Very prominent fig upon first spray that dissipates, but still lingers, as the fragrance dies down. I've seen a lot of reviews that mention a mango note (which is not in the perfume), and I think they're referring to the fig, which smells exactly like a fig perfume that I had from Henri Bendel in the 90s.

The fragrance starts with a slight tropical air freshener vibe that's a bit off-putting, but it goes away soon enough, and you're left with a nice fig scent for 1-2 hours. However, I wish that scent stuck around longer because by the time we get to the 2-3 hour mark, the fragrance is already fading fast. Performance ends up being weak-moderate despite the strong start.

I think the stunning bottle helps to give this fragrance better reviews than it probably deserves -- I know because that's why I bought it! LOL

Note, this doesn't smell anything like the original Angel (unlike Angel Muse where you can tell that they share the same DNA). So I'd only recommend this if you want a fig perfume (or if you want the bottle)!

AllyMage

Absolutely obsessed. I'm on my second bottle of this. I almost didn't repurchase because I have Iced Star and they are pretty similar but I was really missing that fig. I got a great deal on a new bottle from mercari that I'll be savoring since it's been discontinued 😭

Zethre

Good sweet vanilla and fig, cooked or dried sticky figs, not green ones. Very nice.
For those of you trying to find a bottle, it is remarkably similar to Memo Tamarindo (which is available as a dupe from Dua)

saramoor2000

The dry down reminds me of CK one and now I can’t unsmell it.

LulaValentine

I looooove her! She’s very similar to Iced Star and I’m happy about that because I can’t find Iced Star at a price I can afford. This smells like Ocean Water from Sonic (if you don’t know, it’s a blue carbonated drink with Sprite soda and a blue syrup added that has coconut in it. It’s really good!).

I’m so glad I have this in my collection. The star is so beautiful too! I’m looking for stands to put my Angel Stars on so they can really shine!

aflakes

When I first smelled this, I was a bit thrown off because the opening and middle notes were very syrupy. However, once the fragrance dried down, I was like "Oh okay I'm here for this!" This fragrance is very difficult to find, so I was very fortunate to have located it in a local perfume store. I immediately bought a bottle and got the last one!!! When I sprayed it on my skin again after purchasing, I didn't get much of the syrupiness so now I'm even more in love! Only down fall is that this fragrance only lasts about 4 hours. I'm still happy to have it in my collection though. 🙂

silverlocusts

I like this a lot on its own during the summer months, but lately I have really enjoyed layering it with Paco Rabanne’s Fame. They’re both delicious on their own but Angel brings the robot to a new level while the robot makes the Angel use her inside voice. 2 spritzes of each and I’m good for the whole day.

When it comes to Mugler, Patchouli, and blind buying — I get very nervous. I did blind buy this and yes I was very nervous because I was afraid I would be committing to a 1.7 oz bottle of a patchouli bomb. (ptsd of me blind buying Angel here 😂)

This fragrance surprised me. It’s such a fruity but woody scent that is very sexy.
Currently wearing this in 90 degree weather and it’s not cloying, syrupy or anything bad. Wonder how it will smell on me in colder temps? 🤔
I get more of a woody note with my body chemistry.

This isn’t a very strong hitter like Angel, where people can smell you from miles away 😂 this is very tame when it comes to Sillage. It’s moderate on me.
So far, longevity is 2 hours and it’s light on skin. Which, necessarily not a bad thing to me.

I can see this being a date night fragrance for some but to be honest, this beautiful scent has no rules, I believe you can wear this anytime or any season.

All in all, this was a successful blind buy and I’m so glad I was able to experience such an indulgent scent!

gourmandgirly3

fresh fruity tropical summer scent with creamy sweet coconutty fig<3 really long lasting too

Trishalalalala

Smells like fresh, raw, and green mangoes.
Flirty, young and summer smell.

jessica_chinos

I got this perfume on Fragrancenet.com, I think one of the last ones, since I can't find it there anymore. Or anywhere, for that matter. It was a blind buy in a sense, I tried Eau Croisière, the original one, and hoped to God this one smelled similar... and it did! I do not like fig, so I was really risking it. Thankfully, today I bathed myself on this perfume to go watch The Little Mermaid at the movie theater and it was a complete success. It lasted about 4 hours with a constant projection, coconut, praline, mango (not fig), vanilla, florals and the traditional patchouli, I LOVED IT! This scent is so enjoyable, I really had a good time smelling it, it's quite fun. But too sweet for the summers where I live, 40ºC and this scent turns cloying. It was not cloying for me, but I'm sure at this temperature, others might.

Love the scent, best in temperatures 30ºC or less. I'm so glad I got this perfume on time :D

Zethre

@domesticangel is right, this is a beautiful perfume to work with hot skin. I have to say, your review is what made me risk a blind buy on this!
Gorgeously sticky fig over a tropical Angel base somehow becomes absolutely sensual on warm skin.

domesticangel

this is the perfume that like, GOT me into perfume. I was initially on the hunt for OG angel but made the mistake of only spraying it on test paper and being hit with straight, pungent patchouli. I was like alright, well, that was gross. what was all the hype about??? I figured it out later on and love angel nowadays, but that’s neither here nor there.

anyway. I spotted a tester of eau croisière and IMMEDIATELY fell in love, and that love remains strong to this day. some may find this gross, I suppose, but when I bought it, I had just gone on a run and was piddling around in ulta until it was time to meet my mom for brunch. when I got back to my car and spritzed it all over, I honestly really loved the way it smelled when it mixed with the warmth of my skin and my sweat—and I’m not talking stale sweat, this was still pretty hot and fresh. again, I’m sure some people are wrinkling their noses, but I bring this up because I think a good marker of a really special perfume is one that mingles lovingly with your natural body and scent. It wasn’t trying to cover me up—it was fondly draping itself over me and heightening the sweet warmth I had about me. I guess I felt the need to include that because I still to this day haven’t forgotten how it made me feel!

in my opinion, this is a gourmand for people who find run of the mill gourmands boring. this isn’t a dime a dozen vanilla gourmand, this is hot and sticky overripe fruit traveling on a warm breeze with sweet, creamy milk to ground it. warm, warm, warm, I keep using that word, warm! but it’s the best way to describe it. It’s not summery, it’s not fruity, it’s not beachy, it’s not bubbly, it’s heavy and WARM!

It sticks around, too, especially if you spray it on your clothing. It can hang around forever in my t-shirts and sweaters.

(in fact, this was the fragrance that started off me and my long distance girlfriend’s habit of swapping shirts at the end of our visits so we could hang onto something that smelled like the other until we saw each other again—when I would spritz this on a t-shirt for her, I could STILL smell it by the time she came back to me weeks later!)

this was my signature for a long time, and I only ever stopped wearing it because my last bottle started to run low. I plowed through two full, large bottles of this and now have one remaining bottle with around a third left, and I’ll no doubt be hunting down more at some point. I’ve fooled around with a lot of other loves in the meantime, but I fully intend to come back to this lovely lady some day. she’s beautiful—give her a try.

lnoskin

I actually really like this! I am not a dan of the original angel. This is summery and tropical without being sunscreeny. I love wearing it summer nights.

$ortabroke

Hmm. Idk. I was really excited about this, but it smelled extremely herbal and minty on first spray, but then dried down to La Nuit Tresor by Lancome. That's one of my favorite perfumes, but definitely is not at all what I was looking for nor expected based on other reviews. I was expecting and really hoping for a creamy, tropical coconut. Gonna have to keep trying.

gourmand_girlie

All of the notes showed up for me, with no pineapple. The coconut does not make this feel tropical - to my nose this is very much a cold-weather frag. The patchouli is the reason behind that, because it's a BEAST in this perfume.

On a tester strip, it smelled like a neutral coconut-y fig home fragrance - like the inside of an At Home store. On my skin, the opening was a BLAST of a minty patchouli - like an aftershave menthol that burns your nose and chokes out all other notes.

After 15 minutes, it calmed down into more of a spicy background player - but be warned that for a while you'll smell like you just ripped the leaves off of a patchouli bush, that's how sharp and "natural" the patchouli is.

Similar fragrances, minus the patchouli:
- Philosophy Sweet Fig
- VS Nude Coconut Fig

Not a safe blind-buy - the other 2 mentioned above are safer. My favorite fig frag is still VS PINK Sweet Fig (different from above).

HyacinthBucket

Ignore the scent notes because you won't find any of them. This is fresh pineapple and light woods. It's not a syrupy pineapple. It's fresh and slightly sweet. The woods are soft and balance the pineapple nicely. The dry down smells like lovely sweet, creamy woods. I adore it and I'm happy to have it in my collection. I like to think the listed notes are a little prank pulled on L'Oreal by the ghost of Monsieur Mugler for completely effing up some of his other fragrances.

DarlingLovely

Fun, sweet, tropical fig. There's a creaminess to it as well, but it's mostly just sweet.

mechawitch

i bought this solely because the fig and praline combo sounded lovely. i ended up decluttering it because all I could smell was some sort of tropical cocktail mix. The fig was nowhere to be found, not even on the drydown :(

Queen Bee >0<

I have a full bottle of this for sale or trade.

PersianPersuasion

Fig fig fig!
Loved it so much for the fig at first that I paid retail for it in-store. Unfortunately it sat in my stash and slowly became a hated scent in my wide collection. I think my nose has graduated from the Angel scent family.

balkanbarbie

I'm selling a new bottle, sprayed only once! DM if interested <3

silverlocusts

The fig here smells supremely coconutty to me, which I do not mind. It makes this a solidly summer or warm-weather scent for me. My impression is that of moist, pulpy coconut, lightly iced with something bittersweet (must be the praline), with a vegetal dimension that keeps it from clomping wetly to the land of too much sweetness. The projection is moderate, so Eau Croisiere takes a little bit of a back seat compared to other loud mouthed Angels in the family, but she's still a star. Speaking of, the bottle is amazingly gorgeous. I think that this is a good fit in the Angel family, and EC is the Angel of Soft Sweetness.

AmeliaAroma

Fragrance newbie here! My first perfume I've bought with my own money and my first gourmand perfume!
I adore this! Sweet gourmand fruit like praline and fig - I've had it for months and I still love it. It's sweet but not too sweet, and definitely has a rich deep profile to me. I'm not a professional smeller yet, so I cant pick out the specific additional scents. I honestly think its great for all seasons, I wear it on special occasions, evenings. My signature scent!
This was a safe blind buy I made. I bought it off FragranceNet mid 2022 for $50!

Lykopa

Not at all what I expected! This is is a tropical figgy scent with a nice patchouli base. It’s quite gourmand-y. I’m smelling a pineapple note as well. This would layer well with a nice sweet vanilla.

Gigi7891

Received a free sample, was very skeptical because I have HATED Mugler in the past. I loved it! I have no idea how based on the notes but this is a TROPICAL beach scent. I actually love it and am putting on my short list of things to buy !

camibabyy

I blind bought this and Iced Star, and I was worried they would be too similar. However, they are very different IMO. This opens very woody, then reveals a magnolia and patchouli scent with a hint of vanilla. The dry down is a super creamy, beautiful scent of milky fig and praline. It’s an addicting sweet scent that is warm and cozy. You do get a tropical vibe, but almost like an after thought. This is sexy and fun scent. I never wanna be without it.

