I would describe this as a mix between Blend Oud "Corona" and HFC "Royal Power". So far I'm pretty underwhelmed by Creed perfumes, which I wouldn't be, if they were 1/3 of the price that they are. :/

ieatmon

It's a safe composition by Creed. The accords stay within their safe zones, nothing experimental. But in the end it creates a pleasant, light and floral fragrance. I think it would be nicer if the violet was replaced by raspberry. That would be a true 'princess' oud.
I will use the sample I got, but I won't be purchasing this fragrance.

Endi1geida

Like all Creed perfumes for women, underwhelming and overpriced...

greenglama

Balsamic unisex mess with no princess and no oud. What a flop

Garofita4

Mine does not last so long on my skin or clothes and the projection is not there. I hope o got the real one. I will get a sample from store and compare the two. I also wear it in the winter and it was raining I will try other seasons also l. Will update

Love the scent. Wish it lasted longer for the price.

Perpetual Collector

I've been wanting to test this for years, and today I finally got the chance. I went thru 4 phases with it, in 12 hours or so. First spray was " OMG, how disappointing, I expected more". Initial dry down was " Ok, it is becoming nice". Deeper dry down " Jesus, this isn't even unisex, how super manly. Princess what?" Last few hours "Gorge dry down, but little to weak, little too late".
Weirdest perfume ever, which is somewhat typical for Creed. I dislike Creed immensely and this is exactly why I don't have any in my vast collection. Not nearly worth it's price.

jjluvsm9

My worst blind buy ever. Thought I’d love it based on the notes, as I love oud and powdery florals. Instead all I get is Creed Aventus. Piercingly sharp bergamot. Feels very masculine. I don’t understand how something with this bottle, name and marketing could smell like this. A real shame but I’ll be selling it on. PM me if interested…

jwelch13

All I smell is sandalwood and it’s sharp and toeing masculine. Where’s the oud ?

LunahGG

Smells like tapioca, like walking into a Boba shop

AhmedElbahja95

I think this is the best 'female' fragrance the house of Creed make. This is a remarkable scent which I absolutely love. I bought this for my wife, but even I would wear it. I love the way Royal Princess Oud by Creed is blended to perfection, and I love how unique it is. Nothing is quite like it. Royal Princess Oud is a strong fragrance and not for the weak hearted, but don't let the powerful opening put you off, the dry down is phenomenal. I personally feel like this fragrance is phenomenal from start to finish. Simply a 10/10.

Annybear

The top notes were pretty unremarkable but the drydown is so unexpectedly beautiful.

Mizi

This was a surprise. I would have never tried it based on the notes, too busy, too opulent, too strong…however once I tried it I realised I liked it. It’s an oud scent but on a fresher side, still strong I would use it evening only, but not overwhelming. Well balanced, slightly fruity, oud is perceptible but not the stinky-animal-fur-kind…beautiful iris in here. I’d say it’s quite classy but with a modern twist which makes it pretty wearable daily but like I said, late afternoon/evening in my opinion. Very, very pleasant and worth trying for sure.

Enrium

Royal Princess Oud is a surprisingly pleasant and well-composed scent, despite the plethora of listed notes that look discordant on paper. Initially fresh and bright, its elegant floral heart is grounded by the titular oud note, here woody and non-skanky, paving the way to a nice amber base featuring a measured use of ambroxan. It isn't too synthetic despite this - it fits in seamlessly, acting as a fixative.

RPO opens with fresh citrus, crisp and tart, paving the way to the light, powdery floral heart. Rose is prominent, complemented beautifully by a cloud of earthy patchouli. Powdery violet follows, and there is a green undertone. Soft, sweet jasmine adds body. There is an underlying muskiness that paves the way to the woody-amber drydown.

The oud note that emerges as it dries down is soft and woody, melding nicely with the sweet, musky amber accord. Some ambroxan is in there, alongside some resinous amber notes. Dry vanilla complements it nicely, adding soft sweetness. It fades to musky vanilla skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

A pleasant, understated feminine scent, RPO is pretty decent overall albeit unmemorable. It is an easy-to-wear transeasonal scent for everyday. Expensive for what it is, but not bad. 3/5.

jessica_chinos

The first hour this perfume was masculine, end of story. It bothered my nose so much. But after 60 min., it started to smell hazelnutty on my skin, which was nice. I like woody perfumes turning nutty, but the first hour was unbearable, I was fighting with myself not to scrub it off!
This is a very Creed like perfume, a mix between fresh and woody, but I think Creed is best at creating memorable and exquisite masculine fragrances, not so much for women (even if Jardin D'Amalfi and White Flowers are ok, they are not WOW, Wind Flowers is boring to me and Aventus For Her leans masculine, as this one).

CSarwar

I may update this review soon as I’m genuinely very on the fence with this one. It’s a strong, long lasting unisex fragrance, that’s powdery and woody. I don’t find it very feminine, I think it would suit a man quite well. I do like the scent, bur I’m not sure it’s for me. I feel it has a slightly aftershave smell in the dry down, and I don’t find it a very cheerful scent. Is that a weird way to describe a perfume? Probably. I think I am going to sell this fragrance, but before I do I’m going to wear it one last time and get a couple of opinions on it. I really don’t know, but I will update this review again soon.

I'm eager to change out my normal, daily, go-to fragrances of oud, woods, resins, patchouli, ambergris, spices, etc with something a more feminine leaning fragrance...something with florals, for sure. Because I have always loved Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie, I decided to try Royal Princess Oud. I historically have liked, or loved many Creed fragrances, so I figured why not?

