Starlight Etienne Aigner for women

This perfume remind me to TM Angel but give a different sense of drydown, the drydown feel soft with a tinge of sour to me
I sometimes layered this with clarins eau dynamissante, BBW sweet pea bodymist or rose essential oil and I think the combinations fits my olfactory sense well

For me it's kinda nice perfume but very boring. The opening is not very strong, it's almost not developing. Office friendly for me, sillage is very average. I wanted to blind buy this but I think I'd be disappointed.

I can’t remember where I got my sample of Starlight, but I tried to wear it today and immediately I knew I made a mistake. Overly processed fruity perfume with an indistinguishable floral note sitting on a standard patchouli note. The overall scent is strong and piercing. I’m heading into a shower now, I’ve got to give my nose some relief.

I can smell strong pineapple on this one. Smells sour on hot days and i kinda feel powerful wearing this. Very office friendly. Nothing special, forgettable but it's an okay from me.

Samples of this were found on my airplane kits (that time I can still fly around). Not a big fan of it but then I hate a lot of fruitchoulis. Just over 3 hours of Meh performance, near nonexistent projection on my skin.

Starlight is your standard fruitchouli, lots of bright pineapple and patchouli right off the bat, drying down to a sweet musk. If you like things like Euphoria you will probably like this one too.

Well.. This is not a nice review, so I hope I won't offend anyone, we all have different noses and chemistries. I do try to help blind buyers as I appreciate the good and the not so good even more when I blind buy.

I LOVE Euphoria (I have it plus 2 backups) it's feminine woody freshness, surprisingly this does smell very close to it at first, despite the different notes listed, wish I checked the reviews before buying :(

But.. There is something terribly off putting in this, something that makes me nauseous to the point that I got rid of it and I'm really turned off from this brand. Don't know which note.

My advise is test first, it could be just me and it didn't work well with my specific chemistry.

But don't go buying this as a cheaper alternative for Euphoria, it's not the same.

Love it! A sweet fruity perfume that is fresh and sophisticated. Signature material! This perfume reminds me so much of TM Angel, must be the combination of pineapple, caraway and of course patchouli. To my nose these notes combined to give off the minty slightly overripe fruit aroma that I love in TM Angel but I've never really been comfortable wearing Angel because of its in-your-face intensity. On the contrary, I find Starlight to be much much more wearable, maybe only a little more sour than TM Angel, which is lovely regardless.

I can't comment on its similarity to CK Euphoria as I've never tested it (yet) but I will because I love Starlight so much! All in all I think Starlight is quite a unique perfume that's also expensive smelling. It is NOT just another fruitchouli. Beautiful and interesting!

Sillage is just right, radiates without choking everybody around you. Longevity is impressive! 8hrs plus on my moisturised skin and much longer on clothes.

I did not notice a special similarity between this perfume and euphoria. But it is a lovely perfume that has a sophisticated smell, and I personally felt the aroma of pineapple, strawberry, jasmine, vanilla and patchouli in it.

CK Euphoria is my signature scent. This fragrance smells a lot like it!! But it's much lighter. So, if you're looking for a more wearable fragrance, that's similar to Euphoria, this is it!!

Sweet and juicy /strawberry pineapple combo int he opening. The drydown bring minty patchouli to front and I get also some creamy vanilla in the background.

I don't really see anything memorable on this one, but on the other hand it's smells quite pleasant.

I never had euphoria so my comparison may not be as accurate as people who know euphoria closely.to my nose starlight is very much similar to CK euphoria but not identical.actually I prefer starlight!
Starlight seems to a less woody,more fruity,sweeter,lighter and modern version of euphoria.but it didn't bring TM angel to my mind
Starlight is a fruitchouli and while one can notice pineapple,strawberry,vanilla and patchouli in it,non of them scream their presence or try to cover other notes.musky jasmine stands in shadow and while being there,it can't rule over fruitchouli.spicy fleshy patchouli and sweet pine apple are the strongest notes on me
It's not my type so I'm going to enjoy my sample but won't buy a full bottle but I see it as a good choice for fruitchouli lovers specially considering it's price

Wow. A beautiful and exotic perfume. Yes, very much like Euphoria, especially at the start - which made me fall head over heels in love with it right off the bat!!! - and then it moves into being a softer, sweeter perfume, with patchouli very much the central performer. I think it's divine. Gloriously mysterious and seductive, elegant and deeply feminine. I love the lovely caraway smell, it's quirky and fun. The other notes are all there, adding up to a really exciting fragrance experience. Beautiful.
It's also long lasting and garners many many compliments! People stop in their tracks and say 'wow - do you smell gorgeous!!'
And the bottle and box!!! DIVINE and heavenly!!!! Starlight is THE perfect name!!!

starlight opening in very close to Euphoria calvin klein. but in dry down i think i changes his way from that. beautiful bottle. starlight is sweet and delicious. good longevity.

