Chloe Eau de Parfum by Chloé is a Floral fragrance for women. Chloe Eau de Parfum was launched in 2008. Chloe Eau de Parfum was created by Amandine Clerc-Marie and Michel Almairac. Top notes are Peony, Litchi and Freesia; middle notes are Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley and Magnolia; base notes are Virginia Cedar and Amber.

The new eponymous eau de parfum by Chloe is quite a departure from the once-popular tuberose composition of the same name. A light and fresh yet seductively strong and self-possessed scent, the new Chloe fragrance is in no way its predecessor's timid younger sister.

Just like all Chloe's bold, arty and free-spirited designs, the fragrance is feminine in a rather non-traditional, not all-out-girly way. Its accords expertly play against each other and they seduce the audience by being both elegant and daring at the same time.

The fragrance is very versatile, it is intended for everyday use and is more than suitable for becoming someone's unique signature scent. Chloe edp was launched in 2008.

Pretty scent.

SweetEnigmaticSoul

I honestly believe this will be my new spring/summer scent! It smells so fresh, floral and powdery which I truly adore!!!

Scroub

I quite like this. Very floral and soft, a tad bit powdery. The lily makes it smell like youth and innocence. It definitely smells a little juvenile but it's not lacking a certain elegance for it. It has some similarities with Delina (litchi and rose) but I like this one much better. 8.5/10

fragrantbutterfly

I love this perfume. A beautiful scent for sunny spring and summer days. A fresh, bright, clean, sprightly floral with predominant rose and peony. Nothing cloying or sweet. I can understand why it could be too bright and sharp for some people, but it is one of my favourite summer fragrances. It has a strong projection and longevity, so only a couple of spritzes are enough.

Little Principessa

Not a fan. Try it before you buy it!

I have gone to Sephora several times just to spritz Chloe EDP and just let the scent sit on me. I love this scent. I think it’s light and gorgeous. I don’t like floral a lot because my parents were big fans of floral scents. Just constantly smelling it made me a bit sick of it. But nothing can beat the elegance of this scent. It’s like a soft glow smell-wise. The rose note is captured in perfect amount here. Definitely give this scent a chance. I just purchased a bottle and I’m over the moon.

For a perfume launch nearly two decades ago, Chloe EDP aged beautifully! Like a fine wine…It’s one of those cult classic designers scents that had a mass following consistently throughout the years.

I personally think that this is changing because of Delina craze… Sadly, my beloved Chloe EDP seems to be forgotten and everyone is following for the last two years the overhyped Delina La Rosee. Because I have smelled that and I was instantly reminded of Chloe EDP. But this was first of this kind!

Unlike Delina, Chloe EDP has a very good ratio between quality and price. Both have a very mass appealing kind of watery fresh rose/litchi/peony combo with good longevity and projecting, but this can be found for a third of the price of PDM scent for exactly the same amount. The bottle of Chloe might not be light pink, but it’s very elegant and chic looking for sure. It’s a sensual, seductive, luxurious smelling perfume without any doubt!

The way I see Chloe is as a straightforward floral perfume. Opens up with a very pretty rose, peony combo with tropical fruity notes of litchi, a very fresh freesia, watery, delicate magnolia flower and lily-of-the-valley. It’s supposed to have some cedar and amber in the base but they aren’t really detectable in the way the perfume smells. Most likely these notes were added to ground the florals and the litchi and to give the scent more depth and longevity.

It’s one of those spring in a bottle type of scent. Makes me think of early spring, sunny days where the nature comes back to life after a long, hard winter. Personally, Chloe EDP was always a mood booster fragrance for me and got me countless compliments over the years.

Because of the reasons mentioned above, I still prefer Chloe over Delina La Rosee. If you like that, try Chloe EDP and thank me later.

bellaisafraghead

so fresh! layered this with sdj 68 for my hs grad and its already so nostalgic.

VirgowithLeo

I always thought I loved Chloe because I only sniffed through the bottle or on paper strips etc basically just the opening.

However recently I used it /wore and actually paid close attention to the dry down
And finally noticed the Delina scent
That screechy raspberry/litchi type scent

I almost purchased this for nostalgia reason and this was like a big girl perfume to me when I was 16 and always wanted to one either Chloe or Miss Dior etc

But now I am resisting the emotional reasons and the pretty bottles and will not be purchasing this.

asimpleperfumelover

When I think of a perfume or the concept of it, it's always Chloe, that's how iconic this is. To me, this smells like you're hugging a bouquet of pink roses and peonies to your chest while having a walk in the park on a sunny day, in your favorite summer dress.

onjelbercier

Absolutely amazing! It honestly smells like Delina but a bit more innocent/youthful. She's not the oldest sister, she's the agreeable, dreamy middle child. And the notes are more present here than in Delina. It's marvelously fresh and sweet with a slight touch of woodiness. It's not too soapy at all which is a pro in my opinion. I love it!

Damorbidbarbie

If you were looking for a dupe of this perfume, there is a brand called "Flower Knows" that has a Little Angel perfume in the scent "Choir Girl" if you didn't like the Dossier 'Floral Peony' dupe. It just switches the Magnolia note for Pear. Comes in a cute bottle.

pistachioreo

One of my favorite scents. I’d have considered this my signature for years, I tend to experiment more now but Chloe is sort of baseline for my ideal scent DNA. Weirdly I prefer the scent of the rollerball to the full size spray, but maybe that’s just cause I went through so many rollerballs when I was younger and couldn’t afford the full size. I get the litchi, I like that sharpness paired with the white florals and the ambery base does show up on my skin chemistry. I get something aquatic, to me the rose isn’t that prominent compared to the other florals.

akong.111

a very elegant fragrance without leaning too mature. i don't get lychee at all, to me this is entirely floral. very feminine but not feminine in a Pink Sugar or VS way. gives me the vibe of getting ready in a robe in a hotel bathroom? not sure if i'm particularly susceptible to headaches but the sharpness becomes quite unbearable throughout the day enough to make me never reach for it

G0rebloom

Every time I smell this I think of the lady in Aristocats. It's classic, elegant and timeless. No frills, no trendy additions. An expensive hotel bathroom. Very very dependent on individual body chemistry.

Satsuki Shimada

Once I sprayed it on my shirt I got a weak headache instantly after one minute! It's not bad but I didn't like it. I have a half full 1.2 ml sample of this, and I think I'll never finish it!

Kqxede

It’s way too floral for me 😭 it smells like a literal flower with alcohol.

Printeza7

Had it back in 2008, bought it now again, loved it then love it now. Such a fashionable fragrance, screams fashion, cool, cosmopolitan fragrance! So good!

daffodilsandcoffee

This was my signature fragrance for about 5 years, back when I only had ::gasp:: 2 perfumes. These days, my fragrance obsession has led me down a deliciously odorous rabbit hole with a tray full of perfumes and way too many sample vials to count. I still love this DNA and miss having something like this in my collection. Some people find this screechy, but that might only be perceptible to the wearer. When I smell it on other people, it stands out as a solid rosy fresh floral that's classy, feminine, and girly, but not juvenile.

simalyurtsever

I fell in love with this scent when I first sprayed it and was convinced that I found my signature scent (pun intended). However, after a month or so, the scent started to smell weird and synthetic on me. I am smelling something very sour every time I use this on its own. Waiting to see if I would start to love it again after some time

Anarig97

I love the scent of this perfume more on paper than on my actual skin, but this is still a really pretty scent. This feels floral, feminine, and formal. I see this being a signature scent for a lot of my corporate women out there lol. The sillage and longevity were both average, typical for most perfumes. Overall, very pretty and a great staple to any collection.

carrico1986

This scent smells almost identical to delina to me. It is a smoother, less sweet version of it. Or I guess I should say delina is a sweeter, more bold version of chloe since it came out after chloe. I'm really picking up on the rose and the peony in this scent. It reminds me of one of those early spring days where it is warm in the sunshine but freezing in the shadows.

Sweet, innocent and youthful.

imacat88

Sweet powdery rose, I see this as a classic, like old diaries used to smell back in the day (90s)
personally it's not my thing, but it's a good classic.

angelica4444

It’s the epitome of elegance but in the most girly way.

†♡

the most chic perfume ever <3 its so elegant, smells like litchi and beautiful roses, and i find that the sillage is bomb (maybe bc my bottle is old? idk), my dad can smell it at the other side of the room lol. its a very floral scent, but idk why, i find a sweetness in it... like floral sweetness ? it also have a clean smell. it last forever on clothes, but i personally dont like the dry down (after 24h~), smells like old ladies, i cant stand it
it makes you vry confident also ! when you wear this, you are elegant
very feminine and soft ! i recommend !

