Outspoken by Fergie by Avon is a Amber Woody fragrance for women. Outspoken by Fergie was launched in 2010. Top notes are Black Currant, Wild Berries, Carambola (Star Fruit) and Saffron; middle notes are Tuberose, Jasmine and Passion Flower; base notes are Leather, Ebony Wood and Vetyver.

Popular singer Fergie is launching her first fragrance OUTSPOKEN in cooperation with the house of Avon. The fragrance aims at strong and courageous women who are full of self-esteem and understanding. With Fergy, Avon managed to get the right person for partnership to place their product in the best possible way.

Fergie is a singer, text writer and actress; capricious, feminine and mysterious woman. Fragrance Outspoken depicts her personality, sensuality and seductiveness and highlights complexness of every women that way. Top notes of the perfume refresh us with frozen black currant, starfruit and wild saffron, standing in contrast with gentle aromas of the heart. Floral nuances of tuberose, jasmine and passionflower dance together in a passionate and sensual way, while seducing base notes of ebony, leather and vetiver.

Inspiration for the flacon is connected with popular Fergie's wedding. She remembers to have seen a beautiful, luxurious, crystal vase which attracted her attention with its elegance. Result of the creation is connecting variety and contrasts. Diamond-shaped stopper crowns dark, glass curves of the flacon and achieves a more luxurious form. This precious and feminine flacon is available as 50 ml EDT, for about 28 EUR. Besides the fragrance Outspoken, the collection includes 150 ml perfumed body cream. The fragrance arrives on the market end May 2010.

Huele a seguridad femenina.
Hasta el día de hoy tengo un poco en el envase original, espero algún día encontrar alguien que lo venda y ojalá nuevo

Outrageous had me in such a chokehold! I'm down to my last bottle and needed something else to help the fragrance last a bit longer. After checking out the "reminds me of" list, I layered Outrageous with BBW's One in A Million. The two fragrances worked really well together - the plum/fruity notes were very short-lived before the jasmine took over and gave off a clean/floral for the remainder of the day. Without OIAM, Outrageous lasted about 2.5 hours and with the scent lasted about 5 hours before I had to re-up. Although I'm sad about finishing off my beloved Outrageous, I have thoroughly enjoyed wearing this fragrance and will add the empty bottle to my perfume bottle graveyard to savor the memories.

MareaCamacho

I bought this fragrance when it came out in 2010.
It was the only fragrance I was using when I met my husband in the fall of that year.
Needless to say we've been together for 13 years and counting. This perfume has major nostalgia attached to it. I can't seem to find a bottle anywhere tho. Would love to have it just for memories sake.

dandeli0n

I really need a dupe for this if someone knows pls let me know :(

Harley522

More lighter Givenchy Amarige with the smell of leather jacket. It wasn’t bad at all.

Gemsense

This is gorgeous! It's like a modern, sexier take on Amarige. Omg it's 💣💥... If you enjoy Amarige but it seems a little dated, definitely give this a go! This is sexy!

pamkinsp1ce

I just don't know how to start but this perfume right here is very special to me purple magic in a bottle and will be forever iconic my mom bought me this when I was a little girl we were using it together they were selling this on avon only and has a cream perfume necklace gift in heart shape I can't forget the warm notes well balanced jasmine and berries together is just wow it screams outspoken as it says, sexy brave and fearless woman is all I can think when I smell it, sadly it is discontinued I wish I can find just one bottle so I can keep it forever to remind of my childhood thanks to Fergie.

FieryG

OMG, I really liked this perfume! ❤️ Although it was long (almost) time ago when I used it for the last time, I still remember the unique, sexy smell.
Still now I had't found any similar like this. When I used this perfume I felt really self-confident, strong women. Perfect blend of leather+black currant+ tuberose. Please Avon bring back it!!! 🙂For me it's the best fragrance from Avon till now. If anyone knows something similar like this, please write PM for me, thanks! 😊

I used to love Fergie and when I found out she had a fragrance I immediately ordered it from Avon. The first couple of days of wearing it I just couldn't help but love and hate it at the same time. The scent is amazing, this dark leathery sexy scent and yet something about it I just didn't like. Then I realized it was the tuberose, this note just killed it for me and I stopped wearing it after day 3 and gave it away. The bottle was a true gem for me, dark yet has little purple/blue tones, overall beautiful perfume and bottle but my nose cannot stand tuberose.

I got this perfume as a gift when I was in highschool and loved it from the first sniff! The combination of leather, black currant, and wild berries. I really regret that it's not available anywhere anymore.. :(

CK_Leo

I don't know what I was expecting with Fergie but this scent was not quite it!
For a scent named "outspoken" this perfume's opening was surprisingly soft and tone-down, it didn't pack a punch like its name would suggest, and it stayed demure throughout. I liked the leather that gave the perfume an edge, but if anything, this perfume should be named "inner strength", it smelled like someone who doesn't start fights, but stands her ground.

jesuscerda1114

I love this stuff came out back when I was in gr 9. Still to me it's so simple but so good and special some Avon perfumes are underrated need more love. The perfume last a good time. It's good to get the person next to look at you. True love

LadyPilot

Long-lasting, bitter fruity-leather gem with great silage, a hint of white flowers, in the vein of Amarige, only lighter and more sour. Amarige and and Outspoken are like a mother and daughter - so similar but so different! Outspoken is the ode to black fruit - mainly blackberries, but also blackcurrants ant other "forest" fruit. I want more scents like this!!!! I used to have the whole range, keep my bottle and come back to it every summer, I wish they brought it back!:(((

taureanrage69

This is vivid and long-lasting, and I enjoy the use of saffron and leather here with the starfruit and other fruits. If Avon's discontinued fragrance Crystal Aura got dressed up, put on fancy shoes and colorful bag and headed out to party, Outspoken would be the result. I'm having a hard time figuring out where the clean impression is coming from because it almost seems to have a linen-type of note in it. An enjoyable, creative and sadly-discontinued offering from Avon which I'm afraid to wear regularly seeing how expensive it's getting online.

galelynn23

My sister gave me this and I liked it okay but it was EXTREMELY familiar to me. I quickly realized it smells almost identical to Kim Kardashians original scent. But like a slightly watered down version so I would prefers Kim's over this.

Mdox407

Berries? What is everyone talking about?! I'm completely shocked at the reviews on this one. This one is getting increasingly harder and harder to find. As I was searching on Ebay and seeing that the price has gone way up...I finally decided to buy it as I found a listing on it on Ebay for only $20 and unused, still sealed in box.

I smelled it and I LOVE it! But.....berries? Woody accord? To be completely honest...I just smell an extremely white floral fragrance. Like fresh linens blowing in the breeze on a warm summer day. I can smell some leather accord as well. But that is it. A clean florally...leathery...classy perfume. Lots of tuberose with some leather thrown in.

This does smell similar (not like a dupe) but similar to Kim Kardashian's debut perfume. I like Kim Kardashian's bottle design better than this one but this scent takes the lead in strength. It is stronger and lasts about an hour or two longer.

This fragrance is really clean. I mean CLEAN. One of the cleanest, most "linen-translated" type of white floral perfumes that I've ever smelled.

Scent Itself - 8.5/10

Longevity - About 5 hours.

Projection - One thing I love about this scent is that the projection is entirely adjustable. One spray rubbed between wrists will be office safe giving only 1-2 feet of projection. Two sprays on neck and two sprays on wrists will get you about 5 feet of projection and will pack some punch for a night out. And adding two sprays to your shirt will add even more strength.

