So powerful. Smells like the refrigerator in a florist's. Beautiful lilies and white florals and peonies with the vaguely sweet base of vanilla and I guess maple that keeps the florals from being screechy. They are strong, though. Wearing this is like being a kid riding in a car on a hot day holding a potted Easter lily to bring to some older relative. Almost overwhelming, but you stick your nose in the lilies and get orange pollen on your face. Then the lily smells like flowers in church and has that ham note. INTENSE is right. If you want to lock in a memory for some occasion, wear this.

violeteme

In comparison with the original, this is loud, brash and bold. Less elegant. Pungent lilies instead of lily of the valley.

Nimyan

Something very nostalgic comes out, in a good way. Like a perfumed-paper-lined drawer of a very beautiful mom. Or a first date night in a pink sweater and a pair of jeans. While the original Pleasures is too pretentious and recognizable. This is sweet and true, but still complicated. Like the friendship in F.r.i.e.n.d.s...

Cosmo's moon

I respect that a lot of people enjoy this scent, but honestly this didn’t work for me at all. To be fair, it has some very pretty springtime florals going on, like maybe white lilies and something that smelled like flower pollen. But the maple ruined it for me. My nose picked that up more than anything else and it was very overpowering. Like Easter lilies sitting on my kitchen table next to a plate of leftover pancake syrup. It made me feel sick and I decided to sell it. I wish my experience was better than it was. 🤷♀️

frankincense&myrrh

A punchbowl of Kir Royale sat on an Easter brunch back garden table brimming with sunlit lillies. Warm walnut baklava - the kind made with rose & jasmine water - simply oozing with honey, washed down with well oaked Chardonnay. Simnel cakes with honeysuckle icecream. More flowers. More cakes. And a glass of Sauternes.

This has got to be the most boozy, hazy, honey-dripping-sun-dappled-lazy, blushing lilly I've ever encountered. (Which was not what I expected!) Because I adore the dewy-cool-white-spicy, waxy/crisp, pollinated, incantatory lisp of lillies on Easter morning. But this lilly has been sipping prosecco & Ribena with a hot crossed bun on the lawn, long after the morning's incensed rituals have done. The pink ombré packaging feels appropriate. With bare feet in the grass and face to the sun, Pleasures Intense exalts in a joyful Spring song!

Understandably addictive. But pretty situation specific.
Perhaps a perfect picnic scent? I'll raise a glass to that!

At first I got blue hyacinth, and then the lilies blossomed! So gorgeous!

I hate the original Pleasures. Smells like lawn clippings and pool water to me so this or any of the other flankers were not on my radar to blind buy. Then I was thinking I needed a good lily perfume in my collection. I have White 💎 and Tocca Stella but that is about it for lilies in my collection. I've sampled quite a lot of lily perfumes and there were only 2 that I liked enough to buy unfortunately both are discontinued and impossible to get. I have also have been searching for a lilac perfume. Some I've liked but for some reason I didn't pull the trigger and buy them in a full size. Then by accident I saw the reviews here for pleasures intense and read an article here about lilacs that mentioned this fragrance. I decided to blind buy it. And I am so glad I did.

Pleasures Intense is probably the best lily, lilac, and peony bouquet fragrance I have smelled. It is the heavy smell of Easter lilies mixed with the soft spiciness of lilac and the green rosy freshness of peony. The base notes support the florals, they never take over. This perfume stays floral throughout its duration. I know most people will like this for spring only but I would wear this beauty year round and on a date. It has a romantic feeling about it. Very angelic, classic and beautiful. I think you have to really love floral fragrances to appreciate this. It is Soo very floral. A hothouse full of them.

rene.saller

A pretty lily-jasmine-lilac concoction--I wouldn't have guessed it to be a flanker of Pleasures, which I also like; it reminds me more of Beyond Paradise than Pleasures, but I'm relieved it's in the Pleasures bottle and not the one they're sticking BP in these days. The Pleasures bottle isn't a work of art, by any means, but it's functional and pleasant to hold, which automatically makes it superior to most of the "classic" EL bottles (the Cinnabar bottle came apart in my hands moments after I attempted to spray it; the Azurée bottle, which is of a similar design, also looks like it's not long for this world and will probably require transfer to another bottle, too). I do wish they'd just come up with new fragrance names instead of making flankers, but I suppose that's what the luxury line is for, and the luxury line names all sound like bougie weed strains.

Update: I just compared this with Aerin Fleur de Peony, which I received as a sample, and Pleasures Intense outperforms it in every way while also smelling more distinctive, even though it's not an especially distinctive fragrance. Fleur de Peony is way more expensive and doesn't deserve its lovely (no doubt relatively costly) sandalwood base; it's just like a slight variation on Miss Dior Rose n'Roses or OG Delina, with maybe a whiff of Oscar Flor. I don't dislike FdP, but I would have felt cheated if I'd blind-bought a bottle. Pleasures Intense, if more expensive than OG Pleasures, is still a bargain, like most of the fragrances under the EL imprint. I also think I'm getting more peony in OG Pleasures than I am in the drydown of Aerin Fleur de Peony.

I'm really enjoying the lovely maple-wood base. I expected it to smell more like maple syrup, but it's just a sweetish woody, slightly cedary smell, a bit like sandalwood.

Update: Wearing again today, I wonder how the hell there can be no lilac listed among the floral notes. It certainly smells like lilac to me, and I love the scent of lilac, so I'm glad this scent comes through so strongly on my skin. I have been borderline obsessed with lilac fragraces, maybe because it's winter, and they are such a quintessential spring fragrance to me. Insert T.S. Eliot allusions as you see fit!

ACunit

Not a perfume for me as I am a young man but my mother really loves floral fragrances and this really hits the spot, much better than the regular pleasures when it comes to smelling floral. If you like pleasures but want to make out more of the floral notes and smell like a flower, go for this!

Moonami

I blind bought this intense version since Pleasures used to be one of my signature scents back in the day. i think I outgrew Pleasures and gave the intense version a go. Too strong and pungent even as a room spray.

I think I should wait a bit and let it macerate then give it another try and if I still hate it I'll give it away. My family are always happy when I declutter my perfumes collection and bring it to them!

Adorable fragrance!! Has it been discontinued?

🗣Estee Lauder Pleasures Intense edp:

This Is A True Masterpiece Of A Fragrance!!, Once Like "Estee Lauders Beautiful" (The Perfume For Brides) Was Before Reformulation's Ruined That One!! This Should Have Defiantly Been A Stand Alone Fragrance, And Certainly NOT Named Pleasures Intense!! (FOR IT's NOTHING LIKE THE OG PLEASURES AT ALL) The Perfect Name For This Beauty Would Have Been "Floral Dreams Or Floral Dreamer/Floral Interlude/ Floral Prelude/Floral Escapes/Even Floral Pleasures"!! So If You Love Your Strong Florals, Snap This One Up Before It's Gone With The Wind!! But Hopefully That Will NEVER Happen Anytime Soon!! Aa I Think That Estee Lauders Pleasures Remains One Off Their All Time Best Selling Perfumes!!!

