Love this perfume! The bottle is hirriblw, sprayer is hard to manipulate and I've wasted alot on my previous tro bottles. They shoul change it.

I will admit, I've never been a BWF (BIG, WHITE, FLORAL) fan, yet I love gardenia and tuberose. I love the original Michael, it's so beautifully done, with a masterful touch - creamy white florals over an incense base and the genius addition of dry/grassy vetiver to keep it from becoming overwhelming and giving balance.
It has nuclear staying power, many say it's too strong but if only spritz is applied, it's magical. The key is one spray only and then it's beauty and genius is revealed.

The Scentimentalist

Was gifted the perfume around 2004. It was my rite-of-passage perfume to hardcore white florals. Monstrous sillage and impressive longevity - it lasted for weeks on clothing. Intoxicating is the word. Two decades later, I still have a few drops left in the bottle and the silver cap has already tarnished. But I still sniff it from time to time. Precious memories...

I admit I sampled this one more than any other perfume back in days, but never purchased it. I love tuberose and it’s really intriguing in here, but incense and osmanthus are just too much for me. Luckily I got Symbol from Marina de Bourbon and it has the same tuberose without heavy osmanthus and dirty incense (sorry for describing incense as dirty, I just can’t found better word for it). If you love tuberose, check out Symbol for sure! Otherwise Michal is great frag, I really like it, just prefer something lighter and more feminine.

HippyDippy57

Had never bought any Michael Kors scents before, but came across this on our local ferry service to the mainland. Tested it, immediately bought it because I had not come across anything as intoxicating, and all-enveloping, as this before. I wish I had bought a second bottle, because on the trip back it was gone. It has amazing lasting power. It could be too much if over-sprayed, or used in more humid climates but luckily where I live it works perfectly. It's a shame that it has been discontinued. The only other scent I currently have which is of a similar nature, but not a perfect match, is Shay and Blue's Scarlet Lily.

So beautiful. I love Tuberose so I love it. I wish Michael Kors brought it back.

smells boring and strong at the same time performance impressive!

This perfume is one of my favourite tropical white florals ever, and I’m so shocked they decided to discontinue this beauty. We go way back, back to when this was considered a new fragrance, and Michael Kors had these amazing leg bronzer/leg shimmer sticks in gold and bronze with the famous white floral scent. This was back in the days before Fenty Body Lava or any of the famous products out now; back then, we were all hooked on Benefit’s Bathina Body So Fine (Sarah Jessica Parker used this for Sex and the City, among many other people), we used Michael Kors leg bronzer, and we used NARS Body Glow I and II, and perhaps some ModelCo (blast from the past!). This perfume is a heady white tuberose gardenia with a banana accord and a touch of muskiness. Since it is discontinued, buying cheap bottles of the Kim Kardashian one is a very reasonable dupe, but if you can get a bottle of this, it is so worth it. It’s quite intoxicating.

Edit: no, not the KKW Crystal Gardenia—the original Kim Kardashian in the purple round bottle. It’s still not as good as Michael Kors, but it’s the closest thing to it. And I don’t feel Tocca Florence is remotely similar to this either. Tocca Florence is extremely similar to Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT and Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely.

smellsgorgeous

We all need to band together and write emails to dossier so they can make a dupe! They’re really nice and responsive.****** Everyone email [email protected]

I pasted the email they sent me below. Super nice and professional, and open to the idea!

I think if we flood their inbox with requests for Michael, they will find it to be a lucrative business venture and make the perfume. Fingers crossed!

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for your email!

We currently do not have any perfume inspired by it, but we are always open to suggestions. That's why I will pass your request to the development team! We cannot make any promises, but we are looking into adding more fragrances to our collection.

In the meantime, I can recommend Sage & Black Tea Renew

Thank you for being so supportive! We wish you a lovely day ahead! 🙏
Adrian.

So this is my mothers FAVORITE fragrance… its super hard to find now that its been discontinued, but I found a small bottle for a STEAL on mercari so I grabbed it up for my mom for Christmas… and of course, I had to test it first. Wow. This is SO gorgeous. I’ve smelled the KK dupe, and honestly, it’s not even close. I gave her a small bottle of that and she said “it’s nice, but it’s not the same” and now smelling this, I can see why. This is fruitier, fresher, more tuberose-y. This bottle is a little older, and you can tell. However, it still smells good. Strong incense and arum lily on my skin, with the twist of tamarind and tuberose on first spritz. I’m pleasantly surprised by this. Not sure why they would ever discontinue this fragrance but hey, I’m not MK so I don’t know. This is a true classic beauty. I love it, and I know my mom will too!

Edit: She got her gift today and she said it smells exactly how she remembers it. Super happy 🫶🏻

Kkw crystal gardenia and tocca Florence and definitely similar

Happy Accident. Im Male. And Men, don't be afraid of this one. We can absolutely pull it off. I sprayed this on my wrist at a sams club by accident and "Knew" instantly that I was in the wrong gender. At first I was like oh man that is straight old lady! However as I shopped around for my things at sams I kept getting whiffs of the Vetiver, Iris, Tuberose, Tamarind and incense. The Tamarind especially works with all of those other notes to really pop as the fragrance develops. When this thing dries down it becomes very smooth and pleasant. Its potent...very potent. So less is more. You can pull this off on your own or layer it with your fav masculine scent to give it a floral touch. Ive done so with Issey's nuit de issey and they get a long pretty well. Amouage Journey man works too. Of course this my take. Your results may vary.

mirrorghost

opens with freesia and lily, closely followed by tuberose. there is a nice musk in the background as well that is neither clean or dirty. a hint of incense and iris. heaviest on tuberose and freesia for me. a pretty white floral musk.

Glyceryl

Some days it smelled like a sweet, sparkling floral bouquet with a hint of banana. Other days it turned into grandmas ashtray. I don’t get it, maybe it’s my skin. I’ll stick to only spraying it on my clothes.

Bodie001

This is probably the first fragrance that really started my love of all things perfume. I loved this when it was first released and I still love it now. I wouldn't call it my signature scent though as I don't often wear it due to it's poor longevity, but I do always pick up the bottle for a loving sniff. It is classy, very feminine and super floral but the notes are blended and balanced so well. I am a white and yellow flower lover, so to me this is a gentle, soft scent whereas those who are not will probably find this far to strong.

emibebi

My fave. Sadly it’s discontinued in my country. Can anyone recommend dupes???

TexasOrangeBlossom

Just finished my bottle. It was nice. It truly grew on me as my bottle aged. The bottle was awful and extremely uncomfortable to spray. The last drops were painfully extracted. I purchased Kim Kardashian to compare the two before I was finished with my bottle. Sure, they are similar, but Kim’s is not as refined and sophisticated. I might miss Michael Kors, but I don’t think Kim Kardashian will suffice for me. I may pass it on to my sister because I think she will be able to appreciate KK more than me.

erin8218

This is a favorite of mine. Smells like photorealistic tuberose. Not like candied/synthetic tuberose in other designer fragrances (my way). A gorgeous aromatic white floral. Great for the white floral girls.

Lovely246

This is, to me, a white floral punch to the face. If you like white florals you will love it but for me it was a scrubber.

Carpe Noctem

Can someone please tell me what the original bottle from 2000 looked like? And/or was it just "Michael" first on the bottle or "Michael Kors" on the original, because ebay sellers are really confusing me now!!

TexasOrangeBlossom

I've had a bottle of Michael Kors for a few years. It honestly never captivated me. It was okay, nice enough but the heavy banana scent was off putting and I never reached for it. However, I'm attempting to use up my smaller bottles, including this one. Maybe it's the weather. Maybe it's the age of the juice. Maybe it's me. Maybe it's all of these things. Well, whatever it is, I like it more now. It's richer, deeper, and smoother. The banana smell is covered by a richer incense smell. Another instance where, for me, an older bottle is better than a new one. It makes me understand why some people prefer vintage bottles. Not only are they more likely the OG formula but they've matured. Matured doesn't mean expired.

Miss boudoir

I believe this perfume was inspired by vintage eternity by Calvin Klein, the pure parfum...

alternateu

A pleasant tuberose, for some reason, smells a bit "candied" and overly sweet, but nice for sure. 7/10.
Average projection and longevity.

mamakatt38

OMG, This Original Formula MICHAEL was just Glorious. I adored it. It was so beautifu. I could swear I used to smell coconut in the topnotes. The Reformulation just doesn't cone close to this Masterpiece

sopelka

@Nicole79 Yes, it's sadly no longer sold in their physical stores either. I was able to see it just a few months ago at Ulta, and it's now gone :-(
I am lucky though because I found a super cheap defective bottle that is still full, and it's the original Michael, before it was renamed into Michael Kors and reformulated. I will cherish it and use sparringly. Good thing it projects like a beast, one spray is enough.

Nicole79

Seems like Michael has been discontinued !😒🤔It is not on the web side any more.....

vanillashpice

I purchased bc so many ppl compared it to Gucci Bloom and this was a little cheaper , it has similar florals but it doesn’t smell the same . Bloom has a more youthful quality somehow , it’s more modern. This isn’t bad, but it reads matronly to me. It’s intensely floral, white floral , mainly tuberose and it’s bubblegum, banana candy even , those little hard banana candies . That’s what I get. I don’t get the tamarind or incense which is what intrigued me . Tuberose lovers rejoice . This is very expensive smelling and classy , it just wasn’t compelling enough for me. Smells like a hotel soap.

cats_eye

This fragrance has not been discontinued people.

moonsunstars

Not a review, but unfortunately I think this beauty has been discontinued. I chatted with a Michael Kors consultant after noticing this no longer on the website. They seemed to confirm it isn’t available 😓

One of my favorite Tuberose fragrances!

Lilli.gesucht

This fragrance smells soft and elegant when spraying it on my skin and clothes, detecting mainly creamy florals and musk notes. I like to wear different fragrances depending on what I'm wearing and what type of event I'm attending. This fragrance pairs well with any look and any occasion. Overall, I love this fragrance and would recommend it to anyone looking to add a modest but undoubtable sensual fragrance to their collection.

Hunnynpink

Someone once gave me a freshly picked magnolia and I swear it smelled just like this perfume... Bright fresh sweet creamy magnolia

Coriemulvey

I bought this one in 02 or 03 and I bought it randomly because of its title “Michael” I had no idea who Michael Kors was back then. My kid brothers name was Michael, and I absolutely adored him… I helped my father raise him and was the only mother figure in his life. I had no idea what was going to happen with this fragrance.. I never expected it to blow up as it did. I also came to love this scent even though I was not into fragrance back then.. it was a total blind buy. I had no idea that by 2010, everyone and their mother would be wearing this scent.. which was only slightly disappointing. It is still iconic, but I do hate that no one can talk about this fragrance without someone bringing up a kardashian. This scent will always remind me of my youth.. and my brother.. even though it’s been high jacked by the worst kind

Edit.. I am currently trying to find out if this has been reformulated. I have a newer bottle, it smells the same.. just maybe not as strong?

jil489

I wanted to like this scent so bad because of all the white florals. It smells like a fresh spring bouquet in the first 15 minutes. Then afterwards, something stinky and fecal comes out in the notes. I think it's the arum lily. Arrgh my nose is just too good at picking up the indoles.

dsmercoco

This is breezy clean and so modern but in the same breath classic. My nose picks up the tuberose straight away along with a supporting freesia but what makes this scent so unique is the banana-y soap like note that sings the whole way thru the life of this fragrance. Longevity is stellar sillage is moderate for the first 3 hours then it pulls in to a more intimate scent. It's a dead ringer for Nasmatto Narcotic Venus. I actually sampled that one first and wanted a fb so badly but when I read others make mention MK was a great substitute I tried it and I'm completely enamored. A 99.9% substitute without the price tag and longevity is better with MK.
One thing I don't like about this is the bottle and sprayer. It's hard for me to get my hand around this chunky bottle and spray the thing at the same time.

cherubi rubi

241
This is a lightly sweet and creamy faint bubblegum tuberose. No mothballs.
There is a funky dirty sock note(which I think is tamarind) in the beginning and I don't understand why they would even put that funky note in. Tamarind pulp smells kind of musty/musky like dehydrated fruit that's being rehydrated in water-not pleasant. That note does fortunately go away fast in the bottle I have. The first bottle I had smelled better without the tamarind funk but it leaked.

