in the 4 years i have had this scent, it does not seem to have lost its potency tho i am less critical of it.
i get the aggressive type of opening that i associate witih amouage, initio, neshane, mancera, etc. lots of sweet over incense. the blend seems to have melded into blast for the nose.

dry down mellows nicely, tho it is hard to say a development but seems to me more of the opening dialed down to something more embracing

It smells like black Phantom but with a fresher take on the coffee note and a sweeter take on the boozy note.

Performs really well on clothes with moderate projection.

Well worth the price.

Very good fragnance. I have the first version which is the strongest. I can feel the rum which brings me cosy and warm feeling. I can say it last long and it is unisex. Budget alternative of Black Phantom By Kilian. Maybe better to wear in cold weather.

Smoother and sweeter than Black Phantom, but very similar scent profiles. I honestly prefer this because it lacks the harshness that Black Phantom has. The booziness in this also sticks around for a bit longer so that's a plus! Definitely will be getting this once I run out of Black Phantom

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. This was already in my cart when I went to go purchase some samples, but I'm unsure why as this scent profile doesn't seem like one I would be interested in trying? Either way, I left it in the cart to try something different. That being said, though this is described as an amber woody (which I DO like) I was anticipating something more gourmand (hit or miss for me) from the notes. I think this toes the line between those two without making me feel like I'm covered in a sweet baked good in the opening of this scent.

As the caramel, dark chocolate and rum melt away, the liminal space between opening and mid notes is punctuated by subtle whiffs of coffee. It settles, eventually, into a smooth creamy ylang-ylang, then vanilla/patchouli/sandalwood. The patchouli is minimal and comes more to me fresh and slightly minty, enough to sort of give life to the vanilla (which my nose is not ever really excited by).

I don't think I would buy this myself, but it's quite a lovely and warm scent. It's cold out now, but I wonder how this one will perform on me in warmer temperatures.

This is a good one, at least my batch from a few years ago. It is long lasting, good smelling frag. BP dupe. However, it does stain, and the liquid is sticky. I have also heard that the batches are inconsistent.

How can it be compared to Black Phantom I cannot begin to understand. BP is one of my favourites fragrances, this one is a scrub off for me. It is cloyingly sweet and has some nauseating notes.

Very feminine fragrance. Heads up. If you like masculine fragrances, you will not like this one at all. However, this is a gorgeous scent that I would love to smell on my woman. Glad I ordered a sample because the notes looked amazing. 100% a quality fragrance. I smell absolutely no peanut butter note, so I’m not sure who said that lol.. it’s a very sweet / gourmond fragrance. This would go great on a powerful executive woman in her 30’s - 40’s. I hope these words can help someone before they pay that price. Go to LuckyScent, that’s what I do.

Beautiful fragrance, boozy opening followed by an immediate coffee burst, leaves sweet, nutty trail.
Definitely expected it to be more sharp but it turns out to be an amazing rounded and balanced luxurious scent, not too masculine, not too heavy.
Looking forward to winter time so it can bring out even more of that comfy, drinking hot chocolate with rum by the fireplace feeling ❤️

Milky nutty scent. Something very dry and sweet about it and kind of creamy at the same time. This is sharp, and a bit more harsh compared to Black Phantom by Kilian, not an exact representation IMO. However, if you're looking for a monstrous performer, a sweet gourmand complex blend that's a bit more youthful and screechy in that same genre of scents, then this can be it. 6.5/10

An exactly dupe of Black Phantom, probably even more long lasting. Its boozy, rich in patchouli-rum. Dark chocolate that’s been caramel-dipped. In a way it does remind me of Reese’s peanut butter cups. The scent trail for this is amazing.

But I’m afraid that I’d be nauseated by this if I wear it too often. It is quite good though.

Strong and potent perfume. Interesting and thick smell. Also complex. For the price of £29 for 50ml I can't even think of a fragrance as good as this one.
Last over 12h on skin and projects like there's no tomorrow.

