It's quite nice but reminds me of high school scents

DanielaChz

I will love this till the end of time, BUT it doesn’t last more than an hour or two on me. Burberry Goddess is its younger, sweeter, longer lasting sister :)

Saj_Shae

If anyone knows a 95%+ similar fragrance that's stronger and still available please let me know.

amberomance811

Amor Amor Smells identical to a perfume I wore my junior year of high school 2005 by Abercrombie called “Ready” the bottle was clear with a chunky clear red cap and now the only place I can find it is on eBay for $300+. I’m not sure which perfume came first but Abercrombie’s Ready isn’t even in Fragrantica’s database which is interesting. I’m surprised nobody else has mentioned the connection. I started wearing this in 2009 when I was 21 and was so grateful that I found it as Abercrombies scent had since been discontinued. I will wear this foreverrrrrrrrrr simply because it smells like the fragrance of my youth that I so adored, Abercrombie Ready, My amor.

Augustarina

I love this, especially for the first blast of fruity orange and blackcurrant! Oh the peach sneaks in there so nicely as well, making it a playful fragrance. I love the aroma I'm left with on scarves and tops after wearing it.. and it always puts me in a good mood. That little loop at the front of the sprayer - very much appreciated because it makes sure I spray it in the right direction! Very inexpensive too, wow.

Norie

I bought this as a sample so it's possible it wasn't stored well and the top notes have all but disappeared. I enjoy all of the listed notes apart from cedar (and sometimes grapefruit or bergamot). Yet I hardly pick up even the notes I dislike -if at all. I do wonder what this would smell like outside of expiration or improper storing. If I ever see it in the wild, I'll grab a bottle because it seems like it would smell divine.

For now, this is what I experience:
Musky, white/dry floral that lacks any sweetness or depth. Linear. Dirty. Harsh. How you would imagine digging into dirt and finding a bottle of perfume of primarily white florals that somehow has the essence of dirt added to the essence of musk. Yet, despite the change in composition it's still a powerhouse. I sprayed it once on each wrist and a tiny bit on the bottom of my dress to compare the drydown. I should have waited about 30min until I got in a confined space. This one projects!

Overall, it's not for me. If you offer samples or decants, please do your buyers a service and store them properly away from excessive light and temperature changes (ie don't store them in your garage or a warehouse that is not temperature controlled). Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

vowsandperfumes

I find this quite underwhelming. Sometimes I get a whiff of the florals or citrusy vanilla but as fast as it comes is turns again into a bit of a boring linear fruit punch. It is pretty, youthful and a safe blind buy, but really nothing out of the ordinary or that I'd keep in my collection.

gmanzanares

This is my favorite perfume of all time. I've been wearing this scent since I was in my early 20's and now 40's. It is a strong sweet, musky, oriental, citrus scent that is best for night time. It is long lasting. I never get tired of wearing it and there is no other perfume out there like this one. I love Cacharel and wish they would come out with more perfumes in the US.

ellie_may

Amor amor smells amazing to me. It is quite similar to Si Passione but I like this one better. On my skin lasts long, i put some yesterday and i can smell it today as well. This is pure love in a bottle

nausikaaleukolenos

I agree with Sparkleball22, this actually smells RED.
It reminds me of Gloria, sadly discontinued. Not a dupe by any mean and I think the pyramid is quite different, but it gives me the same vibe. If you miss Gloria you may love this one. I think I even like it more? I can easily see it becomes my favourite fragrance.

reneenouveau

Once upon a time, this was my go-to scent for going out on the town. Still enjoyable after all these years but it could be for nostalgia's sake.

Gisela1978

Funny how different our noses are... I don't find it generic at all. Sweet and fruity, sure, but with its own very recognizable vibe and with some layers to it. I'm a 45 melancholic woman, and I love this. Is it the most refined, elegant scent? Of course not. Is it delicious and engaging? 100 percent.

Luilind

Used to be my signature scent 15 years ago. And the smell takes me right back to the experience of going out into the nightlife for the very first time. Longevity is huge, sillage is enormous.

But - I don’t think this scent works for mature women. If you like this, try Burberry Goddess - smells like a mature version of this, but still youthful.

Sparkleball22

Hey, I’m only about 20 years late to the Amor Amor party. Better late than never.
Beautiful RED smell.
Ok, so the glass bottle is red, but I swear this is the scent of the color ruby red!!
Balanced fruity floral with sweet citrus and a blend that makes you wonder what is it?
Sweet orange and rose-vanilla candy.
It’s more than that and hard to explain! Very uplifting and addictive! I catch whiffs all day and the dry down gets sweeter.
It’s very inexpensive now for curious sniffers! I’d say it’s a safe blind buy. For me it’s a top shelf love.

Gothicat

I absolutely loved this fragrance in the early 2000s. I got rid of it years ago. I recently stumbled across it on the Nordstrom Rack website for $29.95 and it includes the lotion! If you’re looking to buy it and you’re in the US check it out! I highly recommend it and it’s a safe blind buy.

Midnight Raine

Yum! Sprayed this on 4 hours ago and I keep getting these lovely wafts of blackcurrant and fizzy citrus, almost like 7-Up. There's a hint of soapiness too, but it's subtle. The vanilla is creamy and in the background.

On first spray the soapiness was quite strong but it toned down nicely to blend with the fruit.

Definitely office friendly.

Lamark

Anybody knows a male version of this? Besides amor pour homme. I swear I sniffed this several times on random guys on the streets, but it was more masculine smell

Schondis

It's my old time favourite since 2009. Suitable for most days and kinda safe (but not in a boring way). Fruity and so more-ish👌

sweetcheex

This perfume gives me very flirty and alluring vibes, in a really youthful and fun way. I don’t see this as generic or similar to many other fragrances to be honest. I find it all in all to smell quite differently than a lot of popular scents. I was obsessed with this in middle school when it had just been released at Sephora back in 2006 or so. I felt kind of gothic and edgy wearing it.

SublimeUtopia

This is super nostalgic. Reminds me of being 17. It’s quite strong and long lasting, and just one of the fun perfumes I own.

LouD23

I was afraid to try this, since some of the other cacharel perfumes I've tried haven't worked out for me. Adore Anaïs Anaïs, it's my favourite white floral, but Lou Lou was way too sweet and strong for me, and Eden was repulsive. But eventually, due to my love for Anaïs, I gave in and tried it. I'm glad I did. Amor Amor is so pretty and nowhere near as sweet as I expected - I'm not a fan of very sweet perfumes. There is an almost aquatic note in here, does anyone else get that?
It uplifts it, making it lighter, fresher and airier than I would have ever imagined it being. The florals are the most wonderful, soft, creamy, feminine florals, and the fruit lends a smooth sweetness that isn't over bearing. I was expecting something sticky sweet and cloying from this. But instead I got something truly beautiful, and I will definitely be shelling out for a full bottle of this for spring/summer this year. For a designer scent, it's very cheap for a full bottle too, they are definitely undercharging for this.

shery k

I can’t stop to love this
Btw I can’t feel the orange or citrusy notes on it
This is my favorite scent since i was 17
Like it so much

LanaDelSlay

Ive probably used 6 bottles of this in 100ml which is wild to me but it’s such a great cute everyday scent and I can’t let go of it

hembry

I have been trying many fragrances lately and this has to be one of the loveliest perfumes I own. Probably it is because it mixes with my body chemistry, but it just makes me feel so comfortable and put together. Personally, I think it has a good performance, with moderate application, it lasts for good 6 to 8 hours on me.

chidom

I struggled with this fragrance! Struggled I tell you. But because perfume in my part of the world is such a luxury, I suffered until it was finished. I barely used to pick this up, and on the days I wore it, I would feel nauseous most of the day. It's a beautiful scent when you do the test spray on paper, but it was not for me.

s2jkbrad

My husband likes this, I'd never owned it, so it's not nostalgic to me and he bought it for me. Rosey and fruity w/ an undertone of a wood, almost pine that you can really smell, especially if you compare it to a fruitier softer perfume. Good sillage and projection at this price point. I don't think I really like it though. I haven't worn it as much as I've tested it so far and it smells like wine to me. I'm not sure why. It smells like a peppery red wine with rose and while I like to drink wine, I don't really want to smell like it. I don't get the bottle either. What's up with the wire circle? Do I need to always have the nozzle pointed that way? Why no cap? Disappointing b/c I like Dominique Ropion.

Piccolacouture

I love black currant, and I’ve been on the hunt to buy or at least test all the best black currant fragrances I can find, I blind brought this because it was so inexpensive and I wanted to love it so bad but it smells like plastic to me or a really bad hair spray. I’ll probably end up having to declutter it.

ShadMu

It’s soo cute
such a lovely uplifting scent, sweet citrusy florals but not too sweet,it gives me the feeling of high school days in a good way.

v0n

This reminds me of Cacharel's Yes I am. Anyone else? I'm aware they have different notes but smells so alike, even the dry down on my skin. Nothing groundbreaking but for a cheapie, it's impressive 😊 My bf really enjoys it on me and I love it too so I shall see myself repurchasing! I could smell this on my clothes the next day and it puts a smile on my face.

kpop_stan

This feels so comforting and familiar! I wonder if my mum or aunt or some other adult in my life was wearing this when I was younger... Amor Amor reminds me of spiced fruit punch, but leans more juicy and fresh; the spice is on the subtler side so I can see this still working in hot weather. The vanilla and rose may have been there as supporting roles but I definitely didn't catch any white florals.

It didn't enamour me enough to want to buy a bottle, but I appreciate the fun nostalgia trip!

Scents & blooms

Ultra feminine Citrus & soft florals on me! Surprised by the reviewer who wrote that this is a dupe of a Abercrombie scent?? Cacharel is a french luxury clothing & accessories brand that has existed since 1958! Amor Amor was created by much sought after parfumeurs Laurent Bruyere and Dominique Ropion, and launched in 2003 by Cacharel. It is certainly Not a dupe of anything. Staying power - moderate on me! A Summer of Love scent!

