J'Adore Absolu by Dior is a Amber Floral fragrance for women. J'Adore Absolu was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. Top notes are Jasmine Sambac and Magnolia; middle notes are Jasmine, Indian Tuberose and May Rose; base note is Orange Blossom.

J'Adore Absolu, available since the beginning of October 2018, is a new edition of Dior's J'Adore collection.

"J'adore absolu is the new floral nectar by the House of Dior. In an incredibly lush composition, François Demachy blends voluptuous and sensual floral absolutes. Absolutes of Grasse Jasmine, Sambac Jasmine, Rose and Magnolia intertwine with unprecedented freshness: flowers take on the sweetness of a delicious syrup, a sublime, natural and seductive nectar.  J'adore absolu is built around Grasse Jasmine, a capricious beauty that requires patience, harvested at the precise moment when, drenched in sunlight, it releases its most sensual accents."

"In this composition, I wanted Jasmine to shine with all its intensity. It is animal, fruity, drenched in sunlight. Swathed in honeyed notes of orange blossom and rose, it reveals lusher, more nectar-like accents." - François Demachy

Together with the new perfume, a new advertising campaign for J'Adore is also launched, featuring actress Charlize Theron as the face of the line. The amphora-like bottle is adorned with a new “supple, almost fluid necklace, like a delicate jewel dancing around a woman's neck, following her every movement”.

J'Adore Absolu is available as a 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum Absolu.

this is a beautiful, light and airy, but deep scent. i love all these flowers and the mix is very good. it’s lacy see throughish. it’s very lady like and proper, but so good that that doesnt matter. may rose really gets to me, in a good way. a white floral done well. nothing too much like tuberrose and jasmin can be sometimes. in this all the flowers meld into a delicious dreamy potion. good for any time. great in spring and summer.

I wore J'Adore when it was first released, many years ago and was smitten by it. It was an all encompassing floral hug, unlike any perfume I had experienced before. Whilst many of the big hitters at that time were heavy, oriental scents (Opium, Poison and Cinnabar), J'Adore was elegant, long-lasting and relatively subtle by comparison. I wore this, and Estee Lauder's Beautiful, practically all the time until the mid-90s, when I moved onto Sun, Moon and Stars and Ocean Dreams.

J'Adore Absolu was on sale at our local chain store, for a ridiculously low price, so I was tempted to try it. Having read the reviews of the original J'Adore, and its reformulation I was unsure what to expect. But I was delighted; on me, this is exactly what J'Adore smelt like all those years ago. A heady cloud of floral gorgeousness. Sillage and longevity are not quite the same, which is a pity, but I absolutely love it. As it's been discontinued, I will try the original and see how that performs.

PurrParfumFan

As I have told many people, due to the May Rose, this is the closest to the Extrait, it’s just that fate be damned, Absolu is now discontinued.

defineka

Best of all.. perfect.. so sad it is discontinued

Not what I had in mind unfortunately.
I saw many people comparing this to Gabrielle Essence (that is my signature) and really…to my nose, they don’t really have much in common. They might be on a similar scent profile but they’re two different scents.
On my skin, J’adore Absolu translates as very soapy like a shampoo, loud and very bright. Not really sweet, I feel like the sweetness comes only from the florals here. I’m not sure if I like it enough to keep it.
Still I received so many compliments as this is quite intense and projects like crazy.
Also, someone here mentioned this smells very bridal, I 100% agree. A true wedding scent for someone that likes the specific scent profile and the J’Adore line.

Lovaloo

Absolu-ly nothing like the original J'Adore.

I'm a bit stunned. Gone are the watery fruit slices and cheap hotel shampoo. Absolu is a dense, lush floral for adults. Heady, thick, sumptuous with a melange of seamless flowers... ylang-ylang, tuberose, jasmine, rose, orange flower, and the modern Dior musk base... it smells like a riff on the old Patou Joy. Not exactly the same, but you will certainly be reminded of it.

LVMH launched the Joy name under Dior, and used it to release a nondescript citrusy floral. They took the Joy formula, tweaked it, and launched it as a flavor-of-the-week J'Adore flanker? I am not joking, this flanker has already been pulled from shelves. I will never understand these people.

Relative to other florals on the market it's good value for your coin. If you find a bottle, snap it up. We need all the Joy we can get.

