Beauty by Calvin Klein is a Floral fragrance for women. Beauty was launched in 2010. The nose behind this fragrance is Sophie Labbe. Top note is Ambrette (Musk Mallow); middle note is Jasmine; base note is Virginia Cedar.

Calvin Klein is launching a new fragrance for women, Beauty, which arrives on the market in October 2010. The fragrance was created to support Calvin Klein's clothes collection, with elegant fragrance composition which does not have plans to be seductive, like for example Euphoria and Obsession.

Elegance, sophistication, timelessness and beauty are in the first plan. The perfume is ideal for mature women who choose models from Calvin Klein collection and enjoy style and spirit of Klein collections. Beauty is a fragrance representing woman in her 40es, her beauty, maturity and self-esteem.

Composition of Beauty was inspired by gracious curves and beauty of calla lily. Beauty depicts internal beauty of a woman, her strength and spirit. The fragrance was created by Sophie Labbe, of such notes as ambrette seed in a top, jasmine in a heart and cedar-base.

The fragrances arrives in highly elegant flacons in three sizes - 30, 50 and 100ml, along with accompanying products – 200 ml perfumed body lotion and 200 ml perfumed bath and shower cream. Advertising campaign was made by Craig McDean in February 2010 in Berlin. Advertising face of the fragrance is Diane Kruger, dressed in a gorgeous elegant white dress which accentuates her femininity and figure in the advertising campaign.

pure, not offensive, clean, simple, but in my opinion not sophisticated either chic.

lagavulinx

Definately smells like white floral white musky tuberose/gardenia with a softness of Mugler angel, yes its pretty. But it smells alot like Michael kors which I sprayed on my wrist & put beauty on the top of wrist. They both smell alot alike but my a bit more tuberose y. & the beauty is kinda turning I too. Stargazer lily smell for a sec. Its way softer. Shy compared to mk who is a bit louder both nice. But I feel like I'm wearing a more nice teacher or an aunts purfume compared to my own favorites which are more gourmand style. I think the only type of white floral I truly have a kinship with is sand n sable. But its still a beauty. Just doesn't capture my essence at all

Katchele

I was very interested in this fragrance…and so my kids gave me a bottle for my birthday. It is definitely a fresh floral. I like it, but would probably not reach for it much except for a few days during spring.

But if you like clean white florals, go for it!

Enrium

Beauty is very much in keeping with the Calvin Klein perfume style. A clean, minimal daytime scent, it is tailor-made for the working woman. Inoffensive, fuss-free yet decidedly feminine, it is a pleasant easy reach that, while unexciting, serves its purpose nicely.

Beauty is a musky jasmine scent that is also very clean and bright. Ambrette is a musky note that I like, and here it is a lovely inclusion, cosy yet clean. There is a slight citrus quality to the opening, adding freshness in the manner of a pared-back floral fruity, but it quickly becomes a simple musky jasmine scent. Soft woody notes creep in as it dries down, and the musky jasmine remains until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a spring/summer daytime scent.

Given its profile, I was afraid that Beauty was at risk of being like Mugler Alien, whose synthetic musky jasmine accord smells rancid to my nose, but thankfully this is not the case at all. It is more along the lines of J'Adore Dior, but simpler.

Lightweight and sheer, the florals here aren't heady, but this brand of pale jasmine will suit many. I personally like my white florals creamy and lush, but Beauty is a nice example of a clean, muted jasmine scent. It is linear, but pleasant throughout, and doesn't smell cheap. Bonus points for the chic bottle. 3/5.

nosekiss

I used an entire bottle of this when I was 19 that was gifted from my mother. All I can say is this is a decent heady white floral perfume that’s great for everyday wear. It’s very ordinary.

Sophisticated_style

I tried this perfume as I love woody, white florals however there was a ‘sour’ note in this which clung to the skin and I did not enjoy.

scentedstickerz

I didn't like this at all, but I am not a white floral lover, and now it's confirmed. It smells completely different from the Sheer version of this perfume, which is about 60 years younger to me. I'm ok with things that smell more old fashioned when they're rose/floral/powdery, but this I just don't like.

Countrygurl

I bought this perfume a few years ago.new.. I'm having trouble using it. I love white floral and jasmine. This is not it. I'm not sure if the jasmine is too synthetic. This does not smell floral true to me. All I smell is a spicy type ambrette. Which is fine, but I really wanted true jasmine. Something like night blooming jasmine or true soapy floral.
This is more musky amber.

RoseG

if you like jasmine a lot you will like this. I unfortunately really dislike this perfume. It is a very feminine perfume, smells like pure jasmine to me. But it’s just nauseating sometime…

qianqian

Like the light and sweet white florals in this one

Mycoleman2800

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. It's nice, but not what I was hoping for. I love Jasmine but this is a bit much. To harsh even, needs some toning down. This smells nothing like Michael Kors Glam Jasmine. I have Glam Jasmine and it's beautiful and light. Glam Jasmine makes me smile when I wear it. I do have Sheer Beauty and I can say that I like it better than Beauty. I'm still undecided, I will have to come back with an updated review on this.

stew1889

It gave me a headache maybe because there is a smell like Gucci bloom to my nose and I had that one which made me sick during my pregnancy with my son and now if I smell anything like it I get nauseous even 2 years later.

rene.saller

If Alien is a coloratura soprano singing Strauss's Elektra, Beauty is a mezzo singing Brahms's Alto Rhapsody. I'm sincerely surprised that this one and its elegant minimalist bottle don't have a higher rating. The profile is simple, sure, but the three notes listed are balanced very well, and the jasmine is better than most--it's recognizably jasmine, but without all the dank indolic headiness of Alien. It's also much more "daytime" appropriate than Alien, although you could say that about almost any perfume in the world. Beauty dries down to a richer, amber-centered skin scent, but the jasmine lingers in the background throughout, so jasmine haters probably won't be able to overlook it in favor of the ambrette and cedar. I could see this appealing to a wide variety of (mostly) women and femme-presenting people, but it doesn't smell cheap or common or clichéd.

ayamail26

This is worth it! Fresh at the beginning but creamy and comforting, really elegant but simple. I blind bought and it was a good surprise !💕

FutureKiwi

It's October and Ck Beauty is one of the most Octoberish fragrances. I expected nothing from it, since it's just a cheapie. But it's so classy, it makes me feel efortlessly elegant. It somehow reminds me of Avon's Little Black Dress (classic one from 2001) despite being more minimalistic (3 notes only). You can laugh but it's a part of my autumn self care:) I mean, one spray on my scarf and I feel like a well groomed lady. I also appreciate that it's rather discreet, even with jasmine on board.

SundayGirl07

This smells so nice! Musky with a soft amber like smell. This one surprised me. I wasn't expecting to like it this much.

LindaL100

this is a more basic but still beautiful and elegant fragrance, I love floral fragrances especially jasmine scented fragrances and this is 1 of the best floral perfumes on the market. From the first spray you immediately smell the strong and prominent jasmine note, but it's not too overpowering, and the longevity is quite good on my skin. Even with the simplicity and fewer notes in this fragrance, it's still 1 of my favourites, sometimes less is more. I find this fragrance to be 1 of the most versatile perfumes on the market, you can wear it during the day or night, wear it everyday or for special occasions and you can wear it all year round, whatever your preference, it doesn't matter. I've always liked many of Calvin Klein's fragrances for both men or women, alot of his fragrances tend to be more versatile compared to some other brands, and they're alot more affordable compared to most other high-end brands at Chemist Warehouse.

Sillykn

Has a warmth to it that ruins it for me. Couldn't tell you what it is that smells off to me. A little to mature and perfumy per haps?
Great perfomes and will stick to your skin all day.

violeteme

A pleasant, very wearable, suitable for daily errands jasmine, that is a bit perfume-y, not too literal. Luminous, sheer, clean, not indolic, nothing dirty. Elegant, unassuming, might not blow your mind, but it's one of those perfumes that don't grab the attention from the one wearing it. White dress type of perfume.

marialena888m

Excellent, budget-friendly, grab-and-go scent for any situation. Very pretty, feminine and radiant…it’s a clean, fresh, subtly sweet jasmine. Crowd-pleaser and will suit any age from 16-80. If you need an inexpensive scent to use day-to-day, all year round, this is one of the best…it smells more expensive than the price you pay for it. Better than Michael Kor’s Glam Jasmine, this one is smoother and abit creamier (and ofcourse, it costs less). If I use up Glam Jasmine, I will replace it with this.

Nesma95

This perfume is my white button down of scents.

It’s classic, subtle, and has an understated easygoing elegance. It’s extremely office appropriate but can also be worn casually. Not very unique and memorable, but it’s clean versatility make it reliable and pleasant.

dglightblue

This is truly lovely.
Of all the florals I've tried, this one hits right, I do love many.

It's a touch aldehydic woody in its base yet remains airy and clean throughout.
Some florals can go a.bit too far and smell with a tough of worn socks - juicy couture original - Beauty has a smidgen of sweetness in its creamy white bloom, and not "flowery".

Top notch, klein is very reliable

Alces Alces

Beauty comforts me because it places no demands. It's here to serve me with a waft of jasmine and a little ambrette base, just enough scent so that I smell perfume but not enough to distract me. A welcome pleasant presence, like that friend who stops by and stays only a few minutes just as promised. Like people who are exactly on time. Whoever compared it to a room in a neutral color captured the feel perfectly. It leaves you wanting to keep smelling it yet perfectly satisfied.

Also my cat likes me to wear this. She purrs and gets even cuddlier.🐈

neşeyusubova

Calvin Klein is my favorite perfume. Although it is a clean perfume, its performance is very strong on my skin. Suitable for the office environment, I love using it in spring and summer. It's not the simple jasmine scent, thanks to Ambrette and Virginia Cedar, I guess that's why it performs well. The perfume that will best complement my white shirt and black trousers combination today.

panitaz

This scent is appropriate for work or situations in which sexy or dessert scents are unappreciated. It might be detected in hospitals.

SalinasL

This is a simple yet versatile scent. Gives off a quality hair product vibe at the beginning—clean, and the jasmine almost smells tropical like tiare. As it warms up on the skin honey-like nuances (a la California Reverie) come out very briefly before it morphs again into a soft milky musky jasmine. The ambrette is noticeable but not too much, just enough to make this alluring in addition to being clean and casual. I’ve worn this around the house, to the beach, on nights out, and, with only a half-spray, to work. It would be easy to overspray and offend in a work setting. Longevity and projection are strong with 1-2 sprays.

Classiclover84

I adore this perfume. I bought a 30ml bottle and have since upgraded to the 50ml for home. I love the musky, jasmine and wood profile. I find I can get a few hours wear out of it, if I double layer it. I think this will be a signature scent of mine. I tried the sheer beauty but I felt that it just disappeared on me. I love the minimal clean design of the bottle and it suits my style and lifestyle.

Fragrancenotes2020

Omg, I am so glad to see Suzanne touch Versace Crystal Noir and Alien as I came here specifically to see if anyone got the same thing as me. Sometimes, the jasmine do the same on my skin that the Jasmine in Alienddoes. Thank God in Beauty it doesn't stay around too long. Secondly when it dries down and it's fading, it reminds me faintly of my favorite scent Versace Crystal Noir.

dj71

I can only echo what many others have said about this one. This is a clean, floral scent. Definitely safe to wear to work. I agree with ravenjane, who says that this leans towards unisex and can be worn by anyone. It's a simple scent and would be an easy reach for daily wear. As shown by the notes, there is no sweet smell to this fragrance at all. I've recently seen this at several Ross stores for a good price so that's a plus, which I think makes it a safe blind buy for many who are looking for something simple and nice smelling.

ravenjane

Very sexy, inoffensive, professional fragrance that I love. It's also not too feminine, but not overbearingly masculine either; I feel it's very unisex which is something I have come to love about Calvin Klein scents.
I love this scent as an every day scent; it smells expensive and professional, while still having an elegant charm to it.

Absolutely worth the blind buy if you're looking for something mature and not too overbearing. $20 at Ross and Marshalls! <3

suzanne_ronald

VELVETY JASMINE opens this SOLIFLORE beauty, with plush, succulent, whipped, fluffy & violet nuances. There is fairly linear development, but the jasmine blooms with a deepening and expanding of the whipped-violet and musky tones. I also get pencil shavings & a very faint sunscreen vibe on the skin. Over time a lather of creamy & slightly soapy wood is noticeable as supporting the jasmine.

Contrast to Alien EDT Mugler:
With its cult following, it's difficult to compare anything to Alien, and these are different, however there are some similarities with the forward jasmine.

Contrast to Versace Crystal Noir:
These are different, but the drydown of Beauty has a creamy & slightly soapy wood that reminds me of Crystal Noir.

Contrast to Guess Seductive:
These are different, but there is an overall similar vibe with forward jasmine over woody tones. Guess Seductive his more citrus forward but has roughtly equivalent performance.

Overall: Average or slightly above average performance with good but soft projection. This is the perfect scent to wear on a magic carpet ride. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

petitegourmandisesbisous

Beauty was a birthday gift from my father. I honestly did not expect much from the scent considering the fact that I had seen it readily available at Marshall's and often in stock - a sign, I believed, that perhaps the fragrance's Beauty lay solely in its name. With its plain, more "old-fashioned" (but not very glamourous) box and bottle, my expectations remained low; I figured it would be a scent I'd hold onto solely for sentimental purposes. I was wrong.

