Rose Extase by Nina Ricci is a sweet vanilla rose scent reminiscent of Roses Vanille but without the tart citrus notes. Although pleasant, Rose Extase lacks depth and complexity, creating a vintage, almost grandmotherly vibe.

Løpasdfkdf

If you like roses and rapsberry this one is for you. I will call this a smooth rosy fruity scent. Nothing strong at all. Perfect for going to work if you have people around you, this wont disturb them. Its very delicate, feminin. It does not smell at old lady rose here.

Løpasdfkdf

If you like rosy and musky/powdery scents, then you should try this one. Nothing amazing but its nice. It does not smell like an old lady because of the roses. Its just delicate and powdery scent. Its like a kind of sweet powdery scent. Nice to take it at work because is nothing offensive. Sillage is ok and longevity ok. Not sure of using it on summer, because of the musk that is so powdery.

stardenise16

I love Rose Extasé by Nina Ricci. It’s what I wanted Delina by PDM to be but without that rhubarb note (which I despise). A lovely combination of rose and raspberry.

Maya lilac

I have finished yesterday a full bottle of Rose Extase and I have been enjoying it so much. It’s such an incredible warm, sweet, powdery but powerful, rose scent.

While the scent is linear and similar to other rose centred scents on the market, what makes this stand out apart is its potency, the quality of juice and the incredible affordability.

Compared to the original L’Extase, this version has a more minimalist composition and feels so much more powdery. It maintains the fruitiness facet, thanks to the presence of red berries in the opening. These intense, sweet and tangy fruits, paired with juicy raspberries and rose is a match made in heaven. Smells so delicious, rich and alluring! Like all the fruits are dipped into powdered sugar. But it’s not a headache inducing kind of sweetness, the saccharine type, more like the sweetness found in overripe fruits.

Add to all the sweetness coming from the fruits, the sweetness of vanilla from the base and the warmth given by amberwood. This is Rose Extase, a fragrance that smells as beautiful as the baby pink bottle looks like!

Great performance and price, as the rest of the line! If you love a fruity, powdery, sweet rose and you can find it, you won’t be disappointed in this. It’s a gem!

I don’t own the original Delina so I can’t comment on how similar Rose Extase is to that.

fangpili

I have all of this line, apart from caresse, and also Delina and a range of similar rose perfumes. This is a sweet, powdery, juicy rose that is blended well with the musk. Out of the line, it's most similar to L'extase rose absolute, which remains my favourite but is sadly discontinued. It is not as sweet or generic as L'extase but still sweeter that L'extase Rose Absolute. While the rose is still jammy and lovely, it has sugar cube sweetness that needed to be cut through. I will layer this with Jenny Glow Wood & Sage (you could also use the Jo Malone version but this does not last as long). It nods to Delina but doesn't duplicate. What Rose Extase most reminds me of is Nanette Lapore - the original version. Sweet, creamy, jammy rose that just needs a little wood and sage to make it extra special.

ingrid.superstar

One of the pleasures of this hobby over the years is getting better at blind-buys. Granted, maybe a fruity-floral from a renowned master perfumer is not the most daring risk…and yet, how wonderful to find this right up my alley!

Rose Exstase reminds me a great deal of something I tried only once — perhaps I’d have to change my opinion if compared side-by-side — but this brought to mind Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds en Rouge in its smooth, well-blended, fruity-richness. Both are like rose petals floating in red wine.

Though it’s unlisted in Rose Exstase, I detect the ineffable, tickly (?) sensation I often get from pink pepper notes.

This has impressive lasting power for a professed edt concentration. A full 8 hours after applying, I get faint whiffs of a rose-infused fruit punch plus benzoin. The benzoin (and possibly the amber wood?) create a creamy, vanillic, plasticky ambrette effect of which I am also quite fond. Reminds me a bit of Nest Golden Nectar in the dry down, plus rose.

From top to bottom, Rose Extase is a fruity, candied, musky, clean rose with hints of sweet powder and wine: a low-budget, uncomplicated idea (another sweet rose!), yet executed with class and finesse.

silverlocusts

FK does it again, of course. Starts out as bright berries and jam roses, but settles nicely into powdery amber with a hint of sweet rose. It reminds me of a very refined lady's toilette (as in her vanity table, not her commode) or a very fashionable woman's closet. It is present but not screeching. I want to try all the flankers now. I wanted more rose, but I am not mad that she's in the background. It is very pretty and even soothing; can't wait to try it again in the spring as well. (I do think it could be good all year round, but in the damper months this dry musk is probably so nice.)

Kirkkovesi

A masterpiece by Francis Kurkdjian, in my opinion. Jammy, berry juice concentrate type of scent. Not heavy, but quite sweet and almost honey-like (despite no honey notes listed!)

It's a shame they discontinued this one. One of my favourites, and I typically find rose scents uninspiring. In my opinion, Delina smells like generic body spray compared to this one. Don't @ me.

katarinacza

On me it's very sweet and cozy. Very jammy rose. Reminds me of the smell of rose petal confiture. Tasty.
It's very sweet but in fresh way. I think it's great all around the clock, but would avoid it in hot summer.
My problem with some fragrances is that while being sweet they are also very "girly" or smell like bubble gum, this one gives me all that sweetness, yet without being infantile.
If like me, you are a rose lover - you need to check this out.

Shellyscents

Normally I stand fragrances up for a couple days after shipping so the juice can settle but I could not wait to smell this one! At first it was quite alcoholic, then it reminded me of people in my life. Someone older than me, kind of reminded me of my female Mexican relatives... Ding ding ding! To me it smells like the pink Zote soap (which smells a lot like the Dove rose bar soap/beauty cream). Yeah there's some fruitiness, and the Zote smell goes away a bit, but still has that rose bar soap vibe. I wonder if this will go away after resting so I will update my review accordingly.

Edit 11/2023:
Unfortunately the tangy soapy rose is there to stay. For reference, I used the 75 or 80 ml spray bottle. Also, I'm not a big fan of Delina, the rose also bothers me in that one- not to say that this and Delina smell alike! They have a similar profile and rose but that's it to me.

JenAvery

The rose in this perfume smells like the old English rose soap my grandma had in her fancy soap dish in the bathroom. I’ll use it to layer, but it’s too mature to wear on its own. I’m 50 but I don’t want to smell like it.

mad.as.ladybugs

I wanted to like it so much because I’m a fan of the original l’extase, but this one turned sour on my skin after a few minutes. Maybe it’s just my chemistry or the juice of that particular bottle but it just became tart and nose wrinkling 😕

ava96

This is so sweet, you really need to be careful. I'd spray it from further away to lower the intensity, but the problem is despite the intense sweetness it's not really long-lasting - just 3-4 hours max.
I am not sure I like it, it's almost headache-inducing. I need to give it another shot, but not today.

naomimichelle1

Rose extase is rosy, sweet, a bit powdery, but has an underlying smell that adds a depth and maturity that can be offputting to me. Recently, I layered it with Viva La Juicy La fluer. I put maybe 2 sprays of rose extase and then 4 sprays of la fleur on separate areas of my arm. In the air the 2 mix well to create a sweet, airy, rosy aroma that has some depth. I enjoy this combo more than either fragrance alone. Glad I found a way to make these fragrances work for me.

LulaValentine

Anyone selling any decants of this or know where to find some? I need to try this but I don’t wanna buy a full size just in case! I’m actually interested in decants from the whole Nina Ricci Extase line so message me if you have any decants to sell or know where I can get them! ♥️

Ayshaa

So pretty, delicious, and uplifting. I stop by my vanity to take whiffs of it from time to time.

DolceValkyrie

This one is heavenly. Sweet, bright, young, jammy rose mixed with wild, tart raspberries right from the bush. The bottle is so elegant and girly. The kind of fragrance a cool aunt gifts to her niece as a first perfume. The longevity leaves a little to be desired, but it’s so pretty I can forgive.