LoreinaL

This is a beautiful, clean, well blended floral perfume, perfect for a woman who's searching for a feminine signature scent. It's been my signature scent for years as it clings to my skin, leaving behind a beautiful trail anywhere I go. The magnolia is the stand out note for me at first spray, with the rose and amber lingering in the dry down. I wear this layered with the body lotion and I am able to achieve an even longer longevity (8+ hours) and stronger projection. This would be a great scent to wear in the spring, to a garden wedding outdoors. This could work as an evening scent for a young lady. Overall, this scent is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend.

PurlyGirl

I think I prefer more subtle floral balanced with lower woody notes, and this is just straight up floral. It doesn't punch you in the nose with peonies and roses as much as Gucci Bloom, but it's it's pretty close. I have a sample of this, and it's not one I'd buy

Smellywaterlover

Chloe EDP is the reason why I gravitate towards soft peony/rose fragrances. I absolutely adore this perfume! This used to be my signature scent way before I became interested in collecting fragrances. It gives such clean, pretty and feminine vibe and is such a crowd-pleaser. This fragrance reminds me of a fresh cut dewy rose and peony. The scent not only includes the flower essence but the stem and leaf as well which adds to the ever so slightly greenness of this fragrance. It also has a touch of soapiness like a fresh-out-of-a-bath type of way and not a cleaner type of way. This can be used daily (daytime) and every season in my opinion.

lavieenrose1987

I was ready to dislike this, but I find myself pleasantly surprised. I’m a gourmand fan, so lots of vanilla, caramel, chocolate, all that yummy stuff, and the rose scents I’ve tried so far haven’t been my favourite, but this is making me question my preferences. This is light and gentle and youthful, like walking past a rose garden on a sunny day. It reminds me of the perfume samples you used to get in fashion magazines back in the day. It’s inoffensive enough for daily wear, but strong enough to make you notice it on someone. I can imagine wearing this with a simple t-shirt and jeans or a sundress in the spring.

IVamp

I was gifted a mini bottle of this for testing. I've smelled it many times before as well, and every time I was like "No. This is not for me". I don't like cold and soapy scents, I don't like roses. Well, I gave it a try, wore it for a couple of days and, surprisingly, I found myself liking it a lot! It's very well balanced and the rose isn't overpowering. The opening is a bit too sharp and metallic but it quickly sets into a smoother fresh floral. I am not a big fan of the drydown as I prefer sweeter, creamier bases to woody ones, but it's not horrible either, and it's not too masculine. Clean, airy, and crisp, suitable for warm weather, office-friendly. I like it enough to get a dupe and use it from time to time, but not enough to actually buy the real thing - it surely is not in my top favorites and not my kind of scent. However, I do appreciate it, I see why it's classic and popular, and it certainly deserves a chance.

anamawsity

I’m not a fan of florals in general, but this made me so congested after I tried it on that I think I must be allergic to something in it. Aside from that, it’s just such a sharp floral scent on me, not smooth or creamy at all, so I really can’t stand it. Thankfully for me, it only lasted a few hours, but my nose was running for the rest of the day.

nm999

My perfume version of a white t-shirt. I've worn Chloe off and on since I was around 12, and 13 years later I still appreciate the clean, yet feminine smell. Something about this perfume makes me feel mature and lady like, yet beautiful. A true staple.

pinotos802

This scent is... interesting to say the least? It does smell clean and fresh, but clean in the way that clothes detergent smells, or like an air freshener, particularly Glade, smells like freshly cleaned house/bathroom but I don't think I really wanna smell like I've washed my clothes with half a bottle of Lenor, if that makes sense.
I can see this as being liked by a lot of people but not by me.

Ninubs

I really really adore this scent. It's not so strong at first, but it last for a really long time and makes your clothes smell magical. It smells very clean and pretty. I always notice this smell if someone is wearing it.

darkbeauty

The first spray gave me some lovely, powdery florals. However, that only lasted a few moments before the cedar overpowered everything else. There is a hint of a sour rose & litchi, and freesia behind it, but the cedar kept pushing its way to drown out the flowers until there were none left on me. I mostly got pencil shavings and hamster / rabbit bedding from this, the pine shaved wood chip kind, which makes it lean too masculine on me and doesn’t smell good. Smells soiled…. definitely not clean or soapy as some have stated. Unfortunately. It’s a big no for me. I believe skin chemistry will make or break this one. Not a safe blind buy.

I tested from a carded sample.

I left a short review on this fragrance a few years ago just to complain about how many women in my country wear it and how much I’ve come to hate it as a result. Countless times over the past 10+ years I have found and continue to find myself trapped next to Chloe fans in enclosed spaces like waiting rooms and public transit, and for as long as I’m subjected to it I think bitchily about how common a choice of fragrance, how boring it is at its best, and at its worst how it embodies the most fecal quality of roses, on some people even managing to smell like a singed turd.

Anyway, I found a splash bottle of it on my late grandma’s vanity, barely used, probably given to her by a cousin who didn’t care for it, only for her to ignore it. And I thought what the hell it’s been ages I’ll skin test it again.

well I still don’t like it. It doesn’t go shitmode on me but it doesn’t smell good either. Generic soapy rose and shrill, unappetizing litchi, with a hint of fart. Sorry ladies but I’ll never understand the love for it.

Luthien999

Chic and fresh. Sophisticated Scent. Perfect for Spring. Day- time.

jadepo21

This is such a soapy floral that I can’t see myself reaching for it. It’s nice if that’s your preferred scent profile, but it’s awfully sharp for my taste. It smells reminiscent of laundry soap or nice hotel soap. Clean and fresh for sure, just not my thing.

dinkleheit

This has a sort of soapy smell to it, it smells like something vintage. I am not sure if I like this, but I don't hate it either, it just smells a bit dated. I don't mind older fragrances, I just think this one leans a little too much like floral hand soap for me.

oea10

This scent is super fresh, clean, and light, and the dry down is the best part. I would say that it's pretty safe. I feel like very few people would find the smell offensive. I like it, but I don't prefer it and wouldn't typically wear it because it's a little too floral. If I smelled this on someone else though, I'd think that they smell great.

whiteorchid23

I always liked this smell on other people but not me.
It smells clean and it has a vintage scent however for some reason it reminds me of an old grandma, probably because it has so many dupes.

jiaamin

A korean fragrance youtuber described this as the scent of your first love and I think that is a rather apt description. It is a light and airy rose perfume, perfect for a spring or summer day. I would say the lychee is not as noticeable in this one, compared to other rose and lychee perfumes, though. It is fresh and clean, with a touch of sweetness.

Vstar1

This is beautiful, clean, refreshing floral that has amazing longevity. I was skeptical trying it but very pleasantly surprised. It’s very unique, I find it very soothing and it smells so nice and clean, like a natural rose in water. I would definitely wear this in spring/summer. Some fresh florals have a synthetic, potpourri smell that’s stuffy and matronly but this is timeless, beautiful, and natural smelling. Lovely.

Shimmer412

Beautiful floral, fresh, feminine, and romantic… a classic! I’m not typically drawn much to floral fragrances, especially ones centered around rose, but surprisingly I love this one!

This is not your grandma’s rose perfume. It’s much more youthful, but with just the right touch of maturity. The florals are delicate, as if they had just freshly opened. They center around the lovely rose which is the centerpiece of this fragrance. The rose is as if the bud has just opened and there are fresh dew drops upon it. The cedar note encompasses the florals and gives them this perfect freshness with a touch of sweetness so that they aren’t overwhelming or cloying.

I typically get great longevity with my fragrances (even body mists!), and Chloe is no exception… it lasts all day on me. The projection is also nice, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

For reference, here are some of my favorite florals: Coach Love, Coach Poppy Blossom, Coach Poppy Wild Flower, Flowerbomb, FB Ruby Orchid, FB Nectar, FB Midnight, and Chloe Love Story

moranguinho

at first it smelled too sharp and fresh for me, but after some minutes it smelled so good! like a field of roses...
i absolutely love this fragrance, so feminine and romantic!! very floral, fresh and a little bit sweet.

meemaws_cache

Love this scent. Reminds me of one morning in Vienna while traveling with my bestie by Naschmarkt. Was a bit rainy, which thankfully broke the July heat, and flower vendors abound.

Rare combo of low sillage and high longevity — my favorite!

JoobMoos

Pretty much exactly as described. Metallic, sightly watery rose and lychee. The notes don’t always blend and dance around, popping in and out.

vpace91

Clean, fresh, innocent, soapy, calm. I would wear this to the office, not a date. I like it though!

ratpisspoison

A chromatic rose. Ice cold, collecting metallic dew. Even after sunshine its petals stay frozen unable to blossom. Sharp as thorns and clean as topsoil.

