I wore it all winter/spring long, and then, out of the blue no longer liked it.
I did get quite a bit of compliments, most of them from men, actually.
In the end, I'm attracted to this sent for its solar ylangylang notes, but find it to be too sweet in a synthetic sort of way.
I tried it again recently, and quickly wanted something something lighter, more natural. I guess it's fitting that I got sick of it right when summer came around. When the sun's shining that bright, synthetic flowers just don't cut it anymore.

I have a 10ml bottle for $20+ shipping, in case of interest please DM me

I was gifted this by an older relative. She presented it as "fresh like you". Mind you, I m in my fifties and although I do look very fresh - she got that part right- her comment was nevertheless a red flag. So, fresh is very subjective apparently because this is an old school (but not vintage) frangipani bomb and not much else. First sniff...nah. Unremarkable, cloying and unrefined floral, more like a kindergarten project than a professional creation. I picked it up again a few hours later and although I still find it unremarkable, I went from "nah" to "ah well". The opening is really strong and headache inducing but thankfully it fades to still frangipani dominant, creamy and flat scent which is indeed more pleasant. Like others have mentioned, although I love Narciso with it's very distinctive musk profile this one is a bit of a downer.

denisa_iv

I sprayed this in a perfume shop on my arm and regretted it all day. It projects a lot and is quit long lasting, that's for sure. I don't think it's a terrible scent but I expected something completely different from an Amber scent with this note in its name. It's also supposed to have Cashmeran and Vanilla. I pictured something completely different.
It's a strong floral scent. I would not call this creamy at all. I would also not describe it as tropical although I now went and smelled again the blouse I was wearing yesterday and I can see why it would be similar to scents that are meant to be tropical but this is not some creamy scent, it's in your face floral.
I was meaning to try Hibiscus Palm, not that I see the comparison I wonder if there's any point to that.

Blossomlove

I'm such a sucker for Frangipani so if it has a plumeria or tiare flower note in it, I'm probably going to like it and this is no exception. This is the summer, tropical version of a NR musk. It's a simple fragrance and doesn't have the sunscreen or coconut note that so many frangipani fragrances have, which I appreciate. This makes it more wearable for year round wear and I'm happy to have it in my collection. I haven't found a NR fragrance that I don't like yet. My least favorites are actually NR original, both the EDT and the EDP. This doesn't seem to have any of that DNA, which several others in the line do, making it even more likable in my book. I prefer this to Hibiscus Palm but not more than my beloved Bora Bora, that one does have the sunscreen smell to it and an indolic quality to it, which I love since it makes it smell so real. The longevity of this scent isn't that great and it fades to a skin scent within a couple hours. It's frangipani, a little ylang ylang giving it an oriental feel, and vanilla and musk. I detect a little woodiness in the dry down but the cedar is super subtle and feels more like sandalwood than cedar.

Parnian.kh

This combination of ylang ylang and white florals strikes a chord with me since it takes me on a trip down memory lane. I've smelled this in women's perfumes of the eighties. I am not suggesting that it's dated or anything. I'm just talking about the impactful nostalgia it evokes. And I should add, in no way am I satisfied with its performance, it adds up to nothing coz it vanishes in thin air like in two hours tops. However, I bought a full bottle and I'm not regretting it

@custardbunny

Your review is one of the few HIT ON THE NAIL TOP notch bulls eye comments ever made for a perfume.

CustardBunny

Im nnot sure how i feel about this perfume. I love the bottle god do i love it.. But the scent is so un-unique? Flowery and almost a bit too much like if u walk into someones garden and theyve planted every flower there imaginable so it just feels overbearing to ur nose. a small spray of this will work fine, but having this as ur alltime scent is just not workable.

Noha8

It is a very frequent scent. No uniqueness at all.

Encici

This is just so yummy tropical floral scent with those delectable yellow flowers at the top. It aaaaalways gets compliments. I feel like the most gorgeous earth goddess when wearing it. So good every day scent, perfect for the spring and summer. Simple and very sexy. Feels like home to me somehow although I don't live anywhere near to a tropical place, but ylang is my best friend lately. I sometimes layer it with some powdery scent to give it more depth. It took me a few months, but it is a love now. I think it macerated and smells a little bit less synthetic now as well. It is not a fresh type of smell, rather sweet, but still gives me this fresh clean out of the shower feel.

XristinaC

I've owned this for a while now, but only this week have the temperatures soared enough to really wear it with the yellow florals and fruit I associate with summer. I'd bring this with me on a tropical island trip, it feels like the Pacific Islands.

morphoevgenia

For me personally, it is almost identical to poudree. Beginning has this buttery frangipani or whatever, but in the silage it is just Narciso Poudree. Really really nice, but redundant to have both.

fangpili

I'm not the biggest fan of yellow flowers in perfumery and particularly struggle with Ylang Ylang. Herein lies the biggest problem with Ambree - it is a thick, heavy-handed, slightly nauseating creamy ylang-ylang, frangipani and amber mix which makes it feel a little dated. I adore Narciso Poudree, and while it has a vague nod towards it in the fleeting base notes, Ambree leans towards cloying. It is a tropical, heavy warm weather perfume but not one I will be wearing again. Surprisingly, it also fades quite quickly from my skin and I get around 2 hours from this.

Nicholas Seian

this perfume is dominated by the fragrances of frangipani flowers and amber only. White floral and musk, in my opinion, do not work well with this perfume according to my nose.. boring fragrance,... 7/10

Zethre

Very floral, no noticeable amber

yoshiko1031

I'll cut to the chase, Ambree is too disappointing to merit a long review. Neither memorable or unique, extremely generic, pales in comparison to white and red cubes (both exquisite), not even detectable after 3-4 hours. First Narciso fragrance fail, will not repurchase. Should have tried a sample, now stuck with a 1 oz that will never be used.

anamarmo

Beautiful and interesting scent. Very elegant, feminine and playful at the same time. One of my favourites and most complimented. Lasts good amount on my skin.

Deliza1997

It smells like a very expensive lotion in a very good way. Soft, warm, floral not too much powdery like Poudree. Poudree is more mature while Ambree is youthful. Love it.
Suitable for romantic date.

Silverbell

Ambrée will always have a special place in my heart. One of the first scents I fell in love with when I started having perfumes for real. This was the one that welcomed me into the Narciso world. Me and my sister got a sample of Ambrée in a beauty catalogue and we couldn't stop smelling it for weeks. The musk and cashmere give it that out-of-the-shower/skin smell and the amber adds warmth. It smells like your skin warmed up by the sun. Such a simple inoffensive scent that smells like you but better. Like others said, the performance isn't good. I can smell it for 4 hours then it's gone, like every other Narciso perfume.

missingbonnet

Smells like coconut scented hairspray with a bunch of white flowers to me.
This was on the buzz in a bunch of online shops, sadly it's not what I'm looking for.

Elisemies

This is one of my favorite scents.
I got it from my boyfriend as we were sniffing around in a parfumerie as we often do and it was an immediate love for both of us. He got it for me for our trip to Sicily and it couldn’t have been more perfect for a sunny, gorgeous and flowery summer vacation. Then again, it does great in winter too, as it becomes like a delicious cashmere blanket to cuddle up to.
It’s one of those fragrances you could bathe in. Never causes any cloying sensation or nausea, it’s fresh and sweet and creamy at the same time and I always get compliments from men on it.
The only drawback really is it’s performance: after a few hours it’s gone, it doesn’t even matter how much of it I spray on. However I really hope they never discontinue it as I absolutely adore it. If anyone knows of a similar scent with better performance please do let me know.

Dawnya7b

This smells like expensive shampoo wafting in the air every time you flip your hair to left or right. I sprayed it into my hair serum and I drenched myself in this because I wanted to smell like I just walked out of the salon. It’s so good and creamy and airy at the same time.

Clean creamy and intoxicating because it’s smooth.
I have a little bit of Donna edp by Trussardi and this doesn’t smell anything like that but it is also a shampooy clean smelling perfume that I often use to get the same feeling but I will not be repurchasing that one when I finally runs out because I like this offering way better!

amanda0727

Noper! Cheap smelling synthetic musk and amber. Screechy to the max!

Claugregg

I'm not into tropical perfumes, but this one has my heart. I bought this a few years ago and this is one of those rare perfumes that still haunts my mind. It's the amber, the fruitiness (kinda like a peach?) and the warmth of it. It's so good, I finished it in less than a month because I loved it so much. I don't remember much about the sillage or the tenacity, but I would say it is pretty average.

aulialovegreen

Tried a sample some days ago and feels this is familiar: the discontinue Sun Di Gioia. Ambree is sweeter and muskier (duh) but if you miss Sun Di Gioia you definitely can check Ambree out. They're both not really last but has a good projection in heat.

Ms._45

Just blind bought a 3 oz bottle on eBay. First Narciso. I’m looking for an elegant, chic, creamy, powdery, musk, shampoo, sexy, salon, lightly sweet signature for daytime this fall. I want to smell like I came from the salon on vacation & stepped up to a luxury makeup counter. & I love Frangipani & tropical yellow florals lately …

My initial feeling anyway was that it’s very mature, more so than was expecting. I’m 35. I think it’s the powdery musk which reminds me for some reason of my grandma who died when I was a child. I think something, perhaps the musk is giving it a bit of a “smoky” undertone with my chemistry. She was a smoker. She had class & style & loved perfume though. Anyway, it’s taking some getting used to. & I like smoky, incense notes, but what’s different about this musk is, it’s more animalic rather than fresh … Her perfumes were very animalic, musky … & this is quite “perfume-y” also, but I suppose not in a bad way. I love how it’s got a creamy lotion, sunscreen, moisturizer feel to it. I find that to be high end like Chanel, approx same maturity as Chanel Eau Premiere which I also wear & like. This isn’t soapy or fresh however, creamy & powdery.

I’m wearing it now after a shower. I’m liking it more. I’m thinking of making it my signature, wearing it daily for a while. I think my nose is going blind to it, but it’s got moderate to strong sillage. It’s stronger than Prada La Femme but more floral. I’m liking this more than that one which is more conservative & business-like. This makes me feel more pretty & glamourous overall, I think. I like that I can smell light wafts of it right now holding my phone. I think it’s pretty sexy. I also like SL La Dompteuse Encagée, which is very strong floral with more Jasmine & Frangipani but not so suitable for me during the every day. So this more in line with what I was wanting.

That’s all for now. Will update if anything new while wearing for a while …

sotnos

Liked it a lot in the store, then bought it and tried it and wasn't sure anymore. The first couple of minutes it smells almost strong, sharp and intense, but then after it sits it starts smelling comfortable, pleasant and like a fireplace. I would say this is a good choice for winter and autumn, and not a safe blind buy. I like it now, but it's not my favorite, as there is a hint of something that I don't like too much at first. It smells incredible after a while tho, so I don't regret buying it. I guess it will take some time to get used to it.

