Overpriced but is a realistic matcha scent. Not really my thing. Unisex, definitely good for spring. A fresh scent.

*Flower_fairy*

Oddly enough matcha meditation smells somewhat similar to hypnotic poison by Dior to me. Similar but softer, instead of the root beer like smell I get in hypnotic poison I get a light fresh matcha and chocolate scent. I enjoyed matcha meditation so much that I’m considering getting the full size bottle! I think it’s better as an autumn winter fragrance.

i have an unused 100ml for sale :) depop- nectarineaddict

A realistic matcha scent. I don’t like the smell of matcha (dusty wet carpet), but if you do give this a try.

Ayshin

This is more of jasmine tea in a pot and dry flower, i don't find this as a "matcha" scent
Growing up in asian household, this is a familiar notes to me. I like it, except for the poor SPL
I'm still searching for my "perfect" tea scent

I bought this from the Sephora sale and I’m now debating whether to keep it. I bought it because I had a sample that was a delicious blend of an airy jasmine and a smooth rich tea that I really liked. As so often seems to happen, this bottle is frustratingly unlike my sample. It features some very different and not well integrated notes- sharp, vegetal green tea, chocolate that is very strong and rich and to my nose smells like dark chocolate not the white listed on the notes, an indolic and skanky jasmine, and a fresher orange blossom. Just when I decide I don’t like it, a different note comes into play and I change my mind. However, It dries down into a kind of sickly sweet white floral that puts it firmly in the category of feminine leaning fragrance and not in a good way. The sample was a perfect blend, it was so much more appealing, and I’m wondering if letting this full bottle mature a bit will help its notes to blend better. I’ve heard it’s discontinued so I’m hesitant to let it go but on the other hand…why keep a perfume unless you love it. It also doesn’t last that long and is quite expensive for what it is. Hey, writing this helped me make up my mind. I’m sending it back.

this literally smells like a matcha kitkat bar. super sweet and powdery in the opening and it turns into a creamy white floral in the dry down but still keeps that greeness from the matcha and moss. even though it's an EDT it lasts a good 4 hours on me and when it does fade it still has this creamy goodness that makes me wanna keep sniffing my wrists all day

rosemary.milk

Been testing this out from a 10ml decant to decide if I want the full bottle. The very first spray is citrusy, but unlike most matcha/tea based fragrances it only lasts a second and the main top notes are matcha and the sweetness from the white chocolate to me. The matcha fades first, but still lasts a good few hours for me, replaced with the white florals. The longevity isn’t the greatest, but for an EDT it’s still good and lasts a while on clothes. Honestly probably will get the full bottle because it’s also hard to come by!

SOTD Matcha Meditation by Replica 5/5

First spray is a bright citrus and settles into a yummy matcha latte without the lactonic notes. Pairs really well layered with the Bianco Latte Lotion from Giardini Di Toscana. After a few minutes I'm still getting the initial notes with a depth from the jasmin. The scent is very delightful and lasts about two hours on my skin.

Used up a 10mL decant and would consider purchasing a full bottle or another decant. I'm still trying to decide if I like this, The Matcha by Le Labo, or Princess By Kilian better for this slot in my collection.

Spouse said it smells like powdered milk chocolate like for hot chocolate with a fruity raspberry scent.

Basically, I am not interested in fragrances with floral notes, but the name of the perfumer, Maurice Roucel, and its tea note, tempted me to get a sample. Unfortunately, as always, the smell of white flowers was more prominent than the rest of the notes, and I realized that I should never buy fragrances that have floral notes as their dominant notes. A simple floral-citrussy fragrance that has a little tea smell in the opening. But its predominant smell is the sick smell of jasmine and orange blossom. Fortunately, the performance and sillage was weak.

archerries

Infinitely more true to name than Le Labo's The Matcha 26. Sweet, earthy, citric and creamy, like white chocolate lemon matcha cookies.

mea194

The only other green tea fragrance I’ve smelled is “Princess” by Kilian and it instantly became a favorite of mine! This one hit me with a beautiful matcha that is still very sweet. There is more of a spice with this one as well. Instead of a marshmallow kind of sweet it has like a white chocolate smell that is sweet but not powdery. There’s also a wonderful white floral smell that accompanies it as well that really shines through as it dries down. The tea note however is note very strong or earthy and it reminds me more of having a matcha latte outside under some fragrant blossom trees. It’s really pretty and as a gourmand lover I love this! But if you are looking for a more earthy realistic matcha scent this may not be for you!

Shvraz

My favourite from the replica collection. Jazz club and BTF get too much love and this one is just swept under the rug and forgotten. Wonderful unisex scent.

gandrasta

Yes, this is not for me. I mean, too much vanillic chocolate that outshined beautiful fresh green tea from initial 20 minutes to the end. Ummm, well... no

twinfantasy

Initial spray is all matcha with a splash of bergamot/orange blossom. Dries down into a pleasant white chocolate matcha latte with subtler notes of moss, cedar, & jasmine/orange blossom. I really love this fragrance but I can see how the prominent white chocolate note might not be for everyone. I agree that it kinda reminds me of Clinique cocoa cashmere. Imo it’s a v good gourmand with notes that I enjoy. It also projects well without being overly cloying and lasts me through the day (the replica line is consistently good at this). It’s a v agreeable scent, one of my favs !

yasalice

This is the tea I want

LeoIsCologneki

I didn’t mind this one as much as I disliked the rest of the replica line, but I still wouldn’t personally wear it. I enjoy the matcha profile but the white chocolate is really overpowering and ruins it for me

Hibiscus7

On initial spray I smell realistic matcha. This fades into a softer matcha, green/fresh scent nicely blended with white florals. I also pick up a small amount of creamy sweetness but also a hint of bitterness. I really like this scent. It is a very enjoyable blended matcha latte scent to myself. But if your looking for matcha scent with nothing else, probably will be disappointed. Although, I'm surprised how many reviews only smell white chocolate.

tkmdrhtt

To my nose, this quickly settles to a slightly floral, creamy chocolate, without citrus or green. It does not remind me of matcha, and I find it similar to Clinique Cocoa Cashmere. Unfortunate that I'm not a fan of chocolate. I thought the citrus and matcha would hold it down.

Zac. frags

Nice green tea like fragrance although chocolate is not for me

jetanach

It’s really smell like Match white chocolate milk, not for me but still a good one

6.5/10

stakasaki

Beautifully creamy and rich white chocolate with some great earthiness from the green tea and mate. Definitely calming, as the name suggests. On my skin, the white floral and bergamot is more in the background, which I really like. I've had this fragrance for almost two years now and my only complaint is the performance, which is very slightly disappointing.

meganlamode

It seems that many people can't smell the matcha in this fragrance, and unfortunately, I'm one of them. It's not a horrible scent - I get a lot of jasmine and orange blossom, and the white chocolate is actually very prominent to my nose - but it's not really what I was looking for. Nothing about this smells like tea, or even resembles anything green, which is unfortunate.

komail

This is very sweet and sour on me. I get some resemblance to matcha tea but very subtle. This is very underwhelming and it disappointed me on many levels. Its feels muddled and like an unfinished product. I wouldn’t wear this even if I was paid to do so.

pepperwhy

I loveee this fragrance. As someone who loves matcha, it reminds me of my favorite drinks. This is a great spring time fragrance for sure. It’s so yummy!!

CaCoJo

I’ve tried so hard to like Replica fragrances but they never work for me. This one has a great tea opening but as it settles, there is a spiciness that just doesn’t work for me.

coolwaterlover

when i smelled this i was speechless i was genuinely baffled how this was literally matcha in the drydown floral scents come in and work with the matcha 10/10

sam9877

Really like this one. For me it has a time, a place and a mood. Wouldn't wear it everyday, but there is something very average about this in the best way possible. For me its very safe easy and inoffensive. Its like going to your grandmothers house, feeling loved as she hugs you and embraced my her gracious femininity. Its cozy like snuggling up and having your favourite cup of tea. You visit her bathroom and notice her pot pourri ( the only one that doesn't offend you ) is nice and fresh, not synthetic, chemically or cheap but pleasant and practical. You leave and smell her perfume on you later and its comforting like she always knows exactly what to tell you to make you feel better. And you wonder how her wisdom has come from age because its still so youthful and joyful at heart.
7/10 but 10/10 for being a solid 7/10
I have also decided for me this is a better fall/winter/spring scent as its lovely and crisp I've just used it on a hot humid summer day and its taken on another personality that I am not enjoying. I feel like I am trapped in a hot guest bathroom somewhere I don't want to be in the 90s deliberating if I can bring myself to use the scented toilet paper or not

whitenine

It smells citrus-y for a very short time on the initial spray. Then turns into a white floral that kinda smells like Jo Malone's Orange Blossom.

I bought this looking for the "white chocolate" note but all I can smell is a faint creaminess. There is no matcha whatsoever in this perfume. Just white floral and cream, but I am not mad.

ellerhur?

It's a great realistic matcha scent. I love wearing it in the late spring/ early summer. I really hope it's not being discontinued because I only have a tiny sample.

MareaCamacho

Layer with Black Opium Le Parfum or Narcotica Happy Dust! ! You're welcome.

ciaramyrea

this smells very very fishy to me, it makes my stomach turn so bad :’(

jdb_

I’ve had to completely ignore both the words matcha and meditation and love this scent for what it is which is a creamy powdery jasmine white chocolate scent with a little bitterness and a lot of citrus (but only in the beginning) I’m actually way crazier about this scent on paper/clothes. The opening blows me away. Alas, those funky green & mouthwatering citrus pops fade within an hour or so on skin and then it’s a sensual and sweet jasmine fragrance (for a while it does smell like jasmine tea which is lovely.) A wee bit of sharpness remains in the dry down. It’s not very matcha-like nor meditative but it is creamy and addicting. Feminine specifically for that dry down.. it honestly kinda reminds me of a brighter/softer version of alien goddess intense (with the near indolic v grapey jasmine). Great projection- bless up.

