be a bit too much for summer days.

Eau De Perfume Hunter

@cats_eye Yeah I agree it is a bug spray.............but the ORIGINAL (light blue bottle) ANGEL. Angel nova outclasses it by miles.

Hannah-xo

I've never been able to move past the peppery patchouli in Angel's opening so imagine my surprise when this was love at first sniff.

In a good way, this reads (smells) like Britney Spears' Fantasy, for grown ups on me - a fresh, tart opening with a sweet, juicy heart.

A similar gourmand nature to my nose for the both of them, admittedly Fantasy moreso, whereas Angel Nova smells more floral-fruity (as per notes). A wonderfully sweet, but not cloyingly, floral fruitiness. Lots of rose and raspberries.

The difference is in the drydown - Angel Nova, to me, has a woodier dry down compared to Fantasy's woody-musk (typical of the time it comes from). This woodier dry down does lend it a bit more of a grown up edge and rounds out the fruitness, making it equally workable for cold or warm weather.

A sexy and fun powerhouse - one spray lasts all day.

xvee

had this as a sample and wore it to work. someone actually complimented me, asking me for the name and now i'm thinking of getting the full size. smells like fruit juice but in a good way lol

Kuty22

I blind bought this one and God damn I'm in love 😍
I know I love many fragances, but I think I found my holy grail!
It's a bitter-sweet moment because there's something in the thrill of searching that's just so addictive...
This a true love 💕💕💕
My first Mugler at that 😊

Edit: got a back-up bottle because I couldn't find the refiller
Bought midnight rose from Lancôme = 😍
But this one is still my gem 💎
Also have Very Good Girl, out of the 3, my least favorite

MPirkonen

Just got this and I am very pleased with it..Is is unique, delicious and strong. I can see why it might not be for everyone, but I just love it..

grandfinnally

like every magazine perfume sample you've rubbed on your wrist in 2004: sensual, addictive, plastic, fake

Nicole f

Starts off with a nice sweet raspberry, similar to the body shops early harvest raspberry. Raspberry is the strongest note, I can't really pick up any of the others, then it goes straight to a powder scent, light raspberry powder, then settles to faint raspberry. I do see a bit of similarity to vgg, but nowhere near dupes or really even that similar. Vgg is one of my most loved fragrances and angel nova is barely a like. I was hoping for more with this fragrance, but it didn't blow me away. It's a strong fragrance for the first hour or two, but then you've got to smell your wrists really hard to pick it up. I think it's way overpriced for what it is and I won't repurchase or probably even finish the bottle I have.

foxidius_

I really wanted to love this perfume. This was my first, more expensive perfume. I'm glad, that I have finished my bottle, since it got boring. I didn't last on me, but when it did, it was refreshing and playful.

melleners

I love this! It's a bit tart off the top, but the drydown is so lovely. It smells musky, even though that note isn't listed. Sweet, sweet musk. Lovely!

Leesh

I'm starting to realize that I don't enjoy oud. It always smells like BO or old cedar chests to me. And this fragrance has it, which I assume is attributed to the akigalawood. It's the same reason I didn't like Zara's Rose Gourmand. Even though it's not listed in Rose Gourmand, I swear it has this same smell. Angel Nova starts off with a burst of bright litchi and raspberry, which I love, and that oud note in the background. In the dry down, the oud is all I smell. This perfume is POTENT. That oud smell DID NOT go away and stayed on my skin for hours, even after I showered. Maybe I should've gotten the EDT version. This is not a sophisticated perfume. It's for that loud unapologetic party girl that you can never quite get under control, and yet you admire her for it.

Soccergreat88

This is a bomb of juicy raspberry, tart litchi, and a woody, patchouli drydown
In the opening, I get the tart juicy fruits, but in the dry down, the akigaliwood really pulls through and gives it some of the original patchouli-esque DNA. This may not be for everyone but is sure great for summer

WhiteFlowerPrincess

As is often the case with the vast majority of Thierry Mugler fragrances, this really isn't my jam! It is too fruity and too woody for my personal preferences and I found it just a tad too sweet for me. Quite strong too!

I could smell the tooth-achingly sweet raspberry and litchi in this, as well as the very sweet and syrupy benzoin. The wood was too much for my senses too. I could sort of smell the rose in this, but it was unfortunately buried under the other notes and I didn't smell as much rose as I wish.

On the plus side it did last almost 9 hours on my skin and it is a feminine and not a masculine smelling fragrance. I did find it a bit juvenile smelling though and it gave me a bit of a headache.

This is why I'd give this fragrance a paltry 3.5/10. You can do better Mugler!

KatelynMLovesPerfume

I agree with everyone, this is probably the most beast mode fragrance in my collection period!! It's almost a bit too much for me and I thought I would never say that about a perfume lol. It can be screechy with the fruity rose profile so have an easy hand when using this that's the only bad thing about it. The notes hold very true for the fragrance, a smack in the face of raspberry and litchi with rose with the woody notes peaking in the dry down. The fruity rose scent profile has been done a lot, but I feel like this one takes the cake. This is not a perfume for someone who is looking for a light pretty scent lol, but you can say that about most Mugler fragrances which is why I love them. When I first smelled this at Ulta it was an instant love and couldn't get enough of it, and now I'm almost out of my first bottle. I've gotten countless compliments on this fragrance everytime I wear this. I will always have a place for Angel Nova in my collection.