Finalyparfum

One of the loveliest fragrances I have ever worn. Two co-workers on my floor at the office have complimented me on it, and one of them even went and bought herself a flacon. It's warm and sensuous, yet there is a hint of sweetness to tone it down. It's very different from anything else I have sampled. Can't get enough of it.

toycat

one of my favorite scents, really nostalgic as this was what my mother wore 24/7 and would occasionally spray this one me if we're going to some fancy event. i like the bottle design, it is plain but the hoop thing where the spray goes out is really nice. the rose graphic is also ingrained in my mind. def would buy this again.... smells like my childhood and not in a bad way

addyyrmz

This perfume reminds me of discontinued Moschino Glamour which was one of my favorite. I smelled Amor Amor and fell in love, it smell almost exactly as moschino. My BF finds it very attractive and sexy. Is citric fresh and fruity sweet but not overwhelming, the citrus notes give it a really nice kick to it, I think you can wear this all year round, mostly at nights due its spice and woody warmness. I use to wear this on special dates.

perfumaphile

This was an overwhelming experience. I mainly got a synthetic red berries and amber scent profile. It had strong projection, but I wasn't a fan. I was expecting a better quality fragrance to be honest. Kinda disappointed. Also, I think the bottle could have been better. Usually, I'm not that picky about bottles, but it doesn't even come with a lid; it just has a wire that wraps around it.. I wonder if it evaporates quicker that way. I've purchased inexpensive perfumes in the past that were decent quality, so I know it's possible. Cacharel needs to step up their game.

KittyDeBeauvoir

Alright.
I want to know who documented that this is "generic with terrible performance"?!
Listen - don't pay attention to those haters. I can only deduce they got a stanky bottle or have a cold.
I may joke, but the gloriousness of this scent is nothing to take lightly.

An invigorating orange explosion that quickly develops into a sexy blackcurrant syrupy bomb with some rose and vanilla. Call me crazy, but I think this is absolutely perfect for every age. Every occasion? Maybe not. One too many sprays will destroy everyone in an elevator. Whatevs - take the stairs.

The slight downside is I reckon the loop that (I assume) sits in front of the sprayer just...boggles me. Why is it there? What is its purpose?

The fact this is cheap as chips and widely available cannot be stated enough! I love this. I have a 30ml bottle because I planned to exercise restraint, but I'm a fool.

People will smell you - and then want to fold you in half.
Bad for the hamstrings. Don't recommend.

Repurchase-worthy (of the "Take my money" variety).

Kitty rating: 9.5/10!

Aleauv

I got a bottle just for nostalgic reasons, back in 2004 it was really popular, and I adored it,it made me feel so hot 👄, after almost 20 yeas it feels bit different, I am glad I am much older and my nose has evolved because it doesn't make me feel hot and sexy anymore , I am much more mature , and also my sense of smell, now I feel is quite loud and synthetic, kind of screaming for attention , back in the day I was looking for validation, and it was the perfect scent for it.

The13thHour

Amor Amor is so sexy and feminine. It is a very intoxicating fragrance and draws people - especially weirdos - to you lol. For real though. This is a really good perfume!

Sailor Pluto

The body lotion doesn't smell good :I

gollumina

This keeps getting me so many compliments whenever I wear it. I find it to be very girly, sexy and happy. Not that complex but sometimes you just want to smell lovely without any fuss.

bethanypitcher

I found this completely by accident and fell completely in love, it feels so girly and sexy and fun. I often get compliments when I wear it. Nostalgic scent for sure but I wear it everyday.

suzanne_ronald

PIERCING RED-CURRANT. Evocative of cupid's arrow, this opens with a piercing burst of tart & sour fruits that together evoke red-currant, that deepens into the heart enhancing different facets of red-currant. Lily here bringing a fresh & succulent quality; apricot plumping up the fruity facets; rose bringing a velvety expansiveness; jasmine bringing near-grape and white-floral tones. This all rests on a base that continues to develop the red-currant theme. Needs a few weeks/months in dark storage after the first sprays to develop the true scent profile (before that some may get a bug-spray vibe).

Contrast to Circus Fantasy Britney Spears:
These are different, but there are similarities with a red-currant vibe. Circus Fantasy leans slightly more to raspberry and is easier to wear imho. Both have excellent performance but Amor Amor has a more piercing projection.

Contrast to Betsey Johnson Betsey Johnson:
These are different, but there are similarities with tart & sour red fruits. Betsey Johnson leans to sour cherry and brings in chocolate tones from praline. Both have excellent performance.

Contrast to So Sweet Lolita Lempicka:
These are different, but this is another red-currant scent to my nose, although it's softened by a rose-iris support. Both have excellent performance.

Overall: This won't be for everyone due to the tart & sour facets of red-currant, but it's a longtime classic red-currant scent. Thanks to r0sebud for posting about the mention in Vampire Diaries. This is the perfect scent for piercing your prey. Enjoy!

albatros

The most beautiful orange-vanilla scent ever.

tishwoodw

I bought this impulsively in a pharmacy while on holidays. I liked the intensity and girliness of it. Sharp citrus and akin to sour Haribos or other cheap sweets. My parents HATED this and begged me to throw it out.

hotbaby1

It smelled like tea on me 😶. Weird dry down. Good longevity. I decluttered.

r0sebud

here because this perfume got a shoutout in the second vampire diaries novel.

“I packed up the perfume for real this time, stopping only when I came to a certain kind that I really liked. I hesitated, holding the little box in my hand. Then, I took the red bottle out and re-sniffed it. It was a crisp, sweet fragrance. There was some kind of fruit—but not a candied or sugary fruit. I racked my brain for a scent I’d once smelled on a girl I knew in my dorm. She’d told me the name. It was like a cherry . . . but sharper. Currant, that’s what it was. And here it was in this perfume, mixed with some florals: lily of the valley and others I couldn’t identify. Whatever the blend, something about it appealed to me. Sweet—but not too sweet. I read the box, looking for the name. Amor Amor.”

Kate_the_Iris

This is the most expensive-smelling affordable perfume you can probably find. I am happy it is still in production as it is a relatively old scent, but it feels like it could be tending even today. Someone in the comments said it is a little dated - I dare to disagree. You can find similar scents among the expensive contemporary perfumes for sure. Very chic, glamorous and alluring. Would be great for a date night. I hear men really love it. Amazing price tag, you can even find it on sale (especially duty free).

I used to associate this perfume with a young crowd (used to wear it myself when I was a teen) but I can see how women in their twenties and forties can still rock it. But probably not beyond that.

tumblrlady

This perfume brings back memories of my youth. It reminds me of the good times I spent with my friends, the crazy parties, the innocent love. Even though I am happier now than ever, spraying Amor Amor takes me back to those joyful moments. It may sound crazy, but a fragrance can do wonders for the soul. Life is unpredictable, so enjoy the beautiful moments while you can.

lilacLazybones

This fragrance is very pleasant!

Unoffensive, light and very feminine.

Doesn't last very long, maybe 4 hours max on my skin.

Sillage is moderate leaning to more intimate, but lingers on clothes decently enough.

In terms of the scent itself I detect mostly citrus and vanilla... Can't really pick up any distinct florals or any of the other notes listed. It's giving orange dreamsicle.

When I smell this perfume the first thing that usually comes to mind is a good quality citrus body butter, the kind you might find at a boutique or in a classy hotel.

The price is reasonable and the bottle is very cute.

I do wish the citrus notes lasted longer and were more pronounced, otherwise I'm happy with my purchase... Not sure I'd buy it again, but I'm glad I tried it.

srhunt

this is honestly sexy and also very fun and cute . first period vibes. not much more to it

Yes Malena

Amor Amor has the currant and the vanilla, while YSL Elle is woodier and has the patchouli and pink pepper, but they share a similar vibe for me. They both start off with a pronounced sweet-and-sour juiciness, very lemony, but Amor is a more rounded sweet with the apricot and the softer vanilla, while Elle develops a surprisingly dry rose and goes spicier sweet, despite the litchi peony. There's an interplay in both fragrances, which gives them a dynamic quality. In my own mind, Amor and Elle even play off each other. ;)
I see the similarity to Moschino Glamour as well, but that one is more spicy green and aquatic and the most balanced.
They're oddly demanding, even if they're not very loud or long lasting. I love all three!!!

natasha28

at first spray it reminds me a lot of FCUK 3 perfume in the purple bottle. Slightly different, but very very similar. Silliage sits close to the skin. The citrus doesnt standout a lot, but there is a fresh sweetness, similar to a light clean caramel. Good for daytime of any season and for the office BC it sits so close to the skin.

I love the red colour if the bottle. I definitely wouldn't pay money for it. I would probably sell if gifted, just because the perfume is so weak and there are other perfumes that give me a big happy boost when smelling. I do like it though and understand why so many people like it. In my memory, the FCUK 3 has a stronger silliage and longevity and it's only $20 for 100ml. Some people have voted that it smell like JC Vivia La Juicy, I think it's only the sweet citrus note that smells similar. I would go for JC over this perfume, again because the superior longevity and silliage. Also JC has more complex notes in it. Amor Amor is MUCH more watered down. But if you like JC, but think it's too strong maybe give this a try! A few hours later it kind of smells like Jean Paul Gaultier perfume with the beige lace bodice, but less spicy. Longevity is maybe 6 hours

amid

I can't find the magic in this anymore. I don't know if it's my nose, my ph, my brain or the perfume itself. It's my "falling in love" perfume, I used to wear this 15 years ago, at the beginning of the relationship with my man. I bought a bottle recently, and I barely used it a few times. It smells the same, but without the magic :)). Maybe it was the chemistry of love who created the magic in it for me. It brings back sweet memories, for sure, but it belongs there, in the past. It's a lovely perfume, though. Bit strong, bit bitter, test before you buy.

Wreckinbelle

On me, I get The BodyShop Satsuma at first then floral Creamsicle. It's candy like, but not sickly sweet. However, for me, she doesn't last long at all. If I put it on in the morning (between 6 and 8am) I've reapplied it 3 times by 2:30pm, even on clothes. Perhaps I just become anosmic to it fairly quickly. Anyhow, very pretty scent.

venussansfurs

Strong fruity floral. A bit tart and aromatic at first before settling into a berry-forward musky cocktail. Not terribly unique but very pleasant nonetheless, and I can imagine why its popularity spawned so many flankers. Projection and longevity are above average, so for the price it's a good value (though I do wish the bottle had a cap). Ideal for February.

