Fève Délicieuse by Dior is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women and men. Fève Délicieuse was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. Top notes are Lavender, Mint and Bergamot; middle notes are Sour Cherry, Freesia and Jasmine; base notes are Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Cacao Pod, Caramel, Praline, Benzoin, Milk, Sandalwood, Leather and Cedar.

Dior launched a new fragrance as part of the exclusive collection La Collection Privée. The new scent is centered on Venezuelan tonka beans, named Fève Délicieuse. It comes out in May 2015.

The perfume was created by in-house perfumer Francois Demachy as a sophisticated oriental – gourmand harmony. Tonka bean smells like a mixture between caramel, almonds and cut hay, milky sweet, but also bitter. The composition includes notes of tonka bean, vanilla, caramel, cocoa, pralines and woody accords.

The fragrance is available in bottles of 120, 250 and 450 ml Eau de Parfum.

Queen of all gourmands. Why discontinue it is my question.

Sammysnose

How's cinnamon not in the notes? And oud?🥲

I can't help but think I have a sensitivity to sandalwood. Otherwise in theory I should love this. Unfortunately it's harsh on the nose from opening to dry down. It's almost pine needle. My sample would be the newer formulation. I don't doubt that it's great for others, but it's sadly almost a scrubber for me.

This fragrance required getting used to for me. It is the one who does not have an instant appeal but with time you get drawn in by its uniqueness and artistry. I have moved from dislike to confusion to a kind of love.
My first few times smelling and testing it I felt like it smelled like an old gentleman who smokes a pipe, sits in a leather arm chair and talks politics with books, newspapers and a bit of dust in the room. The lavender and mint came through strongly, in a very powdery way, and it made me kind of nauseus - I have never been a fan of lavender at all. Then I often revisited the bottle to try to understand it and the scent grew on me. I started to get the cherry, the vanilla, the lactonic notes. But as I started to like it more, I still felt it is a masculine scent. So I offered it to my husband. My husband istantly liked it both on me and on himself. As he has worn it and I have gotten whiffs throughout the wear, it is so cozy and nice to my nose. And lately I can't help but spray it again and again. I have an array of sweet gourmands and heavy scents, light, clean and musky scents, fruity scents, rosy scents and other florals and some days I am not in a mood for any of them. Those days this fits me just right! It is a grown-up fragrance for someone confident in their own skin. It doesn't try to be obviously sexy or appealing to everyone, it is its own.
For the first time my husband and I now share a perfume.

brandybasisty

A masterpiece. The first time I tried it, I distinctly smelled mint, powdery tonka bean and sour cherries. The notes smelled odd and edgy next to one another- like an Impressionist painting with broad brushstrokes of bright colours one wouldn't naturally see together. I don't know if the suggestion of wearing something several times to give it time to mingle with your skin chemistry is true--but something clicked on the 3rd wear when it turned into the sexist your-skin-but-better scent with touches of fruity musk and tobacco. Feve is considered a gourmand fragrance, but it doesn't smell like food to me. However, it does make one's skin smell absolutely lickable. I'm not sure how the newer formulation compares, but I'd recommend grabbing this one before it disappears- especially if you like tonka bean. 5 sprays and I get wafts of Feve for 12+ hours.

Found an old bottle of this on the back of my closet from 2016, i think? And this was gorgeous. I genuinely have no words for it, the dry down is so good. The cacao and the praline are wonderfully played out, just a little overpriced tho

player1363

I wasn't ready for this one!

Opens up strong with mint and cherry, then it hits you with a sweet, cinnamon-like tonka bean, and completes everything with a sweet, woody, leathery base.

It turns into a nostalgic make-up bag scent. Usually, this is because of the iris but I am not sure how they achieved it here.

To sum it up, you get mint and cherry sharpness/bitterness throughout the journey; starting from the opening to the final moments of the fragrance. Add an intense tonka, cinnamon, and vanilla. Put all of these on top of a leather makeup bag scent.

It smells a lot better on the air, rather than on the skin, because it is very intense.

Scent: 9/10.

Performance and sillage are beastly.

One of the best fragrances from the Dior Privee Line.

On paper I should love this but I think overall there’s too much. There’s something sharp in there that distracts me from anything gourmand and in my opinion, leans fairly masculine, not that I’d enjoy smelling this on a man. It dried down into something completely horrible on me that I had to wash it off. It’s long wearing though.

It’s quite nice but not that different from some other ambers out there and very expensive. It starts out with an intense, chemical miasma that quickly dries into a bland and comforting ambery vanilla sort of fragrance. The lavender is what I think makes it smell so weird at first spray but it must be well blended into the overall fragrance because I don’t particularly detect it or really that many of the individual notes after the first 20 minutes or so, other than a beautiful delicate spiciness. Perfectly nice, very polite and polished, doesn’t radiate too strongly but does last quite awhile.

Selling my 40 ml bottle! Used a few times, bottle is as good as new. The drydown is heaven but I cannot get over the opening.
Sending in Germany only. Text me also on IG: radia_parfum

zawwarahmad

Top notes: warn vanilla but the sweetness is a bit synthetic
Middle notes: Candy notes come in with a gourmand statement which is the rise and shine of this fragrance
base notes: cinnamon, vanilla, powdery with that gourmand dna

The synthetic sweetness in the beginning is a big turn off honestly, but overall great dry down and great fragrance for gourmand lovers. I wished it had a longer performance and was blended abit more smooth. 8/10

If anyone wants to buy a decant of this beautiful perfume, message me. I have plenty. And many other perfumes as well.

Feve has gourmand notes but never goes into the edible territory, and it never gets tiring.
To me it's the most unique lipstick scent I have ever sampled.
Texture: softest velvet
Colour: Dusty pinkish brown
Song: I melt with you

Fruit-chan

A wearable Shalimar!
It has all the good stuff that Shalimar has and more!
Sweetness,spices,smokiness,its citrusy,has a beautiful vanilla.
And thankfully it lacks Shalimars "bad" side which arent really a lot but it sure makes a difference on how likable or wearable it can be.
No severy dust powder,no dirty animalic aspects in this so its a good alternative to Shalimar for those who like it but dont dare to wear it.

Esna

Smells amazing and delicious and lasts so so so long but I can’t wear most gourmands for some reason. Why do I not want to smell delicious? I rather smell interesting, different and cool I guess but removing this deliciousness wasn’t easy… Scrubbing my skin raw wasn’t enough, I could still smell it and I think the dna was in my nostrils or something so I had to waterboard myself several times. I’m ok, I do this a lot as a compulsive perfume sampler.

Ryahya

It was love at a first sniff, its not often you can find a sweet ambery vanilla scent that is transparent & floating such as this one, performance is very good, and you can wear them in a mildly summer heat too as long as you dont spray too much.

Price point is a bit overpriced though, although you get a 125 ml in a bottle.

karinavi

with a name like this i thought i was in for something delectable or at least pleasant. lavender baby powder. a mountain of it. then splash some cherry flavored juice on it and throw it all on your grandpa's armchair. my nose actually feels violated.

A decadent dance of sweetness.

Fève Délicieuse by Dior, part of the prestigious La Collection Privée Christian Dior, is a fragrance that invites its wearer into a world of sweet sophistication and indulgence. Crafted by the renowned perfumer François Demachy, this scent is a celebration of one of the most cherished ingredients in perfumery and pastry alike: the tonka bean. Fève Délicieuse is an exquisite interpretation of this ingredient, offering a complex and deeply satisfying olfactory experience.

➡️ First Impressions:
The bottle of Fève Délicieuse exudes the luxury and elegance synonymous with Dior. Its design is both classic and contemporary, reflecting the refined and layered experience within. Upon the first spray, the fragrance immediately envelops the senses in a rich aroma, setting the stage for a truly decadent experience.

➡️ The Scent:
The journey of Fève Délicieuse begins with a subtle yet inviting introduction. The top notes of lavender, bergamot, and mint offer a fresh, slightly herbaceous opening, providing a clean and crisp prelude to the richer heart of the fragrance.

As the scent warms on the skin, the heart reveals its true star: the tonka bean. This central note is rich, sweet, and slightly nutty, evoking a sense of comfort and indulgence. Complementing the tonka bean are notes of jasmine and cherry, which add a floral and fruity dimension, respectively, creating a harmonious balance between sweetness and sophistication.

The base of Fève Délicieuse is where the fragrance finds its depth and lasting power. Notes of caramel, vanilla, and sandalwood provide a creamy, warm, and slightly woody foundation, ensuring that the sweet gourmand qualities of the scent are grounded in a sophisticated and mature finish.

➡️ Longevity and Sillage:
Fève Délicieuse is a fragrance with excellent longevity and moderate to strong sillage. It is a scent that lingers on the skin, its sweet and warm notes slowly evolving throughout the day or night. This lasting power makes it a perfect choice for those who want their fragrance to be a constant, comforting presence.

➡️ Versatility:
This fragrance shines in cooler weather, where its warm and sweet profile can be fully appreciated. While it may be a bit heavy for hot summer days, it's perfect for evenings and special occasions year-round. Its gourmand qualities make it a delightful choice for intimate settings, yet it has enough sophistication to be worn in more formal situations.

➡️ Conclusion:
Fève Délicieuse by Dior is a fragrance that celebrates the richness and complexity of the tonka bean with elegance and indulgence. It is a scent that offers a luxurious escape into a world of sweetness and warmth, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate gourmand fragrances with a sophisticated edge. This scent is not just a fragrance; it's an olfactory dessert, a treat for the senses that leaves a lasting impression of delicious elegance.

loliirain

If you’re looking for a more feminine, gourmand boozy vanilla, I think Guerlain’s Tonka Imperiale is the way to go. Feve deliciuse smells kind of medicinal on me. I couldn’t get past the lavender, bergamot and mint in the opening. I thought those notes would dissipate but they remained present on me for most of the wear time. The vanilla, cocoa, cherry and leather in the drydown was beautiful but I couldn’t get past the opening. Definitely not a safe blind buy, leans more masculine. I would love to smell this on a man, just not on me.