ArlissLux

as an introvert i feel confident wearing this.
it's fun, bright and a little mysterious.
i can not stop smelling myself!

i was lucky enough to snag this bottle in the crystal/travel size.
it is SO stunning. i feel like a witch lol!!

igalmusic

Absolutely stunning fragrance! Not too sweet, not too fruity, just perfectly balanced. I love it! Super sexy and long lasting.

Deutsch100

I will keep this short. I am shocked, upset and angry that Loreal can make this Nova last 12-18 hours on my skin and days on clothes, but my once beloved, favourite nuclear strength Angel edP now lasts 30 mins on my skin and only a few hours on clothes. I wish Loreal would return Angel edP to once it once was. Nova is a VERY strong & long lasting raspberry woody scent. If you like it, it will last forever once sprayed!~

Spaceflowerrr

I keep falling in and out of love with this. It’s quite a strong woody raspberry scent with a touch of saltiness in the dry down which on top of the other notes can smell a bit pungent. It’s interesting and I do like it just not as an everyday scent as it can become sickly after a while.

Lilah_lilah2023

Meh. It smells like a cheap and juvenile raspberry body spray. I can't believe this is a Mugler perfume. Big no.

Dan_DeLion

Dear Nova,

I know your life is difficult. You are unfortunately underestimated my fruity raspberry Angel. You are too flashy for this world. Your pink outfit doesn't go down well everywhere but I really love it, it's made for you.
I enjoy the time with you and I am happy while you accompany me like a shadow throughout the day. I don't want to miss you BFF ❤️. You're a little too loud for other minds, but that doesn't matter to me, loud is nice.

I just wanted to tell you "I love you" - so much that I asked your 'bigger' sister to move in with us yesterday so you won't be lonely next to the other 75 bottles when I'm not there - 🥰 -

Love always DanDeLion ❤️

Ronett

Litchi syrup with some raspberry , no simmilerity with flaminco or midnight tresore

sophia <3

smells like paint.

Perfumedsecrets

The lasting power of this is unreal! I should have worn it to the Barbie movie, but chose Delina. Both good perfumes, but the fruit in this fits that more.

Beeboss

I've already reviewed this, but I can't wait to wear this perfume at the Barbie movie! It's perfect for the occasion!

MonicaLV

Smells like you have been standing near a bonfire wearing raspberry body spray. Lasts an extremely long time. I can still smell it on my clothes when I’m doing my weekly laundry. I don’t care for the woody dry down so this is a no with my body chemistry.

Flexwithviv

This and the EDT just smells super cheap. I literally feel like you're paying for the name and bottle.

fraghead15

A lovely fruity floral fragrance with projection that actually lasts. A must have fragrance for the summer; day and night! This could possibly be a sexy summer date night fragrance. Angel Nova made me realize that I loved litchi. It is a very sweet perfume but, the wood note helps it become warm and sexy on the dry down.

cats_eye

Bug spray

JenAvery

I HATE this perfume, there is a cheap screechy note in the beginning, I blind bought it because the reviews are good and I love Valentina Pink,VGG, and Delina. I have no idea what the note is that smells cheap, synthetic and gives me a headache, it stays the entire time from first spray to dry down. I had to wash it off, I tried it a few times but for me, it’s a huge no. Anyone want to trade a 100ml bottle for something else, I’m game.

Lidell

Juicy raspberry syrup with standard sweetness. A bit simple and even somewhat dated maybe, but, duh, raspberry is yummy, so be it.

cherryboy

Finally my samples arrived... there is something in this that reminds me of airports and preschools. Some kind of cleaning agent, not harsh but definitely sanitized. Yes sweet rose and litchi, a lovely combo, but that patchouli is always in the background and at moments is in the foreground. I like there are a bunch of other notes I can't put my finger on who are making this LOUD. It's not even just the projection, it's the cacophony of notes that makes this feel loud.

And in spite of everything I said, it still has something in common with Angel... it's like the neon-lights, anime version of Angel.

EDIT: A FEW HOURS LATER-

Unfortunately this got pretty old-lady on me in the dry down! My skin will bring out the musks of any fragrance, and this is too musky for me, unless I was at an extremely fancy occasion and wanted something fruity.

Still need to try Caroline Herrera VGG, I think that might be what I'm after

AmyDrew1728

Another Angel flanker that does not disappoint. A mature sweet scent that lasts. Turns heads and I’ve gotten many compliments and just a few scrunched noses. Holds up very well in the 100 degree humid Alabama weather. It’s loud and in your face so if you’re in a packed office might want to wait until after work for this one as it may run everyone out.

FBRADLEY

I love love this fragrance. It is a beast and long wearing. Its a perfect fragrance for a night out and its also holds up great in the summer heat without being cloying. This does smell similar to Lancome Midnight Rose and similar to Delina .

essenceofthescent

Well, I really disliked this for the first year of owning it, and used about half the bottle as air freshener, but ever since my scent profile started to mature, I like it! the oudy and woody notes were letting it down previously, but now I find that it makes it a sophisticated smell which is unlike any other fruity-rose drugstore perfumes on the market! I also saw a middle aged man on TikTok live saying it is his favourite perfume to smell on a woman.. so ladies (and men!) if you're looking to pull middle aged men... this is it! all jokes aside, give it time to grow on you, it is definitely more of a mature scent. wouldn't wear it during the day in summer though, its a bit too strong for that. ps, I cannot get the supposed litchi notes at all.

goldfishmemoirs

Very sweet scent, I always get compliments on it. Smells just what you would think looking at the bottle - fruity &girly. Strong too, and it can last all night. Bit strong for daytime if you're working indoors, but perfect for a shopping trip or a night out.

bununby

This was a blind buy for me, as I was looking for a super fruity summer scent. When I first smelled it I felt instant regret, and immediately posted it on FB marketplace to sell. After some thinking i deleted the listing and gave it a chance. Nope, I thought. This is awful and does not smell at all like what was listed on here. I left it on my shelf for like a month and then went back to it. Im not sure what changed but I started to really love it. Now it is one of my staples. All i get from this is lychee. Just lychee, nothing else. I think its very unique and its just what I need in my collection!