Hypnotic Flower

My bf's favorite on me! So bright, uplifting, flirty, fun, just makes me feel clean and pretty!

UnearthlyApothecary

I am a huge fan of the house of Cacherel because they are house that two of my favorite scents of all time belong to: LouLou and Eden. In a sea of inoffensive fruity florals that basically all smell the same Amor Amor stands out for me. It’s a little punchy. A little musky. It just smells so damn good! I would recommend this as a perfect first date perfume because it’s kind of intoxicating. it will draw someone in closer and it has just enough of a naughty animalic edge from that musky black current. Would also make a great V-day scent. I love Amor Amor and have enjoyed as many of the flankers as I could get my hands on. My favorite flanker is Elixir Passion and I still kick myself over letting it go because of course now if you can ever find a bottle it’s at an exorbitant price very far from the modest $14 I paid for it on fragnet. The silage is noticeable and it performs well, and unlike some of the flankers you can always find a bottle on the cheap

pepperysaurus

Easy to wear, inoffensive, in a classy way. A little dated by now? Maybe, but that's okay! To me, Amor Amor and Britney Spears Circus Fantasy are fraternal twins, especially in the opening and mid. If they were Spice Girls, Amor Amor would be Posh Spice, and Circus Fantasy would be Baby Spice. But, neither are fragrances that belong in the "spicy" family, so I guess my analogy isn't the best lol

nickinicole

Warmer than I anticipated after reading the notes. It's evening fruity, not daytime. I don't love it because there's something about it that reminds me of hair spray, but my husband liked it on me and find it light and pleasant.

Yussra smki

I have got many compliments over this perfume but me wearing it I didn’t feel really good it caused me headaches.
I will not buy another bottle.

LittleYsatis

That's nice, lovely, well made. I don't know why I have never tried that before. Fruity and fresh summer flowers and juicy, delicious fruits. A very relaxing smell.

gpaisley

AMOR AMOR, to my nose, is a complex sweet red, thick, powdery, spicy, and citrus scent. This may sound a bit bizarre, but the image the scent conjured up was that it reminded me of those big chewy, gummy, waxy, cinnamon "hot lips" candies you get on valentines day - mixed with sipping citrusy pink lemonade through a big swirl straw.

It's almost as though the scent has these 2 opposing sides that blend together - on one side is the gummy cinnamon "hot lips" candies that gives the sweet red powdery spicy accord, and on the other side is the burst of tart citrus that smells like pink lemonade... and the two sides blend together in a big pouffy perfume cloud. AMOR AMOR is strong upon first spritz and has a noticeable sillage! It is not for the faint of heart. That said, the scent does eventually fade after a few hours, but the initial blast makes its presence known!

Of note, AMOR AMOR reminds me very much of the Betsy Johnson perfume (the one with the large ornate hot pink cap). They both share a common accord that I find a bit cloying or screechy that can sometimes induce a headache. To be honest, I'm not sure which specific note is giving this effect.... whether it's the black currant or something entirely different? Thus, if you are sensitive to perfumes and/or prone to headaches, AMOR AMOR (and Betsy Johnson) may be a bit strong because of that one particular accord. That said, it is a very unique and iconic perfume, and worth a sniff for the unique experience and scent combination it affords.

Youlerie

A very generic yet also very pleasant fruity fragrance. Longevity is solid for me and sillage is really strong. The price is unbeatable for the performance!

I totally get your reference @vixen1995. I don't know if it's just my own mental association, but this perfume reminds me of the old days when smoking was allowed in bars and the morning after going out our clothes would smell of perfume and cigarettes. In short, the smell of the early 2000s!

swedishmilk15

Purchased this again after going through a few bottles, back when it was a new release. I'm so glad I did--this is done so well. I find it unique (at least in my collection and for my preferences!) It's sweet and easy to wear, yet also interesting. Sillage starts huge but dries down nicely--it's long-lasting. I have absolutely no regrets, especially for about $23 (AND without having to go further than my local pharmacy!)

LanaDelSlay

Get yourself a bottle of this, it's simple clean fruity for summer, but can be worn in all kinds of weather. I haven't smelled anything like this, even if it's simple, I just haven't smelled anything like Amor Amor. Some might call it boring, non exciting, I smell freshness, cuteness, happiness, and youth.

who.am.i.you

Refreshing, tart, carefree...reminds me of orange juice and jam, vanilla, and herbs. I used to wear this when I was 15-16 nearly everyday to school. I would sometimes pair it with BBW Midnight Pomegranate. Despite being sweet and fruity, there is a bright cleanliness to it as well, as well as a bit of an earthiness. Although I wore this as a teenager, repurchasing a bottle from the same year it came out, I don't have any specific memory ties to it aside from really enjoying how it smelled. I didn't just receive it as a Christmas gift, but asked for it specifically as I always tested fragrances at the mall. Turns out, I can see now, 17-ish years later, how and why I liked it. It's easy-going and could possibly be unisex (based on original formulation -- I have not smelled recent ones).

RetroPickle

How can this have so many notes and yet smell like nothing. It smells so light and boring. Almost like sweet play doh. A weak 90s version of Kenzo Amour. I was so underwhelmed. The projection and longevity = nonexistent. Also the name and bottle made me think it would smell more fruity/spicy/sweet/berry/etc/etc, any of those. Totally sucks and has the worst performance.

Flared Maple

When I want to wear something simple I usually reach for this. It smells really generic and not too exciting. The longevity and sillage are horrible, so I really wouldn’t repurchase.
I still have a tiny bit left in the bottle and honestly am just trying to use it up at this point. I feel there are much better fragrances that are fruity, simple and cute with much better preformance. For example, Red Wood by Dsquared2.

BelleMe74

I was looking for an alternative perfume gift for a friend and cane across Amor Amor, which had never tried before.I thought this is pretty , sweet and not too sickly for hotter days. This sort of reminds me of Gucci Rush , not as heavy handed but Amor Amor is much lighter and spontaneous.Whereas Gucci Rush sort if hits you in the face KAPOW...Amor Amor has that creamy fruitiness, that can also be worn before going to the gym... I'd buy it again definitely.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

NadaKimari

I found one lying around my aunt's dresser and decided to spray it, initial scent was awful citrusy alcohol meh. It dried down sweet but it just has no depth or personality to me, very generic. I saw that it's compared to Love Potion by Oriflame, honestly love potion is much better as it combines cacao and spices differently than whatever this fragrance does. Wouldn't recommend if you like to smell unique.

Aleessandra

I used to wear it on my teens, it was my signature scent, and I'm soooo glad. It's elegant and beautiful, youthful at that time, unique... it is definitely a smell of the past, it's not modern, but it will always remain as a classic in my heart ❤️

Andy224

It’s funny this perfume is called ‘Amor Amor’ when there’s NOTHING to love about it. Smells cheap/generic and watery like really bad alcohol blended with mandarine that made me nauseous. Terrible performance, too!

Mona708

This reminds me of a sweeter Nina L’Elixir. It starts out with a jumble of somewhat synthetic smelling fruit notes before turning sweet and powdery. Eventually it ends up smelling like a cross between Hawaiian Punch and shampoo. It’s nice and fairly inexpensive, especially if you see it at Nordstrom Rack or Marshall’s/ TJ Maxx, but ultimately I don’t see myself getting it. I can imagine it being a nice first scent for a middle school or high school student.

Kcbear28

Lovely fragrance. I loved and used it daily in my 20s. It’s a flirty and sexy little gem. Some people might find it too sweet and sharp but if fruity is your jam, you are likely to like it. The dry down is too die for. I finished my latest bottle a year ago but haven’t got round to repurchase. Definitely a firm like for me.

ladyofwinter

Girly scent - sweet, fruity and fun. In my opinion most suited for women in their 20s. Amazing lasting power, on clothes lasts more than 12 hours. Creates a perfect mood for winter days and is a compliment getter.

FireDragon76

I finally bought it after all these years. I was going to purchase the 100ml deo spray any way, but then the Christmas sets came out, with 100ml deo spray+30ml edt.

It's a pleasantly scent that opens fresh and settles into a creamy soft, warm and slightly spicy scent on me. Because of that z it'll be a cool weather scent for me.

Idk. if it was ever considered unique or of it was always supposed to be a crowd pleaser, that's fresh in the beginning, then cozy.

While I understand why adults who are younger than me, associate amor amor with high school or college, because of the field I'm in, I most often smell this on women over 80 y.o. They're sweet ladies, so I don't mind smelling like them.

Lost Objects

I remember this smelling deep, lush, and sugary. Reminds me of covering up what you think you might smell like after clandestine early-college sex.

Mc1995

Ok you guys, just to save you the blind buy, even though it’s inexpensive, doesn’t smell like the notes look. Maybe the reformulations are bad. But this is super generic early 2000’s freshie. No deep or sexy apricot, vanilla, tonka and Amber. Straight up pissy non descript soapy grapefruit and black currant. Very surprised Dominique Ropion had a hand in this. Now I see why some people are saying it was their high school signature. Smells marketed towards high school in 2003.

Frenchghost

I blind bought this awhile ago&its one of those perfumes i only reach for when i want a calming soothing style, therapeutic i guess? Because to me this smells like black warm tea, cranberry,a few sugar cubes&sunshine in a garden with the sunshine,i do not get florals, just reminds me of that, even though those are definitely not the notes! Its opening is more citruses orangey in a way sweet warm but the dry down&how it smells to me on my skin&chemistry, smells not to sweet its more on the mellow warm side if that makes since? So black tea&cranberry and sugar, slighty in a wooden barrel not for winter or summer, now only in my opinion its a spring time scent, lasts 4-6 hours with a few inches above a skin scent, when i want the calming effect this is therapeutic for me,but not a scent i love or grab its just okay, decent gentle~ its not heavy not to light performs lighlty and gentle tho~

pure_placeboeffect

It smells like the mix of vanilla and flowers after the rain. I'm glad this fragrance became less popular. It's a gem for its price.

taisspadotin

Nothing special here, is not bad but also isn't great, the opening smells a lot like tangerine, and it doesn't last longer
It smell so simply, I mean, it's not unique, I think I already have a perfume that smells close to this, and it aren't a dupe

Pyae Hein

Subtle, Sexy women fragrance. Love it.

