This is interesting because it starts minty? It has a strong menthol vibe in the opening then becomes creamy. Not my favourite but I find it better than other Narciso perfumes.

I'm in love with this one ! Summer getting lots of compliments. But I'm spraying quite lots & always spraying every 3 hours to keep it on. Beautiful smell, men loving!

I've had it since it first came out but for some reason I rarely reach for it although I love it. I think I have too many perfumes and gravitate towards the newer ones. More recently I had the idea of spraying Pure Musk on a piece of tissue paper and putting them inside my closet because for me it smells so much like clean laundry, and I am really loving that use. i have yet to find my signature scent, but if I had to choose one, it would be this.

it smells cold, fresh, slightly sweet, musky (but not animalic or sour in any way), well-rounded, smooth and just pure.

it smells like the bottle and the name.
imagine the colour white, a swan, a clean bed white crisp white sheets by an open window and lots of sunlight and cool breeze.

I reviewed this last year, but wanted to give my updated opinion. I didn’t understand it at all initially and thought it smelled like bug spray. I kept going back though, and one day I realised it had crept up on me and I’d fallen in love with the gorgeous, woody white musk. This is one of my husbands favourites on me too. I’ve almost finished my 50ml and have repurchased in the 150ml size. I plan to never run out.

I am indecisive with this one. Used up a small factory sample years ago and I loved it. But never desired to buy a full bottle, and now I sprayed again in a store and can't get enough of it. So linear, simple and familiar - in the most positive way. Comforting and very feminine. I can only talk positively and yet, still don't know if I should buy because I am afraid I could get tired of it easily.

Decided to revisit this scent years later.
Years ago I was newer to the fragrance world and I heard it smelled clean , but I remember I got a patchouli like note in it and found it mature.
Now , I don’t get patchouli but I do get a bit of a rubbery ylang ylang in the beginning. It Deff disappears and develops so nicely on skin and then the fluffy musk shines.

Upon first spraying, this perfume reminds me of Alien Mugler for some reason. Although the notes are different, it feels like a more refined version that is less unconventional and more sophisticated. Alien Mugler seems like the edgier sibling of this perfume to me. I detect a subtle sourness in both. Nonetheless, this fragrance is well-suited for the office environment. It exudes a vibe reminiscent of a fancy hotel lobby to me. The scent is pleasant from a distance, but up close (in the beginning), it leans a bit too animalistic for my taste.

However, an hour or two later, my skin transforms this scent into something less musky and more balanced musk and floral, which I find to be a positive change as the musk can sometimes be overpowering and disrupt the balance.

I am in love with this perfume. The musk here is absolutely done to perfection. This is such a cozy yet uplifting scent. It is very versatile and feminine in my opinion. It makes me feel very clean and pretty and delicate. I would not necessarily call it as a sexy perfume but rather it is has very luxurious kind of scent. The only musk i like are this and initio’s musk therapy. A masterpiece by narciso.
P.s. I will definitely buy another bottle when i run out.

No. Just no. I am a huge musk lover, and this doesn't tick any boxes for me. On the opposite, the musk is buried under clawing, lingering, overly sweet, white floral notes. On paper, it smells great, with much more freshness, uniqueness, and complexity. But on my skin, it quickly turns into a very generic scent. I had to wash it off as soon as I came home after trying it on. Having heard so many great reviews about it, I had high expectations and they weren't even close to being met, which is a shame because I thought I would fall in love with this fragrance!

I love this, very interesting scent! This is my most favorite among the Narciso for her line. Its elegant, fierce and edgy. It stays long on my skin and clothes... even if its inside the laundry bin for a day.

honestly think it smells like an expensive sports car with leather seats lol. I think it's a question of taste-- I am simply not the biggest fan of extremely musky smells and (unsurprisingly) this perfume smells very musky. also somewhat flowery. I do think it could be a perfect fit for another woman.

It is feminine, womanly, cozy, clean, absolutely classy and wonderful! It last really long and is the best out of all of Narciso fragrances. I also love poudree and rouge and for her edp. If you love powdery floral this is a must have.
I agree with the laundry feeling, but more luxurious. Ultra feminine but not girly. This is for a woman, a motherly figure and elegant lady.

Musky, flowery and cozy without a hint of sweetness. Very much a crisp clean laundry feeling. Hard to pick out any specific flower though, which unfortunately gives off a slightly 'generic flower perfume' impression and makes it lean more into the laundry detergent area and less so a musky floral. But still, it will be a really good fragrance for the lovers of musky, clean-out-the-shower scents. My biggest problem is the longevity; this does not last very long. Intimate projection for this type of scent is expected, poor longevity is not.

My mother worked in surgery for years, she smelled similar after work. Her soap, lotion, powder, perfume having dried down, mixed with the chemical (in a good way) smell of disinfectants and general very clean, sterile smell of a private clinic. Milky and creamy, can't point out a single floral element separately, cozy, calming, great for going to bed, to spray on after shower, or on days you want to give your nose a break from perfumes, not soapy or powdery on me although pairs well with my talcum powders, suitable for spring and summer, white outfit vibes, unisex in my opinion, as someone mentioned below not sweet or sexy, not fresh, not young, just comforting, cloudy, fluffy, similar to a warm motherly hug. only use on clean freshly washed skin, becomes a bit much on musty skin.

it’s so light, fresh, cozy, clean. Signature parfume for sure, easy everyday grab. Such an inoffensive and neutral scent, no sweetness, no harsh notes, just a little bit of musk, little bit flowery. For someone who doesn’t want to seem trying so hard, yet still wants to make an impression. Lasts good 6 hours. I think it will be great for layering:)

The floral notes listed here are actually orange blossom, jasmine and ylang ylang according to the Narciso Rodriguez website. For me, that makes this fragrance a big no. It does smell clean and would probably be refreshing after a shower. Just beware if you don't enjoy white florals like myself.

My favorite musk so far! Clean, airy, and slightly floral. I love using it alone or as a base paired with Vanilla 28 or Angel Share. A staple for sure for girls who like to layer.

I tried this at the store couple of times and really liked it, especially the drydown mmm so lotiony and cosy and calming, and i just got it yesterday and i feel like its way weaker, no projection at all and not lasting compared to the tester at store , i barely smell the drydown... Does this need to age a bit maybe? I checked the batch and its 1 year and 6 months old

When i sprayed it on at tge shop i found it to snell very mature. Like a milky version of a chanel perfume. Now 5 hours later its smells very warm and cosy and a little powdery. I wish it smelled like the drydown from the start. I would definetly get it if that was the case cause its gorgeouse but too mature at the opening.. hmm ill try again and think about it. Love the packaging tho im pretty sure this would layer beautifully with vanilla 28

This is one of the most beautiful perfumes out there and definitely my favourite from Narciso. It's so pure, clean, classy, without being snobby. I always feel put together when I wear it. However it's for more mature ladies, 30+.

I agree with people saying it smells dirty somehow. Yes, this scent is very soapy and powdery and you get a hint for florals too, but something smells off... Smells like a bathroom full of mold. I don't recommend a blind buy, test on your skin first! Maybe you'll be luckier than me and get a nice clean soapy smell instead :)

It's very clean and soapy. I like soapy, muscy scents soI enjoy this. But there is maybe something off in it. Like maybe it's a bit simple, and after a while it gets a bit annoying smelling this.
But if u like soapy, clean perfumes u will probably like this.

The musk in this smells dirty

My favorite clean girl scent. I first wore this on a summer vacation a few years ago and it still reminds me of those warm summer nights, shower after the whole day on the beach, a pretty white dress and skin still warm from the sun, getting ready for drinks and dinner. It's not sweet or sexy to my nose, it's clean, innocent, your skin but better. I use it alone during the summer and for layering with other scents during colder months or just a spritz before going to bed. I always have a 100ml bottle at hand. I have gotten so many compliments wearing this.

Perfection. All time favourite. Don’t want to live without it. It’s gorgeous. Stunning. Smooth creamy clean floral musk. Very hard to describe but someone mentioned if an angel from heaven would flap her wings, the waft from that smells like this perfume. Perfect description. 😍 It smells like unconditional love. Went trough multiple bottles in the past years.
As for performance, it lasts all day, it’s not projecting much but it’s definitely there and leaves a trail. I think this is one to easily get a little nose blind to during the day. When I spray this on clothes it lasts untill I wash them.
It’s so hard to come by nowadays, the bigger bottles are constantly sold out.
Let’s just speak into existence that is bc it’s highly loved and sells so well, therefore they will never ever discontinue this fragrance!