I hardly wear this outside of a bedtime fragrance.

vanillapinkblush

Incredibly distinctive scent, I pick up on it instantly if someone is wearing it nearby. I was gifted the perfume in my mid teens from my parents, largely due to the packaging more than anything. My mother always wears Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede, so unlike many of the comments here, I find the perfume quite mature. If it wasn't for the fact that younger girls tend to wear it, I wouldn't associate it at all with youth except for the vaguely "cheap little-girl perfume" kind of scent it has. I am definitely not a fan of peony in perfumes in general and find it a little bit nauseating. That said, I think the middle note of rose is really lovely, and perhaps on others' skin chemistry, it comes through more.

The perfume isn't all bad, it's perhaps just not my style. I think the cons listed above in the perfume profile sum up the dislikes I have about the perfume.

Chesf

It captures the true essence of my girlhood. Innocent, modest, honest and true. Naively romantic yet don’t feel the urge to please anyone. Uncontaminated and oblivious to the world of male gaze. it was beautiful, all and only for itself and not for anyone else. It’s a poem to the young girls and years of naïveté. I like it very much and still wear it to remind myself that how beautiful itself is, just in being a girl.

Update:
It smells extremely icy in some cold wintery weather. It could be harsh at times. But when touched by warmth it blossoms into a nice cloud.
I enjoy the saltiness of the peony, rose note is a bit out-of-date but whatever.
The most intriguing thing about the perfume is still its pov and distinct character.

6/10

eau de dosa

This is an easy and light scent with tart and sharp nuances. I own this and the Leau. I enjoy both however this one gives me a headache due to the heavy rose.

Glyceryl

Smells absolutely DIVINE. This has been a long time favorite of mine. Never gets old, it’s a classic.

This is a fresh, soapy, sweet rose. This is not your grandmas rose perfume. I imagine a woman draped in organza frolicking through a field of flowers.

Rose is in the forefront, while peony & freesia lends a light sweetness and the cedar wood keeps it crisp and fresh. It’s a beautiful, minimalist grown woman scent.

hirayanaapuhap

I blind bought this perfume and immediately regretted it. Maybe it's my body chemistry but I don't smell the rose. I'm really into roses. It's leaning more to the white flower, I think? I'm new to fragrances but my nose is strong in identifying scents and this one, the rose is faint. I'm dry skin but this perfume lasted the whole day though, and my sister can smell it across the big room so that's good. I just think the scent is not for me.

EDIT: I'M REGRETTING SELLING MY BOTTLE 😭 I decanted a 2ml for a remembrance but when I returned to smell it, I fell inlove for the second time 😭 now I want to buy this one again. I don't know why I didn't pick up rose in my first spray.

So

I'd say also a classic, clean, soapy-flowery, youthfull fragrance. Still, it gets overwhelming and annoying at some point. I gave it to my daughter. I was in fact searching for a replacement for Chloe in love.

Essie12

This was my signature scent for a few years. I absolutely love it. It's both clean and interesting. I'm a sucker for freesia and this makes it sparkle I think. Would definitely repurchase for my collection.

linoleum

In my skin and nose.
If its only one or two spritz, skin scents with hint of rose.
If i sprits more, the rose sort of like rosy vintage things

vsmr

This smells lovely in the rain! 😍

BeatriceCetti

When I sprayed it on the first time I fell in love! I kept wearing it for more than a year, it's iconic. But also very very common... I instantly recognise it when I smell it on other women as it was immediately recognisable on me. Still an amazing perfume tho.

mabelangel

this is probably the worlds most well known and basic perfume but it’s still really classic. i never get bored of it. i think seeing this on my mums dresser when i was little started my obsession with rose perfumes. it’s really clean and simple, it’s not complex at all and very light on the nose, which tbh is really nice considering how nose blind you get from huffing perfume all day. like i can actually smell again!! my only complaint is that it doesn’t last very long at all, maybe 2-3 hours most if you aren’t spraying half the bottle at once. it still projects alright though, so just keep a small bottle in your bag

peipei01

delicate and fresh floral perfume; inoffensive, classic and youthful; smells like a rich girl, a bit commercial though

marisa0520

SO clean, so fresh. The dry down smells like a mild laundry smell fresh out the dryer. It lasts FOREVER. Please try this one if you love clean and mild florals.

Voidfruit

This smells like you just took a hot shower with a fancy rose scented bar soap. it's incredibly clean, soapy, refreshing and feminine and exudes a quiet confidence and self-assuredness - conjures up an image of a woman who is comfortable in her own skin and doesn't try to impress anyone but herself. Love!

mashketova134

A lovely, clean and gentle, romantic rose I love to wear everyday to bring out the delicate parts of me.

katiejon

I have had a tiny bottle of Chloé for about a decade. It is not a spray, you have to dab it on with your finger - which I actually am surprised to like a lot. I haven’t worn this in years, but I saw it recently before bed, and put it on.

It is a breath of fresh air! I do love rose, and this is a lovely soft rose. It’s not a potent, in-your-face ROSE!!!!! -like Delina or Atomic Rose. It’s pleasant, feminine, polite - fresh, but still soft.

I am very happy to have rediscovered Chloé after all these years.

Suigintou

Oh man, this would be PERFECT if it wasn't so heavy on rose! I've been looking for floral showergellyish fresh perfume and this is definitely it, but the rose not is just too heavy.

qianqian

Nothing stood out in the first spray that a Chemist Warehouse shop assistant put on my arm. However, 10 minutes later, I really enjoyed it when I made it back to the office. Inoffensive, gentle, classy smell. Should get a bottle down the road.

BGkitten

This flowery rose scent is light and delicate. It makes no grand statements. It is virginal, clean-almost sterile like, youthful-almost teen like. Mid-age, I want it still-not because I think it is “me,” but be because it brings me back to a time when I am in middle school, talking about boys for the first time in the school bathroom with my girlfriends. It is slightly soapy, projection is strong only in the first hour then stays close to the skin. As it dries out, the initial harshness (that clean almost sterile smell) wears out into a pleasant summer bouquet-unrequited, easy-going, like a quick nap in a summer flower garden.

thaochipnd

A beautiful, dreamy scent that resembles Aurora's princess dress - Sleeping Beauty. But I don't think this is an original Rose scent, this is a perfume with Peony as the main scent, supplemented with a little sweetness of Lychee and the fresh, slightly soapy sourness of Rose. Very feminine, classic, but has quite poor longevity on my skin. When I wear it, I always imagine that in front of me is a garden filled with flowers and the peaceful sunshine of a countryside, with colorful soap bubbles flying around.

Perhaps because this is the first version in Chloe's Rose line, it is not as smooth as later versions. Occasionally, it gives off a slightly harsh odor. If you love Roses and want to try Chloe's perfume, I recommend Chloe Roses De Chloe - their best Rose scent in my opinion.

Rating: 7.5/10, a peaceful, radiant fragrance

Catyy

Fresh, floral scent; but not soapy kind, more like fresh cut roses. Good for hot weather. I stopped repurchasing because sometimes rose note gets too overwhelming, making it smell just like rose water. Although the bottle’s very pretty, the silver parts got oxidized. Can be a signature scent as the name suggests, however it is not a bold, assertive fragrance; more like a perfume for a humble, delicate lady.

meganlamode

I smelled this fragrance a few years after its release and though it was nice, but didn't see any need to own it. Fifteen years later and I have essentially the same thoughts. Chloe is a simple, fresh rose. It's pretty, but also somewhat forgettable. It could be nice to wear on a daily basis if you enjoy rose, although I remember enjoying Roses de Chloe even better.

nisarsarah9

Lovely floral. Smells so fresh and last long on the skin especially during summers and spring. Feels like its made up of beautiful roses.

Moonbeam28

If I could only own one perfume for the rest of my life, this would be it. Maybe it isn't groundbreaking or all that unique, but this has been a staple in my fairly large perfume collection for over 10 years and I still get compliments on it. It just goes with my body chemistry perfectly and is long lasting. I love that it's office friendly, great for any occasion and no one could really be offended by this perfume. I always feel perfectly comfortable and at ease when I wear Chloe.

AquaJima

The pharmacy next to my house sells perfumes. A couple of days ago the lady who works there was telling me how “nobody buys Chloe” and gifted me some generous samples after explaining that this smelled like detergent to her and her colleagues.

Been trying it for a few days now. For such a “simple” smell it has given me much to think about.

First: People who say this smell sterile, I get what you mean. However, I find it virginal.

There is a sharpness, distance and aloofness. It’s elegant. “Soap and water” sort or elegance. This is a ballerina, clean laundry, a fresh bath infused with rose petals. Is also the smell of fresh clothes out of the store. The smell of a modern European princess who is still in her teens. This is Lily James in the film Rebecca. Skincare after washing your face. “Clean Girl” energy in its purest form. Peace of spirit.