Creamy_ambrette

If you’re expecting a super sweet, gourmand chocolate covered cherry fragrance you will be disappointed.
This is not that.
It wasn’t meant to be.
This is so much more.
Feve is smoky, leathery, semi sweet Tonka bean.
The other notes are there to add nuance to the Tonka bean. There is really nothing else like it.
I’m wearing Feve on one arm and my other arm has Guerlian’s Tonka Imperiale: almond like - tonka, powdery, herbal and sweet.
Commodity Tonka: herbal, aromatic, powdery, hay-like Tonka.
Yes they all share powderiness but Feve has a semi sweet, cocoa dust powderiness with a rich smokiness that has an aromatic touch from the mint but it’s not minty.
It has more similarities to Shalimar than it does to Tonka Imperiale or Tonka.
Feve starts out a smoky, leathery, semi sweet cocoa but as it dries down, it’s becomes more creamy, vanillic and much sweeter.
A few times I’ve dabbed and that’s when I smelled more of the cherry and milky chocolate. It’s really beautiful.

A little tangent: fragrances need multiple wearings before one really gets a full experience of what it smells like.
Many come on here after wearing for 5 minutes and give their first impression as a review.
You’re really just commenting on the top and heart notes.
Fragrances need time to bloom on the skin. You’ll also find your skin chemistry changes the fragrance and your fragrance can smell different and perform differently throughout the day and month (you know what I mean ladies)
The nose needs time to differentiate between the notes. The more fragrances you smell, the more olfactory memories you create, the more notes your nose will recognize.
New bottles perform better a few weeks in, once air has entered the fragrance.
I purchased the 250 Ml bottle of Feve and every time I wear it, I smell a different facet of the fragrance and after selling a few decants, it smells deeper and projects more.
I wouldn’t go out and blind buy a bottle but I would buy a decant or small sample if you’re at all curious. It’s a lovely Tonka fragrance.

bloomis

it’s giving grandma a little bit. a sophisticated one. i got a sample of this cause the notes caught my attention and i love gourmands, but i was disappointed as this doesn’t feel like a gourmand to me at all. The sandalwood and lavender are very strong on me

Vesperexa

What in the root beer, marzipan, grandpa's leather armchair is this? I don't know. This may be a masterpiece and I just have bad taste in perfume, but I find it sickening. This smells like Santa's old recliner.

Paintedtrillium

Such a disappointment. A muddied mess of notes. Not well blended and does not appeal to me. So glad I sampled. Will not be purchasing this disaster.

gedlive

I resisted getting this; Dispite many good reviews I heard, from Sebastian, and elsewhere.
Gourmands are OK, but not my favorite.
I have Hermes Abre Nargile, and thought, that's enough.
From the name and reviews, I thought it was going to be a very yummy, foody gourmand, full of honey and sweets. - Indulgent, but very unsophisticated.
Well, I was wrong. It is a bit sweet and yummy. But it is sophisticated, chic and elegant.
It is based on Tonka, which I like a lot. It's a nutty spice. But not so foody.
I have LeLabo Tonka which is very nice Tonka. But this is much more complex, and well blended.
I tried Guerlain Tonka Imperial. It smelled good, but jazzed up with aldehydes, and smelled more synthetic overall. The Tonka is more dominant here with Feve.
This is like Dior Diorama, but quite a bit better. A more interesting and enjoyable composition.
I got a good deal on eBay for a used bottle.
If you never tried, or where on the fence. A safe blind buy. It is unique, and one of the very best gourmands.

OK what's with the opening of this fragrance?

I was ready to come on here a slate this fragrance heavily as one of those many fragrances overhyped by the masses. The scent then changed, and it almost transformed into something beautifully sweet, not BR540 sweet. this is like a well crafted dessert . This is one of those that is worth the hype.

Erm...that being said though, I only like this, I don't love it as much as I thought I would, to me it is a fantastic fragrance and it is one I would immediately recommend if someone was looking for this kind of profile of fragrance. I just cannot see myself buying it or wearing it.. I feel and think the exact way about really exquisite sushi; I can really appreciate the artistry and I can see myself trying it just to experience that, but it will never replace my food of choice.

This is such a long lasting, sexy scent. It's sweet but doesn't give full edible type gourmand. It's date night sexy. Long black dress ruby red lip sexy and Sensual.

Tembacat

Hmm, the opening is very powdery, which didn't give me a lot of confidence. Much as I like the notes that develop and peek out and blend in the drydown, it never loses that baby powdery smell that dominates everything else. This one is not for me unfortunately.

Craytrans

smells like a generic body cream about to go bad almost sour almond body cream smell , i love it i dont know why lol , the dry down is strong and lasts , i don't get gourmand to me , maybe cause i worked in a spa for over 10years and this reminds me of a almond body butter cream on the verge of going off , but i like it comforting to me lol 9/10

What’s a good replacement for this? It was my favorite perfume for quite some time. So unique and beautiful.

Dicontinued !

this gem is on it's way to be discontinued .
go get your backup bottle or your first decant while it still available on the shelves.

Creamy_ambrette

Please message me if you have a bottle and want to sell it - for a reasonable price. I’m the CONUS. Thanks 💕I purchased a 250 Ml and it’s amazing. Thank you all who contacted me.

PatEL9

The opening is for me the same like in Shalimar Philtre de Parfum and I hate it. Bug spray. The rest is magical.

Missym75

If you're in the uk you can find a very close copy of this perfume at Perfume Parlour (fragrance is called bean tasty) obviously not as good longevity, but for such a low price point you can just re-apply!!!! Such a shame it has been discontinued. ☹️

JmThms

My first impression is this is too cloying, and the note blend doesn't quite suit my nose. Lavender is my favorite note but maybe when blended into very sweet compositions it rubs my nose the wrong way. I noticed that with Xerjoff Naxos, which I like but the lavender-sweet pairing can start to rub me the wrong way after some time. I generally like sweet scents, and am OK with Gourmands. Fève Délicieuse is OK, I guess, but Gourmands dominated by dried fruit, plum, date, and sweet spice notes, maybe with some booze, remain my favorites, such as Le Dandy by D'Orsay and Serge Lutens Arabie.

OfTheValley

I love it.
Even if there's no cinnamon listed, it turns into a cinnamon bomb on my skin.
Usually I am not a fan of cinnamon, but maybe this works because it's a combination of mint and lavender and not actual cinnamon.
This tends to be masculine but I love it on me, which is strange, since I am a fan of overly sweet gourmand notes.
It's such a unique scent and combination of notes!
I will cherish it in winter, but wear it only at home in summer, it can be too much otherwise.

AubreeRichelle

I owned this perfume briefly, but it is SO Overhyped. On my skin it smelled like pure baby powder & spices. Any sweetness from the tonka or cherry completely disappeared on me. My friends absolutely hate the smell & I had to scrub it off. Unfortunately for me it projected quite well & lasted forever. If u want something like this that actually smells gourmand, the Alexandria Fragrances dupe is perfect.

Londonchick

This is not what i expected…..
i dont get a lot if the listed notes.
Its not my vibe but theres no doubt its a quality composition.
I get a leathery floral powdery tonka vanilla fragrance which is nice but a bit generic
I sense a hint if lavender but sadly dont really get any cherry.
Worth sampling but dont blind buy

Pulp

I remember the first time I tried this perfume on the back of my hand. I sniffed it so much that now there is a hole on the back of my hand. True story.

Natalieex

I can see why some people are disappointed when they sample this. Some of the reviews describe this as the ultimate sugary sweet gourmand, something that smells like a desert that will have your mouth watering. Yes this smells HEAVENLY but Feve is so much more complex than some of these reviews make it out to be. If you’re looking for something that smells like a desert then you might be disappointed.

It’s a mix of gourmand, aromatic and spicy notes that have been blended to perfection. The opening is very herbal and aromatic and as it dries down the gourmand notes come out and it turns sweeter and powdery, almost velvety.

For me it’s very cosy and festive, but most importantly it’s wearable. I don’t find it to be as sweet as some reviews suggest, imo it’s a perfectly unisex gourmand. It is delicious, but not in the way you might expect.

10/10

CurlGurl

Smells exactly like a cherry chai latte. Do I love the smell? Yes. Do I want to smell like it? No. I don't want to smell like food. Still, a lovely fragrance, but is a room fragrance to me.

WifeyPink

Why did I wait so long to try this?! It's an absolute LOVE for me. Beautiful powdery chocolate with cinnamon on my skin. Like a just out of the oven warm chocolate cake with cinnamon icing or those blue packs of hot cocoa mix with some cinnamon on top. I just adore this. Pulls very different on my mom's skin, she gets more of a licorice vibe. I thought that was interesting. Good projection and longevity. Very happy with my bottle

arvanitakimaria523

This is an absolute love for me ...I mostly get the cacao, caramel, milk and powder..It is warm, cozy, delicious but well balanced and not too much..
One of my favorite winter scents

Maleficent's cotton candy

My impression of this fragrance without first looking up the notes was almond, white floral (tiare?) and coconut. Not sweet, synthetic, suntan oil coconut, but getting an outdoor massage in Hawaii coconut. Lactonic, powdery, tropical. High-end Lush Furze but transcending the play doh note.

Dior’s gift wrapping was absolutely stunning and over the top.

10/10 all the way around.

lmnsvgz

Sweet, but I dont detect the notes separately. I have to try it again in the future. I just got a well-blended sweet scent, nothing too prominent to my nose.