Warning: First time I tried this on was in dry heat (summer to fall) and it was the most cloying.

MareaCamacho

To my nose the mate, matcha, and white chocolate shine on my skin. I wasn't sure about it at first but after getting to know it more I get similar vibes from another much beloved fragrance I have which is blanche bete. They're not dupes or totally similar by any means but the gourmand notes in MM matcha meditation reminds me of the lactonic milky vibe I get from BB. I have both and smelling them side by side from their atomizers and on my skin-- yes I get similar nuances.

It's just that matcha meditation has this uplifting zingy fresh sunshine happy go lucky winds blowing in my hair and the day is beautiful effect whereas BB is the sensual night time wind down cuddle with my love Netflix and CHIIILLL vibe. They're both gourmand without being edible and I love love love love them ugh.

For me I believe it's back up bottle worthy. Its underrated and flying under the radar in 2024, not really hyped and seemingly polarizing but that's ok it's not for everyone. People either love it or absolutely hate it. I love it. ❤️

P.s someone said in the comments it reminds them of those chocolate covered gummy balls from Japan and I totally get that!!! Except my version is the purple grape and milk chocolate. I truly see that lol 😆

P.s.s the jasmine in here is so strong this gives off "jasmine green tea" vibes as well during the initial spray and mid. I don't normally love white florals but this white floral blend is not in my face nor is it suffocating. It's perfect.

P.s.s.s Layer this with Narcotica Happy dust if you have it.
They share the notes of
-Mate
-matcha tea
-jasmine.
The vanilla in HD give so much creaminess in MM. Love ❤️

rundevilrun

I made the mistake of blind buying this a while back, as a matcha lover, and it's definitely the most odd one in my collection. I can see the comments of white chocolate matcha, but to me it just smells dirty and bitter with a spritz of sugar syrup to cover it up. I left it opened for a few months and came back to it recently in hopes I'd change my mind, to no avail. The dry-down leaves a vague sweetness on my skin but it's nothing to rave about. It's disappointing as I really wanted to like this. I'll stick to only drinking matcha.

Annabelsnose

The matcha (which is bitter to my nose) disappears in about 5 minutes, then it's just a generic sweet white floral. Not for me, but not a scrubber.

Bethfoz

Such a beautiful realistic matcha, very comforting but fresh. Layers beautifully with fig perfumes (eg philosykos)

incat

It's very powdery and not what i was expecting, can't really even smell matcha but i can smell the chocolate for sure. very strong but i'll see how it wears ❣️
UPDATE: its grown on me! def still only smell chocolate and florals but its really nice. def not full size bottle worthy but its worth it to try

Whf

This is the worst fragrance i’ve put my nose on, it’s so bad 1/10 DO NOT BUY straight trash (i’m gatekeeping)

ascended

Just a heads up folks - fragrances being "discontinued" is just a marketing strategy to get you buy more.

kpop_stan

Just a heads up folks - this one's also got the chop. Someone over on reddit claims they contacted the brand and were told that Matcha Meditation is indeed discountined, so I'd act now if this is on your wishlist. (I believe this person because the 30ml has been out of stock everywhere in the UK for nearly 2 years at this point, and it's beginning to sell out in the 100ml too...)

smellworthy

The first spray and the minutes following are divine. I really get the matcha head on, followed by a creamy white chocolate, and I smell like a delicious sweet white mocha matcha.. and then it dries down a bit, and the matcha dissipates completely, and it just smells like every other sweet feminine white floral in Sephora, which is great, but not what I came here for. So I may be slightly disappointed

flynngi

The white chocolate is a weird note to me I just get tootsie roll in this

kyleganbon

I am fairy new to fragrance, meaning I am still experimenting with what I like and dislike. However, this scent in particular was love from first smell. I distinctly remember grabbing fragrances and spraying them on testers in my local Sephora, and then spraying this one and immediately being taken aback. My goodness, it was delicious! In the opening I really get that fresh matcha tea, with a background smell of jasmime and other white florals. It smells so so SO delicious. Some don't consider this scent too gourmande, but I definitely do. I remember while I was shopping at other stores that same day in the mall, I had accidentally gotten some of the perfume on my fingers. I couldn't stop myself from smelling my hands every 5 minutes (I looked like a freak).
Now, after having this for a few months, I can say that this is one of my two most reached for fragrances in my collection so far. I am OBSESSED with it, and the dry down is particularly amazing to me. I saw some say on here that the matcha disappears a little in the dry down, but I don't have that same experience. The matcha for me stays in the dry down for me, as well as that white floral. However, the white chocolate peeps out once dried, and my GOD do I love it.
I get a lot of compliments while wearing this. I've had many say that could smell me across the room, and thats especially true when I layer this with Sugar Addict by BORNTOSTANDOUT.
I really, REALLY would recommend this scent. I love it!

Strawberrykitty

I get an indolic jasmine(not as strong as Armani Rouge Malachite or Lush Lust) with citrus in the opening. Shortly, that softens and the orange blossom and matcha peak through. I don’t get a lot of sweetness in this fragrance while it projects, but the dry down is a sweet, intimate chocolate scent with a hint of the matcha goodness I came here for.

I called MM client services and two different people told me this is discontinued. Just to let you all know.

Morganrway

A lot of people seem to hate on this fragrance for longevity, and maybe it’s my skin or that I layer it on top of lotion and an oil but this fragrance STICKS on me…like 5 sprays total at 7am and I can still smell it on me at night 12 hours later. My husband even said it was “strong” on me when I went to hug him after hour 4-5…honestly lasts and performs better than some of my EDPs.

I LOVE the citrusey, floral middle of this—I mainly get the orange blossom and jasmine which gives it the sweet, crisp freshness of a cup of matcha that’s only been lightly sweetened. But this is by no means a Starbucks sweet match scent. Definitely earthy with a floral sweetness.

This is probably my new go to everyday, cozy, happy scent so I’m glad I went for the big bottle!

Sawcleaver

the scent to me smells like flora vanilla with a lemony smell mixed with candy & it smells like a green fresh lemon tree. (*~.~)

szabó.hédi

At first it’s fresh, very realistic matcha with a dash of jasmine. Then it turns into a creamy matcha latte with white chocolate, just lovely. For me this one is a daytime scent for warmer days like spring and early autumn. When you still want to grab something hot to drink but drink it outside in the sun. Not very long lasting on me unfortunately. Interestingly I have two Replicas (the other one is By the Fireplace) and I love that both of them start as something realistic and unique but then they dry down to something cozy and sweet. Everything becomes sweet on my skin so I always try to find unique scents that are not too feminine, floral or fruity, and I just love these two.

Test strip zaddy

My wife and I love to wear this together when we want to match fragrances. Pure matcha and jasmine at first spray that dries into a yummy floral/white chocolate with a light woodiness at the base that makes this highly desirable for men to want to wear. It’s a gourmand but is also really soothing with its floral and matcha notes. It’s delicious and not so linear, so your appetite for it doesn’t wane after a few hours. Performance is so-so and longevity is also average. But I absolutely love this for daytime wear while doing wholesome activities with my wife. A little pricey, but I can’t get enough of it!

keiramack

Beautiful fresh scent, with lots of white chocolate sweetness that really Balances the tart green accord of green tea. This is uplifting and lovely and dries down so creamy, almost vanilla/chocolate like! Silage is perfect and soft but still smellable from a metre away - it lasted 4/5 hours on skin and turned into a lovely skin scent, and then lasted a good 6 hours on clothing with that extra bit of green tea extending!

preambled

Smells like a warm cup of matcha outside in a garden on a cool day. I really like this one.

socho

This seems to be pretty unpopular but I absolutely love this one. The initial scent is very realistic matcha powder to me, fresh and clean and perfect for warm weather. I don’t get much floral personally and I really love how it mellows out on my skin from super fresh and almost sharp to a creamy sweet matcha. I personally don’t find it to be a very sweet or sickening gourmand at all bc the white chocolate stays in the background for me and the crisp matcha freshness remains the star. This is one of the few more unisex leaning fragrances I like. For me it lasts quite well, I can still pick it up on my clothes and skin 6+ hours later and I think the sillage is moderate which is my preference anyway. I have heard rumours this is being discontinued and I pray that’s not true bc I can’t afford a full bottle at the moment but I definitely would consider buying in the future.
Update- after finding out this is definitely discontinued I splurged on a full size bottle bc I love it so much! Very sad it’s discontinued :(

Marxwick

The opening has a bright and realistic matcha scent. It is like grinding matcha powder in a bowl with jasmine flowers in the background. The herbal bitterness is balanced with the creamy hint of sweet chocolate.
The floral jasmine is more prominent in the dry down, and matcha takes a backseat.
As a matcha lover, I find it a pleasant and zen experience.

DreamInCream

Very comforting, lightly sweetened cuppa tea. At first I smell fresh bergamot, orange blossom and some green tea notes. Next, soft jasmine. Then the stars of the show-
Not too sweet, yet creamy white chocolate and matcha. Jasmine remains while mate and a hint moss and cedar creeps in. Soft jasmine and sweet green tea remains.
This is lovely cup of matcha!

patimbam

I do not smell any form of Jasmine. Smells interesting, but I would not purchase a full bottle of this. try library of fragrance/demeter - CHAI TEA. Better, more long lasting than this.

pathojens

Smells exactly like a matcha tea!! Not overly sweet but is still so comforting and cozy. Reminds me of what the lofi girl would wear in a tea shop as she studies for finals. It smells fresh, probably from the florals, but it doesn’t stick out as a floral scent. It’s not the most long lasting which is sad because it’s not cheap :( I do like it as an after the shower/bed scent since I can get whiffs of it before sleep

ella.t

I drink tea of all kinds and am gradually expanding my collection of tea-scented fragrances. I was so entranced by the idea of a true matcha scented fragrance that I bought the travel spray after a first sniff of that delicious, realistic grassy matcha top note. Alas, I should have heeded the advice of the sales assistant who told me to spray it in store, take a walk and make my decision when the fragrance had developed. On my skin that fresh – and to my nose, very accurate – matcha note almost instantly disappears and after thirty minutes all I can detect is white chocolate and powder.

