Roses and Thyme

I love apricot in perfume. This is my current favorite apricot! It is fruity but balanced well by the floral elements and the woods in the base. Full disclosure; it lasts forever on my skin but can dive into vanilla candle territory in the very late drydown. Still smells good, though. Have a full rollerball and will get the spray when I can afford it.

venusinyourfurs

I am just simply repulsed by the apricot note unfortunately. The scent is cloyingly sweet and strongly reminds me of an expired lipstick. Or just straight up mildew. Or still-moist clothes from the dryer.

billiedenise

It's a very pretty, sweet & fruity scent but for whatever reason my skin just eats up this perfume and it doesn't last long on me unfortunately.

cloudswirl

It's sweet but it's so lovely.

It smells similar to the bubblegum amoxicillin from the doctor. This doesn't smell like bubblegum per say, but neither did the medicine. 🤷 Maybe bubblegum amoxicillin dipped peach rings......

It's hard to dislike. I've already used up my sample of it basically. *adds to cart*

ascrypt

Sweet honey, apricot, and a little bit of floral. Everything as advertised, and very lovely.

RabbetteBleu

By itself, this one is so intensely sweet and girly I struggle to find times to wear it. I started layering it with honeycomb calcite from hexennacht which cuts the sweetness and warms it up .
It's beautiful and incredible to just *smell* , but it's hard for me to utilize it day to day.

I once (accidentally) spilled this on myself and took a nap so I could be buried under the scent and the scent bears through my blanket in my newly arrived host home. I have come to one extreme realization and conclusion from this that this smells like and reminds me of that Trident Layers gum in strawberry and citrus flavor. And I stand by it.

shoujomarina

out of all my samples, i went with purchasing a bottle of this elixir! i’m sorry - i adore fruity and sugary scents, especially when they’ve got peach. smells exactly like candied peaches and apricots! i do get that cough syrupy element to it but i’m not thinking that way for now. it smells super whimsical and fairytale-like. it reminds me of something that lolita lempicka would make

Cavicchia

My chemistry amps sweet notes so unfortunately, all I could smell was a blend of very strong apricots and honey. I'm a little disappointed that the other notes didn't come through like they seemed to for others.

Roses and Thyme

After going through two samples I just ordered a full spray bottle. Perfect fruity floral for spring.

Will undoubtedly be too sweet for some people but I think this is perfect for when I'm in a particular mood. This is an excellent Apricot accord, where in the past I've run into ones that smelled too synthetic and gave me a headache. The vanilla and honey in this add beautiful depth and pushes it over the edge from something sticky candy sweet into something more sensual. I have the roller but am deeply considering the full size EDP for the summertime where I think this will really sing.

Soccergreat88

Unlike the other Alkemia I own and have tried, this is very fruity and bubblegummy.

It is very sweet and like grape-strawberry candy to me

It is enjoyable and not too sickeningly sweet

Sexy apricots. Like sensual, golden sunlight. Very sweet, but the apricot scent is unique enough to not be juvenile, and mixed with the musk and florals it's more mature.

If you like gourmand scents with an almost-sinful depth, please try this perfume out. Other reviews are commenting on its overwhelming sweetness - and I don't disagree - it's a monstrously saccharine concoction. When used sparingly, however (a daub on each wrist, for example), I feel like I've walked out of a magical fairytale. The apricot and honey just make this fragrance sing.

Aveline

Hairspray and syrupy canned fruit. Honestly without the hairspray I could've been into it, but it gives it a headache-y and somehow less gourmand quality. Reminds me of some product from my early childhood in the late 90's, one of the St. Ives scents maybe? Moderate strength for the brand.

sunsetlove

I completely agree with whimsical, it smells so much like pepto bismol. It is a sickening sweet smell. I've tried to love it so many times but it just smells identical to pepto bismol. My friends disagree but still think it is way too sweet (on both myself and them).
By no means am I shading on Alkemia, I love other scents from them and they are so so affordable! just not this one ):

whimsical_oppulence

I really wanted to love this. It was the reason why I bought a pack of samples. However, this scent is identical to pink cough syrup. It's a sort of sickening and sticky sweetness that gave me a headache as soon as I wore it. I thought perhaps I just had to get used to it and prove I'm worthy of a perfume named after Aphrodite, but alas I couldn't wear it more than a few times. I've noticed that Alkemia scents also tend to smell a bit more vintage/aged, so keep that in mind if you plan to buy this.

