Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum by Cartier is a Floral fragrance for women. Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Mathilde Laurent.

Cartier Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum comes out in September 2013 as a new version of the original scent Baiser Vole from 2011. Like the entire line, it also captures the scent of lily flower. Mathilde Laurent made sure that this time it is a lily in full bloom. Lily in full bloom accord, including petals and leaves, is highlighted by Bourbon vanilla.

“In this Essence de Parfum, we smell a lily in full bloom. It is a very soft, intense, voluptuous scent, as if we could bring our nose to the heart of the calyx. The open bloom offers up its sensuous perfume of vanilla notes while remaining light and lively,” said Mathilde Laurent.

The fragrance is available in bottles of 40 and 80 ml.

Lily and glazed donuts. No I’m not exaggerating lol
It’s so expensive now

I am totally in love with Cartier Baiser Vole edp. A bouquet of fresh white lilies. Been wanting a full bottle of Cartier Baiser Vole edp as a birthday gift for myself. Almost bought it, but I have a bunch of friends who understands me so well. They bought Cartier Baiser Vole essence de parfum for my birthday gift! I am screaming! This is a deeper version of Cartier Baiser Vole edp. Same greenish lilies with a hint of vanilla, not a sweet vanilla, only to make this perfume much deeper and would be a perfect lilies for colder days. I adore on how sleek and chic the bottle is. This is a perfection in a bottle ❤️

This is beautiful realistic lily. I've been looking for a lily perfume that smelled true to nature. The vanilla bourbon mixed with lily is spectacular. Its unique and tantalizing. Very pretty perfume.

VanillaTabbyCat1963

I love the EDP so much. It is so realistic. This version has a wonderful unsweet but rich vanilla, not unlike what is experienced in Shalimar. It seems to wear closer on me than the EDP, which is strange because it is rich. Will have to revisit at a later time to see if I am just anosmic.

I blind bought a big bottle of this (sealed, for a very good price) after reading some rave reviews. When it arrived and I liberally sprayed my arm, the first thing I thought was 'what the hell did I just do? why oh why do I insist on blind buying?" Surely this could not be Cartier. Upon first impression, it was just unbelievably loud, with a synthetic (and rather shampoo-ish) lily accord and a drydown that reminded me, of all things, of Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion. I decided right then and there to give it away to my mother, but something inside told me to give it a second shot, which I fortunately did.

This is essentially a lily-vanilla bomb (I really don't get any other notes). The florals are very much done in that early 90's big, loud and clean way, but the vanilla soon appears and gives it a distinctly gourmand edge (think of sweet, thick-layered vanilla cake). It's an unusual (for me) combo, and it took me a while to get used to it, but once I did I began to appreciate how boldly declarative it is.

It's by no means a discreet perfume - what it has to say, it speaks in loud tones. Sillage and longevity are excellent, and the far drydown, with its creamy quiet sweetness, is my favourite part of this fragrance. It has a brightness to it that makes me think of summer, but it's way too sweet and persistent to wear on hot days (but good for cooler summer nights). With the right amount of spraying (as in not too much), it should do well on all seasons. It's a versatile, very feminine and also somewhat seductive scent (it happens to be one of my husband's favourites on me). It's not like everyhting else on the market and it's got personality to spare.

It's not super hard to find where I live (I still see it in some stores), but I hear it's been discontinued. In any case, I'd say try before you buy (even if you're already a Baiser Volé fan), as the sweetness may be too much for some.

There is a new Baiser Vole coming...Baiser Vole Parfum. Shows notes of tonka and lily. Maybe will come close to this one? It's available for Pre order on Saks.

The original Baiser Vole is my favorite perfume, so much so that I keep multiple sized bottles (1.7, 3.4...) for emergencies. You never know when Carter will discontinue a fragrance, like they did with Delices EDP for example, my other favorite. BV is a classic scent, yet it is still youthful; It is green, powdery, fresh, and sweet, but it is not sweet in a sugary way. Fast forward to BV Essence, and I've fallen in love for a second time. Baiser Vole Essence is what happens when Baiser Vole has a love-child with vanilla. The Vanilla slightly amps up the sweetness, but not in a sickening way. It is an elegant sweet, and it is sexxxxxy because of this.

Now to the unfortunate part, this fragrance is discontinued. There are bottles floating around the perfume dimension for niche prices, but they are rare. I managed to locate a pack of twelve 1.5ml sample vials for a reasonable price, but it does not offer the same experience as having and holding the beautiful BV bottle in ones hand. Hopefully, my dreams will come true soon, and I'll have a full bottle of BV Essence in my collection.

This is my mother in law's signature, so I'm kind of biased. She's an ambitious classy woman, and I feel like this fragrance fits so perfectly with her. This is an old-school perfume, a classic that you don't smell everywhere; that gives it some exclusiveness. Its silage is powerful at least the old one, I don't know about reformulations.

jaguarundina

this is a fantastic perfume essence. I love flowers and I love white flowers. when Lilies drive you crazy out of love for them then this is the perfume to have in your surroundings. I love roses and white flowers when they are abundant and ébullient to a sickening degree. the J.A.R.'s Diamond Water, Golconda and Jardénia, and from van Cleef & Arpels the 'Lys Carmin' of the Exclusive Collection. in the Netherlands, thus on the Northern Hemisphere, there is a shrub with white flowers (Ligustrum, Privet) which have a bewitching, yes almost sickening narcotic scent. I love it; my dad almost had to puke. it is the piss accord which befalls you right from the start and then the enormous assault of Indoles. it is the blue cheese in the Gardenia, the terpenes and camphor in the tuberose and roses can be demandingly sweet and hostageing. haunting. this all is a tad softer within this perfume but it still is a realistic Lily. the Vanilla is masterfully crafted while not domineering. I always have loved Cartier: 'Must', the original 'Panthère'. their scents exude chicness and exclusivity. a wonderful edition and a jewel of a flacon.

