Not for me but this is an inoffensive daily wear fragrance. Chic linear powdery white flowers, that’s what most people would call "old schooled scent", but in my opinion it just smells like a chic madame.
She wears Chanel and lives in the south of France. This scent exhudes old money and class.

karinavi

somewhere in here theres a urine-like quality for the first 30 mins or so. not very pleasant. after that, it's very bright, airy, and a bit juicy from the citrus. very easy reach for something sophisticated, feminine, and not too loud.

pink gallery gal

I just adore its airy light quality. I feel so beautiful when I wear this. To me this is perfectly blended. It feels complex and sophisticated with surprising longevity. For me it’s unique and perfection. It’s perfect for spring but also felt comforting in the colder days. This has become my signature scent recently. Though I still hold gentle fluidity gold as my most precious possession.

nichoa99

Smooth, bright, fresh, floral, citrus, unique, resinous, a little pine-y. Very pretty. reminds me a little bit of Calyx Prescriptives in the base. It is blended so well, as with all MFK perfumes. I like the hair-salon reference, it really does have that vibe.

alphairone

I was intrigued by Kurkdjian's decision to showcase Amyris balsamifera, a warm, woody, balsamic oil that has often been used to cut sandalwood oil. I experimented with it a number of times when studying perfume making and found it to be a great, economic "blender" for wood and resinous accords, and thought it showed potential as a centerpiece in perfume compositions.

In Amyris Femme, I cannot say with confidence that this was actually achieved. I don't doubt its here, but perhaps its so much of a "blender" here that it completely "blends in," hidden in a generic woody-floral-musky composition that is hopelessly commercial and while pleasant enough and "pretty," is yawn-inducing. The citrus that opens it is of the most interest, and even so, it's a bit shallow, almost like a hydrating toner, and this slips into a sallow floral and vague blond wood oblivion.

BlackberryCollins53

I like this scent. It’s gives strong hair salon vibes. Fresh, clean, shampoo-escue and the smell of hairdryers.

“The most elegant people are those who seem to make no effort to take care of their appearance.” - Giorgio Armani-
Oh well, dear King Georgio , I couldn't agree more.
Elegance is something innate, you either have it or you don't, almost impossible to learn, it runs through your veins.
Amyris is a fragrance that, without any effort, makes you extremely elegant.
The Iris, in this case green, fresh, surrounded by the scent of Amyris and citrus notes, are the ingredients of this splendid creation.
Simple and refined, a passepartout to always appear classy.
On the other hand, the nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurdjian, who, well, has elegance in his blood.
“The Lady with an Ermine” painted by Leonardo Da Vinci, where the enchanting Cecilia Gallerani in her simplicity is full of elegance.

Loulou103

Very nice simple, elegant, good for every day. Fast becoming one of my favourites wasn't expecting that as usually wear Silk Mood and Satin Mood. It's lovely though.

Luvnme08

This scent is the love of my life!

bwood1303

I bought this perfume over a year ago and I absolutely adore it, definitely buying another bottle soon! It has a delicate scent, woody and a slight tinge of floral, but the citrus that comes through in it is what I love. I never really liked sweet scented perfume, so this one suited me so well, and I don't believe I've come across a perfume that smells anywhere similar, I can't recommend this enough! It is a steep price but for what you get, I say it is 100% worth it :)

I bought a MFP sample set. Today I'm sampling Amyris. A beautiful, gentle floral. Absolutely love the citrus opening. I typically stay away from floral dominant fragrance as they're not my cup of tea and sting my sinuses. Jasmin 17 from Le Labo was the first floral dominant perfume I loved enough to buy a bottle. I only wear it in spring but I just adore it when I reach for it. I can see myself reaching for this occasionally in spring. I look forward to resampling this in a few months.

Enrium

Amyris Femme is a bright, woody-musky floral, nothing too unusual despite its exotic notes, but is nicely put-together and has surprisingly good performance. Amyris is a balsamic, green-tinged amber note that I don't encounter too frequently in perfumery, but it is (aptly) prominent here. Its freshness is enhanced by the citrus notes of the opening, paving the way to the floral heart. As is the case with a lot of MFK scents, it is pretty synthetic in the base, but this never seems to take from the composition as a whole.

AF opens with a bright citrus accord, led by orange initially, but the lemon flower quickly becomes dominant. This is a note I haven't encountered too frequently, but it makes for a lovely, rounded way to include lemon, a notoriously sharp and polarising note. It also makes for a seamless segue to the powdery florals. There isn't as much iris as I'd like, but it contributes to the powdery floral heart. There is an aromatic, slightly green undertone to this scent, perhaps due to the amyris. It is also quite musky, emerging from the early stages. There is a prominent woody accord in the base, melding well with the amber. It becomes a musky, woody scent as it fades with aromatic florals remaining until final fade. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. It is a feminine spring/summer day scent.

AF is very noughties in style, a woody-floral-musk in the manner of Marc Jacobs Daisy, which makes sense given its time of release. It is well-blended throughout, good-quality and pleasant, but isn't particularly special and feels a little dated to me, and reminds me of shampoo. A youthful feminine scent that is sweet yet fresh, it will appeal to plenty, but is not my thing. 3/5.

LOST_HORIZON

Amyris Femme is such a tender girl, so human. Don't try to confront her, because she will only know what to give you good energy.
What a good feeling of the lemon flower with the iris and the amyris resin, what a well balanced and combined set, hey, how good it smells! If you are looking for a woody floral that is not too boring floral or that is not too dense a resinous woody: here you have this fragrance that, more than a decade after its release on the market, remains absolutely pristine and modern.
Remember, Amyris is all kindness and love, do not try to get angry with her or stifle her existence, she only knows how to welcome you with open arms.
Divine-feminine for any time of the year

EternalLight

I swear there’s an Avon perfume that was popular in the late 90’s-00’s that smelled just like this!

SaraZigova

I like it so much!

olik

My friend bought this perfume for me as a surprise gift and I was really surprised that I absolutely love the scent...Iris and lemon blossom with vetiver create a very smooth airy and sensual scent on my skin...people lean forward to smell and invade your personal space scent lol...I received a lot of compliment from girls and guys, the smell is not heavy but not light, its fresh but not flowery fresh..... its a very sexy warm smell on my skin..lasts around 5-6 hours .....definitely one of my new favorites...

slxtra

I bought a bundle of niche samples and this one was one of them. Very citrusy at the top, dry down reminds me of Nivea cream from 30 years ago.. Its ok I guess but nothing special to me especially at this price

janevee

I liked this a lot at first and I have a travel size but I don’t think it’s unique enough to justify the price point. It smells terrific but after a while I tire of it as it turns into another unmemorable floral scent.

Karina8

Lovely strong withe flower perfume classy and sophisticated.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

I really like the opening of the sweet and slightly indolic lemon blossom and the fresh orange, but this scent starts to turn south for me after that.

I don't think that I like the smell of amyris and it is mainly what I smell from here on out. I smell some powdery iris too which I do like, but it isn't that prominent to me personally or I'd probably like this more. It's just too balsamic and citrusy at this stage for me and makes me think of wood cleaner, like others on this page have already said.

And speaking of wood, the base smells super woody and dusty from the vetiver and makes me think of wooden floors in an old house. The musk sort of just adds to this old smell and the amber makes everything even more intense and overpowering.

I'd call this a fairly strong fragrance for sure. Amyris Femme also lasted almost 11 hours on me, with it turning into a skin scent at the 10 hours mark. To me this is more of a unisex perfume than a perfume for women and I'd say that there is something even almost masculine about it. Unlike others on here, I feel like this is more of a night time fragrance and something you'd wear in either the fall or the winter if you were so inclined.

I'm not inclined to wear this at all though and I'd only give this fragrance a 5/10.

Imaginary_Around

Smells like a very clean mid 30s woman who studied art history and now is a SAHM in a mc mansion and buys antiques to fill the long days.

(It really does smell like a classy, clean mother)

smithaker

You know how some scents evoke a specific memory? For me, this one evokes the memory of being awakened early on Saturday mornings for chores, including polishing oak furniture with lemon pledge.....and not in a good way. It does develop nicely in the dry down but that period of "lemon pledge" lasts too long for my liking. The very same notes will surely make others fall in love, and I get it. This one's just not for me.

1967GrandPrix

I am strait, 63 yo male,,,and I dont care if it says feminine, I really like it... so there.. I got it as a sample from a larger purchase from Kurkdjian,, and now I wish I had bought this,,

Ground hound

The top 5 of the whole MFK range, next to their signature perfumes. Amyris Femme is really underrated.

Slightly bitter resin and lemon with an unexpected strong green tea note just suddenly dive into super feminine strawberry, powdery, floral sweetness.
(Really reminded me of Miss Dior Cherie with same bitter start of resin and a borderline gourmand sweet finish of strawberry.)
I think there are many notes not listed above, that are present in this.
Berry-sweet, floral, powdery, feminine but with the ever present green tea/lemon leaf cold note on the background.
Overall- absolutely stunning.

Lykopa

Clean florals, with that signature mfk white musk and citrus combo. Very similar to the aqua line, and settles into a nice amyris scent. Perfect for brunch or a day you want to feel clean.

10072001a

I’m in love with this fragrance! This is my signature scent it’s like you just had a shower with an expensive body wash , slapped some body cream and that’s it. It’s so feminine , clean, sophisticated really elegant!

Ps: tried coco mademoiselle and it’s nothing like this. This one smells gorgeous! So ethereal and angelic!

dickhard

Expensive sex in the woods. Or, it's like fucking in a classy ski lodge, in the winter, with the windows open. And there's a hot tub. Upbeat, sparkly, sunny. Mountains and woods. And then after sex you take a shower and use the nicest soap, way nicer than you have at home.

