this was my
signature scent at 12. 💕

Ozonated/aquatic perfumes I noticed with great regret that there aren't many around, and it's a shame for those like me who love this olfactory family, if we compare for example amber or vanilla (which to be honest look very similar in the long run) I mean between them, why not make different ones in this typology too? However for me this perfume is the sovereign king of this category, fresh, transparent, sparkling, the cucumber that I love so much can be felt in a masterful way, then it fades thanks to the floral part which however always makes it crystalline, I know it is starting to be difficult find it and I wonder…. Why? As always the best ones disappear!

Magellan0101

It's a very light, fresh floral. A real departure from the perfumes I usually wear. I'm more of an Aromatics in Black or Halfeti Cedar type gal.
But there IS something very pretty and carefree about it. I think it's the combination of cucumber and hyacinth...Like a bright happy summer day. I will be saving it for the warmer months, and probably pair it with a cucumber scented lotion.
This is a great office scent. Intimate quickly on my skin. Longevity is pretty good though. Would be a great choice for a vacation scent ( it really smells like vacation to me) or a summer date cologne to drown yourself in..I tend to be heavy handed, and that's not a problem here.
I just can't help it. I like it a lot. It does smell like happy in a bottle. I'm shocked at myself, but I'm smiling whenever I smell it.😊

Mimachan

I miss this 2003 version. 😔

I'm a bit sad because I'm looking for a "carrot" perfume. Even though it has "carrot" as a note it is still mostly a citrus perfume. I cannot detect the carrot. It still has the original Happy Clinique DNA.

The first spray just smells like if you just cut a fresh juicy orange. Then comes the "aquatic" notes, probably the cucumber. In the end it morphs into some sort of orange juice smell that I'm not fond of. I just feel I smell like orange juice ... this is an exaggeration for sure. I has the same issue with the original Clinique Happy. Smells like orange juice.

Darling of Disquiet

The new version is absolutely nothing like the original formula. It has 3 notes. Sure they share a couple but they are only alike in the fact that they are Clinique freshies and both go by the same name. That is in my opinion where the similarities end. I'm so happy lol that I still have some of this left for this summer. My first got this I actually didn't like how much I could smell the carrot in it now years later I absolutely love it. Smelled a vegetable scent besides this one that I have ever even liked let alone loved. It'd be nice if they made this formula again just limited.

veda

I had it and bought it 3 times when it came out.
Wonderful fresh-rose perfume.
I swear I smelled rose in it.

I'm a Clinique girl. Love their skincare, and love their fragrances. While the original "Clinique Happy" is a great scent–I love its gin and tonic, citrusy and white floral freshness–it's the flanker "Happy Heart" that has my...well, heart. I love a good fresh fragrance, and "Happy Heart" has quickly become my signature fragrance. Like "Happy," it opens with a sparkly citrus scent, backed up by a base of gentle white wood. However, the heart notes are wear it shines.

"Happy Heart" is a wash of soft, melony sweetness and aquatic freshness. The combination of cucumber and water hyacinth is nothing short of soothing and magical. There's also a slight ozonic quality to the dry down, especially on my skin. I also detect a hint of swimming pool chlorine–I think that's the cucumber in the forefront. For those of us who grew up in the 90s and 00s, "Happy Heart" bears a slight resemblance to Bath & Body Works' iconic "Cucumber Melon" products, but with a slightly more mature, green, crisper and watery edge. It's super refreshing and even rather cooling to smell and wear.

I argue that it has slightly better longevity than the original "Happy," with a mild sillage. This is a really pleasant fragrance and I can't imagine it offending anybody. While it is a bit on the safe side, for me, this is like a nice glass of water with a twist of lemon and cucumber. It lifts my spirits and, yes, it does make my heart happy. I recommend this as a good, user-friendly freshie. Its relatively affordable price point doesn't hurt either.

clairescentience

Girly, young, and fresh! This might be too femme and a bit too young smelling for others, but you can't help but just feel so pretty and feminine wearing this! And it has this CLEANLINESS that the happy line has. It is sweet, but not sickly so. A perfume to wear when you want to tap into a carefree girl archetype.

Brittbritt

First thoughts: Very earthy fresh. Greens. More Soapy as it opens up. Stays very clean smelling throughout. Tried this a few days in a row and continued to enjoy. Almost reminds me of fresh laundry, which is unusual for me to like! I really like this one. It definitely surprised me!

ifffy

One of my favorite perfumes. This is so well done. Its like the softest blanket from the day's floral-infused laundry, it hugs you. And yet it also feels remarkably seductive and softly feminine, its not vulgar or loud. Its what I imagine the concept of intimacy would be like if it was effused into an atmosphere: the tension between two people in a private space , the smell of desire on the skin of a demure, beautiful woman in a blush pink silk nightgown, the scent of romantic desire that hints at culmination. and the moment is just perfect. When I wear it, it makes me feel pretty and innocent, even desiring (is this an aphrodisiac of sorts? lol) . The cucumber and citrus gives it a cleanness, while the carrot and hyacinth make it cozy, feminine and aquatic (but its not a cold scent). I imagine it to be the emanation of soft seductive energy that instantly makes a man want to love and care for her. its a bit strange, but there it is.

eileensheats

You know, I do agree that “aquatic” fragrances are unrefined, or whatever, but I WILL say that they are the only genre of fragrance that EVER makes me obsess over the middle notes

chakukan

In the 90's Clinique was def my signature scent, I loved the line and this one was such a favorite, went through a few bottle. Still own a sample when I feel nostalgia. #classic

Sappyastheygo

It’s smells like nothing & then sometimes like carrot water over lotion.

tinkerbell2614

I think the name of this perfume suits it perfectly. It makes my heart feel happy when I wear it. This it not a perfume I would wear for date night or to get noticed, but something I wear just for me and to uplift my senses. It’s so refreshing among all the recent sweet sugar bombs that became popular after this one. I definitely notice the water hyacinth, which is one of my favorite notes. They had hyacinth a lot in the early 2000’s, where oceanic perfumes were more popular. This is definitely safe for the office and I can’t see it offending anyone. It kind of reminds me of Philosophy scents like Amazing Grace. I much prefer this one to the original Happy.

prava.slava.mama

I love this one, though I have a very hard time describing it! It might be my inexperienced nose. But the perfume is unique and I distinctly remembered both the scent and name from one random tube of the hand cream some relative gave me as a high school sophomore 17ish years ago. This year I've been getting into perfumes and tracked down an inexpensive bottle, and it's just how I remember it.

I don't get "green" at all; to me it's sweet without being fruity or sugary, though I do get the mandarin; it doesn't smell like fruit candy or kid shampoo. It's also not exactly floral, but with a rapturous peony note shining through later in the day (I guess that's the water hyacinth?) And I certainly don't smell carrots, although there is a mysterious soft fresh scent that's hard to pin down, which blooms in the opening and lingers, coming back now and again like an echo or a wave. Maybe it's my chemistry but this one seems to work really well with body heat, becoming an enveloping but never cloying, fresh but never sharp scent. It's not soapy at all to me. I don't think there is anything in the world that smells quite like this, and it's quickly becoming one of my signature scents.

Snowflake8000

This is too soapy for me. Just ok. Tried a sample. Won’t buy a full bottle.

washudtoj

I've had an odd relationship with Clinique.

I tried Happy for men (more than a couple of times since I wanted to like it) and felt that it was ok, doable, pleasant enough, but synthetic.

Happy Heart for women is no different. At first I get a pleasant splash of cucumber, but then it soon turns a bit sour and chemical on my skin. I've never smelt water hyacinth before, but I guess this is Clinique's attempt to imitate its scent.

So I neither like it nor dislike it. On me, it doesn't project much, nor is it strong. It's more skin scent than I expected given how other reviewers opined about it. It smells cosmetic, as well, like you have just put on some body lotion or sunscreen on you or something.

Good for summer. Leans more feminine but I think men can use it too if they want.

