I cannot put into words how much i love this silly little bottle of perfume. I have had it for a year now, and its still almost full. When i first got it, the smell was too pungent to me, since i was used to more light and misty perfumes. But this was it! I didn't know what letting your perfumes macerate meant, and i unknowingly did it. Boy, did it get so much better. The scent became thicker, not as pungent to the nose but (dare is say, it gave off a rich smell). I have gotten so many compliments on it, have even suggested it to most and i always have it with me.
(Key note, place it directly behind or under your ear, so when someone leans in, they get the whole package. Most love it because of the vanilla notes.)

Oh I cannot express how much I love this perfume. I have the Attar... it is a WORK of ART. This beauty kicks the arse out of any designers or niches, in my opinion. I LOVE that grape-y soda sweet tuberose/jasmine fruit blend.. it reminds me of a friend in high school who would wear Dior Poison.. but this is more complex, and much better IMO. It changes as well. A little lasts all day. It never gets old. I am totally going to buy a backup, let it sit for however long and see how it ages. I bet it is more beautiful the more it ages. This was the best blind-buy ever.

Sometime you can't decide which perfume you gonna wear today or another reason is to much using of fragrances you need at least one day break and and very long topic hope you can understand the next part of story.
Sultan is the only little gem you can use that day.
If you don't understand my point that you are new thanks

TatianaChoco

Longlasting clean and clear, soft oil used just to stay comfort, nothing special. I do not smell separate notes. It is not common arabic frag, I expected stronger and deeper scent.

lanya

(oil) this smells exactly like unlit incense sticks on me specifically nag champa love spell.

Jasmin Musk ylang- ylang and i think amber are the notes i smell out of this oil. More white florar that fruity to me, i realy like it!! I thought it would smelled stronger for longer but although the longevity is good the projection is strong for 30-40’ then is tones down to a point i have to put my skin to my nose to smell it!

It’s my first oil and i really loved it.As a perfume is amazing really strong flowery fresh!

I recommend it ♥️

holocene

Smells just like my fabric softener. It doesn’t smell bad at all, but its irritating me (not physically, but the scent) for some reason. It’s like my nose smells this at first and thinks “nice” and then as I continue to smell it, that changes to “ok enough already”.

I hardly pick up any of the fruits in this at all? I’m getting a lot of sandalwood and florals more than anything. I think I’m gonna return it.

Edit: I didn’t return it, but I went back to it and I actually hate it now. I was being extremely modest before with my dislike for this. All I smell is tumble dried clothes but with something added that makes this potent and totally nauseating. It’s a very strong and very annoying to the nose. Scratch what I said about it not smelling bad — it smells awful.

Delicato e piacevole, lascia un dolce aroma di pulito sulla pelle.

Oh my, this is not what one expects from the name!

Sultan may be unisex by middle eastern standards, but it's more like 'Sultana' (femme) to western noses. Very fruity and fun. :) I would call this a mature fruity scent in that it has some depth and also a dryer sheet style of fluffy clean musk. Although I don't smell sandalwood specifically, there IS a good deal of a woody base that may remind some of men's cologne... What I smell is:

Fruity-tooty
Jasmine
Wood (the only masculine touch)
Dryer sheets

Very well blended and grown up for a fruity scent. Excellent, if not my style.

This reminds me of fresh laundry, clean cotton and stuff. It's my to-go sleep perfume, after a good shower, in the colder months (hot months are citrus-scented). It is clean, demi-sweet, no exaggerate silage, but since I use it in the evening, I like it this way. It is long lasting, though, the smell is still going strong when I wake up in the morning. I would also recommend it for office, as a safe, non offensive scent, it's very soapy and I can't imagine offending anybody with this. However, it's not mind-blowing or very interesting, but smells clean, soapy, and it's very very cheap.
PS: Horrible plastic, tacky bottle, the only downside

lemonjasmine

This review is for the oil, not the EDP.

This is a strong like! There is something about this that really reminds me of clean laundry or cotton? I was a little surprised that it's nowhere in the notes.
There is also something here that reminds me of children's cough syrup, but in an inoffensive way.

The berry, sandalwood, and musk really stand out, while the florals are more in the background.

It's a very soothing and comfortable fragrance. It smells clean. It brings to mind self-care: nestling into a freshly laundered bed on a sick day in snowy weather. I can already tell that I'll be wearing this fragrance very often, especially on cozy days this winter.

This lasts days and days on clothes, and almost a full 24 hours on skin. It has medium sillage.

Finally, the bottle is fantastic. It's well-constructed for such a cheap frag, despite being made of plastic. The cap twists off nicely. I love that it has a long glass dabber to apply the oil easily.

At $10 + free shipping from walmart's website, this is a total steal for a cozy scent!

nice sent

Good scent, nice fruity, floral oily perfume with good performance.