Kizzyb93

To be honest, I’m not sure if I love this one or dislike it. The opening to me is super sweet. However, the mint in this green in the background really has started to irritate my nose which is something I didn’t detect at first when I first bought this… I’m in a really like it mint really does push it to be masculine I do know this could also be because of the lavender. However, the mint just irritates me

Besscenza

Don't bother unless you find a 2015 batch. The latest batches don't even compare.

scentualmango

Fragrance has a funny way of translating differently to so many noses and that’s what makes it magical to me! ✨

(2015 decant) When I first studied the notes, I expected this to be warm, sweet, earthy and a bit bitter. Please don’t get me wrong, it’s all of that, but also medicinal and ever so slightly powdery on my skin. In fact, it stays medicinal after the first spray and middle notes. After it unfolds it becomes warm, addictive, sultry even. I’d agree that there’s “a lot going on,” but that makes it so complex and interesting. I find myself burying my head into my arm to see what will happen next.

I would say this is definitely unisex, almost even split, but the lavender tilts it a bit more “masc.” Definitely a winter, evening scent and absolutely recommended for a date.

While it’s not for me at this very stage in my life, it’s something to appreciate and cherish.

LALDN

The notes don’t correlate exactly but it is a beautiful scent. It’s a powdery sharp cherry vanilla tonka scent. It’s something that immediately made me think of my mother, but in a good way. When this dries down it’s really really comforting and pleasant. Perhaps a touch too much powder for my personal taste but I can see the appeal for those that love it.

rainydays

I didn't like this in the opening. The syrupy sweet gourmand mix of caramel, vanilla, and cocoa with the aromatic mint and lavender on top, and tart cherry somewhere in the middle, was too much going on. However it softened after a few minutes and grew on me. This smells like ordering a warm, wintertime beverage in a cozy bookshop with incense burning. Very much unisex. I don't love this for me, it's still confusing, but I appreciate it.

AryanasPerfumes

I was expecting something nuclear :sweet, gourmand especially after everyone is raving about it. I find it very aromatic/ spicy /amber and very masculine. I will pass my decant on to my husband.

LALDN

I was expecting something delicious. Obviously from that name. Unfortunately all I got was a weird deep spicy powder. This is definitely a miss for me.

josephineds

So I bought a test sample after seeing so many positive reviews on it... it's a bit dissapointing, it's not as delicious as people say, it's not a gourmand, I don't get any vanilla, chocolat or caramel all I get is lavender and amber, the typical powdery smell you get with dior and chanel. No cacao, no milk, no praline. It dries down a little sweeter but wouldn't call it edible. The lavendar fades quite a bit leaving that powdery smell and a bit of sweetness. Obviously I don't know what other people smell when I pass by, maybe it develops differently on my body than the test strip or my wrist... idk

AnlisaC

A very spicy vanillic fragrance. Can be worn by any gender. On me long lasting and will leave a sillage which will leave people wondering what is that wonderful fragrance. I love it and wil always have it in my collection. Great for fall winter and cool spring days. Night or day wearable. Highly recommended 10/10

Tyriel

Welcome to the club luna6991. My first bottle is from the very first 2015 batch. Amazing fragrance! I hope you will end up loving it.

luna6991

I just had to come on fragrantica to share my purchase of the century: I bid on a bottle of FD on eBay and managed to get it in the end for 140€. When I received the bottle, I checked the batchcode of the perfume (original box was also included) out of curiosity and nearly fell of my chair... I now have an original 2015 version of Feve Delicieuse.

And how does it smell? Well, if I'm being 100% honest, I like it but I do not LOVE it (same with the newer version) - but let's see if this changes in the future. But as I collect discontinued fragrances and perfumes with the older formulas, this is one I will cherish very much.

Ilikewhatilike

Very wearable gourmand and one that I keep finding myself reaching for. Not sickly sweet, lots of naturals and an interesting effect from the lavender and mint blending in. I feel tasty wearing it on a date and find it is even appropriate for the office. Fun name to say as well :)

Preforms well. Well done Dior!

ValDelicieuse

I love this smell. It is so refined, the gourmand has depth. I think this is brought by the mild lavender and mint notes. Sweet and sexy and lasts hours. Vanilla, caramel, tonka bean, praline, and cream are present for sure.

SofieSecret

Smells sweet but I HATE the mint and lavender. I like the sweetness hidden beneath the warm spicy notes. This would have been perfect without the lavender and mint.

shalla.marie

Omg....this is a magnificent scent. There's so much going on...SOOOO many notes in one that smooooth into one lovely refined scent. I'm happy I bought a big devant of this.

Full bottle worthy.

So on the top notes, I'm getting a beautiful creamy and rounded lavender.

Then upon the dry-down I'm getting more and more syrup or caramel but again it's smooooooth.

Imagine a cold day and you pass by a lavender garden on your way to your significant other's house , then you walk into their house and you're met with warm air coming from the kitchen and that air smells like the buttery caramel cookies they're cooking just for you 2. The gourmand scent is now mixing up with the very recent memory of those fresh lavender flowers you smelt.

You slowly take off your coat and you pause to take in the moment because you're just happy to be home, cosy and inside.

That's what this perfume smells like.

derby2169

Testing this back to back with Tonka Imperiale. Not very similar at all although both are tonka centered and are often compared.

Feve Delicieuse is definitely the more feminine leaning one. Already when smelling the atomizer I get an intense rum like sweetness, vanilla, benzoin with plenty of cinnamon with a distinct cosmetic element to it. It binds nicely to skin and projects well in a radiant yet very stable way, with a lot of the florals and more syrupy components evident from further away, a dense vanilla amber accord sitting closer to the skin and predominating the dry down.
It's quite 80s in my mind reminding me of fragrances such as Joop Le Bain in the way it is spicy, nutty and vanillic and ambery, but with a good amount of florals cutting through, 'breathing air through it' in a way.

I expect to be blown away with it given the hype and price tag and because I am a fan of Demachy. Overall nice, but not quite intriguing enough for me on a personal level. Definitely something that would smell nicer on a spectacular older woman in her 40s, the type that loves the Hermes Merveilles line but is looking for something more fancy for special events.

SmellPretty54

I’d heard this was discontinued so I ordered a clone rather than try to search for a bottle of the original. I ordered another fragrance from dior.com and decided to search on this item-it didn’t show up in the list of available fragrances-and was able to purchase a bottle. Don’t know why it never occurred to me before now to do a name search on the website, but happy I found it

Brooklynjade

Intoxicating!! Gorgeous gourmand that is easily unisex. Lavender, tonka and soft cherry with hints of boozy vanilla and caramel. A divine confection. Top 10 for life worthy. Love.

Captain Odour

A very smoky vanilla with sour cherry and perhaps the most unique and distinct Tonka I've smelled. An acquired taste for sure, and I'd recommend sampling before buying. Definitely unisex, though I feel it'd be easier for a man to wear.

lechickpea

Wow! This is undeniably gorgeous and memorable. It's so *deep* - deep and dark, rich, boozy vanilla on a black leather base. I personally think this is better suited for men, but would be a beautiful bold statement on a woman as well.

aaronmilic

Sampling this one today, I like it. However I think the main theme of this fragrance has already been covered with Vanilla Diorama which I have. That one is a dirty vanilla, this one is a sweeter vanilla with baby powder and every once in a while the cherry comes through.

Very nice and definitely worth trying, warm, elegant. But I think I'll stick with my Vanilla Diorama and pass on a full bottle for this one.

mommymilkers

Amazingly sweet and gourmand. The punch of citrus in the opening is nonexistent. All vanilla and tonka bean. I love tonka so this is probably the best imo from Dior's private line. From the opening to the drydown, you can smell the vanilla. I LOVE VANILLA. It's like a dessert.

Mira J

I normally don't write reviews for fragrances I dislike but this was such a disappointment. As a gourmand lover this made it to my to-try list very quickly. But it comes off as a muddied and dry blend of powdery Tonka Bean to my nose. Not pleasant to wear at all. I don't get any of the other lovely notes, just that dry, strange Tonka Bean. As popular as this scent is, it's actually pretty polarizing imo. Glad so many can appreciate this but I will be giving away my sample immediately.

intofolklore

WOW.... this is remarkable. Take the best features of Dior Homme Parfum, MMM Lipstick On, and TF Lost Cherry and mix them together to create a beautiful warm tart cherry powder masterpiece. This may be one of my new all-time favorites - I want my entire life to smell like this.

LaUltraViolet

I only smell tonka bean and leather in the drydown.

sjt422

Something is regal about this in the winter. It's probably too baby powderish for warmer weather, but performs beautifully in the winter.

laurenannika

This one sounded like it was right up my alley with the note description but sadly all I get from it is baby powder, none of the beautiful vanilla I hear described by others

bambam2000

This fragrance is just so meh that I can't even explain it. It reminds me of being in a barbershop. The scent is so strong, and very much not sweet like other reviews are saying. I was expecting something so much different than what people were saying about it. This just wasn't for me, and definitely not blind buy worthy.

RajahSaheb

This is one of the yummiest fragrances I've ever come across. Gave it to my wife and I can't get enough of smelling her wrists. I have a couple of decants from when it first came out so no idea if the current batches are still the same.

Summer6292

I managed to get a full 250ml bottle of this last week and omg I’m in love!!!! I totally understand the hype and have fallen hook line and sinker for this masterpiece. Am I the only one who gets deeper lost cherry vibes from this? I have another brand new full bottle if anyone wants to buy it!!

RottigrlNYC

The bottles sold on the Dior site right now has beed butchered by reformulating it. It’s weaker and just not near as good as the older batches. But I was lucky enough to have a friend sell me a 30mls decant from her vintage bottle. If I knew they would reformulate, I would have bought a few bottles yrs ago. This fragrance is so beautiful. Gourmand deliciousness. I’m using my 30mls sparingly. The original formula Feve can be found for purchase but for 5 times the price. And that’s IF you can even trust the seller to sell you an original bottle and not a fake. Oh yes there are lots of fakes being sold. Sadly.

