Sheer Beauty Calvin Klein for women

Opening is little bit too sharp citrus, it takes time to settle. I would swear there is litchi and geranium, beside jasmine I don’t get any notes as mentioned here. It’s the same gender as Brit sheer, up beat fresh fruity floral. It’s very weak, I think weakest frag I own.Edit; I had to give it away, I started smell male cologne in it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Mum got me this from the chemist when I was still studying. It was my first "proper" perfume, so it have a special place in my heart. Got a lot of compliments when wearing it, used up 2 bottles before graduating. An inoffensive perfume that makes me smell fresh, youthful, and feminine. I like it -- not going to buy another bottle, but will happily wear it if I have it on hand.

Blind bought this in my search for a good lotion-like scent after seeing it described as "creamy". I don't get creamy at all. To my nose and on my skin, it's a sharp, insipid fruity-floral. I'd be happy enough if this was an uninspired shampoo scent, but this isn't that. The fruit smells sticky-sweet like spilled canned pineapple juice -and it takes this far away from "clean" or "fresh" for me. There is a slight aftershave vibe around the edges that could be interesting if I liked it...
Edit: I've been wearing this a bit more as the weather is warming and I'm liking it better - also started picking up on the similarities to Chloe that I'd originally downvoted. Not a dupe, something runs parallel.

This is nice. It's very simple and linear, but pretty and light. But it's far more like a body mist than a perfume. Would make a great bedtime scent or gift for someone new to fragrance. It's wildly inoffensive and easy, but quite forgettable, especially if you have a large collection with many options.

This honestly surprised me. I picked it up as a Blind buy. It smells like Versace bright crystal older less sweet sister. It’s got a mild soapy clean smell to it mixed with white florals and what seems to be a citrus note. It’s not very creamy or spicy kinda just a straight shot clean floral. Very pretty day time summer/spring perfume. Very bright very soft.

Someone described this as a creamsicle, and I sortof agree. The citrus scent is more of a sweet citrus, rather than a floral one or just a pure lemon/bergamot. In theory I should like this, and I do - I don't have any complaints other than it's just a little too sweet and basic. I'm still making my mind up about it, and I'm curious to see how it does in the spring and summer. I got a small bottle for about $17 at Ross.

I dont like it. Smells like a men's perfume to me. Cologne like and slightly of toilet freshener. Eugh.

First whiff i thought of Juicy Couture, but then this was more youthful and vibrant! The bellini stands out, and on the drydown, the magnolia lingers.
It stays on me for 6 hours, and it is great on a cold day. On a hot day, it disappears after 2 hours, my body moisture kind of dilutes it somehow. But overall it is my go to scent. Not annoying but very lovely and classic. Im 54 and i love it.

Gotten two seperate compliments wearing this perfume at work she's lovely and gentle.

A simple, elegant, fresh scent, good for both day and night, closed and open spaces. Not too strong. Smells very fresh and great for the summer.

So so clean, a little squeaky clean if compared to its creamy clean Beauty sister..
I don't discern any particular notes except maybe a touch of green in an otherwise clean floral.

After 2months since first opened *I have the silver cap bottle design, not clear.*: this truly is a sheer beauty. Such a non offensive youthful Charming casual all day summer fragrance. Below average projection and sillage but I think that's what defines this beauty. Was Lightly present on my skin for around 6h but found this works better when settled for atleast a day on clothes (smells breathtakingly divine when fully developed on bedsheets!). I like to wear this in summer especially near the shoreline, opening is quite sharp but all worth it. What a fitting name.

VEILED Jasmine RESISTANCE. This non-perfume perfume, opens with a light, fruity burst of multi-faceted bergamot with nuances of peach-bellini, that transitions to a floral heart of peony & jasmine, resting on a musky vanilla-wood base. Additionally, on the skin I get beach-bellini and pencil shavings, and in the air I get the lily. This is overall a very light, fresh musky jasmine grandiflorum scent (not a peach-bellini scent along the lines of Heiress Paris Hilton), and the peach-bellini here is much quieter than the notes would suggest. Average performance for a light summer wearing experience.

Contrast to Beauty Calvin Klein:
These are different, but there is a similar DNA with jasmine. Beauty (OG) has a jasmine that's less shrouded in softening notes. Beauty outperforms.

Contrast to Dior Addict EDT:
These are different, but there is a similar vibe here with jasmine. DA-EDT has a deeper jasmine sambac and a bolder approach with above average performance in contrast to the light, fluffy & 'sheer' approach of Sheer Beauty.

Contrast to Body by Burberry EDT:
These are different, but there are similarities with fizzy peach over tea/pencil-shavings. Body EDT has a bolder approach with well above average performance, whereas Sheer Beauty has a lighter, fluffier vibe akin to Glossier You or Light Blue Dolce&Gabbama for a light summer wearing experience.

Overall: Beautiful sheer scent for light summer wearing experience, this is the perfect scent to wear for a sit-in or when practicing passive resistance. Overall it's a like for me, but for what it is, it's a love. Enjoy!

Blind buy on a plane. What a pleasant surprise. I used to wear Miss Dior Chérie l'Eau in the early 2010's and was heartbroken when it got discontinued. Since then, I have been looking to replace it and I settled on the Chanel Chance l'Eau, but I still found it different. First spray of Sheer Beauty, pure happiness because it reminds me of my beloved Miss Dior Chérie l'Eau (still have the empty bottle to smell it from time to time). Projection is ok, but longevity is non-existant, unfortunately. I have to apply it several times before leaving the house. Yet, it is an inoffensive, office-safe scent, perfect for warmer weather.

It's a very nice scent but doesn't perform well at all. I don't get more one hour. Was very disappointed and will never get another bottle.

I kinda like it, but it smells really strong.

I can't decide about this one! While I do like it, it's a little bit sharp, citrus, and bathroom cleanser-y up front. But, on the other hand, it's very refreshing -- almost sparkling -- and on the edge of yummy (belini!), with plenty of bergamot and peony. I almost feel like I smell grapefruit or yuzu or some other very sour/tart citrus, as opposed to bergamot, and I definitely don't smell lemon or citron. Within half an hour, the sharpness up top dissipates and you're left with a really pretty, almost creamy, drydown -- like orange creamsicle, but with a more sour citrus like yuzu or grapefruit. If you're a fan of the grapefruit note in Coco Mad, and enjoy Bright Crystal, you may really enjoy this one (I actually don't own either of those but still like them). I'm going to live with Sheer Beauty longer before I make a choice one way or another, but I have a feeling she may grow on me and be especially lovely come summer...