Edit: I think the dry down smells close to Shiseido's sun screen lotion. However, on my shirt, it smells like CK One.

s2jkbrad

Interesting, I don’t have another one like this but probably not for me. Not a scrubber but I don’t care for the aquatic cucumber note. The juice doesn’t match the bottle for me. Not much in the realm of florals, just a high pitched, not quite screeching and not quite what I’d consider a green note either — this is a linear. watery, but not marine scent. Silage and staying power seems decent

cats_eye

To me this is very fresh, crisp and aquatic . First off I smell citrus and citrus rinds. This never fully goes away. It's always in the background. This gives Happy Heart an invigorating, uplifting feel. I also get a strong note of clover or grass with a breeze of fresh air. I don't smell flowers really except for maybe some green ones (hyacinth) or peony. I smell something like pine in the background. The citrusy and watery, aquatic grassy notes are the most prominent. The dry down is musky woods. This isn't a sweet scent. It's more crisp. Happy Heart is a potent scent like the other Clinique fragrances. You can see the oils when you spray it on. If you don't smell it after a while your nose may have gotten used to it. It's stronger than you think.

ilikesmells

This is my favorite scent from their "happy" line. It is very fresh and expensive smelling with a hint of floral. I like it much better than the original "happy" scent.

nickinicole

A very clean fragrance like you used a cucumber scented soap or body wash. It's easy to wear. I prefer citrusy florals like the OG, Happy, but I can imagine myself wearing this on a really casual day in summer.

chezzig01

I Bought it on sale and wear the OG happy from time to time too. This is such an easy Fragrance for me to wear in Summer. Not too floral , its fresh, aquatic with just the right amount of sweetness. Funnily enough...My most complimented fragrance of all time!! The first week I wore it I got at least 6 compliments on the way I smell. Couldnt be happier as its relatively inexpensive, where Im from , to replace a bottle when it runs out .

perfumelovere

Gorgeous scent from my twenties. I had to have it after smelling it on a friend. Might be a bit too synthetic for my taste now due to lots of perfumes getting reformulated and my personal tastes changing. If you want something that'll make you feel clean, pretty and feminine this is it. During the earlier days this would project and last but can't speak to it today.

thestranger

I sprayed this on paper and for hours my reaction was: What is there not to love about this scent? It makes me feel like a 16 year old girl who is about to go on a first date with a boy she’s crushed on for a year. Like I just scrubbed every inch of my body and my hair is radiating that Herbal Essences clean that boys liked so much when I was younger. It makes my heart happy :)

For some reason, it wasn't the same when I sprayed it on my skin. It got sweeter and the florals got more synthetic. I'll try it again soon.

kliptra.munch

If you don't like the kind of a harsh powdery smell, then this one for you. It's fresh yet still warm. It's a sweet coyly smell, not obnoxious or sexy. I like to wear this at night or when it's cloudy/raining.

valevaleria

Soapy, floral, beautiful. After my second bottle y gave it a rest so I would not get bored of it, after some months, I got back to it. It might not be the favourite fragrance of my collection, but it works very well in any scenario. I get many compliments when I wear it, even hours after I spray it. The first time I tried it I was expecting something more like Happy and I though it was too sweet and not fot me. After a while, I felt it on a coworker and I had to get one for myself. It was just perfect. I guess that people arround me get the same effect I had with my coworker because all the time I am being asked Wich perfume I have.

knics33

I have recently moved this to the top of my “up next to buy/repurchase” category. I wore this in high school (graduated in 2006, and am currently 33, married and have a 12 year old stepdaughter, as well as an 8 month old little girl... my, how times have changed!). About a month after I delivered, I received the terrible news that my high school sweetheart (who I was still friends with and respected very much) passed tragically in a weather accident. He was a well respected local firefighter and we dated from the time I was 15-20 years old. This fragrance, while certainly no fragrance masterpiece, brings me back to being a fun-loving 17 year old with not a care in the world. When I smell my sample, I am literally transported to bond fires, rides out in the country and the awesomeness that was the mid 2000’s. It was a pretty damn cool time, if you ask me. There are fragrances that transport you to a time, a memory...where it’s impossible to be objective in analyzing/judging a fragrance. This, along with a few others (including the original Ralph by Ralph Lauren) do that for me. A+ in my book!

GinCatsBooks

It smells just like the Main Accords tab would have you think; cool, cirsp, fresh, ozonic and aquatic.
I love the OG Happy (despite its weak longevity) and didnt think it could get much better until I decided to blindly buy this based off the notes list. OH MY GOD this is the stuff summer dreams are made of!

Since this is a flanker of Happy, it does have some similar DNA, but this isn't about the bright, zingy citrus notes, this one is all about the aqueous, crisp freshness of cucumber, I'm sure someone when I was growing up used to wear this because there is something so familiar and nostalgic about it, it creates mental images of early morning drives to the beach and being sat in the park with friends on a warm, breezy day, its an easy to wear casual scent.

Notes wise I get the cucumber, some slight citrussy notes from the mandarin and some very feint floral notes from the water hyacinth, its a semi linear scent on me with it only changing mildly towards the end of its 7hrs of longevity on my skin, where some slight woody nuances come out, but for the most it stays very fresh, cool and airy on me.
Its a perfect daily scent for work, casual wear even the gym and I also have to say, its a really hard scent to dislike IMO especially if you like shower fresh, aquatic fragrances.

Longevity is 7hrs on me with 4 sprays, silage is soft bordering on moderate; enough to get compliments but not enough to offend or irritate. Future repurchase? yes, 100%!

i will forever treasure this perfume.
this reminds me of may firsts.
I was in middle school when my brother started raving about clinique happy and how good it smelled. i was curious so went through my moms collection of gifted fragrances (she never uses them) and found a 50ml and 30 ml of this.
Destiny!

I wore this sparingly til my first few years for uni.
Met my first love, wore this whenever I was with him. my parents tried to keep us apart so i gave him my smaller bottle just to sniff and remember me by.
We eventually were allowed to be together, broke up, grew apart.
But this will always remind me of the best of those times.
Truly a “happy heart” scent.
I know this is labeled as a typical floral but theres a fresh note I cant quite place and cant find in other perfumes.
I guess its time for a repurchase!

PeonySugar

Have you ever experienced OCD in perfume shops when you pass the counter and can't hold your hands off? I have an issue each time passing Clinique counter. If there's lady inhaling Happy Heart, it's me. I feel it very aromatherapic, relaxing, energetic but sophisticated. I don't know if clean and sporty perfume can be elegance and refinement, but this one somehow manages to deliver it.

Frogopolis

The original Clinique Happy is way too sharp and soapy for me to enjoy— like having a citrus-scented toilet bowl cleaner shot straight into my sinuses. But I LOVE Happy Heart, and I have no clue why the original Happy outsells the Heart version.

Happy Heart is joyfully, delicately clean and fresh. Like a really great soap or shampoo. Wonderful to apply after a shower, wrapped in a cotton robe, sipping hot coffee and enjoying the start of a new day. The cucumber note is really nice and adds an aquatic feel. I don’t smell much citrus at all. This has a flowery feel, but a thoroughly modern flower bouquet scrubbed of any heaviness or fecundity. (It’s kind of like Marc Jacobs Daisy in that regard).

I absolutely love this stuff and you only need 4-5 sprays to go a full 12 hours. I can smell it on myself even after a full night’s sleep!

nurkhairn

My signature scent for many years. It is long lasting, beautiful and youthful at the same time.

novarenata

This is the signature scent of my final year in college! I love that it is lasting, sweet and citrusy. A great sports fragrance too. Always drawing in the compliments as well, no matter how many times I wear it around the same people. Such a clean, happiness-evoking scent!

rumari47

This has been a recent fave! I’ve had it for many years but just recently rediscovered it. It’s a beautiful “watery” fresh floral. I’ve been obsessed with this lately. Based on the notes, I wouldn’t have thought I’d like it. Lasting power is pretty descent. I get about 8 hours. Lately I’ve been using this as my work perfume because it’s nice and I believe inoffensive. I feel so feminine and fresh when I wear this perfume. It’s very casual. Definitely repurchase worthy!

JenJones28

One of my favorite notes is carrot. I’m always looking to try frags that have carrot. So, I was interested in this. One thing I will say is that it smells much better on my skin than on paper. When I smelled it on paper I didn’t care for it. On my skin it’s lovely. Sweet and slightly green at the same time. So my best advice is just to try this on your skin, don’t bother with paper.

Lucid Dreamer

My wedding fragrance. A warm floral that surrounds me in a cloud of pink petals and sweetness. As magical as a unicorn. As delicate as a dream. Every time I wear it, I fall in love all over again.

LimbicSystem

Ah, you never forget your first -- Clinique Happy Heart was my first perfume after graduating from middle school and fruity body mists. "Popular" guys and girls in high school who'd never turn twice to look at me would nonetheless comment that I smelled good.

It's a great entry-level perfume for younger girls, and delightful for everyone else. A tad sweet but more overpowering fresh; lovely and youthful but strong. Definitely the citrus is there, and I could even say I smell roses -- but it could be a placebo effect. Wearing this really does give me a happy heart, and rose-colored-glasses (...or rose-filtered nose). I'd call it the preppier, bubblier, sweeter, more feminine sister to Clinique Happy. Heart broke by the reformulation.

cat370

Happy Heart was my signature sent for at least 10 years. I wore it everyday, any season, any occasion. I just repurchased it and I'm wondering why I stopped using such a lovely scent. I love fresh/clean scents and this perfume nails it! I smell fresh, citrusy and floral, no carrots or cucumber notes on me..

dolligrl2000

My friend wore this last night and I fell completely in love with this fragrance...to the extent that I ordered a bottle this morning. It is so fresh and so pretty...just pretty...that I feel it is a standout. My friend, who is lovely on her own, became utterly irresistable. I was smelling her like a lunatic all night, and then begged her to buy her bottle off her then and there. lol. She did not comply.