Greg & Claire

For those who love this scent, Lattafa’s Shahd is a wonderful clone! Maybe even better! It is a beast in terms of performance and very inexpensive.

aleckzandurh

Frangipani takes center stage. I'm not sure if they're considered a white or yellow floral, but I really enjoy the velvety smoothness of their scent. It's never quite as heady or brash as tuberose, lily, or sometimes jasmine. A little smoother, a little softer, a little more powdery — which is probably why it works so well in Narciso's powdery, musky vision.

Other reviewers mention it as a tropical scent, but it doesn't read that way to me since there's no fruity notes. It's just very clean and feminine and sunny.

ReenaVic

I love floras. I no longer can stand sweet, fruity perfumes on myself. With that said, I was quite bored with the first wear. My mother in law came over and she had also picked this perfume up and was wearing it. It was intoxicating. How weird sometimes we have to smell it on others to truly appreciate it. This is a creamy floral. Frangipani runs the show. I love when a woman passes by and she smells mature and clean. This is one of those vibes. Not quite tropical I would say, but when you go outside for a walk and smell flowers, the ones you can’t quite identify. I fell in love.

FreyjaEudaimonia

I love this perfume. But, for me the first notes disappear extremely quickly. I do enjoy the drydown though - smells so comforting on my skin. Although nobody else can smell it at that point. I'd love if the longevity and sillage were better. This way, I use the whole bottle in two weeks, and it is on the pricier side.

herculano

Update:

Actually I am giving this a full wearing today after my shower, and it’s really nice!

I am finding it pretty adequate in both its longevity and how it projects. It projects on par with the other cubes… a soft but present projection for a good 6-8 hours. Slightly lighter than the other cubes but not dramatically.

Previous review below:

———————————————-

This is beautiful on one hand…. and sorta boring on another hand.

I do actually like the fragrance. I find it refreshing, and quite clean. Relaxing.
I am not blown away by it, though.

I found it to be longer lasting and more projecting than many here claim it is, but… it’s not a beast by any means. (Long lasting super projecting beast mode fragrances are my favorites, and I won’t settle for anything less, usually. But I differ from many others in that I find Narciso fragrances very acceptable on these points (for this particular style). I must be very attuned to musk or something, because I find every Narciso I have tried stronger (and longer lasting) than most of the reviewers describe. Ambree is no exception. It’s a little lighter than the others, yes, but still better than plenty of other perfumes I’ve tried.)

In most respects this is a typical tropical flower perfume along the same lines as CSP Aloha Tiare, although that one is stronger and far sweeter than this. They aren’t dupes, but they are very much the same TYPE.
I prefer CSP, although I can easily layer these two and the effect is a seamless blending of tropical flowers and musk.

I do not pick up really any Amber in this, and I wish I did.

This was blind purchased as I became enamored with other cubes and the idea of a summer cube was irresistible to me.

I am slightly regretting it.

If it were more powerful I wouldn’t regret my purchase, but even then, I still wouldn’t be particularly blown away by it.

lady_ireth264

Excited to try this, because Narciso Rodriguez is one of my fave perfume houses.
I always love their lactonic musk, sensual yet elegant.
It's the same thing here with Narciso Ambree.
This is something to wear in the heat, the tropical flowers and musk dance together side by side in perfect control.
It smells exotic and cuddly at the same time.
My Chanel minded sister complimented it, so I can assure you it smells elegant.
But there's no significant amber that I can smell of, and yes it is only moderate longevity.
However, all in all a unique combination worthy of Narciso house.

Moonshine_Strawberries

I was excited to sample this based on the notes but surprisingly found it extremely generic smelling. I’m glad the general community doesn’t appear to share my opinion of it, because I did really want to love it. Sometimes I can love something that smells like the best variation of a generic scent but that was not the case here. To be fair, I’m not a fan of powdery scents so that may have swayed my perception. For a tropical floral scent without coconut, I prefer AG Songes.

I’d be happy to pass along my sample for just the cost of shipping or work out a deal on a batch of different samples.

Dhits77

This is a pleasant blend of tropical flower notes that evokes memories of my Bali home with musk and amber and nicely anchored with warmth from cedar and woody notes. The scent kicks off with a grand opening that is nostalgic of growing up on the tropical island. It’s not exactly light and fresh even though it is often said to be a summer fragrance. It leans more on the warmer side and so it is a versatile fragrance that is elegant and classy that can be worn all year round when you live in the tropics. However, the scent doesn’t turn heads and does not last long on me. I give it 4 hours tops and it goes away and reduced to a hint of powdery musk. For a Narcisco fragrance it is therefore underwhelming.

Suncica7

I do not know what is it- but it smells like endless childhood summers, not in a childish way, but embodies the late 90, early 2000s era of music and style. I was a pre puberty little girl back then but with a very strong sense for the beauty, style, femininity and I just could not wait to grow up and be girly ! This smells like those times, when your big cousin sister visits you from her big capital city, and she has all the fancy dresses and sandals, and you just can't take your eyes off all of it, and she puts a perfume and goes out in the night. And she is young but big enough to go and have fun. And you wonder, once day , when you grow up, will you be as beautiful as her, and smell good like her, and have boys chasing you with flowers as they chase her...
Memories :D

p.s. someone here wrote it is classy- HELLO, every Narciso perfume SCREAMS STYLE, CLASS AND MONEY.
You gotta love yourself a good Narciso.
It is wonderful, but comparing to the white and rose cube, it does not last enough, or at all for that matter. That is sad.
But if you can afford to buy it and wash in it without regretting all the money, then it is worth it. Because the opening MY GOD. Tropical, nostalgic, summer, youthful, joyful, fun!!!

mirw

Love the scent, the drydown reminds me of nuda Veritas by Atelier Des Ors.
Unfortunately it’s to overpowering for me! Tried to wash it if but it still lingers.
Long lasting for sure !

TheNyx2003

This one scream classiness to me , it's not sweet at all , a bitter mix of powder , wood and amber and creaminess , it's so unique in my opinion i've never smelled something like this before ! , but it's elegant , everytime i wanna smell rich i'm gonna wear this

I don't know why no one mentioned that this one smells sophisticated

Gizemm9

I really love this perfume, but it doesn't last long. Any recommendations for a similar but a longer lasting one?

CAF911

I’m a guy but I smelled this at a shop today and it kinda blew me away. The scent strip on my counter is still filling up my kitchen.

If you like musky designers it might be perfect for you.
I would LOVE to smell this on a woman.

honeyoceans

I recently bought up a handful of samples in an attempt to find something I could wear year round in a tropical climate. A good half of the scents I tried had some variation of tiare, Jasmine, and my favorite, frangipani. This has to be one of my favorites. The frangipani isn’t overwhelming, but I can still detect its very slight sweetness underneath the musk. I can easily see myself wearing this everyday. Slightly sweet and powdery, but still tropical. It doesn’t project much, but it lasts on my skin for at least 4 hours.

SpaceTrex

Been waiting so long to try Ambree. NR cube but make it tropical? Yes, please! Well, I was quite underwhelmed. It's pleasant, kind of tropical in the opening, but then it falls flat. I feel like the uniqueness of the original, or even Poudree or Rouge, is toned down way too much here. It's not powdery/woody enough to be on the same level of coziness and fluffiness as the other cubes, but also not suntanny enough to be an ultimate vacation scent. It's shy and a little boring. Like a weaker watered down version of Poudree. Inoffensive but not full bottle worthy if you have the other cubes imo. Also, projection is non-existent

vrinsun

I love this perfume so much! Definitely my favorite out of all Narciso Rodriguez perfumes.
The opening is to die for! It’s sweet, fresh and creamy. It smells like fresh, sweet flowers,
I definitely get the frangipani, a scent I know very well living in a tropical country.
Unfortunately it does last less than the other cubes, I got around 3 hours of good projection,
And then it settles to a skin scent.
In the drydown I get benzoin/tonka bean even though it’s not listed🤔
The drydown is pretty similar to Poudree’s drydown.
In conclusion, it is a gorgeous scent worth checking out if you are looking for a slightly softer version of narciso rodriguez, or if you simply love sweet and creamy floral scent.
I see myself using it all year round, and it’s definitely signature scent worthy!

alternateu

Not sure why the longevity and sillage is SO poor on this one.
Essentially, sweet, creamy, tropical perfume. Nothing very special, but quite pleasant. There's unfortunately not much musk - what hits me first is the yellow/tropical flowers with a shot of vanilla. This later mellows out and dries down to a slightly powdery, sweet tropical flower. Nothing very exciting either, unfortunately.
Was hoping for much more musk, a la NR For Her EDT, but unfortunately, no.
Overall I've been finding that the cubes are too sweet for me.

churinl

So far, so good. I am a huge fan of the cube line, far more than the For Her line even though there are a few from there that I love too.
I put this on immediately after receiving it, and it's difficult for me to identify the specific notes. It was a blind buy as are most of my purchases. I am going to let it sit for a while just to see if it certain notes become more pronounced, though I have to say, right now it smells very well blended and sometimes I enjoy a perfume more when the notes form something in toto rather than having one or two of them stealing the show.
Right off the bat, I can say this is a love. The white cube is my favorite, but this one is in second place to my surprise. I recently purchased Rouge, which I was certain I would love, but it is a little harsh on my skin and is in fourth place, behind Poudree. There is something very sensuous about this, but like others have mentioned, the longevity is very disappointing. I am going to need to purchase the largest size once I begin to run low, because this one will require frequent reapplication.
That's all I can say for now. If things change once it's had time to settle down, I will update.

SophiaViolette

Floral, warm and neat opening of white and sweet yellow florals, easy to recognize the frangipani here, and some ylang-ylang, not as loud, but well balanced.
At first I found them too sweet for my taste, but within 3 minutes they became way softer, almost disappearing, leaving the white florals becoming musky and ambery very quickly.

At dry-down definitely getting a cashmeran vanilla, and the cedar that brings some woody freshness.

I finished my bottle of Tom Ford ‘Tubereuse Nue’, the two are quite similar, I might consider a switch with this :) Same quality to me, better price too.

Tried at store.

On my skin - I really like the tropical smell. Smooth, creamy, tropical.

Love it.

Missmel

I had to come on here and say that I recently purchased this fragrance. I put on a couple sprays today before heading out to spend the day with my fiancé. It has been compliments non stop from him! At one point he came up behind me and wouldn’t stop sniffing my neck. I think it’s a beautiful floral fragrance. Apparently it’s kryptonite for some 💖

AmandaBucik

I hate how this smells on my skin. On me it smells exactly like so scandal.