This is really beautiful! I rated it just ok due to the longevity. It’s nothing groundbreaking and it reminds me of a few other similar floral freshies, but it is a nice fresh fruity-floral gem perfect for even the hottest summer days, non offensive and it evolves into a mostly floral with a light clean musky vibe and then to a soft pleasant sweet and musky skin scent.

The peony in it gives it a bit of a sharp start, but I don’t mind I actually like peony in my fragrances for that sharp/sour bit but if you don’t it’s ok it doesn’t last very long at all because the sharpness goes away and just the freshness of the peony remains.

The downside on this is it simply does not last on my skin. I prefer dousing my skin so the fragrance can evolve with my body chemistry. Even worn on clothing it didn’t last very long and had no projection when applied to clothes as well as no benefit of the fragrance evolving.

I think for someone who doesn’t like that screechy beginning it could be an issue with reapplying through the day. For me it it is just the inconvenience of reapplying and feeling a bit ripped off since I think only body sprays should be weak to the point of needing to reapply, but for the price it’s not the worse thing to have to do.

This is a nice any occasion other than the very formal setting. Very feminine girl next door vibe. I can see a teacher wearing this or someone in an office or medical setting where loud scents would be discouraged.

I'm not sure if this only comes in an EDT, but I'm reviewing the EDT.

This is a lovely hot weather scent. It is so clean and fresh and light. The citrus notes are almost peppery when you first spray and it is quite strong when you first put it on. The sillage shrinks to a skin scent after about 3 hours but the perfume actually lingers on your skin for the whole day (Even though it's an EDT) after that. I love the bottle and smell which is addicting. The dry down smells quite different from the opening, all the citrus disappears and it is subtle, slightly sweet, and feminine. I enjoy every stage of the perfume. I do need to reapply because of the sillage, even in the heat, but it's not expensive where I live so I think it's worth it. Although I like it a lot I'm not sure if I would buy another bottle (although I'm getting through my current bottle fairly fast). I also suspect it will completely transform in cooler weather, I might update this review then.

EDIT: It is not very different in the winter. It's still beautiful. It feels extra crisp and fresh in the cold.

This perfume would be better if had better longevity. It just lasted 1-2h on my skin and it’s gone. It’s a pretty citrus fresh clean scent. Reminds me of Chance, a baby version

Me encanta usarlo para reforzar recuerdos positivos en primavera o verano. Amo usar perfumes de esa manera, después abres un frasco y tienes recuerdos maravillosos gratis. Podría ser un perfume inofensivo para la oficina pero ES TAN DELICIOSO que se merece más que eso.

A very clean, slightly sour - fresh smell.
It's not a strong smell - better for summer and spring.
It's an everyday perfume and it will make you feel light, sophisticated and fresh.

Its ok. I wear it to the office

This was a blind buy for me. I heard a great review on YouTube and decided to pick it up--this was a few months ago. My first impression was it was way too light. I decided to wear it for the first time this past Saturday. As I sprayed my skin, I thought: meh! Then, shortly thereafter, the magic happened. It became a powerhouse of a clean, bouquet of white flowers--so different from the ambery-musks that I naturally reach for. I wore this to visit my Auntie in the hospital and to an early dinner. I really enjoyed it's projection, longevity, and its ultra-feminine vibe. My husband complimented me on this fragrance, as well. I really love this! Beautiful packaging too.

Another blind buy for me but this time I actually waited a day before giving my review so I could see how it lasted.

I have to say that I think this is one of the prettiest perfumes I’ve ever smelled. When I first sprayed it I wasn’t sure about the fruity tone but as soon as it settled in it was the prettiest floral you could imagine. I usually spray myself with perfume before bed and let me tell you I kept getting whiffs of this all night and it was just beautiful. Same thing when I was at work today. It’s light enough to not offend others at the office but I could still smell it on me all day long (although I did touch up a little here and there). It has great sillage.

I definitely see this being my every day perfume. I’m definitely getting a bigger bottle as soon as possible because I see myself going through the 1 ounce pretty quickly lol.

Spa-like, sweet/sour, tart - pink lemonade derivative perfume, it has a "just out of the shower"- freshness about it. This is a perfume which resonates as youthful but not juvenile.

I agree with some of the other reviews, this doesn't smell exactly like the Chanel line of fresh scents -- but it is still in the general genre of softer, less intrusive perfumes which can be worn in the heat without it feeling as if it is something that is overly cloying.

This perfume is a non-linear perfume that "evolves" - it moves from one fragrance, into several other fragrances as it moves into the dry down phase. The dry down phase to this perfume is AMAZING! I wish that this stayed in this same range during the whole process, but I love the unfoldment, witnessing the way that this evolves over time. The dry down of this perfume is actually better on me than even the original Beauty by CK (which I have recently fallen in love with - for spring/summer wear, the jasmine in that perfume is really fabulous - particularly when it is warm outside - or wearing while exercising).

Don't prejudge this perfume - it takes awhile to blend on the skin.
The first hour of wear, is not as good as the dry down.
The dry down of this is truly fabulous.

The very first minutes of this, the reviews are right, this smells like a chemical fog (never make the mistake of judging a perfume by the first 20 minutes after you spray, always give perfume a chance to blend into your skin and see how it evolves). About 10 minutes into this -- this starts to have some really nice soprano notes that begin lifting from the skin, giving this even more life than the original Calvin Klein Beauty. So far, so good.

Surprisingly based on the other reviews, this has pretty good performance and this lasted 5-6 hours without needing a refresh of any kind. As this wears on my skin, this became much sweeter... gone was the first bog spray smell. However, this has a couple of notes in it which reminds me of Calvin Klein's Obsession perfume (when I figure this out, I'll let you know) - and that is not blending in with my chemistry. I like certain aspects of this perfume, but the overall fragrance chord is turning into something that is giving me a headache in the early stages of the dry down. This could just be me, there are a lot of people that really like this perfume.