Lotte_Liese

Roses and woody notes, an improvement on Angel, but still not my cup of tea. It smells a tad too synthetic due to the fruity notes, for my liking.

MissMarco

I really love this . A lot have spoken here already in detail of how good it is. Fresh rose, woody base that seems to be wearable anywhere . It is a monster. I smell this on myself and on my clothes til the next day. Which is really really great. I do want more mugler. I have Alien and I have this and a decant of Angel Muse. Would love to sample Aura or the original Angel .

Beeboss

you know what this is?
it's the barbie perfume i got when i was a kid - but the adult version. it smells like pink!
i LOVE it. it lasts forever, it's fresh, sweet, flirty and i dare say bold in its own way.
there is no resemblance to delina - maybe only the combo of litchi and rose reminds me of that same family but they are definitely not similar.
also, nothing like angel the original, although after a few hours tangel nova's dry down brings the tiniest reminiscence of angel dna. maybe its the akigalawood?
in my opinion its not a safe blind buy. to me, maybe. because i love sweet, i love fruity, i love rose. couldn't go wrong. but maybe for others this might feel "too pink" or "too young".

herculano

Halfway through my first bottle, and i bought my second bottle!

SHOWSTOPPER.

My 2nd most passionately complimented fragrance, next to my top favorite, MBB.

Those who can’t understand what they are smelling won’t like this. I used to be one of them! I wasn’t a big fan of this perfume but I bought it anyway because it was bright, fruity, strong and long lasting, and the last two things are getting to be VERY rare these days. When I find long lasting powerful new releases i am always tempted to buy them even if I don’t love the scent. But I knew this would be at the very least a crowd pleaser, even if I didn’t totally love it.

Money well spent.

After wearing it a few times I became enthralled with it.

This is massively misunderstood in my opinion.

Like Angel Muse, Nova grew on me (which is somewhat uncanny because the two perfumes are completely different. They bear no relationship to each other except in name)

I believe the noses behind this knew exactly what they were doing, and I don’t believe the thought, artistry and the time they took to do justice to Mugler is getting the credit it deserves.

I think a lot of love for Mugler went into this creation.

This is a really beautiful fragrance. Almost a masterpiece, maybe.

But certainly not a cheap thrill.

If you believe this is cheap smelling you are misunderstanding it, in my strong opinion.

You could say that the Escada like fruity top is hiding something far more than meets the eye (or rather, nose) underneath it.

But hey… I don’t mind that so many are put off by this, in fact… it’s “more for me” in a sense, but I honestly feel sad for people who are passing up such a well made and stunning fragrance.

Long lasting, bright, deep, much more complex than it is being given credit for, and a crowd pleaser.

This is a fiery and passionate fragrance.
Powerful raspberry (I don’t find it very sweet, actually. To me this is more tart than sweet) rose, and the strong and kinda strange smelling wood that has a (slight) patchouli vibe but is not patchouli.

It’s a very interesting, dry, powerfully woody base.
Somewhat dark and deep.

Some say best in summer. Some say best in winter.

I actually found my love for it in the dead of winter. The wood in this is VERY warm. Like a passionate sexy kiss in front of a warm fire in the dead of winter.

I wasn’t as impressed with it in the summer.

But in my opinion it can be a year round fragrance, because it is both refreshing …and… HOT.

The bright fruits bring to mind summer. The wood is a piping hot, smoldering, fireplace.

Anyway, I can’t get enough of it.

Candypopinlove

This was my first major designer fragrance, and will probably be the last time I ever get it. I like the scent, but it's just not for me. I find it headache inducing and majorly synthetic! I keep it as my summer scent, but secretly hope it somehow evaporates into thin air so that I don't have to feel obliged to wear it. At least the bottle is cute, decorates my room quite nicely.

sarahlage

Definitely my guilty pleasure scent! I don't like the CURRENT original Angel (thanks L'Oreal!) but this.... this is everything! Perfectly executed fruity fragrance– it's playful yet sexy and you can smell it from a mile away, plus it lasts forever! Love, love, love!

Kalimi

Angel Nova is jus a bomb of a perfume. I don't get the similarities to Delina. However, I find it lasts and lasts ..lovely scent. Mugler perfumes--you can never go wrong with them

kisamisa

probably my favorite fragrance of all time. a beautiful tart raspberry + rose scent, with some akigalawood and benzoin that provide a deeper base. has beast-mode longevity and projection, and feels like the perfect balance between a girly and mature floral scent. i have a strong suspicion this is getting discontinued because of the angel elixir being released, and it's not in stock in any major retailers here in the western part of the US, so i'm trying not to get too attached. i don't find this fragrance particularly sweet, so it's strange to see some people here stating that they find it nauseating.

pinkbows

I absolutely love this perfume! It is my favourite ever <3 It smells super sweet and lasts forever. I always get compliments when I wear this perfume. I wear this all year round, day and night because it is that good. Some say it smells like a cheap sweet perfume, but I think that is the charm of it. I love super sweet Victoria's Secret-esque body mists, but they only last for 10 minutes. When I wear Angel Nova by Mugler I still smell it days after.

dazzlingpepper

Mmm, yum yum! I am KILLING this one today, wow! Is this the same Nova that was just so so on me a few months ago? Indeed, it is! She is lovely now that the winter blues are behind us. I can't stop smelling myself! Ooh la la, I smell sweet and flirty. This little gem shines in warmer weather, she is happy and outgoing! Nova isn't complex, no no, and there is nothing mysterious or deep about this juice, she's just sweet and fun.