Anamandy

Too much vanilla. It drowns out all the other notes, which are relegated to the background. If you like a little lily with your vanilla, that's what you'll get here. I personally prefer the eau de parfum. It puts the emphasis on the Lily and other florals and smells more natural. Other than that, this is much the same as the edp except for the vanilla overload.

viannesvs

strong lily in a green and spicy kind of way, i dont get too much vanilla like i expected even in the dry down when it gets softer and creamier, which is a shame. regardless it does feel luxurious, fierce even. great lasting power too, would definitely love this if i were more into green notes

Kristen_Marie183

Is this discontinued??
:(

nomoremystery

This is like resting on a lawn chair amongst blooming lilies in the sun, with a tray of vanilla slice sitting on an ornate silver tray nearby. It's a beautiful country holiday home in the spring, comforting and warming. Nice for bed.

Maidenless

I find IRL lilies headache-inducing but I L-O-V-E this! Imagine lily flowers on full bloom, cut off the petals and stamens then soak them altogether into vanilla rum and let them sit for a few days, the result will be Baiser Vole Essense. The greenness and powderiness from lily petals and the indolic, plastic-y headiness from the pollen combined with the creaminess and slight booziness from vanilla rum have given us one of the best, if not THE best, lily fragrances ever!!

AvecPoesie

This is my most preferred version of the Cartier Baiser Vole perfumes. As a fragrance lover with a deep and abiding love for Vanilla, I can say with certainty, this is the most expensive smelling Vanilla scent I've ever owned and worn. By expensive, I don't only mean that the notes smell rather sophisticated and of the highest quality. That is very much the case. This smells expensive in terms of how it unfolds and envelops the wearer. I liken it to smelling like MONEY. PARK AVENUE. OLD MONEY. This perfume smells like GENERATIONAL WEALTH. There is nothing childish or inelegant about the mixture of Vanilla into the Lily concoction. If anything, it is an unusually cohesive relationship. The lasting power of this scent is divine...8+ hours easily. I reach for this whilst wearing cashmere and high heels.

Soan

Very nice lily and powdery vanilla. I was hoping for more of a crisp white lily for spring by layering it with Kate Spade Truly Gracious it gave me my new spring fragrance. For fresh white lily I prefer Anja Rubik Original.

elmccullar

I will review in comparison to Baiser Vole edp. Essence is basically the same scent with added vanilla. Still a beautiful, fresh lily, Only there’s a smooth, creamy vanilla surrounding it. This perfume is like fresh, white lillies dipped in vanilla rum.
Essence is a bit warmer, stronger, and lasts a little longer. I actually prefer the original edp for daily wear. Essence seems like a special occasion scent.

KarlekLila

Gorgeous, full blown, voluptuous lily dipped in creamy golden vanilla. Amazing longevity. I sprayed my palm in Kristiana at 6pm. The scent lasted thru dinner, grocery shopping, freezing temps outside, snow, wind, a hot bath... and I could still smell it this morning when I awoke! Delicious gilded lily, bourbon vanilla heaven indeed.

Luxury Problem

Oh my stars! YES! This is holy grail status juice in here. I love the original Baiser Vole but something about the pure unadulterated floral reads kind of old-ladyish with my skin chemistry, in my opinion. But here, luxurious bourbon vanilla and fresh dewy lilies shine...this smells bright and sweet like the first sunny day of spring. This is a must-have. I’ve died and gone to bourbon vanilla gilded lily heaven. This is everything!

cocofluff

+ Cold gold metal warmed by my skin. The bottle is gold which informs the gold~like scent of this perfume to me.

This fragrance is pure lily with stems to add green freshness and with vanilla to add that extra bit of interest and excitement, the 'roundness' that others speak of. The vanilla is not sweet at all which without warning could be disappointing but as others mentioned it, I was prepared and actually welcomed the addition of this unusual type of vanilla. This scent is quite beautiful. It's a masterpiece.

I love the original Baiser Vole as well as the 2 flankers I have: Essence and Lys Rose. All beautiful and welcomed additions to my small and beloved perfume collection. Magnificient.

EDIT. wearing in summer now. This scent is long lasting now and develops into a beautiful skin scent, like a very nice body cream. I love everything about this perfume. <3

THIS is now mu favorite of the entire Baiser Vole line. It's absolutely stunning!

Smh1191

I had high expectations as I love vanilla and lily. I guess I glorified it and upon trying it, I was mildly disappointed. The vanilla made the lily pull waxy on me, and the vanilla isn't very sweet or syrupy, which is what I had hoped for but may be exactly what others are looking for. I may have to pursue the original lily fragrance and keep my sweet scents separate.

Bubbles1964

Oh. My. God.

