This is heavenly.
Pefect for warm weather.
Possibly one of my favorites from Macera.
This can totally be worn by men.

VirgowithLeo

I dont like it
Something earthy in here
Herbal/woody idk

Ok.. it took me a few days with it. I love it

At first it starts off a little aromatic, smelling like parsley. But after wearing it, it smells better. Sweeter. I can't identify notes yet, as I'm too new to fragrances. But the Green Apple does stand out.

Redemption. I love it.

J'aimeunefragrance

Reminds me very much of My Name by Trussardi.
The fig takes a backseat here, the perfume being prominently musky and powdery.
It’s comforting, fresh, subtle but not anything new.
Also, doesn’t really last for me. I don’t do more than 4 sprays usually so I thought I just need more and sprayed 12 times, but even then it didn’t last more than 3-4 hours. The sillage is okay.

toosimilar

Sour fig-oriented floral scent:)

I bought a 2-ml sample vial of Pearl because I had read that it had a good fig, and Fig Extasy was not available in sample form. I just sprayed it a few minutes ago, and I'm enjoying it so far. It reminded me of going to some of the enclosed gardens at the Missouri Botanical Garden, particularly the humid, green, fertile scent of the Climatron. The musks are very typically Montale, which means that this will project like a beast long after you, the delivery system, have gone anosmic. I think this wouuld be a beautiful fragrance on a man or woman alike. I definitely pick up on the fig, a clean and milky sweetness, but there's a lot more going on besides fig and musk. I also pick up on the green apple (possibly white peach, too, but it's a very crisp and bright fruit scent, not the syrupy Trésor peach) and possibly a bit of jasmine, but I can't say I smell the rose. I do, rather confusingly, smell cedar or another wood, but it's not listed, so I suppose it must be the ambergris and violet somehow. Or maybe the fig has a slightly cedarish scent that I never noticed before.

When I first sprayed on Pearl, it smelled like walking into the Climatron, but now that I have been wearing it for a little while, it's drying down to a scent that reminds me of a health food store I used to patronize, specifically the body-care aisle. It would never occur to me that it might be pleasant to smell like that, but it does.

Sometimes the fig smells a little green-banana to me, but again, not a problem!

On another note, only tangentially related, I really love the way Montale and Mancera give you decent-size samples, a full 2 ml. None of this chintzy single-spray-in-a-puff-box nonsense! I salute the houses that are confident enough in their product that they give you enough for a few full wearings, so you can experience it under a variety of conditions. To me, the perfume consumer, this conveys a confidence in the quality of one's product.

Onya505

Do not overspray Pearl! You will regret it. It is so strong at first spray but it dries down to a soft floral that kind of reminds me of Musky Garden. This scent reminds me of the perfume my grandmother would wear to church dances and other functions. Pearl lasted a long time on my skin and on my clothes which my husband didn't like. He said it reminded him of the church ladies who dressed really nice. I'm going to give it to my mom. I'm sure she'll enjoy it.

Mroger848

I agree with Allied9 it starts off green then dries down to a soft clean airy scent that wraps you and feels good .. idk why but it also reminded me of a airy version of Al haramain amber oud gold edition. All in all its starts tart then ends fruity light and crisp.

I wanted to love this but it just lacks finesse. Mancera tends to be strong and in-your-face, and with 6 sprays of Pearl this morning (which is tame for me) it was pretty hefty, but not to the point of choking myself purely because of the lighter scent profile.
The figgy-fruity opening is actually lovely, not overly sweet or juvenile which is my main worry with fruity fragrances. It remains quite fruity into the mid notes as the muskiness becomes apparent. It actually doesn’t really present as Floral at this stage either.
What has me most undecided is the particular musk Mancera seem to use in all of their fragrances. It’s mildly cheap and dirty in vibes, and strong. Not unpleasant, but not quite niche.

McKinleyD

I love the top notes of this fragrance, but on me, the dry down smells like stale old lady perfume. I will only spray on bare skin, as I find the stale aspect increases if it's on any clothing. Strangely my friends always compliment it, but perhaps it's just a bit too fruity for me and goes in the wrong direction on dry down.

Vokos

Beautiful scent. Well done. It’s amazing how well this preforms for the price. Good projection and lasts for quite some time.

Visual Interpretation: Walking with a beautiful princess dressed in white, through a royal orchard of lemon trees, peach trees and apple trees, and in between the fruit trees it’s filled with roses, berries and flowers growing everywhere.