For someone who can’t stand super intense smells, this is a good option. It fits a very specific type of person: those who find beauty in what is subtle and a bit undone.

I think is pretty after a bath or a day at home, even for bed. Or simply if you own too many complex fragrances and you feel you need to take some days, or a few weeks off, to detox your sense of smell… but you still want to wear something. This is ideal.

I also find this to be proper in any situation where you want to be a bit “underdressed” or make an understatement. Maybe you don’t want to rock your beloved perfumes on a certain occasion or you don’t want people to fully know what you are about (job interviews, first dates, taking an airplane, visiting the doctor, going to places where there is “etiquette) This will be safe. It won’t tell much about who you are, just that you are very clean and proper. I find it will invite others to respect your boundaries, as it’s not warm, playful or inviting. You are just a pretty girl/woman in a big big world.

Safe to say I will be getting one of those sad sad Chloe bottles from the pharmacy.

Mona708

If you’re trying this scent after you’ve tried any of the pre-2000’s Chloé fragrances, you may be somewhat disappointed by its strength and/or sillage along with its lack of depth. However, it’s still a bright, cheerful scent; even though I preferred the older Chloé, I genuinely did like this scent. It worked pretty well as a casual scent because the floral notes weren’t too overwhelming, and the lychee was pleasantly tart. It performs best on its own in warmer weather, but layering it over a light musk gives it a boost in cooler weather. Since it’s so light and simple, I think it would be a good first scent for a middle schooler.

runefactory

This smells very young to me. The powdery notes remind me of the deodorants and body sprays girls used in middle school and high school after gym class. It’s not an offensive smell, just not for me.

Sugemen

Just beatiful roses.

Bodie001

A super strong soapy rose is what I get. Nice, but too loud for me. Definitely a mature scent.

rachelv

I tried a bunch of perfumes today at Boots including the Prada, Gucci, Carolina Herrera, D&G, Lancome ones on display, but this one was the one I really liked. I fell in love with it straight away. It's a fresh, delightful rose amplified by magnolia, with lily of the valley providing lightness. Peony and Litchi also lift the scent and give it a light, dreamy airiness. Neither powdery nor citrusy. Luxurious but not in the sugary sweet way that some of the other ones I tried were. This is happiness in a bottle to me. I came home with all the testers and kept sniffing this one most. As a result, I've ordered a bottle online! I don't fall in love with scents that often and easily but this was a winner.

Kat_With_A_Book

Not to be confused with the vile Chloe Absolut de Parfum, which I bought after confusing the nearly identical packaging.

Petrichor134

Is there a word for longing, wanting perfumes you had before just because you don't have them anymore? I greeted my neighbour and she was wearing this perfume. Late summer, beginning of autumn, when the heat is slowly giving up and I can finally wear something else rather than just shorts. Waiting outside the little bakery, we had a small talk(not my favourite just like summers). And I immediately recognised it, well, there isn't a person here who wouldn't as this one is so sought after and worn, well loved. But the thing is I can always smell dupe of this. This is the only perfume when I can identify the original. And she was wearing the original. I wanted it bad when I was a student, got it years later when my wish was already exhausted from anticipation and gave it away. Now that my grandfather is gone I want it again. This smells to me like elderflower, the way he smelled when we would go to the outskirts of our town in the hunt for this flower to make syrup for juice. He would take giant pan, soak in the flowers upside down, add citrus and a little bit of vanilla bean and then pour it into tall, thin, clean bottles. I drank elderflower juice my entire childhood. Every day. Roses are absolutely here but the entire composition smells like elderflower to me. When I smell it up close it gives a little bit of polen and green stems with fresh roses, but whiffs of it give the smell of elderflower. And through the entire day it stays unchanged. Maybe it's my grandfather I'm wishing for, not the perfume. But I know I want to spray it one more time and go back to a place where he still lives and makes the best elderflower syrup.

MrsJackDaniels

Too basic for my tastes. If someone asked you 'what does your first perfume ever smell like?" I would think of this. Alcohol-y, inoffensive, but boring.

Fluffyandpuffy

This is feminine floral with lychee at the top. It is timeless pretty and it PERFORMS! Very long lasting, great silage. Not overly complex. Nice clean fresh scent that lasts for days on fabric. Could be a great signature.

babypong

this was very fresh and powdery. Definitely powder first before florals. The base note scent to me is lysol, and for that reason I did not like it.

kahbsa99

Agressive sharp clean smell seems about right with this one.

strawberryswitchblade

This is a dead ringer for Korres Apothecary Wild Rose. Right after spraying it is kind of screechy and loud but after it has mellowed down a bit it turns into a clean, inoffensive and pleasantly tart and fresh rose scent

gls512

I've been on the hunt for a clean and rosey fragrance for the longest time so I was over the moon when I finally found Chloé! I have to say, this is one of the best perfumes I've bought because not only does it last AGES (I work a 9 to 5 job and I can smell it on myself even when I come back home), but I also get compliments whenever I wear it. The sillage on this shouldn't be underestimated either, it can literally take over an entire room.

I'm very happy with this perfume and I will definitely continue buying it. I believe this is a universal, feminine, inoffensive scent that most people would like regardless of age and is a safe blind buy.

perfumelovere

I thought this was released in the 90's and not 2008. When I went to Spain I smelled it on several women that passed me. It's not a bad smell but there's something synthetic that punches you in the face. If I wore this I would have a headache all day long. I love perfumes that make you want more and aren't obviously perfume if that makes any sense. This screams artificial to me at least.

Tripokaridos

To me its one of the best female perfumes ever created ...

Anmada85

Typical floral designer fragrance. Pleasant but boring.

Delrey2002

One of my favorite fragrances, it smells like spring. A really strong perfume but at the same time light and airy, with great projection and stays on my hair even after having a bath. When I wore it at work a lot of people asked me what I'm wearing and told me it has a beautiful soapy scent, in a good way though. I think it's perfect for everyday perfume and also signature scent.

maidenhead

photorealistic lychee, then drifts off into powdery florals. i mean, i like it, but it's very direct and boring.

Kyndlier

It smells amazing. The fresh flower scent is amazing and it is very alluring. Comfortable to wear everyday. However... even tap water lasts longer on my skin.

emmadrift

I don't typically like the classic feminine scents, but I LOVE this one. It's a scent familiar to my childhood.

Claugregg

It is tart, and I love it. This is the kind of perfume a very nice feminine teacher would wear, because one of mine did when I was in high school. Chloe is recognizable and easy to wear. It's floral but fresh, thanks to the litchi notes. You could wear this in most settings, but I find it works the best during the warm weather and during the day. It has a good sillage and pretty good tenacity. Is it worth the price? If you like a citrusy/fresh floral, this is a classic to own... so YES!!

meowing

my mom always smelled like this growing up :3

supergirl9412

The brand describes this as a powdery rose, but I don’t find that to be true. It’s a VERY tart rose, and it remains tart throughout the entire wear. In the midphase, I get a touch of soapiness, rosewater softness, and peony. In the drydown, it’s still sour but with an added (hefty) dose of musk.

Pretty good longevity and throw on this one, which I wasn’t expecting!

Overall, this rose is too sour and too musky for me.

LVS65

This was a blind buy based on the reviews because I wanted something floral rather than fruity, but I was surprised that it IS fruity/citrusy, which is not what I was expecting, and while it's a very pleasant fragrance, it is super weak. On first spritz it smelled like acetone nail polish remover, then it settles down into a fruity/floral scent that is reminiscent of rose, but not quite rose, to my nose. But it leaves me wanting more...more scent, more oomph. I almost wondered if I had gotten a watered down bottle. I will definitely have to layer something over it to feel like I'm getting any scent out of it. Was surprised to see it has high ratings for sillage. Maybe I'm just nose-blind to it.

Lovaloo

I love rose so I was hoping I'd enjoy this on a retry, but sadly it's not one for me.

Citrusy top notes with a strong yet watery rose and powdery peony combination. The "lychee" is present to give the rose a rounded, fruity touch, but to my nose it contributes to the sourness. As it dries I smell white and green floral touches, meant to bolster the rose accord, but to me they smell screechy. The note of "cedar" (?) in the base smells abrasive despite the presence of amber and musks. Throughout the day the scent bubble smells powdery, soapy, it reminds me of a shampoo my mother used when I was a tyke.

I've tried several of them now, and I think it's time I accept that I cannot abide the Chloe DNA. The perfumes all smell too sharp and high-pitched for my taste. Chloe L'Eau almost worked, but with time I became sensitized to that one as well. This perfume line goes in an overly bright, clean, fresh direction, and as a result I perceive them as harsh and synthetic.