So, Royal Princess Oud is truly a lovely and beautiful fragrance that wears very true to its listed notes. The opening is spritzy & citrusy Sicilian bergamot along with rose, violet and aldehydes. The rose note is a lovely, small, young rose and the violet is also thin & wispy...and green...and wet. These beautiful opening notes begin a memorable floral experience. IMO, The opening is ethereal and dreamy.

So, some jasmine and vanilla, perhaps a wee-bit of patchouli soon rise making a slight appearance. I'm not 100% sure of how iris smells but I suppose iris is present amongst the (sadly) waning floral bouquet in the lovely opening and now the merging middle. Overall, the mid-notes contribute slightly to the already gorgeous perfume opening.

Finally, I detect more sweet patchouli, which I love when it's well blended with other notes. Then, the Creed signature base notes arrive in all their glory...some benzoin, definite sandalwood and other woods, resins. Given the name of this fragrance, I would expect at some point oud might appear; however I never quite detect anything that smells like
oudwood.

I love what I love but I truly am a niche perfume supporter. I know The House of Creed has been around for centuries. However, in the past it seems their main market was a small-ish group of people who truly appreciated the Creed style of perfume making, ie: the quality of the ingredients, the consistent unique fragrances & the performance of all their items. Not so much any more.

Once Creed began selling in big, upscale department stores, I think their mission drastically changed. I am not rich and buying expensive perfume is a real luxury. So, I value the few full bottles I own and somehow, all the dots need to connect in order for me to purchase perfume upwards of $265-$300 USD for 75 ml of perfume.

I'm sure I can bounce around and find a bottle of RPO at a fair price, which is what I usually do when I purchase such expensive perfume. Yet despite loving this perfume, the fragrance did grown extremely thin after 20-30 minutes. This perfume performs exactly how most Creed fragrances of late perform with my chemistry. Seems like over the years, Creed has changed the quality of their ingredients and their marketing & advertising no longer have that small-time, caring feel. And because Creed perfumes have become coveted by more elite persons, I cannot imagine the perfume ever becoming affordable for those who love the uniqueness of special perfume houses.

So, longevity for me is low at two hours tops. Silage is moderate.

RPO is a gorgeous fragrance, it really is. I just think given its price and performance, there may be another similar fragrance out there that is somewhat more suitable for me, the things I hold dear and my budget.

Germany

One of my favourite perfumes , it’s fresh woodsy , clean , classy inoffensive and light. It smells of woods and violets and citruses. Such a great all year round scent.
It’s airy and yet substantial! However I have 3 bottles and each smells a little different. Batches really vary for this and most creeds. I have one bottle that I am head over heels with. It’s more powdery and has lots of musk and fluff in it !

MatchaCat

I'm getting beautiful complex mixed florals and a very lightweight slightly plasticky oud. This is very similar to Kilian's Musk Oud, but slightly more feminine. Creed has a certain DNA. Their perfumes are clean, crisp, inoffensive, airy and delicate and have many subtle notes that never lean in any particular direction. Smelled this at Bloomingdales. Parfum concentration should be higher though considering the price.

Smell: 8 out of 10
Longevity: 7 out of 10
Leans a bit more feminine

For reference, I'm female.

Rkzz84

I love this so much. It lasted all day. At first It was abit over whelming and I didn’t really like it until it dried down. It smelt so pretty and could also smell it on my clothes the next day so I def would buy this although don’t get too much oud from it

SailorV

If this is for a princess, it's not a 1001 nights fairytale princess, but a modern European princess who wears classic skirt suits and never makes outrageous fashion or perfume choices.
Royal Princess Oud is a pretty, elegant, understated scent of soft suede, violets and iris. The oud is extremely subtle and interwoven with the suede, so there is nothing sharp or animalic in this. The overall impression is cool and powdery with a light underlying warmth and the main accord to my nose is floral. The purple florals of violet and iris stand out, the other flowers are just supporting them, they make the scent a little fresher and creamier. A touch of sandalwood smooths out the base. I don't get much of the vanilla and balsamic notes here.

This would be perfect if you're looking for a feminine and light leather scent but don't like the fruity notes that are often used in this category. You could wear this almost anytime and anywhere without going wrong.
It's a nice fragrance, but a bit too demure and restrained for my personal taste.

PJ_Noir

I tried a sample of this fragrance and thought the opening was heavenly. Unfortunately-- and this may be my particular skin chemistry-- the dry down smelled like straight-up Axe body spray.

Ashmoore84_1

I want to like this soooooo bad, but in the opening there is a scent that smells like sweaty feet, or worn socks...its funky. The funk lasts for about the first 10 mins of wear, then it gets beautiful through the drydown. Royal Princess Oud slightly reminds me of the scent profile of Aventus for Her, but CAFH is waaayyyy better. Performance is eh, the fragrance sits on my skin for about 4-5 hours. With an overspay, the sillage can be experienced by others, I'd give it a 6/10. Projection is strong I'd say 8/10. Overall, Creed Royal Princess Oud is a 7/10.

aspirina

So clean and perfect. I doesn't smell like Oud to me. Maybe it has a microdose of a very clean type? it is a dewy iris, with clean patchouli, rose, sandalwood. Very shy vanilla somewhere in the background.
I don't think this is very feminine, I feel this is 100% unisex.
So clean and pretty. I loved it but unfortunately it becomes a skin scent with little longevity. A sample is enough for me. I can't spend a huge amount of money in such an evanescent perfume.
Actually, the drydown reminds me of Love in White of which I own a full bottle. No need to bother too much thinking of Royal Princess Oud.

ICURN-do perfumes

Smelled like cucumber, lemon and woods on my skin. Nothing special, more like a cheap 99c store perfume!!

Silverquick

The first time I wore this it had just arrived (decant) and it smelt like bug spray.