Lauren387

Plot twist: I’m in love! The richness of the tuberose has developed and smoothed our after sitting a few weeks. Wow, I’m amazed. There’s something in tuberose that bothers me in a brand new bottle. But once it sits a bit, I find it beautiful. Molecules are fascinatingly strange,

Original post: Bright jasmine and magnolia notes enveloped in creamy rich tuberose. The cool fruity ozonic melon notes of the OG are gone. I find OG J’Adore a generally heavy fragrance—and this has even more weight. Two sprays is enough. Or spritz the air and walk through. The tuberose borders nasal assault in the first 20 minutes but mellows in the dry down. Dont overdue it, over-sprayers (I say in the mirror). Otherwise this could be unpleasant and cloying. A truly beautiful creation where less is more.

Jasmine!! Gardenia!! Rose!! Three beautiful flowers all working together to make a really amazing perfume that is super pleasant and definitely a safe blind buy :) This smells like what I wish Santa Maria Novella's, Rosa Gardenia smelled like. Not sure if I would buy for myself because I dont love gourmand smells, and although this is SUPER floral, theres something vanilla-y/creamy about it that make it smell a little too sweet for my taste, but in the defense of this perfume a lot of scents come up sweeter on me, so its probably just me. Pretty nice longevity and very reasonably priced.

LaContessina

Beautiful, feminine, elegant.
Of all the J'Adore line, this is my best preferred.
For some reason i can't wear the original J'Adore but i would bathe in this Absolu.
Jasmine, sweet magnolia, jasmine again, honey (not listed but present) and a wonderful, fresh, round orange blossom.
Of course this is for white flowers lovers!
Very similar to Avon Today Tomorrow Always (but way more intense) i see how people regard it as a wedding scent.
I can also see similarities to Houbigant Quelques Fleurs.
Really good and a must try before it's gone.

Discontinued ? Oups ! my bottle is empty !!! no more jasmine , Christian ?
last year , i couldn't find mustard ! ok,...BUT L'absolu , the best of my preferate scent, so deep and flowered j'adore...I am just sad...but i am french, i will survive ...

aylasophiie

i don’t know why but this kinda smelt sour to me😅

J'Adore Absolu hits me right in the nostrils with intense white floral. I have been married for a long time, but if I could do my wedding over this would be my scent. Somehow all the white florals harmonize to form a scent that is not obviously jasmine, magnolia, tuberose or orange blossom but almost a newly invented uber White Floral. This stuff is heavenly. The only thread I can pull is the magnolia which is CHOICE, closest to a real magnolia flower I have ever smelled.

Now I wish they had thrown in neroli, gardenia and stephanotis, just to achieve the white floral royal flush...Why hold back?

10/10 and not to be missed if you love white florals. If you love the smell of actual Magnolia grandiflora blooms, this will thrill you.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

This is my most favorite scent of all and I'm so sad that Dior is discontinuing it... I mean, what are they thinking?! Apparently a lady at the Dior counter told me it wasn't at all popular because people thought it was too sweet, but I don't know what they are thinking...

It is a lovely white floral fragrance that has the tiniest hint of citrus and lots of honey in the opening and base of the perfume. It lasts an amazingly long time and it has a moderate sillage. It is sweet, but I don't find it cloying in any way and I think it smells like a beautiful garden filled with flowers and a few roses interspersed in-between that have just been pollinated by the bees, whose hive is hanging on a tree in the middle of the garden. The queen bee looks over her kingdom and sighs in wondrous disbelief at how beautiful it is.

It's so lovely, I had to buy three bottles before I couldn't anymore, despite me having a third of a 75ml bottle still left...

Dottie's Hoomum

Gloriously elegant, beautiful, realistic and intoxicating flowers. A lingering but subtle sweetness. Nothing synthetic. The best J’Adore ever, IMHO.

aralsheart

Maybe it's the jasmine, but I feel it smells like shower gel or shampoo kinda. It feels like I just got out of the shower. Forgettable.

Nocciola23

This is a beautiful jasmine scent that is all-enveloping and rich.
I find the tuberose a little screechy but the dry down is heavenly and has an almost aquatic sweetness to it.
This is the real deal, a serious floral perfume that doesn't mess around. Be careful not to overspray.

SummerRose

This is elegance and beauty in a bottle. It's just stunning. Not often will I smell a white floral and think of it as feminine, elegant, sophisticated, intoxicating, soft, clean, creamy and SEXY. I don't think I have ever described a white floral perfume in this way before but this is what J'Adore Absolu gives to me. It is natural smelling, well blended and there is no screetchiness that you can sometimes get from florals.