This is the holy grail of lily scents. I'm so surprised I fell in love with something so linear. What you get after the first 10 minutes is what you get hours later, and I'm enraptured. I pick up the vanilla note but for me it doesn't dominate the lily.

I'm so enthralled that I immediately ordered a .5 oz of the original Cartier Baiser Vole (lily without the vanilla note). I'm curious to the origins of this beauty. And I agree with the review immediately below me from @justfloral, it does remind me of Guerlain's L'Instant, another one of my loves.

Is it unique? No. Is it sexy? No. Is it niche? Nope. Is it wonderful, simple, intoxicating and natural? Absolutely. And importantly, it won't break the bank. It checks off enough boxes that I can't deny myself, full bottle on the way.

justfloral

It smells exactly like Easter lily (Lilium longiflorum) - white trumpet lily.
Beautiful, cold, lofty.

Very realistic fragrance, I've found all notes typical of Easter lily: sugary narcotic jimsonweed, cinnamic plastic-y balm poplar and resinous note of propolis.

It smells also like jimsonweed because white trumpet lily has scent similar to this night blooming flower. Jimsonweed is lighter, white trumpet lily possess resinous note of propolis (smelling like patchouli + rum + incense). And this resinous note evaporates slowly into jimsonweed.

You can find there traces of 1. yellow azalea (Rhododendron luteum) which smells much heavier than lily with marsh Labrador tea note, 2. korean spice viburnum (Viburnum carlesii) which is maybe more carnation-like but with the same resinous propolis note as well 3. balm poplar buds in the spring (Populus balsamifera).

Baiser Vole Essence de parfum smells like L'Instant EDT(!) without sweetness of vanilla, without the tender note of citrus and plus resinous propolis note. I think both perfumes can be mixed, layered.

I like it better than the original which smells more of Calla lily (Zantedeschia aethiopica) and florist shop.

Edit: @Objestions It's discontinued??? NOOOOOO!

PROS: my version is carcinogen free!! (no BHT, benzophenone nor ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate), but better check ingredients, because there can be other edition of this fragrance)

UnearthlyApothecary

This is my first experience with the Baiser Vole line. I love the austere cold vibe lily gives and the thought of warm vanilla combined with that was intriguing. It was all I expected and more. The florist fridge meets vanilla ice cream analogy is spot on. The vanilla adds a creamy sweetness and It’s very beautiful. One of the best lily scents I have tried. So realistic but there is something very voluptuous here, something more sensual then you would expect. Something kinda “ripe” Narcotic. The silage is rather soft but the scent itself is quite tenacious, I adore it, many thanks to the lovely Objections for allowing me to call this beauty my own.

CeeLeeBee

Sorry to say that Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum is just okay for me. I love the original Baiser Vole, and I'd hoped that the addition of vanilla would make it even better. However, the vanilla feels incongruous with the rest of the composition. It's like opening a florist's refrigerator, breathing in the cold, fragrant lilies, but then someone rudely shoves a bottle of vanilla extract into your face and all you can smell is vanilla - the lilies are still there, but very faintly. And that is what the vanilla smells like here: just plain old vanilla extract.

It's not bad - I don't dislike it - but it's not great, either. The original is beautiful, and the vanilla in Essence de Parfum just distracts from that beauty.

Sol123

This is a truly gorgeous perfume. It has all of the elements from the original Baiser Volé but with added full-bodied creaminess. I have tested many lily perfumes by now, but this one really stands out to me personally.

I bought it as a blind-buy, purely on the assumption that I would like it because of my love for the BV line, and boy was it a good one ! To me this perfume has everything, and it drips of lusciousness.

Definitely gonna need to get my hands on several back-ups.

sarah.brooks

I love this one ..my favorite from this collection they got this one right..one serious parfum right here...

;)

So smooth and the spice of the lily combines beautifully with the creamy vanilla. Once my Lys Soleia runs out I may purchase a full bottle. Not quite the same and I still prefer the Guerlain, but the staying power is way better and at least for now it's easier to find.

minag

Lilies are my favorite flower, and when we first started dating, my now partner would constantly buy them for me. My house was filled with lilies and their gorgeous scent all the time and I loved it. This perfume so perfectly captures the richness and plushness of the scent of those beautiful flowers and takes me back 15 years every time I wear it. It is just the purest most gorgeous lily I've encountered.

I love it in the winter. I love it in the spring. I love it in the summer. And I love it in the fall. It is gorgeous and uplifting in every season and at every time of day and just puts me in the best mood. It lasts throughout the day and into the next (my skin is never dry though, so perfume does tend to linger on me, but this particular perfume lingers longer than most others) and projects moderately for most of that time. I love the original, which is a little more green, but this one I absolutely adore.

Hayley_6

Had a sample of this... very nice feels luxurious and smooth. Lily and sumptuous vanilla makes me feel sunny and gorgeous, you can't help but smile wearing this.

corkscrewcurly

This is so very different to the perfumes I normally love. It's not a spicy or floral oriental, a floral chypre or woody musk. It's not woody, nor is it gourmand... It's simply not "me".

I really don't know what prompted me to look at Baiser Vole in the first place; I love a fair number of the fragrances which appear in the "People who like this also like..." section and recently blind-swapped for Jour d'Hermes - another fragrance outside my comfort zone and loved THAT, too. When I saw a 15ml bottle of Baiser Vole Essence selling for a ridiculously low sum on eBay, it seemed rude not to buy it.