The Chloe perfumes would make good bar soaps, but in the format of personal perfume, I find them insubstantial and unpleasant. Pricy for what you get, yet another instance where you're paying for the packaging and the brand name over the perfume itself. Long lasting for a floral, 6-8 hrs, with decent throw. Strong dislike.

vintagesoda

I’m not normally a fan of rose fragrances but this one is really nice. It’s like a soapy, fresh rose and not too warm or heavy - this makes it perfect for spring. I would consider getting a small bottle of this for my collection!

Goldena35

Totally agree with the comment below. A clean watery rose with a hint of lily in the valley. It’s safe and pretty. Not for me. However , I will now think about what I could layer with it so thank you jmalone84.

Jmalone84

I have a rollerball purchased a few years ago and have to say it’s actually gotten stronger over time. Used to feel more delicate but now it’s a bit more soapy and ambery. Quite nice for layering. Deceptively simple, and I feel it’s immediately recognisable. It’s not a sexy scent in my opinion, it’s more kind of pretty and delicate. Something very transparent and innocent about it. Office safe and most situations safe. Would everyone dig it though? No. I like a more natural, earthy dark rose. There’s something about it that’s just a bit safe and possibly kind of dull. Maybe that’s just my mood today.

Owllover222

Nice for people who like fresh and powdery rose. A touch of tropical fruitness from litchi. Just not for me because I'm not huge on rose, but I got it as part of a sample set.

dandeli0n

Chloe reminds me of rain, breezy autumn morning and the fresh beginnings in life, even though I'm not a floral person it stole my heart there is something pure about it, the blend of airy and rosy notes makes you feel like a princess, I think princess Anneliese in Barbie the princess and the pauper would smell like this.

Einfinken

This is a nice fresh rose scent that works well in transitional seasons. One to use a light hand with though as I think the roses can pretty easily choke someone out. This will always remind me of starting my career as I wore it a ton in my first year out of uni. Still, I think there are more interesting and less cloying roses out there and it's a bit of a generic scent.

ellie_bri

Opening and initial wear is the perfect white floral. Not too heavy on rose (which had me stray away from florals). After 4-5 hours, turns to these weirdly floral, fruity, musty (not musky!) scent on my skin chemistry and clothes. Kind of reminds me of wearing BBW fruity sprays after sweating. Wish the opening scent lasted longer on me!

bobecca

A book page that was spritzed with a rose perfume a long time ago

I had such high hopes for Chloe, I smelled it for the first time in an Ulta about 2 years ago, and couldn't get a smell other than that of cardboard. I just got a sampler from Sephora, and while it was better this time, I still feel it didn't live up to the hype. I wanted to love this scent sooo bad, but it's just an underwhelming floral. I have a hard time picking out the litchi and amber, and there just isn't a lot of depth imo. Not that every good perfume needs insane depth, I love many of the Solinotes fragrances. I also get a really big scent of paper for some reason. It's pretty and basic, but unimpressive on my skin.

gory-rilmore

I’m not a big rose girl, but this is nice. The rose is definitely the standout here, but it’s well blended and rests beautifully on the other notes. A pleasant, airy, sophisticated scent. Mature without being granny-adjacent.

ozywaters

For years I read rave reviews about this perfume and always wanted to try it. I finally took the plunge and blind bought the 4.2oz bottle to which I can say was an absolute success. It’s such a nice but simple fragrance that gives me hints of rose all throughout. Right up my alley and I can see why so many love it. Perfect introduction to Chloé fragrances.

deadxxxmoon

An absolute classic. I will never get sick of this fresh, floral scent.

TheFl0rist

I tried it few times and today I decide it's not for me. It's nice! That's all!
Clean, laundry, shower gel rose scent! That's it! Probably I have missed the train to own and love this one. I tested it 3 years ago, I wanted it immediately, wasn't able to find in local shops! Tried again later, I was into white florals then! Tried again, I was impressed and put it in wish list.

Today I was about to order, I sprayed from the vial sample, again it's just nice! Nah not worth splurging! Nice clean fresh! okay, but I don't want it for this price.

My nose loved Paul smith rose, Florabotanica, Tea rose, mfk A la rose for in fresh rose area.

I tried Chopard felicia roses, chloe flankers, rose moceniga, elizabethan rose, mg bloom of roses. Chloe edp falls in this category and I don't love it for what it is!

I'm removing it from my wish list.

Sreza7

I used to not like this. I recently got a free sample from Sephora of Chloe EDP and I love it now! It’s like a simpler version of Delina. Elegant fruity floral with a capital E! I layered it with Burberry Her and it’s a winning combo!

emilianods75

I used to love this one but that last reformulations are so por in performance. Weak sillage when it used to be enormous. A true disappoinment

Flared Maple

A soft, fluffy, cream colored wrap knit sweater. A dainty necklace. Hair in a softly tousled ballerina bun.
Blue jeans or maybe leggings, soft white ankle socks walking through the kitchen clutching a fresh cup of tea.

It's the "girl next door". It's early autumn or spring. The weather is a little bit chilly and you're craving a little bit of warmth and comfort.
Its fresh cut roses you bought for yourself while buying organic groceries.
Its soft femininity and care.

sabertooth_salem

This is a classic, clean, sparkling floral. I pick up most on the rose and peony. To me, it is extremely feminine in the same way that Delina and its flankers are, lovely to the point that I struggle to find the right occasion for them.

Although it is comforting and beautiful, I think I've outgrown this one. It was my first "adult" fragrance and I wore it to death. Since then, I've begun gravitating toward more unisex and darker scents. This sadly registers as too dainty and young for me to wear anymore, though I'm still happy have it in my collection.

VanillaPeaches

This is my signature scent and I love it so much. It's fresh and clean. I get complimented on this scent the most.

bluebilledmagpie

spring rain on a blooming rose, dusk that paints the clouds a dark pink, the smile you never forget. not sugar-sweet, but so fresh it is still lovely when worn at night! sits crazy close to the skin. think pink ribbons and pearls, all-black outfits, clear lipgloss, champagne. oh, and it smells EXACTLY like glossier's gen g lipsticks. newest signature scent!

Asoss

Now that i have gained some experience and tested hundreds od perfumes and own some od them, I feel this is true masterpiece that withstood the test of time.
It was copied so many times(the best dupe in my opinion is Pure Extreme Micallef) and in flood of New perfumes on market i see myself buying this for the first time and enjoying the rest of summer with Chloe EDP, a classic.

angelinamartinez

very feminine aquatic clean rose, i save this for formal occasions. it’s also pretty strong i can only handle abt 3 sprays of this even though i overspray most of my perfumes.

to embrace the cedar note, i layer this with bare by VS, which is a warm, musky, woody scent. to add sweetness while still maintaining the clean aspect of the perfume, i layer with soft and dreamy by pink.

Craytrans

reminds me of the coach perfume, sweet very floral , deff designer good projection its just ok , im sure this can give many a head ache 5/10

The13thHour

Chloé is one of my favorite perfume houses. Chloe is the embodiment of femininity. It's pretty and fresh but also unique. It's signature scent worthy. When I wear this perfume, I always have to pair this with a pretty pink shirt or dress.

slapsoil

I feel pretty and feminine whenever I'm wearing this perfume. Simple and sophisticated smelling perfume. 💓

Tonkanilla

This smell reminds me of fresh wet paint, Like when you just painted a new home all white. It's fresh but chemical. I like it but I also hate it... it's definitely a mood.

81ghazal1314

To me this is a cheaper and long lasting version of Delina La Rosee and I love it. Very feminine and pretty for the summer. I'm surprised about how much hate it gets.

car0

Soapy in the way that roses are, I'm not the biggest fan of light roses as sometimes they tend to smell too mature but It wasn't until I decided to finish a bottle I had lurking around that I fell in love with it, once it dries and warms up on your skin the most stunning mouth-watering litchi sweetens the concoction. I did not expect it to show up afterwards and definetly thought It was just a very strange amber but no, it was the litchi in its full perfumey-fruity feel. It's not a litchi like in angel nova or like in an actual fruit-oriented perfume, moreso like the taste of an actual litchi that's been sitting in syrup in a can in the fridge.
I enjoyed this the most in the spring and while it did not last being "noticeable" I found that it lasting as a sweet clean skin scent was the best scenario for itself.

jocing

Chloe is a classic, waxy, old century magnolia, soapy scent. Slightly powdery with mild projection.
One spray on skin can be very soft and elegant, extra spray can be very strong soapy and heady.
Can get the sweet from litchi, all the sweetness is from the litchi.
It last for few hours on cloth and skin.
The bottle is stunning, I love the bottle design from love story EDP too.

Anyway, Chloe is more a safe perfume to wear in office but not overspray. Some might dislike the heady strong soapy scent.

otterfaces

Really lovely- clean and floral and not too sweet. I have a sample vial of this and I’ve received compliments both times I’ve worn it in public. Lasts ages on clothes. Reminds me a lot of of L’Occitane’s discontinued Roses et Reines, but a bit less fruity. It’s similar enough that I wouldn’t consider purchasing a full bottle of Chloé EDP until I run out of R et R.

alice_w

This is a perfect sleep scent that is sweet and comforting for me. However, it might be a bit plain as a day scent.