There is a hint of something that is not listed in the notes that adds a tad of sweetness like honey or vanilla and in my mind it smells golden like the juice in the bottle...IMO it does have a similar vibe to Chanel Gabrielle Essence which I also have but this leans more floral, a bit more elevated, more womanly and sexy whilst the other is a bit sweeter, fruiter and more of an every day fragrance.

In terms of performance, J'Adore Absolu remains quite linear on my skin. The sillage is about arm's length initially and then it maintains a scent bubble around you. Longevity is moderate on the skin but on clothes you could get up to about 6 hours. Although I do smell it also on my clothes the next day but again the scent is soft.

There is something quite captivating about this perfume for me. It makes me feel good wearing it and although it's not a massive projector when people come really close to you they will enjoy it too!

Crystalita76

J’adore - Absolu ☀️
Creamy delectable white florals - radiant and sophisticated.
J’adore Absolu opens up with a burst of creamy jasmine sambac and Tuberose is adding a tiny bit of sweetness to the white florals.
Honestly, I’m very surprised that there is not Ylang Ylang in this one because it comes off with a buttery type of effect.
This fragrance is blended from sheer nectars of their flower parts.
For me, I do not get a shampoo vibe.
It’s strictly white floral nectar blended to perfection.
It remains pretty linear from beginning to end.
Very elegant and yes it smells like money but not old money.
There is nothing “ girly “ in this beauty. But it is very feminine.
It definitely has the J’adore DNA but has been stripped down to the very essence of the signature J’adore white florals.
I detect no rose in this one on my skin.
This does not smell similar to Chanel Gabrielle to me.
Beautifully blended and one of my favorites from this line.
Projection is decent.
Longevity is about 4-6 hours depending on how much you spray.
The bottle is as all the J’adore line. Stunning 🤩
Completely sophisticated smelling.
Definitely a must if you love realistic white florals ⭐️

LEM922

Recieved a sample of this in the mail. Honestly, I have been loving white florals lately and this is no exception...very lovely, very classy. This is a scent that has been done many times over, but still a nice version. Smells like really expensive shampoo, or an upscale hair salon, or clothing boutique. I feel as if I've smelled quite often...when I sprayed, it kind of unlocked a scent memory, just can't really figure out where it's from. This is a beauty. I don't think I would commit to a bottle as I already have a few white florals, but this is very nice.

coffeefifofum

Jasmine with some backup from other white florals. Not photorealistic but leans more to realistic than interpretation. Better than arms length projection. Top notes really do continue into mid notes and base so congrats to them on that. Minimally "perfumy". Probably quite original when it launched. Now it's a flowershop scent minus greens. Very nice but doesn't stand out from the flankers and imitators.

Edit: comment from my hairdresser when I had some sprayed in my hair. "What's your shampoo? It smells really nice and I know I've smelled it a lot before."

Dottie's Hoomum

Glorious. And finally, my beautiful, original J’Adore from the nineties is back in my life. Hooray!
The reformulation of the original made it unwearable for me. Over the years, it seemed to grow screechier and more chemically. I even tried the EDT, which was just too watery and weak. None of the variants of J’Adore gave me my Dior Jasmine fix. Absolu, to me, is exactly how the first edition used to smell. It’s insanely classy. It’s soft - no jagged edges - and it has nothing synthetic about it. The white florals are just absolutely beautiful. This perfume makes me wonder how they can encapsulate the scent of real flowers in a bottle in such a fabulous way. Even the spray nozzle is a cut above, sending out a gentle mist of gorgeousness. Smells expensive. Stunning bottle. Makes you feel great. Love, love, love it.

Ps. I completely agree with the post from CorrespondencePersonal. She says, very wisely,
“But I'm beginning to figure out that a number of perfumes that people refer to as "old lady" - may actually mean that the perfume smells more like "old money". This smells expensive, tasteful, refined, something that a cultured woman would wear... yes - someone who even has millions in the bank.”

Absolutely correct. I often find reviews citing “old lady” scents are referring to timeless classics which have never gone down in price, simply because their DNA, classiness and ingredients are inimitable. There is no such thing as an old lady scent. It’s how the wearer carries it off.

correspondencepersonal

This is a gorgeous perfume, a deeper expression of the original J'Adore - almost as if this is the INTENSE Version.