My lasting impression of Matcha Meditation is one of cloying, creamy sweetness, like a matcha-flavoured KitKat. I would love if some of the greener, fresher notes persisted in the dry down – from what I've seen on this site, this seems a common complaint with regard to fragrances that take their inspiration from tea. I don't know enough about fragrances to know why this is the case, but it does seem somehow fitting that the beauty of a cup of tea, a ritual which marks brief moments of quiet contemplation, can be captured only fleetingly.

I'll give my bottle to a friend who loves this scent, and in the meantime my search for the perfect tea fragrance continues...

gecko_emoji

A nice spring perfume, less literal than some of the other Replica perfumes. Whilst there is a hint of matcha, I mostly smell white floral and white chocolate.

flyagaric

reminds me of those cheap scented mini erasers in the best way possible

o0n3t

smells like matcha powder that they use at like dunkin and starbucks where there's already sweetener mixed in. sounds cloyingly sweet esp since the white chocolate also comes thru, but (to me at least) it really isnt. the herbal-ness/slight smokiness of the matcha comes thru also. i quite like this!!

r41ny

Matcha shortbread cookies that dry down into a chocolatey sweet jasmine on my skin. On fabric, that matcha kitkat scent is sustained a little better. The sillage is weak on me.

I wish this was more matcha and less of everything else. I'll keep looking for a great matcha accord.

Gatorsrules

What a lovely matcha, chocolate and jasmine experience. Normally I’m not a huge gourmand person. This is wonderful. It does well in the heat and the cool temps. It actually stays pretty well on me for being an EDT. If you want a matcha vibe with some florals, this is your Frag!

Figfragfug

The white floral is overpowering, I had a 5ml sample and threw it out. I couldn't get over the fake, chemical smell, gave me a headache. Disappointing.

louierendle

Tried it and it stunk would not recommend

elfwizard69420

i tried a free sample of this and it is on my wish list for sure. Some matcha perfumes miss the mark and land at sort of that generic Fake Tea™ smell, but this smelled like a cup of hot matcha. it's warm but still fresh, grassy and nutty, just a hint of sweet.

bonniexoxo

I liked this fragrance but it's not something I would wear. Inoffensive, sweet and calm. I liked the matcha and chocolate note but I prefer something more complex. I had a feeling it wouldn't last long on my skin either.

valeriadavid

This is delicious - if you like matcha, anyway. Captures that bitterness perfectly, balanced by the sweetness of white chocolate. I normally can't stand jasmine in fragrances, but here it adds a nice touch. Creamy, sweet and greenly fresh at the same time - perfection. Longevity is lacking, but that applies to all MM scents.

s4rangs

This smells exactly like eating this specific grape gummy coated in a thin layer of white chocolate that is then coated in a thin layer of milk chocolate. The chocolate gummy is called Meiji Gummy Choco - Green Grape. I can definitely smell the white chocolate and that base note is the most prominent note as time passes (like 4 hours) while the other fades. I love this fragrance. It's not a light and clean fragrance as like I said it smells like a chocolate coated gummy but it's not heavy or likely headache inducing. It is a very unique fragrance I have never smelled before and it is quite nostalgic to me.

dubdub

This smells like matcha kitkat. I thought the jasmine and orange blossom remind me of the ones in YSL Libre. Didnt like this at first because of the strong florals but after a few wearings i find myself liking it, I just wish the matcha was stronger. Would love to have a full bottle but definitely not buying the retail price.

PawPatrolEDP

Finally tried this today. I've been after a realistic matcha scent for a while now (unfortunately very hard to come by!) and this had my hopes up. Between Le Labo's The Matcha 26 and this one, on paper this stood out to me as much fresher from the jump (probably the citrus) however:
Lots of jasmine. Jasmine on jasmine on jasmine. Fortunately I'm not opposed to it at all, and it reminded me of freshly brewed jasmine tea served in an Asian restaurant, light and bubbly but still full-bodied. I picked up a sample and went back to the stand to spray some on my wrist. Over the course of the day, nothing changed. I thought I caught a creaminess or woodiness but everything mellowed out into the same jasmine. Realistic, lovely and strong, sure, but just not what I was looking for.
Additionally, my 2ml sample broke in my pocket, and I'm fairly sure 2ml of perfume in one go counts as vicious overspraying but the scent has stayed on my clothes and my fingers (and my wallet!) for over 12 hours, so a yay for longevity.
Heard from the salesperson that stock for Matcha Meditation stops coming in from March next year onwards, which either means this scent gets the boot or gets a reformulation. Hopefully MM ends up doing what it says on the tin!

MonicaLV

This is my favorite of all the Replica scents. It does smell like Matcha in the opening but then dries down to a pretty and sweet jasmine with an hint of orange blossom. I am a gourmand lover so that may be why I like this so much. If you don’t like sweet, this isn’t for you.

cadentsun

On one hand, I *kind of* like this fragrance because it loosely smells like jasmine milk tea and glazed mochi donuts (a nostalgic snack pairing that I often enjoy with my mother). There is a scant, mellow-creamy-delicately-sweet part of it that is comparable to its (superior IMO) predecessor, Tea Escape. I get what they're going for with the green tea and white choco gourmand, and I enjoy that part of it, despite it being somewhat nondescript and further into the drydown.

On the other hand... why is there orange blossom in this lol?? That is not a note I think of on the topic of "zen matcha meditation vibes" at all, and I don't ever recall it being a popular note amongst any scented Japanese products. It's a bit screechy and sticks out thematically, but thankfully it's also short-lived, much like the rest of the fragrance. I can only get 1< hour of anything fresh and floral before it turns into a semi-green lactonic skin scent. Those wanting a true matcha latte scent should seek elsewhere.

I love the smell of matcha but this doesn't smell like matcha. It's pretty floral

SoftWisdom

I really like this, it's like a cold refreshing matcha jasmine tea. The only thing stopping me from getting a bottle is that it's so similar to Erawan which is like a hot matcha vanilla latte. I prefer Erawan but MM is also delightful and would be great for warm weather. Matcha Meditation is the 2nd fragrance that I personally like from MMM, my one big love from them is Lipstick On.

MangoPigtails

You first get hit with the smell of matcha latte which then quickly settles down to a very sweet jasmine, think jasmine and tootsie rolls. Almost nauseating at times because it smells like cheap mens perfume that has a lot of powder. The only good part of this is the matcha notes. It's lovely. I hope they get rid of the jasmine note, it makes it smell disgusting, but I am also not a big fan of florals in general

TuesdayTaylor

Wow, I wasn’t expecting such a pretty, feminine scent. This is not a matcha freshie, it’s a lovely, lightly-powdered floral. The matcha is gone quickly and then it turns into a beautiful soft perfume along the lines of Mon Guerlain. This is the prettiest MMM frag I’ve smelled so far. Unoffensive and a safe blind buy for a female of any age. I recommend it. ❤️

sylvividi

Smells exactly like freshly brewed slightly oversteeped green tea. Very bright top notes and very natural. I like it a lot, especially how accurately they reproduced the scent, but I'm not buying a full bottle because I don't want to smell exactly like green tea. I feel this would be more wearable when layered with something else.

mvtyldx

too fresh for me :( i thought that it would be more like matcha latte milky vibe but it’s more green tea with flowers, still pretty tho. also it’s overpriced for such a weak sillage

blackcat02

Starbucks’ matcha cold foam in a perfume! I think I even like this better than the Kilian matcha perfume.

akawanis

Patchouli alert: It's as if they took the *good* parts of Tea Escape (which I'd owned & loved), and added Patchouli to it. If that's a note that you enjoy, by all means try. Not for me. :-(

ag333

this is gorgeous and not like anything I’ve smelled or owned before. the very sweet white chocolate at the end is what’s pulling me in. it’s also creamy so that mixed with floral/earthy tea note is unique to me. It doesn’t necessarily smell like matcha but it does remind me of barista days. I’ll be grabbing this for the spring, and hopefully with a sale.

ShowMustGoOn

If you are looking for 🍵 matcha, good luck! This is a floral 🌸 scent (jasmine and orange blossom) plus some sweet milky scent. It goes into a very buttery phase at first almost popcorn 🍿 butter 🧈 It dries down to something sweet and milky and faintly floral. The opening is better than the mid phase. The dry down is ok.

babypong

Smells like a tootsie roll at first in a great way! love this. I don't get bergamot from it. I get a lot of tea and chocolate vibes out of this. It is a balance of fresh and sweet. Will be buying this at some point. Really loved it.

IzabelaF

Easy to wear and a clean fragrance. You can really smell the fresh green tea. It is just the right amount of creamy. The longevity isn´t great, so I would rebuy it in a sale only.

devoue

smells like white chocolate. floral creamy. i wanted it to smell like matcha :'

salinif

Creamy white chocolate with earthy green matcha running through it.

miffycat

the jasmine and white chocolate scents are delicious but i wish the matcha scent lasted longer, it's a very realistic and nice matcha smell so its a shame. i love wearing it with certain outfits & definitely a spring scent

Dnp224

Have brand new one willing to SWAP.

pynchbookclub

I'm trying to figure out if I like this scent. It's not my typical creamy sickenly sweet gourmand scent, but the white chocolate helps make this more palatable for me. It smells like a white chocolate matcha tea, but there is this sharp note in the opening that I don't really like. But when paired with a creamy vanilla gourmand lotion, such as BBW Sweet Petal Pound Cake or EOS Vanilla Cashmere, it makes it smell quite delicious. I just don't know if I would pay for a full bottle.