G. Eriksen

I love it ❤️ Women ask me which perfume I’m wearing..super long lasting smell ❤️

Agnesca

This is a fragrance I never thought I would like but 10 years ago I came across with it as a gift and for my great surprise I enjoyed it quite a lot. Something more interesting than that my husband complimented this perfume as very atractive and pretty and he hardly even smells anything on me or most of my perfumes make him say: khm. yes. strong.
But he really loved Happy Heart.
Now, 10 years later I decided to repurchased it 'blind', since I couldn't really remember the scent itself, just the fresh, joyful, pretty and soft character of it and was sooooo keen for something like that. I've got my bottle today and I'm absolutely in love with it much more than last time. And my husband still loves the scent altough he doesn't remember that 10 years ago he complemented once on this one.
I agree that it's very linear, doesn't change after the first hour or so, also, it can be too much if applied with heavy hand. I've had 3 sprays at 2 pm and now, 10 hours and one shower later I still smell it.
It's a youthful scent that can be worn by young girls obviously but I don't find it 'girly' at all. Just something very beautiful, like the essence of being a beautiful, atractive woman.
One more comment on this: I can't help feeling that Mugler's Womanity 'should' smell more like this than the way it really smells. Although they are totally different in notes and in conception as well there is something in the opening of Womanity that is almost pretty and rather a similar way as HH. But Womanity is dirty for me and ruined with an ovewhelming aquatic note and loudness. I find a perfect balance and harmony in HH, though.

NDS79

Wore Happy Heart several years ago as a working girl in my 20’s; it was great for the office! Soapy notes throughout, didn’t ever think of it as smelling of carrots, but more flowery/soapy. Distinctly different from it’s sister Happy. Nice for an inoffensive and unique addition to any fragrance wardrobe. Made me feel peppy and energetic.

lovealwaysalisa

This is such a CLASSIC, along with the original. Happy Heart is fresh, citrusy, slightly aquatic, and floral. It screams spring and summer to me. However, I wear it any time of year. I don't smell the carrot note but I do get the cucumber, citrus, and florals. It's got GREAT longevity and projection. Well worth the money. I love it! Part of it's appeal to me is that this reminds me so much of a body spray I use to use back in the 90s that has long been discontinued. It was called Water Lilies by Calgon and had pink packaging. It's a memory trigger for me for that reason as well. Reminds me of my childhood.... CAREFREE and LIGHTHEARTED.

melittlemisssunshine

Light, fresh, happy, and clean. Bought it when i just started working cause it was not too expensive! Perfect as gift too :)

robym

Love Love Love!

sugar&spice

This beautiful, fresh fragrance has terrific sillage and great presence, without the need to be showy.  I had never had compliments from strangers before when wearing a perfume - but the day I tested this in-store, I had two.  It certainly stopped me in my tracks when I tried it - something so joyful and mesmerising about it, and distinctively unique.  I think I'm falling in love with Happy Heart: it could well be the scent that will keep me happy ever after!

cpharr13

Let me start by saying I love this perfume. I thought it smelled very unique, in a familiar way for a fresh aquatic perfume. So I got nosey and read the notes on here. Carrots and cucumber!?! That solved the mystery of the familiar uniqueness and I now every time I wear it I smell the carrots and cucumber... And it kinda ruined it for me. I'm sad.

empmac

My fiance says this smells like soy sauce. LOL! Nevertheless, it's my favourite scent and I'm on my third bottle! :)

dglightblue

I like this better than the original happy.

it has a soft freshness, with some kind of great skin or hair product smell.

very nice, couple hours longevity then it sits real close.

good, I don't think this is offensive in any way, you just kinda smell good

milk_in

Very soapy scent for me. Fresh and even a little bit cold. Waterhyacinth is definitely dominate note in this, I don't get much of other ingredients.
Nice fragrance if you want to feel yourself shower fresh and hyacinth is your cup of tea.

kbrown7070

This is perfect to welcome in spring and for hot, sticky summer days. I mostly get a fresh cucumber and hyacinth aquatic scent with citrus and carrot sweetenening it up just a bit. I layer it on top of Bath and Body Works Cucumber and Melon lotion. It's a clean, casual daytime fragrance but it does go on strong and last a long time, so go easy on the sprays.

foreversummer

This is one of the popular perfumes where I live but it's only recently that I joined the bandwagon. Dry summer season is fast approaching here in Manila and temperature is starting to become unbearable. I was looking for a new summer perfume that will work with the summer heat and decided to get Happy Heart. Unfortunately, I didn't like it at all. I was expecting a fresh, clean scent but to me it smelled harsh, screechy, straight up laundry detergent. Smells too sharp in this heat, IMHO.

meden

İlkbahar geldiğinde kullanmaya bayıldığım parfüm. Kokusu burnunuza geldikçe baharın tüm enerjisi kalbinize dolacak. Gerçekten happy heart! Kalıcılığı da çok yüksek

phunkyvida

I had this perfume back in 2004, I honestly loved it, unfortunately it just didn't work with my skin/chemistry.

It smells like one has bathed with the most luxurious soap and then laid down in a field of hyacinth, lilacs and lilies on a gorgeous summer day. Floral, powdery, clean, fresh no hints of dirt, wood or water whatsoever.

When I wore this I got a strange green carroty smell and then it would sour on my skin making my skin smell yoghurty/sour cream.

I desperately wanted this to work but, alas, it was not meant to be.

Mullingarynka

Fresh perfumes lovers will like it! If you like any green, grass frag this one is for you. Its vibrant smell, yes! It is happy and refreshing. To me the most dominant is cucumber and cassia. Lovely and long lasting.

melfugatt

I only saw one other review that noted this, but I get a very strong peppery smell almost right away. I bought this blind and was so excited, but I'm kind of put off by the pepper. I waited for about ab hour and it faded a bit, but I could still smell it. It was tolerable then, but who wants to wear something that's only tolerable and only after an hour? I have a large barely used bottle and a mini if anyone has something they'd like to swap. I've never swapped on here before, but I paid quite a bit for this and I just don't want to wear it.
Update. The perfume has been sold to someone who is happy with it. Yay!! Eby!! So glad I don't have to toss it out and someone can us it.

Blossom Dreams

I strongly advise that you give this fragrance more than one try. I tested it in the store when it was first released in 2003 and decided it smelled like hairspray. A few months later, I tried it again and fell in love with it, so much so that it ended up being my tropical island wedding fragrance two years later. There's just something about this fragrance. Whenever I wear it, even now, I can't stop sniffing my wrist. It's soft, sweet, powdery, and soapy. A warm, rich, distinct floral that has a comforting quality and fills the air with the promise of a happy future. It's like a bottle of magic ... wearing it makes me all happy and warm inside. It's nothing but goodness.

badgerbruno

This is a timeless soapy classic. Always feel fresh, clean, soapy and feminine when I wear this. It dries down to this soft powdery musk on me, like soap skin mixed with white musk.

Heaven.

Princesslaeti

My mum bought me this perfume recently, and I just love it. It smells amazing, I always get compliments from guys when I wear it. Someone told me yesterday that I smelled sexy. It is a really nice perfume, with a playful, sexy, fresh and unique smell.
Another good thing about it is that it lasts relatively long, and that it's sillage is soft but present.
I would totaly recommend it, it's an amazing perfume

(If anyone would like to try this, I'm happy to swap decants for my want list.)

This is one of my favorite fragrances EVER. I never liked Clinique Happy, but this one... oh dear Lord! To me this is happiness in a bottle. I don't get oranges, cucumber, or anything from the notes list, really. What I get is fruity (berries?), sweet, feminine and happy. Dont ever want to ran out of this! :-)

ginawadsworth

Although I have never smelt it, I feel this has been seriously misclassified. There is nothing in the notes listed to even come close to this being a chyphe floral. (No oakmoss, no pathchouli, no vertiver).

saintleegray

I have a weird relationship with this perfume. I think with the notes it could be excellent, and it seems SO close...but just so very slightly misses the mark that would make it wonderful. It has a light, sweet scent that isn't candy sweet and is definitely tempered with the cucumber. But the ozonic scent is a little too much, it kind of overpowers the rest, which is a shame. I have found that a few sprays of a cucumber melon body spray over it REALLY makes a difference and brings out all the notes I love, but I don't prefer to wear it alone.

sharyssa

got this the other day and in comparison to happy this is better but Idk if I'm going to keep or return because I don't think it projects enough but then again a girl at the supermarket gave me a compliment she said it smells good but its not strong but at least she could smell it...after all that's the point of wearing fragrances right...well to me this has a floral somewhat fruity smell with something like bubblegum idk if that's correct but that's what I smell and I do like it but don't love it but I noticed it lingered in my room after I sprayed it for a long time so maybe it does project and I myself just don't notice but I just feel as though I'm cheating on calyx with a sister Clinique fragrance lol but the question for me now is to keep or not to keep??...