Swashbuckler9x

Why are Dior discontinuing this, and Rose Gipsy, you ask?

Because the Dior head office should stop snorting blow and making 'experimental and edgy' decisions in a desperate attempt to boost sales on the shop floor or revamp the brand.
"Oh, this is discontinued BUT YOU'RE IN LUCK! WE'VE GOT 3 LEFT!"

Fragrances have souls, and I weep for Dior's private line being treated as cash cows and liabilities.

greekbasil

Batches are real yall. The 2015-17 are pretty different from the newer batches. Make sure you try both. The older batches are less powdery

niagara2

this goes very leathery-juicy/lemony on me. the opening is a statement but dissipates quickly into something manageable. not sure why the comparison to tonka imperiale, these are two rather different fragrances; tonka imperiale is linear, elegant, and tonka-oriented, whereby fève has an outdoorsy, leathery, fruity feel. if I had to choose I'll say tonka imperale all the way. fève is nice, even great, but not phenomenal.

Edit: this grew on me tremendously. Considering full bottle, lol.

Arber Cami

This is a powdery, tonka bean and sweet vanilla bomb. From the opening its sweet, I also get a chocolate/cocoa undertone. For me its more of a female oriented fragrance. Too sweet for me.

diuvco

I got this recently as a blind buy after seeing many people rave about it. When I first sprayed it yesterday, it smelled like some sort of incense. I know some people were saying it smelled like baby powder, but I personally did not get that. It was pleasant, but not something I personally wanted to smell like and was a bit disappointed.
Then I smelled the dry down.
It's such a pretty vanilla fragrance once you've given it time to settle! I literally rolled out of bed just to put it on again lmao definitely a new favorite of mine. I would say it is a true fall/winter fragrance, I cannot picture myself wearing this any other time of year.

This does not smell like anything “baby”! I’m so sorry for those who get this association…

Yes, it does have an almond play dough note on dry-down, but I never thought of it that way-more like toasty milky almond soap. Oh, and it does have a vague soapiness, which leans towards masculine scents due to astringent soap presence. But it’s absolutely unisex. Opening is delicious, sweet, fruity, tart, herbal, vanilla, nutty, even a little effervescent. There’s a lot going on with some interesting note combinations. The dry-down of sweet powdery toasty milky almond aroma morphs in different phases of the scent and lasted for days on my sweater sleeve that I test sprayed. I kept getting pleasant whiffs of it and being surprised at how lasting it was. I decided to get a large decant of it, to experience it more. It’s moderate to strong. Overall, great composition that will grow on you. 8/10
And I only see a very vague resemblance to Tonka Imp., which is nice on its own but weak. Dior Del. is more interesting in many ways.

TheSniffer

Smells like baby powder, or as my sister-in-law put it “an unused baby’s nappy”.

Now you may think this is a negative review. It isn’t. This is the best damn baby powder/unused nappy in the world and if it wasn’t so expensive I’d buy the biggest bottle I could find. Amazing stuff, one of the greats and truly worthy of a sniff.

xxdarkstarxx

IMO do not blind buy - I wish it would smell like what others are getting but on my skin it’s a powdery play-doh. I don’t mind the play-doh vibe in Hypnotic Poison but I’m just not feeling it in this one. Powdery with some spices and play-doh - that’s it.

errrllyn

omg i love it. i can’t get enough of it omg omg omg

emnelson

This is the third fragrance I've tried and been let down by from Dior's private line. There must be something about my skin chemistry that doesn't work with the brand. On me, this opened with harsh, synthetic vanilla and caramel, and ended up drying down to something that reminds me of expensive leather mixed with Hypnotic Poison's play-dough vanilla (not entirely unpleasant, but not what I personally want to smell like...).

*loves_shoes*

I can’t express how much I love this.
Uplifting. Sweet. A bit Christmassy. Warm. Smooth. Boozy. Spicy.
I get a powdery waft. A bit milky.
It’s just beautiful.
I need a full bottle!

Lucyintheskywithdiamonds

Snif snif. This is how our home kitchen smelled when my mother baked vanilla buns. Enough said - absolutely likeable comfort scent.

Bkrause

This fragrance must really react differently for me. Opening is minty lavender ( a bit medicinal) mid goes into sour cherry & the ending is a cherry baby powder.

star~kitty

I got a decant of this and the opening is STRONG. So strong I though it surely had to be another fragrance. Incense strong. Waaaay different than Gourmand Kiss. But then it mellows into a rich and beautiful fragrance.

Is that super strong opening anyone else’s experience?

Tina905

I had purchased this blindly based off of reviews.

To me this is a powdery tonka fragrance with lavender although I like it I’m not sure I am in love with it. I personally find it a bit challenging of when to wear it so I often reach for it on a cozy day in… a bit expensive for that type of scent. Overall I can appreciate the work but it’s not my personal favourite.

7/10

lorna.1

So sad that this is officially discontinued. I spoke to Dior in Selfridges and they confirmed Belle De Jour, Terra Bella, Grand Ball and Feve are discontinued, however, my email started it was a supply issue from the online Dior, which is so confusing. Back up bottles are needed no matter what. Sad as the new Vanilla fragrance is not as good.

thestranger

For the first few minutes on my wrist, every time I tried to breathe this scent in deeply, I straight up gagged. I don’t remember what they smelled like. Either those top notes vanished or I got used to it, because that gross smell vanished and is now replaced by what smells like a leather handbag.

Wondering what this drydown is going to be. The bottle itself smells completely different than what is on my arm right now. We’ll see

AntoniaJS

This is a real masterpiece! I would like if someone could sell me a sample of this beauty; i have tried the 2020 version and it is just not the same. Please, if anyone can sell me a sample, i would deeply appreciate!

MyMuse

To my nose, this is a spicier, boozier cousin of Tonka Imperiale. After a rich—tonka and praline—opening, the scent mellows into a gorgeously decadent aroma of spiced rum, threaded through with the bitter cacao and leather accords. The leather is never crisp, but well-aged, darkened from use, like a favorite armchair one might’ve inherited from their grandfather, the cacao—a full-bodied, unsweetened Guittard. I get no jasmine, no freesia, and only a soft whiff of lavender, so well-blended with the base, it is hardly perceptible. An hour into it, the fragrance develops sweet tobacco notes, which seamlessly blend with the vanilla and spice. A sexy, delicious (albeit not even remotely edible) scent, Feve Delicieuse is not as linear as Tonka Imperiale, nor does it lean mostly feminine, eventually settling into a truly intoxicating unisex skin scent. If I were to describe the olfactory equivalent of the elusive hygge—this would be it. Initially, I was reluctant to purchase a full bottle, but easily gave in after a few hours of wear. A cold weather beauty.

SimplDude

I am reviewing this frag based off a 10 ml decant. I am still exploring this frag but I thought it leans a little more to the feminine side. It has vanilla, chocolate and some mint vibe and kind of powdery. Not a bad fragrance but to my skin, it’s quite complex.

This is one of those fragrances that i need to give some time to grow on me. A kind of fragrance that has to match the right skin chemistry with its composition for an expected gorgeous aroma.

Other than the Sauvage lines, my favorites from CDior are Tuxedo, Amber Nuit and Oud Ispahan. I need some full wearings of this FD for a more objective update.

Brb 😉👍

mb0793

Smells similar to Guerlain Tonka Imperial but with less edge and more powder. It's a nice perfume but not something unique.

style1015

This is a lovely fragrance, and my first that I've tried from the Christian Dior Privee line. I like this scent, but I'm not obsessed with it. I'm happy with my 10ml decant and will use it, but I'm unsure if I would purchase a full bottle. It is warm and slightly sweet, but definitely not too sweet (like Tobacco Vanille.) The sour cherry note makes sense, there's a slight freshness/brightness to it from that sourness and I'm assuming the lavender, mint and bergamot. To me the opening comes off a bit powdery, so I understand where the people are coming from who mention that they get baby powder vibes. The majority of the powdery-ness wears off after 30 minutes, but it's definitely a big part of the fragrance. Nevertheless Feve Delicieuse is well blended.

The bulk of the scent is warm and comforting, with the tonka bean, vanilla, and lactonic notes. It's not an overwhelming scent- many warm, sweet fragrances have a huge presence but this one is nicely soft. It lasts a while, but it isn't like a cloud of strong scent that will overwhelm. Basically, it's warm, slightly sweet, with a powdery freshness. It's elegant without being too luxe, and it's fully unisex. I do enjoy it, but it's not a fragrance I'd die for. I'm looking forward to trying more from this line though!

migue_fut_nata

Im in love with this fragrance! I won't try to explain what this smells like since im not able to but i can tell you what it tastes like. It smells just how that ice cream cherry garcia tastes. I love it for that reason.

IamdrinkingBeer

It's bitterly cold and grey-ish in a big city...you are outside in a warm coat...a beautiful girl gives you a hug...wait...that's not a girl...you actually put a few sprays of Dior Fève Délicieuse, but the feeling is as equally as good.

nehima

Baby powder and vicks vaporub

DJoy27

How is cinnamon not a note in this? It’s all cinnamon and powder.
Idk if I can get my nose around this one. It gives me a headache ): I’m sad about it.

returnatyourperil

this is a mess at first (scratchy green notes mixed with medicinal cherries and floral notes, ending up smelling like lukewarm cloth) but it dries down to a chai latte scent. not worth a FB

aflakes

I really wanted to love this given the positive reviews and notes in this fragrance. However, this smells like playdough with a hint of powdery vanilla on me. Super disappointed.

TheBottomLine

I have a partial 250 ml vintage bottle (with box) for sale if anyone is interested - send me a PM.

