This smells so good on my skin and it lasts the whole day, even the next day. At first there's a kind of antiseptic scent that reminds me of a first aid kit or the nurse's office (Edit: they kinda smell like bandages?). Then all I can smell is a rich but not cloying vanilla cake-like smell that I want to keep smelling on my wrist. It's so addictive. Please tell me how many spritzes I can spray that's not too offensive? I love this scent but don't want to give people around me a headache. I'm wearing this in the summer because we only just get either summer or rainy days, but the office is airconditioned so it's wearable. I had my apprehensions before deciding to buy the full bottle because I usually do not like gourmands and do not want to smell like food. But this is a mature type of vanilla with some spice not the girlish sweet kind. That said, I don't recommend it if you're going to be out in the sweltering heat, because this can get syrupy in hot weather (it's that rich), unless you're into that? Btw when I spritzed it on my wrist there were a few gold flecks. It felt really special.

Since Loubirouge by Christian Louboutin isn't available in my country I was recommended Lune Feline. Wow, what a disappointment it was... Lune Feline has an extremely loud smoky note that straight up smells like smoked meat or a sweaty hotdog. I've been a vegetarian for 20 years so it literally made me gag. Who thought it was a good idea to mix two notes as delicious as vanilla and cardamom with something as disgusting as a hotdog? It's not just my skin, it smells exactly the same on paper to my nose. Oh, how I wish I could find a real dupe of Loubirouge (or the real deal, of course), because Lune Feline is NOT it. 1/10.

one of the best warm/spicys i've tried recently!! it's gotta be my fav next to commodity milk- it hits the perfect balance between amber/vanilla and cinnamon/spice. warm, woody, but not overwhelmingly so- like a pot of chai brewing on the stove layered with soft, cozy musks and some comforting green notes throughout. a lovely F/W compliment getter.

First and foremost, not really sure who I think I am wearing this, haha. Certainly not a mother of boys, a wearer of almost exclusively vintage t-shirts and cutoff denim shorts, an introvert who leaves the house mostly only to grocery shop. Regardless, this is the most addictive--I CAN'T put my left hand down. It's like..."oh...oh! oh...? ohhhhh!" And I'm sure I'll fall asleep tonight with my hand snugly up against my face.

I think it's easy to assume this is special because of the presentation, the price, the reputation it's had for some time now. But it's not until you get to know it for yourself that you realize just how special it is; and it's not because of the gold flakes, or much of anything, really. I think it's because, as someone else said far down below, this perfume chooses the wearer and I fully concur. I'm all but ready to hit "checkout" but this little voice inside my head—not sure who invited HER—asks if I really need it. Whoever she is, she must be new here lol

I think I am having a fully different experience from everyone in these reviews, because on me this smells absolutely beautiful. It smells sexy, sweet but not sickenly sweet, quite seductive actually. From the get-go this is a vanilla musky bomb and I have had my date ramble about just how amazing I smell and that he can't really concentrate on anything because I just smell too good. All in all, I really do like it! I guess skin chemistry plays a big part when it comes to this perfume...

Fragranooga

LOVE this. I was worried it was going to be 90% vanilla propped up with a little smoke note but the smoke REALLY comes through as it dries. Almost reminds me of bbq in a not-at-all-bad way. Those are definitely the main two things I'm getting here, but it's a very nice smokey vanilla. Not sure about performance and projection yet - sprayed one spritz on my arm and it doesn't seem to be radiating super hard or be exceptionally strong but I've also been constantly sniffing it and have probably made myself half noseblind.

I have no idea how to rate luna feline. I love cardamom in my cooking i use it with every thing savory or sweat, but apparently i don't like it at all in my fragrances, first in gres charnel extrait then in luna feline, it ruined both scents for me, for some reason it's the only thing i can smell, maybe i'm too sensitive to the smell of it.

I bought a 30 ml bottle of this because everyone and thier mother said it's one of the best vanilla perfumes ever and vanilla is my favorite note, if a perfume has any type of vanilla or vanilla like notes it's usually the first scent i detect even in the opening of a perfume except in perfumes with cardamom as a top note, it covers everything else and stays linear like that on my skin as if i rubbed a cardamom pod to my arm. What a disappointment

petra_ita

I've been wanting to try this for the longest time. Wow. It's absolutely not blind buy safe. Very woody, smoky, cardamom bomb, not sweet at all. I appreciate the scent, but it's not for me.

churinl

I've been wearing this one for about an hour - two spritzes on my inner elbow - and all I have to say about it is YUCK. I get that people enjoy unusual scents, animalic, oudy, medicinal, plastic, vinyl, and what not, but this is so terrible on me that unless someone wants to trade for my Fragrancenet travel cannister ( I'm up for most any thing else), in the trash it goes.
I don't mind unusual, but this is where I draw the line. I now know that an overdose of cardamom is not my friend, though a smaller amount with different notes can work gloriously.
PM me if interested.

I know people say that a perfume cannot be described as sexy/seductive etc. Well, they haven’t smelled Lune Feline! It is captivating! The dark elements create mystery, but the sweet notes make it sensual and approachable! It was a love at first sniff for me. I wear this naked to bed, it’s my go-to for formal occasions. I love it for a night out, for date night etc. I feel even sexier when I reach for it. It’s so well done and the bottle looks and feels luxe. It lasts a reasonable amount of time, and while it’s quite expensive, I believe it is value for money. It’s an absolute love for me and the perfume that was my gateway to this brand. 10/10 and will repurchase.

Lune Feline is a spicy vanilla, with a spectacular cardamom note, slightly smoky, with herbal aspects. I would dare to say that what I smell in this sense is angelica. As the drydown progresses it feels more balsamic but it does not become a heavy perfume nor is it excessively sweet, it is not a pastry vanilla. I also perceive an animalic aspect to it but it is extremely subtle and I don't think it would bother anyone, although it does give it a distinctive personality to the fragrance.

For me the con of this fragrance is that on my skin, after the first hour in which it really shines, it has a soft sillage and lasts only about 5-6 hours.

It distantly reminds me of Byredo's Vanille Antique which, however, does not have the green aspects and is much more powerful, something that adds to the fact that I like it much more. It doesn't remind me of By The Fireplace, much smokier than Lune Feline to my nose.

This is a nice vanilla to me but I personally wouldn't buy the full bottle.

Epoch_of_perfume

Oh, wow, this is NOT blind buy safe. I’m glad I didn’t take the risk this time! I love all the scents people compare this to but this is extremely medicinal. It’s not a creamy warm vanilla, it’s very Vicks vapor rub and it lingers forever. I thought I’d be safe since people compare this to Duelle by Diptyque, it’s nothing like it. I’ll use my little decant but sadly not full bottle worthy to me.

melancholybaby

Lovely opening notes, captivating. As this developed I could detect the medicinal note that so many have alluded to. It was almost like a metal eucalyptus note, but it stayed in the background. It was the vanilla that I found was the center of the composition on my skin. Will wear the sample again, but not sure if a full bottle is in my future.

billycorna

A love at first sniff. I was walking around the mall waiting for a meeting and accidentally got into a sniffing session in one department store. Was not expecting anything until I came to this scent. Packaging-wise it was beautiful on the display, like, REALLY beautiful. The juice is golden, with actual gold leaves in it. Turns out that it smells amazing upon spraying, especially on my skin. As a vanilla-lover, I think that this fragrance is specifically a levelled-up vanilla scent. This is not your sickly sweet or a sticky-kind-of vanilla. This one has depth. Balsamic, a bit musky and woody. Very rich-smelling vanilla.

I couldn't forget the scent to the point that I had a dream about it, so I ended up buying full bottle. Did not disappoint. Will treasure this forever.

Sissen

Very beautiful fragrance. A spicy and smoked vanilla, absolutely not sweet, super elegant. Very similar to Eau Duelle EDP (Diptyque) but Lune Féline is slightly more complex and smells a bit more « wealthier ». A superb fragrance… but it suddenly and completely disappears !! I even wondered if I was smelling the right spot on my wrist. After 3 hours, it was there. After 3 hours and 5 minutes, it was gone. Longevity is not my first criteria but… man, at this price point, it’s a big no for me, despite the quality of the smell.

Pampelmousse

Vanilla and hot ceramic brakes. Stunning.

89.scents

i see where the reviews can call this medicinal as it does have a certain Vicks vaporub vibe in the beginning. But after 30 mins it turns into an earthy, smokey vanilla with camphorous traces. It’s different and also familiar. Certainly nostalgic. It has a moody fragrance profile which is edgy but not something I would reach for often.

cheleine

I was scared to try this based on some people’s comments here and now I come to realize that those people are either extremely unfortunate with their skin chemisty or just don’t understand the composition because they bought into the hype and had different expectations or they have completely untrained noses and just wanted this for the lovely bottle with the gold flakes.
Either way, to me, this is exactly as I would expect from the notes profile here. No weird notes.
Slightly spicy because of that beautiful aromatic cardamom and cinnamon in the opening.
The vanilla feels rich and luxurious, it’s a stunner.
The balsam adds to how deep, warm and personal Lune Feline feels. I really really like it and consider getting a full bottle at some point.
Best suited for winter, all occasions.
Moderate to good performance.

BETHJANINEUNA

I don’t know if this is the case of “the emperors new clothes”, in these reviews, or I’ve had a bad sample. The astringency of the scent is very sharp. Medicinal, in a bad way. I really want to love it and can barely stand it. I have By the Fireplace and it is a completely different experience.

rundevilrun

For me, this is a realistic Chai Latte scent; it's spicy and subtly sweet to me, it doesn't change much on my skin. Projects well. It's sexy and deep. Personally, I love it.

Anastasia.A

Thick, ambery, slightly dirty, medicinal vanilla, I don't like vanilla. A scrubber for me. 3/10

aviegravy

Very lovely refined sweet vanilla. I wouldn't describe it as spicy or smoky. The cardamom in the opening lent a sort of spiced-butter-cookie feel that I was really enjoying, but the dry down was oddly unimpressionable.

dlst08

It feels wrong to say this of such a ridiculously expensive fragrance, but I like Lune Feline because it's basic - pure just-torched creme brulee, no abstraction, no concept. Every now and then it's nice to walk around smelling like dessert.

stacyr8a

I had high hopes for this one. The opening smelled like rotting or sour cedar in a basement. After it dried down, the amber and vanilla really came through and I thought it was fine. But then I just kept getting whiffs of that rotting wood smell. I guess it's just my nose because this had decent reviews.

aniton

A spicy flirty vanilla, which to me is just ok. My nose detects animalic note in it so the name is fitting. It's quite dense, but projection is not too strong.

deeshla57

I have to face the facts. Most of these amber/spicy fragrances are stinkbombs that hate me and my body chemistry. On paper I was sure that I would love this - cardamom, amber, cedar, vanilla. . . . But it goes immediately to embalming fluid. I smell like a recently embalmed corpse when I wear this - it actually makes my lips feel numb. The formaldehyde is clinical, sterile, and devoid of nuance. It makes me dizzy. A dizzy numb corpse. But at least the bottle is pretty??