A few months later wearing on a cold spring day it’s much better. I actually quite like this. I have no Creed fragrances, the price and bullshit put out around the origin stories have been so off putting. This free decant is actually rather nice. Crisp, sharp citrus - the bergamot almost smells like it has some petit grain in the mix too, which works well. A gorgeous transparent violet that is perhaps the loveliest violet note I’ve smelt (for once zero similarities to watermelon lollies/jolly rancher which smells cheap and nauseating) some floral notes blended softly and a clear radiant style that allows the patchouli and woods to round things out. Oddly it has an almost “Chanel-like” style to it. Elegant, understated, luminous and warm…. Lightly sweetened by the resins but still crisp with the citrus.

The scent sits up off your skin and I’ve had a good 6 hours from a single spray in the back of my arm. I keep catching these clear hits of scent.

Definitely worth more wears but very enjoyable.

hewpo

Surprisingly green. Woody. Quite simple and for that I'm admiring it. For women, huh? I need a bottle of this to myself! I think this is a great "signature scent" type of unisex fragrance.

But with that price tag it's always a good idea to sample it first. Also another good idea is to read all the reviews above & below. This is not a sweet fragrance and not for everybody, so keeping hopes realistic will help greatly with this one. 👍

Annapl9202

This perfume is amazing (at least with my skin chemistry) the opening is intense and very sharp but that’s not what this whole perfume is about, the magic happens 20 minutes to an hour in. It turns into this deep, comforting addicting scent. The vanilla and the woods start to come out softening the initial Oudhy citrusy scent and give it an addicting and comforting quality. This perfume makes me feel expensive, chic, and like I just came out of a Turkish hammam and the scent of the oils is clinging to my skin wafting wherever I go. The sillage is moderate to huge depending on the weather and how long you’ve been wearing it. The longetivity is truly eternal. I sprayed it on my wrists four days ago and I still get whiffs whenever I adjust my hair or bring my hand close to my face. The smell is still distinctly there. I’ve noticed some previous reviews are negative and I think it just comes down to skin chemistry, so it’s best to give it a test first. But if you know you smell good in anything amber, especially amber vanilla or amber floral then I think it would be a safe blind buy. In my collection I have only amber perfumes as they work best with my skin chemistry.

grapefruit352

This fragrance smells soo harsh and makes me nausea..sorry, just have to say my experience straight. There is some incredible note in this perfume, which I cant tolerate not a second. Not a safe blind buy.

picatarte

A "Royal Princess" modern floral chypre with a touch of oud instead of the classic patchouli-oakmoss combo among the bottom notes. How to tame oud for Western perfumistas in a beautiful and classy fragrance.

Chanel de Lanvin

Test on a sample basis, but won't buy it.
I don't know where the oud is in this formulation, except in the name for a marketing effect, a little violet just to make forget the rose, the whole of this perfume is very superficial.

theperfumedon222

This one really doesn't get the hype it deserves. It's the closest I've ever gotten to having a signature scent this is really a show stopper fragrance. It smells expensive, classy, powerful, put together without being too cold. It's perfect for year round wear and goes with any outfit. An added bonus that not many people wear this one although I'm not sure why, to me it's perfection

Kaylovely

Santal 33 all day. Love this! Oud isn't beast compared to the creamy sandalwood aspect. Decisions about this or santal 33. I love love in black so I may get both from nose paris seeing it would be cheaper than the 1 bottle of LIB $390.

noseinheaven

Man I am hooked on this perfume. It is so subtle, comforting, delectable and classy. It’s like a super posh thin mint in a forrest with the most expensive aftershave left on you after a passionate embrace.

emilyjxne

I thought I liked oud but it seems I’m quite selective. This evokes memories of getting into my parents car as a kid. The car had leather upholstery when it had been in the sun all day, the smell made me feel sick & headachey. It’s a scrubber for me.

JK731

Citrusy, woody, slightly spicy, powdery. To me, this is a "power" scent, a confident woman who knows herself and is in total control. This has presence, but it's not offensive. The projection and longevity are no joke and it demands attention, yet I still find it safe for the office. This is your "I have an important meeting and I'm going to rock it out" scent; this is 'I'm playing with the big boys, but I'm all woman" scent. It's fresh and warm at the same time--love it!

amandahuang

Judging from its name and the vibrant looking flanker, I had expected some oud-based extravaganza. But surprisingly, this turned out to be a very citrusy and bright floral green, which is pleasant as a spring/summer time fragrance. It opens with a blast of sharp bergamot, then melts into a faint combo of iris vanilla. Maybe it's me, I cannot detect much of oud. I can see why some describe it as 'soapy', which to me is a neutral description (instead of negative). As it is a very bright and vivid scent, but still pretty, albeit not a stunner... I would wear it again as a daytime easy wear, but not the sensual oud I was hoping it to be.

SayakaP

This smells like grandma.

No, not “old lady” in general. It’s my Japanese grandma who passed away almost 30 years ago.
She was of the generation who wore Kimono as daily clothes. She had a beautiful Kimono chest. In it with Kimonos was a pouch that was made with red heavy silk, filled with powdered Kyara (Agarwood). The purpose of the pouch is, of course, to scent your Kimonos.
Every time I sat next to grandma I smelled Kyara.
She was an intelligent, stern sort of woman, rather than a loving nana who spoils you. The scent suited her well.

I am no oud-connoisseur, but Royal Princess Oud unmistakably has that coolness of Kyara I adored.

rosevetiver

I almost blind bought Creed Royal Princess Oud because I was so sure I would love it. Ordered samples from the House of Creed, they are beautifully packaged.