Overall Score - 9/10

In closing :: I'd like to say that normally I can tell just from the notes & reviews whether I'll like a fragrance and this one...I was really nervous to purchase and entirely UNSURE if I would like it or not. But I am very impressed. I really like it. I even think I love it. I also have Fergie's "Viva" perfume which I just recently wrote a review about. Looks like based on being two-for-two now...I have no choice but to buy "Outspoken Fresh" and "Outspoken Party." Will be sure to do so...and stay tuned for reviews on those ones! For now and for this one...two thumbs up Fergie! This is beautifully done! I can easily see this being a wedding day perfume. So floral and clean. Gorgeous and classy.

gtabasso

lovely and different in the top from the average modern fruity floral; tart berries in the top with saffron and an aquatic note; light tuberose and passion flower in the middle; kept waiting for the leather, vetiver and woods; it remains a fruity aquatic that gets a bit drier from the wood; could have used a dose of patch or musk; downgraded from like to okay because it stayed in that aquatic fruity floral phase, not dark or heavy as expected; Why is no one mentioning the aquatics?

hamidouhanane101

Edit: if you want this and cant get your hands on it get kim kardashian original perfume instead it's basically the same scent exept this one has a slight cassis opening, other than that middle and base notes are exactly the same.

i loved fergie when i was teenager and this perfume is a good representative of her image. sexy seductive.
thanks to this perfume i discovered the scent of blackcurrant/cassis and i have since been looking for a blackcurrant perfume. after the initial note of black currant disappeares you get that tuberose scent mixed with leather wich is kind amazing
I loved how sexy this scent was, the only down side is that it is not long lasting and i wish the black currant remained the whole time.
the color of the bottle represents exactly how dark the juice is

hristina.chi

For me it's like two separate scents growing alongside. One is the girly sweet berry thing ( yet not that pinky because of the sourness of the casis) and the other one is the dark mistique leather smoky scent. Not quite mixing but not fighting too! It is a scent of opposite extremes, perfect for a woman with many faces. Flirty at first then growing to dark seductive. Quite nice frangrance. NB! Maight be too strong for the sensitive noses!

juxtapositionjones

This is the scent I adored when I had lost a lot of weight, and was fitting into skinny jeans.
Confident, sexy, strong. But hey, I am a woman with curves.
Its so adorable. The fruitiness isnt immature at all. The woody and leather base gives it strength, and staying power.
Yep, just an empty bottle is all I have left.
And by the way, I have no idea who fergie is.

IndiePenScent

This lasts barely over an hour on me, but I keep it around because sometimes it's fun to dip my toe into the world of hot leather dancing a passionate tango with juicy black grapes in a tuberose garden, ha ha!

The middle is a dark fruity tart that leads into a satisfactory woody close. Sillage reminds me of a bodywash- twenty minutes of a glorious aura, twenty minutes of a flirty trail, then twenty minutes of increasingly rare whiffs until it's gone entirely. Honestly, given the price (on eBay), it's a perfect after-shower scent for those nights when I just wanna have a little fun, no strings attached.

Fragrant Fish

I avoided Avon for years. I survived my dad's Avon collection as a child (yes, it was a huge 'thing' in the old days). Dusting all those bottles was my job and I grew to hate them all. I still cringe when I run across those cutesy shaped bottles in antique shops and flea markets. I also hated getting 'cast offs' for presents. Even as a teenager, I gravitated to more mature scents (Tabu, etc) while most of my friends wore Sweet Honesty. Undeniable was my first Avon perfume as an adult and I loved it. I still avoid the old Avon scents but have found that many of the new ones are quite good. Fergie's Outspoken came as part of a perfume lot I bought on eBay. I set it to the side while I dove into the vintage perfumes I'd bought the lot for. It too was a pleasant surprise. It starts out pretty straight forward floral/fruity with a hint of berries. My first thought was 'Meh...., not bad but not something I'd reach for all the time'. After the first hour, it changed to a more interesting leathery scent. I'm also surprised by how long it lasts. As I've gotten older, my skin eats perfumes and most are gone very quickly. Perfumes that used to last all day are now gone in an hour or so. A note to all you younger women -- enjoy it!! It also sits really close to the skin. Ultimately, this isn't the right scent for me. I'm a 60 year old woman who rides Harleys. I smell like leather a lot as it is. I'd like my perfume to be different. Any women who loves leather should try this one though.

UnearthlyApothecary

I don't really agree with the comparisons to Michael Kors. Micheal is pure tuberose. Outspoken has more of that laundry/fresh vibe. I wish I got more “darkness” because while I DO notice the fruit and leather it’s that laundry musk that steals the show. Outspoken is a very unique concept as tropical fruity leather is just not something you stumble upon every day.

edikiss

This is my favorite fragrance. It smells really nice on my skin. This is a sweet category perfume with floral scent and blueberries. Very feminin and strong. You can wear all time. The smell persist days. Simply love it.

lovemysoul

I love Outspoken by Fergie Avon!! It's stunning. Very strange and weird, but I love it. I can't describe it at all! I am just addicted to it!!!!!
And I'm in love with the bottle and the colour, and the name of it!

slavka.filipova

It's a good fragrance, i have this for nearly 5 years, i was keeping for special moments cause i liked it. I can't describe but i like wearing it lately.

FionaNewZealand

I've worn Outspoken a couple of times, and it smells quite masculine on me which is a shame. Perhaps it's the leather?

chiaradec13

I like the smell though I'm not sure if I smell like a grandma....btw since this edp is already discontinued I got this at deeply discounted price yesterday.

Piperok26

I had to give this one away. This literally reminds me of the incense in church that the priest uses. Just smells like burnt incense to me.

avonman

Just an FYI to All You Fergie OUTSPOKEN Lovers...This and ALL It's Flankers are being Discontinued from AVON!

Perfumeaddict777

I never used to buy avon products, i thought they were cheap, lifeless perfumes. I remember my mom always buying avon as a kid, the avon lady was like family and was even my bus driver! The only avon i was familiar with was candid, timeless, powdery ones like that and i blew avon off. Recently a lady at our church started bringing in avon magazines, intrigued by the new scents and good reviews on fragrantics i thought I'd give it a shot. Well outspoken is one of the 6 perfumes i bought from them and ended up being one of my favorites! Outspoken is more of a suede instead of black leather. It smells of suede, black current, and tuberose. Im obsessed with anything tuberose lately. I love the way this perfume blends with my skin. It's soft but powerful, reminiscent of micheal micheal kors. Outspoken has no gardenia like alot of tuberose perfumes have. To me, this perfume is sexy, creamy, a bit edgy and different from what i normally wear. Believe it or not i receive more compliments wearing this than i hey from some of my more expensive perfumes. Something in this fragrance gets my husband all mushy and touchy Feely. Haha. I just ordered two more bottles. Micheal kors (still on my wish list) is the classy, bright, loud, happy, let's go shopping and go out perfume while outspoken is the sultry, romantic, lets get wild perfume. Im a fan of avon now because of this perfume. Longevity is way better than i expected, lasting around 4 hours on me, 6 hours on clothes, sillage surrounds me and reaches out about an arms length. I no longer associate avon with powdery perfume, big curly short hair, gaudy makeup and jewelery but see it as a place that i can get good quality perfumes for a good price, i can no longer be a perfume snob because there are some lower priced treasures out there

On Avon catalogue paper it smelled intriguing, but on my skin... it wasn't good. Dislike.

peferrarine

It is kind of a dark floral, if such thing exists.

Most prominent note on my skin is the black currant, fruity and 'dark', along with the white flowers adding sweetness and the wild berries with the passion flower with a bright tangy (nos exactly citric) undertone.

I like it a lot, although you KNOW is not a high end fragrance. Smells like a really fancy liquid soap, or shower gel. Underneath the fruits and flowers and darkness, it has that 'after-shower' feeling.