Anyway, I don't think this smells like KK at all; KK smelled weaker, more synthetic, a colder floral, not creamy or sweet, and had a mild aquatic note(magnolia?).

8/10-Don't know what the newer version smells like. Not a fan of MK the designer because he strikes me as unpleasant for some reason. But surprise surprise, "Michael" is a surprisingly good tuberose.

caro78

Oh stupid STUPID reformulation
It’s so unbalanced and screechy smells like an imitation

ErinlyT

@HappyGoLuckyStar this one is an absolute Tuberose BOMB for me. So I definitely wouldn’t recommend to people who aren’t sure about Tuberose!! Haha. Maybe it’s a try before you buy type of scent.

adew

This is a powerhouse of DENSE, STRONG and HEAVY white florals, fills a room and grabs attention, yet still so soft. Not that in your mouth taste, if you know what I mean, and I swear for some reason, even though it is not listed in the notes, I get a dry coconut meat slightly toasted/tropical vibe!

It's beautiful, well composed, and suitable all year round. I love this and it is now my signature scent.

My signature scent was the original Kim Kardashian perfume, however, I developed a serious reaction whenever I sprayed it, I would break out in eczema hives all over, so being devastated, I was highly recommended to try Michael by Michael Kors. I blind bought this based on what reviewers said being it was closest to my beloved Kim perfume, and I am so glad I did. In fact, it's better than Kim's. Much more rich smelling <3

and bonus no more eczema! :)

Update March 05 2023:

Over it. Lol. I ended up getting covid in August 2022 and my nose never ever liked the scent again. The toasted coconut has disappeared, it's loud, obnoxious and just smells confuffly (I know it's not a word) lolol. I went back to my KK Signature, brand new bottle this time, and surprisingly havn't had any reactions. Maybe it was just a bad bottle, but needless to say, MK Signature has left the building.

HappyGoLuckyStar

This is a surprise scent for me.
It is floral, light, dense and evoking picture of spring garden after very sunny day which ended with a bit or rain. Lovely, elegant, very feminine scent.
Spring and summer only 😎

However, I have expected totally different juice by the notes that are listed 😳
Yes, there is a lot of fresia, lily and some woodsy accords beautifully blended with soapy background.
But I have no idea why there is no Jasmin among them ….
I get very prominent Jasmin note in the middle notes register.
I insist - there MUST be some Jasmin! 😂

Also, I get something quite close to the drydown, which I smell in case of Jasmin Des Angles by Dior.
Less sweet, but also dense, fresh, and bit of suffocating at the same time.
Those two scents have a lot in common.
Not much presence of Tuberose IMO. it seems pretty safe for those who are shy with Tuberose note 😉
Is anyone here, who can relate to my experience?

Woodamber

This is a lovely perfume. I often reach for it because it is so soft and elegant.
Tuberose is one of my favourite floral notes and this one does not disappoint! I don't mind when notes of tuberose is heavy or overpowering but I know from experience that it can sometimes bother people around me.
But Michael Kors Edp is a perfect alternative for when I want to wear tuberose without it being overpowering (except when I overspray). Its notes of cashmere wood, musk and incense gives it a luxurious and sophisticated character.
I used to wear this only during summer but I have noticed lately that I keep reaching for it as soon as the sun comes out during winter.

mellissawillette

My go to often. It makes a gray sky blue. I always get compliments on this one. Often words like beachy, flower, delicate. I once had someone tell me it smelled like an I had a small bouquet of flowers in my pocket. Great for everyday and doesn't disappoint.

BethyBee

I love tuberose, but there is something in this that really doesn't agree with my nose. Wish I knew what it is. I really dislike this.

alwaysalready

The first fragrance I was ever introduced to and really loved, thanks to a roommate who used to wear it. White florals, and something that isn't tea but reminds me of tea for some reason.

Esrabytm

At first sniff i am confused. It’s really full of basket tuberose an very floral..even so i decided to buy. And now i am not regretful, using everyday and i enjoy it.

stardenise16

I don’t like this, I wanted too but I couldn’t. I don’t really mind tuberose but it’s like a spicy and older grandma tuberose which I don’t like. Also the tamarind note might have also made me dislike this fragrance.

XXX28OOO

I still love this fragrance after 15+ years of wearing it
still smells classy - a strong white floral - and people love it
like EL private collection tuberose gardenia - it works amazingly well with my own personal chemistry - because I get complimented on smelling amazing and am asked what I am earring each time that I wear it!
I smell:
tuberose - and freesia - also a slight bit of vanilla warmth
I DO NOT like spicy or overly warm fragrances - and this one is not!!!
I don't care how long a fragrance has been around I care what it smells like on me
and this one smells GREAT!
if you haven't tried it through all these years - try it now - you won't regret it!

Decemer10

If I had to pick a perfume exuding class, sensuality and freshness, it would be Michael. I love scent of the lily and freesia. Pristine and perfect, making woman more graceful and confident.

mamakatt38

It's so strange, I used to smell a coconut note in the opening when I would first spray this on when it first came out in the early '00's. I don't smell that anymore, even when I track down vintage bottles of the old formula. I suppose whatever notes came across as " coconut" to my nose and brain have decomposed over time and those old bottles now start off straight at the middle notes. I wish that didn't happen to these wonderful older perfumes.

lovetribe

good job. really. I did not buy it just because for me it is too waxy, at times gourmand and the green is a little muted ... in the end it turns out a little banana. narcotic venus is another planet. however, excellent value for money and super performance. 8/10

BEST. PERFUME. EVER.

This beauty gets me tons of compliments every time I wear it.

vulgarsaint

I was desperately searching for a new everyday signature, something that would distinguish me from other people, last long and project well without being too overpowering. Niche fragrances are usually too expensive to be worn every single day and most of the designer fragrances I liked were just overdone, I was smelling them at every corner and just got tired. It was a long search that came to an end when I decided to risk it and blindly buy a bottle of Michael.

To be honest, I didn’t even look at Michael Kors’ direction during my search. It’s just not a house I expected good quality fragrances from, as I’m also not a fan of the fashion. But one random day while searching for inspiration I read that this used to be Kourtney Kardashian’s signature. Lord knows, the Kardashians are the last people whom I let influence me, but Kourtney just looks like she smells good so I did more research and here we are.

Tuberose heavy and sweet at first, it dries down to the most beautiful, luxurious gardenia and musk with the cashmere adding something so warm and cozy to it. It’s definitely not basic either. I was a little scared, because I many reviews mentioned an artificial banana scent, which is something I absolutely despise, but luckily I don’t get banana at all. What I do agree with though, is that it gives you this humid vibe. Especially after first spraying it.

I feel like the floral-musk-cashmere combination makes it suitable for every season, for both day and night time. The florals make it warm weather appropriate, without turning it into the basic kind of summer scent (salty, citrusy, very fresh). The addition of cashmere and musk allows it to transition into the colder months seamlessly.
I definitely recommend to go by the “less is more” motto when it comes to spraying it though.

Longevity is great, it lasted on my skin for many hours. Same with projection, I have been stopped twice while walking my dog.

I think it was a bit of a risky blind buy, but sometimes risks pay off. If you get a chance to try it first I’d definitely recommend to do so (I personally just couldn’t find it at any store). But overall this is what I’ll be smelling like until further notice.

Dani C.

There is few times on perfumery where I can enjoy Tuberose. Well, definitely here with Michael by Michael Kors, the beauty happened. Soapy, elegant, long lasting, statement maker and a compliment getter. What else do we need? A huge love for me, not for everyday though 😉

sommersne

I almost gave this beauty away 😭
Did not like it during the winter but after a humid summer day I fell in love again.
Wears the best during spring and summer.

Shinara

Longevity of this perfume is great however quantity is crucial. It can turn to endless nightmare with overdose or you can simply enjoy of subtle, delicious scent of just a single spray.

Meadowberg

Mmm warm creamy banana-y goodness! I put it down to my untrained nose that I could smell banana until I was reassured reading some of the reviews below!
I would wear this scent shopping with the girls or breezing around the beach town on a leisurely summer holiday, which is odd because it's not your usual fresh summer fragrance. I think it comes alive in all weathers - comforting in the cold and sultry in the warm.
This is my favourite tuberose - I'm not grown up enough for the Carnal Flowers of this world - but this one is just right, feminine and sensual. Such an interesting scent - obviously comprised of flowers but not "floral" as such. Too much can be quite sickly, but a subtle waft of it is just delicious. Yes, it's not high end designer and yes, it's worn by Kim K. Obviously this isn't a Chanel. But it oozes feminine charm and comforting, alluring, exotic warmth. Lovely.

gardeniapetunia

I love this and have the original bottles that only have Michael on them and the new bottle, the old is better and more rounded, deeper and potent but the new is still wonderful.
That said, and I mainly am writing this review to say that I HATE bananas, the taste, smell and the texture so when I see a review that mentions banana aromas here, I shudder. I do not pick up banana anything only flowers and am thankful.
Venting over!

GinCatsBooks

Michael Kors Signature, where can I begin with this one? First smelt in 2019 then sampled every time I saw it since then, I remember being enchanted by its clean, banana-y scent and the really nice "humid" feeling it evoked, which, as one reviewer said and I agree, is like that of walking into a botanic garden where orchids and other exotic flowers grow.

I've been on a huge gardinea/tuberose quest and this one, quite frankly is up there with Gucci Bloom and Do Son for me, but despite the comparisons to both Bloom and Do Son, this smells like neither of them on my skin, Michael Kors is thick, luscious but not (to me at least) cloyingly thick or unbearable.
The initial opening is a fresh, crisp blast of freesia and peony before tuberose comes forward and smoothly mixes with the other floral notes to create this gorgeous, clean but not scrubbed clean banana-y floral scent, further drying down to a slightly banana-y, cashmere musk which smells delicate, sophisticated and alluring. Unlike other tuberose scents, this one isn't screechy or sharp, the addition of freesia, peony, arum lily and osmanthus tame the sharp edges that tuberose can have whilst tamarind adds some interique, iris adds some gentle powder and incense, musk and cashmere give the florals a soft, almost tactile and snuggly background. I can't really discern all the notes in this because it is so well blended but its far from being a boring, linear scent and it truley is a distinctive scent that you won't smell on everyone else thats for sure.

Longevity is excellent at 8 hours with a soft bordering on moderate silage, I can see this working year round and for all occasions provided it is worn with gentle application, I can picture someone in an office wearing this with a white button down shirt and I can equally see someone wearing this with heals in a navy wrap dress to a formal event as well, its an alluring, soft, snuggly scent but it also feels grown up, modern and sophisticated, theres a reason why this has been around for so long, its a real masterpiece!