The final phases of Sheer Beauty are quite nice, this has a lovely sweet floral chord which does a really great job lasting on my skin through the final phase of the dry down. There is something about this perfume that pulls it out of the category of "pink lemonade derivative" perfumes. The peony is not over done in this perfume, it is more well blended than a lot of other "pink-girly" perfumes. I like the final phases of this perfume, but I'm not sure that I can handle the Obsession perfume notes that pique out the beginning of the dry down phase through the middle of wear. This is where the perfume goes a bit more "spicy"... than "sweet".

I have not tried this side by side with Estee Lauder Pleasures, but this is in a similar "family" as Pleasures. Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty is a bit less floral than Pleasures -- there is more of a sour/fresh type note in CK Sheer Beauty than Pleasures. Pleasures has more aldehydes in the first hours of wear -- it is more floral and feminine than SB. Sheer Beauty is more neutral -- more in line with a perfume that is refreshing, clean, just out of the shower -- and yes, more "pink lemonade".

Sheer Beauty is slightly more feminine and "pink lemonade" than CK's Beauty - which leans more like a fresh, just out of the shower - cedar/birch spa smell. I like both perfumes for different reasons -- and they could be worn to different events depending on your mood.

Overall, I much prefer CK's Beauty, that blends really well with my chemistry.
What I really DO LIKE about CK's Sheer Beauty are the high notes which cause this perfume to lean more in the direction of a soprano perfume, with still some grounding alto notes. (This is a slightly higher octave than Calvin Klein's Beauty - and Estee Lauder's Beautiful. If you haven't tried Calvin Klein's Beauty, you really should - it is really GREAT ON!

Sheer beauty has some very nice moments - and I really like the way that it ends in the dry down phase. I can see why so many people like this perfume!

For those that wear CK's Obsession perfume really well, you may actually enjoy the mid-note spicy notes. Just because it doesn't work with my chemistry may not mean that it isn't good on yours. This is why you should always try perfumes on, wear them awhile, then figure it out!

Analysis of the Mid Point that smells like Obsession by CK -

Ingredients of Sheer Beauty:
Sheer Beauty was launched in 2012. Top notes are Bellini, Bergamot and Red Berries; middle notes are Peony, Jasmine and Lily; base notes are Musk, Sandalwood and Vanille.

Ingredients of Obsession:
Launched in 1985. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean Guichard. Top notes are Vanilla, Basil, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Green Notes, Peach and Lemon; middle notes are Spices, Sandalwood, Coriander, Oakmoss, Cedar, Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Rose; base notes are Amber, Incense, Vanilla, Civet, Musk and Vetiver.

Ok, the common notes are:
Jasmine
Vanilla
Sandalwood
Musk

Midway through the wear, something is going on within this part of the blend that is going too "spicy" - exactly the same base notes in Obsession that doesn't work with my chemistry.

Verdict:

This perfume is in such a beautiful bottle - looks lovely. I love the dry down of this, but I can not make it through the mid point where this turns into a lighter version of CK's Obsession for about 30 min to an hour. This part doesn't agree with my chemistry, it gives me a headache.

There is an after-shave note in this that makes this lean more masculine. I don't like that for my personal perfumes, it is too masculine for me to wear as a perfume.

There is something in this that reminds me of Elizabeth Arden's perfumes in the Untold line which were inspired by the Chanel Chance line. That was not a good blend with my chemistry either, after sampling it for a longer time period.

The final hour of this dry down is such an amazingly fresh smell. I truly LOVED that part of this perfume. If this perfume were more linear where it started exactly like the final phase of the dry down - and ended there, I would probably like this as much as the original Beauty by Calvin Klein, and possibly more. This perfume has potential. I truly LOVE the dry down to this, it is a total WOW!

This perfume lost me when the Obsession notes and more masculine aftershave type notes started to make an appearance - in the middle of wear (I like aftershave notes on men, but I do not like wearing perfumes that have any type of aftershave ingredients in them. I'm over perfumes that lean so unisex that they are confused with men's colognes. I still want to smell like a lady, even though some of my preferences for perfumes are strong with presence. The aftershave notes are not my scent profile, but I don't mind them on men - as long as they are not over done (For an example...Old Spice is OVER THE TOP... a hard pass).

I liked the pink lemonade quality of this perfume - but when the Obsession notes surfaced, this was just WAYYYYY too much for me and even gave me a headache. This would definitely be a perfume to try if you like a perfume that leans slightly masculine, but ends feminine and fresh. This perfume is basically "just out of the shower - fresh" with the pink lemonade vibe.

The dry down to this was heaven on earth! Truly fabulous. You are ONTO SOMETHING with that! I'd love to see more fragrances in that general profile. This is definitely a clear cut direction to explore further.

I already have this scent in my collection, granted another variation but deep down it is the same
I just received it and so far it smells nice, a bit fruity and clean. To my nose smells/ has the same vibe as Chance ET, Bella Branca, Versace Bright Crystal and L'Amour Lalique

Fresh, flowery scent that is like a sheer blanket of fragrance so I think they named this well and it's very affordable.

- This is a great touch up spray during the day or to spray when you are fresh out of the shower.
- Amazing if your office has a strict perfume policy because it can go by undetected it even when I spray generously.
- Great guest perfume for your bathrooms as well so you won't have to worry about sharing your expensive bottle of perfume
- Can use as a car air freshener

Probably won't repurchase (due to lasting power obviously) but there are ways to make this work. I hate wasting perfume plus it's very inoffensive and pretty :)

There are some things I like about this perfume. It's definitely an intimate, spring, after-shower scent. Calvin Klein once again fails perfume wise. I would recommend not buying this if you're looking for something with longevity (super weak barely lasts 30 min). Alas, will not be purchasing again.

I personnally really don't like this fragrance and here's why:
to my nose this smells like cheap bathroom freshener. There is one note, I don't know wich that just really irritates me and it is very strong. My boyfriend got it for me so I wear it occasionnelly but im really not a fan of calvin klein fragrances in genreal. I don't think it is a bad perfume, I definetly can imagine some people liking it but it is not for everyone.