Vellocet

Upon first spray I loved it, but then I only got heavy yellow florals?! Which aren’t even listed. I did notice the iris though. It leans vintage. And it reminds me a lot of my mom’s favourite perfume Poeme by Lancome. Don’t hate me :)

greenglama

Reminds me of Chacharel's AMOR AMOR

SalinasL

Definitely reminds me of something. The orange comes through quite strongly—like a slightly quirky Hermes type of orange (maybe it’s reminding me of Sur La Nil?). It has a hint of that humid equatorial quality but also a boreal forest one due to the amyris. Like if oranges grew on pine trees in north Africa. To me it’s a pleasant little citrus scent, linear and a bit simple (maybe it’s Moschino’s I Love Love?). My skin needs a bit more iris and vetiver I think.

ievaid

starts as an unqualifiable lemon floral, very feminine and clean, almost like micellar water or toner, with a luminous touch of iris and violet, and something else that smells rounded and balsamic which i assume is the amyris (new note to my nose). it's really hard to pick any of these notes individually, though: the lemon blossom lays hazily over everything and blurs the contours of the scent into seamlessness.

amyris femme smells classic, yet somehow unlike other fragrances: it is airy, very pretty, well-crafted - almost too well-crafted. this is a perfume for people who don't like perfume and who wish they could just smell abstractly good. (unless they don't enjoy lemon, in which case, avoid.) it gets progressively less unique as the top notes evaporate, though. the musk base is fairly generic for something that costs 175€ a pop, and i don't really enjoy it compared to the floaty top notes. it's all a little too prim and vague for me.

Jazz10!

Ik there’s none in it but it reminds me of Jasmine. An airy, powdery jasmine. Very floral and mature, but pleasant and clean. I like it 🤍

carrico1986

Wow! What a unique scent! This is definitely the most unique I own. At first spray I was horrified it smelled like lemon pledge but it quickly quieted down to a beautiful "antique" scent. Lol, I don't know how else to describe this scent. Antique in a very expensive, rare way. It almost reminds me of orange and yellow jewels dripping in the sun---if that had a scent.

astralmonad870

This smells nothing like Coco Mademoiselle, which I also have. The lemon blossom has its own distinct indolic smell that is slightly vintage, and the drydown smells like lemon, with absolutely no hint of iris. But it is one of the most freshest and purest floral scents I have. CM is more watery and fresh with no indole but honestly a bit boring compared to this. I actually stopped myself from getting Amyris Femme after seeing people say it was just like CM, and I totally missed out for a bit! 😤

Malaya26

Wear this on a cold day! This smells like a fizzy newky riped peach or apricot. It has a slight boozyness to it like a champagne. Its doesnt perform well in the summer but on a cold autumn or winter’s day, this one is perfect.

chosesvert

first impressions: Juicy and floral. I found it a tad sweet for the first half, I didn't get much wood at all. The afternoon/evening cousin to petit matin. Like all of Maison Francis Kurkdjian it's almost too well-crafted, it leaves me a little bored.

Toni-Tony-Tone

I am fairly confident that my nose is broken. Just blind-bought this based on the rave reviews from everyone else, and all I'm getting is Lemon Pledge... I'll need to advance my layering game to make this one work for me. Then again, I haven't given it much of a try. I'll continue to test it out and hope for the best. These are expensive perfumes to not love. The fragrance is okay, but I'm not accustomed to smelling like a cleaning product.

Edit: I stand corrected. I get the hype. This is definitely growing on me. Very subtle but pretty.

Mez0Nez

It reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle (Chanel) without patchouli, no ethyl maltol, and a less harsh fruity note... I like this really.

boygirl

I always end up more interested in the tiny gift samples i get when i buy a perfume from someone. This being one of them. Such a mature and refined yet still feminine scent. Smells woodsy and balsamic resiny but also flowery and lemony. It's not beast mode but for almost 300$ i wish it was so i would not have to reapply and use up my tiny dabber sample lol

ETA i eventually got the same burnt medicinal scent that i get from BR540 and all the dupes. So sad that it turns that way on my skin bc i want the candy smell that everyone else gets

Jeany

I don’t know what it is. I sprayed this perfume in the store - liked it enough to buy it but somehow as it progresses throughout the day it gives me a headache
Willing to trade full bottle of this perfume for something else. Message me!

RottigrlNYC

I love this one so much that I bought a backup. It’s beautifully feminine. But now that my perfume collection has grown to hundreds of bottles, I realize I’m never gonna even finish my first bottle. So I’m selling my back up. If u want it, message me.

imegaphone

This sits very close to the skin. It's elegant, but unoriginal- it smells like others have mentioned, like a mix of Allure and Coco Mademoiselle. Not full bottle worthy for me, I would rather have two Chanel bottles. I really don't like when niche houses "dupe" designer fragrances, I just don't understand the point. If I'd smell this on someone else I'd think they are wearing a cheaper clone because it's so soft!

demonpuff

Not sure if I’m the only one, but this reads like a refined, perfume-y, grape candy. Definitely smells nice but overall not for me.

Icarel

I can feel the DNA of Chanel in this perfume and its Extrait version. Between Allure and Coco Mademoiselle. A sort of Coco Madame or Allure de Mademoiselle. Remarkably interesting.

silverbellshellsmell

It's nice, it's fine, but I'm not paying $250 for "fine"

Ese369

Literally smells like miscellar water😭

Noha8

Amazing scent for spring. Orange-floral scent with some light transparent touch of Violet, as I get, on a background of iris and Musk.
The point of beauty in this perfume is the purity. It looks like a peice of crystal; 3D, clean, transparent and bright.
Today I'm layering it with Feminin Pluriel by MFK, which gives it some sweetness for mood change.

Darkrain91

Jw do you get nose blind with this scent????? I used to smell it b4 but now I can't really smell it. Or the longevity is just bad???

saho93

I loved the opening, gorgeous floral. However, in a few minutes and onward, it just stayed this green, herbal, grassy note, which I am not a fan of. I am not sure why I get such a huge persistent herbal note. But I wish it stayed in the opening notes. The end notes seem to make it more unisex than female.

I tried layering something soft—light amber musk—and it improved it. But then this just becomes something else.
Unfortunate because the opening notes are so lovely.

I am not a fan of Baccarat Rouge 540, but I find BR540 to be better than this. Not a fair comparison, I realize, but Amyris is a big letdown.

Malinkabby

idk how it keeps happening that the perfumes i care least about, only receive as an extra sample become my favourite. Smells like the ultra expensive hair shampoo at the hair salon but more citrusy and fresh, totally my kind of scent i just want to bathe in this omfg

sunnyviolets

Think of the nicest, most exquisite hand cream you've ever smelled. It'll probably give you a good idea of what this smells like. Lasts surprisingly well. Incredibly smooth. Though it is somewhat derivative of something from Dior, Dolce & Gabbana or another major designer house, it's still a white floral with a lot of sophistication.

For some reason I imagine a chic, wise & beautiful photographer with her hair with streaks of gray in it clipped up, wearing this to an outdoor haute couture shoot somewhere on the cape or the Hamptons.

malikun

I tested this scent without any expectations, did not even know what amyris is, but was pleasantly surprised. This is such a clean and feminine scent, and not boring at all ! I would describe it exactly as “elevating”. Would love to purchase this one day

Andreea17

This unique scent smells exactly like the french woman looks like… flirty, yet sensual…bright and powerful with a little bit of mistery. Is a very delicate and refreshing type of scent. Also, I find it similar to how a fairy smells like in my childhood stories.

Miperfumeadventure

Okay so first 20min of this and it smell like J’ador by Dior or Coco Mademoisselle. I’m not a hater nor a big fan… it gave me a little headache. But after that, I’m smelling very refreshing citrus on my skin which is super stunning.

eaudeaesthetic

Underratedly beautiful, lovely but still Intoxicating feminine scent, citrusy floral with woody base.i imagine woman wearing pants suits in pastel color. If u love feminine flowery scent,u should get this into your collection. MFK is definitely one of the best niche house perfumerie

roanyoke

Surprised no one has mentioned the soapy Chanel no.5 DNA in this. I think this scent is very beautiful even though it is not very unique for the price. Soapy, powdery florals, and light sparkling citrus. Not worth the buy though, you could recreate this scent using other perfumes and good hygiene!

la_calonetta

This is a fragrance I've been searching for for years. It reminds me of something my aunt wore in the 90s; it's a classic, gorgeous, elegant floral. It can be worn anywhere and every day, though it most fits a breezy summer afternoon. The woodsiness and citrus dominate early on, but after a while it becomes a creamy, sweet, woodsy dream. The sillage and longevity are impressive without being oppressive. Such a lovely counterpoint to all the super-sweet scents around.

EmpressVision

Beautiful, elegant & simple daytime scent for spring & summer. Woody & floral love. However, per the MFK website, there is no California orange note. Only iris, amyris, lemon blossom, vetiver & "musky amber". Will eventually treat myself to this & add to my spring/summer frags. Lotsa lotsa like. Borderline love.

Update: Disappointed because this has no longevity. Within 3 hours it became a skin scent on me that didn't endure 🥺😢

AkaNeri

On me it's wood and freshly cut grass.... Very refined, pretty long lasting.

EllenaDsk

Amyris Femme reminds me of some elevated combination of D&G The One for Her and Dior J'Adore. It's the same white and yellow flowers concept, but more balmy. It's fresh but also heavy at the same time. I don't even know how is that possible. Yet, the drydown is to die for even though the opening can be familiar for those who used some of the mentioned fragrances!

ceepdeep

Gorgeously feminine and dainty, seems like almost something a real life Snow White would wear! Fresh, floral, and elevated. I think this would be good year round, for any occasion, day or night. I am not sure if I love it enough to buy a FB, I think I could achieve the same vibe with something less expensive, but nothing will ever live up to the longevity.