Edit: this doesn’t last long on me. Projection is okay. I have a coach perfume that performs better.

Edit: after wearing this a little more, it actually lasts all day when sprayed on clothes like knits. My clothes will smell like it dayssss after inital spray. You almost have to wash it out.

MichelleAA

IMO, Mugler rarely gets it wrong. This is a lovely scent. It's not tropical, but light with fruit, floral, and slightly sweet vanilla in the background. Drydown reminds me of the date pinwheel cookies my grandmother would make at Christmas and weirdly, home-made figgy pudding. Base notes carry the floral and slight vanilla. Light, well-balanced, not heavy-handed. Lasts about 4 hours, moderate sillage.

stellavale

I saw this on TikTok and mentioned to my coworker I wanted to smell it and she had it in her car! Original angel is just NOT my thing, so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I ended up LOVING it. For some reason it makes me think of Macy’s around Christmas with all the candles and decorations? A bit fruity, a bit spicy. Angel nova, the pink one reminds me of this a bit, but I like this one better.

lihik

This is my new obession! I have not been able to put it down since I got it a few days ago.

It's sweet but not sickly/syrupy, it's smooth and intricate and just so addicting. It also lasts a long time on me, which is impressive since most fragrances don't pass the 3-4 hour mark on my skin, but I guess most sweet scents are more long lasting. I usually hate vanilla if it's too dominant, most scents with vanilla in the base just turn to pure vanilla on my skin and it's nausiating to me, but here it adds sweetness and creaminess but it's not too prominent.

I'm glad I blind bought this, it's not a safe blind buy by any means but I love my figs and my Mugler so I knew it was worth the risk - and I was so right.

persimmonism

Mugler always pulls too rich and heavy on me, but not Eau Croisiere. This perfume introduced me to the world of Gourmands, in fact!

At first, I found the opening so off-puttingly sharp and masculine that I shoved it under my bed for a few months. However, it soon transforms into a beautiful creamy, milky, fig. I love fig notes, but many popular fig frags are too green and unisex on me. This one is feminine and sexy. The patchouli is also delightful. I have a complicated relationship with the note. Here, it's not overwhelming like in Angel, instead instead adding a beautiful complexity and intrigue.

Everyone says this is a summer frag. Yes, but it's even more perfect in the deep of winter, holiday season particularly.

ViciousVirgo

I’m a huge mugler fan, it’s the house I’ve consistently been wearing the longest -Angel all thru HS etc. Womanity has been a fave for years - recently branched out & discovered Alien (I know…),Aura, Goddess, F.Futura etc.

I’ve been wanting 2020 Eau Croisiere for such a long time & compared it to IA Yesterday Haze. While I do see the similarities w the fig, EC is much more fresh, fruity tropical; an EDT so doesn’t wear as long as YH. The vanilla & patchouli comes out a lot more in the dry down helping to round out the sharp fruity notes but those two are juxtaposed & almost at odds sometimes? It’s a stunning fig frag tho & EC just gets prettier the longer you wear it as it evolves w. the woody patchouli & vanilla notes really making it a complete thought & beautiful experience. Tho I think I slightly prefer Womanity for a Mugler fig (tho not even in the same realm) and Yesterday Haze to this?

I have a FB of the IA YH EDP and it’s much more of a powdery, woody fig frag with a *very* prominent & realistic whipped cream note which just adds such a beautiful creamy complexity to it. I feel like YH is like the older sister, who wears make up and red lipstick; sultry, deep & sophisticated VS the younger fresh faced & dewy EC - but they have similar genes.

Although I prefer YH to EC, I don’t feel they’re redundant at all and def different enough to own both.

Re the 2019 EC, I’m not a huge fan of mango… tho I may eat my words as I’ve never tried it. Then I started looking at 2021 Iced Star (pineapple coconut) which may be the perfect fit & a good compromise for me. But who says you can’t have them all? Lol

CeeTee

It’s as described. The other reviewers have done a good job.

I’ll add that I find this to have a “buttery” quality to it. Melted BUTTER.
It’s like milky fig with coconut (not listed) but to my nose, it’s undeniable.
I know this was supposed to be for a cruise, but to me, this is unequivocally a cozy Fall scent.

I’m not aware of any acceptable dupes. Snatch it up now, because authentic bottles are quickly becoming scarce!

Heavenly Heather

This is one of the most beautiful Angel flankers out there IMO. The fig is so prominent and realistic smelling. The praline & vanilla add to the sweetness of the fig and it becomes creamy as it develops. I literally cannot stop smelling my wrist when I wear this. Just lovely!

terrierhead

Based on the notes, I was absolutely certain I would love this! Most of my fragrances are sweet gourmands - how could I help but adore this perfume?

Instead, it’s the opposite.

I was grinning when the package arrived today and scrambled to open it. My son sprayed some on, pronounced it to be beautiful and passed the bottle to me. A single drop fell on my index finger, which I brought to my nose. I detected the fig and something very like pineapple. Then I got slammed in the face with something aggressively sweet and abrasive. My guess - the patchouli is the culprit. A bath, two hand washings and a shampoo later, I can still detect that single drop. My sinuses feel singed. A migraine is building and I’m hit with the worst nausea in recent memory. I can taste the fragrance. It is the opposite of a good time.

I will not be able to get this out of my house fast enough. Lovely bottle, incredible tenacity, good projection. Just very, very not for me.

takesahint

It's very sweet and slightly dewy, brings an image of biting into a freshly picked and washed fruit to mind. It also leans more masculine imo but not overwhelmingly so. The patchouli isn't as prominent as other angel flankers, yet present enough to offset the sweetness a bit. The fig is gorgeous and mouthwatering. Feels like something an effortlessly charismatic or sporty person would wear to me. Pretty, just doesn't quite fit me :)

Phedre1981

What a beautiful and appealing scent at first. When I sprayed my sample, my immediate thought was that I had to order a bottle of this ASAP. But I'm trying so hard to streamline my collection, so I let it sit for while.....it manages to have some lightness to it while still being sweet, rich and sticky, which is interesting, but I think at the end of the day it's too rich for me. Imagine a nice cheese plate with brie and fig jam and honey. You load up a cracker with all those things and it sure tastes good, but it's a bit too much and you probably won't eat another one. That's what this scent reminds me of.

Unruly Julie

I don't care for the OG, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that this flanker is pretty darn good. It's fruity and flowery with a warm sweetness underneath.

Lukuzga

Ooooooh the fig in this!!!! It is to die for! Get this straight away, this seems like the safest blind buy I could recommend to anyone. It’s got enough fruitiness in it that is quite potent that will appeal to the sweet perfume lovers, but the strength that this gives off will also be perfect for anyone that doesn’t want a tacky sugary smell; I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

juliausa

Angel Muse was my favorite Mugler till I tried this . Instant LOVE. I simply adore this : spiced warm but not overly sweet fig is sooo YUMMY.
To me this is what happiness smells like. This perfume is light enough to wear in the summer, and warm enough to be great option in cold weather. If you like fig scents you have to try this lovely, addictive, versatile and sexy fragrance.

My favorite Muglers for sure.

Vesperexa

I get a very sharp fruity scent in the beginning, I could've sworn this had a rhubard note in it, and raspberry because it smelled very fizzy, fruity and sharp. It then becomes very powdery and kind of musty on me. I'm underwhelmed.

astamm62

I really like this scent, I smell mostly the fig...I layer this with Philosophy's Vanilla Fig.

wondervalley666

My 3rd Angel flanker and I love it the most so far! It doesn't seem much like an Angel scent as the patchouli is turned WAY down. That's OK. I hate patchouli, can only tolerate it in tiny quantities when it's drowned out by other notes, and the original Angel is somehow the only patchouli dominant scent I've ever tried that doesn't send me screaming in the other direction. As far as Angel flankers and Mugler scents go in general, Eau Croisiere is very light, spicy fruity and sweet. Not a ton of Angel DNA in it. A lot easier to wear than most Mugler scents (not that difficulty ever stopped me from wearing every Mugler I get my hands on!) I do not read this as coconut or pineapple, unfortunately, as I was very interested in those notes. I'm a tropical frag junkie, and after collecting dozens of tropical scents and spending too much time on fragrantica, I've learned that most people don't know the difference between the scents of pineapple, coconut, and fig. They also often don't know the difference between lily, tuberose, and jasmine, even though I feel they are extremely different scents. I definitely can tell this is a spiced fig scent. I had a fig scented candle from Voluspa for awhile and this fig smells very similar to that one. Though this fragrance is about 100 times better than that candle! I've owned/tried a few fig scents and this is hands down the most addictive, sexy, unique, and expensive smelling blend I've some across. I don't think this is a seasonal scent. I associate fig scents with the holidays. This is light and warm enough for summer as well. It may not work well in the summer for some people in humid climates, but I live in the desert and it's 104 today with zero humidity, and this smells divine on my skin. I also live in a home and environment with a lot of wind & great air circulation, so this is not getting cloying at all on me. I actually prefer scents that perform like this in the summer, as many of the most popular soft skin scent-type frags disappear into nothing within an hour after spraying on me. I think I need to order a backup bottle!

AmBo

I agree with lechickpea, it feels too heavy for the hottest of summer days, but it's excellent for the cooler spring/fall days in the Midwest. One of my favorite Muglers.

lechickpea

This opens very bright and fruity - a mix of mango and pineapple juice - before it settles into a luscious, sweet coconut milk and mango scent, with some woodiness in the base. I know it's listed as fig, but to me the star of the show is creamy, milky coconut. Not remotely sunscreen-y, thank goodness.

I know that sounds very summery and tropical, but it's a too sweet for me in the summer heat. This will be a year-round reach for me, whenever I feel like a little pick-me-up :-)

faubel

Mango, coconut, pineapple, something of that Angel base but not the earthy patchouli--maybe a touch of the menthol part. I do love fig perfumes of all types. There is just a hint of shampoo or body wash vibe to me but the Angel vibe is stronger. More interesting and substantial than your average Escada etc. Idk if it is a buy for me but I'll enjoy my sample. I had a brief love affair with Angel EDP and EDT before my nose started to hate most patchouli in fragrances so it's cool to have some versions to enjoy.

astridkh3

Such a beautiful unique fragrance. Always get compliments when I wear this one from men and women of all ages. Smells like sultry salty fig and coconut milk (kind of surprised it’s not a not a note in here as it smells quite lactonic). It’s somehow both cool and warm at the same time, which makes it quite a versatile perfume. I wear it on fall days and summer nights. Can still smell a bit of the praline and patchouli from the original Angel DNA but without any of the moldy/dirty/sweet smell that many of us find in the original. Would recommend to anybody looking for something a little out of the ordinary without being too bizzare

vaiva.nenartavičiūtė

I smell pineapple here. I can’t believe that’s it’s not putted in the notes. Smells like pineapple juice. Pretty smell for spring and summer

AuraAngelMuse

I really like this. I wanted something similar to Angel Nova that I could find for a cheaper price since I'm almost out of Nova. This has basically the same base. Sweet, praline patchouli, which for me smells similar to a hazelnut chocolate. Angel Muse EDT also had a similar base. I assume it's something from the original Angel but I can't stand the original Angel on myself. However Angel Nova, Muse EDT and Eau Croisiere all smell amazing on me. Eau Croisiere is definitely lighter on the sillage than most of the Mugler fragrances I've tried. I'm just getting that sweet, praline patchouli base with the slightest bit of a coconut/pina colada smell. I also detect a hint of that tree sap smell mangos have when you eat them fresh. Very nice for summer. I'm sure it will probably last all day on my shirt despite being one of the lighter Mugler perfumes I've tried.