Its too flowery in a really bad way it makes me sick

Bloomsbury Barton

The tropical essence in this is just lost on me sadly. I get mid and base notes much more strongly and immediately, which is a shame as I love frangipani.
In loose terms…it’s a summer musk.
Longevity is barely past two hours and Ambree is just not reaching those tropical notes as much as I would hope for.

simona9898

I’m soo sooo sad that the longevity of this one is bad since I enjoy it so much.I got a tester perfume and maybe that is the problem ,not sure but very much enjoy the smell.

tr_is

Smells like sweet coconut and mango smoothie, slightly cloying in warmer summer. Might work well in colder weather

victoria.mei1992

It smells pleasant at one point but stinks when on the fabric.

rosewoodoud555

I hate Narciso frags — but hear me out, this one is just a dream. It's very tropical, yellow floral heavy, creamy, and very sweet. It's exactly what I want from my holiday/getaway frag. It's not your typical (kinda boring/animalic) Narciso frag, it's a lot more special, and has a warmer feeling to it. Definitely a beach scent and perfect for any sort of water activities. My fave frag right now — I bought it during the cold, snowy winter and when I smelled it I got transported straight to a beachside resort...

edit: if you want a dupe to this, try lattafa's shahd. the arab version is more oud, but the ylang ylang and creaminess shines. very similar scents, but lattafa is much cheaper

MomBomb

Smells like summer. I love it. Layering with Dolce Garden. So good.

fanisabeillas

freaking love this. received so many compliment with this perfume

tamlou

I do not have good luck when it comes to Narciso Rodriguez fragrances...they just don't agree with me, but I continue to try them.
For me, this had a nice opening which gave me hope....but when it dried down, it smelled like stale urine. I thought it was just me but others could smell it on me as well.

Nasshey

I've just received my bottle yesterday and I can't get enough of it, I'm obsessed. Such a warm, soft scent, slightly powdery - very gentle yet noticeble, perfect for the day. Most of the people mention that it's best for summer but I really like it now in winter (although it is not very cold now). Looking forward to wear it in the spring and it is very likely to become my signature fragrance.

Jaimedjohnston

This is everything I thought it would be. It is everything I wanted in a tropical summer fragrance. It's absolutely stunning. It's floral (frangipani and ylang ylang) , musky, coconutty, and a hint of sweetness. It's incredibly smooth and ever so elegant! It reminds me of Hibiscus Palm by Aerin but classier, more elegant and creamier. This is up there as my favourite summer fragrance. Pure love.

I LOVE this perfume it is perfection. It smells like the summer in the South of France, warm amber, a bit powdery, but not too much, a bit floral but not too much. A bit of sweetness but not too much. And you can somewhat control the strength and bring out the notes even more, by spraying more.

This is a scent however, that doen't project a lot. It stays quite close to the skin and I feel like I can't smell it on myself anymore after an hour. When I wake up the next day and I grab my used face mask from the day before when I wore the perfume, and I walked to the kitchen to throw my face mask in the bin, suddenly I smelled a trail of the perfume that was actually quite present ( and very pleasant!!).

I think this is one of those scents that your nose gets used to quite fast; within the first hour and then it could leave you feeling like you barely have any on. Also I feel like the sillage is better on paper and on objects like face masks. It just leaves the skin waaayyy faster, just kinda disappears which is a bummer ( especially for the price point ).

So I love the notes and the scent itself, my only complaint about this scent is the weak sillage after 15 minutes and the lack of longevity on the skin.

I would love to see Narciso release Ambrée Intense, with the EXACTLY same beautiful notes, but just much stronger! Please turn this fragrance into a bomb like we used to in the 90ies :D There are enough faint perfumes these days and there are barely any bombs left nowadays.

I hope Ambrée Intense will happen somehow because this perfume did give me hope that not all glory is lost in the perfume industry : the scent of Narciso Ambrée is an actual piece of art and I'm absolutely obsessed with it.

I just need that kick, that blast that lasts :D

In the meantime I will overspray to try to build up the village and the longevity. For the high price tag, that is a shame though..

chilloverspill

This is such a beautiful exotic fragrance without being fruity or laconic.
I get a lot of neroli in this and only a hint of frangipani. I’m currently on bottle number 2 of this; I like this perfume day time and although it is must suited to spring and summer I think the musk and cashmeran allow for it to work well through all the seasons.

Tran Tran

Such a pretty feminine scent, flowery, musky and powdery. It lasts on me for like 3-5 hours then becomes a warm ambery skin scent for the next 2-4 hours. I'm simply in love with Narciso scents so this review may be a bit biased. I have For her EDP, For her EDT, Fleur Musc, Rouge, Poudree and Ambree and fall in love with all and of those scents.

Sammbac

Mega flowers, pretty but overpowering florals and a little soapy. Reviewing because I got a free sample. I love frangipani as it's very heady but this scent has a very clean, soapy, bath salts sort of vibe rather than tropical. This would be a nice Spring daytime fragrance, shopping and brunch with friends perhaps. Not a sexy fragrance just clean, light and super floral I say again! Nothing too special.

Shui-Xian

Creamy, musky, strong hint of vanilla. Sweet and heavy. It is warm and comforting, but also cloying a little. Ylang-ylang is almost narcotic.

These are strong flowers for self-confident lady. A lady who can get what she desires with an elegance and charm.
I respect this delightfuly seductive perfume.

Mino Cappucino

As someone born and raised in the Caribbean, this fragrance completely embodied what the season of summer is to me. 100% a forever and always rebuy. Imagine you're on vacation in the caribbean living your best life where every aspect of your life is going right, you're genuinely happy, in love with who you are, in love with life! It's sounds a bit weird but this scent is what I imagine the emotion of happiness to smell like (at least for me). I traveled with this going back home and this mixed with the smell of powdery white sands and the turquoise water flowing over my feet was bliss.

rubypumps

Lovely, soft, warm, creamy scent. Almost like a very expensive body lotion. It smells amazing. I dazzle myself in it before going to bed. It feels safe and clean. Perfect for those hot sunny days when you don’t want to wear a heavy cloak of perfume. If only they would come with a stronger version for the colder season..

nataschav

This is giving floral powder with a hint of musk and a litttttle warmth and depth from the amber. Its gorgeous when just applied. Super comfortable and elegant. Its office to classy dinner safe.

The downside of it is that the opening is strong, but it literally dwindles into oblivion like a leaf from a tree. This bottle, or a travel sized bottle, needs to be carried at all times, because it needs reapplying every hour/hour and a half.

This is a beauty I imagine the soft spoken, crisp beige suited, Louboutin wearing ambitious women to wear at her corporate job. Ambitious but not overpowering.

Its a shame, because it’s fails to give projection AND longevity, and lets be fair. The girl that I’ve described just doesn’t have time to reapply whilst breaking the glass ceiling.

soso.sofia

Due to the fact that I adore Narciso edp, with Narciso Ambrée I was hoping to experience a pretty creamy and musky frangipani scent that would lovely for summer evenings. Unfortunately on myself all I perceived was a bit of a boring beige tinged (if scents were colors) mess.

Jenbug23

This one is odd on me. It’s a sweet creamy frangipani heavy fragrance. The musk is very clean and soft. However I feel like it’s lacking a hint of sweetness. It reminds me of a freshly ironed shirt. That kind of vibe. I’ll let my bottle sit for a while and try it again.

katie02kat

I really like the beautiful floral fragrance, I think it suits all seasons and I enjoy wearing it everywhere ❤️ It's an airy elegant light scent that makes you fall in love easily. I love it very much ❤️

likesleet

soft, subtle amber skin scent.

Fleurdecoco

Creamy, fruity and tender musk. It's a tropical getaway, a cool breeze that smells of jasmine and a tropical fruit smoothie all in one. I've been searching for a sweet yet sexy and elegant tropic scent that isnt cloying, and this is it.

Edit: unfortunately, it's staying power is total sh*t. I'm disappointed. However I'm still obsessed with the smell. Sad :(

nightcrawler12101995

The opening has a fresh burst of Frangipani and Neroli, soon the ylang ylang and ambery notes take more dominance with a powdery base. This perfume is ditto to the EDT but the EDP has more powdery nuances in its dry-down with prominent ylang ylang while the EDT stays fresher throughout. Gotta love the Narciso bottles!

minachanpark

This is the perfume I blind, relying entirely on the scent ingredients contained in the article to make a decision to buy it. And I was very nervous before receiving it because I didn't know if my blind choice was a mistake? But luckily, I think I was very wise to buy this perfume. Surprisingly, it is more fragrant than I thought and more special than this perfume bottle, which is my gout scent. It has the characteristic aroma of a Frangipani and Ylang ylang. And indispensable in it is Narciso's signature musk. Musk makes this perfume more powdery and soft, seductive and fresh. Normally I don't like perfumes that are too sweet, but Narciso Ambreé makes me happy, it's sweet but not the kind of strong, headache-sweet scent.

chlorodream

Sweet, powdery, slightly Ambery white floral musk. It’s very pretty and feminine, with that clean background that Narciso generally has. Not much to rave about for me, the black bottle is the best offering from them personally.

Acidula

I am ashamed to say that I bought a travel size of this one to celebrate my 40th birthday and I wanted something appropriate for the cougar party it's going to be (dress code: paillettes and animalier). That said, I actually really like it, my skin approves it and the dry down is acceptable. Slightly cloying at the beginning, but maybe I just have to get used to it - I usually wear cologne.
I'll definitely keep this small bottle for the incoming fall/winter cold nights out.

signature22

Received a sample today. This is so beautifully blended, there's a unique creaminess that I've never detected with any other perfume before. It's a unique creamy dimension which makes it feel expertly blended and crafted, I can imagine with overspraying it would make you feel like you're walking in a gorgeous light fluffy cloud.

I'd say it's a certainly a skin scent, it doesn't seem to project on me. I wonder if I bought a full bottled and over sprayed my body, whether that would increase the intensity as with just a couple of sprays there's no rich depth, but that's not a bad thing. It's a stunning fragrance, perhaps a little too on the light side. I'd certainly wear this around the house in my summer kimonos. I'd say it's a women that isn't trying to hard to be noticed or make a statement, but is absolutely stunning in her simplicity none the less, and traditionally uber feminine in her look and nature.

I enjoy it more when I don't try and differentiate the individual notes in my mind and simply enjoy the experience. Yes I can detect the frangipani, yes I can detect the ylang ylang, but fused together they become something new and quite delightful.