Coffee King

It's been interesting bagging the perfect Mother's day fragrance, I found Happy Heart to be very fresh, lightly floral and somehow quite ozonic.

I'm not sure if it's just my nose, but it doesn't seem to transition at any time, it seems to start and up the exact same smell.

It's quite potent, the name Happy seems to suit it well, it's a cheerful fragrance, that seems to remind me of Happy for Men somehow.

hippiechick13

This is such a fresh, easy going fragrance that dries down into something just sweet enough and with a true femininity without going into sultry territory. I smelled this a while ago and wasn't sure, but over recent months it's been on my mind.. I think because on recent tries I have appreciate its strength and lasting power and tenacity... and what it evolves into is lovely to wear. It great for someone who isn't a total fume head, but has characteristics that will appear to those who are.

Spicy, aquatic, a little piece of sunshine in a bottle.

Dort0625

I am BEYOND depressed to say that something happened with me, my skin, my skin chemistry....but this smells like wet dog on my skin now..omg it pains me that this happened! This has been in my top ten since it came out :( I had bought a bottle a few months ago and it was fine until last week. :(

mushroom8118

I first got this in 2005. It was a gift from my then boyfriend (now husband). It was a valentine's gift from him. I absolutely love the scent.

It makes me feel sophisticated. My husband loves the smell on me and he is always complementing me whenever I use them. This is definitely one of my all time favorite. Not just that, I find that it draws a lot of compliments too! I get compliments when I wear this fragrance at the office especially from my colleagues and a few from my customers too.

Its light and smells very nice not too strong at all. Perfect for daytime use. I wore it to a meeting at work and a guy colleague came to me asking what perfume am I using. He adores the smell and wish to buy it for his wife as well. Glad that someone else finds it nice too.

The price is acceptably affordable and will definitely buy again and again. Honestly I've lost count on how many bottles I've used up..hihi

jenbennett

I think this smells pleasant on others, a bit ethereal, but it's not for me. On me a sweet yet bitter and powdery note drowns out any of the freshness and I have to wash it off. The note smells extremely similar to a VS scent with Lily in it. I want to say bombshell summer but not completely sure.

Rsamorose

Hands down one of my favorites. Perfect for hot weather as it lasts, yet doesn't over power. Smells clean. slightly floral, crisp. Spring, summer, winter any one of these you can wear this (I go darker, smokier, heavier in the fall). Non-offensive. Everyone loves it that smells it. Two thumbs up!

fawnydawny

my wedding day fragrance :)

PastelMoon

I don't like Happy, nor I like the design of the bottle and the fragrance reminds me of Arden's Beauty a little, which I don't like at all.

But I like Happy Heart someway, somehow. It is pleasant, gentle yet persistent, balanced and easy to wear, never seem to annoy.

It's great for summer, office, everyday. Or semi casual summer weddings, picnics and birthdays. Floral, dewy, fresh, vibrant, safe and even a little festive. It evokes a very "North American" feeling.

My only complaint that it doesn't feel terribly elegant. Not cheap, not tacky. Just sometimes it feels more like a great shampoo than an actual perfume.

aura_therapy

I don't smell cucumber which is too bad because I love cucumber. This is a bar of soap in a bottle. Not a fancy fig, carrot soap, just any generic soap. It's not at all what I was expecting having read the notes before I sprayed it. The only time or place I can picture myself wearing this is when I go camping with my family. I would definitely smell freshly showered which would be nice. Maybe this could have been called Happy Camper? ha! Sorry, I'm delirious.

Monie70

Oh boy! I wore this yesterday and the initial scent was nice and refreshing but it's really warm out so by mid afternoon (lunch time) it was just too much. I didn't spray too much on, at least I did not spray more than I figured would give me a lasting scent. I sprayed a cloud of fragrance, walked through and spritzes to the wrist but Geez, this was headache inducing!

I've had this bottle for many many years and it smells as it did when I bought it, thanks to storing in dark cool rooms, so I have to believe my taste in fragrances has changed and I simply no longer like the drydown. Oh well...it'll either collect dust or someone my see it and decide they want it. I have no issue parting with it, that's for sure.

Maybe it's more for cooler spring weather as opposed to this non-Spring stuff we've been getting in the south lately.

MademoiselleMaya

Why use parfumes at all if they are perceived as too heavy and overpowering? There are other options like fragrant shower gel, lotion, deodorant or fragrant mist. Or sparing application... I dont understand such complaints at all. Happy Hearts is awful on me - my skin amplifies the fresh notes making them scream "fresh", and that means that this scent is straight from the lab and far from nature, it's screechy and the fresh note is heavy, so heavy that it overpowers everything else.

Irina Sp

I just love this scent! It's so light and not overpowering, wich is my main complaint about perfumes. I sometimes smell it directly from the bottle, because I can't get enough. It smells like a spring garden after rain.
I would probably stick to it for a lifetime, but unfortunately it doesn't stick to my skin, or I can't smell it :( I also had Happy to be, that was a bit more "tough"

Dort0625

This is one of my all time favs! It smells amaZing!!! I find it smells like lilacs a little! The sad thing is the price! To buy at local department stores it's going to set you back around 70 for 50ml and 80 for 100ml....and I try to purchase all of my perfumes from online because it's always so much cheaper, this one is still very pricey even on the net!! Don't get me wrong it's worth it for sure, but when I know I can buy 2-3 perfumes for the same price...it's hard to justify the cash!

jenniewebb

This one has a sparking, fizzy, zingy note like a fruit tingle lolly, and a soapy aquatic feel underneath. Right now it's high summer with lots of humidity, and I just discovered Happy Heart - it's perfect for this sort of weather. Cool, clean and light, love the dry down too. It's a thumbs up from me.

PerfumeGodess

So while I love this fragrance and it makes me very Happy!!! I just would like to make a comment in general while I love and appreciate the fragrance industry coming up with a thousand different versions of the same fragrance line I JUST WISH THE CONSUMER WOULD TAKE THE PLUNGE and try more that one fragrance! You have no idea what you are missing!!!! It is like only enjoying pizza with different toppings your whole life! Live life to the fullest TRY MORE AND MORE FRAGRANCE the landscape and journey is beyond AMAZING!!! THANK YOU TO ALL THE NOSES!!!! I am so enamored with your talents!!! I can't wait for the next concoction!!!!

Allary

I feel like this is the emperor's new clothes of perfumes for me. So excited to try this one and all I get is soap.

Arlene-Beatrix

Carrot - cucumber combo! Very unique in the world of perfumes, I would say :)
I like it because it is quite fresh and joyous, but I don't like to smell like food...

busdrivertohell

I had the original Clinique Happy back in my teenage years. It was light, citrus-y, with a hint of freshly cut grass. 15 years later, I couldn't wear the scent if I wanted to. It's amazing how ones body chemistry changes over the years to turn one awesome scent into a trainwreck on the skin.

Knowing this, I went to my local purveyor of perfumes and overpriced fashion that would be 'dated' in 2 weeks (a.k.a. Macy's) and hit up the Clinique counter first, which was where I tried Happy Heart. When it first came out, it smelled too flowery and sweet. This time, I fell in love immediately. It *worked*, and although I know it's not on the fragrance profile, our bodies are different, so it ended up taking on the personality of a rose perfume on my skin. I bought a bottle, and went home after going spray-silly with it. My husband didn't notice until it was nearing bedtime, and he could smell it faintly. "Are you wearing perfume? It smells really good. When did you start wearing perfume?"

For my fellow nostalgic chicks who wore something great back in the early 2000's but can't wear it now, don't give up. You may be surprised by something you would have never given a second thought to years ago.

jackylyn26

I soO love this perfume! My husband first smell it on me and he liked it very much. I'm on my 3rd bottle now and my husband bought it as a wedding anniversary gift. This is a modern, very fresh and clean scent. A must have for young women like me.