Blind bought this one because I got obsessed w skin musks and found it really cheap on ebay. I was expecting it to be warmer or something, I really prefer musc noir for her. Does anyone else think Pure Musc is almost exactly like Another 13? It's kind of uncanny

The fragrance is pure and clear, like the white feathers of an angel falling from the air. But the longevity is so bad, I can't smell it clearly after 2-3 hours. Unfortunately, this one was a disappointment for me.

I just got a little sample of this. Let me first get out of the way that I'm not the biggest fan of musk, don't mind it, but don't really go wild for it.

That being said, this is just really nice, isn't it? For me it kind of conjures up images of 90s fabric softener or wool detergent ads, where they would often have some lady cuddling up in her pristine cashmere sweater, or some white kitten walking unbearably cute over a big white warm blanket, or a mom and her kids hugging in fresh white clothes. Those are the vibes I'm getting.

A very clean cozy fluffy musk with the quietest of floral undertones. It's the perfect clean girl/woman scent. I see this fitting with any season, any time of the day. Real staple potential. Not sure what to wear today? You won't go wrong reaching for this. That way it has great potential as a gifting option.

As for performance, this does give a scent bubble and close to the skin it lasts very decently. On your clothes it'll stick until you wash them.

Me not being a 'musk' kind of girl I don't think I would pick this up at full price, but if there's a very good offer I'll add this to my collection.

So beautiful clean florals and musk. Delicate and tender, fluffy and very innocent yet seductive. Scent of an angel. Scent of a hope. Scent of the bright future. It’s like opening your eyes in the morning when the sun is shining through the window. You have your beautiful lingerie on, you put your soft slides on and the softest luxurious long cashmere cardigan which you have. It’s a cozy hug with very relaxing breeze.

Pure Musk is not soapy neither powdery. It is “transparent” compared to cubes (Poudree and Rouge) which are creamy with richer texture.

My signature scent. Clean and lightly feminine, but seductive. Can wear it anywhere, anytime, for any occasion. I can't imagine ever getting tired of it.

This scent makes my eyes roll back in my head, it gives me goosebumps, it warms my tummy with contentment and joy. Wearing it is like donning flannel jammies on a snow day and cuddling up next to a fire to read a book. It is cozy comfort in a bottle. You have to love musk to wear it, yes. But it is a feminine, delicate, and beautiful type of musk. Oh I love it!

Tested this for months frequently and decided that I absolutely can't live without this😍 stays forever on clothes and a very impressive amount on skin too. This is exactly the heavenly creamy cozy scent I've been looking for! I initially overlooked this one and got the black flanker. I do love that one too, but this one is on another level. If I was to have a signature scent, it might beco this one.
I had to emergency buy this (I usually wait and hunt for a deal) but it's been sold out and low in stock for a long time! I'm scared they might discontinue😭 I truly hope not, but at least I have my one 30ml (it was the only available size at my local department store).

I have been using this perfume after my shower and hot yoga in the evenings and its the most beautiful fragrance when you are in a recovery space.

I have access to pure musc absolute here in a shop close buy - although I cant test it i think I will blind buy that flanker and try it too.

I needed some time to get used to this, but I'm in love. It's lovely to wear on it's own, if you love musk at least, but I also really like layering it to give other fragrances that little extra.

Not bad. It feels familiar to me, although I can't pinpoint which fragrance. It feels a little too simple for me, but perhaps it's precisely this simplicity that makes it so effortless and easy to wear. Longevity is bad though, gone in 1 or 2 hours, then becomes skin scent.

This went on really really sour on my skin for some reason. It was like someone mixed vinegar and laundry detergent together. I know it’s not the norm for everyone but I was surprised at how sour it was

SO GOOD! Its my daily rider as its calm and inoffensive. As a cashmere scent, people are still able to smell me from a distance (though I am an oversprayer). Would panic buy when discontinued.

i am addicted to spraying it non stop but especially on my pillows before i go to sleep it’s very non invasive like others have said a nice cashmere hug but it just does not have the projection i would expect from an expensive perfume

I really like this one, I find it enigmatic since I am not able to detect any particular note. At least nothing organic going on. I would describe it as salty, clean and moderately sweet. Yes, sea salt and some undefined sweet scent, not the classic musk which I usually don’t like. Very good performance as well but not a safe blind buy imho

Smells strongly of lilies to me, both on myself and others. Luckily I do enjoy a straight, clean lily scent every once in a while.

A fruggin masterpiece. Extremely musky and a bit of spice. This lasts all day, very clean and fresh, you can wear it to bed or to the office, get tons of compliments. You smell freshly showered all day. Love it in summer.

One of my favorite perfumes. Definitely musky in a woody floral way. Perfect out of the shower fragrance. It smells fresh but comforting like a cashmere sweater. To me it has a coolness about it thats almost medicinal.

This is a beautiful, light, clean scent which is reminiscent of clean laundry and fresh morning air.

For me it lasts 4-5 hours before it’s no longer there but others may find it lasts longer with their chemistry.

starts off very sharp and just the slightest bit offensive (metallic, animalic/dirty musk), but it quickly calms to a cool, clean, and luxuriously fresh fluffy smell on my skin. it's a gorgeously feminine scent that dries musky (ofc), fresh, sweet, and creamy...very pure but earthy enough to be sexy. it's not a skin scent per se but it does sit quite close. this serves a very specific purpose to me - it is a "girlfriend" scent - not interesting or eye (nose?) catching enough to be a first date or party frag, so put this down if you want to turn heads. instead, it's alluring in a familiar, cozy sense. put this on and you will smell soft and warm and fleshy, irresistible the way a bed where the woman you love is sleeping soundly is. tl;dr she's gorg!

Overall this is a fresh floral musk- very clean smelling. I would classify this as a "fresh out of the shower" type of scent but this is more linear with better lasting power (8 hours). You have to be careful with overapplying because this can be sharp in the opening if you go overboard. I cant place my finger on it exactly but it’s just not as pleasant as some of the other musks I’ve been trying. I think the fresh florals stand out too much on my skin for my preferences? I don’t get any powder or creamy aspect on my skin. I do think this is worth a test though if you are looking for a clean/fresh musk.

I don't understand how some people are smelling powder in this. I just smell laundry clean musk and flowers. It almost has a "wet musky" vibe to it while still remaining light and uplifting. It might be simple, but its not boring at all. It also lasts forever on me and has great projection. I wore this on a humid sumemr evening, and it works perfectly in the humidity.

I find Musc noir to be wayyy more musky than this. On my skin its straight up florals with no creaminess. Strange because I thought this was going to overly musc or something reminiscent of Divan white musk or all the white musks from yester year and times gone by. Its not a bad perfume by any account, in fact its quite fresh. Sadly wont be repurchasing only because I think it hoodwinked me with the name 😂

Was my signature scent for years, its just amazing. It smells very expensive, VERY SOPHISTICATED, very charming and very clean. Very unique as well. It feels as if you wore an expensive cashmere white scarf around you. It smells exactly like how the bottle looks. I get some florals, but not in a a very ordinary or cheap way. I do however believe that it has to suit to your ph, and your own skin, so I would suggest to not blind buy it. Amazing creation overall. I adore almost every single perfume from Sonia Constant, she is so elegant and unique.

I keep trying this one over and over, after today I've decided that it's too harsh and white floral on me. Too bad, because I really wanted to love it like some of the other reviews.

22 Orris for me is a softer, powdery, comfort smell that does what I wish pure musc would do for me.

Exactly like the 1$ milky musk oil sold in all over Asia. So if you have it at home, getting this is absolutely redundant. I find this a little bit fresher though.

Soaaaaapy musk. Could be too overpowering as it strikes with a huge bouquet of lilies of the valley at a first spray. Then the scent calms down and till fades it feels like an indistinctive mix of fresh spring flowers covered with dew. It's okay but it is neither my favourite Rodriguez fragrance nor the best musk.
P.S. Was thinking about what it me reminds of - Tres French by Teo Cabanel. Almost the same soliflore of lily of the valley

Omg all these reviews are a lie!!!this smells exactly like a cheap citrusy bathroom cleaner , I thought this would be a beautiful musky scent but it’s soooo horrible I didn’t expect it to be this bad as I’ve used the other narcisso for hee also this was so bad , pls don’t waste your money , straight up bathroom cleaner 🤮

I love love love this! Very feminine floral, soft and super sexy musk. She might seems pure and innocent, but she has her sensual, soft and even cheeky side. A good everyday scent for you to really tune into your feminine self.