I love the smell of fresh lilies and Mathilde Laurent has captured the scent perfectly. The perfume is gently and naturally sweet, with vanilla rounding out and smoothing - but not overwhelming - the lilies beautifully. What a gem! I am now in the market for a larger bottle, as my little one isn't going to last long during the hot weather we've been experiencing in the SE of England.

Baiser Vole Essence seems an ideal fragrance to wear during hot and sultry days.

IndigoEye

For a long time I skirted over the Baiser Volé bottles, always sampling the much more fun looking Panthère selection, but I have been recommended this range a few times as a cool, classy scent, so I gave the range a try.

The Essence de Parfum opens with green notes, not unlike the bitter milk you get from dandelion stems, and then becomes floral, milky, peppery and soft with musk and vanilla. The drydown is lightly spiced - I could swear I catch a faint smell of frankincense and pepper.

None of this ever sounded like the kind of thing I would go for: I like mood and drama so normally choose scents where the scent pyramid is stacked with patchouli, spices or incense. However, the pyramid does not do justice to the rich breadth and evolution of this perfume. It is certainly a lot more than lily and vanilla! However, both the lily and vanilla are beautiful: realistic, expensive-smelling, never cloying.

And this does have mood. Yes, it is pretty and soft, powdery and feminine, but it has a cool attitude - the green and peppery notes - that add an aloof quality. In a film noir, this would be the good girl's scent - she is not the badass of the femme fatale but she still has style and she's much easier to live with.

amourdelarose

Am I the only one that hated it?? There's something pungent about it, like a really bad job of tonka bean or something.. I really like both the EDT and the EDP but this is just horrid. Definitely not a safe blind buy.

tiababy

This is like a full, ripe blooming lily with the green stem freshly cut, dipped in golden velvety vanilla. It smells delicious and extremely elegant at the same time. I love it!!

Carriewlin

The older I get the less stuff I want to manage. I find myself purging my house of things I don't use, things that are broken, things I realize I don't love anymore. My closet is starting to become more streamlined, shaping into a lovely capsule wardrobe. I can feel my attention being pulled toward my insanely large perfume collection. It's whispering at me, also begging to be streamlined. I love my perfumes, but I know many of them are going to end up being sold or given away. Soon it will be time to decide which fragrances are special enough to keep, the ones I decide are the best examples of their category. I can tell you right now, this will be one of the keepers.

Papavero0

This is a classical scent (how many times have you heard that one, ha? :) It truly is though! A beautiful warm, elegant, just a tiny bit powdery, comforting vanilla scent. I have to admit I was a bit scared by the lily (blind bought it, I know I shouldn't have! And I would like to take this opportunity to advise against blind-buying :)), but I shouldn't have: this is superb. Such a beauty from Cartier...This feels so festive (not Christmas-winter festive, but sparkling glowing spring Easter festive!)

Ekho

It is Baiser Vole (green fresh lilies) with less green and plenty of vanilla added in for a smooth creamy richness. The lilies are still vivid, and some greenness plays around, coming and going as it wills. The powdery vanilla does overpower the lily however. It's a toss up whether I like this more or less than the original. Mostly, I just like it 'different'. It's better for a day when one would like to feel opulent rather than crystalline. This floral gourmand is beautiful, tender, and soft. It could be a nice choice for a wedding scent.

Edemay

Thank you thank you thank you!
To everyone that suggested this to me :)
Its exactly what i was looking for. Its sharp, cold, yet powdery and has that beautiful vanilla that softens it up, balances out with the lily and makes this one beautiful perfume.

Ediit: this is such an ethereal perfume and i love wearing it on warm nights
its like a breath of fresh air, when i spray it i feel refreshed and relaxed.

Addict2Perfume

Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum by Cartier is a rare floral-gourmand treat! Lilies are often thought of as a cold, distant, and sharp smelling flower (people often associate them with funerals) while vanilla is a warm, sweet, welcoming scent that most people really enjoy. The contrast in this fragrance is so alluring! Light meets dark as the icy demeanor of the lily slips away to the warm, sumptuous vanilla heart. I could imagine a very stern, wealthy, intelligent, hard-working woman who appears to have it all - yet is very lonely wearing this. This fragrance is her meeting her one true love and falling head-over-heels. Tears of joy. Tragedy turned into romance. This perfume tells a story like a beautifully written poem or song. Gorgeous fragrance!

marylu

Elegance and femininity were the first things which came to mind when I tried this beautiful creation. It's not an everyday fragrance. This is the perfume to wear on a special night out, or for those moments when you want to make lasting memories. Soft, and utterly feminine.

It lasts for hours on my skin. The vanilla is smooth and voluptuous from beginning to end. It's sweet, yes, but not candy sweet. I get the barest hint of lily and a touch of powder which adds to it's appeal and keeps it from becoming just another vanilla fragrance. I find it somewhat similar to Dolce & Gabbana's The One. Simply gorgeous.

Kmam

I bought this by accident thinking it was the original (eBay + wine = margin for error) but what a happy accident!

It's got the lovely smooth, linear lily accord of the original but the vanilla warms it up just a touch and seems to help it project a bit too. Absolutely freaking gorgeous.