Mc1995

I’m just a sucker for creamy Tuberose and Gardenia fragrances, there is something so comforting about this scent. Starts out a bit loud or harsh like most white florals but give it a couple minutes. This smells like home. I must’ve smelled something similar in my childhood. Or maybe my nose just likes it haha. The original Kim Kardashian scent is very close. Sometimes I like that one better as it seems to have some spices to warm it up. Also a much cheaper dupe. But if you find this one, and you like Tuberose, I recommend it.

Emera1d

I got a 30ml bottle mainly because of the comparisons to Gucci Bloom and it was a disappointment. To my nose they do not smell alike. Sure they are both white floral, tuberose centred scents but this is where the similarities end. Michael Kors is definitely heavier, more complex and I understand the reviews that states it smells a bit oily. To me that "oily-ness" reminds me of a hot humid climate. The feel you get from walking in a hothouse in the botanic gardens, where they keep all the orchids, palms and other exotic plants which require a high level of moisture in the air. It gives me a similar vibe to Estee Lauder Beyond Paradise (which I do prefer as a tropical fantasy perfume). Fiancée said it smells like laundry powder. Overall not bad, makes me dream of tropical holiday and will definitely use on hot summer days, but will not be replacing the bottle.

I was looking for a dupe for the beloved and discontinued Fragile by JPG, and I saw that this fragrance was probably the closest to it. I got the chance to sniff this MK on a blotter at a duty free and I was in love at first sniff! Super spicy tuberose!

But then....I came to the comments section here and I read “bubblegum banana tuberose”. And ugh, yep that’s an accurate description. To me it is a spicy bubblegum tuberose with a hint of slight banana. I think the banana is a result of sweet freesia and tuberose.

I generally hate bubblegum tuberose as I smells so artificial candy to me. That combo of vanilla/sweet with tuberose does not sit well to me ( Velvet Vanilla Im looking at you!)

Once I read that I couldn’t unsniff it. I still like it but I’m imagining now how annoying and cloying it will become.

I’ll have to get a decant to sample on skin, but it’s a pass for now.

perfumecandygirl26

I wanted to like this, but all I get is that wet dog, outside after the rain scent!

MissAleksandra

I actually really enjoy this fragrance, even though it is not generally what I’d like. A white floral-tuberose-musky-bubble gum, very girly and fresh. The ABSOLUTE same fragrance as Nasomatto Narcotic V, just 6 times cheaper. If any of you came here to check if it’s similar - yes. It smells exactly the same.

Josesalinas

Very blinding tuberose lol bubblegummy and artificial banana candy flavoring, great clubbing spring summer frag, banana bubblegum bomb..

ginandrice

Michael Kors is a dense white floral that's predominantly tuberose. It has a kind of monotone, lotion-y creaminess to it, and even a bit of an oily vibe.

Additional white florals are present within the tuberose cloud, making it more dimensional. The only note that stands apart from the tuberose, for me, is a minor orris note, with its woody, green, rootiness.

I’ve long been fascinated by this fragrances. I find it simultaneously seductive and a bit repulsive. The kind of fragrance that smells intoxicating on another person but a little too oppressive on myself. It’s tropical, yet without the lush and varied bouquet of most tropical fragrances. It’s summery, yet without the aquatic or fruity-fresh notes of most beach fragrances. It’s skin-like, yet sort of filmy, bordering on cloying.

MK lays over you like a creamy white sheet during a sweltering midday summer nap: at once light and oppressive.

Thai_Florist

Heard that the latest formular is not a good one, so I search the older reformular in 2014. I don’t know this one is still original or not but at the bottle it still “MICHAEL” without kors. When I spray I think it was a Nichane Tuberoza but not much a sharp banana smell. I think this one is sweeter than Gucci Bloom, Narcotic V and Nishane I thought because of the tamarind. It smell so nice and I completely agree that this remind me to Tuberose + Jasmine = Sweet Gardenia, love it!

s2jkbrad

Creamy, white tuberose and jasmine mix to smell like gardenias. I do not get much of the incense note. This is pure tuberose, it’s loud and the silage and longevity are big. I really enjoy this and I keep sniffing my wrists and pillow, which I also sprayed. Sweet and intoxicating, not the the faint of heart or those who want to blend in.

Markellam92

After midnight shimmer this one is probably my second favorite perfume by Michael Kors. I can smell it on me after hours and the silage is pretty good the weird thing is that on my skin after the dry down it smells like a very ripe sweet banana and I'm not the only one smelling that😅my mother tested it on her skin and on her it smells completely different more powdery flowery sweet!

Air.astarte

Sitting with a perfume chemist and experiencing and distinguishing not only all the notes in perfumery, but the variations of each one, is on my "bucket list". There are so many perfumes that list tuberose, yet I detect none. This is one. There must be a variation I'm less sensitive to. The one I love is on the spectrum of indolic, banana, creamy, bubble gummy. I don't know what this one is.
Michael Kors smells like a dupe for a drugstore scent I had as a teenager called April Fields. I was expecting something deeper and more complex... I'm not sure why because the scent matches the bottle. It's light and simple. Pleasant. Very feminine and comforting. When I think of creamy, I think of thick lactonic scents. I would call this a warm, oily white floral. Springtime in a bottle. It's compared to Gucci Bloom but I interpret Bloom as a cold watery floral.

T_S

This is a gorgeous, intoxicating take on tuberose/gardenia/tropical florals. It has a creaminess that rounds it out and makes it easier to wear than others. A little goes a long way, unless you're on vacation in Hawaii, in which case--douse yourself in it! I wore it on my last vacation and I could literally spray it head to toe and within minutes it just faded into the background with the plumeria and ginger and tuberose flowers everywhere. It's lovely no matter where you are, but recognize that it's more summery and tropical. This is my husband's favorite fragrance on me. Every time I wear it he says I smell like Hawaii.

ingridpeta

Tuberose... a spring/summer fragrance, a statement perfume. Very unique. A male I work with asked me what I was wearing, he thought it was intoxicating. Stunning and strong. Almost an addictive scent, very uplifting. Tropical vibes. Helps to give me a strong woman, confident vibe.
Reminds me a bit of Estee Lauders Birds of Paradise.

JolieSucre

This is a beautiful scent with a very rare take on tuberose, it has the same vibe and warmth as perfumes from the 60s- Brigitte Badot's favourite scents were Guerlain Jicki and Fracas. It is quite potent, with a very dominant tuberose, so if you expect a concert of blended flowery notes you will be surprised.

Indeed, 'animalic' as the review below mentioned. 100% agree - this is the only difference from Kim Kardashian's eponymous perfume.

The animalic ingredient to me smells like plantago. I am almost positive it's the orris root, as it smells like the exact same note from Juicy Couture Couture Couture perfume (the one with the oval bottle, with an oblong flowery lace-like metal piece on the cap, their first one, I think, that became famous way back in 2010 or so). In that respect, MK and Juicy Couture are highly similar.

However, the MK tones that note down and gives it a skin-like scent, much creamier yet a tad musky-acrid. That is the only difference I detect from Kim Kardashian's perfume, and it doesn't change the similarity.

ma2780

This is an animalic tuberose. In the beginning you really get the bittersweetness from the incense and tamarind, which soon settles and it dries down to a beautiful, rich, creamy, slightly dirty/woody tuberose. As far as white florals go, this is a more mature one that could easily be worn in cooler weather because of how complex ad creamy it is. It's hard for me to comment on wear time/ silage because I go nose blind to it, but I do notice it on clothes the next day.

tjos23

This was a signature scent for me back in the early 2000s. I wore it until I started exploring other perfumes. For some reason I never looked back until now. I recently purchased a 30 ml bottle just for ole time sake. When I sprayed... it evoked the same emotion as being reunited with a lost love. This scent is sophisticated, warm, creamy, and inviting. In my opinion, the tuberose and freesia are blended perfectly. I am so happy to have this one back in my collection. Honestly, I think this fragrance will always be a part of my collection.

RachelDesiree

I honestly did like this perfume however down to the last it became an aggravating scent to the point I couldn't wait to use it all. It wasnt stink but it became to usual and comfortable. I could smell jasmine, or some vanilla. But nice and springy.

aris1223

God! I absolutely love this. I stumbled across this fragrance at a Duty Free last week and i fell head over heels. It gave me that rare occurring WOW factor. It's delicious , fleshy tuberose and gardenia. At the same time i feel some warmth from it. Absolutely stunning in my opinion! I ordered the original "Michael" sample vials from ebay just to compare. Have worn this to bed and during the day for a whole week and received 3 compliments! Will definitely be repurchasing this gem , i'm also looking for the body cream.

benavida

I wore this as a student in the mid-2000s, and it was big, bad, and (white) floral. Gardenia alllll day.

I'm sure I didn't pull it off then and I wouldn't wear it now lol but it was the first real perfume I had chosen and purchased myself so it will always have a place in my heart.

indiglo

Used to have and love this years ago, well before I discovered this site or understood much about perfume or notes.
Recently I was thinking about it and looked it up here. Oh, I see it has an incense note, no wonder I loved it, some of my other favorites have that in common.
So, curious to see if I still liked it, got a sample. Yes! This is like I remember, and now I understand the notes and can appreciate its construction better.
Gosh, if I buy a full bottle I hope I don't get some weak reformulated thing I can't smell, like some people I've read about.
Glad to experience this again!

DarlingNikki

This is one of a dozen fragrances that I love on other people, but cannot abide on my skin. There was always something about it that bothered me, something that smelled screechy, shampoo-like, and annoying, but I didn't know what it was until I discovered Fragrantica and voila! Two notes are the culprits here: freesia (the screechiness) and peony (the shampoo vibe I detest). Without those two notes, this would likely be the only tuberose heavy scent that I could even remotely call a like on my skin; all others that I have tried fail miserably and make me retch for some reason. I will say that the comparisons to Gucci Bloom aren't that far off except Bloom is far smoother without the freesia/peony aspect and it has a nice touch of greenness from the Rangoon creeper note.

bel.gravia

The same idea as Dior J'Adore - a flower with fruits as the dominant accord. Michael is just more woody, incensy and overall more well blended, unexpected and intriguing. Freesia and tuberose are in perfect accord.

kkaattjjeess

If you plan on buying this based on the fact that people claim it's similar to Gucci Bloom, please don't! Luckily I only bought a sample because I don't like this. Has some artificial sweetness about it that overpowers the floral scent, I dislike this, Bloom on the other hand is my signature scent. This is also a lot more linear compared to Bloom (which isn't a negative, I'm just saying).

queenofhellfire666

wore this layered with elizabeth arden pleasures on my wedding day. Love, so feminine. like a lighter more romantic version of amarige. warm and fuzzy like cashmere.

LibraMoon

Tuberose Heaven, I love this. It lasts a long time on me and I always get compliments.

Vickalicious

This fragrance is absolutely intoxicating! I first tried this about 15 years ago, and it was too strong and headache inducing for me. I loved the way it smelled on a friend, but I couldn't wear it. I gave it another shot, and purchased it when I saw it for a good deal at TJ Maxx, and now I LOVE it! This is a heady tuberose fragrance, that I find is rather linear. It starts off heavy and intense, so I would not overspray, but it wears down beautifully. Generally, this is the type of fragrance I'd wear is Spring or Summer (as long as it is not too humid, as it could become cloying), but I've also worn this in the winter, and it works just fine.

Erica.Cass

Very strong tuberose, way too strong in the opening. Must wait for the dry down for this fragrance to become pleasant, which takes a really long time to dry down. Go very light or it will become a headache.
I would not repurchase. Just too much of something not good.

