Coach the Fragrance Eau de Toilette by Coach is a Floral fragrance for women. Coach the Fragrance Eau de Toilette was launched in 2016. Coach the Fragrance Eau de Toilette was created by Natalie Gracia-Cetto and Sonia Constant. Top notes are Pear, Pink Grapefruit and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are White Rose, Bulgarian Rose and Jasmine Sambac; base notes are Musk, Oakmoss, White Cedar Extract and Sandalwood.

Fall of 2016 welcomes the new Coach signature fragrance - Coach the Fragrance - in two versions: Coach Eau de Parfum, and Coach Eau de Toilette.

Coach Eau de Toilette is announced as the ultimate accessory and the embodiment of the values and heritage of this iconic American brand, rooted in the cool and urban atmosphere of New York. It is said to be an energetic, sensual fragrance that symbolizes the decisive, modern and independent woman, giving them a modern classic.

The Eau de Toilette version of the new fragrance is developed by perfumers Nathalie Gracia-Cetto and Sonia Constant, allegedly inspired by the spontaneous energy and urban style of downtown New York. The fragrance is described as a floral - green composition full of contrasts, starting with pear, mandarin oil and pink grapefruit, developing with a heart of elegant white Alba rose, Bulgarian rose and Sambac jasmine, and ending with a base of white cedar, musk, sandalwood and oak moss.

The bottle has the same form as the Eau de Parfum edition, except that instead of beige it is colored in soft pink with silver accents. The signature details of Coach design are also here, like a leather tag that hangs from the side and the horse and carriage emblem engraved in the glass of the bottle.

Actress Chloe Grace Moretz represents an all-American girl as the face of the new fragrance campaign, shot by Steven Meisel. The fragrance is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

This is a very neutral fragrance for me. I like to wear it for work bc it smells okay, and it has no distinct personality. It’s floral and sweet and fruity— nothing stands out to me. When I finish it, I won’t repurchase.

ko_ne

It is nice

Treslicious

Tangy fruits and soapy white roses, a little synthetic. Smells a lot like Balmain Extatic EDT but more tangy. Reminds me of the DKNY Be Delicious series. Not as nice as Idole or Jadore. Like all other Coach perfumes, it smells nice but not luxury.

Thranduil

Such a juicy pear perfume. 🥹

And the rose adds a delicate softness to the scent.

I suspect that I bought this fragrance for the bottle.
I think that on some subliminal level I was looking to find something from this line because the bottle is very appealing to me. Something about it's flat smoothness and the charm-like appendage was just calling out to me. i also like that although there is no cap, the sprayer does lock, which is good for travel.
I had tried the EDP but it was too strong for me. The Wild Rose was too synthetic. There are no testers for the others in my country so, given that EDT seemed like the best bet for me with its rose-forwardness and citrus top notes, I blind bought a 30 mil.
The result of this purchase is that I now have a fragrance that is 90% identical to something I already own - Mademoiselle Rochas EDT - that is already pretty redundant in my collection. I should have believed the "This perfume reminds me of" feature on this site.
Coach EDT is a very nice fragrance - don't get me wrong. It just doesn't really add anything to my collection. The rose, on me, is not a stand-out as I had hoped and neither is the citrus, nor the woods. Instead, as often happens with my body chemistry, the musk is very dominant. This is the main difference between this scent and the Mademoiselle Rochas EDT which I find to be to be a bit brighter.
I lent this bottle to my DD for her recent trip to Spain, kind of hoping she would bring it back almost empty or that she would want to keep it but that didn't happen. It's not really her jam. Now that I have it back I'm going to save it for winter and see if I like it better then. It's too heavy for the weather that we're having now in mid-August.
Update- No significant difference now in Autumn, so I'm passing it on.
Edit - January 2024 - so I gave this to my younger DD who accepted in grudgingly and designated it as a gym scent. Well, she's been wearing this regularly now and I love how it smells on her. I get so many more aspects of the scent on her, especially the wood. It's really a lovely scent. Just not on me.

Sweet and floral scent that is not too overpowering. I like to put this perfume behind my ears and I often catch a whiff of the scent as I move my hair. It makes me think of the sort of aroma that would come from a clear lake in the middle of a beautiful, enchanted forest, with rose petals and other flowers having been drenched in it for years. Its giving off that flowery watery vibe to me and I'm loving it.

Eriksen

Imo it is very close to Chanel chance tendre edt, even side by side. Love it ❤️

Lovely rose forward fragrance, I do get the citrus as well, certainly very different to the EDP. I find this one less sweet and more floral. I do prefer the EDP just for the sweetness but I do also like this one a lot. Happy to have it in my growing collection and I am looking forward to purchasing the entire coach line. I think their fragrances are very underrated but they are fabulous ! Ive yet to be disappointed. Longevity is great, love the packaging no complaints here. I would recommend this specific scent for a young adult straight into their 40s it fares well with any age. As long as you don't mind rose and florals you will like this alot.