Ebrouskha

Such a classy scent!definitely not a teenager perfume,it belongs to strong, confident and affectionate women who knows how to handle life and also enjoy it. Opens with a strong, clean lily then comes soft romantic vanille. This perfume has a bold and unique character, A perfect choice of signature if you like sexy but also sophisticated scents.
A masterpiece, bravo Mathilde Laurent.

saintleegray

As a gourmande lover I wasn't sure I would like this, but I really love the baiser vole so I wanted to try one this, since it seemed very similar but with vanilla. This is SO PRETTY. Just sweet and elegant and soft. Not something I would wear to make a statement really, but I think this would be lovely for a dinner out, something you would dress up for. A good date perfume, not too choking, maybe a good office fragrance too. The flowers are so understated and the vanilla is balanced so right. Perfection.

Angelica 000

Superb! Everything I wished it would be, voluptuous, intoxicating Lilies.Very, very sexy.

mymlan

I've just finished a 40 ml bottle of this beauty. I was looking for something that smelled like my lillium orientalis, and this perfume actually does. It smells a bit muted but so so lovely. I strongly recommend it if you love sweet lillies, not as harsh as they smell in real life, but beautiful as that. It's a lovely fragrance in all. Longevity, meduim - long. Sillage, moderate to heavy.

ScarlettX

A very very strong and concentrated mix of lily and vanilla. Strongly, overwhelmingly sweet and white floral at the same time. I liked original better.
This is just too much, unnecessarily overdone version of the original.

AllyWillems

Ahhh, I do like this a lot. It smells just like lillies, with a touch of sweetness, so if you don't like the smell of lillies do not get this! I am waiting on this in the post and it does make me feel womanly, as a 19 year old. I'd wear this to work when I want to umpf it up a bit or with a beautiful evening dress out to dinner or a party.

It's also quite seductive, think a classy version of Gucci Guilty. Would work great on dates.

heymoe9

I brought this perfume to work to share and it was a split decision with my coworkers. On myself the Lily is very prominent, and it was all I could smell on everyone who tried it. It was very strong and I was trying to remember why I wanted this so bad.
After an hour of wrinkling my nose, the magic kicked in, soft, lovely, smooth vanilla with just a smack of Lily to make it exciting. Now I realized what it was that made me want this.
Of the 5 women that tried it, 3 loved it right off, I was skeptical in the beginning, but it was a real pleasure after an hour and worth the wait. The last women smelled of Lily for the duration of the perfume and really disliked it.
All in all this was a very big hit. I reapplied it when I took my evening shower and even the Lily was smoother to me. Yummy stuff.

victoria.mei1992

Strong lily. Suffocating.

chrisndema

A very elegant sophisticated scent. At first i get that sharp greeness of fresh picked flowers in this case the lillies then in the middle i get a lotiony scented musky smell. At this point i have images of a woman whos prim and proper like u would expect royalty to behave. The dyrdown is the best part as the vanilla comes in and its creamy and refined. Its beautiful i think for very formal occasions.

andy1959

Wow, is this nice and at the same time elegant, simple and comfortable to wear. But yes, you have to like sweet and cozy scents. I know that I love this so much. There is absoulutely nothing synthetic. Very nice lily and a gorgeous vanilla.
If you want to feel comfortable and relaxt, but not in a sheap way, this is right.
Not only for young woman, only two perfect notes, loooooooooooove

Vegas Pauli

This kind of surprised me and not in the best way. Im a fan of the EDT and EDP of the Baiser Vole line. I think they smell of a beautiful sparkling floral with a clean note that is classic Cartier. This "Essence" is a two note scent, lily and vanilla. While it's nice and rich, the vanilla is very gourmand to me, like when you bake using vanilla. As others commented I also get a banana note in it which is not unpleasant, it just adds to the sweetness even more. A touch of patchouli or oud would have added a layer of much needed depth to this. When worn it warms up and the sweet rich vanilla smells good, its just not overly sophisticated or elegant. If you like this scent, stock up. Something tells me it won't be around long.

hdmc_2000

Just got this a few days ago....Not disappointed at all. The lily was strong to me at first, but then it settles down into a creamy vanilla banana scent that lasts all day on me. Good for anywhere. Not overpowering or heavy.I can see myself wearing this a lot! :)

Leparfumdelys

On my skin, this EDP was a strong vanilla scent. Not the artificial, chemical vanilla you know from cheap home deodorants, but precisely the smell you get when you cut and sniff a real vanilla pod. I could barely smell the lily, I picked it up only a couple of hours later, when the vanilla slowly started stepping back a bit, still remaining the predominant note though. Longevity was at least 6 hours and sillage fairly strong.
As a fan of lily, I was disappointed by this scent. I prefer the regular Baiser Vole EDP as in that one I can definitely feel the lilies.
I would recommend this to vanilla lovers!

sky blue

This is a bit too sweet at first for my taste, then it settles into a smoky-vanilla scent with the slightest hard to detect lily. After 3-4 hours is the best: round, creamy, caramelly vanilla wit a trace of warm, not sharp, lily. This is seriously elegant, rich, but not cloying Floral/Semi-Gourmand. I prefer EDP for a more ethereal quality but I would wear this one in winter or evenings out. Very nice.