Sniffathon

Just delightful and so easy to wear. Nothing complicated or challenging, not too astringent and citrusy, hardly classifiable as woody. Just beautiful balsamic-y aromatic goodness. All kinds of elegant and unobtrusive, would suit everyday wear in warmer weather. If it wasn’t for the price I’d purchase this in a heartbeat.

Acidula

It's a strong, vintage fragrance for classy women. Which I'm not, lol. But I wore it in court when I sued my ex boss and I won, so good memories

Jeany

Nice fragrance but smell it on your skin before purchasing. This perfume gave me a headache. I am willing to swap this for Gentle fluidity Gold or A La Rose Eau de parfum. Reach out to me.

laura710

A beautiful citrusy and flowery perfume. I mostly smell orange, iris and musk. I am not familiar with amyris unfortunately. It smells very classy, feminine and sophisticated.

h0p3wor1d

this is such an elegant, feminine and pretty scent
i usually lean to sweet vanillic fragrances and away from citruses
this is so different but wow i kinda like this
but...
it's not for me

StopHammertime

Summer in France, sitting at a picnic table by a field of grass and flowers, sipping champagne. Wearing diamond stud earrings and a flowing maxi dress that trails in the wind. That is what this smells like. Sparkling, blooming, fresh, effervescent, beautiful.

iszzieanna

Very fresh, green and creamy Iris/floral scent. The waxy feeling goes away and leaves woods

Vicschmidtscents

Zesty tart orange with pink flowers. Not too sweet, and not too loud. Amyris Femme is feminine, classy, and somewhat casual. I picture myself on an afternoon picnic date in Paris in July....

I'd wear this in hot weather, day-date, to work, or as a signature scent. My husband absolutely loves this one too.

Ambien_x

I was not expecting to love this as much as I did! It’s a very pretty scent. It reads as a well-blended white floral with a good balance of sweetness and woodiness upon first spray. After 30 mins to 1 hour, the wood and musk come through more strongly, and I smell like my skin is just naturally sweet. It’s still detectable within arm’s length after 4-5 hours for me - by then, it smells very much like the subtle scent of flowers that have been in a room for a while. I’ve worn this to the office during the day and to formal evening do’s. This is a plus for me - I’m not in the habit of reserving certain perfumes for special occasions; I like versatile workhorses. I find it interesting because the way I feel about it changes as I use it. There are even some days I find it rather nauseating, and some days where I can’t help but go back for another sniff. I rotate this with Dior’s J’adore, Penhaligon’s The Favourite, Lush’s Dirty and Marc Jacobs’ Daisy. I have been using a sample of the Extrait, which I am thinking of adding to my collection too.

tanny_ups

This is probably the best MFK perfume. It smells divine and boojie! I get so many compliments when I wear this fragrance!! This will be in my collection forever. Longevity is around 8 hours (overspray) and the silage is moderate but it’s still a compliment getter !

Bettybotox

Like @solarpunk, I'm not really a citrus person either but damn if I don't love this. It's beautiful. Citrus but not overly so. The use of lemon blossom and amyris as opposed to straight up lemon zest was a stroke of genius. There is no doubt Francis Kurkdjian has a great nose. This is a triumph for me. Love the dry down too. Iris, musk, amber and vetiver is an intoxicating mix. I get about 6-8 hours wear before it's gone depending on the weather. Lasts the longest in the cold.

Space_Carnation

Does not land well on me. Smells like stinky, metallic, rotted flowers. Not pleasant in any way. Had to scrub it off.

solarpunk

i actually wouldn't consider myself a citrus person, or even a florals person (except iris). but i love this! the citruses are less 'lifelike' and more herbal, which combined with the amyris, gives the impression of a honey lemon eucalyptus drop (in like the best way possible). the iris is powdery and lovely and the amber adds warmth. this has to be one of my most feminine perfumes, and it's strong and long lasting! it's very 'pretty' smelling.

a pretty, airy, iris and honey lemon eucy drop. i've layered this with Demeter Amber to bring out some more warmth, but it's not necessary. i have a feeling this perfume actually doesn't suit me, but i choose to be in denial because it's so beautiful.

erika.isme.98

This is pretty. I get why it's popular.

Myriam Elé

Being a frag enthusiast, I have a big collection of perfumes and quite many samples. I recently moved from U.S. to EU and of course had to carefully pack my collection. All perfumes survived the move, however a little tester vial leaked in a bag where I had more than 20 testers..maybe more. It smelt fantastic. I started smelling all tester vials one by one to find which one it was, and it felt like it was none of them. When I realized it must have been the Amyris femme tester I had overlooked, as I didn't like it the first time I tried, I was so happy. I was happy because I finally found my favourite perfume from MFK, a brand which I always appreciated but having smelt all of their offerings, nothing really clicked with me. My bottle is on the way, while I finish whatever is left from the tester.
It is a powerful (like all perfumes from the house) fizzy, radiant scent that I prefer to wear in daylight. I do not think I would wear any MFK in an office, due to how powerful they are..maybe the Aquas. But AF almost feels like emitting a burst of citrusy light, it is warm yet fresh, I guess from the combo of woods and citruces.. Test on skin more than once to judge this gem. The only other perfume that gives me this feeling without being similar is an old bottle ('00s, well-preserved) of Pleasures, by Estée Lauder, which I love cause it reminds me of my mother.

*Edit* The above comment was for Ammyris femme extrait, which if far more potent, long-lasting and radiant than the edp. I have both as i bought edp thinking it was the one I loved, I wear the edp to work, but the magic happens with the extrait. I almost feel the edp performs like a edt.

AlinkaSun

This scent of definitely for citrus lovers. At first spritz, citrus is overpowering. Almost all I feel is orange and lemon. But as several minutes pass by, sharp citrus notes softens up and scent is smoothed with iris and pear note. This scent overall is very luminous, bright and has sparkling champagne feeling to it. And I appreciate this as one who lives in desert climate. This perfumes performs excellent in extreme heat. It lasts over 8 hours on me. Projects within arm length. As it dries down we arrive closer to musky/amyris base. I find musk to be most prominent and that’s what makes this scent a “clean smelling”.
This is very elegant well blended option for a day time scent, signature scent or office wear. It is very likable and not over complicated.

Jazz10!

This perfume smells good. I think it’s a very likable scent.
It smells too familiar; ALMOST identical to Coco “Mademoiselle”. If you were to layer that with Valentino “Donna”, I feel like you would end up with MFK “Amyris Femme”.
With that being said, the scent is way too underwhelming for the price.
Out of all of the MFKs I’ve tested, this one is the most… safest? The others have some more originality.
I don’t hate her at all 💕 but you can definitely find a dupe. Unless you love labels and neeeed that niche bottle sitting in your collection lol

I got this by mistake. I intended to order the Homme Eau de Toilette. To me this smells like a very light vintage fragrance. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. For a young girl with a sense of fashion and adventure. The scent profile seems to be accurate. It does not smell like cheap baby wipes as someone said. I'm learning how some people in the fragrance world are pretty mean, arrogant, and condescending. I have a lot of niche interests, but I haven't encountered this level of disregard for someone else's creation anywhere else. I'm not sure I would weigh these people's opinion. This fragrance does have an old time scent as though it would go with a tea gown or a dance around the May pole perhaps. More Whinny the Pooh and less Picnic at Hanging Rock. It may seem like a cheaper perfume at first but grows with the dry down. I wouldn't say it was unisex - unless your Louis de Pointe du Lac.

A_Ferrera

Incredibly luminous, woody, citric, and sparkling ✨

Opens like a true blooming cabbage rose after a heavy rainfall then turns into this powdery sweet pea/iris/amyris - is so mouth watering in combination with the lemon blossom and pear, perfect for spring and humid summers as the white musk brings everything together. It is simply beautiful, emphasise on simply.

Amyris femme is undoubtedly refined and elegant, lasting power is immense for a spring time fragrance and the same with its projection. On my skin it comes across as complex but not complicated, simple but not generic, youthful but not juvenile...I would consider this very unisex.

I also sampled 724, and it falls short of everything when compared to this!

Anabanana08

I agree with comment below that says it smells like a scented magazine page. I think it's a cross between scented magazine page and an air freshener.

Penhaligoons

I cant believe I haven't seen anyone else make the comparison to Coco Mad yet.
To me they are extremely similar, just a citrusy floral- only this one is without the patchouli bomb.
Very clean and fresh, so feminine! I like it, just doesn't have the impressive staying power as most of the MFK line.

kyraberries

Hear me out. This smells like my late grandpa's hair. A mix of pomade, whatever cologne he was wearing, cigarette smoke, and late afternoons. Definitely grew to love the woodiness and subtle tanginess of this perfume. I can't imagine wearing this by itself at all because it just makes me remember my grandpa. He was the best grandfather anyone could ever have.

Okay, let's leave Gramps behind and lemme segue into a layering suggestion. Layer this with Tom Ford's Lost Cherry (with Amyris Femme as the base) and you get the SEXIEST, MOST SEDUCTIVE, FUCK-ME scent ever. When I smelled this concoction, I imagined a woman in lingerie holding a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of brandy in the other. She wants to fuck and be fucked. Hard. All night long. It makes me cringe to imagine myself as that woman but ooooooh it is so empowering to feel like one. This is the power of scent, people!

Shui-Xian

Opening is very fizzy, like a baby champagne: very sweet, syntetic and pink, despite the citrus.
Then it becomes more dry and bitter. Flowery middle tones turn this fragrance in different mood: more earthy and cloying, still very sweet. Amyris and vetiver makes it warm, ambra quite seductive, but it is lazy and sleepy.
I don' t say it is not pretty fragrance but personally I found it bambi-eyed, without dynamics or spirit.
Suitable for evenings, I can't imagine it for active days...