All rose and jasmine. Must be a rose lover for this fragrance as none of the other notes come through. Very flat and 1 dimensional. Washed it off, it started to choke me. Spring/summer daytime fragrance.

It’s a citrusy, rosy and sparkling fragrance that is light and fun to wear. It’ll hang on for a lot longer than you think with an EDT (by the way, it’s an EDT that is related to the EDP, not exact, but I don’t have that fragrance right now to compare to it in detail). It dries down into a beautiful musk. I get a solid 3-4 hours on my skin. I love it, and really, I love all this series including Coach Floral, Coach EDP, and Coach Floral Blush (have not gotten my nose on Coach Wild Rose yet).

LoafyLady

Classic love. Not too much like the EDP, just enough scent wise while surprisingly still detectable at the end of a day. Probably associated with a younger crowd like Miss Dior, pretty and pink.

dancingdear

For a floral fruity edt from an affordable brand this is a powerhouse!
Applied two inner arm sprays this morning. It was a hot day, I did yard work, gave the dog a bath, general cleaning chores and could still smell it at the end of the day. (Sillage definitely reduced but still there!)

Okay so starting with the pear and grapefruit these notes stay throughout the day. The grapefruit keeps the pear from being too sweet and gives it a sparkling vibe. It is really strong and people around you will be able to smell it. The roses soften it so less tart but definitely still prominent. Even in the dry down the citrus is still there with a bit of musk.

If you like citrus and pear this is a dream because the top notes are beast mode throughout the day.

LeahElskerParfyme

Love it! It smell really good, it is soft, very suitable for girls.

sda11489

This is a beautiful everyday fragrance that would make a great signature scent. I feel like it can be worn anywhere at any time. It reminds me of Chloe eau de parfum, but not as strong floral and with the added fruity element of pear. It is not an overpowering fragrance, but it can definitely be smelled by those close to you. It lasts a very long time on clothing and about 4-6 hours on my skin. I was surprised at how much I enjoy this fresh, fruity fragrance. For reference, I love Chanel Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum, Clinique Happy and Happy Heart, Chloe Eau de Parfum, and this fits in with those as being a fresh, floral, slightly fruity everyday fragrance.

berrycool1211

This is a delightful perfume. It's feminine and beautiful. A fresh floral musk scent. I mostly smell the Pink Grapefruit, Rose and Musk. Occasionally I get whiffs of Mandarin Orange.

On my skin it lasts between 2 to 4 hours. On clothing 20+ hours. Sillage is moderate.
Season- Spring and Summer. Though I think it can be good in Autumn too. Time - Day.

I find this perfume good to wear in urban dwellings. Going out to a movie or a cafe or shopping in a mall seems like the best occasion to wear this.

I love this perfume.

chunniecorn

This is a beautiful everyday fragrance. I would describe it as a clean, fresh, floral smell. It smells like J'adore, but with less depth (it has its treble notes, but not bass). I see the similarities with Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, except it is not as light/green tea like. I would see it as an in between of J'adore and Blooming Bouquet. If you like Chloe edp and the two Diors mentioned, you will like this. Makes a great day fragrance that will be enjoyed by those around you. This was a blind buy purchase at Winners, and it is my prob my first successful blind buy.

washudtoj

I get rose, pear, and musk, and nothing else.

It's nice-smelling, but it's so powdery. I know at least one reviewer says it was mature-smelling, but I think it's not powdery in a mature way; rather a very girly, teenage-y way.

I am completely indifferent to it. I prefer fresh and dewy rose.

Pass!

nickinicole

This is my go to for cooler months. It dries into a beautiful rosey musk with mild hits of wood (great for fall), and it that lasts way longer than any other EDT that I own (I can still smell it after the end of a work day). There's a warmth to it that I enjoy, and it feels very feminine.

Soccergreat88

This is a beautiful rose scent. Not heavy yet has beautiful fresh light notes in it making it a perfect innocent scent or something for the office maybe. Beautiful for spring months and is just a classy type beautiful women scent that isn't heavy or cloying at all. It isn't a heavy rose perfume because it is blended beautifully with many other scents. I actually didn't know or detect th rose in it until I read the notes and reviews.