TexasOrangeBlossom

I’m still not exactly sure what notes are in my bottle because my bottle looks like this one, but says Michael Kors. Since my bottle looks like this one, not the one listed as Michael Kors, I will put my review here.
After months of sporadic use, I’m honestly still not sure about it. I wish I could love it like a lot of you do. Fragrance starts out strong with a very floral banana Laffy Taffy quality. It’s almost too much for me, and then it mellows to a tolerable level without ever giving me a headache. On my skin, longevity is okay, but it’s a clean skin scent by hour 5 or so. Lasts much longer on my clothes. My husband isn’t a fan of the opening either, but is quite pleased with it on dry down. Also, it has one of the most awkward and difficult to spray bottles that I have ever seen. I can see how people have issues using the bigger bottle. I’ll finish my 1 oz bottle, but sad to say I don’t see repurchasing it.

sommersne

I blind bought this.
The first hour it sat on the skin I only smelled tuberose. I did not like the intensity of it.
Just before i was about to get a headache the smell changed. Tuberose stepped a bit in the background and all the other notes came out. The dry down was so pleasant. Great springtime scent. The dry down is an inoffensive day time scent that smells like a clean professional woman. I heard Kim Kardashian used to wear it.

Nicole79

Well..Mk..it's kind of Addictive to me...I allready had 3 bbtles till now...The first time I had it I wasn't too impressed by it.I found it nice flowery tuberose reminescent to Amarige. But I enjoyed wearing it! Since then..after I stoped wearing it for a while...I kept coming back to Mk...I missed it!So I end buying another bottle. That is strange for me as I don't consider my self a flower fragrance lover! Maybe I like tuberose?!

My signature scent. Any weather hands down I love this ish. Such a pleasant universal scent. Date night .. clubbing ... casual it does not matter. It last alll day . You won’t fill a room but you will defiantly get noticed. Only thing I hate the packing I hate the bottle . I have the 3.4 oz bottle and it’s so thick it doesn’t fit comfortably in my hand to squeeze 🙄 ugh.

justchillinxo

This is a really nice white floral. It’s not too sweet or too indolic. It makes me picture fresh dewy leaves in a rainforest.

cemrelo

Every time I squeeze this perfume, I feel like a little girl wearing her mother 's high heels. satisfied.
freesia is felt in the first spray. but then strokes your skin with misky tuberose like a cashmere sweater from start to finish. tuberose is one of my favorite flowers in perfume. and tuberose is the queen of this perfume. all day silage and persistence i can say as good. 10 hours on my skin is very comfortable. The smell all day comes to my nose. felt around. a slightly mature smell, perhaps more sedate in women over 30 years. But that doesn't stop me from loving her. There is no note inside to scratch your nose. a completely creamy bouquet of flowers. even completely tuberose and somewhat musky.
I understand this very clearly from the bottle they made this business perfume to the business women who took their age. don't like the bottle, the sprayer is so bad. but I'll always have it for the smell.

modernmabuse

Tuberose, Tuberose and Tuberose again. Nothing else!

Sirène Cryptique

Regal. Self-possessed. A true Queen.

I am overjoyed to have this in my little, carefully curated collection; it is like nothing else I currently own. I love the bottle as well although I loved it more before another reviewer pointed out that it’s faceted in the shape of an ‘M’… Considering the name of the perfume, I feel there’s an overkill of self-reference, like someone who habitually speaks about themselves in the third person; I find it kind of obnoxious, bordering on tacky. The same goes for the notoriously malfunctioning atomizer mechanism, which is also obviously another …‘M’… It looks pretty but got stuck on the very first spritz & I had to push it back up with my finger. Not cool. There are countless complaints of this happening, why not update the packaging to actually be functional when so much money is being spent? Respect the customer; this perfume has an almost cult-following that would appreciate it. It would have been a nice touch & truly luxurious to have used some sort of actual metal or real mirror on the top instead of something that feels hollow & plastic. Anyway. Most importantly, I’m in love with the scent & find it so interesting that out of every perfume I’ve researched so far, never have I read more comments of it being peoples most, or sometimes only, complimented perfume! (Aside from Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT - It might be a tie.)

I do certainly get some bananas & cream~esque-Juicy Fruit gum-banana Runts candy notes & was hoping for a bit more of that because I am obsessed with that faux banana flavouring. What I do smell very clearly is freesia. I know it because when in my teens I used this awful freesia scented deodorant that I absolutely loved at the time but of course, ended up smelling like those middle/high school years, a time which I would have loved to fast-forward through. However, here… I love it, as it lends that slightly gourmand/banana effect. If those comments were off putting in any way, I wouldn’t expect too much of that. This is definitely a chic, elegant, floral-musky fragrance. To me there is something almost spiritual about the scent, maybe because I feel elevated while wearing it & altogether the notes communicate something pristine & minimalistic. & Although I haven’t kept up with the Kardashians in a very long time, I did take note that this is apparently Kim K’s favourite perfume. It is gorgeous.

Tonight I will fall asleep with it adorning my décolletage, wrists & hair.

Anamandy

After hating heavy fleshy white flowers like gardenia and tuberose thanks to fragrances like White Shoulders and Giorgio which seemed to be everywhere when I was growing up, I'm suddenly drawn to fragrances with tuberose in them. I smelled the pure tuberose essential oil at my local health food store and think this had something to do with it as I found that intoxicating

I purchased Michael Kors in the hope that I would be smelling a tuberose centric scent which would blend the essence of the essential oil I smelled with other notes to highlight it's beauty. Unfortunately, all I smell is a buttery tuberose not much different from the essential oil I smelled. While I think it is a nice fragrance it lacks the complexity I was seeking.

Tt777

Funny story why I own this and why it was once my signature scent-
I got a free hairspray in a gift bag years ago that ppl would always compliment my “perfume” .....seriously in my whole life I’ve never been complimented so much over a scent- I walked into a new job one day and someone started announcing someone wearing Michael Kors, who is wearing Michael Kors? Someone smells really good!- I did not respond as I had no idea she could smell my hairspray nor had any idea what Michael Kors perfume smelled like- she eventually pinpointed that it was me she smelled and I told her I had no scent on but only hairspray but the scent is strong- she urged that I find the perfume to compare-

I purchased a bottle and don’t feel it smells like the hairspray but has a similar white flower blend- the opening of Michael Kors is not for everyone but I love the drydown on my skin- it is hard to describe but I wish I could bottle it instead of waiting over an hr or 2 for it to develop. I have yet to find another scent that blends tuberose as this perfume does- it smells current, classy and feminine- I imagine the person who wears this is someone self assured and confident. I find tuberose, gardenia and jasmine harsh or very vintage or mature smelling in other fragrances- Michael Kors sure knows what he is doing in his line- white florals blended beautifully- it is really lovely and I will always have it in my collection-

Btw when I’m complimented when wearing this scent is always in the dry down phase I mentioned earlier- truly unique and heavenly

delightme5

Not generally a fan of M Kors fragrances i tend to find them leaning towards flat and one dimensional and just lacking in some sort of finesse. But for this - a nice blast of sweet perfectly white fleshy banana, not over ripe and definitely not starchy. I think the lovely white flowers help lend this tropical sensation, frangipani is somewhere here also.
Slowly, like the aroma of baking biscuits heightens...so does this, and you smell it in all its poignant sweet white glory, you notice the tuberose more so now.
Its a cool but THERE fragrance, yes, there are some creamy buttery woods that inter mingle with it all, but.. you must surrender to your inner love of florals in the end.

vixeyv

I had this perfume based on reviews on wanting to experience a heady, hypnotic seductive tuberose scent. To be honest, it smelt more like caramelised banana... was not a fan. Did not feel sexy on me. I sold it at a market for $20

cocofluff

This is a very nice fleshy tuberose. It's indolic at the start and stays so for a while. There's a lot going on here. It does indeed smell similar to others (such as Narcotic Venus) but it also stands its ground by having sillage, longevity, and smelling great in addition to being interesting and changing its fragrance over time and with the seasons. Very nice! I have a small bottle and I wear it from time to time. -

Bambi.fq

This doesn't smell 'sexy' on me like it does on others, rather it's very lady-like and self-assured. I had a bottle (blind buy), and I used up the scent for work and church. I got bored of it. It smells abit too serious and matronly for my liking, something a rich housewife would smell like. There is also a weird note that reminds me of nail polish remover and banana. Tbh, I'm not the biggest fan of straight-up tuberose, eventhough I'm a lover of floral scents. All that aside, it is a clean tuberose that is easy to wear. It's somewhat aquatic, so refreshing enough for summer, but good all year around. I did get compliments that I smell nice, mostly from ladies. Good sillage, good longevity. Do not overspray this one. Will not repurchase.

stayathomesiren

this is one of my favorite tuberose fragrances of all time. i am NOT a fan of musk or woods, but those notes don't stand out to me in this scent at all, either on paper or on skin. i just get a sweet tuberose with a suntan lotion vibe, very glamorous, sexy, and feminine. works great in hot weather.

Supernova07

This was one of the first designer perfumes I bought for myself (rather than my then normal Bath & Body Works toilet waters). It was a gateway to the power of fragrance to evoke moods that lingered for hours. Sexiness, confidence and beauty. I felt them all while wearing this scent.

I have since moved on to other more complex fragrances, but every once in a while I’ll spritz some on for a date or special event. Then, I’m transported to a more innocent time when a fragrance could make an insecure girl feel like a woman. If you can find a bottle of the original formulation, it’s worth a blind buy — especially for sweet, spicy tuberose and musk lovers.

BrunetteDoll

Sexiness!

It emphasizes the "womanity" in every woman. No seriously this should be named Womanity, sorry Mugler.

I personally enjoy this femme style of perfumes be it floral, sweet, fruity but this one seems to be noticed by others as well. Even the cashiers acknowledge it and compliment. Women would ask and say they gotta get a bottle for themselves as well.

This is my date night, wanting to impress fregrance. This is how a woman who's aware of her inner queen smells like.

What more can I say - this is a glorious Tuberose Heaven! Normally I have not been a fan of Tuberose however I decided to dabble in it one more time. Michael is a smooth feminine slightly sweet Tuberose that is pure innocence and beauty. If you do not like Tuberose stay away all costs. This has tremendous lasting power. One spray on my wrist carried on until the next morning with soft wiffs of it still coming off my pajama top. It's beautiful but do not go heavy handed. This is one of those scents that if you douse yourself it in, you will repel others. Just a good hefty spray or two is all that is needed. People who come within arms length or lean in will be drawn to this. It's beautiful. The bottle is fabulous. I love how stout and heavy it is.

I have Jo Malone's Tuberose Angelica and I think I love Micheal better.

SandraXX

This was my wedding and honeymoon perfume. Such a treasure.

When I was on the search for that special one perfume, I have tested so many of them! I knew it must be floral, fresh but with spice or musk.

Until then I wasn't familiar with tuberose or gardenia scents as these flowers don't grow locally. But I loved the scent instantly. It gets deeper with time, I think incense comes through. But it always stays fresh and effortlessly classy. It makes me feel polished and pristine.

oldleather

doesn't smell good on my skin but smells amazing on my clothes. definitely a straight forward tuberose scent. smells a lot like banana to my nose, which I really enjoy. lots of tropical vibes. Kim kardashian's signature scent is similar but way more musky.