Very impressive scent. Strong, you barely need 3 spritzes to feel it all day long (or if you touch the spritzer, you can smell in on your fingers for a while 😁). Rich, dark, sweet, intoxicating. Addicting even.
At the same time, it contains something that almost makes me feel disgust, especially the final notes, after some 7 hours, remind of some savoury spices maybe. So it is slightly nauseating yet addicting at the same time. Yet it creates a lovely warm bubble around you :)
Despite the notes, it is not a completely gourmand scent, rather a very rich dark warm sticky sweet sexy yet a bit harsh type of scent.
Reminds of Klian - Black Phantom, but not too much.

I go nose blind to it but people give me compliments all the time I thought it had weak performance/ projection but people say I smell good so as a compliment fragrance it does it’s job I love the opening by the way

Is it me but does anybody else get a peanut and jelly/jam vibe with on the opening? The description of what I smell escaped me as soon as I got it but I believe the ylang and the woodiness layered within the chocolate, caramel and rum gives it this interesting scent of this thick jam like sweetness. It gives it this type of earthy, at home and cozy vibe.
It doesn’t smell as luxurious or sexy as BP which in a way makes it just feel like a cheap clone, but actually if you think about it as a pure comfortable gourmand, it fulfills that role along with BP. It feels very comfy and loving in that sense.
Considering the price, which was only 50$, I’m pretty comfy warming up to myself over here.

Strange scent. I can't say it's bad, but it's not super attractive and irresistible either. I can smell the coffee, maybe a rum latte. There is some heavy sweetness mixed with a slight freshness, but derived from heavy chemistry. I get a slight aftertaste of something like an acetone-menthol scent. Also a little smell of fresh earth. I can't associate the scent with any specific perfume because I have no basis for comparison. The scent also has a calming effect. Definitely not a mainstream fragrance.
Edit: The scent has evolved and the longevity and presence has grown. I am satisfied and raise the given rating for the perfume.

For a begining lets make it clear that this is realy dark fragrance and thru those "glasses" you can watch all the notes of this parfume.Mostly I feel sandalwood and coffe.Chocolate is in behind but dark one,darkest that you ever smelled.There is honey in the photo representing this parfume so you assume that this is sweet in that direction but no.This is "semi sweet" to me or is it my batch🤷People say its a "dupe" of Black Phantom...It's like somebody with "dark mind" copied BP. Projection is not that strong but longevity is eternal. Let's say it's a 10/10.
P.S I edited my grades since I wore it more and it's longevity and dry down got impact on me very positivley.Price/quality is just great.

A ton of my favorite notes in this, so I was very excited to sample, but I'm not really getting any of them. Very heavy on the patchouli and wood from first sniff through to dry down. Not bad necessarily, just not really what I wanted.

Don't bother to buy this one. It's a cheap smelling horrendous knock-off of Black Phantom.

I am a bit disappointed, was looking forward to the combination of notes but the blend in this fragrance is unplaceable from the beginning, cannot tell the notes apart, in a bad way. After drying you can kind of pick on the vanilla and a faint chocolate, but no trace of anything else. The sillage is also quite soft. Maybe is just my personal taste and skin, I see people compare it to Black Phantom and that is also a no no for me from Kilian, which is a lot to say because I love the brand. Would not recommend blind buying.

Incredible. Very well blended. Strong on performance and sillage. Stays on clothes for days. For that price/31€/ it’s impossible to find anything better.

It smells like a mocha/vanilla latte was stored in a sandalwood rum barrel. The ylang ylang comes across a bit sour at the beginning of the scent for me, but it's a rich ylang that adds something to it, not discordant at all. The patchouli and cedar give it a bit of a peppery hit every once in a while. It ends with a heavy sandalwood after about 6-7 hours and stays that way until it wears off. That's how it smells to my nose. I'm not sure if it's a copy of Black Phantom, because they were being concocted at the same time, but everyone will have their own idea as to that. This is an extrait, thus it doesn't project as much on me but it's eternal on my skin. The juice looks black in the bottle, but in the light it's a dark purple and it does stain light clothing. Gorgeous sweater weather fragrance, although I'll wear it when I get the urge. You can't beat the price, quality is great.