Euphoria and Wish had a baby in 2008 apparently.

Tested today, On my skin, Starlight's opening similar to Euphoria Women but less creamy, lighter, & fruitier.. then quickly shifted dries down to Angel EDP version but much lighter (it's like watered down version of Angel EDP).
Nice for everyday use, unique enough for daily, not too loud, not too discreet, i like it.. but since i have & love Euphoria Women & Angel EDT Comet, then i don't have the urge to keep Starlight in my rapidly growing collection.

the bottle design looks nice, one of reason why I bought it(smell nice too. However I am just not just into it. Poor longevity on me for less than an hour?? my first Aigner perfume but doesn't leave a good impression

My number one. Althought it´s very similar to Euphoria, I would say this one is more peculiar and that´s why I like it so much. I would recommend this one to those who like patchouli base surrounded by fruity and a little bit spicy notes. Its big plus is the intensity which announce that you have arrived but doesn´t annoy and its longevity. When you use in the morning to go to work, you could smell it whole day. The same when you use it during night.

**Update** Unfortunately, my Starlight no longer smells like a replica of Calvin Klein. It's lost a lot of its body over the past nine months I've owned it. All I am getting now is powder and vague vanilla. I sprayed on myself at 0630 this morning, and now at 0900 the smell has almost vanished. I am beyond disappointed :(

**Original** This perfume is breathetaking. I'd read online that it was very similar to Calvin Klein Euphoria, so I decided to take a chance on it since it was significantly cheaper. All I can say is truer words have never been spoken; Starlight smells like an exact replica of Euphoria! In fact, it may even be a little better. It seems a little lighter than its competitor, which I love, because although I love Euphoria, I always thought it to be very heavy. While Euphoria I normally only wore at night, I feel I could wear Starlight then and during the day, and plan to when I go to work. Starlight has a slighty more powdery touch, which I feel is much easier on the nose. I feel as though the strongest scents here is carraway and bergamont, but I can also sense the jasmine, musk, and vanilla notes. This scent is so mysterious; it is really difficult to stick my finger on a few notes! The blend is just gorgeous. I am so thrilled that I purchased this. I just hope Aigner continues with it! So in love with this!!!

On the first spray, I thought I sprayed Calvin Klein's Euphoria!!!
Since I love Euphoria, so Starlight is equally gorgeous to me... a bit lighter with a more fruity essence than Euphoria.

i just bought this perfume yesterday and at first I was confused on whether should I pick Debut or Starlight.

both has great smell and since my boyfriend said he liked Starlight so I purchased it.

first of all, i love the packaging.
i love the diamond shape which makes it looks elegant.
i love the smell too. it's sweet but not too sweet.
a perfect combination of fruity and floral which i love the combination of them.

i sprayed it this morning before i went to the office and it stayed until night.

I found starlight similar to Angel by thierry mugler. honestly, I am glad i bought this perfume because it is so much cheaper compared to angel, but this perfume fades faster and has different smell to angel after 4 hours.

The sweet and light smell makes me wanna hug everyone who uses it, definitely a buy.

Starlight is not a perfume for everyone. Either you will love it or be not so in love with it. Mine arrived yesterday, sprayed it on and thought , very strong after shavy thing going on here.... not quite what I read in positive reviews about it.... did not sniff it for another 8 minutes or so.
It now smelt way better, but I don't get any pineapple out of this. The drydown is the best, if you like patchouli and musky scents, which I do.
Is a sensual fragrance, designed for mature minded women or men, I would say this is unisex perfume.
Good to wear on cold days/nights, emits a warmth, comforting factor. I am very happy to own this perfume.

This one is indeed very similar to Euphoria, but I find Euphoria more woody and dark, whereas Stalight is more fruity and playful. I prefer Euphoria, but this is an interesting alternative nevertheless (especially since Euphoria is so overused these days). The lasting power and the bottle are great, it's also pretty cheap.

I just love it! it fills me with happy vibrant mood!! i believe its one of the sexiest perfumes ;)

It's elegance. Rich of floral smell and suitable for night dinner in hotel or restaurant.

But I think it's too sweet for hot weather so that could make me sick of its smell. It's also long lasting. I could smell it even after took a bath.

This is a child of V&R Flowerbomb and Chopard Wish. A bit undefined, but nice everyday scent.

Fruity gourmand scent...hmmm... The bottle reminds me of VR Flowerbomb.. Even the scent 'sounds' like a copy.. I've got to try it. Does anyone know if its cheaper of more expensive than flowerbomb? Lol... I might switch since I go through gallons of it.