PerfumeUser2023

Very flowery, quality blended, and a more intense version of the non- intense version.
More sweetness, with no sourness.
Transitions from one ingredient to another is smooth, because it' s sweet to sweet, but it's different kinds of sweetness.

I think that its smaller brother (non- intense) does a better job being fresh, but this one has its own personality/ character that can be a nice add to someone's collection.

Lucid Dreamer

Ignore the clowns (e.g., domarch and xoxo_marcel). This fragrance is NOT generic, it’s NOT fruity, it’s NOT cheap smelling, and its longevity is literally eternal. Now we’ve got that out of the way… this rich and exquisite floral fragrance is like someone has juiced a million different flowers and poured the liquid into a bottle. It’s such a pretty scent that makes me think of playing in a garden filled with flowers wet with dew when I was a child. It’s magically nostalgic, a fairytale, a dream… and it lasts forever. A fragrance masterpiece in a stunningly elegant bottle.

perfumelovere

I really liked this scent on my Dad's neighbor. When I check out the notes I'm not surprised it appealed to me. I am fond of lily, peony, and jasmine. I wouldn't pay full price but I'd pick up a bottle if I found it discounted at TJ Maxx. The last time I tried the OG I found it way too potent in a not good way. My nose almost burned by so many notes competing with each other and there is a musty ash tray undertone in the original that is not present in this flanker.

Tantah1

The best out of the Pleasures line. Asiatic Lily is freshly cut from the the garden. Love this. Well thought out floral. No weirdly disturbing base notes. So happy my favorite beauty store, BG in NYC, has it in stock.

XOXO_marcel

Slightly fruity, slightly sweet, heavy on the mixed florals. Sophisticated and ultra feminine. The pink bottle is a good representation of the scent inside. Compared with the original Pleasures this is far more youthful, although I can see it appealing to women of all ages.

It's nice, but keep in mind that it's somewhat generic. While that's not a bad thing, you may already own something like this. It's not a must-have if you already have a soft fruity floral in your collection.

Mimithenoynoy

I have just put it on and I smell like a big bunch of flowers. 💐 Sooo goood 🥰 I love flowers ♥️

suzanne_ronald

Luminous Lily & Lilac...

This is the lily scent-trail that Antony chases and falls hopelessly in love with in Bridgerton Season 2. The pied piper of lily scents, this beauty is also an evoked lilac scent that opens with slightly green lily that continues, shedding its green facets, into a sweet, buttery floral heart resting on a vanillic, resinous base with maple touches. The lily here has a velvety, lush quality that fills the air, leaning to lilac. Growing up we had lilac bushes in the yard, and this is the closest scent to that exact smelll I've ever smelt (if you don't believe me click the link to the lilac article on this page under news). The other notes are there, including lily, but they're building the lilac. Well above average performance, with amazing projection, this is a longtime love for me.

Contrast to Pleasures (OG) Estee Lauder:
Reviewers have noted that PI could have been a stand-alone rather than a flanker, as there isn't much in common with the original. Predominantly a lily of the valley scent, the original is greener, and sharper to my nose, with more aquatic tones. Although many people love it, I could take or leave Pleasures (OG), but Pleasures Intense is a longtime favourite.

Overall: Well above average performance and a beautiful lily-lilac scent profile. It's a longtime love for me that I'll always want in my collection. Enjoy!

Nataliemarie

This is SO STUNNING! Way better than the OG. LOVE it!

saho93

This is better than regular Pleasures. I think it is more intensely floral with lily and Ylang Ylang. Very pretty scent. Regular Pleasures, which is far more popular than this flanker, is a bit too aquatic for me.

I thought that older people like me who like original versions of EL perfumes would love this. But I was surprised when a young woman who looked like a teenager complimented on the scent.

Yes, I realize I am stereotyping, but EL perfumes can be heavy, which some may equate to more mature women. These days I like delicate, subtle scents, but this one is very lovely.

Spectacular. Gorgeous. 10/10

Bonus: if you want longevity, this lasts quite long, impressively so.

Update: 09/20/2023. I have been wearing different scents for several months and sprayed this again today. And oh my goodness; it’s so beautiful. One of my favorite perfumes.
Love love. 🥰🌹💐

Lolilolita

It smells like old flowers..
Weak longevity and sillage

Alces Alces

I agree with the reviewer below who suggests Pleasures Intense should've been a standalone rather than a flanker. It's not much like the original Pleasures at all. This should have been called "Pollen." It smell exactly like the pollen in a waxy white Easter lily. Or maybe "Floraison" or "Stamens" or "Dust of Spring" or "Lily Dust." The name "Pleasures Intense" could have a wry risqué connotation, but the fragrance is purity itself.

Actually, "Purity" would have been the perfect name.

This is a powerful lily bomb. If you adore lilies, get this before it disappears. I get maybe 10% peony and 20% a mixture of some of the other notes such as ylang ylang and jasmine which gives it a soapy twang -maybe maple? - but 70% is LILIUM LONGIFLORUM. This is so amazing and beautiful if you love lilies. Right up there with Baiser Vole, the desideratum of lily perfumes.

Some people dislike the smell of lilies because there is a fleshy quality almost like salty ham in lilies. They are a fleshy flower. I love lilies.

Anamandy

I smelled this on a woman as I was out and about shopping one day. I was actually surprised when she told me that it was a flanker of Pleasures. I would have never guessed in a million years as it didn't smell anything like the OG or even bring it to mind. While Pleasures is a cool green floral that's almost aquatic on me, this is a full-on floral that's so different it really should have been its own perfume instead of a flanker. Heavily floral with a fabulous, very creamy lily leading the way. It is not dense or overwhelming thanks to the benzoin in the base, which gives fluffy weightlessness to this scent. The styrax and maple leaf adds earthy, woody undertones, buoyed with creamy smoothness by the barest trace of vanilla. There's a freshness to this scent thanks to the black currant, that doesn't add excessive fruitiness, but just a little sweetness, roundness, and lift to the florals. While the OG is an ice queen, this is the total opposite. There is something very warm here; an ambery quality, that adds a lot of richness and depth. Possibly the benzoin or a combination of notes? Whatever it is contributes to the overall effect as if you are smelling a flower garden in full bloom at their most potent, lush, and sweet on a warm, spring day. It really is a showstopper!
I've since purchased a used bottle and am so glad I did. I love it so much; I consider it one of the top five best purchases I've made all year.

Speaking of years, I want to wish a Happy New Year to All My Fellow Perfume Lovers!!! I hope 2022 is the most fabulous, scent-filled year of your life!

zebra782

My wife wore this without me knowing and happened to walk right by me, it smelled like walking into a jasmine garden on a cool autumn evening, one of the most beautiful and delicate things I've ever smelled.

spicypepper_77

This scent remind me so much of flowers.... a whiff of it sends me womanly vibes ;)
Good for daytime, (just a few spray though it can be a bit overpowering), also for night time (add a few more, haha!)