I am so moved by this composition. I’m not sure why, exactly, since none of these notes are at all unusual in relation to each other, no deviations from what I usually reach for. Totally linear on me, the same as it starts all the way through, which is to say, for about four hours.

It’s dark and soft. There is a startling synthetic element to my nose. I keep thinking of fresh office carpeting. Not industrial cleaning supply, but fiber. Beautiful, rich natural materials, but still, something undeniably inorganic underneath, and I’m not sure what. It’s hard for me to pick apart smaller individual notes here because it’s so well blended. I am burying my nose into my wrist trying to get to the heart of what’s truest and most intoxicated, and to stay there. Lacquered woods. Patchouli in the polished perfumery way, you might not even notice it’s there. It’s real, expensive Cuban rum that you shouldn’t even have in your possession, sugary caramel molasses and a big sticky vanilla bean in a yellow flower crown. It’s the 90s before the embargo was lifted. You spilled it on the floor, you dropped your glass, you pushed everything off the desk in a silly fit of passion like they do in the movies. You stayed late, it shouldn’t have happened, but it was the natural conclusion of a long, slow burn and the night views from the big windows of the corner suite were just dazzling, you lost your head for a moment. It smells exactly as good as the anticipation of sexual tension which is always better than the realizing of the actual deed.

I’ve never tested Black Phantom. I don’t know anything about a reformulation but my juice is purple, for whatever that’s worth to someone who does know. I think I’d prefer this on a partner but I don’t tell others what to do so I’ll wear it myself. Sure, probably best in the winter, but again, this is not big on rules and regulations. Love.

Smells amazing. So under the radar. Worth every penny.

It really is a very good copy of Black Phantom. Scent is very long lasting and similar to the original, given that you have no problem with the synthetic opening. It's grown on me over time, almost to the point of wondering if I'll ever be repurchasing Black Phantom in the future. It lasts longer, that's for sure.

If you love BP, but can't afford it, put your nose on this one, I'm sure you'll love it too. Just don't go about telling people you're wearing Black Phantom when you're wearing it, don't be pretentious ( I know people who say they wear Aventus when they're wearing CDNIM).
As others have mentioned, the brand is a joke for deleting negative/criticism comments and the vast majority of +comments are sponsored, this is the only downside for me. But the scent is good value.

I have to warn though that the customer service is TERRIBLE. I received my bottle with a broken cap and a terribly strong smell of glue but the support doesn't help me. All they do is say "we will get in touch shortly", yet they never do....

The support never replied back, despite me reminding them. This company is obviously not serious and I would NOT recommend anyone buying from them, as you might run into trouble and just get left hanging.

So I finally got this and I have to say I really don’t like this fragrance. It’s has this funny smell like a rotten coffee and BO mixed together. Compared to black phantom, black phantom is much more better and more creamier.
I have to say both fragrances are very masculine imo.
This is also not a safe blind buy.

Hard to pick notes,overall soft sweet scent with some sugarcacao vibe. Longevity is ok,but projection is kind of weak. Not a loud fragrance for the club,more for a date. For the price is a good fragrance,but you shoud go with 1million or Ultramale if you want the real sweet bomb.

This is the funny story: The perfume came just in time for presents of St. Nicolas - people in Europe will know what I talk about. St. Nicolas (in USA Santa Claus), who has his nameday on 6 Dec, brings presents to children at the Eve of his nameday - on 5 Dec.
So I came into the office in the morning, and I just found a little dark chocolate stick filled with chocolate-rum filling on my table, together with the package, which contained this perfume. The little chocolate originated from our boss, never mind. But the coincidence 😁🤭!!! The notes you feel when you spray this perfume, are just the same: dark bitter chocolate, boozy rum, aromatic coffee. Something what reminds me of Black Opium and its flankers. Just way more sophisticated and more professional. In fact, it was so yummy, that my empty stomach started to protest - so I ate that chocolate stick right away 😁.
As the perfume dries down, you smell a sweet caramely caffe latte, with lots of milk. The rum and coffee are now somewhere in the background, the milk, vanilla and caramel came forward. OK, if a concentrate a lot at sniffing my wrist, I still detect a chocolate. Somewhere. A bit of cedar peeping through. Sandalwood and patch not detectable, but this overal depth of the caffe latte is definitely there. If you are experienced enough, you know it must be the woods. All in all, it is blended beautifully.