DJoy27

Right after spraying it it smells like strong baby powder, cinnamon and rum. Someone said the dry down smells like play doh on them and after wearing this for a bit I’m getting a little of that too. Kind of salty and still baby powdery…I’m scared to say this, but I was changing my baby’s diaper and the fresh diaper smelled the same to me if it was also full of spicy cinnamon🤭 I’ll have to try it in the fall and winter, I just wanted to smell it now (it’s summer.) I like it, don’t love it…it’s odd tho I find myself sniffing it again and again whenever I walk by my dresser. Anyway, was hoping for more caramel, cocoa and vanilla. Didn’t think there would be SO much powder (or any at all). Will revisit in cooler weather. 😬

Pomme de Terrier

This fragrance seems to heavily tailor its presentation based on skin chemistry. Lavender and mint dominated the opening, with a hint of bergamot. The middle notes were almost exclusively sweet cherry similar to Lost Cherry with tonka. Lovely for those who cover cherry scents. I do, but will site with this sample a bit before deciding if it is worth the splurge.

Purchase at Dior boutiques or their online store front.

doseofdaly

Wouldn't normally go for something too sweet, I love this! I've been trying to find a bottle of it.... can any one help? Pleeeeasee!

CurlGurl

Smells like a chai latte with cherries to put it simply. Definitely a cool weather perfume.

LovelyLifestyle

This is a sour cherry bomb.
All I get is sour cherry with some caramel and vanilla underneath.
The only thing that makes it slightly interesting is the subtle greeness it has from the lavender and mint.
But even then, that cherry note was a middle child and is desperate for attention.

The caramel and vanilla are the only things keeping this fragrance from smelling like a Target body spray that is marketed to 13 year old girls.

I would never wear this.

dilagrms

The perfume does remind me of Lipstick On by Maison Margiela, which is now sadly discontinued. It is not the same scent but it definitely has the same vibe and some notes are very similar

ceeceelee

I bought a 30ml small bottle instead of going all in, at the time all they had available was the larger size. On me this leans too masculine, but still a slightly sweet, vanilla, creamy, amber, spicy (I guess from the benzoin) scent. It's gorgeous, a well rounded, beautifully blended fragrance. I gave it to my college age son, he loves it and smells amazing on him. My husband felt it was too feminine for him, lol. I think our ages and gender biases are showing. Youth seems to be more fluid and flexible about these things, although I vehemently oppose a fragrance being labeled either male or female I still differentiate scents on me. Go figure.

mamafrag

Oh my goodness I can't believe there is no cinnamon in this. On my skin it's a cinnamon bun bomb and I freaking love it! I own many perfumes and never wanted this bc I thought it was so hyped and I'm not a gourmand lover. But I ended up picking up a 40ml and woah! I'm in love!

angelina.hz

I find it so surprising that some people find this sweet. It's just very medicinal booziness to my nose. It's quite spicy syrupy smell.

pamelapuffadder

This was a big disappointment to me which i sampled after reading these reviews. I love tonka bean, vanilla, praline. I own Guerlain Spirituese Double Vanilla and Tonka Imperiale. I loved this at first but then the dry down left me with an arm that smells like Playdoh. Ugh. It was a scrubber. I am glad i nly bought a 2 ml. Sample. So, close but no cigar.

NICHE SNOB

Absolutely gorgeous, one of the best put together perfumes I’ve smelled.

hsiangchi.huang

NOT your typical gourmand; to me, this is a warm spicy (leaning towards masculine) scent.

It's definitely a fall/winter scent, meaning heavy. I get a lots of dry warm spices like clove, nutmeg, cinnamon or maybe it's the tonka beans. Reminds me of mulled wine but with a cherry base, heavy on the spices.

I'm expecting something more delicious... but this is not.

blossomka

5.5/10. Amaretto liquor and baby talcum powder. Makes me cough. I was tempted to wash it off but once the powder dies down it improves to heliotrope sweet cakes. That first stage is quite rough and not for the sensitive sniffer.

Turquoise11

One of my favorite fragrances to wear. Dark enchanted forest fairytale vibes. Mysterious, dense, sugary sweet my friend considers this too masculine and I cannot even make an attempt at understanding how she got that impression. To my nose there is nothing masculine about this fragrance although it can absolutely be worn by a man. Feve smells like it could have been from the house of Lolita Lempicka (before they began watering their fragrances). This is absolutely perfect for an enchantress like myself who performs magic spells beneath the light of a full moon. Absolutely incomparable and one of the most magical and addictive fragrances I’ve smelled in quite some time. My goodness this is amazing through and through. When casting spells this is what I reach for.

Miss Maven Moon

I like this, but its another Fragrance I will be giving to my BF. Its a bit too masculine for me, but Ill absolutely devour him when he wears this.

mynameismaryam

Am I the only person who doesn't like this perfume? I don't hate sweet perfume at all, but the initial blast from this is aggressively sweet. The the spice is not the type of warm spice I normally want - its like sniffing a packet of dry spices. Overall, its too harsh for me. I prefer Tobaccolor and Spice Blend in the same vein from MCD.

Freedom#1

I get cherry and lavender and lots of Powdery smell happening. Dry down is a dry vanilla Smokey. I didn’t love it

Lautar

Perfect autumn. Perfect chocolate. The perfect gourmet fragrance.
Blissfully calm, like the morning when you don't have to rush anywhere. Warm, like a favorite blanket with funny reindeer. Soft as a curled-up cat. Sweet as the aroma of hot chocolate from the open door of a small cafe. Dark and deep, like an autumn park: dusky lavender, leather-vanilla: a forgotten glove on a leafy bench. The alchemy of autumn, turning gold into copper...

clemmy

Gourmand balsamic unisex.
Gourmand with a hint of sourness (the citrus) and floral (lavender+ fresia) that will develop in a sweet creamy and powdery skin scent.
Personally among notes I cannot detect cherry and jasmine, but the rest is there and well blended.
It is unique and definitely a masterpiece. 4.5/5

ekowala7

Perhaps foolishly, when I started my fragrance journey, I was determined to try every cherry note out there. Deep dark cherries were one of my mother's favourite things to eat growing up and I get a little teary eyed smelling them, thinking about bowls of cherries shared over the kitchen table with her in my youth.

FD...firstly, this is what I wished Guerlain LPRN would be, but isn't. I immediately get cherries and am brought back to the kitchen table with my mom. There is a warmth to this fragrance, a sweetness, brought by the cherries, and the ever so slightly powderiness of the lavender and tonka bean. It is very smooth, very well blended and brings me back to my childhood somehow.

I don't like fruity and powder at all but the way this is composed, I don't notice any one note being harsh or sticking out.

Longevity is wonderful, 6-7 hours on skin, silage is strong - you can go gentle on the trigger.

Overall 7/10, personally, but 9.5/10 overall. This is not one that feels like me when I wear it personally but holy crap, does this do something to me. One of the most beautifully blended fragrances out there.

Ksj_

Wow.

What a smooth multilayered fragrance. The powdery/vanilla/tobacco is to die for. It has such complexity and is beautifully blended IMO.

Side note:

This was was a must buy at first spray.

Nicely done Dior.

This one is one of the most amazing fragrances I have ever smelled and I have smelled a lot but I don’t get the feeling to write a review that often. Keep in mind I have 2016 bottle and I never smelled the newer 2018 reformulated version which people say that it’s different. First when regular no -fragrance interested people smell this they are amazed with its quality and they keep telling me it’s a 10/10 when I ask for a grade, plus they ask me where they can buy it. This is an amalgamation of gourmand, classy, sexy sort of scent. I’m gonna cherish that 2016 bottle for a long time since newer ones don’t have a good reputation. Love this.

CheesyGarlicBread

First spray out of my sample decant and I was like whoa..amazing, then it was strange and spicy. I kept smelling something spicy like cinnamon on my skin(weird, I know). 30 mins It was too sweet. More almond/cherry than vanilla.Very powdery and floral by my nose. I was thinking a little too mature for me and hey- I'm in my 40s so there's that. I was glad I just had a decant.

Two hours later, I am totally digging this. It's turned into an elegant gourmand. Wow. Cozy, warm, gently sweet vanilla. If you like a gourmand that's not so "in your face" this is it. Not much for projection. More projection than AV Orchidee Vanilla but less than CD Hypnotic poison.

I am totally down with this! Amazed at how this unfolded and looking forward to what's to come.

selinu

wow... I am writing this right after trying it for the first time. Now this is how you should do a gourmand.. very skillful handling of praline, cacao and caramel with LAVENDER , CEDAR and of course very prominent tonka, vanilla and cherry notes... I am speechless!

It’s not like other oftenly poor made overpriced niche gourmands, the ones smell like you mixed every note in your hand and came with a weird synthetic-sweet mash overload with some notes trying to peak up but always subdued by the caos of the fragrance.

Feve Delicieuse is so well blended but you can appreciate every single note on it‘s own. The leather note becomes relatively more recognizable as it dries down, despite this being rather a linear fragrance. BUT even though the “sum” of the scent is linear overall, the notes behave like they are dancing under the roof of the ballroom of this fragrance! When I smell my arm continously, 1 second praline shows up and then leather, then tonka and the vanilla comes onto stage carrying the cherry on top of them, then praline again gets front of them hand to hand with cacao and the show goes on with cedar and lavender being the back up dancers. OUT OF THE WORLD QUALITY!
The only downside is the projection is on the lower side but I am too hooked on watching the show even if it’s not a loud one.

PerfumedMelissa

Lovely, spicy gourmand fragrance. Smells absolutely delicious. For me, this dries down to a nice vanilla after hour 3. I will always have this in my collection.

Fève Délicieuse Christian Dior opens with notes of lavender, mint, vanilla, leather and benzoin. It seems more masculine than feminine to me. There is a warm and thick familiar powdery scent lingering in the background, similar to baby powder. Tonka, cacao, caramel, yes, they are all there. It’s been two hours, and as I’m searching for each individual note, it hits me- this smells identical to A&D ointment. For those of you with no children, A&D ointment is used as a preventive for diaper rash. NOT SEXY!
Is my extremely sensitive nose not working correctly today, I wonder? I will wait a few more hours to see if the notes evolve from A&D into the masterpiece this is hyped up to be. And, I'll get some evaluations from my lovely, trendy teenage daughters.