Unfortunately, does not last long on me (about a couple hours). I keep it in my bag, so i can reapply (and everyone around me compliments it).

Gigi The Fashionista

Outspoken is not as outspoken as I am about this sexy, exotic fragrance. Yeah it's an Avon fragrance but I've discovered some amazing Avons that smell very expensive and are better than the sum of their parts. This is a bold aroma of fruits, white flowers, woods and leather. The opening of black currants is like sweet wine. Some fruit notes of carambola and berries add a touch of sweetness. Passion flower is at the heart of this fragrance along with white floral scents of jasmine and tuberose. Very heady, very fragrant. The fruity-floral combo is there for the first hour or more. The dry down lasts longer and it becomes a darker, more sultry and stronger fragrance of woods and a lot of leather. This is an evening fragrance for me and I wear it on date nights. For me this is as good as Dior's Poison. It's really such a multi faceted fragrance of sweetness, muskiness and spicness. The leather is rather masculine so this stuff is easily unisex and guys can rock it too. A good price but hard to find. Get it from ebay while you can.

matillyrose

I often wonder if the celebrities that put their name on these perfumes actually wear them.

Does Fergie really like this perfume?

Do you remember the old vintage fly spray pumps where you filled the barrel with liquid Mortein and then pumped the spray out?

That's what Outspoken smells like to me, old fashioned bug spray.

There is something underneath which is floral but it just doesn't hang around long enough to enjoy.

When my teenage son told me I smelt like fly spray, I washed it off.

slvratta

Very nice fragance!!!! And it lasts so long!

SeafoamMermaid

Alluring, but with poor longevity and silage. Shame!

fyrewoman

This is another Avon garage sale find for a $1. All my Avon perfumes come from garage sales except for the Mark instant vacation line,i purchase those on ebay.

I do not se how this would remind someone of Michael. I finished a 3.4 oz bottle with rollerball & lotion of Michael. Maybe the leather & suede notes would do that?

It mainly smells of berries with leather. I kept the lotion and got rid of the perfume because i don't mind the berry smell in the lotion compared to the spray. I think the freshness of the starfruit tones that down.

If you want a more affordable perfume to remind you of Michael you should try Baroque Bleu by Stacked Style. It has a grassy note that i got sick of so i got rid of that as well, but the coconutty white floral is very much the same. Some people sell it for less than $20 on ebay and suprisingly there is someone trying to sell for over $100 for a 1.7 oz bottle.

Kohla1

I honestly believe that when I wear this perfume and I have a headache/migraine my migraine goes away. I dont know what it is but it seems to help.
NEW Fergie Outspoken Party perfume coming. Dont know when but cant wait!

Manega77

Me encanta su olor, es diferente, pero no dura en mí, me gusta oler a perfume y no huele, pero según la aplicas es una delicia, es una pena que no dure su olor en mi piel.

claudiajanet22

It's dark, deep and sweet, really original smell i love it. I had to give it away because it gave me headaches but i still considering a wonderfull smell.

PLUMPIE

A modern day leathery sweet berries version of Amarige. I actually like this more than Amarige as it is a tad less soapy and more edgy. Don't be put off by the fact that this is a celebu scent it's actually quite nice, it's just a shame that they have overpriced this and for the lasting power (which is not great) it is not worth the price and they will go and discontinue this!

preciousdrug

I'm in a love and hate relationship with this one. The hate comes mostly from the part where the scent doesn't mix well with my skin chemistry. The notes are too mee a bit .. hmm.. pointy, bittery.. I kind of like them, i kind of like the not-so-common scent, but i also kind of dislike it. My boyfriend doesn't like it, and i never was complimented on it. It was my second Avon perfume and also my favourite untill i got Today, the playful Scentinis and Little Red Dress (all from Avon). As you can see i like sweet and floral, but i guess I'm more drawn to a sweeter sweet-floral scent.

EmiliM

Oh, my dear, beautiful Outspoken, why are you not a bit more... outspoken?

I didn't believe they existed, but you are a deliciously dark fruity scent. A leathery, buttery, spicy black currant. Dipped in honey, dark and thick. How sweet you are, in a dried fruit kind of way. Your barely noticeable spiciness dances with your strong white flowers.
And you are so purple. Yes, you can definitely dress your personality.

I just wish you were stronger. I wish you weren't so quiet.

Satinne

A very soft but a bit to the heavy side. I use it only in winter, gives me warm feeling. I usually don't like heavy perfumes, but this one i ok. Leather and blackcurrant. If you like floral, sweet, woody perfumes, and would like to buy something a bit more heavy for winter - you might start with this one.

kaypops

I was dissapointed with this. Here's why.... I have been dying my hair black for years with Revlon box hair dye....this perfume smells just like the hair dye I use. I'm not so sure I want to walk around smelling like box hair dye. I did layer this though with Demeter's "Between the Sheets" Fragrance and adding the burst of citrus to it made it smell completely different and quite lovely. I'll use this up by layering the scent, but I won't repurchase this again.

m_mtz40

It has been called similar to Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Amarige and Lancome Hypnose and those i have not tried: New Musk Prince Matchebelli, Kim Kardashian, Valentina Abosoluto, Lacoste Pour Femme & Blue Lady Rasasi.

To me it is a tad sweeter n less musky (orris root?) than M Kors n in the dry down stage much lighter & muskier (leather?) than Marc Jacobs and much much lighter than Amarige. Also it is like Jivago 24K. A nice budget wise alternative if u r into those!

polkadot27

It's gourmand, its fruity, its mouthwatering, and its rather deep. Smells delicious and warm in the cold weather. I've said it before when reviewing the other fergie 'intense'. This one should have been named 'intense' instead of the other. This is the darker deeper more gourmand, comforting scent out of the two, the other is fruity, tropical and summery. It's distinctive and sexy but not in a gaudy, overdone offending way, it is creamy and fruity and blended smoothly. A cheap affordable winter favourite. suitable for all ages. Men seem to be fond of this one.

tumpabanerjee

This perfume is really good Bt. doesn't stay long, if you people love this perfume, then just trust me and blindly go buy rasasi blue lady, in India it's not more than 1000 bucks newhere, that is max12-15 dollars!!! Blue lady is the 100% copy of this bt with more depth. Also this outspoken came later.N yes I wS little disappointed after purchasing this one, because it smells exactly like blue lady rasasi and more costlier, and blue lady stays on almost everyone for atleast 7-8 hrs, and sillage is so good of blue lady that even aftr you leave the room, people will get the smell in a gud way... I give this outspoken 4/10 for sillage, and 4/10 for longevity!!!

rihabi

Great invention! :D really loved it. Had it in 2010 when it was released, i guess i got it in the autumn. Perfect for the cold seasons. Really deserves to be purchased multiple times.

TheAnastasia

HeidiLynn totally agree with you - very good review and description of the Outspoken! Some time ago purchased it for the 3rd time (actually the only one I repurchased)! It is spicy, sweet and fruity at the same time! It has this frosty blackcurrant vibe blended with delightful intense tuberose, ohh! The sillage is definite moderate and I'm usually into sillage bombs, but this perfume is too good to be judged by that. Longevity is good though! I've been wearing both in spring and summer, but found out that cold weather compliments this fragrance even more! yumm!

sunshinegurl17

I thought I still had this stuffed somewhere in my drawer and I went looking for it and apparently I gave it away. I don't ever remember spraying it on, so I guess that shows how much I liked it.

aromaminx

Very disappointed with this fragrance. Very little to get thrilled about here. I'll pass.