Kinzie31

I mean it’s a ‘nice’ rose fragrance. Non-offensive. Delina la rosée does it better, but obviously that’s a different price point (and not one I’m willing to shell out for). I’m a bit underwhelmed, if I had a full bottle I would get bored of it quickly.

princessmahi

This is the true clean girl scent, smells very non-offensive and I'd say it's absolutely perfect for coming right out of the shower or wearing it right before bed to comfort yourself.

betheljaviles

This smells like fresh, floral, dryer sheets, in my opinion. Very feminine and an easy-reach for errands or casual activities in the spring and summer. It also packs a punch and can last for hours on the skin, so I wouldn't overspray so that it doesn't end up being cloying. I wouldn't purchase, but I'm enjoying my sample.

Sophia97

When you are wearing cute pink floral dress and sitting in a park eating your favorite fruits , this is the vibe this fragrance gives me. Chloe is both adorable and addictive, in my opinion. It has a very clean, distinctive scent that is floral. It's lovely, has a sweet, dewy rose aroma, and is simply ideal for me.

electric_evelyn

One of the best performing perfumes out there!
Excellent for office or more solemn situations.
I perceive it as neutral - it's not sweet or too harsh. Inspires clean, put together, serious, business like. It may not feel too strong, but it is - so don't overspray. Got complemented on this one, people said I smell really nice. ☺️

kmeid2

Does anyone remember the original Chloe fragrance? I'm talking about the one I wore in the late 80's?? Is this a reformulation of that or a completely different scent? So curious to know if anyone remembers...I think the original bottle even looked the same? Am I crazy? (lol, don' answer that.)

nbazza

This perfume is amazing; fresh, soapy, clean and floral and performs so well!
I have a story about this one... this is the supposed fragrance that I smelled when a woman walked past me on Grain Via, Madrid, Spain for my first and only trip overseas in 2019! This was back before I really got into fragrance during 2021, and now have hundreds of samples, when my city had the longest lockdown worldwide. On that trip to Spain I took Miss Dior Hair Mist (that fragrance is still so gorgeous and one of my favourites after trying hundreds, and which smells like Dior Blooming Bouquet - if you love that I think you would love Chloe EDP too).
It was my second day in Madrid and a woman walked past, I think she was in her 30s but I didn't see her face and I think she was wearing a pink top and khaki pants. She had medium/lightish brown hair and a bob haircut and was carrying a leather satchel bag. I know these details because I was SO tempted to run up to her and ask what perfume she was wearing, but I was shy and could not speak Spanish although she may have known English, and 'perfume' is 'perfuma' in Spanish... but I was not feeling bold enough to ask! Until I tried Chloe I was wondering for so many years what the fragrance could have been, and I am almost sure that it was the beautiful Chloe EDP! I thought for years that it could have been Narciso for Her (but that one is more musk heavy - still beautiful!), but now that I have samples of both I think it was Chloe EDP. It performs really well in heat or just by the heat of your skin. The projection was incredible. This smells soapy, rosey and clean with a hint of musk. I usually am not the craziest for lily of the valley which I think is strong in this fragrance, but it always matters what other notes are mixed and how the fragrance is blended which is GORGEOUS. This is just WONDERFUL! It is suitable for family events, work and anywhere you want to be classy and make a good impression. Signature fragrance worthy. It's not the sexy-six-inch-heels sort of fragrance like Jimmy Choo I Want Choo (love that one too) but it is wholesome and refreshing. I really love this scent. All ages appropriate. I hear all over youtube that it's overdone apparently. Even if it's overdone, if I'm obsessed with it and others then it's because Chloe made such a BEAUTIFUL fragrance! I also LOVE Chloe Nomad. Chloe EDP shines in spring/summer but it is all seasons appropriate. It kind of has a juicy pear like element to it too. That must be the litchi, peony and rose with the CEDAR base (I LOVEEE cedar as a base note, it grounds perfumes and does not smell synthetic. It seems like cedar can really go with anything!)

Lilah_lilah2023

A classic, every day perfume. It smells clean, soapy, fresh. I like it, but it's not my favourite.

Zevota

The vibe it gives me at first is - being in a lush garden after the rain. Very pleasant, girly and fresh. Then it becomes just rose-rose-rose, but still a very nice scent. Is it the most unique fragrance? No, but I still like it and it lasts long, too!

hashizotchi london

As someone here has pointed out, this number must have been reformulated. I first noticed there must have been a change after coming back to this scent in 2019.
I first used it back in 2008 when it had that magical bohemian punchy amber sweetness, which always made me feel very dreamy 70s mythological goddess if that makes sense.

I do love clean soapy rose fragrances - they are very chiq and dreamy - they evoke the feeling of sticking your nose into a fresh dewy rose or having a delicious rose flavoured macaron from Pierre Herme or Laduree.

I do not get why rosey smells get so much bad rep - sure- some can be too heavy and dusty - but not this one - or at least its OG version back in the day.

Tasherapd

This was the fragrance that turned me off from rose fragrances for a very long time. This smells like a soapy artificial rose. I can’t stand it. Now that I have ventured off into the niche fragrance world. I have grown to like rose fragrances and own quite a few.

scenturian

I really love Chloe. Fresh clean rose.
Simple but a lot better when I compare with scents like Si.

ScentyMandy

Seeing that the average rating is barely nudging 4, I can't help but wonder what's there not to like about this perfume. It's a fresh, clean, almost laundry-esque, girly girl scent. 😍 Sure, the longetivity could be better, but that's almost always the case nowadays. :/ (IFRA needs to DIAF, like ASAP. 🤬 )

Ohtaycanyousee

It really pops in the heat, but can be worn year round. It’s my favorite fresh scent, my second favorite rose scent behind Delina. If you love Delina you’ll probably like this

Nareenie

Nobody could ever make me hate her. She’s fresh, soapy and downright gorgeous. Lots of people have told me that she is an ok scent but that’s what they believe. I believe that if you let her dry down you can smell the real her. She’s couture in a bottle with so much rose. I love chloe way to much

fleurtje0

I loved this on paper in the store but sadly it smells really soapy on my skin.

Rosiewebber

I don’t care that some people find this generic/boring/basic. It’s beautiful, a fresh dewy rose scent, clean, sweet, just perfect. Love at first sniff for me, and a firm favourite.

hollymc123

This one knocked me out in the best way! A sharp edgy floral. I wore it on my wedding day.❤️

Lovely246

Major clean girl energy from this one. On my skin this smells like fancy hotel soap with a touch of subtle florals. She's a beast though and one spray projects well and lasts well into the day. This is an easy reach as it is so inoffensive.

Annybear

Opening scent smells so similar to La Rosee.
The dry-down is very dissimilar. La Rosee smells sweeter, but nothing sweet comes out of Chloe EDP. Office appropriate.

HannahRosesAreRed

Oh, Chloe. Why did I have to sleep on this one for so long?

I've been disappointed by aquatic, fresh floral fragrances before. I adore them–but alas, my skin absorbs them so fast. But not Chloe. Chloe is no pushover. She's not a wimp. She's not a wallflower. She's kind, she's polite, she's fresh, sweet and pleasant. But she will make her mark for a good while before she quietly exits stage left as a delightful skinscent six hours later. This modern classic is one of the best performing fresh floral rose-heavy perfumes I've ever tried. It's a beautiful and sunny blend of warm rose and peony, spiced with juicy lychee, powdery freesia and watery magnolia. There's a "just laundered" hint of fabric freshness, and just a touch of green, thanks to the cedar and lily of the valley. The base is very subtle, gentle amber, a soft glow of warmth as opposed to spicy oriental fire.

It's a modern classic. I can see this being worn by a whole slew of age groups. It's clean and to the point. Sure, the market may be oversaturated with clean rose fragrances, even flanked by peony and lychee, but who cares? Chloe did it right.

hayjuney

Sweet and princess-y. Great performance too.

ElonorCrush

Chloé was a pinnacle of 2008 . I remember coming back from holidays in Paris back to school in West Country England. At the time, all posh students were abundantly perfumed, either lacoste or Chloé, it was almost a staple. All in all very popular amongst all age groups. Personally I wasn't sold on it straight away, I preferred Dior Jdore at the time. I'm not sure whether the formula changed or I just grew to love it? Now I only wear this scent and layer it with CK one as it seems to complement one and another. I wear it daily and admire it greatly.