It makes me re evaluate the notion that great fragrances need to make a bold imposing statement. This is light, yet feels like a beautiful piece of work none the less.

maemaex

The most cozy and snuggly tropical scent I've ever smelled, so pretty! I've been wearing it during a nasty heat wave and it never feels heavy and somehow maintains a clean kinda feeling while being warm, not fresh. Sweet creamy scented lotion after a bath type of thing. At first sniff my nose smelled tiare... I guess I'm confusing it with frangipani or ylang. I smell the Narciso musk and ambery vanilla at the base but unfortunately I don't know if I'm familiar with cashmeran. I've probably smelled it before but I can't distinguish it. If it's overall effect is a soft blanket then yes the cashmeran is working! I'm obsessed with it as a bedtime fragrance but it works just as well being outside in the sunshine. It strangely feels off for me at work though, like it's too good to be there. It would rather be enjoying the day or taking a nap! Relaxing vibes only. Not sure how this would do in the winter, but I could see this fitting in year-round for the most part.

frag_nostalgia

Oh my goodness, this is beautiful. I sense every flower listed in the top, literally one by one. First is the ylang-ylang, which smells exactly like the ylang the house of Chanel uses. Then tuberoses that remind me of a Gucci tuberose. Then finally the lovely, sweet frangipane; like getting lei'd in Hawaii. Ambree is a gloriously feminine, powdery, floral musk with a warm amber aura anyone can enjoy all year round. Nobody does musk like Narciso! 🥰🥰🥰

*Edit: the transformation of this makes it worth going all in on. 3 hours later the florals are subdued and balanced perfectly, leaving me with a soft, gauzy, and sweet floral musk skin scent that is entirely unique. Stunning!

*Edit #2, day 2: Went heavy on this after my shower today. Two sprays on my bare chest, one on each inner elbow, and WOW.... There's an undeniably indolic jasmine plus cashmeran in the opening as well, very reminiscent of Mugler Alien. This is officially in my top 5 now, bumping off the beloved Alien. Don't listen to the people who claim this is "hairspray" and "alcohol". If you truly know your smells this is wayyy beyond being relegated to that. I wish people weren't so quick to make a public decision here, because that is SO misleading.💌

caro78

Powdery frangipane and cashmeraman
I don’t understand why nobody mentions how much this one is duping Just me from Roberto Cavalli ?

Soozatska

This is one of the most stultifyingly synthetic frags I have smelled in awhile. It absolutely smells like hairspray, as well as every magazine swatch of fragrance you've ever encountered...or just that wall of perfume that hits you when you enter a department store. Nothing distinct stands out in the composition, besides alcohol and cashmeran. Also worth noting that the "amber" here smells like Michael Kors Sexy Amber, which to me can barely be considered amber. It's a massive disappointment for sure.

rostov14

Tuberose-Jasmine woody musk flavoured with frangipani. Warm, spicy, animalic, balsamic that reminds me of
discontinued L 'absolu Narciso Rodriguez for her (burgundy bottle); just more cedarey at the drydow. Such a sunny perfume; soft, sensual and feminine like a weightless cashmere veil around you. What a treat! Especially, in the autumn, when the daylight is getting shorter. Sweet. Sensational Comforting
!!!
P S. L'absolu + Musc Intense NR EDP ( shiny burgundy bottle) = Ambree as a great substitute for both of those discontinued gems in one. 💞

loversandxo

This is how I’d imagine Lana del Rey smelling like in the summertime. Beautiful frangipani fragrance with a heavy dose of musk. Happy I purchased a 5 oz bottle!

GuleeJanah

Creamy hairspray.
I blind bought this online after months of longing, and shops not having stock. I wanted so much for this to be love as I love frangipani and white flowers, but alas, this was definitely not what I hoped I would experience.
Upon the first spray I got a creamy floral which was neither popping with tropical, white flowers nor popping out in any other way. Within minutes it became indistinguishable from what can only be described as that old school hair salon hair spray scent, that tart and sharp chemical tang in the nostrils, it kept growing more dominant on me with a creamy musk as it’s base. But not a sweet, flirty musk either.
I had almost no floral and all creamy hairspray.
I had it for 2 days before gifting it to my elder sister who experienced something much more enjoyable.
It is the end of Winter here, I do believe the notes would pop more in warmer weather, but it was too hairspray for me.

Mtee7

Can't get enough of this fragrance... Is a love after about 5 times wearing. Very well blended summery vibes . I can smell the mineral sunscreen lotion and slightly salty beaches vibes with floral and the ylang ylang does a good job to make it elegant . No matter what fragrance I've wearing that day I'm still craving this in my mind alot . It makes me enjoy with it very much .

ckorp8

Very beautiful opening. The ylang ylang was nicely blended so as not to be too dominating. Also blended well with the base. Like it well enough.

duaa abed

this smells tooo powdery not sexy not amby not summery . the only one from the line that deserves a like is Rouge

monce11bt

I just tried this today and believe me I am fascinated in every way possible by this fragrance. First it is a very very hot day here in my country, I was out shopping and I sprayed my self with Narciso Ambre in the perfume shop. Let me tell you, this is a summer jem. If I happen to create a summer vacation fragrance, this would be it. Fascinating sileage, the ylang ylang is the scent I get the most but elevated from all the sweetnes and deepnes from the other notes. Sexy vibes as summer should give away, tropical all the way, potent even trough all the sweat trough the 4h shopping spree. And that's not where my amazement from this fragrance ends. When I got home after 4h shopping on the hot sun I had to take a shower, and even after showering this fragrance is as good and as noticable and potent just as when I sprayed it. Yes it's on the pricey side for my country's standards, but it's so worth it because two sprays take you a long way. So I guess I found my new summer signature fragrance and vacation scent suitable for summer days and nights.
p.s. A day and two showers later I still get a light hint of this scent on mu skin that now in the late dry down reminds me a lot of Roberto Cavalli EDP.

fresh, vaguely peachy soft, feminine musk

KaliDurga

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! Love this! This is a signature scent if ever there was one. Sweet frangipani and ylang-ylang with luscious amber and musk. If I had to create a scent, it would be this one. Great projection. Super sexy and evocative. 10/10

Venia92

Oh my god!!! What an absolute gem 💎😍😍😍
I’m absolutely in love with this scent! In my opinion the absolute summer perfume!! Powdery and floral at the same time! Tropical, elegant and sexy! My boyfriend is going crazy when I’m wearing it! He keeps sniffing me all the time! 😂
To be honest I don’t know why there are so many negative comments about this! Absolutely in love! I have a feeling this will be my new signature scent!

kobylnice

I love the smell when it’s first sprayed, full of rich Ylang-Ylang and sweet floral notes. So summery! Sadly after a short while it turns into a quite generic sweet fragrance and also the dry down it's very synthetic. Sorry, it's a pass.

Enrium

Narciso EDP Ambrée is a sweet, amber-floral scent that smells quite generic, aside from the trademark NR musk note. Reasonably pleasant, yet slightly headache-inducing as it develops, it is a simple, sweet scent, aptly named.

Ambrée opens with a sweet, summery white floral accord, lush and tropical initially, but slightly cloying as time moves on. Clean musk rounds it out nicely, and a sweet amber-vanilla accord emerges after a little while.

It would be nicer without the cashmeran note that lingers in the background - this smells quite synthetic, and is perhaps the reason why this scent gets headache-y for me as it progresses. It is fairly linear - the floral notes remain throughout, bolstered by the amber-vanilla and musk, sweet until the final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

Not bad, but not great, it is perhaps ruined for me by the cashmeran note. Still, a crowd-pleasing sweet feminine scent for year-round daytime use. 2.5/5.

Mennaa

My mom got me this. I’m on the fence about whether I love it or not. The opening of this is really beautiful and intoxicating, then it really starts to be very headache inducing, loud and kinda dirty? The dry down is so muted and almost undetectable.
I like it, don’t get me wrong. It smells kinda similar to Victoria’s Secret Amber Romance, obv bec of the amber. I like it but towards two hours of wearing it, it’s kinda loud and idk how to feel about it.
When and where to wear this? Maybe summertime, late night parties, dinners.. etc. I have this feeling that this smells more beautiful in an open-air setting, in comparison to wearing this inside.
It also really remind me of sth of my childhood tbh. Maybe something my mom used to wear. Then, I remembered Givenchy’s Amarige; they’re really similar.
Longevity: 7/10
Sillage: 7/10

venusbruises

Most people seem to prefer this version over the Neroli edt or find them super similar but imo the Eau Neroli is so much better. While the Eau Neroli edt is sunshine in a bottle, the original Ambree lacks something crucial for me.

Comparing to Eau Neroli version, this is more coconutty and the musk is way heavier. I think the strenght of the musk in this is the main problem for me and I think it's better balanced in the edt. There's also vanilla in the base of the edp which I'm personally not a huge fan of. This scent is not gourmand per se but it is so sweet it has a gourmand-y edge to it.
It's ok and I'm probably going to wear it time to time during the summer, but to be Eau Neroli is the winner out of these two.

Shmooksey

I quite like it. All the reviews below are accurate I think, it has a sweetness and a warmth, but there is quite a fair powderiness which could be better slightly toned down. However, I don't think it interferes with the overall vibe. I don't think it is elderly either- the sweetness brings it down to a youthfulness. I am 21 and I would wear this happily without concern of smelling mature, something I actively avoid in a fragrance. This is specifically a summer fragrance for me, but specifically an evening dinner on a warm day fragrance- not a morning to evening. I wouldn't wear it day to day at all. I like to be the fresh breeze during summer, and the warm fireplace during winter.

luluxielle

This is an acquired taste. I want to like it but I couldn't. Even though there's no coconut in this perfume I can smell the coconut, which I hate on perfumes. I used to regularly apply coconut oil on my hair due to my really dry and flaky scalp and I don't want to be reminded of that while spending $80 for a bottle.

Scent-wise, it's warm and smells almost edible. It's also creamy and soft which is what I like except for the coconut scent it gives me but don't be disheartened if you are planning to buy it, each person has different ways of interpreting scents from their noses. It just happens that my brain is interpreting it as "coconutty". You better go to the store and try it yourself or get a 0.8ml vial. It lasts long though!

helenearne

Love it. It's elegant and creamy - it reminds me of a less tropical, more big-city version of Hibiscus Palm (and thats one of my favorites, so definitely a compliment!)
It opens cuper creamy with delicious yland-ylang, fragipani and white flowers, and the drydown is an addictive, creamy musky skin scent.

jadesfragrances

could do with being slightly less powdery as i feel like it overwhelms some of the other notes at times. the frangipani is really lovely, though i think it’s the cashmeran and vanilla towards the dry-down thats my favourite thing about this. it makes it a little more warm and cosy. sadly i find it doesn’t project much at all, i could barely smell it on myself.