As nice as it is, I don't wear much of these typs of perfumes and I have some other rose scents instead so I will probably get rid of this.

sydneycmck

The EDT lasts about 4 hours on my skin. The scent is beautiful, floral and very sophisticatedly sweet. One of my favorites despite the poor longevity; sillage is pretty impressive for an EDT :)

Luthien999

Wonderful rose scent. Fresh, dewy rose smell. Perfect for Spring and Summer. Lancôme Idole smells similar. Day- time. My mother gave it to me as a birthday Gift. IMO, The second best rose scent after Escada Especially Delicate Notes.

sallyjwong

The drydown of the EDT version of Coach is beautiful. The initial spray is sharp fruity notes. I'm not a fan of the initial spray so I wait for this lovely scent to reveal itself. It then evolves to floral notes at the heart. An hour later, it settles down to this lovely warm vibe that is perfect for spring and summer. It is fresh and feminine. It has good sillage and lasting power for an EDT. I would wear it to the office.

nicksolihin

A right mixture of floral and fruity, a feminine scent, recomended

dripmoon

Really pretty and inoffensive fruity floral! Reminds me of Korean skincare but the dry down gives me a massive headache :(

scentualmango

I totally have to agree this smells like hotel lotion. Simple, fresh and inoffensive. A fragrance you can layer and even wear on its own if you want something uncomplicated and crowd pleasing.

scentnut

The opening is strong with a lovely honeysuckle. I don’t see it in the note profile but that’s what I smell. Then it merges quickly into a “laundry” scent on me. The dry down is way more pungent than I expected. Projected and lasted quite a while despite others experiences.

aulialovegreen

Pretty, floral fruity, happy scent but somehow the dry down gives me headache. I think it's the oakmos, but still a pretty fragrance nonetheless. The longevity is medium but the projection is weak, would be good as a teenager first perfume.

nellyrlight

very different than the EDP..like this one better! long lasting, sophisticated, inoffensive, very pleasant.

Ann92

I got this sample and I could say love the fresh fruity notes initially, then it turned to a gentle type of rose scent that is not too much! I kinda like this maybe will purchase one. It also kind of reminded me about lotions you get from hotels 😅

Melissa_T

This is a very pretty, light, inoffensive, feminine scent!

Nothing complicated or intriguing but still very enjoyable.

Sorta has an expensive shampoo vibe.

Juicy Citrus, Pear, Rose & Jasmine with a touch of soft musk & sandalwood

Very nice & bright scent for spring

spicyramen

Went to try out some Coach perfumes with a friend. We smelled both Coach the Fragrance EDP and the EDT. They smell so different to each other and while she suits the more mature-smelling EDP, I found the EDT suited me more. It's bright, vibrant and fresh but nothing sharp. To be honest, it kind of smells sweet to me as well. Bear in mind that the initial spray is quite strong but the dry down is soft and pretty! I would say the longevity isn't as good as the EDP (duh) and the sillage isn't enormous but it's the perfume that has given me the most compliments so far. So as of now it's my signature scent!

RuthRose

A little too sweet for me at first, but then the floral notes took stage and I really enjoyed wearing it. I'm looking for a daytime office perfume that doesn't offend and this would be a good choice. I liked the apricot notes that came through after a few hours. I think this is a lovely perfume, it didn't blow my mind, but it's pretty and feminine and would work for any age.

yzmo91

Fresh fruity and a little citrusy. Probably a sibling to Dior Addict Eau Fraiche and Versace Bright Chrystal. A few hours in, the citrus fades away and leaves the skin with a floral sour soapy smell. Blends pretty okay with my body chemistry. Not very original nor unique, but it’s quite nice, definitely not a bad fragrance and safe player. However not really something I’ll invest my money in.

tahia_loky

Siento mucho olor a rosas rojas sin embargo es fresco y no empalagoso. Ademas diria que es sofisticado, y no es un aroma para personas de edad como se podria pensar.

brebtalka40

Recently, I’ve been testing this EDT from a sample vial.
It is very feminine and youthful. It has a good projection and creates this sweet-smelling “personal bubble” around you, if you know what I mean. I found the fragrance rather linear but not disappointing. Its fruit & flowery character is very likable.
I am in the 40+ age group and a much younger male colleague just told me that he liked my perfume a lot! If the longevity were not so weak, I’d go and buy a full bottle immediately.

Floffles

This was so much more pleasant than the EDP, as it has much more of the soft fruity notes. There was not an overwhelming amount of floral so that the fruity could shine through. Not too, sweet which is nice. On me the pear/citrus turns to almost an apricot or light peachy scent. Very lovely.

Cute that the sales lady at the Coach store thought it was just a less oil content version of the EDP, same ingredients. I wish that people that sold their products actually knew a little bit about them before trying to mis-inform me all the time. Very frustrating. The internet is at our fingertips with the click of a phone and still no one feels the need or want to apply this to their every day lives. So weird...

alphabetababy

Much prefer this than the other one

magdalena81.1

Fresh, floral and pretty every day scent. It reminds me of DKNY Fresh Blossom. Nice but nothing new. Much lighter than the edp.