The scent itself is gorgeous- people saying peach rings have nailed it. The vanilla isn’t strong at all for me and I think this really helps it veer away from that cloying candy caramel vibe that I get with a lot of sweeter scents. This stays super juicy and fresh instead. Despite some of the more positive reviews I found that I just couldn’t get this perfume to last on me, it disappears after about 3 hours and it doesn’t project well at all. Wouldn’t bother repurchasing for this reason.

Wow, this one is SWEET. I like the idea of a honeyed apricot scent, but this is not the one for me. I like how it smells from the bottle, but this is one of those cases where the perfume oil format does more harm than good, I think: it's straightforwardly simple, fruity in a very syrupy way, and most of all very, very sweet - to my nose it smells more like homemade sugary peach candy than like a perfume. Which is to say delicious, but in a rather overwhelming way that's easy to get too much of, and I definitely don't want to wear it. I'm not sure where the line goes, because I was very taken with Temptation from this same brand, and that one is probably just as sweet, but this one is too much somehow. Maybe it's the lack of balance, since there's no unsweet note in sight to offer any relief from the sugary peach accord. Also, I start to smell that typical mineral drydown perfume oils often have after only a few hours, and that's a negative point as well. So for me this one is going back into my aromatherapy box; it's one of those perfume oils I enjoy sniffing now and then but won't wear as a perfume. And for that purpose my 1 ml sample will last me a lifetime!

Violetgoblin

Definitely 100% in my wheelhouse. I've been gravitating towards delicious, fruity peachy (and just fruits in general) scents since...probably 1981 when I received my first Strawberry Shortcake doll and couldn't stop sniffing. I went on to collect several.

Some of my favorites are Petite Cherie (my 20+ year signature), Rosie Jane Leila Lou, Trish 9, Montale Fruits of Musk, Bath n Body Works Country Apple and Peach Nectar, Jo Malone Pear Freesia...

This gem is so lush and fruity, delicious and ripe, sweet apricots mingled with sticky honey. A slight undertone of musk. Alkemia fragrances are very well blended and designed. Thrilled I got a full bottle of the Ultimi.

DulciusExAsperis

Very pretty, very girly, SWEET, very fruit-fruit-fruity. I want to love this, but I think I have to face the fact that as much as I love apricot and peach in scents, if they are very sweet/reminiscent of candy they're just not for me.

That's not to say this isn't well done - it's a super energetic sugary hit of giant apricot, but it reminds me more of a anime character bouncing off the walls & throwing gummy peaches into the air than the languid nature of Aphrodite. If you are looking for the scent of Haribo - this is it, for sure!

I prefer my stone fruit to be more boozy/tobaccoey/smoky OR floral/shampooey, so this one will go up for swap.

I think this would be a great option for those who really love very sweet peach, or who want to layer with something because this peach REALLY comes through!

Neckromancer

This smells like peach gummies. Mmmm. Out of the bottle it smells a little more green. On skin, it is syrupy and fresh. Wonderful peach note.

SeraRose

Bright, sweet, rather peachy apricot with a little of something tart under it. A very fresh, fruity perfume that I find easy to wear.

unigrubs

This lovely fragrance smells like fruits and love. It reminds me a lot of guava too, but I believe that's the apricot. It's really sweet and the name it was given totally fits it. It's a love scent.

Scarbie

To me this is a very sweet fragrance. I was initially interested because of the listed apricot note. This smells very peachy. To me it smells very much like an open bag of Haribo Gummy Peaches. I vaguely detect the jasmine. It is a cute fragrance but not one of my favorites. I have paired it with other perfumes such as Midnight in Paris and another Alkemia called Hex and those were great combos.

I just received a sample of this, and of course didn't wait for it to settle. Wow. Suddenly I am 32 years in the past, when a beautiful punk gave me strange, sweet green candy in an ice-skating rink. I've been searching for that scent my whole life, and that's what this smells like (to my untrained nose) . . . sort of like guava but not really. Not pineapple but almost . . . Perhaps if mint had a fruit. . .The peach (for me) is too distant or abstract and in my mind (or nose or skin or whatever) this is so green, so out of this world. . . I can't get a full bottle soon enough; maybe not for peach or apricots but definitely wonder!