Charmedbymeghan

It's a musky fragrance with some green figgy notes. Very beautiful. One of my favorites from Mancera/Montale (i find these brands to be very similar)... It smells more niche & high-end than most of theirs as well. Really lovely. I may need to buy the full size bottle and I don't take that lightly. I am between this and another fig fragrance Mancera - Fig Extasy.... and to think I was ready to write off these 2 brands because some of their fragrances start off with a blast of Screechy Madness that I am not feeling. This does not do that.

Afrikano

On first spray I get a very big green/woody aroma. It eventually settles down and I can detect more of the fig, but on my skin I feel like the florals from the mid overshadow the fig. As a man that enjoys unisex fragrances I can say this definitely leans objectively feminine. Even on first spray it made me immediately think of something a lady would wear. For me personally I’d rate it a 5/10 but off a woman’s skin I’d rate it a 8/10. Not for my taste but would definitely appreciate it on a woman.

Allied9

I get something very green in the opening and then it settles and it’s just so nice. It smells like fresh spring air to me.

Sephmosh

Feelings when sprayed: I am in a vacation somewhere in the Mediterranean’s at a very luxurious Resort, drinking ice tea, eating a mouthwatering dessert of figs, relaxing in the warm sun, with a beautiful garden around me. Pure Delights.

sweetcheex

This stuff is STRONG

If you spray it modestly, and far away enough, it gives you a very fresh fruity clean vibe, in the realm of shampoo or caress soap

jxdesperfumes

Smells like hairspray 😷

alternateu

I bought it hoping for fig, but no fig to my nose.
I get a lot of soft, synthetic (albeit fairly well-blended) rose. It's alright.
Average longevity and projection (weak by mancera standards). Doesn't smell niche, just average and decently likable, but not an unpleasant scent by any means.
Leans more feminine than masculine, but men could definitely still wear it.

MatchaCat

Subtle floral, fruity, jammy rose with a hint of grass or waxy green leaves. This is not an in-your-face perfume. All notes are light, subtle and delicate. You're only getting hints of them. I would have named this "Morning Dew" instead of "Pearl". I feel that's a more fitting name. There are not as many unique ingredients masterfully blended like Kilian perfumes, but it's still a pretty safe, easy-to-wear, likable perfume.

Smell: 9 out of 10
Longevity: 6 out of 10
Feminine

For reference, I'm female.

SPena

Pearl is so wonderful! I love fig perfumes but i can say this is one of my favorites. It is a very clean, classy and elegant scent. And also, very long lasting.

CRE@M

Opening is very harsh. Did not like it! I haven’t tested this one jet on my skin. Mancera and me are not a fit. I have other perfumes from this brand and I don’t like the way they are belendend. They all have this harsh smell that my brain registers as no good.

Cherry_Darling

wow this is unique! A fresh, clean, musky fruity scent, I was a bit surprised at the vele comparison (I used to own and love this, it was green, mango, floral, but had to let go due to something that didn't work with my skin.) This DOES remind me of it! All the nice aspects aside from the greenness. I really like this scent, good one Mancera. Tropical, fresh, light and airy, touch sweet, musky. Beautiful, and unique. The florals add a velvety pearly aspect but indeed this isn't really floral as such, more fruity musky tropical and yes - pearly! It's uniqueness takes me back to the beginning of my perfume journey when everything seemed new and unique. Love.

Uzuki_Ogura

From First spray to it's dry down 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️...im like middle of like and love on this perfume 🥰... Fresh, clean sexy, elegant and really a niche scent... Pearl also uplifts my mood esp when i get whiff of it, just get enough... Also it has a good performance, longevity and sillage 🖤🖤🖤

Gosh

I agree this share resemblance to other mancera fragrances, musky garden, very toned down roses vanille + green fig leaves. But I don't mind at all. Green, fresh soapy rosey musk with green fig. At first I wasn't impressed, but after wearing it twice, I like it very much. I don't have many fresh clean fragrances for cold weather and this fits the bill perfectly. Pearl performs, projects and lasts. Very versatile from bed to office or just hanging out at home. Doesn't scream for attention, but it's there and smells expensive soapy. The green notes last a lot longer on clothes compared to skin, so if you like greenness, spray your clothes lightly as well.

Parfumeluna

Mmm…this is parfume who ´s everybody love it… sweet but fresh , no strog- but long stay.when I wesr this parfume.I feel very clean and fresh and -gently sexy;)

BougieGirlShops

While I get a burst of green fresh fig at the beginning, it unfortunately dissipates as it dries down. Once settled, I am left with a jammy rose scent with a hint of musk. The beginning notes give a promise of a unique scent, but the dry down I feel is similar to many other sweet rose forward fragrances I own.