Mooniq

Fantaboulous! But a little bit too sweet for my taste. Wonderful, fresh grown up Lily - reminds me of the Lily-note in Van Cleef Lys Carmin. Warm, round, powerful, caremel'ish Vanilla - like the Vanilla-note in D&G The One. 1 spray goes along way, Longlasting and powerful.

Otrolig!

So

Superb ! So simple and elegant and ...perfect !

jedrzejowskia

Tested this on today and it stood out amongst the lutens and others.

It's a bombastic lily, dipped in a sweet creme brulee. Lily can't be edible can it? This is close to it. It's nearly a floral gourmand which for me would be a novelty.
Also, and this is my nose playing tricks on me maybe but.... I smell freshly peeled banana instead of lily and vanilla. So in my nose it alternates between lily and banana, and it's very entertaining. I love this but need to try a few more times before committing to fb.

Edited: FB coming up!!! Yeah!

OOhh! CARTIER! well anyway at first when u sprayed it like 3x only the smell will be all over your place i swear. I received a comments already downstairs saying i have a good smell where in fact i haven't spray that much.. i still have the bottle too.. i dont really want to finish the bottle itself. i'm trying to keep them and just keep it right there lol.

This is a deeper , sweeter , more powdery version of the EDP ,it has no sharp edges and just a few green notes , it's just a big powdery vanilla lily that is very well blended , soft and subtle , taken in to the oriental direction. It's slightly soft peppery , it has a touch of spice coming from the lily . And somewhere a touch of lemon ? If I were to guess the obvious notes I would say, vanilla, lily and some citrus or soft green note.

Romantic and classic , subtle and soft, sweet and powdery, baiser vole essence is a beautiful creation , and maybe my favorite of them all.

In comparison the EDP IS fresher and soapier, what I love about the EDP is how it settles , smells like a good expensive shampoo to me. Fresh and clean!

lizakaya

This is heaven. Leads with a blast of soft, lush lily and follows through with middle notes of boozy vanilla. As the scent progresses, the vanilla and lily get equal playing time on the field, taking turns rising from the warmth of my skin. This is a fragrance I can see wanting in my collection for life. Golden happiness in a bottle.

therealpaloma54

Could anyone here compare the Baiser Vole fragrances with Goutal's Songes?

victoria.mei1992

Suffocating, vanilla similar to Elie Saab Couture.

antfarm

At first, this fragrance frightened me--the lily-vanilla combination did not work during the wet stage, and the two notes were at odds with each other like rock-em-sock-em robots.

Now, a half hour later, this is SOOO gorgeous and oh-so femme. It smells like a white, lotiony river with the heads of fresh lilies floating on the surface. Soft, creamy, and elegant. I'm impressed with how it really sank into my skin and became one with me.

LaUna

Crisp spring floral on initial spritz, that quickly develops into warm spicy vanilla scent.
Vanilla is quite powerful here. I also find (not listed) amber and hint of tuberose.
As for Lilly scent I can barely smell them as flowers so this must be concentrated version of lilies.
The perfume ends with soft floral-vanilla notes and stays close to the skin. About 3-4 hours of wear. Day or Evening depending on your preference.

woodlandwalk

This has the same lovely peppery lily of Baiser Vole eau de Parfum, but it's rounder, more sensual and sweeter with a richer vanilla.(the eau de parfum does have a very subtle vanilla) It's not candyfloss-like though and smells natural.

I see that most people have categorised it as an Autumnal or Spring scent, but I'd also enjoy this on summer evenings when it wil create a lovely sunny exotic sillage. It's sunnier than the eau de parfum, which I'd say is very suited to spring.

I'd agree it's similar to L'Instant, but without the same heavy honey/beeswax, though there is a beeswaxy note to this essence de parfum. However it's lighter and more floral in feel than L'Instant - I'd say overall a better balance

I think I love the eau de parfum and this equally, but the original eau de parfum is lighter and easier to wear for most occasions.

Sillage moderate, longevity excellent

moreorlessa

Very similar to the EDP, but with a creamy but grown up bourbon vanilla...took me a while to "get" the vanilla here. It's obvious now, but my mind always associated vanilla with that sweet, icecream flavour type of vanilla, and here's it's barely sweet, but refined, sober and old-wordly. Maybe I'm insane, but I almost get the impression I am smelling a woody oriental. It's so creamy, warm, velvety and seductive...can't wait to get my hands on a bottle of this!

EternityFresh

This is my first Cartier and I really love it. I have always loved lilies, the Casablanca lily being my favorite, but I never found a perfume to showcase the lily in a pleasant fashion until now. I think it's a hard flower to project nicely in a perfume. Smelling them in their natural form is one thing but for some reason certain perfumes that I had tested with lilies always left me feeling like there was something missing. The vanilla mixed in with lily is exquisite. Cartier nailed it!

denncita

Definitely elegant, definitely creamy, rich and strong lily note. Smells like a lily flower in a sunny spring afternoon. Very pretty and better than the original. The vanilla gives it that depth the original lacks. Beautiful!

JaiTee

This was very gourmand, very sweet on me (result of my skin chemistry; ymmv.)

I sniffed Baiser Vole EDP before I tried this one, and I definitely prefer Baiser Vole. I'm uncomfortable with how ripe Essence is.