Heavenly Heather

Green matcha tea latte with florals in the background. The white chocolate note really stands out and adds creaminess. Yet, the jasmine is pretty prominent throughout too. Really nice blend and different than anything I have in my collection.

Kinnyski

First 5-10 minutes smells like Green tea with Jasmine Milk tea (of Macao Imperial or Happy Lemon) with sea salt creamy foam sprinkled heavily with Matcha powder on top! As time passes the jasmine and green tea take a back seat to the Matcha and white chocolate of Starbucks. I am a Matcha and milk tea addict so this was true love for me! I love it. Can be worn all year round in the tropics day or night. It's fresh and creamy at the same time. Loving my Maison Margiela replica fragrances so far.

suryea

i get a modicum of matcha before this turns into a jasmine bomb. the jasmine is overpowering, a little nauseating, and completely drowns out the other notes that would have helped ground this fragrance. i really wanted to love this but am not getting the fresh vegetal green tea i smelled on paper. far too cloying

a1mili

Much sweeter and more floral than expected. White chocolate and jasmine come across particularly strong.

sekaipie

This was everything I hoped it would be. It’s gourmand but also earthy and fresh. It definitely smells like drinking a matcha latte in the woods. This is a great spring everyday scent.

Richarddanny83

First spray smell chocolate, a tootsie roll chocolate. The chocolate settle then come the tea, its very green. Orange blossom there. Jasmine not strong. Three types of tea here so tea is dominant but not screechy tea. Green floral tea with chocolate to smooth out but mate suppose to smooth tea out.

light_year

This fragrance has a unique personality that's akin to a matcha latte.
In the initial moments, it faithfully captures the essence of true matcha - green, slightly bitter, yet with a hint of sweetness. It's a bold and distinct opening that piques your senses. However, as time passes, it undergoes a transformation, gradually becoming sweeter while still retaining the clean and matcha-inspired character.
It's a fragrance that lingers pleasantly on my skin for an extended period, which is always a plus. What's intriguing about it is its versatility. With its evolving profile, it seems like it could be worn throughout the year, adapting to different seasons and moods.

katesniffer

Such a delicious sweet, bright, yet rich and creamy green tea with Jasmine smell and white choco dry down. Soo gourmand. And sooo unique.

I never thought it smelled exactly like matcha though, UNTIL I tried a Thai green tea matcha drink. I thought it tasted familiar, and it's EXACTLY like my perfume. I guess they were inspired by Thai matcha which includes Jasmine....

So they really captured a food/memory into a smellable form, as the branding suggests. amazing.

Sadly, im not sure if the scent projects or lasts very long.Ive heard Replica scents dont. So I just mix it with unscented lotion incase. Overall though, current fav perfume. art.

emily385

It smells a bit sweeter than I was expecting. The white chocolate note is definitely strong, but not unpleasant. It kind of smells like a sweet, matcha latte

stillalive

This one delivers a powerful and not entirely pleasant kick while wet! It was a kind of earthy smell that I wouldn't generally associate with matcha—possibly moss? But I normally like moss... In any case, I did NOT expect to like this one, but I'm definitely warming up to it the longer I wear it. It's giving BPAL Embalming Fluid or Chanel No 19, which are two scents I wouldn't say smell like each other, but they both smell a fair bit like this. Since moving to Florida, No 19 hasn't smelled right on me at all, so I'm hoping Matcha Meditation will do more what I wanted No 19 to in hot weather. It's very cooling, and I think that tiny hint of sweetness from the white chocolate will keep me from smelling like mulch in hot weather!

Zizuuu

Incredible, for 4 hours. This fragrance is so gorgeous. The white chocolate base note is so unique and beautiful, adds the perfect amount of sweetness. This smells like having a cup of sweetened matcha by your mouth in a modern new cafe with white flowers by your table and the person next to you ordered a citrus refresher.
I just wish it lasted longer. I give this 4 hours and it’s gone. Sillage also winds down after half an hour of wear. I only get compliments on this right after I put it on. I do feel this is typical of green tea scents though. Great blind buy IF you’re a green tea / matcha lover and are okay with it drying sweet. Otherwise sample this first.

Steellette

This has quickly become one of my new favorites. It smells like a very orange zest citrus & green tea fragrance. Less on the sweet side and more on the bitter side like orange zest rather than the inner fruit. So extremely bright, summery and long lasting. Love it. Sweet citrus & tea. Fresh and invigorating. I smell myself all day when I wear this cologne. It is one of the strongest in my collection. If you want to smell original and unlike anyone you know or will meet, this is a truly amazing option. There is just something about this scent that draws me to it. It's just so different than what I usually wear and it almost captivates me. It's a shame I just found out about it, as this is going to be in my spring/summer rotation for sure.

santblue

I got this thinking the matcha or tea scent would be more prominent, but the white chocolate was overpowering and slightly cloying to me (maybe I'm just not a fan of chocolate notes).

paulamurrrz

I received a small tester of this and fell in love with how it smelled on my skin, a very fresh open and an almost woody dry down, so I purchased the full bottle… only to be slightly let down, it didn’t perform as well as the tester, yes, you get the citrus, green tea/matcha opening for the first hour or so, after that it’s just a sweet, white chocolate dry down. It’s still a very nice scent great for transition months, just wish the green tea lingered longer 4/5

torres_jake

Coming from someone who's not a fan of white florals, the combination of Jasmine, Tea, and Matcha with the White Chocolate in this smells DIVINE! So so so good. Feminine leaning.

Similar to the other replica frags, I'm not really bothered by the sillage or projection, I wear them just because I like smelling them on myself, I just wish this lasted longer though.

Scent 10/10
Longevity 6/10

y_lang

sugary sweet, smells like the inside of a boba shop. matcha is present and recognizable, fades. it smells nice, but on me princess by kilian reads similar but has a more balanced, elegant composition

BrokeandBougie

I had high hopes for a dry, vegetal matcha scent but instead, Matcha Meditation is overwhelmed by its jasmine accord. The green tea here is very floral, and more similar to typical “Green Tea” scents on the market. Very perfumey.

httrung32

Starts with a refreshing burst of bright citrusy green tea, then gradually becomes a creamier green tea white chocolate delight. It sounds like a delicious Japanese tea party, but it’s actually a fragrance for your body...what! A realistic fragrance that I do not really enjoy wearing, to be honest, I would enjoy it more as a candle or a room spray. It’s not that it smells bad, it’s just that it’s too feminine even for me. That’s why I decided to sell my bottle online, and luckily I found a buyer who loves it. She said it makes her feel calm and happy, which is great for her. I hope she gets more use out of it than I did. Maybe she’ll even find enlightenment with it, who knows?

sleepygirlsmells

this was a disappointing sniff because I enjoyed the first sniff because it smelled earthy and like matcha but the dry down was overpowered by the jasmine

kitkatya

on paper it was photorealistic matcha with a touch of sweetness, but on my skin it’s strong white chocolate with a hint of tea. so disappointed and really regret buying it, but it’s still nice, just too gourmand

ievaid

matcha meditation starts, true to its name, with a puff of dry and warm matcha powder; it reminds me of baking matcha desserts, before the sugar is added. i like that it's distinctively matcha-y, with that earthier aroma than standard green tea.

after about five minutes, though, the fragrance has completely changed in character: that clear matcha vanishes, though vague green tea notes linger, and jasmine and bergamot are now very dominant. at this stage it reminds me a little of artemisia by penhaligon's, which was a fragrance i used to love (until i ran out of it) and didn't expect to re-encounter in this. this scent is very fresh, but way more floral and feminine than i thought it would be. it has a very spring-appropriate feel and relatively good performance compared to other scents in the replica line. the base notes balance woodyness and moss with a hint of creamy sweetness from the white chocolate.

overall, i do enjoy it and i think it's a gorgeous fragrance, even though i expected more androginy, more matcha, and a more... well, meditative tone, leaning into the green astringency of tea. great if you're a fan of bergamot and jasmine, just don't expect it to follow through on its name after the initial spray.

washudtoj

Matcha Meditation is so overrated, in my opinion.

Tea, matcha, mate, and a tiny hint of oakmoss - these are all I detect...

And those notes aren't even close to the real thing. There are other brands that 'replicate' tea and matcha scents much better than this and don't cost you an arm and a leg. This one is, my apologies, a ripoff.

Fragrances from this house vary from extremely good (Lazy Sunday Morning) to not-so-impressive (Whispers in the Library, Matcha Meditation). This one is just simply overpriced, overhyped, and overrated.

I don't think I can meditate whilst wearing this scent, not because it's not calming (it kinda is, actually) but because I'll always be reminded how MMM stole my money with this juice.

Those who truly love tea fragrances will know what 'real' tea fragrances are supposed to smell like, and this ain't exactly it.

fragrancegorlie

All I get is a mossy chocolate grass. I’ve had it for months and months now, and I keep revisiting it hoping that it’ll be different, or that I’ll be able to pick up something else in the fragrance. It’s a scrubber for me unfortunately

MazaZilite

To me the opening is not matcha, but rather that of a freshly brewed cup of fragrant jasmine tea. Like some of the other Replica scents I have tried, there is an initial oiliness (not tarry though), which is somewhat cloying. It is a pleasant enough fragrance, but it seems to me to be missing something. Perhaps the name "Matcha Meditation" invites comparisons to zesty green tea scents, such as Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. Certainly I feel that this scent would benefit from a little more zing, and I am going to try layering it with l'Occitane Herbae tomorrow to see if this brightens things up. The longevity of this Replica scent is not great, and it had faded to almost nothing but the faintest skin scent after a couple of hours.