It lives up to its name.... intense....

RandomPatterned

Yes, intense - I over sprayed - a bit headache inducing. I don't regularly wear full on floral but if I did I would wear this, it is the best of spring. I like the lily, rose and middle notes. I don't find the peony. I can only compare to the peonies which are about to show up in my yard, their scent is subtle. I was hoping it was a bit reminiscent of the original Pleasures with some lilac. I will revisit when this settles down. Hopefully some of the base notes will emerge.

HeavyBeatsUK

This has a 90s Laura Ashley vibe to me, it could smell like one of their original perfumes but I can’t entirely remember theirs. Just that they were beautiful heavy florals appropriate for the time.

I wanted a strong, youthful, fresh floral for my wedding day in 2022 (planning well ahead) but this is more of a strong, creamy floral like a face cream.

There’s nothing wrong with it - it’s perfectly lovely, especially for the spring time. It has the performance I’m looking for.

It will go in the “maybe” pile as I might be able to layer it with something like Amouage’s Honour or freshen it with a green or an aquatic.

Regardless of it not being quite what I was looking for, it’s a strong contender for the big day.

fyetan

Lily and rose, very direct and a little bit sharp. It's got a bit of a cardboard scent in the background.
Like if you put a bouquet in a box.

Not for me, but I can see how this may be a classic perfume.

PlanetGrl

I wore this in my early 20s and it never failed to draw attention and compliments. It's a breath of clean, floral fresh air that dries down to a pleasant sweetness.

amp4ever

One of the most beautiful things I’ve ever smelled in my life.

Nataliemarie

@ lilspils..It's def been reformulated. Nothing like it used to be. Smells very cheap compared to what it was. Such a shame..they are ALL doing it to save a dime. Yet giving themselves a bad name, as new companies pop up everyday. Sad to lose this.

delightme5

Sharp initially. You might need time and patience to appreciate the goings on. And you must like a floral in the first instance but eventually all components pull together and i dont think its so floral after all.
Yes it has a throbbing airy yet heavy persistence - it even has some thread of Miracle lancome to my nose. Strangely, i find Miracle harsher and sharper at times.

In one wearing , i kept a big tester card of it sprayed in my back pocket and it obviously filtered onto my skin as well. Later that day my head turned - i looked at a basic supermarket store assistant from 5 feet way, I thought wow ! .. now whatever they're wearing works and is SEXY on them. Open, wild, and crisply green.
Then i remembered, pulled out the tester card. Yes.! Pleasures Intense !

Had deliberated for 12 months. Yes i bought it !
Golen rule with this one though : Tread gently and you might love it.
A bit like Escape(Ck), many wore it but i only found a few who knew how to wear it and make it smell gorgeous.

AmaVar

So pretty =) To me it smells just like a ROSE and a BREATH OF FRESH AIR. Such a PRETTY / BEAUTIFUL / FRESH / FEMININE fragrance.

Day & Night

Jong Sheng Hui

This was my first Estee Lauder perfume and my husband love me wearing it on date night. Love love

Salalome

Was one of the first fragrances I owned! I absolutly lived it cuz it smells exactly like the soape I had to blow bubbles with as a kiddo.

lrnonken

A light scent after a sharp opening, at dry-down after an hour it is a pleasant soapy floral with moderate projection, just a faint skin scent at 2.5 hours still hanging on subtely at 5 hours, gone at 8 hours. A nice scent I will definitely reach for again but I'd not call it "intense".

MixedTastes

Reviewed an age ago. Don’t wear it so much these days. Still a classy fragrance. A fresh, sweet/sour floral, hits the spot on hot nights. Annick Goutal or Penhaligon could’ve put their names to this. Feminine, powerful, lots of fresh flowers and a little spice. Classy.

yuliannart

Yet another white floral that I cannot wear. I keep smelling my scarf and my arm, and I like the clean fresh crispiness . I can smell the peony that I was after in this perfume. I smell the lilly, but it turns bitter and covers the back of my throat and nose with a metallic-tasting film, that prevents me from smelling anything else but the bitterness at ALL time! It has been 7 hours now, but it won't relent. The first couple hours I felt like I was being chased by a huge tail everywhere I went. Again, the smell is nice, strong and long-lasting, but way too sharp for me. It does remind me of Modern Muse, and actually of Lovely by S.J.Parker, both of which I cannot wear.

karine.vanesse

After applying, I get this fresh mixture of green lily, peony and ylang-ylang, fresh but a little bit sweet. After 3 hours, I can smell a sweet and beautiful rose. I didn't know I liked how a lily smelled until I tried this fragrance by accident.

lilspils

I used to wear this back in 2003-4, but today I tried it and no way is it the same fragrance. I'd bet a tasty fiver that this has been reformulated. This was the scent that all of the EL bronzing and tanning products used to smell like. PI has gone from a clean/tropical scent to a horrid floral mess.

dglightblue

This is a very nice floral, this isn’t white floral like some that go bitter, on me anyway.

At first this is like putting your nose in a posey of white flowers that have stems/leaves also.

Rounded and ... white floral

After about an hour I get a slight slight sweet edge, and a little of a ... possibly play dough tinge to the overall beautiful white flowers.

This is a winter test by the way.
It performs very well on me, I’m not massively a straight floral wearer, I enjoy this very much.

Similar fragrance might be:
modern muse Estée Lauder

Glam jasmine by Michael Kors - though this ended up having a bitterness in the dry down on me! Might be different on you.

... Michael by m kors, though not the ‘same’ it’s a white floral.

... hmm I’m wracking my brain here, you get the drift.

WildDove

Pleasures Intense is one of my favorite Lauders. I have the vintage. I get an impression of carnation, lily, vanilla, and fresh cut wood.

justfloral

One of the best lily perfumes ever. Like a big colorful bunch of asiatic, trumpet, hybrid lilies + hint of lilac. Love it.

Bellarossel

Compared to the original Pleasures perfume, this perfume does indeed lean towards a more 'intense' image. I use this perfume when I want to feel sexy, for its floral scent is more.. 'mature'? It is, however, not too overbearing in its scent.

The woody scent bothers me a bit after a few hours; sometimes it smells like a sweaty armpit, but you know it's not :P

Gwenz

I was so hoping this would be my peony heaven, and from the notes given here I really should have loved it. But no, sadly. It goes really harsh and musty on my skin, so saddening. Perhaps I'll try it again one day, in warmer weather.

MixedTastes

I'm not a fan of the original Pleasures particularly, but this is addictive. Intense pleasure indeed.

I spray one spray on my wrist and one on my décolletage after my evening shower when I want an intoxicating, intensely floral and super-femme fatale vibe at night.