Moonshine_Strawberries

I was pretty surprised to see mostly strong praise for this fragrance. I enjoy having the paper test strip on my desk while I work, but I definitely wouldn’t wear it. This pleasant, sweet, very artificial raspberry scent is very suitable for middle school through early high school and that’s it. Tresor midnight Rose is borderline too youthful but pulls the raspberry note off just decently enough because it’s balanced fairly well with the rose.

If you love this, you should also try midnight rose as well as Juliette Has a Gun Lipstick Fever.

meama

the most banal thing i've smell during my last tour in a perfume corner, the same childish (or bland now after so many same things) opening of fruity notes "directly out of the can" covered in syrup.
The main difference is that the sugar is a bit less calorique and the patchouli in the base is the more transparent modern one.
Could have been a flanker create 20 years ago, a little too early to already go retro

Peaches&Cream

Finally gotten the chance to wear this out and I can say that this is a love for me. It is fruity, floral, musky and not too sweet. I love the fact that it lasts more than 8+ hours!!! I still smelled it on skin and clothes. It is girly and sexy at the same time. The lychee brings out the sweetness on me and I’m combination of the raspberry and damask rose , the woody note comes in & out making it less sweet.

Thranduil

A well crafted raspberry perfume that I loved to wear till my nose grew sick of its akigalawood note.

A good perfume for people who love overly sweet pink themed fragrances.

It is a strong fragrance so do test it out even if the want to blind buy it tempts you.

Sarahlen

This one got me. I had to have it. It was like a Victoria’s Secret fruity body spray (which sorry they are good! better than 90% of mainstream drag)but an actual EDP. I hadn’t been into fruity scents in a min my last was I’imperitace from D&G. This is so far away from the original angels light but oh well. As time wore on I’m not sure what changed but it lost its lustre and I ended up selling the half full bottle. The scent didn’t change I just got bored of it very easily which tracks. It’s simple and sweet. If you loved all the classic Escada scents, you will love this

Gemsense

This perfume did a complete 180 on me! In the cold weather, when I initially bought it, the wood was so gross and strong it was vomit inducing -- seriously. Well the weather has warmed up to 80 degrees, so summer 🌞🏝️ 🌡️. This meshes with my chemistry so well! Way better than VGG does! And this one is made for the heat, where as VGG turns into fried bread in summer heat and too sharp in cold spring. I put this on and let it melt into my skin and suddenly these sweet juicy succulent wafts of rose and lychee are seducing my senses 💗 it's gorgeous! Up close it's still a tad too intense with that wood but it's not longer making me sick, the bubble of this is what's beautiful. The wood may turn down some more as heat and humidity come out, we'll see. I'm just happy this finally works for me! So don't give up until you've tried it 8n the heat! And you may need to wait a year for it to acclimate so don't get rid of it until you've given it a good honest chance.
I forgot to add that this is strong raspberry! Like wet fresh crushed raspberries with that tang! Fruitylicious!💗

Radi3

If Barbie had a scent i think it would be that fragrance

brightsun2205

It smells like a raspberry and litchi cocktail.
It’s like chilling in a bar and having brunch and coffee alone and with friends at the trendy cafe.

It’s wearable all year round, especially in Australia.

Nice scent, however, I need to go light on this one because it's a raspberry and lychee bomb.

EV77

Purchased a sample of this. I loved it right off the bat with that BOOM sour berry, lichi burst...I just don't love how strong the woody undertone is...the Original angel has it too but somehow feels more balanced in that one. After an hour, I just spelled like straight up cedar closet...and strong cedar closet,no more fruit or rose to be found....I'll pass on purchasing this one

Laralaritaaa

Oops I had to delete my review because as I finished my sample I had to get a full bottle. I got addicted to this fragrance, and honestly, I wasn't falling for a new fragrance in a long time.
I know this isn't the most original, extravagant or life changing creation in perfumery but this is so fun, young, girly, a bit sexy and trendy while being sooo Mugler coded.
I don't know why people keep downgrading this release when Mugler did "safe" scents multiple times.
Anyways, the opening is amazing! I don't get much litchi but I'm convinced this is the most intoxicating raspberry opening I've smelled. So juicy, and sour aswell. Very bright. It gets darker and darker as the hours go by with the spicy rose and oud accords. This is simple but in the most mugler kind of way.
This is a rather spring/summer scent but my country's weather is warmer so I can pass wearing it all year round.
Longevity and sillage are insanely good. Two sprays and clothing be smelling for dayssss.

To be brief: I'm convinced some of you just hate fun.

Jade-Ange D

Strong Raspberry and Litchi girly EDP.
It is really feminine and high in colors. I don't think it is suitable for teens though, it is really childhood reminiscent, but it may be to strong and mature for a teenager girl. I think once you're used to Mugler's intense and strong scents, you can wear it. It smells so sugary but yet intense with the Akigalawood and Benzoin, and a subtle Damask Rose for a slight floral facet.