SilkyWoods

I am in love with this

Caprisumn

Cardamom slapped me in the face. The more I smell the more I like. A really cool girl would wear this.

Annabelsnose

I am so confused by this. I get zero cardamom. Definitely not a spicy, smoky vanilla, all I smell is bland, tame, bandaid. I was thinking I got the wrong fragrance sample but others have stated the same thing. Crazy and so disappointing. Skin chemistry is baffling.

SmellySal

If you're looking for a sugary sweet, whipped frosting vanilla: look elsewhere. This is an intense, sexy, smoky, woody, spicy vanilla-- a bring him to his knees, strut in slow mo away from a burning building vanilla. Then the fire dies down and you're left floating on a cardamom vanilla cloud to heaven and back. There are other high quality fragrances in this same ballpark to be sure, but something about Lune Feline blends so well with my skin chemistry that it sends me into a special kind of reverie. It's somehow elegant, sexy, and intimate all at once. My go to bombshell fragrance for classy evenings out. Cold weather highly recommended.

Littlebeans3

Man I have complicated feelings about this one. I hate the opening which smells like bandaids and something medicinal and immediately was like nope 👎🏻. Then about 15 minutes later it starts to totally transform into a beautiful smoky vanilla. The opening bugs me so much though not sure if I would get bc of that

Toasty-shmoes

She’s giving Nishane “Ani” in the opening and closing with Geurlain’s “Spiritulouse Double Vanille”. If you love both of these, Lune Feline is a no brainer! It’s a little too heavy for me, but this is a glorious fragrance with excellent lasting power. Smells better the longer it sits on the skin.

shmellow

What can be said about this magical bottle that hasn't already been said....? This is a scent that I will CRAVE for if I don't use it for a few days - especially in winter.

This is more than a fragrance. It's medicine for the soul. It's a potion for your wishes. It's a balm for the heart. It settles into the nooks and crannies of your unspoken desires, your unhealed wounds, and your unseen beauty.

It amplifies your power through showcasing your vulnerability. It lifts your spirits up by giving you the embrace and warm hug you need. It delights and surprises you throughout the day as you catch wafts of the scent in most unexpected moments.

nataliabaraonda

Perfect spicy vanilla for fall

Neverapeoplepleaser

I was excited, actually very excited, to get my hands on a sample of this after all of the hype.
This is just not nice at all on my skin. Something really doesn't work...I feel like it could be the green notes fighting the musk? I mean I do love a good amount of funk...but this smells very unbalanced. I feel like my skin chemistry is pulling all the wrong notes together. Smells like carbolic soap, heavy vanilla, something green and dirty musk. It's a big no from me on this one. I also think this is way over hyped and overpriced.

In Fragrant Bliss

A modernized feminine version, with added sweetness & vanillic tones, of Musc Ravageur. That the Frederic Malle one was launched a decade & a half prior and since then there has been innumerable developments in molecular chemistry, is hardly reflected in the quality of ingredients, especially for the price charged.
That said, the blending & construction, lends the final outcome to exceed expectations.
Therefore, objectively its an "OK" for me.

It's been a while since I fell in love with a fragrance but Lune Feline swept me off my feet. It was unexpected and not my usual preferred scent profile. I can't explain why and it won't be for everyone but it is SO good. If you're looking for a cold weather head turner, this is the one ❤️

Mllemarie

Short story: I adore this fragrance.
First time I got my nose on this fragrance I was uncertain. The cardamon was heavy, and there was this burning rubber tire smell that I was initially turned off by. However the more I smelt it, the more I liked it. The burning rubber lessened, the cardamon was more appreciated and I was able to smell the vanilla more. I bought myself a full bottle and it has become one of my favorite fragrances that I think will be in my collection for the rest of my life. I do need to be cautious on over spraying this as it can become too much for me the wearer, so 2 sprays I find is perfect.

Its spicy cardamon with Vanilla, woods and some musk that is a dryer mid sweet. Uncertain about the silage or projection but its definitely a performer in my eyes with good longevity.
Can we also give some appreciation to the bottle? Its heavy glass, the shape is luxurious and the cap itself is hefty. The beautiful little gold flecks makes it extra boujee which is a nice touch for the quality of this presentation.
A+

WGG

Smokey bandaid dries to a mellow, slightly sweetened cardamom and vanilla. Reminded me a bit of a real quality creme anglaise. Moderate performance. Feminine leaning. Its very lovely and refined but also very expensive and tbh, not sure its worth it. 3.5/5

LLdeduction

Mostly a dry vanillic, cardamom, woody scent with a perfect amount of sweetness. There's a slight animalistic tinge in the background to add some unique character.

Pretty well done scent overall, and performs nicely.

Bibi16

This is a cardamom bomb with some pink pepper and a dash of cinnamon !! Very spicy, bold and daring. This is not a gourmand nor edible scent at all but damnn is it good!! I love this but will only wear in the coldest of winters because otherwise it will choke you and those around you. The notes are very well blended, has the right amount of sweetness to make it wearable or else it would've been a spice market. The vanilla is far far at the back, I get no musk.

This with a long fluffy coat in winter will be perfect 😍🔥

Bluerabbit

Sometimes there is a fragrance that offends so badly, you wonder how anyone on earth could ever bear to spray it, willingly, anywhere let alone sell it. I sadly do not *get* this fragrance at all. I wanted to; the reviews had me enchanted imagining the perfect warm colder month scent. The notes are well blended to me, I can’t really pick them out from each other besides some vanilla and cinnamon with a little pepper. It’s so odd, I like all the notes in this fragrance but together it only smells like one thing: flouride at the dentist. The flavored flouride paste that they place in a mouth tray and you sit with in your mouth gagging for 10 minutes. Do they still do it that way? I don’t know but it smells exactly like it. It’s actually kind of mind blowing how identical the scent is. If that was the intention of the perfume, I’d be impressed. But alas it is not. After about 4 hours of anxiously waiting for any sort of dry down or change in this fragrance, it did finally mellow a bit and turned into stale Big Red cinnamon gum, when it’s gotten really dried out and hard. I can smell the powdered sugar stuck to the stale cinnamon. Flouride is still singing a tune in the background though, tauntingly. I almost want to gag, or is it just memories of the dentist? I can’t believe this scent is this off putting for me. I had a 2ml of this one, can see the beautiful gold flakes in it, must be legitimate from Scent Split. Sigh. Sorry Lune Feline!

Christinageor10

This beauty truly brings out the feline within and I find myself reaching for it when I'm feeling extra sexy to begin with.
Lune Feline truly shines in the cooler weather and I prefer to wear her in the evenings. Definitely a special occasion fragrance or one I reach for when I want to feel special at home.

The opening has a medicinal feel as other reviewers have mentioned, but it's part of the beautiful journey of this fragrance. I get a steady dose of cardamom that softens into the dry down. Grounded by Peru balsam and the beautiful vanilla shines the most in the dry down. An absolutely stunner and one I am reaching for frequently now that it's cooling down. A full bottle worthy masterpiece and the bottle is a work of art. 10/10 😍❤️

As a Vanilla lover I am testing out anything and everything I can get my hands on and as such, have smelled and purchased a variety. Upon first whiff of this I realized I had a juice in my cabinet that was nearly identical—Whispers in the Library, a beloved favorite of mine that’s sadly discontinued. Comparing the notes they share—woodsy notes, cedar, vanilla, and pepper. As such I’ve been naming this one 2.0 with its larger note list.

Burning woods, spice, vanilla—the only thing that veers this off course further in the dry down is a more fleshed out insensé smell that merges with the sweetness happening and gives this perfume just a touch more “oomph,” than it’s little sister.

Eventually, when I run out of Whispers in the Library I’ll pick up a larger decant of this perhaps since the other is discontinued.

aaronmilic

If I've learned anything about myself in 2023 it's that I will pretty much buy any fragrance where vanilla is the obvious dominant note.

I bought this solely on the fact that I kept seeing its name pop up whenever I researched Babycat from YSL. For me they are only similar in that they are both vanilla fragrances. This is a softer, smoother vanilla with a slight tang when you first apply it. Babycat is stronger and has that incense note that makes it special.

Between the two I still prefer Babycat but I do love this.

xorosexo

Man I really wanted to hate this for my wallet's sake lol bad luck for me I'm in love. The cinnamon in the opening gives this vibe that reminds me of Hot Tamales the candy - in a good way! It's got this candied spice thing going but that quickly mellows when the cardamom and woods come in to balance it out. This is just outstanding and I can't wait to get a full bottle.

Sunshinebeach

I really want to like it but it smells exactly like bandaids. And doesn't face into anything other than that, at least on me.
I wanted to compare babycat with lune feline and babycat wins.

Overpriced

Tapinview

This hits the perfection, desert island, button for me. I risked buying a travel spray without being able to sample or try anything out here in the Australian bush, knowing that I can’t go wrong with vanilla. It’s also a testament to the fact that in most things, humans have so much in common and know what we like in beauty and art. It’s loved and popular.
It opens with a luminous warm spice, allegedly cardamom, probably synthetic but beautiful. Compared with many commercial and indie perfumes it is persistent, multi faceted, classical in its trajectory. It has a long oriental dry down of vanilla. I can tell there is simply a combination of currently allowed aroma chemicals. It’s so ironic, for those of us that cut our teeth on the monuments of old, that natural oils and extracts are taboo. All this diatribe was spawned by realising that the really nice ‘Apres’ by Ellis is a denatured riff on this beautiful thing.
I’m scared to drop the cash on a full bottle. Will it be diluted and denatured? Even in a few months? The commercial perfume consumer industry rolls on, oblivious to art and beauty.