Turkish_delight

I wanted to like this as I love rose fragrances. This is indeed a sweet jammy rose. The opening is very cotton candy, and it continues to dry down to a sugary rose. It gave me a headache and I had to wash it off sadly.

ssamhita

Oh my! It isn’t often that a perfume moves me, makes me laugh and want to hug myself out of sheer joy, but this one is such a happy pretty scent I can’t help it! This is rose that is fluffy and airy and sweet - I totally get the Turkish delight comparison. There’s absolutely no tartness to it, which is kinda the Delina signature. The vanilla in this is done so well, as is the musk. When one says “jammy rose” one thinks of a thick almost syrupy rose. But to me, this is raspberry rose flavoured cotton candy, if such a thing exists. It feels like cotton candy to me - and I’m talking about the texture, not the scent. Melt in your mouth. Delicious. Simply joyful. I want to bathe in this scent. I want to float on this pink cloud wearing a pink cashmere sweater.

This was a blind buy, and while L’Extase took me a minute to understand (after which I fell head over heels in love) this was love at first sniff. I can see this layering really well with Bath and Body Works You’re The One, although for now I am absolutely enamoured with this just the way it is.

Allegoria

Rose Extase smells much like the bottle looks. Clean lines with minimal adornment, yet an understated elegance. I see the rose as mimicking the same soft peach/pink with a juicy but subtle raspberry support and creamy vanilla and woody musk base.

Being a Kurkdjian creation, it draws comparisons to the more popular, beautiful younger sister, Delina - whose strong character and great longevity make her a Star.

Yet, while Delina’s praise rings loud and strong, eyes may turn to the softer, less complicated, impeccably turned out Rose Extase to wonder if she is not the overlooked Beauty. She is a truly lovely rose fragrance in her own right. Softer perhaps, less peppery. Winter or summer, this perfume draws attention & yet is versatile for any occasion.

Moderate silage with 4 hour skin longevity & longer on clothes.

snopea

the opening is sharp, with lots of raspberry. dry down is a fluffy, airy rose / vanilla combo. makes me think of a turkish delight rolled in powdered sugar. get the delina comparison but i don’t think it’s a dupe.

schnocampy

This one took me a couple of wears to fully appreciate and love. Upon initial spray it is a little sharp, but once it sits on the skin for about 15 minutes it becomes a really lovely, feminine and creamy rose with berries to add a fruity sweetness. I actually find this versatile enough to wear year round, the coziness makes it cool-weather appropriate for me. Such an easy reach.

Advaitaforever

Very Barbie, fresh and youthful. Think a raspberry ripple ice-cream with a tart, fuschia raspberry syrup paired with a dreamy vanilla and a powdery drydown. Then comes the familiar and opulent oriental rose that is so Francis Kurkjian, saving the fragrance from turning too juvenile and adding a hue of sophistication. It's quite a translucent scent but carries enough depth without being too cloying or heavy. She is a cousin of Delina and shares striking similarities, but she is more 'girl next door', fun and approachable. My husband loves it.

Mira20040313

When I first smelled it, I didn't like it at all. It smelled like a generic rose scent, kind of "old ladylike". Whilst I can still imagine it as an old lady scent, it's a very pleasant one - I wore it a few days ago and I loved it. Rose scents to me are nearly always cold-weather fragrances and that's how I feel with this one too. Its a little bit fruity, mostly floral, not really sweet or warm at all. Lasts a few hours, but not for too long.

update: I have been really enjoying this for the winter time. Smells classy and elegant. It's great

viktorijavla

It's a really good quality perfume for such low price.
Smells very rosy, sweet, musky and not similar to Delina AT ALL

pure_placeboeffect

I had a dream about this fragrance today, and I realized that it was actually the best fragrance I've smelled in my entire life. My mom bought 10ML tester spray 2 years ago, and I really regret that I didn't purchase it when I could. As much as I don't like rose fragrances, this one is something else. It smells like rose marshmallow, but in the best way possible.

rinrinlovesrinrin

i love this perfume. it's very simple, raspberries, rose and vanilla, but it smells so good that i can't stop sniffing my wrist whenever i'm wearing it. 💘💗💖💘💖💗💖💘 it does start off very... like you just picked an actual fresh rose and it still smells very much green, prickly, red flower. after the drydown, 😍. the vanilla becomes more prominent and sweetens up the perfume by quite some. i can't explain how feminine this perfume is. it is like the parallel genre to chantal thomass 'o-sez moi', with o-sez moi being a bit more... lacy and flirtatious and not outwardly or obviously romantic, you have to kind of just get the vibe it's meant for and dress it up, and rose extase a tad more fluffy and flirtatious and more boldly in its own personality so it can smell generically sweet if you don't find it particularly appealing. they evoke romance and are the prettiest perfumes in my collection.

Hunnynpink

Fresh bright creamy roses slightly green and woody on my skin.

Njberry3

This one’s not for me unfortunately. I get more floral than fruity in a cheap offensive way. It doesn’t last on me either.

PGak

Just blind bought this, so this is just a first impression. Bottle has not had an opportunity to settle quite yet. I am finding this very soapy and “clean” smelling, very much like one of those green-rose-berry lotions from Bath and Body Works…. It is terrible. Where is the jamminess?

Will update after a proper wear… it better morphe into something magical because as of now, I am very very disappointed. Not sure why this gets so much hype.

Update: I had to give it away. My mom and sister fought over it lol. Its beautiful but I could not get beyond the lotion-esque-ness of this fragrance that I believe is personal to me only.

itkhalid

the smell is soo old, it's just a spicy sweetness rose with raspberry it hurts my nose and causes headaches for me, not summery and not fresh at all .. i prefer Lancome idole

BoryanaB

Smells cheap. It's too sweet and too artificial. Big NO for me

Jezeleah

I almost sold this one at the same time as I sold L'extase Rose. I kept it as a work/ casual scent, but there is nothing casual about it. A woman in the park followed me and told me that when I walked passed her, there was a beautiful scent trail, and that she had to follow me and compliment me. That was my first compliment and they've been pouring in since. The difference is that it performs better in the heat! I wore it a lot during spring and never once got a compliment then, and I didn't enjoy it as much either. All I smelled was rose and sweet. Now in the summer, I can smell the pepper and rasberry, and it's transformed into an amazing scent!

UPDATE: It's almost spring, so I layered this with Kayali Sweet Diamond, and it's great for transition weeks. Already received a few compliments with this combo.

Ceekel

I absolutely adore this fragrance. I have had this in my collection for quite some time and just under estimated this Jewel. What a pretty summer scent. Sweet but still has debt. Creamy and warm. It projects bit not over welming. 9 out of 10 for me. Great price and full bottle worthy

Moonwalk Memorie

There's nothing I can say that other reviewers haven't already...

On my skin, it's identical to L'Occitane's Roses et Reines. I'd consider it perfect if it were less powdery.

violeteme

A very happy, pink rose surrounded by raspberries and vanilla. Self-indulgent. Dare I say it is more perfect than Delina? Except not that long lasting. It is less screechy, more voluptuous and warm. I love it. +

Daycaremoney

I think this will be a good layering scent not spectacular but it's cheap so that makes up for it. Maybe I'll give it a chance again after bath time.

LilyRose1

I love love love love this. It was a blind buy and I hesitated for a long while before buying. I absolutely love rose, berries and vanilla so I don’t know why I waited for so long. This to me is mostly rose, red berries and musk and it’s so beautiful. It’s not heavy at all, but fresh, sweet and just magical. It performs like an EDP and I can smell it on my sweater for days after wearing it. It smells like the color pink and the bottle portrays it perfectly.
If you like PDM Delina, Mancera Roses Vanille and CH Very good girl I’m sure you would like this though it does not smell like a dupe of any of them, they just share the same vibe. If you remove the litchi, rhubarb and nutmeg from Delina they’re twins, but this has more berries and is not tart like Delina, nonetheless it’s still so beautiful and I love it. Worth every penny and I will get a back up since I never want to be without it. My only complaint (and it’s not really a complaint) is that the bottle is not see through and that stresses me out because I don’t know how much I have left lol. So with that said I will get a back up because I love it and don’t want to be without it even one second.

fishandbear

It sure is berries and rose. You'll only sense the vanilla if you look for it. Innocent and feminine.