As an amusing footnote, my daughter told me I smelled like I had been vaping after I had sprayed it on myself!

Update: This scent is slowly growing on me. As the weather warms up I sense that I will be wearing this more and more. I have tried layering this fragrance with l'Occitane Herbae (and have received many compliments), as well as with Under The Lemon Trees, but I am warming to the fragrance itself. Time will tell whether this becomes a like or love from me, but at the moment it is looking promising!

gorgeous_and_strong

This scent would be be improved by smelling better.

hikatievita

one of my all time favorites! perfect for spring/summer, but i also want this to be my signature scent. it’s bright and sweet but also memorable. i always get compliments when i layer this with other scents. i love the way it lingers on my clothes. this is my most expensive perfume, so i will probably find an oil impression once it runs out.

CR95

Opening is a bit too bitter. Definately smells like matcha powder. Then it goes away after 30 min and your felft with a milky skin scent for maybe max 2 hours.
not long lasting enough for me

maddieonline

I bought this for my boyfriend and it is just incredible.
My boyfriend typically wears Coffee Break by Margiela or Whispers in the Library, so I bought him this for his birthday as I know he likes other fragrances from Margiela. This is definitely unisex and lasts for about 6-7 hours on him.
The tea note is incredibly prominent but in a good way - think a small tea shop as opposed to someone with stinky tea breath. It becomes creamy and green and smells delicious on the dry-down.
I would recommend this a million times over.

lotusvibes

I’ve been trying to figure out what this fragrance reminds me of and then it finally hit me! This fragrance is very similar to both Princess by Killian and Love Me by Victoria’s Secret. I feel you love those two and that type of fragrance family, you will then love this! Matcha Meditation definitely has a Matcha vibe going on but is also a pretty gourmand that’s quite sweeter than I’d expect from Matcha as it can traditionally be a tad bitter. Beautiful fragrance, something I enjoy and would love to be in the company of if someone else is wearing it… but it’s not really me. I think I was hoping for a more earthy and calming vibe.

Update: I wore this fragrance all day at work. Lasted my whole 8 hour shift. But again, it’s just a sweet floral gourmand. At points half way through the day I really wasn’t fond of it and wanted to scrub it off because gourmands are just not me. My coworker asked if I was wearing Flowerbomb and I kind of agree that it wears like that. Has an authentic matcha note at the start but does not wear like that at all (at least on me). Again, you’d love this if you like those floral gourmand types of fragrances. Nothing like Tea Escape.

kingderella

The opening and heart are a beautiful matcha note that is slightly bitter and green and reads as slightly masculine to me. The base is more creamy-sweet, which I personally don't love. Still, overall a thumbs up!

JuliaQueen

I really wanted to like this because I miss Tea Escape very much. Matcha Meditation is not what I expected, it's just a blast of bitter matcha powder, very overpowering!

BloomingSomewhere

I've been searching for a matcha scent and upon first spray I thought this would be the one. It smells exatly like the wafer part of a super sweet matcha kitkat bar. However, as it dries down I smell such a strong synthetic sweetness that it completely ruins the experience for me :( Every time I give it another chance I end up having to take a shower or scrub my skin a few hours later to get the scent off of me ASAP!

sxatoo

The opening does smell like matcha but when it dies down it just smells sweet and floral. nothing special and not worth the price tag unless you buy it at a discounter. was extremely underwhelmed I don't even smell matcha anymore just sweet and floral.

Amanda1789

Couldn’t try this in store, so I ordered it online. I love coffee break and by the fire place so I was excited for this one. First spray is OVERWHELMING. It made me feel very nauseous. I waited for the dry down and it was very floral with a sweetness that I think was the white chocolate. I see what they wanted it to be but it’s just not good. Sadly had to return. If you want a sweet- green tea fragrance try Kilian Princess! It’s the better version of this one. It doesn’t last a super long time on skin but it’s decent! Very cozy and you can overspray it without making yourself sick! Lol

flem

As soon as it opens all I can smell is sweet grape soda. I’m not sure what’s giving off the grape note, but the sweetness seems like it's coming from the white chocolate. I don’t pick up any of the other notes independently. It’s a pretty light, airy scent other than that slightly cloying soda vibe.

As the middle starts to show up, the florals start to come out. I can start picking out the jasmine and the general vibe of white floral. It’s quite feminine at this point. Not at all what I was hoping for or wanting. Not green tea at all.

boozya

I thought I would like it, but it ended up smelling like a cheap aromatherapy roll-on from Bath & Body Works. I didn't hate it, but it was just meh, especially given the price. It was chemically green and musky and overtly synthetic. Probably works better as a candle, but either way a huge pass.

aKa_anthrax

I ended up really liking it even though it isn't my usual scent profile, I think I just love tea so much. For starters the matcha note is extremely realistic, it really does smell like it, though it smells more like matcha powder and less like a brewed cup, not bad just something to note, it dries down into a sweet floral-chocolatey thing with a bit of woodiness, not as interesting but still pleasant, I don't get any mate. Also surprisingly long performance for being a Margiela scent and a green, I got like a full 8-12 hours with some help from working in a hot environment

supersaiyan

Opening was promising with a blast of matcha with a delicate edge of bitterness that smelled pleasant enough. Soon into the dry down -- disgusting, just a mess of synthetic notes like nearly all the offerings from this brand. Sweet synthetic jasmine dominates and smells like most of the other generic feminine offerings in Sephora. I advise you not to wear this in the summer unless you hate your coworkers and yourself.

96am

super beautiful. i bought a bunch of their fragrances since they had a "sale" (back to their original salesprice since their price hike) and i didn't know when else i'd be able to at this price, and i'm so glad i took the risk with matcha meditation. when i picked up my package, i brought the whole thing to my work so all my coworkers could also smell them, and this was definitely a fan favorite with three of five people telling me it was their favorite (compared to bubble bath, coffee break, on a date, and by the fireplace).

it's a super creamy sweet matcha- think starbucks matcha latte. very sweet, very creamy. the jasmine helps to add a bit of freshness. i never get any of the citruses (which is fine, i didn't buy it for them lol), and i only get some of the woody mossiness towards the end of its life.

overall, it's a favorite at my workplace, and i'm sure it'd be much more of a fanfave if it wasn't online exclusive.

cellarspider

Oh how I wish that fleeting whiff of bitter, calming matcha lasted longer; instead, in a matter of minutes, it is completely overtaken by a saccharine sweetness that only seems to get sweeter with time. Thought I'd found "the one" on initial spray, but was quickly let down. This isn't unpleasant; it is bright and inviting, with a nice jasmine note (underneath the sweetness...)- just not what I was looking for in a "matcha" scent.

Marie0189

This is one of the worst perfumes I've smelled to date. I don't know if it's the mixture of green tea and moss or what but this smells so harsh, screechy, synthetic and just overall not good. I got none of that white chocolate note and to be honest I'm not sure what note was taking precedent on my skin but this smelled like an earthy, dirty & alcoholic mess. Absolutely not worth the money in my opinion. This was the last Maison Margiela fragrance I tried and I won't be trying any more, I don't think this perfume house is for me.

ohmydarlingcats

Green tea. Yes. Matcha? NO. No matcha no meditation. It would need some earthy notes. More moss. Less bergamot and maybe even no mandarin at all.

The idea is great but compared to Sunday by Arielle Shoshana it’s just… very lacking. If they wanted to go with white chocolate I think they’d also benefit from some warm milk… the way it is, is just too little for this kind of money

tilly222

This fragrance is absolutely gorgeous. It starts out as a very realistic matcha. Very earthy and green, just straight up matcha. As the fragrance dries down, the creamy white chocolate and jasmine really shine through and work so beautifully together.

I wore this to work and got so many compliments. I wanted a fragrance that would be pretty inoffensive, with not too much projection and this was perfect. Everyone around me could get a whiff, but it’s not over powering.

zsuzsie

definitely very powdery and tea like smell at first, after about 20 minutes i smell way more of the white chocolate accord and the matcha becomes much softer. to be honest, i dont get too much of the citrus notes but kind of prefer it that way >< i love this scent so much and how it balances perfectly between fresh and warm because of how clean it smells but is powdery and sweet without being too rich. only comment is i wish it lasted longer but not bad for an EDT. to make it last better i’ll layer with the Shiro white tea body milk or LCP Dior Eden Roc to balance out the sweetness a bit but def reccomend MM!

kimcheesey

got a little sample from scentsplit since i have been wanting to try this one for a while. it opens a bit on the medicinal, herby side for me, but then dries down to a nice sweet matcha with a hint of the white florals. i was on the hunt for a nice spring and summer scent, this might be the one for me!

beautyjolic

I enjoy drinking green tea with jasmine so I was hoping the fragrance wouldn't disappoint me. Luckily it didn't, it's a very realistic smell of jasmine tea. The perfume is refreshing and at the same time warming. It can both feel like coming back home at winter to have some green tea with jasmine and like drinking cold matcha in the garden full of jasmine vines depending on the ambience.

I love me some white florals, they really perform well on my skin most of the time so this fragrance is a great addition to my collection.

The only problem I've experienced is that it doesn't last long on my skin, maybe two-three hours and then I stop smelling it.

Enrium

I enjoy a well-placed tea note in perfume, so was curious to try Matcha Meditation for a while. It is a little uneven, but has points of interest, and the tea accord is well-rendered.

MM opens with a fresh, slightly herbal green tea note, refreshing and restorative, bolstered by a realistic white chocolate note. This bold opening is attention-grabbing and delicious, reminiscent of a very specific snack I enjoy: jasmine green tea with Madagascan vanilla white chocolate. Bergamot adds an Earl Grey-like quality, in keeping with the tea theme, and the herbal, raw matcha of the title follows.