WitchQueen

9/10 When I first got this I thought it was a masterpiece! I loved the vanilla, the cardamon, the smokiness. I thought it was mysterious and sexy, yet wearable. However, my husband nearly ruined this fragrance for me by describing what notes he smelled. He smells a savory food that's not bad but not what I want to smell like. But now I smell it and while the note isn't strong it does take some of the joy out of the experience of wearing this.

astrorocks

Immediate love for me. Firstly, I love vanillas - especially dark, woody and/or smoky ones. Secondly, I love a strong spicy note in a fragrance (give me all the cinnamons, cardamoms, and cloves). Thirdly, I love woody notes and I don't like powdery scents. This one pretty much blasted me with a hit of peppery, spicy vanilla with a hint of fragrant red wood. It definitely had a medicinal quality at the opening which, personally, I don't mind (it was a nice medicinal note, not a sharp or acrid one). But that goes away fast. So hard to capture this one in a single image. Imagine that a girl spritzed a normal, sweet vanilla fragrance...then went to a bonfire where they were burning cedar and, also, she ate some very peppery food...like Filipino Chicken Adobo (for the pepper! not the vinegar or chicken). On the dry down, it stays pretty complex. Maybe goes a bit sweeter, the vanilla comes out more. But it is not a super sweet vanilla and it isn't the main takeaway here - the vanilla stays balanced and blended with those hits of cardamom spice, earthy woodiness, and spicy pepper. I do not normally like pepper notes, but this is so well balanced and blended nothing comes out. There is the slightest hint of powder here from the musk which, again, I normally don't always like but I have to reference how well balanced and blended this is. No single note screams at you, even on the dry down. Sillage is fairly moderate. Honestly, and you'd need to spritz yourself a few times to get a huge sillage (which, generally, I'm not a fan of people doing because it hurts some people who are sensitive). Lasts a long time on the skin. I can honestly see myself wearing this all year, but I get that it's MORE for fall and winter - I am still voting this as something I'd wear all the time, if in the right mood. This is warm, spicy, comfy...but with an edge. Your favorite knit sweater, but it's got a curse word engraved on it or something a little avante garde. This one is like 8.5/10 for me. The only thing that keeps me from rushing to buy is that musky note which kind of bothers my nose as it stays on all day. I am going to try it again and see.

Sniffathon

This is the definition of niche. You either hate it or love it. And you definitely need to be a seasoned niche aficionado to appreciate Lune Feline’s complex beauty.

The opening is a strong and intriguing blast of cardamom and spices with quite an intense smokiness. I’m not a fan of smoky fragrances but it doesn’t bother me at all, in fact it lends beautifully to the complexity. The opening translates as medicinal, and I think at this point is where it may lose most people. It certainly lost me the first time I tried it early in my perfume journey. It vaguely reminds me of a doctors surgery for some reason.
As it dries down, the smokiness dissipates, the spices tone down, and the balsamic-woody heart develops. I think the Fragrantica pyramid is quite accurate here - I don’t consider this a vanilla based fragrance, rather “vanilla-accented”.
A lot of the reviews compare this to By The Fireplace, which although is from the same perfumer, is chalk and cheese in my opinion. Yes they share similar notes but it’s like comparing a $200 watch to a $20,000 one.

A true masterpiece. NOT a safe blind buy. My only concern when wearing it is that the people around me will not be ready for its magnificence.

Grumpa

Swore I left a review but can’t seem to find it… this is an update not on the scent but the lasting power. After leaving it sitting for probably 9 months I’m wearing it in 80 degree weather and it’s lasting for 6+ hours and still pushing.. maceration ftw.. hopefully it’s booming like this in fall and winter. My only regret is over spraying it so much before.. 1/4 of the bottle gone for nothing.

gourmandgyaani

coming back to leave a comment after ages - still my top 3 perfumes of all time, now and forever.
this was love at first sniff. perfect for North Indian winters / monsoon and winter throughout the country. cold rainy nights - what a vibe. love love love. masterpiece.

krabr89

I agree with the review below that I immediately thought of Masala Chai. However, I do enjoy the scent and think it would be perfect to wear in the fall. Heavy on the cardamom.

TheBombayBrunette

I read so many reviews for Lune Feline so went to try this out in the store; it straight up smells like Masala Chai to me! I expected something sexy, spicy, vanilla-y but I got milky, spicy tea which is made in my Indian home every day and is definitely not something I'd want to smell of. Didn't even feel like trying it out on my skin. Definitely not a safe buy.
Can anyone recommend a sexy white floral fragrance from Atelier Des Ors?

Moonriver212

Straight to the top of my favorite fragrances! This is a beautiful and alluring smell. I was nervous that it will not work with my skin chemistry like a lot of people mentioned how it reacted with theirs, but fortunately for me it is just divine. I couldn’t stop smelling myself all day. I can’t wait until it gets cooler so I can wear it all the time.

Some reviews online mentioned that this reminds them of Babycat. I absolutely love Babycat but I think this one is a little bit more interesting, especially the spices in the opening. Absolutely beautiful but try before you buy. The smokiness is quite intense and might not be to some people’s liking.

Sarasalwaysdyeing

Got a really good deal on a partial for this. I just love smelling myself all day with this on. It pairs really well with babycat fyi
I’m really picky with vanillas , maybe it’s not the most unique smell , but I’m okay with that.

ntabassum92

At first, I didn't feel the hype, because it just smelled like another woody, spicy vanilla to me. The opening of Lune Feline is heavy on the cardamom and cinnamon, quite spicy. But the drydown does make my eyes roll back in my head. It's that rich drowning kind of vanilla that makes you sniff endlessly and nuzzle up. I still don't think it's unique, but it is good. And the gold flecks on your skin stick around and definitely add a little something special to your day.

Paperdress

I'm so bummed this doesn't work with my skin chemistry - on paper this perfume sounds fantastic, but I'm one of the unfortunate souls who primarily gets medicinal, funky musk - with a weak dash of vanilla and spice. I sampled the extrait as well as the EDP and have the same issue with both. Also, I can barely smell this even with a healthy application. Definitely test before you buy.

pinkfairygumdrop

I got a official boxed sample today. tbh the opening is a little more rough then I had imagined- smells medicinal/rubbery. but then an hour later it dries down to a beautiful musky vanilla. idk if i can get used to the opening, to be honest. I expected something a little smoother. I do really like the smoky cardamom note but it's very close to KEROSENE Sweetly Known, which I have and adore, and is muuuuch cheaper (but superb quality)
if you are a fan of this fragrance you know its very expensive, and truly, if I'm going to drop $300 on a fragrance I have to love it from beginning to end.
i love the drydown, the bottle, the gold flakes.....it IS a very beautiful scent.
I am going to keep testing it, maybe it will grow to a love, but until then I have plenty of fabulous smoky vanillas in my collection

Mc1995

Pretty, warm cozy vanilla. beautiful bottle. But a bit too Choco Musk-ish for me to justify the price.

Aroverie

I’ve sampled this on skin several times. Each time with equal measure of hope and dread. The youtube and tiktok reviews had me reeled all the way in that this was the vanilla of my dreams. A near blind buy. Noses are subjective, so take this how you may. I get the delicious vanilla that everyone raves about - but it takes a while to get here. It’s the smoky, burntish, ultra-resinous/balsamic hit that just wrecks my nose. I attribute this to the Peru Balsam which has given me the same vibe in other perfumes, but it’s seriously dialled up here. Evokes the feeling of wearing a beautiful perfume, much like this one, then standing over a coal barbecue all day. It’s in your clothes, it’s in your hair, it’s in your nose.

This one is a love for some and a hate for others. Do not blind buy.

NoMilkToday

TBF, I prefer By The Fireplace. It smells more les the same...Sillage and longevity are much better. As well as the price.

singlehandedbeauty

I was surprised when I smelled this and I disliked it so much because all the notes are right up my alley. I love me a good masculine-leaning spicy vanilla, but my nose really picks up on the musk and it smells super medicinal and unpleasant. I am really sensitive to certain musk and animalic notes and so it's definitely a me thing. I had the same issue with Absolute Aphrodisiac, which I was convinced I would love, but turned out to be a scrubber. Lune Feline isn't quite so repulsive, but definitely, test before you buy.

Aknisak

it reminds a lot Vanille de Tahiti of Perris Monte Carlo that I love.

Kanjo

For me, this is a masterpiece, my favourite of the 200+ fragrances I own, and the first time I smelled it I was moved to tears. It's everything I've always been looking for in a fragrance, that smoky vanilla, the cardamom, even the resemblance to By the fireplace (one of my favourites so far), the longevity! I spray this perfume in the morning and I smell it all day long, at night it's still a skin scent and it has survived even after a bath. I also bought the Extrait and it is even longer lasting (the cardamom is more noticeable in the Extrait, according to my nose). Although I bought it in cold weather, I am hoping to use Lune Feline all year round. The Extrait will definitely be for colder months. Both are a treasure, even though it pained me to buy Lune Feline as a blind-buy, the price I paid seems small for how long it lasts and how it makes me feel. I know it's not a fragrance for everyone, but it's perfect for me.

Kikita_maria

The drying is delicious, but I can't stand the smoky smell, it's as if you had been next to a roast meat... It's a unisex smell more towards the masculine.

Deelecto

Exceptional vanilla with warm cinnamon and balsamic amber backbone. The naming is perfect - this is ideal for a summer evening, and its touch of animalic honey just suggests a kitten’s rough lick.

The only thing I’d really have to be in the mood for is the dusting of gold body glitter that accompanies the spray … très Victoria’s Secret!

Annelieva

Amazing warm, spicy and smoky vanilla with insane longevity and very good projection. The opening reminds me of my granddad’s boathouse in rural Norway, a combination of tar, smoke and sea (in a good way!). Then it turns in to a delicious crème brûlée vanilla that makes you want to sniff your wrist all day. Works well in hot summer weather as well as in cooler months. Instant eternal love!

Charmedbymeghan

Just received a decant of this lovely vanilla fragrance. It is "like" at first sniff. I got cinnamon sticks right away (with a warm smokey vanilla)... I'm not much for cinnamon in my perfumes. But this really is lovely, so I will keep it around for the holidays and see how I feel about it then. If you want a spicy cinnamon-forward vanilla - this is FOR YOU!!!

Also, it really is worth the scroll to read the comment of:

Butterball

For all you Lune Feline lovers out there, there's a version that's 30% more concentrated, the extrait version. I had no idea, I recently discovered it a few weeks ago. It comes in a 100ml size. The bottle is the exact same as the original, it just says "Extrait" on it. I just purchased it last week and received it today. It's the base of the original totally amplified. You don't have to wait as long for the vanilla/ambergris/balsam combo. It's a little more expensive than the OG, but I'm telling you, it's worth every penny. Look it up and try it. You'll thank me.

Tee22

In the dry down, smells exactly like Loubirouge, which I own. I put both on either arm, and tested it out. They are both created by the same perfumer. Both lovely! Definitely to be worn in the cooler months.

Kingjames1.0

Great vanilla fragrance. It's very similar to Eau Duelle by Diptyque which came first. I prefer it over Lune Feline but it's still a great frag

feuermaiden

Completely in LOVE with this one. It's a smouldering, smooth vanilla with hints of cardamom and cinnamon and dries down to the most lovely vanilla musk. It's sooo cozy and fuzzy and warm.

I don't understand the burnt bacon and hotdogs references. I don't get burnt pork in the slightest. A City On Fire was absolutely straight up BBQ to me, but this is not that at all.

This one is going on my wishlist to purchase a full bottle as soon as I can!

Vicschmidtscents

Reeeaaallly dark amber forward. I get black resin, burnt plastic, and spices in the opening. Smells synthetic, hot, and sharp…. I’m SO surprised it’s voted as a feminine scent.

It sweetens up some in the dry down, but it’s still very dark, sharp, and spicy. And I can’t get over the rubber/plastic/synthetic kinda amber they used in here. It just smells bad. Even when layered with more vanilla, it’s just too spicy and harsh for my nose.