Thutel

igualzinho ao Amarige

mew94

I got the gift set which came with 15ml bottles of Outspoken, Outspoken Intense and Viva. I really liked Outspoken, so I got the gift set which came with the lotion and candle, I also got the pendant separately. But thanks to to candle, whenever I smell this now, it just reminds me of candles. It's not a bad thing. I actually really love the smell and wish it would last longer on me. When I put it on in the morning, I'd smell it when I get on the bus, but once I get off, it's gone.

WolfHaleigh

Started wearing this three years ago and I always pull it out for February. Very sweet, and that's what I loved about it. It lasts but doesn't get stale. Very satisfied with it.

Chicagobelle

Agreed an easy fresh scent that's not over the top. I bought a purse size bottle and will use it for moments when I need a quick fresh up scent. I do agree that it reminds of Michael by Michael Kors. Overall it's an okay fragrance.

fxfxfx

cheap and chic perfume.
so powdery and so sweet at the same time.
one of the best perfume i bought from Avon.

tooti73

I use this on days that I feel like a casual, warm fragrance.
I love the note of leather. It gives it a very warm clean feel.

edna maria de lima rocha

pr quem gosta de Poema da Lancôme..Beuty da Calvin Klen
iram gosta desse perfume..eu tenho só tem que colocar bem pouquinho...

Mizuko

One of the worst Avon perfumes I purchased. Others don't notice it. It's not lasting even 5 minutes. It's like: spray and disappear. A total waste of money. The smell isn't enjoyable. It's like a misfortunate mixture of Black Currant and Leather. I couldn't pick any other notes in this perfumy. Very disappointing.

BikiniBabe

I recently got this perfume as a gift form my grandma =) Like i had mentioned before in my reviews - grandma buys me the things that she likes not necessarily what i would choose =)

It's a different kinda perfume for Avon i'd say - a bit sassy and very empowered woman kinda feel to it...almost masculine at times.

I like it but its not really my cup of tea - i feel that the berry mix and the star fruit make it a bit cold and uninviting. Not a vixen scent. But i do enjoy the die down... the woody note makes it smell very cozy and homey somehow.

I might just like this perfume more because of the fact that its from my grandma rather than for its ingredients. =p

Jelenaa

I really love this perfume. It's very fruity but woody in the same time. Fergie has one of the best perfumes in Avon cataloges. The design is very interesting:)

Raggagirl1

Hate this scent gives me a headache every time I try to wear it it smells nice on other people but the smell on me is waaaaay to strong almost sickly. The floral is way too much not for me at all im glad I won it and didn't pay for it!

ryanhuynh

It's smells better than Outspoken Intense... This scent very femine and sexy.. Outspoken Intense smell like cheap soap..

lcommisso

It is a pretty powdery fruit scent. Again, for a younger audience, but it isn't coyingly sweet like many of the celebuscents (spelling?). I actually bought it and used half of the bottle, which is really good for me, as I usually get sick of something fairly quickly. For the price, it is a good deal.

HeidiLynn

Oh my! I had no expectations, and was unprepared for the delightful fragrance. I saw berries, flowers and leather and assumed it might be disjointed and chaotic. Instead, I find a light floral delight combined with the simple careless joy of wild, ripe fruit. It’s definitely a perfume that doesn’t take itself too seriously, yet isn’t the sugared berry mess that so many other fruity-florals are. This is a woman’s perfume, not a perfume for a girl….and yet, it captures the girlishness that I think all of us try to hold on to. The white flowers are strong, but not overpowering; and they are balanced by the light fruitiness of the currant and the unusual smell of the passionflower. I don’t know that I’ve smelled currant in a fragrance before; it is wilder than a typical berry, I think. I don’t get any leather as a note, but think it must be there (with the vetiver and ebony wood) giving this perfume a bit of shadow and dimension. This woman may be out collecting wildflowers and berries, but she didn’t stick to the meadows and roadsides—she ventured into the woods, too; but not too far in, this doesn’t get dark.

I find this perfume reminds me of Lancome Hypnose, and a tiny bit of Lacoste Pour Femme. It’s the passionflower-white flower combination. Outspoken has more fruit, and does get sweeter. It comes close, but I don’t think it crosses into being syrupy or overly sweet (and I’m not a gourmand perfume fan; I prefer spice, musk and sandal). I have a small sample vial, but may end up splurging on a full bottle!

rozita_junior

I wear this perfume to the office and my colleagues said that i smell nice. this has become one of my signature perfume. i love the mixed smell of fruity and floral notes. i wish the star fruit note smells stronger, but overall, i love this perfume

VeeNVegas

After smelling this on my co-worker several times I caved and bought it. It really is a safe, fruity floral with lots of tuberose. Bitter fruits though, not sweet. The sweetness comes from the white flowers here. On me this smells like a fruity Michael Kors Michael. Was hoping for some of the leather or woody notes but never got them.,

bre.emry

I used to use this after P.E. when I was younger. I can't really remember what it smells like except it was really heavy(leather?),I think I actually wanted the Outspoken Intense and my mom ordered me this one from Avon when she used to do it. I mean, it's not a bad scent, just I think it was too racy/sexy/mysterious/old for me when I was that age? I don't know. lol :/

christinawells

I had to have this when it came out. I have never met anyone yet (I see some on this forum) who did not like the fragrance. Maybe it works with my chemistry, but I have always gotten compliments. My husband can't get enough of it. I will agree it is like sex in a bottle, daring, racy, seductive, powerful -and it makes you feel that way when you wear it. It lasts for 4-6 hours on me, but not strongly- I keep the purse spray with me to refresh. Lasts much longer when you layer with the lotion.

TheMirjam12

i've got this one in this little sample size. it is the same floal scent. no opening notes or anything... maybe it is just because it is sample.... won't buy it!!

mmiched

Got it extremely cheap on ebay and I have to say it is a sweet smelling perfume. It does smell like a fruity Amarige. I would wear but I did notice that the initial smell does go away very quickly and you probably would have to spray over and over. I like the bottle too!

swim_fatale

Got it as a Christmas present a couple of years ago from someone who apparently didn't know me as well as they thought they did. Definitely too strong IMO. Too sweet, like syrup (cough syrup???) I took a whiff and almost gagged. Sprayed a bit on my wrist but was forced to wash it off after less than an hour. Not for me. :(

StavrouliMitsi

Ok, it may be a freezing cold parfume, it may contain too much "night" in it, but everyone should agree that this one is one of the most unique perfumes one has ever smelled.
The existence of leather makes it too sexy, when it is combined with the black currant, and jasmine adds a slightly soft note in this.
So yeah, I agree, this perfume smells like sex to me!
I totally love it!

Alice Walker

Very fruity smelling, I don't wear it often but when I do people don't seem to like it. I also have to spray it very often as it fades but it's VERY strong smelling when first sprayed

fragaddict

My huband loved this long before I did. It is deep, fruity and unique. It smells like sex in a bottle. Imagine sex on a leather couch, with an array of fruit laid out on the table and a vase with tuberose, jasmine and passion flower somewhere in the backround and you have outspoken. I've had this perfume for over a year and I'm just now enjoying it. While I think I like outspoken intense better as it is a little sweeter, there is definitley a place for this one. It screams sex and is unlike many florals out there now. My husband smells this on me and is instantly taken to a place of passion and lust. Fergie and Avon knew what they were doing with this one! Anyone looking to rev up the sex engine and spice things up should try this.

polkadot27

Deep, strong and alluring. Its a night time scent very dark & seductive. Its distinctive and unique too. I will consider buying it again when mine runs out.

nananessa

I love the strange bottle but I would have never associated the fragrance of this one with Fergie if I had done a blindfolded sniff test. But for a celeb frag, this one is fairly well done by Avon. It is rather florally sweet for me. But it is a good anytime frag, especially for we tuberose lovers. The tuberose & jasmine are definitely the stars in this one! I like it very well but would easily get bored with it if overused.