Unfortunately, it runs out of steam after this impressive opening subsides - often the way with Replica scents. A thin, synthetic jasmine note emerges - the kind that doesn't work well with my skin chemistry. However, the honeyed orange blossom gives it body as it develops further, adding sweetness and making it more pleasant, but it is less interesting than the opening.

It dries down to a sweet, powdery skin scent, becoming increasingly musky as it fades. Some woody notes add depth, but I don't get much mossiness. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

A unisex spring/summer scent, MM is one of the better Replicas - nicely evocative of its theme and a pretty good scent overall with several points of interest. I always appreciate creativity in perfumery - and bonus points for being evocative. 3.5/5.

I am shock that I am deleted my old review, this is my parfume every night before I sleep. I just need that bitter matcha-mate sensation before I sleep. But unfortunately it's gone too fast. The dry down also lovely, that make this parfume easy to wear on daily basis. Not cloying or plasticky. It's just fresh and girly.

Update : Def can smell the white chocolate on dry down

katjashba

This doesn’t smell like a sweetened matcha latte, if that’s what you’re expecting, but it does smell like pure bitter finely ground matcha.

KatBat13

I absolutely love the fresh smell of green tea. Maison Margela is usually very accurate at replicating scents, but they missed the mark on Matcha. I tried the Maison Margela Replica Matcha Meditation (which cost about $30 for the 10ml) and I barely smell green tea at all. I got A'Pieu Fresh Green Tea from YesStyle and was so pleasantly surprised by how great it is. It is fresh and light, and you definitely get the green tea scent. My rollerball cost around $6.00 and has been a great investment. The Matcha Meditation is really more of a floral scent - very heavy on jasmine, in my opinion.

cribbycrab

The way the white chocolate pops out & melts with the matcha is making me drool, love it. Makes me want to try out more from the house.

JmThms

This is not a bad Replica effort. I've never tasted a creamy matcha latte, but like others below say, that is what I imagine this replicates. The tea, white flowers, and white chocolate are very well blended. And I do not see this as leaning feminine, despite the white flowers. I'm surprised by the dislikes of this, but roses are red, violets are blue, and all noses are different too.

lovedive

opening is a realistic grassy matcha with a clean lemon undertone that i really love, but as time goes on it smells like a jasmine bomb with a subtle sweet undertone from the white chocolate on my skin. disappointing that the true matcha note doesn't last outside of the initial spray and i think this needs a fruity citrus scent layered with it for it to shine

SmeagolsSister

Just like a honey, matcha, and steamed milk latte!

This fragrance smells so fresh, sweet, and cozy. It feels like cozying up with a sweetened hot matcha latte on a cool spring day with perfect weather. It makes me long for cool days of relaxing on my hammock outside reading a good book.

I started with just a sample of this and absolutely knew I needed to upgrade to a full bottle of this and make it my signature scent! I don't know that I would pick to wear this in the winter (when I'd be more likely to select a vanilla or warm spicy scent), but this is perfect for daytime during the other months!

The scent lasts about 8 hours on me, has moderate projection, and it smells strongly of white chocolate and sweet moss on my skin by the end of the day.

cyclone1391

Well I'll give it to them, very matcha. I was hoping for more white chocolate but can't detect any of it on my skin. Matcha, jasmine, and some other tea note. Very fresh. White floral notes aren't my thing but this is one of the better Replica fragrances IMO. I could see a man pulling this off as well.

OceanLife

Very accurate and creamy matcha latte. Opens up with a strong, straight matcha, develops into a matcha latte then turns into a floral, creamy jasmine on me. It smells VERY luxurious and mature, but is so appropriate for any adult no matter what age. I still get whiffs of matcha when I go about my business, super pleasant for matcha lovers, whether you like it as a latte or just a tea by itself, it hits both of those vibes. Unique and beautiful. It’s not my favourite because I’m not a white floral or jasmine person, but I don’t get annoyed with it because it’s not overwhelming and the floral is wonderfully balanced out by the creaminess of the white chocolate. This is 100% a spring fragrance without much versatility for other seasons tbh.

Okay since leaving this review I’ve kept using this more and its grown on me so much that I actually ordered a full bottle. Ppl now know this as my signature fragrance. This is liquid gold. I usually don’t go towards white florals or green scents but the creaminess and sweetness on dry down makes it so amazing, and it will be so unique to my collection because of its notes.

Shan101beauty

This scent is very different from anything i have smelt. It is a unusual mix of white chocolate and tea. It is more sweet than fresh. I get mostly the white chocolate and a bitter green tea and citrus with some florals in the background. Sometimes i feel the chocolate and green notes are clashing, but i still enjoy it.

kpop_stan

I'm surprised how many people disregard this as a "poor rendition" of a matcha fragrance. Granted I know skin chemistry can play a big part, but to me is a dead ringer for a matcha latte.

In the opening Matcha Meditation is light and fresh with a bit of citrus (and I do mean just a bit: it's surprisingly subtle, given how easily citruses can dominate, and I'm glad because I think a strong hit of citrus would clash horribly here), but beyond the initial opening it develops into a sweet and musky, vaguely floral, somewhat salty/bitter fragrance. The florals too are there but subtle, which again I appreciate as they have a tendency to dominate.

For me the chocolate comes through strongest alongside the mate/matcha, and orange blossom (and jasmine, slightly, but I definitely notice the orange blossom more) follows close behind. That chocolate sweetness doesn't stick around for very long, though; it's all but gone at the 2 hour mark, and in its final phase I only get the mate/matcha, some woodiness, and a very subtle hit of jasmine but that's perfectly fine by me - the matcha is what I'm here for after all!

Longevity is okay. if I want to amp it back up I reapply after 4 or 5 hours, but usually I just let it be and have it fade out because it makes for a very beautiful skin scent.

I feel like this will really shine in the Summer months - it's something a bit different, since the brand managed to take something that would traditionally translate as something rich, gourmand, heavy and comforting (making it more suitable for Autumn and Winter) and managed to strip it back to something lighter, but still substantial enough to stick around for a few hours. Get this is you like green tea, DEFINITELY get this if you're craving a Summer scent that isn't just yet another fruit, citrus, watery/ozonic composition.

so happy I finally have this. I have been eyeing this since 2021. I wanted to get this because I have heard people saying that it smells like Green Tea KitKat. Seeing that it has Matcha and White Chocolate, it kind of made sense. does it really smell like it? Yes, a little bit, in the entrance. It starts off strong with Matcha and some citruses, and lingers there for a few minutes. Then it immediately becomes all floral with jasmine being more prominent. So it is essentially a white floral scent with some hints of matcha and a little sweet and creamy touch from the white chocolate. I really enjoy this, but keep in mind that I am a big fan of white florals. Personally, I would consider this as exclusively a spring and summer day scent, but I can also see how this will work fine for cool spring and summer nights. maybe then the Matcha will stay a bit longer, and more of the white chocolate comes through. simple and beautiful!

brooklynbby

a lovely fragrance for most weather. clean, sweet, and a touch cozy. that being said, I am not getting the green-ness I initially hoped for. to my nose, the matcha is faint even in the beginning. it contributes to the overall freshness of the fragrance, but it ends up being an ambiguous background for the flowers and white chocolate, shortly before dissapearing entirely. that being said, it is a gorgeous scent

katjashba

When you layer this with Under the Lemon Tree, the chocolate really comes through.

meowjaz

tried this in-store! i was so surprised by the opening - just like its namesake, it smells identical to a soothing cup of milky matcha 🍵 i didn't get to smell the dry down, but the opening is very loud and a bit too earthy for me !! matcha lovers will love this though :))

vivaLVmarie

People saying they don’t like the initial scent, get out of here! 🤣 It’s a matcha scent so expect the matcha!

This is the closest matcha you can ever get. It’s very true to its notes. I kinda like it. But the matcha is very short lived. Just a few minutes, matcha’s gone. But the orange blossom and jasmine are fighting, while moss is like a referee and cedar’s waving hello hehe. It’s pretty I would say. More feminine leaning. I like it in my skin better than my clothes. Very spring like scent. I blind bought a 1 oz bottle, but maybe not repurchase. I have a Prada Paradoxe and the smell reminds me of that on my skin minus the neroli.

TarahB

Blind bought a 100ml bottle, soon wished I didn’t.
I didn’t like the opening but didn’t mind the dry down. Ended up selling for less than half the price as I knew I wouldn’t be wearing it, on a positive note it had good lasting power!

elakaysniff

I WISH I could smell what other reviews are describing. I got of tester of this to try as it sounds like my ideal sent and was horrified when I sprayed it! To me, this smells like rancid chocolate with some kind of green note that really clashes. Maybe my tester was off, but I couldn't use it. Washed it off and threw it away.

tokyobubblepop

A bit disappointed, I was hoping for a strong matcha / tea scent but all I can pick up on me is the floral notes. Still a pretty scent but not what I was expecting!

raeseo2000

Pleasant gourmand-floral. Does have a musty quality at first, like earthy, I guess, then gets a bit more fresh/clean as it dries, almost watery floral, with sweet white choc. Matcha doesn't really last but the white choc does. Definitely nicer fully dry for me, and last 4-5 hours. Reminds me of a sexy room spray, or bougie car scent or something a lil bit lol.

jaehyuns

i just smelled this at nordstrom and was obsessed at first sniff. it’s like an iced matcha latte with whipped cream on top

stephanienwc

The initial 30 minutes are amazing. Perfect replica of powdered matcha with some marshmallows (but its actually white chocolate). Then it dries down into a very solar Alien?! I love the dry down too, but it's a totally different vibe from first spray.

ashdenies

Very nearly the perfect green tea scent for me, but just slightly missed the mark and ended up being something I enjoy but probably won’t purchase. The opening is this light, fresh, creamy matcha scent, which was exactly what I was hoping for, but as it dries down those white florals come to the forefront. They’re nice white florals, and balanced by the oakmoss and cedar that also start to come through, but the result is still more floral and feminine than I’d prefer. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a feminine green tea scent.

thatis.edwin

Yes, it gives you the matcha vibes, but not for too long. It becomes sweeter at the end, so it probably fits girls more than boys

joikgirl

So earthy and matcha at the same time. You even get that white chocolate when you put your nose really close to it. This is a very much a "me" fragrance. I will be wearing it when I want to feel better or relax on my own, this is not really suited to go out in the public fragrance. I will be layering it though, saw on TikTok someone pairing this with This is Her (one of my own faves) and will be trying it out.