SA5001

I am getting mostly cardamom and vanilla custard. Its nice but I need to test it more.

psychedelicious

This is truly a love at first sniff for me. I discovered this about a year ago and today after months of saving I’ve invested in this literal lump of gold.

It’s sweet, it’s smoky, it’s sexy - it’s all I’ve ever wanted to radiate. Will be saving it for special occasions but it lasts all day so I’m basically set for life with one bottle.

Disclaimer: it’s a very unique fragrance so I would not blind buy this as some might find it too medicinal.

😂👌

Please give this manly man his own column at fragrantica. Would be his biggest fan. 👍

OH yeah, love Lune Feline but it's too smokey for me to wear as a scent, that drydown though...❤️

Walkingwisti

Smoky, spicy, iso e super. A modern dated fragrance. Not for me. Too much candle too little perfume. I feel like iso e super is the aldehyde of today. This will smell very very dated in the future.

windchime_00

The woods are intense in an intoxicating and smooth way! I smell cardamom but it's not a syrup at all, more like dry, ground, blended. The pepper makes it lean masculine to my nose or skin which has happened with a few other similarly rich scents, but it is undoubtably high quality.

It also smells like cat's fur to me in a really good way. Perhaps I'm the only one? Great for fall nights, special occasions of some kind.

I find the Eau Duelle EDP comparison interesting. I can see how they are both spicy, woody, and vanillic, but I find the spices a bit too edgy in Eau Duelle EDP (very different from the EDT which isn't even comparable to these two and very friendly flexible gently spiced vanilla). Luna Feline is better executed than ED EDP in my opinion.

To me it has similar depth as Dior Purple Oud, though there are still differences there too. I will have to test side by side and update.

sadiyam

reminds me of amouage meander

villiruusut

I've got a decant of this and wore it over Chistmas and it was such a delightful experience. I had a couple of spritzed on my wrist and dabbed the excess on my neck before heading out on Boxing Day in the UK. The air was crisp and cool and the perfume just felt so cosy and uplifting.

Trying it back in the equator made the perfume smell a lot more cloying and "sticky". Still a beautiful fragrance but the warm and humid weather doesn't do it justice.

Kind of similar to YSL Babycat but woodier, richer in spices and feels a little more festive (is it the spices or the gold flecks, or both?). A bit more robust and has more character than MM's By the Fireplace - the latter is more linear and straightforward imo and works better as a room scent (the candle is spectacular!) than a perfume.

Walkingwisti

This smells very similar to Attic by solstice scents.

vanrose

I really don't like to read reviews that claim that two perfumes smell exactly like one another. It's always so hard for me to believe that there are no significant differences between two scents. That being said, I sampled Lune Feline today and it smells, to me at least, exactly like Diptyque Eau Duelle EDP. I've worn ED for years and could not tell the difference when I sprayed one on each arm today.

Lune Feline is a peppery, spicy hit at the beginning, and the spices yield somewhat to a woody vanilla in the drydown. It's beautiful. I'll stick with ED because I already have a bottle and a backup bottle, but I love both!

sundayinheaven

Everytime I catch a whiff of this, it makes me think of grilling hot dogs over a camp fire. Someone else on here said burned bacon, which is another description I can get by. That, plus a sweaty dad after mowing the lawn an entire afternoon… I know this is not a love at first sniff for most people but after trying it twice and feeling nausiated both times, I probably won’t use this again. Ever. It’s not just not good it’s disgusting imo.

Msgr

I recently learned that I love the smell of cardamom and have been searching for cardamom based perfumes for a bit. A lot of reviews on you tube really talked up this fragrance so I decided to get a decant. At first smell I HATED it. I left it alone for about 20 min and still did not enjoy it. I was relieved because it carries a hefty price tag. So there it sat in my box for a month until I decided to try it one more time. It was a LOVE. I don't know what happened maybe I didn't use enough before or idk. The second time I tried it I absolutely loved it. It has a piney smell in the begining that dies down to a wonderful thick vanilla with that warm spiciness that really sticks around . Reminds me slightly of creme brulee with it's smokiness. Needless to say I have a full bottle coming in lol. Longevity is eternal on this and it sits pretty close to skin which I don't mind.

TipTopNotes

Very smoky, amber-y, and sweet. Like a vanilla-soaked campfire radiating an orange glow in the dark forest. Very thick scent, yet surprisingly modest projection. Maybe the thickness helps to keep it closer to the skin. It projects decently enough though. Not my cup of tea, as it's smokiness can be a bit much. Never really found a good use for it as I preferred Valentino Uomo Intense, Polo Red Extreme, and Sauvage Elixir during the colder seasons.

Though, when I get whiffs of it, the elements of the fragrance also put into my mind pictures of a maple bar donut topped with bacon. Smokiness for the bacon, the amber is the maple, and the sugar/vanilla is the sweetness. Makes my mouth water thinking about it.

deauxBabs

I love the taste and smell of cardamom and this perfume was exactly what I was looking for
-it is an unusual combination of cardamom and vanilla but it is blended so so well
-a showstopper of a fragrance with impeccable sillage you will leave the most intoxicating trail
-this fragrance is luxe and hard to hate

chasingfragrance

I bought a decant because of all the hype around this fragrance. I really wanted to like it, but to me it's not the beautiful balsamic spiced vanilla I'd hoped it would be. It reminds me of an old wooden closet that was at my grandparent's house as a kid. Mixed with the cologne smell of my grandpa. Sure, it brings out nice childhood memories, but this is not how I want to smell. A very dry and old woody smell to my nose. Too bad! :(

Lipsticksuzie

Happy Mother’s Day to me!! I have just opened my Mother’s Day gift from my husband and the kids and it’s this beauty! I’m on cloud 9, this scent is heavenly. So rich and decadent. I remember first trying this a while back and finding the opening quite challenging but loved the dry down after 5 minutes or so. I’m now finding that I don’t mind the animalic opening, in fact I quite like it, it’s unique, unusual and interesting. This perfume is expensive yes, but it smell’s expensive too. It’s one of the few that are actually justifiable for the price point. I’ve tried so many high end perfumes in my time and not many smell as luxurious as this. I would also like to add, If you love this one check out Rouge Saray from this house. It’s a 10/10 masterpiece in my humble opinion. It shares some similarities with this one but there’s definitely enough of difference to justify needing both in your collection.

Ronniello

Beautiful. Very sexy. Elegant.

Coffeeandscents

I have to come back and review this again. My journey has been, I disliked it on paper, then I loved it on my skin because the vanilla really takes over and warms up. To now I’m completely head over heels in love and wear this everyday. The magic happens on the skin, only the first few seconds are woody and smoky, with lots of cinnamon and it transforms into the most gorgeous delicious vanilla, a beautiful vanilla extract tinged with cardamom and cinnamon. This will forever be my favorite vanilla fragrance. It’s fresh cut wood with cinnamon and the most gorgeous vanilla and cardamom. Absolutely a masterpiece. I’m saving up to get the extrait version also.

Cocototo26

This scent actually took me awhile to like and then love. But when I tell you this scent is like magical and intoxicating I mean it. It reminds me of a vanilla chai cake eaten in a cozy magical cabin. The warmed vanilla is of course the star of the show. The cardamom, pepper and cinnamon are combined effortlessly with the vanilla and the tolu balsam, Ambergris and woods give it density and depth. All in all it i comforting, sexy and cozy in the colder weather. It also layers well with a lot of fragrances like Angles share.

Vanerolimusky

I disliked it on first spray- smells too medicinal. Even when the perfume's settled on my skin it's still too medicinal. Good thing I bought sample first, got curious 'cause it's too hyped on the internet.

klioux

Smoky vanillas are such consistent crowd pleasers, and Lune Feline is a heavyweight contender. My first time wearing this the sweetness was thick and overwhelming, like warm cardamom caramel syrup. The sweet balsamic note also has a noticeable twang for me, which makes my nose tingle just a bit. Now my nose picks up some deeper elements like wood smoke and resin which brings some more balance to the overall composition.

I like this a lot, but I almost always like complex vanilla-forward scents. This one, as lovely as it is, doesn't knock my socks off enough to warrant a full bottle.

stelina

There is something like burnt I don’t like I don’t know what is that

Coffeeandscents

I’m coming back after initially saying I didn’t like this, now I have tested it more on my skin vs paper and I am getting the lovely creamy vanilla. It opens very cardamom heavy and balsamic/ pine needles but then as it dries I am totally getting the creamy vanilla. It’s like you are eating creme brûlée in a Pine tree forest. This is a grown, sexy, spicy, woody, but very sweet and creamy vanilla.

Kizzyb93

Im going to keep this short and sweet! This is fantabulous! It’s a warm, creamy cardamom bomb! 🥰😍 Really gorgeous, spicy and smooth scent this really does last most of the day on my skin also

nkapped

One of the most outstanding cardamom scents in my arsenal. This is a rich, spicy and seductive vanilla gourmand. Imagine a cardamom crème brûlée in perfume form, a thick, velvety custard that shimmers with spice and smoke. It's supported by a rich backbone of amber, musk and woods. A scent to savour on cool, languid nights and festive occasions.

Mac&Zee

The opening smells like a bon fire that was just put out by dumping a bunch of water on it. Very damp smoky coal smell, with some vanilla sweetness underneath. I love the smell when I'm camping, but I don't think I would ever want to smell like this in any other situation.

gourmandgyaani

come back to mention just how much I love this
I open the bottle every few weeks and take whiff and whiff and whiff
I love it
I need this always. I close my eyes and picture a rich golden honey like liquid, thick and sweet and spicy, dripping down some place in a room which is otherwise black and dark.
this is so heavenly on the skin, so mature, yet playful and bewitching.
I want to bathe in it
love love love

Mistress Eva

Lune Feline put the final nail in the coffin of my dislike of vanilla. Having started my fragrance journey in the early 2000s–a time of terrible and diabetes-inducing sugary vanillas–I had come to loathe most vanillas outright.

Like most notes in perfumery, vanilla is beautiful if it's in the right composition. Lune Feline features it and prominent cardamom and Peru balsam notes beautifully. It is almost camphorous upon first spray but settles into a balsamy, gently spiced sweet vanilla as it settles. The sweetness isn't gourmand, which is a big mark in its favor. If you’re looking for the standard sugary–sweet or gourmand vanilla, you’ll probably be disappointed. The quality is excellent and the longevity and sillage are impressive.

Angelique Noelle

@cbholme85
CTFU over here!!! Honestly you just sold me on this fragrance! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Frangipanilove

Vanilla and tar. That is what this smells like. A little too bland to my taste. Overpriced and not special enough for the price tag. Lovely flacon and presentation but the juice doesn’t quite get there for me. Also poor longevity.