Imcheap17

Not a fan of the opening, but the dry down is fresh, and minty, not too sure what is causing the mint smell but I like it

Ground hound

Freshly cut grass, green leaves, floral, fresh, clean, tender, noble, a great combination of the above.
Very interesting. Not oriental.

Edemay

Similar to Miss Charming if you added some yummy tart fig
Smells niche and clean and expensive
Highly recommend

meldloves

It smells clean and fresh, I think it is an everyday perfume (but don’t over spray, in fact one spray below the knees is enough). The first minutes I wasn’t sure I was going to like it, there was a strong green leaves scent but after the dry down I liked it better, it became smother and fresh. I’m happy because it was a blind buy, I don’t regret it but definitely I can only spray a tiny little bit on my legs or else the beast mode might be too overwhelming.

EmpressVision

Instant amor!! The fruity/musk combo got me like a fish on a hook. Beautifully blended. I don't know if I would consider this sexy and I don't care. The longevity and sillage are great. The clean musky drydown is perfection. I appreciate soapy floral fragrances. I don't care the season or reason. This is getting used all year round. My first favorite from the House of Mancera. BRAVO!

1/16/23--😲😲 good GAWD my FB is so much louder than my sample was! No complaints...just have to be careful not to overspray. I like my fragrances loud but I don't wanna choke anyone out either.

6/6/23--in swampy weather here in south Florida, I get 12+ hours longevity. 🙌🏾

Elle's Bells

Mancera Pearl is a beautiful fig/floral scent. Most of us love wearing fig-forward scents in the Summer. However, the KEY to wearing Pearl (for those who have struggled) is to wear it during COOLER weather. It takes on a whole new scent profile. The cold weather takes away the sharpness some experience and rounds out the fragrance. It's one of my faves from Mancera and I don't have many.

amg7613

I can’t stand it. It smells like a green fig with a touch of apple - and cinnamon. There is no cinnamon in the fragrance, but I keep smelling it. A soapy dry down that does smell a little better. It’s literally giving me a migraine and I don’t get them. I want to like this fragrance.

NattyMac

Selling a 4oz only sprayed 3 times, pm me if interested

staka01

Very green opening as if you have your nose in a pile of damp, freshly trimmed leaves. Typical Mancera it is oily and with a strong sillage. Too green for my taste so this is a pass.

lihik

This is very musky! I L-O-V-E fig scents, and here the fig is definitely shining. The musk is not something I usually go for, but combined with the fig it's kind of intoxicating. I do wish the fig had stayed more prominent through the dry down. I get a bit of powderyness from the violet but no rose or fruity notes. Maybe a bit of sweetness comes in from those notes but nothing too prominent. This is mostly a sweetened musk as it dries down. It's the first musky perfume that I actually like.

Ada Sokolovic

This perfume is very versatile 😃 I really didn't see this coming from the notes. It is very green in the opening: leaves, fig, bergamot, violet. Then you can really get the rose.

But the dry down really bothers me, it is the same as Roses Greedy and Roses Vanille. That is the part I don't like, since everybody is using those 😄 If it stayed green I would love it more. That dry down smells like tamed hair dye and the dry down is what matters the most. That being said, I wouldn't want another Mancera perfume that smells the same as the other two. Give me those greens 😍

ryetoast

this is so fun. reminds me of a really expensive shampoo, with some interesting green notes to keep from being typical. Great performance

Carolinefragrance

Love at first sniff

Oh golly. This perfume is amazing. Longevity and sillage second to none.

Mancera is quickly becoming my favourite brand of perfume. My main criteria is good longevity and bonus of great sillage and Mancera rarely disappoints.

For me this is effervescent fig on first spray settling down to beautiful fruity musk. Longevity 12 hours plus. One of my most complimented scents.

Is it sexy? I really don’t know. I think this scent transcends all that.

In my opinion Pearl could be worn all year round and at any occasion and would make a terrific signature scent.

I just love it. Careful with the sprays. I’m a 10 to 12 sprays kind of girl. With this one and with the office in mind eight sprays would be sufficient : )

I go to work with Pearl and walk home 12 hours later Pearl still going strong. Perfection 😊

BokeeLee

Nice scent, but female 1/1. Performances r good as always from my fauvorite house. My wife like Pearl so i will give her this bottle. New one is comming... Gold Prestigium. Piece out.