Loverly! When the SA handed me a scented card in the shape of a white flower tiara, I had to stop and smell the fleur. I took my spray sample home to give it a proper test and loved it so much that I got a full bottle as soon as I could! It opens with velvety blooms with their stems freshly snapped. A few minutes later, add to that a warm, buttery vanilla with none of the booze. This stays very much floral but more of the whole flower than an isolated note. This is heavenly on a cool, sunny, spring day. Elegant without wandering into posh territory. Refined without losing its nature. Silage is soft to moderate with a single spray, and longevity is 6+ hours.

BANANA!!!
A warm, smokey, boozy vanilla banana liquer!!!
LOVE IT but longetivity is not good :(

blaiseantoine

this is heaven in a bottle ,a precious lily flower enriched with a soft vanillic touch ,one of the best feminine fragrance in the last months

Cartier Baiser Volé Essence de Parfum opens with a straightforward lily. This lily scent is clearly inherited from the original Baiser Volé, a little green besides the floral sensation, but without the peppey aspect, which makes the lily a little bit more abstract than in the opening of the original version.

After about 20 minutes, vanilla becomes more and more prominent, and for the next hour, almost overshadows the lily. I'm less fond of this stage as the vanilla here at this point, seems to have a smidgen too much of sugar mixed in to my liking.

Fortunately as the fragrance wears, it becomes more balanced, with vanilla brought down to the same level as the lily. This part of the drydown, about 2 hours after the spray until the end, is my favourite part of Baiser Volé Essence de Parfum. The lily here still maintains a little green aspect, and it rolls all around on a soft, fluffy vanilla bed, like a slightly sweeter and warmer version of the original Baiser Volé.

The sillage is moderate on me and the longevity is at least 10 hours. I personally prefer the more soliflore original Baiser Volé a little more and I find Essence de Parfum a little too sweet at one point, but I still enjoyed it quite a lot. Overall, Essence de Parfum is undoutedly feminine, elegant and romantic. If you happen to find the original too green, too cold or too peppery, or you just happen to be interested in a vanilla floral fragrance, you should probably give Baiser Volé Essence de Parfum a try.

Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum is quite lovely. You can tell that it's part of the Baiser Vole line, but it is somewhat different from its predecessor. At first spray, the bourbon vanilla overpowered the composition and left me wondering if I'd like it, but in a short time the vanilla calmed and the scent blended nicely. While the dry-down of the original Baiser Vole is a straighforward lily with a soft, sweet, subtly smoky scent, Essence de Parfum is rich in boozy sweetness among its flowers. I'd say it's the sexier of the two, though both are suitable for daytime wear. I like it quite a bit, and aim to acquire a bottle soon.

lovescents999

I just bought a bottle of this amazing scent and had to write a review as soon as i got home. After trying and spraying several fragrances at the store, this one came coming up through the fumes of the surrounding perfumes. It's sooooo super creamy and soft, and just gorgeous!!! The vanilla and lily dry down to this amazing silkiness and it never change, even after an hour. The sillage is pretty impressing for such soft fragrance. I'm in love! I would say it does smell like a very soft jasmine flower on my skin.

NicoleET88

I've sampled the original a few times and tried to love it, but it never captured a true lily for me, and without any creaminess whatsoever it was something of a departure from my usually favored fragrances. But this version seems to have been created with me in mind. The lily is more realistic, and does smell as if it's in bloom. The sharp, metallic soapiness of the original is gone with the wind, and the kiss of vanilla smooths everything out and brings me to my comfort zone, while maintaining a certain uniqueness among any scents I've smelled in recent days. It's all lily, touched with soft, sweet vanilla...and I like that.

Kittycat63

I'm amazed to read all the gushing reviews for this perfume ! !

Thanks to a very kind Fragrantican, who I've done previous swaps with and who, very kindly, recently sent me a package of goodies, including a sample of this, I've had a chance to try this but sadly it's not a perfume that suits me or that I find particularly appealing, and I was hoping to like it a lot more than I actually do!

My first impression of this was an overwhelming, and slightly suffocating, blast of lilies (and I think lilies in perfumes don't appeal to me too much) mixed with a lot of sugariness. I was hoping that it would settle down after a few minutes and mutate into something more pleasant to my nose but, sadly, it didn't and, in fact, I found it so cloying that I decided to wash it off as quickly as I could before it made me feel queasy! Despite that though, it's still clung onto me, and the sleeve of my top, like a limpet and won't let go. Of course, that staying power will be a very good thing for lovers of this perfume but not so much for me!

The artificial sweetener kind of smell (very like saccharin) of this perfume reminds me a lot of Franck Olivier by Franck Olivier and, despite my love of quite a few sweet perfumes, this is just too sickly sweet for my liking. I might give it another go at some point, if I'm brave enough, to see whether it smells better on me on a different day!

So far though, this is not a big hit for me, although I'm very grateful to my Fragrantican pal to have given me the opportunity to try it for myself.

ClaudiaA1

This one smells of vanilla on me, rather than lily. This is a downside, because, this way, it's not worth the price. The bottle is adorable, too bad the juice is not wonderful yet!

UPDATE: I gave my sample to a friend and, on her, you can really smell the lily in all its might. There is only a trace of vanilla.

MymoMymo

I sow the coments here about this perfum and bought it "blind", I asked for my doughter in low to buy overseas because in Brazil perfumes are very expensive. My opinion is that it is really beautiful. It is strong but classy. A very different essence.

flamingjune5dwj

A velvety sumptuous beauty.