I have allergic rhinitis and this is the first Creed fragrance that made me react -my nose tickles and is running, my eye hurts like the precursor to a headache, and moments away from crying. There is an overwhelming bubbly soap scent stuck in my nose so that's all I can smell. There might be a smokey scent on the skin. It took about an hour to calm down but my left eye still hurts.

On the dry down I'm trying hard to smell something specific but still all I can smell is that soapy scent stuck in my nose and maybe a sillage of ghostly smoke. Its all very faint. The eye/sinus still irritated and over time is getting worse. I'm struggling because I didn't expect this at all. (sample from Creed) 4/10

aqua76239

How people interpret scent is clearly very subjective-kind of like art. I noticed that some describe it as "powdery" but to me its not even remotely so because powdery to ME means it smells like actual powder. This doesn't. It opens up with citrus and violet which is rather unusual combo, rather cool and green and then it immediately goes into woods and oud. This is not heavy oud that could suffocate a horse, this is very light and almost fresh oud. Its not a sweet scent and despite having vanilla in the notes, I can't smell even trace of it. Its all about woods, oud with few flowers thrown in. Very unusual smelling actually(at least to me) and I never smelled anything like this before. Its NOT a safe blind buy. I got a sample of it so I been trying it out and at first I didn't like it but it really grown on me. Thinking of putting it on my want list however, I am not sure that I can justify the price since its only "like" and not "love".

ingeneuxo

-Light, inoffensive oud scent that doesn't make me want to immediately scrub it off.
-The presence of powdery, floral notes in this makes it somewhat bearable for those individuals such as myself, who can't stand oud.
-Not fbw. (-)

I'm commenting on Royal Princess Oud as an innocent bystander. My wife wears this and is currently on her second bottle. I purchased Royal Oud and was given Royal Princess Oud as a sample along with it. My wife is always on the lookout for new fragrances so I was happy to give her the sample of Royal Princess Oud. She's one who becomes anosmic within 10 minutes of spraying just about anything and Royal Princess Oud was no different.

The opening off of her skin and the scent bubble it created was screechy and not to my liking the first time she wore it. We took a drive together within 5 minutes of her applying it and caught wafts of it the entire ride. I could literally smell the transitions it was going through and by the time we got out of my truck (20 minutes later), I was walking behind possibly the best fragrance I've ever smelled off of my wife! Soft/sweet vanilla and patchouli with creamy sandalwood. It was magical!!

I've never wore this myself and don't care to. This is my wife's scent and it drives me crazy whenever she wears it...I never want to lose that feeling!

Cheers!

Naomie

It was Devine on the sample paper, however on my skin it was soooooo bad, I don’t think anything turned out so bad on my skin ever.. I’d definitely suggest to try it on your skin before going for it.... for me this is a NO

Gossie

This opens with a slightly dry oud but the oud is getting disappeared when the smell settles. I can also say that the opening reminds me of Royal oud. The base is more floral, a little bit powdery and sweet. It's could be unisex in my eyes.

Acilista hafif kuru bir oud kokusu geliyor ama koku oturdukca oud siliniyor ve daha cok ciceksi ve biraz pudrali bir havayla birlikte tatli bir koku kaliyor. Hatta acilisi bana Royal oud'u hatirlattigini soyleyebilirim. Bana gore erkek kullanimina da uygun.

style1015

Oh how I wanted to love this scent- the name and the bottle seem right up my alley. I wanted an elegant, classic, sophisticated and luxurious perfume but unfortunately this kind of scent is just not for me. This is very powdery and lipsticky, so if you like those kind of scents, I think you will like it much better than I did. It's floral, feminine, and luxurious but just too powdery for me, which is definitely a preference thing. The oud and wood take a back seat to the florals so if you are looking for a very oudy fragrance you also may be disappointed. It's still a well crafted and lovely fragrance, and I don't dislike it, it's just one I would not pay for.

ShannonIk

While it is somewhat cool in my part of the world, presently, this scent isn't giving me much beyond oud and patchouli. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is certainly unexpected. It's reading as rather medicinal and a bit powdery. I can't say that this is something that I am fond of; but, perhaps in warmer weather the other notes will be more prevalent. I think that it's just a bit . . . .sterile for my present tastes.

Frafleur

I've tried this on two occasions, really far apart so as not to recall what I didn't like the first time around. All I can see when I smell this is a very tall, barrel-chested, British man named John or Paul who wears brown suits the exact color as his hair with only white shirts underneath. Also his pants are a tad bit too short because he's so tall. I can't see anything else but John/Paul. This is what he wears everyday with his brown suits. I have no idea why "Princess" is in the name. Maybe it's supposed to be ironic. I wish I could discover a Creed fragrance to fall in love with, but I've had no luck whatsoever. Not even a strong like.

I've had my eye on a few of Creed's fragrances for a while but wasn't sure if they really merited such elevated prices. I was finally able to find this one and Tabarome at a discounted rate, and have since added them to my collection.

Royal Princess Oud is different and quite lovely. The oud is there, but its woody character is deftly woven into a handful of other more prominent notes: wet, refreshing violet; acidic yet pungent bergamot; and green, leafy patchouli. These are the main players here, and they work together perfectly, cradling the gently medicinal oud in sylvan arms. I also get traces of powdery iris and creamy jasmine, and perhaps a tiny bit of velvety sandalwood, but the rest is too well blended and delicate for me to parse apart. The overall effect is one of bright—almost astringent—greenness on a subtly floral-woody-balsamic backdrop. It's unexpected and dissimilar to anything else I've smelled.

Royal? Undoubtedly. Oud? Yes, but as a muted central player in the overarching performance. Princess? Maybe, but I find this marvelously androgynous, thanks to the woods and patchouli. I can also see this working very well in any season but cold winter, which would stifle its more vivid facets. Slightly more on the casual side. If you're looking for an innovative use of classic notes, look no farther.