Basic fruity floral with LOTS of musk! It doesn’t make an impression on me or anyone else for that matter. Longevity is terrible, doesn’t last longer than even an hour.

1st impression review- blind bought a full bottle and tested for past day-

This is a very light, fruity floral grounded by sandal wood and musk. It’s a fresh, out of the shower type of scent. Not very strong nor does it seem to have lasting power.

Please do not buy this thinking it’s smells like the Chanel chance flankers pictured that ppl say it smells like. I love the Chanel chance range and perhaps all this has in common is that it is fresh and floral but def not Chanel.

With that said this is very non offensive and I imagine would be a great daytime reach in warm weather( it’s currently fall )
I think I’ll put this in my gym bag as it would be a good gym scent and post workout refresher as I sometimes do errands on the way home🙃

There is nothing that stands out ob out this fragrance nor do I dislike it. I’ll likely use the whole bottle but not sure if I’d repurchase as this fragrance profile is very common and generic smelling but by no means bad

I brought this summer 2019
Since then I have given it many chances but as much as I want to like it I just don’t, it’s very citrusy and gives me a bit of a headache. It. Give me bathroom cleaner vibes if I’m honest I do still have it in my collection in hope my mind changes but it does look hopeful , (stay power is also very weak)

Incredibly disappointed. I picked up this perfume as part of a mixed lot from a woman who was downsizing her collection. The bottle is a beautiful design, but that is about it. At first spray, I got a lovely citrusy champagne then after thirty minutes, absolutely nothing. I had sprayed my skin, my hair and my clothes. I appreciate that this is an Eau de toilette therefore longevity will be questionable however I own cheap body sprays that perform much better than this. Luckily I own a 50ml bottle which I shall use up. I won’t be repurchasing and certainly not at full price.

Revisiting some old samples in my collection, I tried this one on last night before bed. I have a 1mI dabber vial. I applied about 1/4 of the contents because I didn't anticipate loving it (and therefore wanting it to last longer) based on the notes. Within 10 seconds a symphony of nearly all of the listed notes jumped out at me in nearly equal proportion. It's sweet and floral, and nice enough, but nothing beyond that. Peony and a harsh Lysol-like musk then developed, and stayed near the front, and even mid-afternoon the next day, I still smell those two notes strongly enough that I did not apply perfume today.

A nice cheap fruity floral scent. It is very sharp and citrussy at first (which I personally like) but then blends into a fresh fruity floral. Please don't expect anything too sophisticated but it is a fresh scent, perfect for spring/summer with village but the freshness disappears quickly. I think anyone of any age could wear but it leans more to a younger demographic.

Aftershave Old Spice, no joke.

I definitely do see how people get toilet spray from this but only in the initial spray, after a few minutes the dry down is softer and warmer and reminiscent of some cheap playboy stuff I wore in my teens, it’s a very safe perfume and would be a safe gift for a young person, it’s playful and soft without being grossly sweet like most perfumes targeted at teens.

I got this as a gift and didn’t think I’d like it at first because I usually steer clear of white/fresh and citrus fragrances, and cheap perfume in general. I better suit and am drawn to soft floral, and sweet, warm, fruity scents (even better if they’re all combined) that are a little pricier and this perfume is none of those things.

Sadly my favourite perfumes all smell terrible in the heat and I’ve had so much trouble finding a summer fragrance I like.

I’ve found this perfume is a lovely medium for summer, it’s safe, soft and light, not overwhelmingly citrus/fruity, it’s a true white fragrance but not too sharp or too powdery. Longevity isn’t anything special and neither is the overall depth but for $20 for the bigger bottles you get your money’s worth.
While I feel a little old for this perfume it will definitely do me over until I settle on a nicer summer staple.

Been wearing this perfume alot this year in 2020,its fresh, nice,lovely, its a good perfume i love it!!

Sheer beauty is light and sort of bubbly. It's like a glass of champagne to my nose. It's fruity and floral and has a smoothness to it. It's elegantly simple. I think it's best suited to spring and summer due to it's light nature. Very nice.

Have been looking for the perfect fragrance to send to my sister as a graduation gift, I initially was worried about blind buying a fragrance but trying to find a reasonably priced - yet suitable fragrance in store is somewhat limited here. I came across "Sheer Beauty" by Calvin Klein which I have considered buying before, but never had. It was on sale for a really decent price and after testing it in store, I knew it was the perfect fragrance to gift. Its clean, inoffensive and a very pleasant scent. I wanted to give her a fragrance that would be well suited for everyday wear when working and for the office environment - yet nothing too boring or watered down. " Sheer Beauty " is a clean scent with light fruit / floral notes, with a hint of musk that comes out beautifully upon dry down, It lingers on the skin well and is not overpowering or intense, yet still can be noticed. Would be a great summer fragrance or for those occasions were you want to wear a fragrance, but nothing bold.

This is SO REFRESHING! It’s great if you want light and simple scent. And it’s also great if you have migrains. I just LOVE it. Im smelling pink pepper(but very light hint of it). I don’t know why this have so many negative reviews. It is longlasting if you spray it on your clothes - NOT on your skin 😊

I like this fragrance. For a blind buy with the expectation for something fresh fruity and floral its good. However, it lasts so little. The first spray its good, it put a smile on my face. For ladies who live in hot places like me, you want that out-of-the-shower, fresh scent around you that its femenine and stays. This fragrance is so soft and fleeting that if it had more power and performance it could be a daily scent but its more of a cologne to spray while I'm inside.

Nice perfume. Sweet yet fresh at the beginning( projection is strong only for the first hour), then turns into a light creamy-floral skin scent. Not a masterpiece, but definitely very nice and pleasant. Suitable for the day/ spring and summer.

Sorry, but to me this is a plain boring scent plus it has zero silage and longevity. It opens with extremely strong bergamot on my skin and the musc makes things worse. After 10 mins it becomes more wearable with the bellini and peony and just when I start enjoying those two - bam, it's all gone. This one goes for swap.

A very light fresh scent that will not drag you down as the sun grows hotter. Blasting lovely red berries and bellini it lingers on your skin for hours, blending well with your wardrobe which could be easily either casual or business. One for a woman on the go.

The dry down is a clean powder that sets into the skin six hours after first spray. It still smells clean on my wrist and I tested it this afternoon in the department store, went home, washed my hands and dishes and clothes!