I like it but it can be heady and cause migraines if you're wearing this fragrance during a hot season, week or day. Can maybe cause nausea to the people around you if oversprayed... 6/10 :/

moonsunstars

I went clubbing last night, and this was my fragrance of the evening. After seven hours of dancing (my clothes were drenched in sweat by this point lol), I was told that I smelled really good by a kind individual. There's a reason why this is one of my favorite fragrances. While it may be quite a departure from the original Angel (another love of mine), I can't get enough of this Jammy Rose / Raspberry and Litchi potion. Not only that, this perfume is beast mode! Lasts on skin for hours, and I've noticed it lasts on my clothes for days.

mothtoaflame___

It pulls borderline from bright to dark - many contradictions here, since it’s so fizzy, but the akigalawood accord which is reminiscent of oud a bit, turns it into a scent of an evil fairy selling you cocaine in the middle of an enchanted forest. Versace’s Bright Crystal Absolu is the counterpart of Angel Nova, in my opinion. Quite sharp and hight-pitched, yet: enjoyable, easygoing, but more interesting than most aquatic summer florals. Works good in the heat.

Alyssa2912

What the hell was that. I have a feeling that this is how I used to smell in high school during PE classes because this fragrance is basically a battle of something sweat-smelling and something that reminds me of a very cheap girly deodorant (I guess it’s supposed to be a raspberry but it’s super artificial). This fragrance is definitely more spicy than it claims to be. I mostly like spicy notes (especially in fragrances for men) but this is not the first time they remind me of some kind of unpleasant body odor :(

Cons: smells like sweat trapped in polyester masked by a cheap fruity spray
Pros: I hate to admit that it’s energic in a really weird way and kind of original to be honest

Edit: People compare this to Delina??? What? Maybe in theory (something fruity and sweet + something sexy, spicy and oriental). But Delina’s fruity-rosy tones are much more sophisticated and the oriental undertones are much more seductive and not sweaty at all. Everything is well-balanced in Delina. Delina is also a provocative and loud perfume but the beauty of it is that it doesn’t smell cheap and that it has so many dimensions. Delina tries to seduce you in an expensive dress that sometimes “accidentally” reveals a lacy bra or thigh high stockings while slowly sipping on her Prosecco. Angel Nova just comes to you at the bar in her neon pink “clubbing-in-2009” minidress, announces that she had no father figure while growing up and tells you that you can do whatever you want with her if you buy her the whole bottle of raspberry vodka.

b.a.denney

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas because she wanted it. She recently moved back in with me while she's finishing up her Masters degree, allowing me to try it out. At first I thought I really liked it, and it does have great longevity. It wears a long time on her and on me. Today, the second full day of wearing it, I've decided that this scent just isn't "me".

There is a sourness, likely due to the litchi, and I just struggle with that. I think if this was sweeter I'd appreciate it a lot more. I like the raspberry note and the rose seems more of a fresh rose. I'd suggest wearing this a full day before you get a bottle. I thought I liked it on initial spray.

jessica_chinos

I felt drunk with desire with this scent. It is the most intoxicating bozzy scent, it drives me crazy. It's addictive, feminine, alluring and sinful. I feel I shouldn't like this, but I just do, it hypnotizes me. This smells so delicious, that you feel you want to eat it so you just get that desire lingering, giving way to a certain euphoria. No other scent has made me feel this way, it's like it has a spell. To me, this scent has a peppery note that is not listed, and it lingers till the end.

The downside for me is that this scent smells faint to me, I have to dive my nose into my wrist to smell it. It lasts more on the blotter that on my skin. It has a sillage though. I also think it's kinda expensive, it's an intoxicating scent, but also a little shampoo-y, I think it's overpriced. I'll buy a 10 ml decant.

I thought I was an Alien girl, but after trying this and Angel Muse I'm thinking I'm an angel gal.

BubbleTea^2

The silage is good, and the longevity is equally as good. Unfortunately, I could not detect the litchi much, but I did get some raspberry with some heavy rose. After an hour or two, the Akigalawood (patchouli and pepper) note comes in and makes the scent smell mature. Overall, I think it's a good scent, and I'll definitely use up the rest of my sample. However, I won't be buying a full bottle.

I don't think this is comparable to Delina, nor does it remind me of Delina. Delina is litchi forward and works well with the rose compared to Angel Nova. Delina is also a bit fresher/green compared to Angel Nova, which is a bit heavier in its initial hours.

Malinkabby

loved loved the opening and then disliked the drydown. It was too reminiscent of the Hollister body sprays i had as a child just in a perfume version. Too juvenile

nzascentz

comparable to a sour patch kid, first it’s sour then it’s tropical fruit punch sweet. raspberry being the top note immediately hits you in the face, somewhat similar to 100% natural cranberry juice. later on, it settles down to the rose note & blends with the skin’s chemistry. i’ve always been a mugler fragrance fan :).

10/10

omakase, butterfly garden, cheering fans, tokyo nightlife, best of the best, superstar

anggmndza

The lychee note really comes through for me, which made me fall in looooove. Perfect scent for the spring/summer season. Will definitely buy soon and will come back with an update

Peachyportia

If you grew up in New Zealand, you'll know the smell.. It smells like raro drink powder. It's not a bad smell at all! It transported me back to being a kid. It's a youthful scent to me personally. Super fruity and fun. Sweet lovers would be able to blind buy this for sure!