Very strong, big sillage and maximum longevity...so go easy, ladies!

jeffandgoldie2

I am wearing this right now!I sprayed one(only one!) spray of this on right wrist. One spray of the Exotic on left...I smell both 12 hours later quite strongly!Exotic dried down to something pleasurable & fresh, but that's another review)...Not Pleasures Intense!I am finding the maple nauseating & this is from an EL fan!
I am a heavy sprayer 'usually' and love strong scents.Pleasures Intense is 'that'(very strong )but maple & vanilla are what I am getting from start to finish with Intense...no flowers...no fruits...nothing else!I smell pancakes coming from my right side and though I do love to eat pancakes, I don't care to smell that syrupy sweetness from sun up to sundown! This seriously lasts beyond what you would imagine! You will be able to smell yourself the whole time, on very little sprayed on...Definitely get your money's worth from PI!
If it was a natural sweet from ripe fruit or flowers freshly cut, I could love the longevity of this frag.Silage is amazing!I thought knowing had the best of these qualities & Knowing has been my every day fragrance, for quite some time now, but if Knowing smelled of sweet food the whole journey wearing it, I could not wear it!
It seems EL was hoping to please the audience today, who love gourmand fragrances & I must admit she did a wonderful job! This is well made, if one desires candy sweet type fragrances!

Personally, I could not wear this again.I am not getting any flowers or fruit notes at all! It does not lift my mood, as lets say, oakmoss does, or freshly cut flowers & juicy fruit! On me PI just smells of dried up maple syrup with vanilla in it...It irritates me, instead of being a mood lifter, for I feel too full in my stomach from maple! So far, Pleasures Intense & one other frag by EL gave me this type of feeling. The other being Sensuous nude...That on me, seemed coconut and vanilla all the way...(another review when I get over this one!)

BTW I adore the original first formulation of Pleasures parfum! Absolutely love it!

PI is not at all similar to Pleasures! Therefore,if you didn't like the Original Pleasures, you may like this type of a fragrance!
Don't be afraid to try it if you like gourmand type frags, for you may adore the candy sweet maple scent which takes one spray, to last you until the next day!

Not to mention you wont be able to forget you have it on as PI wont let you forget she is there!
I am hoping the shower I am getting into right now, is going to get Pleasures Intense to leave! She seems to be clinging to me & too sickeningly sweet for me to be around much longer!
I envy those who smelled all those different flowers from Pleasures Intense!

witch_mum

On my skin, there is a creamy scent at the end of the day - that is my favorit part from the sillage.

Blossom Dreams

Amazing fragrance. Smells like a million flowers have been crushed, juiced, and poured into the pretty purply bottle. It's sharp but soft at the same time. This has to be the ultimate floral fragrance. It's extremely powerful, pretty, uplifting, and very addictive. Lasts for hours and has big silage. Words can't describe how intense this fragrance is. Love it!

Arlene-Beatrix

Harsh floral, quite intense, sharp and a bit metallic. Not totally bad, but not good either.

DarlingNikki

This is the first perfume that actually made me start sneezing like I was having an allergic reaction! I love the way it smells on paper, but on my skin the lily becomes so loud and abrasive it reminds me of Lily-of-the-valley. Skin chemistry is so maddening because on paper this is nicer to me than the original Pleasures, but the original Pleasures turns out better on me (though I don't like that peppery turn it goes into).

Edemay

This really is intense. It's lasts and lasts, especially on clothes.
To me it smells very close to Hermes jour.
But through the dry down it softens a bit and reminds me of lys soleia.
It's a very complex fragrance and great for lily and Jasmin lovers.
And i smell no peony

Nataliemarie

To me this is a VERY hard fragrance to describe. I smell a STRONG Flower for sure. Not very sweet, but a different kind of "good" Fragrance. This smells NOTHING like any of the other Pleasures line at all. I wore the Original for years, to the point I am soo over it. These 2 are day & night. My 2 faves are Exotic, yet the newest Aqua is by far my very favorite one. I do not have a "signature Scent" b/c I have a ton of perfumes, but the Aqua would def qualify as one, if I ever did. Intense is a once in a while, different, change it up kind of good fragrance.

juliajulep

this is like having a frangipani bouquet shoved in your face. its super floral and sexy. sillage and longevity is amazing.

Moonsecret

Oh this is so beautiful!!! Incredibly stunning! I cannot describe it......it's....words fail me!!!

It's exquisite!

Angel Cat

I love Pleasures, and I also love Pleasures Intense. This one is brilliant - bitter and sweet. Beautiful bitterness, from the cassis and green lily I suppose? oh, and the maple wood too...and glorious sweetness from the other flowers, with the vanilla oozing its way in, and then staying. Everything stays, and for ages.

It's a gorgeous perfume.

polkadot27

I loved this perfume in 2011-2012 I use to go into Debenhams and soak myself in it every time yet I never bought it. I don't know why- Maybe because it's expensive and never on sale, maybe because as much as I like it I find it too much of a happy carefree scent and therefore too casual for the price as beautiful as it is. I probably will buy it one day- it is lovely fresh floral. I can't believe I forgot about this scent- I loved it and I wanted it for so long, I use to always test it. I must remember to test it again next time I am in town- who knows I might end up finally buying. Either way one of my favorite classic floral fragrances- lovely. Good for all ages too whether 18 or 88 this scent is good. Doesn't fall into the mature or girly category- just feminine fresh floral- suitable for all- it is a nice spring scent in my opinion rather than summer or autumn.

I don't like the original pleasures, so when looking for a new fragrance this wasn't even on my radar. I went to smell a few at Macy's and came across it on the EL counter.. WOW. Why have I not known about this sooner. I think because I don't like the original so I thought I wouldn't like this either. It really is gorgeous sexy, makes me happy to wear. It smells cozy and gorgeous for hours..

Southern Blonde

Mmmm mmm. Smells good. Unlike the first Pleasures which is a green-floral this is a sweet more subtle powdery floral on me with pronounced peony, rose, ylang, tiare and jasmine and even a bit of maple. The flowery smells is very nice and because of the vanilla in this fragrance it's powdery and more youthful. Easy to wear. Relaxing, comfortable. Toward the end it becomes warmer and richer like there should be more notes in it but I think that's a benzoin or styrax. It doesn't smell like the first Pleasures but I think they are the same in that both are florals. Very pretty.

Kharnak Rex

had a chance to try this at work tonight.

Pure, straight up, juicy lily, white floral, with green notes, like a flower bouquet. Very strong and accurate. if you like flower bouquets, this is it. sweetens out as it dries to where the fruity notes show more.

sillage: modest, near the skin
longevity: pretty ok, stays very feminine and pleasant for a long time.

Pastelstreets

If you have allergies... Do not blind buy this!
It smells like a nice hand soap though.

Justpeachy007

It's not in the notes, but this is purple lilac. A fresh cut shove your nose into it and take your biggest sniff lilac. Which actually seems to be a floral note that is difficult for perfumers to replicate. Imo. This perfume is very sharp. If it were toned down just a slight bit I would love this perfume. My childhood home was fenced with a solid wall of purple lilac bushes. To this day I can smell them with just a thought. If you love lilac you would really like this. But there is a top bite.