This has certainly stolen me.

It opens a bit sharp, with the pinch of the bourbon and the green of the leaves and stem of the lily, but wait... just wait. This flower will bloom for you, into a rich sweet, but not overly so, blossom - that is as others have said, so soft, elegant, and feminine. Just two notes here, so well composed, the vanilla bourbon entices the lily to show all of herself to you. The two are entwined, and they dance so beautifully if you let them mingle - on me about 20 minutes after the initial spray, they are like lovers coming together. My god this is just so beautiful to me! As the name suggests, this perfume is for the sweetness of stolen kisses, the passion of seduction, and great loves.

I think longevity and sillage are wonderful - just enough to entice the one for whom you're longing. The sprays to my wrists applied yesterday evening are still very present, albeit softer and more powdery - as if the last of the nectar of the bud has opened, and is being carried away by the warm of a gentle wind.

I agree that this is the stuff signature scents are made of, and for the time being, I too have just found mine.

Gina Lungu

It's elegant, classy and wonderful! My signature!

SeleneHdez

Muy parecido al Baiser Vole EDP, pero con más vainilla, hermosísimo!

Adjames

I agree...smooth and romantic. On my skin it is better and not as sharp as the original. Great for evening. The bourbon vanilla creates an enticing pairing with the lily, making it sexy "in a forbidden way". Very classy.....tempting.....demure. I will go back and purchase it tomorrow! Even though it is light and non-obtrusive, it may be too sensual for the office. A must have for date night or when you want to flirt!

ulricha

Today, strolling through a store, I got a whiff of Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum. The shop assistant handed me a scented paper strip, and I kept on strolling. 10 minutes later I turned back, and after trying it on my skin I was sure it’s a must have perfume. It’s an absolutely precious scent of lily and vanilla – warm, powdery and very elegant.

kinetisphere

stolen kiss. god this smells so delicious and creamy! a heavenly floral with an extract of vanilla poured on top! yummy yummy in my tummy!! :) every time i smell this i get this happy joyful feeling of excitement!

so basic so sensual and lovely. the cartier rep told me a little story about how mathilde laurent wanted to capture the whole aspect of a lily. and it does. you can tell it is more than just an average floral it captures even the scent of a partial green essence also. the bourbon vanilla is such a beautiful contrast and i could not imagine this without it. the original is great but this one takes it up a notch like it truly deserves to be.

i can't think of a simplified 2 note creation like this that engulfs your senses with more then just two scents.

this should be the scent for lovers. ladies take note if you want something special to entice your man.

baiser vole = stolen kiss.

this perfume has my heart and has earned a 8.5 out of 10 to me. silage is good longevity is great and it is a great quality fragrance.

Kaylan

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I love how simple and elegant it is. Lily and bourbon vanilla and that's all you need! This is #1 on my to-buy list. Something about it at first smells a bit like a fresh banana, but it's still great, not too weird. Just weird enough, in fact. The dry down is more vanilla-y. Even my guy friend who doesn't like perfume loved it.

diana_drd

Tried it today with high hopes, because the name suggested a more intense version of the original. I absolutely adore the EDP, but I only get about 5-6h longevity and something like Essence de Parfum sounded tempting. Well, disappointment galore, the original is gorgeous/sophisticated/airy/memorable lily scent, and this one is like a cheaper version of it, the vanilla added realy ruins it for me(it's like the vanilla sugar you use for cake), makes it like any other sweet/vanilla/candy perfume out there. Yes it does last longer, but the original EDP, for me, is way way way better than this

busik

Yes, evening. Not as shrill as the "first fruits", but not subdued, but rather a well-kept. Pieces of wood being felt ... But still bright, unnoticed it will not stay.

shanghaifleur

I sampled this one after the SA at Saks sprayed some on my arm, and I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely this new version smells. Its exactly like it is discribed, voluptuous and in full bloom. I like this version better than the original, its more powdery and has a more lush vibe to it. A very "Audrey Hepburn-like" perfume!...

febloxy

I tried a sample and enjoyed it very much. Sweeter, heavier and less fresh than the original (which I also like a lot). Better suited for evening.

sophiatwli

Can't wait to try this one: I love the original Baiser Vole but sadly after a few minutes I could barely smell it :(

genny17

A high quality lily scent, refined , with a bit of spiciness, elegant, the vanilla kicks in gently in the drydown, it reminds me of Van Cleef Gardenia Petale, in the spicy undertone. Will be perfect in winter, not a casual everyday scent, it will appeal to refined noses, a great Cartier creation, with a classy vibe.

maen

Yes, as the below reviews said, the vanilla makes it more "gourmand", sweeter, always balanced. The lily offers a different edge from previous editions, is like in its best side, very well mixed.
Utterly feminine, vanilla is from the beginning until the end, in a very sophisticated french way. Long lasting scent, is a pure love.

babouboba

Really really elegant and sweet version of this beautiful perfume. The original is for me too flowery, too classic. The edt too much vegetal, acid, "green" . This version is smooth and romantic. This is a bright and sweet vanilla version. Tx Mathilde ;)

Pout

I have just tested it in the shop. All notes are very bold: pure lily and vanilla and it has a good sillage.
I like it much more then the original. Can be used as a signature scent.

milkyway

Looking forward to trying this! I love the original, and think that a slightly more potent version of it may win even more admirers.