Beauty is criminally underrated and unappreciated in my opinion. It is a simple, clean fragrance, yes, but that is exactly what makes it so elegant and perfect for everyday wear in practically every season and on any occasion. This is truly a "dumb reach" fragrance. Beauty can be worn fresh out of the shower, to class, work - anywhere really, and it will never seem out of place. It is the type of scent that just makes you feel good when you put it on. So I will continue to put it on, and when I pass by Beauty in Marshall's again, I will wonder how such a beautiful fragrance can be left untouched...

In terms of notes, this is a very clean and linear Jasmine scent (more soapy than sexy). However, it is not a "laundry" scent or straight soap scent - just a light, clean floral. It will be noticed if you spray more on, but it is light enough to wear intimately and close to the skin if you choose. If you're like me and you scare at the mention of "soapy" scents, don't - at least not with Beauty; you will not regret picking this one up!

JaneDough

I love the way this smells! I got a 1oz bottle cheap at Marshall’s, and was shocked by how much I love it. It’s a soft slightly sweet jasmine with woods. Pretty, soft, elegant. Very simple, I will repurchase when I run out.

alternateu

This perfume just proves that notes alone aren't everything. I LOVE ambrette and jasmine in perfumes, but this one just goes synthetic floral drugstore shampoo on my skin instantly. Soft projection and poor longevity.

sjk

This is a very linear perfum-ey jasmine. Inexpensive enough if you want to use to layer. Perfect for spring but would recommend layering to get more depth.

Jordan 99

My sister wear this one quite often and today I had chance to try it on my own skin. I’m surprised how good performance it has, at opening I could smell strong alcohol so I prejudice it will be cheap scent, but alcohol disappeared quickly and lovely fresh bit soapy very soft jasmine started to linger. Dry down was pleasant too, clean, fresh, soapy jasmine ( some jasmine is sweet and some soapy… in my head lol). My husband said it’s bit unisex, but that could be because my other perfumes are very very feminine. I got about 5 hours on my wrist. I think is actually really nice fragrance, maybe not original and super on trend, but nice soft inoffensive safe daily grabber.

ivaa36

Absolutely my favourite perfume ever. It smells so elegant, so clean, so nice. Beautiful. I can almost imagine elegant woman in a white silk shirt wearing this perfume.
Too bad longevity and projection are rather poor
.

aggcat

This is absolutely not a safe blind buy, which I did because it was described as clean and fresh. To my nose it's none of it. It's loud and sharp, not even slightly pleasant. I dislike it very much.

sunglow

Simple elegance what a lovely perfume. Think I have 2 signature scents.

Can'tstopFragranceAddict

This is an absolutely beautiful Jasmine perfume.
It’s clean and sensual, my husband adores this on me. It’s a perfect fragrance for all occasions and all seasons. Great as a gift, safe blind buy if you love Jasmine. it’s so affordable and the bottle is beautiful on your perfume tray as well. ❤️🌸

Anfissa

It reminds me of J’adore by Dior, but a more minimalist version with less complexity and not as soapy as J’adore or as sparkling. It’s much softer than Glam Jasmine, which is a more straightforward strong simple Jasmine scent. I like this better than Glam Jasmine because it’s softer and also more interesting because it has more notes. It’s very pretty and didn’t smell at all synthetic to me. Great everyday very simple white floral Jasmine.

Fashionplatefanny

Bought this for my sister as she loves white florals. This is a soft white floral, not a typical loud white floral. It’s non offensive and soft. I think it’s the perfect office fragrance. The ambrette is very feminine.

doya

Sooo weak, vanishes after half an hour maybe, after you manage to pick up that artificial left-overs. I Love CK perfumes, some of my favs are CK, but this one was pretty disappointing in terms of complexity and longevity. I give it 5/10

Unruly Julie

When will I learn that I don't like sharp woods in a perfume base? 😕

kittywhiskers

Very light pleasant floral scent, bit musky. Clean-smelling and non-offensive. Nothing special but good just to throw on without thinking.

anoncan

beatrix75

Beautiful fragrance really 😍 soft fresh bit warm lovely sunshine in a daily base's I adore jasmine and musk in a parfum so this fragrance become a love for me

greenelf

OMG---I love this scent!! Blind buy of a 1 oz spray online, inspired by gushing reviews--but it's even prettier and more elegant than I expected!! My former CK favorite was the original Eternity, which I was completely obsessed with in the 90's--but this fresh, clean floral with an exquisite jasmin heart truly speaks to me. So feminine but so soft and office friendly. I honestly don't know why this CK scent doesn't have a bigger following--hardly anyone I know is familiar with it!!

Frantheone

Today I reached for it after months. Maybe it's because I mostly own summer fragrances and the weather is cooling down so I wanted something less aquatic and fresh. I do agree with the reviewers that find the jasmine synthetic and aggressive. I want to say something however. I bought this perfume because my sister had it in the early 10s and it smelled amazing. I am 100% they have changed the formula ever since.
Look, it's not bad, and even though I find the jasmine synthetic, somehow it doesn't smell cheap. Since it's notes are so simple and minimal I am going to try layering it with other fragrances I own.
Édit: I paired it with Versace Dylan Turquoise and it is a very pleasant combination!

OlgaOT

I had such high hopes for this one reading the reviews of people calling this a stunning and underrated cheapie (and it’s such a catch to try and appreciate something that not many people do).

Big disappointment though. Smells very synthetic and may I just say generic. Loud jasmine on a sweet side with no trace of natural scents.

MarchHare

this is so simple and so pretty. very versatile--i can't imagine this being inappropriate for any setting, really. right after spraying, it has a hairspray quality to it, but that settles within 3 minutes and becomes a perfect floral. slightly peppery, woody, and big clean jasmine. it could last longer, but it's beautiful. 8/10

perfumesniffer

I’m always looking out for those bargain greats. The reviews on this are fairly solid. But my experience with it is not good.

It’s a HIGHLY SYNTHETIC SHARP jasmine floral with a teensy woody fake scratchy base. It’s the kind of “mainstream mall” dreck I avoid. I’m glad I got it for super cheap. Calling this aromatherapy (below) is what made me blind buy. This is not like aromatherapy by any stretch of the imagination.

amg7613

It’s simple and pretty. A warm blanket of a fragrance. I love how the jasmine is balanced out by the ambrette and sandalwood. Jasmine, to me, can be so projecting and piercing, but Beauty does a great job in tempering it. The result is a clean fragrance suitable for everyday. I literally blind bought this knowing nothing, and if I would have seen the jasmine I would have left it on the shelf. I’m so glad I picked it up and gave it a shot.

ajrose

This is the ever so slightly sweet and well balanced jasmine I've been looking for! Sometimes cedar turns too dry and peppery for me, but thankfully that isn't the case with this perfume (on my skin). I got this for a great price and I'm very happy to have this in my collection.

GUADELUPA

It's lovely and tender scent. Almost mono jasmine. I love jasmine, so it suits perfectly for me. This fragrance will be ideal for office and business environment - light and beautiful scent. It may be used every day and for any special events. The scent is a little bit sweety, but cedar balances such sweetness with slightly tart notes. Therefore, it cannot be called gourmet. I think it's a floral fragrance based on the light sweetness of jasmine. Longevity and sillage are moderate, I have to reapply it during the day, but it's OK because its top notes are the most beautiful. Beauty by Calvin Klein is suitable for women of any age. By the way, after one year my fragrance became sweeter and more pleasant. If it's harsh for you, stay it away for some time, it will change for the better.

albatros

I think this is a safe blind buy. It's not weak but not loud either, very feminine and pleasant, it is sexy and I can see a woman of any age wearing it. Not cloying or heavy so you can safely wear it in summer too.

mariboo

Very elegant and classic. You'll detect the Jasmine notes immediately. This scent 's modesty is perfect for a professional environment.

Edemay

Terrible scent
Smells nothing like the Dior scents or Alien
Cheap, mediocre just bleh

Sabine_Donegan

This was gifted to me a couple years back, jasmine is not my thing at all, this perfume seems very serious to me and I don't think it works on me. That being said it's a great perfume and very good buy for your buck.

Flowers bloom here

I bought this in search of a clean jasmine scent . I got a newer version in the clear glass bottle and was not expecting the powerhouse opening of this scent! Wow, It smelled like I was bathing a jasmine pool for a couple of hours then settled into a strong warm jasmine for 8+ hours. I definitely found my jasmine and the huge bottle was very affordable. What a pleasant surprise to find this potent gem :)

Anamandy

This scent comes alive in the heat. There are not many scents that can stand up to extreme heat, but this can. I happen not to like this fragrance in the winter or cooler months. It doesn't smell good to me. The jasmine comes off as slightly metallic, the opening is too peppery, and the ambrette is completely MIA on my skin. The composition as a whole takes on a woody stiffness from the cedar. But apply this on a hot day, and it becomes a whole different fragrance. The jasmine sparkles; the ambrette adds a delicate muskiness; barely discernable cedar adds a solid base; and the pepper note, so sneeze inducing before, adds a refreshing contrast between the sweet jasmine and the sensual ambrette. Then this fragrance really lives up to its name - Beauty!

It's delicate but not shallow; minimalist but not simplistic. A clean, elegant scent that is deceptively complex despite the limited note profile. I just love it this time of year.

poolsoflaughter

This was a recent blind buy, just based on the notes...it's very clean and fresh. I think this is perfect for a hot summer's day; I wish my husband liked it more. I tend to wear fragrances with a touch of sweetness...this has absolutely NO sweetness..it's a very dry, woodsy floral.

zmosmo

I have a tiny bottle of this from 2013, which I use when I feel that Jasmine vibe. I can't believe it has so few notes. This is very long lasting, sexy, funy, lovely Jasmine to the core. It might feel old if Jasmine is not your bag. I will use it to the very last drop.

chlorodream

High class jasmine soap, comforting musky mallow radiating behind it, a little woodsy on the drydown, this is a perfect wedding fragrance. It’s the luxe white dress, the done up hair, the whole thing. Beauty indeed.

Soft, arms length sillage and decent longevity, leaves trails others will notice but might attribute to a really nice fabric softener you use.

Perfect for cuddling up with your dog in bed, too.

In short, it’s comforting. So, so comforting, yet without being sweet. It won’t give you a headache, it won’t make you feel sick on an early morning when you’re feeling fragile. It’s a blanket.

Every CK I try, I like the brand more and more.

(Play List - "Summer Breeze" - Seals and Croft...
"Summer Breeze makes me feel fine - blowing with the jasmine in my mind."

--------

This perfume is one that really had to grow on me. I knew that I liked it when I first smelled it, but it took over 5 years of spritzing at the retail store before I actually purchased it. Some have called it generic or have made statements in reviews saying that this is fairly common, but this may be before they have actually worn this a week or more in the spring/summer to see how magnificent the jasmine/cedar combination is when this is worn in the heat of the summer or at the gym - or a workout.

I too, was "on the fence" with this one - when I first bought it, it sat in my drawer - boxed for a year and a half before I added it to my rotation of perfumes. I liked the bottle and packaging - it is elegant and a "new" type perfume style for me, very modern. The perfume itself really had to be worn a full week before I realized how well this interplayed with my chemistry. During the week of wear, I witnessed the enchanting look in people's eyes when they would ask what perfume I was wearing, or would make comments as to how they liked my perfume. I typically go for perfumes that are much more of a statement -- and a lot of my perfume taste leans towards perfumes that have more of a powerful 1980's type blend. This perfume was a genre stretch for me.

This took awhile to see the value of this. It was easy to dismiss, until turning the corner on the perfume and realizing that this has a subtle power within itself that some of my other, more bold perfumes seem to be lacking. This is an understated, elegant, and yet casual enough to be worn every day - or could be worn as a signature. It is not screaming at you from across the room, but more of a relaxed, calm, solid type voice that doesn't need to scream or screech for recognition. The beauty of this is that it is natural, calming, and peaceful. It isn't trying overly hard to make a statement or to be perceived as overly powerful; its strength is in its ability to be understated, calming, reliable, and naturally well grounded.

This perfume is a well blended, harmonious, gentle, with a delicate air of minimalism. It is an easy reach and a sophisticated choice. The chord is a livable, a natural alto range chord. The more that I wear this, the more I appreciate it. Spa-like (at times, this even has a quality to it where it reminds me of light breeze of aromatherapy -- this is probably when the jasmine is in full bloom, more in the heat of the day or after a workout); the first initial minutes of the spray brings to mind the sea salt notes in the air by the beach near the coastline. There's a hint of musk that sweetens the chord (but is not so present that it over shadows the jasmine).

If this perfume were related to decor, this perfume would be the equivalent of a soft, neutral, livable paint tone that offers a calming nod which grounds the home. A perfume which says, "everything's ok, you GOT THIS" - in a reassuring fashion without appearing like you are bragging.

This is natural, clean, fresh, relaxed elegance, calm, peaceful, harmonious, attractive - but isn't trying to force things - this perfume has a nice low key, relaxed gracefulness about it; pretty but isn't guilty of trying too hard. Delicate strength, after the first 20 minutes spray, this blends more into the skin like a finely milled soap with just a slight trace that you are wearing fragrance at all.

This is one of the best spring/summer casual day-wear perfumes that I have found in the past 3 year search (you could probably wear this year round, but the best part of this perfume is when the jasmine really blooms in the heat -- for this reason, I see this primarily as a spring/summer fragrance).

This is one that has really surprised me, I catch myself mid-day forgetting that I sprayed this, then smelling this gorgeous, soft, soap-like - "just out of the shower essence" that makes me sniff my arms again and again.