Tarine

This has two faces. At first, it is sooooo beautiful !! For me, it makes me imagine tropical, flowerly fantastic Asian area with musk. The beginning is very cute. I feel I would love to soak myself into the scent (;▽;)However, around the end of the smell, it becomes something really uncomfortable and dirty which reminds me of trash of tabac…on my skin.

I have some perfumes from Narciso Rodriguez. Most of them end with comfy musk smell in my opinion, I adore it, but not this one !! I don’t know why…

I wish the beginning smell would last forever…

LivsAnne

I love the smell when it’s first sprayed, but I’m not sure about the dry down scent it’s very powdery. I feel it may be more suited to someone older… this was my initial thought, having since worn this fragrance on a warm sunny day I feel like I can now see the true beauty of this fragrance, it’s sits so beautifully on the skin in the warmth. Most definitely a spring/summer fragrance for me

Lyric82

Absolutely love this soft and sunny yellow floral scent. It’s very pretty and inoffensive, so I think it would be fine in the office. It seems to have only mild to moderate projection, which again, is good for a work appropriate fragrance. The feeling I get when wearing it is a very bright and Sunny, slightly tropical floral. But no sunscreen vibes here. There is a little bit of a powdery musk, but it’s not overbearing. I tend to not like scents that are too powdery, so this one doesn’t overdo it for me. I feel like this is a great spring and summertime, daytime perfume.

Ninalovesclassy

This is annoying for my nose. Too much powder, its unbearable.

ParisLoveXo

All I can say is wow this is beautiful . Musky powdery and Frangipani . Thought it was peach before looking at the notes . It’s so beautiful

Gin Palace

This is the first Narciso Rodriguez perfume I have owned and smelled. I ended up with it because I’m obsessed with powdery perfumes and I wanted to try Narciso Poudree. So I ordered a gift set with body lotion in an online sale. I only wanted the Poudree version.. well, I open the package and the shop has made an error and sent the Ambree! So I contacted them and they said I could try it and if I liked it, keep it and have a 50% refund. So, I cracked it open (I was wary of keeping it because I was worried I wouldn’t like the frangipani and it would be sickly).

I was pleasantly surprised! I liked it. It smells tropical and summery to me, probably ideal for a summer scent for me, like sun cream but more luxurious. I live in the uk where it rarely gets insanely hot. The next association I got, harked me back to summer in the 90s, and my mum. The reason for this, I realised, was because it reminds me of Dior Dune, one of my mum’s signature scents back then and one I used to borrow on occasion. Surprised no one else has said this. I haven’t smelled the modern version of Dune, or any version since then so my memory could be hazy, but it definitely struck that chord! It’s the musk and most of all, the Amber. So, it’s really nice and I’ll be keeping it. Maybe it was meant to be, but now I still have to get the Poudree 😩.

derkargy

A deeper version of Prada's La Femme, amongst frangipani, velvet cashmeran and voluptous amber.

singlehandedbeauty

I'm wearing this side-by-side with the EDT trying to decide which one to buy. Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée is a tropical concoction that is sophisticated yet easygoing. The ylang-ylang, frangipani are light and airy, the vanilla and amber are creamy without being sacchrine, and the musk is clean and cozy. The EDP is warmer, more comforting, and a bit more complex than the EDT. Sadly, this disappears within minutes of application on my skin, but luckily I prefer the EDT which is cleaner, fresher, and more solar. I would consider buying the 30ml if it were a better performer.

LOST_HORIZON

Narciso Ambrée edp is the golden and happy dawn of Narciso Rodriguez.

A fragrance that opens spectacularly floral, even the first time I noticed a slight smell of mosquito killer spray, but nothing important if you are a person who likes fragrances with a white floral body. The following times its smell is not as powerful, the nose gets used to this smell, for this reason I recommend trying this perfume more than once.

And although I admit that Ambrée is sweetening minute by minute, I do consider this perfume suitable for summer (and my summers are oppressive and hot), but it is also obvious to say that in a heat wave it could be more risky.

I feel in this Narciso youth and modernity, always mixed with good style and elegance. I love to feel a solar perfume that I like to use for formal occasions, summer events where I put on my best dress and let my hair down with my best curls.

It has musk, of course, but frangipani and ylang dress it up so feminine, a golden and summery image is completed with amber, a golden, deep, magnetic, even mysterious amber... a golden amber that radiates from the Sun.

It's wonderful, definitely exotic, beautiful, very solid and with an elegant and unalterable bearing character, like a Mayan pyramid in which the sun touches at sunset...

If you still think that it is too much, there is the option of the Ambrée Neroli, much fresher, less sweet but blood brother.

mqkm

MY MOST FAVOURITE PERFUME OF ALL TIME! Addictive.. solar, tropical, exotic, calming, modern, elegant, powdery, and with amazing tropical florals - ylang ylang, frangipani with hints of vanilla, amber and musk.

Gioia's secret

Ambree is one of the most beautiful and feminine fragrances I have ever tested! I really really love this fragrance and it’s definitely my most favorite from NR collection!
But whenever I see a nice deal on this fragrance, I am doubting to purchase it, and here is why, at the beginning it’s so strong, that my sensitive nose evokes my allergy, and if I spray more than once, I am having a headache. And at the same time it’s not long lasting.

Cherrybubble

To me this is a soft creamy version of poudree. Initially I get a powdery vibe but that soon settles down to a white floral soft musk. I don't get the comparison with the likes of sun di gioia or beach walk at all. The yellow flowers have totally bypassed me which is a shame because I love yellow flowers and a sun/solar type perfume. Never mind, it's still a beautiful scent and definitely a new fave

squishfish

I ordered this based on the review of a popular YouTube reviewer and unfortunately this is not for me. I am not 100% which note it is that bothers me but I know it is either a white or yellow floral. I get the same experience with a number of other fragrances which have white and yellow floral notes. I don't know why but to my nose I get really strong hairspray vibes, I make others test it around me and they do not get similar so I know it is a me problem. I also get this same experience with Armani Prive - Rouge Malachite which is a very popular fragrance. I wanted to love Narciso Ambree based on the notes and all the reviews but my nose has other plans.

Rozalina

This is like being snuggled into a cashmere blanket scented with creamy tropical frangipani and ylang ylang. I do get a small hint of white florals- tuberose? But mostly the yellow flowers steal the show. Very cozy and I can see it working in summer or winter when you need a reminder of warmer days to come. I’m not a fan of cashmere or fabric notes in general but this is done very well.

Natalia Bluebell

Uh, what an unexpected gem! I stumbled across a huge sale and got a 50ml of this beauty for £20, so it was a not planned blind buy. I had Poudree before and liked it quite a bit but it was a different story.
This is the creamiest, yellow, flowery scent I have ever tried! It's like soft linen in a breezy Mediterranean villa, with windows wide open to the warm air bringing smell of flowers.
I love it! And can't wait for the summer to see how it goes but it's a masterpiece already!

perfeptions

Imho, this is the go-to perfume for Narciso Rodriguez aficionados for the summer time. The frangipani and ylang-ylang really make it smell tropical and the sweetness of the amber and the vanilla goes hand in hand with the signature Narciso musk. If you are interested into hearing more about this perfume please watch my Youtube video on my channel perfeptions on perfume perceptions.

lillybethholmes

This has me huffing at my wrist like a woman possessed, because a) it smells like something from my childhood and I cannot fathom what it is, like when you have a word on the tip of your tongue and b) there is some big juicy fruitiness that isn't listed anywhere and it's not frangipani, amber or ylang ylang. Something of the funk of an overripe mango. It seems like a really different scent on everyone's skin, there's no continuity of reviews so I'm intrigued beyond belief, and that's before even deciding if I **like** it or not. I'm not sure I do but I can't lay off it. Glad I didn't blind buy a full bottle - I think I'm going to have to sit with this one a while, try layering it, maybe, because at the moment I'm intrigued but unsure, yet have my nose buried in my arm repeatedly 😂. Potential headacher.

iszzieanna

A typical frangipani, summery scent. Very comparable to Beach Walk without the coconut note.

Contrary to many, I like this very much. It smells like sunshine and warmth. Yes, at first the powderiness is overwhelming. However it eventually mellows out to be a lactonic frangipani musk. I think it’s quite pleasant and isn’t offensive. Perfect for whatever weather you wanna wear this in.

étoilesdejasmin

I love poudree NR.
But this one….. This one…… god help.

I’m irked because it’s rare that I dislike fragrances that awfully so. The only fragrance I dislike more than this, is the purple Mugler alien - which I wish I could burn.

My -not very interested in fragrance- sister adores it; she wears things like the Britney Spears, or DG light blue I believe its called. If you like those, you might like this.
See, There’s nothing offensive about it, the batch is fine, i can detect the notes listed. just it’s mere existence - I can’t stand. It overall smells like soapy musk. That’s all. Soapy goddamn musk. Maybe room spray. I like yellow florals in general, I love musk, but something about the combo of notes here makes me sick - I truly and sincerely sulk when I sniff my sister wear it. It’s also so boring to me, so damn plain… just nice comfy soap with a spring-summer energy to it.
Sure it’s bright and uplifting yet not too sharp or sweet but i could describe soap analogously.
It also has this odd and irrelevant masculine undertone that just doesn’t work.
This is not a safe blind purchase. Considering the price, I would likely scream if I got this as a gift.
In a way, it reminds me of of cheap body sprays. Some people saying it smells like a hotel lobby - I actually perfectly get what they mean.

Zethre

Slightly sweet, but not sugary, more a full vanilla-y ambery scent. Maybe very slightly floral?
There's a slightly odd note that reminds me of old fashioned postage stamps, the ones that weren't self adhesive - something papery but slightly sharp. As it develops this becomes more floral, reminiscent of Gucci Bloom.
Quite pleasant but I'm glad I only bought a sample as it gets overwhelming after a while.
Good sillage though.

Atomikbomb_

When will I dislike a NR fragrance?! Today is not the day, and I doubt that day is anywhere near. In fact, I doubt it will ever arrive.

This is yet another beautiful musky floral, and smells both tasteful but sensual enough to be interesting.

I really want to wear this when it's high summer, and high humidity. I truly suspect that this little beauty will bloom in the heat, and it could become heady and nearly narcotic in the sun. The combo of ylang ylang and frangipani is really lovely, and gives a comforting, almost languid feel to this. 🌸 The color of the bottle is perfect for way this scent's tone.

It isn't busy or fussy, but this is well balanced and feels like it was curated. The amber is a sweet, Millennial (no harm intended, I'm a Millennial too, calm down) sort of amber, with a clean, almost salty musk. It's cozy, and summery at once, which is why I actually think I love this entirely. This is quite interesting and I don't think I've smelled a tropical floral and musk combo.

It has ok longevity, I do wish it was a tad better. It's a mild projector and stays pretty intimate, though it's strong for the first hour.