I believe women of all ages can wear this one. It is not suggestive or overtly sexy, not a fragrance with an assertive ego of itself. It blends into whatever you want to make of it. Won't be buying this one due to the cost but hey, if you own it and love it power to you!

I was so very lucky to find a 1.7 ounce bottle of this amazingly beautiful fragrance on ebay for under $15 USD. It was a blind buy, but based on the notes, as well as the reviews here, I figured there was a very good chance that it would be a successful blind buy. I had no idea what an amazingly BEAUTIFUL fragrance this truly is! On my skin, from the very first spritz, I am bombarded with what seems to be the largest, most beautiful, overwhelmingly fragrant bouquet of flowers I can imagine. I'm not able to discern which flowers are in the mix, and I'm not able to smell any non-flower notes that are listed - not even the vanilla, which I usually always notice first when it is part of a fragrance's composition. This glorious perfume makes me feel like I am surrounded by this perfect, delicious, fresh, soft bouquet, like a bride on her wedding day. For me, this is the best of the best of a fresh flower scent that surrounds me and protects me from the world while I bask in the rapturous scent. I am truly in love! Highly recommended to anyone who loves flowers-only fragrances. My only complaint is the longevity. Within two hours of spraying, this fades to a skin scent, sadly. Not too sad, though, since it is available online at a great price, I just bought another, larger bottle, so I can spray it on every two hours if need be! I truly intend to keep this beauty at the front of my perfume collection for the rest of my days. 10/10 for this incredible fragrance. It is such a beautiful flower cocktail that I'm wondering if this is what heaven smells like!

I blind bought this scent because of the comparisons to RL Glamourous which I miss very much, but unfortunately this is nothing like it. Not sure where the Luscious Pink comparisons are coming from either. This is far less sweet and musky.
On my skin I I get fresh and gentle floral opening which eventually dries down to a scent very similar to Contradiction except it’s more airy.
Overall a very easy to wear scent that goes well with any occasion and any weather.

Very pretty opening/beginning but seems to become very powdery after a short time. The powder element rarely works with my skin and can be headache inducing for me. After about an hour, I intensely disliked the powder and decided to return it.

I really like CK Beauty so I had high hopes for Sheer Beauty, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. The first few seconds were lovely (creamy and slightly fruity) but it soon dried down to something synthetic-smelling and cloying. I can smell the base of Beauty but the top notes of Sheer Beauty just don't work on my skin. Sheer Beauty has a note in it that reminds me of Scotch tape, of all things! I had the same issue with Burberry Body Tender and I gave that away because of it.

The first 15 seconds after spray that’s the best part I like. Within 5 mins the first thought was Glamorous by Ralph Lauren it’s now been 1/2 hour it still reminds of Glamrous but now I’m not for sure-for sure, it’s been a long while since I’ve smelt Glamorous. However, I am pretty darn sure with in the 1/2 it was Glamorous. Which was a fragrance I liked

Got this tested today and it really smells lovely and creamy. The only problem is this is too quiet and meek. Sits really close to skin, no one will notice you're wearing a perfume! Not even you! Unless you sink your nose where you sprayed this on.

Reminded me of Burberry The Beat.

What a waste really.

Got a 100ml bottle on sale at a fragrance outlet. Soon grew bored of it but still managed to make my way through the bottle. As I work in a large organisation, I use to gravitate towards perfumes that wouldn't make my colleagues feel like they had to hold their breath. Now I don't care lol. It is definitely as noted, a 'fruity floral', and a very wearable one at that. However, I would soon stop smelling it literally after spraying so I was never sure if I was spraying too much. That being said, I would get compliments on it even though it was no longer detectable to myself. Not a memorable scent so definitely not one to repurchase or yearn for after trying it, in my opinion.

Don't know why I find it to be really spicy! And the bellini is so synthetic. Hate it really, not even a mere like.

I sampled this today and omg. Scrubber for sure. Screetchy and cheap. CK needs to let this one retire. Gone are the deep and multi-leveled days of Obsession and Eternity, welcome the top note non-variable impatient generation of new. I weep for the future of fragrance.

I really adored the scent of this fragrance for day wear, so I think it's both good and bad that I bought 50ml on impulse, because it just wouldn't last on my skin. I bought Sheer Beauty when it first came out and I would've repurchased if it'd lasted longer. The middle and base notes are usually a success with my skin chemistry. The vanilla didn't really come out and in Spring I didn't want that either so I was fine with that and Sheer Beauty was mainly a soft, fresh floral and not sweet on me.

Sheer Beauty is very lovely. It's fresh and not sharp. Peach bellini is very dominant from the first spray until the drydown plus some nice flowery smell. I sense some hint of citrus, maybe bergamot. Actually, I didn't expect much from CK since they always launch new scent every years. Sheer Beauty is an exception. It reminds me of classic flowery smell from 90's, not outdated just beautiful for every woman.

Smells like a stale bottle of Moscato! Perhaps the bottle I purchased was old (?) but I don't get much white floral vibe from it at all. All I get is a strong alcohol smell, and an over-ripened fruit smell. Agreeing with the "Rexona antiperspirant" comment! Staying power is non existent. Very forgettable. Much prefer Calvin Klein 'Beauty'...it's 100% better! This one is just very weak. Zzzzzz!

I am pleasantly surprised with this scent, its not something I would usually go for im a gourmand lover but my mum gave me this so thought I would give it a go as first sniff didn't offend me. Wearing it is lovely it has a playful sophistication about it which I enjoy, usually any perfume with musk in it, the musk will be screaming on my skin and in this it doesn't, I enjoy the Bellini and jasmine and lime that plays together the lime cuts through the floral but just enough so that either of the notes don't give me a sore head so all in all this works with my skin chemistry really well it is a nice happy and playful but sophisticated scent.

I agree with MegKaybeee. It is all I want from Chanel Chance eau tendre and it is much more beautiful on my skin. With Chanel Chance, I can't take the smell more than 10 minutes and it gives me a headache. I sprayed only once at the store and I can't stop smelling my wrists again and again even though I can smell it now and then. Also reminds me of Dior J'adore maybe due to how it develops on my skin. It is weird because I think Chance and J'adore are totally different! :D

I really like the salty fresh, slightly citrus start of this. Almost like Provocative Woman. The drydown is more floral.