MomGodess

Imagine that your husband wakes you with a cup of coffee after a loving night. And the sheets are still smelling. The kids are still sleeping, and you get a sniff of AMOR on the sheets and pillow. Outside sparkling autumn lights and you get a snip of your warm cup.
You pull a messy bun and start to paint, do creative writing, yoga or meditate.
Anticipate a wonderful active day of a young wife.

suzycurlyq

This is just beautiful! What a delicious combination! It's so soft and just lovely!

peachygal

This brings back so many memories. This was one of the first perfumes I fell in love with and I still love it to this day. It’s a sweet, easy to wear, sexy classic perfume. Must get myself another bottle

begim

Today I tried the Amor Amor first time, and had flashbacks as soon as I sprayed it on my wrist: I just realized that I used an imitation of this perfume in high school and my first year of college (ie some time between 2006 and 2010)! But now I know it was a successful imitation because the smell is almost exactly the same, lol. It's "sweet". Not sickly sweet for me, but sweet.
I really wanted to get the apricot note, but unfortunately, I couldn't get a very fruity scent on my skin. For me, Amor Amor is a spicy and sweet scent (and a teeny tiny little fruit, maybe). I loved the fragrance alone, but it took me so far back in time (and so many people were using that imitation of this perfume in those years in Turkey) that I feel like a hand stopped me from buying it. :D Maybe some other time, see you Amor Amor <3

Hnoss

I have loved so many of Ropion's creations and blind-bought a 15ml bottle of Amour Amour because he was a co-creator. Disappointed though. This juice is harsh. Sickly sweet and does not improve in any stages of the dry down. I dislike this nearly as much as I dislike Mon Guerlain.

JaneBond

Category: Citrusy, smokey, tobacco, warm, sweet.

Notes: Starts out citrusy and fresh, with a hint of vanilla and cigarette smoke. Travels into a grassy citrus that's almost alcoholic, until it settles in a soft, sweet, spicy and warm tobacco with a hint of rose and vanilla that makes me think of Black Devil's vanilla cigarettes. Oddly clean-smelling, despite its smokiness.

Vibe: Warm, elegant and a little sexy. Definitely a more mature scent, but not at ALL old-lady. No, this is a woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. Sensual and inviting; this scent is a seductress. It is femme fatale. It is 1950's noir, dry Martinis and cigars at the bar and affairs with married business-men. I imagine this is what Marilyn Monroe might've smelled like.

Sillage: 3/10. Quite intimate. I definitely wish it smelled stronger for longer than it does, and that's really my only gripe with this perfume.

Longevity: 4/10. It becomes hard to smell after a few hours unless you're up close and personal, but sometimes you catch whiffs of it even in the day after. Holds fairly well on clothes.

Wear: Night. Works all year round but ideal for fall and winter. Perfect for an intimate date night.

Overall rating: 9/10. This is by far one of my favorite scents. I've yet to try another perfume that I feel captures my energy better than this one. In the past I would have described this as a more masculine scent, but I think it is better described as mature feminine. It is powerful and commanding, but not intimidating. It is alluring and mysterious in an almost come-hither way. I love, love LOVE this perfume!

SailorV

Ah, Amor Amor, a classic of millennial youth. I never had it, but I sure knew some girls who did. It was so popular, at least where I live. The scent is so familiar to me, and the red bottle with the scribbly font and the thorny little rose is such a throwback. It really captures that edgy-but-ultimately-harmless pop punk aesthetic of the 2000s.

But enough of that, let's talk about the scent. This starts out quite sure and tart. The interplay of black currant and grapefruit in this always reminded me of cranberries. Maybe the red bottle plays a role in that, too, but it does.
I think the scent develops the best in mild to warm weather.
In the cold the citrus and currant turn into a weirdly sour gummy bear scent with rose, not terrible, but a bit flat and generic.
When it's warmer, the amber, jasmine, some woodsy note that reminds me more of sandalwood than cedar, and especially the vanilla come out to play. The scent becomes powdery, cozy even, and the blend of sweet and tart notes comes across much more natural, multilayered and playful. This is Amor Amor's true nature. Juicy, jammy fruit on a warm floriental base.
I wouldn't buy it for myself, and no, Amor Amor did not reinvent the wheel, but it's still very pleasant and recognizable from other 2000s fruity florals.

yeesa_

I get the resemblance to viva la juicy. This one is just a bit stronger. Fruity and sweet, pretty basic... its just alright I dont think id reach for this one

GUADELUPA

Very positive citruses and vanilla. I also can smell the champagne notes and slightly sweet candies. Amor Amor is sweet, but at the same time orange, tangerine and bergamot balance this sweetness and refresh the scent. Rose is at the background; it's a very young rose with dew on its leaves (or thorns). Longevity is moderate, but sillage is excellent.
The bottle is very pretty. It has no cap, but such a bright red glass with a ring looks very gorgeous. It's almost classic fragrance already. It suits for any age, like a love itself.

fall4grace

This was my scent back when i was 15 which now if i think of it is not the best scent for a 15 y/o but yet...this scent to me is pretty childish but still i think it's a smell boys will like. I honestly feel you should feel confident enough to wear this, but back then i was just super infatuated with the smell. It's something that will definitely get people's attention at a club, best to use at the night time or to special occasions.

AllyMage

I was really curious to try this. Its nice but not super original. My partner says it smells like how I smell in my neck when im not wearing perfume. 😂 I guess vanilla and sour...idk. I will wear it for summer for sure.

aqua76239

I picked up a bottle in local drugstore and immeditaely thought it smelled familiar. Its vanilla with strong opening notes and tonka bean and vanilla dry down. It smells VERY similar to Viva La Juicy. But its a nice scent so if you like one, you will likely enjoy the other
PS I hate the bottle, I think it looks very cheap and plain but its about scent for me, not the packagin

TWebb

I like this Fruity Floral - light and fresh for a summer day. Not too sweet. Mellows nicely.

Tinabill

Joyful zesty jasmine.
On me AA starts mainly with bright sweet mandarin oranges followed by clean fresh jasmine (probably sambac as I sense no indolic aspect) and it ends with a soft powdery musk/ wood combination sweetened by vanilla.
Timeless and beautiful for summer days🥰

ShaLion

I just recently picked this up & I’m kinda still trying to figure it out…
It initially opens with a very juicy, extremely sweet, ripe, black currant- more like sweet jam but very “perfumey”. This leans far more fruity and sweet than I usually go for but I thought it might be fun.
I’ve learned the hard way to spray once when first trying new fragrances- this one is definitely good with just the one- maybe two after a shower- any more than that & I think it would be too overwhelming for me. It’s a little too sweet on its own for me for the first hour or so. It’s nice- in a little kid “I want candy” kinda way but there’s not much there to break the sweetness up & I can see why some say it’s cloying and loud- just one spray keeps it on the softer side.
What I love is that after the first hour there’s a gorgeous hint of apricot on my skin. Whispers of soft rose and juicy apricots. If I could bottle just that portion and make that part hold longer it’d be perfect.
Today I layered it with Kiehl’s = I love the two together!

6/13/22
Ok. It’s been a month & I absolutely love it. I still want a stronger version of the end of this dry down so bad! Rose, apricot, tonka & musk… perfect! I want that but bigger! I also layer it (lightly) with Amazing Grace Ballet Rose or Missoni edt & WOW! If you have either try it (lightly!) and wait for the dry down! I’m currently on the prowl for a good nectarine/apricot scent (suggestions, please) and I know that’ll do well with this one, too!

jadesfragrances

the best way i can describe it is like a spicy citrus - which sounds odd on paper but it works. the rose and white florals stop it from being sickly without overshadowing the fruity notes and the vanilla rounds it off nicely in the dry-down where it becomes a delicate skin scent. longevity on skin is quite poor (maybe 3-4hrs), though i’m not overly surprised as that’s not uncommon for an EDT.

GinCatsBooks

This is a trip down memory lane alright, Amor Amor was the scent of 19 year old student me. I wore it daily and sometimes alternated with Light Blue and Daisy Dream but I always returned to wearing this simply because it smelt nice, lasted for a reasonable amount of time and is so reasonably priced.

Amor Amor only has two stages on my skin, the first being an amazingly bright, zesty symphony of grapefruit, apricots and jammy black currants. I never usually like black currant or cassis/cassia notes because they typically skew "cat-pee" like on me, in Amor Amor, the black currant and cassia are smooth and thick but not in a cloying way, the second and final stage is when the initial citruses fade after an hour, vanilla and tonka give a mild sweetness and some soft powdery nuances to the apricots and black currants which further adds to the "jammy" feeling of Amor Amor. Despite me describing Amor Amor as jammy, its not actually very cloying or sickly to my nose unless you spray it on in heavy quantities, then it loses its fresh/jammy vibe and does become nauseatingly thick. It also sort of reminds me a little bit of Sure Bright Bouquet deodorant (in a good way!!) if you're in the UK, have a sniff of that and then Amor Amor.

Longevity is excellent, still as good as I remember it being; 7hrs with a moderate silage. Its easy to spray on, perfect for daily casual wear and the price is reasonable too. I've worn it year round and it works just as well in the summer as it does in the cooler months, I'm glad I have this back in my collection again.

Nichulett

I know this has fallen out of fashion but I just really like this. It's delicious, just juicy. My boyfriend picked it for me from a random pile and I'm so happy he did. The longevity can be a bit iffy but will last on clothing.

spellbownt

it smells fresh and heavy at the same time on my skin, and to be honest and im here for it. i believe it's perfect for summer to people like me who doesnt like light scents on themselves.

it has a really good, timeless and ageless vanilla. it is fruity but doesnt smell like a cheap body spray. doesnt smell expensive but its just really good. i can understand why everybody was using this in the early early 00s.

Skinscents4Fusspots

If you want a cheap and more daytime, less evening version of amor amor then you might want to try Revlon Love is On. It smells incredibly similar to amor amor, but is just a bit less heady, so more office appropriate! Cool bottle too!