MihaelaT

this perfume is more like the pretty girl nextdoor, what not to like about her, except she's kind of booorrring...it's a nice scent to have though, when it's super hot outside and you just want a very light touch of freshness- I liked it a lot at first but got bored of it really quick ...:(

Raven NessRavenous

I am not a cucumber fan, but this is my FAVORITE perfume...and I thought Clinique Happy was my favorite! The cucumber in Happy Heart is nothing like Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon, so if comments on the melon note turn you off, give Happy Heart a try anyway. Happy Heart is definitely more floral than the original Clinique Happy and gets a little warmer, slightly "milky", and warm. I can imagine wearing this in the early fall. I have been enjoying Happy Heart in 100 degree Tennessee summer weather. No sneezing, no headache! I close my eyes when I wear it and I imagine my heart in my chest being full of love! Ha! Fresh! Soapy! Youthful!

Deepbluesea

Fresh, flower, and elegant! Love it on summer, and warm days!

serenitylola

Happy heart is an ozonic/refreshing fragrance that comes from the cucumber and tangerine. Soon after the carrot, white woods and sandalwood creates the warmth that makes me smile which explains the name, Happy Heart. This fragrance is very versatile for an everyday use, outing with the girls or with your special someone. It has a good longevity, silage and I'm on my second bottle :)

KeriB1982

This is one of those rare scents that I was wild about when I first smelled it/tested it, but within 10-12 applications I ended up disliking it. The flower smell on me is overpowering, and it has a fairly strong soapy scent that never seems to dry down. I think it smells almost rancid when I have worn it for a few hours on a hot summer afternoon. It could also be that my nose is just evolving and this scent is not all that complex, but these are just my observations.

CarrieWhite

I really don't get the fresh notes... it's pretty heavy on the contrary. Sorry, thumb down

Lybarra118

I wore this in college, recently passed by the Clinique counter in Macy's, saw the new bottle and box, had to try it again. It's the exact same as I remember it from 10 years ago.

Fresh and citrusy, perfect for summer. This is another perfume to wear when you're tired of smelling fru-fru or flowery. Very nice.

coachgirl

I used to wear Clinique Happy, until a couple years ago, when I ran out, and tried Happy Heart instead! Love it just as much. To me, these fragrances just shout out "SUMMER"!! So crisp and fresh. Perfect for hot weather days.

tresj

Confession, I started wearing this in college (a surprise birthday gift from parents, to boot--so charming, so juvenile!), before I'd heard of a nose, skin chemistry, chypre, anything.

This hasn't been getting much play. Nowadays I tend to prefer a different kind of scent--less modern, more French, more complicated and wandering, and so I've been meaning to cut this from my stash for at least three years.

But somehow every summer rolls around and I just bring out the bottle again.

armacoonsum

Just lovely. Fresh and clean, for sure, but this "fresh" is more "fresh air" than "just-showered". I normally hide from cucumber in fragrances, because it usually smells so loudly like itself... but here, it quietly cools the warm citrus and peppery florals... so, what you get is a gently juicy, sparkling breeze that is neither hot, nor cold, nor warm, even... just cool. Comfortable. Airy, yet interesting enough to be sexy. I can't believe there is carrot in here, because carrot, to me, is so ugh... dirty smelling? There is nothing about this scent that is dirty, or vegetal... just lilting, feminine, effervescent fresh air.

sheri.patterson

This smells like a luscious deep sweet tangerine with a bit of peppery musk on me for some reason. I LOVE it.

aqua76239

this is very clean and fresh yet floral. Somewhat aquatic yet as another reviewer said, floral enough to satisfy floral lovers.
I don't wear many florals but this one I smelled on another woman and had to ask her what it was. Great for warm weather and it seems to last a really long time for such a light fragrance.

SeleneHdez

Huele a limpio, realmente bien.

Como a un jabón verde que no recuerdo su nombre, pero me hace sentir muy reanimada, si lo recomiendo.

Su duración me pareció de más de 6 horas y ha de proyectar mucho, que me dijeron que olía muy bien.

pomdgf

In fact, this is not a fragrance that everyone will love but it has something that I can't deny. For me, this is a very fresh clean scent but florals enough for flowery lovers. Carrot and cucumber reminds me of a picnic in a hot sunny day or walking on a beach. It's worth for my money for 50ml bottle. I can imagine this summer weekend I will wake up lately , take a shower with cool water, wearing white cotton shirt and drive to somewhere with this fragrance. Oh ! I love this fragrance, young and happiness in a pink bottle. On me very fresh from a very first but long lasting and tender til the end of the day.

PLUMPIE

The slightly deeper, earthier a bit more woody version of the original Happy. This has a bit more personality and is alot less 'sterile' than the original. I do detect a melon note - possibly the cucumber. Definitely not a perfume for me but it's an improvement on the original for me.

honeyhingco

I bought a pocket-sized refill of it before (authentic, of course). It smells sharp at the beginning but it has a nice, floral drydown. It kinda brings out the romantic in me. I liked it more than Clinique Happy but might think twice about buying it the next time. I tend to have a love-hate relationship with this one. It can get quite heady once you overspray it. I might reconsider purchasing it someday, just to see if I finally connnect with it. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

ChristopherRiley

An initially potent, alcoholic, synthetic frag, which soons becomes more orangy and floral...

I applied 6 heavy sprays

0 - 30 secs- Piercing, sharp, alcohol, like rum, 70% proof and so artificial, this frag immediately affected my allergy and my throat went closed...but there is something about that I find nice ...

30 secs - 1 hours - 10 inch projection. Becomes more orangy and floral and projects a relaxing aroma. Ages 28 - 53

1 hours - 3 hours - 7 inch projection but not strong. Relaxing to some extent

3 hours - 5 hours - 1.5 inch projection

5-7 hours - Close to skin

Not really a safe buy and maybe not for allergy suffers - the opening is as artificial as it gets but it soon looses that.

I think this will have a split jury - I hail on the side of liking it, I guess cos I too have a happy heart...

eachuisge

This smelled so bright and fresh coming out of the bottle, but after about 30 seconds it smells like I rubbed a bar of soap all over my wrists. The mandarin comes through faintly, but I can't pick up much else, and is quite close to the skin. Not unpleasant at all, but nothing to distinguish it either, it will be one to wear at work occasionally now the weather is warming up.

Lucy Peach

This is such a refreshing, summery feel-good scent for me! I've been wearing it for the last few months and a quick spritz before work in the morning sets me up nicely for the day. It's slightly sweet but not overpowering fruity, floral with cucumber. The slight oranginess keeps it warm.

ritaramirezz

I used to own Happy Heart and liked it. It smells very fresh, floral and clean. The scent almost has a soapy quality to it. It's not an offensive fragrance, I have smelled worse. But I wouldn't re-purchase again.

soaked

There are always few bottles in a shop which i test constantly just for aromatherapy lol. Yep, Happy Heart is one of them because it literally makes me happy :) Of course it is perfume of a warm spring/summer time, only then it blooms on skin and in the air. I am falling in love day by day and i can't resist it.

seokming

Smells exactly like the white flowers that grow outside my house. I like it!

ParsleyandThyme

I love this! It's fresh and mellow, and works well on my skin.

kaejuntun

This fragrance reminds me of my sister :) It smelled lovely and fresh on her, but it doesn't work as well on me... for some reason cucumber and my skin don't always play well together. If used sparingly Happy Heart is a wonderful fresh, sweet perfume.

Caist

I'm ALMOST certain my sisters wore this.. in the days where I remember playing Donkey Kong Country on the Super Nintendo.. and when Skip-Its were genius. This fragrance is just so fresh, pleasant and clean.

NikkiChantel

This used to be my favortie perfume, then one day a boss of mine (who was a fat slob pig) said, "wow, it smells like ant spray in here", he said that every time I wore it. I stopped wearing it after that even thought others had complimented me on it. I miss it but the ant spray comment really bothered me.

shanghaifleur

Happy Heart is the one I like the least from The Happy line. It's smells very pungent and to my nose its just like bug spray or some mosquito skin repellent (like Off! for those who knows it).... I think it must be the Hyacinth... It's strong and long lasting (6hrs+), and can easily be a headache trigger if you use more than 2 sprays...the whole scent doesn't evolve much, it's quite linear so the stuff you smell when u just spray is pretty much what u will get stuck with for some long, long, hours....
Definitely try before you buy!...