I used to be a bit biased when it came to fragrances containing musk, just because it is such an obnoxiously dominant scent that tends to overpower anything else, if not used in the right proportions. This fragrance was a very pleasant surprise; It is very musky, of course, but balanced and very well rounded by cashmeran and floral notes. It is deep and sensual, yet clean and sharp. Very captivating, almost pheromone-like. Feels like fresh sheets rubbed on someone you really love.

Tested this out for a couple days and I don’t know if something was wrong with my sample specifically but this scent, although bautiful, has the worst longevity. Less than 30 minutes after spraying it on my wrist it was gone. Then I tried it directly on myself and my clothes and same thing, half an hour later - nothing. Very disappointing because it’s a beautiful fresh musk, one of the few that I don’t find too cloying.

I didn't expect to like this as much as I do! I have a sample of this & been trying it out these past few days. I must say when I first smelled it straight out of the bottle it put me off & even on paper I didn't like it much, however, the dry-down was quite pleasant so I wanted to give it a chance. It is so much better on the skin and clothes for me! It is a very lovely pure musk, just as the name says. The bottle is also a good representation of the scent. It is not a very complicated scent but it is really pretty and good for everyday, office-friendly. It doesn't last super long, it is more of an intimate scent but a pleasant scent bubble surrounds you. Not yet sure if I wanna buy a bottle, I wanna try out the other NR scents as well, but I can see myself having a travel size or 30ml. Really pleasant surprise. 🤍

This is the loveliest musk I’ve ever smelled. It’s my favorite musk (2nd favorite is Montale White Musk) and a solid love. Clean, feminine, refined and soothing. Pure and innocent yet sensual. I will always have the 5oz bottle in my wardrobe so I can spray it on with wild abandon anytime I want, it is never overpowering, always polite, but I can smell it on myself the entire day when I overspray. Perfectly moderate sillage, good performance, very easy and comfortable to wear in any situation. Though this is a clean scent, it is not a freshie type of scent for hot days outdoors. I don’t know what the florals are, but I do sense lilac in this, floating on a serene cloud of musk, and I love the soft and fuzzy cashmeran note. The only Narciso Rodriguez perfume I love. I used to have the light pink ‘for her’ EdP, it’s nice enough, and I used it up, but I never really grew beyond just liking it…this on the other hand, there is something exquisite and addictive about it…they smell fantastic together though! I recommend layering the two fragrances if one of them starts to bore you.

I will always buy this scent. Wear this on a walk with m&s plum blossom and thank me later it is fresh and musky and you get a beautiful scent bubble 😩🤍

I was hoping for the signature Narciso Rodriguez clean musk to come through but unfortunately it’s pulling way too floral on me. And it’s not anything distinct, just nondescript pink floral accord. So far, the EDT is the front runner in the For Her collection.

One of my most successful blind buy's ever. It smells so clean, but at the same time smooth, not screechy at all like with a lot of fresher scents. A great layering fragrance as well as on it's own, suitable for most occasions. Fairly long lasting for such a soft scent, and I definitely smell myself throughout the day. I hope this is never discontinued.

At first I didn‘t like it, then I did. It was my first musky scent and the name fits the scent, it is the purest of musks that I own, it sits very close to my skin and disappears very quickly on me. It is a skin scent and I believe it is very close to my own skin which might be why I don‘t smell it fot a long time. I pinned it against my other musks and it is nice but again, so pure it just disappears.

This became my signature scent the second I smelled it for the first time. This is the perfect "your skin but better" perfume. I can wear this anywhere as many sprays I want and it won't disturb anyone. It smells like clean warm skin after an "everything shower". It works every season regardless of weather or occasion. I have to mention that this might to be the best fit for a night out scent but it's perfect for all the daytime activities.

This is so clean, so comforting, a beautiful cashmere sweater. A perfect office fragrance!

This has been my favorite for 3 years. Cozy and sophisticated musk. I don’t get much florals, just plain, warm, fluffy musk, like a cloud. The opening is a little aggressive and sharp but warms up with my skin so well, so I like to apply 15 mins before leaving the house. Longevity is great on me, 12 hours in and I can still get whiffs of it.

Bright, fresh, fuzzy, cozy musk. Truly one of the best simple musks I have ever tried. I think this may be a lifer for me. It’s so clean and pleasant. The floral note is present but offers a nice brightness. I’d say this is unisex leaning feminine. The value is good for the larger bottle in my opinion. I over spray the crap out of this and get moderate projection and sillage. That lasts a good 8+ hours. It’s tied for my favorite musk with Musk 12 by Kayali.

This is "make your own Narciso" prime material!!! Just that delicious musky base which you can wear as is or combine with ANYTHING. I LOVE musks and this is the best musk everrrr; layer with citrusy scents for extra longevity, layer with a gourmand to give it another layer of complexity, layer with another musk to make it musk², wear it as it is on the day of your wedding! the possibilities are endless

Absolutely unisex too, if they had marketed this as what it actually is: their signature unisex musk base, this would garner even more attention 100% for sure.

I'll wait till I can find it discounted and purchase it to try to mix with other stuff to get something like my precious Narciso for him EDT. Try it at least once please, you won't regret it ❤️❤️❤️

Not full bottle worthy for me, as I prefer either soapy laundry detergent musk or ugly dirty animalistic musk. This is neither.

I was really curious to smell Pure Musc well, because, although I direct my purchases towards niche fragrances, I consider it one of those perfumes that, at least in my area, are more successful. It is a slightly flowery blend, which certainly gives a clean sensation with a good dose of creaminess and sweetness. It is pleasant, wearable on any occasion and season, undemanding. Good and classy.

I met Pure Musc when my cousin was wearing it and I immediately fell in love! Got myself a bottle and this is my first Narciso ever.

When wearing it I feel innocent, clean. The scent might be “typical musk” to some people but no, its not. Pure Musc is perfectly blended with cashmeran and florals which makes it also sexy and elegant. I can not believe how it is so simple but also complex. 🖤

Starts off with a minty, medicinal smell. Turns into a clean white bouquet scent rather quickly. I can detect there's a cooling undertone lying beneath the flowers, and then the powder comes in, which can be quite powerful in the beginning, almost like you're dipping your face into a big fluffy cloud. Took a while for it to calm down and stabilize. I get that innocent angelic vibe from the pure softness of this powder. It's airy, clean, and super lightweight. When the scent starts hitting dry down, the powder subsides whereas the true musk emerges. It's more of a... intimate and sensual kind of musk to me. It smells warmer and creamier than the powder from before, and it stays closer to the skin, remaining low to average projection all the way until the end.

Although the notes listing looks simple, that doesn’t necessarily mean the scent will be linear. It develops on me. From a happy-go-lucky gal to a naturally alluring woman. Such duality is quite interesting. Also everything is well blended here. From half way on you can’t really separate each note as they all melt together in harmony.

In summary, the first half is bright and clean while the second half is creamy and sensual. I can't decide whether this is an innocent or a sophisticated scent. It has a little bit of everything. Maybe that duality is the essence of femininity that Sonia Constant wants me to experience, or, logically speaking, depends on your own chemistry. It will smell cleaner and lighter for sure if you get more floral notes on your skin, but in my case, musk is waaaaaay more prominent than anything else in most of the time. I can barely even detect any flower in the dry down.

Pure musc is weird. It needs heat to be activated. On paper strip it only lasts for about 1.5 hours, while on my actual skin it lasts up to 5 hours with just 1 spritz. (2 to 3 hours of normal projection and remains skin scent for the rest)

You have to like musk to appreciate pure musc, there's no doubt for that. It’s a casual scent that works well for most seasons and occasions. However I am not going to wear it as an everyday scent. Maybe once every few days max. Being amidst this milky scent everyday is a bit too much for me. I am not saying it’s heavy by any means. It’s just that I am really sensitive to smell and it’s like milkshake is good but you don’t want to have that everyday, if that makes sense.

It's my first day trying on pure musc and I am giving it more time to see if it will grow on me so I might change my opinion in the future.

I am wearing this today for the first time, I got a 5ml sample and it's quite enjoyable. It's a very "get things done" kind of smell, really good for the gym for me (though I should ask my friends how strongly they smell it so I don't bother people at the gym with it).
It's clean, fresh, quite simple and straightforward.