Sreza7

A musky version of beach walk or Soleil Blanc. The cedar makes it a tad masculine. Not a fan.

tashfiamamun

pretty nice musky floral, but nothing remarkable about her, and I can't really smell the amber. Smells very nostalgic to me but I don't remember exactly what it reminds me of.
Its not a must have, but a nice cute floral for when you need to cheer yourself up

hola gigi

Musky, ylang ylang & amber. On me, it's a skin scent after an hour. Wish I loved the juice as much as I do the bottle..

Cherry_Darling

Mostly floral on me - and the old school kind. Probably a mix of the ylang and white florals that don't agree with my skin. But it's very indolic on me. Not so much a musky scent but an indolic floral. Somewhat tropical but on me this is very much something Elizabeth Arden could have created.

LauraAD

Frangipani and tropical flowers/fruit FOR HOURS. I don't get as much of the amber as I would like, and the soft woody musk only very subtly appears many hours after application. On me it's all tropical and a bit of vanilla. The previous reviewer likens it to a Mediterranean hotel lobby, and for me it's very reminiscent of the open lobby of the 5* hotel right on the sea that I stayed at in Borneo. Hot, tropical, floral but not "flowery", smells expensive and luxurious, and very very summery. I'm going to enjoy this one once the sun is out and the temperatures rise for sure.

leafia

to me, this smells like a hotel lobby in a mediterranean country. imagine walking into the lobby of a 3 or 4 star hotel in the morning right after it was just cleaned, and there you have it! that is mainly the reason why I ended up purchasing it — it brings me back to family vacations in the mid-2000’s. the scent is intriguing and nostalgic to me at the same time, and I don’t think I’ve ever smelled anything like it. but despite that, I haven’t actually worn it that much. not because I don’t like it, but because it doesn’t scream “me” the way some of my other perfumes do. also, my mother (we usually enjoy the same scents) mentioned that she wasn’t a fan of this scent at all, and that made me doubt my own nose. I started thinking that maybe it’s just appealing to me because of the nostalgic factor. either way, I do still like it when I smell it. it’s very sexy and captivating. the sillage and longevity is really good too, so it’s a great perfume if you want something longlasting! because of the “hotel lobby” feeling it gives me, I only use it in the summer, but I’m sure it works well in colder weather as well.

PerfumeForLainy

For me it is frangipany done wright! Usually frangipany, Ylang, amber heavy scents are a bit suffocating and even headache inducing, especially when overspayed. Ambree has a nice trick of adding the mentioned notes to clean musc and cedar which provide air, light and round softness to the composition. I recently bought the big bottle as a bit of summer for the winter time and casually sprayed it in the morning on both skin and clothes. It wears like a tender sweet frangipany cloud that is quite pleasant and airy. Decent longevity and mild sillage. If you normaly like NR muscs, you might find this one unsufficiantly animalistic and dirty.

It is the only NR scent that I actualy like and do not find grossly dirty and uncomfortable.

Irinka. K

I've smelled it before, MANY TIMES. Nothing special.

Timi1983

I am not sure why this is being compared to Narciso Narciso Rodriguez, they’re two completely different fragrances. I received my cube and hour and half ago. It is an interesting scent. There is one note that doesn’t go well with the rest at the opening, I believe is the frangipani. Dry down is gorgeous, less overpowering. I don’t find it a summery scent but a fall one in my opinion. As for now Narciso Narciso Rodriguez is still my favourite of the cube collection. This takes second position, while the Rouge scores a third place after discovering this beaut.
It is not a fragrance for every woman.

Dusk

Truly interesting scent, a powdery, ambered, vanillic and musky one.

The florals are the composition core: sadly they disappears rapidly, but I feel this is a great idea to be a signature women fragrance, even if I don't go particularly mad for NR aestetique.

Still, a solid like from me!

wolfalice

I just have to talk about this - I can't not. First of all this is not a scent for my skin personally. Not that it smelled unpleasant on me, quite the contrary, but the notes fit my personality about as well as an ill-fitting glove. That being said, after blindly spraying this on my wrist I spent the rest of my day with my hand firmly plastered across my face; I couldn't stop smelling it. I'm sure this fragrance put some sort of spell on me, I found it completely addictive. I think it's the frangipani, vanilla, and musk combination that was intoxicating, and at times it smelled a lot like peaches. My first thought was "Wow I would be very attracted to someone wearing this". It's bright, kind, joyful, comforting, and a little bit seductive. If you're a fan of scents that scream "summer" but not in the citrusy way I couldn't recommend this enough.

AnitaHendricks

Pretty! The tender, light frangipani note goes well with the slightly warm amber note. The vanilla note is just there in the background, building a subtile bridge between the two. There's a musky base underneath it all; you could use this perfume as non-binary, leaning towards the feminine side!

Stoicchild

Beautiful exotic Amber fragrance! Anything Amber I love it. I usually find all the Narciso perfumes annoying due to heavy cinnamon and cardamom usage, but I'm glad he came up with this oriental gem (=

ingeneuxo

-Opens smelling sickly sweet.
-Dries down rather pleasant: the ylang-ylang really shines.
-Ovreall: Ambree is a rollercoaster ride that goes from screechy sweet blend to soft, feminine floral scent.
-There's ever so slightly a ghost note of milk that is off-putting. (-)

Swedelish

If I had to choose one Narciso cube it'd be Ambree. It smells just like Sun Di Gioia on top of the Narciso edt black cube base. It's funny, I don't gravitate towards either of those two scents but I like them combined here. It's less sweet than the black cube and less floral than Sun. An easy reach I imagine for lovers of this line and lovers of tropical florals. I don't care for this line as a whole, but once I saw they were making a warm tropical-themed one I thought it'd be worth checking out.

Like all of the Narciso Cubes, Ambree is densely packed. Sunny tropical florals for cool weather. Sure it's a little basic; an effortless casual reach. But sometimes that's all I need.

A couple of sprays packs plenty punch. Longevity is very good and it remains detectable to others long after I stop smelling it - as it often goes with musk and me.

Smells like the color of the bottle.

miriamcarothers

Just received my bottle from FragranceNet. Wowzers the bottle is beautiful! Something about that pastel coral color within the cube and matching matte cap is so satisfying.
I think this is the best of all the Narciso scents.
Then again, I’m biased as I love ylang ylang, frangipani and amber.
Otherwise- I knew what I was getting into buying this blind from FragranceNet- if you’re cool with the general Narciso musk style- this is a safe purchase.

VikingWoman

I got this as a tester an right away i recognized it. It smells so much like Crystal Noir (the original one) from Versace.
It has that gardenia scent and soft creamy coconut. I have and love Poudree, but after having applied both to my hands Poudree must go now. This Ambre is so much better. So soft and tender. Poudree smells almost chemical in comparison.
I really enjoy that it smells so good from the very beginning, and that I will not have to endure that hairspray fase like Poudree. Only downside is the longevity and sillage, it is not that longlasting.
I could be reviewed as a luxurious lotion scent. Very rich and cocooning scent.

Nolo Sath

This to me smells like the OG Red Door. I don’t like it at all.

imimsd12

This smells so amazing going in to the holiday season 2021 will be grabbing this one a lot its so sensual and perfect and very uplifting.... Really like the collection

Ferra_Verto

I really liked this for summer, Poudree's lightly tropical sister. Strong ylang and frangipani, lightly tampered by white florals. Lots of fluffy musk and cozy cashmeran to round everything out. Great sillage, noticeable in close proximity without being cloying. Lasts around 6 hours on skin, upwards of 8 hours on clothes. A very well done flanker.

Florind

retro, intimate, good lady, amber, warm, darkly yellow, indoor(big house), dense

Emera1d

Remove the powdery notes from Narciso Poudree and you get Narciso Ambree. Pretty much identical in middle and dry down. But sampling Ambree reminded me how much I liked Poudree which I think I will buy another bottle of.

Rssr

This is the sister of Poudree. And since Poudree is my signature scent, how in love I'm with this one too. Definitively I'm a huge NR cubes fan. This fragrance just makes me so happy! And it gives me so much peace... if I can only describe the beautiful state this perfumes gifts me

Siljemariyeah

Unpopular opinion, but I actually enjoy this more than Poudree. I love the Narciso, Rouge and Rouge edt, enjoy Poudree. This is less powdery than Poudree but still has the cube line DNA. However Ambree would be the one that steers the most away from the line. Usually I love powdery scents and own a lot of them, so I was most excited about Poudree. But maybe that's just why it didn't stand out as much as I expected it to.. It reminds me of Insolence and Valentina Poudre mixed with Narciso. Beautiful, but I already have all of them. That one is imo kind of like Narciso with training wheels. If you can't quite bring yourself to enjoy Narciso or find it too sharp or if you find it somewhat masculine, try Poudree!

Ambree is warmer and less dry in comparison to the others I mentioned.
It is beautiful and creamy. A bit powdery, but not dry. Warm, not aloof. It translates beautifully on my skin. It dries down to a milky musk. The way it melts into my skin gives a buttery feel. I swear I smell a salty or sand note. Maybe that's why it melts so effortlessly into my skin. Sensual and not too serious. Quite linear when it sets. Perfect for spring, summer nights and early fall. It wraps you in a warm glow. Smells like you would naturally smell like this from a body lotion or hair care products instead of a perfume. It smells a bit as if my argan oil body wash is lingering from after a warm shower. But not soapy at all. Just warm and clean. It gives me Le Bain vibes. Not that they really smell similar, but they both give me that warm, enveloping, clean feel without being "fresh".
Only thing I don't like is the performance.. But compared to a lot of other summer scents it's not bad.

violetscout

Beautiful bottle no doubt but doesn't stand out for me. Tbh, I was disappointed because I love amber-y perfumes.

marymag

A faint ideal of sand swept Hawaiian Tropic made elegant and simple. Frangipani and musk and warm amber.

My skin doesn’t agree with Narciso musks, and I’ve tried basically all of them. They come off as peppery and dry wood harsh. But this one is much softer and closer to the skin than the others. Definitely worth checking out even if the cube range has disappointed you!

Best for late summer/early autumn.

EstherR

I love the musk smell, clean and pure. I recommend

SummerRose

I got a tester of this and I have tried wearing it twice. On my skin, all I get is the woody notes. It comes across very masculine on me. Unfortunately, it's a no from me.

raiza1990

It’s a feminine and elegant fragrance. It’s soft powdery with a touch of white flowers. It has that Narciso DNA that many like. I imagine a discreet professional woman wearing it. it reminded me of Narciso Poudrée, but Ambrée is less powdery. If you like Narciso’s scents, this is a safe choice.