Bubbles1964

A clean, tropical leaning tuberose scent which also smells like gardenia on my skin. One spray fills a room. A very easy to wear perfume. This is not unique if that’s something you are wanting, but it is still very fem and lovely.

mamakatt38

I love this scent and I miss it soooooooo much! The reformulation that they now call " Michael Kors" instead of " Michael" is nowhere near the same. I want this version back. There was no need to change it, it was perfect as it was. I hate when perfume companies/ designers change a good perfume for no reason but to make it worse.

mira3343

Sorry for the lovers of this fragrance.I threw it in the garbage.
I do not know that I describe perfume but this fragrance is very very annoying too.
I sprayed the perfume on my hands. And all that I'm close to his name. It does not suit me completely.
4/10.

Anne00

I still have a bottle of this but it's getting harder and harder to find it in the stores. Even online.
Discontinued?!

Carpe Noctem

Oh no. I'm in a store and sprayed this on me, but I think someone replaced the perfume in it with a nuclear waste product instead. Shall I alert everyone in the store to evacuate stat? I wonder if I will make it in time to tell other people, what with the migraine coming on and my breath caught in my throat from the poison. Will I collapse? I have flagged down a salesperson to tell them of the impending disaster.

Oh, nevermind. They tell me it really IS perfume in that bottle. No need to evacuate the store. After they gave me oxygen and a few slaps to the back, I am thinking maybe I should still buy a bottle in case of war or other emergency to use on my enemies. Very effective.

Mdox407

BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL...AND...BEAUTIFUL!!

FINALLY!!...A beautiful, clean, classy, white floral perfume without fruity notes overload!!!

This one has JUST the right amount of sweet and the clean vibes comes from the white florals with a touch of musk.

A lot of people mention a "banana vibe" with this one and I don't get that whatsoever. This one in my eyes...is DAMN CLOSE to perfect in the perfume world.

The only complaint that I have is that cheap ass lid! Lol. That ugly metal/plastic contraption looks like it's the ugly part that belongs UNDER a luxurious lid, preferably that would have matched the light, pretty color of the liquid.

Also...I must say...that this does indeed smell 98% identical to Kim Kardashian's debut perfume. The only real difference is that Kim's perfume lasts longer...but doesn't project as well whereas Michael Kors only lasts about 4 hours but 3 of those 4 hours it projects VERY well. At least 5-6 feet of throw if you use 4 sprays. So it's kind of a toss up there as to which you would prefer. Kim's perfume lasts a little longer lasting about 5-6 hours on me but only projects about 2 feet.

Overall...I do really love this perfume! Since I already have Kim's perfume...I wasn't sure I wanted to shell out the money for this one but I found a used 1 ounce bottle on Ebay that I only paid about $15 for. And my Kim K perfume was on it's last few sprays so I figured why not? Got it...used it...and came to my full time job with it on today and 2 people told me how amazing I smelled at the very beginning of the day. One of them actually told me she was immediately putting it on her wish list for her upcoming birthday and had me write down the name of it for her right away so that one of her family members would buy it for her.

So what's my opinion?
I hate to say it but...to 90% of the population...Kim Kardashian's debut perfume in the dark purple bottle will fit the bill just perfectly for a third of the price. You can get the big 3.4 ounce bottle of that one for around $20.

However...for those of you that money is no object and you have it to spend...you may prefer this one as even though it doesn't last as long...it's potency is most definitely more impressive and it makes it presence more known. Not to mention I know some people have a big ego and when asked...would much rather say "I'm wearing Michael Kors" as opposed to saying "I'm wearing Kim Kardashian's perfume." (<-- Some people...not me. I'll proudly state whatever I'm wearing.)

Scent Itself - 10/10

Projection - 8/10

Longevity - 6/10

Overall Score - 9/10

Huge thumbs up on this one! Now I need to try more from this house!!

sibaraa

Imagine you are trapped in a tuberose cage and can'tget out of it....

Princess

Pure tuberose :) Longevity all day, sillage medium.

justchillinxo

Interesting at first but it’s kinda sharp and gives me a headache

Mbrock

This is stright tuberose. I dont get anything spicy or tropical. Just tuberose. While it is pretty & feminine its nothing special or standout. Not sexy. This is an office perfume if you dont over spray because it does have some heavy sillage & long longevity. This is an ok for me. I wouldnt rebuy it.

Rosemary14

The reviews are correct. This is a very nice buttery tuberose floral fragrance. It was one of the first fragrances I smelled in the early 2000’s that made me graduate from a perfume “nope” person to a perfume “God Yes” person. Back then I didn’t know the difference between notes or what I even liked. I just knew that I’d tried so many fragrances that repelled me and this one was what I wanted to smell like. I mean this scent is like an old flame lover. I stray and go from one tuberose scent to another. I get excited by some and fall in love with some but they are infatuations. I keep going back to my true tuberose love Michael.

It is very similar to Gucci Bloom. It’s a little more creamy and layered. It has a nice light incense note with Cashmere Wood making it just a touch deeper while Gucci Bloom has honeysuckle and green notes to lighten it a tiny bit along with orris root that adds a touch of powder. But, the two fragrances are very similar. I own both fragrances and can see now why I liked Bloom so much. I forgot I even owned Michael and now when I compare the two fragrances they are almost identical. I’m so glad I rediscovered this perfume in the back of my closet in a box! I also discovered a full bottle of MK Suede which is even better. The banana smell so many people are getting comes from the dry down, skin chemistry, and the creaminess of this fragrance in my opinion. It doesn’t smell like straight up banana, but it’s coming from that smooth richness of tuberose combined with the musk and cashmere wood. Cashmere wood seems to add and extra layer of smoothness in almost every fragrance I’ve smelled it in. If you like creamy tuberose fragrances then you will probably like this.

There is a reason so many people love this fragrance. It’s just a gorgeous composition. It’s very smooth, deep, fleshy, and a little carnal and it has great longevity which is something that many white florals that I love lack. They are beautiful but fleeting.

I’ve been wearing this for a couple of days now in a row and it does have a tropical feeling when it dries down. Maybe it has something to do with the tamarind? It’s a tropical spice that I don’t know much about. It has a very sensuous personality and I love it. It may not be super unique perfume, but do you want to smell super unique or just amazing?

jenn.ca

I’m surprised I like this at all! The floral notes are to die for! Intense without being too heady, a little carnal. This is what I call a sexy fragrance. I can imagine somebody wearing this on their way to dinner, only for things to escalate in the end.

227jaman

Very similar to Tokyo milk La Vie la mort, longer lasting tho

Rose_Noire

I don't wear this very often because I smell it on so many people but literally every time I wear it somebody compliments me or asks me what it is. It's such a beautiful creation, so smooth and creamy and suits every kind of temperature year-round. Just gorgeous.

Vixmix

This was an impulse purchase in 2011 and probably my first true floral fragrance - i have never received so many compliments on a perfume! The compliments were not even how good my perfume smelt but just how good *i* smelt. Since then i have always kept this in my collection.

aelyssadb

I have over 100 fragrances and I think I have found my signature! This is absolutely amazing, if you love sweet white florals, you will love this. Fragrance does not last on me and I have to reapply at least 2 to 3 times in my day but this baby is a two spray max! and you are set. I had a 3.4oz bottle but my mum was in love with this scent so Byebye 3.4oz bottle. Soon my 50ml will be here. I know Kim kardashian signature fragrance is similar but in my opinion it doesn't have Michaels kors refinement and creaminess.

Nicole79

There are people here that got confused -about Michael Kors Fragrances.----So...Michael by Michael Kors It's the first fragrance relesead in 2000,the Signature that it was Not discontinued!! !! The one that it's been discontinued is Michael Kors by Michael Kores. I hope it helps.

akawanis

Michael Kors' aura's so chic, it makes me feel like royalty. Like Meghan Markle sparkling on her wedding day. And this ride doesn't turn into a pumpkin at midnight -- it lasts and LASTS!

Despite the high votes on the 'reminds me of', there's no resemblance to the common girls like Florence, Kimmy K, and Gucci Bloom. Florence is fruitier, Kardashian offering has less tuberose, and Gucci Bloom lacks the 'wow factor' .. this mineral-y note that feels like you're surrounded by expensive stone architecture. Kors also offers a striking Leather facet, not present in the others. I'm surprised only 3 reviewers have mentioned the leather accord so far.

Received a generous decant from a kind swapper, and adding to the Want List for 2018.

Starlett_Sexton

This smells so tropical... i use too own this. Few years ago, sadly it didn’t lay right on my skin... great longevity tho.

dormir6

I hate tuberose. Versace Blond or Fracas could kill me instantly.
This one is Just beautiful. In the first hour somehow I have a few moments of struggle, but IT worth.
For me MK is a big, fresh, pink smile, the beginning of spring, a new start in life.
Luxurious,playful.
I love the sweetness of drydown, it is creamy, fruity.
Just beautiful!!!!!

Lilacs&Lavender

This is a love for me, however ....I find it fairly indistinguishable from Kim Kardashian and Gucci Gucci Bloom (I've got all three and then some - I may have a slight Tuberose addiction, ahem). Michael does have a subtle incense note which keeps the sweetness in check.

If you are looking for a strong Tuberose fragrance, and budget is an issue, KK is the way to go in my opinion.

Silage and longevity are OK with Michael, but if I really want it to go further, I layer the perfume with Michael Kors body lotion. Again, Kim K has a much less expensive body lotion. Both MK and KK lotions have a slight glisten to them which isn't as skanky as it sounds. Quite subtle, so you won't look like you are about to go clubbing if you have the lotion on.

One negative for Michael is the spraying mechanism - I don't find it very ergonomic because the plunger lies almost flush with the top of the bottle, making it more difficult than it should be to spray. Unless I give it a strong, quick press, the liquid dribbles down the bottle. The bottle is beautiful though, so it's a minor matter.

Perfumedsecrets

This came out when bold florals were no longer in style, so I give it credit for being closely similar to 90's scents when we were moving into a new millennium when fresh and fruity floral perfumes took over. It's definitely a statement perfume and a signature for many women. Often confused for gardenia, I remember this and the original Marc Jacobs being popular and people getting the two confused. I keep a bottle for the nostalgia, but I do wear it ever so often. It's a very warm white floral. Nothing too complicated, but I enjoy it sometimes and I'm wearing it now.