Pure musc should be called Pure tuberose because that is all I can smell. I feel disappointed when a perfume is named with a note that you cant smell at all. Where is the musc?

today i'm wearing pure musk for her (NR) and as soon as i came back to my office (very small space where i work by myself) from a meeting, there was a beautiful fresh crisp fragrance lingering, and it immediately reminded me of soleil neige. i found them very similar in the sillage! that aside, this is a perfume which smells much nicer in the air than on skin if sniffed directly.

My all time favorite! I fell in love with it when I smelled it one some old woman at the restaurant I worked a while ago.
So many people think that this is grand ma scent, but to me it’s the most creamiest, softest florals and musk there’s. (I’m a huge fan of musk especially of Narciso Rodriguez)
The final scent on the skin really depends on each person chemistry. On me musk plays great and overall it’s very creamy and even a little bit sweet from all the creaminess. But on my best friend this fragrance it’s a big no. So test it before!
(For me earthy mixed with citrus/rose scents are a disaster)

I am a bit disappointed by this. The original ‘For Her’ took a while to grow on me, at times on others it was too harsh but the dry down is a delight. Pure Musc seems to me to be quite harsh all the way through. I was waiting for a softness that doesn’t really appear. I have a small sized bottle so I will give it another go. I also purchased Musc Noir which for me is a much nicer, cleaner scent with a hint of sweetness. I thought Pure Musc could be added to my rota of clean scents but sadly it’s screechy on me.

My boyfriend is using it, he is also using many other perfumes(versace blue something, tiffany, jimmy choo, dyptique etc) , only I asked what perfume is that when he put on this narciso pure musc for her, only this one I felt melty.. so I kept it :) the perfume is mine now lol

I got a tester of this and still not really sure how I feel. The opening is so heavy even with light spraying, but the dry down is soft and clean. I don’t get a lot of musk, mostly floral on my skin. I love musk, but this isn’t exactly what I wanted.

Oh my God, as soon as I smelled it, it reminded me of a fragrance that was sold with a Barbie in the 80s, and I had completely forgotten about it! It develops differently on the skin, but I swear, smelling the bottle, the fragrance was identical!

Unfortunately, on my skin, after the heart notes fade away, there remains a sort of "deodorant" scent and the smell of sweat. That's why I only use it on my clothes, but just one spray, if I use more, this awful smell reappears... what a sham

This perfume gives me a headache. I can appreciate it on others, from a distance, but on me it becomes far too strong.

There is something comforting about the smell after a few hours. It doesn't smell like a typical perfume but more just like a person who smells good. Unfortunately it takes too long to get there and it's not worth it for me.

I am a big fan of strong white musk fragrances. I assume that 'sharp' musk many are talking about below is actually something I adore and look for in fragrances.
I hoped this fragrance would be a softer version of that, just to add some variety to my collection of musk fragrances.

This is more of a cold “minty” musk than an animalic musk.

Sadly, this is giving almost nothing... Projection is almost nothing, sillage is almost nothing. I have to HEAVILY over-spray this to get any kind of performance.

I finished a 10 ml decant within a week... (that's about 15 sprays each day).

If you hate musk, you could give this a try though.
If you love sharp animalic musk, this might not be for you, because it might not be as powerful as you would like.

This smells like if you stuck your head in a commercial dryer. Heavy but clean. It has a beautifully sophisticated feel to it but it is kind of austere to me. To add a bit of flirtiness I like to later it with the Kim Kardashian perfume in the round black bottle (sensual, creamy gardenia).

Not much more to say than if you like musk this is the scent for you! Me personally, musk isn’t my favorite, so I wouldn’t buy a bottle. It definitely has a mature feel. But it’s a nice floral musk for people who like that sort of thing.

I am not good in describing fragrances but I'll try.

Story time:
Honestly, when I first tried this I did not liked it much, then as time passed by I was smelling something so gorgeous and I was wondering where it came from. The smell came from my coat where I sprayed it! it was a very clean, fresh, floral musky scent that I smelled. Then I knew that I had to buy a full bottle of this precious liquid.

This is such a nice, clean and comforting scent. It does not smell like a laundry detergent or so but it does remind me a little of laundry 'day'. You will feel comforted within your own skin, feel yourself clean and present. This works so good after a shower and then douse yourself in this comforting precious liquid. In the opening it is a tiny, (with the emphasis on a tiny) animalic and sharp because of the musc. I think that this was the dislike at first for me, but now I appreciate it and love it, also because of the dry down (powdery, musky, floral and a little woodye). Interesting how olfactory senses and judgement can change over time..

On skin it lasts around 3-4 hours, but on clothing 8+
You can't go wrong with this fragrance, it is suitable for any season. It is also great for layering! It is definitely an everyday scent and a compliment getter as well! I as a person love this and believe me, the people around you will love is as well. You will smell like a pure clean person who people want to be surrounded with.

This is not a true musk fragrance for me it’s a very generic scent and slightly sickly honestly you would be better off with body shop musk for half the price I wear kiehls original musk it’s nowhere near that kind of musk

I keep going back to the shop to test this but every time they insist on putting it on a strip, which makes it smell like bug spray to me 😕 normally I’d lose interest immediately, but something keeps pulling me back, and it’s not hype, I only heard of it recently. I think I’m going to have to get a sample and try it at home, because I need to know if it’s just my nose or if it just doesn’t like being sprayed on cardboard - I almost feel like it’s offended! I want the beautiful dry down that others are describing.

EDIT: 5 June 23 - I tried again today and didn’t get any bug spray vibes at all, it’s definitely grown on me. I can’t stop smelling my hand.

EDIT 2: 6 June 23 - Went back this morning and bought a 50ml bottle. Utterly obsessed. Definitely try this on skin not card, it’s an entirely different experience.

I guess wearing my beloved Crystal Noir was breaking my heart to unbearable point and quite frankly I’ve bought Pure Musk just to move the fuck on and stop crying every day. Plus I’ve passed all exams and I was starting my first practice with small kids, so I didn’t want to wear heavy metal florals. It had to be something light and clean. And it worked. It’s ok. A bit too flat, easy to overspray, longevity and sillage aren’t groundbreaking, I can’t smell it after few hours, but maybe it’s just me. I’ve bought 150 ml, overly optimistic assuming that I’ll feel in love with it, but no. Months later I can easily say: this is my last Narciso. I love the brand, but somehow they just don’t work very well on me. Lucky you if they work on you.

Writing yet another review on my signature scent! This time I ordered a bottle from Macys.com. I got a batch code that was only 4 months old! This bottle smells even better, and scent lasts longer, than my previous bottles. Before this, the codes I was getting were already 1-2 years old.

I sprayed this in the morning, went for a 3 hour hike in the windy woods, and then went to get lunch. I really couldn't smell it on myself anymore, and assumed I smelled like 'outside.' A man standing across from me in the store kept commenting how good I smelled! This new bottle has lasting power!

The next day I was checking in to my doctor's appt. I heard the receptionist whisper to herself "it smells like my childhood." I asked if she was talking about me. She responded, "oh..it is you!" We must have been around the same age, because we both said it reminded us of our 80s childhood. I've seen other reviewers say this also. One person said it smelled like their barbie bubble bath, but I did not have that. It was driving us crazy trying to figure it out. Anyway, she couldn't believe how good I smelled and had me write the name of the perfume down.

There are notes in here that I am in love with that I cannot decipher, or describe. Narciso Rodriguez is not forthcoming with the information either. I wish I knew.

This is a one of a kind, gorgeous scent! Elegant, clean, delicious, bright! Lasts on clothes for days. It is luxurious and creamy. I cant stop smelling myself or my clothes, and I've been wearing it for 2 years now. I will wear this forever and never tire of it. Appropriate for all occasions. Inoffensive. You will be asked by both men and women what you are wearing. Addictive! 10 out of 10!

For any Queensland (specifically Gold Coast) residents… this perfume smells identical to one of the landscapes on the Sky Voyager ride at Dreamworld. I am weirdly into it 😂

I can’t help but write a second review on this fragrance. I literally cannot stop using this. I own so many fragrances. The cheap, the expensive. This is the ONLY fragrance that I can use without ever getting bored. I literally never stop loving this and I’ve had it for almost 3 years. I feel so clean and put together whenever I use this one. Best musc out there. Not too floral, not too powdery, just perfect. Everytime I rate my fragrances with my husband he always tells me this is the best one out of all. He LOVES this. It’s so comforting. If I could only keep ONE, THIS would be IT. I love it to death. It’s interesting cause this gives sexy, innocent, cute, clean, comforting - everything.