A Little Perfume

I've had this in my collection for a while but I hardly reach for it because I don't love the opening. I almost never enjoy red berries (or raspberries or strawberries) as a note and this is no different. It's sharply sweet and a bit cloying at first. It also smells like this right out of the bottle, which puts me off wearing it.

BUT... the dry down is lovely.

Once those berry notes fade this becomes a pretty, slightly powdery, sweet rose scent. There's a subtle creaminess from the vanilla and a lovely clean musk along with a very pink rose note. It's soft, feminine, and playful. I'm writing this as a reminder to wear Rose Extase more often! If you're put off by the opening like me, give it a chance to warm up on the skin. It's worth the wait.

Inkspilled

My signature scent! Elegant, powdery, slightly sweet jammy rose. Instant mood-uplifter.

Nichelle112

I wouldn't call this a Delina dupe but I'd say Delina vibes. I feel like this reminds me more of CH Very good girl without the screechy opening. I love them all. Will definitely be keeping this in rotation

BeautifulClutter

When I picked this up as a gift set (50ml bottle) for £20 I was over the moon as I’d seen such hype around the fragrance online. The joy quickly wore off when I found I couldn’t abide the scent!

I left it unloved in a bottom drawer for a few months and took it out again just after Christmas; I don’t know what withchery / nose-altering sorcery occurred but now I adore it. The raspberry note doesn’t feel at all prominent on me, I do get generic red berries in the opening but it swiftly morphs into creamy-musky-rose. I wouldn’t say the vanilla is all that prominent on me; but that could be the body products I use. Rose Extase will be what I reach for as ‘casual wear’ this spring (might be slightly too sweet for high summer - I don’t want to attract winged insects!) and I think I’ll get a lot of use out of this bottle

lovealwaysalisa

This smells much closer to Delina Exclusif than to the OG Delina in my opinion. It's not as fresh, or juicy as Delina but does have the soft powder/creaminess that Exclusif has. This is a bit more "plasticky" though. I enjoy this. I use it as my Delina Exclusif on a budget. It dries down the same on my skin as DE. A creamy, musky raspberry rose with a touch of plasticky powder. I enjoy it. I will find something else to substitute for Delina. Maybe one of the dupe houses like Be Layered...

ravenhera7

This was a blind buy for me and I’m so happy I got it! It’s a really pretty & inviting creamy, sweet rose fragrance perfect for spring & summer but I can imagine wearing it year round. Great value for the price.

mirisfrik

This is addictive, crazy good perfume. It clearly is true Kurkdijan. It is sexy, sweet rose, almost like Miss charming in sexy laudry on Valentine’s day.
It opens very very sweet, almost disappointing sweet (so that i imeddiately wanted to sell it). But with time, it settles into something classy & sexy, sweet & sour.
This was blind buy, and so far I’m happy with it. Let’s now test how it performs.

Edit2: there is a clear Kurkdijan DNA in Rose Extase. In te drydown it’s almost Lady Vegneance, but instead of leather, Vanilla is dominant here
Miss charming Had to go as it didn’t last the whole day. Hopefully this one does better job

Edit: I might have given my opinion to soon. After 2 days through testing, Nina has to go. It’s too sweet and Vanilla for me

Luluteeter

As a Delina *and* lipstick/plastic note lover I totally love this perfume. It feels 70% Delina to me (I own all three versions) so if you’re on a budget but want those vibes I think this would be a great alternative. But honestly I love it so much on its own too.

mhdavis

As a Delina lover and a fan of most of Kurkdjian’s creations, I was shocked at how much I detest this perfume. It is not a Delina dupe, it annoys me how anything with rose and fruits is being called a dupe of Delina these days. Anyway, there is something in this that I must be overly sensitive to or that reacts really badly with my sense of smell because it has this horrible powdery dusty cloud that overpowers everything else in the fragrance. It’s indescribable and I’ve never smelled anything like it. The only thing I can compare it to is the smell of burning dust. I assume it’s the amber wood but I’m not familiar with that ingredient so I can’t say 100%. I hear people rave about this line all the time but I find this one repulsive so I have no interest in trying the other ones.

Perfumygirly

I wanted to live this perfume as it was compared to Delina and of course the creator being the iconic Francis K. However, no I can’t. It smells like plastic/ plastic lipstick/ old makeup. I can’t get over the initial spray and the mid notes which give me this old plastic vibe. I bought this and Ellie Saab together and didn’t notice they had very very similar notes! Except I love the other one and it feels more rounded and warm compared to this one which smells fresher and rosier. This one has a stronger rose. The rose is the grand one in this perfume. I still like it and it smells good, but not as much as my ELLIE Saab forever. It just smells a bit sweeter, not sure it’s closeness with delina. I just know that the Nina one is rosier and plasticky and the forever by Saab is a bit nuttier with rose jam. It’s just jammier compared to this one. Sorry, but I can’t do this plastic smell. If you like a sweet fresh rose get this, it’s not that mature IMO. A girl can wear this or a woman. It’s a good rose, but nothing too special.

vaiva.nenartavičiūtė

Way too sweet berry rose scent. Smells like delina.Maybe if you like delina- it would be a nice dupe

LemonLane

It’s a nice rose scent butttt it’s way too powdery for me. Also has very strong lipstick makeup vibes. Like the old fashioned kind of makeup/lipstick smell that’s just too mature for my taste

Fashionplatefanny

Everyone has got to stop comparing this fragrance with Delina. Both were released in 2017 so they aren’t suppose to be dupes. Each fragrance has to be reviewed on it’s own merits, not trashed because it doesn’t smell like another fragrance it’s been compared to. The only notes they both share is musk and vanilla, even the roses are not the same type so of course Rose Extase does not smell like Delina!!
However this is a beautiful fragrance. It comes in a really gorgeous bottle, it looks beautiful on a dresser and there’s no chance of the juice being spoiled by light.
It is a delicious jammy rose, that is creamy and marshmallow like. It is very feminine and in my opinion it is a winter fragrance because it is quite sweet. It is jammy due to the berries and raspberry notes and gets the marshmallow creamy sweetness from the vanilla berry combo. It is well blended and lasts all day. I love it.
I think die hard rose lovers are disappointed in this rose fragrance due to it being a sweet/fruity rose. They are expecting a stereotypical dusty, suffocating granny rose or maybe a fresh green, dewy freshly cut rose. This one is a new take on rose and I personal prefer this one to both the above. Besides this fragrance is classed as a floral wood regardless of it’s name. It is not a mature fragrance at all but it’s not for teens either.
This is a winner in my opinion.

Fragrancewonder

This is a jammy rose but very very mature. I suggest getting a sample before purchasing. Does not remind me of Delina at all.

MiaKlark

This smells like perfume! I don't know how else to explain it but this smells exactly like 10yr old you remembers all the older women smelling like.
It's a screechy floral scent and it smells pretty dated to me and it doesn't really evolve into anything else.
I would definitely not recommend, even for a very old person

vickkfleur

Very refreshing. I get rose notes first then berry musk during the dry down. It’s a mature woman’s scent best suited for spring in the day time. I think it’s similar to Delina about 65-70% similarity I only have a sample to go by.

rqqq

I definitely had some other cheap perfume similar to this, sour and rosy. I find it a bit genetic and aged. I like rose perfume, but not this type of old rose from old makeups. More Armani Si type of rose.

pursueliving

This is a surprisingly refreshing and versatile perfume, possibly from the opening and mid berries notes. It smells like a mature rose with a sparkling quality, like champagne, probably also from the berry notes. I'm not a huge fan of rose unless it smells really pretty and vibrant, as this one does. It has what could be described as a "department store" vibe, being rather loud. People will know you and a rose-scented perfume have entered the room. It's pretty, light, uplifting and definitely smells like sparkling roses but not overkill. It lasts a good 3 hours on my skin and it's a lovely, feminine fragrance. The bottle is a pretty pink color, well made and heavy, not plastic and has a nice atomizer. This perfume is strong enough to be worn in any season, and it'll vibe day or night. For me, it's a nice like, not a love, but it has enlightened me to the world of rose and I would definitely recommend it.