Sillage strong, longevity very good.

SensitiveRecluse

This is a woody, resinous fragrance with a sharp, bright opening. On paper it smells more aromatic because the resin is reminiscent of eucalyptus. However, on skin, this is much woodier. I personally don't love it because it reminds me of how I remember perfumes smelling when I was a kid. Projects like crazy, but too perfume-y for my taste. I think this is an evening fragrance-- something you would smell on a confident woman at a trendy wine bar.

I heard about this fragrance from that viral tweet. But I'll be honest, from the tweet I expected this would be sweeter and not so challenging. This is why you sample before you buy!

KarinaSo

Reminds me of a cheap barbie shampoo or kids perfume from 90s, scented magazine page, or when you wash barbies head with shampoo and it doesn't dry out for a week because water went into holes in barbies head and went bad there and you try to hide that stench with anything you have as a <10 year old girl 😀

hollandbri

I don’t care how much this costs it will ALWAYS have a place in my collection. Elegant, cheery, luxe signature scent. Can be worn anytime of the year and in any type of weather.

danygurl06

This fragrance was suggested to me when I was looking for fragrances that smelled like creamy lotion. Based off of that goal, I was not impressed. It smells floral with hints of sweet soap. So I moved on and forgot about it.

After putting my sample away for several months, I have finally returned to it. This is not an unusual fragrance. One might say it smells common, but it does smell good. You can totally say this smells like a toiletry item, but one of quality. It reminds me of something my grand mom would have that comes in a set with a matching body powder. However, I never felt my grandmother wore what I would consider the typical mature woman scent profile. If she were alive today, I know she would love this. I would classify this as a daily elegant or sophisticated fragrance.

It smells floral and sweet. It sometimes reminds me of magnolia scented soap but its much softer/creamy and sweater than that. The iris used reminds me of fragrances with orris. Feminine Plural and Lelabo Iris 39 are iris based but come across as a brighter soapy fragrance. This also isn't a powdery iris like Prada Infusion d'Iris.

I think it boils down to body chemistry with this one. I hate most citrus, berry and rhubarb top note fragrances on me. They smell like house hold cleaning products or super sharp on my skin. However, sourish/citrus notes like orange and saffron (pickle lol) work well with me. Patchouli stinks on me while vetiver smells nice. So I see how some can say this smells cheap, like cleaning product or whatever. I just don't experience that.

When I have worn this around family (because I don't go anywhere) they always comment that it smells good. My nieces will tell me that in a heartbeat with this one and they usually don't comment on fragrance without prompting them. I usually have to beg my mom to test fragrances. With this one she smelled it on me when passing by instead of me forcing her to sniff it. Each time I've worn it she asked me what is is. Eventually, she even wanted to use it for herself. That says a lot.

I have scent sensitivities towards brighter fragrances. They can smell good but give me headaches and sometimes even make me throw up. This fragrance does not trigger that at all.

Also, I can easily tell that this is a MFK fragrance because his products easily project when I wear them. His perfumes sing on my skin and others can hear it each and every time. I can spray one single pump of a sample bottle on the crook of my arm and people can smell me as I walk by for the next couple of hours. So obviously his products are of quality.

Overall, its a nice fragrance. It smells like something that should be a fragranced toiletry item that gently lingers on the skin as a skin scent. Somehow on my skin, it is many octaves higher than that. Purchase it if you want an easy and sophisticated daily driver.

Gioia's secret

I think this is the only fragrance from MFK samples that I have ordered which I like from the beginning to the end. I especially like this scent on my skin it reminds me Elixir des Merveilles by Hermes. When I spray it on my clothes it doesn’t smell that good as on skin. Sillage is intimate, which for this price is very disappointing.
Update: the more I try my sample the more I fell in love! Sillage is much better than I thought I think it just suits me so well, so I don’t feel it on me after some time

cait_lynne

I want to love this one so much, but I saw someone describe it as smelling very perfumey and now I just can’t get it out of my head. To me the notes are so blended together that it’s hard to pick any out individually, and overall it just gives a girly perfume vibe but not in a cool way. I feel like the iris makes it feel a bit dated. I would describe the scent as a fizzy citrus with powdery notes and some woodiness - very feminine. I think I’ll revisit in warm weather and see if I like it more, as the performance is excellent - very long lasting and great projection.

aviegravy

the amyris chokes me out. it is at once bitter and citric, two things that aren't my fave in perfumes. you must love citrus to love this. but if you do, this would be excellent.

tamun

The notes combine to smell quite sweet, feminine, charming, and clean. It is pretty: elegant, mature, and light hearted. I never quite get citrus here; the floral and powder notes are most prominent. I don't typically like powdery fragrances, but this works, because of the balancing notes in the background.

This is what I thought perfume smelled like when I was a girl; it smells of aunties and older lady relatives. Now that my tastes are a bit more eclectic, I find this to be a comforting, easy to wear scent. To me, this is a house fragrance, something to wear to lounge, to read, to write at home, do laundry and errands. I like it quite a bit, but not so much that I want to be known to smell like this.

strawwbebby

This is so lovely, but I can barely detect the lemon blossom tbh (it was the main reason why I wanted to test this fragrance, cause everyone who smelled those irl, KNOWS how beautiful and intoxicating those smell, extremely underrated scent IMO). Amyris Femme rather smells like squeezed out citrus fruits, than their blossoms. This is the only disappointment I have with this scent, though. Because it still smells pretty damn good, and I very rarely like citrus focused frags, so it's a win. Later it turns creamy, sort of like bodylotion, with a luxorious and neat touch. Really nice.

tebyki

It gives a sweet scent and is suitable for spring summber but it isn’t unique at all imo. I believe that i have smelled something similar before. If you love this scent, i would say there are lots of substitute in the market, with a better price perhaps?
But to be fair, it is long lasting fragrance with good sillage.

nanaa_from_ghana

I absolutely adore this perfume. She's floral, she's a bit resinous, she's woody, she's citrusy (and I usually HATE citruses in fragrances), and she's so feminine and pretty. Amyris lasts forever on clothes, has a moderate projection/sillage, and is blended to perfection. People say she's "basic" but honestly, nothing in my collection smells like this and I have over 70 perfumes at this point. This is one of my favorites from MFK and is one I was always have in my collection. 1000/10 would recommend.

ashleybaby444

a clean/fresh citrus wish i got the woodiness from this but it mainly smells like soap or shampoo to me. similar to opus kore by vilhelm to me for sure.

ashtonanders

love this perfume but i love me some iris so of course i'd like this

Nessers

First of all. The iris is what generalizes this fragrance. You can ask any woman what they consider a perfume smell. Most think back to childhood and imagine Chanel. Most Chanel fragrances are very heavy on the iris flower. Iris is very prevalent in this composition and I think it was done on purpose to play off of the traditional, classic and the sophisticated.

It's hard for me to describe any qualities that stand out because I don't think there are many. But I also think that is the point. It smells very expensive, artistic not so much. Sometimes that's a good thing. It's perfect for every day and is blended exceptionally well. The end is my favorite because it starts to soften and then the Vetiver starts to come through. My favorite note!

I'd like to add a couple more things. I've had my fragrance for about five years and I haven't sprayed it for at least three. I did so tonight and it smells perfect! Fresh as could be. This entire fragrance house is extremely high quality and worth the money in my opinion. I also think this particular fragrance is best worn in the summer with high temperatures. It really brings out the base notes

likesleet

orange vetiver iris. this is really agreeable, i dont think most people would have any issue with this but it also couldn't be identified on the street. i agree with the person who said this is what one would imagine a perfume to smell like.

Unefragrance

This is exactly what you think of when you think “perfume”, just a flowery generic scent. It does have an expensive element to it that I can’t describe, but all MFK fragrances have that ‘money’ scent to them. It has the toilet air freshener smell that most citrus perfumes go through on the first spritz but after 15 minutes it does dry down to reveal its woody notes. It has a fantastic silage and lasting power, but for the price I don’t get all the fuss about this one.

ashleycota16

It is a beautiful feminine scent with citrus, woodiness, and floral. Not heavy but not too light. I like it, but in my opinion it is a very basic crowd pleasing scent. I picture a sophisticated office-type of woman wearing this. Definitely not juvenile at all. It's pretty though, I could also see it being a wedding day scent. Is it special? No. It definitely smells like a basic female perfume that you could find in a designer perfume at a cheaper price point.

sarahjayne_uk

This is a really polite, clean, classy, fragrance. I would wear this to brunch, christening, church, summer days, meeting the parents.

Pear and light citrus notes.

I ordered online from MFK to the UK - a 35ml EDP, I wish I ordered the extrait now. Still a gorgeous fragrance but not a power house.

Celestya

A floral fragrance for spring and summer. Feminine, fresh and elegant, it is a versatile fragrance. Office compatible.

Elle's Bells

Well damn...I just received my MFK sample pack for her and I am currently wearing this now. Within an hour, I placed an online order for a full bottle. I also just received A la Rose this week. I'm so happy that the floral scents work for me because I'm not a big fan of BR 540. Plus, I truly admire the work of FK and his contributions to the perfume industry. This will probably end up being a permanent fixture in my collection as it is a stunning fragrance on me.

selmakrantz

Absolutely gorgeous. Lately, I tend to enjoy more unisex fragrances, but Amyris Femme is one exception. The combination of florals and citrus is unlike any other perfume I’ve ever smelled. It may seem simple to some, but on my skin, it’s a highly unique, fresh scent. I only have a sample right now, but it’s one of my top MFK purchase priorities. If you’re looking for a signature scent and really want to commit, they offer many other Amyris Femme products so you can continue to smell like it no matter how much you spray on. With a scent as pleasing as this one, it’s no wonder why they’ve created these other forms to consume it in. Francis Kurkdjian has outdone himself once again.