Ysteb

From the description I expected more freshness but the rose is very strong, I definitely see this as a little sister to Delina. Safe for a blind buy if you like berry and rose, very feminine, I don’t get much wood at all in the dry down, just more fruit and rose.

katie02kat

If you want to get a lot of compliments throughout the day, then definitely try this perfume.. Amazing sillage, beautiful aroma. For me, spring is associated with colorful summer days, I love it very much. It is an integral part of my collection

Atomikbomb_

I'm leaving my bias out of this, I promise. With Angel flankers I don't even consider them true flankers whatsoever, because they usually bear no resemblance to the original. Nova is just it's own thing, and you can safely drop "Angel" from it's namesake.

Anyway, this is incredibly bombastic, linear and loud. I can see why people liken it to Very Good Girl, but I think VGG is a little...prettier. This fragrance definitely slaps, but I'd need to be in a very particular mood to wear this. VGG incorporates a lovely vanilla, and the rose is more noticeable. I hate to say this, but I like Delina more too, and this is akin to it, but less balanced. Delina has more florals, and more dimension.

This might've been something that feels more like Mugler if there weren't already so many raspberry fragrances on the market. And what's with litchi (lychee?) lately?! For such a rare fruit, it's certainly having it's moment. The fruits in here are turned up to volume 10, I think it's almost too much (I can't believe I'm saying that, I like some loud stuff, but I'm not really into fruits that scream as much as this apparently) they drown everything else out, and it smells like tart candy heated up on a stove so it emanates like crazy.

It was like they were going for a Mugler-esque release here in terms of shock value, intensity and performance, but raspberry/litchi/rose things already exist...so it kind of flopped. Sometimes loud is great, but there's nothing necessary alluring or sensual here either.

That being said, I like raspberry and it's one of my favorite fruits, so it's strangely compelling to me.

Meh. I feel weird about this one.

Munnaparfum

Nunca me han elogiado tanto una fragancia! Es exquisito, o al menos en mi piel. Gran fijación, muy buena estela pero no agobiante. Me encanta!!

clairescentience

Smokey woody sour raspberry on a paper test. I wouldn't wear it on its own but it shows potential when layered with something so that it smells more complex and less harsh and one note.

Sigh... Maybe I should stop believing reviews. The "faves" are bombing for me. Not a huge fan of this one -- because of how aggressive it is. I imagine this would fare better if the aggression was contrasted with something powdery, light, and angelic -- just to give it dimension. I wonder what a nice layering scent would be for this one!

ChocoLei

Meh… When it comes to the Delina DNA, I feel like you really can’t beat the original. Otherwise and if looking in the designer realm, Carolina Herrera’s Very Good Girl is prettier and less screechy. It's actually funny because Quentin Bisch worked on both fragrances (and let's be honest, they were made to ride on the Delina wave).

I usually love Mugler’s creations but this Angel Nova feels very dull to my nose. It’s a sour, woody fruity-rose but the woody notes lacks depth. I’ve read that Akigalawood was a synthetic accord created out of patchouli so maybe that’s the reason why it doesn’t feel as deep and complex as woody accords based on essential oils? I’m not 100% sure about that though. The fruits feel unauthentic and lack juiciness too.

Overall, I just can't see the appeal in this one. I don't mind trying it again later, though.

Edit 03/22/23: Tried it again and I still feel quite underwhelmed, even when leaving the relation with Angel and Mugler aside. The woody notes actually play quite nice and the fruity opening is very bright, but I think my problem resides in the heart of the perfume. As bright and nicely tart the opening is, nothing much happens within the fruits+flowers interaction. No juiciness, no sensation of any texture in the flowers note--- nothing feels dewy or velvety or creamy... This fragrance just doesn't play with your mind.

Yes it does smell good, it will certainly get you compliments but if you're looking for a surprising or unique scent, this ain't it. It is quite flat. Nice but flat.

curlatte

I was looking for a perfect raspberry but this scent simply makes me sick. It is a big NO for me. Just want to wash it away as soon as I spray it.

kbraun

Amazing designer perfume! If you order from MUGLER website you get 20% off first time buyers and they have a refill. So cute flirty sexy scent two sprays lasts all day projects well - safe blind but.The rose oud combo is really sexy and nice for spring/summer

searching for signature

A bit generic but a pretty fruity floral.

sweetlikecandie

˯˯˯˯˯˯ apparently this is discontinued so i will have to stay with vgg which sucks. but oh well, they are similar enough !

sweetlikecandie

bought a sample of this after i purchased a 50ml bottle of very good girl and will say they are VERY similar, both being litchi forward fragrances, but i was upset i got to the good girl first rather than this one simply due to the fact this one is a BEAST! longevity and silage wise - this puts vgg in a grave NINE feet under!!! i dont get a ton of that oudy wood, it is mainly that sparkling fizzy sweet/powdery-ish but i think that note is helping push the fruity florals aspects out & making them that much more intense. if you already have vgg i wouldnt pick this up, but if youve ran out and want to pick up another bottle or ur simply looking at buying vgg (or this) for the first time, id definitely definitely DEFINITELY go for this one. I *think* it is slightly more expensive, but totally worth it. I dont/didnt initially intend to repurchase vgg, but if i change my mind ill definitely go for this over that one.