SweetMary

I got a sample of this a while ago, and tried it on today. To my huge surprise, I really do like this perfume! It's the only Cacharel I've tried that tickles my fancy; thus the huge surprise. It reminds me of something; perhaps another scent, or a good memory, I haven't been able to unlock yet why it feels so familiar. To me this scent is warm and sensual, in no way intrusive, but also rather intoxicating somehow. I find myself drawn to it, and I keep smelling my skin just to get that warm, cozy feeling inside.

I find it suitable for both day and night, office friendly (depends on how much one sprays on though), and probably also an all year long scent. Take into consideration that I'm not certain though, how it behaves in midsummer heat or midwinter cold, but hopefully I will get the chance to find out through the year :-)

I wouldn't say it's a safe blind buy, but it's definitely sample worthy to find out if it's full bottle worthy for you :-)

sim-star

Pink Lemonade with actual rose petals on a hot summer day! This is such a timeless piece. It does not smell dated and is not an overwhelming rose scent. At first, all the citrus hits you with all the yumminess, then comes the florals. Every time I wear it, I get loads of compliments. It's sexy, playful, and is a slight bit of a tease. Mine is forever in the collection.

kozeaa

She’s sexy, shes young, she’s long lasting, she’s signature scent material. She’ll take your number at a party and never call you back. She just has that je ne sais quoi. But even more that that, she’s your soulmate if you religiously wore VS Pure Seduction back in the day.

realitygreene

This smells incredibly cheap. I don't even think I would have worn it in middle school.

KylieBooFace

I bought this in a cute cafe gift set. This is pleasant but I can barely smell it. Has anyone else had this issue?

ETA: used it the past few weeks, especially in lotion form and it is a prominent scent. It is fruity, feminine, and a bit woody-spicy. Like!

BethyBee

Exceptional fruity floral...there's nothing I don't like about this one! And I'm sure I'm well past the intended market demographic. Well priced too. I can see me using this a lot this spring and summer. Reminds me of my Trussardi Donna EDT. I bought it for the black current and cassis notes. Love this one.

swedishmilk15

Sweet and sexy in a youthful way. Fruitier than what I tend to enjoy now. Vanilla, cedar, and amber keep it from lipsmacker territory and firmly in the perfume one. I wore this when it came out, went through two bottles, moved onto other things. The other reviews make me want to buy it again, and see if the flame is rekindled.

vitalibrigite

Reading through the reviews I feel embarrassed to not agree with all these people liking Amor Amor. I used this back in the 2000's like around 2009 or something. I remember this being one of the only fragrances that I genuinely cannot wear, I think it has to do with the grapefruit notes, those never go well with my skin's chemistry, it ends up becoming a very nauseating mix of hairspray with BO and sweetness.
Sad I didn't like it but there's more fish in the sea, and it helped me learn about my beef with grapefruit notes lmao.

Cristalcanal

My husband surprised me with this beautiful fragrance today. This is my third bottle and I love it. Such an amazing clean fruity sexy fragrance. No regrets!! ❤️

newgodz_

THE cool teacher perfume

Iris128

I LOVED this fragrance because it's playful, sexy, youthful, it has an amazing silage and lasts all day but i stopped wearing it because it is a favourite among the dupe wearers. It really annoyed me to smell something like my scent on so many people and so often. If you don't mind that it is a great choice for anyone who feels young and flirty!

QueenieIrenie

Fun, happy fragrance! Very clean, like fruity soap. I only ordered it when I was trying to get to free shipping on my purchase of La Belle Le Parfum, and it surpassed my expectations. Does not smell dated to me, but I might be biased because I love a lot of fragrances from '90s to early 2000s. But to me, this is a classic fruity, citrusy floral. It's something that either I or my daughter can easily wear, it's ageless.

Alexia1728

This is one of the top fragrance in my collection and it’s always my signature scent for the summer for the past few years now. I love, love ❤️ how all of the notes are blended so well. It’s definitely love at first sniff for me.
I can’t say anything negative about this perfume. It’s lovely, sophisticated, gorgeous, quietly sweet and confident.
I guess it all depends on your body chemistry, but to me, this perfume makes me feel like I’m on a pedestal and my friends tells me that they can still smell the gorgeous scent even after I left the room. This fragrance shine during the summer for me. At work, I always get complements from both genders. The men seems to be more drawn to this scent. It’s a hit 💯! Amor Amor for sure! ♥️♥️.

antfarm

One of my favorites. It has a charmingly tacky bottle design that reminds me of a temporary tattoo. It also brings to mind campy vampire movies, or teenage vampire television shows. Yeah, you might laugh, but you know you'll end up binge-watching and then maybe (or maybe not) being afraid to admit it.

I saw this years ago in Kohls, and I've loved it ever since. It smells like egg custard syrup from a snowball truck mixed with elegant citric aldehydes. It has this intriguing cheap/expensive and retro/modern thing going on--a set of interesting contradictions dancing in an eternal vampiric embrace (cheesy and melodramatic enough for you?). It is edible from the tart citrus, warm vanilla, and tasty tonka, but the powderiness from the florals and the grounding qualities of cedar reminds you that this is a perfume and not a drink. Despite its duality, it is very well-blended and a singular, distinct scent. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to wear my red velvet cross choker and spray on some Amor Amor.

jellybeantree

I’m over 40 and way out of the age group this fragrance is intended for but I really really like this fruity fragrance. It’s just a happy scent. It’s youthful but timeless in a way and I wear it because it makes me smile.

tanny_ups

My signature scent for ages! I loved this fragrance back in my early 20s. The sillage and longevity were amazing. Now I would not use it anymore but it is still a great perfume for the ones who are starting in the fragrance world

lenakles

I could see this having a huge comeback soon. This is a good one.

Spela123

One of the rare first bottles of perfume I owned when I was a teenager.
I have to admit. I didn't buy this one because I'd like the smell of it. No no. I was a big fan of Vampire Academy books at that time, kind of obsessed with them and the main character Rose Hathaway. In one of the books, she received a large box full of perfumes and the only one she liked was Cacharel Amor Amor. Since she wasn't a perfume-wearer (like I wasn't either) I got convinced, that this is the perfume I'm going to love when I'll smell it.

When I smelled it... it was a very big disappointment, BUT I still went forward with it and bought it, trying to make myself to love it (yeah, I guess I really wanted to like the way 'Rose smelled' haha). I probably wore it once or twice, always hating myself afterwards for putting it on.

I found out that I despise fragrances containing notes of red/black currant. It smells very generic-fruity to me and I really really don't like it on myself. It reminds me a lot of Armani Si Passione, which I don't like either. Not for me.

meescofet

Love it! sweet, warm, powdery. Complex scent.

sisina96rv

I had a 5 ml of this 10 years ago. Despite being too sweet I found it seductive and happy and joyful.
Today I smelled it again and it is different - anyone knows if they had changed the formula???
I definitely smelled a great deal of grapefruit - I have just checked the notes, yes, there is a grapefruit, and A TON OF IT!!! Not that I do not like the grapefruit - on the contrary. But it was not so distinctive before and for me it ruins the whole composition !!! Those prominent citruses just hide the beauty underneath, such a shame !!!

Where is my beloved old Amor Amor ??? !!!

prizcandy

So, I'm wearing my first ever perfume again and I'm so happy about it!
It's a classic, it's sweet but daytime appropriate and it just makes me feel young and sparkly.

ArtByLeia

You know how when you're not really familiar with perfumes, all of them smell the same to you? This is what this reminds me of. A really vague perfume that smells extraordinarily average. I don't like it.

Lo87

Really don't like it. Too strong and synthetic.

Lemxx

This was my highschool babe. The perfume that I bought for myself in Christmas. I usually don’t like fruity fragrances but this one is not too sweet kinda sour and deep. Smells super sexy and edgy. Also it is longlasting at least on my skin. Smells like red!!

moon-lake-nymph

This was one of the first perfumes I owned, and maybe the first perfume I really loved.
I distinctly remember thinking to myself "This smells like passion!" when I first started using this in my late teens. It felt very special to me for that reason. It had a lustful, sexy, new and exciting feeling to it, and I always loved how it dried down to a pretty powdery smell after a whille.

I was gifted another bottle of this around 15 years later, and I was expecting to feel the same about it, but I really don't.
I'm unsure if it's my changed body chemistry, any changes made to the perfume itself, or simply just me getting older, or a combination, but it doesn't carry the same magic, and I guess that's how it's supposed to be.

It still smells nice, but it just smells much more generically fruity than anything even resembling "sexy" to me now. It smells kind of cheap even, (which, thankfully, for my young teen self, it was!) However, I will be keeping my bottle purely for the sake of nostalgia.

duckiescents

I don't know what took me so long to write a review of this. The first time I seen this perfume was an ad in the November 2003 issue of Seventeen Magazine with Jessica Biel on the cover when I was 12, and I was first able to smell it then, but I never got a full bottle until later on. This is one of those perfumes that I seen ad's for a lot back then. I really like this perfume for what it is. This is teenage in the early 2000's smell to me. I think Cacharel the brand as a whole is underrated. I really like their perfumes. What I get the most from Amor Amor is black current mixed with vanilla, giving off this teenage love affair vibe, with a slight rocky edge. I think of Avril Lavigne with this perfume. I think Amor Amor is a perfect perfume for starting out in fragrance. It's not too complex. I just really like this perfume.

Lexdubbss

I have had this perfume since high school. It isn’t one I crave or reach for often, but I do really enjoy the scent. I think it is quite sexy and really feels like the color red if that makes any sense (not just because of the bottle). Very warm scent great for holidays. I tend to get extremely bored of scents and this is one I like to keep around. I think it is actually beautifully blended, at least the old version.

Rosita61

I just picked up a 30ml at Shoppers Drug Mart’s $19.99 section.

A third one from this brand ( I’m currently waiting to receive my 4th, Lou Lou), I’d say it’s a surprise fav. What attracted me to Cacharel were its gourmoundy vibes with Yes I Am and Yes I Am Fabulous, which honestly are only OK ( and I hate the bottles…. Like whaaaaaaa? Whhyyyyy!?!?)