Elle's Bells

I have to rid my collection of this immediately. It was the worst blind buy this year. It opens with a tropical vibe and it smelled promising. And then the dry down came---I was left with the residual scent of musk that made me smell like a water buffalo (Not fair to the buffalo, either). I'm one of those people who just don't get on well with Mugler fragrances. Never could do Angel or Alien. I tried but it's the Mugler DNA that I can't deal with.

Lila24ch

Although it was a blind buy, I'm delighted i picked this one. This is the smell of greek summer in a bottle: relaxing on any island beach, eating figs with salty hands. Warm yet fresh, sweet yet tangy, not clean cut still gentle. I can't wait to take a vacation wearing it!

springside

This has got to be my favorite perfume, hands down. I bought it by accident while trying to get the 2019 vintage and I was so scared after reading the reviews because even the good ones described a scent I didn't think I'd like but I adore it!! It's excellent in warm weather, it's like a refreshing tangy fruity mixed drink. There's this intoxicating balance between smooth sweet creaminess and punchy tangy tartness. It doesnt last too long, being an EDT and all, but you can really smell the praline as it starts to wear off so even that's kind of a treat. It's such a fun, lighthearted perfume and I wear it all the time. My happiest mistake purchase to date!!

ScentedNorms

When I first smelled this, I thought it had a delicious guava note so I was surprised when I didn't see it listed on here; it must be the fig. It smells nothing like the regular Angel and I love it for it. It's fruity, fresh, and sweet—but not too sweet imo— with a tangy note. Some would say it's a crowd-pleasing fragrance. Sort of like a VS/B&BW body spray but the tanginess takes it somewhere else for me. I would almost describe this as a tartier Candy Yum Yum with a bit of patchouli. Can't wait to use the heck out of it this summer. :)

mandyads

Fig itself is a creamy and mild fruit. It tastes more like sweet earth than fruity fruit. The creaminess of this fragrance is very reminiscent of fig, but there is still a tropical fruitiness about it that gives me coconut and pineapple vibes. I’ve compared this side by side with both the the 2019 version (smells like mango body butter) and Iced Star (take this one and make it strong, perfectly ripe pineapple… with the longevity cut in half). I was surprised that this is my favorite. Though Iced Star is far tarter and fruitier when comparing side by side, this fragrance alone definitely holds its own in the fruit department. I don’t have many fragrances with fig in them and I’m still perplexed by that note, as it becomes overpowered by the overall accords in the fragrance. I think it’s a versatile background player that can either add sweetness, creaminess or slight fruitiness. I was surprised that it came off so tropical to my nose being that it’s not a tropical fruit by origin. Creamy and tropical is what you get here, perhaps it’s the fig + praline that ultimately provides that lactonic essence, though I don’t smell the edible praline itself per se.

Also, I’ve seen many reviewers say that this starts to remind them of the original angel DNA in the dry down where you get more of the patchouli and praline. The original angel is my most disliked fragrance. It smells like acetone gone bad to me. I don’t get that at all in this fragrance, but my partner said he did (Angel is his mom's signature scent).

I quite enjoy this paired with Mugler Womanity serving as the base. 2x sprays Womanity, with 4-6x sprays of this fragrance. If you’re looking to just have that hint of smokey-salty Womanity peeking through. I’ve been looking for a good pairing for a while, so I’m glad to have found it in this fragrance.

I thought for sure people were mistaking this version for the 2019 version when they mentioned Mango but nope, this fig smells very much like mango. I'm not very familiar with the fig fruit and if you are like me, from the tropics, then this will smell like a ripe mango.

Luckily, I love the smell, the sweet mango/fig note sticks around for a long while and I smell like a delicious fruit salad or cocktail - it's like being on vacation and puts me in a good mood. The top note stays on clothes the longest but on the skin, it does dry down after some time and the magnolia and slight vanilla come through. A total win in my book.

MonicaLV

I just got this in the mail today and was so excited as Angel bottles are my favorite because they are just so pretty. Unfortunately, I didn’t care for the juice inside. On me this smells like urine then it dries down to a sweet almost maple syrup scent with some type of green in the background. First thing that comes to mind is eating pancakes sitting in the woods. Weird but that’s what I think of when I smell the dry down.

singlehandedbeauty

I love the 2019 version, but I'm really struggling with this one. Angel Eau Croisière 2020 smells amazing in the bottle, but on my skin, the magnolia fully dominates and smells bitter and soapy, and is headache-inducing. The lovely tropical sweetness of fig, vanilla, and praline are somewhere in the background, but I have to search for it. The magnolia/patch combo just ruined this one for me. I know that other people really enjoy this and have the opposite experience (and I am SOOOO jealous) so don't let my experience deter you from trying Angel Eau Croisière 2020, especially if you can get your hands on this and you love fig. The 2020 bottle is a work of art and it pains me that this didn't work for me. (Sigh)

eau de dosa

Beautiful fragrance! It’s light, fruity and fresh. Great summer and spring perfume. Anyone know how this compares to the 2019 version?

April Flowers

This perfume is beautiful and I see it shining mostly in the summer months as it's has that tropical vacation smell. The perfume smells very sweet and I smell the sweet nectarine and fig within. Sadly this perfume doesn't last long as it is an eau de toilette and the lasting power is 2 to 4 hours on me, afterwards I have to reapply it again.....which I don't mind. Overall it's a very beautiful scent.

TexasPisces

I got this as a blind buy and fell in love 😻 with the fragrance. It’s very fruity and figgy. I feel so beautiful and sweet with it

LemonLane

Got this today and wow! It’s a lot of fun. To me it’s very tropical and bright. I get lots and lots of mango which i guess is the fig note. Not a scent to be taken seriously. It’s fun and cheerful and addicting and perfect for summer or vacation.

Violinhead8120

Noooo the bottle is so BEAUTIFUL in person, but the juice inside is the worst thing for my skin chemistry (and for my nose, even if I'm just smelling it out of the bottle). Too artificial, too saccharine sweet, and there's nothing balancing out that sweetness. The over-sweetness remains for the duration of the fragrance's life on my skin too which is such a bummer! It's more like pineapple, mango passionfruit colada, and the bartender who made it was just recently hired for the job and doesn't know how to find the correct balance of ingredient ratio yet, and they overloaded this particular drink with a few spoonfuls or squeezes of too MUCH sugar and too much nectar - the smell doesn't read as 'fig' to my nose...at all. It's nauseating and it's tropical to the MAX, in the worst possible way. I SO wanted to love this but I just don't.

Lasted about 5 hours though which is decent. It definitely projects quite well, so there - that's something I actually would've liked about it had I been able to enjoy the scent. Didn't go to a skin scent on me until the 3rd hour.

fformoso88

I wore this scent today. It’s so lovely, it opens kind of a green fig with patchouli in the background but as it dries down it gets sweeter kinda pina colada vibes. I know it’s winter but this scent made me happy today. It smells like a tropical vacation and reminds me of going on a tropical cruise laying by the pool with a Pina colada in hand. Longevity and silage are definitely there especially for an EDT! This is kind of like a grown up version of Escada fragrances and I’m living for it! Would be so gorgeous in summer! Just love it!

Manya3

I'm in heaven! I was looking for something tropical to cure midwinter blues, and this is just perfect!
I would not have guessed there's fig in here, had I not seen the pyramid (now that I know I guess there's a bit of fig leaf tangy greenness in the very first notes).
That lactonic sweet smell is pure coconut milk to me, fresh and green yet honey-like. I love the original Angel but they might have as well given this a different name altogether, that's how different they are to me. I don't get anything masculine from it (even though I believe that all frags are unisex on the right person and there probably are men who could pull this one off) , the patchouli is not too intense but just right. The whole thing is both dense and airy somehow. It's grey, humid and around 10°C now and it's just great in this weather.
Also, have you seen the bottle?! It's amazing and I intend to keep it even when it's empty because it's shiny and iridescent and I just can't

annn1

I absolutely adore the 2020 Eau Croisière! What is marketed as a Caribean Cruise type summer scent turned out to be one of my most versatile perfume purchases ever. We are approaching Christmas and I find myself reaching for the 2020 AEC more often than for any of my traditional winter scents.

The fig clearly dominates but not in an overly sweet way. There is a creaminess and (almost green and lactonic) tartness that balances out the fruitness of the figs perfectly. Yes, I'm definitely getting som praline, vanilla och patchouli in the background but there also is a hint of coconut. It is perfectly blended with the slightest reference to the original Angel and all the sillage and longevity of a Mugler EDT.

This one will be missed more than any other scent on my shelf once I'm through with this bottle (and the two backup-bottles I panic bought before it disappeared from the stores).

Oliviechinese

This is a beautiful fragrance!! On my skin the fig is the most prominent note and it’s so juicy creamy and comforting!! It’s not cloying sweet, it’s just the perfect amount of sweetness IMO. Initial spray has a hint of freshness to it but once it dries it’s just juicy creamy fig with a bit of vanilla. I can’t detect any pachouli on my skin which is a plus bc I hate pachouli! Perfect for everyday wear kind of fragrance, such a love for me! I need to look for a backup bottle bc ima cry if it’s gone!!

M1tsouko

I take back what i said about patchouli in the past, but eau croisiere smells kind of balsamic like a christmas tree. I smell almost a coconut scent but not quite. I feel like this would smell like if you were to travel to florida for christmas.

Renku

I was hoping for a sweet milky fig type of scent but I think the patchouli ruined it for me. It’s this weird in between of sweet but medical which I guess is the mugler dna.

AlaskanAngel

The fig in this is DEE-LIGHTFUL. If only the patchouli didn't ruin it for me in the dry down! This is one of the only Angel flankers that had a nice opening, not screechy, so that's saying something. I actually enjoyed it until the patchouli took over.

Scentedalterego

I’m a sucker for fig and love everything Mugler, so this was bound to be a winner, and it is! Juicy, milky, sweet fig in the opening that remains there until the drydown. This is not the leady, woody green fig but a more gourmand one.

Quite far from the OG, not as nuclear and without that dirty patchouli. Still there is a hint of that Angelesque goodness with some smoother patchouli. Compared to the previous Croisiere (the 2019 Mango one) this is not as fruity sweet, I found that one too much like an Escada fruit salad.

Longevity is good, I smell it on myself the entire day. I can wear this easiliy in colder weather, too, because of its sweeter patchouli base and lack of citrus.

hola gigi

Jammy, tropical, sweetness. The patchouli is just enough to round out the fragrance so that it's not too sweet or immature.

JessVanEgg

This is one of the sweetest fragrances I've smelled that didn't make me sick! Although the main note is fig nectar, to me, it smelled more like guava and honey, while one of my roommates thought it smelled like kiwi, and another one thought it smelled like honeydew. But we could all agree it is very sweet and fruity. It's still fresh enough to be worn during hotter days, and warm enough to be worn during cooler days. It's also super feminine.

The performance was also quite good. It lasted on my skin for about 5-6 hours, and it had a moderate trail.