Sk8lin

Absolutely gorgeous and sophisticated. A beautiful blend of woody and floral. For a floral fragrance, it has good longevity, too. My favorite of all of MFK’s fragrances. This one is worth the price tag!

KindaQuirkee

This is... fine? It's so hard to put my finger on how I feel about this. Someone nailed it - it smells like exactly what a child imagines "perfume" to smell like. It's nondescript, nonspecial, and truly a generic crowd-pleaser. It reminds me a bit of the store Lush (as do quite a few perfumes) and Sweetie candies. It has all the things I would like about a perfume - especially the elements often present in male colognes like citrus and woods but it's just so plain that I can't imagine making this a signature scent. I like it but...I feel like I could find it at TJ Maxx.

CeeTee

I love it.
The good: It’s a bright citrus that actually lasts. You know those delightful top notes on frags that fade all too quickly? Or freshies that last 30 mins? Amyris Femme keeps the fresh, citrus energy throughout. That’s rare, and I appreciate it!

I have never smelled ‘real’ amyris, but if it’s a ‘citrusy/piney wood’ as Fragrantica states, then this is it. I think the use of Amyris is how the frag retains the citrus nature throughout. I see the Lysol comments, and I guess I can see how it could give someone that thought. I don’t feel that, personally, but I can see it. I get elegant, anchored citrus. But- try before you buy, if you’re unsure about that.

I experience a light-hearted (not to be mistaken for light or weak), fun, happy perfume that performs way better than Gentle Fluidity and doesn’t do any disappearing acts like BR. It’s well-crafted, and I feel fresh and summery during the wear, but definitely perfumed. It’s no wallflower freshie. It projects for several hours and lasts all day.

Happy camper here! Not a safe blind buy, but I will say that what I got on paper is what I get on skin.

Update::: It’s still a BIG LOVE. I love it for summer, but today, 12/26/22 after wearing an oriental vanilla (Alien Essence Absolue) yesterday , this really is a refreshing palate cleanse.

Overview: Playing with your mom's perfume in her closet
From all the online reviews I read about this fragrance, I was super excited. But it's not worth the hype. There's nothing heinous about it, it's just a very basic floral. If there was a perfume that served as the quintessential "this is what a kid thinks of when they hear the word perfume" fragrance, this one would be it.

Temperley

I love this perfume!
It was a blind buy encouraged by reviews I’d read.
It starts off as a beautiful fresh rose followed by a gentle sweetness, on my skin it lasts all day with the most beautiful dry down. Clean and fresh.
Gorgeous!

palindromefish

I adore this perfume, but I think it's a perfume that is highly dependent on personal skin chemistry. I know that it trends sharp and citrusy, almost like Lysol, on some people, but on me it comes across as mature, woody, and feminine. On my skin, it conjures the feeling of walking through the woods on a warm and balmy summer night. I recommend getting a sample and trying it out to see how it interacts with your skin before going in on a full size bottle! If it works for you, it's subtly seductive, woody, and gorgeous, but if it doesn't work for you, you'll end up with that cleaning product smell a couple people have mentioned in reviews. It lasts a long time without being overpowering and spreads through a space without overwhelming. An absolute win in my book!

bren400

I am one of the 5 people who think this smells similar to Prescriptives by Calyx-not the new Clinique version, I haven't smelled that yet. I personally would get Calyx, it has more character, sillage and is a POWERHOUSE of a fragrance! Oh, and not to mention it won't hurt ur pocket, unlike MFK Amyris😬

msamber86

Looking at the notes I thought this could work really well. A strong lemon/citrus scent that then sweetens and becomes warm. It could have been a fun summer scent. But for me all I got was lemon pledge the entire way through. It was off putting. It doesn’t change or settle into anything you would ever want to wear. It’s a shame because I do love this brand but I guess they can’t all be winners.

LeeloSteelo

This is so not for me. I am usually a gourmand or fruity-floral person and wanted to get into something more fresh or herbal and this smells offensive to me. On my skin, it's citrus, then woodsy, then pungent almost like lemon toilet bowl cleaner. I can understand someone who may have a love for this but it is not me! It may be my chemistry but I think I am going to stick to my lane. My favorite fragrances are Byredo Mojave Ghost, TF Lost Cherry and 540.

Nana J

This has become a very dear favorite.
When i first smelled it ,it transported me back to youth when life seemed mysterious and hopeful and not too jaded.
It’s beautiful

11/10
This is the prettiest fragrance i have ever tried and nothing come close so far!
I only have the vial, and will definitely buy the full size bottle and use it for my wedding day.
Might buy the oil and hair mist first haha!

This stays 12 solid hours on clothes but on skin like 6 hrs. This is love at first spray, and the dry down is GORGEOUS.

weirdhoney21

This is really lovely but much more "mature" than I was expecting. Gives off sophisticated, feminine vibes. It's more woody/aromatic to me than floral or citrusy. It's in the same realm as Coco Mademoiselle but they aren't the same by any means! I had pretty high expectations based on the viral tweet and TikTok reviews about this scent but it's just okay for me.

This would work well in the spring/fall and makes a nice, modern alternative to a Chanel fragrance!

EDIT: The more I wear this, the more I love it! Might need the 35mL size now.

8/10

beelikestosmellgood

This is definitely a scent that deserves the hype it gets. It's an incredible blend of woodiness and florals with a bit of citrus to it that makes the final fragrance lean more toward the feminine side. This scent is what I imagine when I think of Juliet as she sat at her window in that balmy midsummer, wondering about Romeo who was just below, longing for her as much as she was for him. This is fresh sugared citrus yet at the same time it's a warm cup of spiced and honeyed tea during a late night. This is a fairie or a fae, it's unpredictable yet that unpredictability is what gives it charm. It's all encompassing and fresh in a way that reminds you of a new Spring. It's a new lover, an old friend, and a beginning in the middle of a story. I would say this is a scent for every woman, because no matter what notes come through the most, it still manages to work with you rather than for you. It's young, yet mature, and it's bold but also somehow shy. It's something different, and that's what makes it nearly perfect.

mrsoutlaw

A pleasant lemony floral fragrance. It's... nice. It does go through that bathroom cleaner phase somewhere in the beginning of the dry down, just like many other lemon/citrus fragrances. I am not overwhelmingly in love with this fragrance. It smells very basic and generic. I have nothing bad to say about it. There just isn't anything to fall in love with here. And the fact that I can say that, makes the MFK price tag not worth it at all. So sorry Amyris Femme.

MannSE

It’s nice, but its pretty simple on my skin. Tbh it smells like an expensive version of the summery scents I used to wear at school in the 90s - Clinique Happy maybe? Lacking the depth and complexity I want combined with my florals. I don’t get any woodiness from it at all.

Bavara8

I bought a set of samples to get to know this so expensive pariah designer. I started trying the perfumes one after the other and decided they were disgusting. I didn't use them for a long time, but then I decided I should use them or throw them away. I started finishing them one by one and now, as amazing as it sounds, I can no longer think of another designer. The conclusion is that each perfume is unique, different and impressive in its own way, their high class does not go unnoticed by people around me. THANK YOU KURKDJIAN !

hollymichaelm

The opening is a more refined and citrus version of Elie Saab Le Parfum - but the beauty of this perfume is the dry down. A soft, feminine, dreamy wood. Glorious.

thotumnheaux

Fr4g74nt•c4’s recent €•n•y-supporting suggestive imagery raising red flags aside…

This is a nice scent! Very daytime, very office. Fresh and femme.

At first spritz, I got a very jasmine-like floral, but I don’t see it listed in the notes! I didn’t get any of the lemon blossom or citrus, but definitely a citrus-like freshness. Maybe it’s c•v|d, but I’ve been careful to stay at home as much as possible and wear a mask whenever I run errands… not to mention, I’m b••$t3d…

As it develops on the skin, *then* I start to get some citrus. Citrus and amber? Very elegant and reminiscent of springtime.

Is it special, is it unique? In my opinion, no. It’s a beautifully blended fragrance but for a similar vibe at a fraction of the price, Jo Malone ticks the same boxes.

JaeIsFancy

This has an effervescent fruit opening that I truly love. Then, oddly, to my (amateur) nose, I get wafts of fresh madeleines, that dissipate before I get that pretty lipstick vibe.

You know what this is perfect for right? Brunch, picnics, cute floral dresses, pretty purses and shoes (or sneakers), riding your bike with fresh flowers in a basket at its handle bars. Day dates and hanging out with your girls! Paris! Sunshine!

The only con: the scent bubble can be intimate unless you spray a good amount.

I want to note that I see a lot of comparison to Coco MM. while I can understand why they’d be compared, I don’t think they’re dupes at all. This is blended to perfection as are the rest of the frags from this line.

Controlledbyscent31

This is like a high end long lasting jlo still and I smell tea in it for some reason.
I like this but wouldn't buy a big bottle as I prefer jlo still.
Very feminine & pretty.

CaIum

Starts off incredibly bitter, sour and citrusy like lime/lemon cleaning products. Quickly fades into a sweeter, muskier, almost juicy but slightly powdery orange peel. Florals start to peak through after a few minutes but citrus is definitely still very much present. After a while it's down to a hint of citrus and a single flower that's trying its best to cut through the noise. I don't get any sort of woody/amber-y-ness from this perfume.

Definitely for a more mature woman. In no way is this modern, complex or ground-breaking. Incredibly boring but not disgusting. I'm sure you could find a perfume like this in any store for £30, £50 max. Disappointing coming from such a talented perfumer.