Kileyb

The beginning is gorgeous but turns weird really quick. Imo this just is very awkward the beginning like the very beginning is beautiful and then it's so doesn't mix well with the oud Woody scent it just doesn't flow well. It's almost like top base and bottom notes are opposing each other! For this price I expect more but I love a lot of their other perfume so maybe he was just trying something new I mean he's very talented I'm not going to deny that I guess everyone has their own preference.

MrsPoke

I didn't like this perfume at all. It leans masculine in my opinion and the name isn't very fitting. Another blind buy gone wrong.

InfinitEHorizoN

I feel sorry for some people that got a bad batch/sample/bottle. Two sprays from my bottle last on my arm for 14 hours, you can easily smell oud and roses, it is one of my all-time favourite fragrances and maybe the most favourite from Creed (together with Pure White Cologne, of course, haha). Oh, did I mention that I am a gentleman? So yes, I would think Creed should rename this fragrance to Creed Royal Prince's Oud? I would take this fragrance instead of Royal Oud any day of the year...

We're just experiencing a heat wave in the UK and this juice just loves the heat... In 30 degree C weather, Royal Princess Oud pumps out roses... Beautiful big wet luscious tea roses, refined, expensive roses, nothing screechy nor synthetic here, it truly feels like you're bathing in English roses on a hot summers day at 4pm... Yummy.

Fluffyandpuffy

Luxurious, could be unisex, I get some leather in this. Lasts long. Feels like dressing up to go out , classy.

This is a great fragrance for layering. It softens Aventus For Her, adds depth and floral hints to musky scents (I particularly like it with Narciso in the white cube) and gives more dimension to sweet vanilla or caramel fragrances. It shines for me in winter - not sure how it will work in summer humidity.

And I don't get any oud from this either.

NickZee

I do get violet, but the rest of the note pyramid seems way off. This is violet, lots of grapefruit, musk, ambergris, some rose and jasmine and ambroxan. Very fresh and sheer and long lasting. A compliment getter for my wife. Absolutely no oud, nor even any middle eastern influence.

Becw08

This perfume baffles me!

Oud???? Where?????

Patchouli and woods?? Where??

It smells like a generic rose based scent to me!

Badly misnamed!

bend_mama

I so so so wanted to love this. Having wanted a bottle of Creed perfume for years, after trying numerous Creed samples and visiting several of their boutiques, I settled on Royal Princess Oud. Unfortunately, my overall conclusion is: this is not for me. Like other reviewers this could be is Aventus’ sister. It opens up more floral (think violet and iris) than citrus, then drys into a weird soapy/detergent scent, and finally settles into a clingy lingering sour note which to my nose, smells like ammonia. I think it’s the sandalwood. As for other notes, I too, don’t get any oud, patchouli or styrax (notes I usually love). My signature fragrance is Prada Amber, and I was looking for a replacement, hoping RPO would fit the bill. On a positive note, I do like its uniqueness, but it just doesn’t work for me. Buy a sample before spending $400.00 on this stuff.

mevans

I like Royal Princess Oud for it's uniqueness. This is not mainstream and not meant to be. Unless you have a particularly open mind for fragrances, you should get a tester first. It's not the oud, there's nothing overwhelming there. It's just this is a different fragrance and it can smell different on a strip than on skin. Green, wood and spiciness are prominent at first and then the florals and vanilla develop. I get no fruitiness here. I found mine at Winners with a red $60 sticker on it. It was probably on clearance because it comes in a very plain unimpressive looking white box and no one had known what it was they were looking at. My good fortune. This could easily be unisex as is the case with many Creeds. Sillage is average but longevity is loooong, it'll be there when you wake up.

Royal "Princess" Oud? Really?? I'm a man and I'd wear this one myself any day! Beautiful fragrance. The oud is clean and unlike others, I feel it's prominent, but more akin to the oud of TF Oud Wood and Versace Oud Oriental as opposed to the Montales and Manceras. Patchouli is there front and center to blend the high and low tones of this fragrance, and I'm mostly getting violet, patchouli and oud, but the rose, iris, and vanilla are all supporting the violet to give it a very warm feel. The red in the color of the bottle is very fitting. Very unisex, and one of the best Creed scents I've laid my nostrils upon.

Not sure why 5 people voted that this smells like Aventus... I mean, that's a joke, right? I hope you're joking... it does remind me of Versace Oud Oriental, however.

I have finally met the Royal Princess Oud!!
The oud is prominent in this fragrance, beautifully surrounded by violet, rose, green stems and a smoky base.
So, who is this mystery royal princess and how would she look?..
She is gorgeous and fresh regardless of her age, confident in any clothes, any season, any occasion. She can enjoy morning sun riding a horse on a way back to her castle, wearing jeans and leather jacket riding a bike.. she makes heads turn around walking in a silk cocktail dress at an evening party.. She feels good and makes others happy. She does not talk loud but when she does speak everyone listens. She is authentic, genuine and reliable. I am happy I have met her. We are going to be good friends!

چه قدر خوش بو است این ادوکلن.این رو برای خانومم خریدم اما خودم بیشتر استفاده می کنم.به نظر من كاملا يوني است.

Tazahr

Beautiful fragrance from creed. Very unisex.

Fruity and fresh tops and the jasmine rose patchouli accords makes it very similar to Aventus.