KATHERINESALAZAR123

FIRST SNIFF DELINA..DRY DOWN TRESOR MIDNIGHT ROSE..

Lamiawitipo

Do not let the nose behind it and the hype fool you, it is indeed a lovely sweet rose easy to grab in sunny days, it won't bother anyone and you might get few compliments here and there but it's quite forgettable and linear and can gets cloying. If sweet mainstream perfumes are not your cup of tea pass your turn. Personally I reach for it when I don't know what to wear which is almost always the case as I don't really care for summery perfumes. That being said it is a great deal for the price tag and the beautiful bottle alone is worthy to buy.

VMonster

I bought this off someone on Mercari, and what a little gem! I'm a rose and sweet perfume lover--I'm constantly seeking out something romantic, ladylike, with a gourmand edge but without being cloying. This is incredible. Plush pink rose petals dipped in vanilla sugar with fresh, tart juicy raspberries backed up with a soft cloud of clean musk. This is light and fresh, but magically sweet at the same time. My first thought was "springtime!" Although I think this perfume would be lovely in any season or time of day, to my nose it feels incredibly springlike. The bottle is spot on as to what you get with the scent inside. Packs a punch for an EDT. I have tried L'extase as well; this one is fresher and more youthful. As many have said, a safe blind buy for a rose lover.

fairymeist

I am so sorry but I can't stand this perfume :(

I can imagine it would smell good from the distance or that it would leave a beautiful trail, but up close it is just too strong and screechy, it smells synthetic and just too much.
I cannot wear this because I get suffocated instantly, definitely not an easy wear.

vaiva.nenartavičiūtė

Smells like Delina. Not bad who likes that kind of scent, but definitely not my scent, too strong rose scent, head hurts if I am smelling that more than 10minutes

PekoeMint

My favourite rose perfume. I have the bottle on my desk just so that I could smell the nozzle every now and again.

The rose is in full bloom, very fragrant and sweetened by the berries. These notes stay prevalent from spray to dry down where they meet with the amberwood and vanilla. The silliage is moderate/strong for about 5 hours before it becomes a skin scent.

It's cute and flirty, great for wearing during the day and spring/summer.

Edit: I recently received a sample of Delina and I would say that they have similar DNA, however Delina is heavier, more of a night affair, whereas Rose Extase is brighter, something you could where anytime.

Where Delina deviates is the addition of incense and nutmeg, making it warmer and smokier. It's also a beast in terms of silliage and longevity.

I actually prefer Rose Extase because it's more my vibe, but I could appreciate the complexity of Delina.

GardenGnome25

It's not a complete Delina dupe, but it's very close, enough to be a good replacement. It's a pretty clean rose smell, with slight pink pepper hint and a fair bit of musk as it dries. Very feminine and elegant. Doesn't have the strong insence smell that Delina has. It's surprisingly lasting and strong for an EDT, I only sprayed 3 times and I felt overwhelmed - it also lasted over 10 hours.

Cherry Bloom

The drydown is very similar to Delina. So woody and dry I feel it screeches my throat. I absolutely hate it. Such a pity because the opening is sooo plush and gorgeous. It gives me the image of a capricious angel resting on a white cloud. I had to give it away though because this gorgeousness dissapears in a second.

Slickchick81

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful rose. This perfume is a celebration of rose. This rose is sweet almost jammy but very romantic. Does anyone do a rose fragrance quite like Mr Kurkdjian?
If you are a rose lover, this is the safest of blind buys.
I sometimes spray it on myself going to bed as I feel it is so fresh, so soothing and simply gorgeous. Good longevity and good sillage.
It is a 10/10 for me.

Irecently bought this one and wore it today for a walk and my boyfriend kept sayng that I smell like fries. At first I was…are you crazy, this is a rose perfume, but then I got a whif of my perfume and I realized that he was not entirely wrong. It actually smells more like the oil that you’ve fried the fries in… Now I cannot think about anything else when I try to wear this …

Farzana1

This is my first experience with a rose perfume.I have to admit that I didn’t like it at first sniff, reminded me of a rose scented bathroom freshner but eventually I grew to love it .It’s sweet but not “pink sugar “sweet ,it’s more mature and elegant. The opening smells mostly of rose but the drydown brings in the candied raspberries !I am using it as a signature nowadays ,like to spray it before going to bed sometimes!
Sillage is moderate and so is the longevity!A like from me!

Marie76

This is probably my favourite rose perfume. It's elegant and beautiful, but not too much, it's joyful and happy. I feel it's less fruity than the notes imply, to me it's definitely a rose-rose. It smells similar to Ramon Monegal Flamenco, but less woody. It has a spine, though, it's not an overtly flirtatious concoction. It lasts very well, and it projects very well too.The bottle is heavy and lovely to hold. And best of all, for some reason it's always on sale. You can grab a bargain no problem.

mauvealert

I'm so glad a couple reviewers mentioned taffy, because one of the things that jumps out to me in this is SALT! When I first wore this in winter I thought "hm, a fruity rose" and forgot about it. The first time I sprayed it in warm weather, boom, a scent memory--summer days at the beach boardwalk amusement park, whiffs of pink cotton candy, vanilla soft serve and sunscreen carried on a salty breeze, underpinned by the woody, marine smell of barnacle-encrusted pilings.

I was really curious about what could be giving this impression, since there are no marine accords or notes listed, so I looked up amberwood, and found the responsible aromachemical described in one place as: "Noble woody note with tendency to ambergris note." Mystery solved...?

Anyway, this is a rose with a strong hit of seaside carnival, which I find just the right mix of nostalgic, joyful and pretty.

TiaLori

I really liked this at first whiff. I wore it all day for the first time today and in addition to the notes above I get a really strong scent of graphite… like someone is sharpening pencils or doing a gigantic pencil sketch. Perhaps it’s just the bottle or batch that I have but it bothers me enough that I’m going to have to layer with something that cuts the graphite scent or give this away.

UPDATE: I mixed up a vial of 3 parts this fragrance to 1part Rose Jam from Lush and the graphite scent is gone and the result is my fave winter rose scent of all time!

ceeceelee

Thank you @BCBborn for the rec. I was looking for a jammy rose and I've found it. Sweet, creamy and fruity. The tartness of the raspberry keeps it from going over that edge from interesting, luscious rose to eh ~ another Lush wannabe. This isn't anyone's wannabe. Well composed, masterfully blended and beautifully presented (the bottle, when you get it out of the package and are able to look at it from all angles, is a replication of a ladies pocket book with the old fashioned hard clasp on top. Pink, gold and touches of black make this a very feminine addition to your perfume vanity. Also, very heavy and well made. It feels lovely in the hand and it's easy to control where you spray, very nice to have that these days). When I saw Kurkdjian was the perfumer, I was a little shocked at the price. He truly is a talented artist. The whole L'Extase line is worth checking out if the notes appeal to you, because the value is here.
To my nose it's not a Delina dupe at all. Delina is much fruitier and sharper. The only thing they have in common is the rose. That's not a dig against Delina, it's just I would hate to have someone buy this beauty thinking they were going to get a sister and then be disappointed bc this is worth owning for itself. I know I'm going on and on about it, but when you get beauty and craftsmanship at this price point, it's worth trying to spread the word. I enjoy it so much, I ordered a back up bottle.

sweetcheex

Something about this smells kind of vapid to me. It reminds me of a Barbie doll I got when I was a kid that came with perfume, or some kind of doll that came with perfume.

I was hoping for more of a stylish factor, maybe some depth. It’s really just sweet fruity Rose, which isn’t bad. It just kind of is like ok, that smells sweet and nice and fruity and then you move on. I will try it in the cooler weather then reassess

sweetcheex

To anyone looking for a delina dupe or something similar, this isn’t a whole lot like delina. Same family maube vibe, they don’t smell alike

loliirain

Sweet creamy Jammy rose. Kind of similar to lush rose jam, but swap the spice and incense for something more powdery. Very feminine and ladylike scent. Not fruity or sour like delina. The raspberry is present from the opening to drydown. I wouldn’t call it a dupe, but it gives a similar vibe. It’s a scent that’s perfect for the early spring when you can start putting away your winter coat, and want something to celebrate the change of the season.