Mebster

To me (and on me) it smells transparant fresh watery cucumbery citrusy floral. It's my perfume for casual carefree days. For weekend and holidays. But be careful. this is potent. More than 3 sprays possible in causing migraine. lLongevity is clinique quality guarantee.. At least 10 hours on me.. Sometimes more than that. Sillage is moderate. An arm length.

meantoddy

Love the smell- they say it is too floral but I find it citrusy and really fresh. I just wish it smells more strong and lasts longer

ivybkk

its scent after down dry makes me feel warm, like it :)
not sure the parfum made from u.s.a will different from switzerland or not (I re-purchased and it's from switzerland.. smell a bit diff to u.s.a... (- -?))

popsiclepout

I find it quite cheap and annoying, and think it lacks the joyful character of the original happy. all the other notes in it are masked under this overwhelming aquatic note, but not in a fresh cucumber-y way as the list of the notes say. I can't exactly describe it, but my best try would be that I constantly feel like I'm trying to sniff something that's under water.

iamjennyrobyn

This is my fav lunch or afternoon tea party perfume. My weekend perfume too.

hipchicagomom

Meh. It definitely smells like Clinique. It's one of those scents where I love it on other people, but on me it doesn't pair well with my chemistry, and it gives me a headache when I spray it more than once on my skin. It has a very strong and pungent floral element, and it smells the same the entire time I'm wearing it; it doesn't seem to have a drydown on my skin. I will wear it once in a while because my husband bought it for me (I gave away the first bottle he gave me, lol), but all in all, not my cuppa.

ciobanu.andreea

on me it smells like sweet strawberries, which stiffles the watery, sparkling oceanic notes.Interestingly, strawberries are not listed among the ingredients

meimei08

I like the smell, but its a perfume that you should only take a few spritz, otherwise its too overwhelming. its as girly scent.

loonad

really nice inoffensive smell.very feminine.good for spring and summer time.

hübsche Frau

I love it. It's clean and fresh.. It's good for summer. :)

ashleypod

This is an amazing spring/summer fragrance. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't last, at all! And after wearing it for only a week or two, I begin to not smell it at all anymore. This is a signature fragrance for me, but I can only wear it for about a month out of every 6.

Ramz

wearing this one is feeling like a lady in the paradise.. try this...so youthful scent like.

bahar.sr7

i had this perfume, but i got tired of using it after about 1 month.it is boring and causes headache :|

b.a.denney

This perfume doesn't do much for me. To me it definitely smells floral. It's just an okay scent. I would never buy a bottle of this after trying a tiny bottle I came across. It's just not a great scent.

G00D_Girl

smells like laundry soap... not my cup of tea

Fragaria

I almost bought this! The sales assistant didn't care for it. I kept sniffing my sample, and just loved it! I sprayed my arm and shopped awhile. I had to agree, this wasn't nice on. I came up with a bitter citrus scent which was comparable to the rind of a grapefruit. It was the only thing I could smell, nothing of the sweet bright cheery summertime scent that was on the card. It had some good lasting power, just not pleasant enough to WANT it to last so long. Talk about bargain shopping! Didn't spend a dime after all!

reyjasson

This is actually more floral, fresh and clean compared to Happy's more citrusy sunny approach, which I loved too nonetheless. I love how it is completely different for the latter in the sense that it's still very fragrant and distinctly remarkable in a way that's not too cheery or overpowering. Perfect for a day out in the park or just your regular everyday fragrance. Stays long too :)

fath1ma

So thankfull I can sniff HH at dept.store before blindbuy at perfume onlineshops. I love the top notes, fresh, airy, verygood for summer. Definitely I was going to buy this! But I tried to be wise, the price is more expensive. When I got into the our travelling bus, maybe 1 hour after sprited HH, oh... I smelled something weird, I just don't like it. The middle and base notes were not for my nose, could not enjoy HH as I really expecting on a perfume I'd like to purchase. Had erased it on my 'want list'

heythere123

Amazing perfume! It has been my ultimate favourite perfume of all for many years. When I wear it and close my eyes I imagine myself in flower garden, in a beautiful flowly dress on a sunny summers day. It also reminds me of a real rose. When you smell a rose there is many delicate layers of scent that combine beautifully together. It the same way when you smell this perfume it just wow! It floral, sophistacted, soft and fresh. I really love it :)

Lettukestit

This is just glorious! The watery, cucumbery freshness is so invigorating! Love it, perhaps even more than the original Happy, which I totally adore as well.

Edit. excellent longevity too :)

Trinidella

I prefer Happy Heart to Happy. I got this as a birthday gift from my husband 2/3 years ago. I cherish this.

aquinnah

bought it recently.all i have to say is it doesn't last on me.hardly past an hour

electra7

This fragrance doesn't make me feel happy at all.
I bought it this winter and using it sometimes.
definitely not my signature scent and
I don't think I will buy it again..

ellachamp

hands down my favorite perfume ever! nothing hasn't even come close for me. I fell in love with the smell right away and I've been using it for the past 5 years. the name "Happy Heart" is exactly how I feel when I wear it. My boyfriend loves this on me, he said I smell really yummy lol. It's a beautiful fragrance. Not overpowering at all and very feminine. Lasting power is good. Bottom line is Clinique Happy Heart smells wonderful on me and I guess that's all that matters lol

mariaoctav

i tried my friend's and i think this is sooo fresh and clean. love it but not for everyday.

jenny23

This fragrance smells really nice, to me it smells just like coach poppy flower. I like this one a lot better than Clinique happy. This is a pretty uplifting floral.

maggee

It was love at first smell :) Fresh, gentle, clean

Grehjohrt

I think the name of this perfume fits the scent very well. Happy Heart is a bright and zesty floral. Unfortunately, it can be a little to sharp sometimes.

Yah-el

Fresh, light (yet long-lasting), sweet but not syrupy ... happy heart is the perfect name for this intoxicating scent. Love it!

mirna86

This perfume it´s a work of art. It´s so fresh and elegant, I love it!

darrshanjvoraa

after applying this i cant stop sniffing my wrist , oh my goodness its really fresh with a very well balanced floral ,sweetness ,freshness all in all very elegant and not overpowering, the longevity is amazing. a must hav for floral fresh lovers.

tuntun787

I work with someone who always gives me this perfume for christmas or other occasions. I receive many compliments on it, I like the smell , but don't love it. But it's very long lasting which is good. I wear it on certain occasions.

igor2011

One of my all time favorites! On me it smelled like fresh flowers, even on the dry down. Most scents tend to dry down powdery or musky on me but this one stayed smelling like a fresh picked bouquet of flowers. So crisp, clean, and not overpowering at all. Perfect scent for everyday. It really makes me feel happy.

nicki317

I didn't like this as much as I hoped I would. It has a very fresh, clean, happy scent, no doubt, but I guess I wanted it to be a tiny bit more sweet and flowery. Someone said it smells like Coach Poppy but I disagree. And now that I look at the notes again I should have known! haha Anyway, it's nice but not exactly my style. My husband likes it though so I'll still wear it sometimes.

nikkic78

I went on two vacations, New Orleans and Cabo, and started a new job with this scent. It is very optimistic and energetic but soft and feminine. I got lots of compliments with this as well. I don't remember why I stopped wearing it...maybe a change of seasons. Happy Heart is very spring and summer. As a matter of fact, outside the job I mentioned earlier, hummingbirds would come to visit the planters by the front doors and windows. Happy Heart makes me think of hummingbirds every time. This scent makes me hate that I'm so fickle with perfumes. So much to smell...so little time!

elenian

I had this on my wardrobe for months. And i had some few sprays.Today, the day was sunny, Saturday morning, no work, no cooking ,nothing...just hung out with friends by the sea...And i'm in front of the perfumes. My eye stuck on Happy Heart.Ok lets see...spritz a few times and gone!
I felt something, refreshing, renewing, and as i joined my company, they all told me Hey! You smell really good!!! Like the sunshine! And yes...Weather was a bit cold. And one girl came beside me and took a strong dose of HH.I think i prefere it in cooler months cause it makes me feel so special and feel like running by the sea with my sweater... It gives me beautiful images...
This friend of mine just ordered it from the internet!

Amour, Michele

I love Happy Heart. I usually go for typically more complex, a bit spicier, "oriental" or a bit more in-your-face chypre scents. But, there's something about Happy Heart. There are plenty of pretty, happy, everyday scents out there. But, I never really love those scents. But, Happy Heart stands out because it's smells so honest. It's just so outgoing and bloody damn happy. The honesty of Happy Heart, not the usual coy, flirty prettiness, is what makes it truly a joy for me.

ahnm

very fresh, pretty, floral scent.. but idk why, sometimes this smells like balloons to me.

aniston

I tried this from a perfume store and oh I just have to have it! Will start saving for this one.
I was really surprised as I just had 1 spritz near my elbow and left and didn't mind at all when suddenly its refreshing smell poke me and I fell in love already. A fragrance like no other! I think I can trade all my perfume for this!

riverine

Happy Heart is beautiful, fresh, ethereal fragrance that smells just like a garden on cool summer morning after the rain. Very natural smelling on my skin. It opens quite loud with mandarin and watery cucumber. Then it settles into soft floral with sweetness from the carrot. Never thought that carrot could be used in fragrance but in this one it is really sweet and nice, almost fruity (think the taste of a freshly picked sweet and juicy summer carrot). From here the scent doesn't really change anymore and the cucumber, carrot and flowers linger throughout.