It’s been four more hours. The fragrance has not evolved past A&D ointment. I am disappointed. My daughters summaries: Daughter #1 (22yo): Smells like baby wipes; Daughter #2 (21yo): Just like kids cold medicine, Daughter #3 (17yo): Smells like Avon Skin so Soft that we used to repel mosquitoes as kids.

This fragrance, although odd IMO, does perform great, longevity and projection are both top notch. But, I don’t want to smell like diaper ointment, so I’m taking a pass. I will return this bottle.

Rating: 1/10. It's not overtly offensive; its just not sexy or appealing in any stretch of the imagination.
Compliments: 0/10.
Projection: 8/10; Sillage: 8/10; Application: 4 atomizations. Performance: 9/10
Ages: None. I don’t know anyone, at any age, who wants to intentionally smell like diaper ointment, so I’m leaving this blank.
Blind-Buy: No, definitely get a decant and sample this first. And, get some honest and candid opinions from someone you trust before you spend $250 on a bottle of this.

ingeneuxo

-Reminiscent of JPG- Gaultier 2, a discontinued scent.
-More powdery and feminine-leaning than Gaultier 2.
-It's a nice, spicy scent.
-Not fbw. (-)

Kloppo

A leatherier and fruitier Tobacco Vanille to me, which makes this one a little more masculine imo. For ladies looking for a gourmand, Xerjoff Italica (Pre-2021 reformulation is like saffron fudge) and initio side effect is even better for a cherry tobacco.

cathrinejohanne91

Hm. This is not what I was expecting. On me this leans more masculine than feminine. So I’m giving this to my boyfriend. I like the smell but this isn’t my cup of tea. And yes I can totally understand what people are saying about the baby powder. So weird!

Edit - After an hour this smells like cola! The cherry cola! With some creamy powdery note. It’s fresh. I think I like it now!

LanaDP86

I don't know what I was expecting but it does smell exactly like some of the reviews here.
I expected something more vanilla, earthy and smooth, however, this is a bit more loud than I expected.
At first whiff: Baby powder - not iris type of powder vibe but actual powder, Spicy - Cinnamon isn't in the notes but I get that spicy tingle in my nose perhaps from the mint, Cherry - which I actually do not find a pleasant note in any perfume so I'm perplexed why I thought I would love this, Then there is something somewhere in the middle of the sour tart cherry, light talc and spice is a comforting, smooth, familiar and warm touch. Maybe it's the tonka/vanilla/milk.
I do like it more after it chills tf out. The chocolate, caramel and praline smooth out the spicy a bit.
Doesn't smell cheap, quite the opposite actually. Not my signature, glad I didn't blind buy but may put on every once in a blue moon for something different.

aanulka

I got a sample of this fragrance before committing to a full buy, and boy am I glad. On me, this unfortunately smells strongly of baby powder, with hint of cherry and leather/wood. Oddly dusty. Not enjoyable at all and very different from what I was expecting. Would not recommend as a blind buy.

Dior Feve Delicieuse EDP opens with a strong projection of sweet, lactonic, gourmand, and fruity notes. The opening is delicious, refined, bold, inviting, and delightful. The milk, praline, caramel, cacao, sour cherry, and vanilla are the opening most noticeable notes. The chocolate, milk, praline, caramel, and vanilla mix their notes into a lactonic, dessert-like, and delectable accord, intense and delicious. The sour cherry is also noticeable, a candy-sweet, tart, syrupy, with an almond touch fruit. As the fragrance commences to dry down, the tonka bean develops a sweet, spicy, caramel, and nutty accord closely follow by the ambery and the sweet resinous touch of the benzoin and, the creamy milky, and warm touch of the sandalwood. The leather is the projecting accord, a mild inoffensive leathery touch in the background. The jasmine, freesia, and lavender are support notes, a faint touch in towards the back of the fragrance. The fragrance is relatively linear, the bergamot is a faint touch during the opening, regardless, all featured notes come up as soon as the fragrance is applied and continue into the dry down which occurs very quickly. Once Dior Feve Delicieuse EDP has reached its full dry down, it can be summarized as a strong projection, fantastic, sweet, vanilla, cacao, caramel, praline, cherry, milk, and resinous fragrance with leathery, and faint floral accords. The fragrance feels ambery, appetizing, bold, casual, comforting, creamy, delectable, delicious, dense, dry, elegant, energizing, exotic, expensive, fruity, gourmand, high-quality, inviting, slightly leathery, long-lasting, milky, modern, natural, nicely-blended, nutty, resinous, rare, rich, romantic, seductive, special, sweet, syrupy, unique, unisex, warm, and very pleasant.

Oana Emilia

I must say this perfume is a total disappointment for me. After years and years of using other Dior scents, I was expecting for this so called prive collection to be the best, reason why I really wanted to buy and try one of these. I need to start with the longevivity... oh, god, this is the weakest perfume I ever tried from Dior. After 3 hours I can barely smell it on my skin.
Also, I don't really smell the top notes at all. Only a bit of cherry and then tonka and vanilla with a small hint of cedar. As others said, this is not gourmand at all. It dries out into a very powdery scent. For me is 3/10.

hottspice

This was a blind buy and I do not regret this. I was expecting a 'masterpiece' but I would not call it that, It is a very lovely fragrance however. It smells exactly like pears baby lotion :)

christinky

This reminds me of the bottom of my mother's "pocketbook" from the early 1970s, but in the best way possible. This is a total comfort scent to me. It reminds me of the comfort and mystery of the pocketbook, where from the depths would ocassionally emerge a cherry lifesaver candy or aged mint and a tissue, just when absolutely needed. The cherry and mint of the candies, the powderyness of a Guerlain face powder and an waxy-scented lipstick in a metal tube, as well as some of the dust of an aging packet of tissues all being cradled in the depths of the high quality and somehwat aged soft leather of the pocketbook, bring back comforting feelings of when mother had it all under control and knew exactly how we should behave. Mother carried only the best leather bags, and the leather is very high quality here, so it smells like the softest leather ever. The cherry is strong on me at first, but eventually blends well with the powderiness that eventually settles in. This is one of the most memory-evoking fragrances I have ever smelled. I'm thinking of many Sundays, mother dressed in her finest with lipstick on and face powdered, carrying her leather bag and gloves, but I'm falling asleep in the old Gothic-style church with my head eventually settling next to the handbag, nodding off while watching dust particles sparkle in the streams of light through the arched stained glass windows, hearing the faint crinkling from the woman in the pew behind opening a mint...

Nraveles

While this is a very very good scent, I’m quite hesitant to call this gourmand to me personally.
Yes it sweet, yes it’s rich, yes it’s dense, and yes it has gourmand notes.....but smelling it doesn’t really make me feel like I wanna eat it or make me feel like it’s food or make it feels super sweet.

It’s more just like a really nice powdery sweet scent.

Schnupperl

Also a wonderful tonka bean scent. The tonka bean is refined with vanilla, cacao, praline, caramel and a touch of cherry. This fragrance is a gourmand bomb with a fantastic shelf life and a great sillage.

Ralphangel

I am not sure what some of these reviewers are smelling, but this is an absolute gem! If you are a gourmand lover of perfumes as I am, then this is heaven in a bottle! The fragrance starts out with a warm, spicy, lactonic, amber, cherry, and vanilla notes. Then comes this amazing mouth watering dry down of the most luscious gourmand notes of cacao, caramel, Tonka bean, praline and nutty accord that anyone can imagine. Yes, it's powdery, soft, spicy, and absolutely delicious as the name implies. The projection is above average as is the sillage and longevity. This is luxurious, classy, and it smells expensive! A beautiful evening and date scent, and can be worn year around, but a standout in colder months of the year.

My 3 P's
- Price 7/10
- Projection 8/10
- Performance 8/10

Lubna.Alam

I was really looking forward to trying this but boy was it a let down, it smells like baby wipes and that’s as accurate I can be. I didn’t enjoy the opening or the base notes and unfortunately smelt like baby wipes all day. It’s not worth it at all.

epettitt

Literally talcum powder. One note: baby doll.

ingridmadz

Hi! If any one has pre-formulated (2014-2016) bottle of this Feve Delicieuse for sale, please let me know! I would love to buy it from you. Thanks!

Victor Lahovary

A warm spicy blend, in which I might be tempted to distinguish cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla and even a note of dark (and perhaps bitter) cherry. Sweet and powdery, but not exceedingly so. Androgynous, yes, but perhaps tilting more towards the feminine side. Summing up, I would say it's a good way to spend a solitary evening by the fireplace, sipping from a cup of hot chocolate and dreaming of Christmas...

MarySor

Man, this is what I love about perfumes. The notes are those but each one of us lives a personal and unique experience! To me, this is such a comforting scent and I do not agree that it's an attention seeker nor it is a standout perfume. On me it grows like a skin scent and it's very warm. Like literally the sillage smells like a sweet, cinnamon-y heat. I get a sour vanilla on the drydown with a hint of powder that somehow manages to give it a cleanliness which is hard to find in gourmands. Don't overspray, this juice is potent!

golden.signorina

It's so complicated scent..
I don't like the opening it's more masculine but I enjoy the heart it's more better and more delicious to me,the dry down is too Powdery which I don't prefer.
I am really hesitate whether totally like it or not..

Swedelish

I like tonka and I like Dior, but I do not like this fragrance, especially on a woman. Personally it smells like a late 20's man with an above average sense of style who likes to go out for drinks and flirt with women (or men). Obviously he likes sweet fragrances because he wears Feve Delecieuse. My problem with it is that there are so many distinct accords happening at the same time, all at such intensity, and it smells as though the wearer is trying very hard to be noticed. It's powdery, sweet, balsamic, woody, spicy, fruity, leather, floral, everything but the kitchen sink, and the sum of its parts are greater than the whole. It is an absolute bomb, a beast, a room filler, so you are committed once you go in with it.