Calvin Klein's Beauty is natural, modest, simple/less complex, gentle, classically-elegant where this perfume smells high end but not overly flashy. This is perfume that is comfortable in its own skin, it is not having to feel as if it is putting on airs or trying too hard. The ingredients are streamlined where there is an uncomplicated, pure, natural type essence. This is one of the easiest reaches in my perfume collection. If I am not sure of what perfume to wear, this is a reliable and inoffensive choice. It is the closest thing that I have found to a minimalist perfume (and I'm not really a "minimalist" typically, that is why this perfume has really caught me completely off guard). The ingredients are: Top note - Ambrette (Musk Mallow); middle note - Jasmine; base note - Virginia Cedar (some have even thought that this smells almost like Birch).

The compliments that I've received with this are proof that this perfume can hold its own when compared to a lot of the other perfumes that I wear on a regular basis. (I never would have guessed that a softer/less intrusive perfume would draw this much attention) - they have that sprinkled with pixie dust and "touched by Tinker Bell's magic wand" - look in their eyes after commenting on this. This perfume has a way of opening doors, I've never worn a perfume where people are going out of their way to be of service to me or to give me free merchandise (oh, the tea is on me, can I take your tray to the table, here - a free Mac makeup bag). This is an odd thing about this perfume... it draws compliments - people shyly mention the smell of this after they have been standing within several feet of me. This is a "whisper" perfume, it doesn't "shout" its entrance and cause you to double take from 10 feet across the room. This perfume is more intuitive and intimate. People notice this more when you are in closer in proximity to them.

On me, with my chemistry - this perfume blooms more and opens up in the heat - in the dry down phase. This is when this starts to smell similar to the dry down phase with Alien. (I've already seen the reviews that refute this, but I must state... "on my skin and with my chemistry" -- and qualify this further -- "in the dry down phase -- about 5 hours into the wear"... Beauty is extremely similar to Alien in this phase of wear. I KNOW - because I am trying them, side by side.

[Comparing Alien and Calvin Klein's Beauty - side by side...
Similarities: Almost the exact same chord range... and what I mean by that -- if the individual notes within the chord were an exact "range" played on a piano - the chords would be within the same stretch, in the same location on the piano keyboard. Beauty is more paired down (less complex), it has less perfume notes that make up the chord...however - it is less "perfume-y" and is more spa-like (like a soft version of aromatherapy).

Differences: From the git-go (the first spray through the first couple of hours of wear, these two have different notes that you notice. Alien leads with much more of a grape, purple, tobacco chord -- and Beauty leads with a less complicated, more natural essence of cedar, musk.

Dry down phase - as Alien relaxes into wear, the more purple, tobacco notes subside and tone down leaving more of an essence similar to Beauty. On my skin, after about 4-5 hours of wear, they become about 88% similar (yes there are still subtle traces of the Alien woods and tobacco notes, but for the most part they are extremely similar).]

Wait for the dry down, and I must say -- this perfume works better for me in the heat because of the way this blooms on the skin when the weather is warm -- or a HOT day.
The dry down on my skin very similar to Alien, without the grape and the darker, deeper, woodsy heavier notes (similar to a tobacco base)...
With my chemistry, Beauty is like a spa-like, cedar/birch version of Alien.
And yes, I have both perfumes. I have tried these side by side.

The more that I wear this perfume, the more I appreciate it. It is definitely a new genre of perfumes for me, something that I wasn't really seeking - but so glad that I found.

This is the type of perfume that I would have loved back in junior high and high school, before I was exposed to perfumes that had more of a 1980's perfume-type strength.

Great fragrance for a day when you are not wanting something overly perfume-y, but still want to fresh smell. Several people recommended this perfume for a fragrance that can be worn to the gym, yoga classes, pilates, walking the dogs, hiking, etc... this is a fresh, spa-like, clean smelling perfume. This is also a perfume that isn't overtly strong or distracting -- an excellent office, day-time perfume -- and one that may even fly below the radar for strict perfume codes in industries such as the medical, hospital, doctor's offices, dentist offices.

The most incredible thing about this perfume is the dry down, because this mixes extremely well with my chemistry. This moves into a soft smelling musk-y type clean soap smell, which is heavenly on. It is really a Beauty in the dry down, for sure.

Calvin Klein's Beauty is perfect for times when you want a lighter, fresh, soap smelling fragrance that is not over powering or too perfume-y. I love this, but this does not replace the perfumes that I typically like to wear for more presence and evening wear. This perfume doesn't market itself as a romantic type perfume - although men will probably really like the smell of this, on. The woodsiness of the cedar/birch almost makes this lean in the direction of a unisex type perfume, although the dry down of this leans feminine.

----------

Is this a Signature Worthy Perfume?
Most definitely on the right person.
This is a great day wear, outdoorsy, or office type perfume.

For me and my taste in perfumes -
This perfume would be in the running for a Signature Perfume if it were slightly stronger and had a bit more presence. I wish this perfume were more alluring and if it leaned more feminine than unisex.

I really love this one for what it is -- the more I wear this one, the more it grows on me.
This is one of the biggest surprises in my perfume search. I would never have guessed that I would like this one as much as I do. The dry down of this is what pushes this perfume into a range of perfumes that is really fabulous with my chemistry.

The compliments that I have received on this perfume are also an indication that this is really good, ON.

This is young and fresh without being juvenile.
Then again, this is grounded, clear, with a level of thoughtful maturity that you know is trustworthy, with a sense of purpose and leadership.
This fragrance has the type of freshness which allows it to transcend time. This doesn't limit itself to a particular age or level of maturity. This perfume is like the person that you appreciate because of their bright shining eyes - and their love of life, no matter how many years they have lived. There is a freshness with this particular perfume which comes out more when this blooms in the heat (yes, this is one of those that I didn't even completely understand, until I had a chance to wear this a week - and see how this perfume blooms on my skin in the heat. This perfume shifts the paradigm of age and time. This is ageless, timeless, and something that resonates with being soulful... there are moments when this becomes heavenly and divine.

---------

I would definitely sample this or at least spritz this one first to make sure that this is really YOUR THING.

This is a shock for me, this was a perfume that I saw in the store several years before purchasing it. I had sprayed this a number of times, and liked it - but didn't feel compelled to purchase it. After Covid quarantine began, I went on a mission to find another signature perfume. I began sampling a few perfumes that were less heavy than the other perfumes that I usually had the tendency to wear.

Eventually, I rationalized purchasing this. However, I first found that I was reaching for heavier perfumes, the type that I have always had a tendency to wear. This perfume was less heavy, so it sat in the drawer for over a year and a half - I never really thought to wear it -- then I was clearing my space of things that I haven't used in a certain time period - and I decided to wear this every day for a week. A few days into this - I was hooked! This is a GREAT perfume - for what it is...
Great for day wear, the office, outdoors activities like walking the dog, going for hikes... walks... spa-like -- could be worn to the gym without offense....
I really like this one - and the more I wear it, it is turning into a LOVE!

-----------

Just as with other perfumes, the first 10 - 20 minutes of this is stronger, but I do not detect the typical perfume "chemical" smell --you may really like this one, if not LOVE IT!

This is one of those perfumes which I liked, but had not truly loved till seeing what this does when it blooms on the skin when it is warm.

Other Jasmine, Musk perfumes which are similar - but in the general spa-like/natural theme of Calvin Klein's Beauty.

If you like Calvin Klein's Beauty but want a perfume that starts about twice as strong, try Natalie Wood's perfume. They are in the same family of perfumes...both have an essence about them that could be categorized as spa-like and leans towards being more in the range of aromatherapy. Natalie Wood's perfume is much more of a classic floral perfume with more obvious notes such as gardenia and starts with a more obvious floral bouquet aroma than Beauty. Natalie Wood's perfume has more ingredients: Neroli, Bitter Orange, Freesia and Rose Oil; middle notes are Orange Blossom, Gardenia, Jasmine, Narcissus and Hyacinth; base notes are Woody Notes, Vanilla and Musk. (This starts stronger than CK's Beauty, but lasts just an hour or two on the skin).

Jennifer Lopez's Love and Light is just a shade or two more intense - than Beauty, it has different ingredients and notes, but the overall essence is in the same family as CK's Beauty. The ingredients in Love and Light are: Top notes - Pomegranate, Red Currant and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Jasmine, Rose and Apricot; base notes - Patchouli, Praline and Musk.

---------

Elizabeth Arden's White Tea perfume is slightly different, it has more of a tea-like essence, but the general effect of that, is similar to this range of spa-like perfumes. EA's White Tea: Top notes - Sea Notes, Fern, Mandarin Orange and Clary Sage; middle notes - White Tea, White Iris and Mate; base notes - Ambrette (Musk Mallow), Exotic Woods, Tonka Bean and Amber. (I love the smell of this, but the longevity and endurance is just an hour or so, without the need to refresh... still - I love the general smell of this perfume).

-----------

No, I wasn't given a sample of this - and I wasn't hired by Calvin Klein to chat this one up.
This perfume has really taken be by surprise. I never would have thought that this would be one of the perfumes that I would take a liking to. It is a shock even to me!

Foot Note (In response to the "Aromatherapy comment":

Ok, thanks for your comment on the "aromatherapy" comments --
Notice, when I stated this, I said that it is like a "light breeze" of aromatherapy.

I also made an adjustment after reading your review - and stated that this happens when the jasmine is more in full bloom - in the heat of the day or during a workout -

And - keep in mind, I always write my reviews based on my own personal experiences with the perfumes. With my chemistry, when the jasmine blooms in this perfume - it is ever bit as much like aromatherapy as I stated... but more like a "Light Breeze" - rather than full on aromatherapy oils.

If you haven't worn this yet in the heat of the day or during a workout where you are sweating, then you won't know what I'm talking about. This perfume changes in heat. It gets MUCH BETTER!

One of the only scents my husband actually commented on which means he really liked it. This is straight up jasmine and musk . Simple and beautiful scent. It is not beast mode but decent performance. Great for layering and lovely if you are white floral lover ! I love it so much that I had to get a back up bottle . I can smell it on me the next day after I wear it on cloths .

fairydust1025

This perfume was a total blind buy and I’m completely in love with it! I literally sprayed one spray on my wrists and rubbed them together and that was it. The smell totally makes it to my nose and it’s been a little bit already and I can still smell it. So awesome sillage. To me it’s like a little soapy smelling which I love mixed with jasmine. Kinda hard to describe but it smells AMAZING. I’ll definitely be buying more.

Edemay

Curse whoever compared this to the Dior scents!
I blind bought this and it smells like dirty bandaids

Sparkleball22

This is the Jasmine fairy, people. If you don’t want her to bless you with her flowery vibes run away from Beauty right now!
If, on the other hand, you can respect and love a true, clean jasmine fragrance that’s truly about that flower with just a hint of something fluffy and sparkling about it then this is your girl. The dry down will still have a floaty jasmine but will also reveal a dry, warm woods with nothing sweet to temper it. I love this and it makes me feel like I am one with nature. Someone said spa-like and zen and I think that captures it. Feels innocent and pure but not childish. Fits the name well. I love it!

C. McLeod

I blind bought this as a drugstore “cheapie” and what a pleasant surprise! I oversprayed this morning knowing that CK perfumes are usually poor performers and I kept getting lovely whiffs of comforting jasmine throughout the day. I think it will work even better as the weather warms up since it seems to be re-activated by body heat. This fragrance is a well kept secret. 😉

rhaineclayton

I've had this one before and the Tendre Jasmin. It's a classic fragrance. Not too complicated. I think I finished my bottle and bought the Tendre Jasmin, but ended up selling that one on.
I picked up a new bottle of Beauty on eBay recently. It hasn't arrived yet, so I'm not sure if it's the old formulation or the new one.
I'd been agonising about whether or not to get this one back in my collection and, as fate would have it, another perfume I'd ordered arrived with a card saying "this card has been sprayed with CK Beauty" and it's just as gorgeous as I remember.

Edit to add: I wore this today and there's an almost peppery musk that's projecting from it that I dislike. I remember it from my first bottle (with the silver around the bottle), but it was more in the background. Maybe it's a reformulation, or hormones or because I'm wearing it in the dead of winter. Either way, I'm not enjoying it on me like I used to. I'll probably bring it out again in the warmer weather and see if that changes things.

AmazonianCat

CK Beauty perfume reminds me of fluffy musk and gentle jasmine. I usually use it in the spring. On me it lasts for about 4 hours with a moderate projection. For me, it’s a pleasant, not complex floral musky-floral scent.

juliabee

A gentle, dainty, and classic soapy floral, professional enough for the office and romantic enough for early morning dates in the city. I picked up a 50 ml chrome bottle almost a decade ago and have had it in my collection ever since as my designated job interview scent- it's never failed me yet!

tresi

I first tried this in the winter & I was so disappointed. Synthetic & loud in the opening, drying down to something decaying & then fading to an indiscernible skin scent.
A few months later, in warmer weather I tried it again, wow! Such a difference! Beautiful, freshly blooming jasmine, lasting for hours, not overpowering but just lovely, refreshing whiffs throughout the day & then the final dry down towards the evening a pleasing, woody, almost powdery, skin scent.
I think I have my spring scent this year! So happy.
I love that it was created with a woman in her 40s in mind & that it's likened to a calla lily. That's my demographic & the comparison of the fragrance to the elegance of the flower seems fitting & a refreshingly respectful symbology for a middle aged woman, thank you.
Katherine Hepburn in On Golden Pond, "the calla lilies are in bloom"...granted she was past middle aged for that role, she was always a true beauty.
Edit: I was sitting in the sun, on a warm day, about 6 hours after spraying it on in the a.m. The cedar base was really coming through! It was registering as a masculine scent in a comforting way. I'm going to consider this more as an androgynous profile because of the dry down. It's more complex then my first or even second evaluation. I'm appreciating getting to know this perfume more each time I wear it.

mirisfrik

I’m in love. This refolmulated version is perfect. Jasmine is not so cloying as in the 1st version. It’s fresh woody floral fragrance with enormous silage & longevity. And can be bought for silly price like under 25€/100ml.
One of the very few that I could use during my pregnancy (and after giving Birthday as it seems that My perfume preferences changed permanently since then). It even helps with nausea. Really calm down the situation.
Wearing it, I feel so happy, clean & free.
What I don’T like is the fact that it is sold for mature 40+ Years old women. Come on, is the year Tag really necessary? I’m nowhere near that, but Enjoy wearing Beauty really much.

