Wood for Her by DSQUARED² is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Wood for Her was launched in 2018. Top notes are Raspberry Leaf, Magnolia, Mandarin Orange and Lily-of-the-Valley; middle notes are Osmanthus and Jasmine; base notes are White Woods, Ambroxan and Cedar.

"Wood is a project designed around the characteristics of wood – strong and sturdy, with a complex structure that makes it unique and inimitable."

The fragrance pair is made for contemporary DSQUARED2 men and women, imagined as sensual and confident, who live on passions, good vibes and an impulse towards what’s new.

"A contemporary composition, vibrant and ultra-feminine. Wood, the new women’s fragrance by Dsquared2, is made of mandarin from Sicily and raspberry leaf, expressing joy and vivacity, combined with lily of the valley and magnolia, which add fresh, ethereal notes. The infusion of osmanthus and jasmine, precious and seductive ingredients, reveal an intense femininity. Bright notes of white woods and cedar, along with the depth of ambrox, mark a perfume with an unmistakable character."

The linear, clear glass bottles are topped with unique caps made of wood which are created piece by piece. The fragrances are available in Eau de Toilette concentration, with the accompanying line of body care products.

super Y2K, i can imagine someone dowsing themselves in this before going to a rave. Still a very sexy but it comes off super powdery if you are headache prone this one will for sure trigger that. The longevity is insane you will smell like this for DAYSSS

amnebe

With a name like Wood, you expect this fragrance to smell at least a little wood. Nope. This is just a generic floral, jasmine-heavy mess with a teeny hint of synthetic raspberry. So boring. I tried scrubbing it off all sorts of ways, but it just wants to stay. It's so generic that I'm not sure why anyone would remember they owned it and wear it more than once. Then again, I've found that I really hate jasmine most of the time, so I might be a little prejudiced.

Jadelynn

I get the VS Bombshell comparisons. This is like a greener, woodier version, like if they came out with Bombshell Christmas Tree. I didn't read any reviews before I tried this as it was a sample vial I received, and as soon as I put it on I immediately thought it smelled like Bombshell.

Leolia

Smells cheap and synthetic like all those Juicy Couture perfumes.

Sally_pita^^

They named it "Wood for Her" , but where is the wood ??
There is no wood here.... at least not my nose and I think same for many others ... but you can smell a lot of ambroxan, which will stay there forever.

This fragrance is very nice in hot weather when you want to refresh yourself and smell like, you took a shower 5 minutes ago and now you are sooo clean. It's very fruity, flowery, citrusy and fresh ...but no woody at all.

It's safe blind buy perfume, but it smells cheap, nothing special...there are bunch of perfumes like this with even cheaper price....so I will not recommend it.

Specially, what I dislike the most is ...after a little overspraying I feel like, someone put a soap in my mouth. yakk !!!

longevity is around 4 hr.. sometimes less, sometimes more...depends on weather and other circumstances.
silage is weak...
totally this perfume in general is a weak.
Original name : wash your mouth with a soap.

Blind test thoughts:
Fresh aquatic and citrusy scent. Quite generic with soapy musky base and a touch of fruity sweetness (rhubarb?). Don’t get much “wood”.

I grabbed at Shoppers Drug Mart for $21.99. I wouldn't personally spend more than that for this fragrance. It's very pretty, light, and refreshing. The scent starts off very sweet and it smells familiar. It's not unique or exciting, but it's a very safe blind buy. This is something you could easily wear daily. It would also work as an intro fragrance for a young individual just starting their feagrance journey. I like it well enough to use it throughout the day, it's a nice pick me up.

Tropical "PINK" Southern Magnolia...

Opens with a fruity-floral burst with tropical, citrus & white-floral nuances that altogether evoke Southern Magnolia. That all deepens into the ormanthus-jasmine heart with the soft creamy-peach facets of osmanthus continuing the impression of magnolia. The base of white-woods, ambroxan & cedar supports the florals and brings an additional clean & faintly soapy nuance, but a few hours into the drydown the ambroxan note is evident on the skin. There's a vague shampoo vibe in the background that tilts the whole concoction slightly pink, but this isn't a rose fragrance. This is perfect for a hot summer day, with average or slightly above average performance. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

scnova

Not woody when you first put it on. Leads with a super citrusy/fruity kick. As it wears I get whiffs of nag champa which I think must come from the jasmine and cedar. This is my go-to for daily wear as it complements my lemongrass body soap!

swtclmntn

I agree that this isn't really woody, it's a fresh fruity scent. It's not bad, I don't actively dislike it, but it's not what I was expecting based on the description. Got a little bottle as a freebie so no harm done.