Soofiya

When I first tried Michael my untrained nose found it almost similar to kim Kardashian and other tuberose, gardenia dominant fragrances such as "very hollywood"and "central park west".all I could smell was tuberose as if it's a soliflore.lately I received "Michael kors"as gift.it's opening part which once was a screechy tuberose explosion for me,now seems so gorgeous.yes, tuberose is the strongest note but now I can feel there's more going on here.I can also smell gardenia and something like a tad green and spicy lily.I can also get that banana thing which is mentioned in other reviews.on my skin it smells like tuberose plus banana-milk-ice cream shake but hubby believes that it smells like banana flavored chewing gum.it's strong and gorgeous.manages to be delicious, sexy and classy in it's own special way.some may find it's opening too piercing but I love it.and I know that most people prefer heady scents for winter but I only crave florals in spring, and not too hot summer days and nights.unlike some other tuberose dominant scents this one is not linear on me but I wish it was.I'm not very fond of it's drydown.
I can detect that banana vibe all through it's life but gradually it smell more like a real banana which starts ripening in time.as time passes the overall scent gets a bit warm and more rounded.what I thought was gardenia disappears and finally I'm left with tuberose-ripe banana-vetiver.actually it dries down in two different ways on me.I guess in cold weather,it stays more in it's first phase and doesn't change much in time.just a bit softer, more creamy and there's just slightest touch of vetiver and incense.what I smell most is a still pretty tuberose, unripe banana, sweet musk and a very light pinch of powder
But in hot days there's a lot of ripe banana and a lot of vetiver.I'm surprised to see vetiver is not among top rated notes.I can see some people may love this exotic, lush and mature scent but on me,tuberose feels a bit rotten,as if they had put it in water for a long time.I don't like it when it evolves like this on me so I can only wear it in cool, breezy springs and summers
All in all I'm very happy to have it.I really love it's first phase which lasts for hours and even it's drydown is sometimes nice.I give it a thumbs up for it's complexity, great longevity and sillage and it's amazing and delicious first hours but I believe my 1 oz bottle will be enough for me and I won't need a bigger one
I highly recommend you to try it on your skin and give it enough time to settle down
I haven't compared with KK in a side by side test but I will soon and then I will share my observations

mymlan

I love tuberose (quite an addict, I admit). I have had various tuberose fragrances and I can detect tuberose in most fragrances. It is like my heart rhythm moves a little faster when smell it. I have grown tuberose too on my balcony and smelled the green eucalyptus note followed by an utterly buttery and sweet voluptuous floral note. Anyway, that doesn't mean that I love all tuberose fragrances even though I love the note. Kim Kardashian and Michael Kors Michael are two "likes" for me. They are quite similar, Michael is IMHO the better one. I get a "dry wind" feeling from Michael because of the powdery orris, the dry and woody notes and smokey incense in the basenotes. The tuberose is piercing on the borderline to headache inducing, and in all it is very linear. I don't find the other floral notes contributing much to the composition. I wish they did and made it a bit sweeter and more widely flowery than it is. That said, this is a very well executed fragrance and my opinion is just a matter of individual taste.

olliejosh32

I had this a few years ago. I was always sniffing my wrist, and I really liked it but it was a definite tuberose scent, which can get boring after a while. I've never bought it again because although I like it, I like something where one single note isn't so dominant.

Soozatska

Ok, I've learned my lesson with blind buys, I swear...ha. I have a .5 oz bottle if anyone wants to swap. Send me a message!

Beadvised

I like it BUT this really smells so close to Ralph Laurens tender romance. It's even a similar color. I did a side by side wrist comparison. Very close while Ralph Laurens smells a tad bit sweeter and smoother. Out of the 2 tender romance still wins.

Krasnylips

It is a pure natural tuberose. Some sparkling real flower vibe you don't expect from such a minimalistic design bottle. To me it reminds a lot of Dyptique Do Son. Kors is the same quality. Same zen and relax.

chloeh

bjer-don - "Michael Kors" is the slightly reformulated version of "Michael".

It's the updated version of his signature scent, in other words.

"Michael" is no longer available, sadly.

However, they smell sufficiently similar that, if you liked "Michael", it is extremely likely that you will also like "Michael Kors".

As I mentioned before, I have a "Michael" scented candle, which I bought around the time it was first launched and I now also have a "Michael Kors" EDP, that I bought fairly recently and you can definitely tell they are supposed to be the same fragrance.

In fact, most people would probably struggle to notice the difference; especially if they were not smelling them side by side.

There is a slight difference; but, it is very slight.

Probably had to be reformulated to conform with regulations.

Looks like they probably dropped the tamarind and the iris; but, seeing as they were two of the least dominant notes, it's unlikely to be a dealbreaker for most people.

Still well worth buying, if the original suited your body chemistry.

I would probably now call it my second signature fragrance.

My one complaint would be that the sillage of the "Michael Kors" reformulation (no idea about that of the "Michael" original) is a little on the gentle side (boyfriend can only just smell it at arm's length).

But, other than that, really nice.

...and as for the delightful (and I'm sure, utterly fragrant!) Tania Sanchez, it would appear she could do with being a little less subjective, in her reviews, in general.

There are plenty of fragrances that others seem to love, but that (sadly) smell absolutely hideous, on me.

More that do than don't, in fact.

However, the difference is, that I would never deign to write a book on fragrances based purely on my own, subjective, opinions and/or on what did, or didn't, happen to agree with my personal body chemistry.

fyrewoman

@bjer-don Michael Kors edp is their signature scent which now comes in the vintage Michael flacon shown above.

Michael edp is discontinued, sadly.

I have owned both at the same time since when they were first released in 2000. There are differences in scent.

Alces Alces

Clearly a love it or hate it fragrance. Tania Sanchez really rips into this one in Perfumes: The A-Z guide, but I don’t always go along with the opinions in that book. In this case, I dissent. While tuberose dominates this scent, it’s not the only player. Michael operates on three axes: floral, green/fruity, and warm.
The floral axis centers on tuberose, but one can’t dismiss this as a soliflore. Freesia gives this a sheen and peony cools and sweetens it. The green/fruity axis includes tamarind (together with the tuberose suggests a banana note) and vetiver. Surprising more people have not commented on the vetiver in the dry down of this; it emerges after the first couple of hours and becomes almost as noticeable as the tuberose. The warm axis includes basenotes such as the musk and cashmeran, helping to balance what could be a screechy white floral.

Either Michael works on you and smells incredible or you are left with tuberose nostril burn. On me it lasts forever; literally, it’s in my laundry days after I have worn it. Not a safe blind buy. But a big love for me.

Michael shares the tuberose note with Kim Kardashian, but KK is cleaner and more gardenia floral. The peony, vetiver, and tamarind set Michael completely apart from KK. You could never confuse the two.

Alain Alchenberger appears as one of the noses for Michael. He now heads the perfume school at Givaudan. Laurent Le Guernec went on to compose other very popular scents such as SJP’s Lovely and many scents for Bond No. 9.

Overall, a modern white floral musk. Like most Michael Kors products, it's just a bit obviously ambitious. If it works on a person, however, it's radiant and divine. One of my favorites. Tuberose in general is second only to lily in my book.

bjer-don

Where is anyone getting their information that this has been discontinued? It is still available for purchase on the Michael Kors website. It is listed as their signature perfume.

UnearthlyApothecary

Since the first time I smelled Michael, I have really come to love tuberose. Now, I appreciate and love this scent like no other. This is one of my favorite tuberose scents. It's tropical banana tuberose but also woodsy, earthy, creamy, musky, slightly smoky. There is so much going on here, it's a complicated scent and it's all so wonderful. Can't see how this could be discontinued, when I saw a slightly damaged 3.3 oz bottle on eBay for $12 I did not hesitate to hit the buy button. There are many comparisons to this and Kim Kardashian (Check out my review) but in my humble opinion though KK is a great scent for the price point it comes nowhere close. Michael is all about the glorious tuberose, KK is more gardenia (which tends to turn soapy on me) so the difference for me stands out especially. The silage and longevity are amazing. This is one of the best white floral scents in my collection. actually, not just white floral but one of the best out of everything I own.

WildDove

Michael is a luscious tuberose white floral with some celery and banana going on. Great for summer.

chloeh

I have this in a square scented candle, with a silver coloured base.

Visually, it's very of its time - cool and minimalistic, but with a hint of glamour.

I never lit it, as I felt it was too beautiful to burn.

It kind of looks like a lump of fudge and still smells divine.

Rich, creamy and slightly smoky.

I found it again, in a drawer, today and as I love tuberose, it inspired me to try the EDP.

I have a feeling it may turn sour on me, but here's hoping...

Edit: So, I think what I have ordered is actually the updated version of this - "Michael Kors" by Michael Kors - rather than "Michael" by Michael Kors.

So, it's even more of a blind purchase.

Hope it's not too different.

nutmeg1984

This was another rushed purchase (ok, ok, I've learned my lesson!) which is almost the same as a blind buy IMO. For me, I need to wear a fragrance at least an hour before I know for sure if I like it. It starts off VERY nice, sweet tuberose (I think, lol, I'm not too familiar with the note). However, the final dry down has an almost metallic tinge to it? I can't figure out what note would do that in this perfume, I guess it's just my chemistry. Too bad, people seem to really love this one, at least I only spent the cabbage on the 1 oz.

savageinstrangeland

I wore this fragrance daily throughout my last pregnancy. For that reason, it has a special effect on me and a connection is made in my brain between this scent and strength, femininity, & new beginnings. It's a very pretty, creamy, white floral. I quit buying it myself because I find Kim Kardashians original perfume to be a dead ringer for this at half the price and easier to find since Michael was discontinued. I was kinda shocked by the few reviewers saying they don't see any similarities between the two at all because I wore Michael EVERYDAY for a year and even I struggle to tell the two apart. I suppose it goes to show how unique each persons chemistry and perception is. Anyway this is lovely. Without question the best of Michael Kors offerings that I've tried. It has really good lasting power and silage also with very few sprays.

Neckromancer

This is a sweeter, less green, more banana Tocca Florence. I like it, but my boyfriend absolutely despises it! He said it smells like dandruff medication? It's his least favorite scent on me. I don't think he likes white florals because he didn't seem happy with Alien either. Oh well, he has no real say ;)

bronni666

my sample arrived in the post today. pwew! this is so strong. i only dabbed a little and i have an untrained nose so to me all i can smell is gardenia and over the top it is. resisting the urge to wash it off but urge is winning over the resisting....

loversandxo

I feel that Michael Kors is a very love/hate fragrance, because it's not your typical floral or vanilla gourmand.

Anyways, this scent has a very 'teaspirational' aspect to it with the chinese osmanthus and smokiness on top. Along with those two notes, I get a heady tuberose, white floral mix that want to join the club. It's watery, creamy and spicy at the same time; which sounds really gross, but it works on my skin. Super musky and sensual. Depending on the climate, I feel that this is a good day to night fragy-frag; it embodies the Michael Kors' New York City chic girl around town, hustling 9-5 and then drinking dirty martinis...the scent would still be smelled in the night. I hate re-applying scents multiple times per day when I barely have the time to even smear lipstick across my face.

I remember smelling this in the department store when I was much younger, and fell in love. I also believe my sister owned this scent at one point in 2006 so, it kinda is one of those "take me back" scents.

I would say to try before you buy, but if you like V&R Flowerbomb...you might like this one as well.

P.S. - I don't think this is anything like Kim K's fragy...her's gives me a definite soapy floral-citrus headache.

dglightblue

Hi all

Wow, the opening is like getting a whiff of Jasmine or honeysuckle straight from the garden.

I'll keep you posted on the next notes

EDIT

ok, I don't know what turberose smells like... what does it smell like?
I'm not yet getting warm layers .... it's a cooler sort

Fresh and rounded Jasmine, this doesn't go bitter like MK glam Jasmine does on my skin.
This keeps its scent, pretty linea, very good lasting power; I'm now 9hours later and still clearly smell this when I put my nose in to my elbow.

I don't love this, but am very impressed by it.
Cool floral Jasmine, honeysuckle on the bush is sweeter, it may or may not have h.suckle.

Perfumedsecrets

People who aren't familiar with white florals or perfumes in general will often confuse tuberose with gardenia, and this drives me nuts. :) I first smelled tuberose in a tiny bottle of Sonia Kashuk perfume. It was a clean and stripped down note, but I knew it would be one of my favorite flowers forever. When Michael by MK came out it took me a long time to smell it and try it on my skin since at the time I lived in a city with few department stores and no Sephora. The first whiff I got of it was the leg shine, which Sarah Michelle Gellar raved about in some beauty magazine, but it was only a faint scent in a golden stick much like a deodorant. When I did find the perfume I instantly bought it, but I knew nothing about layering or my dry skin absorbing perfume until it disappeared, so I returned it. For years I heard about it being a signature scent of celebs and random women walking by, and I felt like I was missing out. Here I am in 2017 with a bottle of it, and I'm trying again. It really is beautiful and captivating.