This is so disappointing. It’s softer on paper, but extremely floral on my skin. I’m not picking up on any musk. I guess I didn’t realize what this scent is about. It’s neither powdery nor warm. It’s like a cheap floral detergent. It might be a scrubber. Bummer because I usually love musk scents.

Update: After a couple of hours, I do like the dry down of this fragrance. I’ll try it again and see what I think then. Fortunately, I only bought a decant.

I find this scent very pleasant and comforting, what I'd call my dumb reach; for that reason, it probably could be a signature scent because it's perfect for humid hot weather. It instantly refreshes me when I smell it. It also has surprisingly good sillage on me, because most perfumes I've tried don't have much of a scent trail. When I enter my airconditioned office, my staff could smell the perfume right away and I receive compliments whenever I wear this. It's nice to get compliments, of course, but I wear this for the clean, refreshing, gently floral musky scent that feels like a nice hug.

Ah, what a beautiful and clean fragrance, I just keep coming back to it! Musk here is fresh, very animalic with a hint of flowers, not a cozy musk that sometimes gives you light coconut/orange blossom fluffiness you often find in other fragrances. There is zero sweetness. Pure Musc is effortlessly classy yet alluring. Natural clean skin, spotless white clothes. It even has some dewy quality to it. The white minimalistic bottle suits it so well. The scent is minimalistic but not simple, it's more so refined. All the notes are so well blended here that you can't separate them. It's also perfectly unisex in my opinion. It can be perceived as extremely feminine, but would also work just as well on everybody else. Because smelling just clean and fresh fits anybody haha If a man smelled like like Pure Musc I'd be pleasantly impressed. Longevity is pretty good, projection is average- doesn't fill a room but leaves a trail from a couple feet away.

A white shirt, jeans, minimalistic silver jewelry, natural makeup. This is a scent when you want to keep it simple but classy. Minimalistic, natural, clean and seductive.
This is not my favourite scent, I love the Narciso cubes and Musc Noir, but sometimes this one is just the perfect choice for a spring day.

It is so elegant. Like an angel. Beautiful, you can hear her although she is not screaming. Mellow musk and the durability is awesome. Almost like motherhood. Nurturing and loving. Can be sexy when mixed with your skin after the dry down. So simple, clean yet so complex. Fullsize, here I come.

Really nice, clean everyday perfume. Musc with floral touches, bottle really suits the scent.

This is a wonderful fragrance! The bottle makes it look so generic. It deserves a prettier bottle. Mood uplifting, perfect after a shower and daytime. Love it. Need to re-spray once or twice during the day. Would be good for layering, but I love it just the way it is. Best for spring, summer, fall.

I am just disappointed, i literally can't smell this perfume. They disappear on me and the only performance i am capable to get from them is few moments of really diluted clean scent. Same on my moms skin, on the other hand they smell great on my step-fathers skin. Would not recommend them for blind buy. Shame, i really wanted to love Narciso perfumes

I really love the scent profile love the combination of notes! But it smells much much better on paper than on my skin :( on paper the flowers and the musk really blend well together. Making it the most perfect feminine clean musky scent ever. But on my skin the flowery notes get lost and I smell mostly musks. It gets kinda too masculine. But on paper it’s divine!

The floral note to me is a beautiful, subtle lilac. A musky lilac fragrance that is perfect for casual everyday wear.

The nondescript floral smell takes over for me. I don’t smell much musk at all. Was hoping for a gentle and fluffy musk smell to be the main player. It’s a very pretty smell, but I’m sensitive to florals and find they irritate me. I will try some of the other NR fragrances.

I have had this in my collection for a while but I haven’t been reaching for it a lot recently. I wore Pure Musc for work today since I just felt like I didn’t want a strong perfume considering the stress I was under, and it ended up being a great choice! Soft and calming and feminine. This is a perfect work perfume actually. Clean and flowery and sexy in a subtle way.

Keep in mind this is not a compliment getter. The sillage and longevity are absolute trash and you should reapply every two hours. Despite these, you can tell this is a high-quality perfume. You can feel the quality of the musc is excellent. Nothing synthetic or screechy. So over spraying doesn’t bother myself or those around me.

This thing, omg, stole it from my mrs. cabinet and felt in love with it instantly.
I can see a person who wants to intimately smell fresh wearing this!
You should have this in your unisex collection.

This smells nice but also like something I have smelled a thousand times before. Very feminine flowerish, nothing that sticks out and something that I would buy before deep diving into the world of perfumes and realising that you can find something that is very unique and more interesting.

On others this smells clean ,creamy ,musky and soapy but synthetic
On my skin this became weird,all I smell is this plasticky musk with something metallic that makes me annoyed .
It's a weird synthetic mess.
It's a big no for me .

This is a gentle feminine musk that has everything I love about musk, with nothing I dislike. At first I didn't think I would want any of the florals, but they are so delicate that they are nice. It works 100% of the time. It is clean and natural, with no synthetic quality to my nose. It is soft and smells neither overly mature, nor overly modern. I bought it after NR for Her EDP and would wear it to bed until I realized I wanted to have this smell with me all day too. I think of a lightly scented feather pillow. It is a tiny bit sexy in the cleanest possible way. The balance is perfect.

I'm conflicted.
It's nice yes but only toward the drydown.
It's opens up sharp, musky and synthetic but the dry down becomes softer, maybe even a little powdery.

I don't think I'll end up keeping it as I don't want to power through the opening. 🫠

It does not smell bad, it just smell meh.. to me. It does not smell like musk at all, but flowers. Its very light and watery, reminds me of Another fragrance

Beautiful, beautiful clean aesthetic musk parfum - the Narciso musks are not your average Designer musks anyway, as is reflected in the price of these; but this, outside of my favourite Mugler milk-musc, is my favourite; the cashmeran in this is just lovely, it's all cosily enveloping, & with minimalistic florals - the jasmine is pretty, but very toned down - & the barest wisp of orange blossom is perfectly subtle (only Bvlgari White Tea, is better in that respect.) Love this v much, it's another good one to wear when you just don't know what to wear, for whatever occasion; it wraps around you like the most gorgeous cashmere throw, although it suits very well all through Spring, & outsideof very high Summer. From the original marketing I think NR were trying to say, that this would have been Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's favourite NR parfum; which would make sense, although she only ever wore the kind of Egyptian musk oil that she bought from individual street-vendors in New York, (at Stations, etc) as you could do, pre 9/11, when I was very young - this is more refined & beautiful & the exquisite restraint, with the florals makes it a masterpiece; only the milky Mugler musk that was long discontinued is better than this, for musk lovers. The packaging is also perfection, & the bottle is extremely attractive. This always is a good 9 out of 10, & as long as you only use 2 or 3 sprays you can never go wrong with it.

Been looking for more powdery scent that I can add to my collection. A safe one for sure, the cashmeran scent is very dominant to me.

Pure musc is the smell of the dry down of the regular NR without any of the gilding. Watery, cool, composed and clean. Definitely can smell the pencil shavings at the start but I don't find this intrusive. Occasionally I get a slight hint of chlorinated water which fits into the "swimming pool" suggestions others mentioned. I have no issues whatsoever with the strength; I have found it delicate to wear but persistent for days and days. It feels like a competent fragrance for a competent person: straightforward, practical, job done efficiently and to a high standard. No french beads or Bristol stones here. I like it very much, hopefully I'm competent enough to wear it, hahaha....

My experience was : Lots of YouTubers listed her as their favourite so I gave her a try. I didn’t think much at first. But then a few hours later, when she settled on my skin, it’s not a strong, sharp musk smell anymore and instead became a light, gentle, powdery, creamy scent which I absolutely loved. So I went back to the store, sprayed her on again and I’m like “ Wow it’s so strong. Not very nice. Do i actually like it ?” And again it changed to a more gentle, more floral and pleasant smell about 1 hours later. So I don't really know if i want to buy her or not 😂😂😂? She lasted pretty long on my skin tho. Even after the shower.
Updated: I did end up buying her and I think I have made the right decision. I love her. She has like a clean, soapy scent which is inoffensive. Felt like you just came out of a shower, very comforting for my anxiety for some reasons . I like a variety in my collection so this is great ! I got a 100 mls and 30 mls version of this.