For green tea and matcha lover this is MUST.

consuelle

Creamy but earthy, you can smell the green notes. I feel like a fairy when I spray this perfume. I got the small 10ml size but i for sure want the full bottle.

Alexxci

Opens up with a very strong burst of pure matcha, similar to the high-grade powder you can get from Japanese retailers, with a sweet backbone. Once it begins to settle, strong floral notes begin to appear.

The scent quality is apparent and it paints a very photorealistic representation of the name. I do enjoy it, but I can't imagine a scenario where I would wear this publicly. If you enjoy tea scents, and want to smell like a lovely matcha frappe with some florals while reading a book -- then this would be it.

As far as tea scents go, I would say this is the best one I have come across thus far.

SELFCARE_INTROVERT

I’m not sure how I feel about this one…it’s a Sweet Green Creaminess. It’s not super sweet to Me it seems I’m only picking up the Deeper Notes the Cedar; Moss; and the Green Tea. I’m not sure how I feel about this one. I’m going to test it out with a Sweeter Scent maybe Kilian Princess but as of now. I’m going to hold onto the Travel Size I have and revisit it later. It’s a nice scent I just don’t know if it’s for Me.

matchameditationLOVER3229

Absolutely LOVE this fragrance. Very Elegant, use this every day. Smells like soft pillowy cushions and matcha. If anyone ever SAYS this is a bad fragrance is completely an IDIOT. I would die for this perfume, I would SELL my left nut sack for this PERFUME. I WOULD sacrifice my FIRSTBORN for this perfume. Anyways its good can definitely smell the floral scents.

nhubella

I immediately fell in love with this perfume right after the 1st spray!
At first, I sense full of freshly brewed green tea with little bitterness, later on, the sweetness comes out gently.
It's so refreshing and calming. It's also very elegant and attractive.
Such a perfect tea perfume to me!

amyw

I missed out on this before it was discontinued. I then decided to become obsessed with owning this; and so I search high and low for it. I ended up paying $370 NZD (compared to the retail of approx $200).
I was more than happy to pay the mark up. This scent is beautiful. It’s smooth, silky, light, creamy, fresh, clean. It’s like a Chinese mantou in the form of a perfume.

gxbjw

Matcha latte is my favourite drink, so this should be great no matter what, as long as they strike the resemblance.

Boy, have they done it…. For like 30 minutes.

Sweet, green and creamy — just like the beverage. There are vanillic and citric elements that balance the scent profile.

Unfortunately, it’s only in the opening.

It’s a straight up a white floral fragrances in the drydown, like I can’t even detect other facets of the scent.

The performance? Horrid.

After the matcha latte opening that can you easily detect, the jasmine-leaning drydown is so weak and you have to dunk your nose to smell anything. Longevity doesn’t even touch 4 hours.

Hard pass.

smellbluebewwies

Bought this for my sister's birthday so I smell it on her everyday - i'd say it was a successful buy! The scent started out green and fresh in the bottle, definitely smells like a tea. But once sprayed on skin it smells like grape candy. Sour grape candy - and this is a compliment. Almost has a milky/ yakult-y smell that gives off more sweet than tea. I like the scent, although I think the name is a bit misleading. Suits my sister too, I think its a young scent but is also complex enough to be a long-time scent. But definitely for those who like sweet scents. Longevity seems good too! Can always smell it even at the end of the day.
EDIT: just took a look at the notes and the sweet creaminess i'm describing must be the white chocolate note which makes so much sense!! I think this and the floral notes mix to give off a sort of creamy grape scent. interesting mix!

thecellophaneflower

Am I the only one that thinks this is WAY too sweet? Maybe because people are used to drinking sugary matcha lattes instead of the actual tea itself...
To me, this smells closer to a matcha milkshake than actual matcha tea leaves.
I wish I smelled more of the citrus and tea notes, but the white chocolate is the predominant scent.
That said, I do tend to prefer more "unisex" fresh tea scents.

LaMiaRosa

I surprisingly really like this! Upon first spray it smells very strongly like matcha and only matcha. As it dries down though I really get the white florals, and a creaminess from the white chocolate. This is really quite unique to me. I'm wearing it on a hot summer day and it's great. Would be lovely in spring too, definitely a daytime scent. Might just end up buying a bottle!

osakinuit

reading all the reviews underneath got me a bit anxious after my bottle was on its way to me and I was starting to think that it was a mistake buying another perfume blindly but to my surprise it’s actually a really nice scent (I’m saying this cause I don’t usually buy fresh or green scents) and I can actually smell the matcha in this. it smells like matcha latte, it’s not the typical green scent I’d imagine (thanks to the bergamot, orange, white flowers and chocolate) it makes me feel calm in some way and I think it’s the first perfume I thought would be great to wear to work. I see why some people are saying it’s nauseating, but I’m blaming the cold weather for this (fresh scents give me a headache in a colder weather lol) so I can’t wait to try it out when it gets warmer outside :) the sillage isn’t that bad, I thought it’d be intimate but as for edt it’s pretty cool :)

Dylan.C

This fragrance doesn't start out with matcha which is earthy, slightly smokey and slightly heavy and that's OK. The opening reminds me instead of mass produced sweet (Poka) jasmine green tea that I'd pay 90cents/bottle for from my primary school canteen in Singapore. This is a good thing to me. This fragrance opens sweet, floral and refreshing, with green tea (not matcha) playing a supportive role.

The "white chocolate" note is not present until somewhere in the middle dry down and isn't really white chocolate per se. Instead, the white chocolate lends a heavier and smokier feel to the fragrance which starts to transform into something closer to matcha. Mind you, this fragrance never truly becomes a matcha fragrance in my mind. It's remains too sweet and too floral and almost entirely lacks bitterness to be matcha that you'd get from matcha powder. Ultimately, I really enjoy this fragrance - i'd be keen to know if anyone shares my view about the sweet bottled jasmine green tea angle. I believe that Poka (brand name) Green Tea should be a common find in most Asian groceries.

asiarakk

I’m sorry, but this matcha + white chocolate combo makes me nauseous. I like drinking matcha, but as a perfume.. super weird combination. Not a blind buy. Not for me.

ChocoLei

I think this one is my favourite tea fragrance as of now. That being said, I wouldn't have named it Matcha Meditation because the vibe it gives me is far from a meditative state.

It's one of the brightest, most uplifting, happiest scent I've ever smelled. If it were a person, it would be one hell of an adorable, pure-hearted, kind soul. It's so pretty and optimistic.

At first spray, you are met with a blast of green tea and puffed rice. Very green (obviously) but with a shuffle of roasted rice--- it's sooo addictive.

After some time, comes a fresh & youthful bouquet of jasmine flowers. The overall result feels very sunny and, once again, fresh. It's opulent and light at the same time. The green tea is still there, mingling with the jasmine. I don't get much of the orange blossom though, even though it may be where the bright & "solar" vibes of the middle notes are coming from.

The first time I tried MM, I did get the balmy, white chocolate in the dry down--- it wasn't in my face but peeking through the other notes from time to time, giving me a surprising gourmand experience. Nowadays, I don't get it anymore but I still get a mild & fleeting sweetness as the perfume gets to the dry down. Not distinctly chocolatey, but I guess it's a matter of ph?

I don't get the reviews saying this perfume is a mess and that notes are clashing with each other. Everything feels very harmonious to me.

For an EDT, projection and longevity are surprisingly good. I was testing this on one arm and Olympéa Solar EDP on the other. Olympéa Solar was doing the most for the first couple of hours before mellowing and getting really quiet past the 4-5 hours mark, while MM was still radiating at arm-length. After +8 hours, MM was still there, even though as a skin scent, while Olympéa Solar was no where to be found.

I think you could actually wear this all year-round but spring and summer REALLY make this perfume the most gorgeous justice. This is when MM shines the best.

She's a cutie pie wearing a mid-length, light-colored flowy dress, happily riding her bike in a park. It's June. Nature is thriving. She's meeting her friends for a picnic. Her smile is beaming.

GrenadeGirl

Ok, so I genuinely really do like this one... but it was not at all what I was expecting. I wore Arden's Green Tea as my signature scent for many, many years (and still wear it now), but to me there is very little common ground here, inspite of many similar notes. (This is not necessarily a bad thing though, who wants dozens of identikit scents?)

It has a really appealing fresh greenish citrus, over sweet florals on opening.. can see it could be overwhelming if you plaster yourself in it, so watch that .. but on me it dries down very much more on the sweet florals side, I don't end up with any tea left at all!

Don't get me wrong, it is a stunning scent and one I absolutely will happily wear for a day or two to see how it feels to live with, but it just didn't fit my own mental impression of what match green tea would smell like.... In fact, it didn't smell what I thought the stated note blend would smell like, honestly.