Seuni

It smells exactly like the notes say - warm, sweet, delicious, vanillic, cozy. It's backed by the Peru balsam and that's the problem - it seems out of place. It makes the rest of the composition smell like a smoked sausage. Like someone dipped a smoked sausage in your full fat vanilla ice cream.

It's what makes this composition special, without it it's just a sweet cozy base - but it's also what makes i divisive. Will last you a workday, unisex, best for colder months with a moderate+ projection.

Butterball

This is like Nirvana Bourbon by E&J, but much higher quality. At the top, you get an exhilarating blast of cooling cardamom. Then the heart sets in at around 15-20 minutes. A dark, oily vanilla, amber, and a healthy dose of smoke takes over. The smoke almost dominates the whole composition, but thank god it balances well with the vanilla, cinnamon and amber. I am a huge spice lover in food and fragrance, so none of the spices throw me off. I haven't made it to the deep dry-down yet. I literally just received my 100ml bottle in the mail, so I need to get to know Lune Feline a bit more. But so far, I'm loving it. I'm not getting any medicinal, discordant notes. The cardamom at the beginning is slightly mentholated. This fragrance was bought blind, and my bet paid out. But I wouldn't recommend as a blind buy, simply because I could see how certain notes wouldn't play well on different skin chemistry. Btw, the presentation is outstanding. It's refreshing to know that niche houses use premium ingredients and luxe packaging.

tskuster

This is such a unique perfume! It smells like a gourmand but it also smells very smoky at the same time. It’s very well blended. I smell a smoky campfire smell like you’re in the middle of a dark forest lighting a fire, yet there’s that vanilla that kind of softens it out and evens out that intense smoky smell. Altogether it works out very well. Do sample before you buy. This is not a scent for everyone. It’s almost a little witchy in a way. It’s dark, smoky, and luxurious. It’s rounded out by the vanilla to be a little less intense or off putting. Like the brand says, it smells dark and luxurious and captures attention like a magnetic star. I’m also getting a little bit of orchid, and cardamom in here. I’m sure a lot of people would hate this fragrance if I wore it out, but I personally think it’s a stunning perfume. It’s just simply not for everyone. Please do give this fragrance a try and report back with your thoughts!

RoseGoldOud

I adore this smoky, vanilla amber… if only it performed! It would be FB for me! Sadly, it lasts about an hour on my skin and then disappears.

Cazza759

To me this is like burnt rubber with a tiny bit of sweetness. Quelle horreur!

cloudswirl

Well..at first I didn't like this based off a tester strip since it seemed so medicinal. But, on my skin the medicinal scent wore off quickly as an opening of cardamom with a smokey wood and vanilla base came through. I love cardamom and I love vanilla, so naturally I do enjoy this fragrance.

About 20 minutes into the fragrance though the smokiness really dominates everything which makes me sad. If anyone has any good cardamom/vanilla fragrances let me know!

Smellgood12

When I first sprayed it on I was disappointed as it smelled like Carolina Herra's Good Girl. I was hoping for something different to add to collection. I checked the notes of both perfumes and they have about three similar notes. As the day went on I started to smell this clean soft scent. The cedar was becoming more pronounced and there was a sweetness to it. I LOVE it! There was a smokey sweetness. The sweetness was the Vanilla coming through. The scent is haunting. The perfume that came to mind once it had fully developed was Amoage's Sunshine. If I had to wear only two perfumes, it would be Feline Moon for the winter and Sunshine for the summer. That way I can have that smokey vanilla scent all year round. The sillage on this is beautiful. Perfect for holiday season with the cardamom. It is suitable for the office as it is not overpowering. 10/10

Pas Ce Soir

For whatever reason, anything that smells medicinal calls my name. This is medicinal with a smoky vanilla dry down. I love the opening despite knowing that if I wore this out and anyone smelled it on me, they wouldn’t think I was wearing perfume but rather muscle rub. So that brings me to if anyone smelled it on me… Uh, yeah, I doubt anyone would. Me included. I had a 1 ml sample that I lightly dabbed on my wrist (just to make sure I wanted to smell like it), and then I transferred the sample to a brand new small atomizer. I used the whole sample up throughout the evening both on my skin and clothing, and this fragrance has no projection. It’s extremely weak. If I stick my nose right down onto my wrist or clothes, it smells lovely, but that’s it. I am so sad. I love the name, and I love the bottle. I noticed earlier reviews stating this is supposed to be very strong. I am wondering if that is no longer the case. Sometimes too I wonder if certain fragrances get hyped up due to their names or packaging. I wish this were even a little stronger. I wear perfume for myself, and I don’t care about compliments. If I can’t smell it after 35 minutes, then what is the point?

Brooklynjade

Initial blast is strongly medicinal, off putting. Five minutes in, and a lovely cardamom starts to develop, while the camphorous note begins to fade somewhat. Slowly it blooms, becoming a refined smoky, balsam, and sexy, gingery/burning vanilla. Very different, feels elegant, could be unisex. Projection is very soft, but it lasts on skin at least 10 hours. I hear that the extrait version performs better, with a stronger sillage.

KidKat

This has turned into such a bad experience. I ordered the perfume directly from the atelier des ors website, they were quick to take the money but nothing shipped. When I emailed they they said that it would ship that day, but noting happened. Wrote another email asking for tracking details all I got was another excuse.
I have wanted this perfume for a long time, but found it too expensive. I finally decide to take the plunge, but after all this trouble and not feeling like the company cares about their costumer at all, I'm not even looking forward to getting the perfume any more. I know this is not strictly a review of the fragrance, but I feel so frustrated I just needed to get it out somewhere.

DS9Dax

Heard so much about this, finally caught a sale and blind bought.

I get a mediciney vapor rub camphor blast initially. Dang, not what I expected. That does fade and the dry down is a deep vanilla that is almost “burnt”

Overall an “ok” for me probably would not have bought if I had sampled first.

Note to self -ALWAYS SAMPLE FIRST

Ilikewhatilike

Cardamom up top and then a gritty vanilla. Not as crazy bold as by the fireplace. Quality juice, but only my skin I prefer Initio absolute aphrodisiac style.

TwistedWhiskers

This is -such- a thoroughly gorgeous scent. A complex and nuanced vanilla with cedar, cardamom, and smoke. Marie Salamagne has succeeded beautifully where many perfumers fail in my opinion- that is, evoking the dual nature of cats in fragrance. This feline is spiritual rather than literal- its animalic qualities stay in the background for me, but the vanilla that is the star of this fragrance practically purrs! Whether they are sweet or "spicy", cats are always utterly beautiful and utterly their own creatures, and because of that, they are not to everyone's liking- just like this scent. Its stunningly deep, rich vanilla and woods conjure an inviting sensuality, while the aromatic and animalic notes give it a sharp edge that can be overwhelming to some. Yes, it can also be a bit medicinal; I get a hint of Tiger Balm, but I like that scent, and this vanilla is just literally unforgettable. It -haunted- me until I finally broke down and bought a bottle, and this has become the perfume that's taught me that I -can- appreciate niche fragrances after all; I just had to meet the right one! Definitely not a safe blind buy, but Lune Feline is an absolute treasure for those lucky enough to really get to know her.

jellisunc

Reminds me of a more refined and slightly better version of BtF and Blackmail from Kerosene. Nice, but nothing new or surprising here if you’ve tried similar offerings.

kassinator

This is a beautiful animalic slightly smokey vanilla amber. I have no other fragrance that smells like it. I am careful not to overspray, because I can see that it could be overwhelming. I don't get any menthol, carmex, or mint at all. I do get a sweet kitten fur smell that is lovely. This is extremely sexy. I wouldn't wear this every day, but this is wonderful for special occasions. I do not regret my bottle.

Grumpa

Got a 10 ml at first wasn’t a big fan but it grew on me. Had weak performance in the 10 ml but from its reputation I figured it’d perform better when I got the full bottle, but it just doesn’t. Doesn’t last, doesn’t project, doesn’t anything except smell good for an hour. Opens to me w the smoky woods akin to by the fireplace (without the sweetness) and a burst of citrus(maybe orange). Settles to a smoky woody non sweet vanilla. More masculine leaning for sure.
Edit: swung back to reviews to see if anyone was also experiencing longevity issues and I see I’m not the only one. Idk if everyone’s buying from a bad batch or there’s reformulation issues or what. I set mine aside to see if maceration would help. I’m going to try Vanhera to see if it’s like this but longer lasting, because I do love this fragrance.

Mandyyy

I always really disliked the smell of Carmex, so I haven't used it in a long time. But this smells just like I remember Carmex smelling. It's medicinal and sort of menthol and ointment-y. It also called to mind the rash cream we used on my younger brother when he was still in diapers. So it started to remind me of changing dirty diapers, so the first time I spayed it is was a scrubber. I tried it again later and I still got the Carmex but didn't get the rash cream. Still not a fan, but I didn't scrub it. That scent stuck around on my hand for a while, and I would occasionally get wafts of it. After a few hours when it dried down to a skin scent it becomes a lovely smooth, warm, soft musky vanilla. I wish that this was more linear and that the wet and early dry down smelled like the deep dry down. But I have other vanillas that don't bother me so much for the first few hours. I've heard such good things, I just wish I was getting the same experience those who love this get.

FreddyK

Nice, comforting scent. There's nothing more to say. Just grab ,and test it on yourself. 10/10

Fragrancelesque

So I really don't get some (if any) comparisons here.... trust me, Replica etc that this fragrance is being compared to, can pack their bags and go see how niche fragrances are made (imho).

This is desire in a bottle. A carnal, warm and luscious vanilla with Peru balsam and a tiny drop of aromatic cardamom that doesn't take your attention from vanilla.

I actually bought their discovery set in January 2021 I think and fell in love with lune feline but could see why some people could be overwhelmed - it was a bomb!! Now I have a bottle and it feels a tad bit lighter, but unlike with other fragrances, I find it to be a good decision - now its more versatile, still a beast performance, very smooth and actually the trail doesn't smell too rubbery - as some said....yes, I agree on that.

A Vanilla that I recommend everybody tries. iTS just STUNNING

perfumesniffer

the comparisons are way off.

smells like Vicks vapo rub. Lots of cardamom in a menthol way. Yeah that’s it, Newport lights from back in the day. Menthol cigarettes. Medicated cream. Maybe some cedar & balsam & mothballs. That spare bedroom in your grandparents house with all the extra medications & toiletries in the closet. The past few years I’ve been smelling some hyped fragrances and coming away wondering what is going on.

in the way dry down becomes like 1988 carbon copy machine room with a tiny vanilla fart.

A lot of hype for this one, and I see why.
I am immediately reminded of the smore-like effect of Un Bois Vanille, but also Taeur l'Air, with incense against sweet resins and vanilla, but I get a much greater emphasis on the vanilla, which feels like actual extract with woody and leathery and rum-like facets to it, and none of the hefty sandalwood compounds in the Lutens. A good amount of balsamic sweetness is there too, placing it in the more feminine leaning side of unisex. However there is a good deal of smokiness too that is further foiled by the richness of the vanilla.