The advertising is fabulous - Charlize Therone soaking in a Turkish Bath with goddess like women relaxing around the water. The video ends with a stylish fashion show with models in transparent gold gowns marching forward on runway.

I tried Infinissime, J'Adore In Joy, and Absolute Dior on... spritzing them at the mall. Infinissime and Absolut Dior share the same DNA of the original J'Adore... J'Adore in Joy is more of a salty/marine chord after the first spray begins to absorb into the skin.

This is classic (NOT "old lady")!!!!!!! LOL...

But I'm beginning to figure out that a number of perfumes that people refer to as "old lady" - may actually mean that the perfume smells more like "old money". This smells expensive, tasteful, refined, something that a cultured woman would wear... yes - someone who even has millions in the bank.

This is beautiful - truly ageless and timeless.
This could definitely be in the running for a "signature" perfume.
I feel a similar vibe with Infinissime, only Absolut is a bit more clear and direct in the opening notes.

If you like this - try the original J'Adore - and Infinissime.
They all share a similar DNA.

SanjuktaB

This is a must try for floral lovers especially white florals. I mostly detect jasmine and orange blossom in a bed of rose honey (in that aspect it reminds me a bit of Elie Saab Le Parfum but that is more sharp and the patchouli gives it some depth) . This is a serious woman kind of fragrance not a young ,flirty fragrance. Some people call it old lady too. Projection is maybe moderate but not arms length and longevity is 4-5 hours on me.

LSAUG

This is a strange almost bitter white floral, nothing sweet about it at all. I find that strange because to my nose most flowers are a bit sweet. I get a lot of magnolia w/ this one but again it smells artificial. This is ok but not great, it clings to everything so if you like this perfume you will be getting your money's worth but again headache inducing and it has a bitter rough quality that I am not liking at all. I think I should've rated this a dislike, the more I smell it the more I dislike it.

Sunkissed

Instant like. I had tried almost everything in the shop when I got to this and my nose couldn't take anything anymore, so I didn't want to make a commitment. But I have to try it again one day along with Infinissime. I tried them one after the other and might be confusing both. I can definitely tell why people say they're minded of Gabrielle Essence and vice versa and it has that classy ladylike feel to it.
Unfortunately I do not remember the OG at all, so I can't compare them.

Scentedalterego

Very floral until the drydown. Infinissime has the bubblegummy tuberose and this one the fleshy spicy variety. I found this a bit too serious and mature. Nothing young, sweet or fresh. That is entirely subjective though, as on the other had this is one of the few designers that only consists of floral notes. Ladylike and elegant. The quality is not as high as L'or, but this is also not as expensive. I haven’t smelled the former version, so can’t compare. This review is for what’s in stores now.

joanneJ

I always disliked the initial smell I’d get within the first few seconds of spraying this, but I’m glad that one day I eventually gave it a chance and wore it all day. It’s so gorgeous. Luxury in a bottle. It’s also slightly sweeter than the original. Lasts eternally, and has a enormous sillage but not the kind that would give you a headache (unlike the original). I recommend this.

piahellgren

What an absolute delight! I mourned the L’Absolu with its fruits in the composition, but this is very similar, luckily. Slightly more tuberosey, but in that fresh, green way. Gorgeous rose, but it is the striking jasmin that is the queen in this composition. It’s truly a liquid golf, nectary jasmin and the scent is absolutely addictive. Layers well with J’Adore in Joy which also is truly beautiful with the salt note.

Tiffou

Strong bitterish white floral on me, with a distinct nauseating chemical haispray note. Not for me unfortunately.

Zethre

Like J'Adore with a massive dollop of honey. Too sweet for me, but much more interesting than more sweet perfumes.
Weird sweet metallic note in the drydown

EllaDe7

It would be perfect without the sweet hint after it settles. Cookie, candy vanilla, very faint but for me is a no no.

tonkatsu335

It is a very sweet, plump and elastic scent.
It is extremely feminine and beautiful, but I don't like this scent.

First of all, the combination of jasmine and orange blossom, which I also found in PURE POISON, is too rich for me. It makes me nauseous.

Especially in J'adore Absolu, the base note is orange blossom, so the sweetness continues to be fluffy and ungrounded all the way to the end, making me feel uncomfortable.

I can't seem to like the J'adore series.