Controlledbyscent31

This to me smells Like clean laundry or a high end luxury candle scent.
Nice but I don't want to smell like that.

rheeyant

I recently in a venture of discovering Mancera House, and this one come up late to my collection. And i love this incredible juice on my skin! Although it is marketed toward female but i think man can also wear it. The performance is not disapoint. With moderate spray, I get 6++ hours on my skin, 8++ hours on my cloth. Projection and silage is decent. I can detect it without trying to sniff the spot where i sprayed it.

bourcet

Dyptique Philosykos with balls, on steroids. If you're a fig fan but want actual performance in your perfumes, try this. It's a high octane floral fig banger coupled with an XXL laundry musk. If you love the lush, verdant florals but also don't mind being punched in the face by a fabric softener, this is your juice.

mystike23

Hmm interesting, I would say “smooth” compare to other Manceras. On my skin smells like fresh fig leaves and citrus probably the bergamot, and I am very familiar with that smell, my Grandma had this huge fig tree! I wish I could smell more of the fig fruit but it’s winter so I’ll have to wait for those Texas hot-humid days hoping I can smell some of the sweet yummy notes. Very pleasant, very fresh, clean, green. I liked it :)

KatrinaKC

This was a blind buy and it’s not really me.

Please message if you are interested in swapping or buying. Has been sprayed once.

floszra

I'm in love with this. This is what the word "niche" means to me. It's quite odd but so soooo beautiful. It manages to be sharp, green, natural smelling and juicy sweet at the same time. It's basically spring in a bottle. It opens with strong and scratchy green apple and bergamot and then the fig comes out to play and it gives it the most believable fruity sweetness I've ever smelled in a perfume. But the last bits of the magic come out a bit later: the rose literally slowly blooms. Wonderful composition. Sillage and longevity are pretty decent.

ConcreteRose

I’ve seen reviews saying this smells like roses vanille… it smells absolutely nothing like it lol. This smells like a very soapy powdery floral fragrance. A STRONG & dense soapy smell. Very good clean smelling fragrance. A little goes a long way! Can be a bit headache inducing if oversprayed. It’s enjoyable pretty and casual.

Starlight

I agree with $¢enta$ti¢. Pearl is like Roses Vanille, except you get a plate of tropical fruit salad on the initial blast. To my nose, it is quite sickly. On the dry down it settles with the oud becoming more predominant and the fruit platter becomes drier. I detect melon, pineapple and coconut with the fig but I don't think they are listed.

I think it's more joyful and juicy than roses vanille and a lot of folks out there really love Pearl. However, I prefer Roses Vanille for the blending being so good and not as sweet as Pearl.

Robotnik19

There’s a new fig fragrance from Mancera called fig ecstasy coming out and with this being really hard to find now I wonder if that new fig fragrance is replacing this one. I mean it would make sense but we’ll see

joshmcmxciii

Smells like Philosykos and Eau Rose combined with ambergris and white musk

hsn14

Smells exactly the same as Ajmal Wisal Dhahab.

$¢enta$ti¢

Here me out Mancera’s Pearl is a toned-down and fruitier version of Roses Vanille on the skin! I sprayed this And went outside the weather in NYC is currently 97°F

The sun beaming on my skin I guess changed the fragrance on my skin making it stronger in projecting and I only sprayed it on my wrists.

Up top from an initial blast from spraying this is a fig bomb which gives this sugary accord and it mixes with the Roses and Musk.

Either way, I love Roses's Vanille but this is way more superior. Roses Vanille can get cloying and Mancera’s pearl is a toned-down version of it. This fragrance has more fruits and the fig is pronounced more. I can see why discounters don’t have this gem in stock because it sells out immediately.

100% it is redundant if you got both fragrances or plan on getting both. If you don’t have Roses's Vanille or pearl I would get Mancera’s pearl.

Bottom line Hands down this is Mancera’s Roses Vanille with a heavy dose of fig that smells sweet/earthy.

Qleen

Equality got this sold out lol Mancera y’all owe him a bag

kapuka

A few people know about this gem ,
But after equality fragrances review this amazing frag is hard to find ,
I can't wait to wear this in the summer,
But now in the cold weather this baby is powerful smell stunning fresh and clean im in love with this fragrance

labonvie

The opening is gorgeous. Pure fig in all its fruity and leafy glory. My problem with most fig fragrances is that they don’t last. My problem with this fragrance is that the fig lasts about an hour and is replaced by a synthetic white laundry musk that I find generic and revolting. This soapy mess lasts all the damn day long. I’m jealous that others have a different result.