Love love love love. My favourite NR fragrance by far.
It's a very lightly floral, suede-like musk. It pulls surprisingly salty on my skin, and turns into this musky lightly salty-suedey perfume. Lasts about 6 hours on my skin, with low to average projection. I love it, absolutely beautiful, very comforting, and completely non-offensive. No soapiness to my nose, and minimal florals to me. Bought a full bottle almost immediately.

Smells like a soft and gentle soap. Very clean and inoffensive. The florals add a bit of character to the soapy smell but it's still mostly soap.

Unsure about it. On one hand - I love Narciso fragrances and I like the smell of this. On the other - soapy smell isn't what I'm looking for in a fragrance. And I'm not all that interested in layering either.

All in all good fragrance but I have things I like more than this.

On my skin it has something that reminds me of a forest. Very beautiful! Soft and dreamy.

Top notes are jasmine and orange blossom, for the update.
Which also happen to be my favorite notes, the orange blossom aren’t too much here, just enough to bring warmth to the jasmine.

The base notes have amber and patchouli, delicately wrapped of musky-cashmeran notes.

Great projection, but expected more longevity and sillage for an eau de parfum.

It's exactly as the same says-- simple, pure musk. I can see people enjoy layering this with other perfumes, with maybe more fruity or sweet ones to give it a deeper, earthier base.

Or maybe just having a super clean yet calming inoffensive office scent.

Personally, as a minimalist, I don't like layering and I want an office perfume that still has some character, so I'm passing and giving it just as "Okay". Nothing bad about it... but nothing to woo me either.

I tried it at first because someone recommended it as being similar to the vibe of Max Mara Le Perfume (and I’m obsessed with Le Perfume and dreaming of getting it again or at least finding something similar). So I gave it a try and at first was scared off with the dominating opening of the white musc. It starts very in-da-face soapy and softly scratches the migraine button in your head. So I shoved the test stripe in a pocket (I never test anything new on myself directly — I hate to be followed by a random annoying scent all day) and forgot about it for a couple of days. But when I found it again and gave it a second try I realized the beauty of this perfume and ran to test it again — this time on my skin. And I fell in love with it. The musk is truly not that awful and suits as a perfect gentle base for white flowers (def Lilly-of-the-valley/white lilies/tuberose) and cashmeran. This scent gives you fresh floral and slightly chilling feeling — like the cool summer breeze. It definitely follows you but doesn’t dare to overpower you. It’s a little behind or around you, you can pick it with an effort if you want to sense it — but it’s very quiet and will not cause you a headache with its floral musk. Needles to say I simply love it now and it has become my safe and elegant everyday choice. I always receive compliments when I wear it. The longevity is serious — a day and a half without reapplication on me, up to a week on clothes.
P.S. It is not Max Mara Le Perfume and will never be but it definitely echoes the same idea of an elegant lady, and I’m thankful for this recommendation.

It’s inoffensive, clean, musky. Perfect for everyday use. The lasting power is good while the projection and silage are not.

After this dries down it smells exactly like the Mustela baby wash. It reminds me of a newborn and while I loooove this smell on a little baby’s head I do not want it on myself

Clean, soapy, soft musk upon first spray! I do get a touch of woodiness in the backround, and a pretty tame white floral accord. I get a "velvet" smell right off the bat, I'm guessing that's the cashmere! If the word "expensive" had a smell, this is it!

Leans heavily feminine, but of course wear whatever the eff you want!

Words that come to mind: Clean, luxury hotel, white linens, soap, shower, elegant, crisp, button down shirt, detergent, old money, Lana Del Rey!

It's exactly what the name states - Pure Musc! No extra bells and whistles (or powder - I don't really get a babypowder vibe, thankfully)! It's oh so smooth with a musky punch, and I don't feel the need to sneeze :)

I oversprayed on clean, moisturized skin using a 1ml spray sample (emptied it - about 8-10 generous sprays, with another 1ml to top off into the next day).

Longevity: 3/10, fairly weak - around 2 hours of staying potent, as to where I was able to smell the notes mentioned.
Projection: 4/10, weak to moderate - in my opinion, this is a skin scent unless you overspray!
Sillage: Nice scent trail first hour of wear!

This beauty really shines outdoors, perhaps even when its bit cooler out (I live in FL so take that lightly)! It was fairly warm today, but I got caught in a light breeze this evening and the most BEAUTIFUL whiff of soft, soapy white florals came my way!

I see so many opportunities for layering Pure Musc, my girl Demi Rawling was right on the money with that one!

I'll be purchasing a full 3.3oz bottle - I'm ready to experiment :)

This fragrance is so incredibly pleasant on my girlfriend, I can't get enough of it on her.

It's almost borderline animalic with the opening, that clean musk gives off the feeling of just clean skin, the cashmere lingers ever so slightly while maintaining that musk throughout the dry down.

Longevity is pretty good but it doesn't project much after a few hours so my gf oversprays this one, overall fantastic and a great dumb-reach!

To me the floral notes, which I love, fade away pretty quickly.
Then I’m left with strong musk and cashmere.
It’s interesting and fun to smell but I can’t imagine anyone thinking I smell good with this heavy animalic scent on. Maybe during intimate times? 💀
I think this is really interesting to own for layering purposes, but the price is way too high to buy for this reason alone. If anyone has in mind a cheaper version but with the same concept please send me a message 💘

My 5 year old daughter, "Mommy, you smell good!" The whole wear is beautiful. I love the drydown, it is pure musky cashmeran. I do love that note.

I bought a full bottle of this after trying at store. The opening and first couple of hours are beautiful, a very clean musky scent with floral notes. But the dry down… I don’t like it… it turns out quite different and gives me not so clean vibes. I’m decluttering. I find the scent to dry down to an extremely mature masculine scent, specially on the clothes. It’s not bad, just not for me at all.

This opens so beautifully with bright white clean florals that almost have a menthol like quality
There’s a hint of sweetness and smoothness too
But as it dries the Musc is just too much, it catches in the back of my throat and makes me feel nauseous.
I know using Musc is Narciso Rodriguez’s THING but would it kill him to make a fragrance without it

My favorite smell. Musk and soft flowers. Stays forever on clothes and stays long on my skin. I will always have a backup.

While many of my favourite winter perfumes are in the amber, soft amber, or woody amber fragrance families, I also love wearing soft, musky scents on days when I want something a little lighter. Soft florals with a notable musk accord are perfect for that transitional period where the days are getting lighter, but it still feels cold, and I'm not ready to pull out my spring fragrance wardrobe, which consists mostly of florals.

I already own and love the original Narciso Rodriguez for her EDT and thought that Pure Musc might fit the bill of a quiet, musky, soft floral. Pure Musc is the perfume equivalent of a simple cashmere sweater in a light colour (white, vanilla, cream, ivory, ecru, etc.) It's simple yes, of course, but quietly elegant. Like a good quality cashmere sweater, Pure Musc is simple yet well made. Think clean lines, elegant and understated.

When I opened mine the package suggested to layer it with any Narciso Rogriguez for her fragrance. I haven't tried combining them yet but I would imagine it would give the sexy, sensual, and seductive EDT a little added brightness.

I don't like it. First of all, I don't like musk. I run away when I smell a strong musky perfume. I like it when it's present in small doses, to give freshness and lightness to the scent, a clean feeling as they say, but when it's dominant... Oh my God! It stings my nose, and sticks to my skin all day long and gives me a headache. Even after showering, I always find traces of it!
I only love the opening of the perfume: a flowers bouquet! But when these floral notes dissipate and give way to the heady musk, I go from love to hate.

Once in my life, I smelled musk and loved it. I don't remember when, or where, but I would give anything to know. The musk I smell in perfumes these days is not the same, and it turns chemical sometimes. A cheap musk maybe? too synthetic? I don't know. Because I remember I loved the smell of musk, even more than amber and vanilla...

I would like to preface this by saying I think this could be a great scent for someone else, just not on me. With that being said, this is the epitome of a sterile, white floral-musk! It is strong, powdery, and almost too heady. It has a manufactured femininity that makes it lean away from dryer sheet and into the realm of scented period products. The opening is really kind of captivating, but the longer it stayed on my skin the more I wanted it off. A lot of reviewers say they wear this to bed and I understand why. If you like the musk element in the other NR perfumes, this would be the most concentrated version and a thick cloud to have with you. It does come across very clean and comforting, but not modern and not for the every woman. Very straight-laced energy from this one.