I have the oil. When I first applied it it was very familiar although I've not much experiences with attars and I'm still not sure from where I know a scent similar to this. Lancome Poeme is one of the relatives maybe as well as many popular fragrances from the early '90-s in Europe. Anyway, this is hot, gloriously feminine on my skin, linear but not boring because behind the punchy-fruity sweetness I can smell fresh accords (I thought it might be mint but can be the lavender or other herb as well). It's sweet, very sweet but I don't think that it's girly and teenagers would wear it the most beautifully. Greatest longevity, too.

Do not save this for the cool weather, wear this in the heat!
Warm temperatures are finally hitting us and I put this on after dinner to calm me as I get ready for bed. This fragrance oil, in the heat, is magical.
The fruit, strawberry, pineapple, and peach, melting with sandalwood and amber is........it is one of those perfume moments when a fragrance comes together.. I've worn this in the cool weather and did not get such an amazing show as I have in this 84(29) degree evening.
Spring is here. I just made a rhubarb and berry crisp. It came out of the oven and Sultan is giving that fresh dessert a lot of competition.
I am very happy with Sultan. Sweet, fruity, warm, smooth, long lasting, and utterly delicious.

description on manufacturer's website

The authoritative fragrance of musk and amber, the youthful strength of black currants and patchouli and the fresh, exciting power of citrus fruits bring together the attributes of a true Sultan. Making you feel the Authority, strength and power, making you rule amongst others like a SULTAN.

baddyboy

Liking it quite a lot!

Lively strawberry-pineapple-khoa attar. Lasts for around 6 hours or so...close to skin perfume oil. Needs more testing,,,

(Khoya is an Indian sweet made from thickened milk and often used as stuffing for sweet pastry’s etc.)

Initially very gourmand sweet along the lines of Hermes Elixir Des Merveilles.

Bobby Jean

Too sweet for me. I feel mainly the peach and the pineapple, then strawberry and finally vanilla. For the price, an ideal gift for a teenager. I'm giving it to my sister.

AliBella

Didn't get on with that one at all.
I can't smell any of the fruity notes that people mention. On my skin the initial hit is of burned coffee flavour caramel and the dry down is roasted hazelnut. I love these smells but not on me.
This perfume actually make me feel sick to my stomach so will give the bottle away.
It does last long on clothes, my scarf has to be washed so i can get rid of the smell.
I'm not a fan.

valentinocerca.amore

very goood parfum like terre hermes ,edp spray , very luxury bottled

solarikrobert

(for the oil version) The opening is too oriental for my nose, but after about an hour the oriental notes fade and the fruit stays strong. After some more hours the fruit gets into the background and the vanilla comes. This is my favourite phase of this scent and I am glad it doesnt change anymore. Definitely unisex. I dont wear it outside house as this is just too unisex, oriental and fruity at the same time, most people wouldnt understand it. I just use it occasionally at home when I am in a mood for "something a lot different"

Kira Kiralina

A very pleasant gourmet perfume.
I have the oil version.
I'm impressed since it's so affordable.

y.fang

This perfume is similarly close to noora... Which is a very pleasant smell... I love it very....

Shayezteh

Substance: The strawberry, pineapple, sandalwood, vanilla and honey.. these all notes are so prominent in this gourmand jewel that they emit sweetness through and through. Honey dipped strawberry and pineapple salad would be an apt description! The juice itself is pretty lean, kinda dilated tbh, but smells amazing.

Great projection and very good silage. Lasts for at least 8-10 hours comfortably.

Packaging: Just about average. Looks good on the shelf from distant sight. However, up and close, the look and smell spells cheap n chic, respectively.

Rating: 6/10 (Frag: 7; Bottle: 5.)

Recently I went into a little buying frenzy on Al Haramain fragrances. They're so good and affordable.

This oil is strong, so a little goes a loong way. I'm still wearing it at home because I still have not figured out the socially accepted dosage of this oil if I'm to wear it in public.

At first whiff it smells strangely of a very sweet combination of smoke and dried fruit. After two hours, it smothers down to a beautiful honey floral base which lasts a long time.

Wonder if there's a hidden honey note in it, or it's caused by a combi of floral notes like the case of Lancome Poeme.

blake.lee

I have the oil and I find it very masculine. The pineapple, peach, cinnamon, amber and sandalwood are the most prominent notes on me. The cinnamon provides both a sharpness and spice giving the composition a warm but masculine edge. Although I heard this has a strong strawberry note, I do not smell it. It's very sweet and edible in the air. I would love to cosy up to my husband if he were wearing this. In fact, I'll put some on him when he arrives home from work, lol! A feminine counterpart to this fragrance is the new Live Irresistable by Givenchy. They are brother and sister.