Bonneville

I received a little tester of this fragrance with a buy of other items. I saw the beautiful orange/peach color with frosty glas and i was very curious. So i picked it to test it out.

First spray was flowery and poudery(maybe the musk). This fade away very fast. I got the Poudree version from Narciso Rodrigues and now wearing this Ambrée version longer it has the same after smell as that version. For my personal taste, this was not a fit for me.

(& Hi everybody, first review here)

Laralaritaaa

A carbon copy of sun di goia by Giorgio Armani but performance is by far inferior. Both of them have that ylang ylang note that makes my stomach sick, even though I really like the scent.

M429g931

This stuff has Goddess energy. I could totally see this turning into a signature. It is so happy, yet sexy and playful and mature all in one. I’m biased because I love amber, but this will be a repurchase no doubt!

Murmur123123

I have several perfumes from Narciso Rodriguez and I am a big fan of the house. The Narciso signature musky scent in Narciso Ambree is a lot softer and weaker than some of the other ones from the house, and makes Ambree suitable for spring and summer daytime wear. I pick up the yellow florals very prominently, the amber and musk scents are quite soft. The overall feel of this perfume is very tropical (without being fruity or coconutty) with a slight suntan lotion vibe. The dry down is woody with a hint of sweet vanilla. Overall I quite like it, a very good choice for spring/summer without going down the citrus/freshie direction.

AnlisaC

I just received this and I love it! It reminds me of something from my childhood another perfume my mom had but I’m not sure what it was or actually with my age I can’t remember LOL!

It’s a beautiful floral woody fragrance on me with almost tropical but not in a coconut way more of a floral scent. The frangipani comes out right away once sprayed and then mixes with the ylang-ylang and almost has this suntan scent but NOT Hawaiian tropics more of an expensive sun lotion that you buy at SAKs. Amber for me doesn’t show up whatsoever but the musk does in the dry down. I’m really liking this and I just got a one ounce I’m going to get a bigger bottle very soon. I always enjoy Narciso Rodriquez fragrances and will always purchase they are excellent and not your mass marketed fragrances scents that we get with other brands 😉.

melimelo87

I just got a 10ml sample of this to try it out as I am a sucker for frangipani and all yellow flowers for that matter...but this is a strong fail for me.
You got a heady dose of flowers at first and they persist for a long time and to be honest on my skin it smells like an old flower soap😥the drydown is not that bad, i get a bit of woodsy notes and powdery accords, but will not be purchasing it. Not a safe blind buy, sniff before!

perfumesniffer

Have a 10 mL decant of NR Ambree. At this point I should probably never try another NR. Every single one kills me in the dry down. NR Poudree seemed beautiful for a while but eventually that synthetic detergenty base got me. Same thing with Ambree. It starts off a nice dense tropical scent but falls apart within an hour. This isn’t about amber at all on me. It’s a creamy dense tropical floral at first that’s fairly nice. I wish NR would invest in better materials because their bases are horrific synthetic monsters. I do love the cube bottles and that’s probably why I’ve kept giving them a shot.

This is a definite dislike for me.

TS886

This smells beautiful and lasts a decent amount of time. I could still smell it on my sweater the next day. Has a lovely warm smell that would be perfect and cozy in cold weather.

emilianods75

Powdery and sweet fragrance. Nothing outstanding. Not memorable for me. When you put it on is a blast!!!! but then the dry down remains ordinary. Sillage is weak.

nordic.girl

I second what the reviewer below me said: you get that powdery, clean musk note that is in all cubes' DNA. You either love it or hate it (and it's very different from the musk in "For Her" and flankers), so just like the other cubes, please do not blind buy it and sample several times beforehand. 🙏

While with many other perfumes it was instant love or hate, all Narciso cubes had to grow on me. I liked this one, but I liked it the least among the other cubes, maybe because this one is a little bit too heavy on the powdery/musky DNA (for being beach type of scent), so it depends a lot on the person and how they imagine their sunkissed skin to smell. 🌞

I respect this fragrance a lot from many points of view, not the least for the good longevity compared to other beachy fragrances (to name one, Sun di Gioia, which is often compared to Ambrée: it doesn't last half the time!). With the musk being a little on the heavy side, I recommend not overspraying. While it's not a beast mode fragrance, it could be an issue with hot temperatures in the summer. A couple of sprays go a long way and strike the right balance in hot months. You can spray more in the fall (for which I see the perfume also suited, by the way!). 🍂

I ended up giving this perfume away, in an attempt to reduce my perfume collection and only keep the perfumes I truly love, but I still have great respect for all creations coming from the Narciso house, and this cube is no exception. 💛

RachelSeun

I knew there was an element that reminded me of D&G’s Dolce Garden... the bright yellow floral opening makes NR’s Ambree smell a little tropical but you definitely still get that powdery, clean musk note that is so signature for the Narciso Rodriguez brand. It’s very soft and very clean but it stills smells so pretty and feminine at the same time. A very light and gentle fragrance, can’t see how this would offend anyone at work.

Meggybelle

I blind bought this and tried it on today and I really like it. So far I'm not a huge Narciso fan. This is only my 2nd fragrence I like from the house. This scent is lovely. It smells buttery and tropical. Amber usually smells like butter and salt to me. I love it. Almost pop corn ish. I love the tropical flowers in it. This perfume reminds me alot of Paco Rabanne Pure XS. I plan on wearing this spring and summer but it might be fine all year round. Scent is awesome I'm surprised more people are not loving it.

alliesunshine

This definitely doesn’t have the strong narciso DNA that the rest share, so in terms of that this perfume may disappoint some. However, aside from that, this fragrance is beautiful. It smells like warm clean skin. It’s soft and beautiful. The projection isn’t massive but I think that definitely matches the vibe of this perfume. It isn’t meant to be massive, it’s part of it’s beauty. That doesn’t mean it isn’t detectable because I get compliments when I wear it. Longevity is amazing, on your skin it melts into and settles soft and beautifully but on clothes it lasts extremely well. If you spray just once on your clothes in addition to your usual skin sprays, the combination is perfect and you will notice longevity is fantastic. A lot of people have said this perfume isn’t ground breaking and is generic etc but I honestly haven’t found anything similar. I’ve smelled some of the perfumes in the “smells similar” section and I honestly don’t agree. I don’t find this smells like Poudree at all. Give it a try. This is one of my top 3s

Jabouba

It’s an okay perfume, the bottle is pretty but I prefer Narciso and Narciso poudree.

iremis

I wanted to try Poudree and with it i got an Ambree tester as well, i wasnt really interested in it because those notes are usually not my thing. But after trying it i find it better than poudree. Its sweet but not sugary, yellow floral and tropical sweetness. Frangipani and vanilla blend is absolutely delicious. I think this would be overwhelming in summer, because Ambree is not “cold” like other Narciso perfumes, this one has sweetness, yet its too tropical for winter. So i thought it would be suitable for spring-fall. Longevity is pretty good as well, though im not fan of the drydown, i feel it smells a bit like rotten fruit, but only at the very end.
I wont be purchasing a bottle since i dont love it, but its a strong like.

perfumeandorder

Blind bought it but the same day got an email to say it was out of stock.
Went to my local drugstore and tested it out. I AM SO GLAD that this went out of stock. Absolutely horrible.
I really hope I am not someone who cannot stand tropically suntan scents (Although this did not give me those suntan vibes) - if this is the reason why I disliked I will come back and edit.
But this is awful the smell was like yellow flowers that are slightly rotten. I did not get any musk or vanilla. I am not the worlds biggest amber fan unless it is well blended and here it most certainly is not.
This lasted even after scrubbing and instantaneously gave me a headache.
I do not recommend giving the testing phase a miss and blind buying it.

Artemis 23

On me it smells kinda off, like it mixes badly with my skin. I mostly smell the ylang-ylang and frangipani. It reminds me of the perfumes that old ladies used to wear when going to church when I was little. It's warm and cozy but too flowery for me. I would say it's classy and mature. Lasting power is so-so.

Sol0013

To my nose, this is beautifully woody in the opening. Then, I get warm amber and yellow floral. Actually, I don't like it much. I think it's the yellow floral that makes me not like it.

floralfragrance

Musky, warm, creamy with a slightly sharp edge that all in this line have in common. This is not tropical, it is warm and musky and musk projects differently on every skin so I’d recommend trying before getting a bottle. A warmer and creamier skinscent version of the original 🤍

Joani_Cheddar

A musk musk musk perfume with slight sweet amber involvement. I picture a classy woman who never wears jeans and prunes fresh flowers daily for a vase on her kitchen table: there may be a mini van involved.

lmnsvgz

Slightly sweeter and fresher than other Narciso fragrances.

gweyslabao

It smells so creamy, I had to check if there is a coconut note in here. Good thing to read others have noticed that too.

Smells like narciso rodriguez edp went to the beach. It has that beach vibe without the sea salt smell. My friend who cannot tolerate marine notes will love this.

FiligreeAngel

My favourite fragrance for this summer. Hands down. When I first read the notes on release I was pretty sure I was going to love it so I bought it blind. Has the signature musk of this line and the beautiful solar, creamy warmth of the flowers and amber. There are no screechy florals here. The drydown has that light incense vibe.

Longevity and sillage is a little lacking compared to others in the Narciso line but personally, I find this not unreasonable for a summer fragrance.

If I'm feeling hedonistically tropical I will spray SJP's NYC Pure Crush all over before applying this for a creamy coconut bonus.

mkgss

[Received tester bottle EDP. Usage in all year around high humidity tropical climate.] Opening of the signature Narciso scent was so lovely, but on my skin - dry down got dirty in a not so good way. The natural sweet scent lingers around as a strong amber which I am not so fond of. As a scent it is pretty, but for my liking I would not purchase a full bottle. Scent reminds me of warm ray of sunset in the fall. It would suit a warm comforting female around 30 and above.

deinnorra

This has a gorgeous opening, that phase may easily get addictive. The drydown kind of reminded me of Wonderlust by Michael Kors, though this one is definitely classier, less in your face. I checked to see if anyone else got that resemblance, apparently not. But then I checked the other perfumes by Aurelien Guichard and there it is, Wonderlust!

I like this one so much better. The warmth and softness of Ambree is heaven.

Liz-frag

This perfume is one that smells like suntan , summer and island but yet don’t smell like this tanspray vibe we can find in a lot of summery fragrances .
There is something different and additional about this one .
Almost a sharpness required to break this gentle spray scent usual thing . I personally like it and would rock it in the hot summer !

mochachoco99

I got a tiny sample of this with another perfume I bought, and this one is very floral, powdery, and musky. Powder and musk seem to be a running theme in terms of accords for Narciso Rodriguez fragrances. This smells exactly like a perfume my mom had a while back, unfortunately I can't remember the name of it. Not bad, but not my cup of tea as I like sweeter, younger fragrances. Good sillage and projection, its pretty strong. The most fitting age range would be late 30s and up.

meg0825

Narciso Rodriguez has done it again! What a luxurious fragrance. I always love the combination of ylang ylang and amber. These notes give fragrances a warm, sunny, and radiant feel. And the powdery fluffy Narciso musk takes it to a whole other level. Tropical frangipani and creamy vanilla add the finishing touches. I can see this becoming my go to summertime scent. Outstanding!