Update: I find the drydown to be a sharp, sweet floral that takes me back to the 90's with Contradiction, if my memory holds.

I tried this at a drugstore today. It smelled just awful on my skin. I could not figure out the top note, the smell was very strong of some sort of spice. I found it quite different from the original Beauty. A few hours later, the smell is completely gone. And that is quite a good thing.

I am a fan of this fragrance. When you spray it you get citrus and all of the other notes come by straight after. It is not fun or flirty, but it just smells nice. It has character.

You have to reapply often though.

Smells like one of the Rexona antiperspirants.
It's OK but nothing interesting. The bergamot is quite prominent and it has a slight unisex vibe.
Probably something to wear to the beach because it's light and refreshing or to choose as a gift for someone who is not particularly into perfumes as it's pretty standard and easily likeable.

My current work perfume. I love how elegant it smells. Also its just the right amount of sexy. Perfect for any season day or night. Lasts around 2 hours on me after which I need to reapply. Whatever you do though, do not team this with a sweet body lotion. I did (Victoria Secret Pear Glace)and the result was diastrous. Dont know what I was thinking.

it smells expensive and elegant, a bit sharp but still soft..hard to explain. it smells bitter and sour, but very sheer...i think its perfect for a fancy restaurant-date or something, since it smells so elegant. but its very uum boring, but if you want to smell expensive this is a scent for you!

A perfume that you put on yourself and, an hour later, you remember the good old times when it was still on your skin. Signal toothpaste has better longevity than this one.

I like this one better than the original Beauty, actually, but I'm not impressed. The sweetness is ok even for a lover of fresh perfumes. The trouble is that the most refreshing scents soon evaporate and you're left with sweet, cocktailly, almost fake smelling fragrance far from CK's masterpieces. The sillage and longevity are its biggest weaknesses.
I just can't seem to get to that peony...I want it,I try to find it, I concentrate real hard...but, jasmine just kills it. And then everything disappears.

I just have a small sample vial of this one. However I do really like the bottle - it reminds me of a spring raindrop.

I also do like the perfume itself - I tend to dig clean, simple scents, which I associate with Calvin Klein. On my skin, I get a fresh (verging on soapy), sweet-but-not-too-sweet white floral with bergamot and what is probably the peach bellini (a sparkling fruity smell).

However, I find the sillage is very soft and unfortunately it is not long lasting on my skin, perhaps 1-2 hours. I can imagine this would be perfect for people who like very subtle, clean scents.

I tried this one at a mall yesterday and I couldn't resist sniffing my arm for a very long time. About longevity, I think it easily lasted for 4-5 hours or more on my wrist.
It is indeed "Sheer Beauty" . I will be gifting myself this heavenly scent very soon .

It's soft and very feminine. It fades too quickly for such a pleasant smell. Is it really "almost a full copy of Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche" as antonpan said? I like it. I think this is a lovely perfume while it lasted.

What a disappointment on this fragrance!... The first 5 minutes were so promissing that I thought this could be the perfect fragrance for me. Very soft lovely floral, elegant and romantic. Just perfect! The problem was, after 15 minutes it was almost gone and half an hour later there wasn't even a trace of it. It was like it never existed.
I do like soft, subtle scents, but wearing Sheer Beauty or nothing it's pretty much the same thing. I think this fragrance is obscenely expensive for the time it lasts, and according to other reviewers it seems that I'm not the only one. I've worn supermarket colognes that lasted longer. Perhaps an EDP worked better...
Other than that, the brief moments that it lasts, it's a lovely soft and elegant floral, innocent and inoffensive and suitable for all ages that can be worn anytime and anywhere.

Edit: I received this as a gift and I have to update my review to be fair with Sheer Beauty... The 1st time I tried it was in a particularly hot day. Some notes are rapidly absorbed by our skin when it's too cold while others (especially flowers) evaporate too quicky when it's too hot- this is exactly what happened that day.
This is a scent for spring, early summer, early fall, a fresh summer night, a warmer day in late winter. It can't be too hot or too cold, otherwise it won't last. In the right temperatures Sheer Beauty lasts around 5 to 6 hours. It still wouldn't hurt if it lasted a little longer, but still much better than what I previously thought.

This perfume is just perfect- floral fresh, juicy and slightly naughty (I mean the presence of the Bellini). The opening reminds me Chanel Chance eau fraiche. The drydown is warm and sensual without being vulgar. The bottle is gorgeous- thick, solid, rosy glass. The shape makes me think about the shapes of women. A pure, clean design. A wonderful simplicity which reflects well this scent. The only minus- the staying power is quite weak on me.
It's like a young,beautiful bride -light, dreamy, innocent and blushing, but with some very hot and naughty fantasies she would like to fulfill.
In the morning she's getting married, in the afternoon she's celebrating, dancing and enjoying the life, but in the night she is showing all her love and fantasies to her beloved.

This perfume is kind of okayish. I was more impressed by the original Beauty which was a masterpiece in my opinion but this one is totally wearable too. Fruity, fresh and not overpowering.

I really loved the top notes of Sheer Beauty and thought I had found something amazing. They were right up my alley, fruity and fresh and the Bellini smelled gorgeous! Sadly that joy ride only lasted about 15 seconds... then things started going terribly wrong. The dry down turns completely weird on me. Can't quite explain it. Sour almost? In any case, not pleasant. Disappointed.

My daughter who is 13 yrs. old was the first one to compliment me on this fragrance. She wanted me to save some for her...when she grows up.. :-). I love it too,a subtle fragrance that does not intrude into people around you but relaxes them n makes them smile with you. Very happy indeed.

Very delicate fragrance, floral, subtle, so great choice for spring & summer. Personally I prefer sweeter and a bit more powerful scents, but for someone who prefers not sweet and very classical ones, Sheer Beauty could be perfect. Also, this fragrance is very appropriate for work or school, cause it won't bother anyone, even most dreadful boss or teacher:)

This perfume somewhat reminds me of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre for its cuteness of the scent(and the bottle). Somehow I would choose this Sheer Beauty over the Chance ET for how it is more complex, and has more depth. The longer I wear, the better the scent turns to. This is my holy grail of all time.