TrailerTrashPrincess

picked up a sampler from Avon and am giving some of their fragrances that i'd never otherwise be interested in a try...

this has that same sour-bitter-rotten-fruit note that so many of the recent Bath & Body Works scents have, but beneath that it kinda smells like a shampoo.

i've had it on for half an hour and i'm looking forward to scrubbing it off.

BlueKitten

I'm freakin confused about this one....

I first smelled it 3 years ago, when a schoolmate who was selling avon, brought a sample at school. I felt in love with the fragrance howver I couldn't afford it when I was 18.

After 3 years, I finally got to buy it. I continued loving the smell, it makes me feel so sexy and intependent, it's dark and reminds me of something frozen, luxurious in a playfull way, it makes me feel myself. But I was so dissapointed to find out that it lasts no more than 10 minutes on my skin AND clothes!!!!!

Last night I put a lot of it, then went to make my hair and after 10 minutes nobody could smell it!!!!

What a pitty, because I love it, but I'm very toughtfull of buying it again, if I cannot smell it.

Bklynlatinlady

This was a blind buy for me. The notes intrigued me. I do like it, smells very nice. I'm not a big fruity person, but the fruit is not overpowering, it hits you first fast but the florals come in very quickly and are simply beautiful. The only problem I have with this perfume is it doesn't last at all. At a max 4-5 hours tops.

mrjls

i really like this perfume an i have its follow up intense also an the bottles are pretty

Mooncatt

I enjoy this fragrance and hope the dry down lingers for awhile.

MMC

Gostei de Outspoken tem uma força e doçura deliciosa, deixa rastro feminino e confortavel.Mas tem pouca fixação na minha pele.Lembra Amarige.

rafaellaR.123

I smelled it from a magazine I couldn't detect any of what people were saying: I got a woody, warm, strong, sexy thing that I thought it was a daytime version of Poison. Am I crazy?

Berlynn

This fragrance simply smells like a dryer sheet on my skin. very cheap, yet strong.

VqueenLeigh

I got a free sample of this and I'm happy with it this is a non offensive smell. The first notes I smell with this is Iced Berries then it smooths down to an almost fresh deodrant soft floral smell. I like this fruity, soft floral scent. Its a nice causal scent!

Nicole Kelly

I collect perfumes. I didn't like this (typically I don't like Avon perfumes) so I bought the solid perfume heart 'necklace' that came with the gift set. I bought it on Amazon from a seller that was just selling the solid. Celebrity fragrances usually disappoint me with the MAJOR exception of Taylor Swifts new Wonderstruck....LOVE it.

Baby Dior

Hola Amigos Perfumados

Hello Friends Scented
This smells like Givenchy Amarige but stronger and sweeter we say that Fergie's favorite perfume that that piece of Givenchy was the first thing I thought the first time that an old friend of mine who sells Avon taught me a lot I like me seems a good idea for people who can not afford the Givenchy;)

Diana Lloris

LOVE LOVE LOVE! The notes are lovely and it compliments well. It's not overwhelming. It's soft, sensual, feminine.

GinaVitiello

Love, Love, Love this perfume!! I get so many compliments on it, wear it almost everyday!!

perhapspersephone

Bought it and gave it away. I expected more though I DON'T KNOW WHY. It is rare that Avon soes an interesting scent . Outspoken is just another perfume to my nose. Unoffensive and average ,

ecofreak2001

Pleasant scent. Fruity & flowery at first. Then at time passes a spicy, musky, woody scent stays with you for a while. True, it doesn't have much of a lasting power. But for the price you can reapply it worry free.

SexySpice

For Avon, I found this to be on the more expensive side (compare with the Scentini collection, running at about $8) Nonetheless, I was always curious, so I tried it, and walked away from the Avon counter.

The opening was fruity, very fruity. But it had a darker essence to it. Definatly a night fragrence from the start. Pleasent! A very unique tuberose fragence, I might add.

Now, roughly 4 hours later, I can still smell it clearly. The leather and the black current are weaving in and out of each other beautiful, along a fading background of barley-there tuberose.

sugahuni

A beautiful scent! :-)

ruxandra77

too much blackcurrant, that's true...that's why I like it ...I think the name suits the perfume. Nice bottle looks very good for a gift
I love fruity parfumes and I really like this one. I have the solid perfume but it's not very persistent

chey89

I hate this fragrance it smells cheap and makes me want to throw up!! lucky I only had a tester and not a full bottle!! It smells like a wet dog has been sprayed with cheap perfume! eww

MoonGirl

Fun, fruity and a little bit sexy. An absolute bargain and it comes in a sassy bottle too so it looks good out on show.

jaa456

I purchased this blindly, searching for an affordable replacement for Michael Kors perfume. I miss wearing Michael Kors, it reminds me of the more decadent times. So given the current economic crisis, I was willing to give Outspoken a try. I found a .5 oz for a song on Ebay and waited for it to arrive.

It came! From first spray Outspoken calls out coyly "don't I remind of you Michael Kors". Minutes later Outspoken is shouting at me "don't I remind you of Michael Kors! I'm not Michael Kors! I'm Outspoken!" Louder and louder with going crescido.

In a panic I go to wash it off, but find there is no need. Outspoken has reduced to a whispering soapy drydown. Boo, now I don't have a replacement for Michael Kors and I'm five short from my next bottle.

may_perfumeaddicted

I happened to like this fragrance, but I can't wear it. It gave me headaches and made me sick!

karolla28

First when I try Outspoken it was auwfull. Then I became body cream- that was good. I tried second time EdP and I like it.

ilovemusicandcandies

I just finished using this perfume and I really find it not that strong but it was good; also when I sweat for some reason it did not made it worse it fact it went along which was good. However, if you are the type of person who likes to use perfume/cologne as often this probably is not suitable for you since it is powdery yet somewhat has a somewhat woodsy smell. This is good for night wear only but you could wear it in a the day if you like.

londa70

Smells like pickles and roses.

ScentOCD

Nice floral scent. Fruit followed by the tuberose is what I notice immediately upon first spray. Leather appears in the dry down. It gives it the edge it needs to avoid being too 'flowery', for me... Well done fragrance for a very good price. Not a favorite, but I will wear it. :)

I wore this again after not wearing for a of couple months. I had to add that the longevity on this one is GREAT. It really lasts on my skin. The morning after wearing I realized the scent on my wrist was one of the first things I noticed upon waking.

xstitchalanna

I gave this a try since it got some decent reviews on here, but I really wasn't impressed by it. It starts off with some fruits and then I can smell the tuberose, jasmine and leather. Honestly I am not a white florals or a leather fan so just because I am not fond of it doesn't mean you won't like it. I had a swipe sample of this and i think it is not as strong as if it was a spray. Lightly applied this perfume is ok, but more then lightly I know would give me a headache. It lasted 6 hours on me and I think is a better spring and summer fragrance. Im going to pass on this one. Oh and it did not smell old lady to me. Just a little to much on the sweet side for my preference. So young people, don't be afraid to try it.

Southpaw1982

I do not wear it much, but I do get compliments on it. I would say go easy on it. It is a little strong.

SheShe

A cheaper version of Amarige, but darker thanks to leather. Poor staying power and Avon-ish soapy base notes.