It's quite intense, extroverted, sweet, smoky, and there certainly is a type of person I can imagine really loving this one.
Btw this smells absolutely nothing like By the Fireplace, people are just using it is a common reference due to the smoke and vanilla.

joy3141

This is definitely long lasting. I put it on 12 hours ago and I still keep getting little whiffs of it.
Kind of similar to Babycat but more... medicinal?
As far as similarity to By The Fireplace, something in that made me almost cut my arm off to get it away from me - Lune Feline definitely doesn't have that effect!

Soledad89

Interesting scent. It gives me this medicinal vibe while smelling it in first few minutes after the initial spray. Medicinal as in "dentist's chair" type. It's not unpleasant, though, but it stays the whole time even when the scent evolves into something sweet. Said to be unisex but I find it feminine. Best worn during the colder months. Gorgeous bottle.

I tried this yesterday after a long wait of wanting it - In fact I nearly blind bought it the night before last as liberty had a great offer on. I’m so glad that I didn’t. This is probably a rather unpopular opinion so I will clarify and say the vanilla scent in the dry down is lovely and the longevity was awesome(!!) but… the opening and first half hour of wear was not at all what I expected. I absolutely love cardamom however with this I’m not sure exactly what I was smelling. (I could tell it was blended well - it’s just the scent itself was… unexpected) To my nose and on my skin this smelt medicinal - like a mix of fabric plasters and dare I say, tcp. The dry down was nice but didn’t project much - even taking into consideration my excitement and the fact I had embarrassingly over-sprayed in the shop. It is a thick, rich, deep vanilla with a hint of spice at the base but if I’m honest I can find that in other fragrances. I really wanted to - and expected to - love this but it’s not for me. Great if it works on your skin as the performance is amazing. I feel like I’m trying to convince myself that I liked it - just because I still want a bottle. (What is that all about?)

DJoy27

I’m so disappointed in how this smells to me! There’s something very animalic and weird about it to my nose-it actually makes me feel a little queasy. Beautiful bottle and name though!

dabeyondobsessedemperor

I purchased this in 2017, so this was my very first "niche" cologne. And I have to say, it wasn't a bad starting point at all.

This is very sweet, in a nice way. Heavy on the amber, has this resinous quality throughout. It's a nice unisex scent, leans slightly feminine but I feel like I can still pull it off. I'm digging this a bit less these days, simply because my taste evolved since five years ago, but I'll still wear it without complaint.

Be gentle with the amount of sprays you use if you end up getting this. Seriously, with Lune Feline, a little goes a long way. Three sprays, max, should be enough to get the desired projection, or if you're looking for a less commanding sillage, do two.

Scent-wise, Atelier des Ors succeeded with Lune Feline, and though I can't seem to find their perfumes at boutiques anymore, it has me curious as to what their other fragrances smell like.

If you're into the sweet stuff, or ambery-sandalwood-ish goodness with luxe scented candle-like vibes for the fall, buy this. You'll enjoy it.

oceanorchid

Really gorgeous, spicy and smooth scent

Holybasil

Smoke and cardamon with a hint of vanilla and wood.

If Santa Claus was a dapper gentleman then this is probably the scent he would wear.
Pretty unisex, so Ms.Clause could easily pull it of as well. Longevity is excellent and sillage is just enough to make people complement you, but not so much that they scrunch their nose.
I could do without the gold.

Detman101

@cbholmes85
I almost fell out of my chair laughing at your review...man, you're a friggin comedian!!!
I needed that laugh...thank you soooo much!!
I'm on my "Vanilla" journey as well...trying to find the perfect sweet vanilla...maybe "Sweet Vanilla" is actually the one...I dunno...the search continues.

harmonia

Top notch craftsmanship! The opening and early stages of the dry down are reminiscent of Eau Duelle by Diptyque. But then I get a very distinct cardamom and wood accord. And some smoke. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous too!

LauraAD

Smokey warm vanilla with pink pepper tingliness and a little cardamom. The glitter flakes are a bit overkill but, marketing I guess. It's a cold weather stunner and I adore it. Great projection and longevity too, you smell it across the room and it lasts 8h+.

Erinhasaproblem

I really appreciate this fragrance but unfortunately it’s just too much for me. The opening is so smoky and spicy - I get an intense burnt rubber vibe. The dry down is much smoother but it’s still too much smoke and spice. The vanilla is quite lovely but unfortunately, i find it to be overpowered by the smokiness and slight burnt rubber smell that lingers throughout the entire wear.

Mellerouge

I’m so sad this didn’t work well on me. I’ve heard so many praises for this fragrance and I was looking for the perfectly sultry vanilla. But this is just WAY too smoky on me, it’s like a cigarette smoker or a slightly sweet burning building.

Dessert Chic

This smells exactly like one of those fancy whiskey drinks that they light on fire at cocktail bars. Booze on fire / smokey booze. The smell definitely lasted and I enjoyed it, but it was very linear. I was hoping for some sweetness or vanilla to come through, but on me, it did not. Leaned a tad masculine for my tastes; not something I would buy in a fb, but it is interesting and sexy for sure!

ScentFan2021

This is too smoky for me, although if I let it dry down on clothes for several hours, it does smell like a desert. But, I'm not sure about the price point.

Yulia Che

What a gorgeous smokey vanilla! Can't wait to wear it when it gets colder. It's a perfect unisex, smells great both on me and my partner, even though usually the same frags turn quite different on us.
This perfume has a good longevity on my skin - and mind you, nothing lasts on me, so this one is the money well spent.

The only thing I am afraid of is spraying it on the clothes. I do this thing where I first spray a perfume on a cotton pad just to get a better idea of how it would work on fabric, and that was a bit of a fiasco. After my partner's first sniff, he delightfully declared this to be a "smoked gouda", and I couldn't get past it afterwards. It indeed smells like delicious smoked cheese on a cotton pad or a paper strip.

Luckily, none of this nonsense transfers to the skin. So if you are being discouraged by the first impression on a blotter, please try it on your skin instead.

Also I detect no cardamom fwiw.

cbholmes85

Alright.

I love this fragrance, a more refined and smoother 'By The Fireplace', but I just noticed that I also have a pretty big problem with it.

I recently busted out my cold weather frags, cuz yeah, here comes that bullshit weather.

So anyway, I just sprayed this on my wrist right after my bubble bath and about to do some super awesome manly things, and I noticed there was glitter on my wrist.

What the fuck?

How am I supposed to be a man's man when I got glitter all over me?

I don't mind smelling beautiful, but the glitter from the gold flakes is just too much, dammit.

I bet every time I wore this last year at work all the dudes that I look up to probably were laughing at me when I walked by.

Probably called me 'twinkles' or some shit like that.

Now I have to kick somebodies ass at work tomorrow, and it is going to be Lune Felines fault.

Fuck.

UPDATE: so I went to work this morning and I could tell that Lune Feline was still there because of the gold flakes, so I guess you could say this is long lasting. Could also still smell it a little teensy bit.

I approached someone at work and flashed my glitter wrist daring them to say something so that I could start some shit. They didn't say anything at all and just stared at me, somewhat perplexed.

I could see the fear in their eyes.

Perfectly unisex, leans masculine.

Rose perfume Lover

When I first sprayed this, it was horrible, lol. I really wanted to love this, but I can’t get with it, it smells like something really medicinal, but I can’t remember what. I love smoky vanillas, but this just isn’t it. There’s something in it ruining it for me….
Edit: I found out what it smells like! Throat spray, the red one! Lol. It’s a beautiful Vanilla ruined by throat spray 🤦🏼♀️

Idismee

Holy smokes (literally!), what a ride this perfume is.

At first spray, I admit I recoiled. It immediately reminded me of these pungent herbal medicinal pills from my home country called Seirogan (正露丸). I couldn't not smell it for the first hour, before it finally turned into a delicious vanilla (reminiscent of Tihota, but spicier) that lasted for hours.

But I refused to give up on the sample, and tried it again the next day. Surely I was missing something... Then boom! On second try, my nose 'got it' ' - emerging from behind the initial medicinal note was a smokey, aromatic blaze. It evoked in me an image of witches dancing around a ritual bonfire in the night... the flames reaching for a golden harvest moon high in the sky. I can see the comparisons to BTF, but this... this one is more than just a smokey scent. It's animalic, dark, and it almost feels... sinful in its composition.

Yes, it eventually dries down to a cozy, warm, crowd-pleasing vanilla - but the journey there is a spellbinding trial through fire. This is absolutely not a blind-buy. That said, I'm now addicted and can't wait to wear this in the coming colder months. Once you really get to know her, she's ravishing.

Ludicolo

This one smells like a richer, smoother and more high end version of Dior Homme Intense to me.
The cardamom is definitely quite prominent here.

Zoffe

I smell like a delicious, sexy sauna (yes, that's apparently a thing) when I wear this and I ain't mad about it. It's *fantastic*.

Zethre

Spicy, very slight sweetness. You can really smell the pepper, cinnamon and cardamom, the combination is almost gingery. Behind that is a very faint, almost medicinal note, and woody notes with a little burning incense smoke.

Nice, but i feel like it could do with a big slosh of vanilla!

Spicy89

Kinda feels like a softer and smoother "by the fireplace". Dose not seem to project that much, it's a cozy smokey vanilla. Kind of expected some fireworks from this hyped perfume.
Gonna try it out some more before making up my mind about it.

Ishtarthestar

Skanky, sexy, provocative, unforgettable.

cfman

I tried this a few weeks ago and my first impression was "medicinal old woman scent". I gave it another try today and my impression still leans in that direction, but it has improved a little. Apparently I'm not into cardamom. I think it's better to smell the sillage like others would experience it on you. Don't stick your nose right in it!

One thing is undeniable, the bottles/presentation is absolutely beautiful! I almost want to purchase an Atelier des Ors fragrance just to admire the bottle within my fragrance bar...

Verrucosa

The first time I tried this, I didn't like it. It was just overwhelming and not what I expected. The second time, I got a lot of smoke and thought it smelled like a burned (and I mean charred) marshmallow. I enjoyed it more, but still wasn't sure it was for me. I just tried it a third time and now I get less smoke and more of the cinnamon and pepper upfront. Melted cinnamon hearts over a rich, resinous vanilla. The cinnamon dies down and the cardamom amps up. It's really growing on me! The performance is great.