LinzB

I love this fragrance. I have worn it ever since they introduced it - found it in the duty free shop coming back from Toronto and loved it. People comment on it when I wear it and usually love the smell. It is getting hard to find in the UK so I hope they aren't planning to delete it!

birdy

I forgot that i loved it tooooo much young! Until a friend said me the last week that it's her best perfume! very nice re-descovery! I want it now! sparkling without being toomuch fruity, sunny, cozy, feminine, ejoying, any risk to turning or changing the smell. a linear pyramid that don't reveal others notes that can disturb the hapyness of first pshiits, thank's god!thak's estee lauder! it's rare!

Nikkafragrance

This fragrance has enormous sillage and longevity on me. It's too much even for cold weather. Yesterday I wore 4 sprays of it and I regret it. Next time I'll try with a single spritz. It reminds me of Pleasures, but there's something too sharp for my nose, I assume it's the green lily. On my skin Intense is like a blast of exotic flowers and fruits, like a cross between the original Pleasures and Pleasures Exotic. Next time I have to be cautious with this one.

cafe au lait

It is so comforting to wear this. I used it for long time without being bored of. I love it. It is so different than original Pleasures which I don't like.

Naureen

I got the 5ml set for free. I often get headache when i smell this fragrance from the bottle..smells artificial & too sharp. On the skin i get overloaded smell of white floral, lily & spices

i like estee lauder skincare products but the fragrances are not for me

emmarion

This was my first ever real perfume! My mom bought it for me when I was 14 and I wore it every day for the next two years. So it will always have a special place in my heart beacause of that. I never wear it anymore simply because it reminds me too much of that particular time in my life, but I always keep a bottle of it around anyway, for nostalgia's sake! Such a beautiful smell. Floral, sweet, innocent. It's gentle and romantic and innoffensive. Lovely.

ladynaqua

On me this gets me the most compliments plus I can smell myself and not in the headache inducing manner but in a pleasurable way .. I can smell myself and feel fresh , clean and content .. However, I have read the reviews about this being way too strong and this might be the case but recently my sinus made me far less sensitive to strong smells .. especially the scents I like and I certainly like the way this perfume smells ..
It falls under floral / green genre no doubt about it ..
the silage as i mentioned is great people can smell it on me for up to 4 hours after spraying it and they compliment me for it..This has become a staple as to me it doesn't get too much like other perfumes I own and I didn't get tired or bored with it which is really great for me and very few perfumes achieve that ...this is a keeper...

superlicious

Peony ... Sweet peony . Very pleasant, fresh, feminine, perfect for spring/summer. Long lasting. I love it

Kittt

It is too heavy. when i first tried it, i thought this is absolutely lovely. but after i bought it and started to use it, i knew this is horrible for everyone in the same bus with me.
Smells too artificiel

enigmaticessence

This is a little like fabric softener, but more natural. Comforting and well blended, so much so I cannot smell most of the notes.

Interestingly, this smells like a stronger version of the original Pleasures on my skin and lasted much better. I think it would be easy to overlook this little gem because it doesn't 'Wow'. It gently envelopes, like dear friends who are there just when you need them. It's a perfect all-occasion, or just-for-yourself scent. Comfort in a bottle.

Moderate longevity and sillage.

telayla

This is my absolute favorite "floral". It's not wimpy or super "green" and it lasts quite a while, better than most of the florals I've worn.

With that being said, since this is my favorite floral, it should be easy for me to describe the opening and dry down and to be honest, I just can't. Quite a few of you have talked about strong Peony, but maybe my nose doesn't work. I've smelled blooming Peonies and to me they don't have much of a scent. I even remember remarking to a friend that for such a gorgeous flower I wish it had a stronger fragrance. To me it is just a delicious combination of Lily, Rose, Jasamine and Honeysuckle (not listed). It blooms just beautifully where all these flowers sing in harmony with none taking center stage but all together just gorgeous! The longer I wear it the spicier it gets (maybe my chemistry because mostly all go that way).

The silage is amazing, but not overwhelming or cloying or headache inducing, just this lovely bouquet. I get asked all the time what I am wearing when I spritz on this lovely! Please please please Estee Lauder, never stop making this! This is my signature spring/summer scent and when I'm feeling depressed in the winter, it's my guilty pleasure, because it apply liberally and then just enjoy it. It always makes me feel better.

sandye1991

The moment I smelled this I was taken back to a sunny spring day in Jefferson, Texas and I bought it on the spot. It brings to mind iris, honeysuckle and magnolia blossoms. It does that miracle of being unashamedly floral without being too sweet, cloying or smelling like grandmother... I adore this fragrance and it has been my top choice for an all around anytime perfume since it was created. My local shop told me it has been discontinued, but I can't live with that loss, so I choose not to believe it.

lovealwaysalisa

I love the original pleasures. I got this as a gift in a gift set that included it with a bottle of the original. I like it. It makes me think of summer nights so that's when I tend to want to wear it. Screams summer ...maybe spring.

missafrica

I had this a Christmas Gift Set years ago.... it is delightful, beautiful, fresh and feminine. I much prefer it to the original Pleasures. Layering it with the body products just made me feel wonderfully fragrant all over. Love it.

llburris

*swooooooooon* I just received this today. Just taking it out of the box it was mailed in I could smell the fragrance. How devine it smells! I am praying it works with my chemistry. Regular Pleasures does so I am hope-hope-hoping :o)

pi^2

This is the most natual-smelling floral I know. On my skin, it stays like that, which means I smell like flowers, not like a woman wearing a perfume that smells like flowers. It has this bitter-sweet very natural smell of peony and lily. I like it, but it makes me feel uncomfortable beacause it doesn't blend with my skin and remains somehow disconnected. As others have said, longevity and sillage are great.

magnolia_xx

I once made the mistake of buying this fragrance, as I loved Pleasures and I thought "wow, this is Pleasures Intense, so it has to be even better!".
I was so wrong.
It could be called a twin to "Beyond Paradise". Sweet, sickening, cloying, it clings to your skin and it never goes away, like the "sticky" feeling on a hot and humid day.
Beware: white flowers and indolic notes ahead!

babypink_fairish

It's an intense blooming bouquet of white flowers and greens. I smell strong presence of jasmine and it's very prominent that a little spritz can last a long long long day (yes, I meant the 3x "long"). Too strong to my taste. Maybe it suits more mature woman. Reminds me of my mum's and grandma's preference of perfume because they like strong smelling perfumes.

bonnie52

I absolutely love Pleasures Intense! It's a bold scent that lasts all day! It smells like a whole bouquet of flowers and woods at the same time…mmmmmm! This is a pretty strong scent; only need a couple sprays to get great sillage so the bottle lasts a long time.

surra

Gutted...yes it reminded me of Pleasures but this one had a dominant smell of Peony witch I normally like but it was overwhelming!!! A blind buy and I will sell it on!

LadyPilot

I think I smell lilac here... Not listed, yet present...