LittleJxo

I was at a department store searching for a perfume that I could wear on a daily basis, and a lovely sales assistant guided me to this one. Coach EDT smells fresh, feminine and soft. It's not offensive at all which makes it appropriate for any occassion. I like it!

lmwimsatt

I really really just wanted the parfum

miafran92

I really, really wanted this to work for me. I adored it for a couple hours, and then I got a face full of musk at the end. I always remember my grandmother wearing a strong musk perfume, so that is my association with the scent. (Although I do like a toned down musk and find it rather alluring.)

betty_bounce

"Safe" seems to be the key word with this one. So many of my favourite notes in here, and I do like it. There's nothing I don't like about it, which is rare. But there's nothing standing out as a love. I'd happily wear it, but there are lots of others in my cupboard that I prefer. The grapefruit does give it a nice subtle sharpness in the middle of the soft florals and sweetness. So it gets an extra point from me there.

alabangcute

It's a safe fragrance to gift this Christmas! Lol.

Fleur divina

It’s a nice pretty floral scent which is inoffensive and pleasant. I think it would be good for wearing to office and it smells better than the EDP version but unfortunately it doesn’t last long and sillage is also soft. The rose notes are there but the scent is very light. I don’t think it’s good value for money if you are buying full retail price.

FrkFors

This smelled exactly like I expected it to when I read the notes. It smells like a mix between Cristian Dior J'adore and Escada Joyful. It smells kind of generic, there are a lot of perfumes like this out there. But it's nice. Clean, bright, crisp and pink. Roses and citrus with some nice basenotes to ground it a little. It doesn't project too much, but I'm happy about that. It would be a really nice everyday perfume for when you just want to smell nice!

AmoreProfumi

Enjoy this way more then the EDP.. this is a totally different scent. It's bright, fresh & feminine. Deff. a scent to turn heads and ask wow what are you wearing?!.. I pick up a familiarity & I can get the Blooming Bouquet comparison. I also slightly detect a lil DKNY Fresh Blossom DNA to it too. Very nice if you're into soft pretty scents, suited for spring to early fall. Office friendly but at the same time very nice for a special occasion or just a night on the town. Prob one of my fav. Coach scents to date.

Toom_Snoopy

Wow! This is very lovely. It's very soft, smooth, kind of body lotion scent. Every note blends so smoothly, so that I can't separate rose or grapefruit. To my nose, no citrus or sour notes. This is very feminine and pretty. <3

alexisdavid1892

Tried this on the counter. Nice scent but nothing special. Good for daytime wear but too bad the scent doesn't last really long. Less than an hour on my skin.

ScarlettX

Smells nothing like the EDP. It's not sweet at all. It's freshly bitter white floral and even citrus notes are unpleasant in it. I admit, it's really quite generic and typical smelling, nothing original. The EDP is nicer.
I'm not a fan of this one.

LittleParfumista

Grapefruit, rose and wood. I don't get any of the sweet pear in this one. To me... Very mature scent. More serious than the EDP, minus the longevity. Its a safe office frag missing any kind of uniqueness and playfulness... Not a fan.

Arlene-Beatrix

Nice scent, semi sweet semi sour, but nothing exceptional. Light, summery and unobtrusive.

DarlingNikki

Glad to see the suede note has been removed because I think it combined in a bad way with the pear in the EDP version and turned so sour and musky on my skin. Looking forward to trying the EDT and seeing how much it differs.

EDIT: I finally got a sample of this and like this much better than the EDP, but agree that it isn't anything to get overly excited about. This is a nice office safe scent that comes across slightly sweet/sour with a nice touch of freshness. I get a shampoo/shower gel vibe from this, too (a lot of fragrances seem to fall into that category that I've smelled lately) and while I don't mind it, I do wish the jasmine was more present to give it some creaminess or even the sandalwood to give it a little more 'oomph'. Agree that this a good rose scent to try if roses aren't necessarily your thing as the rose notes here read delicate and clean rather than the heavily permeating tea rose type.

EDIT #2: I see where someone said it reminds them of J'Adore and as this is drying down on me, I can see where that's true! Not that this a dupe by any means, but J'Adore does have a distinct 'golden' sweet/sourness on my skin and when I checked I see that this shares with J'Adore pear, jasmine and rose as notes so perhaps those three are combining to give that sweet/sour vibe on me.

bronni666

already having had samples and disliking the dry down stench of leather in the eau de parfum, i am more than pleasantly surprised at how pretty the eau de toilette is.
once upon a time the eau de toilette was just a weaker version of the eau de parfum but it seems this is not the go anymore. coach edt is a sweet, lovely, girly and vibrant fruity floral fragrance. all this from a sample card and a single squirt on my skin.
therefore, i cannot speak about longevity or sillage but i cant stop smelling my sample card. absolutely gorgeous!