8.5/10. Very sweet and tasty, and a good performance for the value.

rainme

If you are an angel hater don't be scared of this flanker, the patchouli is toned wayyyyy down and it's all tropical fruits and honey to my nose. I can't stand Angel EDP but I like this one. Another commenter compared it to Dolce Garden and I agree, but I find Day Croisiere to be even more sweet and syrupy.

glitterizer

The fig note is way greener and more masculine than I expected. Not a bad scent, but not what I was looking for. It is sweet, but the mix of salty and lactonic undertones is off-putting to me.

Joshhiggins32

I’m not much of an angel fan, I can tolerate the smell, and respect this uniqueness of it but it’s just not for me. That’s said I read the notes of this and was intrigued with the fig so I went ahead and blind bought it. This is a hidden gem from mugler. This takes some OG angel DNA and makes it much more fruity sweet and it doesn’t have that overly dirty patchouli smell that ruins angel for me. This is beautifully done and is just so nice to smell and wear. The fig is center stage with pralines coming in and then slight patchouli to ground the sweetness. For an EDT this lasts a good 7-8 hours with the last few becoming a skin scent and the sillage for the first couple hours is pretty good! You can find this for a very decent price right now and I’d say get it if you love the notes described!

xoxoMyke

Eau Croisere 2020 is all about a very photo realistic green fig. The fig completely dominates from start to finish.

EC2020 opens with a very green fig note. In about 20 seconds, there is a candied mango note rushing in to keep the interest of the target audience of this fragrance. There's also a "lemony" essence quietly riding behind this mango note. Even with the supersweet, hard-candy mango & lemon combo, the green fig is very masculine and is the sole note keeping EC2020 out of the obnoxious saccharine territory and it also keeps the fragrance unisex.

When the mango bows out, a very hollow shell of the original Angel DNA base (crisp, musk, patchouli) with praline sweetness presents itself all while the green fig maintains center-stage and remains the star of this fragrance. I like that the slight hint of BO is present as that's one of the most interesting aspects of the original Angel.

Men could easily wear this fragrance as it is no sweeter than the Invictus / Azzaro Wanted / Polo Red of today. Funny enough, it's the green fig note that accomplishes the unisex category for me. I'm honestly happy with this blind buy purchase.

Atomikbomb_

It's not the same as the first Eau Croisière, but it's not entirely different either. In place of mango, it's a type of fig with the same intensity. Imagine being with a friend at an ice cream truck, and you both order popsicles, one is mango and one is fig, but they're both from the same company and resemble one another strongly.

There also seems to be a bit of coconut in here, I thought it would be listed. I really, really smell coconut and I don't think I'm trippin'.

This bears a better resemblance to the original Angel than did the orange EC, which didn't smell like it whatsoever. In here, after about 20 minutes patchouli begins to emerge, along with more praline - the infamous (delicious) Angel accords, but in here they remin a mere echo. If you dislike Angel (God help you, because it's beautiful, but I digress...) you might still enjoy this one as it's a much more mellow spinoff.

What I enjoy about these EC fragrances (and makes me want to try Iced Star) is that they're simply yummy, fruity, juice bar type fragrances with decent performance. I don't find them to be boundary pushing, gnarly fragrances that challenge the senses (again, I love Angel and also the other Mugler pillar fragrances), but they're not quite "normal" like things that you would smell on the public either.

This is funky, fun, summery and actually smells of fig with cookies or praline, so I give it credit! It had decent longevity and sillage, and I do believe something like this would be appreciated by kids or at casual outings, family events, and whatever. It makes me happy, and that's always refreshing!

Starlight_moon

Very pretty scent, and it lasts FOREVER! The longevity is insane, so a little goes a long way when applying otherwise it will become cloying.
The bottle is very pretty with all these colors and classical Angel bottle design.
The fragrance itself is sweet with a small green note that's peeking through, very nicely done.

Upd.: I still think the bottle is pretty, but the scent is no longer attractive to my nose. Smells very synthetic sweet. I will be removing it from my collection.

Lilly44

I blind bought this since I wanted a fig perfume and Phylosikos is not that easily available for me. I love angel flankers so I tought nothing can go wrong. And I was right!
This starts with a bit green, woody and sweet opening. Greenness and woodiness reminds me of fig leaves and branches. Fig to me is not that dried fig but juicy one. All of this is so well balanced and blended that greenness and woodiness do not disturb my gourmand loving nose (wich was my biggest concern in blind buying Phylosikos). Later on a milky note develops on my skin that reminds me of the milky substance that you can see when you pick up the fig from the tree. All of this is interesting because there are no notes of real leaf, branch an fig milk but the mix of notes reminds me of exactly that with added sweet goodness. I usually don't get along with magnolia in perfumes but in this blend I don't mind it.
In the drydown I can smell pralines more and that classic Angel patchouli but it's not that strong as in other Angels.
Longevity is great, it lasts all day and on my clothes-well forever?😄
Overall I find this pretty unique for designer fragrance, but if you do not love Angel this might not be a safe blind buy.
Oh and it is totally gender free, I can easily imagine it smelling great on a guy😋

SummerRose

After buying Angel Iced Star and loving it, I decided to Blind Buy Angel Eau Croisière 2020. I am so disappointed with this fragrance. I was expecting so much more from this but it did not deliver. It opens quite sweet and stay pretty linear on my skin. It is okay and it reminds me of Lalique Soleil but I prefer Soleil because it has more character. I have really started to enjoy Mugler and thought this would have been a safe blind buy. I already have 6 other Mugler perfumes. Maybe my expectation was too great.... I expected a twist, a bit of drama or something out of the ordinary but IMO it's quite flat Also the performance isn't good. I only get about 2-3 hours and it's mainly a skin scent on me. I have tried layering with Angel Muse and perhaps will do so whenever I wear it. I will keep it but not repurchase or recommend to others. I much prefer Angel Iced Star!

ppalm

the opening is fruity and sweet, but not light and not juicy, like so many other fragrances. Its a heavy intensely rich dried fig fragrance to me. surprising that this was a summer release. It's sweet but not sickeningly so. I love the opening.

After the initial burst, the typical angel patchouli takes over, which smells dirty on me. I like it at moments but the patch dominates.

I have it on the shelf to be sold, but I keep changing my mind. There are no other perfumes that smells like this figgy vanilla opening. When I smell it from the bottle its delicious.

singlehandedbeauty

I am so grateful I managed to snag a bottle of Angel Eau Croisière 2020 before it disappears forever. The bottle itself is everything I was hoping for, but the juice exceeded all of my expectations. This scent is definitely unisex. The opening is deliciously tropical and I get a mango-ish vibe from the mixing of the fig and other unlisted fruity notes. It smells almost identical to Vietnamese sago pudding with coconut and mango. Yum! As it dries down, the fruits soften and the magnolia makes its entrance. This is a very clean, bordering on masculine magnolia, but I find that on skin the fruit projects more and on fabric I get more of a soapy magnolia. Either way, I enjoy it because everything melds together beautifully despite the dichotomy of the notes. However, what is truly special is that we never fully lose that fruity opening. It is softer, but I get wafts of it throughout the life of the fragrance. Sillage and longevity are outstanding for an EDT! AEC 2020 can be worn year-round making it a very versatile fragrance. There's not a whole lot in common here with the original Angel, but it's still distinctively Mugler.

maggiepeyton

I will say that it is very fresh but in my opinion it is almost masculine leaning. I can’t find any review that agrees with this but it was the first thing I thought when I sprayed it . I personally won’t wear it out without layering it. But I’m working with it , not tossing it and it isn’t a scrubber.

Christinageor10

An absolute love at first sniff! Tropical fig cotton candy. This is an amazing flanker and both are beautiful in their own right and depending on the mood. The added fig and praline bring a light sweetness to this one and it's great for daytime and evening. Fresh and creamy! Longevity is moderate and sillage is pretty good as well. Full bottle worthy and delightful. 8.75/10 ❤😍

Edit: I realized I should add a note about my personal taste after watching a YouTube video of someone being disappointed in this fragrance after a blind buy based on reviews. I love patchouli and this fragrance still has that base. It is all the other things I described, but sitting on an earthy bed of patchouli.

hannahlauren

Okay, first off just have to clarify some confusion here with the notes: as a poster below stated, this version has fig, praline, magnolia, patch, and vanilla.

I can see how some people could maybe confuse this with the newest flanker (Iced Star) as the fig and magnolia totally give off a coconut pineapple fragrance. If you were not familiar with the notes, this is definitely what you would smell.
However, if you are familiar with fig and fig milk, the opening is super milky fig, and then the powerful magnolia is right there ready to roll. The praline adds that sweetness that lends the perception of a tropical cocktail, even though to me none of these notes are the least bit tropical. However, having said that, I can see how these notes would trick you to that conclusion, because overall it does give off that tropical vibe. (I can tell because the bugs are swarming around me right now as I'm wearing this 😫)
Overall a beautiful fragrance, and if you are not a huge fan of typical 'tropical' frags this truly isn't one. If you familiarize with the notes you will really appreciate the different unique feel of this lovely perfume!

This is for potential buyers…This review section can be very confusing because a lot of people are reviewing the Eau Croisière 2019 in this section instead of the 2020 version(they are totally different).

EAU CROISIÈRE 2019
ORANGE AND PINK STAR: mango, grapefruit, sorbet, praline, patchouli, and black currant.

EAU CROISIÈRE 2020
PINK PURPLE BLUE and GREEN STAR: fig nectar, praline, patchouli, magnolia, and vanilla.

Notes are not even identical…the only thing they share as far as notes are praline and patchouli and I honestly don’t get patchouli at all in the 2020 version even though a lot of people do. Now there might be some hidden notes in these that makes people think they smell similar, but idk. And 2020 has some sweetness, but not syrupy, cloying, or juvenile sweetness. More of a mature sweetness to my nose(not mature in a bad way). Just not overly young smelling and it’s not a edible sweetness to my nose. Kind of makes me think of a sweetness that would be in a candle…not a sweetness you can eat

Mariamaija Amélie

Flowery-tropical, sweet - but not very sweet (to my nose), ultra feminine, "young", playful, lovely and uncomplicated. Reminds me a bit of Dolce Garden. Got it yesterday and I'll gladly fool around a lot more with this one to get to know it a bit better. The bottle is drop dead lovely and easy to appreciate and the scent grows on me minute by minute

bowieblue

This is my perfect summer fragrance, I love it so much. Not to mention the bottle is gorgeous. I also smell mango when it dries down, though its not listed. Doesn't really smell like Angel to me at all. For me it smells like a creamy, tropical fruit cocktail on the beach. Lasts a very long time on my skin and clothes. It's just a fun fragrance and I really enjoy wearing this one in the heat.

lzak

Smells like mango to me, though that is not an official note. A lovely summer fragrance that smells like a fruity summer drink to me. A great vacation scent. Picked up one, then immediately two bottles, because I love it. The multicolored star is also a beautiful, fun bottle.

emilyjxne

Too sweet, sickly & cloying for summer & too juvenile smelling for my early 30s year old self.

Granted I haven’t smelt it in a long long time but I feel like this is similar to Miami Glow by Jlo.

Not a safe one to buy without testing first unless you’ve smelt the other summer Angel flankers. It’s a no from me.