PLUMPIE

Fresh, uplifting and beautiful, for some reason it smells like sweet peas on me. I cannot win with the Pleasures line however, the original makes me sneeze like nothing else and irritates me to no end, and this version smells amazing to my nose but makes all those around me sneeze like mad. Not for me unfortunately though I loved the scent personally.

asher.jessie

LUXURIOUS. It's a bomb of fresh, crisp, peppery peony. The lily is quite loud as well, but it's the copilot for the massively strong peony note. To prevent floral overload, the maple really does a good job of sweetening things up.

I've been searching for this for quite a while, and I happened to find a bottle tucked away at the Lancome corner in my local Macy's....the sales associate said she purposefully hides it because she wanted it to go to someone who would really value it. So I definitely had to snag it.

I wear the original Pleasures all the time, and I even ventured into the realm of Pleasures Exotic....this one is quite similar to Pleasures, yet not as pleasant and snowy.

Intense has a much more spicy accord, which I can attribute to the styrax note and the combination of jasmine and lily that ends up becoming indolic in a beautiful way.

It's basically like Pleasures, dress-to-kill....think "Pleasures: Burlesque edition." It's quite lovely.

id

Very intensive and very heavy for me. I guess it just doesn't work right on my skin. I highly recommend not to over spray.

EnglishCountryGarden

Oh, this is lovely. Wait... In Very Small Doses.
I don't think I have ever been so enchanted with a floral 'fume as I am with this one. It's very tempting to lash it onto the skin, but please don't. Another "less is more" juice for the list. Example - I was decanting a little into a vial for a very good friend. A tiny bit from the neck of the bottle got onto my fingers. Two days and much washing up later, it was still there, fading, but there. Now that is a bargain. You can get some good mileage out of this. I prefer to use the body lotion to be honest, it's still beautiful but not "in your face". It's a lovely, youthful roll in the flower bed. I'm a bugger for getting headaches over those heavy lily notes, and this does hold the risk of feeling like you have been forcefully beaten about the head and neck with a very ripe bunch of lilies. But hell, I own a bottle, and a bottle of the body lotion, so it's a winner for me.

ritaramirezz

I used to own this perfume and wish I still had it. Pleasures Intense, smells like you are walking through a garden of lilacs. Those purple and white flowers that grown in bushes. A lovely fragrance if you are into floral perfumes. I also do get the whiff of maple and vanilla as it starts to wear off throughout the day. Very long lasting too. Well worth the money.

katiesweetpea

I got a bottle after smelling this on a work mate. Every lunch hour I would absent mindedly ask her - what's that perfume- after a week we would smile coz - here it comes- Pleasures intense-
I love the floral note of course but the exotic original unusal cheery note that comes with it was so uplifting.

annasmells

Most authentic floral scent I have ever tried. It almost creates the effect of seasonal allergies- spring and summer scent for sure. It can take a leafy route on the skin. Sentimental value is attached to this one and I will never throw it away.

Ninula

it was started a sparkle of white floral, and very quickly went to sth woody. i honesly can smell .. sawdust.

goldpoint

For me it's mainly floral. When I wear it I feel like I am rolling in a meadow in the summer and get the scent of all the uncut spring-summer flowers from the Earth under the hot shining sun. It's just pure pleasure.

stela.kumati

NICE..UNFORGETED

Talia

I am especially attracted by the maple, pancake syrup in that I would like more maple here. Happy, careless scent, yet classy.

ly3688

When I smell this perfume, I feel I'm in the garden of lilies. It's very beautiful fragrance, but I don't think it's sensual enough. Well, honestly, i guess it is not the perfume for hot dates. I said this because it won't really make the men take in deep breath of this fragrance in the lift like when I wear YSL.

lspreack

I found a small travel size bottle of this while I was cleaning out my bathroom. I put two spritzes on my wrist. At first it was just a burst of straight alcohol. I thought to myself, "oh, it's too old." Went about my business, and sometime later this beautiful feminine smell developed. I could not help but smelling my wrists thinking this is why I had liked the fragrance in the first place. It is very floral, but to my nose theres a sophistication there. I did take it out of my rotation because unfortunately it gave me headaches. I might give it a go again or try Pleasures. Would be a shame to eliminate something so pleasant.

pattyk

I simply love this perfume. It smells fresh and clean and "alive". It is not over powering and is not offensive to others. I get compliments on this one all the time. It is potent so a little spray will do you. It is my fall back perfume because I have a lot of them and when I want to be just me....I wear this one. Good for day or night, winter, fall, spring and summer. It's a keeper.

French Boudoir Doll

The reviews here are so flippy ...according to tastes, naturally....But Also...this is really a Winter Fragrance. To me I can not bare it when the temperature rises...but I love it when it is quite cold outside. I looked at my bottle today reminancing when I bought it. It was Winter, and I was rediscovering perfumes again...
I am more of a spicey, animalic, dark Rose...or Vintage Violet type of doll...I loke Florals...but need them to have UMPH! This is a very "Pretty" Floral...and maybe I chose the Intense...because I need it to be. It is not Animalic like Pure Poison....But Ravishingly Pristine and Propper...with a Naughty side that leaves Curiosity to the imagination.
***** My favorite places to spray this? Not on my neck! Do not want to pass out from the intensity...but on the back of my neck or betwixt my breasts...

CHIMAMANDA

When i first spraayed on my wrist, it was like "arrgh! to strong and heady", but after sometime (say like 10mins) i passed my wrist infront of me and got this deliciously sweet n spicy fragrance. its a keeper, for those special occasions, but to b sprayed lightly though. Can b used for d office too; one of my favorites. And please its in No way like CD J'dore...at all!!

andy1959

For me this is the best of all Pleasures. It is elegant, special, modern but could be, not for everyone. It last`s long, without losing his quality. I love it, on me its a great gorgeous scent. This is realy not mainstream, what i like.

BettyNoir

I like florals, I like Pleasures (original), but I did not like this at all.

The fruit sugar and intensity of sweet sickly flowers and blackcurrants just didn't give up. Very sickly and way too "intense". I didn't feel it was related to Pleasures at all and washed it off. Dreadfully sickly and stayed with me for hours, even though I didn't want it to!

umum_smellsgood

Being such a fan of Pleasures and Pleasures Delight I decided to give this one a try. As soon as I sparyed it on I thought, all I need now is pancakes. Too much of the maple, woodsey scent on my skin. I gave it to a friend whom it smelled totally different on, glad it worked for her. As for myself, I don't want to smell like maple syrup all day.

redrose

one of my favourites.Always get complements when I ware them on. Very feminine and flowery fragrance. Long lasting too.

ChristopherRiley

A very generic mid-mature floral which is very commonplace and for day to day use..