Rosemary14

Amazing!! This is warm, deep, sensual, voluptuous, and rich honeyed floral. It’s so feminine and sophisticated. The florals are so rich this gives me the impression of a floral honey butter in the beginning but it still remains light. Even though I kind of smell honey it’s more like a golden nectar. The jasmine is so amazing and natural in this and the magnolia gives a spark of slight citrus. The orange blossom is giving me a natural green image of butterflies drinking up the honey sweet floral water. It’s Absolutely stunning and beautiful.

PurrParfumFan

J’adore EDP is a flirty fragrance.
J’adore Absolu is a refined, luxury fragrance.
This composition is also the closest you can get to the J’adore Extrait De Parfum without actually wearing the Extrait.

veronique

Well, .magical..: flowers, fruits but more over a special heart so sensous . I feel a warm sandalwood and tuberose heart. The perfume is a jewel, it emphazises your womanity.
Sometimes beauty is beauty, and there is no way , every body loves it.

churinl

This is on a completely different level than J'adore and it's other flankers! I never cared for the original. There was something cloying and artificial about it. I think it might be due to the pear and the melon. This is a pure floral delight. It does bear a resemblance to the original when first applied, but within 10 minutes it becomes it's own fragrance. The jasmine is so clear and pure - not the least bit headachy - and the tuberose lends a nice, creamy support. It behaves well, and does not suffocate the other floral. The note pyramid belies a definite fruity effect in the composition, which I attribute to the orange blossom and a very slight lemony effect undoubtedly from the magnolia. I believe that this is what underlies the nectar quality- it's almost like honey devoid of anything animalic or earthy. Not that this is all those two notes contribute! They blend in seamlessly with the other white florals, creating something greater than the sum of it's parts. The only note I can not detect is the rose. I'm sure it plays a role, but with all of that white floral goodness going on, I can't say I miss it! If you haven't tried this because you don't care for the original or any other flankers, you may find that this is the exception.

I must thank the gracious Ana for sending me a decant. I would have never given this a second thought had it not been for her. It really is extraordinary!

wallywinthrop

Wonderful. I love the original J'Adore (although - am I crazy? I remember the original that launched in 1999 being a drier chypre than the fruity floral it is now - not that it matters much, I love the latter a great deal). I also have the original J'Adore L'Or from 2010, which is an arresting mélange of white flowers and roses, what you would expect original J'Adore mixed with Chanel No. 5 to be. I have not smelled L'Absolu - yet this is a worthy companion.
This one is a very beautiful, light yet encompassing, veil of a glamorous dream. A coronation gown of cloth-of-gold, yet in a pale shade of champagne to hint at innocence, at effervescence, at spring. A floral syrup indeed, of J'Adore, but with gently emphasized tuberose and jasmine, with an aftereffect of freshness I've only smelled in one other scent, Frédéric Malle's En Passant. This scent too ends with a graceful sigh of dry floral accord, echoing lilac and jasmine.

MarianB

Another Dior masterpiece. A gorgeous mixture of jasmine and roses. Last the whole day on my skin. I had the J'Adore EdP and I liked it a lot but this is of a much higher level. A rich, full floral scent. Love it

Nancy83

It was a good experience, a yummy bouquet of white flowers that morphs into a sweet floral nectar.

Right away I can smell the flowers notes very clearly, jasmine and tuberose being dominants. I was careful to not overspray, it's powerful, one spray is enough for me. The sillage is real, on the borderline of being too much, hopefully it was still agreeable to smell and being in the cloud. It wasn't cloying, it was perfect for a cold day of fall. The perfume is long lasting, after 12 hours the scent is faint, but still sniffable and I could still smell it on my skin the day after.

I will finish my sample, I don't know if I will buy it, I don't see myself reaching for it often because of how strong and floral it is, but maybe more wears will change my mind.

It's floral, but not dated. The sweetened flowers remind me a perfume I have, Michael Kors Sexy Amber. I haven't tried J'Adore EDP, but maybe it would have been more in my style, I will try to smell it one day.

PurrParfumFan

Just to make mention, I am talking about the 2017 version of L’Or and the 2014 Parfum Extrait

PurrParfumFan

I just bought my bottle.
I haven’t had it long enough to be able to tell you what to expect other than the fact that this is NOT a replacement for L’Absolu.
This fragrance is totally different.
I absolutely love the smell, but L’Or and the Extrait De Parfum are still the most premium/expensive versions.
This version is heavier than the EDP, but weaker than L’Or
I feel as if this smells the closest to the parfum extrait.