Celestya

Floral perfume, very timeless and versatile. You need to like rose, peony and litchi. Fresh, more appropriate for spring and summer.

melilelu

Fresh, sparkling, soft, clean. I was surprised to see no citrus notes listed for this, especially bergamot. My first impression was a toned down combo of Versace Versense and Yellow Diamond. I'm not sure I smell any rose on myself. I can see myself reaching for this during the summer.

gigiok

I have tested this today on my wrist because I saw the comparisons to Delina La Rosee. I don't see a hint of La Rosee here, all I smell is the soap of my grandma. It has some projection though.

Leolia

Lovely 🌹
Can give me a headache when sprayed on skin so i mist my clothes instead.

Sarahlen

Mainstream midrange cosplaying as a niche/ high end fragrance. But at least Chloe took a huge risk of being called old lady from the predominant rose note. I don’t find it old if anything I find it naive. I can see how this would be a desirable signature scent of a young lady as it is classic and classy while modern and hip. To me the rose note is wonderful but the mixing with the fruit and grassy notes takes away from it. I never re bought after I finished the bottle. I’ve heard from multiple ppl who said it was their signature that one day they just got bored and stoped wearing it.

Manjusaka

Jelen

Beautiful clean young elegant and feminine. I love to smell this on a girl.

Yasmeena0

Feminine, clean laundry vibe and classy
I cant wait to have it on my collection
The longevity is moderate but don’t over spray 🌸

Oh, how I used to LOVE this perfume!! It used to be my signature scent for more than 10 yrs, accompanied with lots and lots of compliments! It lasted for days on my clothes and skin.
The most feminine and cozy perfume I‘ve ever come across. It was a real head turner and just so sexy!
Unfortunately it‘s been reformulated and it‘s nothing like it used to be. Now it‘s a boring clean rose that maybe lasts for 2 hrs.
I‘ve been for yrs and yrs on a desperate search for a dupe but nothing could ever compare to the scent how it used to be. All Chloe dupes have this ugly burnt caramel note that smells dirty (la rive is the perfect example for that)
After yrs of searching I finally found a perfume that is very similar to the „old“ Chloe and it’s Micallef pure extreme!!! If you are a true Chloe Signature lover and as desperate as I was, you have to try it out! It has the notes that the reformulated Chloe is missing. Just layer with your Chloe and thank me later!

This perfume has now become a new classic in perfumery. I know several people for whom it is their signature fragrance.

It smells like fresh roses with a hint of lychee and some green undertones. It is a clean and delicate perfume, very feminine.

It has a moderate sillage and it lasts on my skin for up to 12 hours, although it sits close to the skin after 7-8 hours.

Although I have used quite a few samples and can recognize its quality, I would not include it in my collection because I have a perfume in it that is very similar to it, the discontinued Yves Rocher Moments de Bonheur. I also spent years ago two bottles of Rose Nude, sold in the Spanish Mercadona supermarkets, which is very very similar and performs great for a fraction of the price.

Smell 6.5/10
Duration 10/10
Sillage 7/10
Quality/price 7/10
Versatility 8/10
Packaging 7.5/10
Would I buy again? I did not buy it

I received a Chloe sample with my Sephora sale order. At first, I thought it was a gorgeous powdery rose, however, five minutes later I was on my way to a monster headache. I can see how others could love this and have a different reaction entirely, but I’m shocked to see so many people refer to it as the perfect office perfume, because it isn’t.

Perfumegoddess23

Beautiful , classy scent . It stayed sharp for hours & smells like heaven. Everyone needs this in their fragrance gallery. I would say Chloe is addicting & adorable. It smells signature worthy, very clean smelling & Floral. I feel so feminine while I wear this beautiful scent. I love having Chloe included in my collection, she is in a league of her own ♡

felised

Clean, powdery rose that somehow smells fresh instead of leaning towards the vintage side, possibly due to the freesia and lily-of-the-valley. Wore this religiously throughout the late 2000s/early 2010s alongside Alien, so it brings back happy memories. I think I've outgrown it and it's extremely rare for me to reach out for it nowadays, but I still keep an old half-full bottle for nostalgia's sake. I associate this with a younger crowd, most likely because I wore it when I was quite young, but this can appeal to anyone who likes powdery and clean florals. Ok longevity but the projection is nothing crazy.

Msanya40

This was my first designer perfume. Anytime I had smelled it, it was lingering on clothes. Just a beautiful, fresh clean scent with the florals but not sharp. More powdery clean. For me it is the Rose and Amber that stays, when it lingers it gets deeper and sexier on skin and clothing. I have always loved this and have had several bottles.

sheerlace

I always want to like perfumes like this because they're quintessentially feminine in my mind and I have a feminine clothes style, but I just can't. This takes me back to 2009/10 when my friend dragged me to the local suburban rich country club that was falling apart. It had been built in the 70s and the decor hadn't been changed since... It smells exactly like the (plushly shag carpeted) women's dressing room, which was mostly used by elderly women. It's the soapy smell that reminds me of washing detergent and fabric softener. Considering the time frame, it could have been Chloé I was smelling back then too.

cowboygenesis

this was my first 'grown-up' fragrance and i'm hypnotized by it to this day. incredibly memorable scent despite the relatively simple profile; and what i recall strongest is the lichi. sweet, floral, warm... it's exactly what i loved at 16, yet i see this fragrance spanning across multiple age groups. the only downside (besides the price) is how polarising chloe can be. this shouldn't be a blind buy, as it has the potential to be nauseating and overly decadent to some.

Controlledbyscent31

I absolutely love this scent its s versatile and pretty but I just couldn't justify the price right now so I brought "chalou" from LIDL 😅😍 its such an amazing dupe and it also lasts and projects ! A 75ml bottle for £5.25 in the uk what a steal I will most probably re apply it often even though it does last well. But at that price why not!

npadua13

This one gives me a head ache and gives me grandma vibes. Hard pass

tomato12

Chloe is a simple fragrance, but it works. While it may not be groundbreaking, it's a pleasant and easy-to-wear scent that's perfect for everyday wear. Although it's not listed in the main accords I do find it to be on the musky-rose spectrum of floral fragrances, to me it's clean but not soapy.

another_52hz_whale

The peony note is prominent. I like it, it smells fresh and clean and youthful and somewhat innocent, almost too innocent for me 😬. I got a very good deal on the 100ml refillable bottle and I can always replenish it at a lower price. I think sillage is poor and longevity is average. Chloé is a basic clean floral scent that I am planning to use more when it gets warmer (above 20°C) - it’s workplace appropriate, too!

Dori002

I don't get any soapiness. It's too airy and woody to resemble soap for me.
The rose and the peony are very lovely, but I have to mention that the cedarwood is also very prominent and makes the scent a bit spicy, which I don't like. Also I don't smell litchi at all.
I like this scent, however I find myself usually wearing it for formal occasions, because there is absolutely zero sweetness in this fragrance and the slightly fresh/green spicy cedarwood makes it very serious and mature. It's not a bubbly, happy clean peony or rose scent like Bright Crystal or Idole. I would describe it more 'beautiful' than 'pretty'.

svetik26

I absolutely love this fragrance, the scent is something else. I spray it and fill like I'm in the clouds and heaven.
The perfume i love the most along with issey miyake leau dissey.

pippingreen

I like this, I bought a 100ml bottle because it's more youthful and wearable than Chloe l'eau. L'eau is one of my favourites but it can get a bit overwhelming since it's a very chypre powdery scent. This is more clean and soapy, with an undertone of slightly sour, aquatic fruits so I think I'll wear it to work.

eau de dosa

This is a strong floral everyday scent. Could be headache inducing so I only do one or two sprays

banillavean

When I was around 15, traveling back home after a week of Cyprus, I first smelled this fragrance in the duty free shop of the airport. Our flight was due soon, and I had already chosen a perfume to take home with me (which was Daisy Dream Forever). I remember spraying this onto my wrist and find myself still dreaming about it -regretfully- while upping the plane boarding stairs. Fast forward 6 years later, I'm 21, I smell Chloe, Love in the subway and this one pops into my head. I go and smell it at the store, and instant fever dreams of being a teenager, the beach, pancakes and milk for breakfast. l love this scent. I think this is THE scent that Clemence Poesy's character in Gossip Girl would wear. Whimsical, soft, delicate and clean.

intoxicatinggourmand

This is the quintessential chic girl perfume. Feminine, clean, and soapy. This perfume exudes the timeless stylish aura of the early 2010s, when french memorabilia flooded the online world with its twee nature. I found myself looking at this perfume as a feeling rather than its scent. It's not that it smells rather remarkable, with its rudimentary dusty rose, but it makes you feel as if you are the one commanding the room with your hair done up, applying the reddest of lipsticks, and wearing sleek pumps all while walking the town in the blossoms of spring. Truly a staple on everyone's shelf.