Flame Maiden

I bought this as a blind buy. It is not my taste normally, but that is what I wanted. Something out of my comfort zone for Summer. I find this very similar to Dior J'adore and Amouage Reflection woman. I like those type of fragrances, but not love. So, in saying that, I do like this one very much. I don't LOVE it at first sniff. It is light and fresh and a touch spicy. The florals are starting to come through after 2 hours. It is feminine but still a bit punchy. I will wear it daytime in Summer and I think it will be fine for work. I think it may suit younger women than me, I'm 53 and perhaps I have a bit more mature taste?? Overall 6/10 for me.

amvioletto

Fresh, feminine, clean. Starts off citrusy but dries down to a floral. I like it for a spring day or a summer evening down at the beach. Smells a bit like citrus soap or wood cleaner. Makes me feel nostalgic for warmer, brighter days.

Poudery

The citruses dominate this lighthearted scent. As it dries down, iris gains strength. These notes are unfortunately a bit plasticky. Amyris is a fresh feminine scent, I'll test more on spring days.

antoniov

On my skin this is a light, warm floral (poppy comes to mind as well) and I completely agree with the comment about it being a very French feminine scent. On my skin it smells lovely. I also like this for sentimental reasons. My mum years ago in the 90s used to wear an eau de toilette by clochard which was exactly like this. I guess I could buy it as a signature fragrance just to smell different from all those wearing BR540.

mmxknna05

Very Femme in France. Sunny aromatics that lean a bit Coco Mademoiselle minus the patchouli and rose. Not very niche maybe this smells better on others but the waxy quality of the Iris leans towards an image of a Victorian orange blossom wedding wreath but instead of delicate blossoms, the plastic blooms have spent too much time in grandmas attic.

Snowflake8000

Bought a tester of this. So far I like it. Very soft and feminine. A light, gentle floral.

ScentedVioletta

Oh my God… I really didn’t want to love this perfume because it’s so expensive, but I just got a sample in the mail today and I’m sure it’s all I’ll be thinking about for weeks. Gorgeous, balanced, warm floral with a citrusy opening, grounded with vetiver, and not a hint of old lady. It’s modern, fresh, feminine and absolutely stunning. 10/10.

kindceleste

So simple. Sort of clean and fresh floral. Not amazing so far. Definitely spring and summer are the seasons that jump out at me. I can see the end of winter too. Think when all the snow is melting. Definitely day time. Gold is more up my alley. More powdery than this. This is a refreshing simply smell that doesn't say much to me. Pretty but, I've smelled many "pretty" perfumes.

smooshycow

This starts off as so pungent and sharp in a way I can't describe. However, it does dry down to a more pleasant, powdery scent after awhile. It strikes me as a very "in your face" scent and reminds me of a working, professional woman in her late 40s ... not sure how suitable this is for everyday wear imho. Don't pick up on ANY woody notes at all, just full on floral and powder that hits you in a rather cloying way.

Softpeacelily

Starts off citrus floral and spicy, I must say I really liked it at first spray, which isn’t the case with most perfumes. I got distracted for a few minutes then came back to check on it and it had disappeared! I couldn’t smell it on my skin. Shame because I really loved it at first spray. It smelt like a perfect summer fragrance. Maybe the extrait would be stronger.

Marie76

This fragrance confuses me. It smells really strong and citrus, almost like a cleaning product, but it has been perfectly blended into a really interesting tuberose. The overall effect varies from a whiff of heavenly but strong femenity to a whiff of having walked into an over sprayed public toilet.
I honestly cannot make up my mind, I'm not sure if I love it or I hate it.

missnancynancy

I get the hype for this scent-I’ve never smelled anything like it and on me it smells so earthy and woody, like being out hiking in the woods the day after a rainstorm. It’s fresh, light, and feminine. It’s my signature scent and I will be repurchasing over and over again.

ana_clare

Not really what I expected, it’s pretty but a little too floral for me I’m not really getting the citrus or woody notes on my skin. Smells like a basic feminine perfume to me not my favorite.

smellysmello

Reading the notes Amyris Femme seems like a slam-dunk for me. It smells natural, with quality ingredients, and the iris is just the right volume. It's a pleasing floral - with a little sweetness, citrus and light musk. It seems a bid muddled on me though. Nice, but just sort of directionless? Polite projection and decent longevity. I might need more time with it, but so far it's not a wow.

KymIndigo

Why oh why did I let myself test this fragrance? It's an instant addiction and I need a full bottle of this pronto.

The amyris plant has a unique light citrus-floral, woody pine, resin scent. This, coupled with a dash of lemon, iris musk and a whisper of woody amber on the base, is Amyris Femme. It's a specific type of clean-citrus-floral that feels like it could be worn anywhere, at any time, for any reason. Absolute perfection in blending as per usual, Mr Kurkdjian, thank you. Longevity is amazing, sillage is amazing, the scent is amazing. 10/10.

There isn't much more to say about this fragrance aside from the fact that I am completely smitten. If you love clean leaning scents but still want some interesting floral notes as well, please give it a try.

redberry11

To me, Amyris Femme dries down more nicely than it opens. The beginning is quite sharp. It's a geranium like note, very probably lemon blossom as it reminds me on Jo Malone's Orange Blossom - similar bitterness, similar headache inducing smell. It fades quickly, it's gone within 20 mins. Although it continues with pleasant sweet, powdery accords of orange and iris, it's not unique and leaves no trail. It's elegant but not what I could wear.

Bow Nuttaa

Amyris Femme is a very pleasant summery daytime scent, bright and sweet. I’m not a fan of citrus or fresh scent, but this is done well with the sweetness added from iris and musk, which made it not too fresh or citrusy. There’s a grasslike scent from Vetiver noticeable in the dry down, which makes it unique with that little green note. Well balanced, signature worthy scent. Great quality as usual from the MFK.

For me, BR540 could be worn anytime you want to feel elevated, but may not be best on a hot summer day. Feminin Pluriel screams spring to me. A la rose is for spring-summer. This Amyris Femme is definitely the best for summer.

While it’s designed for female, I feel it’s more unisex than the FP and A la rose. A guy could easily pull it off, too.

Lexdubbss

I have this as a sample and have worn it a few times. I don’t hate it by any means, and my husband likes it. I find it to be slightly old. It just gives me grandma vibes even though it is still beautiful. Unsure. Might revisit this one

smilinfacestelllies

I am so lost on the hype of this scent. I bought into the tiktok reviews. What a mistake. Its overly powdery and honestly smells extremely similar to Murphy's oil soap, a citrus based wood cleaner :/

nm999

Amyris Femme is such a pretty perfume; powdery, slightly sweet orange blossom. The orange blossom combined with the iris is pretty and classic. I live in New Orleans and this perfume does well in the heat and humidity. I understand the tiktok of description of this perfume reminiscing "unspeakable beauty," in credit to ethereally romantic aura this perfume evokes.

Also, I wanted to add that this perfume gets compliments like Baccarat Rouge. Even after many hours of wear, people will continue to ask what perfume I am wearing!

taytyperry

I love this scent. It’s not a scent profile I generally gravitate toward but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It smells citrusy and clean, like a very classy woman. I wore it and got compliments from a few women. The best part is, it doesn’t give me a headache.

All in all it smells great, lasts a long time, and has decent sillage. Is it extremely interesting? Not really, but I’d rather smell good than “intriguing” lol.

MegWhite

This is sweet, ladylike, extremely floral and juicy. It has decent longevity. But apart from that, it's nothing special.

Pacifica_

Unfortunately, Amryis Femme is the victim of another huge bout of hype. It’s honestly just fine. It’s not as special as I expected it to be. I got it as part of a 10ml sample set. It’s pretty nice, fresh, and floral, but not mind blowing. It actually kind of smells like my grandmother, honestly.

As it settles on my skin, it starts to smell like hairspray.

Sillage and performance are fantastic, I’ll give it that. Absolutely fills up the room and lasts into the next day.

There is only one perfume that has ever lived up to the hype for me, and that is Delina.

Amryis femme: 5/10

thestranger

This is lightly aromatic, and…. Something else. I can’t put my finger on it. Is that the Amyris? I like it, but can’t imagine wearing it for some reason. It doesn't remind me of anything.

Vanian

I can't recall I have written a review of that one, so, sample it today again after awile and while I love the extrait version, I find this as similar as CM Chanel mixed together with J'adore Dior and voila Amyris popped out. I mean it is nice, but somehow it's kind of 'copy cat' to me. I will definitely finish the sample, but that's it. Saving my money for a bottle of the extract one.

librabeing

Hmm, pretty run of the mill on me. Not tempted at all.

alyllauren

I got a sample of this after the TikTok hype. It smells fresh, floral, expensive, and bright in a way that doesn't feel overdone, but it only lasts about 4 hours on my skin. My body chemistry did not give me the amazing wear time and sillage other people seem to have, which doesn't make it worth it for the price.

Virgo92093!

This smells pretty good - I liked it better on paper to be honest. Very strong and long lasting. very very floral with a green-ness to it as well. I wish it was a tad sweeter. This is very feminine. You do get the citrus in the perfume but it is not dominant. I see the similarities between this and coco mademoiselle. Dare I say, this smells a little... mature? Smells expensive. Lasting power is incredible. Sillage amazing.

comradefraghead

This is lovely but on my skin this smells identical to Estée Lauder Pleasures, something i wore quite a bit in the early 2000s.

isakaz

This is a classic nice powdery. Nothing special, there are cheaper options for the same thing.

sluththth

I bought a decant because of Tiktok. 😂
When i opened the bottle, I got a little bit disappointed. I didn't like it at first, but when I put it on my skin the scent suddenly changed and I came to love it! 💕
I agree with @estherkiim. Not yet a Queen but more than just a little Princess scent.
It's fresh, like mint or something, and aromatic. With white floral, violets and green.

estherkiim

Bought a dupe (OF) as it was just released, because of a tiktok video with glowing recommendations for it and all I can say is wow.
It's definitely special and I can understand why it would be 'queen-like' although I would likely say it's more of 'the oldest princess, soon to be queen' rather than the actual queen herself (maybe even a fairy queen, or a mermaid that's centuries-old but looks like they're 25)! I imagine this would be perfect for the women who have that innocent siren vibe to them.