Mammajamma

I love Angel, and I was actually excited for a big raspberry rose bomb! I have no problems wearing the OG, the Comet edt, Sucree, etc. I don’t understand all the reviews saying she’s girly and a good gift or safe blind-buy. I love raspberry and rose! I have worn it a few times and all I smell is an absolute WALL of heavy Oud. It doesn’t smell peppery or patchouli to me at all :( it smells like wood wrapped in tar and I wish it didn’t. I kinda wish it was thick and bombastic but with real patchouli. I WANT TO LOVE IT so bad but the weird tar smell gives me a stomachache. I don’t see that mentioned too much so maybe I just can’t wear the akingala wood note.

strawberryyy

is it confirmed it will be discontinued??? im going to be extremely sad about it if thats really true 😭

shoujomarina

safe buy if you like the notes. definitely smelled this scent profile before - loud raspberry rose. extremely long lasting and great sillage. will think ab this one

nikkiszabs

This is such an amazing fruity floral perfume, and definitely draws compliments! It seriously has beast mode projection. It stays on skin for hrs and clothes for days! It's great alone,
but I just randomly decided to layer it with Dior Hypnotic Poisin edt to add some vanilla sweetness and the combo is giving me DELICIOUS chocolate raspberry dessert vibes.

lmnsvgz

The safest blind buy you can make. Sweet raspberry. Very girly and likeable.

SLY xoxo

For ppl who loves super fruity scents dont wait no more Go for it

It was a gift actually but to me its over fruity, kinda smells synthetic and cheap
Its the same thing as Flowerparty from Yves rocher, identical scent
A Big No for me

Mugler Angel Nova Edp:

🗣Personally I DID'NT Think For One Minute That I Would Actually Ever Buy/Own, Nor Let Alone Actually Grow To Really Love This Beautiful, Kind Of Tropical Rasphberry/Fresh Rose Fragrance The Way I Now Actually Do!! As I Definitely Do NOT Like Fruity/Overly Sweet Perfumes, Nor Those That Contain Litchi As An Ingredient!! As Most Fragrances That Contain It Really Smell Sickeningly Off On My Skin, And Really Turn Me!! Yet I Find This Fragrance Absolutely "ENCHANTING" And Love How It Smells And Performs On My Skin!! The Opening Is Indeed A Fresh Blast Of Juicy Sun Ripened Raspberries, Followed By Creamy Damask Rose (Around 20-25 Mins Later) Thankfully I CAN'T Detect, Nor Does It Poke Through The Fragrance That Dreaded Awful Litchi Note At All!! Then As It Starts To Dry Down/Settle This Is When The Akigalawood And Benzoin Start To Mingle With The Beautiful Creamy Damask Rose Note, And The Fragrances Freshness, Warmth And Spiciness Really Burst Open On The Skin, And Then Starts To Comes To Life!! It Also Wear's Outstandingly Well On My Skin At Around 23+ Hour's, (Best Wore In Cold Weather) This Really Draws Peoples Full Attention, And Gives Off Positive Compliments!! And The Way That It's Gorgeous Heavy Glass Rasphberry Pink Coloured Angel Star Bottle Can Now Stand Up On It's Own, Is A Real Step Forward In The Right Direction!! Hopefully Angel Nova Will Be A Great Success For Mugler Under The Ľoreal Group Ownership!! I Give It 10/10 ❤❤❤ And Again I'm Still Shocked That It's Such A Real Winner With Me!! I Freaking LOVE"LOVE"LOVE IT!!!!! ❤

sai_98

This is the fragrance that made me interested in perfumery as a hobby when it first came out, so smelling it brings back many good memories. It's the first perfume I fell in love with and it was my signature for a while, but 10 ml in and I started low-key hating it. I guess some notes just don't seem to agree with my nose when I smell them too often. I think it's the combination of akigalawood and the lychee? It took 2 years for me to enjoy it again, but I have to be careful to not wear it too often and only in cold/cool weather, where the offending notes feel powerful and sexy instead of pungent and heavy, which is why this is just a “like” and not a “love” for me.

That aside, Angel Nova’s opening is a very synthetic kind of fruity, I get mostly raspberry and jammy rose with a bit of litchi. After it settles, the akigalawood comes out and this fragrance becomes a lot more grown-up than the initial spray might suggest. The fruitiness is still here, but it’s joined by warm, peppery woodiness, and a discreet vanilla note from the benzoin. Angel Nova is linear and very long lasting in my experience, so if you like the way it smells after 20 minutes, don’t worry because you can expect the same smell on your clothes the next day.

Keep in mind that like many (all?) Mugler perfumes, it has a strong synthetic quality and if you don’t like those sorts of notes, this perfume probably isn’t for you, which is why I don’t consider this a safe blind-buy.

Unlike many reviewers before me, I believe Angel Nova is quite obnoxious in warm weather, and something about smelling it all day when it's hot out is very annoying and headache-inducing (I don't mind someone else wearing it though, unless they stay near me for more than 10 minutes). I also fear that I might be bothering other people while wearing it because the sillage (which is already pretty strong to begin with) seems amplified with higher temperatures. I’m not joking when I say it goes beast mode. If that's your thing, you can disregard what I said, but having a whole room being able to smell me makes me feel self-conscious.

In my opinion it shines during the cold months, where it seems to brighten up the atmosphere in such an intriguing way. Think of hot pink neon signs illuminating a futuristic city at nighttime. It’s how I’d expect a badass young woman living in a cyberpunk world to smell like, it’s simply gorgeous.

Andy224

YUCK! Smells like nail polish!
Only thing I like about it is the bottle. Do NOT blind buy this !!!!

In late spring and early summer, this is such an easy go-to for me. Compared to most of what is on the market that is not just a plain ol' white floral, she's a bit of a beast. Compared to when the OG Angel was new, Nova uses an assertive inside voice whereas her mother or auntie just yelled the whole time. So while she isn't as boisterous as Mugler fragrances of old, she still fills up a room without being super distasteful about it. As so many others have said, the opening is a blast of bright, tangy fruit that settles down to sweet, woody, spicy-dirty rose. I think that the base here with its patchouli-esque vibe keeps the whole thing from being immature. There is a cliche at work here, but the cliche is being subverted. This fragrance is art, and I know a lot of haters won't believe that.