No oud is here by the way

Shanel2448

Oh this juice is fantastic! Very clean smelling. Office friendly , Doesn’t induce scent sensitive headaches! I’m very scent sensitive and perfumes that are loud and in your face like like Calvin Klein Eternity gives me a migraine. When I first discovered Oud I was afraid to even try it because I knew it would make me sick and give me a headache, But it didn’t ! The Oud in this is very soft perfect for a woman! Perfect for any occasion!

damienthoresson

This really does smell like Aventus. How absolutely bonkers. Oud? Not really. Violets? Sure, okay. Aventus? Totally. Bizarre as heck. One really can't say that this doesn't have Creed DNA when it's definitely almost 60% identical to another one by them. Berries, bergamot, sandalwood & violets.
I think I like this one more, though. I don't really like Aventus. It works really well as a casual fragrance. Kind of a love.

Michelle12345678

An oud for oud-haters. I can barely smell any oud in this. I'm not crazy about violets, but violets are a main feature. I like this better than Aventus for Her, and much better than Silver Mountain Water. Still feel like I haven't found my perfect Creed. I need to do more testing.

bugsyiii

Just purchased an authentic 1.0oz tester bottle of this for my wife ($55), and she is really enjoying this! What a fragrance!! She mention that the oud stands out very prominently amidst the florals, but nice! Not to mention, I am over the moon in love with her in this....

Upon first sniff you get a dark, yet spicy floral opening. With the spice mix, oud is very present but not dominate. Together with the florals, these really propel this fragrance onward with a nice spice laden floral bomb.

A nice fragrance to have!

vlady580

Lovely, long lasting fragrance. Reminds me of Montale's Aoud Samarkand. Great for work or an evening out.

lbakhtiari

When I wear this perfume, It brings me to a forest, and it gives me a peaceful sense.
I love all notes, specially its patchouli note.
It has a perfect longevity.
I love it.

yantestrs

Wow I like this. The first sprays reminded me of Christmas spices. It's raspy and woody floral. I think I can even smell the wood. Great blind buy based on notes and reviews.

larita91

A very well-balanced, sophisticated, bitter, woody, dry, powdery, almost unisex scent, which has the right amount of feminine vibes to smell absolutely stunning on women. It is fresh, clean, a little bit flowery-sweet, and really is an oud scent for those who doesn't like ouds, because I don't get any oud at all.

WildDove

Royal Princess Oud is a crystal-clean light floral-musk with patchouli and a hint of oud. Classy and exquisite. Like Creed's Royal Oud, this is "an oud for people who don't like oud." These two are my favorite Creeds. And I don't like oud. 10/10

shiva-woman

To me this is a light, green bergamot, candied violet, rose, iris predominant scent. I don’t get any real oudh in this at all. I don’t even get synth oudh.
It has a slight LOTV scent to me rather than Jasmine. I actually am not a huge fan of Jasmine in scents (love it in real life. And I really don’t get any Jasmine here, but just a hint of vanilla which adds to the candied violet feel. The woods, the sandalwood, etc—just not there much to my nose until the drydown. There is, thankfully, some patch, so if you don’t like patch, beware. I love it, and this is just the merest pinch. Overall this is a fresh, clean spring-summer scent. Not my favorite, but it doesn’t reallly fit my profile. Was really hoping for some Oudh!

eholley485

They should've made this one a unisex frag. Men can pull this one off. Men can also wear lady Aventus too. Ijs.

gorincioii

It smells to me like Aventus for women :) Very good! 8/10

kittymeow84

I dunno guys...on one hand this is lovely and delicate - very much iris, wet cut flowers and very light woods. Super for spring...

On the other hand, is it just a meh dishwashing detergent??

This is my first Creed that I've sampled.....might update later to see if it wins me over.

_christine_

Set aside your expectations of what oud should smell like. Imagine the oud that a very restrained English princess would pick. That's where Creed takes me with this one.

The oud is there, but softened by birch as pravda48 notes in her review. This has a strong birchy, wintergreen that freshens the entire composition. There is also a clean floral note - violets and iris and a bit of indole-free jasmine. Based on the notes votes, I don't get nearly as much patchouli as others do.

I wear this infrequently, but I do enjoy it.

BTW, if you care about packaging, I think the 2.5 ounce pink bottle is a pretty tacky looking for such a refined fragrance. I love the pink button on the cap, but the bottle was just not for me. I went with the 1 ounce just to get a better looking bottle.

SuzanneS

Im a bit perplexed. Some say they can smell the oud and others cant in the reviewss. This opens with a big note of tangy medicinal oud and a light floral around it. Its a pop version of the traditional arabian ouds. It runs too sour with my chemistry for a comfortable wearing. Kudos to those that can make it work.

Soofiya

Royal princess oud is different with majority of oud perfumes,it doesn't have an arabic vibe and isn't heavy.as an oud-hater I'm sensitive even to slightest amounts of oud so this must have small doses of oud because if I didn't know there should be oud in it,I'd never think of oud just by smelling it.but I'd think of violet and bergamot when first sprayed and then jasmine, patchouli, white musk, woods and powdery flowers as it dries down
I don't like it's opening which lasts for half an hour, not that it's bad, just I don't like this type of violet but as it dries down I start to like it.on my skin it's as if a violet-woody scent is layered by chanel chance edp!well I agree it has some similarities to aventus but not too much,I also agree it can pass as unisex but it leans more towards feminity
I expected to hate a perfume with this order of notes but I don't.I don't really like it either but can understand why people with a different taste would love it.it can be pretty versatile as it has a slight formal vibe and is at the same time safe.I think spring and fall are best seasons for it.longevity is good, sillage is moderate.give it a try if you like fresh, powdery florals in a warm, woody base

Only Creed would think to make oud delicate fresh and feminine, I adore most of the ouds by creed and dislike most other oud perfumes . The sweet and powdery violet is interesting and unexpected to pair with oud and the Jasmine and vanilla add femininity . Although I would love to smell this on a guy also. My husband loves this on me and I will have to spray him with this soon !!! I enjoy violet notes on men and this would be fresh and sexy on a guy. The iris adds an elegant touch. It smells sophisticated however Royal Princess Oud can be worn with jeans or dressed up, really to any occasion.
It smells soft ,clean and fresh of white musk and violets with woods and iris it's just so fresh and delicious at the same time. A skin scent, very natural smelling like raw materials , high quality !
It reminds me very much of Aventus and even more so of Royal Oud ( one of the best male perfumes made in my opinion ) However this is more feminine and delicate without smoke or too much of anything , just perfect !
A master piece !