Edit: I've fallen in love with the Narciso musk. I love how seemingly square and unsexy it is, while being undeniably appealing and attention-getting.

I've tested this several times now, trying to see if my initial, albeit very odd, first impression held up. Perhaps the problem is me, but I get a distinctly, literally cheesy note in this mixed with heavy, "clean laundry" musk. A freaky sensation. I used to work in a preschool, and this scent reminds me of the place in the classroom where clean coats, smelling of fresh air, meet freshly removed shoes and the feet that were in them: the musky scent of dried kid-sweat, clean and dirty all at once.

For a time I had written off cashmeran as a troublesome note, and a good one for me to avoid, until I found several fragrances containing it that I liked. But Pure Musc is putting it back on the “suspicious list.”

I love the house of Narciso Rodriguez and expected to like this as both a fragrance enhancer and musky scent in its own right, but it's just too funky for me. I don't notice any florals or powder, just a musk as thick as paste.

For some reason, I LOVE this boring scent.

I LOVE this perfume! It's the perfect out of the shower scent. It is a little more floral than I was expecting, but I'm not mad about it. I feel so clean and fresh when I wear this. It lasts a while on my skin and clothes ,but I do spray about 4-6 sprays.

I don’t know why this perfume is so addictive to me. It’s such a beautiful, creamy and sexy scent. Out of all my fragrances, this one makes my husband go crazy. Even after I stop smelling this on my self after a couple of hours, I keep getting compliments on it. Honestly one of my favourite fragrances of all time along with musc noir rose. It’s so simple yet I feel so clean and put together whenever i wear this.. also the smell lasts for ages on clothes!! 10/10 would recommend. A sexy, feminine men eater perfume.

The opening is not great. The dry down is bearable but uninteresting. Up close it smells a bit like pencil shavings. It’s soft & quite feminine. The creaminess is there as well as a light powderiness. I like it, but it’s too soft for me. When I smell this, I imagine a vulnerable dependent person. It would make a nice wedding fragrance.

This is nice.. simple floral musk fragrance that smells fresh and clean. Inoffensive and good for everyday wear. I prefer Her EDT black bottle or Poudree but I’d rock this too!

This isn't as soft, "milky," and powdery as I was expecting. It smells almost sterile to my nose, like Lysol disinfectant. It is also leaning more masculine than feminine. The dry down does get softer, though, so I end up smelling very soapy, clean, and fresh all throughout before I get any of the musk towards the end — not necessarily a bad thing, just not what I was expecting. This will still be my everyday perfume, and I will likely finish the bottle. However, I'm not sure I would repurchase.

As other commentators have noted, such a screechy opening. I fully expected to love this fragrance and tried to let it settle on my skin, but I just couldn’t take it. Not the soft, clean, musky scent I was expecting. Quite “perfume-y.”

Simply put….it’s a clean, pretty, fluffy, musk scent. I wear it fresh out of the shower and to bed quite a bit. But, the musk is SHARP and headache inducing in the opening. To me, it honestly smells like pencil shavings. I know people say this is a safe blind buy, but because the musk opening is so sharp and strong, I have to disagree. Do not blind buy this if you are the type that doesn’t like to wait for the dry down of a fragrance. When it dries down and the musk starts to fade, it smells way better. The florals and casmeran start to come in and it turns soft, creamy and fresh. For me, this is an around the house, lounging and self care type of scent.

My new signature scent! I had been searching high and low for a new perfume, since my scent of 20 years got reformulated and watered down. The sales woman was pushing all the other perfumes from this house (especially the black bottle). However, Pure Musc was love at first spray for me, and it only got better with time.

The initial spray is a bit of a screechy floral, but that quickly disappears. Its so hard to describe the notes of this perfume. I dont get powder at all, like some others mention. I get a the perfect blend of floral, sweet, soapy, and clean musk. Not sweet in a gourmand way, and not floral in a headache inducing way. I feel like a million dollars when I wear it. Its a creamy, luxurious, clean dream!

I imagine a high class, wealthy, woman walking down 5th Ave in a white skirt suit, with her hair up. She walks by and she smells so good, but not of "perfume." It's her expensive shampoo and other products (that I could never afford), that leave her smelling like 'money.' Thats what Pure Musc is. It's not overpowering, put people get a whiff when you walk by and become enamored.

Major compliments from men. One man wrote the name down while we were both on a check out line. (So he could buy it for his wife). Another man in the store said "you smell all sorts of good from here!" Even when I cant smell it anymore, others can.

I spray it all over my clothes and bedding too. Reminds me of something from my 80s childhood and I cant quite pinpoint it. Finesse conditioner? Jean Natte?

I love it year round, but it projects even more in the heat, and becomes even more delicious. In the cold weather it is crisp, bright, and clean.

Also love that this has No patchouli in it. Patchouli does not agree with my chemistry, most perfumes have it these days.

I dont know why this perfume is so under the radar, and not promoted as much as the others. I'm on my 3rd bottle of this and I hope it's never discontinued.

This reminds me of Estée Lauder Pleasures. A scent I loved when I was 15. It’s not bad. I’ve just moved on from straight forward floral generic scents.

Just "flowers"? I suppose it fits. Narciso excels at the ambiguous.

Testing all of the scents from this House and this is my 3rd favorite, after Narciso black cube and red cube.

At first I thought this was way too "perfumey" but then I layered with B&BW patchouli and vanilla lotion, and it was a home run.

If you can get passed the first hit of fly spray and move into the peppery sharpness, you'll end up somewhere quite pretty and fresh and soft. I like the dry down but unfortunately, I don't think I can get those first notes out of my nostrils.

In the top notes, I perceive the fragrance as a synthetically pungent white flower nightmare. Luckily it gets way nicer, softer and creamier. Smells clean and fresh after dry-down.

To me, the woody scent was too strong and sharp that I can’t keep smelling it. I could hardly smell the floral notes and honestly it was just musky scent with strong woody that squeezes out aggressively. However I can see why people tell this scent is pure and clean. Its name is exactly the same with its scent. I’m just sad that the wood is too strong to me.

I have the trio of travel sprays which include this, for her edt, and fleur musc. I have the giant bottle of the edt too.
I really like the NR dna as a house. I like it more than mancera, for example. NR is not synthetic or plastic smelling at all. I like their musc backbone.

That being said, i like this pure musc version the least. I love fleur musc the most and i ordered a full bottle bc i loved it so much. The edt for her is a close second. This pure musc is also nice but at least in fall winter season, it isnt wowing me. It is definitely clean and inoffensive, quite Good for layering and im going to experiment with more layers, but fleur musc is my fave and next i want to try poudree!

Soft warm and musky great for everyday. Its inoffensive, I can see myself wearing it for after the shower and lounging around. I got a sample of this and musc noir rose to test out this line and that one beats it as far as what I want to purchase first. 8/10

update: I wore it today for the first time after ordering a travel size and it gave me a headache :(

The name says it all. Just musk with hints of creamy floral.
Pretty basic I can see it as a daily wear for those that like it.

Simple and well executed. A second skin sort of fragrance. Clean, put together, fresh out of the shower sort of scent. Not a safe blind buy if you don’t love musk, this is a clean musk scent and it can come across as sharply soapy. Overall, it’s a great scent, modern and easy going. You can wear this everyday.

Clean and fresh perfume for a modern woman. It’s not feminine or sexy but it lifts your mood. It’s great in the mornings after a shower. The dry down is so much better than the opening. It has a high quality ultra fresh clean vibe.

There is always someone who associates a parfume with a grandma.. even the most beautiful, classy, and sometimes the most modern ones. I always find some comments like this. My grandma wore Diorissimo. Now that is a little bit outdated these days I know, but still a beautiful fragrance...Someone must be really lucky to know a grandma smelling like this!!😃
But back to the point - the opening is a but annoying, but after a few minutes, this becomes memorable. Lingers aaaalll day and is so nice smooth and clean. I love love love narciso type of musks and this is not an exception either. Out of the shower freshness, but not lemony sour type of freshness thank God. It's probably me, my skin is a sucker for musk, it becomes so beautiful and cozy like a second skin. It is a modern musk.