Jacquis

Mancera Pearl is a beautiful all year perfume. Pearl feels like a white, bright and unique perfume for hours but the dry down is very licorice-like similar to Black Candy. Remains bright throughout. Will be especially great in spring/summer. Very long lasting and unisex.

olga.stratienko

I’m in love.
This is a special scent that earns more love and attention

When you first spray it you will smell green notes. Comparable with the smell of cutting a branch from a rose if that makes sense?
It’s a very musky scent, so you will smell very strong soapy aroma at the beginning. But this smell will be broken down by the figs , after an hour. All you get is a soft sweet fruity scent, which will hold more than 7 hours (if not more, that’s what I could smell at least). This is a fig bomb and it PROJECTS like crazy. Be careful with the trigger, because everyone will smell you.

If you love musk or figs, or either, this is a MUST You can wear it every season. Another stunner from Mancera!

Anteatereatingant

OMG. I might have finaly found it: the Perfect Fig Perfume!

For years now, I've been looking everywhere for a GREAT fig perfume, tried pretty
much all of the usual suspects, but always came out disappointed.

Philosykos? Great smell, very modest longevity and projection.
Premier Figuier (Extreme)? Decent smell, absolutely zero performance.
Fico di Amalfi? Gorgeous smell, absolutely zero performance.
Un Jardin En Mediterannee? Same.
Womanity? Gorgeous smell, fantastic performance, not *really* a fig perfume, though.

And so on - disappointment after disappointment.

And today...I sniffed THIS. Dear lord, the strength! It opens with a blast of fig, rose, and bergamot. Gorgeous, fresh, fruity, dewy. And it settles into a strong, rosey fig, which gradually transitions from dewy to musky (but in a good way). Comforting and cocooning. It's been a couple of hours, and I can smell it clearly whenever I move. And I'm outside, in freezing London weather. I can't WAIT until it gets warmer, if it's already projecting so well now!

The only thing I would change about it, is making it slightly less floral, as it's almost evenly fruity and floral.

I bought it just now - it only took two hours to fall in love.
(Actually, it took about 5 minutes, but the other 115 were spent trying to rationalize my purchase. Black Friday, y'all!)

brumbarche

This is great! Fig+rose+apple are equals here and easy to tell apart. It's the milky woody fig you immediately get, then you find the petals of a fresh pink rose, which is iced with a tart green apple fruity note (this note stays till the end) and musky brightness like in Byredo Blanche. The drydown on skin can remind you of Delina.
Pearl can be interpreted also, as sharper and more bitter/green version of Mancera's Black Candy in the drydown (as if Pearl is the EDT release of the deep dark EDP Black Candy). From there, it moves first through a sweet phase close to Mancera's Aoud Vanille. These three share similarities and all are rather unusual. If you appreciate one, it's likely to appreciate the others. Aoud Vanilla has the sweetest and most powdery drydown of those three, than it's Black Candy - featuring again a tart note, but like sour cherry, Pearl being the freshest, greenest, sharpest, radiant, but all three are singing in the same choir if you know what to listen for. For daily use, from the aforementioned, I like this one the most. It's most versatile, most wearable, the cleanest, the least tiring over time, while it stands out from the crowd. The name confuses me a bit - I imagine the name "Pearl" to represent powdery or retro gardenia scents, targeting people who do in fact wear pearls and perfumey scents. And hadn't I purchased a sample, it wouldn't have even occurred to me to try it, let alone buy it on a whim. My name-based presumptions were very far from what this perfume revealed itself to be. On the other hand I'm not sure what other name would suit it best. All I know is it's something I am considering a FB. Until then, I will resort my VC&A Santal Blanc - it seems to deliver on the same type of freshness, although Pearl is more feminine.

SailorV

A nice scent, but not quite what I expected. It doesn't evoke a shiny, smooth pearl at all and I also don't get as much fruitiness as I thought.

The main note is the typical sharp, wine-tinged rose that you also find in Roses Vanille, Intense Café and other fragrances by Mancera and Montale. It's a little more subdued here and blended with a creamy white musk, ripe figs and a savory note that could either come from the fig or from the ambergris, or both.
I don't get a pronounced peach or apple in this.
Pearl is a bright scent and most suitable for spring in my opinion, but it could easily be worn year round. It's essentially a fruity floral, but one with a little more body than most of them, without relying on excessive sweetness.
This fits in with many other scents by the same perfumer, so if you find these harsh and synthetic, this won't be the exception.

To me Pearl is just a little too sharp, mainly because it's not balanced with a warmer, sweeter note but with that savory edge that makes it a little dissonant at times. Nevertheless I still enjoy it, it's just not quite a favorite.

Celestya

This perfume is fresh (fig leaves), green, unisex to my opinion. I do not see a Pearl but why not. For me, it is very different of roses vanille (sweet). It can be perfect for spring and summer, I cannot wear it during fall or winter.
5/10, I am not a huge fan of green perfumes

ivaylops

Fresh, smile-inducing, long lasting and totally unisex. Love it!