To my nose, especially when it's just been applied, it smells exactly like an Impulse body spray that I used to smell everywhere when I was a young teen. I don't know the name, but it came in a pink bottle.

Cetra

This was a pleasent surprise! I was expecting heavy wood, but instead it was sweet and fresh.

bouticelliangel

I like this perfume. Sweet and woody.

SaraZigova

No wood detected

This is absolutely charming! Quite different from bright crystal. This is very soft but something makes it seem creamy and quite comforting. I don't get anything woody. So happy I tried this- Definitely buying a full bottle!

salle karpe

I bought this on offer yesterday and I really like it. It immediately reminded me of Versace Bright Crystal but it’s softer, creamier and smells less synthetic. Not very strong and need to reapply more often but perfect for everyday wear. Spray it into E45 body lotion in your hand and then apply to body, it enhances the scent’s durability.

justfloral

powder laundry detergent + mandarin + raspberry

DariaFrancesca74

Fresh adolescent fragrance, a riot of sour, acidic notes, with citrus accents of juste pulvérisé, widely fruity in its total evolution. I do not appreciate the woodiness of the dry down, it remains fresh, fruity, affected by a young girl in search of herself, and lost woodiness…

CamillaAre

I don´t really get the name because wood is not very prominent. When it gets to the dry down it stays close to the skin and its some wood in there for sure, but the overall impression is the citrus/orange. The raspberry is just in the opening for like 10-15 minutes. The lily of the valley is not very loud here, and that’s a good thing for me.

This perfume is summer fresh, like you´re just got out of the shower and smell shampoo. But other than that, it´s not very special. There are many perfumes similar to this in the same category.

I think this would be a safe blind buy if you like citrus notes that are not too sharp and need a summer freshy.

Laralaritaaa

A sales lady gave me a paper strip sprayed with this perfume and I immediately bought it. Something that I usually DON'T do. I fell in love with it, partly because it reminds me of a perfume my mom gave me when I was at junior high school.

Let me started of saying, for the price, you get an amazing product. Heavy and sturdy bottle with a pretty pink design, magnetic cap! and a good quality juice. I bought the set and the pink box is super pretty, however the lotion is meh and doesn't really smell like the perfume itself, anyways 💀

This is a sweet citrusy! It opens mainly with strawberry and mandarin, but this combination smells like grapefruit to my nose. The grapefruit is present until the end. Eventually you get some florals and a very defined woody fase that will give deph and longevity to the fragrance. It's very linear imo. It isn't a complicated smell, actually, it's rather safe but it genuinely smells delicious to me. Crisp, clean, slightly sweet and pink!

Performance is very nice for an EDT! Especially sillage. Safe blind buy or gift for women for every age especially younger ones. Office and classroom friendly and a great option for hot weather! Looove

loversandxo

VS Bombshell Extrait version. Stronger and longer lasting - great shampooey raspberry ‘clean’ scent.

rostov14

Not musky, not sexy, not spicy enough and yet smooth, soft, slightly sweet and woody. Such a pleasant perfume, so comfortable to wear like your favourite sweatshirt with a lovely pastel floral print : casual with a twist. All your other flashy fashionable clothes needs a special occasion to put it on to impress, but this one is definitely more wearable: feminine, subtle and intelligent with a lot of room for manoeuvre that I like, indeed. Warm, cozy and reassuring. Friendly hug always.

ezpz

I picked this up as a blind buy and the first few times all I got was sharp woods. I tried it again today and still got that, but finally got the fruit in the die down. I feel like on my skin the scent pyramid is flipped on this. I get the base notes first, then some odd florals, then finally all the fruit. It is now after an hour that I see why this is described as a fruity fragrance and there is something that reminds me of L'Imperatrice in the base. I wish the LOTV spoke more.

I feel that this is not as "girly" as most others seem to feel. To me, it could almost be unisex, since the citrus woody notes are what I smell first and loudest. I see people wearing this in jeans and a crisp white shirt or athletic apparel, something casual.

CoCo_05

It's sweet, fresh but it's just smell cheap for me..It gives me a vibe of a young girl..not of a woman who really know what she wants.. Definitely not my type of fragrance, but if you like something simple and not expensive I guess is ok.

twiztidladii

Sweet woody. Terrible longevity but has good silage tho. I prefer Red Wood to this one.