On warm weather this is cool and fresh on my skin, but on cooler weather I can feel the warmth that some reviewers have described and the scent feels stronger and somehow different, a bit spicy maybe. Still nice but I prefer this during warm/hot summer days when it works with my skin better.

Great sillage and lasting power, you really don't have to spray much.

kokiri64

I like the bottle and packaging: simple but beautiful. And I wish I could give this perfume some love, but it always smells really off on me... I guess it just doesn't work with my body chemistry....

smritivsingh

It's a nice scent.. quite nice in fact but doesn't have a personality enough.. I eventually got bored but finished my bottle because I had to...

ojosverdes

I tried this scent and it seem promising at first outgoing fresh and flowery but as time went by and it came to the base notes I changed completely on me. It just became suffocating and not fresh at all. It was too musky for my taste or perhaps it was the sandalwood??? Clinique Happy didn't like it either, I tried wearing it and my husband asked me If I had been around a smoker! I think this two fragrances share some similarities. Simply not for me!

I´ve been trying to find a perfume that makes me feel as good as this, I´ve smelled many and none of them have managed to say "I like this better thant Happy Heart", the only one I like "almost" like this, is Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche, not even because it is Chanel.

Happy Heart is unique, unlike any other, I love it and think it's perfect for me. At the beginning appears the cucumber, then the water hyacint adds a strong and flowery note, after that, the mandarin orange makes the balance and adds a citric and exquisite freshness, these are the highlights of the perfume, the mixture between them is sharp but a minutes later becomes a delicious scent, discreet, elegant, young, and incredible long lasting.

For me this perfume is great not because the ingredients are the most interesting (carrot? really?), but because together they make a unique perfume, which has the perfect balance of sweetness, floral notes, fruity notes and freshness. To me it is not just a Chypre-Floral, is a work of art.

(As my last and fast review of Happy Heart, I still give it 11/10)

Happy Heart is the fragrance that I like the Clinique brand as it bears some resemblance to clinique happy, but more enjoyable, refreshing, lively, romantic and a floral finish. Exquisite aroma, which leaves you feeling clean and fresh ideal for summer or spring, though I wish I had better fixation.

I tried Happy Heart and Happy In Bloom 2011 today at Macy's. They both are very similar at the top as all the Clinique Happy does with its bright fruit clean and cheerfulness. While the Happy Heart is a bit greener, the Happy In Bloom is just goos old fruity and fun.

Quickly, Happy Heart becomes soapy on my skin and In Bloom gets more floral but still very clean fruity. I don't care much for the Heart Heart because I don't like the soapy quality, but Happy Heart outlasts the In Bloom 2011 by a long shot! At this point, I can no longer smell In Bloom 2011 but Happy Heart becomes sweet creamy/watery floral and gentle wood.

Generally, I get about 3-4 hours out of these two perfumes. Maybe Happy Heart is a bit longer because I still can smell it close to my skin. Not sure which is better but they both are lovely. All Clinique Happy perfumes are lovely, I think.

I would just go for the look of the bottle and let the best price wins.

perlaj

fresh, playful and joyful as drops of dew, I like more than the original clinique happy

Habanita

Just another light floral. Somehow all Clinique scents except for Elixier do smell the same to me: light florals that hurt noone and are on the market so often.

orchid_84

I was surprised at how much I ended up liking Happy Heart. It's not really like any other fragrance I've tried. It's floral but also green and vegetal. The cucumber and air/water notes give this a really fresh, crisp feel without being aquatic. At the same time, the floral notes make this scent soft and pretty. It makes me think of being in a sunny, gorgeous garden in the middle of summer with the comforting scents of sun-warmed plants and flowers all around. Refreshing and uplifting.

This wasnt my original choice from my perfume wardrobe today. 1st choice was going to be ck escape. which i went mad looking for throughout my perfume collection.Overwhelming when u have my amount of perfumes!. love them all dearly xx. Anyways Happy Heart was my 2nd choice as i was in the mood for a floral aquatic feel and it fits the bill perfectly!.Love the bright citrus cucumberry floral watery feel it radiates. I dont seem to get any sandalwood or woody notes atall. think they must be used more just as a fixitive in this scent. It stays fresh and beautiful for hours. A real "Must have" for summer. :)

Ecmaddox

Ive always loved how sweet and floral and long lasting this is. Definitely worth it!

Soutty123

This has been my staple summer scent for the last few years but I have now got a bit bored with it. The opening is a little sharp - that is quite nice on very hot days but it can also get on your nerves after a while.

The body lotion is very creamy and I prefer the scent it gives off - far less sharp than the perfume.

guest_LeeLee

I tried this on during a cool day and was pleasantly surprised. A totally different experience than I had previously with it. It's not sweet or watery cool, but it's fresh and welcoming. This became my feel-good winter scent this year. I like this one for Fall/Winter and Happy In Bloom for Spring/Summer, I think.

mirna86

I absolutely love this scent, is feminine, elegant, fruity, a little sweet, a little spicy (but not too much ´cause i don´t like spicy ones) Is fresh and fruity but in a classy way, totally amazing. When I wear this , I can´t stop sniffing myself, and I recive so many compliments. It lasts all day long, and when I wake up in the morning stills there, This is my signature perfume. I give it 11/10!

fifaatm

just sniffed it once, first it smell ok, fruit citrusy, but later, it smells like one of those dishwashing soaps (0__o)a

breeze&somnolence

I so WISH I could write this review with a happy heart.
The opening had me fooled....so cool, and refreshing.
Almost like finding an ornate fountain of heavenly water in the middle of a desert.
So succulent I couldn't stop smelling my wrists.
But after a while, something cropped up like thorns and marred the entire experience.
There is something so sharp in this scent ...(the cassia...maybe? )that sliced my nerves with pain. I wouldn't recommend this scent if you're prone to headaches and nausea like me.

However, the notes of carrot and water hyacinth make this scent bearable for me. Soften it like velvet blanket.

Happy Heart could have been one of the most beautiful scents out there. Sadly, it just left me with a distressed heart.

2.5 / 5.

mirna86

I love this perfume! First smell very strong and spicy, a few minutes later starts getting lighter, fruity and delicious! It last forever!

ashsnyde04

I have used Clinique Happy Heart for several years. It is very sweet and floral at the same time. It has the longest staying power of anything that I have ever tried! I work 12 hour shifts, and by the end of my day I can still smell it on my skin and clothes. I LOVE this perfume!! I only wish that Clinique would come out with something new...

lunageerl88

i'm wearing this perfume right now. it's smell very sweet and citrus but it seems like the smell is not long lasting on me. so, i don't like to buy it anymore

Perfumedsecrets

It's incredibly long lasting, like most Clinique perfumes. It's also the only perfume that my spouse notices, or so it seems. I don't know what exactly stands out to him.. to me it smells like a water lily and grass in the Spring time. It's fresh and crisp, while the florals are sheer and breezy. I get quite a lot of compliments with it. So, what they say is true. Even if a perfume doesn't stand out to you, sometimes your chemistry with it is undeniable. Men love Clinique perfumes. I don't know how many have told me Clinique Happy is one of their faves. I imagine because it's so cheerful and inviting.

tresj

An astringent floral...not a "chypre" in the traditional sense. Imagine if the chypre-ness of the perfume compressed itself into one burst that didn't change, ever. True, there's citrus and floral and (a very cleaned-up) sharp mossyness, but they come at you all at once... Although it's floral, it's so crisp that if you repackaged + read different notes into it, you could probably market it to men.

This one's probably work-safe: it's one of the few that don't give headaches to my very scent-sensitive mother. Go easy on it, though. This -is- a parfum (even if it's so watery-sharp you might forget and think you're wearing an EdT at times)!

Ditto to everything said about the lotion version of this.

seatonica

Unfortunately, on my skin Happy Heart smells like a weird combination of flowers and flyspray.

sparklieesun

I didn't expect to like Clinique Happy heart since I assumed that it would smell like Clinique Happy, but boy, was I wrong!

Although Clinique Happy is billed as a floral fruity fragrance with a focus on citrus fruits, I didn't smell that at all. Instead, I got an initial strange astringent don't-know-how-to-describe-it smell which thankfully dried down to a clean musky/woody? scent.

Anyway, back to Happy Heart. I tried Happy Heart side by side with Happy, and was amazed at the difference. This fragrance is very floral - the words "soft" and "feminine" come to mind. Now, I don't mean "soft" as in "light" - Happy Heart has great staying power and sillage. I could still smell it on my wrist hours later. But I mean soft as in... a woman who exudes femininity - she's not loud or hard-edged and doesn't demand that you recognize that she's a woman. She's confident in herself and her attractiveness.