Rober7a

This was recommended to me multiple times when I asked for a good jasmine fragrance, also I wanted something resembling Dove soap scent and this hits both spots for me. :) I love this, it's a very fresh jasmine bright and uplifting, and that slight soapiness gives it a very clean freshly showered vibe. I don't get any woodiness at all like others have mentioned. Sillage and longevity seems mid range, which for the price is more than fine. Will get a full bottle of this for sure.

BASMAJ

My Mom's fragrance... I love it so much❤ I remember once I took her bottle 30% full... it can be unisex IMO...I used to layer it with CK obsession for men.. like 4 sprays from obsession and 2 from this beautiful classy fragrance...Wow...now I feel like I want to buy both fragrances and do the magic again!

Very beautiful bottle..could be used as a weapon in case you think of throwing it on someone 😄👉VERY heavy metal and glass!! It looks futuristic out from another world.. science-fiction vibe 1000/10 bottle design..1000/10 scent profile..beautiful jasmine 🥰👌

LSAUG

Beauty is a beauty of a jasmine perfume. Very strong, just bloomed jasmine flowers, young, fresh and new. Nothing dying or indole in this jasmine. Just clean, green and newly bloomed. This would be great in a lotion and bubble bath as well. Great value for money. I blind bought this based on the reviews here and it did not disappoint. If you are looking for a clean, fresh just bloomed jasmine perfume and want value for money Beauty by Calvin Klein is a good way to go.

goldraindrop

I blind bought a 30ml bottle which came without the chrome cap/trim. On my skin it lasts around 4-5 hours but becomes a skin scent quite quickly which I honestly don't mind because the fragrance is beautiful. I have a soft spot for jasmine because as I kid it was a ritual to pick a few jasmine flowers with my grandpa from a shrub j growing in the garden next to my house. I would stick my nose into the flower and inhale as we walked around. This is a lovely musky fragrance. It is well blended and lightly soapy. It makes me want to put on a long white dress, straw hat and head to the botanical garden for a stroll under the sun. One of my faves despite the longevity. When I run out of this bottle, I may look for a better performing jasmine. Happy to have any recommendations.

kathmarie

I really like this one just wish kicked a better punch

Cherry Bloom

I've been in search for a simple, musky, tender jasmine for months now. I found it. I'm sooo happy. I was about to give up but my search ended fruitfully. My perfect clean, easy jasmine. I'm in love love love

Dancer_kr

Beautiful!! It’s my sister’s signature scent so I might be biased haha. It’s a very simple fragrance, I get a lovely jasmine and woods combo with this. I compared this to Michael Kors glam jasmine and like the CK beauty one more. GJ is a bit screechy on me. If you don’t like loud white florals, this one is for you. It’s more quiet and elegant! Oh and it doesn’t bother my sister at all (she has asthma and allergies) so if you want to wear a perfume around family/friends/coworkers that are sensitive to fragrance, this might work. Or EA green tea edt (my sister uses that as well), which is more green and tart and very nice for a hot day.

Kuty22

I received it as a Christmas 🎄🎁
I've noticed that my bottle does not have a metal cap nor does it have metal around the edges (the OG bottle is stunning)
The new all glass bottle is quite pretty and elegant.
First, I absolutely love jasmine.
I never heard of or tried this scent before. No one I know or grew up with ever mentioned Calvin Klein fragances.
The only fragances I've tried from Calvin Klein are the 'CK One' ones*, laid back and very light = okayish
It opens up with a burst of alcohol, few seconds after it develops into a citrus - bergamot maybe?
Then comes the Jasmine, the 🌟, as the fragrance was new to me, I thought it was tuberose because it is a sweet Jasmine.
Now that I have checked the notes, I see it has Ambrette which makes it sweet - I own irresistible by Givenchy it has it too, makes it smell like cotton candy, to my nose -
This sweet jasmine, on my skin, lasted about an hour then it goes to a light musky, citric scent and it disappeared in 2 hours. I've tried 1 spray on my wrist.
Perfumes to my nose have no age, they are based on trends.
I find it suitable for all ages, super light, clean, fresh with enough sweetness to it, easy going.
I wish it lasted longer, maybe it does on clothes.
Either way, I needed a Jasmine fragance to layer with Sublime Epoque from Zara(to make it smell more like My Way 😉) as I was using Gucci Bloom.
Definitely keeping this one.
I will try to find the original version

This review for the OG Calvin Klein Beauty (chrome cap). I purchased this a few years ago as a blind buy. It was pretty cheap from TJmaxx under $20, if I remember correctly. The longevity on this is outstanding. On me? all day & beyond, I still smell it then next day, beast mode. The jasmine is amazing. This is a beautiful white floral you can't go wrong with. This is not a light scent to my nose. More for the mature woman, I think it's a little heavy for the office.

Amethista

A blind buy, but gosh, am I happy I did buy it! The fragrance opens with a strong ambrette, a musky scent that is accompanied by a beautiful soft floral, the latter becoming the star of the show during the many hours to come. I think the description of the perfume is on point: it's truly an elegant, sophisticated perfume that shows beauty by sheer simplicity.

Review based on the old formula (chrome bottle).

powederedoranges

This is extremely jasmine-y and creamy. It seems comforting and safe, like someone's Mum would wear and give you a hug with. Unfortunately, I don't know what I did to myself with this perfume, but when I first bought it I LOVED it, so much so that I immediately went and bought a back up bottle and went through half a bottle in a month. One day I tried to wear it and it made my stomach turn, and I haven't been able to wear it since. I sold the back up bottle and keep the original bottle in case I ever go back to the obsession I once had, but it keeps eluding me. By rights, this is a simple perfume and presumably a safe blind buy - but if you're anything like me, it might betray you.

Pebblesjebbles333

This smells like a dainty, very feminine and soft white floral. I immediately thought of summer and spring while wearing a flowing dress. The name fits the fragrance because it does smell beautiful. It is the type of fragrance you can safely wear anywhere when you don’t want to think about what perfume to wear.

Bottle is nice to look at. Sillage and longevity are okay too.

MrsMRe

Soft, pleasant, shampoo-y jasmine that reminds me of a nice hand soap. I'm always searching for a beautiful ambrette, and I'm sorry to say that this was not it. I'm going to keep it and see if the ambrette evolves a bit over time. For now, new out of the box, it's too simple for me, just a clean jasmine. Strong sillage and projection for such a soft fragrance.

coffeefifofum

My review is the same as a lot of the others. Pretty, clean, fresh, uncomplicated, straightforward. On my skin it starts with an almost citrus note, but it quickly dries into jasmine with a very slight undernote of pepper then fade completely in under 5 hours. It's a solid dailywear scent.

Eternity Girl

Im abit upset to hear Beauty has been reformulated (a bottle with no chrome) because this perfume is a stunner !!

Simple, refined and elegant !!

I almost showered in my first bottle 8 years ago and it helped me get through a very difficult time in my life.

My daughters name is Jasmine and the jasmine in Beauty is the very best I have ever experienced. Its so pretty and pure.
I have about 30% left in a 50ml and a 100ml backup but will no doubt start looking tomorrow for another og bottle.
For some this lovely could be perceived as slightly dated because it is indeed very 'perfumey' but it is also a 'classic' in my opinion which will be seen as such later. Like all classic's the passing of time is what brings appreciation.

anneshrimatti

This is smells like a catholic church, straight up white jasmine, which very nostalgic for me. I like white jasmine in some perfumes that are made more modern smelling. This is just not it. I'm sure this will appeal to some but it is way too old fashioned, like Elizabeth Arden perfumes like Red Door (which I despise). I'm surprised that no one is comparing this to the original KKW perfume, because this smells almost identical to it. But KKW definitely performs way better, but again, if you don't like that kind scent profile, you're not gonna like this one. Overall, if you're younger than 35, this probably will not be suited to your liking.

Emera1d

Not something I normally go for but seeing a bottle came my way I decided to give it a chance. Didn't like it at first, there was a note that didn't vibe with me. I have been wearing it for a few days now at the end of the day after work and it has really grown on me and has a very nice, simple, relaxing chill out feel. It has be perfect for the hot summer nights, time will tell if it will be the same in the colder months. I will keep it in my collection but not sure I would repurchase just yet. I always had low expectation of CK perfumes longevity but this one is surprisingly good! It actually makes me want to try the flankers too.

iamnehir

Very poor sillage. The dry down is not as creamy as I like. It's a very safe choice, however nothing special in my opinion.

SmellsLikeMoneyWellSpent

Simple blend, yet dense and intensive. I used it a lot in my middle to late 20s at work and university, sweetness and softness gave me a nice hug, but elegance added some professional edge to it. Now, I don't like it so much anymore, makes me feel older, and since I am older I do not want to feel that way anymore :)

crazypiglady

This has been my signature for a while but it doesn't last long. I have only used the recent formulation not the original which apparently has a longer longevity. I'd also agree with other reviewers warnings not to trust ebay stock pictures of the original bottle as I've just received the new formulation after buying what was pictured as the original. All in all though it's a lovely, simple, fresh perfume. I've classed is as 'Like' rather than 'Love' as there are others that blow you away. I just wish this lasted longer.

Top: Musk, Woody.
Heart: Floral, Rose.
Base: Wood.

Evenfragrance

Really nice clean white floral musk. Still going strong on paper 24 hours later. Could see this being someone's daily signature. All the freshness and lack of sweetness that makes me like CK. Slightly more bitter/less "round" -maybe stronger - than something like MJ Daisy.

sugar&spice

Well this is a turn up for the books! Have owned a sample of this before but this is the first time I've ordered a full bottle (50ml - bargain at £16.50 from the Fragrance Shop). I tested this in Lloyds Pharmacy a couple of days ago after a very long time, and it instantly made me swoon, roll my eyes back and think, Yes! Just a gorgeous, fresh yet sensuous floral. This is beyond just a clean scent - it's heady and somehow both melds with and emanates from your skin in a truly beautiful way. Indolic scents don't seem to work with my skin chemistry, but the jasmin in this is airy and uplifting. Lovely on its own, yet also layers well with other scents due to its simplicity (eg I wear Black Opium and top up with CK Beauty in the day). For the record, this is a review for the current formulation; I actually prefer it to the old one which gave me a slight headache. A delightful rediscovery which I highly recommend!

ClassicsLover

@Pippamorningstar, you are right. The bottles without the chrome are the new reformulated version, just as the majority of CK fragrances have been reformulated. Seems CK decided to go with the same style bottle as Sheer Beauty and eliminated the metal, most likely to cut down cost. .While the new version is still nice, it's very light and somewhat different. I think the new formula would work best for someone who likes light perfumes but the old formula is somewhat stronger and lasts all day. So you are not imagining that. The differences are not minor.
For anyone else who is interested, if you really want to know how this beautiful scent actually smelled and performed you will need to seek out a bottle of the old formula. Make sure you see actual pictures of the bottle you are being sold and not just a stock photo. That's the mistake I made. I have since purchased a bottle of the original formula in the metal encased bottle and while it cost a little more it was well worth it. You will smell the fragrance as it was meant to be and not how a manufacturer cutting corners wants you to smell it now. Also, be aware that there are some bottles that just have the metal cap but no metal around the bottle. I have been purchasing this fragrance since it came out, and I have yet to see any bottles like that. I suspect that some sellers are taking the old caps off their bottles and putting it on the new bottles and trying to pass it off as an original formula. So be aware of that. Only bottles with metal around the whole bottle are the original formula. Like all CK fragrances even the reformulations are nice and while I didn't care for the new version my daughter loved it. She thinks it is more modern because it is lighter. So it worked out in the end.

Pippamorningstar

Scandiperson thanks for your response. It seems the non-chrome packaged version is perhaps a reformulation rather than counterfeit (though an eBay seller I was recently in contact with told me there are a lot of counterfeits of this fragrance around and there also seem to be on Amazon judging comments). If this were the case you would think Coty would be keen to assure people of the authenticity of their product but they did not even respond to me after asking me to send in photos.

Again, the version I tested in the store that lingered on the test strip 3 days (from the chromed bottle) bore absolutely no resemblance to the fragrance in the clear bottle (which to me becomes a skin scent in 20 minutes). So if this is a reformulation I’m shocked at how different it is. They did a far worse job with this than with Euphoria.

Pippamorningstar

Thank you to those commenters remarking on my post, however I must stress again that I tested the fragrance with the chromed bottle in a store and the longevity was 3 days while the newer version, whether genuine or not, becomes a skin scent on me within 20 minutes so as far as I am concerned we are looking at two completely different fragrances and to me the new one is completely unsatisfactory. I make no judgement on those who try it and enjoy it - to each their own.

I did contact Coty about this issue to confirm whether or not the fragrance in the glass bottle was genuine but as per Aaron's statement they also did not bother replying.