If you like it, it’s good value for money though.

PiperOK31

First Impression: This smells exactly like tanning on the beach in the Bahamas. Very tropical and creamy. Also reminds me of drinking like a fruit nectar (not juice....nectar). The closest perfume I can compare this to is D&G Dolce Garden. To me, it smells very similar but this is less sweet.

amidwestheart

Found this one on clearance at Ulta and decided to get it as a blind buy. I love fig and patchouli, and the Angel DNA in here is noticeable, but not overwhelming. It's as if Angel was hanging on the clothesline in the sun, got a little sun bleached, and dosed up with fig. One of my favorite Angel flankers.

RainbowGirl

I really like this. The warm fig is exactly what this Angel fragrance needed. I love the smell of fig in perfumes. It is both warm and fresh at the same time. Super bizarre, but super lovely.

I only sprayed this on one arm, and everytime I move around, I get this beautiful fresh sweet scent surrounding me. Makes me smile and breathe deeply. I cannot believe this is an EDT.

At first, I get the warm sweet fig, with the fresh green patchouli. Then I get a hint of magnolia. A fresh and delicate white flower note, that I just love.

Sometimes I dislike patchouli in perfumes, and sometimes I love it. I zero understand it... but it is what it is. In this perfume, I love it.

The sweetness from the praline and vanilla is definitely in here. This perfume is sweeeet.

You get a hint of the original Angel smell in here, but it is more fresh, less woody, and less... vagina. Trust me, once you know original Angel smells like vagina... you can never unsmell it. A beautiful fragrance, but too heavy for me, and not work appropriate.

The freshness and warmth in this 2020 Angel Eau Croisière means it can be for both work and home, day or night. Great for all seasons.

A lovely perfume, in a beautiful bottle.

Tweez

I bought this late into 2020 and only wore it twice since then, until yesterday. I’m an original Angel devotee and blind bought this, thinking it would have the DNA of Angel, but I was sad to not detect anything at all similar in it. I find it very sweet and still do. I love gourmand perfumes, but this is just a little too much. It might be the fig that i don’t like perhaps. After a couple of hours, I prefer it and by that time, I find topping it up with the original angel brings it back into something wearable for me. If you love Angel, I’d recommend testing this first.

amr99

Fruity creamy. It smells like a fruity perfume on someone late in the evening who’s been out in the sun all day. Very slight BO smell but in a way that evokes the passing of time not in a way of someone whose been at the gym. Totally personal preference, and perhaps not safe for a blind buy. Excellent performance though.

Nraveles

Creamy, creamy, creamy. That’s all I gotta say.
This is such a beautifully tropical fig that feels a bit like coconut! It’s SO GOOD

Mcgvtt

I wanted to like this... but there's something off in the notes. It upsets my stomach when I smell it throughout the day. It's like smelling a delicious fruity cocktail after you've had one too many?

Edit: I am starting to like this one! One spray on my wrists and a sprits on my clothes. Perhaps I over sprayed before? Or it's just better in the heat. :)

risarii

This is a beauty! I love this one more than Angel Nova (unfortunately since that’s my favorite bottle)

It’s naturally sweet and very smooth

amandawilliamspalmer

Summer green fig, pineapple love. Update: Wore this on the hottest day of the year today and it is pure mango. I smell a lot of mango in this even though it isn't listed.

Kai_11

This is a pretty, sweet fruit warm weather fragrance, really easy to wear. Altogether, the notes are like pineapple to me, really nice, warm, syrupy, but without being headache inducing. The final drydown is lightly gourmand, the creamy praline seems to shine as the sweet settles.

mystike23

Creamy coconut and fruits ☺️ I don’t get any patchouli from this one. People around me seem to like it. On my skin last for about 6 hours, on my clothes last until next day. Moderate projection. This was a blind buy and I don’t regret buying it.

GabrielleeeeeW

Love this one, it's a super wearable take on Angel. I get some of the original in there but it's been adapted to summer. It smells like a fresh, tropical, fruity drink. I get a prominent juice note that almost smells like pineapple but must be the fig. I don't get coconut or sunscreen vibes, this is less laying out on the beach and more sipping cocktails by the pool.

RitaMargarita

A typical Mugler thing - hate it or love it. I personally regret buying it. Too much minty pachuli for me. Love the 2019 orange Croisière!

Hanoian

Sickeningly sweet mango, fig & fake coconut. Absolutely awful stuff!

Amour, Michele

Gosh this is so so yummy! Angel on a cruise! In the beginning it's incredibly yummy sour in a juicy grapefruit/lemon kinda way. Then, it's fruity, milky (without being overly coconut-y like dried coconut shavings which I wanted to avoid), very fresh (without smelling like shower gel) and ridiculously delicious. It really smells like mango topping you'd drizzle on top of your shave ice soaked in light coconut milk from a fresh green coconut with lots of other chopped fruits as toppings as well. I usually cannot stomach milky fig notes, it makes me feel a bit sick, but this is truly milky and not plant sap milky. You really smell it as some mongo-y tropical fruit and not exactly fig. Also, it has none of the typical suntan lotion smell or big white floral aspect you get in many "vacation" or "tropical" perfumes. I'm never a big fan of those so this was a pleasant surprise. To me, the floral aspect with the magnolia is not really noticeable until quite later, but I'm guessing it's the freshness. It definitely comes across as floral but it's not sweet. That and a bit of vanilla is what dominates the drydown.

This is so wonderful! It's so fun, utterly delicious. If you're looking for something fruity and sweet, vacation in a bottle, delicious but not typically gourmand (tons of vanilla, sugary sweet, chocolate), I highly recommend this. It's really pleasant but surprisingly unique in that I don't have anything like this and I have 200+ bottles. smells NOTHING like the OG Angel. Literally no connection, except a TINY shadow of a patchouli. It's a lot more closer to Womanity which I pretty much hated, so don't let that deter you. It's just the beach vibe and fig-y fruit that's reminding me VERY slightly of it and it's from the same brand so I'm thinking of it, but none of the weird salty-sweet sappy thing going on there.

Cherrylipgloss

This is a juicy, sweet, tropical mixed drink. This is one of the best tropical fragrances out there. It lasts like 3 hrs on my skin, but it lasts sooo long when sprayed on clothes/fabric. 100% worth the buy.

LALDN

It’s a super sweet scent. The fig coconut scent really stands out and almost becomes mangoish, but there is still too much patchouli in the base making this come on strong. I will have to give this scent another try in the heat of summer and see if I can make it into a tropical summer night scent.

Update: It’s an addicting scent, and if it’s not too strong and cloying for you then Yay! I wish it was that way for me. This scent was just full throttle intense from beginning to end, and lasted 12+ hours on my skin. My clothes will smell like it for days afterwards and with the sweeeet almost BO vive it gives off, it was just too much for me unfortunately. It’s beautiful though. If it doesn’t turn you off, then it should be a unique keeper for your collection. The bottle is stunning! Sad I had to sell it.

Note: I also believe my bottle was a very strong formulation compared to what some people got. It’s sillage and longevity was ridiculously huge. No weakness in sight.

TaraRachelle

This is one of my favorite "tropical" scents. I absolutely hate Angel and Angel Muse and find Mugler scents to be pretty challenging, in general. I love their bottles, though, and someone sent me a sample of this in a recent swap.

It's everything I want a tropical scent to be-- juicy, beachy, sweet, but not overpoweringly sweet. It smells like a tropical drink when it's hot out. I don't get any coconut here, which is what a lot of scents rely on to make them feel "beachy." There is also no suntan lotion vibe, which is also a nice change of pace.

In short, I find this really unique for a beach/summer scent, and I'm planning to buy a FB (it's gorgeous!) soon. It's missing the suntan lotion/synthetic coconut parts of a beach scent that I just don't like, but it has all the wonderful fruitiness amped up.

I remember trying a Bath and Body Works scent (Bora Bora maybe?), and this has the same opening, but the BBW scent faded within minutes. The fruity notes here hang around for a good few hours. This is everything I had hoped Bora Bora would be. You'd still need to reapply this midday, but that's pretty decent longevity for a fruit dominant fragrance. Projection is good, too, and as it's just starting to be spring right now where I am, I can only imagine performance will improve in the summer.

scentient

This is a very sensual, warm fragrance with good strength. I picture wearing this while enjoying the juice bar on a summer vacation. Fun and sweet without feeling too cheap, young, and/or cloying.

RRHouse

The opening is pleasant but assertive, its an EDT but has the power of an EDP on me. Immediately I get juicy sweet/tart/greenish fig and light magnolia, the floral is quite subdued here. The star here is the vanilla praline, which leans somewhat balsamic, and the base of woody patch grounds everything nicely. I imagine a wood fairy would wear this fragrance. The performance is fantastic, 10 hours after application this has not faded and it is still projecting. Its not a complicated fragrance, but it is unique. The fizzy sweet/tart fig and woody vibe keeps me coming back smelling my arm over and over.
Rating: 8/10.
Projection: 7/10; Silage: 7/10; Application: 6 atomizations; Performance: 10/10.

Edit: Summer time now and this reads much for patch heavy on my skin, which I don't like, so I swapped it.

Janulka098

I am going through a number of Mugler fragrances. Lockdown and working from home, it gives me a small pleasure smelling different things. I like this one. I am not getting coconut or mango as such but to me it smells like freshly picked green fig - that sap you get on the end of the stalk, (is that called fig milk? )
I get green fig/ fig sap smell with some magnolia flowers in the background. Don’t get much Angel at all, nice fresh botanical fragrance - Liking it a lot :)

smellulater22

*my humble and honest review*
Fig. Milk. Nectar
this juice is intoxicating and addicting to me, I just can't get enough! It is straight up what my milky figgy dreams are made of! Not overly sweet, it has a tartness too that makes it feel fresh. This isn't a complicated perfume. Have been wearing it everyday for a couple months, I really do crave this now. As an edt it has longer staying power on clothes than skin, which is fine I will continue to shower myself in this scent<3

aris1223

I love this . So tart and juicy and fresh. I smell coconut although its not listed. I also get a boozy drink vibe from this fragrance. Perfect spring/summer frag!

Anna Maky

wow I am schocked. This is almost identical DNA with Fleur de Rocaille by Caron without coconut. I love it! It´s so refreshing and happy fragrance, but in a sophisticated way, If you love EdT flankers from Angel, this is a must-have for you. Amazing playful bottle, tho.

mapache

This is a pretty good Angel flanker, IMHO.
I find it fruity/semi-tropical....Fig/magnolia.....with a touch of patchouli and vanilla-ish praline.
On my skin,I do not really get full-on original Angel. This for me is a flanker of a flanker.
Not really "complex"....but it is somehow....addicting.
Performance/sillage could be better.....but for the "type" of fragrance this is, I expected it.
A big "like" so far.

CaliBlonde

Very nice tropical scent. Doesn’t come across cheap or artificial to me like some other fruity/tropical scents can. Instead it’s very smooth, soothing, and natural.