Gyöngy

Tipical autumn fragrance, opening is wonderful, but after it become something else I don't like so much (but not bad). I was disappointed in Outspoken EDP. :(

preciousdrug

I like it. I mean, it is kind of a special perfume, it has a different scent then all those you can smell all day.
First I had disliked the scent, but after some minutes I started to smell the tuberose :) It's intense and the base notes stay for a long time. At the end of the day I still smell sweet and misterious, but not as intense as in the beginning.
Conclusion: like it, it is in my top 10 perfumes.

mizzjnice

This perfume smells just like one that my Grandma wears, it must be the Givenchy Amarige. I don't like it for me at all. I would expect something young and fresh from Fergie and, while I appreciate that she didn't decide to create another fruity-floral, this one just doesn't seem to match her image. It's too old-school, IMHO.

nicki317

This one is nice. Has some of my favorite notes; tuberose, black currant and jasmine. I can't smell the leather in this but that's good because I'm not sure if I want to smell like leather anyway. May not be for everyone, but to me it's a perfect sexy floral and not overbearing. It also has longer lasting power than your average Avon fragrance. And another great thing about this is the price--I got a half ounce purse spray for under $5 on ebay. After I smelled it, I ordered more plus the lotion. This will be one I use often.

Perfumefreak

I just love this.
I am a tuberose lover and would like to wear it daily.
Some say that this is a cheap copy of Amarige.
It certainly is very close but Outspoken has its own aura. It is more subtle and softer than Amarige. Outspoken can be worn daily but Amarige is for dewy nights.
I, myself can't stand Amarige, it is too powerful; gives me a huge headache.
Maybe that is why I love Outspoken so much.
It lasts about 4-6 hours on me, and that's pretty good.
I will purchase this again surely!

Ps. THE BEST SCENT FROM AVON / FERGIE !
Makes me smile everytime i use it.

cinsot

Outspoken consistently wavers between a love and a like. I love the body lotion and like the EDT (Avon perfumes work best with my chemistry in their body product presentations as a rule).

I remember reading (in reviews below) the comparison between Skin So Soft and Outspoken; based on this newly acquired knowledge I purchased a bottle of Avon's Original SSS Bath Oil recently and put that theory to the test for myself.

My, I must say, such a fetching combination! The herbal undertones in SSS create a flawless canvas to facilitate the best parts of Outspoken on my skin, passionflower and starfruit laced with blackcurrant petals.
This combination (three layering products) may just keep Outspoken in the loves rank.

P.S. I own Amarige in EDT and EDP formulations and on my skin they are a completely different fragrant journey to Outspoken. Sniffing from the bottles however, I can see where Kristal is coming from. My advice: judge for yourself on your skin. Let your skin do the talkin'!

iulianash

hmmm ... i like it so much this parfume :X is one of my favorite :) when i wear it don't know is like i believe more in me ... i weraing this only when i wnat to impreess someone or i want to qonquer ...:)) haha :)) but is one of my favorite :)

pinkmuzic

I've found this beautiful perfume at flea market at a super HUGE DEAL!! I THOUGHT THIS IS THE TIME TO TRY IT!! since everyone was raving about it!!! MEN... i'm really sorry but this is a HUGE HEADEAK MEGA SUFFERING SMELL I CANNOT STAND IT! I DON'T know why it does smell super nice sensual & sexy on my friends :( i guess some perfume are made for darker pigmentation skin person & some for lightler skin like me! it's so funny 'cause my boyfriend tried it! & end it up!! asking for the bottle it suits him ... OK!! i don't understand but it does smell SUPER SEXY ON HIM!!! I have some other Avon perfume that are sublime but.. NOT for me this one is pretty BAD on me i truly wanted to love this on :(

jillrp

I adore the smell of this - sexy, musky, but not too spicy - but it does not last more than an hour, at most. I got a small purse-size that I only use if I'm going out because, I feel, even at Avon prices a full size is not worth it.

smartypants1562000

Love this scent. My husband seems to like it so I will buy it again. Sampled it today and lasted for at least 4-6 hours on me. So had to reapply it when I freshened up my makeup. buy this one girls men love it.

tessture

This doesn't strike me as sexy. It's a pretty, slightly pink floral fragrance, like Eliage. Peonies, tuberose, fresh florals with a nice watery edge, then drying down to sweetness with no leather to mediate. Office or Church suitable, pleasantly pretty. I can't see how this is outspoken or even very different. Pretty though.

tmy

i hate it ! smells so bad !

biancaloren

does NOT last. but I love it anyway. and spray away all the day. a purse size carried with me. the sample was horrid. the actual perfume is lovely!

missk

I quite like Fergie as a celebrity. I find her strangely beautiful with her almost alien features and raspy voice. I was intrigued to see whether Outspoken captured the type of person I saw her as being.

First off, I could smell the blackcurrant clearly when I first applied this fragrance to my wrist. It had that dark, rich and jammy quality that was indeed very bold and sensual. The heart wanted to be soft, feminine and flowery, however the jasmine and tuberose surprisingly didn't appear to be as creamy and ethereal as those notes often are. I think the saffron and woodsy notes kept the white floral accords grounded.

After a while the scent turned rather sweet, but not gooey thankfully. The Avon powderiness did emerge towards the drydown, however it didn't make this fragrance smell too mature. I would have honestly liked to have smelt more of the leather in the base, but the leather and vetiver were rather subtle.

I may have perhaps preferred a richer oriental to be the fragrance behind Fergie's name, however from what I've experienced and worn for several hours, has left me somewhat in agreement with this fragrance. Outspoken is really not that bad at all.

Nuusutaja

If it's sexy, it is sexy in the sense of ninties. Sex of 2010s smells sweeter, more like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey fragrances.
Actually the only good thing about Outspoken is nostalgy and cute impressions of 1990s, when everyone was wearing strong dark perfumes.

lalalala

I first purchased body lotion for only $6. At first i really liked it, it smelled different and i never thought i'd be able to smell leather but i indeed though. It's a very sexy fragrance BUT one it's not long lasting, two it's not a scent you can wear everyday and three i found it to be a bit expensive for an Avon perfume at $28 for the perfume alone - personally i'd put in a little bit more money and buy a higher end perfume. I really love and support Avon products but this fragrance is not worth it. I know it got best perfume of 2011 by allure magazine but it doesn't cut it for me. The bottle looks really expensive i will admit..i just wish it had more of a feminine touch. I just figured out that it's more of a unisex perfume in my opinion because when i wore my dad was like "it's a bit masculine..is it for women?". I'm into more fruity/floral/gourmand scents but i love anything that smells sexy and sultry while still being sweet but not cotton candy sweet.

nena18sept

smells sooo cheap and the lasting power it's awful

enzofire

To me, it's not a "worth it" perfume if it doesn't stay on you long enough or isn't strong enough for someone at least 3 feet to smell it. Clearly, outspoken isn't outspoken enough. i like the fragrance but it falls short on staying power. That's what you get from an Avon product.

Habanita

To me it does not really smell like leather at all. But I have to say that I find this scent quite horrible and stinky.

fairybmei

I BOUGHT THIS PERFUME A FEW DAYS AGO...AND I LOVE IT!! IT SAYS THAT HAS LEATHER IN THE BASE BUT I CAN'T SMELL IT, IS MORE LIKE A SOFT FRUITY SCENT. LOVE IT!!

vanja88

men always gave me compliments on this one. i think it's just pure sex :) it's very intense, sexy and provocative!

Scentaholic

This scent for me is nothing like I had expected it to smell. I thought it would be heavier on the leather and ebony wood notes but it's more floral to my nose. I do like it though and have to agree that it does smell like Avons Skin So Soft. It lasts fairly long maybe 4-8 hours but sillage is weak. I would say it's a nice spring scent.

817flowers

A lovely scent, but I was disappointed - simply doesn't last. I applied it twice and it just disappears. I don't get it - why Avon puts out great scents that don't last. Seems that is the case more and more.

Shamcey

I BUY THIS ONE! I LIKE THE SMELL! I SMELL THE LEATHER ON THE BASE NOTES!