Aptly named and colored. Beautiful perfume that evokes a white color in mind. It is a true floral woody musk. The musk here is not animalic, neither it is too detergent-like. Warm, fuzzy, clean, but doesn't go to laundry territory. If you like perfumes such as Cacharel's Noa, Puredistance's White, Byredo's Blanche, MFK Aqua Universalis Forte, Dior's Pure Poison, Tom Ford’s White Suede and similar perfumes, you might also like this one. Projection is very strong although it might not seem like it at first.

The epitome of “clean girl aesthetic”. Elegant simplicity, soft, cozy and feminine. Perfect all year round if you prefer lighter scents, or mainly for summer’s unyielding heat. Long lasting. Collection staple.

This is a great scent. What I love is the dichotomy between innocent fresh clean from magnolia and a soft jasmine with a white musk base. But hold on— there’s another musk in there—transparent, but also thick and sexy. Almost animalistic but not necessarily dirty… just a great overall fragrance. Wonderful on its own but great for layering, too. Lasts forever on clothes. I wear this to bed almost every night. It lulls me into a dreamy sleep.

If you like the dry down of NR For Her line, this is the fragrance for you. It's like you're skipping everything in the beginning and going straight to the good stuff. Soft, floral, clean but cozy. This is the first fragrance that made me equate the scent with cashmeran. I feel like I'm wrapped in a cashmere blanket.

I blind bought this fragrance at the start of building my collection hoping for an everyday clean scent. Given it’s glowing reviews on YouTube I thought I’d be pretty safe.

However, it did not agree with my skin at all. The musk was extremely animplication and did not smell clean at all. I have tried NR For Her EDT and NR Fleur Musc and loved them both. There must be a slightly different musk or composition that makes Pure Musc go bad on my skin.

Needless to say, I learned my lesson on blind buying (although I still do it lol). With specific florals, fruity or gourmand DNAs, you’re a lot safer blind buying if you know you enjoy that style/composition. It’s a little more risky when you throw in animalic notes like musk, leather, civet, etc. as the dominant note, if it’ll work for you.

I was surprised when I saw so many reviews who thought of soapy/clean scent when they smelled this. I can kinda see what they mean, and maybe it's just how it is on my skin, but this scent actually makes me feel sexy :)

It's got a welcoming(ness) to it though, which I like. Sexy but not closed-off vibes, almost like charisma. At first it radiates about arm's length, but as time goes on it sits closer to my skin. It does have a very earthy vibe.

I bought mine on sale for black friday, 10/10 recommend waiting till it goes on sale because in my opinion it's a little pricey. But I do recommend it!

Apollonia by Xerjoff is my favorite musk, but this is a close second. I love Pure Musc in any season or weather, but I really love wearing it in winter. It smells like fresh powdery snow warmed by the sun. It's fluffy and cocooning, yet earthy enough to be sexy. It's a simple crowd-pleasing musk that I find myself reaching for more often now as winter begins, a time I yearn for what's familiar and soothing.

Sprayed this into the paper at the department store, I didn’t think much of it at first smell. Then I left the mall and continue smelling it in the car. I was in LOVE. Smells really clean and fresh. It was powerful too because it contaminated all the other papers that has been sprayed with other perfumes (I stuffed them all in my pocket), that all the papers ended up smelling like this one. I was determined to get the full bottle the next time I go back to the dept store.

But then, when I did end up going back to the store, I tried spraying it on my skin, and it disappeared after like 5 minutes?? I was so confused. I ended up getting the Musc Noir Rose cause it had better staying power, and Pure Musc felt like a waste of money considering how quickly it disappeared. But I still love the scent itself. I will probably get it if I ever got to the point in life where I could just throw money around and spray my perfume every 5 minutes lol.

A very basic musk fragrance with some floral nuances. I prefer For Her in the black cube but can see the appeal in this version as well. It’s clean and fresh and can be worn on almost any occasion.

This would make a lovely signature scent for anyone who enjoys the clean scent profile. It smells like clean laundry and musky florals; very feminine, warm and inviting. Actually, it reminds me quite a bit of a (MUCH) more refined J Lo Glow. I personally wouldn't buy a full size (I have a 1 ml sample) because it fits into my least worn scent profile, but if I only owned 5 or 6 perfumes I could see this being great for everyday wear.

I understand the controversion... This perfume you can love or hate.
On me... it works amazing and I'm almost ashamed to say it. Usually I don't like sweet floral fragrances, avoid too much musk and I am sensitive to syntetic smell. But this seductive, soft and cozy scent dazed me.
The only reason I tasted it is Robin Ellacott (C. B. Strike novels) who found herself in Narcisso. Well, I can't blame her.

Uncomplicated, sexy and very feminine. Pure Musk is just about it. It is not about the character, it is about romance, passion and joy of life. Nice for a date.

Sillage stronger, longevity between moderate and long. The qrow is very pleasant.

Saw a YouTube review on this as a 'clean' fragrance, which prompted me to go find and try it at the department store. I sense a herbaceous green vibe in there. Not so much floral, more herbal than any flowers, stems maybe, not the flower itself. Not a long lasting scent, within 1-2 hours there's barely any scent left on the skin. Meh.

Pretty fragrance.. nothing groundbreaking but a nice floral musk that dries down a bit sweet and powdery. Inoffensive, something that could be worn to the office. Definitely more of a day time scent IMO. It’s quite simplistic but I like that about it.

At first try i wasn't impressed, i thought wow..."in your face" floral, just ok? But..as i gave it some time, it grew fast on me. On my skin it feels like a velvety blanket. It's cuddly, lovey and a bit powdery as well. It's heavenly fresh and sensual.

I get a lot of compliments from the lady's (not my man🤭). It's your everyday perfume.

This has that cheap incense muskiness that gives me an instant headache. I didn’t see patchouli listed among the ingredients, but boy, I hate this just as much. Into the trash it goes!

I tried this after a shower as a bedtime scent last night. So weird because i think i am anosmic to nr edt and pure musc, but i can smell fleur musc and i love it! I can sorta smell the edt and purc musc, they smell pretty to me….faintly. but i only just barely smell it. I think i could use those to enhance other perfumes but i cant smell them on their own.
Update: today i layered this with sweet diamond pink pepper to give it a bit more musk punch, i think it is a turning out to be a great combo!

Me too absolutley LOVE this perfume. I hope it will stay in the stores forever. It is like half a perfume, and sometimes, actually quite often, that is what I want. My favourite Narciso Rodriguez. Can be layerd above many other perfumes, but is perhaps best by it self.

I LOVE the scent, it has become my day-to-day fragrance!
It's been stated that it can be used to enhance other NR fragrances or be worn alone.
The idea of interfering with a created scent doesn't speak to me, either I like the perfume or I don't. I definitely wear it alone. It's long-lasting but subtle and has almost no silage which I like! I don't want to spread the silage around me. It stays close to my skin and I prefer it this way. Very intimate beautiful fragrance. I have a back up bottle

This is coming from a woman who loves musks, jasmine, gardenia, etc. I also love pure poison by Dior, and musk therapy by initio. I DO NOT LIKE THIS PERFUME AT ALL My con for this perfume is that it should have more descript flowers. I feel like you just get straight up OLD pencil shaving that are rotting in the basement of an old school. To me this is a good example of musk done wrong.

A pretty floral musk - nothing on the original black cube, but nice if you want to smell like that clean airport perfume smell. Not astringent, just very pretty and clean. Not for me but it’s good enough to get a like.

I hate this. I know - controversial as many just love it but the florals off the top make me nauseous. There is a floral note I really dislike in it and I am still trying to figure out what it is - lily of the valley maybe? Any suggestions? It is a white flower for sure. Is too bad as I love musk and had high hopes for this one. Just not for me.

there’s not a whole lot to say about Pure Musc, really: its simplicity is the point, and it works, works, works. some white flowers with a hint of cucumber and lilac + a clean, modern cashmere-wood base + that unmistakable NR white musk = the perfect formula for cool elegance. the colors are white and silver with just a hint of pink. a sneaky fav. try it and you’ll see what i mean.

“contemporary” is far from my usual vibe, BUT if you’re looking for something a little less old-fashioned, and you like clean musks, you probably can’t go wrong with this house.

This musc smells like rubber on my skin. It´s a shame, because it´s a beautiful scent, so I have to wear it on clothes and in my hair.
When the rubbery smell disappears after 30 minutes, I really like this scent and it´s worth the wait. Milky lily of the valley.
I think this is a safe blind buy if you like musc and liley of the valley.
It´s quite linear so it´s good for layering when you want fragrance to be more prominent on the musc.