Basically smells like fresh coconut water. Like a vendor just used a machete and cracked open a young coconut. Little bit of pineapple and a few other notes but mainly coconut water. That may not sound great or complex but I would definitely recommend it!

eliego7

This is so, so good! Tropical, sweet, fresh, juicy, and also very unique. Perfect for hot, humid summer days. Very inoffensive, you can wear it anytime and anywhere. Bring your bottle with you because sadly, it doesn’t last long... Now I can’t wait to see if they will launch an eau for 2021!

vluvsperf

I have been wearing this for months. It smells sso tropically. Just for reference when i close my eyes annd pinpoint the coconut, in here smells like young coconut. not the dried or artificial coconut scent

Esteem

Tropical fragrances aren't my favourite but I adore this one. I'm shocked by the fragrance notes, because to me this is blatantly pineapple, mango and grapefruit up close, and from afar, the strongest coconut scent I've known from a perfume. It's delightfully creamy, smooth and inoffensive.

oncebitten

Phenomenal flanker and I will promptly be hoarding every bottle I can get my hands on. As tropical as this comes across, I'm surprised the only fruit note listed is fig nectar - I immediately get a punch of mango and pineapple that settles into coconut water after a few minutes. The magnolia eventually shows up, transporting me to summers on the gulf coast, walking around the huge magnolia tree in my grandparents' front yard, picking up the creamy cast offs and rubbing the petals between my fingers in the hot sun. It's just so sunny and happy and nostalgic, and I can't get enough of it.

rachelsedge

I wanted to love this, as I adore Angel, but something just didn't sit right on me with it. It does open smelling a bit like a fruit cocktail, with a little bitterness. It dried down to a milky, sweet fig, but it was almost... cold smelling, somehow not quite right with my skin chemistry. Something would just make me cringe smelling it. I really can't put my finger on what it was. I was hoping for a coconuty, fruity drink perfume, perfect for summer. Unfortunately, this was not it.

BattleBabers

Have you ever smelled the ridiculously named perfume by Killian, Let's Settle this Argument like Adults, in the Bedroom, Naked?? I liked that one, it was super different and pulled very 'fig' like on my skin, followed by some sweet marshmallow and wood, but the lasting power was abysmal, maybe 30 minutes to an hour and gone. THIS? This is a Mugler scent.
So, to begin, I LOVE Angel, it is top three for me. This doesn't feel very Angel to me. Maybe far, far into the dry down I get a little of the sultry base notes. As Angel is one of those scents that smells a bit different on everyone, it dries down to a spicy, honey covered cocoa bean on my skin. This one has a VERY strong milky fig upon first application for me. I really like fig in perfume though so I do like it. The dry down on my skin is more warm herbal tea, milky fig, a smidge of vanilla and has more of a lightly spicy, woody base. To me, it almost has that amber vibe, like the base of Alien? My skin doesn't pull sweet with this one at all. For me, this is more of a fall or early spring fragrance.
it was a bit of a surprise to be honest. I read all the reviews and was kind of hoping for a more summery, lighter, version of my beloved Angel, albeit with some tropical fruits. That is not what this is for my skin.
I would still love a 'summery' version of Angel and am open to recommendations!

Edit: 2/2022 - I can't stop wearing this fragrance! I can see where some might get a 'coconut' vibe on this but on my skin nearly every perfume that lists 'coconut' turns very plastic-y and fake. This on the other hand is a yummy, milky fig that maybe could smell like coconut due to the lactonic quality? The tea smell is in there with some spicy woods and something light and fresh (magnolia??) in the dry down. The sillage on my skin is intense. If I spray it at the base of my neck I can still smell it in my hair 16+ hours later. I would say if you like fig based perfumes, both green/pulpy and milky, this may be a win for you! Grab it while you still can.

acali21

Amazing! Thierry Mugler never disappoints. Complex and alluring scent. Imagine the original Angel with fruity summery notes. Can’t wait to wear this in the summer!

Vibi

This is my new obessision! It's fruity but not overly sweet and sirupy. There is a fresh note which is oh so plesantly complemented by juicy fig nectar and lovely praline. A true masterpiece that I will save for warmer weather when I think it will unfold to full potential. It has nothing in common with the original Angel, which to me smells like dirty patchouli. If you can get you hands on this, and that's not so easy now, get it!

Jabouba

I’m not a fan of fruity perfumes, I highly dislike this one.

Cosmina07

Baked coconut cake some juicy exotic fruits on top and some chopped mint. It makes my mouth watering because this smell makes u feel like u eat that amazing cake. It is a beautiful perfume, cake and cocktail vibes🥰🍹

alang4l

To my nose this smells like a coconut and fig yogurt with a hint of mint (sounds kinda weird I know). Even though it’s marketed as a summer scent I assumed this would also work in the colder months because of the notes but nope, I definitely think this would work way better in the warmer months.

I can see why some people are comparing it to the 2019 edition (which in my opinion is way better, doesn’t get sickening and works all year round) but this is more creamy/yogurty while the 2019 one is definitely more fresh.

Rosemary14

I completely agree that this smells like a tropical fruit drink. Mugler is usually a bit quirky, intense, loud, original, maybe even crossing over into abstract. But I feel like with this one they went straight into “likable” but still stayed true the patchouli base. It reminds me of the 2019 EDT Angel release but WAY better IMO. This one is just delicious and fruity opening that really does smell like berries or a fruit drink. The fig makes it smooth and lactonic then you have a lighter patchouli and sweetness of the original but tamed down. There is also a pinch of freshness smelling like fig leaf in this playing peek-a-boo with your senses. The best part of this flanker is that it all blends together so nicely. It’s actually balanced but and not shy. Still a little loud but nowhere near the volume of the original. It’s my favorite Mugler buy far. In fact this is a serious contender fighting it’s way into my top 10 maybe even higher. Man I love this.

JaeIsFancy

This is a new favorite! I smell like a “Sex on the Beach" cocktail when I wear it. This smells like fig & coconut milk on the dry down. It lasts hours on me and my son was able to smell me put it on from the next room. I thought the smell was gone but I sprayed some in my hair and it stayed there until I washed it, so I think I just became used to it. I got a ton of compliments while wearing but I had weird moment at first of whether or not I liked it. My husband described it as " the party girl has arrived" and doesn't think it should be worn if I want to be low key. I love it and will buy another, like this week, because I love the idea of smelling like a fun tropical drink on demand.

KweenRemonaaa

I got BLACKPINK vibes from it. The pralines and fig are amazing!

Meenah

I don't care for the original Angel but I love this version.

JetsBabe

Smells like escada perdumes. Just weird. And angels usually last so what happened to this??! Oh and no bottle-holder :(

-Detect pineapple or something that smells just like it ~ just a pleasant fruit of fruits
-no patchouli
-sure, vanilla
*****While I still believe lasting-power isn't comparable to other angels, this treasure is worth holding on to. Not only is the bottle stupendous, but the fragrance is very different from "angels" and I'd say a lot more playfull with fruits and happiness. This is perfect for summer/spring. I would recommend. Ignore original comments*****

dglightblue

Nope, nooope. I dont believe any of the reviews ive watched or read, for me this ckmes acrossas ballpark nomade, and kenzo world...
Zingy fruit with and earthy woody tint.

Pina colada who?
Coconut what?

The fruit is thick and juicy and the earthiness or semi dry wood sort of has an anchor to it, which could be patch.
This is not the fruity clean tropical like the escadas nor plus clean white floral fruity thing, nor is it the fully edible gormand, i dont have praline in this and ive got a few muglers.

Ive got fresh figs outside, this isn't figgy, not milky, there is a slightly fresh feel right at the back which I think patch has something to so with, though in no way is this a freshie. Arms length sillage.

Fruity, earthy/wood

Nurses04.

Ok - I admit it, this was a blind buy, I bought it for the bottle! To my nose it is so similar to ‘Fico Di Amalfi’ by Aqua Di Parma. It has the sharp fruity/citrusy opening which is followed by a dominant fig note. I associate fig notes with ‘greener fragrances’ which this is not! It is sweet so that it’s more like fig nectar! I enjoy wearing this - it’s good for a spring daytime scent, it’s fun and bright! Projection is good for the first hour and then it’s a skin scent for 4-5 hours. Not a regret buy but equally not a repeat purchase.

zoebrienne

The first spray is a little much for me. On my skin, it's sweet mango with sour grapefruit but it's a big punch in the face and I can't wait for the dry down because the dry down is a creamy and warm coconut with a hint of vanilla. I feel, on me, it's a little one dimensional and I keep hoping for a little bit more. So I'll shop around my collection to layer but overall it's a good, fun tropical scent.

sakura28

On my skin, this smells like a sweet deep-toned tropical fruits mango-fig scent. It has a sweet tropical vibe. Reminds me of a fruity adult drink you would have on an island vacation.

I know there's not any mango or other fruits other than fig as a official note, but it starts off with reminding me of creamy thai mango coconut sticky-rice. Maybe because I never eat figs too often I just think of what's familar. I do get hints of underlying praline + pachulli, which is what I believe gives this a little more depth and a little weight to the scent/brings some balance.

Main difference from 2019 vs 2020 for me is 2020 does not have as much pachulli as the 2019 version. 2019 had alot more pachulli imo, and unfortunately that note smells very dirty on my skin. Therefore I much prefer the 2020 version. 2019 literally smells like straight mango + pachulli. Bc of the amount of pach it's dirty on my skin right away. Side by side 2020 one almost smells like it has multiple fruits. I guess my nose just really is thrown for a loop by the fig note. Not sure how that happens.

When I first smelled this I gagged I hated it. But I later remembered it and craved it. Now I enjoy this one so much I bought a backup bottle. It's very unique to my collection.

The bottle design is just gorgeous, my favorite bottle I own.

Longevity is crazy good. I can put it on before bed, and when I wake up it's still pretty strong. I dont even having to lift my arm to my face, I just smell it. Well done with this one mugler.

When I looked up the word Croisière = cruise, holiday on ship visiting multiple places. Now I see the name is very fitting. I see this as a fun go-to summer vacation scent, but definitely can be enjoyed year round.

Addictive and intoxicating.

Boppidy

This is definitely one of my all time favourite scents; a beautiful, summery fruity smell! As a lot of others have mentioned, there is no mango note mentioned, but that’s almost all I get; super fresh, eaten straight from the skin mango, so delicious! Figgy and vanilla-y for me in the dry down, but truly mango all the way through. For me, this smells nothing like the original angel, which I personally appreciate as the original is a little too intense for me.

This lasts on me for a crazy amount of time for an EDT, and just leaves me smelling sweet and edible all day. I’ve already purchased a backup bottle even though my existing one is still half full, I definitely don’t want to be without it!

ItsAlwaysSunny

I feel like I get fog and coconut. Not a bath and body works coconut, but a real piece of coconut. I don’t think there’s a coconut listed. I got tropical vibes from it, but not sunscreen tropical. I’m glad I tested this in the store. It’s not a strong dislike - but I dislike it, non the less.

danygurl06

If I compare this to the 2019, I don’t like this one as much. I’m assuming it’s because of the very sweet fig. This fig overshadows the summery fruits. There is a little bit of magnolia in there. So this doesn’t smell like summer in a bottle like I had hoped.

This smells overly complicated for a summer fragrance on my skin. I has that thick bestseller fragrance that is sprayed all over in southern boutique gift shops. The ones that sells jewelry, baby registry items, sorority paraphernalia, Vera Bradley, toiletry items and candles.

Even though this smells nothing like Tom Ford Black Orchid, it shares that same dense quality. I feel you could buy this fragrance in a lotion, candle and perfume.