I'm not the demographic for this fragrance. Maybe my husband has a friend I can pass my decant on to.

mnegrona

I was very excited to try this perfume, because I love tonka bean notes. I am very disappointed. At first the powdery notes hit me hard. I am not fan of that. Five minutes later the scent recedes to let the cherry stand out. One hour later it disappeared on me. Sadly, no tonka on my skin.
I would rename this Cerise Poudre.

SmellingEurope

I'm getting a mixture of praline, cacao and some medicinal spa-scent, which is a bit weird. And I think it suits mature women.

Rozalina

This is an interesting discovery from Dior.

My first thought:
Bougie cocoa-flavored play doh.

After a few minutes I get mint, tonka, and cherry.

This isn't a powdery play doh in the vein of Dior's Hypnotic Poison EDT, but a spicy, minty play doh. Gourmand but refreshing.

The dry down reminds me of "Chocolovers" by Aquolina even though there is no orange note here. Isn't it funny how you can remember a fragrance you haven't smelled since 12+ years ago?

I could almost see myself rocking this despite the fact that I tend to wear girly cake bombs, but I hate leather in perfume. I would definitely love to smell this on a man, though. It's sexy but cozy.

Bonnie00

Strong, sweet, and powdery. It's an attention-getter, but not my personal favorite...definitely for cooler weather. I think it'd asphyxiate anybody near you on a hot, humid summer day. Overall, 6/10..

HEATHEN PERFUMES

Feve Delicieuse by Dior has a very strong, even sharp, avid start. The leading note of the composition is tonka bean. It is known to connoisseurs of perfume for its sweet, almond-like aroma.

The almond tones of tonka are enriched here with heaps of dry cocoa with a clear boost of something floral and dusty.

Then this cocoa tempest quiets down and reveals a flickering, potent tonka bean. In the great sea of this ingredient there are other notes sunken: tobacco and cinnamon. Cocoa takes on a more chocolate form while caramel starts shimmering somewhere and vanilla takes the scene. From now on, smooth vanilla penetrates every single note of the blend.

Raquel.Saints

I blind bought this and because of the notes and reviews I thought I would like it. I didn't at all. I thought maybe I was going crazy so I gave it another chance. I tried both on my skin and on fabric. I didnt like neither. It smells like play doh . I am suprised this isn't mentioned because it smells exactly like play doh. I am just grateful I got the smallest bottle available. I really thought I got a fake for a second but I got directly from dior.

KyrrahThom

I got a sample of this from Ebay and initially I was so hopeful as it has that sexy dior golden smell but then suddenly, to my horror and revulsion.... play dough. The smell of play dough makes me feel sick and even when I see play dough now unopened I feel sick.
Gutted!!! It could have been so good. It could have been love.

NoelleLovesScents

My hopes were high-high in the sky with this fragrance, I couldn't wait to get a decant of this and when I did... disappointment. The opening is weird, but this I sorta knew already, so I waited for the good side of this to show up and waited and nothing good really came to my nose. This scent sounds good in theory but it's not so good in practice. I thought it will be gourmand and delicious, hence the name, but it seems harsh and weird. Performance wise this left my skin in maybe 4-5 hours.
In my opinion, not worth the hype, nor the price.

Deutsch100

Mine arrived from Dior, and I really like it. I think it might turn into a love. The initial spray and first few mins are so not my favourite. I cannot describe the opening, but it is strange, "off" and very chemical like.

Luckily, the not so great opening softens and the tonka, vanilla and soft woods come out. My skin is really picking up a sweet tobacco note and dry cherry too.

On my skin this is like a very posh combo of Versace The Dreamer, TF Tobacco Vanille and a soft boozy scotch note. Overall, I would say this is an excellent Blind Buy (so far) :)

Djedi

Warm and cozy but very sweet opening with minute traces of a slightly herbal lavender. It quickly goes to the heart and what I get is a nice mix of cherry, florals, and tonka bean. The mid is very cherry liqueur like, and I'm glad it's kept in check by the supporting notes. I can detect some white florals as well. The liqueur accord gives the whole composition a slightly boozy quality which does smell nice on the skin. I have to mention that the whole structure is obviously very gourmand in nature so for anyone who detests sweet/gourmand notes, this one is not for you. As time goes on, it gets a bit more powdery and then the vanillic aspect comes into play as well. It doesn't smell like straight up vanilla either, but Demachy has once again blended this very well which means it transitions smoohtly from top, heart, to base notes. The drydown is still powdery sweet with a nice lingering tonka/vanilla accord. I really enjoy sweet fragrances and this is as sweet as I'd get. Luckily the blend here is exquisite and dare I say fairly elegant.

Performance is great, will last for quite some time with decent projection. More of a cold weather scent but could work in spring or cold summer nights as well. Suitable for casual, romantic settings, or office wear if you watch your application. Unisex, leaning slightly feminine, but a man who appreciates gourmand scents should pull this off without issue.

8/10

KayleeAp

Wow, this one is lovely. I was a little shocked at the smell of the initial opening because it didn't smell gourmand - I was wondering what the heck people were talking about. It shortly dries down though to powder, tonka, with a little bit of vanilla which is gorgeous. Definitely unisex. Quite soft, no big projection here. Very comfortaing. If I didn't know any better I would have guessed this was a Guerlain fragrance, as the tonka reminds me of Mon Guerlain and there is some leathery vanilla that reminds me of Shalimar. I am happy that I tried this.

Dipietro

I am a Guy when I wear this women follow me around supermarkets really obviously. Having said that the only time I wear this is when I go to the Supermarket.

petsnakereggie

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Look no further. This is it, all that ever was, all that will be. Alpha, Omega, all that.

Don't question. Just get it. No, don't. I want to be the only person wearing this.

It's everything.

Warm, cosy, soft, hard, feminine, masculine, edible, drinkable, huggable, wrestleable, sweet, savoury, just-been-pregged girl falling asleep in boyfriend's jumper. The kind of boyfriend whose armpits you want to sniff all night; when he smiles you change your underwear.

kati77

Cocoa, vanilla, tonka and caramel.... what i was thinking? I can't stand overly sweet perfumes.
This one is well made, yes it is not just another scent, but for me it is so sweet and strong longevity i will not wear it. Had a decant of it, so will swap.
I recommend to try first.

MissyJ

Really wanted to love this. It’s not bad in anyway just not as decadent or warm as I expected. It really has a strong baby powder smell. If they got rid of that, it would be amazing.

jrotz2325

Now this is a very beautiful scent! Just received a decant of this - I get a really sweet caramely tonka and I smell the chocolate as well in this. I'm unfortunately wearing this in summer right now as I'm trying this - I would definitely save this for the fall/winter. But yeah, definitely beautiful!

minizelda

Blind buy!!!!

It's very comforting and warm, the tonka is amazing and very well rounded with the other ingredients. I definitely smell vanilla, soft woods and cinnamon all surrounding the tonka. It is a skin scent, doesn't create a big cloud around you. Unisex and beautiful.

Dove01

So I blind bought.....again! This time it was a hit! Oh dear Lord above - this unisex fragrance is gourmand HEAVEN! A briefly harsh opening of almonds warms down quickly to a magnificent blend of Tonka (oh so soft),Vanilla, Caramel and Coconut maybe? But the Tonka is so beautiful. This smells expensive and is divine. If you love gourmand scents then trust me on this one. The bottle is beautiful too. I understand the Christmas vibe that some people get from this - there is some cinnamon or clove in there too. I guess this scent would really come into its own during Autumn and Winter, but I love it so much I will wear it all year round. Now that we are in quarantine I have been expanding my burgeoning perfume wardrobe. It helps me to escape from these four walls into lands unknown and affords me a little bit of luxury every day. Keep safe everyone. Smell you on the other side! :)

elizurofsinai

Early on in my fragrance journey, I tried this, and loved it. Couldn’t find a fault in it.
Now that my tastes are a bit more refined, I have tried it again, and determined that it is much too powdery for me. I am surprised by the accords listed here.. it is not very sweet in my opinion. much more powdery than sweet.

Then again! I’m just now realizing that I tried this when the weather was cooler.. Maybe I’ll set this aside until fall.
I am always so surprised by how the weather affects how you perceive scents

forêt

I just tried this briefly because it is so hyped. I don’t love it that much! It’s sweet without any edge or nuances. Actually I was shocked by Hypnotic Poison too- just root beer and playdough. Anyway I will update as I sample it more. ATM I much prefer my beloved Myrrh and Tonka.
Update: It is confirmed. This one I do not need in my collection, yay. Because it is expensive. And yesterday I just sprang for one of the last EDP bottles of Roja Enigma, which was an instant obsession for me. Eff the “pour homme” on the bottle- c’est pour femme! Pour moi!

Rosemary14

All I can say is thank goodness I sampled this before buying it. This is so not me. Where to begin? This is a powder bomb and supposedly it has a lot of gourmand notes. I can definitely get the cocoa powder. It smells like it’s made out of it in fact. The other note that is quite strong in this is the leather. This isn’t a smooth fragrance it has a rough texture of powder. I don’t get any caramel or cherry. I do get vanilla and a LOT of wood. The leather and woody notes make this somewhat masculine and earthy. I was expecting a very smooth gourmand and this is more of a cocoa powder bomb with leather, wood and some vanilla and like an earthy smell. Yes! The cut hay! It sort of has a hay texture. Different but not my jam.

pacorbett

I was so excited to try Feve. It's so hyped up I was originally going to buy it blindly, but wisely I picked up a decant... Thank god I did.