The review by greenpepper is great !!!

LemiLara

Adore this!
Bought a bottle and wore it exclusively until it finished. Now need to save up to pay for another!
I think for the (ridiculous) price sillage and longevity could be better! Creed need to up their game on those two counts

amirali0072000

Some one here mentioned its Aventus's sister; I agree.Smaller nicer more delicate and less loud sister.
This is also smoky, woody, classy and year round.Even less sweet.
A lovely sister any brother wishes.
Great lasting.

I bought this for my wife and it is just flat out amazing. It has this tangy, slightly medicinal oud note that is to die for, covered in a fruity floral mix that swirls all around it. At times more fruity, other times more floral, then woody, the notes have this perfect space between them, allowing for different blends to come and go. For a Creed, this has amazing projection and longevity. Lasts all day easily, and starts off with literally room filling projection for the first hour. It settles down to arms length and pretty much stays there consistently. It only lists bergamot, but there is a definite fruity layer (smells kind of like peach): I don't know what the source of it is. The florals are lush and sensual. Overall the fragrance has a bold, confident vibe to it, very spirited. Great presentation with an eye catching bottle, one of the best I've seen and it matches the scent perfectly. Creed absolutely nailed this one; the whole effort is just inspired.
10/10.

pravda48

BIRCH. Where is it in the note pyramid? To my nose it is so obviously the backbone of this fragrance and is the main similarity to its smelling like "Aventus' sister." Very accurate, except this is that freshly-cut fragrant woody goodness made brighter with an almost juicy fresh blend of vibrant, wet florals.

The violet is not powdery to me, in fact it's almost a hybrid between violet flower vs violet leaf... but not quite either of the 2 as I've smelled before (the only similar violet note I can recall is from CB I Hate Perfume's Violet Empire, before which I thought I hated the note altogether due to super synthetic concoctions until that point). So in sum, it's gorgeous here, none of the too common powder bomb 'violet' face dusting powders.

Elegantly feminine, don't let 'princess' in the name fool you. The rose and jasmine are there too, also wet and gleaming and balancing the woodiness perfectly. A touch of bergamot, a pinch of patchouli - Voila! A totally inviting feminine scent with everything I loved about Aventus' fresh fruitiness, but preferred on my man.

As an oud lover & styrax hater, I get neither of these notes, though I can fool myself into thinking I get a touch of oud from time to time due to the intense 'birch' note I perceive. Lovely.

lovescents999

Creed Royal Princess Oud - I was so excited and full of high expectations to finally get my hands on this beautiful bottle. The juice though, even after reading gazillions of reviews, was not what I imagined to be. It's nice and pleasant. Yes, that's it. Fresh cut roses, mixed with lots of violets, the smell of juicy flower stems being most prominent, surprised me because I was expecting something opposite--deep rose and patchouli infused scent, enriched with oud. But where is the oud? Definitely not in this creation. These promised notes didn't deliver for me: bergamot, rose and violet, jasmine, vanilla absolute, patchouli and tuscan iris, siam benzoin, sandalwood, styrax and agarwood (oud), especially in the almost non-existent dry down. Yes, it didn't go that far before the scent was gone, 30 minutes maximum. I sprayed in my hair and in my clothing in case if it was my skin that played tricks with me. Very low sillage in the first 10-15 minutes. Overall, it's a pretty but shy spring/summer scent that needs to be reapplied often.

I bought this perfume in search of a new signature scent. Not sure it will make signature scent status but I do like it. It is different, not overly complex yet certainly sophisticated. The woody/balsamic is noticeable but not too strong. Good balance of floral, not too sharp or overpowering. A warm and full bodied perfume when you want to make a statement. Nice staying power for daytime wear but would also work at night. Love the powdery component.

claudia0219

I find this lovely for a woman, a classy powdery woody floral fruity. It is sexy, flirtatious and inviting on the skin. No teenage fruity here...grown up. Sophisticated yet fun and flirty. On me the oud is nowhere to be found and I am fine with that as Oud an I do not see eye to eye.

weaselize

royal princess...
The pink bottle with it's golden cap represents to me a cheap toy with references to barbie girl.
The juice inside isn't any better. Actually it's quite the opposite. It references to grandma,s closet.
I blindly ordered a sample for my lady because some say it is a female version of aventus. Since she can appreciate something fresh fruity with a touch of flowers and maybe a little musky i thought i was going to surprise her with a sample.
What was i wrong or maybe mislead by the reviews.
This is nothing what i was hoping and i didn't even bother to handing it over.
I get a smokey oud with some dusty grandma flowers.
It smells like mothballs. Something without inspiration and it almost seems like a quick release.
One to discontinue as fast as possible

I sampled Royal Princess Oud Creed for women about 3 hours ago.
At first, it smelled mesmerizing. The opening notes hit you with confidence like a star opening a show. It smells heavy and sexy and fresh at the same time... I got mostly patchouli, violet, bergamot and iris. It smelled somewhat original. Feminine, and attraction grabbing definitely comes to mind too.
An hour later it dried down to mostly iris and vanilla and I felt a bit disappointed though. I can't judge the longevity or projection yet.
I want to smell it again tomorrow, because it's too soon to say. Let me get back to you on this one.