I’ve only ever tested this indoors in arctic cold rooms with AC. Maybe this needs sun and warmth to bloom. I too feel that way about TF Black Orchid. I think it smells better in heat than it does in the cold.

Overall it’s a nice sweet fragrance.

CallMeT__

This is my favourite fragrance from Mugler, by far! I was a bit hesitant to get Eau Croisiere 2020 since I absolutely dislike the O.G Angel, but this was a pleasant surprise. It is very sweet, I get milky fig and a juicy berry - though berries are not listed on the notes. It opens up very fruity and juicy on my skin, then the milky fig comes through quite strong. Maybe some vanilla too but on my skin it remains in the background. I definitely get the patchouli, and it is pretty intense; so if you have a problem with patchouli then this probably isn’t a good buy for you. I also get some mango with the milky fig, making Eau Croisiere vacation/hot weather appropriate. Performance is impressive for an EDT, I get at least 10 hours of longevity and decent silage. I also receive plenty of compliments whenever I wear this beauty. This is one you have to be careful with on the trigger because a little goes a long way.

It’s a fave, for sure and one I will definitely get a back-up of. If you dislike the original Angel as I do, give this one a try. It is a truly beautiful summer gourmand ♥️

Kots_Tanya

This flanker is beautiful, and summery and tropical, honestly I smell mango too, and I can smell black current even tho it’s not listed here, may be that’s what suppose to be fig note. But seriously to me it does smell like some tropical mango and more so black currant than fig. I like this one more the 2019 version. It’s so fresh and so pretty. Even tho it does have sweetness of praline but it’s definitely perfect for summer. The performance is so good for EDT, my shirt still smells like it next day. Need a back up bottle asap before it disappears. May be not the for the full price though. I did get mine at great discounted price so I’m super happy with it.
Safe blind buy for sure.

Another thing I generally don’t enjoy Mugler house, I find most of the too potent and provocative but this just did it for me, well and Angel Nova but that’s another review.
It’s so good.

bovogie

I agree with @Yamba1's review about picking up on a mango scent & how it's a very summery fragrance. I adore this one & find that even as a EDT its longevity is equal to many EDP's.

FYI- Your second comment/response gave me a little chuckle. no offense @mellyv1973 I just find good humor in snarky responses. Also, could not stop laughing while typing this after reading @heevens "Eau Croissant". Hilarious!

Samanthajc1

This is very unique. I can pinpoint a mugler scent without ever have smelling it before...they’re incredible, rich, delicious, and high quality and Theres something about them, maybe the quality of ingredients, that screams mugler in the best way! This fragrance is no exception. It’s perfect and so delicious! The bottle and the packaging is beautiful. I wish they would make a stand to hold multiple mugler bottles. I also really hope they come out with a perfume version of this scent. It lasts a good amount of time but it’s so amazing that I really want it to stand out. Even with the perfume versions I spray myself a few times a day because I’m dying to smell the intro again...so I may have to spray this one a bit more.

Yamba1

@fullbottleworthy- thank you so much for contradicting me. I am capable of knowing which bottle I own. My review stands.

fullbottleworthy

Yamba1, you are reviewing a different perfume, from 2019. The 2020 version has fig, and no mango. People are going crazy for the 2019 version and it's great too but tbh both the 2019 and 2020 versions are just as nice, albeit overhyped. I am a huge Mugler fan and really enjoyed both of these scents, although I find they wear more like body spray. I don't think either are worth the insane prices that are being paid, simply because they are limited edition. They are EDT and quite weak. The initial fresh, fruity opening notes are lovely, albeit fleeting. I feel like I would need to spray this over and over all day long just to get that same feeling I get with the first application. For that reason, I returned my perfume (they advertised 2019 but sent me 2020, but I figured I would at least try to see if I wanted to keep it, and ended up returning it). I just don't think this is worth the price, but I do think it's a nice flanker if you really can't do Angel or prefer something VERY light. And VERY light it is, think BBW body spray strength. I prefer full-strength, full fat scents like the original Angel or the Taste of Fragrance Angel with the extra chocolate, etc. But if you like a fresh fruity scent and cash to burn, maybe this is for you?

SailorV

Summer Angel perfection! This is so much better than last year's Eau Croisiére, albeit similar. I found the 2019 edition a bit too sour on me due to the intense mango and grapefruit, otherwise it smelled like a blend of a summer Escada and a lighter Angel, which is so fun. This kind of does, too, but with more twists.

Eau Croisiére 2020 doesn't have a mango note listed, but I still smell it, among other fruit notes. It's sweet and tropical and not sour. The fig note adds something extra. At first it's refreshing and green, but then it morphs into something coconutty with the vanilla and praline. Almost like coconut macaroons in the drydown, but strangely it manages to still smell appropriate for summer. I wish fig was used in truly fruity blends more often, it's an interesting note that shouldn't be reserved for solinote fragrances. Of course this also has the signature patchouli any Angel flanker has, but it's subdued.

This is a juicy, mouthwatering cocktail dream in a stunning bottle. I saw it for 32€ at my local Douglas which I honestly think must have been a mistake, and while I was pondering if I needed it my fiancé bought it for me. I think I would regret it if we had left it there.

sunflowerde

Well done. I feel sexy and interesting, when I wear it. Fresh green fig dominates it, with a hint to the original. Its a good angel for summer and spring. Never to sweet, but still sexy.

saguna

I wanted the previous one and ended up getting this one. I prefer the one in warm colour bottle. Anyone in London up for a swap ? I have 50ml bottle, boxed, sprayed maybe 5-7 times

Duft Liebe

Uhhh, I do get that FIG,
and this is one of my TOP 3 perfume notes ! Today I found it for a sensational price, and now I will wear it all summer long. Fesh, upliftig and so, so figgy !
Makes me happy :)

Yamba1

I didn’t get fig at all with this one. Just juicy mango right through with the hint of praline in the drydown. This is fun, summery and gorgeous and gives 8hrs+. Even though we’re in winter here in Australia I bought it in case it disappears. Will be heavy in my summer rotation. Oh and the bottle is swoon worthy!

mellyv1973

This is a beautiful, addictive fruity yet creamy fragrance that I feel defines summer. I get coconut for the first 5 minutes, but then it turns into a sweet pineapple. The patchouli here is more soapy, not earthy so the scent is on the fresh/clean side. Long lasting, moderate sillage, nice for day or night. It's a love for me.

Zosiasbear

I just received this in the mail today. It was a blind buy based on reviews here. It is nothing like Angel which could be a good thing if you dislike Patchouli. I found Angel difficult at first but now I love it. I truly love smelling like a walking Renn Faire. Where Angel brought patchouli, funnel cakes, fruit pies, and chocolate to the table, this is a tropical drink. Cruise ships come to mind. It is a lovely, citrus-y type of fragrance and very youthful. Almost Britney Spears Circus but with slightly more staying power.

I can see myself wearing this to a summer barbecue or on a cruise...or give it to a teenager as her first "adult" scent. It smells like youth.

mhdavis

I can’t decide how I feel about this, so I’m gonna stick it in the “like” category. This smells like a sugary sweet tropical frozen cocktail that you’d get at a pool bar in a Caribbean resort. I’m not sure how they managed to capture the smell of a pina colada with fig and praline but it’s pretty darn remarkable. It smells delicious but I’m not sure I could put up with having it on me all day. Probably good for pool or beach wear so you can jump in the water and wash it off if need be.

At first I got that Angel twang but it’s gone now and I’m just getting straight up creamy tropical cocktail. It does have a definite escada vibe. Also I think I’m one of the few that prefers the 2019 Eau Croisiere.

CurlyTabby

I was debating whether to get the 2019 or 2020 version. I realize they are two completely different perfumes but I heard that the 2019 was sweeter and more tropical so I assumed I’d like it better. Boy was I wrong.

This is tropical in the best way. This is coconut done right. Juicy fig but not the gross figs that grow on trees. This is juicy figgy fruit punch. I get mango, fig, grapefruit, coconut, and all the best tropical fruits you can imagine with a delicious coconut water note as well. Absolutely delicious. Some sweet scents you wanna eat.

But this will make you want a nice cool tropical drink in the summer. Absolutely gorgeous. In my opinion it beats the 2019 by a long shot. 2019 is nice but this is stunning.

My nose can’t tolerate the original Angel. But this is nothing like the original. This is its own GEM! This is the only bottle in my whole collection, I have a backup of.

allumez

Bought this after reading these nice reviews and then i got a really good deal in a dutyfree shop and one thing led to another, you know the speech ya'll fragrance addicts use ;) However, I find it too "La vie est belle"-ish and that makes it a no-no for me.
I agree it has nothing to do with the original Angel, not even detecting the patchouli note. It does have a trace of Alien, another no-no in my agenda.
Crowd pleaser - yes. Performance - decent.

SweetBriar

Oh this is nice! Opening is very tropical- I get grapefruit, mango, fig, extremely fresh and realistic berries, and a smidge of real coconut. Dries down to a fig mango berry- none of them taking over. I cant pick out any patchouli but I know its helping all the fruits to not get too sweet. Nothing smells like fake fruits- all real and very fresh,

Grasshoppaaa

Angel Eau Croiserie is a fruity botanical. It opens with a splash of fig nectar, which has a basey nuance to it that makes it come off a bit more like fig milk. Sad to report this is only a top note, and this fragrance is not the fig-bomb many might have hoped for. The essence does well to assert an incredibly feminine presentation. For a women's fragrance, it certainly makes a great first impression.

This flanker seems like much more of a wild child—compared to the previous Eau Croiseire. The botanical elements in the backdrop provide a lush, exotic scenery—very true to the humid, Miamiscape painted in the advertisement.

A 'Welcome to the Jungle' reference, with the rough, wild child side fully reflected by the sour elements of the botanical aspects. It gives the fragrance that bitter bite that many high fashion fragrances of the 80's notoriously had.

This essence gives a feeling evocative of the outdoors—and nights out on the town. And in traditional Mugler style—the bold qualities would likely keep great company amongst the rush of the crowds.

Beneath this, there is a subtle brush of the remastered chocolate patchouli accord that shared the main feature in the first Angel Eau Croiseire. I also get a subtle comforting feeling from its company.

One of the botanical aspects here is magnolia, which is incredibly reminiscent to Kilian Love the Way You Taste. It's natural, but blanche, and not incredibly enjoyable. I do believe that this could be just a marker though, to denote if-and-when the fragrance has been over-applied.

Overall, a very 'legs up in the air' essence. Not for your typical girly-girl I would suggest. You're best off sourcing the first Angel Eau Croiseire. This a high fashion fragrance, intended for people who live lavish, lively lives. And it seems perfectly tailored for that—if I might add.

supersucrose

The opening is fruity and smells tropical, while the dry down is sweet and a bit nutty. I think the praline note is what registers as coconut in our brain.

The dry down smells similar to Ariana Grande Cloud, probably because of the praline and vanilla notes. Cloud is more "fresh", while this is more fruity and mellow.

I like it! It's pretty good, and the bottle is cool too.

coco.sarah

Smells like mangoes!! I love it, its addictive and tropical and fruity. I have never liked a perfume more.

Lilacs&Lavender

I enjoy the tart/fruity/sweet 2002 Angel Eau Croisière very much. For those who don’t enjoy sugary fragrances, this is Gourmand Lite. While the praline is noticeable from start to finish, it is muted and nicely balanced by the green woodsy notes.