*now that I’ve smelled Delina exclusif, I can see the similarities. Rose extase is richer, denser, darker. The raspberry in rose extase adds a jammyness that really sets them apart. Exclusif has a sweet powdery, airy rose that smells innocent, almost angelic. The vanilla and amber in exclusif makes it more creamy. Both are beautiful scents, but not dupes for one another.

karinatfragrantica

I really wanted to love it but the longer I was wearing it the more disturbing I found the strong raspberry note. Much better in the dry down when the raspberry fades a bit. It is also a bit too sweet for me. Will give it another chance in colder weather.

annasarahr121

I love Nina Ricci Rose Extase. I'm actually a fan of everything I've tried so far in this range, but am especially a fan of the OG, this one and Rose Absolue (I still need to try Caresse de Roses). Rose Extase is the most ladylike, restrained of the bunch, so far, a pretty lipsticky rose (from the benzoin mostly, I think). It's heavier on the rose than the original (which is heavier on the raspberry hard candy), but not as intoxicatingly rich and intense as L'Extase Rose Absolue (which is very similar to Delina, to my nose, at least). Rose Extase is what I reach for during the daytime and when a heavier or sweeter scent might be a bit de trop...! This one's a big LOVE for me. <3

Lolafrola

Aahhhh I love this! Sweet jammy rose with vanilla base. My kind of scent. I enjoy it as much as Roses Vanille and Delina, although this one is not lasts as long. But for the price it’s definitely worth it. Blind buy safe if you like sweet rose scent.

Murmur123123

A sweet rose with a prominent fruity note, and dries down to a smoother and creamy musky base. I dont think this is a fresh rose (like Paul Smith rose or Mon Guerlain bloom of rose), but it is not soapy at all and not too deep or smokey either. I think if you like jammy sweet roses with the vibes such as Guerlain black perfecto or Narciso Fleur Musc, you will be able to enjoy this. I think it can get cloying if the weather is really hot. I will prefer to wear this for spring or autumn.

aris1223

For me this is a very fresh and carefree rose fragrance for the warmer months . It’s been very humid here in NY And I’ve been reaching for this the past couple of days , I find it has great lasting power . I catch whiffs of this throughout the day .

sincerelykayyx

This perfume is quite nice. Sweet (but not too sweet), fruity, rose that is creamy and somewhat powdery. It's not strong and offensive, which I personally prefer gentler scents. I can see this working on most days (cool to warm) but can get a bit cloying as it heats up. It's an easy reach for me.

I find this to be similar to Oscar De La Renta's Bella Rosa but without the overpowering patchouli note. I love it!

EDIT:
I wore this in warm weather and the dry down has a underlining note that smells like.. poop? I'm not trying to be dramatic. I sat in my car and checked under my shoes to see if I stepped on something on several occasions. Maybe it's my skin chemistry? Maybe it's my nose? Maybe it's just me. Disappointing because I love this fragrance otherwise.

Anomis_di_Fresia

This is a man's favorite, I feel! At least my BF likes this one out of all my current perfumes the most!

It is very sweet upon the first spritz, but dries down to a musky, slightly powdery vanilla scent! The sweetness, in the beginning, reminds me so so much of the rose marmalade my mum used to make, so it smells a lot like candied rose petals and the raspberry is a fine supporter, that gives it just a hint of sour, so the sweetness is not headache-inducing.

It is a perfume that I like to wear when I want to elevate my mood, or when my outfit is slightly edgy but in an elegant way! Like wide-leg dress pants with brogues and a feminine top, kept in neutral colors but with a red lip. I feel this perfume on top would then promote the look!

About longevity: it’s better than what you would expect from a pretty affordable perfume that is even an Eau de Toilette!

Manya3

I was looking for an uplifting, obvious rose and found it in Rose Extase!
The initial blast is quite strong, but then the perfume settles more gently, it becomes less loud and smoother but for me it's still too strong to wear to the office or to certain functions, it is more of a date night out scent.

The raspberry note is very central, it is taffy-like and almost milky, reminds me of a raspberry flavoured Fruitella candy. I guess this is what lends the rose its playful and not too serious side - L'extase is much more "femme fatale", Rose Extase has a "girls just wanna have fun" vibe. It never veers into straightforward gourmand or linear sweetness, the base keeps it interesting throughout the evolution and it does evolve.
The base notes are strangely smoky and animalic to me, but not unpleasant. I get a woody amber mix for hours on skin and several days on clothes and hair. That lingering, slightly raspy mix of notes is strangely poetic - as if it said "this too shall pass", extatic fun consumes itself and leaves smouldering embers...Haha sorry for the philosophical digression!

I'd say you have to like amber to really enjoy this perfume from start to end. It's the only thing that would make me say - test before you buy, it's not that safe a blind buy because of it. Definitely worth a test run at the very least in my opinion!
I think this scent is being discontinued? Not that it makes any sense, because it's beautiful and deserves a longer lifetime than merchandisers allow it :/

ncwvenus21

I don't know what everyone is talking about, I don't smell any raspberry. It smells like lotion or old school face cream. Blind buy for me, I'm a rose lover but I'm finding I like my roses spicy, dark and sweet or bright, this smells like your typical rose floral and I wouldn't even say it is that rosy. I mean I can't be too mad, it was a blind buy for $22.

Fumeslover

This is an absolutely beautiful raspberry rose. Still has the DNA of the original L’Extase but sweeter. This fragrance is beast mode even though it’s an eau de toilette. It will induce a headache of oversprayed so use caution.

VioletOrchid

Delicate rose that’s both sparkly and smooth! A gorgeous creation that’s unmistakably rosy 🌹 it makes me happy to find a perfume where rose is the star notes. This is a modern rose for sure.

I haven’t tried Delina and I don’t think I want to anymore. I found my holy grail rosy scent!

ioniqita

This is such an underrated beautiful scent! Easily one of my signature fragrances.

Very feminine and not at all your typical rose, floral grandma scent. I can see why people would compare this with Delina, but in my opinion, I find this much more to my liking. Delina can be too sweet. Maybe because of the lychee note. I much prefer Rose Extasé's rose-vanilla scent.

babysoft79

This is a nice beautiful scent for people who love rose and raspberry. For some reason, I expected this to be a little more unique and it smelled a bit more traditional and dated than I would have liked. It's a jammy rose and on my skin, it really intensified the raspberry which I wasn't too crazy about because it gave me a headache sadly. I'm trying to see if I can layer this with anything to add that something that I feel is missing and to also tone down that strong raspberry. Between this and Oscar de la Renta's Bella Rosa, something about Rose Extase felt a little flat, a bit like a rose scented soda that lost its bubbles, and between the 2, I prefer Bella Rosa. This is a solid, elegant rose fragrance but I'm not sure if this is me.

Letitlinger

A very "girly" pink Turkish delight/marshmallow rose, thanks to the raspberry-rose combination. Smells elevated enough to avoid any cloying body splash territory, even in the heat! It has a fun and romantic vibe for twirling in a dress out in a field; wouldn't wear it to work myself. Good projection, decent lasting power, safe blind buy for jammy rose fans.

kay the perfume addict

This perfume smells amazing to me, a beautiful fruity rose.😍 The rose is very prominent, so if you expect a very tart and fruity perfume this is not it.

It's still a gorgeous scent, I smell the red berries in the opening, and the raspberry mixed with rose🌸, that's what I get.

Plus, it last all day, I blind bought this perfume and it did not deceive me! I love perfumes that are done by Francis Kurkdjian, a great perfumer!! Overall, it's an 8,5/10 for me. ✨

monokeros

Blind buy and yes happy 🥰 Is more fruitier than what I prefer but I still like it! Really long lasting and when I am wearing it makes me smile! Better for day time.

chelseamurdock

I originally smelled Rose Extase by Nina Ricci on someone else and thought she was wearing Delina EDP. I have both Delina and Rose Extase now, and I definitely see a striking similarity between the two. They are not exact dupes, but very close. Both fruity, crisp rose scents. Both beautiful. ❤️ Rose Extase is maybe a touch more powdery and not as strong, but it’s also much more affordable.