There's something ... wise about it, for sure.
But it's also quite bright, with a touch of youth to it.
I don't typically like lemon in fragrances and this lemon blossom is a perfect medium for me.

buonobi

I got a tester on this fragrance from the official counter.
On testing paper, it smells so good and I can smell the amyris, sth woody and special. (I was thinking to buy it!)
But on my skin, it smells like Coco mademoiselle but maybe more airy than EDP, similar to EDT.
A little bit too floral for my taste.
I won't buy this on Full Bottle and I will try the extrait next time.
Great for Spring and Summer though.

MariaKmt

All the hype made me curious so I sampled this and tried it a couple of times. Not sure if it's for ''queens'' but it's definitely a nice perfume. It reminds me A LOT of Chanel Mademoiselle and Cacharel Anais Anais. It's way too floral for me and after 30 min or so smells slightly lactonic on my skin, which I also don't love. It's great for the spring and summertime, however I wouldn't recommend blind buying this one. 7/10

lianeliz

I got a sample of this because of a viral tiktok video. Did it live up to the hype? No. Is it nice enough? Sure. It smells like walking into the ladies' powder room of a golf club that was forced to allow women in by law 20 years ago. It smells accidentally calling your third grade teacher "mom." This is what a 24 year old boy who wants his girlfriend to do his laundry would buy his girlfriend. If that's not your vibe I wouldn't recommend it.

Steph_S

I put this on the first time and thought - what a lovely, light citrus/floral scent. I got hints of Lemon and flowers - delicate and summery. I could get little whiffs of it as I walked around my room getting ready to go downstairs. I sprayed a few more spritzes to make it a little stronger ----- "no no", "no no" and "NO NO". This "light" fragrance actually gets stronger with wear!! What I thought was a light, faint fragrance grew into a BEAST in 30 minutes. This is one of the few fragrances that I can actually smell more on my skin that on my clothes. It became overwhelming really quickly and that lasted for a good 6 hours.

Second application and a lesson learned from that first overspray and I'm in Heaven. This is a great fragrance for me. It's airy, but not non-existent. The longevity and sillage of this fragrance is among the best of all my citrus/floral perfumes.

**UPDATE**
Splurged on a full-sized bottle and the body oil. YUM!!!

***** 2022 UPDATE****

I tested positive for Covid and basically lost my sense of smell. This was very depressing because I love the emotions scents reveal. On a whim, I sprayed a bit of Amyris Femme before bedtime hoping to get a tiny bit of an uplifting fragrance - and it worked!! I went to sleep feeling encouraged that my nose would return to normal.

As my nose is "recovering", other scents are a little off. Some smell metallic, synthetic or bland and others just stink. Amryis Femme is, at this moment, one of the only scents that smell exactly like I expect it to. I know I'm missing some notes, but the ones I can detect are on point.

nelliebabes

I don't know why-- but this opening takes me to an enlightened, spiritual headspace.
Something about the resinous, spiced, clove vibe.

Then it quickly tones down to a wooden, powdered, kiss of floral... the dry down is quick and it becomes very musky/ second skin within I'd say 30 minutes. This is a beautiful wearable powdery frag for all genders.

Unfortunately it lasts like 20 minutes on me.

InterstateTornado

This is a gentle, sophisticated floral. Unfortunately on me, it is so subdued it doesn’t last. After an hour I can’t smell it on skin or clothing. I sprayed it on cardstock and it lasted longer on that. It’s one of the weakest perfumes I’ve ever tried. I like what I can smell a lot! I agree with reviews that say it is elegant, but also safe.

Kterhark

(Edit: compare this review to the one I wrote in 2013 below. Between then and now MFK was bought by LVMH and it shows)

You know that phrase "Life in Plastic, its Fantastic!"? That only works in the song. When you bring it into perfumery, like happens with Amyris Femme, the party is over. There is a hint of goodness in the fragrance, but the plasticy, artificial note is so strong the goodness is overwhelmed.
I agree w/ other posters that the opening is wonderful, but if you are sampling, do try it over a period of 2 days before writing your review. Jessica Jones below says it becomes 'weird and eeky', and I know what she is referring too.
Again, I am a big fan of Francis K., and it takes a lot for me to write poorly of one of his scents. But this one wouldn't even smell good on Barbie Girl, it is just too fake.

Jessica_Jones

I LOVED the first spritz so much. But then it started smelling sort of like generic Versace-y. And finally it became sort of weird and eeky, maybe the vetiver? I donno. Should I try again?

Miss.Tara

I recently have been so bored with florals. And I haven't enjoyed smelling fruity or pastry like in a really long time. This is a sweet fresh floral without being able to single out a single floral note, it's fresh without being citrus or "blue," and sweet without being gourmand. What!? It's beautiful. There isn't a sharp or unpleasant opening. Zero alcohol smell. I guess I can see why some people would be reminded of Coco Mademoiselle because the floral aspect or "style" is the same. Meaning it smells softly "floral" but it's not any particular flower. However, there isn't any patchouli in this. That being said, I get a little of a headache and a scratchiness from the floral part of Coco Mademoiselle, but love the patchouli part and the fragrance as a whole. Amyris doesn't give me a headache at all, and there is zero back of throat type of scratchiness. The biggest selling point for me, is Amyris has that airy presence that is the main thing I enjoy in BR540. Is that Francis Kurkdjan's DNA I wonder? I didn't detect it in Gentle Fluidity Gold, so maybe not.

Disa767

A fresh citrus scent. I like it more than other citrus scents like D&G Light Blue which I find too masculine. Great for everyday wear.

d_silent_one

This is one elegant fresh floral. This perfume has an air of sophistication yet it's a freshy, easily worn in the summer. Very flowery and watery but with a presence. This is for a simple woman with a lot of money, the type that does not even pretend to be rich. This would be ideal for the executive who goes from meeting to meeting because it is very office appropriate. It conjures clean office lines.

emerson10

Oh Amyris Femme <3

What a pleasant surprise (I mean not really a surprise considering it's MFK I suppose). I was not familiar with lemon blossom or amyris notes prior to trying this frag so I didn't really have an idea of what to expect one way or another.

Amyris Femme is fresh, floral, linen-y, and citrus-y in a doll-like, princess in a castle way. It actually reminds me of one of my childhood toys in particular (I'm picturing this pink sparkly castle), or perhaps bed sheets at the most upscale spa retreat of your life. If you are someone who craves a loud strong fragrance that is still somehow delicate and inoffensive, here she is.

AF has a strong sillage & projection and very distinct smell, and while you truly cannot miss it, I somehow can't see anyone disliking it. It's an easy-to-like fresh floral but is in no way generic. To be a loud, strong, unique floral and not a polarizing one is no easy feat.

Interesting to see the comparisons to Coco Madamoiselle; I don't get that at all. I haven't smelled any other frag quite like this, but if I had to think of something comparable in my collection in terms of aesthetic/vibe, it would be Kilian Flower of Immortality. They both have a princess/doll-like quality, in the most refined way possible.

A new fav floral.

genevieve.decock

smells a bit like air freshener to me

miarose

It starts out with a somewhat sharp and fresh floral citrus, with quite a bit of woody greenness. As time goes by, the greenness takes on characteristics of tea. It doesn't quite develop the warmth of the promised notes in the description. Ultimately, this one is good, but seems ordinary. I've heard the Amyris Homme version is more interesting, and I'd like to try that one.

XXYZZYX

Amyris Femme is a classic floral, and opens straight up floral and very inoffensively on me. The drydown is more musky and floral. I can kinda detect a tea-like note on me, maybe like black tea even? I'm not too familiar with amyris or iris in fragrances, so maybe that's what's contributing to those notes.

This reminds me of something I’ve already tried mixed with my skin chemistry. It’s as if Chanel Mademoiselle and Bvlgari Rose Blossom Delight had a baby! I think this is one of the better, safer offerings I've tried from Maison Francis Kurkdijan, even though it does have similar DNA as some much more affordable scents from other brands.

thetunez

Regular feminine fragrance. Does not stay long on my skin (like many MFK). 5/10

Chili93

I waited 3 days to buy this perfume. With every MFK fragrance I try it for a day and have to exercise A LOT of restraint to not buy it the next day. It's all my favourite fragrance notes wrapped in one gorgeous bottle. This is now my favourite fragrance (in general, not just from this house) and is my signature day time scent to complement my other favourite Baccarat rouge 540, my night time fragrance (previously Grand Soir which I'm sure to revisit).

No other fragrance gives me this level of freshness with femininity. The perfect fragrance for work, lunching and brunching, and daytime events/occasions. It's a woman who has lost her innocence but not her heart or faith in the beauty of life. This is what the woodiness and vetiver do for the florals for me. I love vetiver fragrances but this is so beautifully balanced and subtle just adding a very quiet twang in the background which helps to lift the florals and citrus. The mandarin orange does lend a sharpness that makes this fragrance unique in the line. The musk and amber are not overpowering. This is subtle but not in the same way as gentle fluidity. It's just well balanced and quietly confident. On me it stays all day on my skin. I just adore it and so glad I purchased. I wish i knew more about fragrance but I enjoy how this scent makes me feel, like a woman who can get work done and feel beautiful and relaxed while doing it.

fragem

This smells incredibly similar to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle but with a fresher dry down due to a lack of patchouli. Overall I prefer MFK Amyris slightly over Coco Mademoiselle, but since so many women already have CM in their collection it is 100% not worth it at all to spend double the price on the 70% similar Amyris. Honestly, the fragrance DNA in Amyris is very similar to the general luxe Chanel house DNA. Not full bottle worthy by any means. Heck, I would not pay any $ at all for a decant or another sample. Please save your money and get Coco Mademoiselle. I personally prefer the EDT of CM because the EDP smells a little outdated to my nose.