And it was a blind buy. And I even do not know Killian's Black Phantom. But I know Killian as a House - it is one of my favourite houses anyway. So I knew I can't really go wrong with this perfume, if it really resembles BPh. It is just beautiful scent, excellent blending - yes, repeating myself - but it is. If you like Black Opium, Prada Candy, or any pretty Vanillas, like TF Vanille Tobacco, or Xerjoff Bouquet Ideale, give this a try. You really cannot spoil anything. Very good perfume 👍

Smells like black phantom. This is more green, masculine and not so gourmandy. I prefer BP.

There is change on the box and juice color. Hopefully not on performance. The box says just perfume. Used to be extrait de perfume. Will update in a few days

Managed to get hold of a bottle and I am very pleased with it. I love Black Phantom and to be honest I cannot tell it apart from Insomnia when smelling both hands. To me they are very similar. Insomnia is a beast of a fragrance and fills your space so be very sparing with the sprayer. I really like the chocolate covered caramels and woody dry down. This fragrance is perfect for autumn and winter. So pleased I got a bottle.

This is a fantastic Clone/Inspired by Fragrance of Black Phantom by Kilian. The let down is the Customer service from the owner. If you mention it smells like Black Phantom or comment on his new fragrance being way overpriced on any social media he removes your comments and then blocks you. Very sad way of working really. Especially when there are sites like this to let people know what they are like. I wouldn't ever buy from them again knowing this as its really not professional which makes me question the whole brand.

I have bought Black Phantom, and while the smell is amazing, the projection and longevity are subpar. So I wanted to order this as well, since it's voted as a veritable Beast Mode fragrance. It arrived in 2-3 days in Romania.

The smell is great, similar to Black Phantom, almost the same if you go by memory. Black Phantom is a little bit more masculine, and the coffee is stronger in it, like the taste of a ristretto vs the taste of an americano. Insomnia is a little bit sweeter, and definitely perfectly unisex (Black phantom is 55% male, 45% female). Quality is really good, unexpected from a new Bulgarian niche house. Versatility is ... well, it depends how often you go on dates or you want to smell sexy. Can easily be worn at night every season.

In terms of projection and longevity, this is better than Black Phantom, but not really as good as the votes here reflect. Honestly, I don't know what people are voting as eternal/enormous nowadays, do they use like 30 sprays? It seems common sense to me that an eternal/enormour fragrance is something like Baccarat Rouge Extrait, which fills any room with a max of 5 sprays.

Please don’t listen to the negative reviews on this! The folks that are saying this smells nothing like BP, are either lying or being delusional. I tell you what, buy this for 80.00 plus expedited shipping and then buy a decant of BP for about 50.00 and you’ll see for yourself. This is a must have if you like the scent profile of BP.

An overall good one in terms of projection and longevity. However , for the ones comparing it to BP this is an insult for Kilian. Someone said if you like Bp you're gonna love this one. I say if you like Bp ,you are going to hate this one. They are miles away in terms of quality.

Worst wanna be perfume. Has very good advertising, because they delete negative comments. It smells like ''cotton candy'' and "raid aerosol". Yes it is long lasting and strong, but 50% people don't like it. Still for that money you could buy something much better. Definitely would not recommend to anyone unless you want to smell like a homeless pirate who slept in sugar.

Love it!! Tried Black Phantom by Killian and Dark Knight by Alexandria Fragrances and this is the closest to BP as you can get. Just a wonderful scent that last for hours and hours and leaves a nice sillage! Very gourmandy with a peanut butter note (which only exists to my nose!) that keeps it from going too sweet. I blind bought a 50ml bottle and so happy I did!!

I think I first saw this advertised on Facebook a few months ago and bought blind. It was a good buy as really love this gourmand fragrance. Beast of a perfume - amazing longevity and good projection. Probably best for evening wear and for the colder months.