Edit: I think I actually prefer Rose Extase. I know I’m in the minority here lol. I love Delina, but it’s very strong and can sometimes gives me a headache. Rose Extase is like a more subdued, skin-scent version of Delina to my nose. It also lasts a very long time.

clemmy

If you love jammy rose and raspberry don't look anywhere else. You found THE ONE.
This is a wonderful cloud that will settle in a delicate powdery rose. I can detect all notes, including the red berry at the beginning. Maybe the only negative side is that longevity is not huge (about 3 hours), but in line as EDT.
Pleasant for day and night, safe office scent, safe blind buy if you love fruity rose fragrances. 5/5

menopalu

I didn't love it on first try so I gave it a second chance. I really love it now. It reminds me of Midnight rose without all sweetnes. I remember saying MR needs more Bitter Rose and this just has it x10.

sejohnson77

I love this! It’s a beautiful jammy rose to me. I don’t care for Delina, this is more my jam. ;-)

katheryne_art

My review on some of the most popular rose perfumes:

Mancera Roses Vanille
A beautiful syrupy rose, that smells very natural to me. It reminds me a lot of the rose petal jam my mum used to make when I was little. It’s very beautiful, but I am not sure if I would be able to wear this as it’s a little bit too strong and too sweet for my taste.

Montale Intense café
Pretty much the same as Mancera Roses Vanille but with just a little bit less sweetness and just a little bit darker, I guess it’s because of the coffee, but I don't get the coffee itself.

Parfums de Marly-Delina
Delina is my most favourite rose perfume from everything I’ve tried. I like that it’s not just rose but it is also fruity, so it’s more delicious and it's also not way too sweet or syrupy. It’s gorgeous!

Parfums de Marly-Delina exclusive
Beautiful perfume! It’s definitely similar to the original Delina. I am not sure what is the difference exactly, but I feel like Delina Exclusive has more Litchi in it as it reminds me a lot of the Kilian-Fun Things Always Happen after Sunset. I definitely prefer the Delina Exclusive over Kilian, however, my favourite is still the original Delina!

Initio-Atomic rose
Smells more like Delina, but not as beautiful. Imagine Delina but with added bergamot and some white flowers. There is also a little bit of the syrupy sweet smell from the Mancera Roses Vanille or Montale Intense Caffee.

Nina Ricci-Rose Extase EDT
Pretty similar to Delina, but it’s just floral, not fruity to me and it also has just a little bit of a mature or old smell to it. Delina is definitely much better, but if you cannot afford it, Rose Extase is a good alternative.

intheflow

Heard it compared to Delina and thought I would give it a try. I can see the resemblance, but I also see why Delina is so much more expensive - it's this final refinement that makes it worth the price for me. Cheap perfume smells like it - cheap. This one has lovely notes, but the powdery base makes it smell like a scented hair product. If that doesn't bother you, go for it. But for me I'd rather pay the high price for the 'real deal' than wear something that does not bring me joy.

ivadim

hollandbri

Blind bought this based on the nose. Simple, easy day rose that is a little linear. A lightened rose for those afraid of feeling old lady. Sweet and enjoyable. Don’t know if I will repurchase as it just isn’t special.

kittymoon

It's not bad if you like powdery, musky rose perfumes. But even considering the blend with raspberry and vanilla, which sounds quite modern, I find all in all it smells a bit dated.

liat

Well, it's rose. It's a quite old fashioned, heavy, sharp, rose with some creamy vibe. Got it at a great price, too.
Do I like it? Ahhhhh, that depends. I can appreciate it but rose's not really my jam. Is it a solid blind buy? Absolutely.

Princess Jasmine

This was my most recent blind buy and I am very happy and have been wearing it a lot.
On me this is a sharp, fruity powdery rose. Very wearable but quite unique. I didnt love the other L’extase range but I love this one.
Beautiful fragrance and very nice bottle.
It has great lasting power on skin and even better on clothes.

Heiroppo

On me there is very little sweetness or cream though it is smooth and warms over time- opens with a burst of rose and which settles down behind a raspberry seltzer water- it has a sort of minty sharp background that reminds me of carbonation. A light dusting of powder over it all and a tiny bit of vanilla peeks out over time.

I wouldn't call it old lady, but it does strike me as "traditional" and in the family of smell of upright elegance and old fashioned face powders. Not a warm scent.

If you are looking for a more warm fruit rose, try Valentino Rockn' Rose.

Shangri_La_33

I blind-bought this based on reviews and the listed notes, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I didn’t get any berries except for a medical alcohol berry scent for a couple of minutes at the very beginning, and no real vanilla. On me I smell soft rose mixed with a sweet (but not vanilla) powder. It makes me think of an elegant, perfumed dusting powder that a woman might put on after bathing in the 1940s-50s. It evokes lovely images, but scents like these give me a headache. For being a soft scent this lasted forever on my skin. Even after I tried scrubbing it off. The bottle is sleek and pretty on my vanity, but I think I’ll try to trade it for something else.

bianka89

This was my first blind buy.I decided to pull the trigger after reading many positive reviews. Also people mentioned that it reminds them of Delina.Well of course I wasn't expecting it to be a dupe, but since I adore Delina I thought i should like this too.Its not terrible just not what I was expecting.I though it would be little bit more sweet and tangy because of the raspberris. For me its way more powdery and musky. It does have a very pretty bottle(the other reason I decided to blind buy it).Maybe ill give it a try in a warmer weather and see how it goes. Not bad for the price, but definitely not a statement piece :)

bel.gravia

Very creamy and milky fruity, rosy scent. More than just another fruity floral in a pink bottle :)

Dougaldog777

Oh no. Lockdown will be the death if me. I bought a bottle of this fragrance (blind buy again) and it smells awful on me. I thought I would have been aware of the fruit but all I smell is rose. Can anyone suggest what I could layer it with to help. I love perfume but have made some dreadful choices this year

Koningin

It smells to me like a toned down version of Lou Lou. Very make-up powdery. I like it a lot.

Mariamaija Amélie

Nina Ricci's "Rose Extase" opens up very fresh, fruity, sparkling, girly and flirtatious but, on my skin, quickly dries down to become a more rosey, musky, woody, sensual, sweet and, to my nose, undoubtedly sexy scent. This can be worn by any person at any age, who can relate to and enjoy this kind of musky, woody, rosey and sweet scent on and around them. And at any season as well, maybe(?)
The sprayer on my bottle is really awful, though, literally performs as a garden hose, but the juice in the bottle almost makes me forget about that - almost - and I am at serious risk of overspraying this just because how utterly delicious, I think it is. The sillage and performance are both amazing, though. On me Rose Extase lasts around 12-14 hours.

Cherry_Darling

Super nice, tart, airy and light, marshmallow rose. Big like. I do find this incredibly tart therefore would probably be able to use in summer months. Francis Kurdijan knows what he's doing, didn't realise he was the nose of this many houses..

fyetan

Very similar to Tresor Midnight Rose.
This is fruity raspberry on rose, bright and a touch sharp in comparison to the original L'Extase (which is grounded by caramel). Projection is initially very good, and calms down around the two hour mark. A lovely happy fruity rose.

danygurl06

I did not like this fragrance at first. It was a blind buy. I thought it was going to be a super sweet rose and instead I got sharp tart raspberry. It smelled like a tangy punch on my skin at first. I’ve had this perfume for a few months now. I try it out maybe once a month. Each month it gets sweeter and more powdery.

It now is smelling like the campino candy that some on YouTube were talking about. Today on initial spray I finally smelled the strawberries and cream scent I was hopping for. My skin amps up the raspberry note shortly after spraying. When it dries back down, it gets soft, sweet and powdery again.