SummerRose

Cute, girly scent which may be spring/summer appropriate. Great for out of the shower and chilling. I get mainly the raspberry, a hint of citrus, a tad of florals and a slight woody base. It has poor sillage and longevity. I get about 1 hour on my skin then it disappears. You will need to keep topping up. I wouldn't pay full price for this. I got mine in a clearance sale.
On the plus side, my husband loves it on me. I just wish it lasted longer. The closest fragrance in my collection which has a similar vibe to this perfume is Versace Bright Crystal EDT which I think is better in terms of scent profile, sillage and longevity.. I won't say they smell alike but if you are looking for that very girly, cute scent you may prefer the Versace option.

Petrelli

Simple, fresh, clean - do not get the name of the fragrance, as I do not smell any wood. It is true that it is kinda generic, but it is still pretty and could even be a compliment getter, if it mixes well with your chemistry. :)

MrsMRe

Agree with all of the reviews that say that it smells like a fruity shampoo--zero woods. Raspberry fans will love this. Sadly, I am not one of them.

cookygirl

My daughter purchased a fragrance called 'Flipped' at the Miniso chain of stores about two years ago and this is very strongly reminiscent of that scent. Also very similar to Incanto Shine. It's nice overall. Very fruity-shampooey and very strong! The raspberry certainly shines in this one. It could be woodier though, especially given that it's called 'Wood'.

AnitaHendricks

This is just a generic, pretty, girly scent! The raspberry and woody notes stand out the most to me.

Spencemonster

So people saying this reminds them of Bombshell by VS, yeah I can see that..but. Not the Original Bombshell. Bombshell has a smelly citrus green starchy note which is why I cannot stand Bombshell. This is a fruity sweet juicy scent. If anything this is what Bombshell Intense is like, more cherry, raspberry, juicy. Tis deff a fruity sour tart scent because of the woody. It's a better projection and sexxier dry down than Bombshell because it doesn't have those horrible green starchy notes that Bombshell has. TBH this is better than Bombshell (just original bombshell, cause there are FAR better bombshell's out there). This is also a very nice nice nice bottle. Metallic cap, that has a magnet seal closure and the wood grain. Very very nice.

rainydays

Blind buy since I love she wood-- this bears no resemblance, but that's okay. I agree with the other reviews that called it expensive shampoo. It's a strong, juicy raspberry floral with no sugary notes (but it isn't powdery, either). I'm actually really happy I got this for days I want something easy to wear.

Skinterpreter

To me, this is a fruity(raspberry)-floral, slightly woody scent, with longevity and sillage quite good for an EdT (I had people noticing that I was wearing it). In my opinion, it's a very neutral, spring/summer scent, not a very sweet one.
I believe you can't go wrong with this one. I call it "neutral" because in my collection, most of the scents are more on the "heavier/pungent" side and this fragrance is exactly that one piece that was missing there - something simple and neutral for a daily wear, so I'm glad I was gifted this. :) however, when I was wearing it one day, my mom asked me actually what is that for a heavy fragrance I was wearing... So, to me it may be neutral, but every nose is different, after all. 👃😊

kasey_skywalker

I got this for $7 at Ross and worth! It does smell like Bombshell’s slightly older sister and it has better performance than bombshell does on my skin. I like it. Easy to throw on for whatever

krayolakolorz

I will have to agree with most of the reviews, I LOVE Bombshell (original), and this smells just like it. However I think the "woody" element is a bit deeper. Im going to layer these together, and see how long the scent lasts. Love this one!

Delosisles

Bought for my girlfriend. I really enjoy this fragrance. The raspberry is not overdone. More soapy fresh floral with a bit of depth. Great blind purchase. I have the men’s version.

ViridianSister

I didn't listen... EXACTLY. Like Bombshell.

greenviolets

This fragrance is a bit more feminine than I usually wear but it was only $21 at Marshalls & I've been looking for a fresh spring scent apart from my neroli and white flower dominated choices for warmer weather. The beginning might be off-putting because it gives the note of freshly shampooed hair and it feels like it will stay there. To me this is can be modern update of Vera Wang Princess with less musk. There's a good amount of Gap Heaven that washes over me in a beautiful wave of nostalgia and it becomes more pronounced on the dry down. Simple, yet complex. Office appropriate, youthful, attractive. I love the ambroxan-cedar base.

herzling

Feminine, fresh, bright. Suitable for everyday wear. Unique in its own way. P.S. Not a so called “girly” scent, it’s a more “mature” fragrance, made up of contradictions.

Mabrooq

I love it. It does smell like an "expensive" shampoo, but who wouldn't want that? Better to smell like a nice shampoo and clean instead of dirty smell.😕

Afryka

I would like to know which shampoo do you have in mind when you comment it smells like it. I like Wood, it is easy to wear, inoffensive and feminine. Wood is not woody, but nice.