I bought this perfume for my mom for Christmas because she likes it ( I personally don’t - too synthetic with fake notes of caramel and cannot feel coffee at all).
After I received an order I have noticed I accidentally ordered two perfumes. This is where fun started and I realised how awful their customer service people are. I sent them to emails asking if I can send unopened bottle back for a refund. Nobody got back to me and in a weeks time I went on a live chat on their website just to be met by disgusting attitude. I have been they need to discuss it with me as due to corona it is very hard for them to accept a return. Then they said they will be in contact shortly and advised me to be patient then disconnected from chat all together 😂😂 what a joke. They never got back to me. I sent another email and tried to get on live chat again but nobody got back to me now its been over a month. I never write reviews but this attitude as a customer has been nothing but disgusting.

I like this fragrance. The ingredients are quality and well balanced. They smell natural and calm. Smooth. Buuuut! I wish the wet rum note in the opening lasted the life of the fragrance. Its gone in under 60 seconds. Performance is just ok. Its a good powdery fragrance worth the price. But Im searching for an alternative.

Ordered in Germany , was weak communication with the seller but got the fragrance in 1 week or so . Was a blind buy based on Instagram review. Gave it to my daughter, not for mature woman:), I smell chocolate all the time with that fragrance , it’s for clubbing .

Definitely a clone of Black Phantom and a very good one. They're very close so if you like and want Black Phantom but don't have the budget, get Insomnia. If you already have Black Phantom then Insomnia is a John Stockton pass...

I should have read some reviews on shipping issues before I had ordered. It’s been a month and I haven’t received my order. I have reached out to them through their website and each time they give a link which doesn’t work. I’m thinking I may have been scammed. However, I went through their official website. Very poor service and response. I may have to go through my bank to get the refund. Please do your research before buying.

Ok I did a side by side comparison, on one hand I had Black Phantom, on the other hand Insomnia. Was trying hard to sniff the difference, but couldn't. Maybe after a few hours BP had a little more bitterness than Insomnia, but I'd say by 1%, so you need to dig your nose deep to notice it.
Insomnia has a better longevity than BP, but I don't want to claim this, because sprayers may release different amounts of perfume.
What I don't understand is how they did it? It is not listed as a 'clone', nor 'inspires by' and the company is very proud of this perfume, but I still don't get how can you make such a similar perfume with same (quality) ingredients and notes blend, I'm puzzled. In any case, if you have one, you don't need the other one in your collection.

Had the same exact issues described below with mail and packaging issues. Took almost 2 months to reach me, company support was responsive at first and then gradually started ignoring messages/emails. If you take a close look at the inside of the bottle, at the bottom of the inside chamber where the liquid is, it's uneven. Not sure if intentional or just quality control. Overall my experience with everything EXCEPT THE FRAGRANCE ITSELF is quite poor.

The scent:
A rich, deep scent with a huge note of caramel. The "ylang-ylang"/vanilla on top of the caramel push this slightly in feminine territory but the base of the fragrance moves the entire thing back to unisex. Not overly complex and not challenging at all.

Immediate projection is huge and gradually shrinks. Was getting small hints of it in the air after about 8 hours.

Scent Rating overall, considering the price but NOT considering the surrounding issues with shipping/packaging: 7/10

@Dryasiulia - my package was also a taped up paper bag. But mine had been confiscated by customs in Switzerland. So after waiting nearly two months I received an empty paper bag with tape around it and a notice of confiscation. Lovely.

This took nearly 8 weeks to reach me. And while some of it can probably be blamed on the USPS mess, a lot of it is the fault of the company. You can’t internationally ship a boxed perfume by rolling it up in a gift bag, handles STILL ATTACHED to the gift bag, and then cover areas, not even the entire “package” in shipping tape.

They shipped me two (another when the first was so late) “both” arrived on the same day...one - I’m assuming the first — was just an empty bag. I guess it fell out of the super pro packaging somewhere over the two months?

It does smell very similar to the current black phantom. Black Phantom is better. It is also dark black and caused mild skin irritation after testing.