But I’m definitely feeling this one with its citrus fresh notes. Plus The bottle is super 😻adorable😻 bc the size and color.

For me, what i get is a pomegranate sweet freshness throughout, even though I know that pomegranate isn’t in the notes listed. Don’t hate, don’t come for me, don’t @me— that is what I get.
I’m actually shocked to see all the floral notes too, as I don’t get any of those.

Longevity (4ish hrs tops) and sillgage aren’t spectacular, but at the same time the fragrance is such a refreshing vibe that it invigorates me every time I spray it. I don’t care that it doesn’t go a long way.

Noelustra23

One of the first perfumes I've ever had, it's very feminine and kinda seductive. I remember using it in my late teens and feeling sexy and cool, that hasn't changed and I still feel that way while I have it on. To me it smells more flowery than fruity and that's why I like it, but I guess it depends on the skin.

Amethista

Such a timeless classic. It's fruity sweet, but not too much, and very warm. Works very well on colder days. Well-blended perfume with not that much distinguishable notes.

I wish I had tried this sooner - This is so nice! This took me by surprise, because it smells a lot deeper/warmer on my skin. While I do find it to be syrupy and sweet (thanks to the Black Currant), the fruity notes are definitely balanced nicely with the Rose. I test sprayed and while the first application was light, it's gotten stronger the longer it's been on my skin. I ordered a 100ml tester - Definitely repurchase worthy!

edit: The more I smell my arm, the more familiar this fragrance is to me....I guess I've been around someone who wore this!

Marypatys

My favorite one

cantnameacat

Teenage shy love, gourmandises, chemical raspberry and rose, syrupy sweet. Unfolds into a creamy vanilla and sandalwood, truly what the color red would smell like.

AndraLau

Such a lovely perfume, I used to wear it like 8 years ago and today I smelled on some cute girl that had it on her and it just made me so nostalgic because it brought a lot of precious memories. The opening is very citrus, a lot of orange and black currant, then it stars settling into a more sweet floral scent lots of rose and jasmine, to finally dry down to a more sweet musky amber fragrance. is very happy and definitely a people pleaser I would not say it last a long time because at least on me this one die after 4 hour max. if you want a safe girly floral perfume u should get it, is not complicated at all and its very pretty. I am thinking now in getting it again just for the nostalgia.

Chanelette

I was just starting first year of college when this lovely scent came out so to me it smells of so many wonderful things: new friendships, shy smiles in the hallway, really bad coffee in the study lounge I was strangely addicted to, low rise jeans, small movie theatres, Radiohead and Death Cab for Cutie songs, old books and great conversations, picnics, clubbing and dance.
On my skin, it starts off as a burst of orange, apricot and berries on a warm, slughtly spicy base. Then it kinda mellows into a lighter fruity vanilla. But the best part is the drydown. Delicious vanila-tonka loveliness with a touch of smooth woods and just a hint of fruit to make it feel cozy, warm and fresh at the same time.
I remember it being a touch stronger and darker but the current version is stil quite nice. Very versatile, timeless and feminine.

Aiga1

Strong sweet scent, but not gourmand, I'd say like a bitchy, synthetic sweet. Used to rock it back in highschool circa 2009, still love it more than 10 years later.

Celestya

It is a warm floral/fruity fragrance. I can smell black currant, vanilla with a touch of orange. More fo cold day to my opinion. I cannot wear it during hot days (summer), little too bold.

Feodorica

I had it in 2003, and now in my 40s I wanted some nostalgie. I had first love with this scent and first relationship. All men around me liked it and always said compliments, It's fresh and sweet and fruity-flowery, my bf smelled a lot of citrus and vanille.
It's not complicated, but well done. I wish I collected all the flankers when they were on sale, ah)

chromatica

As a teenager, I used to wear its flanker, Forbidden Kiss, quite a lot, so one day I decided to grab a bottle of the original Amor Amor while roaming Duty Free, waiting for my next flight. I guess both my nose and mind were equally confused after the previous one, it being transatlantic, since I have no other explanation for this purchase - I normally can't stand black currant (Amouage Imitation for women being the only exception now) and it's so prominent here! I tried wearing it, but it would always end up annoying me.

Sorry Amor Amor lovers, but it just seemed so cloying to me! Vanilla really overpowers the whole thing for my nose. And then there comes the urinal note of black currant mixed with musk. I see that people generally enjoy this frag, so I wonder what's wrong with me. It's been five years now and the fragrance only seems worse to me. Gave it away to mum but still can hardly stand it even in a sillage form. Speaking of this, I'd describe sillage as moderate to strong and longevity being the same as well. And yeah, it's totally suffocating at high temperatures.

cemeteryfairy

on me the juicy opening smells just like lucky you by Liz Claiborne. It’s a creamy citrus and floral scent with a strong fruity undertone probably from the currant. I wore it to work and it lasted all day, longevity is really good but unfortunately it gave me a headache. I work up the next morning and got into the shower and kept smelling the most delicious smell like milky vanilla plastic doll head? I don’t know what they put in the dry down but I can only smell it when I get into the shower after wearing it but I love it. It’s funny how the best part of a fragrance can be washing it off.

Masha_latte

I love this for the summer. I never expected that I would, but I do. Surprisingly enough, it also stays on my skin and I can smell it throughout the day, so sillage is also unexpectedly great.
It's a sweet, flowery and cheerful scent, very affordable and quite special. A big thumbs up from me!

sugaryrose

Such a sexy juicy sour-sweet smell! So addictive. Simple, yet very unique. It's not generic. Perfect for summer. Projects far away when you spray it but sadly, not very longlasting. You have to reapply a few more times if you want to smell good all day.

RainbowGirl

I wanted to give a better review of this perfume. For my first review, this perfume wasn't what I expected, and my review was more about my journey experiencing it, rather than the actual notes, which I didn't really smell the first time I wore this.

One of my favorite fragrance scents is black currant, and that was what I expected from this deep red bottle. However, the black currant is subtle, and sweet, rather than sour. In fact, this perfume is perplexing, in that it is both subtle... and it projects. It lasts on my clothes for days, and I smell it around me as I wear it, but it is not an easy fragrance to detect up close, nose to skin.

This perplexity, is what fascinates me about this perfume, but more than that, I honestly just really enjoy the beautiful light aura of sweetness it creates around me as I wear it.

The initial spay, I get grapefruit and sweet orange. Not sharp. This is a sweet citrus. At this stage, I can smell it nose to skin, and it is addictive. I find that scent to be unique. Most citrus openings are sharp and sour, and although I love those scents, I love this unusual sweet change of pace.

When the sweet citrus wears off, I get this hint of black currant. Again, a sweet black currant, not sour. Mixed with a light floral, almost lotion, type of scent. This light sugary black currant floral scent is what surrounds me as I move throughout my day. Makes me feel like I naturally just smell like a beautiful sugar fairy.

I love wearing this fragrance.

puremugetto

This is the only perfume that i directly gave away. So curious because i remember i had enjoyed it on someone else.
It is too much of everything i can say. It is not the number of notes it consists of. I have enjoyed much more complex perfumes. It is the lack of allignment and compatibility in the notes. They disappoint each other as the time passes.

I think there are many more original compositions out there. Though it sells a lot i don't think it is a crowd pleaser or a safer choice.
Try first.

Sunkissed

One of my favourite perfumes back in the day when I was a teenager. I cannot remember how I got my hands on it, but I probably received it from my mom. She always grew tired of her perfumes and then gifted them to me lol.

Anyway... it is VERY SWEET. Probably one of the sweetest perfumes I've ever worn and current me hates anything too sweet. In fact Amor Amor is almost everything adult me dislikes in a perfume: very berry, very sweet, very loud! But I can't say I hate it because it brings me some good memories.
I always see it compared to Moschino Glamour, but I don't think they're that similar. Both are very sweet, but I owned Glamour and it was more complex and interesting.

If you're a fan of berries and sweet perfumes, give it a try. It's inexpensive and extremely long lasting!

lhm

WOW. I like :) I'm in my 40s and I love wearing it. I believe this is for all ages. Yes, it smells similar to VIVA LA JUICY, which I own too. For me, this perfume is like happiness in a bottle. Be happy ladies :)

SPUKIKI

Love this fragance, i do thing the weather affect this one pretty much, i live in the caribbean were its always hot, and this perfume is SWEET like the first thing in the list for me would be a citric sweet lovely scent, and im here for it. Pretty intense so 2 sprays are good to go. SO Im guessing maybe in winter its more floral type, or in a place not as hot as where i live.

RainbowGirl

I cannot smell much of anything. I bought a gift box with a tiny 30 ml, and two tiny body lotions, for super cheap. I thought this was supposed to be a strong sweet fruity smell....but I just get a tiny hint of floral. I didn't even get the fruits at the beginning. Just alcohol...then a hint of floral. Did I maybe get an old bottle? Should I try again?

Edited to add: I sprayed a ton all over me, in my hair and on my clothes, and I am now getting a very plesant sour candy smell all around me, but when I put my nose to my skin to get a good sniff...just that light sweet floral scent again. Maybe I need to try this scent without the accompanied lotion next time...

Edited again to add: I took my dog for a walk and was complimented by a gentleman on how nice I smelled. This perfume started off light, but as I wore it, it began to release a clean sugared berry scent, slightly floral, that followed me around for a few hours. Completely beautiful, and unlike any perfume I have ever purchased. I plan to order a large bottle.

lagavulinx

From the magazine sample. It smells like I walked into a bowling alley or old 70s holiday inn w the cigarette smoke in the carpet & fabrics. Its neat!! love & miss all of the 70s smells. it must be the Virginia cedar w that sharp old familiar 70s smell. im gonna need to smell the actual purfume

Szafirowy czar

This is a beautiful evening scent

Angelicax1

God I love this fragrance. I just got a big bottle in a swap and I’m so happy because I finished off my old bottle a couple years ago. I started wearing it many years ago after a bad breakup because my old perfume reminded me too much of my ex but now this one gives me so many bad memories of the breakup and how heartbroken I was. I can’t help but still love the scent, even though just smelling it makes me uneasy. It’s so beautiful though... Fruity, musky, spicy, a little flirty yet romantic. It smells unique compared to other fruity florals. Not as jammy sweet and syrupy as others in its class, but more nuanced. It has something a bit sharp and effervescent in the opening and retains its nose tickling quality as it dries down, but becomes warmer and deeper. Its just lovely... and so affordable too! I definitely won’t let a guy stop me from loving this scent and continuing to wear it and repurchasing it in the future. :)

RoseBalm

This is one of the first perfumes I bought as a (young) adult and I sprayed it today for good luck. I still love it even though it’s perhaps not the most sophisticated. Sweet and soft and pretty

beekasam

I wanted to like it because it was a present from somebody I really like and I know they purchased it with all their good intentions.
I sprayed it and it makes me really nauseous.
Unfortunately I will have to give it away, just thinking about it makes me sick 🤢

gpaisley

AMOR AMOR is a beautiful perfume that reminds me a lot of ARI by Ariana Grande.
AMOR AMOR also reminds a bit of YES I AM by Cacharel and it also is a bit reminiscent of VIVA LA JUICY.