Upon the first spray, it smelled heavily of Sun-Ripened Raspberry by BBW to me. I do not get any litchi whatsoever. After a few minutes, the rose is very strong and the raspberry goes away completely. The dry down is pure rose to me as the Akigalawood & Benzoin are not present. If you like rose, then I believe you'll like this; however, if you're looking for a raspberry scent, look elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this, as I saw it described as "decadent" in a review. Unfortunately it smells like dish soap or some sort of strong cleaning fluid on me. I can't smell the rose at all, and there's some very strong, sharp note that makes it almost unbearable for me. It's also so sweet and artificial smelling it gave me a headache. Such a shame as the bottle is beautiful and I love the name. On the plus side, it did last forever on my wrist, so if you love it that's definitely a good thing.

The star of the show literally! I feel like this is divine in every way, be it in smell or in bottle.

This crystal star can be the star of your fragrances if you are more into sweeter fragrances. The berry and rose overall makes it very dreamy yet very candy kind. Its long lasting so worth buying.

Very sweet and fruity, so sweet it almost becomes nauseating and your teeth hurt. Also very strong. Very plain fresh fruit scent. Almost childish.

Extremely strong fruity woody scent. The raspberry and akigala? wood mesh well together and are balanced by a sweet jammy rose. I’m not sure what litchi smells like but I’m assuming it’s the sort of sour, piercing note that is strong in the beginning and fades into a generic “fruit” smell after a couple hours. I love the simplicity of the notes and the general “pink” theme. It’s definitely a strong one. I sprayed this on a sweatshirt, it sat in the hamper for a few days before being washed and after that I could still smell it. Sprayed it on my hand, washed my hands several times with soap and was still getting whiffs. Can be syrupy but not in a bad way, to me at least, and very girly.

Intense, long lasting sweet and spicy berries! Love it for a night out and main character vibes. Very (or should I say berry hehe) scandalous!! I do not get the cheap/artificial smell.

annema

I had hopes but this smells very artificial. It reminds me the Escada fruity scents I used to wear as a young college student. Not that this is bad but I was expecting more from Mugler. It's more mainstream and conventional than the others Angel Eau Croisière. I wish they could release again the Eau Croisière mango flanker instead of creating new ones... They haven't release anything I really love since Aura sadly. It's a fruity-juicy sour scent. Does not last. After 2 hours I could not smell anything on me. Must be great for heatwaves during Summer though. You'll smell like a fruity drink. I'll pass on that one.

okay so another review. i low-key started to dislike this after a while and i wasn’t sure why. i’ve just realised it’s because it only really smells good in warm/hot temperatures (after i took a steamy shower it smelled gorgeous). however, in the UK it’s nowhere near warm at the moment so i’m keeping it for when it is 🥲

Stellabear

I have been wearing Angel Nova off and on since it was released. I like it but don't love it - There is something a little sharp and medicinal that I don't enjoy - I think maybe the EDT would be better for me. The bottle is my favorite in my collection so I don't think I will ever give it up.

Elinj89

I really wanted to like this, since I love the original. But sadly this one didn't. I think it's the litchi note that doesn't work with my skin. My friend tried it as well and it smells amazing on her.

The longevity is amazing... To my horror :D Great thing if this perfume work for you!

I am SO GLAD I bought this perfume last year even though I didn’t really love it at the time.

I bought it because I was impressed with the lasting power, which is becoming a rare quality these days.
The scent itself I thought was “okay” but it’s an obvious a crowd pleaser.

But now I am blown away at the beauty of this.
I wore it out last night in cold weather and this perfume was STUNNING. Drop dead gorgeous. Not cheap smelling AT ALL. FAR FROM IT.
It smells expensive and niche!

Buying a backup. I am a full on believer now.

They did a fabulous job on this one.

In the air it is just phenomenal. The wood here smells almost like biscuits in the air. Up close it smells woods. So you get this tart energizing berry rose jam with a gourmand base. It’s potent and deeply enchanting. It smells gorgeous in the silage. Even up close, it’s totally gorgeous, but I had to get used to it. The woodiness was off putting to me. It’s so strong and pungent and quite different from most perfumes, so I wasn’t able to really understand the beauty when I first tested it. Now, boy do I ever.

Addicted.

Everyone loved this last night.
People swooned.
No. This is not cheap smelling. I promise you.

It’s all in the silage. Once you “get it” you will see this perfume totally differently. It’s a gem. Not commonplace.

Freakin LOVE THIS.

Showard3

This either smells like raspberry scented bug spray or a fluffy pink cloud, unfortunately there is no in between. I find I get something nice on clothes on a cold day. Other than that, it’s giving Off! in a pink bottle.

cocodust

I got this as a tester. There was an initial green note that I wasn’t keen on maybe it was the litchi which for me jarred with the sweeter Woody notes behind. In the dry down there was a deodorant/men’s note maybe the amígdala wood?. Not for me and nothing like good girl imo which I love

sweetlikecandie

Got this and it’s very very similar to very good girl, but there’s something that reminds me of a Britney fragrances. It’s like if you wore vgg and then add a spray of fantasy by Britney on top. It’s very good but i probz won’t but a full bottle since I have a bottle of vgg. I will say the silage and projection on this is much much better than vgg tho
