i’ve been wanting this perfume for a while ! it’s been on my wish list for forever ! upon opening it i love the bottle &packaging.. ♡ at first it smells like alcohol but that’ll be the mojito note but it’s also a hint of fruit,, but after leaving it to settle i can definitely smell pear&rhubarb! it’s super sweet but also not overpowering (not like give you a headache overpowering) it’s definitely long lasting and smells incredible, i will definitely be repurchasing multiple bottles of it & i have to say it’s definitely up there with my favourite perfumes ♡ highly recommend if you like sugar sweet fruity perfumes :’)

Madyana

This is not a sugar scent like Cloud. This one just has a similar airy, minty twist. In itself, this scent is fresh mohito and rhubarb, not even strong, but refreshing and quite long-lasting. Are we already going crazy comparing all the fragrances to BR 540? It is no longer necessarily a compliment to the fragrance.

juliausa

Light, fresh, airy with just enough sweetness to be adorable, but not juvenile. Juicy tart pear with light mint (mojito) and absolutely delightful base of well mixed flowers and wood notes.

It is not that close to Cloud or BR540, but I guess I can see a slight resemblance. This is much easier to wear. Agrees with my skin chemistry, and lasts very long time. I found myself reaching for it often on hot summer days when I am out of the office.

Skinscents4Fusspots

I wish I could smell Mojito here! That's why I bought it, but alas, on me this is a burst of slightly tart and juicy pear, followed in mere moments by a sweeter pear, orchid and a hint of cedar. It's pretty but I don't feel like I need it in my collection when I have Anais Anais Premier Delice, which is the best Pear perfume around and is stronger and lasts longer!

lorihollie

What the h*ll does this have to do with BR540? It’s doesn’t even smell like Cloud. With that said I still like it. But more for the gym. It’s a fresh sweet kind of perfume, almost like a body spray. Longevity not good. As I said a nice scent for the gym or sleep.

This is tart and wonderful! I've never tried the BR540 original, but it's more tart and refreshing than Cloud, for sure. I think it's probably most appropriate for spring/summer (at least based on my perception of it). I love rhubarb, and can certainly smell it here. Love that is stays tart for a good long while.

poppyetpear

I love br540 and other similar DNA, but this is pretty gross. All my nose picks up is the mojito. It's a no for me.

sallypie

Just like Baccarat Rouge 540 and Ariana Grande's Cloud! No very long-lasting on me, sadly.

lipstickzombie

One of the frags that sadly smells better on other people than me. All I get is iodine and fresh lychees. Tested on my wrist and tried to ride it out but sadly had to wash it off. Clings to clothes like a shitstain.

I wish I had bought this sooner. When I heard that many of the AG bottles were discontinued, and they were going for cheap, I bought three other ones, but could not find this one on the site where I was making the purchase. I found this one elsewhere, though it was pricier than the others, but this is the best one of the lot. I've never sniffed Cloud nor BR540, so I had no expectations except for what I read in the notes. This stuff is amazing on my skin. It reminds me of the first time I tried Byredo Bal d'Afrique, where the blending of the notes were perfect, combining into a scent that is fresh yet cozy, delicious but not so distracting that I can't wear this to bed (Bal d'Afrique is one of the few scents I can actually wear to bed. I don't get full-on boozy with this one. It's a sharp, clean, very slightly synthetic note (someone below mentioned ambroxan, and I do very well with aromachemical) of sparkling pear and rhubarb on first spray, rounded out by clean florals and a light woodiness. There's a sweetness to it, but it's not a gourmand sweetness. One of my best blind buys in the past year. Someone else mentioned a resemblance to Chloe See; though I can detect something familiar, since I own See, I think they are simply distant cousins to each other. Similar vibe, but See is a bit more sweet and heady, a bit powdery. I would not be able to wear See to bed because it's a bit more distracting a scent.

noircat

So this smells like Cloud and Baccarat? I guess I'll stay away from those too, then. This smells better on the skin than it does straight from the bottle. A little bit sweet but overall, just a bit strange. There's a particular note in there that I really did not like. I think I detected a hint of it in another AP fragrance so will cross reference the notes to see if I can figure out what it is at some point. As for Cosmic, I have no idea how to wear it and don't really care to.

imoore

This is perfect in over 20 Celsius. During covid could compliment any hand sanitizer whatsoever with a being at a dentist vibe. A+

RubyRedCancer

Wow, I am instantly addicted upon first spray. Amazing! I definitely see the similarity to Cloud. I have not had the pleasure of trying out Baccarat, yet. I think this is better than Cloud as the scent is a bit more deep and complex and I find Cloud to be rather linear.
I also think the price is quite affordable. I'm still trying it out so I hope longevity is decent. Fingers crossed!

nuhashuna17

Idk if it’s getting discontinued but I think you can still get it super cheap-less than £20. I don’t understand the negative reviews but this smells good. Nice for everyday use.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Edit: good longevity and silage guys. I Fukin love itttt

QueenK13

For the first five minutes after application I can recognize mojito, pear and sweet orchid notes. The cushion for this whole composition consists of cedar, peony and jasmine. I think that is the note of mojito, pear and sour rhubarb that imitates that hospital-saffron from BR540. Similar direction and tune but different ingredients and execution. Baccarat is sophisticated and well-groomed, sweeter, warmer and softer.

Burberry is fruitier and more synthetic, although I like them all.

Saffron is the major contributor of the iodine, “dentist’s office” note from the classic pink bottle Agent Provocateur.