Mlmem

If you want to smell like fruity drugstore shampoo this is the fragrance for you! I'm not even being sarcastic, for a while I was on the hunt for such a thing.

frusia

I really don't know where the wood is in this new She Wood version, to me it smells totally fruity floral.

As someone who worshipped the previous, sadly discontinued, She Wood line, I found this fragrance kind of offensive. Not because it is offensively strong or anything, on the contrary, it's actually quite crowd pleasing. But I loved Dsquared2 She Wood because it used to be so different, so refreshingly original.

This smells like pretty much anything you can pick up from your nearest perfume shop women's section. Don't even spend £60 or so on Dsquared - if you like the scent, the world of perfume is full of similar fragrances and you can easily buy them for half the price.

aldinatic

yep..a magnolia woody raspberry lily of the valley..yes indeed vs vibes..but nicer. its a like.
it reminded me of incanto-salvatore ferragamo-yes :)
cedar-ambroxan-in the dry down -therefore-escentric molecules vibes

danygurl06

This does smell very similar to Victoria’s Secret Bombshell, but lighter. It’s softly woody. Both this and VS Bombshell smell like they have that foamy shaving cream scent inside them. Not the men’s version that reminds me of old spice. What every the base it is to make those gel to cream fruity shaving creams. I don’t smell shampoo at all.

The mix of mandarin and raspberry leaves smell like grapefruit on my skin. I would imagine people liking this from teens on up. It’s not a very sweet scent on my skin, but it does smell feminine.

Soozatska

Smells EXACTLY like Salvatore Ferragamo's Incanto Shine to me! It definitely has a shampoo-y vibe, but I find it to be perfectly delightful for summer. It's not at all serious, just a playful fruity-floral frag.

diva_100

On my skin this perfume smells like Linden. It's not woody nor sweet, it is light floral, very well made. Sad that it lasts so little. If you find it somewhere cheap, try it, otherwise it's not worth the money as it's not super unique nor long-lasting. The bottle is big and heavy, difficult to carry around but feels super luxurious. The whole packaging is on point.

LisaMari

I think I have to test this one again, but I liked it on my skin - sweet, pink, musky, slightly salty and woody. Really nice.

PeachK

All I'm getting is an antiseptic orange and something green. The raspberry leaf, I guess. No woods. Faint floral. Pass.

brimanrique

This is Bombshell from Victoria Secret but with a different name. Just exactly the same fragrance on me. Nothing new, no different or exciting here.

virtualalice

Sharp, synthetic and generally resembles shampoo. Hard pass. They included samples packed with local glossy magazines, and that's how cheap this scent is.

auroramaria

This one is very pretty and very similar to Bright Crystal only this scent is richer and lasts longer,it is a pleasant slightly sweet fruity scent wich is perfect for everyday use as it will male you smell clean and lovely throughout the day.

raiza1990

Very faint. Longevity is poor. A bit woody, a bit sweet. Very innocent, almost like children‘s perfume. Like others have said, it’s generic. I am underwhelmed.
Final note: 3/10

buyukbang

Shampoo, really??? I really disagree with the previous comments. Me and my wife just met with this beatiful perfume and we both loved it. This is something like a boosted VS Bombshell with its strong performence. As a man I would really like to smell this on a woman.

genny17

I expected better, this is a strong fruity floral, and yes very much like a shampoo, a nice one, for me, not crazy about it...to call it a perfume with unmistakable character is false advertising I think..I am not usually fond of fruity scents, and this one won't make me change my mind honestly...it is very forgettable...like a fancy hand wash!? on top of it, it isn't shy..it has some punch...I am swapping it for sure, so contact me if you want it..

FrkFors

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I am on the hunt for a "generic/shampoo" kind of perfume for everyday use in spring/summer. Just to smell clean and feminine and have something easy to reach for in the mornings.

I've searched for a while now and this looks to have everything that I am looking for. It's either this, Dior Joy or Oscar de la Renta Extraordinary.
I'm happy this one doesn't have rose or patchouli in it.

masako_30

To me, Wood for Her is the extension, until the evening, of my morning fruity shampoo smell.
Dsquared2 really counts some likable, particular, a bit different than usual perfumes! This one is nothing special in my opinion, but not so bad at all. It's quite lasting on both skin and clothes.

ScarlettX

I don't sense it as woody. It's more like a light floral scent. I sense magnolia, jasmine and even a little bit lily of the valley in it.
It is indeed very ordinary light fruity floral, but not a bad scent. Nice, just not mind-blowing.

dzingunyte

The ones who vote its suitable for winter, its really not. Very mainstream scent, fresh fruity. Like many. Unoriginal. Nothing about wood in this one. Fruitchouly. With some florals.