I can’t recommend a company that can’t put something in a box before they ship it overseas. Or at least an actual package bag/envelope. I’m assuming they successfully got it to the people shilling it on Instagram and this site...it’s not super complicated logistics.

Took 5 weeks to reach me, which is okay due to the fact that I live at the top of the world and between Covid 19 , DeJoy the Post Master General and Trump its inevitable.

This is a very sexy scent. It dried down on me less sweet and more animalic. It started out as gourmand with great projection. I did get an "Oh my God, what are you wearing, I like that". So expect people to violate your personal space and not stand 6 feet away on their square.

6 hours later I could still smell Insomnia on me and now it was much sweeter - all of the animal like smell was gone, it was smokey and sweet. 9.25/10. There is nothing I do not like about it.

Okay, I have black phantom and I compared both of them side by side on a paper, and on my skin, there is no doubt black phantom is superior, or lets put it this way its a more natural scent, specifically in the opening!!

Still, the overall scent is not %100 similar to black phantom, Insomnia in the drydown is more woody, earthy, and slightly darker, thanks to sandalwood and patchouli in the base, also the booziness in Insomnia is slightly heavier than a black phantom.

Overall, Insomnia is a good one for the price and for the nice bottle design!!
If you like BP then you have to try this.

All my mail has slowed down. In Alaska if you are an Amazon Prime Member it takes up to 2 months to get a purchase, longer if you are not a member although if they have it in their Seattle Warehouse its only 10 days. Flights coming here from the lesser 48 stop in Seattle before going to Anchorage, and then put into little planes to go to villages.

I received this in the US in August 2020 about one month after ordering it.

This is a rather sweet, gourmand, evening-suited fragrance with extremely strong and intense projection for the first several hours. One spray will fill an entire house. I applied this outside and my wife yelled at me inside two hours later, exasperated and asking me “Why have you been spraying so much cologne in our bedroom!??? Smells like you dumped the whole bottle in here!” Hehe. It’s strong. It projects far and hangs in the air like a large cloud. It has an exceptionally rich, warm, and buttery smell that envelopes the composition. It feels plush, smooth and silky and rich and soft. I don’t get any harsh notes, or abrasive synthetic chemicals. It’s a big, strong fragrance but it doesn’t seem to rely on heavy overdoses of aroma chemicals and fixatives to achieve its strength. And if it does, it manages, somehow, to feel completely smooth and rounded in the end. From the buttery, warm, gourmand glow that leads, certain notes start to develop and take form: a rich, vanilla-caramel with a very edible, gourmand appeal: along with it the impression of benzoin with a subtly spicy sassafras or cola note just making itself visible enough to count (it’s like the Coke accord in Enigma but more subtle); and blended into the entire mix a sweetened chocolate note. There are also some other notes at work, not as obvious but lending character and contributing to the whole. For example, I don’t pick up on a coffee note immediately, or obviously , but if I hone in on it there actually is a soft, roasted component that conveys coffee. Similarly, this is not a boozy fragrance, but there’s a hint of booze in the air, as if someone somewhere in the same room as you is having a drink. The insane projection finally settles in around 3 or 4 hours, it’s still very present and noticeable but it’s no longer beastly, which is a good thing. Insomnia seems like something to wear on a night out, or outside when it’s cool. It will be noticed and it should attract attention Its intensity and style makes it feel unsuited to wear to a regular day job, but in light doses it could be used for leisure activities. This is just my first impression of Insomnia. Overall, I like this and now need to experiment a little with spraying in different amounts (less) and in different places. Three sprays on the wrists was way too much. Next time I’ll try one spray to the back of my neck. For now, I want to rate this a solid 8 out of 10, but it has room to become a 9 as well. This is a well made fragrance and it doesn’t feel cheap or poorly crafted. On the contrary, it’s a rich, luxurious gourmand with a deep, enveloping smell.