@mapache +1 ;)

mapache

As a man who wears MANY women's fragrances, I have to say that this one will remain in my "guilty pleasures" category, and will be used in-home, especially for a bedtime scent. It is a really great scent. Much smoother than the Kim Kardashian one...for sure. The sillage is very good. It circles around you...creating whiffs of the florals...not cloying at all, the musk "tones" the sweetness down...Yea !!...a good thing IMO. The dry-down is very worth the wait, but some may find this a linear type scent...???....depending on your chemistry. I find this scent comforting in a way...Also, I live in Florida, and out in the heat this may sour up on me...or radiate the floral components too much. All in all, I recommend this to floral lovers/likers. BTW..it DOES project as well. I rate this a 8/10 scent.

ScarlettX

Quite good and interesting tuberose scent. It has even some kind of powdery and musky smell to it.
It's distinctive, you know it if have tried it.
There's a similarity between this one and the other ones from Michael Kors.
In my opinion, it's suitable for a hot summer day and for casual wear.

Germany

Amazing sexy über feminine tuberose scent. It has an earthy ,tropical elegant quality .This may come back in sales as tuberose is so big at the moment. It's so comforting and sexy to me. Creamy sweet tuberose at its best. Not many scents out there are like this. Almost exotic ,rich floral and maybe even animalic as the nature of tuberose has something animalic quality to it , carnal ,creamy or fleshy .
i also bought carnal flower a week ago and love it very much. Carnal flower being even more of a green realistic smell of fresh cut tuberose but then dries down to be buttery and creamy sweet as well much like this one , in a way .
What I love about this scent is that it falls into floral woody musk and is not just a plain white floral scent.

Slight reminiscence of jasmin rouge TF

Kira Kiralina

Sprayed on my arm and fell in love.
Paradise in a bottle. Couldn't stop sniffing it, basking in it like in a beautiful dream you don't want to end.
Only that it ended. An hour later. Felt like crying.

Tried again, as I bought a sample.
Same thing.
I thought I had a problem with my nose or I got used to it, but on my other wrist I had another perfume which smelled just fine and dandy.

Best tuberose I sampled. Yet to pricey to spray every hour and frustrating otherwise.

Still looking for a similar fragrance that lasts.

PinkRainbow

VERY floral. Light and pretty, with GREAT sillage. The tuberose is there, but subtle. Good choice for daytime.

Nicole79

Michael Kors and Amarige are twin sisters , very very very similar fragrances !!! I don't really love it .I just like it. .....it's a flowery tuberose ,creamy fragrance and that's it ! Nothing out of this world. But u can feel it's quality .I use it as a day fragrance. Also in summer night. I find it very addicting...I keep coming back to it. !I don't know why...but after I stop using it...I miss it and so I end buying another bottle!
Great sillage and staying power go easy with this one ! It is very strong ...which is a plus for me .

theredpony.1

Lovely tuberose scent but too much for the husband . Have a FB to swap.

zzzstargazer

This was my evening perfume in my 20s. It's like POW! Peonies in your face! It's bold, like you want to slam open the doors and walk with a swing.
It's strong. And people will know it's you.
Just because I wore it in my 20's, I don't think the age bracket stops there.
I'm going to get another bottle just to spice things up once in a blue moon.

Shwets

I'm not a tuberose fan - at all.
But this is just gorgeous!!
Lovely airy floral fragrance which smells like real flowers.
I've tested this in the heat and its amazing

MDL77

There's very little that needs to be said about this perfume. If luxury had a scent, it would be this. It is very rich yet smooth, long lasting and fantastic projection. This is a statement. It clearly says I might or might not be able to afford the better things in life, but I certainly belong in that lifestyle. Its for a self assured woman, you will get noticed by everyone. It takes whoever smells it to a rarefied secret world between the realm of magic and legends and the world of wealth, good taste and unspoken power.

Inhershoes

Oh man this gets lots of flack from people! It is my friend's signature scent, and yes, it is a robust, brash tuberose - but, just like her, it has got oodles of vim and personality. Not to be dismissed!

Kybosh99

Michael Kors has designed some nice fragrances, but this isn't one of them. I know it's top note is tuberose, but it comes across as sickeningly sweet gardenia. I'm glad I got a free sample bottle because I would never spend money to smell like my high-school drama teacher who used to spray down the classroom with Jungle Gardenia until you wanted to gag. Nothing subtle here; this one slaps you upside the head with its lingering, cloying scent.

UnearthlyApothecary

Very tropical/banana tuberose, this is one of the more wearable tuberose scents I've tried. It's still not my favorite note, but even so I can admit this is a great scent.

Cyanilla

Tuberose bomb, loud enough to help you make an entrance and get noticed around. Quite linear for aprox.4-6 hours, then turns musky and soft. Not very keen on the packaging, liquid leaks all over the place through the metal part, a little more attention to details was expected of this brand. Not going to repurchase.

AjaBlue

When I wear this I feel strong, confident, powerful, & sexy. Take it out and wear it once in a while, for that special occasion or when I need its "boost."

CeeLeeBee

Michael was recommended by some lovely Fragranticans, so when I went to the mall a few weeks ago to find a dress for my sister's graduation, I stopped at Nordstrom to sample it. It is indeed lovely! It's tuberose without being too loud/sexy/tropical, although it is a little of all of those things. I think the musk helps to ground it a bit so it melds perfectly with my skin and doesn't go over the top in any direction. And the musk doesn't smell animalic or like laundry, neither of which I like. The overall result is beautiful: white floral, creamy, warm, and comforting. Definitely appropriate for warmer weather, but I'm also looking forward to trying it out in the cooler months -- I can't see why it wouldn't work then, too. Sillage is decent, but I don't think it leaves a huge trail everywhere I go -- it's just enough to get compliments from people standing within close conversation range. Longevity is very good, especially on clothes.

When I wore it around the mall as I was shopping for a dress, I found myself gravitating towards classically feminine silhouettes. I bought a cream colored wrap dress that hits a little above the knee, and it felt like the perfect thing to wear with Michael - classic, a little sexy, easy to wear, and very pretty and feminine. I got a sample of Michael from the SA at Nordstrom on my way out, and I wore it with the dress to my sister's graduation. I got compliments on my perfume from my husband, my mom, my grandfather, my aunt, and both of my sisters -- all of whom, I should note, have very different scent preferences. Everyone loved Michael!

I've been on a scent search for a few months and have accumulated a decently sized stockpile of scents, but since I got my sample of Michael I've found myself gravitating to it the most. I will absolutely be getting a FB.

Perfumeaddict777

I wrote a review months ago and i felt compelled to write an update. This georgeous creamy perfume has become my signature. Im head over heels in love with it. If i wear it on a hot day it smells like juicy fruit gum (in the best way), it acts different in the heat. It has a banana nuance to it. I sampled Vittoria Apuana which is a coconut, banana scent and it's about 250 a bottle. And guess what! Smells almost identical to Michael, in fact if you want to add a more tropical vibe to Michael kors layer it with a coconut or vanilla perfume, lotion, oil or spray. Really this pefume is amazing, I've even used sun screen lotion and put Michael on top and it was genius! I never get tired of Michael kors, i still crave the smell, it's my most complimented perfume. I've tried alot of tuberose perfumes and nothing is better than this. Creamy, tropical, floral., deep, long lasting, great sillage. I just pray that it NEVER gets reformulated like every thing else does!

Tina_Salo

It is a very floral scent, silage is very good but nothing for me. Wore it one day to work and smelled it the whole day on me.

sweetbumblebee

STUNNING tuberose fragrance! I have always had a bottle of Michael in my wardrobe since it first came out. It is an old love of mine and was my signature perfume for many years. ELEGANT and distinctive composition. I will love it forever!!

Perfumeaddict777

I never used to like white florals but this past year i feel in love with them, especially tuberose! I love tuberose and have collected many perfumes with this flower. But nothing ive tried yet compares to micheal kors. I finally tested this perfume and now o can't quick dreaming about it, day dreaming, obsessing about getting this perfume. I put a few squirts on at the mall and could smell it until the next day. Longevity is amazing, sillage fills a room then stays at an arms length. Everyone around me thought it was creamy and gorgeous on my skin. It's a tuberose bomb. It's a creamy tuberose. I smell some green stems, osmenthus, fressia, and orris root. After it blends with my skin it becomes more creamy and a few hours later i can smell cashmere, incense, vetiver, and tuberose. It starts off big, bright, clean, and florals then turns creamy, woody, softer, cuddly while the tuberose remains. It's a classy perfume and any age 18 and up could wear this. I can't wait to get my hands on the biggest bottle i can find!!

alexyoung1993

This perfume is what I would classify as "classy." It is a floral scent and it smells wonderful. I first smelled this on my friend, and I immediately asked her what she was wearing. I wear this perfume for special occasions and when I want an extra boost of confidence only because of the cost; however, it is worth it. The smell doesn't fade quickly. In all actuality, the smell lasts a few hours. The only qualm I have about this perfume is the spray nozzle. For some reason, whenever I spray this perfume, perfume leaks out of the sides where the silver top meets the glass part of the bottle. I wish it did not do that because I have lost so much perfume over those leaks….

Overall, I would definitely recommend this perfume.

tabitha106

Fresh lovely and oh So Sexy!! This Michael Kors EDP smells divine on my skin--like a bouquet of fresh white lilies that turns deliciously sultry on the dry down. I recently attended a black-tie gala and wore this scent for the evening and have never received so many complements on a fragrance. Living in the South where spring blooms in late February, Michael Kors feels like a walk in the garden with the gentle Gulf breezes flowing through the trees. This is not a delicate floral spray, but rather a rich heady bouquet with a base of woody notes for nice balance on the dry down. And my guy Loves it, so extra points for this one! Michael Kors EDP, my new little white dress--silver sandals--patio dining--evening under the summer moon scent!

beedi84

I really didn't like this. Just like Tocca Florence, it's just a tuberose mess. I can barely smell anything else. Just tuberose and a little bit of wood and spice. I will be giving this one away.

Just year ago I have tried it first time in my life. And then I understood why it's not popular in my country. It smells like one of the cheapest air fresheners.

jessbaumdiggity

I'm not typically a fan of white florals. I'm more of a gourmand lover. However, this fragrance is so creamy and rich I fell in love the moment I tried it. The projection and silage are powerful, which elicits many, many compliments. What I love about this fragrance is that it's flexible. It's good for any season and any type of weather. It's very, very luxurious. It smells expensive. One thing holds true: This is a WOMAN'S fragrance. It takes an air of confidence to pull off, but the quality of it makes it easy.

Absolutely beautiful.

perrfumefreak

I can't get enough tuberose in my perfumes,so this one is my personal favorite. It's blended exceptionally well, very cream and just so rich! I literally cannot get enough of tho one.

chanelnumerocinq

I am a fiend for white florals and “Michael” is such a beauty. This tuberose is so sweet and buttery it almost smells like bananas. That may not sound appealing, but thanks to the other notes involved Michael is still a sexy luxurious fragrance. The incense and lily cut the sweetness by adding a dry and spicy dimension to the scent that exudes mystery. It is also quite musky. This is a loud perfume, but despite that it is very summery because it’s so lush and tropical.

If you’re the type of person who struggles to find summer scents because they are often both too light and too unsophisticated, I would specifically recommend this one.