An interesting note about this perfume is that it doesn't develop over time. What you smell is what you get, which is nice if you want an uncomplicated don't-want-to-think-too-hard fragrance or if you just want to smell like flowers all day. However, if you're the kind of person who likes her perfumes to evolve over time, you'll probably get bored with smelling the same all the time.

As for me, I own a bottle for those simple, laid-back days where I just want to revel in simple, classy girly clothes :]

Désirée

I wanted to like this fragrance, I really did. I have a 50ml bottle so I had a lot of chance to test it but every time I put this on, it felt like I am wearing some cleaning-sterilizing product rather than a feminine perfume.

In terms of longevity, this product is amazing. It stays for 10 hours just as the same, it doesn't develop, doesn't mellow down and it smells the same on everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I love smelling clean. I like DG-Light Blue, Boitherm splashes, Yves Rocher "Naturelle", some Moschino's etc.. But Happy Heart, despite it's lovely name, bottle and concept, is just trying too hard..

LadyAubrie

My grandma got me a bottle of this for Christmas in 2004, and I keep it because she got it for me, but...

I've wanted to like this fragrance. I've worn it in different phases of my life, trying to be as open minded as possible. I think the floral just hits me way too hard. The water hyacinth in it is ruthless and bitter and it keeps reminding me it's there. The reminder isn't pleasant. And there's no drydown. It smells the same on top as it does when you go to scrub it off the next morning - with the same intensity.

I'm not saying it's not a good perfume - it's an excellent perfume, quality-wise. But CHH is proof to me that some perfumes work with you...and some hate you as much five years later as the day you got them.

AgataA

This fragrance is very good with cold weather)

staceyluv

this has been my perfume of choice since '04 .. My hubby got it for me as a gift. It smells like honeysuckle to me..thats the hyacinth I suppose. Comments are pleasant year round.. Happy Heart is a lot less citrusy than Happy. Not a fan of citrus but I LOVE this! I'm very versatile though bc right now I am wearing el pleasures delight

Dian Dananjaya

WOOOOW..
I VERY VERY VERY LOVE THIS SMELL..
SOO FRESH, YOUNG..
MMMMHHH,
I ALWAYS FEEL HAPPY AFTER USE THIS...
TRY THIS !!!

candykiss0011

It smells fresh and classy on me =)

cloyd42

A schizophrenic perfume. Use it heavily and the hyacinth is the primary note, use it lightly and the cucumber and mandarin orange predominate. It's a delightful summer scent but ease into it with a light touch. Odd side note: the hand cream has a brighter citrus feel to it with the carrot and cucumber more noticeable. The lotion lasts for quite a while so it's an excellent value.

judies6

Happy Heart manages to be light & fresh, but classy all in one whiff. I feel it is a safe everyday fragrance, yet remains distinctive. Must be the cucumber or carrot notes that make it unique.

seaghostdusk

I do believe that this scent would suite most people. It is a very pleasant and delightful scent that gets better as the day goes by. I have both Happy and Happy Heart, and Happy Heart is much nicer,in my opinion. If there was a category for clean, fresh, or soapy scents, I would put this one in that category. It is also very unique. I have not smelled a single perfume anywhere near Happy Heart. Some have said that it is too sharp for them, but I totally disagree. I find it soft and very feminine. Perfect for a work fragrance. Many think that it is a good summer scent, but I think it would be good for any time of year and any time of day. One of my all time favorite scents!

Elue

Happy Heart could be a wonderful gift to any girl. I don't think you can go wrong with it. As others have said, it smells like you have freshly showered.
But.. there is something disturbing and sharp in it that I cannot put my finger on. It is like a beautiful song that performed by a very high-pitched voice.

Toom_Snoopy

At first it's sharp fruity then become fresh soap for me. It's nice and fresh but I prefer "Happy" because I like citrus scent.

Schnuppernase

Very floral but still warm. This is a pretty and nice fragrance. Perfect for daywear in summer and spring, I immediately fell in love with this clean flower scent!

Smells like a whole meadow full of beautiful dewy flowers. Absolutely lovely, "out-of-the-shower" feeling included.
Lasts very long, too.

Still, the original Happy is a hint better in my opinion, and this is not available anymore. Sad enough... :(

missk

Happy Heart is basic yet pretty.

This fragrance doesn't make me jump up and down for joy or do somersaults across the room, however I do feel much happier when wearing it.

Happy Heart is a light fruity floral which has a tendency to be clean and slightly soapy, but not overly so. It has some similarities to Happy, also by Clinique, however this fragrance isn't as citrusy.

The cucumber in the top notes adds a unique, cool watery freshness that I really enjoy. Cassia also adds a nice spicy subtlety which is reminiscent of most Clinique fragrances.

I found the note of carrot to also be surprisingly good and far from the predictable path that Clinique could have chosen. It was unfortunate that this fragrance just didn't agree with my skin chemistry. I would have considered it if it did.

danimcneil

This will always be one of my favorite scents. I remember when it came out back in my junior year of high school. One of my friends walked in the class room, and smelled so delicious and clean. This is such a wonderful fragrance. I definitely like Happy Heart more than Happy. Although i do still ove the original. But HH is a touch sweeter and more floral than fruity. HH is a great spring and summer scent. But i wear it all year round. I am on my 3rd bottle of this. HH has great lasting power and silleage. Even when i cant smell it on myself, people in the other side of the room will complement "the girl with the beautiful perfume" :)

sweetmarie

I absolutely adore this smell! It's everything I love: fresh, clean, sweet, floral and delightfully happy smelling. Also, it works so well with my chemistry and lasts all day. Definitely a keeper!

Halvah

My skin chemistry turns this scent into a strong fruity floral, and first definetely more fruity than any floral. However, it must have something in it because my husband loves it and this perfume is very attractive according to him. For me, it's too simple, too shower cream-like but still it's original and something different. I'm still not sure wether to like i or not, but i suggest to wear it for a day or two before buy it or regret it.

RouenFr

I hated this. It smelled like flowers had died near me. People asked what I was wearing and not in a good way :(

Girly T-Rex

I don't get why so many people are hating on this perfume. I guess I can understand why some people might not like it (especially if they love fruity-florals or oriental fragrances). But me personally, I like it alot. Like other people have said, I had no idea this had a carrot note in it. No wonder it smells unlike anything else I've ever sniffed before, or since I tried it 6 years ago (on my second bottle now). To me, this is a bit strong and heavy (just a little bit) but I think it's still a great perfume. Even though it's summer and I have it on today, I recommend it for cooler weather.

lubell18

I hate to rain on the parade but this fragrance makes me physically ill. I bought it blindly, thinking it was a fragrance my cousin wore and I adored. Much to my dismay, I discovered that my cousin actually wore the discontinued Clinique Happy to Be, not Happy Heart. Happy Heart is very floral and sharp. It is fresh, but not my style of fragrance. If you like clean, fresh scents this might be for you. Alas, for me, it was flat, shrill, and nauseating.

kahokero

I finished a bottle of Happy Heart long ago. I didn't know that it has cucumber and carrots notes. I only got floral smells. It's not bad but it's not something that I would purchase again.

alicektn

This one is a very fresh fragrance, it reminds me of clean clothes under the sun. I think it's the best from the "happy" line. I would wear it ocassionally..Very long lasting, despite its lightness.I could smell it after 10 hours...

Allegra

Clinique's product line of Happy fragrances is just amazing, love 'em all! Happy Heart starts out quite sharp when you spray it on, but soon (half an hour or so) it settles down to something different. Very lovely, fresh, romantic, summery and flowery scent emerges and gives you a chance to enjoy its long-lasting breeze until the end of the day. Beautiful :)

emily1981

I like the Happy line of Clinique but I something went wrong with this one. Would not recommend.

kurisu

Younger sister of "happy",just sweeter and fresher but a way too sharp in the beginning. But,when it settle on my skin it become more mellow.I prefer to use it more than original happy. The staying power is superb like her sister.Anyway I can't say that every one would love this one,so don't over apply it.

K_Virtue

I got it from a relative. Putting it on, I realized that the scent is very overpowering in a bad way. Then 4 me personally, it began 2 burn my skin literally so I had 2 stop using it immediately. Something I definiately wouldn't try again...

bugsy_b

Such a boring fragrance and smelled cheap.
How come an expensive designer perfume smells so light just like a cheap cologne?

dolita

1st time i smelled it on my cousin i get it in time but after wearing it i got bored of it and begin to feel headache while im wearing it
it's kind of perfumes that's easy to get bored from it in a short time