The first tracking number was send was for the previous carrier so I contacted person who promised me on Fragrantica and he sent to me within 20 hours the DHL tracking number and I tried it on the DHL website, it was working and guess what the shipment is now in the US at Ohio distribution center, still need to be distributed and then delivered but waw this is so fast, I would like to thank the person (Sezer Sabah) who contacted since I post my comment here he took a step forward and assured me that this is not scam but it's issues with shipping to the US and also I wanna apologies for calling this scam but that's what it was looks like, there was no response in chat service provided by their website and no response when I replied to the tracking info, also I talked to a couple of friends and all of them they didn't receive it.

I hope the company start to deal with DHL for the shipments, I have noticed many big perfume companies in Europe they are using DHL like Xerjoff in Italy and SweDoft in Sweden. I will be happy to pay for shipping upfront if this is how fast it will be with DHL.

Also please activate the chat service on the website, if no body answering then please just turn it off or you can put the time when someone available to respond.

Got it last week took 3 weeks to get to ireland. It had the weirdest packaging I've ever seen on a fragrance the box was bubble wrapped then put in a white paper bag and rolled up and taped.it definitely smells similar to black phantom.to be honest 69 euro is too expensive for this. I have black phantom and the perfume Parlour version for 20 euro and cant tell the difference between insomnia and the perfume Parlour one save your money.

Lots of red flags ... multiple tracking numbers and purported reshipments.

For ME in particular, NOT receiving a tracking number / shipment confirmation until after requesting weeks later is definitely poor service, THEN finally receiving that tracking number only to see a "Bulgarian" parcel going from Switzerland to Nigeria is quite unusual. BIG RED FLAG.

Impatient? Nah, just concerned and as a community we're asking the questions. Dontchya know how scams work? They run it as long as possible with lots of smoke and mirrors and defer / delay / deflect techniques until a PATTERN appears amongst those deceived.

And NO, I am NOT saying this is a scam (to be determined), I am simply totally rebuking your post. Maybe it's not a scam, maybe it's simple incompetence and now we'll all spend lots of wasted time over many weeks trying to get refunds. Waiting for a new tracking number, writing follow-up emails ... heck my special bottle will do great traveling around Africa for a month in the heat. Parfum loves high heat.

For a business to offer free worldwide shipping to boost sales, get a nice editorial on the leading fragrance website to stimulate business and create instant demand from trusting collectors, then claim "I had no idea shipping to the biggest market in the world would be an issue" is just plain indefensible nonsense.

i live in sofia and was able to get a bottle of insomnia at the martinez perfume shop here.

i have only worn it once. definitely a bomb. mixed feelings: over-the-top gourmand, the wearer becomes a chocolate covered candy. probably suitable for young noses and especially smokers. lots going on--imagine walking into perfume department of a high street department store and spraying a lot of each perfume at the same time.

not to say that it is all bad, after all being a frag head, new and different fragrance is exciting. but i will have to figure out just when i want the experience again.

SHIPPING ISSUES:
perfumes in and out of bulgaria are traditionally a problem. shipments via postal service are horrendously slow. i have waited up to 4 months. bulgarian courier services/post are poorly organized and inventively incompetent--even dhl and fedex share abysmal service.

i suspect this brand is trying to find its way onto the international marketplace with an image of glamorous sophistication which may be beyond its current capabilities.

for those who want something that is (shockingly) different this is one for a collection. for those who want to make a STATEMENT, this should be a must.

Based on the other reviews here i recommend holding off on buying this. I'm so disappointed.

EDIT: I had my doubts because there were no replies to any of my e-mails reaching out for help and also no help on the website's chat service. However, I retract my statement about holding off on buying because I finally did get a response from the company today. They were helpful and provided new tracking information.

EDIT #2: Got mine today! I'm excited to wear this for fall its sweet, deep, cozy, boozy with a woody, patch, and ylang-ylang dry down. The top notes I can only distinguish the "rum" which smells more to me like cognac or bourbon but its delicious the chocolate, caramel, and coffee are blended into one dark delicious accord to me and my nose. Also, the bottle is beautiful and the juice is beautiful too, clear glass with the juice itself being a dark purple brown almost black.

Great. I ordered two bottles several weeks ago. I hope this isn’t a scam. The thing is, I spoke to someone in Canada who actually received a bottle. But ll update when I look into it too.