I applied 6 heavy sprays

0 - 2 hours. 1.5 foot projection. Strong floral which is very common place and perhaps as generic as it gets. There is nothing that stands out, very safe bet. I would personally get very boored of this very quickly. Ages 43-58

2 hours - 4 hours - 10 inch projection. Strong, linear

4-5 hours - 4 inch projection

4 hours - 6 hours. 1-2 inch projection. Occasional wafts up to 5 inches

6-9 hours. Close to skin

Its as if you want to say to this frag, "take a risk, gamble, live life in the fast lane"! Instead this is safe and should have been called "Estee Lauder Sensiblle Intense"

DocTales

Oh wow, this is special. Peony is usually the goody-two-shoes kind of flower, very innocent and pink and lovely. This is a cute little pink peony, but with a lot of peppery sexiness! I could have sworn there were pink peppercorns in this one...it the perfect crossroad between lovely and sweet, yet deep, intense and sexy. Hot damn, Estee Lauder, never stop making this one!

PricklyAndHot

Charming, rather light, but intensive very floral fragrance on the woody base!

Most of all this fragrance smells peonies and lilies (also green lilies). These floral notes are very intensive. Mixed with the cassia note this floral bouquet smells fascinating. But there is also a very noticeable maple wood base in this fragrance. And I don't like it. As for me, I think that this maple wood note spoils the floral beauty of this fragrance. Maybe at the same time this note makes this fragrance more serious, but I wish it was maybe just less noticeable.

Anyway, I like this fragrance because of its bright floral bouquet, and especially because of the lilies notes.

ele83

lovely it's just lovely. supersexy!!! it works great for me.! my kind of scent

nazzy anne

last time i smelled it on 2003.than until now,the scent is still lingering in my mind!powerful fragrance!i really love floral scent.i keep bought a new bottle of perfume, but nothing compares to this one!<3 a lot! my future hubby will love this!

NABILA AZIZI

i justttttttttttttttt love it i feel many roses on me as i spray this perfume i feel just to love it more and more and i get so fresh its really sensual gud for u whn ur love with u its much much gud 100 out of 100

artsyrn

Happy! Sexy! Elegant! A very pretty, ultra feminine scent. It does not scream, but does command attention.

callred

Lilacs, pinks, lilies. This perfume lasts forever on me and I get some very poetic compliments on it. :) Two women actually followed me through a flower nursery trying to figure out which flower gave off such a "beautiful soft scent". One girl said I smelled like a summer morning. It is perfect for spring but when I need a burst of sunshine I spritz it on in the dead of winter.

orchid_84

Spraying this on, I get a heavenly blast of dewy, fresh, crisp flowers. Velvety fragrant petals, delicate leaves, and firm green stems. Pleasures Intense is the most intensive, realistic “bouquet of flowers” scent I have smelled yet. It is lush, green, moist, sweet, and all-around luscious. You get the natural sweetness of fresh flowers, but nothing cloying. Peonies and green lilies are the strongest notes by far. This perfume reminds me of being in a greenhouse full of fresh plants and flowers. It has that wonderful “humid” scent that a greenhouse has. It’s like putting your face right into a patch of spring flowers, while the morning dew is still hanging off the petals. All of this is a great experience.

The only thing that keeps me from classifying this as a “love” is the drydown. After Pleasures Intense has been on for a couple of hours, the florals disappear completely and the scent morphs into a soft, clean, fresh laundry scent. Certainly not a bad thing, but not something I enjoy. Although I get a hint of smooth sweetness from the vanilla, I don’t pick up on the styrax or maple at all. If only those gorgeous flowers stayed around! As it is, the drydown is just too bland to me.

All in all, this is a lovely fragrance. I would highly recommend trying it out, especially if you enjoy or don’t mind that “clean laundry musk” type of drydown.

Nkhouri

Intense indeed! A shower of flowers. Beautiful really but something made my nose sting...possibly the styrax?? It became way to heady for me, I had to give it away.

beckyboo

This perfume smells like a smack in the face with a fresh bouquet of flowers. It is one of the most beautiful perfumes I have ever smelled and is best when used in spring and summer.

redrose

one of my favourite fragrances.Always come back to this one when I got tired of all new modern scents recently created. When I were Pleasure Intense I know for sure nobody will smell the same like me and I always receive so many compliments(specially from men)

world911

I agree with stoian claudia and superlicious. Peony should be the name of this one. It is a very refreshing perfume, long long lasting and it gives you positive energy.

*From the ESTEE LAUDER sales manual*

Type: Lush Floral

KEY NOTES-
TOP: Green Lily, Le Charme peony, Cassis
HEART: Moroccan Rose, Pink Tiger Lily, Jasmine
BASE: Maple Wood, BENZOIN Crystals, Vanilla

Description: The lush, voluptuous floral scent of PLEASURES INTENSE sets a new fragrance trend. It is a modern interpretation of joyous sensuality with a luscious bouquet of velvety exotic flowers...

TWebb

I don't usually go for sweeter fragrances, but I was unusually attracted to this fragrances. I didn't want to like it but I did. It mellows to a moderately sweet floral but feels fresh on and lasts all day.

superlicious

I agree with stoian claudia.....A lot of peonies. It,s a light floral perfume, great for spring and summer. Delicate and feminin. And the colour of the bottle is really cute.

Amarilla

I think this fragrance is gorgeous and I don't find it too intense or heavy at all. Creamy, lovely, elegant floral. ( and i'm not a floral lover)
It is similar to the big sister Pleasures, only deeper and more caracteristic.
I don't really know how maple should smell but the drydown is my favourite part, so sexy and womanly.
I recommend it under 25 °C.

dmaw

This scent smells strongly of lilacs to me. Love it!!

deia

great fragrance and it lasts even after shower, I totally recommend it!!

onebadbaby

I wore this on my wedding day 7 years ago- the bridesmaids wore deep magenta dresses and I carried purple calla lilies and this scent complimented the day perfectly for me.

Crafter

When I wear this perfume, I get many complements from men. I love the light airy smell it gives off. This is a wear anytime kind of perfume that I will never get tired of. I love it!!

tenderhearted

This is so beautiful! I have an animal friendly roll-on oil from a lovely seller online, she makes gorgeous designer replicas.

This is very sweet, and I love it so much. It is very floral as one would guess. I am getting a strong heady lilac, even though no one here has listed it as a note. I also sense slightly, roses and peony.

I am thinking that the maple is what amps up the flowers, and makes them "intense". This is very strong, very potent to my senses. I have not found the resins yet,but they could very well be blended in such a flawless way,as to further sing out the flower notes.

I find this somehow powerful and delicate at the same time. I find it very unique, and utterly gorgeous. It is very sweet, and I feel like I happily fell asleep in a thick, dewy flower garden.