Laura Dora

I liked this one I'm thinking about getting a bottle I've been looking for a nice winter scent. I liked the leather. It evolved really nicely and had good staying power.

Nanc

I unfortunately do not get any of the leather which is why I purchased it in the first place, disappointing.

Abby xoxo

This always reminds me of my birthday for some reason and this was one of the first perfumes i ever bought! its absoloutly georgious!

sbkoch

Dark fruity floral, strong berries, I fail to detect any leather. Not too sweet and quite intriguing; it's ok for office wear as long as you use it sparingly - and this is not for wallflowers, as the name says: a confident, outspoken woman.

dianthus

I am so disapointed :( It is also for me kind of less sweet Amarige ...I suppose to find in this interesting bottle something darker but in "Midnight Poison way"...But i like Fergie evethought:D

luxlover

Nice scent but nothing new, just like what the previous comments here stated. It's bold but I can wear it on hot weather. Bottle is cute and it really reflects Fergie. Overall, it's a safe fragrance to wear.

rednut

I like this but not enough to wear it in the evening. Many will say its an evening fragrance but I wear it for work. The blackcurrant top not is quite strong on me and as it dries down I get the Jasmine and Vertyver. The blackcurrent does seem to remain so it remains a little fruity. It does last well and I can still smell it, albeit faintly, after a 9 hour day.

Tina_Salo

I really thought that when this perfume will come up it will be something unusual, sexy and sensitive as Fergie. But...It disappointed me a lot. The smell is so mainline, nothing special :( It may be pretty on some teenage girls who are just beginning with perfumes and do not know many more famous or I should say, more expensive perfumes.

I will only recommend it to girls between 15- 20y. If you will like it...

Sillykelly

I expected SO much more with Fergie putting her name on it. I really wanted to like it and gave it a few honest tries. But it is not only unspectacular, it's somewhat offensive to my nose. Big flowery mix of boring notes. Sorry Avon, not impressed.

eszticc

I got really disappointed in this fragrance :( It is really a cheap watery scent and instantly disappears on my skin :(( When I smell the bottle, it is gorgeous, it reminds me of a cold autumn day with iced berries, but when it gets to my skin, the magic of it goes away :(

butterflyfantasy

sexy scent!!!bolder and daring!!!love the scent the way i love fergie!!!

pansylady

I think this is more of a dark fruity floral than an Oriental- the currant notes are the dominant feature-

In my opinion, the potency and longevity leave much to be desired-

honeydays

I would have liked the leather note to be much louder. I could detect it, but only in random moments, something would float past my nose which actually reminded me more of rubber tires than of leather, but I wanted more of it! Without that tiny hint of the unusual, it's really just a floral. It's nice, but I prefer something a lot more daring and unusual than this. In the end it just isn't memorable.

laura.poison

I expected something more "glamorous" and in fact it's just a girlish perfume... I don't hated, it's just a bit too sweet, fruty more than floral and it just doesn't surprise you with anything.... The scent wears off in a couple of hours.. doesn't have anything "outspoken" to it... it's more like a whisper...

purnima

I am an Avon representative. This perfume is going to be introduced in my country in Dec, 10. I am really looking forward to testing this and hopefully, buying it as soon as it comes out.

TheScentWarrior

Its Fergalicious!! I initially purchased this fragrance (without smelling it first) because I love the bottle and vibrant colors of purple, black and white. Then once I actually smelled the "juice" within, I was mesmerized. The smell is bold, yet inviting. Strong, yet feminine. Quiet and subtle, yet so very OUTSPOKEN!! ;-)

allexa27

No leather,no blackberry, just a plain watery tuberose. It kinda remind me of La Lune 18 by D&G.Not worthy buying it.

secretcrush

I got the opportunity 2 smell this yesteray while at the hair salon... An Avon representative had a tester bottle and I gladly sampled it... Not as bad as I thought it was gonna be...I like the leather and the blackberry in this as well as the subtle use of tuberose dancing in the background... Soft and pretty yet uncommon, wouldnt mind having g a bottle...

flowersandcandy

I really like this perfume because it reminds me of the Avon perfume Cristal Aura which was phenomenal! But sadly was discontinued.

pure auburn

Avon say this one has "Iced Berries" which I'm thinking is the top notes aroma which is very notable and tantalizing when you first spray it on, but that fades to a strong leather notes that predominate - the starfruit, passion flower and blackcurrant notes are delicious and all up its a warm broth - a little haunting too!

stefania27

I loved the smell from the first time i wore it and people around me noticed the new fragrance. I feel the Tuberose, that's what I loved about this parfume, the bold flower :)

perfumegirl

i purchased a bottle of this perfume from my avon rep a short while back now , and im afraid this perfume left me rather dissapointed ...
first impresssions i hated the design of the bottle i was expecting the top of the bottle to be a bit more glam !!
on opening the perfume i expected to smell a lovely leathery but feminine smell where is my leather ? no leather smell in this perfume , when my rep gave me a sample card the scent was great then..so quite let down , and my main impressions was that fergies say it like you mean it scent actually smelt exactly the same as the skin so soft range by avon .. very soapy nothing daring or exciting at all paid 14 quid for this perfume and dont use it any longer as dont like it ! not a perfume id be rushing to buy again ...

Liina

On my skin Outspoken is a bit too masculine and the leather note, which is dominant for me, starts to smell like rubber after some hours. Not working well with my body chemistry at all. Unfortunately, because I love black currant.

c3c

Well iced black currents I can see in the initial opening, then on my skin it develops a soapy quality, like soapy musk.
The black currents have a mixed berry feel that is wonderful but sadly they quickly blend down into the soap and stay there. There are no flowers, certainly no tuberose for me.

Outspoken actually cruises along the lines of Intimately Beckham Night. After wrist by wrist comparison, aside from the opening, they are quite similar except Beckham holds the berry notes much better. All in all I think I'll keep my Beckham and swap Outspoken...sorry Fergie. My skin and your perfume are not a match.

nattonline

After the 1st test, all I could smell were tuberose, black currant and star fruit. It was nice and the tuberose wasn't so much in my face. Still I will have to do a 2nd test to see what I'm missing; where is my leather!? Ugh!

APassionateJourney

I really like Fergie's first fragrance. It really reminds me a lot of Mary J. Blige's "My Life" fragrance but it's easier to get to and easier to get a sample of.

It starts of juicy with a burst of sweet, tarty blackberries and you can also smell the tuberose but it's in the background. It doesn't ever overpower the other notes which is A1 in my book since Tuberose seems to always dominate everything else. They went very light with it and any fragrance that can tame the wildhorse that is Tuberose gets a great review from me.

I don't know for sure how the lasting power is since I just put some on about 15 minutes ago but for 36 bucks you get a solid, a 6.7 lotion and a 1.7 oz bottle of edp. You can't really beat that. I've had other scents from designers that cost WAY more than that and they've faded after 15 minutes. This seems to just be getting started. Good job, Fergie! I think I'll be getting this tonight :)

BelleofRivendell

What can I say about Outspoken? Lots of things; which surprised me as I expected this to be another heavy, cheap smelling Avon perfume. Besides the fact that it’s backed by a celebrity synched my negative predisposition about this perfume.

Boy was I wrong!

Is this another sweet celebrity scent? Yes and No.

The red berries in the top notes and the leathery bottom notes are beautifully held together by the tuberose. I don’t even care for leather tones on me and yet... this is the first perfume I will wear that has those dark leathery tones (and vetiver to boot!) because it is accented by wonderful dark and icy berries that are warmed up by the tuberose, creating a juxtaposition to die for. All the other notes play supporting roles here. Berry, tuberose, and leather run the show, so to speak. On my skin, the berries and tuberose shine, leaving the ebony character of the scent dancing undercovers to a rock n roll tune. No femme fatale quality to it as most people hoped it would. Which is great for me since I wouldn't want to walk around smelling like someone I'm not. I think this is what I had hoped Avril Lavigne's Black Star would smell like. Sweet... but with an edgy kick to it.