Cherihanei

It’s hard not to notice the yellow flowers in here ! I thought it had mimosas at first. Ambery powdery frangipani ! Vanilla is also quite noticeable. Beautiful creamy cozy and elegant fragrance, it definitely bears the DNA of Narciso Rodriguez. If you already have For Her and their variants i wouldn’t go for this one. However if you’re tired of plain powdery musk, this could add a little spring to your signature Narciso. On my skin, the dryer it becomes, the more powdery it gets, which is a little tiring sometimes or should I say basic/uncomplicated.

Year round, daily scent. Moderate performance, for the price it’s a good deal !

thefrenchie

I wish it lasted longer... I won't buy it just because of that ☹️ Such a great smell. It is the scent I dreamt about my whole life.

mhansatu

Simply the best.

vanillalover81

Its drying reminds me of Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle, I suppose because of its notes of ylang ylang, vanilla, amber and musk. It is very elegant and sensual. It's definitely my 2020/21 scent.

heavenlyflower

tropical, clean, floral, powdery <<< thoughts after initial spray

elegant, luscious, comforting, bright <<< thoughts after dry down

Smelling this I easily picture myself strolling through Saint-Tropez wearing shades, a thin blouse, capris, strappy sandals and a loose ponytail. 😎

Edit: all of the above remains true, however, I've modified my thoughts about Ambree being worth it if one owns other cubes. It truly depends on individual skin chemistry. The way Rouge blossomed into an exquisite masterpiece brimming with sex appeal worn in mid 70's weather had me forgetting Ambree existed! 😍

Ambree is a lovely fragrance worth a chance but I planned to wear it in spring. Will likely end up gifting to a friend.

Longevity ~ 4-6 hours (wish it was longer)

Sillage ~ mild, you may not get many compliments, not bc people don't enjoy it but likely bc they won't smell it unless very close.

diaanz81

NR is a house I find quite challenging but Ambree is one I instantly really, really liked. To me, this is mainly a yellow floral and amber fragrance, in which the signature Narciso musk has been dialed down. The florals in here are bright and somewhat sweet even but it's the amber that elevates it into something special, enveloping the florals in warmth and depth. The notes in the base, cashmeran, cedar and vanilla, only enhance that fuzzy but still very elegant quality. It's light, airy but also warm, deep, and it's this dichotomy that sets it apart from others in this house. This in my opinion is one that will work for all seasons and times of day because of this. Performance I think might not be on par with most other NR fragrances because it sits close to skin but since none of the others from this house work for me, it's not even an issue. I can see how this could possibly be a let down for those who love that strong signature musk but definitely a love for me.

Ajaycheshire

For me,this is a cashmere cardigan enveloping me on a cold day when I need to feel secure classy and comfortable.. This beautiful scent was love at first sniff. Very soft, subtle and unobtrusive, yet beautiful.. This is an extension of a classic, in my mind, much improved. No sourness or bitterness, just softness. Totally inoffensive to be worn practically anywhere anytime. The colour of the bottle matches the scent perfectly. Just beautiful. If you need to blind buy, this would be a safe bet.

I think this perfume fits the worlds mood right now. We all need a big hug and this is it in a bottle

RoseSoul

Sky rocket hopes for this one ... but in the end it is a huge letdown. I really love this house and I appreciate the fact that each one of these pretty little cubes has it's own personality. Plus I love ylang ylang ...

Ambree actually doesn't have a personality. It is, indeed, pretty similar in the drydown with Narciso Poudree Narciso Rodriguez (which is good, because Poudree is my signature). But God! This synthetic note - cashmeran, maybe ?!?! is's kiling me.

So sad, I saved this sample especially for my outfit, a cosy & fluffy yellow sweater.

Thanks for saving me from a nasty blind buy, SailorV!

charloppe

Definitely lighter than other Narciso´s...short lasting on me. Almost immediately got the woody note which is a plus to my taste.

AmoreProfumi

When I tested Ambree I immediately got a familiarity to TF Orchid Soleil.. only this is more subdued and not a screechy, say if your a fan of Soleil you’d like this or if you liked Soleil but wished it a bit lighter then I’d try this.

AlexandraTroush

I find myself craving it almost constantly now. Granted I don't go anywhere special, I just stay home like most of us probably do, but maybe that's precisely why I've been reaching for it so much. There's something very comforting and homely about it, like a mother's hug. I almost feel like crying when I smell it. It smells like I'm not stuck at home, lonely, stressed and depressed. Instead it reminds me of the life before, going out with friends, enjoying the warm wind on my face, sitting at a cafe and watching the sun set and illuminate the central square. I'm getting emotional, y'all. I love this perfume. It didn't seem all that impressive to me when I just got it, but now I absolutely love it and keep coming back to it. I have over 30 perfumes, but this one has been on repeat all the time lately.

Matheya

This is much better and fresher than the red cube ! But I love Yellow flowers ! Roses - not so much !
It's tropical floral but not beachy ,,, it's a serious classy floral. It's not powdery like the others.
The drydown is very pretty ! On my wishlist ! :))

Reminds me of Tom Ford - Orchid Soleil but definitely far better. I don’t get the corn tortilla smell here, fortunately.
It’s a very unique perfume. I think you either love it or hate it.

Oh wow!! Can I share a completely different experience??!

I sprayed this on today in a store (this in one elbow crook, "Narciso for Her EDP" in the other), and after about 45 minutes, this smells DIRE on me!!! I can't even explain it, because I have nothing I can relate it to.

Maybe it's the frangipani? I don't know if I have ever worn that note before..... The side where I sprayed the pink bottle EDP smells amazing--I am actually tempted to go right back and buy the bottle!! But this??! Definitely not!

I am glad everyone else seems to love it, though! :)

***UPDATE***
A friend sent me the remains of her sample vial, so I decided to try it today (because "don't just try a fragrance once", right?!), and I was surprised to find that it was MUCH more agreeable (and similar to other NR scents)!! So, I am guessing that the tester I tried in-store was off. Still not a scent I would buy, but upgraded from "hate", because the fetid smell is no longer there! :)

This is a really pretty summer musk fragrance. The only issue I have with it is that it has pretty weak projection, and the longevity leaves a bit to be desired. I will definitely be using this through summer for something less cloying, but this bottle will likely be my last.

This flanker to me is very very similar to the original Narciso. The original one is sharper in the opening, whereas the Ambrée version is rounder. The dry down I find it is essentially the same.
This is a mature yet modern fragrance and one that any woman can wear. It wears good, projection is moderate.

I'm a little confused. I love NR's scents and they usually last a good while on me, but this one seems so weak compared to its predecessors! I know that some people are anosmic to NR's fragrances and they can barely detect them as is, but I'm not one of them. The only logical explanation is that this is just weak. This is one of those perfumes you'll have to carry in the bag with you and respray several times during the day.

The scent itself is lovely. It's one of those safe fragrances you know will work and will never irritate anybody. It smells quite "professional", it's not a kiddie perfume, and I can't even imagine a younger woman in her 20's wearing this (since I personally always went for the wild and crazy scents when I was that age). I can imagine an elegant office lady wearing this to a meeting.

It evokes a bright image, it's almost solar. I'm really enjoying wearing it now in the autumn, but I wish it lasted for longer.

I don't get this one at all. Where is the plumeria/frangipani and amber?

Bizarre how differently people can perceive the same fragrance.

This perfume melts into my skin gorgeously and naturally. It’s a gentle musky clean laundry smell mixed with warm amber and cedar notes. It’s clean (but not in a soapy way) and yet cozy smelling at the same time. It’s effortless and inviting. I sprayed some on my clothing and I can still smell the perfume on my top a few days later. It’s rich and fresh and soft all at once. I can see myself wearing this during all seasons, morning and evening. It’s versatile.

EDIT: Although I can see myself wearing this during all seasons, I definitely feel like this perfume is leaning more towards the perfect, no-fuss daily autumn scent because of that warm, woody and comforting cedar note coming through. It evokes a feeling in me of being wrapped up in a thick, freshly washed fleece blanket by the fireplace, sipping on a hot coffee or apple cider. Coziness galore! Wow! Stunning fragrance, indeed.

Narciso Rodriguez is a master, tell me something new you would tell. I won't and I can't explain how he perfects musk nowadays, you have to experience it on your own and yes, you can be anosmic to it if before you have smelled so many perfumes.

The idea behind Narciso's musks is a skin that smells naturally beautiful, like you've just had a shower and you feel your skin clean and 'sweet'. (I know this isn't the right word but everyone has a specific smell that makes us unique) Also, I understand all of you comparing it to Poudree. Yes, they do share similar vibes/sillage/not lasting power though. I am from those who don't believe in perfumes matching seasons, but Ambree is 99,9% summer in a bottle!

In a few words, It's a sunkissed skin after sunbathing or reapplying your creamy sun lotion after your bath in the sea. I am not going to tell you I detect frangipani, ylang-ylang, vanilla or the classic Narciso's musk, but I can assure you that this cube is going to bring summer to your heart. Don't expect an wow reaction, nor compliments. I already have choosen my favorite and it's the EDP (white cube) I can't just don't tell how good is Rouge too (red cube) but Ambree isn't something is missing from my life & collection. It's definitely from the perfumes you wear to please yourself and only and that accidentally you're getting addicted to them without understanding why.

Marron glacé with frangipani. Powdery, woody, velvety and easy to wear even at the office. It smells like a soft warm autumn sunset. As it dries down, it gets less powdery, and Marron glacé shows its nutty side. Cozy like a second skin. You can sleep and cuddle in this goodness. Wake up in its hug on an sunny autumn Sunday afternoon. It is not as intoxicating as Malachite Rouge for example, but Narciso is velvety and ambery too and this makes it very versatile in terms of consumers and occasions. Not as loud either. Unexpectedly, with a drop of the original YSL Opium EDP, it gets spiced up with this little something that made my husband pay attention to it and comment and take another interested whiff, after considering it just "nice" the first time he smelt it as is. If you are into darker richer deeper experience, layering narciso ambree can help you enjoy it long after the summer, far into the cold autumn and maybe even winter ...

It's such a beautiful warm scent! I love it! It's joyful. And I feel like I'm surrounded by peaches with this one.