UPDATE: It looks like they sent me tracking several days ago and that the package is moving. It’s all in Russian so I’m not 100% on the translation but it appears to be progressing. I’ll update this in a few days too.

I have to confirm that this heavily resembles Kilian's Black Phantom but for the fraction of the price. I wouldn't say that it is an original fragrance because of that but it is indeed of good quality so you should check it out.

Edit: I just realized that they pumped up the prices as I remember it being sold for 25-30 euros (here in Bulgaria, where it originated from) and now it's being sold for 70 euros.

This reminds me a lot of Black Phantom by Kilian. It has a prominent dark chocolate, with caramel and rum note with an undertone of coffee, vanilla and sandalwood. Insomnia is a great gourmand, unisex maybe a bit feminine and to me more likeable than the Black Phantom which is more powdery and cloying.

Performance is great, over 8 hours of longevity and very good projection. This is a cold weather scent, in a warm day it could be very cloying. It's great for a night out, maybe for a date! It opens really nice with chocolate and rum, it's a thick, complicated scent but it doesn't develop a lot over time.

If you like gourmands you should check this out. I can find this in a great price and if you want something like Black Phantom this is in my opinion a better pick.

Update: I guess a lot have shipping problems. Be careful!

Perhaps one of the most underappreciated gems?
It's full-on caramel, whiskey, bitter chocolate from the opening. Gourmand, but the bitter chocolate balances well with the sweet caramel. Coffee and a hint of vanilla swaying in the back. it's simplistic, but it dries down with lots of coffee and sandalwood supporting the heavy top notes. I don't detect a whole lot of vanilla, ylang-ylang, or patchouli, but that isn't necessarily bad. This fragrance does wonders during social events, a subtle breeze is its favorite accompaniment, this is passion in a bottle!

I did a blind buy with this. Absolute perfection. Smells like pure,enjoyable sex with loved one. Sillage and longevity are unbeatable amazing ! A little goes a long way, 2 sprays max. Insomnia is one of the most interesting fragrances I will ever own. I never use these words often.... absolutely a masterpiece 🖤🖤🖤

I'm glad to be the first one that shares some words here about Insomnia by Faviol Seferi.

In in a short - Insomnia is great night out powerful scent, perfect for clubbing, going to a bar, having date and so on.
The key words here are - seductive spicy vanilla, creamy woody vibe, bold dark chocolate type of patchouli and amazing aged rum / bourbon whiskey accord.
To me, Insomnia is unique fragrance, because it got seductive and alluring character, but it doesn't smell too sweet or overwhelming in gourmand direction.

In Insomnia I feel very well blended notes, like they are talking to each other and the result is stunning. I'm sure people who love spicy rum aroma will gone mad this scent. But the good thing is the complexity is sill there. The creamy woody accords are prominent from the start till the end of it's scent life.

So, people who are looking at the pyramid and thinking: "Oh wow! This will be amazing sweet and gourmand scent!" will be partly disappointed. To me, Insomnia is not true gourmand fragrance, despite all the yummy notes.
I also sense some spices like cinnamon, but it's softly input. You know when you smell quality glass of aged rum or bourbon whisky - you can smell the spicy vanilla, the cinnamon, the sweet/caramel aspect. In Insomnia is the same and that's why I love it. Nothing artificial of cheap Tonka Bean smelling.

The performance is great - all day longevity with powerful projection.

Well, I think they both got something common, but they have some clear differences as well. I don't consider Insomnia as a copy of Black Phantom in any meaning.
The similarity between them is giving me the right to tell only if someone likes one of them, there is a big chance to like the other one too. But they got differences for sure.
Black Phantom is more focus on chocolate-gourmand-nutty aspect and Insomnia is more thick and dark, focused on woody-boozy aroma.
When I think of Black Phantom I think of the perfect and amazing piece of Tiramisu, but when I think of Insomnia, I think of top quality glass of Rum.

In conclusion - Insomnia is a great night out scent, that will make your night adventures more juicy :) It will got compliments for you for sure.