While I don't think it smells exactly like By The Fireplace or Eau Duelle, I can understand the comparisons. It feels thicker and heavier than Eau Duelle, which is one of my favourites. Like Eau Duelle's more wintery cousin.

citrinemalachite

I am confused by the comparisons, This doesn’t smell smoky to me at all like By the Fireplace, that one is extremely smoky and harsh to me and I hate it. This one is a much softer and smoother scent, a lot of dry wood and a little bit of spice and vanilla. I smell nothing green and no incense, at least not the kind of incense I’m familiar with (I think frankincense is what they use in Catholic churches). It’s much closer to Eau Duelle by Diptyque but I think it’s better. It smells nothing like Felanilla to me, that is a green fresh vanilla and not particularly spicy or woody. I don’t smell any menthol or bandaids, either. I think I smell more cardamom than cinnamon.
I love it, it’s very warm and cozy without being too sweet or syrupy. It smells natural but not unrefined. It’s really an addictive scent. It’s not super powerful but also not weak, and I find it pretty long-lasting. If you love sweet woody scents or non-gourmand vanillas, I think you would love this, too. However based on the other reviews saying it smells very smoky I guess this is not a safe blind buy.
I think this actually smells a lot like Loubirouge but that one is less woody and has more vanilla. And that one is by the same nose, Marie Salamagne! If you loved that one but don’t want to pay the price tag, check this out.

AmBo

I bought a tester on Fragrancenet after hearing much hype. Maybe I'm just too used to designer, but this is too smoky for me. It reminds me of By the Fireplace by Replica, and it does settle down during the dry down. I'll try it again once the weather cools - I could see it working in the fall or winter.

ELB78

I was so excited about trying this one, but all I’m getting is smoky band aids.

Nilodlien

Oh, how I wanted to love this one. I was here for the smoky vanilla. But for me, it’s just straight-up, eye-searing menthol.

I can appreciate that the bottle is gorgeous. I’m sure they use top-shelf ingredients. But something Lume Feline and I did not play well together.

alvinzm

Lune Feline is essentially By the Fireplace but it is boozier, spicier, less sweet, and more complex, and that makes it more enjoyable and appealing to me.

If people haven't made the comparison between this and By the Fireplace, I doubt I will see the similarities because I think those are two different fragrances. Lune Feline has more character (more unique) and complex, but By the Fireplace is safer and more mass appealing. I see Lune Feline as a very enjoyable work of art, but I see By the Fireplace as a very enjoyable, comforting fragrance.

Lune Feline lasts longer on my skin too, with a great projection in the first two to three hours.

It is an awesome fragrance and I can't wait to fully wear this stuff.

spotspot

I'm updating my previous review. Upon first try, the cardamom in this fragrance took hold and would not back off. I was going to give away my sample, but today I tried it on a whim, and I find it quite different. The cardamom is still there in the opening, but it's more peppery and warm than before. I'm getting a lot more wood, vanilla, and musk as well. I love those notes together, and I can even pick out the cedar (love it with vanilla) after 30 minutes. This fragrance is very warm and inviting. Great for cold weather, and not too sweet. I think if that cardamom note were just a little lighter overall, I'd consider a bottle. I'm definitely going to sample more of this brand, though, as I love the DNA of this stuff. This is incredibly well-blended - not a crack or a seam between the notes. As I write this, it's drying down into a heavenly, velvet pool of scent on my arm. Maybe I DO need a bottle.

Kweilz

All I smell is incense. Attended a few Ukrainian Catholic Church services as a child and this fragrance brings back those scent memories 100%

BAF85

Not gonna lie, my initial response to this was: “ew, gross!” I definitely get the ammonia reference that hit me hard and fast the second I put this on my skin, like a stale cat litter box with floral-scented cat litter. Really bad and aggressive!

Based on the notes, I should love this and I really expected to, but I think it’s the styrax and green notes doing it in for me, it makes my nose curl every time I get a whiff. Underneath is a woodsy musk, but there is something in here I just cannot tolerate. Please do not blind buy this one!!

Oriental_Dream

Cozy. Sexy. Warm. Enveloping. Complex. Soft. Intriguing.

An absolute niche masterpiece that has captured my heart after (deeply) loving perfume all my life and now at 40 this is the only fragrance that has ever cast such a spell over me that I had to purchase a backup.

This REALLY is as good as they say it is.

If your nose knows niche this beauty is for you.

Marie Salamagne you are a QUEEN!!

Sereen84

This one is a vanilla spice bomb! It is gorgeous and I can't get enough of it. I understand the comparison to By the Fireplace because of the woodsy notes, but that is about it. Lune Feline is a far superior scent with monstrous longevity and strong projection. Did I mention the bottle is a dream? 🌙🐈

josenajas

A top 10 of all time contender. Sexy, warm, inviting. If you want to know what "creamy" means, smell this.

gourmandgyaani

Blind bought this because of the notes and because I am a sucker for spicy, sexy mature vanillas. To me, it actually smells like Kayali's Vanilla 28 a little bit here and there. This is a gorgeous perfume with lots of personality and character. that cardamom cinnamon and vanilla is what I get for the most part and I LOVE the smell.
It doesn't seem to be as long lasting on my skin though, it becomes weak pretty quickly, the sillage and projection also falter on me after maybe an hour or two. I would've preferred this to be more beast mode.
the top notes are stunning, the middle and dry down too. it is such a stunning fragrance and for those who love sweet spiciness and vanilla this is a must have. because of its cinnamon and cardamom and vanilla, the three main notes that I get, it totally reminds me of luxurious, heavy, creamy and delicious Indian sweets. This is a straight up Indian desert! in India, cardamom and cinnamon are very commonly used desert ingredients and so my nose is literally thinking Indian sweets the minute I put this on. I wonder if anyone else has felt the same if they're familiar with Indian sweets! so gorgeous.
this is definitely a hit or miss for most people. A few friends smelled it and recoiled at the spices and others were addicted. I think you need to be able to appreciate non commercial / mainstream perfume DNAs to be able to enjoy this.
The bottle, the concept, packaging, the whole feel is chefs kiss. so good.
I do love this perfume and I will probably repurchase in the future. I have worn it in the summer and I'm waiting to wear it in the winter to see it perform. it performs better at night / cooler weather. what a gorgeous scent.

EDIT : So I wore this on a cooler evening indoors and a little outdoors and it performs beautifully in milder weather. anything less than 30 degrees Celsius seems to make this blossom, above that the heat destroys it. it stayed on my skin for 15 + hours and projected at moderate length all evening and late into the night. love love love. wow. falling more in love with this every time I wear it!

Rozalina

Too smokey and animalic for me, like you were microwaving a cardamom dessert in a plastic container, forgot to pull it out and the plastic melted a little. I’m surprised Lune Feline has the popularity it does.

Lfc18921

Sadly, for me, as with other below, this gives an overpowering Smokey and slightly burnt food like smell for well over an hour. After several hours it turns to a very nice but standard vanilla scent. Not for me.

Houdini4

A top loaded perfume which has lots of excitement and crowd pleasing (for the more discerning crowd) stuff which really wowed me for the first few minutes but it's clearly a sweet perfume with quite a lot of vanilla which is my problem with it. The mixture of resinous, deep, woody incense and spices with an equally big proportion of vanillic traits, never seems to sit well with me. A detectable vanilla to round out the woody spiciness, or even overt incense, makes this kind of 'jelly' effect I often describe but this just kinda wears a bit relentlessly, sweet with vanillin, it's a bit sickly and something I find pointless after most of the excitement of the top and mid notes have gone.
I don't hate this perfume it's well made and all that just not quite within my tastes.

AK2

First hour is simply unbearable to me. My family exiled me while wearing it, kids refused to come near me but oddly the dog liked it. After that animalic phase goes away it flourishes into a deep resinous-sweet-ambery smell that resembles almost all the ‘reminds me of ‘ section however I believe any other of those would probably be a better alternative for someone who doesn’t want to be ‘challenged’.

yeah__books

I don’t get ammonia but I certainly get hospital at the start. But it kind of just works and the drydown is just gorgeous.

It’s one you’ve got to test before buying but unique and delicious; so different and superior to By the Fireplace. I also think it grows on you. I like it more each wear and I’m glad I have a fb.

LittleYsatis

I have 8ml sample from Fragrancenet and this is a winner. I love this scent. Perfect for Christmas night in front of the fireplace. Love it!

SweetBlossom

To me this doesn't smell rubbery, plasticky or toxic in any way. I can feel the styrax for the first few minutes, but it's not that noticeable.
I must admit, the cardamon smell radiates really aggressively from the bottle, but when I wear it, it combines beautifully with the wild, animalic vanilla, in such a way that I dont' mind. This amaizing vanilla is the center of attention and I believe that every other note is present just so it enhances it in a different and unique way. The vanilla is a first spicy (feral&aggressive), then woody/smoky (elegant&powerful), then sweet, round and musky (delicate&playful). Never overbearing in any way.
This is a fragrance that radiates an elegant, feral, yet delicate, power. A true power. Makes me think of a panther on the prowl under the cover of night, hence the appropriate name.
Indeed, it's probably not for everyone, but for who can tame it, it's a whole new experience.

latttiful

Once it hits the base its a nice warm Vanilla scent. But the opening whoo-wee. Very strong harsh chemical smell.
Its a weird, sort of like for me- but off putting at the same time. My friend was knocked out sleeping on the couch next to me, (I was trying this Perfume out that night, they woke up slightly, and said "it smells like ammonia" and fell back to sleep. I didn't even mention me wearing anything. Just from that, I know its off-putting for people around me too. I was shocked when they woke up and said that.

I kind of like the smell after it gets passed the opening, but I don't want to be known as that person who slightly smells weird. Also its very mature, its not a grandma scent but groooown woman.

wenshere

This seriously smells like tiger balm (or some sort of medicinal balm that gives you that tingling feeling) and somehow burned coffee beans to me. I barely get the cinnamon and cardamom. I also barely get vanilla, it's buried under everything else and I can't smell it. Overall it's too medicinal and pungent to me. Yikes, hard pass for me.

TeachOlfactoryArt

This may be the most beautifully adjudged smoky-spicy-Animalic-balsamic vanilla I’ve ever sampled. For those smelling the medicinal aspects, either you’re hypernosmic to the spices (e.g., eugenol) or you’re reacting to the scent in its first minutes. This—like classical, high-quality fragrances of the past—requires patience. It could also be you’ve never smelled real ambergris, since this contains a small amount of natural ambergris tincture. (Ambroxan is vile and smells nothing like real ambergris. Just ask Creed, which uses synthetic trash in abundance.)

I use one spray two hours before work and people tell me they want to eat me. THAT is a proper perfume. This is nothing like Replica BTF, which is a nearly entirely synthetic, screechy piece of trash.

briannadedrew

Has that disgusting woody-alcohol note that makes me hate Commodity fragrances as they almost all have this note. Like a strong rubbing alcohol with a sickening woodsy undertone. It's a shame, because I love the smoky vanilla base but it is completely overshadowed. I would highly recommend Eau Duelle from Diptyque as an alternative.

gourmandnotes

By The Fireplace and Lune Feline do share a similar gourmandy, smokey/nutty vanillic base (both by the same nose), but whereas BTF is a kind of safe and rather boring/unchallenging gourmand, Lune Feline is not; the animalic and medicinal complexity can be off-putting for some, including myself.