Chr_23

This is a scent with a great sentimental value to me, so it will always have a place on my vanity. I wish I could bottle up the strong sweet-tart opening and have it be a separate bold perfume. There is no dry down for me, only an hour or two of a ghost skin scent reminding me of the first blast that excited me so much when I got it as a gift 13 years ago.

kandykiller

For me the FB'S i went thru...like 2,I enjoy this its different, it has this warm black tea scent to it...along with red wine....and fruit blended so well its like a warm boozy romantic sweet~ so its. more of something for valentine's day warm chocolate cherry in your mouth siping on red wine, candles& prayers to make it another day what can I say.....something comforting about this& warm sweet mellow romantic 💕 strong black tea note....lasts about 3-6 hrs~

hardyn

To me this smells like a deodorant. To the nose , it smells cheap and nasty. A definite miss for me

eloisebear

I have the same exact thoughts with grapefruit352 on this one. Initially i only get the alcohol and then the sweet musky spicy vanilla comes in. Couldn't smell the florals either. It's a warm scent so this could be good for winter

Nancy83

A fruitish sweetened rose scent. The performance is excellent, like most Cacharel I've tried. The price is good, often at discount too. I like it, I sniffed myself a lot, but since I'm not the greatest rose lover, I need more time to think about it. I wrist test when it was at discount, I will probably retest it again one day. It's sad the apple cinnamon caramel flanker Amor Amor In A Flash is not easily available to try anymore, I was more interested in this one, especially in this christmas season.

frangiris

Amor Amor is quite like Miracle, I find. The smell is floral, and slightly fruity.

Alice611

This is a beautiful perfume it has lovely fruity top notes at a first spray you get a nice hit of grapefruit but not overtly citrusy it’s still got warmth to it . This to me is a young women’s fragrance,it can be worn spring summer or even winter and would make a perfect date night fragrance as its not overly sexy and doesn’t come across too serious. Such great value and lasts pretty well too !!

Fraghag7

This is my husband's favorite perfume on me and I own a lot of designer fragrances. To my nose this actually smells like a beachy/summer perfume. It smells like flowers, coconut, vanilla and a splash of sunscreen! I've purchased this fragrance several times over the course of (over) a decade and it consistently smells the same, I don't think there has been any reformulation. I thoroughly enjoy this perfume and it does smell youthful, fun and fresh. To me it smells neither expensive, nor cheap and it is a long lasting fragrance, I usually don't need to reapply. This and D&G light blue are my signature summer fragrances; they have similar vibes to me and a similar smell except this is more tropical and D&G is more citrus.

AnotherDabbler

I bought this accidentally after I tried and loved one of its flankers and unfortunately I've since found that I like all the flankers better than the original one. This one has a weird scratchy, flat and soapy quality to its rosy floral notes that reads as cheap and synthetic to me and the more I try to get used to it the more annoying it gets.
Other than that, it's mostly juicy, syrupy oranges that can seem a bit infantile but also cheerful and energetic, and a nice fruity fall scent that's very sweet but not in an overly cloying way.

Erica.Cass

Sweet, sexy, wet, juicy! Love it. Husband says it's one of his favorites that I wear. Great price for this beautiful perfume!

Pat_Chouli

I think this may be my all-time favorite fragrance. There is something mysterious and magical about it, and it's probably partly because this was the first perfume I ever fell in love with at the perfume counter and bought for myself, back when I was barely a teenager. I recently repurchased this decades later. To me the scent perfectly embodies the romantic name, sexy marketing, and edgy yet minimalist bottle. It's sweet in a fresh squeezed orange fruit punch way rather than a cloying, sugary candy way. I'm not a gourmand lover and to me this isn't one. There's also a soft warm spice that adds interest and sex appeal to the fruitiness. Otherwise, I find this scent hard to describe as it's unlike any other fragrance I've encountered. One spray lasts about 4-5 hours on me and I catch whiffs of it an arm's length away.

mldaleali28

I’m sorry Amor’s lovers, I apologise in advance for my review: I truly hate this one. I hated it in my youth, tried again recently, thinking that maybe my taste changed and I might like it. Nope, still the same heavy sickly syrupy sweet frag that I remember. For me this perfume smells like a very loud, obnoxious and over dressed woman that tries hard to be young and sexy.
On the plus side (or minus in my case), this one has a demential sillage and longevity.

Tulpan

This is a very fruity and sweet fragrance. It starts off loud with sweet citruses with a couple of sprays being enough to avoid it being cloying. It then gradually changes to what I can describe as a “soapy fruity” scent on me, which is very pleasant. The rose note is there in the background throughout, without ever being the focal point.
After about half an hour, the soapiness and the citrus fade away, to reveal a gorgeous drydown. It’s a warm spicy fruity vanilla, perfect for colder weather good for both daytime and nighttime.
I feel like it is better suited for younger women, although this is not a teenage scent, as there is complexity. I would also describe it as an enticing scent, deserving of the name amor amor.

Kiti89

This was the first "proper" perfume I ever bought myself and my gosh what a good choice that was! It's been in my collection for about 10 years now and I've probably repurchased as many bottles. For a good time it was my only real perfume too.

I love the spicy tanginess of it mixed with its sweetness. It projects really strongly for the first 1-2 hours and is a sure compliment getter while it's projecting.

I've put a few people on to this scent and it is now my mum's fave too. So I'd say it's ageless as I've been wearing it since my early 20s up until now at the age of nearly 31, and my mum has owned a bottle for a good few years and she turns 66 soon.

Once it settles it lasts an age, I have a scarf in my wardrobe that still smells like this from last winter. It smells like I just sprayed it.

I used to wear it for all occasions but tried to reserve it for night time as I think it's more appropriate then.

I recently realised my perfume collection wasn't that versatile so currently I'm adding to it but no matter how large my collection gets, I think I can guarantee this will always be a part of it. Especially for the price! And so far, I haven't smelled anything like it. So in my eyes, it wins for performance, value and uniqueness.

danygurl06

This was my signature scent in high school. It’s very juicy and sweet. This is a very distinct smell. I loved it back then. It lasted all day and you only need a couple sprays. Literally people could still smell this on me after a entire school day.

My only problem is that sometimes during warm months, the dry down had a slightly odd smell. To me it smelled like worm panties after a long day...after sweating. Just a hint of it. Nobody else could detect that smell, but I could. I really could only smell that right before it turned into a complete skin scent. That was my only qualm.

It’s a really pretty fragrance, but I don’t think I’d go back to wearing it. This plus Victoria’s Secret Love Spell just remind me too much of high school.

Rozalina

I’m wearing Amor Amor today because I’m visiting my mom, who recently ordered a bottle as it was one of her signature scents when she was in her 30s, and she was missing it.

I’ve been sniffing my wrist, trying to place it because it smells so familiar to something I’ve recently acquired and a-ha! It smells a little bit like Britney Spears’ Hidden Fantasy in the opening with all the zesty citrus, and then transforms to smell identical to Circus Fantasy: sweet, synthetic, musky berries. I would argue that Amor Amor is a tiny bit less candy-sweet.

It’s like Amor Amor is the original Gen X creation and Circus Fantasy is my Millennial version.

I can’t say that either perfume has great lasting power but Amor Amor wins this round.

Passionflower

I tried this and it's too much of a candy smell to me. Maybe very suitable for young women, but not bold enough for me. Too average.

Vestfjord

This was my signature scent when I was 16-18, and boy I loved it to pieces. I still do, but it feels like it belongs to a younger me and it doesn’t “fit” anymore if that makes sense.

It´s a bomb, and sexy one. It is one of those scents that is easily recognizable, nothing else smells like Amor Amor. Long lasting and with a heavy trail. Do not overspray, people will flee from your presence.

Amor Amor is juicy and tart, with a sweetened rose that stays with you all the way until the vanilla drydown. It´s happy and fun like a party cocktail, but also seductive and warm. Love!

Funny thing is that it´s a good one in combination with cigarette smoke. My best friend smoked back then, and also wore Amor Amor – and it was a nice combo on her. I find many perfumes with citrus going sour and dish watery with cigarette smoke, but this one doesn´t! I don´t recommend picking up a smoking habit just to try it though…

grapefruit352

Little transparent red bottle is nice although, but once you spray it.. magic finishes.
First notes are just alcohol in the nose, at second, comes some fruity notes. The perfume is not flowery- not much any flowers here.
It reminds to me Parfums Café Café Intenso. I would say they are incredibly alike.
But Café Café is better and cheaper version of the same idea.

alexandradaos

This is interesting. At first spray, the citrus and berries kick in, but only for a moment. Then it turns into something I can't really describe (or like, for that matter): it's suffocating, it smells like the humid inside of a cheap club, it makes me picture red curtains. This doesn't last long either (maybe half an hour), then it dries down to this soft, feminine scent, very pleasant, modern and likeable.

A word of warning: do not, I repeat, DO NOT try this on hot weather. It's going to be a nasty experience. I wouldn't sample this indoors either. Amor Amor is best experienced on cold, rainy days, crisp mornings or cloudy afternoons. Goes like a dream on a chilly winter day - smells somehow like Christmas.