I don’t know if the juices in the bottle had to macerate some or my nose is getting acclimated to it. It’s a pretty scent when the raspberry is not attacking me. If you like this, I’m sure you would probably like Auqua di Parma Peonia Nobile. They don’t smell alike but they are similar.

Dhayana

Brisk raspberry sweet tea with a soft powdery rose.
The raspberry dominates on my skin and turns a little warm and syrupy. This is a super well blended rose perfume, gives me fall vibes!

Update:
My husband can’t stand sweet smells but really likes this on me.
He said I smell like Strawberry Laffy Taffy
Last 8+ hours and has great sillage .

raiza1990

Beautiful fragrance! Feminine, soft and sensual. Starts with a deep sweetness, but nothing overpowering or sickening and dries down to a shy rosey raspberry. At this stage it smells a bit like lipgloss, but it is not synthetic.
I imagine a romantic, tender and sensual woman wearing it, maybe on a date. This fragrance mixes innocence and sensuality in a lovely way.
Sillage is soft, longevity is moderate to long lasting.
P.s: the small bottle is so cute!
Final note: 7/10

datsmellysmell

I have to be honest I found this fragrance because I read here that this fragrance reminds them of Delina from PDM.

To preface, I don't like rose/rosewater. And I don't love Delina because of the metallic rhubarb in it and its price, but I thought it was a rather pretty fragrance to my surprise who don't like rose things. I think people give more credit to the rose note for Delina than it actually deserves though, it's not that prominent. I am realizing that "peony" (despite being a fantasy note) may deserve more mentioning in that perfume than rose.

Rose Extase is my second blind purchase ever. And the first blind buy was another rose fragrance, Florabotanica by Balenciaga, and I did not like it because it smelled like just soapy roses and not much else for a really expensive price. But thankfully I was able to be return it.

This perfume was more affordable so I took a chance again knowing I cannot return them this time around due to the pandemic. This also had mostly positive reviews so I was quite confident it wouldn't be a scrubber.

I mentioned Florabotanica because if you know how dominant the rose note is in Florabotanica, then you can imagine how dominant the rose note is in Rose Extase because the ratio(?) is the same to my nose.

To me, this does not smell like or even remind me of Delina. In my opinion, it's a very different fragrance altogether.

However, if you like rose/rosewater scented things, then I think it would be a worthwhile purchase!

Rose Extase doesn't hit you with an initial hit of alcohol which I appreciated. It smells like raspberry/blackberry and mostly rose. Imagine putting on Rose Water hand cream from Crabtree & Evelyn (or Heritage rosewater toner, or Benetint by Benefit), then smelling raspberry flavored candy (like sniffing a package of red twizzlers or red Jello). It's not fresh or refreshing (for example, I consider philosophy's amazing grace, or Chloe by Chloe EDP quite fresh). However, it is not too heavy or syrupy sweet either. It's a good balance, and I would say it would be good all-year-round. It settles quickly and doesn't change through time - smell profile stays quite consistent.

I can see person of any age wearing this, maybe from 20 and up? Not for cis males as it is very feminine. This is not a polarizing fragrance. I don't think this scent is an attention grabber, not too serious or mysterious, but it has good mood.

I say again, you must like rose if you are considering buying this :) but it's a great price and well made!

I hope I gave a detailed enough description for people considering blind buying.

Duft Liebe

Very lovely bottle, and to me it smells exactly the way this looks like.

Warm, cosy, sweet and creamy intense rose. Leaves a slight idea of something fruity.

It was a blind buy today. I believe I like it, but I need to try again in cool weather.

latafan

This reminded me right away of Armani's Because it's You. And looking up the notes, yup, they're built up almost identical.

They both share a base of vanilla, musk and amberwood, and notes of raspberry and rose. The only difference is Armani places the raspberry in the top along with lemon and neroli, while Nina Ricci offers a top of red berries and puts the raspberry in the middle. But yeah, a glance at the notes side by side and you'll get the picture.

I do feel that Rose Extase is a whole lot softer and smoother than Because it's You. It's been a year since I've finished my bottle of the latter, but I remember Because it's You to really throw that raspberry far around you. All over Rose Extase seems a whole lot more fluffy to me in comparison. But it is similarly sweet, fruity, uplifting and very girly.

Now, in my review for Because it's You i wrote that I most likely won't be repurchasing it because it felt a bit too synthetic and young to me. But I did end up getting enough wear out of it to finish a bottle after all. So... I don't know how I'll feel by the time I finish my newly purchased bottle of Rose Extase, but with the bottle being such an utterly gorgeous retro stunner I may actually be very tempted to repurchase it. It just looks amazing on any vanity and it's a joy to pick it up.

Rose Extase is a very happy sweet fragrance in an extremely stylish bottle. For me it provides a decent scent bubble and longevity is really not bad either. Absolutely worth a try, possibly even for a blind buy as you'll easily find someone else who'll appreciated if you end up feeling it's not quite your jam.

Magnoliajo

A very sweet girly candied rose. Reminds me of doll plastic which I love. Lasts well on clothes not so well on my skin or maybe I become blind to it. Wish it was easier to find as I would love to buy back ups of this. If you love the vanillary sweet plastic smell that dolls used to have (maybe still have?) and you like rose scents then you will like this. I think this could be an all season wear too. Currently using it in summer heat and it's very nice it may potentially last longer in colder weather ( I hope) I'll update this in autumn/winter if it does.

christinky

This does remind me of Delina, like many say. The rose is more prominent, though. It reminds me just a little of Mancera Roses Vanille. It definitely has more fruit, though. At first spray I get blasted with Smuckers grape jelly. It settles into a cottony softness, though a touch of the jelly does remain. Smells more expensive than what I paid for it (about $32). It's very nice, but doesn't last long on me. I will enjoy it from time to time in the spring and summer, but probably not repurchase, as I prefer scents that stay with me longer.

Edit: Over the quarantine period I find myself craving this. The rose is so beautiful and soft and comforting, and it is quietly elegant in what is a currently ugly and frightening society. Rose Extase has an antidepressant/ anti-anxiety quality. It is my lovely little comfort. Again, I do wish it lasted longer. However, since I am stuck at home I am reapplying it as needed, and it is so enjoyable! I think it is my favorite of the L'Extase group, and I think I shall repurchase after all.

A sparkling & magical pink sugary rose with juicy berry opening. She's classy, unique and feminine.

I love this...when i smell it I think of rose taffy.

This perfume ticks every box. The design of the bottle is pure 1950s vintage elegance, like something Marilyn Monroe might have had on her dressing table. Heavy enamelled flesh pink glass with gold trim. The first blast of this is roses, berries, raspberries, gentle candy vanilla, musk and a hint of baby powder - all quite cherubic. It dries down into a gourmand makes-upy raspberry-rose, which is extremely beautiful and very very feminine. The comparisons with Delina are true but this is a blunter version, nowhere near as accomplished, but I actually prefer this and find it more glamorous. It’s very modern in its character, but it also carries a potent vintage vibe. Wearing this does make me feel a little like Marilyn...

Scent Spotlight: Rose Extase by Nina Ricci

Esteemed Parfumeur Francis Kurkdjian joined Maïa Lernout in crafting this rosy lady. She is a cross between Delina and Tresor Midnight Rose. I am not a huge fan of the latter, though I do own it. Tresor Midnight Rose is a monstrous almost asphyxiating berry scent. The rose in Tresor is smothered in a jammy mess of overripe berries. However Nina Ricci’s Rose Extase uses the syrupy sweet berries as a confectioners sugar. The rose in Rose Extase is basically a Turkish delight, minus all of the nutty nuances found in the dessert. The elegance in Rose Extase is that the opening starts with a fresh rose similar to Delina and the berries are more subdued. Of course this does not have the same dimension as Delina and it is not even comparable in quality, but the profile of the Rose is the same. I wish this perfume provided a little more relief from the sweetness but overall I think this is a lovely syrupy rose.⁣

MixedTastes

A lovely, uncomplicated fragrance.

Candied raspberry-rose-vanilla at first sniff, drying down to a raspberry musk and eventually a soft, rose musk.