For me, it opens with a sharp but pleasant citrus, reminiscent of the grapefruit in the 2019 Angel Eau Croisière, but that note isn’t officially listed. Apparently there is a note of fig milk here. I am guessing that this is really a take on the milky sap from the fig tree, but someone with more knowledge of note descriptions could help me here please. In any case, I don’t smell the coconutty vibe from fig which others have, but when I have a chance to wear it in warmer weather I might detect more subtle scents.

Angel Eau Croisière 2020 is longer lasting than its 2019 predecessor, and has decent enough projection without fear of annoying others. It remains noticeable on my skin for about 6-8 hours.

I love the Mediterranean colours in this version of the famous Angel star, but I can’t help thinking that the fragrance is a safe and fairly unoriginal release, as much as I enjoy it. It certainly doesn’t live up to the originality of the first Angel. It has more in common with a Calvin Klein Summer Escape fragrance than a typical Mugler.

The scent of Angel Eau Croisière also can’t possibly live up to the media description of it.

I didn’t think that marketing could become any more silly than Katy Perry’s Purr having a note of “Forbidden Apple”, but the 2020 version of Angel Eau Croisère has a description worthy of a paperback romance. Perhaps the copywriter had just been sacked and the work experience kid took over, started at A for Angel, and just threw in whatever came next in the alphabet.

Here are some of the words used on the official Mugler website to describe this fragrance. I couldn’t possibly make this up.

Azure
Adventure
Blue
Brazil
Copacabana
Colourful
Depths reveal a Voluptuous facet
Destinations
Donning its most beautiful party attire
Exuberant
Electric
Exoticism
Extreme
Fruity
Faithful
Freedom

Read the Mugler official website rather than tabloid news for your daily dose of hyperbole. That word starts with H. I’m giving it to them for free.

There’s more, but I need a drink now so that I can embark on “A unique journey to the edge of exuberance“.

tandem_4x4

It happened I tried the dry down first on the paper brought by colleague. In drydown it was:
- vanilla
- sugar
- salt
- coconut
Then I tried it fresh and felt:
- mango
- sour red berries
- citrus
- ambroxan
- sugar
then sort of salty vanilla.

Then I looked at the notes. I did not find at all:
- Figs
- Patchouli

It is definitely more complex and long lasting then 2019 Croisire

I bought the last bottle available in our department store. Seems sells well.

EDIT Oct 2020: I sold it as the fig note is really prominent and I do not like figs in perfumery (I love real figs though)

Sniffing my arm all the way back home, I was so but so sure that this has mango and coconut notes. And I am shocked to find out that neither exists! I definitely love it more than the last year's version, which was too much mango for me. I am still a bit at the edge, but that coconut tint is winning over me. But most importantly, that bottle... That bottle is another level. Funnily it reminds me more of northern lights than anything exotic and tropical.

This is gorgeous.

I find it to be very different than last year's version and much MUCH longer lasting.

On me this opens with a fruity blast of zesty citrusy fig. There are no grass or moss notes listed, but there's some of that here. Very fresh and outdoorsy. Like a forest. That mellows out quite a bit and you get a heavy tropical fruit and floral overtone. I got whiffs of passion fruit and fruit punch and pineapple and mango. The dry down is that familiar Angel patchouli, lighter and floating.

This is my favorite Angel flanker yet.

I loved last year's Eau Croisiere, but this year's is not as interesting to me. Even though coconut is not listed as a note, I smell strong coconuts! My daughter says she smells mangoes...it must be psychosomatic from the overall "beachy" effect. I do smell some beautiful fig. Overall this is a very, very enjoyable scent and if someone gave it to me as a gift I'd be thrilled.

Just got a sample of this from Mugler, and I Like it better than the 2019 version so far. Not as in your face, more edible and feminine. My husband likes it too.Upon my blind test, It smells like Pina colada with a slice of mango on top, creamy, aromatic, with a hint of some white flower.

GalInGlasses

I am yet another recipient of the sample Mugler mailed out, here to throw my hat in the ring to write a review. My first thought upon spraying this fragrance was that it reminds me very strongly of Dolce Garden or, as others have mentioned, an Escada. Fruit PUNCH! Sweet, sparkling, youthful. The fig is more of a suggestion, though. My husband sniffed me after I sprayed and said I smell like a pina colada, and I agree that this is much more of a pineapple and coconut macaron fragrance than fig. I only get maybe the tiniest hint of woodiness as it dries more. I haven’t worn it for a full day yet, so I can’t comment yet on performance. It’s not as original as I would expect a Mugler to be, but it’s still fun and bound to be a crowd-pleaser.

got this as a sample in a recent order. sprayed it on and within ten minutes i had to scrub it off.
nothing about this reminds me even the slightest of Angel.

on me it smells like Womanity (all.. ocean-y, and not in a good way) with a hint of what i remember original Alien smelling like (i haven't tried it again since it came out, and then i only tried it once).

ocean water (briny/salty and maybe a little bit fishy), and something bitter (worse than the oils in a grapefruit rind) and one of the green, unripe, immature pears from the tree in our backyard.

Le parfum c'est chic

I am a Mugler and fig fan. So when I read that this Eau croisière had a fig note I run to the Mugler stand to smell it. It was a love at first sniff. Fig is more present thant ''Angel''. It's hard to imagine but it's true. The mariage between Fig and Angel is a very nice combination. And the perfume bottle is surely the most beautiful Angel bottle.

KylieBooFace

It's nice, light, and fruity. A definite like. I'm into the tropical fruit, and it has a hint of Angel DNA. It is mostly fig. I'm not a huge fan of fig. There is literally nothing wrong with the fragrance, as it is strong enough, not cloying, not bitter, not sour. No flaws. However, it's missing that "something" for me (ok, I am a vanilla addict). Crosiere 2020 seems mild and inoffensive. I would say Crosiere 2019 and Angel EDT 2019 have a strong 1-2 punch of fruit and praline-patchouli. I love the 2019s even though I am not a huge patchouli fan.

This fragrance is like an oatmeal raisin cookie-- tasty and better than nothing, but you still would prefer the chocolate chip variety (sweeter fare like Crosiere 2019 and Angel EDT 2019). I do like the lighter, fruitier direction of the Angel fragrances. Angel EDP is pretty but sadly gets too earthy on me (same with Muse EDP). As with any Mugler, try before you buy!

ETA: I bought it for the bottle and because it may be discontinued. The fig and magnolia are nice, with a strong vanilla, slightly woody base. For an EDT, this packs a punch. Don't overspray :)

Lighter and less sweet than last years version which was like syrupy mangoes and patchouli. This starts out with a tartness and a fig that almost smells green and woody. As it develops you get the familiar praline and patchouli coming in. The sweetness with the fig note and floral gives off a sort of coconut watery smell. I thought this was nice until I put it side by side with 2019 version and this one just doesn’t stand out. I like the lightness of it so it can be worn in warm months.

Not as unique as last year. Not as unique as expected. But definitely like able and wearable

Mugler sent me a sample of this the other day.

The first blast is reminiscent of Angel, but it only lasts a few minutes. I actually don't get much fig in this at all. The patchouli is pretty strong on my skin though. I also smell the magnolia and a tiny bit of praline.

Honestly, I prefer the 2019 version better. It smelled like it had more personality. This version is just ok to me, and I'm a big Mugler fan. I'll have to comment later on longevity and sillage. So far, I'm a little underwhelmed by this version.

Avian

I smell a mouth-watering heap of coconut and mango, with some bright, citric, passionfruit early on. It reminds me of Angel Muse EDT's topnotes. However, the drydown loses the acidity and the fruits get a bit muddled. It does bring out a lovely, fruity, waxy frangipani flower. Very tropical, very rich; does not smell watery or pale. I smell a lot of "vanilla orchid" type vanilla too, especially in the drydown. What I do not smell is fig or praline. There is nothing green or chocolatey here. I suppose whatever they are using in the formula to replicate magnolia is coming off as frangipani to me.

Overall, Croisiere is a well done and certainly edible fruity-floral-in-paradise. However, it is completely divorced of what made Mugler special in the first place. I do think it would make a great perfume for girls or women who are new to perfumes and want a designer scent that is done nicely and is fairly versatile. But for hardcore Mugler fans or frag-heads that crave something more unique, Croisiere is a disappointment. If you want a tropical fruit with a true Mugler twist, then Angel Muse EDT is a perfect choice.

This is very pleasant, but not Mugler's style at all. Perhaps it really is the impending Lorealization of the house. Croisiere would be amazing if it has a true Angel patchouli in it, but as it is right now, it smells like a husk of the original EDP's lush fruit bowl.

Received a sample in the mail. It immediately smells tropical and coconut, fig comes through pretty early. It's a pretty but not a special fragrance. You can get a VS or an Escada perfume from their summer collection that smells the same. It smells young to me and sadly it's a hard pass.

Received a sample in the mail and am instantly reminded of the scent an old layered candle gave off when fig leaf scented wax and tuberose scented wax combined. I searched in shops and online for that candle for ages, but as I initially purchased off a clearance shelf I‘ve been out of luck with repurchasing. If this sample holds up on my skin I will be purchasing multiple bottles so as not not be similarly stuck in the future!

Update: Purchased one bottle and set a calendar event to remind me to repurchase more before the years end— which feels ages away but will likely be here before I remember to rebuy!

Perfumedsecrets

Mugler is mailing out samples and I received one in the mail. Ripe juicy figs! It reminds of a 90’s release from Escada. I don’t smell Angel in this at all. What I smell is a linear fruit cocktail by a beach. Magnolia is definitely in there too.

Radchick

I feel like these annual releases of Angel flankers are starting to smell like the Escada fruity summer releases, and look like them, with their multicoloured bottles. Similar price point too. I wonder if Mugler could possibly be copying Escada. This 2020 edition smells like pure pineapple on me, with perhaps the slightest suggestion of soap, but you really have to look for it. I am not detecting fig, patchouli or vanilla, or any of the notes listed here actually. This is basically pineapple juice on me. I’ll pass on this one because it smells nothing like Angel and I already have enough Escadas.

"Eau Croissant" - haha, thanks for the giggles!
It has to reach Europe yet, I can't wait to test it. I love figs and the bottle is so beautiful, I am 95% certain I will purchase it, unless it's too heavy or cloying.

lmwimsatt

Wow that had to be the most beautiful bottle I've ever seen! It's too bad I dont like smelling like figs

kristoferiscariot

Fig, fig, fig!!! Amazing.

jovejove

Smells fruity, but I don’t associate it with fig in any sense. You get a little bit of a sweetness, not sure if it’s the fruit or the vanilla, but I don’t smell any praline or patchouli. Develops more into a fruity floral from the magnolia with the fig. Reminds me of something you’d see from Escada in the opening, but then dries to a cousin of Mon Paris in style, just not as dusty powdery. I presume this is the first of the L’Oreals developed. Will double check tomorrow.

eloisegirl

That bottle is talking to me (saying "Buy me!) and that fig note sounds mighty intriguing, as well. I have the 2019 Eau Croisiere and it is a great summer scent.

heeven

I must be hungry because every time I read the name of the fragrance I read "Eau Croissant"