An odd, cosmic stranger in AP universe, welcome!

gtabasso

based on the notes, I expected great things; instead, I got bandaid plastic. vanilla orchid, cedar, peony but not in a rosy way, and some white musk and cashmeran; yes, it is the BR540 and AG Cloud vibe. Not a fan at all. I love or like every single AP fragrance that I own but not this one. I expected mint and tart rhubarb and ripe pear for summer. Nope. None of those. More of an ambery winter fragrance that smells like someone's sweater. It sweetens up a little in the base and drydown to be a cozy slightly fruity amber fragrance.

marie82

Very good quality for the price. Very much like the perfumes above but the dry down reminds of creed aventus. To be honest you’d never think you were wearing agent provocateur, smells a lot more expensive.

pelega

This one is mix of Baccarat and See by Chloe. At the end of the day ,it’s a cheal version of See by Chloe.I would like to like but sorry

aspirina

Another imitation of Baccarat Rouge...very synthetic and a bit masculine in the first 5 minutes, then sweet musky ambroxan, with a fruity hint of youth. I like it ok but Cloud by Ariana Grande does a better job if you want that expensive Baccarat Rouge vibe...good sillage and longevity on my skin.

Sophiii

This was a blind buy. On me it's inoffensive soft fruity floral has somewhat the baccarat rouge/ariana grande Cloud vibe but a little bit less sweet. I think it's pretty and easy to wear with no complaints from people around me. It performs well lasting for 6-8 hours with moderate sillage, good for day time spring / summer, but can be worn anytime. I don't get any cloying or a too artificial smell at all. Given the price I think it's a good purchase.

Nickie

Sadly, I'm unable to give a balanced review as I can't make it to the dry down with this. All I get is a cloud of sugar, a fleeting appearance of an unidentifiable floral, then the sugar again. And nothing else. It reminds me very much of Al Haramain's Tanasuk in that regard, which is another sugar bomb I struggle to deal with.

I'm not really sure what Agent Provocateur was trying to achieve with this one; I don't find it sultry or alluring, just overly sweet and cloying. A scrubber, sadly, and perhaps the perfume I've had to wash off in the quickest time.

Not a winner for me, but if sweet scents are your thing, you'll probably really enjoy it.

YesVeruca

I read all the reviews and bought this as a blind buy because so many people dislike it (also it was really cheap). I’m wayyyy to old to wear a scent like this-it smells cheap and flossy and fruity sweet -except I love it. It’s like my perfume alter ego. It has a big pear note that reminds me of Annick Goutal Petit Cherie when it opens. Later airy musk and a spartan kind of smell which might be why I like it so much. This is like a teenagers first perfume at the age when they’re going to the carnival to meet friends and disappear behind the rides. For me it has a place but I’m old enough to know how ironic it is that I’m wearing it. I have an Anne Taintor postcard in my closet that says “Maybe I WANT to look cheap”- this is for those times.

weegee

Well, this is an odd one. Perhaps it's the ambroxan but I'm getting LOTS and LOTS of a funky musk that I must say is on the border line between pleasant and unpleasant. Also noteworthy, I sense absolutely NONE of the fruits mentioned.

I have many, many AP fragrances and can say without hesitation that Cosmic is an anomaly in the AP universe. I love some, I like some and now... maybe I dislike one? I'm wearing Cosmic on a cool morning. Could be that it's more of a hot temps fragrance but at the moment I can't imagine this musky funk would be improved by warmer weather.

Funky musk or musky funk. Either way, this one is odd.

EDIT: Six weeks later and I've tried it again. I applied lightly to the back of both hands four hours ago, took a shower 2 hours in and that funky musk is still going strong! But this time around I'm finding it oddly appealing. If you're an AP fan who can't get enough of the little bomb bottles Cosmic is currently cheap as chips from several online sources. .

tandem_4x4

One more edit: I finally understood what is so common in Cosmic and Hermes Jardines Lagoon - it’s ambroxan. Both having heaps of it. Same about Electric by AP, Stramonio V Canto, BR540, Ariana Grande Cloud.

It started getting very cloying and headachy for me. Seems perfumers are competing these days who will add more ambroxan to the fragrance before it got crystallised.

I really don’t like ambroxan anymore

tandem_4x4

This is another no rose issue from AP. It is inoffensive, it is fruitish flowerish. But at the same time it is made on a pretty good base - no alcohol or chemical notes, given it is pretty cheap fragrance. If you put it in the Byredo bottle and call it Area 51 Dew, it would easily go as a niche.

Strangely enough I also used the cosmic theme in my joking about this perfume name. It is clean fruity flower scent, but there is a note in it which makes you thinking about something from a cold unhabitated universe.

I really like it (especially after trying AP Lace Noir - my fragrance nightmare).

I disagree with the previous review, for me it is so inoffensive that can not be strong like or dislike. But I still respect the opinion. It is though much much much less controversial than many other perfumes for the blind buy decision, especially given the price in some online shops.

PS: After wearing it from yesterday I would say I prefer Cosmic over Electric. Both actually have a very similar drydown, which resembles Hermes Un Jardin Sur La Lagun.

Also notices that all perfumes disappeared from AP UK and European sites. And Blue Silk says "limited stock". My suspicion is that they are going to stop all perfume lines :-((

evapap181977

unique and bad at the same time.i gave it to a friend who loved it!!for me its one of the worst things ive ever smell.actually i found all the new releases from AP dull and bad crafted.