Never would have imagined those two connected. I have both, Can't see any similarities except the color of the liquid.

This Sheer Nonsense is so light and turns into nothing within a very short time : it is one of the numerous expensive colored waters just served into a nice bottle .

Well , it is not an obligation to wear perfume . If perfumery is going to ask ( steal ) money for very bad quality , I am no buyer .

Due to the reviews saying that it smells masculine, my mindset smells masculine as for room temperature. Then one evening i decided to go fr a jog with my lil nephew. No idea what to wear, i sprayed 2 sprits on my t shirt and while jogging i smelt a very comforting scent. Im in love! Then during the night my sis fetched me in front of my house. I wore this frag and my 2nd bro mentioned "nice smell. What car perfume u bought i want it fr my car as well". And actually it was SHEER BEAUTY :)

The first time I tried Sheer Beauty earlier this winter I found it a bit too citrusy on my skin, and the sharp opening notes kind of cheap smelling. But then I received a small sample of it a few weeks ago and on the second try fell completely in love! I still find it a little sharp the first few minutes after I put it on, but after that, ohhh...so lovely. It's a soft, creamy, melts-with-the-skin scent on me. The peony note is the most apparent one to my nose.

Unfortunately, like many others have said, the lasting power is not very good on this one. Otherwise it would be close to perfect.

Just too citrusy on my skin, almost bitter. Perhaps falling in love with Lubin's Gin Fizz just before trying this spoilt me.

I think this is the best of CK.

Fresh, young, elegant, a spring-summer perfume. Good for everyday wear, office and free time as well.
It's not unforgettable but if you like new fragrances, you may give it a try.

at 1st try during hot afternoon..the smell is almost non existent. too soft. 2nd test in an air cond. room...reminds me of some Victoria's Secret (Gorgeous etc) and the drydown is similar with Oriflame Sparkle in Paris. it's non outstanding.

I never appreciated this fragrance until today. My bottle sat on my desk untouched for months because I didn't like it much. The smell was flat. It was a blind buy. I kept it for a lazy non-event day such as today so it won't go to waste; and got surprised by how pleasant it smelled. The sweet medley of fruits and flowers; mild but there. I gave it a shake before I sprayed.

A fresh fragrance. I detect a nice mix of flowers, some sweetness hiding behind that freshness(maybe vanilla?) and, sadly, the sharpness of something sour and sinthetic in the background which I just can't stand, as it spoils the whole experience for me. Shame: for ten minutes I thought I might like it.

This one is far too aquatic for me. I smell cucumber and watermelon in the topnotes, and the heart is mainly peach with a hint of white flowers. All very watery and light. Sheer and fresh, sure, but equally unoriginal and forgettable.

I'm in love. The scent is so delicate and alluring. Sweet but not overpowering. Fresh but not citrusy. I would make it my signature scent but its lasting power is terrible. Gone within an hour or so.

I love this perfume. It is elegant and graceful - there is a touch of masculinity to it, almost like a refined and feminine CK One. Just the right amount of sweetness (not too much). It doesn't last hours on end, but I bought a rollerball and cannot stop applying it through the day. Makes me feel like Grace Kelly in the summertime. Gorgeous.

The original Beauty was a nice scent, real interesting, Sheer doesn't come close, it is diluted, a pink scent , it isn't anything special. I don't really like it, I gave it to my mom who likes it. If you like delicate sheer florals this is an option, or for a young girl ' s first perfume, for me I just can't smell it , it isn't making a statement at all. Unfortunately boring.

i've got this for my second anniversary. my husband think this fragrance is very seductive and perfect for our sexy time. in my opinion, husband like it then spray it on. however this fragrance remind me of charlie white from revlon but this one is more on the softer side. if you want a cheaper version you should get charlie but if you want a better longevity you should get this one.

Sheer Beauty by Calvin Klein may be severely lacking in originality but that doesn't make it any less pretty. This simplistic and fresh floral blend is perfect for Summer and compliments almost every skin type.

Although I prefer the original Beauty, this sheer flanker has many likable qualities. For starters, it's inoffensive, so women that aren't fans of anything too 'perfumey' are sure to love this. Another positive aspect is its fresh and clean approach. To my nose it smells like an expensive floral shampoo.

Sheer Beauty is not a fragrance that will blow you over backwards, but it is very pleasant and wearable. Both my friend and I enjoyed this fragrance when we smelt it together a few days ago, so it has both of our ticks of approval.

The bottle for Sheer Beauty is really quite girly and fun. I would proudly display this bottle on my dresser.

The main notes according to my nose are as follows; fresh jasmine, green, zesty bergamot, musk, sandalwood and a subtle hint of red berries. I unfortunately couldn't detect the peach bellini accord on my skin.

If I had a bottle of Sheer Beauty, I honestly don't think I'd wear it very often. I'd save the bottle for Summer, but would probably forget about it when the weather is most appropriate. I would recommend that you buy it only if you truly love it and know that you'll wear it often.

Blind buy that I regret. I thought I'd like it because the votes on here say it smells like Rumeur Rose 2. There is a vague similarity but this one has a bitterness to it. Something like sour berries. Completely disappears at record speed.

Very fresh, soft fragrance yet very feminine. Never thought I'd feel so attached to this. Love it now. This is the kind of fragrance that you give the personality to it and make it special to yourself.

A lovely light, fresh skin scent that's great for casual and professional wear and particularly good in hot weather. The notes I notice the most are bergamot (top note), peony, lily and musk (middle notes) and more musk, vanilla and sandalwood (base notes). It's a very dry and clean perfume, not sweet at all, and the base notes give it a bit of sensuality. Lasts for about 3 hours on me before it starts to fade but it has a habit of appearing to fade and then reappearing with subtle wafts of musk and vanilla. I usually respray after 3-4 hours which isn't too bad for an eau de toilette and it's fairly inexpensive for a high end perfume so I don't mind reapplying.

I like it because it´s so light and fruity on me. Suitable for women but for girls too. Just one problem is longevity. Nothing. Maybe 5 minutes. I know that some frags from CK have poor longevity..
If it had longer staying power I would buy it.
Give it a try. Maybe it could stay longer on you.