In summary, it's great and very, very pretty but I'd say tester or sample first for this one - it is more sweet floral than green tea on me, for sure!

maisillage

Where exactly is the matcha in this ? This is a straight up white floral fragrance.. next

Suraiyascense

Still on the hunt for an actual matcha scent. I wanted to love this, white chocolate and matcha sounds like a perfect combination. I wanted it to smell grassy and a lil musty with a creamy base. But, on me I mainly smell the white florals, although the white chocolate base is there. It's pretty, I guess. Glad I got a couple of samples from ebay before buying the full bottle. This is the second miss for me from Maison Margiela after Whispers in the Library. The names promise so much, the perfumes themselves keep underdelivering.

Already tried The Matcha by le labo, which I like very much as a fresh fig scent but still under delivers on the matcha. Hoping to try Je ne sai quoi from Teo Cabanel after reading some reviews. Fingers crossed third time is the charm.

gory-rilmore

I don't think the name of this one really reflects what this is. It's a sweet floral. My sniff of the bottle is always intoxicating and lovely, but it develops really strangely on actual application with my skin chemistry. So, be warned: not a safe blind buy.

The white chocolate comes on VERY strong not long after application--and it lasts for hours. To me, it's giving an orange-filled white chocolate truffle covered in baby powder (from the jasmine, maybe?). The sweetness just doesn't seem well-blended into the matcha notes and doesn't seem very grounded--the tea note can't compete with everything else going on. At least on my skin.

Ended up giving this to a friend who absolutely loves it, and I love it on her.

tomato12

The green tea note is very strong on opening, and as it settles I get more of the mate note. This fragrance is really not for me I think the chocolate note is throwing me off. Sillage and projection are comparable to lazy sunday morning. 3/10

yesthisislila

I don't detect the chocolate notes, but I smell the citrus notes in the background throughout. It opens up with a white floral and transitions into a green tea smell without the bitterness of mate. It has better sillage and longevity than other replica perfumes I have but it's not a favorite because of personal preference.

It's a safe-ish blind buy if you have the money but I do suggest wearing it for a day or two to see how it responds to your skin, my mother wore it and smelled more chocolatey on her.

LMD

First impressions on paper: orange blossom stands out, but is smoothed out by the tea and the citrus, which reads lemony without being too juicy or sharp. On skin it's similar but very smooth. I think the white chocolate lends a sweetness and smoothness to the green tea. I like it. I don't like orange blossom forward scents but this holds it at bay so it doesn't take over and just adds brightness. Only just tried on skin so no idea on longevity yet. Edited to add: In terms of sillage there is very little. It sits very close to the skin. I usually only use three sprays of perfume when testing but this required six. First hour or two you can smell it around you, after that you have to bring your wrist to your nose. It does last and last though. And I do like it. It really does make orange blossom palatable for a hater like me. I wouldn't mind a travel size, I bet this would be just lovely in Spring.

Natalia Bluebell

This is as stunning and beautiful as it is weak and fleeting.
I absolutely love this perfume, the crisp, green, bright opening that dries down to a most cozy and warm sweetness. It's almost identical on my skin as the Tea Escape, which I adored, but it disappears so fast! Ten minutes and it's just skin scent.
I really wish someone would make a perfume out of it!

milipudding

Barely smells like matcha. It’s so so so sweet, just in the beginning you can get a whiff of that bitter matcha scent. It smells a little bit like couture couture by juicy, which I really like but it’s a little heavy and makes me sneeze. I think I’m just disappointed it’s not a fresh green tea scent. Doesn’t smell too bad actually, kind of like sweet body lotion. But there are other sweet scents or tea scents that I like better

Thighz4president

This is so nice. The initial blast is matcha and white chocolate. The matcha fades, and the orange blossom and jasmine come out. Very relaxing. As usual from this line, these are intimate scents - here for a good time, not a long time. But the travel spray and maybe a rollerball dupe will probably fix that.

JamesGamez

Very realistic matcha scent IMO. It’s kind of sweet but just barely. It’s a bit powdery.
The only replica I really like.
This would be a very nice spring time scent.
Personally, I wouldn’t buy this as I wouldn’t know the right occasion of when to wear this, but I still find it to be a very nice and relaxing scent.

danidgq

I don’t want to hate because it’s popular but this made me so nauseous. I was looking for a beautiful green tea fragrance but this was waayyy too sweet and the jasmin too dominant.

I really wanted to love this because I’ve been into a tea frag kick.

kooodie3005

I love this cologne. Its perfect. Starts with amazing and accurate top notes of matcha that stick, and 6+ hours later its a beautiful mix of matcha and flowers. My special occasion cologne, it has everyone complimenting me. I love it!!

rrimr_

I absolutely adore this perfume! A signature scent for sure. It smells exactly like powdered matcha on the open and then dries down into delicate florals and white chocolate. The longevity and sillage is ok for an edt fragrance but I do wish it lasted longer, as I can see myself getting through the bottle fairly quickly. I will def be rebuying when I run out!!

irlfireprincess

When I first tried this, I was really disappointed. I don't know if my nose is less stuffy now, or it needed to macerate for quite a while, but now I'm enjoying it and contemplating a bottle.

The opening is tea and citrus, more orange-dominant than bergamot. It's an orange that leans sweet rather than bitter without veering into cloying territory. The green tea reminds me of a cup of brewed green tea or sniffing a bag of green tea out of the box more than it reminds me of the powdery, green, slightly-sweet scent of ceremonial matcha. (Therefore, I guess I'm still searching for my perfect gourmand matcha fragrance, but this is a step in the right direction.) Then, as the fragrance develops, the orange transitions into orange blossom, with a bit of jasmine, and I start to smell the white chocolate. This is the phase where I REALLY start to enjoy the fragrance. The white chocolate and orange blossom play so well together. I don't get a ton of mate, which is good because I find it a more aromatic and masculine tea note. I also don't get very much moss, which is okay with me. I do detect the cedar in the base as the white chocolate lingers with a whiff of orange blossom still hanging on for dear life.

Considering that the Replica line are all EDTs I was pretty happy with the longevity of this. I got about 5 hours out of it.

This fragrance could be unisex, but I feel like the orange blossom makes it lean a little more feminine. And I'd wear it from fall through spring. The white chocolate could potentially be too much for summer, but otherwise, there's almost an element in this fragrance to fit every season.

Vellocet

If you’re looking for a ”zen” tea fragrance then be a little careful with this one. It definitely is a tea scent but it is a little sharp at the same time. I wonder if it’s because of the moss? It doesn’t bother me though, I like it a lot! The downside is the longevity, which I find all the Margiela perfumes lack. I have to respray every fourth hour

melngx

This is what a matcha latte with one pump of white mocha from Starbucks smell like, sweet but still very elegant. The tea note is visible but not very potent, i would describe this as a cutesy scent thats suitable for almost every occasions. Lasts 8 hours on my skin and even longer on clothes

raja.mehmood

I tried this fragrance it’s smell exactly can cleef &arpel neroli amara .but mison Margiela is cheaper than neroli amarha.

joshmcmxciii

Not for everyone. Tenacious and elegant, Matcha Meditation is jasmine tea on steroids with chocolatey patchouli and oakmoss backbone. I revisited my old stash of decants that was improperly stored. 3 sprays on clothes and I can still smell it after 8 hours.

cortexiphan

Absolutely vile stuff. Headache inducing and overwhelmingly synthetic smelling. No trace of matcha, just a full on assault on your poor nostrils with how sickly, nauseatingly sweet and cloying it is. NO.

KenanC_C

This scent is exactly what the title describes. Its matcha matcha and matcha, I don't get any other notes other than just straight up matcha. Don't get me wrong the scent is very unique and smells very good but when it drys down it started smelling like sweat. This is def a summer scent and is very strong, it last around 5-6 hours max. Please test this perfume on your SKIN before buying it as your skin chemistry can alter the scent, for me it started smelling really bad on my skin after an hour. solid 6/10 what you see is what you get.

theeredqueen

Smells like drinking a matcha latte in a café courtyard in the spring while the flowers are blooming. The matcha scent is fleeting, it barely lasts before it leaves, but I’m never mad about it because I’m left with that sweet white floral mixed with white chocolate. By the end, the sweet white chocolate is all that’s left. Unfortunately, this perfume still doesn’t last very long on me and has barely any sillage in my experience. Am I still upset that I lost my travel bottle of this? Yes.

Spencemonster

This is SO good. Do not just test on paper. Paper testing really holds onto the Matcha/Tea vibe. On skin the matcha tea vibe starts out then turns into a beautiful floral white floral. The jasmine and orange flower are stars. The tea vibe is a great base. Such a stunner. Very very strong silage as well. A+

Cupcake11

Holy florals on this one!

Purchased a travel size and been testing out a few days, so now I can accurately provide feedback on how this smells on my skin.

I was looking forward to a somewhat crisp matcha opening with a creamy white chocolate + a bouquet of jasmine and orange blossom dancing in the background...or just a creamy matcha latte scent. I would've been very happy with either of those two descriptions, which is what I gathered from most of commenters below.

I'm not kidding when I say - all I get is a whole LOT of orange blossom and a tiny, tiny bit of creaminess from white choc note. I actually really, really hate orange blossom in frags when its front and center and this is what happened on my skin.

However, the frag itself is quite a lovely floral. This is not a bad frag by any means - its actually really pretty, feminine and well blended. The opening does give off a tiny bit of matcha but fades quite fast. Then, I get a blend of jasmine and lots of orange blossom in the dry down, which stays all throughout the life of the frag. Too femme for a man to pull off, unless the matcha/ green notes comes off strong with skin chemistry.

Def not blind buy safe if you think you're getting a creamy matcha tea scent.

I think this is my skin chemistry pulling out the florals HARD vs the notes that are 'supposedly' more prominent. This makes me sad since i really wanted the creamy matcha latte vibe in this one.