LaContessina

Easy, uncomplicated and a real beauty.
I remember liking it a lot when it launched 10 years ago but i never bought a bottle.
Now i got me a bottle for a ridiculous price and i am pleasantly surprised!
My bottle is obviously new - without the metal chrome frame around- so i have a reformulated version - however i cannot complain.

This is a very well blended, wearable white floral, modest sillage making it wearable in a number of public situations, office included.

On my skin it's a light jasmine with a musky, warm cuddly base.
Makes you feel put together and nice.
I really like it and could not believe it lasted a good 7 hours on my hands (several washings included) but with limited projection that faded fast.
In anycase i am glad i got Beauty and i am thinking of getting a backup, just in case....

Scandipersian

Pippamorningstar, the clear glass bottle with no chrome details is completely genuine though and probably just a newer version I can say. I got mine from the biggest most reputable retailer in Denmark (Matas). You can also see these clear bottles on display on this page under promotional pictures anove.

The scent to me is not very heavy but quite noticeable still. With three notes only floral it is not a huge projecting fragrance.

Pippamorningstar

Thanks to Aaron Star’s review for the forewarning. I just bought a bottle of this in Australia from a major online perfume retailer, feelingsexy.com.au. The bottle was marked Coty. The box was the same but the bottle had no chrome detailing on the sides and no chrome lid – it was a clear Perspex lid and plain glass bottle.

The fragrance seems to be a counterfeit. It is the 100ml EDP but performs like the weakest EDT you could possibly imagine – flat, weak floral water utterly devoid of any presence at all and lasting no more than 20 minutes then gone without a trace.I’ve just contacted the retailer for a refund and await their reply. I also sent a message, as Aaron did, to Coty to ask if this bottle was genuine or counterfeit. They did not reply to him, maybe I’ll be lucky and I will update if I hear anything. Aaron also mentioned looking at reviews on Amazon UK, which I did. There are numerous reviews doubting the authenticity of this fragrance; apparently they initially removed it then brought it back again.

Last week I was in Chemist Warehouse (Australia) testing this out, which is what prompted me to purchase it. The tester bottle had chrome on its sides and a chromed lid. The fragrance on the tester strip is what convinced me to buy it, such a beauty! Simple composition and yet so deep and rich. No comparison whatsoever. And the performance! It had a reasonable sillage - nothing overpowering - but was detectable fully 3 days on the tester strip. What I received today bore no resemblance – it’s a travesty that they’re selling it as Beauty.

I intend to get the genuine article as soon as I can and will possibly buy a back-up. Be wary of what you buy.

Sadly it's a no for me. I was really looking forward to this, but it was just headache inducing and surprisingly too sweet. To me this smells like an oldschool floral

Ferra_Verto

Very simple, sweet, and straightfoward fragrance. Fresh jasmine, with a nice well-rounded finish from the ambrette. This is a perfect summer scent; linen dress, sandals, chic sunglasses, pretty purse. Definite purchase.

LauraB425

This didn't wow me on its own, but I just sprayed some Gucci Bloom Gocce di fiori on top of it, and the two jasmines play off of one another beautifully! I love natural jasmine, but not heavily indolic, and these two together are heaven, as each brings out the best in the other. SO glad I held onto the CK Beauty a little longer ~ I'm about to fall asleep smelling my own wrist, and I anticipate sweet dreams . . .

AdrianaCatLover

Delicious fragrance that dries down to a softer version of Mugler’s Alien . Unlike Alien , this is a skin scent .

annasarahr121

CK Beauty is an interesting perfume! I love jasmine, and it is certainly a light jasmine scent, but maybe it's the musk mallow/ambrette that gives it such an interesting, almost vegetal, note. Judging by the notes, it is a very simple scent -- but that mallow (I'm guessing...) brings such an interesting and, to me, pleasant note to the drydown. I don't think it's big in sillage -- but not nonexistent either -- and will test its longevity on my skin. Although it's a low-key scent, it's a little strange. Luckily, it's not very expensive, if you wind up not loving it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CK Beauty has seriously grown on me! There are actually nights when I CRAVE it. That being said, I wear this one only at night, to bed. I've never worn it during the day, or out of the house; maybe it's too simple or too intimate? I also only wear a totally different scent, Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds -- which always seems a little over-the-top and obscene -- at home and to bed, too! I tend to wear powerhouse perfumes, though, during the day (think Agent Provocateur, Rumba, or Estee Lauder Knowing), so Beauty seems too sweet and pure to wear out and about because, maybe, it lacks the formality of, say, Elie Saab Le Parfum -- also sweet and pure like CK Beauty, but more sculptural or elegant. But, all this being said, I love Beauty and plan to keep it in my collection (can see how I'll be needing to buy a new bottle soon...).

middle25

Such a gorgeous, graceful fragrance, simple and not too sweet. It's jasmine all day with this one so as long as you like that note, you will like this. It's very versatile, can be worn all year round. It's a tasteful, clean scent because there aren't too many notes to muddle it. I agree with princessbee - I can see this as a wedding day fragrance. I get moderate sillage and longevity.

princessbee

I think that this perfume is beautiful. It's understated and elegant but very feminine. To me, it's one of those perfumes that is suitable for any occasion from work to dates to special events such as a wedding.

I love the jasmine note in this and I love the fact that it smells warm soft and elegant but not overly floral.

This perfume lasts well on me - around 6 hours which I'm happy with, especially considering that this was pretty inexpensive.

mandy_suraj

It is simple and it works if you are after simple. But I have it and I do not know how to finish the bottle. I get jasmine is a part of many scents but this is just jasmine. It smelt better from the nozzle. And looking at the recent reviews, it seems there are others who agree. I bought it once, but most likely will not buy it again. Lucky it was not expensive.

Alinany

This is just pure jasmine. Gives me the worst headaches.
Nothing wrong with it, it is nice if you are looking for a clean Jasmine perfume but God i couldnt survive the misery this perfume put me through
Writing this review aching in my bed, never again CK

Gül Türe

I'm not a fan but it's a beautiful Jasmine perfume. I think it is suitable for all seasons. it just doesn't suit my skin well. It has a slightly narcotic smell and I don't like it. I don't think I'll buy it again.

Wacaz

Loved it. Opening is so sexy and seductive. At this price i don't think many will mind reapplying it frequently.
Moderate sillage and longevity.
Great price value.

spellbownt

pure scent, i can feel every note in it. also a very cute and kind scent.

i am only sixteen and i dont regret buying it, only two problems. first is this scent doesnt have sillage and i mean it. as long as someone doesnt hug you or stick their nose to your neck to sniff it they cant smell it. sometimes even you cant smell it. and then second, this doesnt fit my style.

- 4 to 6 hours of lasting BUT no sillage.
- pure and soft scent, really calming, something you can identify with a elder figure, but not like a selfless mother stereotype, like someone who is with you until the end of time.
- woody enough to be a unisex scent, not too feminine.
- it can be easily a "light academia aesthetic" type of scent

correspondencepersonal

This is gorgeous the longer it wears.
It has the exact same dry down that the original Alien has, only an expert could really tell the difference in the dry down phase.

Although Alien starts out much more "purple",
Beauty starts out more fresh, crisp, spa-like.

It is really fabulous with my chemistry!
Love this one!
Fresh, spa-like.

This is not overtly sexy, it is something that you could easily wear to school, the office, and business meetings without being too over powering. This one is confident, adds an air of success, is clean and fresh.

(The wood in this is reported to be Virginia Cedar - but some other reviews say Birch.)

------------

Perplexed by this one. This is one of those perfumes that I tested for years and finally purchased, rationalizing that it was still a fairly economical purchase because it is a reasonably priced perfume. I bought this around the holidays last year and rationalized that it was a "Christmas Gift to Myself! LOL...

I bought it, then it has sat there, in the box. Although I love the bottle and the spray - for some reason, this perfume is not being used. It is just sitting there - in my drawer. I love the smell of this, but not for my skin.

I love certain aspects of this perfume, then --- I start to analyze why I reach for other perfumes before this one -- I come to the understanding that this is slightly a bit more masculine than my favorite feminine perfumes. The cedar in this one is grounding - and I love that smell, this smells exactly like a high end dry sauna in a spa or gym. Although I love this smell, this is not my first pick of perfumes for a signature. To me, this smells more like aromatherapy for a room, because it does not have enough of a sensual vibe that would make this super attractive on the skin. There is a slight smokiness to the cedar/birch which gives it an atmosphere as if you are outdoors very close to the edge of a great forest. This smokiness is not like a forest fire, but more like a cedar/birch which is heating up in the summer sun a bit more than most years. This emits a raw smokiness quality that smells like an authentic outdoorsy experience... like a hike.

I like this perfume, I could see that this would be super attractive on the right person that fits this type of vibe... but I don't feel that I have enough "out-doors-iness" to pull this one off fully. This is more for the girl that wears plaid flannel shirts and a back pack more easily. Someone who feels confident hiking for hours each week. That isn't me, exactly - although I like shorter hikes on occasion... I'm not so "out-door-sy" that this is a super great fit for a signature perfume for me.

This perfume could be worn by men that like a lighter cologne smell, one that is outdoorsy and fresh. It does have that unisex quality about it, which makes if smell as if it is on the cusp of feminine/masculine.

Although a really nice authentic smell -- it lacks that aesthetic quality that draws you in for a closer hug, or to turn on your heels and take the time to ask someone "what perfume are you wearing". Although nice, perfectly balanced, and spa-like -- it lacks that "alluring" quality that would make it a perfume that I would choose to wear for a signature perfume.

I love the smell of cypress more than cedar/birch...
I think this perfume is close, but that there would be a woods smell that would be even better for me -- and that may be cypress. IDK - I will have to sample some cypress perfumes to figure this out... but it is just a hunch for now.

Reassessment -
Wow. Just simply WOW!
Ok, well - I rattled on and on about why I am not wearing this perfume - and it is sitting in its box, unused. Then I did a test sample - and wore this throughout the day.

The dry down of this perfume is simply GORGEOUS with my chemistry -
It takes awhile to arrive at this point, but when it does - this is simply MAGICAL - and DIVINE!

Ok, so don't be too hard on this the first hour or so of wear. This is a warm up to the magic that actually happens later.

Yes, this perfume is ultra feminine and really hits a euphoric point - in the dry down. The start of this is slightly unisex/a little bit more masculine than what I am typically drawn to in a signature perfume. However, the final dry down to this perfume is worth the wait.

This has moved up to my favorite drawer.
This has "signature potential" - without a doubt.
It is a very beautiful perfume - without being overtly romantic or sexy.
A soul-like, spa-like scent - that just eminates BEAUTY!

-------------

Another perfume that is slightly similar but perhaps more feminine - is Natalie Woods, which was a dedication by Natalie Woods' daughters. What a sweet gesture for their mother. Natalie Woods is more of a white floral perfume. I really like that perfume, just wish that it lasted longer. It is fresh, clean, floral - very pretty and feminine...but only lasts about an hour and a half to two hours, max -- on my skin.

-------------

Verdict:

This perfume is a hit with younger men.
I was offered a free tea and a young man came up to me and offered to carry my stuff to the table. This perfume is not overtly sexy, in any way - just clean, fresh, it smells a bit like high end soap at times...but eminates a DIVINE type Aura about it - like a God-Goddess-Divinity, simply other worldly, but fabulously human too.

The more that I have worn this, the more that I am liking this. It took about a week of wear to really appreciate all of the different phases that this perfume goes into throughout the day's wear. The dry down of this particular perfume is just so gorgeous. It is a WOW, most definitely!

I love this when it hits the Dry Down Phase!
It is heaven on earth in that phase!
Scrumptiously Beautiful!
I can see where they came up with its name - "Beauty"!

guimaraesalves

On my skin it smells quite similar to Avon's Rare Flowers - Night Orchid. A pleasant aquatic/white floral scent.

gtabasso

More complicated than three notes. A balsamic floral. Like a vintage floral combined with a modern tonka fragrance. Very floral with white musk, light woods, some pepper I think because it sneezed me, and tonka or something like benzoin in a way. But that is actually in the top. This gets more floral as it goes. A winner for the price.

KittyDeBeauvoir

100% Fence-Sitter Review:

I have avoided reviewing this for the past 6 months I've had the bottle because I just - DON'T KNOW!

These simple three notes creates a slightly dated fragrance. Like, this would not be out of place from straight smack-bang in the middle of the 90s. Overall, this...confuses me.
I think it's because they've blended FRESH jasmine with a WARM/COZY ambrette and woody scent, i.e. it tries to be both warm AND refreshing.
This results in a Mumsy scent of mid-90s nostalgic confusion. I picture a stay-at-home Mum with long hair who paints in the home studio in her over-sized white button-down shirt and pale-blue jeans before she picks up her kids in her 4WD to take them to soccer practice. Man, I'm painting such a picture for you here, aren't I (#pun)?

I don't fricken know! My review is to tell you I'm confused, and sitting on the fence with this. I think it's safe to say you can probably tell that.
*shakes head with self-disgust*

Ok, I have to give this perfume credit, because I can't explain the things that have happened recently (other than deciding to wear this particular perfume for the past week). I walked into a local restaurant, the attendant there takes my order, - then offers me a free iced tea while waiting. I go to pick up my order, and a young man comes up behind me and offers to help me take my drink and food to the table. (No, he wasn't someone hired by the restaurant, just a teenage boy that looked like he had a crush on me).