When I tried Royal Princess Oud I was thrilled by the way this fragrance resembles Aventus - in a feminine way.
It gives me the same feeling, the same excitement!

A bouquet of fruit and floral accords kicks off the hilariously named Royal Princess Oud (although I’d contend the name’s no more ridiculous than others in the line). These accords are well done — pastel in hue, but in not desaturated in a cliche wedding photography way. Vague berries merge with green stems, rose-ish things, jasmine, violets, all pounded into impressively compact arrangement. A marginal vanilla and a touch of spice forms the warp through which the florals are woven, and the final effect is subdued, refined, and genderless. There’s a youthful freshness to it, but the lack of ostentation lends it classical appeal as well. (I personally found it to have more of a melancholic, autumnal vibe than that of a crisp spring or summer scent due to its more meditative nature. Also, at moments, it reminded me of the vanillic, semi-tropical fruit effect of CK’s Obsession Night.)

As with Royal Oud, there’s not a lick of oud in it. Instead, there’s a soft cedar and musk base that, amusingly, smells a bit like the base from Aventus. In fact, the longer it was on my skin, the more connections to Aventus I made. It shares that same pseudo-musky glob that Aventus has, wavering between a spa-like smell and chalky deodorant. Although I struggled to shake the association, the base is perfectly functional and supports the opening for a good amount of time before taking the wheel. Obviously the name will have Creed-Bros clutching their pearls, but they’d be well-advised to give this one a spin (after all, there are other perfumes in the “masculine” line-up that are just as floral if not more so.) While the name suggests something for a insufferable teen, that’s not what you get at all. It’s really more of a simple, yet well-done woody floral. Nothing particularly revolutionary, but there’s nothing gaudy or obnoxious either; it’s Creed pulling their usual department store-but-better move to produce a light yet enduring violet and wood perfume that’s a touch tropical and pleasant from start to finish. With that said, the price is extortionate for what is ultimately designer+, but I’m guessing it’ll be at the discounters in under a year.

sotiriosc

Great fragrance its very different than most female fragrances available. What is great is that it is a parfume that can be used by a young lady or by a mature women. Its always changing and I Commend creed for their new musc in this fragrance. YOU NAILED IT. If your reading this make something for men with this musc. It is ultra powder, dry so subtle yet fills rooms. Its insanely good. Trust me.

mister_chaz

Modern woody floral, which is more on the delicate side. Overall, smells powdery masculine; I think it could be unisex. Despite the oud note, it doesn't smell middle eastern in any way, but rather a western-style scent. Not too bad, but the price tag bites.

Marino419

I sampled this stuff and absolutely love it. It is light, but still noticeable. Dare I even say unisex!?!?!?!?

jsalviat1

I obtained a sample of this the week before it was released. I agree with previous commenter's predictions that this will be a big seller. It's a powdery, floral oud. I can definitely smell the oud, but only on the drydown. The use of sandlewood smooths over the "edges" of the oud, making it more delicate, warm and subtle. If the rose top note were not present, I would call this a definite unisex frag. but the rose here is very soft and powdery, (more European style, less Persian.) I would call Royal Princess a somewhat "unbalanced" frag. in that the heart and Basenotes are much more memorable than any of the safe and kind of boring topnotes. I still really like it though. It's a distinctive scent for a younger woman with a sense of gravitas and self assuredness.

RoyalPerez516

Oh this one is going to be a SUPER smash hit in fragcomm.

This one is fruity, yet has a slight lemony/citrus accord on the top. I don't get tons of oud, though I do pick it out during the heart but it is definitely not in the main stage.

I get a bit of a coconut/lemon vibe at the top, then in the heart I get lots of jasmine and the dry-down it turns into a beautiful soft sandalwood/styrax/patchouili type smell. It is beautiful!

10/10 for a beautiful, spring frag. It is a feel good fragrance for sure! Well done Creed!

Fiffi_d

If you can smell a colour this is how I imagine red would smell like. On that note Creed got it right.

“After seeing the sketches for the first time, I could picture the scent in my mind,” shares Olivier Creed, Sixth Generation Master Perfumer at The House of Creed. “Particularly the red garments that graced the pages of these archival books struck me as incredibly empowering and beautiful for all women, not just of that time period. I knew Oud – a historical ingredient that is both expensive and rare – would be befitting for this magical accord.”

However, that's where I have to part company with the master perfumer. Instead of reminding me of a historical princess, it gave me a heady note of a hot summer night, and dancing under the skies to Chris de Burgh's Lady in Red. Yes, for me it's very much a modern day "royal" woman, powerful and sophisticated, rather than a historical one perhaps waltzing In an opulent castle. .

The top notes are Sicilian Bergamot, Rose and Violet. The Rose and Violet blends beautifully and it just envelops you. The middle notes are patchouli, iris, jasmine and vanilla. But it's the base note benzoin, sandalwood and oud that lingers and lingers on. It's intoxicating and powerful. It's fruity and full bodied. It's warm and rich. And while Rose is the top note I can still get a very subtle hint hours later. Not just any rose. But a right royal red rose. Just in the background. Almost 12 hours later I can still smell the perfume on my skin.

It's an Oud for a woman in her prime. A woman who knows her mind. A woman who can wear a red, silky gown and glide across the dance floor with confidence.

Evamomma

How did you try this? I cannot even find it on the Creed Boutique website. Please do tell!

Mak90

Smells fantastic, very fruity, not a harsh oud at all its an oud women can pull off!