Even tho I'm disappointed that big names such as Jimmy Choo and Aigner COPIED the flacon (with a few minor changes of course).. It's kinda.. Sad..

I like this smell. It's elegance, nice smell and warm.. Bit fruity and sweet.. For everyday use is good too, but in my opinion, it's more compatible with formal time.. ;) Overall, i give this perfume 4 stars from 5 stars.. :)

For me, it's close to DUNE CD, particularly some salty notes in the heart. But the opening is too sweet and fruity.
Sometimes this perfume reminds me of Le roy soleil by S. Dali, may be because of many similar notes in these fragrances: pineapple, bergamot, jasmine, sandalwood, patchouli, musk & vanilla - nine tenths!

Starlight takes off with a sweet and slightly sour, very juicy pinapple, that soon evolves into a warmer, a bit spicier scent. Still it's very sweet. The strawberrry in combination with the well balanced patchouli note creates a strawberry-chocolate smell as mentioned before. It's nice but a bit too edible for my taste, but I do understand why it's popular.

In defence to it's edible character I need to say that I don't think it's a scent for young girls. It is well balanced, a bit heavy and I think the cumin gives this fragrance a more grown up feeling. To my nose this is a wellcrafted fruitchouli, and not very similar to Angel which is a much more complex oriental vanilla. I only find it a bit embarassing that the Aigner house tried so hard to copy the idea behind Angel. Anyway, try for yourself and try before buy. Projection medium, longevity good.

This is a FAB perfume; very unique and arare. no way is this as cliched and commercial as CK Euphoria. I've been wearing this for a couple years now and LOVE it every time! It fits with every season, every mood, day and night, every occasion. I esp love to leayer it with Merry Cranberry body butter fromt he Body Shop. Initially, the gorgeous, gorgeous light lavender and silver and black colors of the box&bottle made me want to buy it....then when I smelt the fragrance, I was even more impressed. again, this is a very unique smell, so be sure to try before you buy!

I got this today! And LOVING it. It's similar to Angel, but MUCH better, more refined, and not that "in your face" like Angel.

I would rate this a very very sensual Oriental spicy (my favorite category for sure). Where Kingdom is 100% sweat to my nose, this is a very very soft interpretation of the sweaty caraway. It is a 100% sensual perfume for women that do not like to wear what everybody else is already wearing. So this is for the confident, intellectual but sensual women. LOVE IT!

Aw ha ha. Well, I was really skeptical about this one for a long time. Sniffing from bottle didn't impress me so now I though it was a time when I'd give it a try [yea, cause i'm running outta stuff to try -.-].
So, technically I'd name it a drop of 'Eau De Star' with some velvet of 'Innocent'. Very detectable here is strawberry, pineapple and patchouli. So was it inspired by TM creations? Only to guess. I would say, tho, that it's done well and pretty interesting :3 I like this. But be getting Too Feminine, cause that one cuter ;o

Have been looking to try this one for a long time...love the color, the name and the bottle.
The opening is very sweet and fruit filled. I pick up the pinapple note right away. The 1st time I wore it, I don't know what happened but all I got after that was cumin. It smelled identical to Kingdom, which was weird. Does caraway smell like cumin? I don't know...
Anyway, this time, I get a little jasmine and strawberry mix then vanilla musk.
It's very close to the skin though, no sillage to speak of at all after the 1st 2-3 minutes.
And sadly, it's gone completely after only a few hours.
I wish it lasted longer, it's actually a very lovely scent.

Update: For some reason, today the drydown is full of patchouli. Like it!

I'm not agree with the previous reviewers.this is a lovely fragrance.it starts with a little bit fresh,spicy and juicy scents.I was looking for circuses,I didn't find any,in place pineapple is very juicy at the first sniff.
as it remains on skin it becomes warmer.I can't describe it via the notes.they are not clear in the mixture of fragrance.but I'm trying to describe it,remember when you enter to a perfume shop,how does it smell?this fragrance smells like that,like a mixture of different types of fragrances.it's both sweet and sour.warm and fresh.I can't really name a fragrance that has the similar smelling,but it has so many features.if you consider the kind of sweet caramel smelling it's like Wish by Chopard.if you consider the warm fruity smelling it's a bit like Euphoria by CK.
as time passes it loses the fruitiness,but yet it's nice and warm.the total smelling is like strawberry mixed with caramel.
I"m fan of most of French and Italian perfume makers,but I never thought that I would fall in love with a fragrance from a German company!the bottle is very nice too and though the name indicates that it's suitable for night wear,I think it's also good for everyday use.

it remind me of flowerbomb, maybe because of the bottle, or maybe someone in Aigner want to create flowerbomb wanna be. And then I smell it, and for a moment, it did remind me of lighter version of flowerbomb. But then it passed, and I got a women version of Aigner |man|2

then I start to hate it.