PerfumedParrot

The opening fig note is beautiful. It’s fresh but also salty and very savoury. But a few minutes later, the fig completely goes and it smells very similar to Ajman’s Wisal Dhahab. Then the dry-down smells like a soft bristle hair brush for the rest of the day.

denisa_iv

At first spray this is very sharp. Green and fresh, yes but at the same time it smelled so strange (on me at least) that I thought I got an old sample, it just smelled off. It was not that, though, this really does have an opening that is off-putting to some people. It also caught me by surprise because I tried other Manceras which were very sweet and fruity even though they were labeled as floral (Velvet Vanilla for example), so considering this was actually supposed to be fruity I imagined something completely different.

Pearl does smell like fig but more so fig leaves or any other green part of the plant instead of the juicy, sweet fruit itself. Although there's some sweetness there, laying in the background (similar to a honey note almost), this perfume is more salty than it is sweet, especially in the beginning. Similarly, it is more green/fresh than it is fruity. I don't smell roses in the beginning, I actually smell white flowers more.

As time passes though, I sense the roses more and more, the perfumes warms up quite a bit and becomes sweeter, and then I get a musk that leans more unisex and seems to be ever present in a Mancera dry down. To me, Pearl seems somewhat similar to Roses Vanille in the end, not bad at that point but I don't think I can go past those first 15 min. A pass for me.

Bluebirdpsyche

Pearl is...a pearl. Fresh and opaque. Showing different shades from one minute to the next. A metamorphosis of Intensity, - deep...floral... a little salty, like a sea breeze carrying with it jasmine and bergamot... grainy...apples and fig.... a juicy tangy sweet....crisp. -deliciously creamy.. champagne and roses and violet and musk.

Flirty and fun. Sexy, yet classy and elegant, surrounding one in a feminine powdery soapy cleaniness, a subtle bubble of lingering woody creamy figgy musk, for HOURS AND HOURS. Melds to the skin...Definite powerhouse fragrance.

dajc26

Super strong. Thinking because it is a summer scent, I made the mistake of always spraying more than one spray on my arm and dig my nose to it, and absolutely hated it. Until one day I did one spray, walked around, and smelling whiff of something very pleasant and relaxing.

Science&Scents

Darn, I was hoping this would be that caress soap folks are talking about below. But on my skin, this starts off very green with sweet, juicy fruits. I get the fig and the rose hangs out subtly in the back. I don't dislike it but my chemistry apparently isn't inclined to deliver "caress soap" with this frag--at least not in the first 30 min. Definitely has the Mancera "snorting salt" note but not nearly as intense as Jardin Exclusif.

My skin tends to really amplify white florals, which can be annoying when I'm specifically looking to experience the "blend," but the jasmine isn't super present which is a nice change (if you have the same experience I do).

To my nose, I pick up honey? Not intense, just an interestingly subtle feature.

dcjimr

Fig, rose, and musk are the main notes I get. The musk isn't a pure white musk...it's just the teeniest tiniest bit dirty. It really projects and longevity is fairly good, which is par for the course for Mancera. This was a blind buy but a very successful one. I quite like it.

jamie-37

Someone said smells like caress soap, I will buy it! I love the smell of caress soap, if you leave out the word, soap!. Here’s to get a idea of the scent. Caress + Gentle = Lovely. Sold! Can’t go wrong with this fragrance.

d_silent_one

Two words: Caress soap.
This fragrance is Caress soap on steroids. Oh so cleeeaan and fresh. At the beginning it has a rose stem smell, kind of green, definitely like a fresh clean smelling garden of beautiful pink and white flowers. Then it dries down to an amplified Caress soap smell. Very beautiful scent and above all, very clean because it smells like you just took a good shower with a lot of the Caress soap.

The first time I wore this I was kind of confused of how strong it smelled. I live in the Caribbean so I have not been able to experience the "shift" some people have mentioned when they use it on Winter. At first, to me, it smelled like the most oppressive grapefruit and rose smell ever...and I had to go out and did not want to get out of the house smelling like that but in the time it took for me to actually leave, it turned out into this lovely powdery musky fragrance that lasted for what seems a lifetime.
I was complemented repeatedly and had to write down the name for one person lol.
I reckon it is not for everybody, especially that initial 5-10 minutes but if you don't mind that, you will find yourself smelling amazing for the rest of the day.
I cannot talk about notes and other technical perfume terms because I am kind of new at this.