A shame because there's so much vanilla in this and it's my favorite kind of vanilla. I wish the cinnamon note in this was just a little more forward because this is how I originally sampled Lune Feline from Lucky Scent, as a spicy cinnamon-spearing, smokey vanilla with the woodsy notes. Spraying from the bottle gave me a different experience of mostly bandaid-esque, oily animalic musks, vanilla, and few spices. Oh well.

This is great for anyone who is starting out with animalic scents. Or someone who likes their gourmand to be more challenging.

Shawn330

Lovely and captivating. This is beautiful mature vanilla not to sweet, with a pop of pink peppercorn, and ambergris aka Ambroxan. This is a beautiful from this house and I’m happy to have this apart of my collection. Very affordable on FragranceNet I’ve paid more for designer brands. Just saying this house rocks!

scissorhandedly

It took a couple of tries for me to understand this perfume. The first attempts were total failures. I smelled pretty much just straight-up smoke. But then something happened, like my smell receptors finally deciphered it - the cardamom and vanilla suddenly came through, and it was just heaven. It's so gorgeous! It's not exactly a typical perfume, even for a niche brand it feels like a slightly peculiar scent to be wearing, but it's superbly done. God help me I think it's worth the money.

ppalm

lune feline. such a beautiful name. i want to love this. but I don't at first sniff. I get an oldtime car repair shop - very motor oil smelling. i get the ambergris. I don't like it at all at first. it takes a good long while to settle down (an hour or so) and its more enjoyable. I am not sure I am going to get used to this or grow to love it, but it is worth another test.
This is NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY.

Perpetual Collector

ADMINS, can you do something about this "wdpnrds" tool? He needs to be banned, pronto.

silviamm

Was so excited to try this one…what to say. On my skin works the opposite, I get a blast of vanilla (lovely) at the opening then a kind of medicinal smell which reminds me a bit of when you accidentally burn your pan handles. Dry down gets more ambery but that middle note is enough to put me off. Shame

Kathleen13

Judging by some of the reviews here, Lune Feline clearly isn't a perfume for everyone, and she may be the kind of scent that chooses her wearer rather than the other way around- the kind of scent some people will feel in their soul and others won't. Something in this fragrance will either call out to you, or it will stay silent. You may have to listen for a little while to see if you can hear it. But dismiss this singular beauty too quickly- as I almost did- and you will miss out on a most captivating, complex vanilla ornamented with spicy, smoky cedar notes and something else that (to me) kind of evokes the gold that the house of Atelier des Ors is known for. I picture a heap of burnished gold gleaming by candlelight as silky wisps of sweet vanilla incense curl softly around it, like offerings laid on a temple altar. I admit I did find Lune Feline a little challenging at first; initially it came across as very medicinal to me and did take a little getting used to, but its unforgettably gorgeous vanilla wouldn't let me forget about it. It kept growing on me and now I think this might just be my holy grail scent. I didn't get all its different nuances from the test vial, as I found out once I started using my bottle- most notably the smokiness. Once I did pick that up, it seemed to balance out the medicinal tang that had made me hesitate at first, and now I just love everything about it. In a few short months this has become much more than a perfume to me. This is a sacred elixir worthy of a goddess, so thoroughly intoxicating that I don't even mind the fact that I can't afford to wear it every day. That just ensures that I will always treat this scent with the reverence it deserves, and never grow too accustomed to it.

emgailba

Before I scrubbed off the first layer of my skin, having groped blindly for the nearest, abrasive fabric, I got a good enough whiff to thoroughly describe the assault that is this fragrance. Someone opens a cedar cigar box, then casually lights it on fire. They then take the burning box and proceed to pummel you mercilessly with it, all the while screaming into your face, "hang on, it gets better!" Who cares. This is so oily, so vile, so pungent, I don't care if this scent grows up to be the Rosetta Stone of perfumes. I'm half tempted to put on a feather lined peignoir and go bury it in the backyard if I didn't think I'd be violating a bucket full of ecological initiatives.

mommymilkers

Definitely smells Iodine or menthol-ish(?) I don't have a problem with it though. I can tolerate the medicinal smell and go with the cardamom. Very spicy and unique, although maybe not the best kind of unique. The longevity and sillage though, omg. I wore this in the heat when I was sweating so much and even after a shower I can still smell it.

AwesomeElo

No - just no. This is gasoline and vanilla. Thank goodness, it's just a sample. Just too spicy for me, the pepper and cinnamon and cardamom are too strong with this one. The spiciness does die down after a few minutes and more vanilla comes out but with the vanilla comes woody, green notes. I like more sweetness in my fragrances.

MoonFlare

I'm going to have to agree with the review below me. The initial spray smells of Blistex, or even Vicks Vapor Rub. It's clearly the cardamon and pepper, which at first spray, comes off minty, icy cool. This is not a pure vanilla fragrance.

If you can withstand this stage for the first hour or so, you'll start to be welcomed by the spiced vanilla (thanks to that lingering pepper) that creates a nice, cozy comfort scent. The drydown is indeed the best part of this fragrance, although I enjoy the composition as a whole.

Now, I don't get the "rubber ball", or leather scent at all. Maybe I'm nose blind to it??

Even though this isn't Blistex or Vicks Vapor Rub, I appreciate Lune Feline for what it is, not what I'm imagining it to be. I put the description there for the picky frag-heads because scents bring about old memories/experiences.

This has great longevity, but it doesn't project very well.

I would give this fragrance a 7/10, absolutely a "like" for me.

Oddly enough, Lune Feline smells like Blistex to me, but as if the oils in the lip balm were extracted from vanilla and cinnamon. There’s an oiliness to it and little saltiness too from the Ambergris. This is strangely calming to me. The spices aren’t overpowering, in fact they’re blended so well, I hardly get a punch from it. They may be coming across as a sweet and slight “minty-ness” and that is probably why I think of Blistex. I think the right description I’m trying to express is emollient. Can’t stop smelling it. Favorite from the sample batch I purchased and is a vanilla different enough from those in my collection already.

this went from absolute hate to love real quick. i had a decant of this about 2 months ago, it made my stomach turn to the point that I let go of my decant! I remember it triggered a olfactory memory of something i couldn't recall but had smelled before, it was too cinnamony. I didn't understand the hype at all, it was an absolute disgrace. I washed it off my skin. Fast forward 2 months later, I get a decant of this along with others in the mailbox and i smell my decants blindly. I smelled lune feline not knowing what it was and boom, loved it. In a span of 2 months my olfactory palette has completely evolved. It's a woody dry cinnamony vanilla, I now completely get the hype. It reminds me of l'occitane eau des baux and royal crown sultan. Can't say much about longevity as I just got the decant, but on me it stayed for about 4-6 hrs.

Don’t smell this from the bottle!
Don’t even smell the opening!
This fragrance shines in the mid and dry down.

The fragrance starts with a blast of smokey amber (burning smell). Not my favorite either but push through it. Once it settles down after 10/15 minutes, you get the warm gooey amber and spiced vanilla. Enveloping and cozy and excellent for cold weather.

Overspraying:
Longevity 9/10
Projection 7/10
Sillage 6/10

The best way to describe it is

“Goldschlager By the fireplace”…
It even has the gold flakes .
It’s a perfect mix of Goldschlager liquor and Replica By the fireplace

it’s definitely a fall/winter scent thats perfect for the holidays
But you could pull it off on a cool summer night

I highly recommend it
Fragrancenet has travel sizes available if you just want to test it out

I’m going for a full bottle
Cheers

The first few times I tried this I really didn’t like it. I wanted to love it based upon reviews. I have had it about 5 weeks now and something clicked just recently. There is no longer snow outside, it’s still in the 40s so maybe it’s the weather, but also maybe the travel spray I had just needed to macerate? What smelled like gasoline is no longer so strong at first spray, the vanilla has taken a more present role though it still isn’t central to the fragrance until about the 20-30 minute mark. I’m glad I held onto this, it is a lovely spiced vanilla like what I have been craving. Not currently FBW but I’m glad to have this travel spray.

Edit: sold my travel spray as I simply just don’t find this very wearable.

Moonstruck by Lune Feline
Exquisite Perfume! The most intoxicating spicy vanilla fragrances I have ever experienced… just beautiful. Please note this is a luxurious perfume of the highest quality. Some may assume a vanilla scent would be typical or designer. Lune Feline is not that. It is 10/10 and the presentation is impeccable – a true gem masterpiece. Lune Feline is completely unisex with a Durability which is above average. Take a chance and try this perfume. It's worth it.

Celestya

A cardamom spicy vanilla fragrance. 100% unisex for cold days (winter). It is a bold and opulent scent. The silage and longevity are excellent. Very warm...

I was very worried when I sprayed this on my skin that it was going to be a smoke bomb. I had a similar experience with By the Fireplace and was sorely disappointed. Lune Feline (on my skin) is everything I’d hoped By the Fireplace would be. It’s tolerably smoky, likely subdued by the vanilla and balsam notes. I also don’t tend to gravitate toward pine-like scents, as I find them too masculine to wear. This is perfectly unisex IMO, and completely wearable for me.

I’m happy to have a decant of this, not quite sure if it’s full bottle worthy just yet.

I just oversprayed the heck out of this 20 minutes ago, and all I am really getting is a faint spicy leather vibe- leather isn't even one of the notes! It's definitely a skin scent on me, and at this price point not full bottle worthy at all.

EauDeBaldy

Smells like a plastic/rubber ball. You know the ones when you were little and had those bouncy balls. It's weird but that is what came to mind on the initial wear.

As it settles, it is a spicy baby powder type of fragrance with the cardamon lingering at the bottom of it.

It's nice & pleasant and if you are one for baby powder type of fragrances, this will be great for you.

I would not recommend it for men in general personally, this leans a bit more feminine because of these characteristics to me.

For the colder times. Winter & Fall but more for winter.

I passed this onto someone else who thought it was good ( a female )

Another note, I'm glad to see that the dislikes outweigh the likes for the likeliness to By the fireplace, this smells nothing like it, not even a little bit.

Hellenic Perfumology

Such a unique take on vanilla, in general this house produces some very high quality fragrances. This is a dusty vanilla with hints of spices and musky nuances. This is growing on me very fast, and with news that Atelier des Ors will be releasing 30 ml bottles i might consider purchasing a bottle. Its not like Ani neither Grand Soir and thats what i like! A breath of fresh air in the vanilla realm.

9/10 Great Juice!

Sereen84

Perfection in a bottle for me. Not for everybody though and that makes it even more appealing.

paloma&pinot

All I got was smoky. Took a few days to nail it but I finally came up with what this dryed down to on me and my down coat: walking into a very old church somewhere in Europe. That smoky incense lamp they swing - THAT is what I got.