Prissypuss

Heavenly. An exquisite jasmine-centric masterpiece. I like the original J'adore decently enough, but the citrusy vibe bores me and strikes me as a bit steno pool chic. This isn't as career ready, it's more romantic and extravagant. White florals for days, good bridal scent in my opinion.
It smells like wealth, it smells like what all the J'adore advertising is trying to convince us the original smells like.
This shouldn't even really be a flanker, it should just be it's own diva.

florally

I get so much sweet, airy rose! Which is wonderful because rose is my favourite. Combined with the white flowers, I see it as a pale pink rose in honeyed sunlight, with a jasmine-covered wall off to the side. Beautiful.

aprilsandoval0704

This is a jasmine BOMB. I don't get anything but jasmine for hours after spraying this. It's a very creamy jasmine tho, light in sillage but rich in scent. Very beautiful. It morphs a bit after awhile into a powdery magnolia but I don't get much else. This reminds me of hot Southern nights on an airy veranda surrounded by gorgeous magnolia trees and honeysuckle....I love the simplicity of the florals in this. You dont need alot of confusing ingredients if you have two or three quality ones. Beautiful.

leda_ripa

This is a nice white flower mix fragrance. I consider it to be a more mature fragrance.

Miss LaCreevy

the best, the very best jasmine I ever smelled.Very warm, but not cloying. To my nose it smells also peppery, like a good carnation. A brilliant perfume. I love the original J'Adore and J'Adore L'Absolu, but this is the best one.

iamoir

From the official site of Dior Fragrances we get this information about the notes of the perfume:
Absolutes of Grasse Jasmine, Sambac Jasmine, Magnolia, honeyed orange blossom note, Rose Centifolia, Indian Tuberose

And it is quite an intense white floral departure from the original shampoo fruity floral J'adore. L'absolu follows the tuberose trend from 2017, with this very beautiful, feminine, bridal even, composition. Read the reviews below, they are right.

L'absolu is ideal for the lovers of white floral compositions. Tried several times in cold weather and it sings, so I can imagine that it will work as well in spring too. It's very well blended, although not difficult at all as a scent.
A sheer mentholic green, maybe bubblegummy, tuberose stands out, in a general bouquet of the aforementioned notes. Luminous, softly medicinal, with some sweetness, that can be attributed to orange blossom; this should be the nectar note everybody is searching.

Charming perfume. If you're bored or tired of the shampoo-like original, try the Absolu, or the Or even, the latter has significant amount of tuberose on the J'adore dna, while Absolu, if not told to what line it belongs, one might not realise that it is a J'adore as well

Esther77

This isn't necessary a review, but more a comparison between the old and new formulation. I am by no means good at describing perfumes or a perfume connoisseur. To me the old formulation is definitely more potent than the new version, especially in the opening, and the Ylang Ylang is very prominent to my nose in the old formulation, which is also the immediate difference between the two. The newer formulation being softer and less dimensional and the Jasmin/Tuberose seems to take more center stage with noticeable sweetness peaking through, which probably comes from the nectar. The sweetness in this to me is not a candy, syrupy nor synthetic kind of sweetness, but it is natural, a bit comforting and well blended.

There is a similar DNA between the old and new formulation, however to me the new formulation stands on its own and smells like a different kind of perfume. So if you prefer the old formulation I would suggest to see if you can still get your hands on it, because that scent is now gone.

However in my opinion this perfume is softness, feminine, classy and pure elegance. I can see someone receiving a lot of compliments from wearing this.

It seems to be more of a day perfume than a night perfume, however I wouldn't call it an office perfume either. It makes me think of a confident woman wearing a white lace dress having lunch at a cozy cafe in spring with a handsome gentleman.

this might be the converting point for me !a stunning opulence velvety creamy sensuale daring yet dreamy elegant sensual jasmine made to perfection ..harmonious lucid fluid silky radiates and shines golden sparkly dust i actually had a butterfly and bee following me maybe thinking i turned in to a flower !!wanting to pollinate me it also has this shiney deep accord..by the way all this love is coming from someone who rarely uses jasmine but this might just be my turning point to actually wearing jasmine its non indoolic and doesnt turn to a poopy/indolic smell on me at all it also does not induce those severe headaches and nausea i have a sample and i am treasuring it and testing it daily is smelted it outdoors on a cold night though so i am not sure how it will be indoords the sales lady at the dior boutique was telling me pls try it but i was like no way the original j'adore from 1999 was a no no for me but i ended up liking some of the lighter pinky flankers but never managed to pull the trigger ..i am glad in her non persistent way she gave m the sample and i didn't test it in the store i tested it outdoors maybe that's why i was able to better tolerate it but i got so many compliments i think this might be my next purchase for this winter season
it lasted until the next morning in my hair with such a beautiful alluring sensual almost carnal facet of a medley of jasmines grass jasmine sambac jasmine indian jasmine magnolia pure bliss to experience it doesn't smell synthetic in any way it lineates towards natural creamy smelling jasmine with a mysterious twist..it's a nectar of love something aphrodite would definitely wear in this day and time !!

