This perfume has two characters. Opening with basil and green tea is sharp and green. Drydown with blackcurrant, musk, and lavender is beautiful and gentle.

First impressions are it’s Very herbal and green scent, the basil in very dominant in the opening so if you like basil in fragrance check it out , i didn’t get much mint to be honest .it leans on the feminine side and didn’t suit my style so i gifted it to my mother who liked it .

Great stuff, good quality for the price. Green herbal tea with bright juicy citruses and a very prominent basil note. Very realistic citrus. The tea is present in the opening but becomes more prominent as it drys down. The citrus doesn't completely fade and is noticeable into the dry down.

Update: After multiple wearings I have to report back that things have slightly changed. The citrus aren't bright as I remembered when I first wore this. It's more green and herbal with emphasis on the basil. But unfortunately the Calone is more noticeable. It's not that bad like in Molinards Mediterranee. I hate Mediterranee. I unfortunately have to downgrade this from a love to a like. It's nice, it smells fine in the air but upclose on skin into the far dry down I get the calone. Thankfully it doesn't ruin the fragrance for me. I don't understand why calone is even here. It's mostly used in aquatics. Doesn't make sense to use it in a green herbal scent. Sample this, dont blind buy, calone is big hit or miss for some people. It like this scent but it's not as good I remembered when I got this a few months ago. It's good, I still like it, not great and don't love it.

A beautiful perfume very reminiscent of Torino 21 but without the bracing minty and citrus opening, heavier on the basil and black currant, and with a whisper of verbena in the dry down. Very high quality, herbaceous, naturalistic, and a permanent in my collection.

I tried Thé Basilic in one of the sample sachets from Molinard, rubbing the scent on my wrist, neck and clothes. I think it was very true to its name, a very green and fresh fragrance.
It is unisex but I definitely feel like a man could pull this off waaay better, because of the bitterness of the tea, green leafs and lemony notes. It is not overpowering but it is definitely there and you can feel it after hours have passed, with better and longer stay than other layering green fragrances I've tried (for example Jo Malone).
I would be very very curious to smell this on a man, maybe also paired with a vetiver fragrance?? It would make it stand out more and become even more masculine. For me it's very good, definitely worth the money.

Unexpectedly good, I actually adore it. It smells herbal, natural, zesty, refreshing. A perfect summer scent. I never owned a Molinard, but this is so charming, a tea scent mixed with basil and other herbs, cool and addictive. Somehow it manages to stay away from any Elizabeth Arden Green Tea influence - not that I don't like that one, because I actually do like some of its flankers, but it's a very common scent. This Molinard is quite unique, the lavender is there too, and it just smells like a botanical garden. Simply beautiful, with decent silage and ok lasting power.

Got a sample on a soaked napkin and bought a 75 ml bottle. First time owning a tea perfume. So delightful! Good longevity. 6 hours later I can still smell it faintly on my hand, and it has a powdery residue. Satisfied with my purchase of a FB

I'm a sucker for anything green, citrus, and tea-like so I had to buy this one. Imagine Herba Fresca, but mint is waaaay toned down, and basil is waaaay toned up. Gorgeous refreshing summer scent and the basilic accord is very prominent. As real as eating basil leaves in one of those fancy Caprese salads. Longevity is amazing, considering it is a citrus scent, and they usually say goodbye shortly after they've been sprayed. Smells 93% like Method green tea + aloe foamy handwash, but with basil, if this helps anyone.
It may seem simple, but it is not. It does transform throughout the wear and has a green punch to it. For the asking price - it is a bargain.

So good. Basil, mint and sweet citrus, perfect for hot summer days and night, for going out and being at the office. Disappears in 30 minutes and it makes me sad

Not a safe blind buy ( I learned my lesson ).
I love the basil note in perfumes but unfortunately with this one all I get is mint and citrus.
My all time favourite summertime basil is Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic..I have two back up bottles. I think I’ll stick with those and stop blind buying : )

I'm a little disappointed. It's not citrus fresh, it's not even herbal fresh. There is some slight sweetness which bothers me. It could be from the tea, musk and calone, not sure, but it does not work for me in the hot days. It's nice but not refreshing. I would use it in the spring.

EDIT: After some time of wearing I would like to add that it starts basil slightly minty citrusy fresh and the sweetness is not so distinctive but it's there. After an hour the green tea and verbena pop up and after a few more hours the basil is still there in combination of musk and calone (what brings the sweetness). Perfect for spring days and summer nights.

On first spray this reminds me a lot of Herba Fresca from the Aqua Allegoria range, which is promising because I love HF but the longevity is hot garbage, and this is an EdP. As it wears it gets a bit more mellow, dried herbs and citrus peel, and less Herba Fresca bright and sparkling, which makes sense because it’s hard to retain ‘bright and sparkling’ beyond a top note. Love the opening, not sure that I’d full size for the development. I think on balance I still prefer HF and will just have to accept that it’s for enjoying for an hour and then waving a sad goodbye to.

SmellMyCheese

I would describe it as crushing a basil leaf, smelling it (top note) and then dropping it in a cool lemon tea.

Extremely refreshing for spring/summer and superb value.