Lykopa

Your most basic soapy powdery rose. This is what I think of when I think of free soap you get at a 4 star hotel at first spray. There is an aspect to it that sells almost expired to me, and reminds me Laila or Miss Dior Eau de Toilette. It kind of smells like a rotting rose petal and stem to me.

Rhageg

This is too sharp for my liking. The dry down is the best part but takes forever to get there. And i don't think you should wear a fragrance just to wait for the ending. I gave this away because I rarely ever wore it. It does have a ‘Clean’ vibe but the flowers are to immature. Might be nice for a teenage girl.

suzanne_ronald

Imagine shampooing your hair in a claw-foot tub as mist rises from the water scattered with rose petals. To one side there is a silver tea service where a pot of steaming Earl Grey tea is steeping. Tropical rose opens this beauty and transitions into a tea rose and shampoo drydown.

Comparison to Delina Parfums de Marly:
The opening smells very similar to Delina Parfums de Marly wtihout the rhubarb note, however the heart is more of a tea rose scent. That being said, to my nose the rose here is not a mature or vintage rose, but more modern that leans toward a tea note (not listed). In the final drydown Chloe EDP resembles Delina again with honey, tropical rose and shampoo.

Comparison to Delilah Maison Alhambra:
Delilah is more similar to Delina PDM than Chloe, but it's a fairly good approximation of Delina and good value for the price. I'll dispense with comparing other Delina dupes/clones here.

Comparison to Body Burberry EDP:
Also signed by perfumer Michel Almairac, Body Burberry EDP is more similar to Chloe EDP after the openings. The drydowns both prominently feature a tea note, but Body EDP is a sweeter honey and tea, and Chloe EDP is a rosy tea (tea rose) although it gets sweeter the longer it's on the skin.

Comparison to Tea Rose Perfumers' Workshop (EDT):
These are different but there are alot of similarities, both being prominently rose scents. Tea Rose is a very realistic rose scent and doesn't get shampoo-like although there is a faint soap note on the skin that gets peppery as it dries down. The rose may be too classic for some noses but the performance is excellent, even exceeding that of Chloe EDP. This is a longstanding classic rose fragrance, and very affordable.

Comparison to Tea Rose EDP Perfumers' Workshop:
This scent is nearly identical to the EDT in scent and performance, although it does dry down ever so slightly sweeter if compared side by side, making it a little closer to Chloe EDP than Tea Rose EDT.

Overall: Exceptional performance that only improves with time both in the bottle and on the skin. However, since being compared to Delina PDM the price has been jacked up beyond what's reasonable for a designer perfume. Although I'm a huge fan of Michel Almairac, and this was an original at the time it was created, sadly today it may not be different enough from Delina PDM and its many affordable high-performance clones to warrrant a FB unless this was already your ride or die scent. I'll stick with my sample miniature bottle for now.

jazzscent13

This is a soft and lightly fruity peony dominant scent. I don't smell the rose, or any of the other notes listed. This fragrance is in the same vein as Chanel Tendre. It's pretty, soft, and inoffensive.... my only complaint is the packaging... the metal trimmings and the cap tarnished very quickly, and I keep my fragrance in their original boxes at all times and in a cold dark room... for such a classy scent, the packaging could be better.

America2580

Ohh love this! So classy! Always get compliments😍 One of the very best perfumes of all TIME

anotherlittlething

I really wanted to like this one as it has so many notes I really love. Sadly its just awful. I have tried it repeatedly only to end up scrubbing like a mad man less than an hour later. I honestly can't even smell the floral, it reminds me of those green cleaning products that contain eucalyptus oil or something of the sort. Its very popular so I assume it's just me.

auds-nose

Beautiful!
Can't go wrong with the nose of Almairac ...love his perfumes - classic fragrances

1amsoup

as someone who very rarely likes florals, this is one of the only floral perfumes that i enjoy. the rose is gorgeous, and the sweetness makes it perfectly feminine. i have it in a rollerball and it still projects an insane amount and lasts a long time. can give me a bit of a headache sometimes, but overall lovely scent.

la_belle_duchesse

This is such a classic! It's a lovely floral, somewhat powdery scent. For me, this is a scent that becomes even nicer in the dry-down and I like smelling it on my wrist throughout the day. The sillage/longevity is good. In any case, an inoffensive and wearable scent. 💗

SarabeineHoney

This is so good. I sprayed a bunch on a hoodie and still smelled it after washing said hoodie. LOVE. SO UPLIFTING AND FEMININE!!!! Bold and yet somehow subtle about it.

peachnipz

I'm impressed with this one. The projection and lasting power is outstanding on my skin. It's super feminine, super pretty. When I wear it, I feel like I'm Cher Horowitz from Clueless.

kiddo221998

My favorite perfume ever smells very mature without being boring and lasts long projects very well i could buy this for the rest of my life

AlliCat1215

I’m not a huge rose or litchi fan but this is a nice strong fresh spring scent. It lasts a good long time and it’s pleasant. I do prefer this one over delina and it’s much cheaper. I wouldn’t buy a full bottle but I can see why someone would.

Controlledbyscent31

Great projection and longevity such a feminine rose great signature scent for all occaasions I do smell similarities to delina and delina la rosee but I prefer this over both of those.
Adding to my collection this spring / summer.

UnearthlyApothecary

Chloe is a timeless classy rose and if you own only one rose scent, this should be it. Very fresh garden party rose-peony. While I like the smell of roses, I’m picky about them in perfume because they can easily overwhelm me. I especially dislike sharp/soapy rose. Chloe is very wearable for me especially in my favorite medium, the perfume cream. Excellent silage/longevity

olitunia

I do consider this a “safe choice” and it is my go-to for office or work events, very clean and inoffensive. I love freesia and rose and this is very rosey and floral but also kind of… tasty? Almost like a damask rose jam but lighter and fresher.

emeradora

This is a youthful, powdery rose, and one of the most instantly recognizable scents out there at the moment, especially since it has such expectedly strong sillage . The white florals lend a dainty quality to it, while the lychee prevents it from being too mature. I don't reach for this often, since I smell it enough on others, but it's nice if you're in the market for a feminine, light fragrance that you don't have to reapply often.

electricstrike

Definitely gives an "old money it-girl" vibe. As someone who is neither old money nor an it-girl, it's not for me. I like it on other people though, and sometimes I reach for it when I want to feel like Blaire Waldorf. It is smells very strong despite being such a light floral scent, and everyone who walks past you will know you're wearing it (and probably fall in love with you).

La Bella Rosa 222

Ahhhhhh!!! It smells like you just bathed in pure rose water💖It's breathtakingly gorgeous and classy! Smells like an elegant young woman carrying a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I'm literally forbidding myself from wearing this cuz I've had it for a little over a month and have used a quarter of the juice...... It does not last tho.

feinanna

I've been looking for ideal pink rosy roses, and I have found them in Cnloe by Chloe. Very girlie, very easy to wear, but not banal. It reminds me of an lold song about a boy bringing pink roses to his classmate. It can fit any age from teenagers to granmas. I absolutelyu love it.

SorcelEver

I ordered lots of decants recently so the seller sent me some free samples as gifts. One of them is this Chloe EDP.

I began my fragrance journey since 2017 but I've never smelled Chloe before (That was what I thought). This one is very popular in fragrance community in my country and often referred as "the scent of sophisticated young lady". l was curious about it for a while so, I tried and my first impression was...

"Oh! It's THAT scent!"

Yes, definitely have smelled it many times on different people but I didn't know it was Chloe.

For the scent alone. I think it's really nice. Very feminine, fresh, clean and delicated floral, rose is the main note here. Inoffensive and versatile, I can see why this scent is loved by many people.

However, what I mean "THAT scent" I'm not being quite positive here.
Chloe EDP smells exactly like the Professor whom I hat---- was not fond of when I was in college. This must be her signature scent and she sprays heavily. Students can easily notice when she is around. It's the presence of the bi--- I mean the "witch". Everytime I smell this scent, even on different people, her disdainful face always pops up in my mind. I think that is the only negative thing about this for me (and definitely not Chloe's false)
I like it, at the same time, I don't like it. 😂

Lovely fragrance that reminds me of a terrible person. (who is not 'young' nor 'sophisticated' at all)

FutureKiwi

A daytime fragrance. It is soft, delicate and girly, nothing edgy. A porcelain cup of tea and a bouquet of fresh pink roses. It brings to mind an upper-class young girl whose parents paid for her piano lessons and horseback riding. She is well mannered and yet super confident- but has no urge to scream that confidence. Because it is real, it comes from within and she does not have to impress anybody. I am not this kind of girl but a few drops of Chloe Edp can instantly transform me into this vibe. The bottle design is so spot on!

Andy224

Smells clean but it’s giving me detergent. Would not purchase nor suggest anyone to blind buy.