The previous editions of J'Adore never appealed to me, but I am very impressed with the 2018 J'Adore Absolu. I own Michael Kors and Gucci Bloom, and while similar, it is distinct enough, and I think sufficiently superior, to become an edition to my wardrobe. J'Adore Absolu is far more subtle than Michael Kors (a mainly Tuberose, Jasmine and Freesia fragrance on my skin), and rounder and longer lasting than Bloom (Tuberose, Jasmine and Honeysuckle). Whatever the "nectar" note is, I think this is what makes J'Adore Absolu 2018 a more pleasant fragrance than the others I mentioned.

To see if I really need yet another Tuberose/Jasmine dominant fragrance in my wardrobe (who am I kidding - I'm getting it), I have worn my sample of J'Adore for the past three days. Today I have it on my left wrist and elbow, with Bloom on my chest and Michael Kors on my right arm. If my house went up in a perfume fuelled inferno (shudder), I would use the insurance payout to buy J'Adore Absolu, but I wouldn't replace the other two. I prefer J'Adore Absolu over them both.

While it is not a dupe of Prada La Femme (which has bees wax as a note, while this has nectar), J'Adore Absolu has a similar dense, sweet, opulent loveliness. It is utterly feminine.

Sillage is slightly more than arms length, using three sprays, and longevity is fantastic, easily staying on my skin overnight. Dior can concentrate on marketing this one and shelve Joy in my opinion.

I see that other reviewers have called J'Adore Absolu "elegant". I agree. This is a class act.

Ultimate expression of elegance, refinement and perfection.
There are few scents like j'a.Absolu in my wardrobe. This sample is worth gold and should be used until the last drop.
And I could even lose my mind.

White floral soap in a good way. Modern, classic, clean scent for elegant, confident and feminine woman. Comparing to original this is more dense. In background there is some slight candy like sweetness, perhaps sugary, fruity, floral honey.

For woman 25+. For lightweight and classic style. Champagne, white, light beige, gold, honey colors. Bottle design fits perfume. More feminine, than romantic. Quite universal, will fit most seasons, occasions and even friendly atmosphere office. Might even fit wedding. It is well done, but also in my opinion nothing too original or attention grabbing (what also might be good a thing). This perfume lets woman to speak, than speaks in place of woman as some stronger perfumes might do.

I recommend this if you find the fruits in the EdP too synthetic/screechy and L'Or too expensive/small/soft

This smells just like J'adore but the base is different. The original has fresh fruity floral base where as the Absolo has this rich floral gardenia base. The bottle is beautiful and a lot more darker. It's more suited for night time.

I got my bottle yesterday. While I never got the privilege of trying out the previous J’adore Absolu , I must say this one is in between a like and a love for me. I’m not a perfume connoisseur so I may not be very apt with describing notes. That being said , the opening seems very bright and effervescent to me. Also at the opening I sense the presence of the original J’ adore . It dries down to something floral and sweet and doesn’t change much on my skin. It’s not overly sweet . It seems balanced - between the florals and sweetness. I got this for the tuberose, I can sense it but it’s not sickeningly obvious. It spells ‘playful sophistication’.
This should be great for spring , fall and summer IMO. I think I might also wear it during the winter too
It lasts for a decent length of time. At the sixth hour mark it’s still there. It’s not a sillage bomb like Lor, which is my favorite form this line . It’s in between moderate and heavy.

If you didn’t quite like the original but you are into sweet fragrances , then you might want to check this out. Sample first before committing. This was a blind buy for me and I’m happy with it.

LVMH launches a lot before Season's gifts... Surprise?!

Seeing this makes me think their Dior’s head is at, “ quick, JOY is bombing, we have to launch a new J’Adore, NOW!!!”