Yah-el

I really liked this scent the first time I smelt it. Pleasures Intense is one funky perfume (must be the maple) -- but I really like it. When I spray it on in the morning and come back later, the whole room smells heavenly. I can only hope that I smell as good when wearing it.

t_russell335

Oh my goodness! what a bright, potent floral. Like stuffing your nose into a fragrant full in-bloom flower. strong with LOTS of staying power. Brings back memories of my early teens..

the notes say it all.. potent, syrupy floral

Allegra

I do adore the Pleasures range, Exotic being my best loved choice of them, as it provides a good set of delightful and fresh florals. Intense lives up to its title since it is quite bold and loud to be "just" a floral fragrance. A woman who wears it certainly won't be ignored because of Intense's exquisite notes of peony and other flowers. Extra kudos for the simple yet elegant bottle that pleases my sense and appreciation of graceful designs. They're both kinda timeless, the bottle and its contents.

the perfume collector

roseamazinG!!!it doesnt last on me but i really like it, it has a very rich and expensive smell

xs

I bought this one a while ago and as much as I liked it at the store, I hated it at home. It was so strong, and gave me terrible headaches. I felt like I got a bugspray poisoning.
Luckily, the kind saleswoman replaced it for me even though I opened it.
Lesson learned - allways try for 24 h before you buy.

note: Strangely, it doesn't smell bad on other people.

ezdravkova

strangely enough, this smells to me like sweet pea, more sweet pea, and sweet pea only.. which I cannot find on the list of notes at all.. my body chemistry must be playing tricks on me there :)) but I love the fragrant beauty of sweet pea, so I certainly don't mind having it bottled ..
it's worth mentioning that this is the only member of the Pleasures family that I like - all the others are either too bland or too fruity to my nose..

kugkng

A sweet jasmine rose peony well-blend scent fresh and deep floral yet dewy...I feel like I've a pink and velvet aura shines out from me everytime I wear it.

tzoutzou78

weird but in my skin smells terible, and i ve had complaints wearing it.they told me i smelled like room fragrance,

missk

There is something about Estee Lauder fragrances that don't quite agree with my chemistry.

Pleasures Intense is fresh, flowery and certainly pleasant, but it is one of those scents that I'd imagine one to tire of quickly.

The opening turned rather bitter on my skin and was actually quite heavy and sticky. I disliked being shrouded in a cloud of this when I had only applied a small squirt to my wrist.

The heart of Pleasures Intense was a warmer yet smoother blend of florals, with the lily and jasmine creating that all too familiar 'bouquet of flowers' type of smell.

This isn't the type of fragrance that you would wear if you were to impress someone, especially the opposite sex. Pleasures Intense is more like the scent you would wear on a Summer's day while out walking the dog, sitting drinking cups of tea or digging around in the garden.

My advice, if you don't like heavy florals, stay away from this one.

melanie

On my skin turns to heavy oriental; intriguing blend of vanilla, maple and peony.
Tender and a bit difficult at the same time. I was rarely in the mood for this fragrance but I still think it's unusual and beautiful interpretation of peony, actually can not remember similar perfume. Unique, intense as the name says, retained on my skin for about 8 hours. I still prefer Pleasures, so fresh and inspiring throughout the day.
edit/ still missing that maple syrup aroma in dry down with velvet peony, lovely, unforgettable!

kylexora

at first time i smell it, i say it's nice. after half an hour, i return to estee lauder counter to purchase it at the same day!!! it velvety smells of floral and little spicy. it remind me of a bride room in my country. smell of new fabric plus essential oil. just nice and very long lasting. but, just spray two times per use. otherwise, you might getting dizzy.

catapult

this lacks something.I adore lilacs but this one has something missing. Its cold and too fresh.

Trvevil

Luckily in this one there aren't much blackcurrants. I mostly feel lily and ylang ylang and peonies. There's also something woody that reminds me maple 'flowers' or whatever.. This one is very floral and quite light to be worn at summer. For me it's quite special because of unusual for me maple smell in it. The maple on me smells very leaf like and reminds me the smell of autumn especially after 2 hours. Sillage is best first hour then in kinda settles down, but not completely shy close to skin. Lasting power is average. While middle note phase I was walking home and thinking what exactly I have there I thought- it smells like exotic flowers. While flowers aren't so exotic if look at the notes, but that's anyway interesting. Bottle is nice (I like the color), but I think it should be colored reflecting maple leaf color in fall season, since it smells like it so much. Also I agree that it's not that intense as name states

sweet_escape

when my mom got this, i was about 16. Somehow it made its way onto my dresser...and i doused myself in it daily. At the time, i just wanted A scent to call my own. Today, i consider it to be way too floral and fresh for my taste.

virginia

Juicy, bursting with sweet blackcurrants. Their intensity drowns out the floral notes (apropos the previous review, I personally can't smell any lily-of-the-valley at all!). The fruit note is so realistic that I can almost taste it, and kudos to Estee for that -- but the fragrance is too flat. If it had a melody, it would be moody and monotonous, in a minor key. Glum plum.

leonora84

For me, this is the ultimate lily of the valley-fragrance. This is one my skin a juicy-fresh-tart sigle note of this flower, which lasts and lasts.
This is not a man-magnet on my skin, it rather brings me comlpiments from women, so I think it is a perfect fragrance when I want to earn sympathy, or for go shopping with friends. Not a scent for seduction, for me, even if I originally tought, that it will be something seductive. It whispers purity, freshness, nice-ness, a groomed feminity bottled. I think I should wear french manicure with swarovsky crystals and a peach-colured kashmere top, and so on, with this scent. Even if it doesn't attract men ( in my case), I like it. My best friends and my mom loves this scent on me, so I use it for them and for myself.

fruttella

It is such an alluring scent. Smells like grapefruit and a touch of pepper in the beginning to me but not surprisingly there is none of these ingredients in the pyramid. The peony and lilly give the real cool elegancy of the scent, it's kind of bold and sexy elegance. The floral notes touch my nose so so delicately that I really feel like drinking a fresh juice !!! I am wearing it in winter and it makes me feel quite comfortable, optimistic and open-hearted.

alicektn

It's quite strange, not necessarily in a bad way.

On my skin it smelled mostly like candied strawberries and flowers, which is not really my taste.

andreapaz2008

To much floral.

I tested this one and I like Pleasures Delight better. With that said, this one is ok but nothing special. Definitely better than beyond paradise, of course anything's better than b. paradise (yuk). I think that's the worst floral perfume I've ever smelled and the worst from Estee Lauder so far that I've tested.

i have a small sample of this and i like it, i prefer this one to the original, though i like the whole line, exotic, delight.. etc. its very intensive and special, and unique, very floral but have sg new and different in it not like the original, thats a bit too flowery for m taste

fresh and floral.you can be a walking flower garden when you wear this parfume.pleasures is for your mother, but pleasures intense is for you!younger, energising and maybe sexy.

Smells like peonies, like the original Pleasures, but there's something else in it that makes it smell. . . cooler? Is it the styrax?

I like it on the initial spray, and for about 2 hours afterwards, and then. . . had to wash it off. Too floral. And I'm just not a floral gal.

This is gorgeous. It's not as intense as its title. Infact, it's quite lovely and romantic. Remind me of J'adore of Dior, but not exactly the same. It doesn't smell like original pleasure at all. They should give another name for it. I'm getting bore with the bottle.