No no no... Mancera, what happened?
This is awful. 🤢

I blind bought this fragrance in the summer of last year. Upon trying it, I couldn't stomach the piercingly sharp vegetal notes of the green apple and fig. In addition, the other components of this fragrance are undeniably harsh and frustratingly cobbled together. Fig is such a gorgeous thing to behold when crafted well. This is sadly hyper-synthetic, headache inducing, and entirely noxious. The sonic Jolly Rancher aspect of the green apple sends this far over the edge. This is more reminiscent of an industrial cleaning product than anything I'd want to put on my skin.

But, since I spent money on it, I gave it another whirl in fall and winter with no improvement. I put it aside until spring rolled around for one last ditch effort. In the heat of the day this explodes in an endless cloud that I can't bear to be associated with. It's now made it's way to the resell / trade bin.

Has Mancera lost their creativity? Is Monsieur Montale bored and uninspired? Where is the soul, where is the imagination? I thought a perfumers joy was to create something of grace, elegance, and beauty? Something that made the wearer feel regal, and that elevated their senses? The last four fragrances I've tried from this house have been total scrubbers. Sadly, my enthusiasm is no more.

Anast4s1a

The start is reminiscent of a fresh fig leaves.
The tender of the greens. And then serenity of lilies of the valley, pansy, violets & the subtle sweetness of not jasmine or roses, but red caprifolia flowers in may.
I feel a white peach here, its fruitiness such graceful, but not edible. The scent plays of highlights like a pearl.

In word, a modern beautiful, molecule- assembled niche.

Naji

Another pricey disappointment from Mancera.
Pearl is unremarkable. Mancera formulations are beginning to annoy me. Honestly, they smell like leftovers bunged together. Inventiveness is gone. It’s time for Mancera to step out of their comfort zone. Scrubber for me.

Novelty- zero
Silage and longevity potent as ever.

Try before you buy. Save your money.

2nd Review. Still working through my Discovery samples. Wore Pearl again today. This stuff is a beast. 12 hours on my skin. I have nothing but figgy love for this. I picked up a few compliments as well. I am planning to buy a full bottle of this and possibly the Musky Garden. My two favorites so far.

mapache

Opens with figgy floral notes...then I get "fresh sliced peach"....and then a little greenness too. The drydown does to a more simple white light floral...with a tad of fig/woods/fruit still lingering. The first phase of this scent is truly wonderous..!!!...but then it goes linear on my skin...and becomes "average" but still...I am liking it !!!

I got a Discovery Mancera Sample kit yesterday and thought to try it out today with Pearl. This fragrance was absolutely beautiful. I don't believe I ever had a fig note in a fragrance. It was definitely distinct and gorgeous. Excellent sillage, a few squirts is all you need. It lasted well into 12 hours and I could still detect it on my wrist. I felt like Wonder Woman. I am definitely sold on the first try. I can't wait to explore the rest. When I get through, I am sure I will be splurging for a full bottle.

I received a sample of this and I had no idea what to expect. Wow! It's a beautiful shining figgy floral. "The hills are alive, with the sound of music" is what comes to my mind. It's very feminine and clean. It's strong enough to be interesting, yet I think it would work well in a work environment.

Very hard not to like for people who loves fig like me. The rose could have been less, but this is Mancera. It leans this scent to feminine side for me, but only just. Still for warm weather this can work unisex easily. Ambroxan makes the scent so fresh, and towards drydown it gets ideal for me, musky woody fig, the best combo - instant teleportation to Mediterranean. I dont get any peach in the opening, bergamot and apple assisting the fig and rose, which are the main notes. Blind buy worthy if you like fig. Somehow amongst fig based scents Pearl reminds me most of the Body Shop Italian Summer Fig.

I bought this perfume last spring when temperatures were already in 90s. A sampler set I bought first allowed me to tell it worked well on my skin as a fruity floral. I wore it often until summer when Arizona desert reaches over 120 degrees then it was too strong florals with hardly any fruit and zero musk showing up on my skin. It projected 6 feet at least with a strong trail and lasted 6-8 hours.

The freaky think is I tested it in winter for first time today when it is 61 degrees and it smells like a different perfume! There are only 2 notes in cold weather that show up...fig and musk. It opened that way with zero fruit or florals. I’m not crazy about this new scent and will be putting this bottle away until it is warm outside again!

I love this as a spring fruity floral scent but right now in winter it smells like raw fresh fig with cat fur and musk - yuk!