CerisierDuJapon

A very heavy, nauseating perfume which also gave me headache every time I put it on...so had to give it away. It was the first time a perfume made me feel this sick (the only other time,it was Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf).

rosagarcia163

One commenter nailed it on the head. This perfume faintly reminds me of kim k's original perfume but Kim ks is way more sexually sexy. This perfume is like the other commenter said something a rich house wife who wears fancy clothes would buy. I deff get that vibe from it. It also does smell not that great nose to skin and smells way better in the air. Almost like it was designed that way on purpose. Use certain sticky oily notes to adhere to the skin while giving off a great scent.

LisaMari

I was sure this had jasmine in it :/ oh well anyway its v heavy on the warm white florals.. its very perfumey, quite mature and with a brisk sweetness. Its very clean but I do detect that fecal note that you can get in jasmine scents.. even though jasmine isn't listed.. perhaps its the combo of tuberose, lily and osmanthus that smells like that to me :/ I also notice a cold white leathery note. Several hours later, the drydown reveals a sparkling peony that is a lot like Zara Rose Gold

perrfumefreak

Again, like many others, I love this fragrance for its beautifully blended tuberose. Tuberose is my favorite scent when its blended right. In this perfume, its perfect. I initially bought a 1 oz bottle because I love Kim Kardashians signature scent, and the two were constantly being compared and judged as smelling very similar, and i do smell the similarities, but I also smell differences that make Michael Kors smell just a little better, a little richer, and a little smoother. I recently bought a 3 4 oz bottle and its already half gone. I have a heavy hand when it comes to perfumes, and I'm one of those people who spray perfume on myself when I go to bed. Because I enjoy the smell and love to smell it on M pillows and blanket. Michael Kors will now be a favorite for life.

hyperfluff

I love Kim Kardashian's fragrance, so I blind bought this duty free at the airport on a recent trip, expecting that they would be identical, or that this would be a better quality version of that one.

It was a mistake! They smell almost nothing alike!
So, okay, Michael Kors smells nice lingering in the air (more of a mature scent...think stylish, middle-aged suburban housewife...the lean, leggy kind who goes to pilate classes and wears designer clothes), it is a strong white floral with a tropical-aquatic vibe, I don't doubt reviewers who say they have gotten compliments on it. I gave the bottle I bought to my mom, and she does smell nice when she wears it...BUT! Nose to wrist and up close, it smells PURELY like chemicals and something else (nail polish remover is it?? Or maybe banana scented nail polish remover...banana acetone...yup).

No! No! No!
I am sticking to Kim Kardashian's scent, it's smoother, younger, more lush and it doesn't smell like polish remover. No annoying aquatic vibe in KK. It's cheaper too. This is just awful to my nose (atleast when smelled up close), a real disappointment as I had such high expectations.

f_celia89

I got this for a cheaper price so I decided to buy it, very rich in white tuberose.

If you're not a fan of white floral like jasmine's this perfume is not for you.. I personally think there's a spice missing that could make this work.. I like spicy scents and it's too floral for me.. Not my cup of tea.

Venusta

This wonderful perfume trained me on liking and appreciating tuberose. At 1st spray, I hated it. "My lord! Who wants to smell like this?", I foolishly thought. But bleh... I'm one stubborn lady..

At around the 6th spray, I started only using it for fancy occasions and actually started liking it because it's a compliment grabber.

Then at literally the 10th spray I loved this stuff. The tuberose smells smooth, the elegance is striking, the compliments I get are always along the lines of "Wow who smells so good?" (Let's face it, compliments are awesome). Did I mention it's long lasting as well?

This is a warm blanket of beautiful tuberose goodness.

snow_white

This is probably my favorite fall fragrance, and it always reminds me of halloween now. Just enough tuberose with just enough spice. I remember having a shimmer lotion of this when I was younger and loooving it, and kind of forgetting about it until recent years until I got a gift set for my birthday. So happy I own this now, it's a staple in my collection. I do tend to save it for days I feel like wearing something that demands more attention than the rest of my wardrobe, because this stuff can be a real head turner :)

Melodiarose82

OOH BABY!! What a lovely delicious surprise!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

jrhmakeupartistry

My very first Michael Kors fragrance and I still love it. I straight up love tuberose. With this fragrance, you get a little bit of everything; sweet, spicy, fresh and glam. There's something about Michael Kors' fragrances that just work with my chemistry and make me feel like I just sprayed happiness from a bottle. This, and a majority of his other fragrances are just feminine, sexy and sophisticated without trying to hard to be anything that they aren't. This one is a classic.

stacia79

Gardenia for grown ass women. In reality, this is a tuberose perfume but I like to refer to tuberose as the poor man's gardenia. It's a nearly identical smell but a much cheaper extract to produce. This reminds me of cashmere sweaters, cars with leather interiors, women who get alimony. It's plush and creamy and reeks of luxury. A drop will do ya.

Lybarra118

Let me preface by saying that I do not like tuberose...or at least, I usually don't. This seems to be one of only three perfumes that I actually love tuberose in as a main accord now. I know Michael has been around for a long time and my review won't matter much, but I'm giving it just the same.
I've owned the Michael Leg Shine for about 12 years, probably more, and every time I put it on my legs for a little shimmery tan, I always think to myself, "Man, I really need to find a scent that smells like this!" I even received compliments on the Leg Shine's scent alone - not that it matters, but compliments are always nice.

Well, it wasn't until this past week and a quick sample at Macy's that I realized what I've been smelling all these years in the Leg Shine was the signature Michael! How I hadn't put two and two together in 12 years, I have no idea, but in my defense, the Leg Shine was given to me as a gift. I'm an idiot, what can I say? The SA at Macy's gave me a nice size sample to take with me and I've been sniffing it ever since. Such a stunning, golden scent. Easy to wear all year. In summer it's enchanting, in winter it's elegant. Very long-lasting and projection is no joke. This is a true gem in what's typically (at least for me) the dreaded tuberose family.

Hellita

The more I wear this the more I fall in love with it. This is a truly beautiful tuberose scent that somehow seems to be light and fresh yet deep and creamy at the same time. I feel the need to smell my wrists all the time when I have it on. I think this is appropriate for both day and night, and I would just as easily wear it to work (with a light hand of course) as a night out. I can't wait to wear it during long summer nights. Longevity is excellent!
A lovely white floral that is grown-up and elegant without feeling too mature.
"Michael" gets a big thumbs up from me!

UPDATE: Michael is a huge compliment-getter! I don't think I've had this many compliments on any other fragrance I own. Yay!

zenbabylove

I do just great with this fragrance as long as I don't smell it directly or put it too close to my face.Although it's beautiful,it's also very very cloying.I apply the rollerball to my wrists and a bit behind my ears or neck and that's more than enough. It is a creamy sweet gardenia that is perfect for long summery days at the beach.I wouldn't recommend this for indoors,I think it's one for the outdoors and fresh open air.

RosieRachel

Ultra feminine perfume that makes me feel sexy, chic and glamorous. I love this one.

Michael is essentially a tuberose soliflore on me: a creamy, buttery, full and glorious tuberose. Sometimes it's a little fresh or spicy, but always luscious, sweet and intoxicating. The dry-down is something a little more soft, powdery and musky.

The fragrance really blooms on my skin during a warm evening or on a hot summer's day. Soft to moderate sillage; longevity is for about 6-7 hours.

UPDATE: Sadly, I've had to stop wearing this scent. I've learnt that the creamier types of tuberose always seem to give me headaches, which is a shame, as I do love them. A lighter or fresher tuberose (think Diptyque's Do Son) is much easier for me to wear.

CitrusHead

Horrible on My Skin :(

I can't believe how awful this fragrance is on my skin. I have NEVER met a tuberose I don't like but this one…..I don't know if it's the tuberose on its own or in combination but this just smells like spicy poop on me! Yuck! So glad I tested it & did not blind buy. From the notes here, I should have loved this & maybe I would on someone else. I tested it in a store today & had to put up with the poo following me around until I could get home & scrub, scrub, scrub. It certainly has lasting power because I am still getting whiffs of it.

I have NEVER had the poop thing happen to me. Maybe it's the tamarind with the flowers that just went wonky? Tamarind is the only note listed that I do not think I have in a perfume.

So disappointing...I was so looking forward to another tuberose for my collection.

AmoreProfumi

What can I say about M.Kors "Michael" prob. not a whole lot diff. from what's already been said, but I will say that not being a lover of overly floral fragrances, I LOVE THIS! idk what it is I'm guessing it's how I feel when I wear it, like a previous commenter said "It puts you in a happy place"&& when I have it on it makes me feel idk..."Breathtaking" b/c this is one of those scents I know ppl can smell (monster sillage & above par longevity) && idk it kinda gives you the B**** I'm here attitude! because the quality is there you feel like you smell like $$$, YASSS! this is a I've got $$$ scent lol! Like seriously even though I'm a guy, a gay one though..lol I feel like some uppity House wife of Beverly Hills B**** that should be carrying a huge high end hand bag with puppies in it! ctfu! But yes that is the level MK puts you on exudes POWER & CLASS! && for that I love it! :D

Update: I find I like this better in colder weather, I still like it now but strangely not as much as I did in the winter...hmmm go figure.

Love the fragrance but hate the bottle. Very poor design...I don't buy it anymore for that reason. If I wanted to bathe in it I would pour it into the bathtub.

NightShade6

I love tuberose but this one gets an okay from me. This was a blind buy, assumed I would instantly love it since it was a tuberose perfume however, this perfume has a very oily smell to it. It's still a very beautiful and clean scent, just wasn't what I hoped for.

Okay 4 days in and this scent is perfection. I mistaken the oily smell for how incredibly rich the tuberose is! This has got to be the most perfectly blended tuberose perfume ever! Uber sensual and voluptuous.
I would go as far to say this is the modern day fracas.

nettoyant

This is a musky, sweet and slightly powdery tuberose. Makes it sound simple but it is complex. Oddly, I get no freesia or peony, in fact, those two notes often put me off and I adore this. To me, there's more iris and incense. This is the prettiest scent I own, it's very attractive and classy, nothing out of place, nothing weird just simply pretty. Each phase is gorgeous and while it's not strong you sense it subtly all day, it doesn't just disappear. I love the blend, I don't think it could be improved, it's perfect..

Scents8ionalwoman

I am so confused about Michael vs Michael Kors, Are these fragrances two distinctly different fragrances or are they one and the same? if they are not the same fragrance, then what makes them different from one another? Many years ago I purchase Michael by Michael Kors. I recently went online and purchased what I thought was the same fragrance that I had bought years before. This bottle looked the same however, this bottle has the designer's full name, Michael Kors on it. From what I think I remember of the scent, I think they smell the same. If they are different, then can someone tell me where i can purchase Michael so I can compare the two? I would appreciate any experts' responses, opinions, advice. Thanks

Rinio

so sexy and special. Can´t wait to own it again. Very attractive to me.

I love this fragrance. Having said that I have a small fortune in perfumes chasing that perfect tuberose/ gardenia scent. This is really lovely, soft and much more subtle than some. I keep it along side my Fracas, Ellie Saab, Now & Forever, and Chanel Gardenia, Chanel #5-there are about a dozen more. I have so many gorgeous white florals that I have recently been focusing on buying & using my winter scents, with a more earthy, patchouli base. My newest love is Belle d'Opium, and Midnight Poison. This is lovely though, makes me think of my garden when I lived in Hawaii. Not a bad memory..

PerfumeEmpress

One of my absolute favorites. I've been wearing it since it came out (among others, of course). This is one of the frags that gets me the most compliments. Two of my friends bought a bottle after they smelled it on me. The only floral scents I like are white flower scents. This is heady and creamy. Just as I like it. I hope it is never discontinued, or worse (panic ensues) reformulated.