This fragrance for me was very underwhelming. It just feels 'unfinished' to me. It kept me wanting more. I kept thinking, is that it? All I heard was how this fragrance was Beast mode. NOT!!! Well at least for me it wasn't. I like to smell my fragrances, and I don't want to constantly sniff my clothes or wrists to find it.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice sent. I like it very much, the I love the sweet tonka bean comfort of the fragrance... and it has this powdery cotton candy like texture to it; but for the price, I have other gourmand like scents that perform much better than this one for fraction of the cost.

I'm still on the fence with this one. I do want to buy a bottle but I know myself and will have buyers remorse later... I will finish using my decant, hopefully it will grow on me and maybe I'll change my mind but for now it's just not working for me.

EDIT 3/23/20... This scent is growing on me. Starting to really love it. It's a creeper. Didn't love it out the gate, but becoming more addicted to it the more I use it. Still not the best longevity for me but I do get 4-6 hours out of it, so not too bad. Still don't know about it being beast mode, but it's FB worthy for me now... especially with the rumors of it being discontinued.

Kots_Tanya

Looking at the notes and I just don’t understand what is going wrong here, seams like everything I would absolutely love but it’s not working with me, I tried multiple times and nope. Still no love here or honestly even like.

peaceview1

My impression:
The opening is sweet and powdery with a cosmetic bag vibe. I get rich dark vanilla and Iris
The middle dry-down remains the same but more fluffy and all together softer, with a hint of play-doh, and cherries
The final stage of the wear has minimal change from the middle stage a little softer, but the projection is solid.

nicolasnmc

Recently I ordered decants of three popular fragrances from the Dior Prive line. (Ambre Nuit, Bois d’argent, and this) This is the winner for me which is saying a lot because I love all three. This mainly smells like cocoa powder and cocoa butter as well as tonka beans. However there’s lots of little nuances I pick up on like the caramel and benzoin throughout the life of this fragrance. If you’re a fan of Noir de Noir I think you’ll love this too. They’re very different scents, however, I think they appeal to similar tastes. Both powdery and sweet. This is the happy go lucky cousin to that fragrance. Just a cool, confident and super warm and charming person whereas noir de noir is dark and mysterious. I adore this fragrance and will have to pick it up for next Autumn. The performance is also really good on this and it lasts me a good 6 hours of solid projection before becoming a skin scent.

Introduction by François Demachy: This perfume is delectably tempting and sweet, yet never cloying. I chose exotic Tonka Bean for its slightly bitter roundness. This is a mouth-watering treat that nevertheless retains some mystery." Fève Délicieuse is one of those fragrances that impel any perfume enthusiast to expand their possessions just by feeling shame or offense to the perfumistic gods for not having in the closet such a perfect work, so pleasant, so round, so full of harmonized elements to please. Fève Délicieuse is something like, for a man, a full and milky female breast: something absolutely irresistible and that you want to try all the time. When spraying, wait 10 minutes for the perfume to settle (until then there is a crazy disharmony), and feel the delicious dry down where everything is submitted to the cocoa king: a cocoa as it appears in the image of notes-grid: pure, powdery, aided by a cloud of delicious things - caramel, sweets, bitter cherry - the third layer at the bottom of the gourmand is the dusty woody floral with makeup aspect, but under control and of high quality. The WOW factor here is the harmony of so many layers: usually perfumes like this - high quality - cause a storm and impel the aroma in several directions at the same time - but here everything goes majestically in unison. I can't think of a perfume MORE unisex and undefined in gender than this one - perfect for men and women to appreciate themselves and their acquaintances. A work of art that requires being in the closet of any connoisseur of delicious smells.

Its a gourmand that smells classy and upscale.

Very well blended and unique.

lOVE IT.

gustavofontanella

this is a delicious gourmand fragrance. Very sophisticated imho.

I'm a man, I liked it but... it's not for everyone. Can be too feminine for some guys. Only the bold guys will be able to pull this off...

8/10 for the scent

EauDeBaldy

Wore this for the past week ( while being sick so I tried my best to get myself into this one, being my first time with it )

When I smelled it initially, I honestly thought I’d hate it.

It’s, to me, a baby powder type of bomb initially.
While it calms down, it’s still prevalent. People say from the Tonka bean ( has a vanilla powder smell to it ) I don’t know what a Tonka Bean smells like, but if this is it, then there you go.

Overall, I enjoyed it, Is it something to run out for? You seriously need to try and test it for yourself.

While to me, this is a beautiful, powdery fragrance, this is not going to be for everyone and it would be wise to try and sample it before running out for it. It is not a cheap one.

I will personally have this in my arsenal, I do enjoy its composition overall.

Because of it’s powdery nature, it best fits in the cold weather for sure.

I was in Dior yesterday 04.12.19 (Cape Town, South Africa) and when I asked why this wasn't in their display on perfumes, I was told it was being reformulated and they only had one bottle left. So if this version is your holy grail - snap them up before it gets re-jigged.

The Tonka bean here is very well rounded with cherries, vanilla, praline, caramel, lavender, benzoin and all of these notes that tries to compliment each other that's why it's giving off a ethereal powdery vibe. It smells like when my mom asks me to get something inside her bag full of makeup, money, and perfumes, lipstick, this is what I smell. The cacao here is not chocolate milk, cacao bean, or dark choco, it's cacao powder. But it's good it's unique, I could drink the bottle and die from it. Not the best gourmand but the most unique. It also smells really high class, elegant and high quality. This is exactly the scent of what I imagined inside a dior beautiful boutique smelling test strips. Really Unisex, my mom says it's really masculine but for me it's really feminine. It is really in that level of genderlessness.

This is better than tonka imperiale imho. I think guerlain was not informed that tonka gets really sour on skin it smells like dried saliva on 4 hour mark, so i think dior added cherries, and their powdery signature to prevent the tonka getting sour on skin.

This instantly reminds me of pdm Oajan only a lot weaker in every way , very disappointed.

This is my winter comfort blanket, the tonka is so, so good.
I adore this one, it is a shock if you are not into gourmand or unisex. This is an acquired taste and not for a newbie frag lover.
But once you fall in love with this you will be in it forever!!!
I will always own a bottle.

Smells like a baby powder coated maraschino cherry. I cannot.

I HATED the opening when I first sprayed this and couldn't understand why it was so much money. Then the dry down happened and I loved it. Just when you think it's gone the beautiful vanilla smell taps you on the shoulder to say hey i'm still here.

I'm a sweet perfume lover and this is like the rich cool aunt of my sweet perfumes.
Sadly I'm not rich so I just buy the samples of EBAY when I want more of this.
I would wear this for a posh event

aalthuraya

indeed # 1 without comparison .

I owned a bottle of this and sold it to someone who loved it in order to make room in my collection. I love this fragrance, though. I just didn't wear it but somewhat regret the sale.

The scent itself is very bitter in the beginning, that is until it dries down to a warm and creamy vanilla / tonka combo with a bit of cherry in there. I purchased this thinking it'd have something in common with L'Homme Ideal EDP (which I love) but I was incredibly wrong. This is a totally different beast. It's effortlessly sensual and elegant. Good for dates and neck nuzzly goodness. Easy to overapply but also pretty sexy when overapplied.

I have no idea how this compares to the 2018 version. Hopefully it's just as good.

Le Chypriote

First you get bright tonka bean and vanilla, then sweet tonka bean, then powdery tonka bean, and finally buttery tonka bean.

A sensual and delicious gourmand of the highest quality - one of the best!

I misunderstood this fragrance because I listened to all the reviews that told me it was a winter scent. I tried it in the winter and the aromatic quality on my skin gave me a minty, cool vibe that made me think it was a ghost with no soul. I was told it would be too cloying in the summer. From this point on, I am going to try ALL my “winter” scents that didn’t work for me THIS AUGUST. Due to the airy nature of this perfume, it totally works for me in the summer, and now I feel bad about bashing this one. It is the best tonka bean ever and is a fantastic substitute for those tiresome “citric summer scents” that I have been wearing all summer, while thinking in my head “Well, I am supposed to be wearing these fresh citruses”. Wrong. Sometimes, those fresh citruses turn sweaty in the dry-down in the summer, while sweet scents don't. Not all skin chemistry is the same, and nor is the climate of where you live, so a winter scent JUST MIGHT only work in the summer, as does this one on me (and today is hot). It is not overbearing at all, and all the negative facets of this perfume that I smelled in the winter are not apparent in August. I spray far away from my arm, just one spray, and it turns into a freshie this summer.

I get a strong vibe of baby powder from this - could be the vanillic notes combined with the powdery cocoa. The slight bitterness of the caramel makes sure the fragrance doesn't get too cloying, and overall this isn't a syrupy, sticky scent; instead, it's a fluffy powdery one.

Around an hour or two later, the tonka bean becomes more prominent, giving it a bit of hay-like nuances. However, when blended with the baby powder notes from the opening, it somehow becomes violet-like, which I'm not a fan of.

This is undoubtedly a well-blended fragrance, but it's a pass for me. Maybe it's my skin chemistry.

GoldIris

Kinda disappointed, wore it several times and used 3 of those little 7,5 ml bottles, but this fragrance is nothing special and far from the best gourmands. This smells like a fragrance that hasn't been finished yet, like there are some notes missing. This is definitely not a blindbuy worthy fragrance.

yunaluna

this toes the lines between gourmand, resin, aromatic -- and toes them elegantly. yes there's the sweet undertone that grows more prominent over time. but the soapy hints (lavender is especially clear on me) never go away completely. and the woods/resins hold their place too.

unisex, leaning feminine (in my opinion, as someone who prefers unisex scents that lean masculine). wonderful performance.

for the baddies out there, this is something a bit more subtle yet unique. and for the more conservative sprayers looking to branch out, here is a great start.

this will never be a revolutionary heavyweight champ of a scent, but it should not to be counted out.