First official review on Fragrantica. Never experienced a fragrance before like this one; I went from saying "Uggh way too much musky fig, don't know if I'll want to wear this again!" to 3 hours later, "Wow, this scent is amazing." Everything I wanted Le Labo The Noir 29 to be, but sadly wasn't....(that one was a huge let down from personal experience). I find this to be in the same vein as B. Balenciaga Balenciaga, so if you are a fan of that one I would highly recommend Mancera Pearl.

broomflower

On a cool day, I get a green blooming leaf on a warm sea breeze, which ends in a peachy-peach that is sweet but not sugary. There is a note that is almost salty, which crisps up the perfume before it settles into a very soft, rosy musk. On hotter days, I can smell flashes of a green apple and the fig becomes clearer and more forceful presence. When the fig deigns to appear, this changes the silage of Pearl and makes the perfume into a heavier, more dramatic scent. What is impressive about Mancera is the range within each perfume they create. Depending on the day, the temperature, and the humidity, you get a different face of the arrangement of Pearl and each face is beautiful and dramatic in its own way.

Mighty lion

This is my first Mancera purchase, but surely not my last. I have aoud blue notes, aoud lemon mint, Wild fruits, red tobacco,& black vanilla all on my radar.. I am thoroughly pleased and impressed with Mancera so far.. Never have I loved so many selections from one house at first sniff..Now to the fragrance!! First off I'm a masculine male and always feel a little funny about a fragrance geared towards women.. I had no idea that this wasn't unisex initially, until I looked it up here on fragrantica.. I was just sampling them all and fell in love with the clean/fresh powdery peach that lasted on my skin for 12 plus hours!! I'm sure at some point they will relist as unisex . It does have an awkward opening I must confess, a very stringent white floral type of blast.. However after like a half hour this thing powers down and develops into the fragrance version of a Bellini (peach liqueur/ champagne) for those that live under a rock..It just lasts and lasts, with this fresh powdery but ever so subtle peach bubble around you!! I wear this on summer nights, but it would be perfect for all day use in the spring for any casual occasions.. Mancera is truly a powerhouse of a house so if you love to smell as good as I do its a must to experience..Most of these are blind buy worthy IMO just check to see which notes suit you.. I give this frag a strong 9 in all categories!! How do I fell about it overall? JUST PEACHY!!!

The opening started off nice and bright with pear and fig, however, it fell apart in less than five minutes on my skin. It turned into some mess that is indescribable. This one must be tried on skin first.

Perfumeaddict777

I adore this perfume!! I crave the scent. I don't find it forgettable at all. On my skin it is a salty, sweet, fig with Jasmine and bergamot. The ambroxan is savory! This perfume has a character that is hard to describe that I've never experienced in a perfume before. It has a grainy smell.... I hope that makes sense. You know how a pear feels , the skin And flesh has The juicy grainy texture.. well I get that same feeling in this perfume and I love it. The dry down is a sweet musk and creamy violet. I feel amazing wearing this and of course the longevity is outstanding! Sillage is a nice fragrant bubble floating around me all day. Imo it's bordering on gourmand ! My husband came home from work and I was wearing pearl, he hugged me and said. "Ooh you smell delicious!" . I only have a sample but I definatly will be buying a full bottle. It's flirty, sexy and fun. It also feels classy and it layers great with Modern muse (if you like layering).

alberto1964

Summer fragrance without a splitting character. Good but forgettable.

Duskfall

To be honest, I was very skeptical when I got a sample of Pearl. According to the official description, it is the polar opposite of my fragrance preferences. However, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised!

On me, fig is the most prominent note of Pearl. It is present from the beginning till the end (this is a relatively linear scent). The fig gets support from florals, mainly jasmine, and they add a bit of "muscle" and dirtiness (nothing outrageous, though) into the composition. Pearl is simultaneously airy and heavy. It's sweet in a zesty way. The apple is probably a significant contributor to the zestiness. In my opinion, the force of this fragrance comes specifically from the flowers, not the base, which appears to be mostly musk.

I'd describe it as an intensely green floral. Pearl is very elegant, but not pompous. I'm not sure if I'm sophisticated enough to pull it off, but I actually like it and I'd definitely wear it in spring and summer (moderately warm temps) if a bottle was mysteriously delivered to my doorstep. I don't think I love it enough to buy a full bottle, but I like it much more than I anticipated.

Lasts long and projects well (bordering heavy in the beginning, turning into a very sufficient moderate during wear). The high quality is evident. Definitely worth checking out if you like fig and/or florals with a strong green vibe!

The notes aren't right. Fragrantica can you please update according to Mancera website.

Paula80

corkscrewcurly, I agree with you completely! Some people have no idea, what they're voting for!!! There are lots of mistakes in the notes of some perfumes on fragrantica (for example in description of Sensations by JIL SANDER). Noone corrects them and people vote for not existing dominant notes!