I do not think Sultan smells like Noora after application. Noora has a fresh, soapy undercurrent like still warm laundry. Sultan is deep and dark throughout.

icufish

Fragrantica should separate two Sultans from Al Haramain: EdP and CPO (Concentrated perfume oil). While oil is fruity and feminine, EdP is definitely masculine, fresh, very similar to El Nabil´s Musc Sultan and Al Rehab´s Sultan. I can detect vetiver, mint and cedar. Definitely for spring and summer. Nice but low sillage. 7/10

I agree that this smells similar to al haramains noora from the bottle, but for me the similarity ends quickly. Once applied to skin, this is very gormound, lots of strawberry and pineapple, but I can detect and am enjoying incense in a lot of fragrances. This cost me £7.99 from ebay in the UK. The bottle is attractive. I like the glass dip stick method of application. Another hit for me from al haramain

This as usual lasts me over 7 hours, others can smell it, so I'm happy

Nickie

It's pure joy in a bottle!

Such an uplifting fruit punch of a scent with warming sandalwood and sweet vanilla. The strawberry note is the star, but I can pick out raspberry and peach although the pineapple is sadly lost. The florals bring up the rear quietly. It's a wonderful, well-blended combination.

It's unequivocally feminine; frankly I can't imagine men carrying it off comfortably. However I reckon it'd layer very well with masculine incense and/ or smokey scents - Interlude Man springs to mind. It'd definitely be worth a try.

One sweep of the wand gives me moderate sillage and 12+ hours of wear. And it only cost £7! I'm deeply impressed with the quality of this oil and look forward to trying more from Al Haramain soon.

Very beautiful smell. Long lasting with good sillage. USD 6.00

I bought this one at the Dubai Duty Free for only 25 dirham, which is like 7$/6€!!! Beautiful lucious fragrance, that does remind me of Noora, but Noora is much softer and more powdery/soapy as where Sultan opens up with an explosion of sweetness. Strawberry well represented here. I love the dry down as the woody aspect comes to live and thw perfumes settles in nicely. Very strong sillage at first but fades after some hours.. Longevity with me is moderate but good enough for me. A bargain and a beauty!

jalhumid92

What a lovely fragrance! This to me comes off as a sweet and sensual strawberry-sandalwood with a touch of incense. The notes are all nicely blended together to create this little jewel. It is definitely characteristic of Arab attars, but definitely appealing to a Western nose as well. One of the reviewers mentioned that this smelled identical to Wisal by Ajmal(which is my signature fragrance that I wear almost daily), however the two smell nothing alike (altough both are incredible!). Rather I'd say is similar to Balkis by Al-Rehab, although Sultan is enriched with the strawberry and is nicer in my opinion.

cirmi

Divine, love it! It's very similar to Noora, but while Noora is orange-ish, it's srawberry-ish a bit. I have the CPO version of Sultan, and I really really love it. <3

A year later I tested this again and find that the beginning is quite strong fruitcholi. After a minute this is smooth on my skin unlike many other Arabic oils. The smoothness is divine earthy and long lasting. I prefer this to Al Haramain Noora - which is heavier on the patch and appears to be more incense on my skin. Noora is lovely but sultan works better on me. Extremely long lasting.

Andrew

Based on revievs I bought Sultan just 2 weeks ago.
Tried few times but I could't find any oriental sweetness I was expecting (like my favourities Amouage Gold, Jaipur or Aramis Calligraphy Rose...)
There is some sweetness but a litlle dull and just after first spray it develops into very linear and long lasting close to the skin delicate warm emanation.
Similar (almost no difference) to Ajmal Wisal. Tried both of them and couldn't find any difference.
I decided to give it to my son and he and his wife were both excited by Sultan. From now on it become their favourite fragrance.
I this way I have good excuse to try another one from Al Haramain!

pipernigrum

The most beautiful smell around the world. Rich oriental splendor closed in a small botle. It's a pity that its longevity not the best... although I love love love it!!! Majestic magic...

missan

I smell this as an interpretation of a very light fruity oud. It´s very nice.

alyaa

This is such a pretty and long lasting scent which envelops the wearer with the most amazing cloud. A friend of mine was wearing a very tiny drop behind her ears but I could smell it from the moment she came into the office. She walked around leaving an amazing perfume trail. It comes across to me as very similar to Dolce and Gabbana Femme, the old formulation, without the aldehydes. This is a concentrated oil so a tiny swipe is all you need. It starts off very very strong very sweet floral note, almost candy like and by the dry down the sandalwood and amber appear. It dries off to a powdery woody floral, almost losing some of the sweetness. The musk is very clean and present all throughout.

Shwets

A very pretty and long lasting smooth sweet patchouli scent great for the modern perfume nose. Starts off sweet and fruity and then sweet and patchouli in the dry down.