I made the mistake of trying this the 1st time on a warm-ish summer day, and I hated this so much I wanted to bin it straight away. I gave it another chance on a calm, rainy day, while visiting a castle, wearing a black fluffy sweater. This was an instant love. The warmest hug. The most perfect red.

Longevity is decent, I can smell it on my clothes for days, my skin eats it in 3-4 hours. Sits close to skin, which is a definite advantage for this one - if this was a siage bomb, it'd certainly kill someone.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

This is literally Circus Fantasy & Hidden Fantasy in one. It's a orange citrus, pink lemonade candy gourmand fragrance. It's not an exact dupe of those two but you can smell the dna of both those fragrances in this and so it's in the same scent family of fragrances and you can get this and have both of those or vise versa and just have this to save money. I have an original older version as I don't know if this is reformulated now but I would get this as they have drastically reformulated the britney spears line and it's great to know you can smell the original formulation's in this fragrance.

Peeka

Lovely fruity/sweet floral fragrance but a bit too intense for my liking, especially with how I like to apply perfume.

If you have a vintage bottle, use with a very light hand if you are easily nauseated by strong fragrances. I read from other users that this may have been toned down since so please test first. I wouldn’t say it’s a safe blind buy for this reason.

kateclarkecosmetics

Sweet rosy vanilla on me. Maybe a hint of pepper. No jasmine. Not too heavy on the musk. A reliable summer scent for when the humidity kicks in. Meeting your friends at a cafe kind of fragrance.

valevaleria

I used to hate it, because I found it too heavy, currently I got a new sample as a gift and I do not know if it has been reformulated or my taste in perfumes is changing, but I find it so sexy now. Fruity and sweet.

Jenna0310

I was wearing this all day and thinking it smelled so familiar! I finally figured it out....... Da ta da it's ---LUCKY YOU bu Lucky brand!
Smells exactly the same.

dezie_pinx

Love this affordable scent. I had a magazine ad with this when I was a teen and just bought it recently. I wore this in Paris & through my month long vacation in Europe. Very young scent but mysterious and sexy as ever. Delicious & my fiancé is obsessed with this scent when I wear it. I think he thinks it is just how my body smells haha there is a gorgeous aura to this smell and it is aromatic & captivating

Burgundy Jayde

WOW! Seduction in a bottle. omg this fragrance is deliciously BEWITCHING🖤 …This fragrance exceeded my expectations. I just got this in a mini gift set off of EBAY. I love it just as the word amor implies = LOVE Cacharel has some awesome fragrances especially NOA it is one of my favorites. Amor Amor is no exception it is intoxicating. Sweet but in an alluring, in a magical balmy way. Not cloying at all. The FRAGRANT jasmine Malati flower smells exotic and gorgeous! This is my first time smelling it. I love flowers! Not at all overpowering or pungent, it’s just right. It’s a little soapy and creamy, which I love! I do not smell much vanilla at first in this but that’s ok the 🌸Malati flower is what is supposed to shine through in this divine scent. I do , however, smell the blood orange strong and the warmth of the sandalwood . ...with a a tad lily of the valley which gives it innocence. . And the candy apple red grenade style red bottle is very alluring just like this scent. I need to get the biggest bottle I can find of this 🔮magical potion. It is a very exciting scent to me. Not offensive at all when used in moderation. Sillage' is moderate and this scent LASTS! This is a nighttime scent anytime of the year ...One of my favorites so far I'm so happy I found this.... If you are reading this have a magical day and don't get blown away by the solar wind out side 😚

update 03-22-2021 wow i can really smell the vanilla in this today. delicious

geelightning

oh no the drydown ruined it. it was good until all i could smell was a citrus-scented detergent

Midnight cat

I had it reminds me of school years.
Brings me nice memories
It’s a very well balanced rose citrus scent
Very pleasant ! I might buy it again because every other current
citrus floral is too sweet.

JSpines

This is really nice and I really like it! It's light, fresh and not overpowering in the least bit. I can smell the vanilla note and it's alluring and delicious! There is something very innocent and youthful about this perfume. If there is one criticism I have it's that I don't care for the bottle. The crazy metal thing on the neck of the bottle is annoying and unnecessary. A practical, regular cap would have been much better in my opinion. It's not enough to deter me from the fragrance but whoever designed the bottle should have done a better job.

bel.gravia

I've been craving Amor Amor for ages, and now I finally got it! The perfume of love. Yes, I agree. Amor Amor is a flirty fruity floral, opens with bright citrusy notes of which the most prominent is sweet, juicy orange. The top notes capture the sudden sparkling, an irresistable attraction of the first love. As some time passess, the fragrance turns its romantic, creamy rosy side and shines with jasmine, lily and a lot of black currant which is the stage of the first kiss, I assume. It's very pleasant, so well composed- fresh and sexy. Then comes the warm and passionate drydown of vanilla, amber, tonka bean with the presense of black currant. That resembles the feeling that you have finally found the one. At least that is my interpretation of the notes. Anyways, Cacharel absolutely managed to create a joyful, youthful, seducing scent.. It's timeless just like love itself.

Marteta

Great scent, I have been wearing it for 20 years, that is since it was released.
A lot of memories associated to this.
BUT, longevity is super poor now. I guess it has been reformulated and now I can only smell it for 20 minutes max!

hellogoddag

Iconic woman's fragrance
Attention getter!

Very mouthwatering, guess it's the blackcurrant.

I can't decide if it's mostly romantic or just sexy to me. But it definitely effects me somehow in that direction.

mintycharm

I’ve collected perfumes since I was a little kid but this is the one that made me really fall in love with perfume. It was 2003 and little 13 year old me (I’m really dating myself here lol) smelled this beauty in an issue of Cosmo... love at first sniff. I clipped the picture of the kiss out to put in a collage, and it was lost to the ages.

Then recently as I was browsing some perfume deals I found this beauty again and immediately had to snag a full bottle. I didn’t even remember how it smelled, I just remembered how I felt when I discovered it and that was enough to make me get it. I’m so glad I did.

First impressions - as some others have said, it’s a very busy scent. I feel like on first spritz the top and middle notes come out all at once and it can be overwhelming because instinct tells you to find one thing to latch onto and make sense of. I like to think of it as an orchestra warming up in the pit before the real music begins. Then, as soon as it dries down, it eases into a mildly powdery mashup of flowers and citrus; sharp yet tender... I know this is not the most appealing of metaphors but I can only compare it to a sneeze: the tingle in the center of your nose, an explosive reaction and then pure relief. I don’t mean it in an unpleasant way, but that’s as PG as I can put it.

My only wish is that there was a EDP of this fragrance, because I would love it to have a more powerful sillage and be longer lasting. If I could bathe in it, I would. I see a lot of other reviews saying that it is kind of an immature scent. That may be true but I personally get a lot of complexity from this one and it really does remind me of Amor.

Migalex

This fragrance smells lovely. It smells of fresh juicy sweet oranges the way other fragrances with orange note do not manage too. I also love the scent of blackcurrant, which sweetens the orange and makes it even nicer, but the orange note to me is the dominant one. It is not a strong fragrance, but it is not too weak either, and it does have some projection. It does have a bubblegum edge, but that is fine to me. Overall, I find the scent absolutely lovely.

disintigratedwoman

I think this is the perfume that started my whole obsession with fragrance. Smelled it on a friend I greatly admired at a dance in elementary school.. and I was in shock at how nice it smelled. Like spiced orange with a warm amber/vanilla base. Very sexy and warm.

I finally got my hands on this perfume several years later, and wore it through my early teenage years.. but today I find that it no longer suits my personality - too loud, too sweet for my tastes. I think it’s probably better suited to women 25 and under who like gourmand scents. But that’s just my opinion - everyone wears perfume differently. I’m glad I came across this one though, and I’ll always associate it with my coming of age.

Vivavoice

Love comes in infinite ways. I first came across this fragrance in 2012 when I gave some money to a guy on the street who was asking. He was so appreciative he (for some unknown reason) was holding a large bottle of Cacharel which he gave me. I had less appreciation for fragrance than I do now but enjoyed its bright optimistic fruity sweetness.

Come to 2019, just a week ago I see a 50ml on ebay for just over 10 pounds. I also noticed the price of this is high due to rarity I guess, so I pounced and now see what a gloriously complex and energetic perfume it is. This is masterfully blended and lasts for hours on me , up to 8 hours ending with a sensuous hint of vanillic fruit skin scent. Its young at heart, yet mature in execution and final drydown. I am so happy to have her back.

justchillinxo

The very first time I tried it I thought it was a bit too sweet and simple. It smelled kind of like red apples.

I tried it again 2 more times and now I can sense the complexity, it’s very special and it’s a happy fragrance. I think it could easily become someone’s signature as it’s quite unique yet still likeable.

Goes to show it’s a good idea to try any fragrance at least a few times before completely making up your mind (as long as you don’t completely despise it at first)

I bought this on a whim, in search of another fall/winter fragrance. I haven't run into a fragrance that I've bought according to notes and reviews until now. This one is WAY too sweet for me! That floral is a little too pungent for me. I knew this was a gourmand scent going into it, but I think I was hoping for the base notes to come through a little faster and stronger. The sillage and longevity of this fragrance is astonishing, as it lasts for hours even though you scrub like crazy to get it off of yourself! So, to anyone who loves this fragrance, I have a small 1 oz bottle sprayed only once, that I'm willing to trade.

A very busy scent. Everything in it is screaming so loud!

I get excited whenever I wear or smell this on somebody else, I know it sound dorky but it reminds me of love and passion. Very very cute.

Fruity vanilla done well! It's sweet and fruity, but also deep and warm thanks to some perfectly balanced notes of vanilla, tonka and amber. Hours later those warm notes linger on the skin with a touch of fruit left. It's really lovely. I don't find this just a young fragrance, it's beautiful for any age.

I did not expect to love this since I am not big into fruity. But, this is a deep, night scent that goes on fruity but becomes very dry and dark. Dry. Not ripe and juicy. There's lots of tonka, not vanilla. Lots of musk. Maybe some patchouli not listed in the notes? Sweet but like the remnants of a memory of fruit. A stain. Very interesting for a mainstream scent. I like it lots.