Projection is good but the sillage is medium. Staying power leaves something to be desired.

Avon offers money back guarantee. Buy it! ;o)

Nothing special AT ALL on me. Flowery tuberose is all I'm getting and I think I've smelled this in a million other perfumes. I expected something a little "dirtier". For a flowery, leathery, sexy scent-I'll go back to Kiss for Her. Weird as it sounds, that is a REALLY nice scent. It's a "lady in the boardroom, sexpot in the bedroom" kind of scent.

A very nice tuberose & leather scent. The black currant is super sweet & strong but then hushes down a bit for tuberose & leather to ultimately settle in for the duration , but with the juiciness of the berries always present.
I note the leather but it's very subtle , maybe like the lingering faint smell of well loved worn leather from my closet.
The leather note is enough to cast a bad girl feel to this perfume, the florals & berries are sweet & feminine , but the leather may suggest the leather whip used by a dominatrix..
I find the contrast of sweet & dark interesting enough.
This in my opinion is not 'Avon' like - I am no snob but but I dislike many of Avon's frags except for their wonderful Today perfume which happens to be one of my favorites - Outspoken is very well done ; there is no jarring , weird off balance chemical like smell that I can detect in many of Avon's other offerings.
All in all Outspoken is one sexy little number that happens to be very wearable with just a suggestion of darkness contained within.
My only complaint is that I wish it would be a little stronger.

Amarige as reconstructed by Fergie might be a more suitable name for this fragrance because there is a strong resemblance between the two. Outspoken has an initial strong blast of toothache inducing sweet berries. Think black currant covered in corn syrup and sprinkled with sugar. This then turns into something very similar to Amarige and then the wait begins for the leather note. Is that it? No, that is the sickly sweet berries reappearing. Is that it? No, that is the ever-present tuberose. Where is this alleged leather note? Wait, was that it? Did it appear? If so, it was so quick I missed it completely. Sigh...

I didn't detect that powdery fragrance that seems to be the hallmark of most Avon fragrances with this one but I didn't find it that interesting in comparison to run-of-the-mill department store fragrances.

Not a bad fragrance but maybe I was too caught up in wanting that leather note that I feel rather let down by this fragrance as a whole. It is clean, fresh, fruity and tuberosey, which makes me think more of a perky cheerleader rather than the black-clad theater dame I imagined wearing this.

I might still buy this though, but only if it isn't full price.

Aredore

My small sample smells of a fruity, rich tuberose. Pretty, but nothing special.

Blackcurrant is usually like crack to me, especially in a fragrance, but sadly, it does nothing here.

I got a whiff of the leather in the beginning, but it's not strong enough to do the Blvgari Black thing.

I like it, but in a casual, noncommittal way - kind of like how I "like" flavor of the month pop music or whatever. Fun while it lasts, no loss to the world when it's gone.

ojosverdes

I had the chance to smell this one in a magazine it's similar to many other fragrances in the market and by no means original. It's similar to Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Amaringe, and Kim Kardashian perfume. If you like these scent you are going to like Outspoken by Fergie.

I finally got to try this at the Avon store. The first thing I noticed was that it smelled just like Amarige when first applied. Then it softens into light Amarige with a woody leather smell. Then it fades out fast but that's pretty much normal with Avon stuff. It's not that bad but the first blast of Amarige-like floral threw me off. It was like a trip back to the 90s with Givenchy perfumes gone wild. Then it's more woody floral and different.
It's not just another fizzwater celebrity fragrance so it's worth trying out. The base notes of wood and leather may not be for everybody but I like them. I like the painted black bottle too. It's like the black bottles of vintage Arpege, Tabu or Zen. Sort of mysterious looking like a black cat in the night.

I was going to start by saying this is my first celebrity perfume, but I have Elizabeth Taylor's from way back when. c3c is right is saying we shouldn't be put off by the face in front of the ad campaign, but I confess, I have ignored many perfumes because of this. I really like Fergie, the woman and the artist. But, I only got the fragrance as part of my research on leather perfumes. I'm totally surprised how light and 'young' this scent is. I'm still waiting for the leather to kick in. I'm dissapointed but at the same time really like it. I wanted it to reflect Fergie the strong, dominant female, and I got Fergie, the pretty bride. This is a good daytime scent.

When I smelled the sample, all I could feel was tuberose. I got a bottle for me and I´m using it: the smell is completely different. It´s fruity with a little touch of tuberose. My nose is not that good today, so I´ll have to use it again in other oportunity to review it for good.

Zaleska

A beautiful tuberose-berry smell. I can't smell leather, but vinyl, and it's very sexy! Another celebrity tuberose scent I like is Curious by Britney Spears. I'm still don't know which one I prefer! :D

Love it!

Is it me or Outspoken and Givenchy's Amariage smells the same to me? they both
have an an Acidic sweetness base in both
perfumes i think is the pervasive amount of Tuberose of each Fragrances Amariage
has a more of an sour tangy tinges and with more of an use of an woody drydown.

the opening begins with an Tuberose effect mellows out with the presence
of Black currents and crisp textures
of Starfruit. the drydown is bit elusive
Passion flower with it's beautiful foliage adds to the beauty Jasmine and
me is like finding a needle in a haystack if it's mingling with the other
notes but as a single note yes it's easier to find.

There is very little or no Leather scent
but the thought of it make it more sexy
and yes indeed it is a sexy perfume
but the silage is not long lasting compared to Amariage so you need to apply a few times but it's well worth it.

Amarige is a Older refined Sophisticated
Mature and more mannered Sister to Outspoken which is as the description
reads it Younger Edgier daring darker
and aimed for the younger crowd, but when these come together they make an
unlikely bedfellows.

I got this today and is really nice at first it is really fruity,i can smell the iced berries then it become more floral the tuberose dominates the scent (at this point it reminds me a lighter Amariage by Givenchy(i read that Fergie used to wear it))at the end smell like something warm this point i cant describe it,the lasting power is really good for the price,it last like 8 hours on my skin,if you can get it in promotion with the big body lotion you should get it is a great option for a nice Fruity-Floral(is not mature but is not for teens,i mean is a nice balanced is modern but have vintage hints),i totally recomend it!. :)

MimilovesBritney

I got Outspoken with the body lotion and body spray combined for about £14 with Avon, and I have to say that i love this frag! The opening is strong...I found similarities between this and the opening smell of Britney's circus fantasy, but then it warms into something completely different to it. Nothing too outrageous or original, but a pretty good scent for the price...a typical Avon-smelling frag too:)

Buttonbear

This one has that Avon 'powder' scent that they all seem to develop but has some great extras in there. Actually the Avon site reviews mention Skin So Soft's sensual as a big comparison and I can agree with that.
Don't expect a sickly sweet fruit hit - the tuberose, passionflower and jasmine are there from the beginning with a forest fruits tang and then it all softens down into a musky floral with a black leather edge (think expensive car interior)
Currently on a half price offer in the UK for 14GBP + body spray and lotion free

Really though one should not look at a perfume by who's face they choose to put in it's ad's or even what brand produced it (although obviously that can swing you) but by what it smells like. The notes sound intriguing. Some Avon fragrances are very nice, last, and have a great price. Some more expensive perfumes don't last at all. Also in my humble opinion Fergie is looking pretty good. I don't think I'd mind being able to put that outfit on and look that good. I can't wait to try it.

I like Fergie. She has a great voice. It sounds nice. Id like to try it. And the price is right. : )