What????
What's going on?
New makeup, no - not really... perhaps I'm improving some techniques --
But the real shift has been trying this perfume.
This perfume resonates with more of a clean burning - just out of the shower, soapy type freshness... which I have always liked, but I've always been so caught up with wanting to have a perfume that projects well (like the 80's perfumes) that I have sometimes completely side stepped the softer, more natural type perfumes.

This is the type of perfume essence that my junior high self would have liked. This is soft, musky, pretty - and natural... this smells as if you are capturing a scenic walk in nature... fresh, pretty, casual -- soulful. This is not overly floral or extremely feminine - this could be considered "unisex" - but the dry down of this perfume goes very sweet and feminine with my skin.

I bought this perfume as a late birthday - early Christmas present. Had been looking at it for years, then finally - when Covid Quarantine was happening... I decided to spring for a bottle of this. The price is right, this is a reasonable perfume...you get a lot of juice for your money. The bottle is beautiful and has an other worldly type - space age modern vibe to it - especially by backlit candlelight.

I bought the bottle, it sat there - in its box, unused.
Why? Because it lacks the 1980's power house appeal that I normally resonate with - in perfumes. This is out of my typical range. Something just on the edge of being a little too soft, a bit too natural, and less bold than I typically wear.

This is beautiful on, particularly when you make it through the first 40 min - hour of wear. It takes on more of a musky type vibe in the dry down - that is just heavenly. So pretty. The more that I wear this one, the more I appreciate it. It is really soulful, there is something about this that is truly divine!

--------------

Spa type blend with a trio of ingredients -- Jasmin, Virginia Cedar (Birch was first listed as an ingredient, but apparently Frantica.com updated this to Virginia Cedar), Musk... a limited palette compared to many of the other fragrances which have a more complex structure. These combined ingredients create an aroma that most closely resembles "spruce", to my nose. The overall essence of this is peaceful, tranquil, clean, fresh, organized, and would send a message in business that you are clear headed, focused, and on track.

Because Beauty has fewer ingredients, it may be easier to blend with other notes, if you are into fragrance layering and mixing. There is a minty freshness about this one that really draws me in. The Jasmin and Birch notes mix with the musk with a silage that dances on the skin, particularly the longer this wears on the skin. This is classically simple, very few ingredients - but really does SOMETHING with my chemistry, particularly the longer this wears!

Some have called this a softer version of Alien, so if you are drawn to musk scents - this definitely may be something you will want to try. I tried these two side by side and although they both start with their own personalities, notes, and identities (Alien is decidedly more purple, grape, plum in the beginning -- and CK's Beauty is more spruce) - in the dry down, both Alien and CK's Beauty are extremely close and so "identical" that you could barely tell the two apart.

---------

My first hint that I should try this, came several years before this was even invented. My signature fragrance of that day and time was "Beautiful" by Estee Lauder. My boyfriend at that time would hug me - and would say "Beauty", because he couldn't remember that it was actually called "Beautiful".

This was tucked away in my memory, so when Calvin Klein introduced "Beauty" - I was very curious what this smelled like and set off on a quest to do a spritz to see if it was similar to "Beautiful" - and to also see if it went with my chemistry.

(Although the name Beauty and Beautiful are quite similar -- Calvin Klein's Beauty EDP is totally different than EL's Beautiful EDP - they are two separate things, entirely. They are both great signature fragrances. Both classically elegant and lovely choices! Calvin Klein's Beauty is more of a clean, modern, spa aroma -- and Estee Lauder's Beautiful is a field of flowers.)

------------

Chemistry in perfume is equivalent to location, Location, LOCATION -
in Real Estate.
What one person may classify as merely the scent of a drawer liner, sheet spray, or room spray - comes alive on another's skin, given that they have the right chemistry.

When I first spray this, the first hours seemed uneventful, even routine, a bit boring.
But don't call this quits just yet.
In the final dry down - the musk and multifaceted layers --
COME TO LIFE!

So gorgeous that I believe this will be in the running as a new Signature Fragrance! I'm just now beginning to sample and test more Jasmin based fragrances - the Birch and Musk elements make this Jasmin more modern and fresh.

Yes!
Truly Awesome!

--------

Plot Twist - 10/10 -- This started off a bit ordinary, nothing really special. Just when I was about to rinse and scrub this off, it began blending incredibly well with my own chemistry - tuning into this delightful broth.

I just ordered this as a belated birthday gift to me, early Christmas gift to me.
The price is more reasonable - and is now a smart buy.
This is definitely one that gets better the longer that it is on the skin.

There is a cool, minty freshness about this that is definitely growing on me! This is fresh, modern composition. I like the simplicity of the bottle, it is elegant and definitely fits the aroma of the perfume!

Some may say this is best used as a linen, bed sheet, or drawer spray -- but let me just say, if it wasn't truly GREAT they wouldn't want their clothing to smell like this - and they sure wouldn't want to roll around on this in their bed sheets! Several reviews mentioned that they were using this as a linen, closet, drawer spray -- I have tried this, and it actually works perfect for this purpose. It gives your closet and drawers an aroma like they are housed in a cedar lined closet.

Certain foods and spices interact with our chemistry to create our own unique chemistry composition. Whatever it is... this fragrance really comes to LIFE in the final dry down. It blends incredibly well with my body's pH. Amazing chemistry!

Truly Magical!
Love it!

THIS is REALLY GOOD,
the longer this wears on the skin -
it definitely moves into GREAT!
Thank you Calvin Klein!

-------------

A few days into wearing this -
This is clean, fresh, spa-like --
It has some elements of Calvin Klein's "Escape" - however, this is more modern and much softer.

Although I really enjoy the chemistry and smell of this as it wears on my skin, this fragrance lacks an element of sensual appeal which would make it more romantic or sexy.

Perfumes send a subconscious message.
As there are certain outfits that you would wear on date night -
vs something that you'd wear to the office, this perfume sets a tone of fresh and clean without there being a note in it that would lead someone on,
if you were not romantically interested.

This is why it is important to have several different fragrances in your wardrobe. You need variety. This perfume is casual, but chic...it could be worn for any number of occasions. It doesn't send a strong message that this is flirty, provocative, or sexy.

Clean, Fresh, Spa Perfume - 10/10

Office Scent - 8/10 - This is great for someone working in a profession where they do not want you to wear a strong perfume/cologne. This is NOT a "power" fragrance, this is more on the side of "clinical" and "fresh" - like someone who is working in the medical field. It is not medicinal, but the spa-like quality of it is incredibly FRESH.

Alluring, Sexy, Date Night - 0/10 -
Neutral; This is not going to heat things up. This is fresh without being alluring - in any way.

------------------

Bottle Design -

Modern, Zen, Simple (not that I feel that every bottle of perfume should aspire to these adjectives, because there are bottle designs that fit other fragrances with different designs, however - this bottle fits the fragrance, the juice, very well).

I knew that there was something special about this bottle design when I first saw it. It is Zen-like. However, there is an "INNER LIGHT" that comes forth when it is back lit with light shining through the bottle. This is the first perfume bottle that I've seen that has this type of beautiful reflective light. The light shape points like an arrow - moving forward...at times looking like a wish bone. Very beautiful design, itself - before discovering this "Inner Light" phenomena. But after discovering the gorgeous reflective light shining through the bottle in this manner, this makes it all the more special!

I love this! This is pretty AWESOME!

------------

I would like to see them make an INTENSE Version of this...
Something that has bolder silage and really good longevity, without making the perfume smell like it is too strong, too bold. I think this is really light for me, however, I really love this perfume ON. There is definitely something to this one. It has the right amount of freshness and musk... I would just like to have it project a bit more - and last longer without feeling the need to respray or refresh.

YesVeruca

I suppose calling this ‘Generic White Flower Fragrance’ didn’t fit with the CK aesthetic so they decided to call this Beauty instead. Best suited as a linen and drawer spray.

kkaattjjeess

Blind bought this a while ago, and whilst I do like this perfume, I usually just end up spraying my bed sheets with it, because I have about 20 other perfumes that I prefer to smell like. Beauty is a stunning floral-soapy-powdery comforting scent. Selling mine, so if anyone from the UK is interested in owning this, message me please.

Seaworthy

Discovering different perfumes is so interesting! At times disappointing, frustrating even, but much more often it's extremely satisfying! I am often mystified by how a fragrance performs differently during weather changes, or to my nose the fragrance can be determined as good or bad depending upon my mood at the time. Memories are evoked by the whiff of a scent. I purchased a bottle of Beauty a few months ago and I did not like it. On first spray it was over powering, almost stuffy. I wore it a couple of times since then. Still, nope, not a match. Then tonight I was about to go to bed, I grabbed it and sprayed inside each elbow and MAGIC happened! It is beautiful! The ambrette is warm and powdery, the jasmine is fragrant and sweet, and the cedar rounds it out into this warm powdery heavenly scent. The first few times that I wore it I sprayed Beauty with abandon and I was overwhelmed, tonight I applied two sprays and it's wonderful. Perhaps less is more here.

jule9

Elegant, feminine in a very traditional way, uplifting and intense. It has a good projection and longevity for a CK perfume - sometimes I even catch a whiff of it on the street and know that someone is wearing it. It's warm without being cloying, pure jasmine.

mariceltroitino

Powdery, linear, VERY "jasminey" fragrance. Smells beautifully, truly, and the name fits it perfectly. It's as if it were beauty in a bottle. Despite it being marketed towards older women, I think it's actually nicer for younger ones. It is very "perfumey" and 90s, and can be overwhelming if one sprays too much so I don't reach it for often. It is also something I'd only wear in spring and during the daytime, but that's just me and I agree on its versatility. I still think it is one of CK's best creations, though, even if it's nothing complex or out there. It is a simple beautiful fragrance that I can appreciate, even if it is not necessarily what I want to smell like. I agree that is bridal, but also work appropriate. Somewhat luminous (but also sharp) and decently long-lasting. Good sillage.

Queen of torts

Beautiful, clean, floral and somewhat bridal. 1st bottle was a gift which I wore mainly to work. Was happy to find another bottle years later and then a gift set (my backup). Makes me feel like a timeless beauty.

eostrix

Although it´s rather floral I didn´t find it my cup of tea and I don´t even know why. Maybe it was a little bit sharper and I´m used with rather soft and feminine fragrances. Definitely this kind of fragrance that may not be suitable for everyone. Try few times before buying.

nonrom

gorgeous casual perfume, and very inexpensive in Australia

On me, this is lovely light jasmine with an ozoneic vibe, very aquatic.

I love this for daytime wear, it's mild but sophisticated, and I'm loving jasmine at the moment. It's a more complex scent than many simpler jasmines out there, which makes me feel sophisticated but feminine when wearing this.

Longevity and sillage are decent, but I'll try amping up the sillage by layering with other jasmines.

LilAggi

Hard to find; I bought mine on eBay. My opinion of the scent vacillates. Sometimes I like it and find wearing it very calming somehow, and sometimes it's too "heavy"... It's definitely very floral and mature.

Eternity Girl

Wow I love Beauty. Clean but lush. It feels completely 'White'. Rich, Lush Bright White Jasmine, White Musk and White Woods (if that's a real thing) but this is what comes to mind. I love it!! Its quite linear in its development with the only change on my skin being it gets sweeter. Flower bouquet sweet (not sugar sweet).
I wore my first 30ml constantly until finished. Where I worked at the time was extremely toxic and I would spray a cloud of Beauty around me, straighten my invisible tiara and make it a good day.
And I love to wear this straight after a shower. It feels luxurious and calming. So lovely. An absolute winner in my world.

AaronStar

Smells like a stale bathroom, pee the jasmine and poo the cedar..very urinal jasmine, smells like an unwashed toilet filled with loads of urine and some feces.

MsElise

I adore Beauty, and wish it were still in production. Elegant, fresh yet warm. Sparkling. Perfect for all seasons....perhaps too rich if over-applied in hot summer. But the cedar and ambrette make this a jasmine scent that has enough character and staying power to work in the colder months too. Its very ladylike, but not boring and unlike most anything I've smelled. Despite what others might say, its unusual in its brightness/groundedness....if that makes sense. Usually rich means heavy and sweet, and fresh means light and green. It gives me all the scents I love without being muddled. Complex, gorgeous. Perhaps linear only in the sense that the fragrance doesnt morph and change...but after developing just gives a continuous layered, balanced, elegant jasmine/wood/amber/x factor (rich lady elegance haha).
And oddly enough...it vaguely reminds me of My Little Pony from the early 80s! I'm guessing the plastic they used was gently scented? Ha. Oh well....mayne the sense memory is partly why I love it.

justfloral

Very hard to review because I can't pick up any single note. It is just very clean. No flowers, no fruits. It smells like musk (ambrette) with some woody note added (similar with sandalwood). "Clean laundry" and "second skin" type of perfume, it reminds me scent of ironed clothes or kind of luxury soap.

raiza1990

I wrote a review for this fragrance some days ago, but Fragrantica had a bug and deleted it o.0 anyways, here we go again:
The opening is a bit sharp, but soon it turns into a nice clean and green scent, in the style of Paradiso from Roberto Cavalli. It also has the same vibe as Women also from CK, but Women is better. This scent is pleasant but in no way remarkable. It's a good option if you're looking for something discreet and balanced. Something casual chic.
Final note: 6/10

mevans

I bought this when it first came out almost 10 years ago and have always had it in my collection. It's a simple, elegant, classy, feminine floral you can't go wrong with anywhere you want to wear it. I enjoy unique and edgy scents but there is something to be said for a perfume that is appropriate for any situation. I don't call that boring. It's one of my go-to's when I'm not sure what to wear because it's always perfect.

octobertragedy

One of the best "clean" type scents I've ever tried. Unique and feminine. I Love it! I get beautiful jasmine, peppery grapefruit and algae-aquatic notes. Again, one of the best I've tried.
It shares that same energetic DNA of CK's Eternity (the original) which is in my top 5 favorites fragrances ever. If you like Eternity, you will find Beauty at least interesting.
This fragrance carries CK's well known signature, you can tell by far. That fresh, unisex, minimalist, urban vibes, that made the house so popular.
At first, I was not very keen about the name, but then realized it was very well chosen. A simple word, endless meanings, apparently simple scent, endless accords.