Feminine, charming, easygoing. No drama here. Just a pretty pink cloud of loveliness.

This, right here is an understated beauty. The asthetics of the bottle, the pink vibes; somehow reminds me of the much talked about Delina Parfum de Marly. It was a blind buy and the bottle draws me in.
But, the rose here is syrupy, sweet and sophisticated. I will compare it to my other sweet rose perfume, Valentina Pink, which is in the same vibes. This is also extremely long-lasting and have an amazing sillage. Gorgeous!

I have the original L'Extase as well as Extase Caresse de Roses. The Rose Extase is my second favorite of the three. It takes the sweetness of the original L'Extase (my favorite of this line by a mile) and amplifies it, while omitting the dark spiciness of the original. The creamy pink bottle perfectly represents what's inside.

Rose Extase is much sweeter and much more gourmand than I was expecting. The overall impression to my nose is a soft, creamy, raspberry vanilla marshmallow. It smells edible in a literal sense. If you've ever eaten Campino candies, this smells a lot like the strawberry version. The Rose blooms very gently as the scent develops, but the strongest impression is sweet fruity vanilla.

This fragrance feels very youthful to me. It's something I would have loved to wear in middle school or high school. I'm not sure how this will be received by the 30+ crowd, but as a 32 year old myself, I plan to wear this on days that I want to feel cozy and nostalgic for the simple joys of adolescence.

In terms of performance, this is a powerful fragrance with excellent longevity. Be careful not to over-spray.

As a side note: I'm considering layering this with Extase Caresse de Roses which I find way too cold and sharp. The soft, billowy sweetness of this one might take the edge off. I'll update with my results.

I've recieved many compliments because of this beautiful scense. I LOVE the soft sweetness and flower in it, its not too fresh, yummy and lovely! I adore it <3

CoffeeCup

She is the epitome of a rose perfume. She's impeccable. And I love her for exactly this reason.

She is also the well-mannered grown-up self of Tresor Midnight Rose. Whereas Midnight Rose is an obnoxious, loud, way out of the line (any line) teenager with smeared eye makeup and psychedelic lipstick (or is she just a simple psychopath), this one is a sociable lady who sits up straight in her pink pencil skirt, and definitely knows how to hold her teacup, and a conversation. Yes, I see duchess slant, thick silk blouse, possibly with a pussy bow, and slightly mischievous smile on her rosy lips. Yes, all that. Rose marmalade on her scones included.

This is what I imagine Kate Middleton would smell like. Although I bet she doesn't smell anything like that at all. Too obvious.

Anyhow. It's a silky jammy rose with an uplifting sweet facet of raspberries. And musk somewhere buried underneath. I think I might fall in love with it. And I'll possibly finish this bottle (haven't happened to me in some 10 years... coz I just don't like finishing my bottles), and move on to the deep-dark sister of L'Extase Rose Absolue next.

Update on day2: I might buy a back up of this understated stunner. Its the same gorgeous rose as in my beloved (and discontinued) Miracle So Magic.

Saina

It's the smell of heaven !🌸

jnbeams

A classy frag, as you can expect from Kurkdjian. Rose, yes, with something buttery that rounds it out. Yummy.

Rozan

Soft rose wrapped in juicy, berry sweetness and sprinkled with rose talcum. Confiture, uncomplicated, and at the same time classy, however there is something missing that would break sweetness. It can be overwhelming.

ismellsogood

The bottle is weighty like a vintage bottle. It’s very pretty! A gorgeous design. Beautiful pink and gold highlights.

Spritz... a HUGE rose bomb.
Powder and a very intense classic jammy rose. WOW!
This has amazing silage and longevity.
The roses smell genuine and pulpy and classic as if the whole concoction has been fermented in rose water, rose jam and dusted with sweetened talc!
Hug anyone?

I really like this but be warned it can be overwhelming! It lasts on my skin and clothing in to the next day

For the rose lovers , definetley try this beauty.

PricklyAndHot

Catchy a little bit lipstick rose.
I like it!

Fight_Flora

To be honest, I bought it mainly because of the bottle. Nice scent for every day but not a complicated one. Mostly I smell rose and raspberry. However, it's very long lasting. 2 sprays in the morning, and I can still smell it at night.

szaboesz

Rose extract. Period. I do not detect anything else. Smells like rose water. Pleasant enough, but is it enough for a perfume?

tommy_girl

I'm almost optimistic about nina ricci fragrances and try to smell the newest ones in hope of finding something similar to my beloved "les belles de ricci" series. I wasn't expecting to discover any similarity here, but did not expect to smell something like this either.
Rose extase starts with a pure rose scent. It's a kind of pink spring rose that is fresh, innocent and modern. Maybe I expected a more powdery touch, as it is the case in rose perfumes like paris, but the current smelling is also ok with me.
Later, red berries thrive. wait a minute. To me it smells almost exactly like lancome tresor midnight rose! Only maybe a little milder.well, if I want something like lancome midnight rose, I go for it, not for this one. Now, I'm not saying that Rose Extase lacks originality (which almost all perfumes lack nowadays, due to huge number of perfumes), but I'm saying it doesn't have anything to convince me to have it. It might be a safe gift for a young girl who is yet exploring perfume world, but that's all.

mariahedenstrom

It's sweet, but in a good way! The rose is the star, the tangy berries are there to balance the scent then comes the slight touch of vanilla and musk to round it off. When I wear this I keep thinking mmmm what smells do nice? oh! it's me :)

Eguam

Nice, though there's nothing special about it. Strong scent of roses and berries, but that's it. Sillage is soft to moderate, and it lasts a couple hours on my skin.

heidibubbletea

Very sweet-juicy but bland in my opinion, gorgeous bottle, nothing complex, like many girly perfumes out there, no depth, nothing more.

Nil3

Too much berries.
Not sour berries , sweet berries.
If the sugared berries would've been just toned down to dry , sour berries .....

But I can see where people love it.
Anyone with a sweet tooth would LOVE it.
Very girly , and the opposite of Black XS , by paco Rabanne.
Paco is almost unisex , dry , woody, spicy and dark.
This is juicy , sweet and bright.

It's a young fragrance , too sweet for my taste , with not much personality.

Very long lasting.

Astar

It is extremely similar to EL Modern Muse Le Rouge. Main notes are almost identical, which is not bad news for those who seek them (like myself). Nina Ricci is however a little simpler and more basic, with less intensity and longeivity of wear. Fruity, sprinkly, full of red berries and sweetness.

tahia_loky

Dulce fuerte olor a rosas con frutos rojos. Para dia absolutamdnte recomendado paara mujeres ejecutivas maduras.

susieqrj

I barely smell rose on this fragrance: its all about raspberry, and a very loud one.

iamoir

It starts in a sweet rosy way, turns a little fresh, little sugary as a grapefruit, but then settles in a non gourmand sweet rose. The musk here is quite prominent in my opinion. Softly syrupy, boozy, wine-like, but most importantly really rosey. This is how I thought Tresor Midnight Rose will smell like, but unfortunately it turned out being a praline grape bomb with a plasticky feel and no rose.

Thankfully, we have Rose Extase now. Worthy of a testing in my opinion. The rose is the exact same as in Body Burberry, which I like, it's a beautiful rose, but in Rose Extase it has a sweet balmy facet, like La Vie Est Belle EDT Florale, which has a flirty sweetness, worthy of a sniffing as well and not a cloying walking block of sweetness like its mother.

It has something chic in it. Very happy, optimistic and feminine!
And I don't even like sweet scents for the most part, but this is a yes. Good job Nina Ricci!

ScarlettX

I think this is the best perfume from that line. Very good composition of rose, red berries and raspberry.
I sense those notes equally and I like it!
Quite enjoyable fruity fragrance, I totally recommend to try it.
I think they really nailed it this time.

mudpach

What a lovely scent! The base is Caresse with a lots of roses and they the shining, sparkling head and heart are fuity-sweets. Fresh, soft-delight scent, one word: lovely. I like it!

COSMICSCENTS

I am drooling over this bottle! Just lovely!