Regina2

Sprayed from a sample in the morning and had to pick a nicer outfit for the day to feel complete.

Agnes81

Airy, powdery, pleasant - but not boring. I cant stop smelling my wrist. It's flowery and fresh but round and with a gentle sweetness. The perfect scent for a spring wedding. Not my usual style of perfume - but I really love it for what it is.

bourcet

I think amyris is a note that I need to better understand. This perfume is nice. Inoffensively pretty. But there's just something about the accord I cannot place; I guess that's the amyris talking. It reminds me of pressing my nose into a magazine as a kid; the resinous smell of a perfume insert and the glossiness of the aspirational images. The perfume is simple but it smells expensive. Something about the iris is just so evocative of that classic perfume advertisement scent.

I sprayed this on myself this morning and forgot about it. Kept getting wafts of it through my mask hours and hours later. Surprised by the performance and forgot I was even wearing it. A pleasant surprise. Balsamic and beautiful while still remaining light and ethereal.

Callista25

Non-descript floral laundry musk.

cocofluff

Opens citrusy and aromatic. It's a bit watery. Gets more earthy as the vetiver surfaces. Not what I expected. Will have to test more to decide because I'm on the fence. -

nadiiine

This is a sophisticated, fresh & classy smelling citrus and light floral scent. As other reviewers have said, this isn't exactly super unique but I still love it regardless. Francis Kurkdjian is a master, his scents are sooo well-blended and I love (most of) the MFK line.

I also get the similarity with Coco Mademoiselle, but I prefer this so much more as CM gives me a bit of a headache sometimes. Sillage on this is decent, and lasts around 4-ish hours which is fine with me. Great for a spring/summer day.

elledeelee

Sugary blackcurrant, lemon blossom and musk. It's sweet and sharp, feminine and youthful, classy but not too original. Immediately it reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle. Then the floral starts to bloom and this is what sets it apart from others in this genre. It's so incredibly well made, that the overall impression as it develops is elevated far above your everyday generic citrussy floral - this is utterly elegant and outstandingly beautiful! Can't afford it though so I'll have to make do with Jimmy Choo Illicit Flower from my collection, which has some kind of similarities but is much less refined.

RottigrlNYC

I love MFK, and own quite a few of their perfumes but this one I waited on. I’ve wanted it for so long and kept buying decants. Finally I saw it on sale and added my 20% discount on top and it was a no brainer. Finally I have competed my collection within this one and Grand Soir, which I’ve also wanted for a long time . I don’t know why some ppl say Amyris smells like toilet cleaner,‘it so does not. It’s a beautiful feminine floral that’s not overpowering and perfect for Church or as a nice date nite fragrance. I love it. It’s beautifully blended and one of the best flower perfumes . Imho

Amyris femme Maison Francis Kurkdijan
Lemon blossom,Iris ,Amyris,White musk, Amber
@ladylovesperfumes
The opening of this perfume came to me like a I am smelling inside a lime's peel,so refreshing without any zesty sharp edges.
And then the magic happens,An airy scent of very pleasant and familiar blossoms mix with some powdery notes(from Iris) came through. white misk is very light and in the background ,Amber is just a hint to remove the sharp edges and make it a round perfume.
If Le Parfum Intense Elie Saab is an Elegant lady ,This perfume could be the twin carefree sister who like dress up in florals !
Definately you could feel the familiar DNA and signature of Francis Kurkdijan on it.
It's a simple floral and blossomy perfume but really the highest quality type of it.
This is an everyday /all year around perfume. none offensive ,not sweet , airy with mild projection. It is a crowd-pleaser perfume. @ladylovesperfumes

perfumelovere

I just received a sample in the mail. I love how the MFK website allows you to purchase testers without committing to a big bottle. The bad news is I find this perfume headache inducing. It's an overwhelming floral to the point of screaming I'm wearing very heavy perfume. I want a perfume that smells appealing but doesn't come across as obviously perfume if that makes any sense.... a scent that has people saying wow, she smells very lovely. Someone else described this as old fragranced lipsticks and I couldn't agree more. I also am taken back to the early 90's when my teachers wore estee lauder beautiful.

p.kalamaja

A light floral perfume but with a little character and you can tell high quality ingredients. MFK signature evident in the Dry down. Not for me as I require a perfume that’s a bit louder, but if you just like a nice classy light fragrance this would be for you. Perfect for the office. It won’t offend anyone.

jaa456

I have such a perfume collection sometimes I have to test at night to re-familiarize myself with a fragrance. I did so in the spring with this scent and was like why did I buy toilet cleaner. I found it loud and screeching with just one spray. Fast forward to July and I’m a genius for purchasing this and MFK is for formulating it. I hit two sprays here there everywhere and it is perfect. It rocks in the humidity.

Amyris is mature but playful. Posh but accessible. It’s brilliantly powdered, fresh, zesty and resinous. It’s what a well heeled Caribbean woman would wear out during the day. Not to the beach but she could but to work, the bank, work or out to lunch. Bon bagay! Must have in summer wardrobe.

hfigures

I'm getting a lot of citrus and wafts of musky floral. Maybe it's the amyris. It's bright, sophisticated and full bottle worthy.

Zentocs

One word about Amyris Femme: ELEGANT. I think this scent needs elegant or formal clothes then you will be a Lady with it! Beautifule amyris-orange-vetiver-iris for me. Longevity is 8 hours on me, sillage is at least arm lenght.

disintigratedwoman

Amyris pour Femme opens with citrusy, slightly fruity blossoms on my skin, grounded with some woods. Very feminine, classy and bright. After about 20 minutes the woods start taking a greater presence, and musk makes an appearance as well. To my nose it loses its feminine edge a bit and becomes a little harsh in the dry down.

To me this could make a safe, every day scent for spring/summer. Many people have commented that this one smells a bit generic.. and I have to agree. It definitely smells like something I’ve smelled before, despite the notes being the usual MFK top-quality. Personally the citrus/woody combo reminds me a lot of Coco Mademoiselle, although I prefer the latter.

I chose this fragrance to complete the 4-unit sample set I purchased on the MFK website, where I was really excited to try his big hits BR540, Oud Satin Mood and Grand Soir. Amyris is in a completely different league from these aforementioned perfumes - much less eccentric. Glad I tried it but it’s only a ‘like’ from me.

SailorV

I have no idea what amyris smells like, but this is a really elegant perfume. The lemon blossom and iris are done so beautifully. Fresh and clean, but not unnatural, blended with the musk they smell like a very high quality cream. Mandarin adds a lovely citrus accent and vetiver gives the whole scent a little sharp edge that keeps it from being boring. In the drydown, I definitely smell honey even though it's not listed. An alluring sweet warmth underneath the florals.
This is clear and pure like a crystal, but with enough warmth and sweetness to be feminine and sensual. It's so ladylike that I would only wear it with a nice outfit and a full face of make-up, to me it would feel out of place worn with a sweatshirt and just mascara. The projection and longevity make it very noticeable and it's not the most versatile perfume, but with the right occasion and look that would make me feel confident.

I don't understand how some reviewers find this generic, sure, florals are nothing new, but I know of none that smell similar to Amyris Femme.

Galimard no. 5

This has an unpleasant "designer-commercial" scent that I just can't put my finger on (so, for your sake's, I won't try!).
For a floaty and floral MFK scent, I prefer the gorgeous APoM.

MonkeyPuppet

This is a lovely scent and happy to say no rose. I like rose a lot but it seems to be the mainstay of so many floral scents. The orange blossom and jasmine are smoothed with a bit of powdery iris. With many expensive white flower fragrances there is the indolic smell, here I only catch it in the first 10 minutes. I am sensitive to the smell because I grew up around horses and frankly it can smell a bit like a horse barn. Others may like it. :)

This is a wedding scent for sure. It is perfectly blended and dries down to just smooth floral with some nice amber and wood. I can't imagine anyone saying this smells like a less expensive perfume they have. The ingredients are high quality and pretty for daytime and weekend chill time.

It comes in a much more expensive extrait I sampled and like a bit more for its longevity but the Amber and Iris tend to hit first in the top notes. The original reviewed here is more fresh and sparkling.

samsara1977

Some cheaper perfumes do better in this category. Somehow makes me think of Nina, there is something a little different but Nina is better and very long lasting.

jytong

On my skin, Amyris Femme reminds me of old perfumed lipsticks. The scent is powdery, musky and floral. It could work well as a room scent. Not a scent for me.

katrinawhitney

I just received a decant of this one, and I wore it yesterday for the first time. My husband came into the room where I had just sprayed it, and he said “Wow, it smells super fancy in here, like I feel like we are in New York City.” Then for hours after, he’d comment that he was still getting wafts of it from me. It’s very feminine, exudes a certain level of class, and lasts a decent time. Very bright and floral, but something gives it a different feeling than just those things. I’m a fan.

TiffC

My all time favourite perfume, I would wear it 24/7 if I could afford it. Really strong, a couple of sprays will last all day - you’ll still smell it on your clothes the next day, so you only need a bit which helps with the price. I just love it. It smells amazing.

Zareldo

I got the extrait version of this along with my purchase of oud satin mood, I am a man, but I wanted to try it out anyway. It smells pleasant, high quality, fresh, floral but it didnt wow me. Longevity, projection and sillage are all good on my skin. It is very elegant and clean, something for a classy woman. The opening smells a bit generic, but the drydown is where it really shines.

Scent: 8/10