JustSimpleThings

I really like this scent! Clean, simple elegant, as the name says: it's a true beauty! Definitely office appropriate, but it would be good for a date or night out as well.

kayleenanncooke

I get a lot of cedar from this and I love love love it.

kayleenanncooke

Hate me or not alien does not smells good to me. I tried to give it a chance. I blind bought it and this. This on the other hand is a beautiful Jasmine. It does not smell grapey or syrupy to me. It is not cloying. This is so beautiful and pleasing. Alien is way too much grape. And I hate anything grape flavored.

HOUSTONHOUSTON

Crowd pleaser. Feminine. Floral. I like it. Good juice at a good price for someone who use 1 bottle of perfume. If you are a perfume junkie, nothing to hunt for here.

Sassy1

Beauty is a 90's throwback scent. The top and middle are identical to Nicole Miller Nicole Miller.

After a couple of hours, I get a smoky cedar drydown.

That's about it. I'm not excited......

perfumeaddiction

I just yanked this one out of my perfume arsenal box. You know the box I am talking about. It's the one filled with the "I am kind of simple and boring yet my owner won't throw me away" box.

I rifled through my poor collection of wanna be's and decided to grab this one. Funny how your taste can change. This really is a super clean jasmine scent that is very well done. I tucked it away because it was rather simple and safe and I wanted something at the time that was different. But now that this has had time to sit and I have had time to experiment in many various scents I feel like I gave Beauty an unfair shake. Perhaps it's because 2010 has come and gone just like the popularity of this when it first came out. I don't smell it anymore. It's no longer boring and simple.

In today's 89 degree heat it's refreshing to my nose. I always got Tuberose in this even though Jasmine is listed. I guess it's because it's a clean Jasmine and not that skanky kind. For such a cheapo she's got great silage and lasting power. Glad I did not chuck this one. Note to self: Go through reject box and give them another chance.

tittertat

Wow weve got some perfumes snobbery going on...!
What can I say, jasmine is tricky for me as its often too bubblegum or too skanky indoluc.
This one, much like A la Nuit, us just right. The ambrette gives a pleasant hazy feel and the cedar almost comes across as sandalwood to my nose.
I dont plan on buying for a while this is hopefully my last purchase for a few months. I wore it a few summers ago with a pretty orange dress so in my mind i associate this with saffron/ orange and sunsets.

susan1326

I love wearing this in the spring/summer with a white shirt and jeans, minimalist jewelry and espadrilles. It is the essence of relaxed femininity.

Rosemary14

This is very reminiscent of many Calvin Klein scent’s in that it’s understated, quiet, modern, and a little aloof. They remind me of a calm, quiet, still, lake in personality. Sort of watery, distant and minimalist. They smell a bit flat in character to me. What I mean by that is they don’t sparkle and they aren’t exactly full and round or voluptuous. Like very still water. This is uncomplicated and the scent hits me further back in my nose. This is an understated jasmine. This jasmine is modest and clean. Not fleshy and indolic like you find in A La Nuit or Lust at all. It’s not sweet in fact it smells vague to me. If you’d told me this was another flower I’d believe it. Many people are saying that they get Lily and I think I might agree. I’m starting to understand that I like corpulent, round, fat, enveloping, heady, jasmine with some skank on it. This isn’t a strong floral at all. So, if you have trouble with floral you may like this tamed version of a floral. I get a ton of cedar in this with added smoothness coming from the musk mallow. If you love cedar then you might really like this fragrance. It’s definitely office safe. It’s a little too polite for me. I find it very unisex.

Update: The cedar and musk mallow is really dialing up on my skin after a hour of dry down and I’m enjoying it. It’s one of those scents that gets stronger as it dries down. It’s a like for me. I know some of you boy’s and squirrel’s really love this. Buy it at TJ Maxx. I picked this up today for $16.00!

Sabretoothkitten

Wow reviews are so varied! It's been compared to so many scents, none of which I think I agree with. But that's ok our noses are unique.
I think it smells like Indian Night Jasmine + Samsara + light musk. To me the wood is def sandalwood. Not as cloying as many woody scents can be. The jasmine is fresh.
Nice, polite and good for many occasions. Will behave in hot weather.
I imagine this as a burnt orange color.

rissy200

Pleasant white floral with an aura of simple elegance. It's a calm and feminine fragrance good for everyday wear in the spring or summertime.

PerfumeEmpress

This gorgeous scent lives up to its name. On me, this is creamy, elegant, delightful. It's also beautifully balanced. Love it!

Kon-nos91

Ideal dose of not indolic jasmine, so you can call it a bit synthetic white floral creaminess with soft musk touches. The woody base hugs this simple combination although it doesn’t last that much and I really like the name, it’s a true beauty! Not very experienced with CK perfumes, though they are crowd pleasure and I can see why. I am looking forward to experience the Euphoria family as you all call it more seductive. I don’t think Beauty is a mature one but definitely a calm one. It screams serenity, femininity and simplicity, all these characteristics that make a woman classy, strong, clean. To end with, what I dislike is the soapy ending but what I really like is the safe blind buy or gifting idea that would please almost everyone...

HOUSTONHOUSTON

Simple, pretty, feminine, inoffensive, affordable.
Safe blind buy.
If you are a perfumista, you probably will be bored.

Tine1world

Beaute' has a fizzy 'Fruit Tingle' odour on my skin, it's a wonderful modern fragrance with a slight liquorice tinge, if one can call it that? adding to the overall projection of this fragrance.
Lovely bottle with great sillage albeit subtle yet noticeable and just a wonderful scent that maintains it's composition well into 10 hours plus. It's light yet wafts of this fragrance emerge on the breeze from time to time. So YES.
I find 'Beaute' to be an inoffensive clean fragrance well suited to the tropics in which I currently reside. I find 'Beaute' uplifting and quite frankly I can't think of any other fragrance that I have enjoyed similar to this.
It amazes me that with three notes a fragrance such as 'Beaute' can be created. I am happy with my purchase as it was blind and compared to other design houses inexpensive. $40.00 aussie dollars for a 100 mill flacon...
I have very little access to sample fragrances here in my midget town, a small Chemist Warehouse which stocks jack shit, and a Priceline, however Priceline will order in, still I am restricted to what's in stock, ordering online or fluctuating prices from the local chemist's...
I'm happy with this purchase though, and I can see myself using this fragrance up quickly as I do indeed like 'Beaute' very much.

Preeti77

I just love this delicate White floral, musky fragrance which is very suitable for summers and daytime .The white floral predominates and the musk is subdued which makes it a very beautiful fragrance .Confident but not too bold.Feminine but not overtly romantic.

The fragrance is not over powering and it is the Jasmine that hit me first but in a delicate way not a sharp one.The Ambrette comes into play soon and after about 30 minutes the cedar surfaces but the jasmine stays for long on me .

Beautiful bottle too - a classic fragrance but as with most CK perfumes - low sillage and low staying power.

violetbelle

I have to try hard to not shower in Beauty. It surpassed my hopes and expectations for a dreamy jasmine & cedar union, with, I daresay, perfect sillage and longevity. And, it just makes me happy. Clean, alluring, strong in the sense of having a backbone rather than being overpowering or what others might consider masculine (not that there's anything wrong with that;).

AaronStar

Smells new, uplifting, like a new perfume, reminds me of fashion magazine samples of the 90's very CK if you can vision it, sometimes it feels like an adult version of mennen for babies.

The jasmine is very prominent, it is the same jasmine in j'dore, the cedar is virginian, it is strong, at times overpowering and governs the dry down, bitter and masculine, the ambrette is versatile sometimes strong sometimes soft, from a man's embrace to a babies hug, musky. The metallic scent of ambrette is also there, it is what gives its modern feel, metallic sweet jasmine with a bitter, masculine cedarwood.

Compared to j'dore this is bittersweet jasmine, woody and masculine, or perhaps more appropriately, serious, serious or sober. Overall its great, there is so much to like as there are no others like it, it makes you feel special, new, it does smell like a new perfume type of scent, not old-fashioned at all. It is beautiful, modern, delicate, embracing masculine facets inside for women who enjoy them.

Metallic, sweet jasmine in a woody, musky, bitter cedar box.

chaneldior

I'm really shocked by the amount of positive reviews for this fragrance. For me it smells like Dove soap. Nothing less, nothing more, just basic soap...

GardeniaLover

This has more cedar than it seems on the votes. A very masculine and strong cedar, like smelling a man and his embrace, he's embracing you, you are his jasmine and he is your cedar, protecting you... romantic, unisex, sensual.
Beautiful perfume, lovely jasmine and cedar freshness.

AmazingPerfumes

Is it Jasmine of Calla lily? There maybe some Jasmine in it, but mostly Lily I would say.

shusha

Jasmine bomb! This is a very potent fragrance with jasmine so prominent that it sports a bit of a vintage vibe. It is probably one of those perfumes you walk into rather than spray on yourself. I was really hoping for a much stronger cedar which would have contoured the jasmine and made it more crisp and fresh, but all I could detect is jasmine so so much jasmine and no cedar, which is why it smelled vintage to me. Not really my thing, even though I absolutely adore jasmine.

sjcita

I just wanted to let raluu know that in the U.S. Calvin Klein Beauty is in TJMaxx and probably Marshall's too. I just saw it at my local TJMaxx an hour ago.

raluu

My first brand perfume and still in love with it!
I feel jasmine and flowers, without being heady and yet not dull or weak.
Sadly I cannot find it anymore in stores...

Coffee_Girl

This is EXTREME beauty.

Listen to the reviews below me that says you need to spray this modestly to get the full effect. I am a chronic over-sprayer and I was so overwhelmed and grossed out when i first got this.

Fast forward 6 weeks, I was in a hurry so I grabbed this off my shelf...i only had a chance to do 2 spays and OMG...it was the best 2 sprays of my perfume experience haha.

This is incredibly epic and blows every one of my favorite fragrances out of the water. The spices and jasmine is soooo dreamy and romantic, I spent that whole day smelling myself...it is so beautiful, it can bring tears to my eyes. The passion for perfume is still alive!!! YES Beauty is appropriately named.

Just only spray 1 or 2, trust me, it makes a huge difference.

juniemoon

Simply lovely. Stays close to you, but you are aware of it on yourself for a long time. Subtlety beautiful and elegant. The ambrette seed gives it the hint of mystery. I know there is no sandalwood in the composition but I seem to sense a bit of its oiliness (in the best way) somewhere in this.

PricklyAndHot

Not the best jasmine in perfume world.

fragrancy07

This is inoffensive perfume. I used this 100 ml bottle already, It is a nice fragrance but not my favorite. I wont repurchase it.

bombekmateya

I'm shocked by its longevity, it really is beauty on a bottle! Its sad, but we didnt find eachother ..

moni_moni

Perfume got on holiday in December :) I have it so far, I have wanted it for a long time, because I liked it very much, it is very strong, maybe I do not feel it anymore, because I got used to the smell, but I often hear eg you have a nice perfume that you use, etc. Maybe not everyone likes his fragrance, because
it is very expressive and I would say that it can irritate. However, I love such fragrances. One of my favorite perfumes! I recommend.

felicite34

While I do like this one, at times the jasmine becomes very urine-y on my skin and I can't wear it. I think due to certain weather. Maybe it has been too humid, it is summer here and we are having very hot weather. Weird.

izermeno21

I was given this perfume for my high school graduation. I was 18 at the time and I truly loved the scent, very flowery and long lasting! It really made me feel like a “BEAUTY” . Now that I’m 25 I smelled it again and I think that it’s too strong for me! Lol it still a good scent and I do recommend.

Cathped

Sweet floral, pleasant, light. Inoffensive. Casual. Lily?

Lamia D

Pure jasmine.. Heavy at first, but its dry down is soft and smooth. Amazing one if you prefer floral notes.

Nuitdenoel

While I strongly like a lot of perfumes on first spray, I rarely LOVE them. I love Beauty! It’s been on my blind buy list for a long time and I finally got it today. My favorite is the opening, which smells like honeysuckle to me but I also like the drydown. Cedar can go very wrong on me - it can go sour or completely overwhelm me, but this works wonderfully well here. It never goes sour or too cedary in the drydown. It just gradually gets a little deeper and darker and fades away.