I'm currently looking for a light scent for summer. I asked for suggestions and the beauty counselor at the store made me try this. On the paper, it wasn't so bad so tried it on my wrist. After a while, I tried smelling it but couldn't quite detect the smell so asked her to spray once more. Five minutes later, as I smelled it, it just intoxiated me! Very harsh chemical like! As I looked for the notes, later on, it surprised me 'cos it's apparently fruity which are often sweet. This was far from it!

It's so generic, lacking of personality, easy to forget, comming from a big fashion powerhouse that I am now quite more respectful to shampoo, air fresheners, machine washers soap's fragances.
And soon will be reviewing them in a blog like this one.

Light, fresh, well blended skin scent, perfect for spring and summer. Yes it's a bit boring but it's also very pretty, as is the bottle and the colour. Less sweet and fruity then you would expect from the notes. This reminds me of Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh without the raspberry/pear/litchi notes (and the juvenile bottle top). My new summer scent!

Tried the other day on wrist .thought it was lovely ,soft floral with a refreshing fruitiness .Took a second spray and went on my way ...the dry down become very sharp synthetic and annoying !Shame because it had promise at the start .

Like Chance Eau fraiche this is very generic. Pretty, but nothing new or unusual, just no distinctive personality.

I guess CK were aiming at a Chance Eau Fraiche type fragrance that would please everyone - any age, any fashion, any weather...anyone else find this one a little Zzzzzzzz?

Instead of being universally appealing (like ChanceEF) I find SB a bit middle-of-the-road, banal, bland....dare I say it, down-right-dull.

This does not mean that Sheer Beauty is unpleasant in any way - it really isn't. SB is nice & safe & as pleasant as a clean & fruity shampoo, a £1 body spray, a spring-flowers room deoderiser....but who is going to part with good money for that? Not me.

To break it down: I can easily detect that generic CK lemon-butter-biscuit base (found in CKin2U et all) with a thin, watery-red-berry note & an all too familiar sharp-floral with a touch of jasmine. A high-pitched, cleaned-to-a-bleach-white synthy musk whines like tinnitus from first spritz to dry-down. There is a strong alcohol finish to this scent - not far off a cologne - with a sour, wilted stems edge. Add a shot of some aspartame-filled bitter citrus drink & you just about have it.

Lasts a few hours with a tame projection & not much development - lasts gasps are of a sour, washing-powder musk.

So who will buy it? Those who need a clean, unobtrusive scent for work....perhaps. Chanel-worshipers .......possibly. People who are a little confused by scent & enjoy the safety of the body-spray.......Zzzzzzzz. Sorry, I just lost interest.

Tried this the other day. At first I really liked it...but five minutes into it...not so much. I find the fruit overpowers the flowers, which is not my preference. I think I like the original better.

I do like Sheer Beauty better than the original, although I definitely don't like it enough to buy a bottle. It's basically a simple, light jasmine scent brightened a bit by tart fruit and anchored by warm musk and sandalwood. Surprisingly, it isn’t sweet. I was expecting, from the bellini and red berry notes listed, that this would be on the sugary side. But the bergamot and peach bellini actually add some nice tartness. The jasmine is still the most prominent note, as it was in the original Beauty. Many CK scents have a slightly masculine, cologne-like feel for me, and this is no exception. While I have to agree with the majority here that this fragrance isn't anything exciting, I do think it's better than the original Beauty (which I found to be extremely bland and screechy). Sheer Beauty has a citrusy bite and slightly masculine drydown that make it a hint more appealing.

I have been waiting to test Sheer Beauty for a long time now and I was excited to see it today in a store.
The scent was exactly what I was expecting: soft, nice fruity floral. And as I tought from the notes already: VERY similar to Mariah Carey`s Luscious Pink. They share the notes bellini, bergamot, pioni, musk and sandalwood. The different is that LP has Tiare flower and Lily of the valley. And SB has Jasmine, Lily and Red berries. I don`t really smell the berries, so I don`t think I would separate these two easily...
That beeing said, I really like this! It`s not a masterpiece or original, but very lovely and easy to wear. I might even get a bottle...

Surprised by this one, much better than the original Beauty which did nothing for me.

On me, the pink lily emerged ahead of the subtle florals, and with only the faintest hint of berry. A bit like a cross between Eclat d'Arpege and Sensi. This one, is worthy of consideration. Lasted 4 hours.

It's a nice, clean scent. Nice as in not annoying, not stinking. But it isn't beautiful or good either.
I can't really make out any notes.
Sheer Beauty smells exactly the same as so many thousands of other perfumes.
Strong alcohol scent, fresh, clean, with a synthetic interpretation of flowers.
It's not offensive, not a big "in your face" scent. It's just the smell of a deodorant.
Not horrible, not extremely good. Just simply not worth your money.

I was SOOOO inspired to test this one, because it is told that it is very like Chanel eau Fraiche, as this is one of my favourite perfumes, I tested today Beauty Sheer....WHERE IS THE SIMILARITY????????? Beauty has nothing to do with Chanel eau fraiche,can't see nothing in common, except that Both of them are fresh fragrances and that's it.
Will not buy, nothing special...fresh, light , neutral scent.

Very nice;fresh and young smell but I am disapointed.Ck sheer is the same as my favorite Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche.Has alsow a tint of Sensi White Notes by Giorgio Armani.Two of my favorites in One Ck Sheer.I dont understand why souch a great company like Ck makes reamakes of others best selling perfumes.Shame on you dear Calvin Klein.After Euphoria all Ck fragrances are disapointments.

Boring as Hell...

No more interesting than the utterly mediocre Beauty. It's fleeting, sharp with no natural softness and, yet again has that generic synthetic 'freshness' which seems to take the starring role in all hastily cobbled together modern scents. The colour is pretty but that's it. I cannot actually pick out any notes at all. Buy a nice shampoo and deodorant to obtain a similar effect more cheaply.

Calvin Klein Company dreamed of a fresh fruity frolal fragrance, and with Sheer Beauty they got it! Unfortunately, the scent is almost a full copy of Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche, maybe less sparkling and citrusy.

Next Calvin Klein Fragrance: Nothing But Ethanol Pour Femme