I am pretty sure this perfume can be worn anywhere. Nothing is harsh or hard to wear. The jasmine goes through a stage where it gets creamy and almost tropical on me, which was an unexpected delight. Highly recommended for an easy to wear, gorgeous perfume.

shellapoo

This perfume surely lives up to its name. I first tried CK's Sheer Beauty, and after falling head-over-heels in love with that incredible fragrance, I decided I had to try this one. I am overwhelmed by its beauty, from the first spritz until it fades to a skin scent after about two hours on my skin. I see the notes listed there, but my nose is not picking up anything specific...just the most lush, soft, gorgeous flowers on a fresh, crisp Spring day. This is one solution to a long and difficult day. Remember, those of you who are old enough to have seen the commercials in the 80's for Calgon bath salts...every commercial was a woman in the middle of a busy, tiring day picturing in her mind the way she plans to regain her sanity...with a luxurious, solitary bath, away from her kids and in the privacy and quiet of her bathtub, loaded with Calgon, of course. At some point in every commercial she would cry out "Calgon, take me away! When I spray this intoxicating juice on, immediately I am catapulted in my mind to my safe and comfortable place. I can hear the birdsong and I am surrounded by greenery. I am leisurely walking around in a garden labyrinth filled with neatly trimmed hedges. I am purposely lost- so I can enjoy this fragrance and the silence to the full. This fragrance seems to be the floral wreath I'm wearing on my head. Luscious flowers, with the slightly detectable woods hiding, as if the wreath was constructed from the flowers onto a wooden wreath. I would highly recommend this beauty to anyone who loves a truly floral perfume. It is a heavy hitter on the flower radar, but that is exactly what I love about it. This one is definitely a keeper!

Atreyu_Crimmins

Here's the deal. I have reviewed this twice already, but the reason I'm back for more is because this is the one fragrance that guarantees compliments every single time.

Women love it. Men love it. I love it.

Beauty isn't my most expensive perfume or even my favourite, but this woody-floral-musky hybrid is divine and forever cemented its place in my heart. The jasmine is indulgent and the cedar offers warm, woody notes as well as light, fresh florals.

One whiff of this and people go nuts.

AaronStar

Well, I tried to reach Coty and resolve the issue but they were oddly and surprisingly unresponsive.

The fact is the original design has a more intense and potent scent, which makes it a perfume.

I returned the bottle without the chrome finish and got the original from a reputable source, the scent was stronger, deeper and long lasting.

my conclusion is to seek the original design to get the original scent, consult before you buy and get it from a dedicated seller and not a mass wholesale, online store.

I would suggest returning any bottle which is not the original design, the reward will be worth your money.

The difference in scent performance, presentation, and silage is quite surprising.

SabrinaUK

Lovely smooth rounded floral with warmth and kindness. Love it!

GardeniaLover

Notes: citrus cocktail, orange blossom, jasmine, neo-lily, cedarwood, ambrette seeds?

Base notes- Woodsy- Cedar
Heart notes- Musk- Ambrette Seed
Top notes- Floral- Jasmine

Love this perfume, very versatile, unisex, it's strong yet delicate. Love the jasmine and ambrette dancing around the cedarwood. Very woody, musky, sweet floral, it's pleasant, one falls in love with this scent's personality easily.

Comforting, homely, woods, white walls, flowers, white linens, spiritual. A home in the cedar wood forests, a hug, a warm embrace, the scent of a man, musk. Sweet white flowers, sweetness, joy, love, spirit, gardens.

AaronStar

So this is not fruity, not gourmand, this is not a fat, heavy scent. I'm not sure why the negativity, when I smell a jasmine flower, I perceive a clean, strong, white scent. Its simple but oh so good, I'm pretty sure the musk helps it bloom well. I dont see other fragrances this direct, to the point and simple.
I think many don't like it, due to this directness. Jasmines are simple, direct, pure flowers, with lots of character, and white boldness. Its less expensive than many running up similar like Alien, so why not appreciate it. Simplicity can be amazingly elegant, minimalism and discretion both reaching perfect virtues.
So this is not for those who like complex scents, its more like simple jasmine tea with a small touch and some depth, rather than an over the top, overdressed, overstuffed, mixed, shake, if you get me. I recommend smelling a common, real, arabian/sambac jasmine, the appreciation will be true..
I think its very masculine, clean, bold, I think women do not like the masculine nature of the notes.

Called Coty, there are some bottles around without the chrome finish, it seems for now, these maybe counterfeit. I will post an update soon. The scent is very dim and not effective for an EDP. Amazon UK and other websites testify to the fact, buyers beware.

Huckleberry

Very casual, laid back, blues jeans and a white t-shirt kind of scent. All the descriptions everyone has said, is pretty dead on. Kinda boring in a fresh way. I bought it blind, on clearance at Tjmaxx, so my expectations were nil.

It instantly reminded me of something I use to have but wasn't crazy about, then it dawned on me. It smells like Febreeze original with just a touch more wood. Not bad, I like it, but it won't be a daily wearer.

agnemusajevaite

Simple feminine perfume. Would wear this daily after shower.

karenpieris

I dont know how to say about this perfume. But let’s be honest. This perfume i mean the scent really not my type at all. Too feminime and too stronb. But the sillage is very good. The longevity is quite good as well. Im not floral scent person. This perfume was a gift from my mother. So i think for those who like feminime, floral scent and can be wear both day and night this perfume is the one.

Selena

3 notes & you get a creamy, musky, jasmine filled aroma❤️
The name of this perfume is spot on !
'Beauty' at its finest.
CK nailed it this time, I have eternity, obsession & this gem.
Out of the 3 beauty is my favourite.
Smells very mature, creamy & musky at the same time.
I'm not good at detecting jasmine in fragrances BUT THIS, I can smell it all along, it's so beautiful!!
Very feminine & definitely worth a buy :)
Longevity: 5-6 hours.
Best used it spring / warm climates.

marrrr

I dont agree with Beauty being addressed to women in their 40s. Im 30 years old and (still feel like 25:) and I think it's fitting for every age of women. Especially the ones in their 20s! <3 love love this, it's creamy and slightly soapy and clean smelling. My bf loved it saying it is charming.

paulinebrown36

I bought this blind, 100ml EDP for a snip. Given the mixed reviews I was unsure about this fragrance but I really like it. I don't love it, but it speaks to a part of me that wants to smell timeless. Fresh from the bottle this perfume seemed familiar, I was sure I had smelt it somewhere before and several hours after first applying I realise that Beauty reminds me of those scented pages you get in thick magazines which are supposed to smell of a particular perfume but all end up with one homogenous smell.

I can detect white flowers and soft woods and also something faintly green and fresh. There is a background sweetness, but not sugary, more warm and famililar. It's a comforting fragrance and very wearable. I normally wear dry, astringent but complex chypres and I like Beauty because of its simple, clean composition. The box and bottle are gorgeous too! Simple, elegant and stylish.

I wouldn't call this one "pretty", it's more sophisticated than that. Wearable, safe & agreeable are what I think of when wearing this. There's definitely room in my collection for this unassuming scent!

zvrkic

Beauty was once upon a time my favorite scent. I recently bought another bottle. It is pretty white flower inoffensive scent, suitable for work but it lacks X factor. Classy and elegant but I miss some warmth.

fidesfaith

This scent is just too strong for me and there’s nothing special about it It’s plain strong. That’s just not my type. Nothing so extraordinary about it. It’s just okay. Some perfume are not strong but they make a very noticeable scent but this one... meh. You know those perfume that smells like your grandma... this is one of them. That’s just my opinion. It’s still classy though, it doesnt smell like a cheap chic but it smells toooooo mature for my liking.

mapache

Recieved this today. This is an instant "LIKE" for me.
A standard floral with a touch of cedar...not remarkable, but very calming and safe. I just got a 1 oz spray...so...that will be enough for me. Easy going scent...safe...good for everyday...

Lynnieb82

Well fancy that I do like a perfume with cedar. This is lovely nice clean and safe smelling, a good office friendly scent. I'm really amazed that a perfume containing so few scents can feel so well rounded. No linear juice here.

FloatingOphelia

II just bought this after a debate about which fall fragrance to buy...and this wasn't even in my choices list lol. This ius very elegant and understated yet pretty. I swear I smell sandalwood instead of cedar. Could be unisex but is not masculine or cologne like. Anyway I decided this fits what I'm looking for in a fall scent, woody, floral ambrett( resin). I get yellow and white flowers for most of the wearing with woody undertones toward the end. I do like a lot of CKs fragrances. Some of the reviews say it smells synthetic but not on me. Yay! I needed a wearable fall scent.
I think this would be lovely to mix with rose or vanilla also. Maybe Vega Wants Vanilla Rose perfume

angel has a problem

Well done, CK. The branding, packaging, marketing and actual scent of Beauty are SEAMLESSLY done. It is all round understated, modern, effortless beauty. Beauty that doesn't need to try too hard, or do too much.

The scent itself - a clean, simple jasmine sitting on the creamy, aromatic smoothness of ambrette. It floats around you like a veil. It's really soft but also quite tenacious, it maintains its modest sillage for a solid 6 hours. I get no cedar at all - there is no sharpness; it is instead very 'round' in its texture, there are no edges.

Some fragrances are like a hug. This is like those delicate "non-kisses" that ladies give each other, that gentle touching the cheeks together and saying 'mwah'. Just delicate and ladylike. Some fragrances are like red lipstick. This is like clear lipgloss.

PERFECT for effortless, everyday beauty.

Celan Domino

Good floral scent but forgettable. Projection and longevity are not so good. It's a versatile fragrance so you can't go wrong with this one.

cvaile

I bought this for my wife, as we both are big fans of jasmine and cedar - but she was very "meh" about it, so I'm keeping it for myself - jasmine, cedar and ambrette? Only three of my favorite smells/notes - yes please :)

FireDragon76

Beautiful in the bottle and I liked it on the paper strip, so I'll still recommend it to others, but they should of course test it to see if it goes with their skin chemistry.

I don't know if it's the pepper note which lingered on and on, on my skin that was too heavy in a wrong way (I'm not afraid of statement fragrances!) or if it's the combination of pepper and cedar that doesn't favor my chemistry. So I'm glad I chose to test before buying or putting it on a wish list. I really wanted this to work.

redhairfrag

Fresh, light, medium sweet, happy scent, like sunny, warm, but not too hot day. Beautiful uncomplicated jasmin. I would love it more if it had more lasting power. You can spray a lot.

kati77

Not my type, it does not last too long on skin, light, too light for me.

Beautiful commercial, but it is barely there, too delicate for me, after an hour it's gone. Not much develops in this scent. Between fresh and floral.
I blind bought it in sephora store, 50ml, but it was a mistake done in 2011.
Perhaps fans of this scent will be ladies who would like to wear Noa Carachel. This is not my style.

hamidouhanane101

this has been my signature for the past two years and i am actualy happy that not alot of people use it :p this is just the perfect exemple of the saying less is more the jasmine here is exellent quality and the combinaison of ambrette and cedar gives this perfume a sparkling and refreshing effect, once i tried this jasmine i just couldn't go back to wear any generic jasmine this perfume just elevated my nose and my taste in white florals, i tried still by jennifer lopez after i wore this for a year and i could imediatly notice the difference in the quality of jasmine. this scent is for the descrete woman who is confident that she is beautiful and preserves her beauty just for an exclusive man who will have the permission to come close enough to smell her neck.
The bottle the name and the color of the juice reflect exactly the scent :
yellow for natural sunshine
metalic edges for modern
and the name beauty and the round shape for feminine beauty
it is extremly cheep and it makes me extremly happy and sad at the same time because people just don't apreaciate simplicity anymore.
got compliments on this
sillage is moderate and it stays close to the skin after 3 hours.

cutsie587

This is a timeless, classic, best smelling jasmine scent; ever. I love it!! The jasmine is well balanced with the cedar and ambrette, so you don't smell too much of anything. The jasmine is really beautiful and lightly enhanced by the other notes. It is a sleeper hit for me!

Germanblonde

Sbelle hit the nail on the head: It is safe. Safe for me means boring most of the time, but there is a place for these kind of safe juices in my life as well. Doesn't quite fit to my personality, which is more out there and flamboyant, and disappoints me a bit, because Calvin Klein came up with Obsession and Euphoria, two fragrances that I adore, and this is just so blah. Nothing to rave about for me.

Raaven

Just blind purchased this lovely scent today at Marshall's. I have been actively trying to expand my perfumes horizons to the white florals family only to be overwhelmed by their headines. But I was determined to stay in the hunt because just the meir thought of wearing a beautiful feminine jasmine, magnolia, or gardenia during the height of a steamy hot summer night all while retaining a casual sensual coolness was a perfume fantasy I was not willing to give up on! And then I stumbled on to CK Beauty. I orinally chose it for the ambrette note, oddly enough I didn't even pay attention the additional notes, which are listed as jasmine & cedar. And to my good fortune the jasmine adds a gentle feminine facet and is perfectly proportioned with the amberette and cedar, giving this scent nothing less than a classic casual elegance that is suitable for any age or occasion. A Warm, yet Fresh, slightly sweet, & cozy musky floral that is seamlessly blended and will elevate your mood as well as those in your company. So happy to have this in my collection! Will update on the longevity and scent progression as I'm only two hours in, but so far I'm loving it!

Update: Sillage & longevity are moderate (5-6 hours). Progression is fairly linear, becomes a softer version of herself before fading away. There's no lingering morning after scent left on my skin when I wake up, but for the amount of time that it does last it makes me very happy. And for $20 it's a good value, I would purchase again.

phoebe25

It´s a warm scent of Jasmine. It´s very nice and comfortable. It´s classic, and sophisticated. I found this to be most appealing. I like gentle floral scents, and Beauty is perfect for me in that respect. I am one of those people that get headaches from spicier perfumes, and some fragrances on me seem to fade fast. Beauty lasts all day and smells lovely. It's light enough to be worn in every setting, in the daytime and at night.

colorfulmess

At first, Beauty reminded me of baby products: baby wipes, diapers, and toys. I think it morphs into something more mature with the weather. It was my sole perfume during a visit to San Francisco, and the foggy sea breeze brought out the soft floral woodsy notes. I am happy to say I love it now, but it took a while to adapt to this one. I am happy to have this in my collection.
